- 0:01Speaker 1: Here comes Trek's School from the Tigers back on FT.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Good to see you, Trek. How's the season going for you, man?
- 0:07Speaker 2: It's going well, it's going well. Thanks for having me, yeah,
- 0:10Speaker 2: of course.
- 0:11Speaker 1: So first off, just team wise, I mean, you guys
- 0:13Speaker 1: were off to a blazing start, went through a little
- 0:16Speaker 1: bit of a rough patch around the All Star break,
- 0:18Speaker 1: and now I've picked things back up. Do you like,
- 0:22Speaker 1: you know, do you like looking behind you and saying, okay,
- 0:25Speaker 1: you know, we got to make sure that we get
- 0:27Speaker 1: ourselves to October in a good place where you get
- 0:29Speaker 1: a little heat from a team like Cleveland that's now
- 0:32Speaker 1: playing well. Or would you rather be in total cruise
- 0:35Speaker 1: control mode where you're just prepping for October.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I don't know. I haven't really thought about either of
- 0:42Speaker 2: those things. I think, you know, what our team needs
- 0:46Speaker 2: to do is just focus on ourselves, and you know,
- 0:49Speaker 2: you know, me focus on myself when I'm at my best.
- 0:51Speaker 2: You know, I like our team's odds of winning that day.
- 0:56Speaker 2: But yeah, I haven't even really looked at the standings
- 0:58Speaker 2: too much or kind of what's going around the league.
- 1:00Speaker 2: I've kind of just been focused on what our team's
- 1:02Speaker 2: doing and getting back to playing the baseball. You know,
- 1:05Speaker 2: I think that we all know we're capable of.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Hey, hey, Scoops.
- 1:09Speaker 4: We It's always fun to watch you in action. Man,
- 1:11Speaker 4: you know you're my guy. But one thing I've never
- 1:14Speaker 4: asked you is when you're on, when you're you know,
- 1:16Speaker 4: when you are you know, have that rhythm, you find
- 1:19Speaker 4: that spot, Like, what does that feel like exactly out there?
- 1:22Speaker 3: Like what does it feel like for you to be
- 1:24Speaker 3: like locked in?
- 1:24Speaker 4: Can you explain that to like the fans maybe just
- 1:27Speaker 4: to give them a little insight of being in that moment.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I think for me, when I'm at my best,
- 1:32Speaker 2: it's pretty simple. When I'm out there, it's, uh, you know,
- 1:35Speaker 2: you hear the pitch com and the next thing that
- 1:39Speaker 2: goes through your mind is kind of for me, I
- 1:41Speaker 2: I have, you know, sights of where I want to
- 1:44Speaker 2: start pitches, you know, depending on what the pitch com is.
- 1:47Speaker 2: So you hear it, and then I look at where
- 1:49Speaker 2: I want to throw the ball, and then I throw it.
- 1:50Speaker 2: You know, that's It's It's really that simple when I
- 1:53Speaker 2: when I'm rolling and I'm at my best. And I
- 1:56Speaker 2: think a lot of people are at their best when
- 1:58Speaker 2: they keep the game simple. There's a lot of stuff
- 1:59Speaker 2: that can come okay things throughout a game, but when
- 2:03Speaker 2: I'm at my best, it really is just pitch calm. Okay,
- 2:06Speaker 2: I got my sights on this. I'm gonna throw the
- 2:07Speaker 2: hell out of this ball to that spot.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:11Speaker 4: So let me ask you, on the other hand, when
- 2:13Speaker 4: you very rarely give up a run, because you know,
- 2:15Speaker 4: I see looking on your face sometimes in disbelief, when
- 2:18Speaker 4: you very rarely give up give up a run, how
- 2:21Speaker 4: do you flesh it right for the guys who are
- 2:24Speaker 4: the young guys are dombin out there? Like, how do
- 2:25Speaker 4: you flushing to get right back on track and not
- 2:28Speaker 4: you know, let that moment become too big for you?
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yeah? I think you know. I I immediately go and
- 2:36Speaker 2: check my process, like was I one hundred percent bought
- 2:38Speaker 2: in on throwing this pitch? Or was there any sort
- 2:40Speaker 2: of hesitant you know, maybe I wanted to go somewhere else,
- 2:43Speaker 2: or or I was worried about leaving the ball middle
- 2:47Speaker 2: instead of trying to execute the ball away. So that's
- 2:51Speaker 2: kind of what I do, is I just look back
- 2:52Speaker 2: in my process, like, Okay, was I bought in on
- 2:54Speaker 2: that pitch? Yes? Okay, onto the next one like who cares?
- 2:57Speaker 2: If I wasn't bought into that pitch, then then that's
- 2:59Speaker 2: when you to flip the switch and be like, Okay,
- 3:01Speaker 2: let's get back to what makes me good. And that's
- 3:03Speaker 2: just me buying in on every single throw. So yeah,
- 3:07Speaker 2: that's that's kind of how I judge judge outings. If
- 3:10Speaker 2: I was really bought in on making my ninety two
- 3:13Speaker 2: hundred throws that game, you know, and and if I was,
- 3:16Speaker 2: I don't really care what the results are. If I wasn't,
- 3:18Speaker 2: then there's some work that needs to be done.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Hey, do you feel like more times than I? I'm sorry,
- 3:23Speaker 4: do you feel like more times than I.
- 3:24Speaker 3: When you do get beat?
- 3:26Speaker 4: Do you feel like it was that just not buying
- 3:28Speaker 4: in that day? I mean, I know you're going to
- 3:29Speaker 4: give credit when credit is due. Sometimes you just get beat,
- 3:32Speaker 4: But do you feel like, hey, when when you do
- 3:34Speaker 4: have those outings, it's like, damn, I just I just
- 3:37Speaker 4: it was no conviction or it wasn't my usual conviction.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I think so. I think so. And that's
- 3:43Speaker 2: when you have to look yourself in the mirror and
- 3:45Speaker 2: be really honest with yourself.
- 3:48Speaker 5: You know.
- 3:48Speaker 2: It's like it's like hitting if if you want to
- 3:49Speaker 2: get your A swing off, get your A swing off,
- 3:51Speaker 2: don't get beat, you know on your B swing.
- 3:53Speaker 6: You know?
- 3:53Speaker 2: So yeah, I think you know. I always want to
- 3:57Speaker 2: be able to buy in it and be convicted with
- 3:59Speaker 2: every single throw. And if if I am that day,
- 4:02Speaker 2: I don't really care what the numbers are. If I'm
- 4:04Speaker 2: not that day, those are the ones that kind of
- 4:06Speaker 2: eat at you, and I'll keep you up at night
- 4:08Speaker 2: and you probably won't sleep as well. At least, I
- 4:10Speaker 2: don't you know when I'm when I want a couple
- 4:12Speaker 2: throws back that I just wasn't bought in on.
- 4:15Speaker 7: Derek. First of all, I know you check the scoreboard,
- 4:17Speaker 7: so don't lie. It's cool. I checked the scoreboard and
- 4:19Speaker 7: spring training, okay, So like it's cool.
- 4:21Speaker 6: You're like, I don't pay you pay attention, and you'd
- 4:23Speaker 6: rather have a twenty game lead.
- 4:25Speaker 7: Okay.
- 4:25Speaker 6: Every team would like to have a twenty game league
- 4:28Speaker 6: going to September, and you're like, WEE can cruise. Okay,
- 4:30Speaker 6: so don't give me the standard. All right, now, I
- 4:33Speaker 6: don't look at this. You look at the scoreboard, dude,
- 4:36Speaker 6: I know you You're playing the White Sox the next
- 4:38Speaker 6: three games.
- 4:38Speaker 7: You look at it, and you go, we should win
- 4:40Speaker 7: the next three.
- 4:40Speaker 3: I get it.
- 4:41Speaker 6: It's a big league team. But that's the way big
- 4:43Speaker 6: league players operate. Okay, So I appreciate the politically correct answer,
- 4:49Speaker 6: but it's cool, Okay, all right, now we were talking
- 4:52Speaker 6: about this. I don't know if you heard this conversation
- 4:54Speaker 6: before you came on about the Mets and their bullpen
- 4:57Speaker 6: and how their starters don't go five innings. They go
- 5:00Speaker 6: five and usually are out. Their bullpen has to cover
- 5:02Speaker 6: twelve outs a lot of night. As a starting pitcher
- 5:05Speaker 6: and as the ace and the Cy Young Award winner,
- 5:07Speaker 6: how much pride do you starters take it trying to
- 5:10Speaker 6: get to the seventh eight and if you can even
- 5:12Speaker 6: finish a game, how much does that mean to you?
- 5:14Speaker 6: And then how much does it affect the bullpen? If
- 5:17Speaker 6: you Flaherty paddock, all you guys go seven, boom, boom
- 5:20Speaker 6: seven seven eight seven. Your bullpen comes in and goes, man,
- 5:23Speaker 6: we haven't pitched in a while. You're like, yeah, that's
- 5:25Speaker 6: a good thing, because you'll be ready later.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah, no doubt, no doubt. I think as a pitcher
- 5:29Speaker 2: you take a ton of pride and throwing innings and
- 5:31Speaker 2: trying to log as many innings as you can. You know,
- 5:34Speaker 2: the two hundred inning threshold is a little bit different
- 5:37Speaker 2: than it's been in years past, but you know, if
- 5:39Speaker 2: you can eat as many innings as you can, and
- 5:41Speaker 2: you know, for me, I want to get there. You know,
- 5:43Speaker 2: I threw one hundred and ninety two last year in
- 5:45Speaker 2: the regular season, and I want to get to two
- 5:47Speaker 2: hundred innings. And to be able to do that, you
- 5:50Speaker 2: got to be pretty efficient and you know, get three
- 5:53Speaker 2: outs pretty quickly and get deep into games and you know,
- 5:56Speaker 2: pitch ahead, getting count leverage, do all that stuff. But yeah,
- 5:59Speaker 2: I think I starts. You know, the game's kind of
- 6:02Speaker 2: changed a little bit just because relievers are so good now,
- 6:05Speaker 2: But I think as starters you have to take a
- 6:07Speaker 2: ton of pride and going deep into ball games and
- 6:09Speaker 2: making the manager's decision as hard as you as you can.
- 6:11Speaker 2: You know, I don't want the manager to think that, oh, yeah,
- 6:13Speaker 2: this is the obvious decision to go to this guy
- 6:15Speaker 2: in the eighth. It's like, no, I'm still better than
- 6:17Speaker 2: the guy we're going to go to in the eighth today.
- 6:19Speaker 2: So yeah, that's that's something that I take a ton
- 6:23Speaker 2: of pride in and I wish there was more emphasis
- 6:26Speaker 2: on you know, innings pitched in today's game. But I
- 6:30Speaker 2: also get it because the eight guys in the bullpen
- 6:33Speaker 2: out is it's not the same that it was, you know,
- 6:36Speaker 2: ten fifteen years ago.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Terrek, how closely do you follow Paul Skeins and his performance?
- 6:41Speaker 1: When we met him in person last year at the
- 6:45Speaker 1: Awards Center, which obviously you were there too, he talked
- 6:48Speaker 1: about how he really was looking over the offseason at
- 6:51Speaker 1: how you were thriving, how you were going deep into games.
- 6:54Speaker 8: You know everything about what you were doing.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Last season, of course, right, so curious on the flip
- 6:58Speaker 1: side of that, this year he is going super deep
- 7:01Speaker 1: into starts. You know, they babe him a little bit
- 7:03Speaker 1: like anyone else does heading into the major leagues. He
- 7:06Speaker 1: only spent five minutes in the minors anyway, But you know,
- 7:08Speaker 1: his strikeout numbers are still fine, but they're not as
- 7:11Speaker 1: crazy as they were last year. And it looks like
- 7:13Speaker 1: there is an emphasis on efficiency so that he can
- 7:15Speaker 1: go seven plus as much as possible.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I think, I mean, one, he's he's a great pitcher.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I mean the stuff that comes out of his hands
- 7:24Speaker 2: is pretty special. He can do a lot of things
- 7:27Speaker 2: with the baseball. You know, I feel like he's got
- 7:28Speaker 2: like eight pitches and they're all pretty good, you know,
- 7:31Speaker 2: elite shapes and stuff like that. So yeah, I mean
- 7:35Speaker 2: I watch what he does. It seems to me like
- 7:38Speaker 2: he dominates every time out. So it kind of gets
- 7:40Speaker 2: boring to watch. It's like does he ever get hit?
- 7:43Speaker 2: Is he ever going to give up a hit? But yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 2: I think that that's what the really good ones do.
- 7:47Speaker 2: You know, I think as a starting pitcher you kind
- 7:49Speaker 2: of want to be a little bit boring because that
- 7:51Speaker 2: means nothing's going on in the game. That means you're
- 7:52Speaker 2: pitching well. So yeah, I mean, he's he's a great arm.
- 7:56Speaker 2: What he's doing this year is phenomenal. Curious to kind
- 8:00Speaker 2: of see what they do down the strets just to
- 8:02Speaker 2: you know, with his career and you know, they want
- 8:04Speaker 2: the longevity out of them. But yeah, I mean he's
- 8:08Speaker 2: he's a great arm and you know, he's probably the
- 8:11Speaker 2: cy young favorite in the National League this year for
- 8:12Speaker 2: good reason.
- 8:15Speaker 1: We have a little breaking news on HelloFresh. We've talked
- 8:18Speaker 1: about him for a long time, but this summer they

- 9:16Speaker 4: Hey, Schools, I want to ask you this, man. I
- 9:17Speaker 4: know you're a very prison guy, but I also know
- 9:19Speaker 4: that competitive competitive you are. How much do you allow
- 9:22Speaker 4: yourself to think about legacy and then you talk about
- 9:25Speaker 4: the Tigers?
- 9:25Speaker 3: What you guys are doing.
- 9:27Speaker 4: And how much a big postseason start or out and
- 9:30Speaker 4: could mean for that legacy.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't, you know, I haven't really thought about
- 9:35Speaker 2: that a ton for me. I mean, a legacy for
- 9:40Speaker 2: me is to bring a championship to whatever you know,
- 9:42Speaker 2: to the city I'm playing, and you know, and that's
- 9:45Speaker 2: that's the most important thing to me in sports is winning.
- 9:49Speaker 2: You know. Individual accomplishments are are great, they're I mean,
- 9:52Speaker 2: it's it's great to get honored in that way, but
- 9:56Speaker 2: you know, winning a championship I think that that's when
- 9:59Speaker 2: you talk about I think that that's the legacy that
- 10:02Speaker 2: you want, is bringing a championship to the city, and
- 10:07Speaker 2: and that's kind of the goal. So however I do that,
- 10:10Speaker 2: I don't. I mean, it doesn't really matter to me.
- 10:11Speaker 2: It doesn't matter if I'm the one with the big
- 10:13Speaker 2: start or if Jackson one or Casey or Paddock or Charlie. Like,
- 10:18Speaker 2: I don't think it matters who has the big start.
- 10:20Speaker 2: For me, just winning a championship is going to be
- 10:22Speaker 2: the most important thing to me. And however I can
- 10:24Speaker 2: help the team do that, I'm going to do it.
- 10:27Speaker 6: Are you tired of hearing? Nineteen eighty four? Yeah, in Detroit,
- 10:30Speaker 6: you're tired of hearing nineteen eighty four.
- 10:32Speaker 2: It's a long time ago. It's a long time ago.
- 10:34Speaker 2: And I love when we have any of the eighty
- 10:37Speaker 2: four guys around, you know, I love when they come
- 10:39Speaker 2: back and hang out. But you know, twenty twenty five
- 10:44Speaker 2: sounds a lot better. You know, sounds a lot more recent,
- 10:46Speaker 2: you know.
- 10:46Speaker 7: To me, Yeah, me too.
- 10:49Speaker 6: I mean, eighty four team started out like twenty and
- 10:51Speaker 6: two or thirty five and five or something.
- 10:52Speaker 2: That was probably dominant championship of all time as the
- 10:56Speaker 2: eighty four team. I think they had the like craziest
- 10:59Speaker 2: lead in the post season, was dominant, best record in
- 11:01Speaker 2: the baseball like they never lost that too. So yeah,
- 11:05Speaker 2: that's probably one of the most dominant championships in baseball history.
- 11:10Speaker 7: It's good to know. You know your history. Now.
- 11:12Speaker 6: The other day, you're I think it was your last start.
- 11:14Speaker 6: You had a little shouting match with the umpire. You
- 11:16Speaker 6: said some words. Your mom and dad probably aren't proud of.
- 11:18Speaker 7: You about what I know. As a catcher, we can hide.
- 11:21Speaker 6: We have a mask on so we can say things
- 11:23Speaker 6: and no one really knows we're yelling at the umpire.
- 11:25Speaker 6: But when you're trek schouble and they look out there
- 11:27Speaker 6: and they see they show everything that you do and
- 11:29Speaker 6: you're yelling these words.
- 11:30Speaker 7: Do you apologize to the umpire afterwards?
- 11:33Speaker 6: And have you ever gotten to the point where you're like,
- 11:35Speaker 6: I'm going to get ejected right here?
- 11:38Speaker 2: It was close that game, It was close. You know,
- 11:41Speaker 2: I don't want to get ejected in the first inning. Obviously,
- 11:43Speaker 2: that's that puts our team in a horrible spot. But
- 11:46Speaker 2: it wasn't the pitch right there that was just showed
- 11:49Speaker 2: the pitch prior was a strike, and he balled it.
- 11:53Speaker 2: And then he balled that one again. And the changeup
- 11:55Speaker 2: that I threw the first pitch of that at bat
- 11:57Speaker 2: was just a little bit down, So there was the
- 12:02Speaker 2: sequence of events is probably what led to that outburst.
- 12:04Speaker 2: It wasn't just like the one pitch, because I understand,
- 12:07Speaker 2: like everyone's human. I get it, like I if I
- 12:10Speaker 2: was an umpire, I miss pitches too. It's the human
- 12:13Speaker 2: part of the game. But in the moment, you know,
- 12:17Speaker 2: it's the first inning. A lot of runs are scored
- 12:19Speaker 2: in the first inning off starting pitching. It's one of
- 12:20Speaker 2: the best hitters of all time in the box. I
- 12:26Speaker 2: don't want to be in a three to zero count
- 12:27Speaker 2: to him. You know, it should have been one two
- 12:29Speaker 2: if the last two pitches were called strikes. So yeah,
- 12:33Speaker 2: I just probably lost it a little bit. Ended up
- 12:36Speaker 2: getting them out so it didn't matter. But I think
- 12:39Speaker 2: every inning matters, every pitch matters, and that's probably what
- 12:43Speaker 2: I was most frustrated with.
- 12:44Speaker 6: All Right, so are you gonna be excited when you
- 12:46Speaker 6: can do this next year? And it's what you said.
- 12:49Speaker 6: By the way, don't forget who was hitting. Mike Trout
- 12:51Speaker 6: was hitting. They're not gonna call the strike zone. There's
- 12:54Speaker 6: certain players, and I know it's not supposed to do this,
- 12:56Speaker 6: but every once in a while, umpire kind of when
- 13:00Speaker 6: certain guys come up to bat.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Yeah, and listen, that's part of the game. I love
- 13:04Speaker 2: the game of baseball.
- 13:05Speaker 8: You know.
- 13:05Speaker 2: I'm not going to say that that's not part of
- 13:07Speaker 2: the game. Or he's earned the right to have a
- 13:09Speaker 2: smaller strike. So because he is Mike Trout, he's accomplished,
- 13:12Speaker 2: you know, he is. He's about to shay just four
- 13:13Speaker 2: hundred homer or whatever it was. I just didn't want
- 13:16Speaker 2: it to come off me because I didn't want to
- 13:17Speaker 2: watch the highlight, you know. So I'm like I want
- 13:19Speaker 2: to be in a three count to Mike Trout, but yeah,
- 13:24Speaker 2: I just probably shouldn't do that because I run the
- 13:28Speaker 2: risk of getting ejected early in the game. You know
- 13:30Speaker 2: that that did never even crossed my mind. But yeah,
- 13:34Speaker 2: I understand. I mean, it's the game of baseball. I
- 13:38Speaker 2: didn't apologize because I didn't think I was wrong in
- 13:40Speaker 2: that in that sense, but.
- 13:43Speaker 9: Yeah, hey, school, Hey school, did you have a chance
- 13:48Speaker 9: to see the Cora and Suarez thing as far with
- 13:52Speaker 9: the iPad and the tips?
- 13:54Speaker 4: And I just want to ask you, you know, in
- 13:55Speaker 4: the game of baseball, and you know, I played with
- 13:58Speaker 4: you know, I went over to the Ashtros and seven
- 14:00Speaker 4: and it was a part of that team and and uh,
- 14:02Speaker 4: you know that whole deal.
- 14:04Speaker 3: I also play with the Yanks.
- 14:06Speaker 4: I play organizations that they try to figure out a
- 14:07Speaker 4: way to get competitive edges. I don't want to, you know,
- 14:10Speaker 4: get your take on it while you're still in the
- 14:11Speaker 4: game right now. How do you feel about it? As
- 14:13Speaker 4: a pitcher?
- 14:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I think. I mean, I think if I was
- 14:17Speaker 2: a hitter and I had a tip at a runner
- 14:18Speaker 2: on second base, I'd want to know it. You know,
- 14:21Speaker 2: I'm I'm very much on it. As far as not
- 14:24Speaker 2: tipping my pitches. You know, in my bullpen work, I
- 14:27Speaker 2: have a there's a you know, one of our video
- 14:29Speaker 2: guys watches every single throw I'm making a bullpen watches
- 14:33Speaker 2: every throw I make in the game. And you know,
- 14:35Speaker 2: we're very back and forth on tipping stuff or you know,
- 14:38Speaker 2: making sure I'm not tipping pitches. So I'm very much
- 14:41Speaker 2: it's part of the game. It's part of the baseball game.
- 14:43Speaker 2: You know, if you don't want to do it, don't
- 14:44Speaker 2: tip your pitches, you know. I think that that's pretty simple,
- 14:46Speaker 2: and and that is I think that's a competitive advantage.
- 14:49Speaker 2: You know, you have guys at second base that can
- 14:51Speaker 2: relay signs and you know, get location or get which
- 14:55Speaker 2: pitch is coming. I think that that's I think it's
- 14:58Speaker 2: all fair game. The one I have a problem with
- 15:00Speaker 2: is the first base coach and the third base coach
- 15:03Speaker 2: that aren't in their box that they have. I don't
- 15:05Speaker 2: know why they have a box if they can't just
- 15:07Speaker 2: be in it, because sometimes they go way up the
- 15:09Speaker 2: line and way up the other line to see things
- 15:12Speaker 2: that you shouldn't be able to see when you're playing
- 15:14Speaker 2: the game of baseball. So that's the one I have
- 15:16Speaker 2: a problem with, and there's teams that do it. You know,
- 15:20Speaker 2: Boston's coach, you know, they've they've they've had they've had
- 15:23Speaker 2: me before in Boston, Cleveland has had me before, Sandy
- 15:26Speaker 2: Alamart first base. But I'm very aware of what's going
- 15:30Speaker 2: on and when that kind of stuff starts to happen,
- 15:32Speaker 2: and I think as a team, we're pretty aware of it.
- 15:34Speaker 2: You know, we're watching and making sure nothing's going on.
- 15:37Speaker 2: And you know, teams like to do the fake tip stuff.
- 15:39Speaker 2: You know, Boston said they've liked to do the fake
- 15:41Speaker 2: tip stuff, and we just make sure that there's nothing
- 15:45Speaker 2: going on, you know. But as far as getting the
- 15:47Speaker 2: run signs from second base, and you know, if the
- 15:49Speaker 2: pitcher's doing something drastically different with their glove or you know,
- 15:53Speaker 2: maybe they look down or something or look down twice,
- 15:56Speaker 2: it's always fastball. Like I think that's fair game. I
- 15:59Speaker 2: think that's part of the game of baseball. But like
- 16:01Speaker 2: I said, the one I don't like is when the
- 16:02Speaker 2: first base and third base coaches go way down the
- 16:04Speaker 2: lines and are doing things that you know, if if
- 16:09Speaker 2: they want to do that, stay in the box. I
- 16:11Speaker 2: guess that's my opinion.
- 16:12Speaker 6: On it all right, So so have you you say
- 16:15Speaker 6: that certain teams have had you. By the way, don't
- 16:17Speaker 6: ever go Hector Norris on Sandy Alomar. I know he's older,
- 16:20Speaker 6: but that dude is like a black belt and like
- 16:22Speaker 6: seven different things. So like, if you're gonna yell at one,
- 16:25Speaker 6: yell at their third base coach, don't yell at Sandy
- 16:27Speaker 6: because Sandy, Dandy, I don't know that you want to
- 16:30Speaker 6: get into that scrap of.
- 16:31Speaker 2: So actually, I this morning, I say I've talked to
- 16:35Speaker 2: him about it. I go, hey, Sandy, I know what
- 16:37Speaker 2: you did last start. You know it's not gonna happen again.
- 16:40Speaker 2: So yeah, I think, I mean, that's just that's part
- 16:43Speaker 2: of the game of baseball. I think that that's I
- 16:44Speaker 2: think that's fair game and in in what they do.
- 16:48Speaker 7: Okay, that's fair.
- 16:49Speaker 6: But now, do you guys is starting pitchers, do you
- 16:52Speaker 6: watch your guys when you're when you guys aren't on
- 16:55Speaker 6: your start day Because we used to have starters, We
- 16:56Speaker 6: used to have coaches that would watch every pitcher. We
- 16:58Speaker 6: had a camera that was locked in on every pitcher
- 17:01Speaker 6: from the home plate like the batter's view. Do you
- 17:03Speaker 6: guys watch Also to help because yes, one person. Because
- 17:06Speaker 6: here's the thing. We used to have coaches like I
- 17:08Speaker 6: played with Alex Sintron, who's the Astros hitting coach, and
- 17:12Speaker 6: he's like, oh, everybody tips.
- 17:13Speaker 7: And I played with Joey Kora.
- 17:14Speaker 6: Everybody tips, and literally it would be like, oh, they're here,
- 17:18Speaker 6: and then one pitch they're I'm like, dude, I can't.
- 17:20Speaker 7: I can't tell the difference in this and this.
- 17:22Speaker 6: So do you guys watch for that stuff also on
- 17:24Speaker 6: the bench, because I think you're right, it's part of
- 17:26Speaker 6: the game, but it's also part of the game for
- 17:28Speaker 6: you to be able to catch it before the other
- 17:29Speaker 6: team does.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I've watched when something doesn't look right, you know,
- 17:34Speaker 2: when guys are spitting on pitches that usually guys swing at,
- 17:37Speaker 2: you know, with our guys on the mound, or or
- 17:39Speaker 2: when I'm on the mound, I'll be watching and being like, Okay,
- 17:43Speaker 2: that's a weird take. You know, Okay, that's that's a
- 17:46Speaker 2: weird take. Again. You know, I don't I don't give
- 17:49Speaker 2: hitters credit in that aspect. I don't think that they
- 17:51Speaker 2: take pitches all that well and they're like, oh, I
- 17:54Speaker 2: saw that really well. Even if if they think they
- 17:56Speaker 2: did I don't think they did. Uh. So you know,
- 18:00Speaker 2: when when some type of weird stuff is going on,
- 18:03Speaker 2: you know, I'll immediately get the iPad or get something
- 18:07Speaker 2: and watch and make sure nothing's going on. I think
- 18:09Speaker 2: our organization is great at that. Not only is our
- 18:13Speaker 2: you know, the video guy, but our pitching coaches are
- 18:14Speaker 2: pretty dialed in on it. And you can pull it up,
- 18:17Speaker 2: you know, side by side on the iPad and you
- 18:19Speaker 2: can hell, you can get two or three iPads if
- 18:21Speaker 2: you want and compare some things and if there's adjustments
- 18:24Speaker 2: that need to be made in game. I think everyone
- 18:27Speaker 2: on our team is pretty comfortable doing that, because the
- 18:28Speaker 2: last thing I want is the guy to know what
- 18:31Speaker 2: pitch is coming. I mean, I it's hard for me
- 18:34Speaker 2: to pick up tips, but if someone were to show
- 18:36Speaker 2: me something, it's just kind of getting rid of the
- 18:38Speaker 2: big ones, you know what I mean, Like the big
- 18:40Speaker 2: the big tips that are very obvious, you know, if
- 18:42Speaker 2: they're really close. I don't think hitters are as comfortable
- 18:46Speaker 2: buying into those tips, but the pretty obvious ones, those
- 18:49Speaker 2: are the ones you try to want to get rid of.
- 18:52Speaker 7: Great.
- 18:52Speaker 6: I had to know early. I had to know way early,
- 18:54Speaker 6: because you know, if you do it once you pick
- 18:56Speaker 6: your leg up. It was too late for me, so
- 18:57Speaker 6: it had to be something early.

- 20:00Speaker 6: All right, we had a conversation earlier I think it
- 20:02Speaker 6: was last year, and then I don't know if you
- 20:04Speaker 6: got you met Barry Barry Bonds at the at the
- 20:06Speaker 6: BBWAA Awards, but you said you would want to face him. Well,
- 20:11Speaker 6: I want to know how long would it take forget
- 20:13Speaker 6: Barry Bonds because you don't want that smoke?
- 20:15Speaker 7: I told you that I knew laugh because.
- 20:16Speaker 2: You know, you're like, oh, Barry, it's a win win
- 20:19Speaker 2: situation for me. I don't care. You know, it's it's
- 20:22Speaker 2: lose lose for him, greatest hitter of all time if
- 20:24Speaker 2: he gets out, Oh, how do you get out if
- 20:26Speaker 2: he gets the homer off me? I'm like, yeah, he's
- 20:27Speaker 2: the greatest hiter of all time. I don't care.
- 20:29Speaker 7: True, Okay, but let's go a little bit farther back.
- 20:31Speaker 6: Babe Ruth. A lot of discussion about Babe Ruth. He
- 20:34Speaker 6: swung like a fifty inch bat. How long do you
- 20:36Speaker 6: think it would take Babe Ruth to get a hit
- 20:38Speaker 6: off of you?
- 20:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that's I mean. I think the game's greats would
- 20:44Speaker 2: always adjust to the era of baseball that we're in now.
- 20:49Speaker 2: I've actually had that conversation with Alan Trammell, like, hey, tram, like,
- 20:53Speaker 2: the game is different than when you played. Obviously, with
- 20:55Speaker 2: the guy's stuff. That's guys that's coming out of arms.
- 20:58Speaker 2: And I was like, what do you think you know?
- 21:00Speaker 2: And in trams such a down to earth guy, you
- 21:02Speaker 2: could easily say, yeah, I'm a Hall of Famer, I'm
- 21:04Speaker 2: gonna you know, I'd rake off anybody, doesn't matter. But
- 21:06Speaker 2: he was like, no, it takes me a little bit
- 21:08Speaker 2: of adjusting to this. But you know, he's like, I'll
- 21:10Speaker 2: hold my own once I get adjusted to it. And
- 21:13Speaker 2: I thought that was really cool coming from a Hall
- 21:15Speaker 2: of famer, Like, you know, a lot of guys that
- 21:17Speaker 2: are of that pedigree have a sense of pride attached
- 21:21Speaker 2: with which is totally acceptable. I get it, they're Hall
- 21:23Speaker 2: of famers. But he actually was like, it takes me
- 21:27Speaker 2: a little bit to get going, and then once I
- 21:29Speaker 2: got it, like it's you know, I'm a Hall of Famer,
- 21:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna be able to do what I do. And
- 21:33Speaker 2: I was like, I love that answer. And that's probably
- 21:36Speaker 2: the same thing with Baby Ruth, Like I don't think
- 21:38Speaker 2: Babe Ruth is going to be able to swing at
- 21:39Speaker 2: fifty inch bat off of me in and at bat
- 21:42Speaker 2: you know, I just don't think it's gonna work. But
- 21:46Speaker 2: once he kind of gets up to date with kind
- 21:49Speaker 2: of modern baseball. I mean, I think he's gonna be
- 21:51Speaker 2: a game's great and it'd be you know, it'd be
- 21:54Speaker 2: a fun at bat for sure.
- 21:56Speaker 6: All Right, I wanted a bat in spring training next year,
- 22:00Speaker 6: I'm coming to Lakeland. I'm going to get in a
- 22:01Speaker 6: bat off you. You'll probably strike me out. It's a
- 22:04Speaker 6: it's a win win for me. I'm I'll be forty
- 22:06Speaker 6: nine years old and you probably watched me out. But
- 22:09Speaker 6: don't let me get a hit, because, oh, do not
- 22:12Speaker 6: let me get a hit.
- 22:13Speaker 2: I promise, Yeah, you're not gonna get a pitch to hit.
- 22:16Speaker 2: I don't think what do you mean a pitch to hit.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I'm just not going to throw you a pitch to hit.
- 22:22Speaker 2: I just it's gonna probably be a lot of velocity,
- 22:25Speaker 2: and just play that. You haven't swung a bat in
- 22:28Speaker 2: a while.
- 22:29Speaker 7: Okay, all right, that's fair. Hey, I was a bad
- 22:31Speaker 7: ball hitter. I'm just telling you I was a bad
- 22:33Speaker 7: ball hitter.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Hey, he won't.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Hey, listen, you got to pitch to him, scoops, because
- 22:39Speaker 4: he listen, he won't be as bad as me. I
- 22:41Speaker 4: don't tell everybody that the one time that I you know,
- 22:44Speaker 4: face you backfield, I hit a double loft, the wall,
- 22:47Speaker 4: Toledo on my re my, on my rehab stance.
- 22:49Speaker 3: So I don't put it out there often. But you're
- 22:52Speaker 3: so humble. Listen.
- 22:53Speaker 4: I said, this is the one guy, one superstar aj
- 22:55Speaker 4: other than you that I can text until he text
- 22:57Speaker 4: me back immediately. But one thing I would have asked
- 22:59Speaker 4: you that you know again, when you first came into
- 23:01Speaker 4: the into the clubhouse, I'm like, who is this guy?
- 23:05Speaker 3: Trek Tark? I'm like, and I'm like, oh, he's a
- 23:07Speaker 3: he's a He's a white dude.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Who hows Like, what's the worst and funniest the pronunciation
- 23:12Speaker 4: you've heard of your name?
- 23:13Speaker 2: Like, I just want to hear it's the most The
- 23:16Speaker 2: most common is is tariek, which I don't really understand
- 23:19Speaker 2: how they get there, Like Tark makes more sense to me.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Treek has never really made sense to me. But yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 2: that's that's probably the most common is Treek. You know,
- 23:31Speaker 2: And growing up, I don't think that people thought my
- 23:34Speaker 2: name and it'd be who I am? You know what
- 23:36Speaker 2: I mean? So that's just it's all right, I get,
- 23:39Speaker 2: you know, I give I give my parents a tough
- 23:41Speaker 2: time a lot like Hey, why why Trek? You know why?
- 23:45Speaker 2: It's just whatever, But yeah, Treek is probably the most
- 23:48Speaker 2: common one.
- 23:49Speaker 3: But but you know what, you had the handshake down,
- 23:51Speaker 3: you know what?
- 23:52Speaker 4: And because I know what you mean a j we
- 23:54Speaker 4: used to play John Baker, white guy used to play
- 23:57Speaker 4: a game in the in the during the game right
- 23:59Speaker 4: to Lays, white guy, black name.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Davis Khalil Green K School. I thought he was going
- 24:05Speaker 3: to be a brother, Like, you know, I love.
- 24:09Speaker 2: It, Terk.
- 24:12Speaker 7: What's what's your what's your ethnicity? What what's your background?
- 24:18Speaker 2: White? I don't know, like like like.
- 24:21Speaker 7: Your heritage where, like where's your family from?
- 24:24Speaker 2: Like where I think, you know, I think a little
- 24:27Speaker 2: bit in Europe. But the name is definitely not from
- 24:32Speaker 2: from Europe. The name is from like I don't My
- 24:35Speaker 2: mom told me the story one time. I don't really
- 24:37Speaker 2: know how true it is, but that's probably time for
- 24:40Speaker 2: a different different day. But uh yeah, I don't. I
- 24:43Speaker 2: don't really know the name because I mean, my brothers
- 24:46Speaker 2: are Tyler, Trey, Trent, and Will and I'm Trek, So
- 24:49Speaker 2: I don't really get that, you know.
- 24:53Speaker 6: But whatever, you didn't say Polish because then we'd have
- 24:57Speaker 6: you on team Poland and miss Lerowski going one two
- 25:02Speaker 6: and nobody E would want that.
- 25:04Speaker 7: We could win the Olympics with that.
- 25:06Speaker 2: I'd rather play for.
- 25:11Speaker 8: Yeah, he's gonna get a USA phone call.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Sorry, AJ, sorry about it, Terry, good stuff, man, Great
- 25:19Speaker 1: to have you back on Hope you had a good time.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Thanks for joining us. Keep doing your thing. We'll catch
- 25:23Speaker 1: you down the road.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Okay, yes, sir, Thank you. Guys.
- 25:26Speaker 1: We're in mid August and the Athletic has a series
- 25:29Speaker 1: out on remaining schedules for contenders. I'm gonna cherry pick
- 25:33Speaker 1: a little bit because I don't care as much about
- 25:34Speaker 1: the teams with decent division leads. But first off, there
- 25:39Speaker 1: are about seven weeks remaining in the season, and you've
- 25:43Speaker 1: got Phillys Mets still coming up soon. Red Sox, Yankees,
- 25:47Speaker 1: Dodgers Padres twice this month. A Jay's calling one of
- 25:50Speaker 1: those games, but back to back weekends of Dodgers Padres Cubs,
- 25:54Speaker 1: Brewers are going to play five games in four days soon,
- 25:58Speaker 1: so we've got some good ones. I'm gonna hop around
- 26:01Speaker 1: to you guys a little bit. I want to go
- 26:03Speaker 1: to the Mariners, so as we're doing this, they're a
- 26:06Speaker 1: half game back of the Astros. They're in a wild
- 26:09Speaker 1: card spot. Cam they're in the second wild card, they're
- 26:12Speaker 1: playoff odds. I think this they're using fangrafts ninety four
- 26:15Speaker 1: point eight percent.
- 26:16Speaker 8: That is exceptional.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Strength of schedule remaining is just about fifty percent, So
- 26:21Speaker 1: just about five hundred ball clubs remaining five HT two,
- 26:25Speaker 1: they're sixty six and fifty three coming up for them
- 26:28Speaker 1: a series against the Orioles on the road. Then they're
- 26:31Speaker 1: on the road taking on the Mets and the Phillies.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Then they go back home for the A's and the Padres,
- 26:39Speaker 1: and then take on the Guardians on the road to
- 26:41Speaker 1: finish up the month. So what do we think of
- 26:43Speaker 1: this next month for the Mariners coming up? They have
- 26:47Speaker 1: one series left against an AL West contender and that's
- 26:50Speaker 1: the Astros in mid in mid September. Otherwise, you know,
- 26:54Speaker 1: you get a lot of a lot of East Coast
- 26:56Speaker 1: coming up here for them.
- 26:57Speaker 4: Yeah, a lot of a lot of high stakes games
- 27:00Speaker 4: coming up for that. When you're coming up in the Mariners,
- 27:02Speaker 4: when you look at the schedule, and they're gonna be
- 27:04Speaker 4: battle tested.
- 27:05Speaker 3: But I think the biggest thing.
- 27:06Speaker 4: For them is they are you know equipped when you
- 27:09Speaker 4: talk about that starting rotation where you talk about the
- 27:11Speaker 4: bullpen and I love the where their offensive is playing
- 27:14Speaker 4: right now, They're gonna have to go in and earn it.
- 27:16Speaker 4: When you look at the Phillies and look at some
- 27:17Speaker 4: of those those teams and like you said, nobody no slouches, right,
- 27:21Speaker 4: every series is gonna be competitive. So this is gonna
- 27:24Speaker 4: be big, especially when you talk about the Texas Rangers
- 27:27Speaker 4: kind of nipping at the heels of the Mariners and
- 27:30Speaker 4: the Astros as well. So each and every playoff now
- 27:34Speaker 4: say playoff series, Each and every series will be like
- 27:36Speaker 4: a playoff series when you talk about the Astros and
- 27:39Speaker 4: the teams that they are also facing, who are you know,
- 27:41Speaker 4: have a hopes of making it into the playoffs and
- 27:45Speaker 4: you're gonna be fun.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Yeah, a jan I'll give you the Astros side of this, right,
- 27:48Speaker 1: If we think the Mariners are going to take down
- 27:50Speaker 1: the Astros in the l West, and they're pretty much
- 27:52Speaker 1: neck and neck right now, they have the Astros at
- 27:55Speaker 1: ninety one percent playoff odds strength of schedule for them
- 27:58Speaker 1: over the next month is is a little easier right
- 28:02Speaker 1: at four to ninety six strength of schedule coming up,
- 28:04Speaker 1: so they have them home against the Red Sox and
- 28:07Speaker 1: the Orioles. Then they're on the road against the Tigers,
- 28:10Speaker 1: back on the road, still against the Orioles, and then
- 28:13Speaker 1: they finish up the month with the Rockies and the
- 28:15Speaker 1: Angels at home.
- 28:17Speaker 7: I mean this sounds like a chance to win some games. Yeah,
- 28:22Speaker 7: I mean, the Red Sox gonna be tough. They get Crochet.
- 28:24Speaker 6: I know that. I understand that the oreol they should
- 28:27Speaker 6: be able to win that series. You would think the
- 28:29Speaker 6: Tigers is gonna be tough, and it all depends on
- 28:31Speaker 6: who they match up with.
- 28:32Speaker 7: Then they get the Orioles for four.
- 28:35Speaker 6: I'm at one of those games, by the way, so
- 28:37Speaker 6: and then they get the Rockies at home and the
- 28:39Speaker 6: Angels for four at home. Listen, they this lines up
- 28:42Speaker 6: for them to at least try to keep up. And listen,
- 28:44Speaker 6: the Mirrors aren't gonna be nine to one every ten
- 28:46Speaker 6: games from now on, So the Mirror's going You know,
- 28:48Speaker 6: you can say whatever you want about the Mirrors, but
- 28:50Speaker 6: going east is a problem for a lot of West
- 28:52Speaker 6: Coast teams. The going east thing hurts a lot of
- 28:55Speaker 6: the West Coast teams. So do I think the Mirrors
- 28:57Speaker 6: can do it?
- 28:57Speaker 7: Yeah? But do I think this linees up nice for
- 28:59Speaker 7: the Astros. Absolutely, yes.
- 29:02Speaker 1: The one thing for Houston is they don't have any
- 29:04Speaker 1: off days, so they'll have one this Thursday, then they
- 29:06Speaker 1: play ten in a row, then they stretch after that
- 29:09Speaker 1: of thirteen in a row. But they are getting starting
- 29:12Speaker 1: pitching back right Christian Haab are coming back, like there
- 29:15Speaker 1: are some guys that were down that are coming back
- 29:17Speaker 1: that should be able to eat some innings for them,
- 29:19Speaker 1: so that should help. But that's the rest of August
- 29:21Speaker 1: schedule for the Astros. Should we look at the who
- 29:25Speaker 1: do you guys want the Yankees, the Red Sox or
- 29:27Speaker 1: the Guardians next for this month? Which one do you
- 29:31Speaker 1: want to look at?
- 29:32Speaker 4: I mean the Yankees are the look at let's go
- 29:34Speaker 4: look at look at the Boston Red Sox because again
- 29:37Speaker 4: I know again they started off that series in San Diego.
- 29:40Speaker 4: That first game was fun to watch. The Padres give
- 29:42Speaker 4: them a lot of credit for bouncing back, but I
- 29:44Speaker 4: like the way Boston is playing right now. As we
- 29:46Speaker 4: talked about all these moves that they did not make
- 29:48Speaker 4: the clubhouses saying something different, those dudes are having fun
- 29:51Speaker 4: right now. I'm watching I'm watching these guys play pretty
- 29:54Speaker 4: much every night and there's a buzz. There's a confidence
- 29:57Speaker 4: about them. I think a lot of that has to
- 29:58Speaker 4: do with Trevor's story looking back to his you know,
- 30:01Speaker 4: somewhat his old self, Alex Bregman as well Duran. Again,
- 30:05Speaker 4: these guys are just fun, explosive and explosive, and they
- 30:08Speaker 4: can tilt the field.
- 30:09Speaker 3: What do we have on Boston?
- 30:11Speaker 2: All right?
- 30:11Speaker 1: So they have a seventy four point three percent playoff
- 30:15Speaker 1: odds five oh one strength of schedule over the next
- 30:17Speaker 1: month here Astros on the road is the series coming
- 30:20Speaker 1: up here which starts tonight. Marlins at home. They're also
- 30:24Speaker 1: at home for the Oriols. And I'm keep in mind
- 30:26Speaker 1: with the Marlins, they're pesky, but they had a rough
- 30:28Speaker 1: five games just now against the Braids. Let's not act
- 30:31Speaker 1: like the Marlins are the hottest thing. I mean, they
- 30:33Speaker 1: had a really nice run. You can run into some
- 30:35Speaker 1: tough starters against them. But anyway, after the Orioles, then
- 30:38Speaker 1: they're on the road for that big series late August
- 30:41Speaker 1: against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. They staywn the road
- 30:44Speaker 1: for Baltimore again for four Baltimore is just an everyone's
- 30:47Speaker 1: right right now, and then they go back home at
- 30:49Speaker 1: the end of the month to take on the Pirates.
- 30:51Speaker 8: How does that sound, camp?
- 30:54Speaker 4: I mean for them, they should be excited about winning
- 30:57Speaker 4: some baseball games. Again, it's there to lose when you
- 30:59Speaker 4: look at that, and again you said it, you don't
- 31:01Speaker 4: play get any of these games on paper. If anything,
- 31:04Speaker 4: I think you look at what the Yankees did and
- 31:07Speaker 4: when they went into Miami. You know, let's not have that,
- 31:11Speaker 4: you know, lackadaisical mindset, right, take everything serious. But this
- 31:15Speaker 4: is this road is set up for success with them,
- 31:17Speaker 4: so it's up to them to take advantage of it.
- 31:22Speaker 8: Yeah, I'll give you the Rangers as well.
- 31:24Speaker 6: Hold up, hold up, listen, yeah, Picky, the Twins, the
- 31:27Speaker 6: White Sox, the Nationals, the Rays, James. I mean, I
- 31:33Speaker 6: know the Cardinals, I freeze. I know the Cardinals are
- 31:37Speaker 6: in it, right, but the Twins aren't in it, the
- 31:40Speaker 6: Rays aren't in it, the Nationals aren't in it, and
- 31:43Speaker 6: the White Sox aren't in it.
- 31:44Speaker 7: So that's four.
- 31:45Speaker 6: Guess they play the Red Sox Okay, Cardinals Okay, But
- 31:48Speaker 6: like this is set up for the Yankees to get
- 31:50Speaker 6: hot right here.
- 31:51Speaker 4: Boom.
- 31:52Speaker 6: I mean, this should be their their their road where
- 31:54Speaker 6: they pick up some games if they're gonna do this.
- 31:57Speaker 7: This is the road to hoe for.
- 31:58Speaker 4: Me, beside of mindset, right like, this is the time
- 32:02Speaker 4: that you saw I guess a quote from Pray beside
- 32:04Speaker 4: it like it's time to get pissed off, right Like,
- 32:06Speaker 4: I do believe there's a sense of an AJ.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Maybe you can touch on this.
- 32:10Speaker 4: I think sometimes of baseball we talk about like the
- 32:12Speaker 4: mittal and the mechanical, but there's a such thing as
- 32:15Speaker 4: in competing when you just can will yourself to just
- 32:18Speaker 4: when not losing, Like as the group come together collectively
- 32:21Speaker 4: say you know what, screw this. This is when we
- 32:24Speaker 4: really go ahead and really show how gil we are
- 32:26Speaker 4: and not lose against these teams that we're supposed to
- 32:29Speaker 4: take advantage of, right like, will yourself to victory down
- 32:32Speaker 4: this stretch.
- 32:32Speaker 3: I like it. I like that what AJ said.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Yeah, last one for me, I'll go over the Rangers,
- 32:40Speaker 1: who are also obviously in a wildcard race. Here, they've
- 32:44Speaker 1: got the Diamondbacks at home, Blue Jays on the road
- 32:47Speaker 1: for three, four, on the road against Kansas City, then
- 32:50Speaker 1: they're back home for the Guardians and Angels, and on
- 32:52Speaker 1: the road against the A's.
- 32:55Speaker 7: Doesn't matter, so they score runs. I don't care what
- 32:57Speaker 7: their schedules.
- 32:58Speaker 6: If they don't score runs, I mean de gram dealt
- 33:02Speaker 6: on Saturday. The game I did didn't score Nathan Valdi
- 33:05Speaker 6: has a one three eight e r A. They don't
- 33:07Speaker 6: score runs, it don't matter. If they don't score runs,
- 33:09Speaker 6: it doesn't matter.
- 33:10Speaker 7: I'm sorry.
- 33:10Speaker 6: So yeah, unless and until they figure out a way
- 33:13Speaker 6: to score more runs. I don't care who they play.
- 33:14Speaker 6: They could play Cams San Diego's Padres Scalp team. Right.
- 33:18Speaker 7: They're scoring one two runs a game. Padres.
- 33:21Speaker 3: Two years, we might we might have.
- 33:25Speaker 1: It's a two year problem. Two year problem for the
- 33:27Speaker 1: Rangers is the offense, and that continues.
- 33:29Speaker 8: I'm with you. Yeah, it was a tough watch this weekend.
