- 0:00Speaker 1: All start Toyota presents Off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied the Bench.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from downtown Baton
- 0:14Speaker 1: Rouge starts now.
- 1:01Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Ogb Our number two here on this Tuesday morning. All right,
- 1:15Speaker 4: So a couple of things to get too inside the
- 1:17Speaker 4: buy you for chat. Also, LSU got a big quarterback
- 1:21Speaker 4: commit yesterday. We talked a little bit about it. We'll
- 1:24Speaker 4: get into that with tat our official. Hmmm, recruiting correspondent.
- 1:31Speaker 4: I feel like that's appropriate for Tata. Yeah, because certainly
- 1:34Speaker 4: not your I No, no, no, we're not tracking the
- 1:38Speaker 4: high scores.
- 1:39Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:39Speaker 4: That sounded weird for Tata. That's not what we intended.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Champ says. He's throwing the ball negative three yards at
- 1:48Speaker 4: a time. He looks like the last year of Drew Brees.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Can't sack someone that doesn't have a ball in his hand.
- 1:54Speaker 4: It's terrible. They are throwing it a ton at the
- 1:56Speaker 4: line of scrimmage.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Champ.
- 1:57Speaker 4: But I'm like just watching it, not even going into
- 2:00Speaker 4: the stats that we just gave you and the grades
- 2:01Speaker 4: and all of that. You can just watch the game
- 2:04Speaker 4: until like, even when they are dropping back in traditional
- 2:07Speaker 4: you know, passing concepts, they still have a really good pocket.
- 2:11Speaker 4: So I hear you, and you know, some of that
- 2:13Speaker 4: certainly plays from them throwing at the line of scrimmage
- 2:17Speaker 4: or behind it. But the shell of the protection has
- 2:20Speaker 4: been good for the most part. Yeah, when you've had trouble,
- 2:23Speaker 4: it's been from the right side.
- 2:24Speaker 5: Yeah, it's been good. You want to show clip? Alrighty,
- 2:30Speaker 5: it was ready, I was just watching one.
- 2:32Speaker 3: He ready to go?
- 2:33Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, sure, pull a lever, pull a lever. Yeah
- 2:37Speaker 4: we need a lever, right like Conan used to have
- 2:40Speaker 4: lever is Chuck.
- 2:41Speaker 2: North's clips cause we're not robutt enough around here? Oh ready?
- 2:44Speaker 2: All right, hey check this out.
- 2:45Speaker 5: So so this little play action fake, So just to
- 2:48Speaker 5: give y'all heads up kind of an idea about what's
- 2:51Speaker 5: happening right here, is it kind of tells you everything
- 2:55Speaker 5: that we kind of talked about. So what we're doing
- 2:56Speaker 5: is you see the tied end line up off the ball.
- 2:58Speaker 2: To the left.
- 2:59Speaker 5: So we're in a two We're in a three receiver set,
- 3:01Speaker 5: So what personnel is this the line? We got three
- 3:03Speaker 5: receivers one tight end, one running back, even so eleven personnel.
- 3:06Speaker 2: That's right, we got a running back, we.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Got tight end board with that question like, this is
- 3:12Speaker 3: the meaning eleven.
- 3:13Speaker 5: So we got one receiver to the right, we got
- 3:15Speaker 5: two receivers to the left, and so it's a kind
- 3:17Speaker 5: of a trip's off formation with a tight end off
- 3:20Speaker 5: the ball to the left. Also, running back is lined
- 3:22Speaker 5: up to the left, so it's creating almost a four
- 3:24Speaker 5: by one that the defense has to push to. So
- 3:27Speaker 5: what you see here is a standard. It's going to
- 3:30Speaker 5: be a six man protection with a little playfake to
- 3:32Speaker 5: the running back. So what the what they're gonna say
- 3:35Speaker 5: is we're going I would call this like a two
- 3:38Speaker 5: jet protection or a flash two jet. So what the
- 3:42Speaker 5: offensive line is gonna have the four down lineman and
- 3:44Speaker 5: what you're going to see the way the center works,
- 3:46Speaker 5: He's gonna have the linebacker to the top, so to
- 3:49Speaker 5: the left of the center, not the linebacker overhead. And
- 3:52Speaker 5: so the running back is going to have the linebacker
- 3:54Speaker 5: that is directly in front of the center. So what
- 3:57Speaker 5: happens here is the linebacker so which means the center
- 4:02Speaker 5: works to the left because he's working to that left
- 4:04Speaker 5: linebacker and so you leave yourself open to a game
- 4:07Speaker 5: to the bottom creates pressure right right in Garrett nuss
- 4:11Speaker 5: Meyer's face, did 'tenough time to step up. Boom comes
- 4:14Speaker 5: off the right side. Just like we talked about, We're
- 4:15Speaker 5: gonna get a better look at this game. Right here
- 4:17Speaker 5: on the right side of the line of scrim as
- 4:19Speaker 5: a defensive tackle goes up the field, bull rushes the
- 4:22Speaker 5: guard and engages him, and there's a lot of holding
- 4:26Speaker 5: shoving there going on, which doesn't allow him to come
- 4:29Speaker 5: off on the looping defensive end, creating creating pressure.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Now what I.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Would like to see what Garrett Nutsmar will get into
- 4:35Speaker 5: at the next level and as he progresses in his
- 4:38Speaker 5: knowledge of NFL football, let's go back to the beginning.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Is we know we have four five man protection four down,
- 4:44Speaker 5: and I'm gonna call it the Sam up top because
- 4:46Speaker 5: of three by one set.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Now, if you know we know right now there's no pressure.
- 4:50Speaker 5: We know we know based on alignment, we know based
- 4:53Speaker 5: on DB's safety leverage, based on where the linebackers. The
- 4:56Speaker 5: linebackers are looking around like they're seeing where they're dropping.
- 4:59Speaker 5: I would I like to see Garrett Nusmyer move the
- 5:01Speaker 5: mic call to the center to the middle linebacker. Right there,
- 5:06Speaker 5: that's right over the head of the center. He's not
- 5:07Speaker 5: the center, he's the will but he's lined up over
- 5:09Speaker 5: the center's face. I would like for to move that
- 5:12Speaker 5: call and till the offensive lineman you got that guy.
- 5:15Speaker 2: What does that do?
- 5:16Speaker 5: It keeps the center in the center of the line
- 5:18Speaker 5: instead of pushing him left to where he can now
- 5:21Speaker 5: read a looping guy. So that is the next level
- 5:24Speaker 5: IQ thing that comes.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:26Speaker 5: I don't know if he has the freedom to do that,
- 5:28Speaker 5: but if we know we have pressure, let's not slide
- 5:31Speaker 5: our center left or right because of these games that
- 5:35Speaker 5: they like to play, and we know the right side
- 5:36Speaker 5: has been the little bit more leaky side.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Right, let's watch it again.
- 5:40Speaker 4: If he you also have the tight end on that
- 5:42Speaker 4: side as well, so it makes even more sense.
- 5:45Speaker 3: And he's read clear.
- 5:45Speaker 5: I would call this a thump or a nudge by
- 5:47Speaker 5: the tight end helping helping that guy. But a thump
- 5:50Speaker 5: er nudge right here from the back end is not
- 5:52Speaker 5: going to help this game. That's what we call a
- 5:55Speaker 5: Do you remember what that game is called, Calandra?
- 5:58Speaker 6: Wait, what did you say?
- 5:59Speaker 2: The game that the defensive defensive line is playing right.
- 6:02Speaker 5: Right, defensive tackle goes first, and then the defensive end
- 6:07Speaker 5: loops around.
- 6:09Speaker 2: I don't know, we're a te right there. Tackle first,
- 6:13Speaker 2: the e loop, and the.
- 6:14Speaker 4: End would have gone first, and the tackle would have looped.
- 6:16Speaker 4: It would have been a yep.
- 6:18Speaker 5: So watch seventy eight right here, you see seventy eight.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Right here, you see where his eyes are. His eyes
- 6:24Speaker 5: seventy eight's eyes. Left guard is two number five over there,
- 6:27Speaker 5: looking right at him. Now, if Nussmeyer changes the mic
- 6:30Speaker 5: declaration to twenty nine, which is wild because you're changing
- 6:33Speaker 5: it to the dB, but you know pressure's not coming,
- 6:36Speaker 5: seventy eight all of a sudden engages with a defensive tackle.
- 6:40Speaker 5: Sixty one has his eyes on twenty nine, and then
- 6:42Speaker 5: once he's not coming, looks for help. And who would
- 6:45Speaker 5: he help? He would help this big old boy coming
- 6:48Speaker 5: right here carrating that pressure. If that happens, Garyts sits
- 6:52Speaker 5: in the pocket, throws a dime. Probably big, big play.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Yeah, probably big play because and look.
- 6:57Speaker 5: This is what we talked about. This is where a
- 6:59Speaker 5: torso injury can really hurt you. When your feet are
- 7:01Speaker 5: off platform, they get parallel to your target, and you
- 7:03Speaker 5: got to really create a lot of torque. By keeping
- 7:05Speaker 5: that left shoulder close as much as you can creates
- 7:08Speaker 5: a lot of torque.
- 7:08Speaker 4: You know, if he doesn't have injury, that thrower hurt, Yeah, seriously,
- 7:13Speaker 4: he doesn't bad. Yeah, and that's a that's a great breakdown,
- 7:17Speaker 4: you're right, Like simply moving the mic declaration over from
- 7:20Speaker 4: one guy to another, then you would have center help
- 7:23Speaker 4: and the center would be right there. So when the
- 7:25Speaker 4: looper looped, and even though the guard's being held, which
- 7:28Speaker 4: is good defense, he would be able to help pick
- 7:30Speaker 4: him up right there. Garry Nesmyer would have time and
- 7:32Speaker 4: he hits burying Brown there on the crosser.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And look, loopers are hard.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Like you tell me how good you're like those of
- 7:39Speaker 5: you watching and be able to watch it at home
- 7:41Speaker 5: or watching on YouTube, Like you tell me how you
- 7:43Speaker 5: would protect that if you're the right guard. It's hard
- 7:45Speaker 5: to come off an engagement like that.
- 7:48Speaker 4: That's why they don't call defensive holding on that, which technically,
- 7:51Speaker 4: like is something you could call.
- 7:53Speaker 3: They don't call that.
- 7:54Speaker 5: They don't they call it every now and then. But
- 7:58Speaker 5: that's why you're seeing it in college football a lot
- 8:00Speaker 5: now because it's really hard to pick up. Even in
- 8:02Speaker 5: the NFL you're seeing it and it's really hard to
- 8:04Speaker 5: pick up. I saw yesterday, I think it was one
- 8:06Speaker 5: of the night games yesterday they did a safety end
- 8:09Speaker 5: game and they got Khalil Mack yeah free because they
- 8:13Speaker 5: hit the tackle with the safety and like made him
- 8:15Speaker 5: loop around. So I like moving those on regular six
- 8:19Speaker 5: man protections and eleven personnel. I like moving trying if
- 8:21Speaker 5: you can, trying to move the mic declaration in as
- 8:24Speaker 5: tight as possible, keep that center and the engage in
- 8:27Speaker 5: the center.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Yeah, And that's you know something that like if you're
- 8:31Speaker 3: watching the game and you're like, wait, how's that running free? Yeah,
- 8:35Speaker 3: Scott Free.
- 8:35Speaker 4: That when you take a look at it, the defensive
- 8:37Speaker 4: tackles doing a nice job of not getting called for
- 8:39Speaker 4: a penalty. He's holding up the guard. The tackles in
- 8:42Speaker 4: no man's land. There's nothing in the tackle can do. Actually,
- 8:44Speaker 4: Wes and Davis on that play tried to like come
- 8:47Speaker 4: back and get a piece tribe of the defensive line.
- 8:50Speaker 5: But that's the difference between you see quarterbacks like in
- 8:53Speaker 5: the NFL, you're like, man, how would they like like
- 8:57Speaker 5: if so and so had had protection that this guy, like,
- 9:00Speaker 5: it'd be so much better. Like you see guys that
- 9:02Speaker 5: maybe not have like a lot of time. You look
- 9:04Speaker 5: at Anthony Anthony Richardson all the time in the world,
- 9:06Speaker 5: but then you see guy like Daniel Jones. Maybe Daniel
- 9:09Speaker 5: Jones is making those little subtle mic declarations that make
- 9:12Speaker 5: all the difference in the world. You talk about the
- 9:14Speaker 5: difference of a big play and an almost interception on
- 9:18Speaker 5: that last that that clip we just showed was the
- 9:21Speaker 5: difference of a mic declaration.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Yep, nothing to do with physicality, right, are you know
- 9:28Speaker 4: losing your individual battle? Well, yeah, it didn't have anything.
- 9:31Speaker 4: It was a good, good game by them. You gotta
- 9:34Speaker 4: have help. All right, we'll take a break, but before

- 11:07Speaker 3: Nice job of Landra pest Mode.
- 11:08Speaker 6: Don't moss. I saw him in concert a few years
- 11:13Speaker 6: ago and they're old. Know they were still really awesome.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Good to hear because you never know.
- 11:18Speaker 6: Oh man, he was like dancing around the stage like
- 11:21Speaker 6: he sounded good. The band sounded great. It was so awesome.
- 11:24Speaker 3: That's awesome because you never know when you go see
- 11:26Speaker 3: a legend.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like old man, they're on the old Biloxi
- 11:30Speaker 4: Casino tour.
- 11:32Speaker 3: How are they are they still good?
- 11:34Speaker 6: What happened to me with Travis tript A?
- 11:37Speaker 3: The rice wasn't cooking in the microwave anymore.
- 11:42Speaker 6: He left it a little too long.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Or maybe not long enough. It was a little too Yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 5: I saw I saw Brookson done in May at the
- 11:53Speaker 5: same of My Boots concert. They were great, but they
- 11:57Speaker 5: were like Joe Biden walking around.
- 12:02Speaker 3: I saw my fellow.
- 12:03Speaker 2: They're still good. A lot of hair and Beard Die is.
- 12:07Speaker 6: The only one that ye disappointed.
- 12:08Speaker 5: We can still sing though, like the songs are still great.
- 12:11Speaker 5: But yeah, it was it was. They were creeping around
- 12:13Speaker 5: that stage a little bit. Yeah, still doing it.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Shout out.
- 12:17Speaker 4: I hope, I pray So the Eagles. Something that the
- 12:22Speaker 4: Eagles like, you know, it's like they're farewell.
- 12:26Speaker 5: For ye A couple of years late. A couple of
- 12:29Speaker 5: years late. Yeah, sure, hey get it. People are willing
- 12:33Speaker 5: to pay you do it.
- 12:34Speaker 4: It's tough to see, you know, legends age not for everything, people,
- 12:39Speaker 4: Not everything's for sale.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Not everyone's a vampire like Tom Brady. You know.
- 12:45Speaker 6: Yeah, maybe it's a Tom thing because.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Tom Cruise is also a vampire. That's true. That's true.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Any other times that's it.
- 12:55Speaker 4: Okay, that's true.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Tom Hanks got a good run. That's looking pretty ageless.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's true.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Maybe it's just Tom Tom Holland it's about fourteen, Yeah,
- 13:11Speaker 4: he's probably thirty.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Probably that's a good point. Huh, there's something to this,
- 13:16Speaker 2: I think. Hmmm. Speaking of Tom.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Brady, that's why I was trying to transition to That
- 13:23Speaker 4: was pretty good. We just got this man with a
- 13:26Speaker 4: headset on.
- 13:27Speaker 2: We just got him in the coaching booth right behind
- 13:30Speaker 2: the play.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Card with a headset on and what headphones? A headset?
- 13:35Speaker 4: What with a microphone with a tablet in front of
- 13:38Speaker 4: it in a suit?
- 13:39Speaker 2: Yeah? Do you see the camera scanned on him and.
- 13:41Speaker 4: He kind of like, oh god, chair, It's kind of
- 13:44Speaker 4: like his mouth didn't move.
- 13:46Speaker 3: He's like, I'm not saying a word, knowing he was
- 13:48Speaker 3: probably talking.
- 13:49Speaker 2: It was like a Cold Play concert at the Sphere,
- 13:52Speaker 2: which definitely was.
- 13:54Speaker 5: What quarter was this? I don't remember, but you could.
- 13:57Speaker 5: You could pull up. You can pull up us.
- 14:00Speaker 3: That's all people are talking.
- 14:02Speaker 5: About it because like, you got this guy calling games,
- 14:05Speaker 5: so he gets inside access to all these coaches, players,
- 14:09Speaker 5: He gets to go to practices the day before games.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Like didn't they shoot him out of practice?
- 14:13Speaker 2: Yes? Okay they shout him out of practice.
- 14:15Speaker 3: He should be because they were like, we can't have
- 14:17Speaker 3: you in our building.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like if you're another team, Yeah, I ain't
- 14:20Speaker 2: tell this dude nothing.
- 14:21Speaker 4: And it's not like he's like a you know, minority
- 14:24Speaker 4: in the distance owner. Like when you're in the the booth,
- 14:27Speaker 4: the coaching booth, with a headset and a tablet in
- 14:30Speaker 4: front of you like you're in it.
- 14:32Speaker 3: And he said, like Chip Kelly's like, you know, talk
- 14:34Speaker 3: to him like basically every day.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 14:36Speaker 5: They said they meet two or three times to go
- 14:37Speaker 5: over the game plan and watch film.
- 14:41Speaker 2: What what? Yeah, all right, I.
- 14:43Speaker 6: Meanders, Yeah, that's what we're talking about.
- 14:48Speaker 4: This is him, Like, look, that is a headset, they
- 14:51Speaker 4: tablet in front of him.
- 14:53Speaker 5: This feels like like you know what if he put
- 14:58Speaker 5: a hat on and he put just a Raiders hood,
- 15:00Speaker 5: maybe he doesn't stick out.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I got he suited and booted.
- 15:04Speaker 6: Yeah, jawline, you can't miss you.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Can't miss that. John's so handsome. Jaw me. I don't know,
- 15:12Speaker 2: how do you feel about this?
- 15:15Speaker 5: I'm not even gonna say it's like it's not slimmy
- 15:17Speaker 5: because well, they're letting him do it.
- 15:19Speaker 2: He's got this great job on.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Came from he came from the Patriots, which they've been
- 15:23Speaker 4: known to dabble in extracurriculars.
- 15:27Speaker 2: They're the ones I got caught.
- 15:28Speaker 3: He's calling games.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Well, I mean, stealing signs because you're good at it,
- 15:32Speaker 4: and stealing because you're filming is different.
- 15:34Speaker 5: It's kind of like I like the Astros, like, I'm
- 15:37Speaker 5: sure other people are doing it. We don't know that, No,
- 15:41Speaker 5: we don't. Never didn't hear any trash cans, Lance Armstrong
- 15:43Speaker 5: with the Tour de France. Everybody's doing it. Just the
- 15:48Speaker 5: best one, Barry Bonds, just the best one.
- 15:51Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't. I don't know many hated.
- 15:53Speaker 4: I don't know many other minority owners that have a
- 15:56Speaker 4: headset and tablet.
- 15:58Speaker 2: No good point. He wouldn't call them plays. I'll tell
- 16:02Speaker 2: you that the new owner.
- 16:05Speaker 6: Look, people are like kind of saying stuff about I
- 16:08Speaker 6: think the internet is pretty split down the middle about it.
- 16:11Speaker 6: But I do see people making some negative comments about Carly,
- 16:16Speaker 6: the new Colts owner, that she was the daughter of
- 16:19Speaker 6: what was.
- 16:19Speaker 3: His name, Jim j.
- 16:21Speaker 6: I was like Jeff, but I actually kind of like,
- 16:25Speaker 6: I mean they're two and oh maybe it's working. And
- 16:29Speaker 6: I've read this other thing.
- 16:30Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 16:31Speaker 6: I never really kept up with the Colts, but that
- 16:33Speaker 6: she's done that regularly and people are just kind of
- 16:35Speaker 6: now noticing it. But I mean, I'm I don't see anything, you.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Know, so she's she's always actually like her answer, yeah,
- 16:43Speaker 4: campaign's people millions of dollars. Yeah, I want to make
- 16:46Speaker 4: sure that they're not just be honest, honestly a long
- 16:50Speaker 4: way like make sure that idiots.
- 16:51Speaker 5: Even if unless like you're you have bad intentions, like honestly,
- 16:55Speaker 5: like people just can relate to right, Like, okay, we
- 16:58Speaker 5: get it.
- 16:58Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Right.
- 17:00Speaker 7: It came out when when they were getting the team
- 17:02Speaker 7: because it's three daughters, right, it's not just her.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Yeah, But the reason she's in.
- 17:07Speaker 7: The role she is is because Jim was like, she's
- 17:10Speaker 7: been here, she she's she's done stuff like that, She's
- 17:14Speaker 7: charted things for them before. And like, I'm paying a
- 17:16Speaker 7: defensive tackle fifteen million a year and he ain't performing.
- 17:19Speaker 7: I'm writing that down.
- 17:20Speaker 2: He's getting cut.
- 17:22Speaker 6: I don't hate it, but.
- 17:26Speaker 4: I mean it does give what's the difference in that?
- 17:28Speaker 4: And like our boss listens probably to our shows. I'm
- 17:31Speaker 4: sure Flynn Foster listens.
- 17:32Speaker 3: To this show. He might be listening right now. I
- 17:36Speaker 3: sat listens all the time, same situation.
- 17:40Speaker 6: But it does give like HBO Max sitcom vibes whenever
- 17:43Speaker 6: I see clips of it, because she was like, I mean,
- 17:46Speaker 6: it's late through the field and her assistant or what
- 17:49Speaker 6: I could guess is her assistant is like running next
- 17:51Speaker 6: to her. So it just it really gives HBO Max sickcom.
- 17:56Speaker 6: But I don't know, I don't have I like it.
- 17:58Speaker 6: They're two and oh.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I got no issue with it.
- 18:03Speaker 5: I do understand like the sitcom, like aspect the visuals
- 18:06Speaker 5: of it, because it's just different. It's new, like you've
- 18:09Speaker 5: never seen that before. There is something to be said
- 18:12Speaker 5: for like wanting to keep an eye on your investment,
- 18:14Speaker 5: but then you also invested in a GM and a
- 18:16Speaker 5: head coach that's supposed to do that as well, like
- 18:18Speaker 5: you can't micro manage every little thing. I think she
- 18:21Speaker 5: probably just enjoys it, right, She just enjoys it, wants
- 18:23Speaker 5: to be a part of it. She wants to be
- 18:24Speaker 5: part of the team, which is fine, which is absolutely
- 18:27Speaker 5: I'm surprised Jerry Jones hadn't done that and Shane Stiking
- 18:30Speaker 5: not exactly.
- 18:33Speaker 4: No Shane in list of hate on my boy Shane.
- 18:37Speaker 7: When they were coming into the season, right, people were like, yeah,
- 18:41Speaker 7: and they may have to clean out they got Danny times.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Now, Well that's what she's doing.
- 18:45Speaker 7: She's running up and down the souths and making sure
- 18:47Speaker 7: like Richardson's not that, do not put him.
- 18:50Speaker 2: She's like, he will not go in the game.
- 18:52Speaker 5: I'm not going to cut him because I don't want
- 18:54Speaker 5: to overstep my GM. But you don't play Anthony Richardson.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Let's just don't have him put on a uniform today.
- 19:02Speaker 5: But yeah, like the Tom Brady that, I got no
- 19:04Speaker 5: issue with him being in the like up there, Like
- 19:06Speaker 5: he's a huge asset for somebody to have, right, it's
- 19:09Speaker 5: Tom Brady, He's the goat. It's just the optics aren't
- 19:13Speaker 5: great when he does the broadcast and he does get
- 19:16Speaker 5: a little bit access. Now I know it's been handcuffed
- 19:18Speaker 5: and tailoring back a little bit.
- 19:21Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 19:22Speaker 5: I don't really have any opinion on I just wanted
- 19:25Speaker 5: to thought it was an interesting point because people, a
- 19:26Speaker 5: lot of people do have opinions on it.
- 19:29Speaker 4: You know what, at the end of the day, it
- 19:31Speaker 4: didn't matter because the bolt still whipped up on them.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Sorry ass raps.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Maybe Tom Brady sucks at doing that.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Yeah, sorry, Pete Carroll that you turned seventy four yesterday.
- 19:41Speaker 4: Happy birthday. Here's an l right, not birthday. Not happy birthday?
- 19:46Speaker 3: Pete.
- 19:47Speaker 2: You benched me. Yeah, you're punk, you punk, got my
- 19:51Speaker 2: hopes up. You took it away from me.
- 19:56Speaker 4: Do you remember when we went to when we went
- 19:59Speaker 4: to dinner, when I came, when I came on my
- 20:01Speaker 4: free agent visit and we went to dinner, and it
- 20:04Speaker 4: was me, you, Lacy, Pete Carroll, John Schneider, and oh,
- 20:10Speaker 4: my gosh, what's his name? Player coach hold On. He's
- 20:14Speaker 4: a GM for the pan Dan Morgan. Okay, god, I
- 20:17Speaker 4: couldn't get there. Played at Miami. He played for the Panthers.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Found it and Pete wasn't going to be there. And
- 20:23Speaker 4: then all of a sudden, like he shows up and
- 20:24Speaker 4: he's like kind of out of breadth, a little basic. Yeah,
- 20:26Speaker 4: I just got a little lot of workout and I
- 20:28Speaker 4: wanted to come stop by and uh sit.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Down for a little bet.
- 20:31Speaker 4: He like couldn't catch his breath, Like he like he
- 20:33Speaker 4: ran there. I'm like, Pete, my god, take a breath. Guy,
- 20:36Speaker 4: like a deep one.
- 20:39Speaker 5: He's a good catch. He runs a good, little, good
- 20:42Speaker 5: good program. Even though he benched me, Yeah, maybe they
- 20:44Speaker 5: stole my dreams.
- 20:45Speaker 4: Even though he offered me a contract that had zero
- 20:48Speaker 4: VET guarantees.
- 20:49Speaker 3: He wanted me to sign my life away.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Hey, yeah, so if you get hurt, we're gonna avoid
- 20:54Speaker 4: all these veteran guarantees that every other team has, and
- 20:56Speaker 4: we're just gonna cut.
- 20:57Speaker 3: You and not give you anything. No Severiancy there, Ryeah, No,
- 21:00Speaker 3: I ain't.
- 21:02Speaker 4: I'm good, Pete, I'm gonna sign I think, yeah, I'm good.
- 21:07Speaker 4: To Denver Bud, I'm cool. So all right, before we
- 21:11Speaker 4: take this break, I want to throw it back to
- 21:14Speaker 4: Taita because we mentioned it yesterday during the show, kind
- 21:18Speaker 4: of at the very end of the show. But LSU
- 21:23Speaker 4: does get a big quarterback commit. And now this is
- 21:26Speaker 4: not twenty twenty six, this is twenty twenty seven, and
- 21:29Speaker 4: we've talked about the twenty twenty seven class for over
- 21:32Speaker 4: a year now because it's loaded. And not only was
- 21:35Speaker 4: it loaded, but it was loaded with guys that had
- 21:38Speaker 4: strong LSU slash Louisiana ties. You had, you know Houston,
- 21:44Speaker 4: who ends up committing, which Taita is gonna tell you about.
- 21:47Speaker 4: Elijah Haven here in Baton Rouge. You had you know,
- 21:50Speaker 4: Gary Nessmaier's brother. Obvious he's gonna have ties to LSU.
- 21:54Speaker 4: You have another quarterback in North Louisiana that's like a
- 21:56Speaker 4: top fifteen quarterback in the country. You had Philip riversun
- 22:02Speaker 4: Gunner Rivers who Stephen Rivers played at LSU. Right, still
- 22:05Speaker 4: an LSU fan, Right, they're right down the road in
- 22:08Speaker 4: the mobile area. So like all these quarterbacks, at least
- 22:10Speaker 4: top quarterbacks had some kind of a tide either Louisiana
- 22:14Speaker 4: or LSU. So you felt good, you felt good about
- 22:16Speaker 4: getting one and tatay they end up getting one yesterday
- 22:18Speaker 4: to at least commit.
- 22:20Speaker 7: Yeah, Peyton Houston maybe my favorite quarterback in the state.
- 22:23Speaker 7: I know there's a lot of debate on who's the
- 22:26Speaker 7: best quarterback in twenty twenty seven. Look, he's only five
- 22:29Speaker 7: to eleven. I don't care about that. This guy's a
- 22:31Speaker 7: gamer when the lights come on. Like, if you've ever
- 22:33Speaker 7: watched this guy play, you know what I'm talking about.
- 22:36Speaker 7: I mean through for forty five hundred yards and thirty
- 22:38Speaker 7: eight touchdowns a year ago and only turned it over
- 22:40Speaker 7: six times. And a lot of people are going to say, yeah,
- 22:44Speaker 7: but Peyton Houston's one dimensional, he's a pocket passer.
- 22:47Speaker 2: No, he's not.
- 22:47Speaker 7: He had six hundred and ninety yards rushing a year ago.
- 22:50Speaker 7: Now he's not constantly looking to run. But this is
- 22:53Speaker 7: a guy that could take off. He scored seven rushing
- 22:55Speaker 7: touchdowns a year ago. I really like Peyton Houston. I mean,
- 22:58Speaker 7: the guy's just a gamer.
- 23:02Speaker 4: I I wonder And we caught like the back end
- 23:06Speaker 4: of Shade Dixon talking at the event that we did
- 23:09Speaker 4: on Friday, and someone asked him this question about, you know,
- 23:11Speaker 4: maybe getting two quarterbacks in this class, and I thought
- 23:14Speaker 4: Shae had a great answer. He said, well, if you
- 23:17Speaker 4: get one, don't count nus Meyer out because like, if
- 23:21Speaker 4: you you know, can make a case and see a
- 23:23Speaker 4: path for two quarterbacks, it's going to involve Nussmeyer being
- 23:26Speaker 4: one of them.
- 23:27Speaker 3: And I agree, like, obviously I have strong ties.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Your brother was a star at LSU and he sat
- 23:32Speaker 4: and he waited his turn and it benefited him from
- 23:35Speaker 4: doing so, so that could you know, it's not going
- 23:37Speaker 4: to scare off I think neus Meyer from maybe committing
- 23:41Speaker 4: or signing.
- 23:41Speaker 3: And look, you got to get to the finish line.
- 23:43Speaker 4: We all know that that class is way down the
- 23:46Speaker 4: road there, but it's a big class and you just
- 23:49Speaker 4: have to make sure you get one of the players
- 23:51Speaker 4: that we're talking about with strong Louisiana ties.
- 23:53Speaker 5: Yeah, the finish line is so far away the long way.
- 23:57Speaker 7: December six is the earliest Houston two.
- 24:01Speaker 5: Yeah, December twenty twenty six, what's this year. Well, you
- 24:07Speaker 5: know now we're in twenty five. Oh, okay, for about
- 24:10Speaker 5: fourteen months and two christmases?
- 24:13Speaker 2: Got it.
- 24:14Speaker 5: But yeah, so you're talking about Dustbiner and you're talking
- 24:16Speaker 5: about if there was two. Like genetics, DNA is not
- 24:21Speaker 5: just like physical, it's also mental too, like his older
- 24:23Speaker 5: brother had went the path of the most resistance to
- 24:27Speaker 5: be a starting quarterback right when in a day and age,
- 24:29Speaker 5: which that just doesn't happen. And I could tell you
- 24:31Speaker 5: when I was in high school, I was under the
- 24:34Speaker 5: understanding of my signing.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Class that we were taking two quarterbacks. There's two quarterbacks
- 24:37Speaker 2: are taken.
- 24:38Speaker 5: Yeah, And I remember jimbo Fisher telling me indixation, Jim,
- 24:42Speaker 5: we have offered five quarterbacks.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Wow, including you.
- 24:47Speaker 5: Five quarterbacks and maybe it was six, I can't remember.
- 24:49Speaker 5: They're like, we all think y'all are great. We think
- 24:51Speaker 5: y'all all can be a starting quarterback here. We all
- 24:53Speaker 5: we want all of y'all equally. We're taking the first
- 24:57Speaker 5: two that commit.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Basically was that.
- 25:00Speaker 5: Now it turns out the first two the committed didn't
- 25:03Speaker 5: end up signing because they apparently they would have won
- 25:05Speaker 5: a little bit more. They wanted to Marcus a little
- 25:07Speaker 5: bit more. They kept recruiting him after the two were committed,
- 25:09Speaker 5: But I knew from like, so I can tell you
- 25:11Speaker 5: it's if that message is there. I do think you
- 25:15Speaker 5: need to be upfront with all the quarterbacks saying there's
- 25:18Speaker 5: a possibility we take two quarterbacks.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Yeah, in this class.
- 25:21Speaker 5: You don't surprise a quarterback that's committed to you in
- 25:25Speaker 5: high school. You don't surprise him by taking a second quarterback.
- 25:28Speaker 5: It's like an upfront situation. Hey, but we're recruiting you,
- 25:32Speaker 5: We're offering four quarterbacks. We're offering five quarterbacks. There's a
- 25:34Speaker 5: potential we could take two. I want that to be
- 25:37Speaker 5: a part of your decision. I want you to be
- 25:38Speaker 5: okay with competition. I want you to be a dog.
- 25:41Speaker 5: I want you to come in here and don't care
- 25:43Speaker 5: if we take two. Make make sure it's you.
- 25:47Speaker 3: And not everybody's going to be okay with that.
- 25:50Speaker 4: But to your point, like in the DNA of what
- 25:52Speaker 4: we've seen from the nuss Meyer family, like Colt Nuschmeyer
- 25:56Speaker 4: might be just that. And look he's three and ninety pounds.
- 26:02Speaker 4: He's a different body type than his brother as well,
- 26:04Speaker 4: but still like was raising the same household and with
- 26:07Speaker 4: the same mentality, so like not going to run from competition.
- 26:10Speaker 5: Tough situation to be in as a coaching staff too.
- 26:12Speaker 5: Even if you just want to take one, I get
- 26:14Speaker 5: the finish line so far away. You have a lot
- 26:17Speaker 5: of talent in that class at the quarterback position, a
- 26:19Speaker 5: lot of them with the ties here to LSU. So
- 26:21Speaker 5: you know you stand a pretty good chance with everybody. Yeah,
- 26:24Speaker 5: and if you just wanted to take one, what do
- 26:26Speaker 5: you do when they commit? You can't stop recruiting them.
- 26:29Speaker 5: And then if you stop recruiting them to you pissed
- 26:30Speaker 5: the one guy off. That's that's committed. Like it's it's
- 26:33Speaker 5: kind of like a recruiting's tough man. It's a there's
- 26:35Speaker 5: a there's a smart way to do things, but it's
- 26:39Speaker 5: also a personal thing too. It's a you have to
- 26:41Speaker 5: know how to deal with people. You have to know
- 26:42Speaker 5: how to make sure they're still feeling love if they're committed.
- 26:47Speaker 5: But also understand that we still have to recruit somebody
- 26:50Speaker 5: because you haven't signed yet, and you could decide not
- 26:53Speaker 5: to sign here. Yeah, we can't be holding an empty bucket.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Lance Rechard inside the by you forward chat, do people
- 27:01Speaker 4: still care about recruiting anymore with the current landscape of recruiting,
- 27:04Speaker 4: especially from a kid that's fifteen months from signedday notes
- 27:07Speaker 4: a Valley question and Lance, I mean obviously, like we
- 27:10Speaker 4: used to on sports radio talk about recruiting all the time,
- 27:14Speaker 4: I mean all the time. It's like you had to
- 27:17Speaker 4: do a segment a day and the Bayou Bash. Oh
- 27:21Speaker 4: remember how big that used to be. Right, the facts
- 27:23Speaker 4: is coming in and everybody's holding their breath. To your point, no,
- 27:26Speaker 4: because of the transfer portal, it's like a lot of
- 27:28Speaker 4: people lost interest because it's like, oh, they even gonna
- 27:31Speaker 4: be here in a year, two years, whatever. I do
- 27:35Speaker 4: think still quarterback plays, though again we don't talk recruiting
- 27:38Speaker 4: on this show very often at all, and you're right,
- 27:40Speaker 4: he is far away. But this twenty twenty seven quarterback
- 27:42Speaker 4: class is special, and again with so many Louisiana slash
- 27:46Speaker 4: lsu ties, I think it is a must that you
- 27:50Speaker 4: get one of the top guys or it would be
- 27:52Speaker 4: a big miss. And so like to your point, I
- 27:55Speaker 4: agree with you, but this is a unique situation just
- 27:58Speaker 4: because of it being quarterback, having like five guys to
- 28:03Speaker 4: kind of not choose from. I'm not saying everybody's like
- 28:05Speaker 4: knocking down the door. Like we've heard Elijah Haven might
- 28:08Speaker 4: be leaning towards Florida, but you need to get one
- 28:11Speaker 4: in this class, and you might get two if you
- 28:14Speaker 4: can still, you know, continue to recruit Coltonusmeyer and he comes,
- 28:18Speaker 4: which I think with today's landscape of quarterbacks leaving all
- 28:22Speaker 4: the time, like if you can stack quarterbacks and absolutely.
- 28:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't think anybody who's ever been on a
- 28:30Speaker 5: radio cares less about high schooler's decisions than me. But
- 28:35Speaker 5: quarterback does always play. It is a big decision. You
- 28:38Speaker 5: see quarterbacks playing at such a young age right now.
- 28:41Speaker 5: It's the It's just quarterback play. Doesn't matter what it is,
- 28:44Speaker 5: transfer high school recruit, good, bad, ugly, whatever it is,
- 28:48Speaker 5: it always plays. It's always a big deal because it's
- 28:50Speaker 5: the most important position. That's not to take anything away
- 28:53Speaker 5: from every other position. It's just a fact of the
- 28:55Speaker 5: matter that it really is. You can you can have
- 28:59Speaker 5: the greatest team on earth, but if you don't have
- 29:00Speaker 5: a competitive quarterback, it doesn't really matter how good everybody
- 29:03Speaker 5: else is.
- 29:04Speaker 3: You have to be good. Yeah.
- 29:06Speaker 4: So LSU does get a commit, but look, we also
- 29:09Speaker 4: realize that that finish line is not insight. You gotta
- 29:11Speaker 4: get some binoculars out to see it. But we'll continue
- 29:15Speaker 4: to update you. And does LSU take a twenty twenty
- 29:17Speaker 4: six quarterback is still a part of the story as well.
- 29:21Speaker 4: All right, we will step away more OTB when we

- 32:00Speaker 4: bit sporty.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Now, let's go, let's keep it going. I signed up
- 32:05Speaker 2: for this, let's go.
- 32:06Speaker 6: I have breaking sports news. Well we didn't go around
- 32:11Speaker 6: the room this morning because there was a lot of
- 32:12Speaker 6: foot like NFL just like actual news to talk about it.
- 32:15Speaker 6: And I know that's like actually what we're supposed to
- 32:18Speaker 6: talk about. Uh allegedly that's what the say, yes, but
- 32:23Speaker 6: we dictate what we talk about here. But I was
- 32:25Speaker 6: gonna say, like I came across the story this morning
- 32:28Speaker 6: and it kind of like it rocked me a little bit.
- 32:33Speaker 6: So everybody's familiar with stone skipping, right, like skipping stone?
- 32:38Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, so they.
- 32:39Speaker 6: Do a national like an international championship actually, so like
- 32:43Speaker 6: people go out there. It's called the Stone the World
- 32:46Speaker 6: Stone Skimming Championships naturally, where you go out there and
- 32:50Speaker 6: literally you just skip stones, right, and they try to see.
- 32:53Speaker 6: More than twenty two hundred people from twenty seven countries
- 32:57Speaker 6: attended this year's Stone Skimming Championship, right is it distance?
- 33:03Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 33:03Speaker 6: And it's scott too, So I don't know the article
- 33:07Speaker 6: that I read doesn't really say like how far, so
- 33:11Speaker 6: we can look into it. But the article that I
- 33:13Speaker 6: read did not say multiple people have been disqualified for
- 33:22Speaker 6: from the stone skimming. Nope, they're not weighted, but they are.
- 33:27Speaker 6: They did kind of shave them a little bit to
- 33:29Speaker 6: make them more circular.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Wow, So.
- 33:33Speaker 6: People disqualified and just messing with the integrity the skimming championship.
- 33:41Speaker 6: Wow in Scotland. Disrespectful to the sport.
- 33:44Speaker 5: You think Vegas had a little to do with this,
- 33:47Speaker 5: probably had some ods on it, so they got to
- 33:51Speaker 5: shave it to be more round. I was thinking it
- 33:53Speaker 5: might be like a Christmas vacation situation where they greased
- 33:56Speaker 5: up the bottom of it.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 33:57Speaker 6: No, so they so they're actually like a thing that
- 34:01Speaker 6: they used to measure the stones because they have to
- 34:05Speaker 6: be like at least three inches in measurement, right, So
- 34:10Speaker 6: they actually measure the stones and everything, and people were
- 34:14Speaker 6: just shaving them to make them perfectly circular so that
- 34:19Speaker 6: they skip better.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Can't shave your stones. That's a good one. That was serious.
- 34:28Speaker 6: This is a serious story.
- 34:30Speaker 5: Yeah, it rocks nice one twenty seven countries.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Is that right?
- 34:37Speaker 6: Twenty seven Coty?
- 34:38Speaker 5: You think this was a bring your own stone kind
- 34:40Speaker 5: of competition or you or you walk the river.
- 34:43Speaker 6: So yeah, they have to come naturally, they have to
- 34:46Speaker 6: come from an island slate, so they have to be
- 34:51Speaker 6: that you have to find them like around the island,
- 34:55Speaker 6: so it is kind of first come, first serve you
- 34:57Speaker 6: find fixed stone. These people were shaving them.
- 35:01Speaker 2: And how many people?
- 35:03Speaker 3: How many? How many people people?
- 35:06Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, I don't know how many people got disqualified clear,
- 35:10Speaker 6: but more than twenty two hundred people went to the competition. Wow,
- 35:14Speaker 6: from twenty seven different countries, all gathered on the west
- 35:17Speaker 6: coast of Scotland. And these people are out here shaving
- 35:21Speaker 6: their stones.
- 35:22Speaker 7: It makes sense that you have to get it from there,
- 35:24Speaker 7: you know, I mean twenty seven different countries.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Not everybody's stones are the same.
- 35:27Speaker 7: Size, so the different size yeah, like actually makes a
- 35:30Speaker 7: lot of sense.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Yeah, Brett brings up a good point.
- 35:34Speaker 4: Take some serious stones to think you can cheat the
- 35:36Speaker 4: system to get away with That's exactly right.
- 35:38Speaker 6: Sometimes like the guy that was putting weights in his fish.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Oh yeah, oh you know, fishermen, you lie about it.
- 35:49Speaker 6: Nothing sick.
- 35:49Speaker 4: You can have like a five pound bass, which is
- 35:51Speaker 4: a monster bass, right, And it's actually like four point six.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Yeah right, and if you.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Say five pounds fish like real fishermen, like way, five
- 35:59Speaker 4: pound four point six.
- 36:03Speaker 2: I remember the.
- 36:03Speaker 7: Worst part about that video, if y'all remember about that
- 36:06Speaker 7: he had to stand up on the platform, get called
- 36:09Speaker 7: out for cheating, then walk through the crowd of angry
- 36:12Speaker 7: people to his truck to get out of them. He
- 36:15Speaker 7: wound up having to payback like yeah, big seventy five thousand.
- 36:20Speaker 2: He had done it in so many tournaments.
- 36:21Speaker 5: And you know he got his ass b too. Yeah,
- 36:23Speaker 5: champion got he got hooked. He got fish hook for
- 36:27Speaker 5: real in a fight, like with a fishhook.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Again.
- 36:31Speaker 5: Like, so Scotland, I'm thinking of the stones, Like Scotland's
- 36:34Speaker 5: pretty famous for their stones too.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Yeah, they're like they're the only people I.
- 36:38Speaker 5: Think that make the official curling stones as well, really
- 36:41Speaker 5: like for Olympic curling things. I think the stones comes
- 36:44Speaker 5: from a specific type of rock.
- 36:46Speaker 6: Okay, so for reference in Scotland, Entrent Jonathan ooh, y'all
- 36:52Speaker 6: an American so Entrent Jonathan Jennings went onto victory last
- 36:57Speaker 6: week as the contest first American winner, giving his stones
- 37:02Speaker 6: accumulative distance of one hundred and seventy seven meters so
- 37:05Speaker 6: just for like a point of reference, that is the
- 37:08Speaker 6: champion last weeks.
- 37:12Speaker 5: I mean, what kind of torque. He does not have
- 37:14Speaker 5: a tour, He does not have a torso injury at all.
- 37:18Speaker 5: He is creating so much torque in so many levers
- 37:21Speaker 5: with his arm. I mean, and you got it. You
- 37:23Speaker 5: got to drop down and side arm that thing too.
- 37:26Speaker 5: There's got to be like also like a regulation on
- 37:29Speaker 5: how far between the hand.
- 37:32Speaker 2: That lets it go and the first skip. Probably you
- 37:35Speaker 2: probably can't throw it like one hundred one hundred meters
- 37:37Speaker 2: in the air. So there's gotta be some sort of
- 37:40Speaker 2: rule on that. This is not year round, this is
- 37:42Speaker 2: something only I would imagine.
- 37:44Speaker 6: So each competitor is allowed for climates.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Because I'm saying stones aren't a big during the winter.
- 37:51Speaker 5: If you're on the on the banks of the river,
- 37:53Speaker 5: and even two stones right next to each other that
- 37:55Speaker 5: look like they belong, but they're not.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Going to be the same size. They might be different sizes.
- 38:01Speaker 6: So each competitors allowed three skins and stones must bounce
- 38:04Speaker 6: at least twice on the water before sinking, So you
- 38:08Speaker 6: got to get at least two bounces.
- 38:10Speaker 5: That's it, Okay, So it's like a little bit right.
- 38:13Speaker 5: I just looked, Yeah, average, you were just like, that's
- 38:17Speaker 5: just a long toss.
- 38:18Speaker 2: That's just a long.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Toss at that point.
- 38:21Speaker 5: Like, to me, a skip competition should be the amount
- 38:24Speaker 5: of skips you get right now, not really the distance
- 38:27Speaker 5: now one hundred and seventy seven meters, it isn't impressive even.
- 38:30Speaker 2: With two skips. Yeah.
- 38:33Speaker 6: Well, I don't know if that's how much he had, ye,
- 38:35Speaker 6: but you have.
- 38:35Speaker 5: To have to have at least that, so I guess
- 38:37Speaker 5: you're doing for distance with just I don't know how
- 38:39Speaker 5: it works, but I just looked up the world record
- 38:42Speaker 5: for most consecutive skips of a stone on water. Then
- 38:47Speaker 5: tell me what kind of stone this is. I'm assuming
- 38:50Speaker 5: it's an American stone, okay, because it was thrown by
- 38:53Speaker 5: an American USA, Kurt the mountain man Steiner.
- 38:59Speaker 3: I mean, I was born to do that.
- 39:01Speaker 2: He was born to dude, created the sport.
- 39:05Speaker 4: Born of a mountain. He ain't shaving stones, No, he ain't.
- 39:08Speaker 4: He's all man from USA.
- 39:11Speaker 5: In twenty thirteen at Red Bridge Alleghany National Forest, and
- 39:16Speaker 5: right here in America, Pennsylvania, skipped eighty eight times.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Oh my god, eighty.
- 39:22Speaker 6: That's crazy skips on water imagine that.
- 39:29Speaker 5: I can't imagine that talk, but that's what you get
- 39:31Speaker 5: when you get a good American stone.
- 39:33Speaker 6: I feel like this should be in the Olympics.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Olympic stones, I mean, you're better than breakdancing. Oh gosh,
- 39:40Speaker 2: I forgot about that. But I think, but I think
- 39:43Speaker 2: that the amount of stones, the amount of skips you
- 39:46Speaker 2: get distance, Well maybe you could like look in the Olympics.
- 39:51Speaker 7: You know you have ski and but there's seven different types,
- 39:54Speaker 7: Like what if you did distance and then number of skips,
- 39:57Speaker 7: like two separate competitions.
- 39:58Speaker 5: And then you get into the problem like in the Olympics,
- 40:01Speaker 5: and you have Russia with their performance enhancing, their stones
- 40:05Speaker 5: are gonna be a little bit smaller than everybody.
- 40:06Speaker 2: They're gonna cheat more aerodynamic, Yeah, smaller. You get it
- 40:13Speaker 2: because are the steroids.
- 40:16Speaker 3: We did get it. You don't have to explain it.
- 40:18Speaker 6: He MJ makes a good point. He said, I'm sure
- 40:20Speaker 6: the at least two skips rules is there so people
- 40:23Speaker 6: won't try to just throw it.
- 40:26Speaker 5: If you're going for a good one skip, I think
- 40:29Speaker 5: you would like skip it hard, skip it right hard,
- 40:32Speaker 5: right right in front of you, and then it like
- 40:34Speaker 5: pops up and you get that glide effect.
- 40:38Speaker 6: Now I'm gonna go skip some stones after this. Yeah,
- 40:42Speaker 6: underrated hobby of skipping stones.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Underrated always said it all right. Treats Melbourn injuries, though.
- 40:48Speaker 4: We seriously take a break out when we come back.
- 40:53Speaker 4: A lot of people yesterday were wondering if the Bengals
- 40:58Speaker 4: could make a play for Jamis Wins. Well, they've made
- 41:02Speaker 4: a play for some quarterbacks, and we'll tell you who
- 41:04Speaker 4: it is when we come back here on O TV.
- 41:08Speaker 4: Off the bench, all right, go to go Tommy's dot Com.
- 41:11Speaker 4: That's g a u X Tommy's whoy dot Com. I mean, look,
- 41:16Speaker 4: we've already laid it out, like if your name's Tom,
- 41:18Speaker 4: you're basically a vampire. You don't age, and you just
- 41:20Speaker 4: have all the energy in the world, and you're just
- 41:22Speaker 4: really good at what you do. And some would say
- 41:24Speaker 4: the best Tom Cruise Go's pretty good at action films.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Tom Brady guy was pretty good at throwing the football.
- 41:30Speaker 4: Tom Hanks, pretty good at rom comms. Tommy great at windows, Windows,
- 41:40Speaker 4: Doors inciding actually best of twenty twenty five advocate Best
- 41:43Speaker 4: Windows Tommy. So if your name's Tom, you're a winner.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Tom short for Tommy, Tommy short for toms Go Tommy's
- 41:54Speaker 4: dot com.
- 41:54Speaker 2: You nail that. Uh.
- 41:57Speaker 5: If you got a project coming up, make sure o't
- 42:00Speaker 5: miss an opportunity to call Tommy at Go Tommies dot
- 42:03Speaker 5: com and just get a price. Talk to them, see
- 42:05Speaker 5: what they can do your project. They are the best
- 42:08Speaker 5: around Go tommy dot com com.
- 42:15Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves. It's off the
- 42:17Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn, all the shine off.
- 42:46Speaker 3: All right, welcome back again O TV.
- 42:52Speaker 4: There was a rumor out there yesterday that potentially the
- 42:57Speaker 4: Bengals could make a play for Jamis Winston, who's on
- 43:01Speaker 4: the Giants roster, maybe make a trade with Joe Burrow
- 43:04Speaker 4: being out for three.
- 43:05Speaker 3: Months, and maybe that still happens.
- 43:07Speaker 4: But the Bingles have made a couple of quarterback moves
- 43:12Speaker 4: and none of them are Jamis ah. The Bengals are
- 43:15Speaker 4: sign former Packers quarterback Sean Clifford and veteran quarterback Mike White.
- 43:22Speaker 3: To their practice squad.
- 43:25Speaker 4: So I think Mike White was with Buffalo in this preseason,
- 43:28Speaker 4: if I'm not mistaken. He's had some starts with Miami
- 43:31Speaker 4: and maybe some other teams as well. Sean Clifford of course, Uh.
- 43:35Speaker 4: Penn State quarterback from a couple of years ago. So
- 43:39Speaker 4: Sean Clifford Mike White to the practice squad.
- 43:42Speaker 5: No, Jamis, Wow, that's disappointing. You know, it's always the
- 43:50Speaker 5: cool storylines, the cool things you want to happen.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Never do.
- 43:54Speaker 5: I think I tweeted bout it last night or extit
- 43:56Speaker 5: last night, whatever you call it.
- 44:00Speaker 6: We saw it, say I still call it twitter. Mike White,
- 44:04Speaker 6: by the way, has a very soft look to him.
- 44:08Speaker 7: He got a ball with the Jets for at the Dolphin.
- 44:15Speaker 7: It's it's a disappointed but not surprising. Like if you're
- 44:18Speaker 7: trading for a guy, you probably want him to come
- 44:20Speaker 7: in and start, like Jake Browning is going to be
- 44:22Speaker 7: their starter. He actually played okay last Sunber went down
- 44:26Speaker 7: with an injuries.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Like I kind of get it, but it's not fun.
- 44:29Speaker 2: It's not fun, But like it just makes sense.
- 44:32Speaker 5: We want, we need, we need Jamis Winston back in
- 44:36Speaker 5: the spotlight. Yeah, football fans, we got to have audio
- 44:40Speaker 5: of him everything. I mean, can you imagine the audio
- 44:44Speaker 5: coming from the Bengals. Did Jamar Chase T Higgins disaster
- 44:50Speaker 5: of an organization, but you got Jamis That'd at least
- 44:54Speaker 5: be exciting. Put fans in the stands, Ask in the seats.
- 44:58Speaker 4: Nick Underhill knew all stuff football when we come back
- 45:01Speaker 4: off the bench. All right, I know we've been talking
- 45:07Speaker 4: about our friends over at Campus Federal Credit Union last
