- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jack Wars fans welcome in to Dove All Daily Prisoner by Jinjag.com.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Alluga, thanks so much for being here Saturday, October 4th.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: And we're getting ready for Jackson Chiefs.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: We are absolutely doing that here.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little bit of a gloomy morning here in Jacksonville, and it's supposed to be a bit of a rainy weekend, but it's not putting my spirits down.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: No doubt about it.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Wars and Chiefs were getting into matchups to watch here, matchups that can help define this game, and there's matchups all over the place from the coaching ranks to the.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: personnel on field that can have a big impact.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm excited to talk about this game.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like this is one of those games where it's really exciting to preview.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of like last week.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: Now the 49ers had some injuries.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: Jax ended up having some injuries as well.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar is obviously have one big injury situation heading into
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: week five here, Trayvon Walker, Trayvon Walker, and his club versus the Kansas City Chiefs, potentially, potentially, don't know if that's gonna happen or not yet.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: So that's just kind of on the back burner, thinking about it, but we don't know exactly how it's all gonna play out.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars do have practice today.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yesterday was like their Thursday, so they had a pretty big practice yesterday, and then today's a little bit lighter, and I'm not gonna be able to go down there today,
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: a lot of the good media members will be down there and having some great coverage for also make sure to follow everybody who does a great job covering the jag wars too many to name right now but y'all know most of them I'm sure so matchups to watch
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: I have a long list, so buckle up.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all being here.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: So Nick Bolton, Drew Tranquil, Leo Chanel, the Kansas City Chiefs linebackers.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: Not only their linebackers, but also their third level defenders against the run, against Travis ET and against Basil Tutan and the Jaguar's offensive lineman, getting to the second and third level at times, Britain's strange as well.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar's wide receiver is taking on some DBs in the run blocking department.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think if the Jack Wars can get Travis ETN go in the way he's gotten going and just about every game this year, they're going to win.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_00]: I really do believe that.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think that if they can maintain possessions, pick up some explosives and one thing that I do hear people kind of saying is like, oh, well, it's just explosive runs for Travis ETN.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: That is not the case.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: His success rate is really strong right now, stronger than it's ever been.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and yes, the long runs have absolutely helped the explosive runs have absolutely helped.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: But if you look at his average, take away the 71 yard run in week one, take away the 48 yard or last week.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: His average is still really, really good.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: He is running well.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: The Jack Wars offensive line and running schemes, whether it's outside zone, mid zone, some gap power stuff up front.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: regardless of what they're running against most teams it's working really well.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think Liam Cohen's coaching, Sarah's coaching, the offensive line coach, just the way that
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: And Jason was talking about this the other day on Club Jaguar, the way that Liam Cohen tests all of your coverage rules and defensive rules is just very challenging.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: And so you're so worried about defending the past against this team because of some of the speed and all that that they bring to the table and Trevor Lawrence, Brian Thomas Jr.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: Naomi Brown, hopefully he's back.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: but you look at all these different factors in the way that Liam Cohen shifts people around the formation moves people.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: It just puts so much strain on the defense.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: And then you also have offensive linemen executing at a high level.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: A running back executing at a high level who is explosive is all get out.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: He gets loaded to the ground.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: He has great bandias, some wiggle.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: He can break arm tackles and really not break stride.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: Leave you in the dust and space.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Travis C. T. N. is operating a really high level.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have Basle 2, and he's just, he's a really good back as well.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: Lee Clinton Allen, I'm excited about that.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: And that, the reason it's my number one matchup is because I think if the Jaguars run the ball, they're going to win the game.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: And the Chiefs have not been very good at stopping the run.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: This year.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: Leo Chanel is a good tackle or Drew Tranquil is a good tackle.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: Normally Nick Bolton is as well.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's been missing some tackles this year.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's been a little up and down.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the Jaguars need to run the ball.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: I really do.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: They've been one of the best running teams in football.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: The Chiefs have been one of the worst run defenses in football.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's gonna help you win this football game.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: Um, into your offensive line and offensive line in general versus Chris Jones.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yeah, that's a big one.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's a big match up to watch.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: Chris Jones and both the past rush and run defense department can be a absolute problem.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: Robert Hainesy, I'm excited to see him as part of the calculus in this matchup.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: Because he quite simply is playing better at the center position.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: And we've seen anybody play at the center position in Jacksonville,
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: He is playing that well.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, his communication, run blocking past pro, he's smart, he's a decently explosive athlete and kind of tight quarters, you know, Cleveland and McCary are both dealing with injuries, but they gotta be on their stuff.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: Anton played against Chris Jones his rookie year and that was kind of a welcome to the NFL moment that was rough, but, you know, Anton's got in a lot better since then.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to move him around.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: They really are.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar has got to be ready.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: Really the whole offensive line has to be ready for this matchup and Chris Jones is the biggest problem.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think you have to double him and that's not like.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: unique, doubling, interior, defensive lineman is something that happens every single game, every single week.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: So that's not really a big issue in my opinion, like how you handle him, it's just like, can you handle him, right?
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: Can you win when you double team?
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: And certainly, you don't want to give him any one-on-ones.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to try to create those.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: But you've also got George Carlaptis, who's a really good,
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: balanced edge.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: I love the way he plays the game.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: They got some young guys.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: Omar Norman Lot's starting to come on a little bit here and there is a past Russia.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: Jerry Tilleries made some plays.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: Although, I mean, he's not like a major concern to me, but he can make plays if you allow him to.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Ashens a lot.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's coming along a little bit.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: Charles and many of you up and down a little bit.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: But it's really to me, if you can slow down Chris Jones and not let him wreck the game,
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: You're probably going to be in good shape.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: George Carl afters to an extent, but again, Chris Jones has wrecked many games against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: If you can not let that happen, and I think it's more about the Jaguars than it is about the chiefs like what the Jaguars want to do.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: They've been talking about that a lot, but on the other side of the ball,
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: Xavier Worley is back.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: I would guess Tyson Campbell versus Xavier Worley is a matchup that the chiefs would like to attack down the field.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: Tyson Campbell, we can pull it up, but he's had a good year other than every game.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: There's like one play where he gets beat down the field.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: He was in good position to make a play against Ricky Pearsal, but Ricky Pearsal made the play and he didn't.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of something you see often.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: Week one against Teterome, McMillan, Tyson Campbell made that play down the field.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: But since then, you know, again, Cincinnati, Teahagans had a 42 yarder on him.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's burned them off the line.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: Against Houston, Nico Collins got him on a double move,
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Last week, 31-yard or Turrickey Pierce saw, your number one corner cannot be allowing a 30-plus yard completion every single week.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: And again, other than that, I do think Tyson's playing pretty well.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: But, say, other than that, to a 42-yard touchdown, a 50-yard touchdown, and a 31-yard completion.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: can't have it.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: And now you have Xavier Worley, who he can test the Jaguar as horizontally and vertically with his speed, he's become a much better player.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: The offense is much more well-rounded with him out there.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: He's not the only speeds, so you've got Taekwant Thornton.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: You've got Hollywood Brown, but he's the one that worries you the most with his skill set.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: I would be trying to attack that.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I don't think that against the Jaguar zone defense that you're going to see a lot of that one-on-one, but every, I mean, the Jaguar is running about 15% cover-one, man coverage.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: And so you're going to see it at times.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: And when Patrick Mahomes is able to identify that,
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's a problem.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: And Xavier Worley, he's not a outside receiver exclusively.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: He did have a line, I think, like almost 30% in the slot last week.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: I would have him more outside this week because I think that's a better matchup.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: If you can get him light up against Tyson Campbell, I think that's a better matchup.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not trying to dog Tyson at all.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: Again, he's played very well overall.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's been targeted 30 times, only allowed 16 catches.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: That's really good, but some of those catches have been big once.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: And he's also a physical player.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe his physicality could disrupt Xavier Worley before he's able to build up that speed.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's something to keep an eye on.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: Tyson has speed himself and length.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's a good matchup.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: But if I was the chiefs, I would want to try to get Worley behind Tyson Campbell in this game.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that you want to really attack Jordan Lewis all that much, I think if you're attacking the safeties, they're making plays, if you're attacking the second level line backers, they're making plays.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: I think if Travis Hunters out there a lot of cornerback which we just don't know how he's going to be deployed week to week.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's a guy who I wouldn't really want to be attacking all that much.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: Well, down the field.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to attack him on short and in-breaking routes, I think you can try to do that, but then you run into potential issues thrown over the middle of the field against the Jaguars.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: Another offensive weapon for the Chiefs, Brashard Smith, the rookie running back.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's gotten involved in the passing game.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: They needed juice in the backfield.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, Pacheco just hasn't quite gotten back from his injury still.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: And now it's been a long time since that injury, but he still just isn't quite that player he was before.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, Karim Hunt is a short yardage back.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: And they use him a lot more than,
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: You would think for a typical short-red edge back, but that's basically what he is.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: Brishard Smith brings a lot of speed, a lot of explosiveness.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: And you saw what the Christian McAfron was able to do in the passing game.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: If I was the chiefs, that's another thing I would be trying to poke and prod and see if I can get Brishard Smith going out of the back field as a receiver, test the Jaguar's linebackers, test the coverage rules of the defense with the running back that has explosiveness, I think that's smart, smart football.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: Looking at Jaguar's defensive front, chiefs offensive line, I'm excited to see if Trayman Walker can't go, even if he can, I don't think he would play like a full-alotment, as he normally does, plays like almost every down.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: The one smooth versus John Taylor.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: These guys, they were teammates for quite a while in Jacksonville, and they practiced against each other a lot.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: And so, to one smooth versus one Taylor would be a lot of fun.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, everybody knows Joann Taylor is for his fall starts and penalties and all that stuff.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: But when he's not committing penalties, Joann Taylor is still a pretty good player.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: And to one smooth is also still a pretty good player.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think it took him a couple of years to get back to where he is now.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, after the Achilles, he's playing good football for the jacks, making plays.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: And that's just a fun homecoming for Joann Taylor.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: against some guys he knows.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you might see Josh Hines Allen versus Joann Taylor.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: You'll definitely see a lot of Josh Hines Allen versus Joshua Simmons, and that's a fun matchup.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_00]: Really, a matchup the Jaguars should be able to take advantage of because as talented physically and and skill-wise as Josh Simmons is, he is a rookie, he has had some issues, he's not a good matchup right now against Josh Hines Allen.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they're probably going to need to give him help.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing about it is the guy who's playing right next to him, Kingsley Suamata Iya is playing guard in the NFL for the first time this year, and I don't think he's playing all that consistently either.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: Both of those guys have highs, but they also have a lot of lows, inconsistencies.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jag wars should be able to attack the left side of that offensive line.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: And if the chiefs aren't ready for that,
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: That could spell problems.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: It could.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think Anthony Camponele is really smart defensive coordinator.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to be testing those guys a lot.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I expect a lot of movement as well up front.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: Getting back to the Jack Wars on offense, Brian Thomas, Jr.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_00]: versus Jalen or Noel Williams, excuse me, Noel Williams.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why they're not using him more right now.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, don't this guy's been unbelievable the last couple games and he's not playing a full lot of snap.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: He played 19 reps against the Giants and then 20 against the Ravens.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's been learning.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's been targeted eight times a lot of two receptions.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: He has picked up a couple penalties, playing physical.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's a physical, young rookie out of cow.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's big, he's strong.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: He plays the game the right way.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: If I was them, I would have him on the field a lot more.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: I absolutely would.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: I really, I can't tell you why he's not on the field more, but I would be putting no Williams on Brian Thomas Jr.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: having Trent McDuffy try to take away Diami or Travis or whoever else.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I would do probably.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: But we'll see what the Chiefs do.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: Again, they're not playing no Williams as much as I would.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: I know he's a rookie, but he's one of your best players on defense already it looks like.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: Kim Little versus the Upright's a little bit.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's supposed to be a bit windy 10 to 20 mile per hour winds, and of course the forecast can change, right?
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's Florida.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: We all know that, but Little versus the Upright's, it could also be a wet game.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: It could be a wet field.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: If that's the case, I'm gonna be interesting.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think that would probably favor the Jaguars a little bit just because they're, I think, a tougher, and I know it's crazy to say.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're a tougher team.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: But little verse, I mean, the Jaguars are running the ball really well.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: They're stopping the run really well.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: The chiefs are not running the ball.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: The chiefs are not stopping the run.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: So beyond that, you just see the Jaguars stepping up to the physicality played every single week.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_00]: But Kim Little verses the uprights.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: Verses the wind.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's missed a kick in two straight games.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's got to get right if you start having a streak where you miss kicks in three consecutive games.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think that could really get to you mentally.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: And you don't want to see that.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: Um, Jaguar's offense versus alignment, you know, pre-snap alignment, getting it all together.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: This is a complex offense.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of moving parts.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: You've seen that lead to penalties.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar's need to button it up, pre-snap, hopefully playing at home should be helpful in that regard, but it's going to be a big moment.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: Bright lights, one-and-a-night football.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: don't get in your head, just play your game and do your job, pre-snap every time, and obviously post-snap as well.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jaguars receivers against the football, they're still, even though last week they did better.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: I still think maybe Parker could have come down with that.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: Throw that Trevor made that was super aggressive late in the game, Brian Thomas.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: Junior obviously should have come down with that you've seen so many plays here, through the first four weeks where you think that receivers should come down with the football and they don't.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like, come on, let's go.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like, let's go.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all are too talented to be putting the football on the ground, the way you have been.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in just not making plays that you should.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: And then Trevor Lawrence first spags.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence and Liam Cohen together versus spags.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence, even though he has not beaten the chiefs, he's played some damn good football against the chiefs if you go back, 22 they played the chiefs twice.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_00]: Thought he played well in both of those games.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: but he played winning football in both of those games.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: In 2023, he played pretty damn well against the chiefs.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: Different offensive systems, so now it's for Liam Cohen and Trevor Lawrence using this offensive system and using what Trevor Lawrence does well to have another winning performance against the chiefs.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't won that game yet, but he is played winning football against the chiefs, including the divisional round of the playoffs in Arrowhead.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: He played winning football, there was some really unfortunate circumstances around him in that game, fumbles, defense not being able to cover Travis Kelsey, which I guess we should bring up, you know, Taylor just dropped her album.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: Travis got some major shout outs on that one.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_00]: Good for him.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you got always be aware of Travis Kelsey and shout out Trevor Lawrence.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's his birthday tomorrow or not tomorrow.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: Monday.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: You can be playing on his birthday Monday night football.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's exciting stuff.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: That's it for matchups to watch.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: We'll have bold predictions as well tomorrow and then Monday.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: We'll have some coverage.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not used to having a
- 19:14[SPEAKER_00]: Monday where we have to get ready for the game.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's just not been something we've done much over around here.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll definitely have some coverage on Monday as well.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate you all being here if you enjoy the content.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: Please like and subscribe.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
