- 0:06Speaker 1: the host of Hot Ones. He's gone on to be
- 0:09Speaker 1: quite possibly people's favorite interviewer on the Internet. Yes, so
- 0:13Speaker 1: clever and so creatively thought. You can tell that he
- 0:16Speaker 1: puts a lot of time and effort into those questions. Well,
- 0:19Speaker 1: he got to smooch Keky Palmer, who he admitted was
- 0:23Speaker 1: a crush of his on a separate interview.
- 0:25Speaker 2: And it was her idea for the smooch. He had
- 0:29Speaker 2: mentioned that he had a crush on her, and she
- 0:31Speaker 2: went on hot Ones and said, Hey, I have an idea,
- 0:34Speaker 2: why don't we smooch?
- 0:36Speaker 3: And he got to kiss her.
- 0:37Speaker 4: That's right.
- 0:38Speaker 1: So, of course the Internet you have people loving this there.
- 0:41Speaker 1: What are they called shipping? Yes, yes, yes, And then
- 0:44Speaker 1: you have a ton of tweets that are like this
- 0:47Speaker 1: and they are hilarious. Oh look at me. I'm Sean Evans.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I'm rich. I get to eat wings and kiss Keky Palmer.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Oh I'm Sean Evans.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I get to eat chicken wings every week and talk
- 1:01Speaker 2: to the coolest people ever and kiss Kiky Palmer.
- 1:06Speaker 3: And then of course they end with an exploitation.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll call it forget you yeah, Angie. What I
- 1:14Speaker 1: want to do is in inspiration of these tweets after
- 1:18Speaker 1: being inspired by this.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Okay, I just wanted to let you know something this morning.
- 1:23Speaker 4: What okay. Oh look, I'm Angie Morales.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I get to wake up full of radiant energy and
- 1:32Speaker 1: take over every room I walk in.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Oh I'm Angie.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I get to enjoy a really cool job that's a
- 1:38Speaker 1: ton of fun, and you literally make people laugh every
- 1:41Speaker 1: single day of the week and they adore me for it.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Oh I'm Angie. You have two wonderful children, and when
- 1:48Speaker 1: you walk in the studio every day, you talk about
- 1:50Speaker 1: how awesome Mikey is.
- 1:53Speaker 4: I'm Angie. Man forget you.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Okay, I could do. I've got one for you. Oh look,
- 2:03Speaker 3: I'm Gabe. I'm kind and funny. Oh I'm Gabe. I
- 2:07Speaker 3: look hot in a backwards hat.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I'm hard working, talented, and reliable with a smoking hot wife.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Oh I'm Gabe.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I'm attractive and witty in a non threatening way that
- 2:18Speaker 2: makes you feel like you want to spend more time
- 2:20Speaker 2: with me, as opposed to being jealous. Oh I'm Gabe.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Look at me.
- 2:25Speaker 2: My voice electrifies the airwaves with warmth and charm.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Forget you, Gabe. Gabe.
- 2:37Speaker 2: My little victory, I think is actually my boyfriend, Mikey's
- 2:41Speaker 2: little victory. But I'm very excited for him, and it's
- 2:45Speaker 2: that he for the first time in our household because
- 2:48Speaker 2: he's only lived with us, with me and the boys
- 2:51Speaker 2: for gosh, maybe like a couple months now, not even.
- 2:56Speaker 2: And for the first time in history, he got to
- 3:00Speaker 2: choose the movie we watched last night.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Oh wow, what genmmed up searching for Bobby Fisher.
- 3:06Speaker 4: If you don't know what that is, it's a chess movie.
- 3:08Speaker 3: But no, that's so funny. He is a chess fan.
- 3:11Speaker 3: You know that about him. You guys are so cute.
- 3:14Speaker 2: No, he chose Eleo on Disney Plus, which is it
- 3:19Speaker 2: came out this year? Leo. It was a Disney Pixar movie,
- 3:23Speaker 2: but I feel like it kind of flew under the radar.
- 3:24Speaker 2: But it's about a kid who's trying to make contact
- 3:27Speaker 2: with aliens, and Mikey very notoriously like he's obsessed with
- 3:33Speaker 2: outer space and NASA because he's a real nerd and
- 3:36Speaker 2: he's so cute.
- 3:36Speaker 4: And he has that big telescope.
- 3:38Speaker 2: That's true, he does have a big telescope. He did
- 3:43Speaker 2: you I didn't take it anywhere. I'm talking what I know.
- 3:47Speaker 2: That is also what I'm talking about. So anyway, we
- 3:50Speaker 2: watched Leo and it was it was cute.
- 3:53Speaker 3: I cried.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I always cry movies, and it was a good time.
- 3:57Speaker 2: So the little victory is Mikey's, but I'm happy to
- 4:01Speaker 2: relate it.
- 4:01Speaker 4: That's so funny because my little victory is yours.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Oh really, my little victory today was what Laura said
- 4:07Speaker 1: to you yesterday on Facebook. Angie is the best. She
- 4:10Speaker 1: makes me laugh every day when listening on the radio,
- 4:13Speaker 1: which was awesome to see. It's always great to see,
- 4:17Speaker 1: you know, a good friend of yours and your partner
- 4:19Speaker 1: in crime get a little love and people I don't
- 4:22Speaker 1: know just expressing how much fun you are. I get
- 4:25Speaker 1: to experience that every day, and it was kind of
- 4:27Speaker 1: fun to see someone else say that for you. So
- 4:29Speaker 1: it's always good to watch your you know, your good
- 4:31Speaker 1: friend get a little victory.
- 4:32Speaker 3: This is so sweet. You're so kind, honestly, and thank you, Laura.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Those are super kind words.
- 4:38Speaker 2: We sit in here in this studio and we're talking
- 4:41Speaker 2: and technically like we know that this is being broadcast
- 4:46Speaker 2: to the FM area, but you never know exactly who's
- 4:49Speaker 2: listening or what impact you're making, or if anybody is
- 4:52Speaker 2: having a good time. And so when anyone reaches out
- 4:55Speaker 2: to say something sweet like that, it means a lot.
- 4:57Speaker 3: So thank you, Laura, and thank you Gabe.
- 5:00Speaker 4: And I also share with you my one be little victory.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Yeah, as Angie said, she was gonna butter these crackers
- 5:06Speaker 1: for us for breakfast later and they are fire. I'm
- 5:09Speaker 1: looking forward to that. Well, it sounds like mister Bill
- 5:21Speaker 1: Clinton wishes he had Charlie Sheen's girl at one point
- 5:26Speaker 1: in the Charlie Sheen documentary, which you actually have watched
- 5:30Speaker 1: and kind of taken in a little bit of Yeah,
- 5:33Speaker 1: it has come to light in an interview with Charlie
- 5:35Speaker 1: Sheen that at one point he was talking to this
- 5:38Speaker 1: girl and Bill Clinton, slick Willie is what I call him.
- 5:42Speaker 4: He came in.
- 5:43Speaker 1: He came in for the kill shot apparently. And I
- 5:47Speaker 1: was curious, have you ever been in a situation like
- 5:50Speaker 1: that where you you know, you're at a bar, you're
- 5:53Speaker 1: talking to someone, you go to the bathroom, you go
- 5:55Speaker 1: get some popcorn or whatever, and a friend of yours
- 6:00Speaker 1: whoops on in to basically live off the foundation you
- 6:04Speaker 1: built seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight
- 6:07Speaker 1: seven We're off.
- 6:08Speaker 3: The foundation you built well is hilarious.
- 6:12Speaker 1: You've put in all the work, you've made, all the
- 6:14Speaker 1: jokes you've done, all you've done, all this work.
- 6:18Speaker 5: You know.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It's funny is that my ex he used to work
- 6:21Speaker 2: at a restaurant and every once in a while we'd
- 6:24Speaker 2: all hang out, like me, him and the coworkers or whatever.
- 6:28Speaker 3: And one of his co workers.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Actually said to me about this song Jesse's Girl that
- 6:35Speaker 2: they play in the restaurant sometimes, and anytime he hears it,
- 6:38Speaker 2: he would think of me because he wished he had
- 6:41Speaker 2: my ex'es girl, which is me. That's insane, that's insane.
- 6:47Speaker 3: So I think it was very much.
- 6:49Speaker 2: We are co workers, and that's it.
- 6:51Speaker 3: It was very wild.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I obviously didn't do anything with that information except feel
- 6:55Speaker 2: weird that it puts.
- 6:58Speaker 4: You in a weird spot, you know. I'm sure that
- 6:59Speaker 4: was a nightmare.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Yeah, No, I didn't like it.
- 7:01Speaker 2: You've never My guess is that you haven't swooped in
- 7:04Speaker 2: on anyone.
- 7:06Speaker 4: No, not that, not purposefully, okay.
- 7:09Speaker 2: And that's the caveat no purpose, well, not like a
- 7:12Speaker 2: friend maybe, So I don't know.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I don't care about that, Joel blow down the street,
- 7:18Speaker 1: all right, half the my own mission here. All right, Carrie,
- 7:21Speaker 1: has your friend ever hit on someone that you were,
- 7:25Speaker 1: you know, trying to chat up a little bit?
- 7:27Speaker 5: Yes, back in college, my friend it's thought she was
- 7:30Speaker 5: being flicked. She texted my boyfriend memes at two am
- 7:33Speaker 5: and called it just being funny. I brushed it off
- 7:36Speaker 5: until one night she flat out asked him if he
- 7:38Speaker 5: was really happy with me.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Oh, that is bold.
- 7:43Speaker 1: This happens a lot more nowadays on the phone than
- 7:46Speaker 1: in person. Oh, you know, one hundred percent. The memes,
- 7:51Speaker 1: the funny, jokey memes that you know someone is sending
- 7:55Speaker 1: back and forth to someone in a relationship.
- 7:56Speaker 4: You're not sending them because you're just curious how the're day.
- 7:59Speaker 2: There's always a meme, and that's a shoot your shot
- 8:01Speaker 2: mean one hundred depending on the reaction they're like.
- 8:04Speaker 4: So you're saying, there's a chance, exactly, Marcus, what about you?
- 8:07Speaker 2: I was talking with this woman at a bar and
- 8:10Speaker 2: I started to feel a little drunk.
- 8:12Speaker 5: I stepped away from her to throw up, and he
- 8:14Speaker 5: slipped in and.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Got her number.
- 8:16Speaker 5: By the time I got back, they were practically married.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Ay, I gotta be honest, though, I gotta be honest.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I mean, you threw up, dude, You're probably out of
- 8:24Speaker 1: the running anybody. At that point, all is fair and
- 8:27Speaker 1: loving drinking.
- 8:32Speaker 2: In a world of rules and gray areas, One radio
- 8:36Speaker 2: station dares to ask the hard question, is it legal?
- 8:42Speaker 4: Did you know?
- 8:44Speaker 1: If you are out at Unhinged tonight and the music
- 8:46Speaker 1: begins to flow through your body, you'll have to take
- 8:50Speaker 1: your hat off before you start to boogie, and you
- 8:53Speaker 1: might have been breaking the law last weekend.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Wait what, you can't wear a hat while you boogie?
- 9:00Speaker 1: This crazy, outdated law might seem insane, which it is,
- 9:06Speaker 1: But technically it is illegal to dance with a hat
- 9:10Speaker 1: on in some parts of North Dakota, according to only
- 9:13Speaker 1: in your state dot com.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Oh wow, this is the.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Perfect time to remind you, by the way, that myself,
- 9:18Speaker 1: nor ANGI or lawyers, you should always ask your lawyer
- 9:20Speaker 1: or local law enforcement for legal advice. So is it
- 9:25Speaker 1: legal to dance with a hat on in North Dakota?
- 9:28Speaker 4: Technically no? In some parts.
- 9:31Speaker 1: If you are wearing a hat at Unhings tonight and
- 9:33Speaker 1: you want to bust a move, technically you could be
- 9:38Speaker 1: breaking the law.
- 9:39Speaker 6: But I see a lot of law breakers up.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Jack Johnson is twenty one and Aiden Hoff is twenty
- 9:53Speaker 1: and there are two recent grads from Wapaton Breckinridge balancing
- 9:58Speaker 1: full time jobs while running their show, The Beyond the
- 10:02Speaker 1: Spotlight podcast. When Johnson isn't detailing vehicles and Hoff isn't
- 10:06Speaker 1: working on home remodeling designs, that two of the duo
- 10:09Speaker 1: are busy creating new episodes and they handle all the
- 10:12Speaker 1: shooting and editing and merchandising themselves for WOOL. In just
- 10:17Speaker 1: a year, their podcast has expanded far beyond their hometowns.
- 10:23Speaker 1: They've recorded from Wheatfield's Lakes Country, Nashville, Chicago, and even
- 10:28Speaker 1: brought in Wday into the studio for an interview. This summer,
- 10:34Speaker 1: they gave their project a new purpose after Johnson's grandmother
- 10:38Speaker 1: passed away from leukemia.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Here's what they had to say.
- 10:41Speaker 6: It's been like a dream come true, honestly, and we're
- 10:44Speaker 6: just getting started. My grandmother just passed away from leukemia.
- 10:47Speaker 6: So we decided to do something different, podcasting an exotic,
- 10:51Speaker 6: wild and attention grabbing places to raise awareness.
- 10:53Speaker 4: And money for the Leukemia and Themfoma Society.
- 10:56Speaker 1: As you hear to honor her, they launched a special
- 10:58Speaker 1: series called pod Casting and Exotic Places to Cure Cancer.
- 11:03Speaker 1: These two broadcasts from attention grabbing spots like the Wapaton
- 11:07Speaker 1: Skyscraper and Island and with a race car driver named
- 11:12Speaker 1: Donnie shatz All to raise awareness and support for the
- 11:15Speaker 1: Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. And you gotta highlight when young people, well, anybody,
- 11:20Speaker 1: but when young people go out and do something pretty
- 11:23Speaker 1: darn cool. I've never heard of anything like that. And yeah,
- 11:26Speaker 1: these two have gone out and done it. And I
- 11:27Speaker 1: just love that story so much as I do too.
- 11:31Speaker 2: And they're young, like I love young people taking the
- 11:34Speaker 2: initiative to change the world.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Youth full of energy and full of love. You gotta
- 11:39Speaker 1: appreciate that the world is full of nice people. If
- 11:41Speaker 1: you can't find one, you gotta be one.
