- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to kp I AM six forty the Bill
- 0:03Speaker 1: Handles show on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:12Speaker 2: And now Handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:17Speaker 2: Bill Handle.
- 0:26Speaker 3: And good morning.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Here.
- 0:29Speaker 3: We are already Monday.
- 0:30Speaker 4: June fifteenth, and we're almost halfway through the year. My goodness,
- 0:35Speaker 4: doesn't that you know? It just seems that yesterday was
- 0:39Speaker 4: June fourteenth. I have to tell you we are zipping
- 0:43Speaker 4: through this year, and the old the older we get,
- 0:47Speaker 4: the quicker it goes.
- 0:49Speaker 3: It makes sense. You know.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Someone ascribed it to me, and I've read this before
- 0:53Speaker 4: that the reason it seems to be going so much
- 0:55Speaker 4: quicker is a.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Year as a percentage of our life.
- 0:58Speaker 4: So we're ten years old and we're off for you know,
- 1:01Speaker 4: a year is ten percent of our entire life.
- 1:04Speaker 3: You know, it's enormous.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Remember when you're on vacation, summer vacation, three months, it
- 1:08Speaker 4: seemed like forever. Well, not so much anymore. Okay, hello,
- 1:13Speaker 4: well we're almost back to the eighteen. As soon as
- 1:17Speaker 4: head Bail's out of here and Amy comes back, shots fired.
- 1:20Speaker 4: Oh my god, Oh we've just started heading as usual.
- 1:25Speaker 3: So Neil is back.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Welcome out, he Neil is back from his bariatric surgery.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yeah, barely active surgery.
- 1:32Speaker 4: And you said, yeah you had it what two weeks ago?
- 1:35Speaker 2: Right, No, one week ago?
- 1:37Speaker 3: One week ago? And how much have you lost in
- 1:39Speaker 3: one week?
- 1:41Speaker 2: About twenty five packs?
- 1:43Speaker 4: That is? Yeah, I mean there's you know what it is, Bill,
- 1:48Speaker 4: Will is shocked what I take the stairs.
- 1:51Speaker 5: You know, I portion control and spend tens of thousands
- 1:55Speaker 5: of dollars to have my guts tied in and out.
- 1:57Speaker 2: So there's those things. And yeah, Golden.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Twenty five pounds in one week, so will twenty five
- 2:07Speaker 4: pounds in one week? Yeah, the devil, it's possible. It is, well,
- 2:13Speaker 4: look to Neil, it is possible. So Neil, you came
- 2:17Speaker 4: in at what too, fifty?
- 2:18Speaker 5: Neil two fifty five, and I'm now like two thirty.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Okay, So Neil, in ten weeks the twenty five pounds
- 2:26Speaker 4: a week will weigh five pounds.
- 2:30Speaker 5: It's right now. It's a give or take. It's about
- 2:32Speaker 5: two pounds a day. Yeah, yeah, you lose weight like crazy.
- 2:37Speaker 3: All right, and welcome back, Thank you so much, sir.
- 2:40Speaker 4: There you go, And Will Will, you haven't lost any
- 2:44Speaker 4: weight since I said hello?
- 2:46Speaker 2: Probably not.
- 2:46Speaker 4: In fact, Michelle Qube just brought in a lovely assortment
- 2:49Speaker 4: of croissants. Oh there we go to the day. Hi Heather,
- 2:53Speaker 4: you're here this entire week. Yes, good morning, good morning.
- 2:57Speaker 4: And Amy comes back and kno, kno, who is fit
- 3:01Speaker 4: and trim?
- 3:04Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 3:05Speaker 6: Got a haircut and a beard trim?
- 3:07Speaker 3: How can you? I can see the beard trim?
- 3:08Speaker 1: How can you till?
- 3:09Speaker 4: I got a haircut? Where is a baseball cap? Whoa, yeah,
- 3:14Speaker 4: you got your haircut.
- 3:15Speaker 2: It's like a magnet. Somebody rubbed it. York. Welcome back, buddy.
- 3:25Speaker 4: All right, so we obviously we have a lot of
- 3:28Speaker 4: news over the weekend. Some extraordinary things happened. Yesterday. The
- 3:33Speaker 4: President wanted to make absolutely sure that the announcement of
- 3:38Speaker 4: the not quite almost kind of sort of maybe piece
- 3:42Speaker 4: deal came down on his birthday, and it was it's
- 3:47Speaker 4: just it doesn't stop, that's all.
- 3:49Speaker 5: You know.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I didn't put those together.
- 3:51Speaker 6: I did immediately. I was like the time, you.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Are better than me.
- 3:55Speaker 5: I did not put it together until I read some
- 3:58Speaker 5: story said something about his persistence about that date, and
- 4:04Speaker 5: then I went, oh my god, I'm stupid.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Yeah, just what happened.
- 4:07Speaker 4: As a matter of fact, let's do it just handle
- 4:09Speaker 4: on the news with Heather Neil and me lead story.
- 4:13Speaker 3: And that is the case.
- 4:15Speaker 4: US and Ron have reached their deal, and their deal
- 4:19Speaker 4: is to basically be exactly where we were before the
- 4:24Speaker 4: war started. Okay, how is that for huge success? And
- 4:31Speaker 4: over the next sixty days there will be negotiations going
- 4:34Speaker 4: on in terms of the sanctions against Iran, the US
- 4:39Speaker 4: has over the world has at this point, the straight
- 4:44Speaker 4: hard moves is going to open up just like it
- 4:47Speaker 4: did before. International Waterway free international Waterway, So that goes
- 4:51Speaker 4: back to normal.
- 4:52Speaker 3: And we've got the.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Nuclear enrichment program to be talked about, the sanctions to
- 4:59Speaker 4: be taught about, the state the state support of terrorism
- 5:04Speaker 4: to be talked about, UH and the unfreezing of uranias
- 5:09Speaker 4: assets the United States. I think it's twenty something billion
- 5:12Speaker 4: dollars to be talked about.
- 5:14Speaker 3: So that's our deal.
- 5:16Speaker 5: Hey, I want to you know, I don't want to
- 5:18Speaker 5: be the first one to throw logs in your TDS fire.
- 5:21Speaker 5: But didn't we already had this, didn't Obama already have
- 5:26Speaker 5: an agreement that yep?
- 5:28Speaker 2: Then that we got.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Out of because Trump said it was the worst deal
- 5:32Speaker 4: the United States has ever had.
- 5:33Speaker 3: He's pulling US out.
- 5:35Speaker 4: And so now after thirty five billion dollars and three
- 5:39Speaker 4: months of war, we're back to the Obama deal was
- 5:43Speaker 4: lost and yeah, yeah, pretty lives lost. Yeah, and it's
- 5:47Speaker 4: pretty much the same, right, it's.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Exactly the same.
- 5:52Speaker 4: And what And I really enjoyed the President's statement, I
- 5:55Speaker 4: have authorized the opening of the Strait of horror moves.
- 5:58Speaker 4: What do you do you think the Iranians had anything
- 6:02Speaker 4: to do with it? Now, this is going to be
- 6:04Speaker 4: declared a victory. As you can imagine, Trump is going
- 6:07Speaker 4: to declare this a victory, as the Iranians are going
- 6:09Speaker 4: to declare this a victory. And so a couple of
- 6:14Speaker 4: things are going on here at this point. I say
- 6:17Speaker 4: Iranian has won at this point based on the fact
- 6:21Speaker 4: that prior to the war, the Strait of Hormuz was
- 6:25Speaker 4: an international free waterway that no one controlled.
- 6:29Speaker 2: It is And.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Now you and Linda are looking for a villa in Iran.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Yes we are.
- 6:36Speaker 4: And now Iran has gotten the idea that it can
- 6:42Speaker 4: stop ships going in whenever it possibly wants. We are
- 6:48Speaker 4: sure to for it wasn't a big deal right now
- 6:53Speaker 4: it's a huge deal. So I can't wait to see
- 6:56Speaker 4: what the White House says about this, about how we've won,
- 6:59Speaker 4: how the president have prevailed, and by the way, the
- 7:01Speaker 4: president might prevail over the next sixty days. But Iranians
- 7:05Speaker 4: are bastards when it comes to negotiating. No one is
- 7:09Speaker 4: tougher than Iran. The deal with Obama took a couple
- 7:13Speaker 4: of years to put together. So what do you think
- 7:16Speaker 4: is gonna happen over the next sixty days. Not a lot,
- 7:21Speaker 4: not a lot. So so far, so far, nothing so far.
- 7:27Speaker 3: There's no burger there. It's a nothing burger.
- 7:32Speaker 7: Oil prices dropped after President Trump announced that agreement had
- 7:36Speaker 7: been reached with Iran yesterday. Oil settled below ninety dollars
- 7:42Speaker 7: a barrel on Friday for the first time since the
- 7:44Speaker 7: first week of the war. But it has a long
- 7:46Speaker 7: way to go to get back under seventy dollars, where
- 7:48Speaker 7: it was before the US and Israel launched their attacks
- 7:51Speaker 7: on Iran in late February.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Yeah, so oil prices are down considerably, and that's not
- 7:56Speaker 4: a shocker. Gas prices you are not going to see
- 8:00Speaker 4: going down a lot and very quickly, because gas prices
- 8:05Speaker 4: do not necessarily follow oil prices. There is a difference,
- 8:10Speaker 4: and you're still going to see I believe prices for
- 8:13Speaker 4: goods inflation going up because the fertilizer that was stopped
- 8:17Speaker 4: for what three months?
- 8:20Speaker 3: It is.
- 8:22Speaker 4: It's good news, and at the same time it's not
- 8:24Speaker 4: as good of news as we wanted.
- 8:27Speaker 5: I love when the gas prices go up immediately when
- 8:30Speaker 5: something happens and then takes forever to come back down.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Oh well, it just you.
- 8:35Speaker 7: Know, and then they never go back down to where
- 8:38Speaker 7: they were before. They're always still slightly elevated and then
- 8:42Speaker 7: slightly elevated.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Well they can drop, no, they can drop, but it's
- 8:45Speaker 4: just it just we look at it and going up. Yeah,
- 8:48Speaker 4: it takes a long time. And then there are times
- 8:50Speaker 4: the problem is right now we still need gas. We're
- 8:55Speaker 4: going into our summer season of driving. People are still
- 8:59Speaker 4: driving like maniacs. It has not stopped. It's not going
- 9:04Speaker 4: to stop summer vacation driving.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Well, Route sixty six.
- 9:09Speaker 7: Didn't it just have its anniversary celebration, Yeah.
- 9:12Speaker 2: One hundred years all right.
- 9:15Speaker 5: Trump a big deal, big doings with the Kennedy Center,
- 9:19Speaker 5: if you remember putting his name up there, and well
- 9:24Speaker 5: it's coming down. So court ruling says has got to
- 9:26Speaker 5: come down. The funny thing to me is that onlookers people,
- 9:34Speaker 5: I guess wanted to rub it in his face by
- 9:36Speaker 5: standing there and watch the actual process of his name
- 9:39Speaker 5: being removed. But I think they put this tarp up
- 9:41Speaker 5: of some times they did to keep them and people
- 9:44Speaker 5: were trying to peek behind it. But it looks like, uh,
- 9:48Speaker 5: it looks like it's it's gone. It's the tar is
- 9:52Speaker 5: still up.
- 9:53Speaker 2: It is not.
- 9:54Speaker 5: You know what he's going to start referring to is
- 9:57Speaker 5: the former Trump Kennedy so.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Well, the lawsuit that has been filed saying that the
- 10:05Speaker 4: court got it all wrong. It was the Kennedy day
- 10:08Speaker 4: Kennedy name that was supposed to be removed.
- 10:12Speaker 2: No, you did it wrong.
- 10:17Speaker 6: All right.
- 10:17Speaker 7: Mitch McConnell was sent to the hospital yesterday. He's reportedly
- 10:22Speaker 7: receiving excellent care. His team is not saying what he
- 10:26Speaker 7: was hospitalized for. But he is eighty four years old
- 10:29Speaker 7: and has faced a series of health issues in recent years,
- 10:31Speaker 7: including several falls and missteps and also very publicly freezing
- 10:37Speaker 7: in the middle of speaking on several occasions.
- 10:41Speaker 3: And he is an old eighty four.
- 10:44Speaker 5: I was about to say he is a well weathered
- 10:48Speaker 5: eighty four.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Think about it.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Eight looks President.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Trump is eighty, and he is a very young eighty.
- 10:56Speaker 4: I mean, you can't argue about his vile vality, viviality, vitality,
- 11:03Speaker 4: vitel out, yes, his ability to jump around.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Well, he has to stay in shape. He's gonna run again.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I didn't. Yeah right, de Niro was
- 11:14Speaker 3: like his eighty and who else is eighty? I think
- 11:21Speaker 3: Mick Jagger's close to eighty.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Oh yeah, and Mick Jagger, I mean I saw him
- 11:25Speaker 4: a couple of years ago. If you took a video
- 11:30Speaker 4: of Mick Jagger from fifty years ago and you put
- 11:34Speaker 4: it next to a live performance of his, you could
- 11:37Speaker 4: not tell the difference other than wrinkles on his face.
- 11:40Speaker 3: That's it.
- 11:42Speaker 6: Dolly Parton is the same age as Trump. She looks great.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Wow.
- 11:46Speaker 6: So A Shaer and Sylvester Stalone.
- 11:48Speaker 5: Yeah, this story I saw yesterday at heartbreaking. You've got
- 11:56Speaker 5: Nara Organic Organics recalling its whole milk baby formula after
- 12:02Speaker 5: a California child two others were sickened because of potentially
- 12:08Speaker 5: fatal infant bauchlism.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Yeah, but no one died. No one died, so the
- 12:14Speaker 4: two kids got ill. Batulism is not fun. But I
- 12:18Speaker 4: think they grabbed it early enough.
- 12:21Speaker 5: Just I mean, can you imagine your you know, tiny
- 12:24Speaker 5: little babies being sickened by this?
- 12:28Speaker 2: It's just.
- 12:30Speaker 3: So.
- 12:31Speaker 7: A group of Iranian Americans say they're going to be
- 12:34Speaker 7: protesting at the World Cup today against for the match
- 12:39Speaker 7: between New Zealand and Iran at Sofi Stadium, and they're
- 12:45Speaker 7: doing it because they believe that Iran should not be here,
- 12:49Speaker 7: it should not be in the United States playing. Naser
- 12:53Speaker 7: Sheriff is the president of the California Society for Democracy.
- 12:57Speaker 7: He says that the football Federal Islamic Republic of Iran
- 13:01Speaker 7: is controlled by the Aslamic Revolutionary Guard.
- 13:05Speaker 4: And yeah, that's gonna work, isn't it? FIFA of the
- 13:09Speaker 4: United States, Englewood or Sofi?
- 13:12Speaker 2: Uh?
- 13:12Speaker 3: Is there another game of SOFI today?
- 13:15Speaker 4: I think that's the only one that And and how
- 13:17Speaker 4: many games are you going to be? And is uh
- 13:20Speaker 4: not Andre there? No, she's not, well she is, but
- 13:24Speaker 4: she's talking to something. Bill's talking to Ann and I'm
- 13:28Speaker 4: trying to do that. Sokay, How I think this is
- 13:31Speaker 4: the only game today at SOFI? Yeah, US and Paraguay
- 13:36Speaker 4: the first one out for one that it is us.
- 13:41Speaker 3: This may be the best US team.
- 13:42Speaker 6: Did you watch You said you were going to, did you.
- 13:44Speaker 4: I watched the you know what, I watched part of it,
- 13:46Speaker 4: but it's soccer is so boring.
- 13:50Speaker 3: I mean it is.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Come on, give me a break, guy, Football football footballs
- 13:56Speaker 4: never made you watch for Uh no, he doesn't miss it.
- 14:00Speaker 4: He does not miss doesn't miss football. He does used
- 14:03Speaker 4: to play. Oh yeah, yeah, he played. And he has
- 14:07Speaker 4: one of those channels where every game in the world
- 14:11Speaker 4: he can see on multi screen. So I have no idea.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Oh here's the story.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Oh my goodness, and seeing the video yesterday, this story's insane.
- 14:21Speaker 5: So there's this twenty one year old woman and she's
- 14:25Speaker 5: in Brazil with her fiance and she goes to bungee
- 14:29Speaker 5: jump and the staff you know, kind of pick her
- 14:32Speaker 5: up and they launch her over the edge, but they
- 14:35Speaker 5: didn't attach her safety rope, actual bungee cord, and so
- 14:41Speaker 5: the video shows them doing it and then you start
- 14:45Speaker 5: hearing them. It's one hundred and thirty foot drop, by.
- 14:49Speaker 4: The way, Yeah, so it's not very high, but it's
- 14:50Speaker 4: still you know, hitting the ground at one hundred and
- 14:53Speaker 4: thirty feet without anything to stop you is still very unpleasant.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Teen stories, dude, Yeah, I know it's unpleasant, you know,
- 14:59Speaker 4: sm summers, but her did you say, when the whole thing?
- 15:04Speaker 4: And did you see the rope that was curled around
- 15:08Speaker 4: on the deck and it had not been attached to her?
- 15:12Speaker 3: It was it looked like a garden hose.
- 15:14Speaker 5: It was, why are you smiling? That's the weirdest GD
- 15:18Speaker 5: thing I've ever seen.
- 15:19Speaker 3: No, it's pretty bad.
- 15:20Speaker 4: And you could hear a very loud whoops as she
- 15:26Speaker 4: was launched.
- 15:26Speaker 5: It was so you heard a lot of people saying
- 15:28Speaker 5: the rope, the rope, and then it pans down, but just.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Horrific, so horrific.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Yeah, they've been charged, I think already.
- 15:38Speaker 7: Big weekend for basketball fans, especially if you're a Knicks fan.
- 15:42Speaker 7: The NBA Championship Finals were this weekend and the Knicks
- 15:46Speaker 7: came out on top, winning their first NBA championship in
- 15:49Speaker 7: more than fifty years. Celebration got a little wild in
- 15:52Speaker 7: New York, as it does and honestly, probably as it should.
- 15:57Speaker 7: There were damaged police cars, people got a little while,
- 16:00Speaker 7: there was a damage property. Sixty three people arrested, four stabbings.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Which wells York.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Yeah, that's how you celebrate, you torch buses and trash
- 16:10Speaker 4: cans and you beat people.
- 16:12Speaker 6: Up's a couple of people.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Yeah, everybody running around. I mean it was hysterical, jumping
- 16:18Speaker 4: up and down. Our team has won. My team has won.
- 16:22Speaker 4: My team.
- 16:23Speaker 3: You know it's not your team. You pay to see
- 16:26Speaker 3: those games? Do you guys get it?
- 16:28Speaker 2: You didn't play one?
- 16:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not your team. Okay.
- 16:32Speaker 5: Uh.
- 16:34Speaker 4: The Bus family, for example, owns the Lakers. Okay, it
- 16:37Speaker 4: is not your team. It is their team.
- 16:39Speaker 6: They don't own the Lakers anymore, though, do they.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 16:43Speaker 7: Listen if Rodgic Johnson owns the Dodgers, what if I
- 16:46Speaker 7: buy a T shirt and a hat, I own the team.
- 16:50Speaker 3: No, you owned a T shirt and a hat.
- 16:51Speaker 6: I'm celebrating my team.
- 16:54Speaker 4: It's not your team. It is not your team. Okay, fine, agree,
- 17:00Speaker 4: our team has won.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Crap? All right, Oh this goes down. I'm sorry.
- 17:06Speaker 5: Washington Post as the stupidest story I have ever read.
- 17:10Speaker 5: So you've got the renovations of the reflecting pool in Washington, DC.
- 17:17Speaker 5: President Donald Trump, I know, is boisterous. I know he's
- 17:19Speaker 5: loud and obnoxious, but he's talking about the beautiful clean
- 17:23Speaker 5: water under his predecessors. It was terrible discussing garbage. I
- 17:27Speaker 5: get it. He's poking the bear everybody. But the fact
- 17:31Speaker 5: that they are going out there looking and finding little
- 17:34Speaker 5: bits of algae now and reporting on it is the
- 17:38Speaker 5: crazy little bit thing.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Yeah, how little bits because the algae I don't see
- 17:43Speaker 4: as against people. I don't know the size of those
- 17:46Speaker 4: algae blooms, any idea.
- 17:48Speaker 5: So the Trump they said that there were little pockets
- 17:55Speaker 5: of it. Apparently now the Trump officials came out and said,
- 17:59Speaker 5: what you're seeing residual algae from the supply lines.
- 18:03Speaker 2: It's good.
- 18:04Speaker 5: You know, it's been dormant for eight weeks, and as
- 18:07Speaker 5: it goes out, they're gonna be cleaning it and cleaning
- 18:09Speaker 5: up that algae. So they're removing that. But it just
- 18:12Speaker 5: is like everybody, listen, there are plenty of big things,
- 18:15Speaker 5: man that you can point out. The algae not newsworthy.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Unless it's a huge bloom.
- 18:22Speaker 2: You're a huge bloom.
- 18:23Speaker 4: I am a huge bloom. And that is you used
- 18:26Speaker 4: to be a huge bloom. But you're really moving down bloom.
- 18:29Speaker 4: You are d blooming.
- 18:31Speaker 6: Now you're a tee flower. You're a tea flower, all right.
- 18:38Speaker 7: LA homeowners who live near Sofi Stadium now renamed LA
- 18:42Speaker 7: stadium for the World Cup. Are making a little bit
- 18:45Speaker 7: of extra money on parking because parking reservation platforms near
- 18:51Speaker 7: the LA Stadium are charging about three hundred dollars on
- 18:54Speaker 7: match days, but homeowners nearby are letting people park in
- 18:58Speaker 7: their private driveways and spots for about fifty to eighty
- 19:00Speaker 7: bucks a piece, making little money.
- 19:03Speaker 2: They do that during the USC.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Yeah, they do that all those games.
- 19:07Speaker 4: You know what, Lakers to get that VIP parking at
- 19:10Speaker 4: the Lakers games. Do you know that it's two hundred
- 19:13Speaker 4: dollars a game, crazy for parking and people pay it.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Oh, that's a money grab. That's ridiculous.
- 19:22Speaker 5: A horrible plane crash twelve occupants in Missouri and they
- 19:27Speaker 5: were playing the passengers on there planning this big sky
- 19:30Speaker 5: diving day and twelve of them on board and it
- 19:35Speaker 5: crashed in very small towns, a small town of Butler,
- 19:39Speaker 5: population forty three hundred sixty five miles south of Kansas City.
- 19:45Speaker 5: And emergency responders they extinguished the fire shortly after the crash.
- 19:50Speaker 5: All of that, they said, the scene was absolutely brutal.
- 19:53Speaker 4: And this was right after takeoff and the plane went
- 19:57Speaker 4: in and if you did you see the video of
- 20:00Speaker 4: the plane it's right next to a road where I
- 20:03Speaker 4: believe the pilot was.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Trying to land on.
- 20:06Speaker 4: I mean it's just feet from a road that was open,
- 20:10Speaker 4: and it's right adjacent to the airport. I mean, they're
- 20:13Speaker 4: trying to figure out what happened, but whatever it is
- 20:16Speaker 4: is obviously a horrific story. Also, I have a question
- 20:20Speaker 4: regarding these plane crashes and bush crashes and car crashes.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Is the NTSB is investigating you hear that at every
- 20:29Speaker 4: single one of these crashes at the end of it,
- 20:31Speaker 4: and the NTSB is investigating. How many NTSB investigators do
- 20:37Speaker 4: they have? I mean it's crash after crash after crash.
- 20:44Speaker 2: How many crashes a day?
- 20:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I know they're crashes constantly. I mean we just
- 20:49Speaker 4: get in the news just a tiny percentage. And so
- 20:53Speaker 4: I always wonder.
- 20:54Speaker 7: Five there's about forty five NTSB investigators four hundred employees total,
- 21:00Speaker 7: and about forty five that are dedicated field investigators for
- 21:04Speaker 7: crash and how.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Many crashes are there?
- 21:07Speaker 4: I don't know if you can get that money, maybe
- 21:08Speaker 4: Claude or chat GP can help you. How many investigative
- 21:13Speaker 4: crashes occur in the United States every year?
- 21:18Speaker 6: I'm going to say nine thousand but that may.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Happen, Yeah, for forty five people. I don't know how
- 21:23Speaker 4: it is. I'll tell you it has to be in
- 21:25Speaker 4: the thousands.
- 21:27Speaker 7: Just to put a quick button on the previous story
- 21:28Speaker 7: that we talked about, there are twelve hundred civilian aircraft
- 21:31Speaker 7: accidents in the US each year, with forty five investigators.
- 21:35Speaker 7: The majority of those are on private planes, and that
- 21:39Speaker 7: accounts for ninety five percent of all fatal aviation accidents.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Okay, forty five to investigate one hundred, yeah, yeah, all right.
- 21:49Speaker 7: So Spencer Pratt is calling this a suspicious coincidence because
- 21:54Speaker 7: there was a fire that happened at his campaign office
- 21:59Speaker 7: in the Palisades. Even though arson investigators are investigating, there's
- 22:04Speaker 7: been no proof of any foul play, and the building
- 22:06Speaker 7: owner says that they doesn't believe there was anything nefarious
- 22:10Speaker 7: going on.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to do with Spencer Pratt's story coming
- 22:13Speaker 4: up at eight thirty relative not only do the Palisades
- 22:18Speaker 4: fire and what happened to him, but his quest for
- 22:21Speaker 4: the mayoral race.
- 22:22Speaker 3: And that's interesting stuff, all.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Right, Tyra Banks.
- 22:28Speaker 5: It's filed a defamation lawsuit against Netflix and the directors
- 22:31Speaker 5: of this docu series, Reality Check Bump Bump inside America's
- 22:36Speaker 5: Next Top Model. But she's alleging that the producers totally
- 22:41Speaker 5: stripped down her three and a half hour interview that
- 22:44Speaker 5: she did into sixteen minutes, and part of these she says,
- 22:48Speaker 5: it's manipulation to support this, you know, this false narrative
- 22:52Speaker 5: and all of this. And she says that she actually
- 22:55Speaker 5: took accountabilities for certain things and that all ended up
- 22:59Speaker 5: on the cutting floor. So she's going after it. And
- 23:01Speaker 5: of course she is the one who created I think,
- 23:05Speaker 5: the series and the show and all that stuff originally.
- 23:08Speaker 7: And oddly enough has been accused of what she is
- 23:11Speaker 7: claiming that they did to her too many many models
- 23:14Speaker 7: over the years.
- 23:15Speaker 2: Yeah, cutting down things and making them.
- 23:17Speaker 7: Look changing the narrative and napping California beach gourds swept
- 23:22Speaker 7: out to see here a woman was killed and another
- 23:25Speaker 7: in critical condition after they were sleeping on the beach
- 23:27Speaker 7: and dangerous currents came up and swept them away. This
- 23:30Speaker 7: happened in Santa Cruz County. There's course a big king tides,
- 23:34Speaker 7: lots of swells and warnings to stay safe on the
- 23:38Speaker 7: beaches right now.
- 23:39Speaker 2: So just napping on the beach and a wave, well.
- 23:41Speaker 4: They were near this place where what do they call it?
- 23:46Speaker 4: It's a keyhole key hole being water comes up. It's
- 23:49Speaker 4: like a geyser.
- 23:50Speaker 6: Thing in Yellow Bank Beach.
- 23:51Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's just you don't want to be here
- 23:53Speaker 4: or there. Just it was a freak It was a
- 23:57Speaker 4: freak wave that came and grabbed them. But I was
- 24:00Speaker 4: still I mean, you're going to get anywhere near that,
- 24:02Speaker 4: probably not. This is why I don't go to the beach,
- 24:05Speaker 4: by the way. I refuse to go because you'll die
- 24:09Speaker 4: at the beach. You know that, don't you. It'll kill you.
- 24:11Speaker 4: That's all. You go to the beach and you're dead.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Also a quick question about the beach, or a quick
- 24:16Speaker 4: word about the beach. You know, if you really want sand,
- 24:20Speaker 4: you know, up your butt crack, which happens at the beach.
- 24:23Speaker 4: Why wouldn't you just go to the car hardware store
- 24:25Speaker 4: and pick up some sandpaper and do the same thing.
- 24:28Speaker 4: You stay dry, you don't worry about it. You don't
- 24:31Speaker 4: die and rip tides.
- 24:33Speaker 6: Yeah, with the hot tips.
- 24:38Speaker 3: There you go.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Oh.
- 24:39Speaker 5: Last story of the morning. Jean Shallatt, if you remember him,
- 24:42Speaker 5: the big curly hair. They said he looked like a
- 24:45Speaker 5: muppet in his mustache and the way he talked, and
- 24:48Speaker 5: you remember he would use puns.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Oh, he was wonderful. He was wonderful. Everybody loved him.
- 24:55Speaker 2: He's dead now, and.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Yeah at one hundred. He died at one hundred. That
- 24:58Speaker 4: is the life well lived. You cannot argue about someone
- 25:02Speaker 4: dying at one hundred.
- 25:03Speaker 7: You just have this scritics like him anymore either like
- 25:06Speaker 7: now than entertaining and memorable.
- 25:08Speaker 6: You know.
- 25:10Speaker 4: Yeah, Okay, we're done, guys.
- 25:14Speaker 3: That's it coming up.
- 25:16Speaker 4: As you can imagine, the big, huge news, the US
- 25:19Speaker 4: and Iran have reached the deal to end the fighting
- 25:23Speaker 4: and to open up the strait of horror moves.
- 25:26Speaker 3: And obviously I've got a lot of things to say about.
- 25:28Speaker 4: That and a reality check because in reality, it is
- 25:32Speaker 4: nothing burderer other than people dying. That's not going to happen,
- 25:36Speaker 4: thank goodness. And so I'll come up with that and
- 25:39Speaker 4: we'll cover that as well as a whole bunch of
- 25:41Speaker 4: other things.
- 25:42Speaker 3: This Monday morning.
- 25:43Speaker 4: This is KFI AM six point forty.

- 25:49Speaker 1: show Monday through Friday six am to nine am, and
