  When anger meets grace, anger can rise fast.
• 0:15
  Sometimes it shows up before we even realize what is happening.
• 0:20
  A disrespectful comment, unfair treatment, betrayal,
• 0:23
  frustration, or being misunderstood can light
• 0:26
  something inside us almost instantly.
• 0:29
  Proverbs chapter 14 verses 16 to 17 says one who is wise is
• 0:34
  cautious and turns away from evil.
• 0:36
  But a fool is hot headed and reckless.
• 0:39
  A quick tempered man acts foolishly.
• 0:42
  That is not because anger itself makes you evil, but because
• 0:45
  unguarded anger can quickly take control and lead you somewhere
• 0:49
  damaging. Then Isaiah 53 verse 7 gives us
• 0:53
  one of the clearest pictures of Jesus.
• 0:55
  He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not his
• 0:58
  mouth. And Mark chapter 15 shows him
• 1:01
  enduring the cross, mocked and rejected, yet still walking in
• 1:06
  surrender to the Father. Jesus had every right to respond
• 1:10
  in wrath, yet He chose grace. He absorbed injustice without
• 1:14
  becoming sinful in response to it.
• 1:16
  That is powerful because it shows us what real strength
• 1:19
  looks like. The world often treats
• 1:22
  self-control like weakness, as if the strongest person is the
• 1:26
  loudest one or the one who can hit back the hardest.
• 1:30
  But Jesus shows that strength is not losing yourself in the
• 1:33
  moment. Strength is staying rooted in
• 1:35
  truth, love, and obedience even when you have been wounded.
• 1:40
  This does not mean you ignore wrong things or pretend hurt
• 1:43
  does not matter. Grace is not pretending
• 1:45
  everything is OK. It is choosing to let God shape
• 1:49
  your response instead of letting anger rule your heart.
• 1:53
  You can be honest about pain without becoming reckless with
• 1:56
  your words. You can address what is wrong
• 1:59
  without surrendering your peace. If there is anger sitting in
• 2:02
  your heart today, bring it to Jesus.
• 2:05
  Let Him meet you there. Ask Him to show you what is
• 2:07
  underneath it. Hurt, fear, pride,
• 2:10
  disappointment. He can heal what your anger has
• 2:13
  been trying to protect, and He can teach you to respond with
• 2:15
  wisdom, courage, and grace. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, thank you for showing me real strength through
• 2:22
  Jesus. When anger rises in me, help me
• 2:25
  pause and surrender it to You. Guard my words, my reactions,
• 2:29
  and my heart from recklessness. Teach me to respond with wisdom
• 2:33
  and grace, not pride or bitterness.

  Heal the places in me that are hurting and help my life reflect
• 2:39
  the patience and love of Christ in Jesus name, Amen.

  For he perceived that for envy the chief priests had delivered

  him up. But the chief priests stirred up

  the multitude that he should release Barabbas to them

  then should I do to him whom you call the King of the Jews?

  They cried out again. Crucify him, Pillate said to

  them, Why, what evil has he done?

  But they cried out exceedingly. Crucify him.

  Pillate, wishing to please the multitude, released Barabbas to

  them and handed over Jesus. When he had flogged him to be

  crucified, the soldiers led him away within the court which is

  the Praetorium, and they called together the whole cohort.

  They clothed him with purple, and weaving a crown of thorns,

  they put it on him. They began to salute him.

  Hail King of the Jews. They struck his head with a Reed

  and spat on Him, and bowing their knees, did homage to Him.

  When they had mocked Him, they took the purple cloak off him

  which says He was counted with transgressors.

  Those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads and

  saying, Ha, you who destroy the temple and build it in three

  days, save yourself and come down from the cross.

  Likewise also the chief priests, mocking among themselves with

  the scribes, said He saved others, he can't save himself.

  Let the Christ the King of Israel now come down from the

  cross, that we may see and believe Him.

  Those who were crucified with him also insulted Him.

  When the 6th hour had come, there was darkness over the

  whole land until the 9th hour. At the 9th hour, Jesus cried
