- 3:13Speaker 2: but go ahead and tell them about that's what they
- 3:15Speaker 2: can do to win.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Yeah. So we're going to be drawing it on Halloween Day,
- 3:19Speaker 3: so October thirty first today at six pm ish because
- 3:23Speaker 3: we're doing a live at that time on Instagram.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Yeah, specific standard time, yes, PST.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Sorry. So all you have to do is you have
- 3:30Speaker 3: to submit a photo. So on Facebook, you submit in
- 3:34Speaker 3: the comments. On Instagram, you do a story and you
- 3:36Speaker 3: take us of your carved pumpkin. Easy. Easy, And I'm
- 3:41Speaker 3: when I posted about it, I was like, this is
- 3:43Speaker 3: a lot easier than the last give away with it.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it is. So if you do that, it's not
- 3:48Speaker 2: a skill based thing. As soon as you submit the photo,
- 3:51Speaker 2: you're automatically in a draw and you can win yourself
- 3:53Speaker 2: at big old fuzzy fuffy fuffy, full fluffy blanket with

- 4:00Speaker 2: cool So yeah, yeah, go ahead and enter that, go
- 4:03Speaker 2: follow our socials and join in and you could win.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Yeah. And then one other thing we just wanted to note,
- 4:10Speaker 3: because we put a whole week of awesomeness out and
- 4:14Speaker 3: we're going to let you all get kind of caught
- 4:16Speaker 3: up on that. There won't be an episode on November first,
- 4:18Speaker 3: on Tuesday, correct, so, but there will be one the
- 4:22Speaker 3: following Tuesday.
- 4:23Speaker 2: There we go.
- 4:24Speaker 3: So just so you all are in the know.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Yeah, So it might take some of those people out
- 4:28Speaker 2: there who are a little bit behind a whole week
- 4:31Speaker 2: even to catch up on Halloween week. So we're going
- 4:33Speaker 2: to give that due time to catch up, and us,
- 4:36Speaker 2: honestly due time to catch up as well, because we
- 4:38Speaker 2: do work full time jobs and this Halloween week was
- 4:41Speaker 2: a lot of work. So that one little extra day
- 4:43Speaker 2: for us will make a big difference. Yeah yeah, yeah, Okay,
- 4:48Speaker 2: should we get right into it.
- 4:50Speaker 3: I think So this is the last day we made it.
- 4:53Speaker 3: It's this is this is a celebration, Yeah.
- 4:55Speaker 2: The end of the second annual Halloween weeks. It's here,
- 5:00Speaker 2: this is it. It's all come down to this store.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Oh, second annual. We've been around that long, right, it's
- 5:07Speaker 3: like yesterday that we.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Started, well, maybe the day before.
- 5:11Speaker 3: I keep okay, I'm wearing a risk guard. It keeps catching,
- 5:13Speaker 3: I'm taking it off, Okay, fair.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Enough, Okay. So we're going to be going back to
- 5:18Speaker 2: nineteen fifty seven, nice and this is the trick or
- 5:24Speaker 2: treat murder. Oh so it's very holloween oriented.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Yeah, look at you go.
- 5:31Speaker 2: So you ready for this?
- 5:32Speaker 3: I'm ready all right.
- 5:33Speaker 2: So in nineteen fifty seven in Los Angeles, Betty Fabiano
- 5:38Speaker 2: was just about finished evaluating her life choices. By then,
- 5:43Speaker 2: she was thirty five years old. She'd been married twice,
- 5:46Speaker 2: and she was currently living with her second husband, Peter Fabiano,
- 5:50Speaker 2: and her daughter, Judy Solomon. From the outside looking in,
- 5:54Speaker 2: Betty had it all. Her and Peter owned two successful
- 5:58Speaker 2: hair salons, and they had a beautiful house in the valley.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Her son, Richard Solomon was at the start of his
- 6:03Speaker 2: career in the navy, Judy was doing pretty well in school,
- 6:07Speaker 2: and Betty could pick and choose her own business hours nice.
- 6:10Speaker 3: So like living the life really.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Pretty much everyone's dream. You know, you've got like the
- 6:15Speaker 2: nice house, you got the nice family, your business owner,
- 6:18Speaker 2: you can pick your own hours and do what you want,
- 6:20Speaker 2: work when you want, how you want it. She's got
- 6:23Speaker 2: it made.
- 6:23Speaker 3: And it was California they live, right la. Yeah, yeah,
- 6:27Speaker 3: like dreams bought to live.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Yeah. So it was a nice work life balance pretty
- 6:32Speaker 2: much through and through love.
- 6:34Speaker 3: That so I hope to get there one day.
- 6:38Speaker 2: One day, one day. Yeah. No, she was being able
- 6:41Speaker 2: to like just decide when she was going to help
- 6:42Speaker 2: Peter her with the salons and when she devoted her
- 6:44Speaker 2: time at the household. Like it was. It was beautiful, perfect,
- 6:47Speaker 2: something to strive for. I can tell you that right now.
- 6:50Speaker 2: But as we all know, things aren't always what they seem.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Oh yes, that's very much so a thing.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah. So, as I alluded to, she already kind of
- 7:00Speaker 2: like second guessing her life choices. Right. So, Peter and
- 7:04Speaker 2: Betty ran into some difficulties in their marriage. Only small
- 7:08Speaker 2: fights broke out here and there, but they progressively grew
- 7:12Speaker 2: into more intense altercations. As far as I could tell,
- 7:16Speaker 2: nothing ever got physical, but I mean it was arguments.
- 7:18Speaker 2: It was abrasiveness within the marriage, right so, never a
- 7:22Speaker 2: good thing, not necessarily a sign of detriment by any means,
- 7:26Speaker 2: but not enjoyable.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Sometimes when people tell me they don't fight. I'm just like,
- 7:30Speaker 3: there's something wrong with that.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like, I mean, people are different. No matter
- 7:36Speaker 2: how well you get alone.
- 7:38Speaker 3: And you're living under the same roof, you're going to
- 7:40Speaker 3: have a disagreements every once in a while.
- 7:42Speaker 2: With rite life, it's like, do the fucking dishes for once,
- 7:45Speaker 2: they did five days in a row, like that sort
- 7:48Speaker 2: of shit.
- 7:48Speaker 3: You know, Yeah, that's actually happened.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, on more than one occasion.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Then it's actually the one that does the dishes more often.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yes, very much so, So maybe you should do some
- 7:58Speaker 2: fucking dishes once in a while.
- 8:00Speaker 3: Oh my god, kidding, Wow, you're gonna get rained on.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I was joking. Come on. Anyways, moving on, particularly Peter particularly,
- 8:12Speaker 2: things got a little bit more intense after Peter had
- 8:14Speaker 2: hired a new secretary for one of their salons. Now,
- 8:19Speaker 2: Joan Rabble was her name, and she had a colorful past.
- 8:23Speaker 2: She was born in Philadelphia in nineteen seventeen, but she
- 8:27Speaker 2: had traveled most of America by now, and she'd walked
- 8:30Speaker 2: through peter salon doors in of course, nineteen fifty seven
- 8:33Speaker 2: when this takes place. Now, she had been married and
- 8:36Speaker 2: divorced and was a successful photographer writer, and she liked
- 8:40Speaker 2: to get a lot of her inspiration for her tales
- 8:42Speaker 2: through her travels, and she had many exotic tales to
- 8:45Speaker 2: tell of her life when she came to the Fabiano's
- 8:48Speaker 2: shop for a job. Okay, Now, Peter liked Joan right
- 8:51Speaker 2: off the get go and what she had to say,
- 8:53Speaker 2: so we hired her almost on the spot, and of
- 8:56Speaker 2: course it wasn't long before he introduced her to Betty,
- 9:00Speaker 2: and it didn't take much time for Joan to become
- 9:03Speaker 2: the heart of the problem between Betty and Peter. But
- 9:07Speaker 2: probably not in the way that you're thinking. Okay, So
- 9:11Speaker 2: I just want to say this right now, whereabout is
- 9:13Speaker 2: your head at them? Where you think these problems lied.
- 9:17Speaker 3: I'm pretty basic that they had an affair of sorts,
- 9:21Speaker 3: or their flirt network or the wife. Who's the which
- 9:25Speaker 3: one's the wife? Sorry, Joan or Betty or Betty?
- 9:28Speaker 2: Peter and Betty are the married couple.
- 9:30Speaker 3: That Betty's just a little jealous of Joan. Maybe she's
- 9:33Speaker 3: a looker.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, you're half right, let's put it that way. Okay, yeah,
- 9:40Speaker 2: I'll touch you. I'll fill you in on here in
- 9:42Speaker 2: just one second. So I get Yes, you're there, but
- 9:46Speaker 2: you're there's a curve ball coming at the same time.
- 9:50Speaker 2: So Joan was with the couple quite a lot. She
- 9:52Speaker 2: worked with them at least one of them during the day,
- 9:56Speaker 2: sometimes both, and they often invited her over for dinner
- 9:59Speaker 2: in the evenings. So Joan got really close with them,
- 10:02Speaker 2: and when things got rocky between Peter and Betty, Betty
- 10:06Speaker 2: actually moved in with Joan.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Oh really, yeah, Oh dude, they have an affair.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And Joan made the moves on Betty. Okay, okay, so
- 10:17Speaker 2: you're right, but you're wrong with who. Yeah, yes, okay,
- 10:22Speaker 2: So actually we don't really know who made the first
- 10:24Speaker 2: moves per se, but newspapers at the time would later
- 10:27Speaker 2: describe Joan and Betty's relationship as quote abnormal whatever that meant.
- 10:32Speaker 2: But remember this is nineteen fifties, right, So now, when
- 10:35Speaker 2: Peter realized what was going on in their relationship behind
- 10:39Speaker 2: the scenes, he had a choice to make, and he
- 10:41Speaker 2: chose to make it clear that he wanted Betty back.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Okay, I like that.
- 10:46Speaker 2: So Betty took a hard, long look at her life
- 10:49Speaker 2: and she decided that what she wanted was Joan to
- 10:54Speaker 2: go back to her husband.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Oh Okay, she left Joan. Man, I'm not doing well
- 10:58Speaker 3: with my guessing right now, not really, I'm failing.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Maybe the next guest. I don't know if there's another
- 11:06Speaker 2: guest in here, I can't recall, but if there's another one,
- 11:08Speaker 2: we'll put you to the test.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:10Speaker 2: So we don't obviously know exactly what was going on
- 11:13Speaker 2: in everyone's mind at the time, but judging by what
- 11:15Speaker 2: Joan went on to do after Betty left her for Peter,
- 11:19Speaker 2: Joan was clearly heartbroken.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Okay, even if.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Things did go back to normal for a while, though
- 11:27Speaker 2: now Peter did make it very clear that Betty had
- 11:29Speaker 2: to cut all ties with Joan, she was no longer
- 11:32Speaker 2: working at the salon, and everyone seemed to move on
- 11:35Speaker 2: with their lives, at least for.
- 11:37Speaker 3: A while, rightfully. So really, oh definitely. I mean in
- 11:40Speaker 3: order for their marriage to work, I think that would have.
- 11:43Speaker 2: To be well, yeah, I think if anyone is having
- 11:46Speaker 2: an affair, yeah, and I think it's very understandable for
- 11:52Speaker 2: the party to who that's reconnecting to say, okay, we
- 11:55Speaker 2: need to set boundaries. There was an affair, that person
- 11:58Speaker 2: that you had an affair with to be excluded from
- 12:00Speaker 2: our relationship. For us to continue, that's totally understandable. And
- 12:04Speaker 2: first off, perrops to Peter for being able to actually.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Take it right now, for that's that is actually amazing.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Good on him. Yeah, so things were better between Peter
- 12:15Speaker 2: and Betty and Joan had moved on to someone else,
- 12:19Speaker 2: and that someone else was Goldene Piser. Goldean was a
- 12:23Speaker 2: forty two year old lab assistant who'd also been in
- 12:26Speaker 2: a failed marriage and was just beginning to understand and
- 12:29Speaker 2: explore her own sexuality when she met Joan. Now they'd
- 12:36Speaker 2: actually known each other for a few years before nineteen
- 12:38Speaker 2: fifty seven, but it was right after Betty left Joan
- 12:41Speaker 2: that Goldean and her became really good friends.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Ok.
- 12:45Speaker 2: And Goldean, in a later interview, used the words coffee
- 12:50Speaker 2: clatch to describe her friendship with Joan, And this apparently
- 12:54Speaker 2: comes from a German word called I'm going to try
- 12:56Speaker 2: and pronounce this. This is German, remember kafn klatches, which
- 13:01Speaker 2: means coffee and gossip.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, so well done.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Thank you. I probably butchered it, but I do not
- 13:09Speaker 2: speak German. If you can't tell, it's not my first, second, third,
- 13:12Speaker 2: or fourth language.
- 13:13Speaker 3: That was about a hundred times better than what I
- 13:16Speaker 3: would do, So props to you.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Well, I mean, prior to us turning on the microphones,
- 13:20Speaker 2: I was just singing Ramstein, so that might have warmed
- 13:24Speaker 2: me up.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. Yeah, our little pre show rituals or
- 13:28Speaker 3: sometimes something else.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Yeah, well, a lot of times you can catch those
- 13:31Speaker 2: pre show rituals in an actual pre show we post
- 13:33Speaker 2: on Patreon. So yeah, little little note.
- 13:36Speaker 3: You should do a video of it too. Half the
- 13:38Speaker 3: time one of us is wandering around dancing or trying
- 13:42Speaker 3: to get our like, I don't know what.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Is that called energy or mojo flowing?
- 13:47Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 13:47Speaker 2: Yeah, anyways, we digress. It was coffee and gossip that
- 13:51Speaker 2: she described it, Asky, So they would spend hours together,
- 13:54Speaker 2: either at a cafe or at each other's house, talking
- 13:57Speaker 2: over a cup of coffee and slowly but surely developing
- 14:01Speaker 2: the relationship. I'll just leave it with that now. Joan
- 14:04Speaker 2: started telling Goldeen everything that had happened between her and Betty.
- 14:09Speaker 2: According to her, all the blame for her failing relationship
- 14:13Speaker 2: was on one person and one person only, the quote
- 14:18Speaker 2: evil Peter Fabiano oh Man. So over the next three months,
- 14:23Speaker 2: Joan told Goldeen over and over and what a terrible man,
- 14:28Speaker 2: an awful husband. Peter Fabiano was Joan said that he
- 14:32Speaker 2: used and dealt in narcotics. She said that he mistreated
- 14:36Speaker 2: Betty and how she just wanted to get her old
- 14:39Speaker 2: friend Betty out of the horrible marriage and away from
- 14:42Speaker 2: that abusive man. So she painted him in an absolutely
- 14:46Speaker 2: horrible light. Yeah, did whatever she could to get Goldeen
- 14:50Speaker 2: onto her side.
- 14:52Speaker 3: But really, from like me, I mean, I don't know everything,
- 14:55Speaker 3: but just an outsider, he doesn't seem terrible.
- 14:58Speaker 2: No, definitely not. I mean there was some and there's
- 15:02Speaker 2: nothing confirmed, mind you, but there was some talk of
- 15:04Speaker 2: a potential minor abuse in the relationship. I don't think
- 15:08Speaker 2: it was physical. I do think it was a bit mental.
- 15:11Speaker 2: By this sounds of it verbal. Mental. Yeah, However, any
- 15:14Speaker 2: of that sort of stuff was reconciled as again as
- 15:17Speaker 2: far as I can tell, when they were getting back together. So,
- 15:21Speaker 2: I mean, everyone has their fault. That's probably what drove
- 15:24Speaker 2: them apart, and then coming back together they're resolving it, right, yeah.
- 15:29Speaker 3: I mean, but then also too, lots of times if
- 15:31Speaker 3: you're talking to a friend about a relationship, I mean
- 15:35Speaker 3: you're venting to them, right, and lots of times more
- 15:37Speaker 3: of the negative things come out than the positives too.
- 15:40Speaker 3: So true, she could not even know the full picture.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Yep. So regardless, though, her stories were more than enough
- 15:48Speaker 2: to convince Goldean to help her take care of him.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that sounds scary.
- 15:55Speaker 2: So on September twenty first, Goldean went to a shop
- 15:59Speaker 2: in Pasadena where she ordered a thirty eight millimeter miss
- 16:04Speaker 2: and Wesson pistol. Yes, she told the man behind the
- 16:07Speaker 2: counter that she wanted it for home protection and that
- 16:11Speaker 2: she only wanted two bullets for it. A few days later,
- 16:14Speaker 2: Joan dropped by Goldine's house in a car she had
- 16:17Speaker 2: borrowed from a friend. She gave Goldean the money for
- 16:20Speaker 2: the gun and then drove her back to Pasadena to
- 16:23Speaker 2: collect it. The two then made their way to Peter
- 16:27Speaker 2: and Betty's home in the valley, and they staked it out.
- 16:31Speaker 2: I'm picturing like classic, like parked in the side of
- 16:33Speaker 2: the upper side of the road, like you know, ducking
- 16:36Speaker 2: down in the dim light sort of thing. That's pretty
- 16:38Speaker 2: much what they did.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Yeah, all dressed in black kind of thing.
- 16:41Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah, I mean, I don't know for sure
- 16:44Speaker 2: that's how it played out, but that's pretty much the
- 16:46Speaker 2: sum of what they were doing, right, good visual driving
- 16:48Speaker 2: by and watching that sort of thing. Yeah, now knowing
- 16:52Speaker 2: what the horrible man Peter looked like, Golden waited until
- 16:56Speaker 2: the time was right to make her move, and that
- 16:59Speaker 2: time was Halloween night on nineteen fifty seven.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Oh. I feel like any incident that's scary like this
- 17:07Speaker 3: that happens on Hallo Halloween night just amplifies the scariness. Ey. Oh, definitely,
- 17:13Speaker 3: like it's terrifying one percent.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I mean, if Halloween's not scary enough for some people,
- 17:18Speaker 2: hearing something like this definitely would be.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:21Speaker 2: So Joan borrowed a friend's car again, and then she
- 17:24Speaker 2: headed over to Golden's house to pick her up. Now,
- 17:28Speaker 2: in Goldene's own words, she said this, Joan came over
- 17:32Speaker 2: to my house with some clothing, blue jeans, khaki jackets, hats, iemasks, makeup,
- 17:38Speaker 2: and red gloves. We dressed up, got in the car
- 17:41Speaker 2: and drove to Fabiano's home, arriving there about nine pm.
- 17:47Speaker 2: So strange outfits, more of a disguise of some sort
- 17:52Speaker 2: than really a costume. But they're just throwing on whatever
- 17:55Speaker 2: they had to look strange and kind of fit in
- 17:57Speaker 2: with Halloween.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Again, right, And my brain sorry, I'm like totally listen
- 18:00Speaker 3: to you, but I'm just like, this is so unnecessary.
- 18:03Speaker 2: It is. But also, remember the conversation we had the
- 18:06Speaker 2: other day about the urban legends also taking place, I
- 18:09Speaker 2: believe it in the fifties. Wasn't it the one Halloween
- 18:12Speaker 2: massacre that was proven to be false? Okay, yeah, how
- 18:16Speaker 2: people are making their own costumes and everything. That's exactly
- 18:18Speaker 2: what they're doing here.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Oh not necessarily a costumes though, the whole thing.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Oh, I know, I just wanted to point that out. Okay,
- 18:24Speaker 2: the costume part is falling in line with that.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Okay, I see, yeah, but yeah, I know, this.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Whole thing, trust me, definitely unnecessary. Anyways, so they dressed
- 18:32Speaker 2: up in their Halloween costumes. Golden and Joan waited outside,
- 18:37Speaker 2: sitting in the borrowed car until all the lights in
- 18:40Speaker 2: the Fabiano home went out and the streets went quiet.
- 18:44Speaker 2: It was then that Golding made her move. It was
- 18:48Speaker 2: just a little past eleven pm when Golding walked up
- 18:51Speaker 2: to the Fabiano's door and knocked. Sorry, I just wanted
- 18:57Speaker 2: to add that in there. No one answered, so she
- 19:02Speaker 2: waited a little bit and knocked again.
- 19:06Speaker 3: If that was me, I wouldn't fucking answer either, There's
- 19:08Speaker 3: no way in hell.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Well, this time, she could hear movement behind the door. Okay,
- 19:13Speaker 2: and it was Peter. He'd been in bed, laying going
- 19:18Speaker 2: to sleep with Betty when they both heard the first knock,
- 19:21Speaker 2: and he thought about leaving it, just like you're talking about.
- 19:24Speaker 2: But it was Halloween. He figured it was just some
- 19:26Speaker 2: late trick of treaters.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Oh okay, So with.
- 19:29Speaker 2: The second knock, he got out of bed, made his
- 19:32Speaker 2: way downstairs, picked up the bowl of candy, and headed
- 19:34Speaker 2: for the door. Oh no, He opened the door to
- 19:39Speaker 2: expect to see a trick of treat yep, and he
- 19:42Speaker 2: saw Goldeen in her costume, standing there with a brown
- 19:46Speaker 2: paper bag in her hand, and he asked her. It's
- 19:49Speaker 2: a little late for this, isn't it.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Now.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Counts differ on whether Golden actually answered him or not,
- 19:56Speaker 2: but some say she simply answered no, while others say
- 20:01Speaker 2: that she said something to him as he opened the door.
- 20:04Speaker 2: What we do know, though, is that Betty heard two
- 20:07Speaker 2: voices from upstairs in her bedroom.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:10Speaker 2: She later said that one of them sounded like a
- 20:12Speaker 2: man's voice and the other had sounded like a man
- 20:15Speaker 2: pretending to be a woman and then she heard a
- 20:17Speaker 2: loud pop.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Oh wow, so she's like two voices aside from her hubbies.
- 20:24Speaker 2: That was never clarified as far as I could tell.
- 20:28Speaker 3: Okay, because I need clarification. Sorry here, Joan is the
- 20:31Speaker 3: one that was with Betty, yes, but she's not even
- 20:36Speaker 3: the one at the door.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Joan is currently in the car on the side of
- 20:40Speaker 2: the road. Oh, Goldeane was in the car with Joan,
- 20:43Speaker 2: and now Goldeane went up to the door.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, that's not his thought. But then I also
- 20:47Speaker 3: was thinking, I just assumed it would have been Joan
- 20:50Speaker 3: going up to the door. So that's okay, she really
- 20:53Speaker 3: convinced this person, she did. Yeah.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Yeah. So anyways, when Peter had opened the door and
- 20:59Speaker 2: offered gold Dean some candy, Goldean had put both hands
- 21:02Speaker 2: inside the paper bag that she was holding and lifting
- 21:05Speaker 2: it up. Now, I'm sure he only assumed this was
- 21:08Speaker 2: going to be her trigg or treat bag, right, But
- 21:12Speaker 2: she instead pointed the bag directly at his chest, and
- 21:15Speaker 2: what he couldn't see was the gun that was inside.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Yep, brutal.
- 21:20Speaker 2: So Goldean pointed it at his chest and pulled the
- 21:24Speaker 2: trigger and the bullet hit Peter just below the heart
- 21:29Speaker 2: and he hit the ground.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Iikes, would Peter have known gold Dean then? No, okay,
- 21:34Speaker 3: this would have been a complete stranger to him.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Yeah. The month prior, on September twenty first, when Joan
- 21:39Speaker 2: drove by the house with Goldean, that was to show
- 21:42Speaker 2: Goldean who they were. And he's the evil man and
- 21:44Speaker 2: he's the one.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Oh, okay, okay, So they had never met.
- 21:47Speaker 2: It was just Goldiane staking out the house when she
- 21:50Speaker 2: learned who he was, right, yeah, And of course all
- 21:54Speaker 2: the talk and everything through Joan and the stories.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Right.
- 21:58Speaker 2: So after the loud quote pop, Golding took off, racing
- 22:03Speaker 2: back to the car and her and Joan quickly drove away.
- 22:07Speaker 2: But inside the house things were far from finished. Hearing
- 22:11Speaker 2: the sound of the gun going off and not knowing
- 22:13Speaker 2: what it was, both Betty and her daughter Judy came
- 22:16Speaker 2: rushing downstairs to find Peter laying on his back by
- 22:20Speaker 2: the front door, bleeding out.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Betty frantically tried to help him, and Judy ran to
- 22:26Speaker 2: one of the neighbor's houses for help. The neighbor was
- 22:30Speaker 2: Bud Alpert, a member of the lapd Okay, and Judy
- 22:34Speaker 2: knew that Bud wouldn't know what to do.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good neighbor to have, eh.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Definitely if any sort of authorities or your neighbor. I mean,
- 22:41Speaker 2: that's quick and easy access. It's glorious. However, it was
- 22:45Speaker 2: the middle of the night, Bud was sleeping, so it
- 22:47Speaker 2: took a few minutes of banging on his door to
- 22:49Speaker 2: wake him up. But once he answered the door and
- 22:51Speaker 2: realized what was going on, he jumped into action and
- 22:54Speaker 2: took over the scene. Okay, he called the ambulance, followed
- 22:57Speaker 2: by police officers, and Peter was quickly rushed to hospital.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Oh, I hope he lives.
- 23:04Speaker 2: We'll touch on that shortly. The only witnesses of the
- 23:07Speaker 2: murder other than Peter's family hearing the incident from inside
- 23:11Speaker 2: the house, was a fifteen year old boy who'd heard
- 23:14Speaker 2: the gunshot and seen the getaway cars speeding down the street.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Police were left with very few clues as they tried
- 23:21Speaker 2: to process this scene and figure out what was going on,
- 23:26Speaker 2: and unfortunately, Peter died in the hospital from severe blood loss.
- 23:33Speaker 3: I was thinking that because you did say the murder.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Yeah, So this left investigators with no one able to
- 23:40Speaker 2: identify the shooter.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Dang Wow. Okay, I was kind of thinking he'd lived,
- 23:46Speaker 3: to be honest. See here I am again like, gosh,
- 23:48Speaker 3: this whole story, I just can't predict whatsomever.
- 23:51Speaker 2: There was potential because it did miss his heart right,
- 23:54Speaker 2: so there was potential. But however, there was severe blood loss,
- 23:58Speaker 2: and it could have been that it was to an artery.
- 24:00Speaker 2: I couldn't find that. But I mean, he did bleed
- 24:03Speaker 2: out so well.
- 24:04Speaker 3: And then it does seem like there was a bit
- 24:06Speaker 3: of time to where it makes his chances less, right, Oh,
- 24:12Speaker 3: definitely with him, like having to go wake offa or
- 24:15Speaker 3: the daughter, wake up the police officer, and then getting
- 24:17Speaker 3: him to the hospital and.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. And one of the problems too is it's
- 24:21Speaker 2: not in a limb, it's inside the torso, right, So
- 24:25Speaker 2: if you are say shot in the arm, and it
- 24:28Speaker 2: does hit an artery and you are bleeding out, you
- 24:31Speaker 2: can put pressure and tie that off. You can stop
- 24:33Speaker 2: the bleeding out. Shot in the chest, you can't just
- 24:36Speaker 2: put pressure on the chest. He's now bleeding internally, so
- 24:39Speaker 2: he's still going to bleed out, right, dang.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Yeah, he really didn't have much of a chance.
- 24:43Speaker 2: So what he needed was medical attention, someone getting in there.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Surge at stamp.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:50Speaker 2: So all while this was going on, while he was
- 24:53Speaker 2: bleeding out, while investigators were frantically trying to figure out
- 24:56Speaker 2: what was going on, Golden and Joan drove back to
- 24:59Speaker 2: a friend's where they dropped the car back off. A
- 25:02Speaker 2: statement would be collected from Golden later, where it had
- 25:05Speaker 2: her stating, we left the car on the street, separated,
- 25:09Speaker 2: and walked to our homes. Joan said, forget you ever
- 25:13Speaker 2: saw me?
- 25:14Speaker 3: Huh.
- 25:15Speaker 2: It was then clear to Goldean that Joan had no intentions,
- 25:19Speaker 2: oh ever seeing her again.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Shit, yes, that is some ultimate betrayal.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yes. And it was right then and there that she
- 25:30Speaker 2: realized this is pretty much on her shoulders and she
- 25:34Speaker 2: was still left one big problem. She still had the
- 25:37Speaker 2: murder weapon.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Holy heck. And like in her mind, she's probably like, man,
- 25:41Speaker 3: the person I just killed, is he really that bad?
- 25:43Speaker 3: Because this person I thought was good as a monster?
- 25:47Speaker 2: Pretty much? Oh? Pretty much?
- 25:51Speaker 3: Oh sorry, I'm getting up, I'm making Ripley upset.
- 25:54Speaker 2: It's all good. She feeds off your energy, so.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Yeah she does. So.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Yeah, she knew that she was if she was caught
- 26:00Speaker 2: with this gun, this murder weapon, she wouldn't be able
- 26:03Speaker 2: to defend or explain herself in any way, right, So
- 26:06Speaker 2: what she did. Her solution was she went to a
- 26:08Speaker 2: nearby grocery store and rented out a locker. She left
- 26:12Speaker 2: the gun inside it, and she probably thought that was that,
- 26:15Speaker 2: or at least she hoped she did. But even with
- 26:18Speaker 2: all of Joan's planning, the police would soon be closing
- 26:21Speaker 2: in mm hm. And they would be closing in because
- 26:24Speaker 2: when they asked if her husband had any enemies, Betty
- 26:30Speaker 2: quickly gave them the name.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Joan Rabble and then Joan rats out her friend instantly.
- 26:37Speaker 3: I'm sure.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Well, they brought Joan in for questioning, but Joan played
- 26:41Speaker 2: it cool and gave them absolutely nothing.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Okay, here again, just don't listen, and my predictions are
- 26:45Speaker 3: just at the fucking lunch here.
- 26:47Speaker 2: You're way off course on a lot of this.
- 26:49Speaker 1: I am.
- 26:50Speaker 3: I don't know if this case is just not predictable
- 26:52Speaker 3: or if I'm tired, or what the hell's going on?
- 26:54Speaker 2: Well, you did, you did get one thing right here
- 26:56Speaker 2: that we'll be touching on here shortly, So just just
- 26:58Speaker 2: hold hold onto your panty here. There was no physical
- 27:02Speaker 2: evidence to tie Joan to the scene, so they couldn't
- 27:06Speaker 2: hold her they had to let her go. But everything
- 27:09Speaker 2: changed when investigators received an anonymous tip about a certain
- 27:13Speaker 2: locker in a certain grocery store. Okay, now this anonymous
- 27:18Speaker 2: tip again it is I mean, it's anonymous. Yeah, but
- 27:22Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure we can guess who made.
- 27:24Speaker 3: It, Joan, you think, Joe, I don't know. That's what
- 27:29Speaker 3: I think. But maybe I should say someone else because
- 27:32Speaker 3: my guess.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Has been streat Well, that's not who i'd guess. You'll
- 27:36Speaker 2: change your mind here. Shortly acting on the tip, the
- 27:40Speaker 2: authority searched the locker and found the murder wapping laying inside.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Of course, it was easy to find who the locker
- 27:46Speaker 2: belonged to once they trailed the rental information, and it
- 27:50Speaker 2: of course led them straight to Goldeing. Okay, now, when
- 27:54Speaker 2: approached by police, Goldine was more than ready to talk,
- 27:58Speaker 2: and she started confessing almost as soon as the police
- 28:01Speaker 2: walked through her door.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Which honestly will do better for her in the long
- 28:06Speaker 3: run for sentencing definitely and all that. Right.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Yeah, so Goldean had time to think about what she'd done,
- 28:13Speaker 2: and now out from under jones influence for quite a
- 28:17Speaker 2: few days, Goldean had realized that she had been completely
- 28:21Speaker 2: played and manipulated.
- 28:23Speaker 3: And that she fucked up big. Yes, she took someone's
- 28:26Speaker 3: life for God's.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Sake, exactly. So earlier you did mention that Goldean would
- 28:31Speaker 2: realize that she was being controlled. Yeah, so right on that.
- 28:35Speaker 2: But I mean, again, it was an anonymous call. I
- 28:37Speaker 2: don't know, but I'm pretty sure Goldean was the one
- 28:39Speaker 2: who called it.
- 28:40Speaker 3: That tip for the Oh okay, that wasn't going to
- 28:42Speaker 3: be my second guest, just to kind of get this
- 28:44Speaker 3: rolling where she could start confessing, hey, and getting it
- 28:47Speaker 3: off her chest.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Yes, she couldn't. She couldn't contain it. She realized she
- 28:50Speaker 2: was used, and yeah, she's pretty much confessing. So police
- 28:56Speaker 2: brought her back for questioning, and she began to tell
- 28:58Speaker 2: them everything that happened. She told him that Joan had
- 29:01Speaker 2: said everything and all these evil things about Peter Fabiano.
- 29:04Speaker 2: She told him about how Joan asked her to kill him,
- 29:08Speaker 2: and she'd driven Goldeine down to buy the gun and
- 29:10Speaker 2: even paid for it herself.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Wow.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Then Golden admitted that she didn't even know Peter or
- 29:16Speaker 2: really have any reason to kill him on her own.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Her exact words were, quote, I had no motive personally,
- 29:23Speaker 2: whatever motive I had was to please Joan. I was
- 29:27Speaker 2: always easily influenced. I had been impressionable and was always trusting.
- 29:33Speaker 3: That's kind of sad, hey.
- 29:34Speaker 2: It really is. She was completely taken advantage of, like
- 29:37Speaker 2: one hundred percent.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Yeah, so, and I mean she probably thought that, like
- 29:42Speaker 3: they were kind of in a relationship of sorts, right,
- 29:45Speaker 3: and that's exactly what they loved each other.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Oh, it's almost heartbreaking, really it is. You feel bad
- 29:53Speaker 3: for her, but then a step back, she still murdered someone.
- 29:56Speaker 2: That's true, that's true, But Joan, she was using, You're
- 30:00Speaker 2: like a marionette puppet Jones, being a big old I mean,
- 30:02Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 30:03Speaker 3: She was a bitch, she was, yeah, terrible. Yeah, and
- 30:06Speaker 3: it also sounded too like Goldane was kind of in
- 30:09Speaker 3: a place in her life where she was trying to
- 30:14Speaker 3: rebuild almost right, and the very susceptible to something like this.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Through and through with that nail enough.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Oh yeah, gosh, that's so sad.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Yeah. So, with the confessions and evidence that followed, authorities
- 30:26Speaker 2: had enough to arrest and charge both of them. Joan
- 30:30Speaker 2: wouldn't admit to anything and barely spoke to investigators, but
- 30:33Speaker 2: they had everything they needed from gold Dean's confessions, and
- 30:36Speaker 2: the pair were taken to court. Whether you're both pleaded guilty, sorry,
- 30:42Speaker 2: not guilty both really my mistake on that. Amazingly enough,
- 30:47Speaker 2: the prosecutor had them psychologically examined to make sure that
- 30:51Speaker 2: they were able to stand for their plea and they
- 30:54Speaker 2: were sane enough to stand trial. Now, the reason for
- 30:57Speaker 2: this was again we're going back to the nineteen fifth
- 31:00Speaker 2: these when homosexuality was considered a mental illness.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Oh boy.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and at the time of the prosecution, the prosecution
- 31:10Speaker 2: they actually wanted to find out if they could even
- 31:13Speaker 2: build a case against either of them, or if they
- 31:15Speaker 2: should just send them to a mental institution.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Wow.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like, wait a minute, they're gay, should they
- 31:22Speaker 2: be in straight jackets? That's pretty much their thought process,
- 31:24Speaker 2: which is like, holy fuck, that's brutal.
- 31:27Speaker 3: That's disturbing.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it is. So that's nice to see we've progressed
- 31:31Speaker 2: at least a little. But since then, yes, yep, doctors however,
- 31:36Speaker 2: did find both of them fit to stand trial. Okay,
- 31:38Speaker 2: but they did also confirm a part of Goldin's experiences
- 31:42Speaker 2: and in the evaluation of Goldean, the psychiacts. Sorry, psychiatrists
- 31:48Speaker 2: wrote this quote The only thought she had was that
- 31:53Speaker 2: she was saving her friend Joan Rabble from an evil person.
- 31:58Speaker 2: She became a handy tool or putty in the hands
- 32:01Speaker 2: of miss Rabble.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Hmmm. Wow. So I mean people are they're seeing what happened,
- 32:10Speaker 3: they're believing it and everything.
- 32:12Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 32:13Speaker 3: So I'm very curious to know what the fuck happens
- 32:15Speaker 3: with like sentencing and stuff.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Well, for Joanes, she was diagnosed with apparently having schizoid personality,
- 32:22Speaker 2: but I was still found well enough to go to court.
- 32:25Speaker 3: That doesn't surprise me, because she seems literally like a beach.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Just because you're a beyach doesn't mean you're quote schizoid.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Well no, no, not at all. But I already think
- 32:36Speaker 3: that she was like, I'm not a fan of her,
- 32:38Speaker 3: and the fact that she's that that evil. I was like,
- 32:42Speaker 3: something has to be like not quite right.
- 32:45Speaker 2: You know, she's dealing with some mental issues potentially. Yeah.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Yeah, not that I think you have mental issues. You're
- 32:51Speaker 3: beyond that is not what I mean.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, Like I know plenty of people without mental
- 32:57Speaker 2: issues who are still biaces, trust me, probably more, probably more. Anyways,
- 33:03Speaker 2: by then, both of the women had changed their pleas
- 33:06Speaker 2: Golding went down the insanity route, and Joan pleaded guilty
- 33:11Speaker 2: to second degree murder. Okay, many people looking back at
- 33:14Speaker 2: Joan's sudden change in her stance, they saw her not
- 33:18Speaker 2: wanting to receive a harsher sentence because of being homosexual.
- 33:22Speaker 2: She was still which was still illegal at the time,
- 33:25Speaker 2: and it could have actually influenced her trial. Oh okay, yeah,
- 33:28Speaker 2: but either way, they were both found guilty of second
- 33:31Speaker 2: degree murder. As a result of the trial, they both
- 33:35Speaker 2: received a life sentence with a minimum of five years,
- 33:38Speaker 2: and from there, Joan kind of disappears from the history books.
- 33:43Speaker 2: There's no record of when or if she ever was
- 33:45Speaker 2: ever released, but we do know that Goldine was and
- 33:49Speaker 2: in nineteen seventy one she was released, and fourteen years
- 33:53Speaker 2: after the murder, she was an officer at the Professional
- 33:56Speaker 2: Women's Club in Miracle Mile and she spent the rest
- 33:59Speaker 2: of her life in Los Angeles before she died in
- 34:01Speaker 2: nineteen ninety eight at the age of eighty three.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Okay, I'm glad that they both got the same because
- 34:08Speaker 3: that was what I was worried that Golden would get
- 34:10Speaker 3: more than Joan.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Yes, which I mean she was definitely the one who
- 34:15Speaker 2: pulled the trigger. So I can understand the concern forgetting more.
- 34:20Speaker 2: I mean, I it's right that she got the same,
- 34:23Speaker 2: but I'm almost at the same time like hoping she
- 34:24Speaker 2: got less because she was so manipulated.
- 34:26Speaker 3: You know, hoping. But then she still she did the.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Act exactly, she still committed the murder. So it's like, yeah, no,
- 34:34Speaker 2: that's totally fair. I can one hundred percent respect that
- 34:36Speaker 2: she should be serving time. Yes, yes, Now it's also
- 34:41Speaker 2: a little tricky to pin down what happened to Betty
- 34:43Speaker 2: Fabiano afterwards. We know she sold the businesses after Peter
- 34:48Speaker 2: had died, but some accounts say that she remarried in
- 34:51Speaker 2: nineteen sixty six. Now some say she didn't remarry. Some
- 34:57Speaker 2: also say that she played a part in Peter's death,
- 35:00Speaker 2: but there's little to no evidence to prove that. We
- 35:03Speaker 2: know that she also died in her eighties, but she
- 35:06Speaker 2: moved to Palm Desert, California, where she passed away at
- 35:09Speaker 2: the age of eighty one. All in all, other than
- 35:13Speaker 2: what was found in the court process, it's unclear of
- 35:16Speaker 2: just how much of a role any of the women
- 35:19Speaker 2: were really involved in this case. I mean, of course,
- 35:21Speaker 2: we do know that Joan manipulated Golden, but we don't
- 35:25Speaker 2: really know to what degree, and we don't know if
- 35:27Speaker 2: Betty was really involved. What we do know is it
- 35:30Speaker 2: was kind of like a messy love triangle situation that
- 35:33Speaker 2: caught the better of multiple emotions. And for some they
- 35:36Speaker 2: were simply trying to make sense of the world that
- 35:39Speaker 2: refused to make sense of them, and for others it
- 35:42Speaker 2: may have simply been revenge. Who knows. For whatever the reason,
- 35:48Speaker 2: this story has left more than a few people broken hearted.
- 35:50Speaker 3: Though that theory Betty being involved is very interesting.
- 35:55Speaker 2: It is, but again, there's no evidence zip because.
- 36:00Speaker 3: You have to wonder, Like I mean, it's a possibility
- 36:03Speaker 3: that she decided to have gone back to him, being
- 36:07Speaker 3: that the world wasn't very open to her situation and
- 36:11Speaker 3: she wasn't happy, and like she was the one behind this.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Not saying I could see it, not saying that's what
- 36:17Speaker 3: happened by any means, but I could see it.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Yeah, there could be some like we sit here and
- 36:22Speaker 2: we look and we say, oh, Joan was pulling all
- 36:24Speaker 2: the strings behind the scene, Well, what if Betty was
- 36:26Speaker 2: pulling Joan's strings because Joan was pulling Golden.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Joan was obsessed with Betty.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Yeah, so who knows. Yeah, all we know is that
- 36:37Speaker 2: at the cost of one man's life, this literally created
- 36:42Speaker 2: the most infamous murder tied to the spooky Halloween season
- 36:45Speaker 2: in American history, that would go down in history known
- 36:50Speaker 2: as the Trick or Treat murders.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Wow, huh yeah, way to end Halloween Week.
- 36:57Speaker 2: I thought it was a good one to end off on.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Very much though it was actually very interesting.
- 37:02Speaker 2: So what was your favorite episode from Halloween Week?
- 37:05Speaker 1: Though?
- 37:06Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, am I allowed to look at them all?
- 37:08Speaker 3: I don't even know if I can remember.
- 37:10Speaker 2: Off the top of your head. I'm surprised you're not
- 37:11Speaker 2: just going with the three urban legends right away.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I forgot about that one.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Oh could you forget about it?
- 37:17Speaker 3: I don't know, it's all a blur. I can't even
- 37:20Speaker 3: We need to go through what we've done. Come on,
- 37:22Speaker 3: please bring them up.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Oh okay, bring them up. I'll bring it up right now.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Give us talk some entertainment while I'm pulling this up
- 37:29Speaker 2: on Spotify.
- 37:30Speaker 3: Oh, we all know that I'm not very good at
- 37:31Speaker 3: talk and entertainment.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Here, you can do it. I believe in you.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Oh, what's okay? What's everyone's favorite Halloween candy. That's a
- 37:39Speaker 3: good Halloween snap. I got these really cool KitKat like
- 37:43Speaker 3: they were spooky kit cats or something. And so they're
- 37:45Speaker 3: like shaped is what are they shaped as?
- 37:48Speaker 2: Like little monsters?
- 37:48Speaker 3: And yeah, they're freaking delicious.
- 37:50Speaker 2: I was actually just talking the other day how slept on,
- 37:52Speaker 2: Oh Henry bars are. They're actually fucking delicious.
- 37:57Speaker 3: They're good, So they're good.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Anyways, I got the list of here.
- 38:00Speaker 3: I just have to say to finish this off. The
- 38:01Speaker 3: only really Halloween County treat I don't love as Smarties.
- 38:05Speaker 3: Oh also the emin ms that are just normal eminems.
- 38:07Speaker 3: I like the pen and m and ms.
- 38:09Speaker 2: You might want to pronounce peanuts a little more and
- 38:11Speaker 2: not precisely.
- 38:13Speaker 3: There you go.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Anyways, what we covered so far was the Man with
- 38:19Speaker 2: a Thousand Facesmyosuna scary shit, the hands resist him. The
- 38:23Speaker 2: haunted paintings Booky, the Hungarian vampire Bella Kiss Oh god. Yeah,
- 38:28Speaker 2: three Urban Legends version two Haunted places around the world.
- 38:34Speaker 3: That was fun.
- 38:34Speaker 2: The Alice killings.
- 38:37Speaker 3: I already forget what that is.
- 38:39Speaker 2: You forget what the alice? The playing cards oh shit. Yeah,
- 38:43Speaker 2: and then of course today the trick or Treat murders.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Okay, I would definitely have to say Urban Legends because
- 38:49Speaker 3: that shit's just fun. And I did like going around
- 38:52Speaker 3: the world. The haunted spooky locations around the world is
- 38:55Speaker 3: kind of fun too.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Those are definitely fun. I do have to say, though,
- 38:59Speaker 2: Jami Osuna, the Man with a Thousand Faces, that was
- 39:02Speaker 2: that was a ride and head.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Yeah, and I do like this one too. I mean
- 39:06Speaker 3: I like them all, don't get me wrong, I like
- 39:07Speaker 3: them all. This one I found kind of interesting as well.
- 39:11Speaker 3: But we'll do a post of sorts, say, and see
- 39:14Speaker 3: what other people's favorites are. It's kind of neat for
- 39:16Speaker 3: us to know.
- 39:17Speaker 2: We'll learn too, definitely. So if you want to go

- 39:51Speaker 3: Take it away, Jacko.
- 39:54Speaker 1: With what can only be described as the blink of
- 39:57Speaker 1: an eye, the second annual Hallowing Week has come and gone.
- 40:03Speaker 1: It has been a pleasure these past seven days to
- 40:07Speaker 1: serve you as your master of ceremonies through these tales
- 40:11Speaker 1: of Halloweing Week. Of course, I must return to my
- 40:16Speaker 1: slumber once again, But don't be sad. I am always
- 40:22Speaker 1: around in spirit. And if you light a single candle
- 40:27Speaker 1: and listen closely to the flame flicker in the melting wax,
- 40:31Speaker 1: you might just hear my voice. You might just hear
- 40:37Speaker 1: my laugh. Until next time, stay wicked.
