- 0:00Speaker 1: I put forward with Alexi Napola and Marisaw Patton and
- 0:04Speaker 1: iHeartRadio podcast Good Evening, I put forward listeners. It's just
- 0:11Speaker 1: me today, maysol imn Solo. As you may or may
- 0:15Speaker 1: not know, the news just broke that Alexia's husband, Todd
- 0:21Speaker 1: has filed for divorce. We're all a little shocked and
- 0:25Speaker 1: and so you know, it's not a good day for
- 0:29Speaker 1: her to be here and participate. What can I say,
- 0:34Speaker 1: I'm completely taken by surprise. I mean, I didn't see
- 0:39Speaker 1: this coming. It's it rips my heart apart because I
- 0:45Speaker 1: just I can only put myself in her shoes and
- 0:48Speaker 1: know how hard this must be for her. You know,
- 0:50Speaker 1: that dream of we all have that dream of being
- 0:53Speaker 1: in love and then we you know, find a partner
- 0:56Speaker 1: and we have the fantasy of the perfect life, and
- 0:59Speaker 1: then reality hit. Sometimes it's not what we thought it
- 1:01Speaker 1: was going to be. And and today's today, we all
- 1:05Speaker 1: got a big cold dose of reality. You know, things
- 1:08Speaker 1: don't always turn out the way we planned. And I'm
- 1:13Speaker 1: very sad for her anyway. Alexi has just put out
- 1:17Speaker 1: a statement in regards to the articles that have come out.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I guess somebody somehow found the filing in the court system.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I mean these people. I just don't know how people
- 1:30Speaker 1: find I mean, who, who who goes out there digging
- 1:32Speaker 1: and looking for these things. I can't even believe it.
- 1:36Speaker 1: What what would what would inspire to go dig it
- 1:38Speaker 1: around to see who's getting divorced or who's in trouble
- 1:40Speaker 1: or you know, who just got arrested. But I guess
- 1:43Speaker 1: there's professionals that do that, and that's I guess how
- 1:45Speaker 1: they keep their their you know, their news outlets alive.
- 1:49Speaker 1: So this is a statement in response to the articles
- 1:54Speaker 1: that are now out all over the internet Instagram about
- 1:58Speaker 1: Todd filing for divorce. Alexia has said, I'm shocked and
- 2:02Speaker 1: heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage. I
- 2:06Speaker 1: will take comfort in the fact that my friends and
- 2:09Speaker 1: family will be by my side, supporting me during this
- 2:12Speaker 1: difficult time. I'm praying for better times ahead. Well, if
- 2:18Speaker 1: anyone knows that Alexia will see better times ahead, it's me.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I've been through the ringer. I've been through the ringer
- 2:26Speaker 1: with her, She's been through the ringer with me. We've
- 2:28Speaker 1: been through depths, divorces, marriages, TV shows, canceled TV shows,
- 2:36Speaker 1: rebooted TV shows. Now we get to talk about it
- 2:40Speaker 1: on our podcasts. If there's anything I know about Alexia,
- 2:45Speaker 1: she's strong, and she's a fighter and resilient. She's been
- 2:48Speaker 1: through a lot and she always comes out on the
- 2:50Speaker 1: other end shining. And I know that, you know, myself
- 2:56Speaker 1: and the whole team at iHeartRadio and I are going
- 2:59Speaker 1: to give her her space and when she's ready to
- 3:02Speaker 1: talk about it, she will, because Alex is a sharer,
- 3:05Speaker 1: and that's why she's on a reality show, because she
- 3:07Speaker 1: knows how to share and be open and be raw
- 3:10Speaker 1: and be real. You know, as much as I hurt
- 3:18Speaker 1: for her and feel my god, oh god, I know
- 3:23Speaker 1: how this feels. I've been left and I've been the
- 3:27Speaker 1: one to leave, and I know how hard it is
- 3:29Speaker 1: when you if you leave or you're the one that's left,
- 3:34Speaker 1: it's hard either way because you know you're hurting someone.
- 3:37Speaker 1: And I don't know. I mean, I'm an EmPATH. I
- 3:38Speaker 1: don't like to hurt people, and I certainly don't like
- 3:41Speaker 1: to be hurt. And you know, I will always be
- 3:45Speaker 1: here for her and give her support. You know, our
- 3:50Speaker 1: phones have been blowing up today. Mine's blowing up, you know,
- 3:53Speaker 1: I've told people, don't text her, give her some time.
- 3:57Speaker 1: You know, she needs to just be alone and figure
- 4:01Speaker 1: it out because it's all just so new and so
- 4:03Speaker 1: fresh and so shocking. And you know, I'm going to
- 4:07Speaker 1: be there for her. I'm always there for her. I
- 4:09Speaker 1: was there. You know. We used to work together. She
- 4:12Speaker 1: had a magazine at a PR firm. We always worked together.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Then we ended up doing a TV show together. Then
- 4:18Speaker 1: we were off the air for a few years, and
- 4:20Speaker 1: you know, I was in a relationship of marriage and
- 4:23Speaker 1: she was in a marriage. Her husband died and I
- 4:25Speaker 1: got divorced. Then we dated and did our girl time
- 4:28Speaker 1: and fun time together, and then I met somebody, and
- 4:32Speaker 1: she met Todd, and she stayed with Todd, and that
- 4:34Speaker 1: guy dumped me, and and then she was there for
- 4:38Speaker 1: me when I had to lick my wounds. And now
- 4:40Speaker 1: you know, I was there when herman died. And now
- 4:43Speaker 1: you know, I'm remarried, and now she's broken up with Todd.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Like our life is just always together in this same circle.
- 4:51Speaker 1: We always love each other, we always support each other,
- 4:53Speaker 1: and you know, I'm going to be here for her
- 4:57Speaker 1: no matter what. And I'm sure every buddy wants to
- 5:01Speaker 1: support Alexia right now, because you know you've probably been
- 5:04Speaker 1: there too. I'm sure all of us have been heartbroken
- 5:08Speaker 1: at one point or another.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Hey guys, I'm Jonathan, one of the producers on iPort Forward,
- 5:21Speaker 2: and I just had a quick question from Arisol. You
- 5:24Speaker 2: had mentioned that you've had different kinds of divorces. You've
- 5:29Speaker 2: either walked away or someone's walked away from you. Can
- 5:33Speaker 2: you tell me more about you know, those experiences and
- 5:36Speaker 2: what each one has done for you and how that
- 5:39Speaker 2: set you up for something better?
- 5:40Speaker 1: Well, you know me. Listen, I have this conversation with
- 5:45Speaker 1: Alexia all the time. We love to be in love
- 5:48Speaker 1: and we don't know how to be alone. I think
- 5:51Speaker 1: we're in love with love. We are. We talk about it,
- 5:53Speaker 1: we giggle. She's always like, I amya, You're like me,
- 5:56Speaker 1: we just can't be alone, and I'm like nope. And
- 5:58Speaker 1: you know when you when you just can't be alone
- 6:00Speaker 1: and you're in love love, you just jump into stuff.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I'm not saying that that's what she did, but me
- 6:06Speaker 1: for sure, I can tell you I love to jump
- 6:08Speaker 1: into things quite quickly. So when I was about twenty seven,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I married my first husband after knowing him. I don't know,
- 6:16Speaker 1: after two weeks he's like, I want to marry you.
- 6:18Speaker 1: It was this Turkish guy from miss Stambul and he
- 6:21Speaker 1: was super cute. He looked like Antonio Benderaz. All my
- 6:24Speaker 1: friends said he could call him Antonio. And he was
- 6:27Speaker 1: really fun, partied a little too much, way more than me,
- 6:31Speaker 1: smoked a lot of cigarettes. I'm not a fan of cigarettes,
- 6:34Speaker 1: but you know, I was like. My mother was like, oh,
- 6:37Speaker 1: you're twenty seven. You should just get married already. God,
- 6:40Speaker 1: people are going to think something's wrong with you. She's
- 6:42Speaker 1: the one that actually pushed me into the marriage. Like
- 6:44Speaker 1: I don't really know him. I don't know if I
- 6:46Speaker 1: really like him. His legs are super skinny, and she's like,
- 6:49Speaker 1: just do it. So I did it and Lauren Behol
- 6:53Speaker 1: On my wedding day, she comes into the bedroom like
- 6:56Speaker 1: I was on my way to the courthouse. We were
- 6:57Speaker 1: just going to go to the courthouse, and I had
- 7:01Speaker 1: like some ripped jeans and some TACKI platforms. It's like
- 7:05Speaker 1: nineteen ninety one, one or two. I don't even remember
- 7:07Speaker 1: what year it was. And it was actually right around
- 7:11Speaker 1: I was April tenth. It was last Wednesday, and my
- 7:14Speaker 1: dad calls me and he goes, oh, no, no, don't go
- 7:16Speaker 1: to the courthouse. Come to our house. I'm gonna call
- 7:18Speaker 1: a justice of the peace. I tell him that I
- 7:21Speaker 1: don't have anything to wear. I hadn't planned on doing
- 7:23Speaker 1: any of this. And my mother comes down with this
- 7:25Speaker 1: huge diamond and pearl necklace. Because she loved to buy
- 7:29Speaker 1: and collect beautiful jewelry. She's like, oh, I've been saving
- 7:33Speaker 1: this for your wedding day. I'm like, what are you
- 7:35Speaker 1: talking about. You just brought that home a few months
- 7:37Speaker 1: ago from the jewelry store. She's like, you better wear it.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Are your wedding's going to be cursed? And I said,
- 7:43Speaker 1: I'm not wearing it. He's wearing a linen yaeta and
- 7:46Speaker 1: I can't wear that crazy necklace. It's going to look stupid. Besides,
- 7:49Speaker 1: we're in our living room at home. She's like, I
- 7:52Speaker 1: cursed your wedding, and I curse you, and she locked
- 7:54Speaker 1: herself in the bedroom after she told me to marry him.
- 7:57Speaker 1: I didn't even see her on my wedding day. She
- 8:00Speaker 1: locked herself up. Anyway, I should have known it was
- 8:04Speaker 1: doomed because even the cake. His friend at the time
- 8:08Speaker 1: went to Publix and bought a cake the cake fell
- 8:10Speaker 1: over and split in half on the table, even before
- 8:13Speaker 1: the nuptials started, so Mom wasn't there. The cake fell apart.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I don't know why. I was crying like crazy. I
- 8:21Speaker 1: was very scared. I was scared. I was nervous. It
- 8:24Speaker 1: was the unknown for me. Then he started crying. We
- 8:26Speaker 1: were like two stupid kids, two bumbling idiots getting married. Anyway,
- 8:31Speaker 1: that lasted not long, maybe about fourteen months. I went
- 8:35Speaker 1: to Istanbul. I lived there a bit, and then I
- 8:39Speaker 1: started getting nervous because he was very lazy. His family
- 8:42Speaker 1: had a lot of money. He was very lazy, and
- 8:44Speaker 1: I thought he's not gonna be able to take care
- 8:45Speaker 1: of me, and I can't have children with him. Like how,
- 8:48Speaker 1: I'm a Capricorn. I'm very practical. So I was like,
- 8:51Speaker 1: maybe I should go home and finish my schooling and
- 8:54Speaker 1: then come back. So I said, listen, I want to
- 8:56Speaker 1: finish my degree. I was studying to be a school teacher,
- 8:58Speaker 1: and then I'll come back. Well, honey, I came back
- 9:03Speaker 1: and he moved on, and then I would call him
- 9:05Speaker 1: because I was hearing from him. And then one time
- 9:08Speaker 1: a woman picked up the phone and was laughing on
- 9:11Speaker 1: the other end of the phone and then hung up
- 9:12Speaker 1: on me. I couldn't believe it. I ran out of
- 9:14Speaker 1: the bathroom and I was puking. I was so sick
- 9:17Speaker 1: to my stomach. I couldn't believe this was happening. So
- 9:19Speaker 1: that was the end of that one. I never even
- 9:22Speaker 1: was able to reach him again. We had to do
- 9:23Speaker 1: a divorce where you you know, you just you put
- 9:28Speaker 1: an announcement in the newspaper because he lived in a
- 9:30Speaker 1: Muslim country. So we did it like that, and then
- 9:32Speaker 1: it was like, you know, it's like when they say,
- 9:34Speaker 1: you say, I divorce you a divorce here two times
- 9:36Speaker 1: and then you're divorced. It was like one of those things.
- 9:38Speaker 1: So that's how I got divorced the first time. Second time,
- 9:43Speaker 1: I get married on the show with this really cute
- 9:48Speaker 1: guy that you know had a catering company and he
- 9:51Speaker 1: did a lot of the catering for the events at
- 9:53Speaker 1: my company. He was always flirting with me, but I
- 9:54Speaker 1: ignored him because I was always dating somebody and having
- 9:58Speaker 1: a good time and just in attention because I was like, oh,
- 10:01Speaker 1: that's the catering dude. And then he opened a restaurant
- 10:05Speaker 1: here and he's like, i'd really like to invite you,
- 10:07Speaker 1: and so I decided to go, and sure enough that
- 10:10Speaker 1: was the end of that. We stayed together. We ended
- 10:12Speaker 1: up getting married, like I don't know, four months later.
- 10:16Speaker 1: That lasted not long, a couple of years. We were
- 10:20Speaker 1: just totally mismatched, not you know, I was just totally
- 10:25Speaker 1: like in this trajectory of work, work, work, work, work
- 10:29Speaker 1: filmed my show, work, work, work filmed my show, and
- 10:32Speaker 1: I had no time to be a wife or be
- 10:35Speaker 1: good one it that and you know, communication breakdown. I
- 10:43Speaker 1: wasn't being very nice to him. One day I came
- 10:45Speaker 1: home and he was gone, and there was a letter
- 10:47Speaker 1: on the bed and he had packed his stuff. He said,
- 10:50Speaker 1: I'm going to France for a while, and you know,
- 10:55Speaker 1: I was shocked. I was like, wow, I can't really
- 10:57Speaker 1: just got up and left like that. But I guess
- 10:59Speaker 1: I pushed him to it. I was sad, you know.
- 11:04Speaker 1: I waited a couple of months, begged him to come back.
- 11:06Speaker 1: He came back. It just it wasn't going to work.
- 11:10Speaker 1: He liked to go out till three four o'clock in
- 11:11Speaker 1: the morning and I would stay home and he wasn't home.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And no one can live like that. You can't have
- 11:16Speaker 1: a partner out partying, partying, and you're at home alone
- 11:20Speaker 1: wondering were there and they're not even picking up the phone,
- 11:22Speaker 1: so that you know that went awry, just like the
- 11:27Speaker 1: other one. And then I had a client, a client
- 11:35Speaker 1: that I hadn't seen in many years, but whenever I
- 11:37Speaker 1: would see him, he would fly in from London. I
- 11:40Speaker 1: opened his restaurant. We would talk for hours and hours
- 11:43Speaker 1: at a time. He was married at the time, I
- 11:45Speaker 1: was married at the time, but we had a very
- 11:47Speaker 1: good chemistry, like a mental chemistry. We connected very very well.
- 11:51Speaker 1: And he's like starts. He would write send me an email. No,
- 11:57Speaker 1: not an email, he would send me a text every
- 11:59Speaker 1: New Year at midnight for five years straight. How are you.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I'm thinking of you. I thought, that's really odd. So
- 12:06Speaker 1: at the end of those five years, he's like, I'm
- 12:08Speaker 1: coming to town. He sends me an email. I said, okay,
- 12:11Speaker 1: good for you. I was dating somebody and he's like,
- 12:14Speaker 1: I really want to see him, like I'm busy, and
- 12:16Speaker 1: then every day he just chased me, every day, I
- 12:18Speaker 1: want to see I want see I want to see him. Finally,
- 12:20Speaker 1: I was a little bit on the rocks with the
- 12:22Speaker 1: person I was dating, and I decided to go out
- 12:24Speaker 1: with him, and sure enough, you know, that was like
- 12:28Speaker 1: a thirteen hour date. And then I said, you know,
- 12:31Speaker 1: I don't want to see anymore. You don't even live here,
- 12:33Speaker 1: and this is no good and I don't want any
- 12:34Speaker 1: more heartbreak in my life. But he hunted me, chased
- 12:37Speaker 1: me down, and eventually moved to Miami and we moved
- 12:40Speaker 1: in together and lived together for three and a half years,
- 12:43Speaker 1: and it was tough. It got really toxic after. Like
- 12:48Speaker 1: he was on good behavior the first two years, and
- 12:51Speaker 1: that last year and a half just was He would
- 12:53Speaker 1: pick fights constantly and there was too much drinking going on,
- 12:59Speaker 1: and I was constantly trying to fix things and make
- 13:03Speaker 1: it better, and you know, he always made me feel
- 13:06Speaker 1: like everything was my fault. So I was always you know,
- 13:08Speaker 1: over pleasing, overcompensating. And you know, one day he's like,
- 13:16Speaker 1: I think I need to move out. My daughter's unwell
- 13:18Speaker 1: and I need to be with her. And I said, okay, well,
- 13:21Speaker 1: you know, move close by. He goes, well, well, you know,
- 13:23Speaker 1: we're we're going to still be together, but I'm just
- 13:25Speaker 1: going to live here for a little while in an apartment.
- 13:29Speaker 1: And I helped him find an apartment. I helped him
- 13:31Speaker 1: pick the furniture. I sent my handyman over and set
- 13:34Speaker 1: everything up, and sure enough, he just communication just became
- 13:39Speaker 1: less and less and less. And then one day I
- 13:42Speaker 1: came home and the rest of his clothes were gone.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, everything's gone. Now. It was
- 13:47Speaker 1: supposed to be just like a little here and then
- 13:49Speaker 1: a little over and at my house, a little clothing
- 13:52Speaker 1: and little clothing at his house, and we'll just keep
- 13:54Speaker 1: it going from there and you know, get the daughter
- 13:57Speaker 1: situated and then he'd be back home. Oh that that
- 14:01Speaker 1: really hit me hard. It hit me hard because it
- 14:04Speaker 1: happened right around the same time my dad died, and
- 14:07Speaker 1: I was just a broken, broken human being. So I
- 14:12Speaker 1: know what these pains are like. And yeah, it's you know,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I feel for Alexi. I know how hard all of
- 14:20Speaker 1: this is when you're not you know, expecting things. And well,
- 14:26Speaker 1: now you know, I spend a lot of time healing
- 14:28Speaker 1: myself and praying, and I manifested a really great man.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I'm very happy, and you know, on my wedding anniversary
- 14:36Speaker 1: is on Monday, three years and it's the greatest thing
- 14:40Speaker 1: that ever happened to me. Like I know, that I'm
- 14:42Speaker 1: not just in love with love. I know that this
- 14:44Speaker 1: is a love for life this time around. That's all
- 14:48Speaker 1: I got to say, Guys,
