- 0:02Speaker 1: This is am I the problem?
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's me.
- 0:08Speaker 1: On the problem, it's me.
- 0:09Speaker 3: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your help,
- 0:12Speaker 3: am I the problem with? You? Decide if it's right
- 0:15Speaker 3: or if maybe you're the problem.
- 0:17Speaker 4: I'm hardly the problem.
- 0:18Speaker 3: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Alex wrote into us Gabe, Angie, is this weird? I
- 0:25Speaker 2: started dating this girl who I met on Tinder. She's
- 0:28Speaker 2: cool and gorgeous.
- 0:29Speaker 5: Oh, she and I have that in common.
- 0:32Speaker 2: I'm sorry, Okay, she's cool and gorgeous, but I realized
- 0:36Speaker 2: she's not on social media legit. Her Tinder is the
- 0:39Speaker 2: only place she has pictures up, but she's not on Snap, Instagram, Facebook, nothing.
- 0:44Speaker 5: I had asked her on our.
- 0:45Speaker 2: First date if I could get her Snap and then
- 0:47Speaker 2: she told me she's not on social media because it's
- 0:50Speaker 2: just not her thing. And I thought that was cool,
- 0:53Speaker 2: whatever whatever. I mentioned it to my buddies and they
- 0:56Speaker 2: said that's a friend. They said, that's a red flag.
- 1:00Speaker 2: So she's a twenty six year old girl. Why wouldn't
- 1:03Speaker 2: she be into that? And actually thinking about it, that
- 1:06Speaker 2: does seem weird.
- 1:07Speaker 5: Is she hiding something?
- 1:08Speaker 2: I don't want to be rude and accuse her so
- 1:10Speaker 2: I'm asking you, guys, ha ha, okay, alex Ah.
- 1:15Speaker 1: The voices of reason.
- 1:16Speaker 2: On my This is why we also have you to
- 1:19Speaker 2: help us out seven oh one to eight all one
- 1:21Speaker 2: nine eight seven, text us your thoughts, call us, and
- 1:25Speaker 2: we also have this on the big ninety eight points.
- 1:26Speaker 5: I'm on Facebook page. I think that she is hiding something.
- 1:32Speaker 2: I totally get if you're not chronically online like some
- 1:35Speaker 2: of us myself, but I think it is weird that
- 1:38Speaker 2: she's not on social media at all. That to me
- 1:41Speaker 2: does mean she's hiding something because even if well, you're
- 1:46Speaker 2: a rest record now, maybe she's on OnlyFans.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Maybe she oh she got a little only toes down.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Maybe or maybe she like did something that she doesn't
- 1:58Speaker 2: want to be.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Maybe I'm taking it too far.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I think she is hiding something, though, I think it's weird.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I think it's weird because even if you're not super
- 2:08Speaker 2: into social media.
- 2:10Speaker 5: I have friends who are.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Not, they still at minimum have a profile, even if
- 2:16Speaker 2: it's like one profile picture from ten years ago or something,
- 2:19Speaker 2: and they don't really post at all, but at the
- 2:22Speaker 2: very least you know they be lurking and may be
- 2:25Speaker 2: keeping up on the memes and stuff.
- 2:26Speaker 5: I think that's weird. I think it's weird.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I think it's especially weird to not even have a
- 2:31Speaker 2: snap because that's like the one where things disappear. So
- 2:36Speaker 2: if you are hiding something like snap is maybe the
- 2:39Speaker 2: safer one. And if she doesn't even have that, I
- 2:41Speaker 2: don't know. I think it's weird.
- 2:42Speaker 5: I think she's hiding something.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Gabe, what do you think? Here's what I'll say. His
- 2:47Speaker 1: name's Alex. Yeah, Alex. Don't let your your goofy, silly,
- 2:51Speaker 1: stupid buddies who you've known since third grade stop you
- 2:55Speaker 1: from finding your wife. Okay, this lady sounds like a unicorn.
- 2:59Speaker 1: You're telling me she's not walking around taking selfies all
- 3:02Speaker 1: morning here in the big ninety eight point seven s
- 3:05Speaker 1: or sorry, sorry that was a little two personal my
- 3:07Speaker 1: dad is you're telling me this girl did some research
- 3:11Speaker 1: and found all of the negative side effects of being
- 3:14Speaker 1: on social media all day every day. This lady, she
- 3:17Speaker 1: might be Bill Ny the science sky level genius for
- 3:21Speaker 1: all you know.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Okay, so you don't think it's a red flag she
- 3:25Speaker 2: has no social media?
- 3:27Speaker 5: What's a wab?
- 3:28Speaker 1: I think in twenty twenty six, it's kind of weird,
- 3:30Speaker 1: But I also commend it. Maybe she is just sick
- 3:32Speaker 1: of all of the things she has seen on social media.
- 3:35Speaker 1: And when you know what, I am out. I log
- 3:37Speaker 1: into this every day and it makes me mad, It
- 3:39Speaker 1: gets me irritated, It makes me hate the world, and
- 3:42Speaker 1: I don't want to live like that. I think that's respectable.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Maybe she's prioritizing her mental health.
- 3:48Speaker 5: You who the fuck could never be me?
- 3:50Speaker 2: Why don't you think seven out one two eight on one,
- 3:52Speaker 2: nine eighty seven? Is it a red flag that Alex's
- 3:55Speaker 2: girl that he's dating doesn't have social media at all?
- 3:59Speaker 5: Or is this refreshing and he should be into it?
- 4:01Speaker 1: And I will say you did say maybe she got
- 4:03Speaker 1: that onlytoes dot com. Well, who cares to know what?
- 4:06Speaker 1: You can find her online to see it anyway, and
- 4:15Speaker 1: good morning. We have Duaba on the phone. Touaba, what
- 4:17Speaker 1: are you thinking? For am I the problem?
- 4:19Speaker 4: I was gonna say, maybe when she was a teenager,
- 4:22Speaker 4: like fifteen, sixteen years old, she was bullied online and
- 4:26Speaker 4: then she just took all of her stuff off. I'm
- 4:29Speaker 4: not gonna deal with this anymore.
- 4:30Speaker 1: She could have That is very true. I also will say, Alex,
- 4:33Speaker 1: like if you're on date three and accusing anyone of anything.
- 4:37Speaker 1: That seems very early to be accusatory.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe he should just be asking her more about herself.
- 4:44Speaker 4: Right, Maybe he's the red flag, for God's sake.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's very possible, very possible.
- 4:50Speaker 5: I love the spin on that maybe he's the red flag.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It turns one eighty. We do have Justin on the phone, Justin,
- 4:56Speaker 1: what do.
- 4:57Speaker 4: You think I'm with game on this to be the
- 4:59Speaker 4: unicor learn that they're looking for. I personally don't think
- 5:03Speaker 4: discord is a social media say it's a communication site. Okay,
- 5:07Speaker 4: what if they have a Discord? What if she's the
- 5:10Speaker 4: secret gamer that he's actually been looking for to game with?
- 5:15Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, Justin, you gotta be careful.
- 5:18Speaker 1: This is a family friendly show and a lot of
- 5:20Speaker 1: dudes just got real happy right now.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Oh I know, right.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Thanks for the call, Justin. We appreciate you.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Destiny texted us and said, I think red flags are
- 5:30Speaker 2: being twenty six and asking for a snap when we're
- 5:33Speaker 2: adults and our main communication should be texting and calling,
- 5:38Speaker 2: not social media. Okay, I don't hate that take. I
- 5:42Speaker 2: do think it's funny when a grown person asks me
- 5:45Speaker 2: for my snapchat?
- 5:46Speaker 1: Well, what if you're twenty four and your brain hasn't
- 5:48Speaker 1: fully developed yet.
- 5:50Speaker 5: That's the big distinction right there.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Two years ocket, we have Nick on the line. Nick,
- 5:56Speaker 1: what do you think?
- 5:56Speaker 3: Hell, Alex gave you one hundred percent right hang onto
- 5:59Speaker 3: that unicorn and she ducks to you instead of looking
- 6:01Speaker 3: at her screen.
- 6:02Speaker 1: That's well put gosh, dang it.
- 6:04Speaker 5: Now I'm realizing I'm the problem.
- 6:07Speaker 1: And if you don't know what's going on? Am I
- 6:09Speaker 1: the problem? Today? Alex has been on a couple of
- 6:11Speaker 1: dates with this twenty six year old girl and she
- 6:14Speaker 1: has zero presence on social media. It didn't really bother
- 6:17Speaker 1: him at the start.
- 6:18Speaker 2: But buddy, his buddy said, what, she's twenty six, Why
- 6:22Speaker 2: isn't she on social media?
- 6:23Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I think the buddies just want to see more pictures
- 6:27Speaker 2: of Alex's girl.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Rather being snoopy. That might be it, So still time
- 6:31Speaker 1: to chime in if you want seven oh one two
- 6:33Speaker 1: eight zero one nine eight seven, give us a call
- 6:36Speaker 1: or shoot us a text. Is it strange if you
- 6:38Speaker 1: go out on a couple dates with someone and there,
- 6:40Speaker 1: you know, in their mid upper twenties thirties, and they
- 6:44Speaker 1: have no presence on social media?
- 6:52Speaker 2: The problem on today's am I the problem Alex is
- 6:55Speaker 2: dating a girl who has no social media presence, and
- 6:59Speaker 2: he wants to know if that is a problem or
- 7:02Speaker 2: if he's overthinking.
- 7:03Speaker 1: It is he secretly just asking like, hey, does this
- 7:05Speaker 1: girl have an onlytoes dot com account? I need to
- 7:08Speaker 1: know about.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I mean, it could be we got this on Facebook
- 7:12Speaker 2: from Amanda.
- 7:12Speaker 5: She said, not a red flag.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Some employers are all over employees social media. She could
- 7:18Speaker 2: just be avoiding the drama. Ooh, that is a good point.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Yeah, not having social media is a good way to
- 7:24Speaker 1: not get in trouble online. Yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 5: I have gotten in trouble for things I've posted back
- 7:30Speaker 5: back my youth.
- 7:32Speaker 1: This is yesterday.
- 7:33Speaker 2: No, it was that like I was partying and then
- 7:36Speaker 2: my manager saw and whatever, And that's because I made
- 7:38Speaker 2: the mistake of having them on my social media. That's
- 7:41Speaker 2: a good take, Amanda. And then Yolanda she texted us
- 7:45Speaker 2: and she said, if she truly isn't online, then congrats.
- 7:49Speaker 2: She has priorities to keep the useless distractions away. I
- 7:53Speaker 2: have many friends without any social media. Okay, so Alex
- 7:57Speaker 2: not weird. Yolanda has several friends that aren't on social media.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Maybe your girl is one of your longest rys.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Yeah, that might be true, Yolanda, do you have a
- 8:07Speaker 1: friend who may be on a date with an hour?
- 8:09Speaker 1: They let us know, will you? And then finally, here
- 8:13Speaker 1: we have Stephanie. She says today, I agree with Angie.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Oh usually it's Gabe. But no, that is weird and
- 8:21Speaker 1: she is hiding something. Either that or she's going to
- 8:25Speaker 1: be a nun laughing but very soon.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Wow.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Celebrating life's little victories victory every morning we practice gratitude
- 8:36Speaker 3: on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 8:38Speaker 4: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 8:40Speaker 4: basket job busted out whenever someone's acting hard.
- 8:44Speaker 3: I just really needed to win, you know, sure your
- 8:46Speaker 3: little victories with us at seven oh one two eight one,
- 8:50Speaker 3: eight seven.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Angie, do you have a little victory for us here today?
- 8:54Speaker 1: What's something good that happened in your life?
- 8:56Speaker 2: It is such a small victory, but I know you,
- 8:59Speaker 2: Gabe will appreciate this, maybe more than anyone.
- 9:03Speaker 5: On the drive to work today, did not hit a
- 9:06Speaker 5: single red light?
- 9:07Speaker 1: Oh I call that running the gauntlet.
- 9:09Speaker 5: Oh yes, okay, ran the gauntlet this morning.
- 9:13Speaker 1: And if you don't know, there's about it's I can't
- 9:16Speaker 1: remember exactly. It's either twelve or fifteen. I did count
- 9:18Speaker 1: one morning, but for where Angie and I live in
- 9:21Speaker 1: South Fargo to Radio FM Media. Here in Big ninety
- 9:24Speaker 1: eight point seven, there's about fifteen stop lights. Yes, we
- 9:27Speaker 1: would go through on twenty fifth.
- 9:29Speaker 5: It was magical.
- 9:30Speaker 2: Obviously, I don't drive myself, Mikey drives me, and so
- 9:34Speaker 2: I wasn't really paying attention.
- 9:35Speaker 5: But he's the one who gets really upset when there's
- 9:38Speaker 5: a red light, and he's like, for why, for who,
- 9:40Speaker 5: who's even on the streets right now?
- 9:42Speaker 2: Right and so right as we were passing, yes, right
- 9:46Speaker 2: as we were passing the final one, he said, we
- 9:48Speaker 2: didn't hit a single red light. And I told him, Oh,
- 9:51Speaker 2: that's my little victory today. So I'm very excited to share.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Yes, well, good for you. Angie ran the gauntlet this morning.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I'm very happy.
- 9:58Speaker 4: I love that.
- 9:59Speaker 1: What about you, Gabe. I have two little victories here today,
- 10:01Speaker 1: both very quick. My first little victory yesterday, I think
- 10:05Speaker 1: was the first time I'm not even kidding, maybe in
- 10:08Speaker 1: twenty years that I had a planned nap. I stayed
- 10:14Speaker 1: up pretty late on Monday to watch the Minnesota wild
- 10:16Speaker 1: game all right, and then at about twelve thirty one o'clock,
- 10:20Speaker 1: when I was done playing fetch with my dog, I
- 10:23Speaker 1: said self, we're gonna lay down. We're gonna shut our
- 10:26Speaker 1: eyes for forty five minutes. Whether we sleep or not,
- 10:30Speaker 1: I don't care, but you're gonna sit here and close
- 10:32Speaker 1: your eyes for forty five minutes. And I did, and
- 10:35Speaker 1: I slept for about forty five minutes, and I could
- 10:39Speaker 1: not feel better today. Now. Sometimes when I take a nap,
- 10:43Speaker 1: which is never on purpose, My NAP's are always accidental.
- 10:46Speaker 1: If they do happen, they'll be at like five or six,
- 10:49Speaker 1: which is an nightmare. Yeah. So I took a nap yesterday,
- 10:53Speaker 1: got the sleep schedule kind of back on track, went
- 10:55Speaker 1: to bed my same standard late than it probably should be. Yeah,
- 11:00Speaker 1: but I feel wonderful today, and I do credit that
- 11:04Speaker 1: little nap there. Also, this is another little victory. For
- 11:07Speaker 1: whatever reason. I don't know if we like need a
- 11:09Speaker 1: new piece of equipment or whatever, but our internet was
- 11:12Speaker 1: out for a chunk of time yesterday. We're gon we're
- 11:14Speaker 1: gonna have someone over looking at the Internet, and you know,
- 11:17Speaker 1: there was nothing for us to really put on TV.
- 11:19Speaker 1: We have a smart TV, we couldn't really use it.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Without Wi Fi and our phones obviously we could use
- 11:25Speaker 1: five G or whatever the yeah current whatever.
- 11:29Speaker 5: Is, whatever the G is right now, right Well, it
- 11:32Speaker 5: was kind of nice.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Cory and I just sat She was in her chair.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I was sitting on the couch and we just kind
- 11:36Speaker 1: of sat there and just shot the breeze for a
- 11:40Speaker 1: while to pass the time. It was kind of nice.
- 11:42Speaker 1: No one was on their phone, no one was watching
- 11:44Speaker 1: reality TV, no one was watching some stupid chess tournament.
- 11:48Speaker 1: So for you know, an hour hour and a half
- 11:50Speaker 1: before the internet came back out, we kind of just
- 11:52Speaker 1: sat there and chilled and hung out with our dog.
- 11:54Speaker 5: Spouses, talking to each other. What a novel idea?
- 11:58Speaker 1: Yeah, what a fun let me tell you. But no,
- 12:00Speaker 1: it was just kind of nice. On the way we
- 12:03Speaker 1: have somber. We'll also have your tea coming up this
- 12:06Speaker 1: morning on Big ninety eight point seven. And if you
- 12:07Speaker 1: ever have a little victory, message them to us at
- 12:10Speaker 1: any point throughout the day. We love to hear them.
- 12:12Speaker 1: They give us a little boost too, even if we
- 12:14Speaker 1: read them, you know, before we're leaving in the afternoon.
- 12:17Speaker 1: So seven oh one two eight zero one seven. Is
- 12:23Speaker 1: there something you have to do before you can relax
- 12:28Speaker 1: or begin to relax and go to bed. I noticed
- 12:31Speaker 1: this about myself yesterday. And maybe it's just been good
- 12:35Speaker 1: parenting practice for when baby g arrives this summer.
- 12:39Speaker 5: But well, you'll never relax ever again.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Yeah, relaxing's over. Yeah, but I have got I've learned,
- 12:45Speaker 1: and I've really noticed it. I'd say the past a
- 12:47Speaker 1: handful of months here, I cannot, for the life of me,
- 12:51Speaker 1: sit down, lay down, go to bed unless I know
- 12:56Speaker 1: I have let Winona to go out to the bathroom.
- 12:59Speaker 1: It does not match. Let's say I go to bed
- 13:00Speaker 1: at nine point thirty. It doesn't matter if I let
- 13:03Speaker 1: Wanona out at nine to twelve. Oh, I still have
- 13:07Speaker 1: to do just one more time. Final And then for
- 13:10Speaker 1: some people it's do you have to go check that
- 13:12Speaker 1: front door lock? Do you have to make sure the
- 13:14Speaker 1: garage door is closed? Oh?
- 13:17Speaker 5: Mine is the sliding glass door.
- 13:19Speaker 2: I have a lot of nightmares that someone gets into
- 13:23Speaker 2: the house through the sliding glass door. This has been
- 13:25Speaker 2: a nightmare I've had since I was a child. Sure,
- 13:28Speaker 2: I don't know why, And so yeah, every night I'm
- 13:31Speaker 2: I don't even think to check before I get into
- 13:34Speaker 2: the bed. That's what bothers me is that I'll get
- 13:36Speaker 2: into bed and then I'll think, Oh, I gotta check
- 13:38Speaker 2: the sliding glass door. And there's part of me that's like, girl,
- 13:41Speaker 2: you didn't even open the sliding glass door today, why
- 13:44Speaker 2: would it be unlocked.
- 13:45Speaker 5: Yeah, but I can't. I have to get up out
- 13:47Speaker 5: of bed and I have to check it.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one eight seven. Are
- 13:52Speaker 1: there things you have to do before you can either
- 13:54Speaker 1: sit down and kind of begin to relax or before
- 13:57Speaker 1: you can go to bed.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Some people that would be like, I can't go to
- 14:01Speaker 1: sleep if I don't shower first.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Oh.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Yeah, But the most popular answer, and I have a
- 14:08Speaker 1: feeling our Angie probably does a little bit of this.
- 14:12Speaker 1: You cannot relax until you do some type of cleaning
- 14:16Speaker 1: or the dishes for this dish that is my wife.
- 14:20Speaker 1: We have someone stopping by today just to check on
- 14:23Speaker 1: the internet. It's possible we might just need like a
- 14:25Speaker 1: new modem quick easy in and out fix. Yeah, my wife,
- 14:29Speaker 1: this person won't even go into the house, I don't
- 14:32Speaker 1: think because all the stuff they needs outside.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Uh.
- 14:36Speaker 1: My wife yesterday finds out we might be having or
- 14:39Speaker 1: not might be we are having someone stop by the
- 14:41Speaker 1: house today and immediately gets up and begins to vacuum.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Does she need to vacuum? No, there's no stuff. I'd
- 14:51Speaker 1: we just ran the room.
- 14:52Speaker 5: But oh my god, that's so cute.
- 14:56Speaker 1: That's just how she is. It's the same thing, like,
- 14:58Speaker 1: aren't you the same with dishes?
- 15:00Speaker 5: With dishes? I cannot. In fact, there are dishes in
- 15:04Speaker 5: the sink right now.
- 15:05Speaker 2: But I also only like the way I washed the dishes,
- 15:09Speaker 2: and I was stressed out about it yesterday, but I
- 15:11Speaker 2: just ran out of time in my day to fit.
- 15:14Speaker 2: It was like a mountain of dishes because I had
- 15:16Speaker 2: family in town, so we racked them up so I
- 15:19Speaker 2: got half of them done, but I realized I had
- 15:21Speaker 2: to go to bed, and it was stressing me out
- 15:23Speaker 2: because there are dishes in the sink.
- 15:25Speaker 5: And I don't like it. I don't know how people
- 15:27Speaker 5: live that way. If there are dishes in the sink,
- 15:29Speaker 5: you should not be relaxing. That's a crime.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Actually, the whole house is dirty. The whole house is dirty.
- 15:35Speaker 5: I can't be the only one that feels that way.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 15:40Speaker 1: What is something you gotta do before you even think
- 15:43Speaker 1: about beginning to relax or going to bed. I think
- 15:51Speaker 1: this question might be harder to answer than we would
- 15:54Speaker 1: care to admit, but it is a different time. In
- 15:56Speaker 1: twenty twenty six, when my wife and I were driving
- 16:00Speaker 1: to the frying Pan to have and I've told this
- 16:02Speaker 1: story before, but to have brunch with my cousin, my
- 16:04Speaker 1: aunt and uncle, we saw someone on the side of
- 16:06Speaker 1: the road and someone had pulled over to help. I mean,
- 16:09Speaker 1: maybe they knew them, maybe it was a relative, maybe
- 16:11Speaker 1: it was a random person. I don't know. So we
- 16:13Speaker 1: just kept on driving, and I sat there and thought,
- 16:16Speaker 1: am I a horrible person for just kind of continuing
- 16:19Speaker 1: on down the road. It looked like somebody had the
- 16:22Speaker 1: situation under control, So, you know, not my circus, not
- 16:25Speaker 1: my monkeys or whatever that's saying is okay.
- 16:27Speaker 2: But if someone was stranded and you didn't see that
- 16:31Speaker 2: someone else had pulled over, would you pull over the house?
- 16:34Speaker 1: See? I don't know, and I think there's a lot
- 16:37Speaker 1: of caveats to that question. And this is gonna sound terrible,
- 16:41Speaker 1: but if I see a dude stranded on the side
- 16:45Speaker 1: of the road by himself, his cars, smoking and he's
- 16:48Speaker 1: just kind of chilling, uh huh, I'll be honest with you,
- 16:52Speaker 1: I'm probably just gonna keep it moving. I'm not too
- 16:55Speaker 1: worried about this guy being in danger by himself. Yeah.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Is that terrible to think? Probably, but that is what
- 17:02Speaker 1: it is in twenty twenty six. Yeah, if there's a
- 17:04Speaker 1: young lady by herself, stranded on the side of the road,
- 17:07Speaker 1: her car smoking, and no one's helped, I would be
- 17:09Speaker 1: much more inclined to at the very least make sure
- 17:12Speaker 1: someone was on the way. Did she need help, does
- 17:15Speaker 1: she need me to call someone, does she need a
- 17:17Speaker 1: phone charge, or does she whatever? Yeah, but like it's
- 17:21Speaker 1: the same thing, Angie. You're driving and you don't know me,
- 17:23Speaker 1: you see me on the side of the road, Is
- 17:26Speaker 1: it really not? Do you care that much?
- 17:27Speaker 2: I think it's different for women. So if I'm driving
- 17:31Speaker 2: and I see a man stranded on the side of
- 17:34Speaker 2: the road, well, I guess you live there now, sir,
- 17:36Speaker 2: I'm not stopping. I think that it's more dangerous for women.
- 17:40Speaker 2: You know that statistically, not to really derailize, but women
- 17:46Speaker 2: are more likely to get murdered at gas stations after
- 17:50Speaker 2: the sun goes down than in any other location.
- 17:53Speaker 5: I know that that is a wild statistic.
- 17:56Speaker 2: But it's true, and it's just one of those things
- 17:58Speaker 2: where if we are women and we are driving and
- 18:01Speaker 2: we're by ourselves, it's stopping anywhere.
- 18:04Speaker 5: The risk for us to get hurt is higher.
- 18:08Speaker 2: And so especially if the sun's going down and I
- 18:11Speaker 2: see a man stranded on the side of the road,
- 18:13Speaker 2: absolutely not. It changes a little.
- 18:15Speaker 5: Bit if I'm with Mikey.
- 18:17Speaker 2: So if Mikey and I are in the car and
- 18:20Speaker 2: there's someone stranded and it's a dude, we're likely to stop.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Because Mikey is a nice guy, he's a kind man.
- 18:27Speaker 2: We're likely to stop. But I'm staying in the car
- 18:29Speaker 2: and he's going and checking. And then there was a
- 18:32Speaker 2: road trip that we had taken and we saw a
- 18:34Speaker 2: young woman who was stranded. She had a flat tire,
- 18:37Speaker 2: and Mikey and I pulled over, but Mikey stayed in
- 18:40Speaker 2: the car, and then I walked up and asked the
- 18:42Speaker 2: girl because it feels less threatening when it's another lady.
- 18:46Speaker 5: And then the man was way far away.
- 18:49Speaker 2: And obviously not all men whatever, but like it's dangerous,
- 18:53Speaker 2: it's dangerous. So as a woman, no, I will go
- 18:56Speaker 2: back to what you said about if you saw a
- 18:58Speaker 2: guy stranded and you wouldn't stop, Gabe, you're rip.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Well, I'm I'm sorry, Carl. I'm a lot less worried
- 19:05Speaker 1: about you, you know. So seven oh one two eight
- 19:08Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven. We did also ask this
- 19:11Speaker 1: question on Facebook, would you help a stranded motorist or
- 19:15Speaker 1: have movies ruined it for you? And it's very interesting.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I would like to think in our heart, we like
- 19:21Speaker 1: we are a kind person. We want to help out
- 19:24Speaker 1: when we can, But stopping for someone on the side
- 19:27Speaker 1: of the road, I think is a little bit tougher
- 19:29Speaker 1: to answer than we care to admit. We don't know
- 19:31Speaker 1: if this is a setup. We don't know if this
- 19:33Speaker 1: is a crap, And I think if you have.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Good intentions, I think that we are well intentioned people
- 19:39Speaker 2: who would want to help. But at the end of
- 19:41Speaker 2: the day, our safety has to come first.
- 19:44Speaker 1: You gotta put your own oxygen mask on first on
- 19:46Speaker 1: the plane. Yeah, Valerie says years ago she would have,
- 19:50Speaker 1: but now no, she wouldn't. We also had Ali who
- 19:55Speaker 1: said I watched too much crime crime on the ID channels,
- 20:00Speaker 1: so nope, but I would call dispatch.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Okay, see that there are ways to help without you
- 20:04Speaker 2: physically stopping this though, I liked that Sandra message. She said,
- 20:09Speaker 2: I won't help a stranded motorist, but i'd save someone
- 20:13Speaker 2: from a crash, And I think that's an important distinction.
- 20:16Speaker 5: Well, yeah, I think if it's a crash, yes, if
- 20:18Speaker 5: it's stranded, no.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I think that's very different, but also very important to
- 20:24Speaker 1: make this thinc to hear. We also had Amanda say
- 20:27Speaker 1: I'd help, but I'd be very cautious. No way, I'm
- 20:31Speaker 1: letting them in my call.
- 20:32Speaker 5: That makes sense.
- 20:33Speaker 1: And then I actually think this is kind of nice,
- 20:35Speaker 1: as Zach said, an elderly couple saved my life doing
- 20:39Speaker 1: that once. Yes, I'd be cautious about it, but still
- 20:41Speaker 1: would do it. And I don't know, that's so kind.
- 20:43Speaker 1: And I don't know if Zach means literally saved his
- 20:46Speaker 1: life or just like, oh, they saved my life. I
- 20:47Speaker 1: didn't have to walk three miles to the gas station.
- 20:50Speaker 1: So this is kind of an interesting conversation to have
- 20:53Speaker 1: with your hubby or maybe your kids. I know, you
- 20:56Speaker 1: definitely probably don't want your seventeen year old stopping to
- 20:59Speaker 1: help a random part person on the side of the road.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I know, if I'm with Corey and it's a young lady,
- 21:04Speaker 1: definitely gonna stop. I feel like it's a lot less
- 21:06Speaker 1: threatening than if I'm by myself. Yeah, I'm by myself.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I'll probably stop one hundred yards away, get a megaphone out,
- 21:13Speaker 1: and be like, are you all right? A pilot has
- 21:22Speaker 1: recommended you do not wear these on the plane? Can you?
- 21:27Speaker 1: Of course you can, but it's not recommended. And who
- 21:29Speaker 1: said not to wear white? And do not wear complicated
- 21:35Speaker 1: jump suits?
- 21:37Speaker 5: And wait, what's a complicated jumpsuit? I don't know.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Probably anything more than sweatpants and a hoodie.
- 21:43Speaker 5: Okay, Oh, like, well, like a romper situation.
- 21:47Speaker 2: I guess if you're going to the bathroom and you
- 21:49Speaker 2: have to get naked in the bathroom when you wear
- 21:51Speaker 2: a jumpsuit just to use.
- 21:53Speaker 1: It, yeah, that could be weird.
- 21:54Speaker 5: Yeah, especially in airplane bathrooms.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, thank you for bringing that up, because
- 22:01Speaker 2: you know, as the weather gets warmer or whatever.
- 22:03Speaker 5: I love a romper, But when you choose to wear
- 22:07Speaker 5: a romper and then you have.
- 22:08Speaker 1: To go pee, you are making a choice.
- 22:10Speaker 5: You're making a choice. I don't want to do that
- 22:12Speaker 5: on the plane.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Can I tell you what I wear on a plane
- 22:15Speaker 1: that most people will probably disagree with or find disgusting.
- 22:18Speaker 1: By the way, what do you wear if you have
- 22:19Speaker 1: to travel on the airbus seven oh one two eight
- 22:22Speaker 1: zero one nine eighty seven. I want you to picture this, Angie.
- 22:25Speaker 1: You're at Hector International Airport in a strolling along comes me. Okay,
- 22:33Speaker 1: I will be wearing these at the airport, and I
- 22:36Speaker 1: don't care what anyone says. I will wear sandals with socks. Okay,
- 22:41Speaker 1: I said what I said. Have no issue rocking the
- 22:46Speaker 1: sandals because A it's just convenient. It's super easy to
- 22:51Speaker 1: get through security when you got the sandals and socks on,
- 22:53Speaker 1: you just kind of well, you don't got to take
- 22:55Speaker 1: your shoes off.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Well, their slides, right, yeah, not like you're not a
- 22:59Speaker 2: ninja turnides.
- 23:02Speaker 1: And some people are like, oh great, now I get
- 23:04Speaker 1: to sit next to smelly feet Gabe on this plane
- 23:07Speaker 1: and I'm just trying to go to uh, Oklahoma or
- 23:11Speaker 1: wherever you're trying to go. Well, I don't care. And
- 23:14Speaker 1: first off, I will be wearing clean socks. Okay. I'm
- 23:17Speaker 1: not an I'm not an animal. I don't want I
- 23:19Speaker 1: don't want to be the smelly feet guy on the plane.
- 23:21Speaker 5: Okay.
- 23:22Speaker 2: I do also like slides with socks. I did do
- 23:26Speaker 2: that for a time, and as a fashion choice, absolutely not,
- 23:29Speaker 2: but as.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Getting on the plane thing. But good news, Gabe.
- 23:33Speaker 2: I don't know if you've flown recently, but you don't
- 23:36Speaker 2: have to take your shoes off anymore.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you're right, yeah, yeah, right, Well now you.
- 23:39Speaker 5: Can wear it. So now if you wear that, you
- 23:42Speaker 5: just have poor tastes.
- 23:43Speaker 1: I got poor taste, all right. These taste buds stink
- 23:46Speaker 1: seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 23:50Speaker 1: What do you wear when you have to travel on
- 23:52Speaker 1: a plane, Chelsea?
- 23:53Speaker 4: Oh, I need an oversized hoodie, some biker shorts and
- 23:57Speaker 4: a pair of speakers.
- 23:58Speaker 1: I need to feel like I could fall asleep at
- 24:00Speaker 1: any moment. There is something about you come for. I
- 24:02Speaker 1: think I'm gonna change this up. My goal in twenty
- 24:04Speaker 1: twenty what is it twenty twenty six is to I
- 24:07Speaker 1: will travel one of these days I'm going full suit.
- 24:10Speaker 1: I will commit to the bit that used to be
- 24:12Speaker 1: the thing. It used to be a thing. It was
- 24:14Speaker 1: like going out when you travel back in the day.
- 24:17Speaker 1: So I will be traveling on a plane in a
- 24:19Speaker 1: full suit twenty twenty six, mark my words.
- 24:24Speaker 5: I need some good.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Starting off the day with something good.
- 24:29Speaker 3: This is Gabe's good news on BID ninety eight point seven.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Today is Earth Day and some good news that proves
- 24:38Speaker 1: small actions really can add up across the country and
- 24:42Speaker 1: right here in the FM area. People are going to
- 24:44Speaker 1: be coming together today to clean up parks, plant trees,
- 24:47Speaker 1: take better care of the places that we call home.
- 24:50Speaker 1: From kids picking up trash at playgrounds to neighbors organizing
- 24:54Speaker 1: community cleanups, it's a bigger it's a biggerminder that you
- 24:57Speaker 1: don't have to do something huge to make a different today.
- 25:00Speaker 1: Even simple things recycling, using less plastic, or just getting
- 25:04Speaker 1: outside and appreciating nature can have a real impact when
- 25:07Speaker 1: enough people do them. So if you've been looking for
- 25:10Speaker 1: a sign to do something good today, this is it,
- 25:14Speaker 1: all right, because taking care of the earth doesn't have
- 25:16Speaker 1: to be complicated. It just has to start somewhere. So
- 25:20Speaker 1: if today you're on a walk with the dog, or
- 25:22Speaker 1: you're with the kids at the park and you see
- 25:24Speaker 1: a couple things in garbage, I'm not telling you you
- 25:26Speaker 1: got to put your hands in something gross, but maybe
- 25:28Speaker 1: find a way to throw it in the garbage. Yeah,
- 25:31Speaker 1: picking up off the ground. The world is full of
- 25:33Speaker 1: nice people. If you can't find one, you gotta be one.
- 25:36Speaker 1: And broken crayons they still color
