- 0:29Speaker 1: Welcome to Table Talk here at the Philadelphia Sports Table
- 0:32Speaker 1: podcast show, the longest running weekly Philly sports podcast show
- 0:35Speaker 1: in the world, twelve years strong. We've got a great
- 0:38Speaker 1: table talk interview coming your way this week from Broadstreet
- 0:42Speaker 1: Hockey dot Com, and she's putting a lot of great
- 0:46Speaker 1: content up over there, specifically about this Flyers team, some
- 0:49Speaker 1: prospects that we're going to be getting into this week,
- 0:52Speaker 1: as well as the NHL Draft that's right around the corner.
- 0:55Speaker 1: We've got our good friend Mattie Campbell. How are you doing, Maddie,
- 0:58Speaker 1: I'm great.
- 0:58Speaker 2: How are you?
- 0:59Speaker 1: I'm all right. I'm so excited about this upcoming NHL Draft,
- 1:02Speaker 1: We're certainly going to be getting into it, and just
- 1:05Speaker 1: where this Flyers team is right now. Like there's always
- 1:08Speaker 1: a lot of uncertainty with this team, and there has
- 1:11Speaker 1: been for years and years and years, but I'm feeling
- 1:14Speaker 1: like at this point in time that things are come
- 1:16Speaker 1: in full circle. I think that Danny Brier and his
- 1:19Speaker 1: leadership have done wonders for where this organization not only
- 1:23Speaker 1: is now, but where they're going to be going in
- 1:24Speaker 1: the future. So I have high hopes for the future. Maddie,
- 1:27Speaker 1: I'm not sure what you're thinking here.
- 1:29Speaker 2: No, I feel really optimistic, which like is kind of
- 1:33Speaker 2: it feels weird, right, it does. Things have been sort
- 1:36Speaker 2: of weird and messy for so long that it's like, oh,
- 1:38Speaker 2: they seem like they're going, well, I don't really know
- 1:40Speaker 2: what to do with that.
- 1:41Speaker 1: But because there's a plan, Yeah, there's a plan of action.
- 1:45Speaker 1: It seems like that is happening here, you know, not
- 1:47Speaker 1: just with you know, free agents and the various trades,
- 1:51Speaker 1: and you know, I've talked to some other folks on
- 1:53Speaker 1: the show about how a lot of the moves that
- 1:56Speaker 1: Danny Brierre has made in general have been the quote
- 1:58Speaker 1: easy type of move, and yes, we need to keep
- 2:02Speaker 1: that in mind. But again, I still think there is
- 2:04Speaker 1: a plan of action moving forward that we really didn't
- 2:06Speaker 1: see with the Chuck Fletcher regime, and you know, whether
- 2:09Speaker 1: it was the regimes prior to that, with prospects either
- 2:12Speaker 1: not working out drafts not necessarily the best drafts. There
- 2:16Speaker 1: is direction here. So let's get into one of the
- 2:19Speaker 1: first storylines that I wanted to dive into with you here, Maddie,
- 2:22Speaker 1: and it deals with Tyson Forster and the fact that
- 2:25Speaker 1: he's got a new deal here and they went short
- 2:29Speaker 1: term with this deal here kind of a you know,
- 2:31Speaker 1: bridge framework. It's a two year deal seven point five
- 2:35Speaker 1: million dollars. He's twenty three years old, scored twenty five
- 2:39Speaker 1: goals last year after scoring twenty as a rookie. So
- 2:43Speaker 1: to get us started off here before we get into
- 2:45Speaker 1: the draft, before we get into some prospects here, what
- 2:47Speaker 1: are your thoughts on the new Tyson Forster deal and
- 2:50Speaker 1: really what it means for the team.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I'm really into it.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I think going I mean, listen, I'm a big fan
- 2:57Speaker 2: of the player, so if they had locked him up
- 2:58Speaker 2: long term, I certainly would not have been mad about it.
- 3:01Speaker 2: But I think going the bridge route makes a lot
- 3:04Speaker 2: of sense for both sides. Like Forrester betting on himself,
- 3:08Speaker 2: I think he's just going to keep getting better. He's
- 3:10Speaker 2: still in sort of the figuring it out phase of
- 3:13Speaker 2: his development. So you know, if he really pops off
- 3:18Speaker 2: and earns himself a big pay raise.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Good for him.
- 3:23Speaker 2: And you know, it's not like the Flyers are going
- 3:25Speaker 2: to be it looks like, really pressed for cash, so
- 3:31Speaker 2: they're in a position where they're able to work with that.
- 3:35Speaker 2: And I mean, in the meantime, this does give them
- 3:39Speaker 2: some flexibility to make some additions in the short term.
- 3:43Speaker 2: They've got some money to spend because they're not spending
- 3:45Speaker 2: a whole lot on Forster. So yeah, At the same time,
- 3:49Speaker 2: even though I just said I would not have hated
- 3:52Speaker 2: if they went long term, I think it does make
- 3:54Speaker 2: sense from the organization side. You know that they're not
- 3:59Speaker 2: immediately tying themselves to a young player who they're still
- 4:03Speaker 2: kind of figuring out for a bajillion years and then
- 4:07Speaker 2: like having to figure it out if it goes south,
- 4:09Speaker 2: which I think it's a smart plan.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's a smart plan. Again, we're talking
- 4:13Speaker 1: about the fact that Danny Breer air in the front office,
- 4:14Speaker 1: I actually seem to have a plan of action right here.
- 4:17Speaker 1: This is part of the part of the plan. Let's
- 4:20Speaker 1: not just completely hedge our bets. Give him the long
- 4:23Speaker 1: term deal, the eight year deal or whatever it was
- 4:25Speaker 1: going to be. You know, they were talking about a
- 4:26Speaker 1: long term deal. You know, let's do this bridge deal
- 4:29Speaker 1: and see where he's at in another year or even two,
- 4:32Speaker 1: to possibly extend him at some point down the road.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Maybe not, depending on what happens. You never know what's
- 4:37Speaker 1: going to happen. But I think it's a good responsible
- 4:40Speaker 1: contract for where this organization is right now, and you
- 4:43Speaker 1: know where they want him to develop and what he
- 4:46Speaker 1: might be able to give this team. But moving along here, Maddie,
- 4:51Speaker 1: I really want to start getting into the upcoming draft
- 4:53Speaker 1: and what we may expect, because again it is like
- 4:57Speaker 1: this draft and what this team is going to need
- 4:59Speaker 1: to do for the future. We certainly are going to
- 5:02Speaker 1: we certainly as fans, are going to be looking at
- 5:04Speaker 1: certain positions. So instead of like getting right into the
- 5:07Speaker 1: actual talent, because I'm going to ask you about that
- 5:10Speaker 1: in just a second, in terms of the positions, we
- 5:14Speaker 1: know the center position is right at the top of
- 5:16Speaker 1: the list. Likely in terms of this draft, also, getting
- 5:19Speaker 1: maybe a high level defenceman prospect would be a good
- 5:22Speaker 1: idea too. So when you're looking at and dissecting what
- 5:26Speaker 1: this number six overall pick might actually be in terms
- 5:30Speaker 1: of the position, what are you hoping the Philadelphia Flyers
- 5:32Speaker 1: are going to do with it?
- 5:35Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 5:35Speaker 2: I think for me, getting a high end forward, particularly
- 5:39Speaker 2: a center with that first pick is the big need.
- 5:43Speaker 2: And I mean it looks like it's going to kind
- 5:44Speaker 2: of break that way if looking at how the rankings
- 5:48Speaker 2: are falling. So far, it looks like it's a larger
- 5:52Speaker 2: group of forwards at the top of the class, So
- 5:54Speaker 2: I think that works out nicely. Yeah, that's the big
- 5:58Speaker 2: need for me, I would say, I.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And you know, I do know that they do need
- 6:02Speaker 1: a high level defenceman too, you know, and there have
- 6:04Speaker 1: been you know, I've seen some mocks here and there
- 6:06Speaker 1: that put some defenceman up there. I necessarily wouldn't be
- 6:10Speaker 1: very happy, to be honest with you. However, like you said,
- 6:13Speaker 1: like from the center position standpoint, I really think that's
- 6:15Speaker 1: what it needs to be. And I think that if
- 6:17Speaker 1: it is, Flyers Nation is going to be really happy
- 6:20Speaker 1: with Danny Brier.
- 6:21Speaker 3: That's what I definitely.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Yeah, right, I mean, hey, if they need to package
- 6:26Speaker 2: some picks, they if they fall in love with a
- 6:28Speaker 2: defenseman somewhere in like the middle of the first round, yea,
- 6:31Speaker 2: and they want to move up, They've got the pieces
- 6:33Speaker 2: to make that happen.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Absolutely. I'm glad you mentioned that too, because I think
- 6:36Speaker 1: a lot of us were just talking about the number
- 6:38Speaker 1: six overall pick, but we also need to realize they
- 6:41Speaker 1: have two other picks in the first round as well. Yes,
- 6:43Speaker 1: towards the back part of the first round. But still
- 6:46Speaker 1: it's it's it's insurance. You know, they are assets for
- 6:50Speaker 1: Danny Breer and company to use if they need to.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So let's get into some of these potential prospects and
- 6:56Speaker 1: who they might actually draft. When we look at this
- 6:59Speaker 1: talent here, you know there are gonna be players who
- 7:02Speaker 1: can definitely, I think, help this team in the future.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I know you've looked at this probably a little closer.
- 7:07Speaker 1: You've looked at a lot of these prospects on the ice. Personally.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I like Michael Misa, the center winger talent. He's he's
- 7:16Speaker 1: fantastic if they could possibly get on. Oh my god,
- 7:19Speaker 1: Caleb Denoye's I'm probably messing it. Denoy yass. Oh of
- 7:28Speaker 1: course I'm putting the essen there. I'm gonna hear it
- 7:31Speaker 1: now from folks, okay, because I mispronounce everything anyway, I know,
- 7:37Speaker 1: I know. But he is a center and his brother
- 7:41Speaker 1: Elliott is on the Flyers, somebody who the Flyers could
- 7:44Speaker 1: also be looking at as well. You know, let's get
- 7:46Speaker 1: the brothers together here. That's what I say. Who do
- 7:49Speaker 1: you like and hope that they are going to be
- 7:50Speaker 1: able to draft at number six overall? If you had
- 7:53Speaker 1: it your way, Maddie, who would that be?
- 7:56Speaker 2: I mean, my dream scenario is James Hagen's okay to them.
- 8:01Speaker 2: I don't know that I feel confident that that's going
- 8:03Speaker 2: to happen. It seems like such a weird mishmash through
- 8:06Speaker 2: the top five, but I think certainly addresses the need
- 8:11Speaker 2: for centers, and I just think he would be a
- 8:13Speaker 2: good fit stylistically for the rest of the group that
- 8:17Speaker 2: they're building there. Whether that shakes out, we'll see, But yeah,
- 8:22Speaker 2: I mean, and then the other names I think we're
- 8:24Speaker 2: hearing a lot of right now are de Noyer and Martin.
- 8:28Speaker 2: I could talk myself into either of them. I have
- 8:31Speaker 2: some question marks with both of them as well, But.
- 8:34Speaker 1: What are the question marks if you don't mind me asking,
- 8:36Speaker 1: like just just to get into some detailed analysis of
- 8:39Speaker 1: those question marks of why you might be a little hesitant.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I think with Denie, for starters, there's a lot
- 8:48Speaker 2: that he does really well in his game, And I
- 8:49Speaker 2: don't want to sound like I'm completely down on him,
- 8:52Speaker 2: but from what I've seen, like it's enough instances where
- 8:57Speaker 2: he's a sort of crafty at times oportunistic player, which
- 9:01Speaker 2: are good things, but like I sort of wonder is
- 9:05Speaker 2: he going to be able to pull that off to
- 9:07Speaker 2: the same high degree outside of the QMJHL.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Right, hopefully the team feels more confident about that. But yeah,
- 9:18Speaker 2: so it's like, you know, with that question, I'm like,
- 9:21Speaker 2: do I want to spend my sixth over I'll pick
- 9:23Speaker 2: on that?
- 9:24Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 9:26Speaker 2: And then with Martin looking at him is like, I think,
- 9:31Speaker 2: looking at his puck skills and the sort of defensive
- 9:33Speaker 2: side of his game, I see more of a winger
- 9:36Speaker 2: over the long term. And then it's like, if there
- 9:38Speaker 2: are other centers available, do I want to lean that way?
- 9:42Speaker 2: If I'm looking for a winger, Like, do I want
- 9:45Speaker 2: somebody who's a little bit higher skilled with that high pick?
- 9:49Speaker 2: That's more of like a sort of personal preference stylistic thing.
- 9:53Speaker 2: But you know, something to think.
- 9:55Speaker 1: About, something to think about for sure. All right again, folks,
- 9:58Speaker 1: we are talking to Maddie cam Madeline Campbell over at
- 10:01Speaker 1: broad Street Hockey dot Com. Hey, let everybody know out there, Maddie,
- 10:05Speaker 1: where they can find you on the interwebs and where
- 10:07Speaker 1: they may want to, where they may want to follow
- 10:09Speaker 1: you on social Let let everybody know.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I'm like technically on socials, I'm like barely using them
- 10:15Speaker 2: these days though, I feel it's just too.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Much going on.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I'm there, but I'm on Twitter and Blue Sky still okay,
- 10:24Speaker 2: just Maddeline Campbell, but mostly like pop over to Broadstreet
- 10:27Speaker 2: Hockey dot Com.
- 10:28Speaker 3: That's where you'll get the actual good.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Content exactly, folks. I'm a five dollars subscriber over there
- 10:33Speaker 1: and have been for some time, and there's some great, great,
- 10:36Speaker 1: fantastic content that you can get that Maddie and her
- 10:39Speaker 1: colleagues over there are putting up. Have a lot of
- 10:42Speaker 1: folks from Broadstreet Hockey dot Com jumping on this podcast
- 10:45Speaker 1: to give some really really good analysis about this Philadelphia
- 10:49Speaker 1: Flyers team and other hockey news and notes as well.
- 10:53Speaker 1: So make sure you check out again Broadstreet Hockey dot
- 10:56Speaker 1: Com if you haven't already, great great stuff over there.
- 11:00Speaker 1: As we're moving along here, Maddie, you know, I've asked
- 11:03Speaker 1: this of a couple guests when we're talking Flyers, and
- 11:07Speaker 1: I wanted to get your thoughts as well, because this
- 11:10Speaker 1: is such an important draft that we're going to be
- 11:13Speaker 1: witnessing in just a short period of time here because
- 11:16Speaker 1: of where they're at in terms of really trying to
- 11:18Speaker 1: turn that corner, that very interesting plan of action that
- 11:22Speaker 1: we were talking about at the top. When it's all
- 11:25Speaker 1: said and done, what are you hoping the theme of
- 11:28Speaker 1: this Flyer's draft will be, say, like the day after
- 11:31Speaker 1: or the week after, when we're analyzing these draft picks,
- 11:34Speaker 1: what are you hoping the theme will be for this
- 11:36Speaker 1: team an organization?
- 11:38Speaker 3: That's a great question.
- 11:40Speaker 2: I think this is a little bit lizard brained, but
- 11:42Speaker 2: I just want fun picks.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Yes, Okay, that's fair.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Maybe the better way to say that is I would
- 11:49Speaker 2: like to see them make some calculated swings, uh huh.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Like I look at the Lutanko pick from last year,
- 11:55Speaker 2: where in the moment we're sort of like, oh.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Yeah, we were lucky. What's going on here? Yeah?
- 12:00Speaker 3: Interesting?
- 12:01Speaker 2: But the more you see in play and with particularly
- 12:05Speaker 2: with you know, players already in the organization, you see
- 12:08Speaker 2: the fit and it makes a lot more sense. I
- 12:12Speaker 2: would like to see some more picks in that vein
- 12:16Speaker 2: this time around, because, like we said, they certainly have
- 12:20Speaker 2: a surplus of picks to play around with. They can
- 12:23Speaker 2: get a little weird with at least some of them,
- 12:26Speaker 2: So I think that would be good, especially like taking
- 12:31Speaker 2: those swings and hitting on them is what takes you
- 12:35Speaker 2: from the level of being a good drafter to a
- 12:37Speaker 2: great drafter, and I think that's what they need to
- 12:40Speaker 2: at least start moving towards as they're pushing into the
- 12:43Speaker 2: next phase of their rebuild.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Yeah, do you find I'm just wondering just it's a
- 12:48Speaker 1: question that just popped into my head. I don't want
- 12:50Speaker 1: to talk about like the Chuck Fletcher era because I
- 12:52Speaker 1: didn't I don't think there was a lot of serious discussion. Well,
- 12:57Speaker 1: I shouldn't say that there's not a lot of seriousness
- 13:00Speaker 1: in terms of the plan. Like we were initially talking
- 13:01Speaker 1: about Danny Brier's plan here, and even Ron Hextall, I
- 13:05Speaker 1: believe had a plan. And while some of the draft
- 13:07Speaker 1: picks didn't necessarily work out and the prospects didn't work
- 13:10Speaker 1: out the way that we wanted, there was a plan
- 13:13Speaker 1: and I think at times there was that swing at
- 13:17Speaker 1: a prospect and see what happens, you know, throw some
- 13:19Speaker 1: stuff against the wall, see what happens. And I think
- 13:22Speaker 1: it was done in a calculated way with the Hextall era.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Are you thinking that we should see something like that
- 13:28Speaker 1: with the Danny Brier eram not talking about the end
- 13:31Speaker 1: and conclusion of what happened with the Hextall era is
- 13:35Speaker 1: what we want to see with the Brier era. But
- 13:38Speaker 1: is that what you're hoping to see a little bit,
- 13:39Speaker 1: Let's throw some prospects against the wall and see if
- 13:41Speaker 1: they work out.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Definitely, and especially now that it seems like they're sort
- 13:46Speaker 2: of maybe not overhauling, but they're making some changes to
- 13:49Speaker 2: their development infrastructure, because that's the other piece of that,
- 13:53Speaker 2: Like you could make a great pick, but then if
- 13:54Speaker 2: you get them in the organization and just you can't
- 13:57Speaker 2: develop them with your.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Staff, yep, yeah, out of luck.
- 14:01Speaker 2: It seems like they're trying to move some pieces around
- 14:05Speaker 2: fix that area as well. So again, because it seems
- 14:11Speaker 2: like they have a plan and are trying to get
- 14:13Speaker 2: things moving in the right direction, I'm a little more
- 14:15Speaker 2: confident that they can take some step forward on the
- 14:19Speaker 2: developmental side as well. So that makes me feel better
- 14:22Speaker 2: about the idea of them potentially taking some swings on
- 14:25Speaker 2: these picks.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Yeahely, it absolutely does make sense because I think you
- 14:30Speaker 1: know right now, like that's what we're clamoring for as fans.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I really do like we're getting ready to turn that corner,
- 14:35Speaker 1: and I think, I think we're going to see some
- 14:38Speaker 1: good stuff. So before I let you go, I wanted
- 14:41Speaker 1: to dive into some prospects with you, Maddie, because you've
- 14:43Speaker 1: done some really great writing over at Broadstreet Hockey dot
- 14:46Speaker 1: Com on a lot of a lot of these prospects
- 14:49Speaker 1: as of late. First and foremost, you wrote a really
- 14:53Speaker 1: good piece about Helgay Grands, who just spent his second
- 14:57Speaker 1: season with the Phantoms and the developing as he is
- 15:01Speaker 1: out on the ice game after game and as you
- 15:04Speaker 1: cover and analyze what's happening with a bunch of these
- 15:07Speaker 1: flyers prospects. Where is Hellge Grands right now with his
- 15:12Speaker 1: development and might he be on track to be more
- 15:15Speaker 1: of a contributor at the big club at some point
- 15:18Speaker 1: down the road. What are your thoughts here?
- 15:20Speaker 2: Yeah, he's definitely been an interesting one. I think it's
- 15:24Speaker 2: definitely still a work in progress for him. But this
- 15:26Speaker 2: is the first year I think that we've really seen
- 15:29Speaker 2: him starting to put it together, and I think it's
- 15:33Speaker 2: good to remind ourselves like this was his fourth year
- 15:36Speaker 2: in the AHL, but he's still.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Yeah, he just turned twenty three.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, he came over so young and it really
- 15:43Speaker 2: took a while for him to get adjusted to the league,
- 15:46Speaker 2: which is totally understandable.
- 15:48Speaker 3: But now it seems like he's a lot more confident.
- 15:51Speaker 2: We're starting to see some offense coming into his game,
- 15:55Speaker 2: which has been nice. The work in the defensive zone
- 15:59Speaker 2: is a bit of a work progress as well. I
- 16:01Speaker 2: think some of that might also be systems based. Okay,
- 16:05Speaker 2: with the Fantoms, it's like, not.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Been great, but we'll see where things go next year.
- 16:09Speaker 2: But yeah, I think he took a big step forward
- 16:12Speaker 2: this year and that's been huge because end of last
- 16:17Speaker 2: year was like, Okay, he was fine, but not great.
- 16:19Speaker 2: And now as this guy who we just sort of
- 16:22Speaker 2: got as a throw in in a trade, like is
- 16:24Speaker 2: he playing himself out of another organization here? Like what's
- 16:28Speaker 2: going on now? He's looking like a guy who could
- 16:31Speaker 2: legitimately be pushing for at least a depth role with
- 16:34Speaker 2: the NHL team in not too long, especially with the
- 16:39Speaker 2: wrinkle of the wrist of line.
- 16:40Speaker 3: In injury situation.
- 16:42Speaker 2: We'll see what happens come training camp there, but I
- 16:44Speaker 2: think he's got himself in a really good position heading
- 16:47Speaker 2: into this next season.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Glad you brought up the wrist of line and injury
- 16:50Speaker 1: and what that means as a potential impact for you know,
- 16:53Speaker 1: some of some of these developmental players, because it could
- 16:56Speaker 1: really mean something in the future. But let's move on
- 16:59Speaker 1: to another gentleman who I'm going to end up watching.
- 17:02Speaker 1: His name right here, Jacob Gautier Gauchier ge Gache. See
- 17:10Speaker 1: it's constant, folks. Everybody knows well with Jacob here in
- 17:15Speaker 1: what he has done with the Phantoms, playing so well
- 17:18Speaker 1: for them that he earned himself an entry level contract
- 17:21Speaker 1: with the Flyers. So, Maddie, can you tell us what
- 17:24Speaker 1: we should be liking about him as a prospect within
- 17:28Speaker 1: the pipeline and where his trajectory may be going.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, he's been steadily building his game up
- 17:35Speaker 2: in a really impressive way. He's always had the defensive
- 17:39Speaker 2: side pretty well locked down, but he came into last
- 17:43Speaker 2: season like with a total mindset shift, Like he's like,
- 17:47Speaker 2: you know, I can still make plays with the puck.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I can bring some offense without sacrificing the defense, which
- 17:53Speaker 2: has been huge in sort of unlocking a new level
- 17:56Speaker 2: of his game. And he's found a role at the
- 17:59Speaker 2: top of the Phantom's line lineup and turned himself into
- 18:01Speaker 2: a guy who can pretty much do everything at that league.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Level.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Now I have some questions about the NHL ceiling. I
- 18:12Speaker 2: think there's a lack of foot speed there that I think,
- 18:15Speaker 2: over a longer span of games would hold him back
- 18:19Speaker 2: at that level. But you know, he's got things trending
- 18:22Speaker 2: in a really nice direction where you know he could
- 18:25Speaker 2: get himself to a point of being a sort of
- 18:28Speaker 2: more dependable short term call up option, which is really
- 18:33Speaker 2: valuable in an organization which is pretty starved for centers
- 18:36Speaker 2: yep particularly.
- 18:37Speaker 1: So it's one of the reasons why I asked is
- 18:40Speaker 1: so yes, very important to notice we're moving forward here
- 18:45Speaker 1: and again everybody, we are talking to Maddy Campbell from

- 19:29Speaker 1: we're closing things out here, Maddie, it's a very general question,
- 19:34Speaker 1: but I'd love to know as we conclude the prospects
- 19:37Speaker 1: talk here, really, who's been one of your favorite prospects
- 19:41Speaker 1: to watch and follow within this Flyers farm system And
- 19:44Speaker 1: you know, perhaps if it's at Lehigh Valley, who has
- 19:48Speaker 1: that been for you?
- 19:49Speaker 2: Yeah, sticking just with the fanos because I've gotten a
- 19:52Speaker 2: lot of in person viewings of them this year, which
- 19:56Speaker 2: has been awesome, but kind of it under the radar guy.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I have been loving Alexi Gendron's game. Yeah, you know,
- 20:07Speaker 2: he's been so impressive for them this season. He hit
- 20:10Speaker 2: twenty goals as a rookie, which hasn't happened in a
- 20:13Speaker 2: few years for them, and he's just like, he's fun,
- 20:18Speaker 2: he's speedy, he's undersized but not afraid to get to
- 20:21Speaker 2: the hard areas of the ice.
- 20:23Speaker 3: And he's just a guy who can make things happen
- 20:26Speaker 3: with the puck.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Yep full stop.
- 20:29Speaker 2: The Phantoms were sort of short on game breakers on
- 20:32Speaker 2: their roster this year, but he was definitely one of them.
- 20:37Speaker 2: He's been so so fun and I mean for a
- 20:41Speaker 2: former seventh round pick, he's gotten to a point where
- 20:44Speaker 2: he looks like he might legitimately be something. I've been
- 20:48Speaker 2: so impressed by him and I will never stop talking
- 20:50Speaker 2: him up.
- 20:51Speaker 3: He's been great.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Well, that is a great way to end our Table
