- 0:55Speaker 1: it doesn't pinch, and it has that nice smoothing back
- 0:58Speaker 1: panel where everything lays flat, no bumps. And talk about

- 2:36Speaker 1: Hello, I can't believe that we are doing the third
- 2:41Speaker 1: part of Summer House. Welcome in, Deanna Chang, welcome in.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Thank you Amy. You know it's we've been through so.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Much and you know what, it's not over yet because
- 2:54Speaker 1: I don't know if you saw this, but there will
- 2:56Speaker 1: in fact, next week, next Tuesday, there will be a
- 3:00Speaker 1: bonus episode of Summerhouse. It will be called Summer House
- 3:05Speaker 1: The Aftermath. Did you see any little snippets?
- 3:09Speaker 2: Okay, I did see the aftermath snippets, and immediately I
- 3:14Speaker 2: didn't know what time frame we were in, and that
- 3:17Speaker 2: threw me off.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Oh yeah, because immediately I was thinking, well, here we
- 3:22Speaker 1: have West saying I love her. I've always loved her.
- 3:27Speaker 1: And then at the reunion, he's like, they're like, we're
- 3:30Speaker 1: not using that word now, We're we're it's too Oh
- 3:34Speaker 1: it's too early. It's too early, Is it right? Or
- 3:37Speaker 1: is it just been proud in a long time. I
- 3:40Speaker 1: mean we're talking through fall into the winter months into spring.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I don't think it's too early. Quite frankly, I wish
- 3:48Speaker 1: you would have said it. So, yeah, a lot of questions,
- 3:50Speaker 1: they're yes, so bizarre and bizarre. We are like, here's
- 3:56Speaker 1: the thing, Deanna.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, get me together, right. I'm not even sure
- 4:02Speaker 2: what I feel at this moment. I can't. I'm trying
- 4:07Speaker 2: to figure myself. Like Amanda's going to sit and think
- 4:10Speaker 2: about herself. I'm gonna think about myself and what do
- 4:14Speaker 2: I feel.
- 4:15Speaker 1: So you basically you're telling me you walked away from
- 4:18Speaker 1: this reunion like Amanda and West. Mostly Amanda committed to
- 4:23Speaker 1: thinking about just anything. Really, it was pretty nebulous. Actually,
- 4:28Speaker 1: you're vague if you will.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Well, the one thing she said quite clearly is the
- 4:32Speaker 2: word me. Oh, she's going to think about herself.
- 4:37Speaker 1: She got a lot to sort of. Well, I think
- 4:39Speaker 1: she's done enough thinking, so maybe that's not the best idea.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Welcome in, Darlings. So happy you're here. Dean and I
- 4:49Speaker 1: are doing a just hot off the heels recap. So
- 4:53Speaker 1: we literally just turned off our screens, TVs, whatever it
- 4:57Speaker 1: is that we watched it on, and we jumped over
- 4:59Speaker 1: here in our navy blues. We are team I guess
- 5:05Speaker 1: we don't know, I guess we are team Summer House
- 5:08Speaker 1: sans West and Amanda because they are feeling they are
- 5:13Speaker 1: feeling something. And I mean it's not that I'm like
- 5:18Speaker 1: laughing at it. In fact, I was very touched, but
- 5:21Speaker 1: just there is Yeah, there's just he's so endearing that
- 5:25Speaker 1: it does make you giggle that he's just sitting there
- 5:27Speaker 1: with tears on his face the entire third half of
- 5:32Speaker 1: this third part of this reunion.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Mike, let's wipe someone's like a tissue, you know. I mean,
- 5:38Speaker 2: it's time to just blot at this.
- 5:41Speaker 1: It's giving Erica Jane when yeah, it's giving Erica Jane
- 5:45Speaker 1: all the way. She doesn't she doesn't dab So is
- 5:49Speaker 1: that just a thing some people just aren't dabbers. They
- 5:51Speaker 1: just they just are fine with tears on their face.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Because I'm not that person.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Well, I think especially when you want to make sure
- 5:59Speaker 2: the cameras have gotten you and that you've because that's
- 6:03Speaker 2: the thing about this this episode that was brought in
- 6:06Speaker 2: to the picture. The fourth wall was coming down and
- 6:12Speaker 2: we were dancing around like you don't care about this
- 6:16Speaker 2: program that we're on, oh right, that we make money from. Yeah,
- 6:22Speaker 2: and like I'm crying because in the program that I'm on.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Oh you're my guy, and I don't know who I
- 6:31Speaker 2: am without you or a too hand er Deanna, here
- 6:36Speaker 2: you are.
- 6:37Speaker 1: You sat down across from me and you said, I
- 6:39Speaker 1: don't know where I am and here and here I'm
- 6:41Speaker 1: getting taught. Because I didn't. That didn't even become clear
- 6:45Speaker 1: to me. And you're right, because I wasn't looking past
- 6:49Speaker 1: friendships because beyond that, it is bigger than that. They
- 6:53Speaker 1: have chemistry. They've got this huge show. I mean, it
- 6:56Speaker 1: was the weston Jesse phenomenon that I've been so jazzed
- 7:01Speaker 1: about since they started, because they've got such a fun
- 7:05Speaker 1: they had such a fun rapport and it just gave
- 7:09Speaker 1: so much more new life to Summer House. In fact,
- 7:12Speaker 1: so much so that I was I took my own
- 7:14Speaker 1: gender for granted, and I was like, the ladies need
- 7:17Speaker 1: to come into this house and they need to bring
- 7:19Speaker 1: what kind of you know, brohood that Jesse and West
- 7:24Speaker 1: are bringing. And I'm not seeing that from the ladies,
- 7:27Speaker 1: and shame on me because we have a sociopath. But oh,
- 7:32Speaker 1: here's what I wanted to say. From the top, it
- 7:35Speaker 1: became clear to me as Kyle, who had a lot
- 7:41Speaker 1: of good points and incredible points, meaningful moments. And he said,
- 7:47Speaker 1: you've isolated her, You've left her on an island. You
- 7:52Speaker 1: knew she was vulnerable, you know, just all this stuff
- 7:55Speaker 1: aside with him being friends with Kyle. He took her
- 8:01Speaker 1: and he just kind of kept her away, and I go,
- 8:03Speaker 1: oh my god, he's right. Isolation. What happens? Where do
- 8:07Speaker 1: you get isolated in cults? Cults do that? West is
- 8:11Speaker 1: a cult leader. Let me read you the definition of
- 8:14Speaker 1: a cult leader. Here we go.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Cult leaders are typically malignant, narcissists and manipulators who use
- 8:23Speaker 1: polarizing charisma and coercive control to demand unquestioning obedience. They
- 8:31Speaker 1: isolate followers from support systems and exploit them for financial
- 8:36Speaker 1: gain or sexual power, masking a fragile ego with a
- 8:41Speaker 1: grandiose with grandiose delusions and a lack of empathy. And
- 8:47Speaker 1: I think that the lack of empathy wasn't just because
- 8:49Speaker 1: of the beta blockers. It truly, I don't believe is there.
- 8:54Speaker 2: It doesn't have it, No, it doesn't have it. We've
- 8:57Speaker 2: seen too many examples of like actually with this Mihak.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Girl, you know, oh god, that hurt.
- 9:05Speaker 2: That was That was a gotcha yeah, and little fast
- 9:11Speaker 2: and gotcha.
- 9:12Speaker 1: He actually surprisingly said the truth yep, which was the
- 9:20Speaker 1: gotcha yep. And maybe do you think that he knew
- 9:24Speaker 1: he was outing himself because do you think in his
- 9:27Speaker 1: world he was thinking, well, that's the excuse I always
- 9:30Speaker 1: give everybody, which is the woman thinks it always thinks
- 9:35Speaker 1: it's more than what it really is. And I never
- 9:37Speaker 1: actually said that, but by him saying, well, she thought
- 9:41Speaker 1: we were exclusive, do you think that he thought he
- 9:44Speaker 1: was going to be able to get away with it
- 9:46Speaker 1: this time because everyone was right on him.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I think that was it. I think he had not
- 9:52Speaker 2: settled anything up until that part of the show of
- 9:55Speaker 2: the three part series, so we were finally hearing his words,
- 10:01Speaker 2: and I think he has Amanda next to him. They've
- 10:04Speaker 2: done some sort of very light dusting of a timeline
- 10:10Speaker 2: and a plan. Their plan was like over one macha
- 10:15Speaker 2: and it was in bed and they just didn't have
- 10:19Speaker 2: any a PowerPoint presentation, a pr person. There was nothing,
- 10:25Speaker 2: you know, it was a couple of three to four
- 10:27Speaker 2: bullet points that they were holding on too with dear life.
- 10:31Speaker 2: So I think that he had hurt next to him
- 10:34Speaker 2: and he doesn't want her to know that he was
- 10:37Speaker 2: in a full blown relationship, like with a girl who
- 10:41Speaker 2: thought she was in a full blown relationship, and he
- 10:43Speaker 2: knew he wasn't right. You know, I don't think he
- 10:47Speaker 2: ever told Amanda.
- 10:48Speaker 1: That that's right. That was a shocker.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Actually, yeah, he got tripped up in that and it
- 10:56Speaker 2: just revealed itself, you know. I think that's what happened.
- 11:00Speaker 1: That he that Essentially everyone was like, that is a
- 11:05Speaker 1: relationship like that is a girlfriend.
- 11:10Speaker 2: From like the couch from behind everybody.
- 11:14Speaker 1: That is a relationship that is called a religion ship,
- 11:20Speaker 1: is it, Dick, Yeah, he lives in that is that
- 11:26Speaker 1: is I mean yeah, they all think and him saying
- 11:30Speaker 1: that he loved her over and over again. We also
- 11:33Speaker 1: saw her on FaceTime on the break That's where we
- 11:35Speaker 1: actually picked up in this episode with Sierra talking to
- 11:39Speaker 1: her and she was like, as we saw even from
- 11:41Speaker 1: a little bit last week. He was telling her, no,
- 11:44Speaker 1: you can't put her on the show. That would cause issues,
- 11:46Speaker 1: and and you know it's just everything is hide hiding
- 11:49Speaker 1: in secrecy and isolation. Let me just keep this this
- 11:55Speaker 1: subject over here in my apartment while I'm over here
- 11:59Speaker 1: sewing this seeds of whatever it is that I want
- 12:02Speaker 1: to do on Summerhouse. And this is a great excuse
- 12:04Speaker 1: because it's a job. Now, let me ask you this,
- 12:08Speaker 1: Miha said, can you imagine my surprise when he's talking
- 12:13Speaker 1: about how as he would not want to bring me
- 12:16Speaker 1: on as a girlfriend because I would be exposed and
- 12:19Speaker 1: that would cause other issues. And then to all of
- 12:22Speaker 1: a sudden, wake up one day and now he's with Amanda.
- 12:26Speaker 1: So that made me think, Okay, well, the timeline here
- 12:29Speaker 1: is really weird because she's talking about being with him
- 12:33Speaker 1: all the way during the summer and then she's saying
- 12:36Speaker 1: the next thing, I know, he's with Amanda. So when
- 12:38Speaker 1: he came back from Summerhouse, then he was still with her.
- 12:41Speaker 1: So because it sounds like it was like a fourteen
- 12:44Speaker 1: month relationship, fourteen months that is a long time. Yeah,
- 12:50Speaker 1: And so all the way through the summer into the fall.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Then we have a timeline that he was with her
- 12:56Speaker 1: in January, that he brought her to Bo's Men. Yeah,
- 13:01Speaker 1: and then they were together at the Super Bowl and
- 13:05Speaker 1: he gave her flowers on Valentine's Day. That is entirely
- 13:09Speaker 1: so when she said I wake up one day and
- 13:11Speaker 1: he's with Amanda, It's like, yeah, that has got to
- 13:15Speaker 1: be the most shocking thing ever. I can't even imagine.
- 13:18Speaker 2: No, and he is so comfortable. I mean, there's just
- 13:24Speaker 2: so many things that went on that were you know,
- 13:27Speaker 2: this guy and as annoyed, I started to get really
- 13:31Speaker 2: annoyed that they were focused on Amanda and protecting her
- 13:35Speaker 2: from him, because I feel like it took us so
- 13:39Speaker 2: long to get to the reason for the season, which
- 13:42Speaker 2: is like Amanda in Sierra, you know, and we have to.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Take a long time. Yeah, finally we got the big questions,
- 13:49Speaker 1: you know, why did you how do you feel about
- 13:52Speaker 1: your betrayal towards Sierra? I mean, these were hard hitting questions.
- 13:57Speaker 2: But I mean, he's just a guy who is not
- 14:01Speaker 2: only is he comfortable to you with letting a girlfriend,
- 14:06Speaker 2: a serious person that he's dating, think that they are monogamous,
- 14:14Speaker 2: but it is what he prefers to your point, so
- 14:19Speaker 2: she can stay not with anyone else, and he's for
- 14:24Speaker 2: about the cabin.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't understand how he can do that,
- 14:28Speaker 1: which leads me to believe that he is lying about
- 14:33Speaker 1: having a conversation with her, because if she's just assuming
- 14:37Speaker 1: they're in an exclusive relationship, because they're saying I love you.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I mean, they had to have had a conversation there
- 14:43Speaker 1: together for fourteen months. He had to have said something.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Oh sure, I'm sure he did. And do you see
- 14:49Speaker 2: him already doing this like when him and Sierra, you know, reconciled,
- 14:54Speaker 2: and he's moving the pieces around so that she's not
- 15:00Speaker 2: you know, he wants everyone around to know, like this
- 15:02Speaker 2: isn't a big thing, This is just a you know,
- 15:05Speaker 2: but he wants her in, he wants her biting, yes,
- 15:09Speaker 2: like this is this is advanced. You know, it's advanced.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Gumbag Stu's it's like somebody who's gotten his master's degree
- 15:18Speaker 1: in this because he's done it for so long.
- 15:21Speaker 2: And when you have a conversation about being together, like
- 15:25Speaker 2: are we exclusive? You have it once?
- 15:27Speaker 1: So yeah, great point.
- 15:30Speaker 2: And he probably like.
- 15:33Speaker 1: He probably skirted that well.
- 15:35Speaker 2: He might have even gone like you think we're exclusive,
- 15:38Speaker 2: don't you.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Right? Right?
- 15:42Speaker 2: And she's like, yeah, I do, and he is like,
- 15:46Speaker 2: you never said it.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Right, I never said it. There's so many ways that
- 15:50Speaker 1: he could have communicated that without actually saying it, like yeah,
- 15:53Speaker 1: so are we exclusive? I mean I said I love you,
- 15:57Speaker 1: so whatever that means, yeah, yeah, you know, anything if
- 16:01Speaker 1: he's saying I love you. He's saying I love you
- 16:04Speaker 1: to the dog walking by. He's throwing these words out there.
- 16:09Speaker 1: So that's what's so funny about hearing them answer the
- 16:13Speaker 1: question when Andy says, so, do you guys love each other?
- 16:17Speaker 1: And Amanda's always waiting for his answer. First, she waited
- 16:21Speaker 1: for him to answer, and he's like, no, we're not.
- 16:25Speaker 1: You know, we're just not like you know, using those
- 16:28Speaker 1: She's like, Nope, we're not. It's just too early. You
- 16:31Speaker 1: guys are so full of it. He said it to
- 16:35Speaker 1: her on camera many many times. Of course, he loves her,
- 16:39Speaker 1: and I really wish he would have said that. That
- 16:41Speaker 1: would have helped their case. You know, Deanna, I think
- 16:45Speaker 1: that it took so long to finally get to the hey,
- 16:49Speaker 1: why did you betray her? How do you feel about
- 16:52Speaker 1: betraying her? Conversation because they had to take so much
- 16:57Speaker 1: time trying to drill down on this bedrock of these
- 17:03Speaker 1: two beta blocked people to get any kind of information
- 17:07Speaker 1: about a timeline to a definition about their relationship when
- 17:11Speaker 1: it started, how did it start? And these two it
- 17:15Speaker 1: was like Beavis and Butt heead, I mean, it really was.
- 17:18Speaker 1: At the end of the day, they're staring off into space.
- 17:22Speaker 2: They're not connected at all. There's no energy between them,
- 17:27Speaker 2: do you know what I mean? Yeah, it's there's no
- 17:30Speaker 2: It's very strange. Yeah, it's it's an odd situation.
- 17:34Speaker 1: They're hiding it. They're hiding their energy from everybody because
- 17:39Speaker 1: they don't want to show what they've been showing us
- 17:43Speaker 1: on Summer House, the entire summer.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Well, and that's when Sierra was like, you know, I
- 17:49Speaker 2: mean you could say that, you know, it's she's worth it,
- 17:53Speaker 2: Like yeah, here's an option, that's a sentence. You know that, right?
- 18:00Speaker 2: Because but now when you're okay, can I just gonna
- 18:05Speaker 2: touchdown on.
- 18:06Speaker 1: That, get in here.
- 18:07Speaker 2: When you're saying, of course he loves her, of course
- 18:10Speaker 2: he loves her, I have to put I have a
- 18:12Speaker 2: little pause with that, because he is doing we have
- 18:18Speaker 2: to imagine because people are who they are. I don't
- 18:22Speaker 2: believe that Amanda, and it has nothing to do with Amanda.
- 18:27Speaker 2: But we have Sierra on the couch. We have Kj's girlfriend,
- 18:31Speaker 2: sorry I don't have her name with the ready on
- 18:33Speaker 2: the couch. We have Miha you know at the ends.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Anna, Shara, you got me, that's that's important.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I got Dara. I like Dara. I am still thinking
- 18:46Speaker 2: about her her showing last week. So just because I
- 18:50Speaker 2: don't have her name doesn't mean I don't have her
- 18:51Speaker 2: in my heart. There you go, there you go, her
- 18:54Speaker 2: showing last week as Blooming Bloom socks back. Uh.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Wow.
- 19:02Speaker 2: But we have these three gals and Pandas that's four,
- 19:08Speaker 2: so we're we're one guy, four girls that are swimming
- 19:13Speaker 2: around who he has had relationships with.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Wow.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Okay, and it's the same result. And Dar really that's
- 19:23Speaker 2: really what she gave us, you know, is that like
- 19:27Speaker 2: this is this is who you are, this is how
- 19:29Speaker 2: you do. Yeah. So when he's saying he loves Amanda,
- 19:34Speaker 2: that is about this is the time of the journey
- 19:39Speaker 2: when I say this and I lock them in and
- 19:43Speaker 2: then they think they're in something really serious And this
- 19:47Speaker 2: one is going to go on like it's going to
- 19:49Speaker 2: be a national headline. But I don't believe he loves her. Yeah,
- 19:56Speaker 2: it don't.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I mean, you know, here, I am sitting going, Yeah,
- 20:00Speaker 1: he's been saying I love you, I love you, I
- 20:02Speaker 1: love you all summer. Why wouldn't he say it now?
- 20:04Speaker 1: And the answer is, you're right, because he doesn't. That's why, Right,
- 20:09Speaker 1: he just throws those words around. He said, he's say
- 20:13Speaker 1: he's going to say it in the bonus episode to Kyle, right,
- 20:18Speaker 1: but he better say it. He better say something like
- 20:23Speaker 1: that right now, which is so weird that he didn't
- 20:24Speaker 1: actually say it at this reunion. I find that very strange.
- 20:29Speaker 1: It was that was the time to say it. But
- 20:32Speaker 1: they clearly had a plan of this one.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, their timeline, I mean, Andy was like what,
- 20:40Speaker 2: They're like, it's too new, Oh god, this is too fresh? What?
- 20:45Speaker 2: And then that when everyone's kind of grown, they were like,
- 20:48Speaker 2: they got very middle school. They were like, it's new,
- 20:51Speaker 2: it's very nice.
- 20:54Speaker 1: But here's what. Here's what threw me. I'm so bad
- 20:57Speaker 1: is that Like I would have been thinking the same thing,
- 21:02Speaker 1: but now that preview of this bonus episode threw me
- 21:08Speaker 1: off my saddle.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Okay, but here's the thing I don't understand. Yeah I
- 21:12Speaker 2: feel I may understand.
- 21:14Speaker 1: By my god, but the tables are turning.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Listen. I know I felt I came in feeling real foggy,
- 21:21Speaker 2: and now I'm clear enough.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Ok I thought I was clear, and now I'm foggy.
- 21:24Speaker 1: But it could just be the Pina Grigio talking, you
- 21:27Speaker 1: know what, I'm saying okay, I did.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I think after the third episode, I felt like Mia,
- 21:34Speaker 2: which is like, what actually did we accomplish here on
- 21:38Speaker 2: this evening?
- 21:39Speaker 1: You know? Oh? Whoa when Lindsay when Lindsay was like,
- 21:43Speaker 1: I don't understand anything now, yeah.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Yeah, like Miya and hers set it back in this
- 21:49Speaker 2: green room, and it was the fact She's.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Like, oh that's hilarious.
- 21:52Speaker 2: What did we what happened here? I do think that
- 21:56Speaker 2: West is savvy when it comes to you know, press
- 22:03Speaker 2: and where he fits. And I think he left this
- 22:07Speaker 2: reunion and knew that he did not deliver on I'm
- 22:14Speaker 2: in Love with this girl, you know, And so now
- 22:18Speaker 2: he's going on a new program, you know, because there
- 22:22Speaker 2: is there's in the city. It feels like it's part
- 22:24Speaker 2: of in the city. But I guess this is not
- 22:26Speaker 2: in the city at all. It's just a special special show, right.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Like it looked like in the city. They used in
- 22:34Speaker 1: the city cameras. I mean, okay, we might as well
- 22:36Speaker 1: call it in the city.
- 22:38Speaker 2: So yeah, okay, it feels in the city ish. So
- 22:43Speaker 2: it feels like he also has to I think he
- 22:46Speaker 2: left their cold, like the cast is like, we're there,
- 22:51Speaker 2: we have no resolution. We don't have another season.
- 22:54Speaker 1: So do you think that they filmed this after the reunion?
- 22:57Speaker 2: I do think they filmed it after the reunion. And
- 22:59Speaker 2: I think that West is like, I have to repair
- 23:03Speaker 2: some of this.
- 23:04Speaker 1: OK.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Way to do that is.
- 23:07Speaker 1: To be a lover boy. Honey, Oh you did not.
- 23:13Speaker 1: That is some good stuff, because.
- 23:16Speaker 2: That's something people can sink their teeth into and actually
- 23:21Speaker 2: penetrates the old heart. And then you.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Understand, you understand people do crazy things for love.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 23:29Speaker 1: That's all we wanted to hear. That's the only thing
- 23:33Speaker 1: we were going to even consider to move forward in
- 23:38Speaker 1: some kind of humane way. But instead you had two NPCs.
- 23:44Speaker 1: You know what those are in a video?
- 23:47Speaker 2: Yes, they're not something players. They're un essential.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Yes, they're like not they just sit there and they
- 23:55Speaker 1: don't do anything. And and thank god that and he
- 24:00Speaker 1: actually said, you know, are you did you take a
- 24:05Speaker 1: beta blocker? And the way that the way that he
- 24:09Speaker 1: was looking I was Amanda was looking at him. He
- 24:13Speaker 1: was looking over at all the guys. The guys were
- 24:15Speaker 1: looking at him. He looked back. I was like, are
- 24:17Speaker 1: you trying to cross the street? Why do you keep
- 24:20Speaker 1: looking around? And and he's like, I'm talking to you, bro, Yeah,
- 24:23Speaker 1: I'm talking to you right, because I mean he didn't
- 24:27Speaker 1: even he couldn't even pick up where the question was aimed.
- 24:29Speaker 2: So uh and he was he was blocked out of
- 24:34Speaker 2: the question.
- 24:35Speaker 1: His beta's were blocking, and like they straight up like boom,
- 24:44Speaker 1: hit it right back, just bounced all around the reunion ricochet.
- 24:52Speaker 1: That's a call a beta blocker. Ricoget. Well, you know
- 25:00Speaker 1: you've heard me talk about one skin because it's literally
- 25:03Speaker 1: my favorite. So whether you're someone who tries every new
- 25:06Speaker 1: skin care product that hits the market, or you've been
- 25:08Speaker 1: using the same one or two things for years, at
- 25:11Speaker 1: some point, most of us realize our skin just is
- 25:14Speaker 1: in keeping up the way it used to, you know
- 25:16Speaker 1: what I mean, That's what One skin changed for me.
- 25:20Speaker 1: And it didn't just make my existing routine better, It
- 25:23Speaker 1: actually worked differently than anything else I'd ever tried. And
- 25:27Speaker 1: now I'm obsessed. As we age, some skin cells stop
- 25:31Speaker 1: functioning the way they should. Longevity scientists call them zombie cells.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Cute right, Well, not so cute, because that's what actually
- 25:39Speaker 1: drives those visible signs of aging, the fine lines, the
- 25:43Speaker 1: loss of firmness, the dullness that creeps in over time, Yeah,
- 25:47Speaker 1: it sounds terrifying, but you know what, One Skin's os
- 25:51Speaker 1: one peptide was specifically engineered to address those so you're

- 26:11Speaker 1: more even balanced, and I can tell it's fighting the
- 26:14Speaker 1: fine lines. And now summer's here, So if you're not
- 26:17Speaker 1: already using sunscreen daily, One Skin's face SPF is the

- 26:24Speaker 1: from the os one peptide while also giving you mineral
- 26:27Speaker 1: SPF protection from UV exposure, which is a major factor
- 26:31Speaker 1: in making us look older faster. Born from over a
- 26:34Speaker 1: decade of longevity research, one Skin's os one peptide is

- 32:44Speaker 1: like he could barely even answer that question, and so
- 32:48Speaker 1: is such a great lesson on watching a liar lie
- 32:54Speaker 1: Because even then he was like, all right, so, like,
- 32:57Speaker 1: am I gonna tell the truth right now? I'm gonna
- 33:00Speaker 1: start talking until I land in the truth or out
- 33:03Speaker 1: of the truth, and we'll see where it goes. And
- 33:06Speaker 1: he was like, well, I mean, if you just like, like, so,
- 33:09Speaker 1: if I were to yeah, I did. I did with
- 33:13Speaker 1: a beta blocker. I did take And what my language
- 33:18Speaker 1: is isn't a twin Peaks language, Like it's all backwards
- 33:21Speaker 1: and just shruggled.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Up beta blocker.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I did take. Okay, he's like Yoda. He's like not Yoa.
- 33:31Speaker 1: He's not as cool and wise as Yoda, but he
- 33:35Speaker 1: is talking a little like Yoda.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Yeah, the little backwards, a little nonlinear.
- 33:42Speaker 1: You know that. Amanda was like, phew, he didn't ask me,
- 33:45Speaker 1: but we all know. I think that he was smart
- 33:48Speaker 1: to just ask West because there's something about the gender
- 33:53Speaker 1: there that I appreciated that he aimed it at West
- 33:57Speaker 1: and not Amanda.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Well, Amanda also has you know, mental health issues, so it's.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Also recollection, right, you know.
- 34:09Speaker 2: No, but I don't think I even I appreciate you
- 34:12Speaker 2: bringing that up because I don't think it occurred to
- 34:15Speaker 2: me that he didn't ask her. And I think you're
- 34:17Speaker 2: one hundred percent right, And that reminded me that she
- 34:22Speaker 2: there's a sensitivity there because she's open openly talked about
- 34:28Speaker 2: her mental health.
- 34:30Speaker 1: You know, Andy is so good. I mean, honestly, we
- 34:34Speaker 1: I know, we appreciate Andy. I know that just a
- 34:37Speaker 1: quick uh, you know, I could do, Yeah, just a
- 34:42Speaker 1: quick could do to say he just is so good
- 34:45Speaker 1: at hosting these reunions and he doesn't even he doesn't
- 34:48Speaker 1: even produce Summer House, you know. So he's just a
- 34:52Speaker 1: person having a conversation in some of these moments where
- 34:56Speaker 1: you just really appreciate it. You know, when he was
- 34:58Speaker 1: just asking the question that I just was dying to
- 35:00Speaker 1: hear and finally we got it, which is like, why
- 35:03Speaker 1: why did you betray her? How do you feel about
- 35:05Speaker 1: the betrayal? It's like the biggest thing in the world,
- 35:09Speaker 1: and it was so nice to hear his sincerity ask
- 35:13Speaker 1: these pointed questions. But anyway, getting back to the beta blockers,
- 35:18Speaker 1: it really it robbed us of some emotion. And I
- 35:23Speaker 1: wonder if they didn't have it, like allegedly allegedly that
- 35:29Speaker 1: they even were on them. But if they hadn't had
- 35:32Speaker 1: taken them allegedly, how would they have reacted? Because I
- 35:36Speaker 1: don't know if Wes would have acted any differently. I'm
- 35:38Speaker 1: not quite sure.
- 35:39Speaker 2: I can't. He can't. He doesn't care. That was my
- 35:43Speaker 2: biggest takeaway from this guy is he doesn't and I
- 35:49Speaker 2: mean it so deeply care.
- 35:52Speaker 1: But if he actually didn't take any beta blockers and
- 35:55Speaker 1: he's like, that's this is actually a great excuse to
- 35:57Speaker 1: show why I'm not showing an empathy.
- 35:59Speaker 2: I'm just to say, yes, yeah, because when he would
- 36:03Speaker 2: that's get really creepy. When he was like, if I
- 36:05Speaker 2: was sitting close, I would hug you. I'm like, that
- 36:08Speaker 2: felt very weird and weird natural and strange.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Yeah, because I'm thinking, like, you know people can get
- 36:16Speaker 1: out of their seats.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Well they can't. That's the whole thing with these two.
- 36:21Speaker 2: First of all, listen, we have all in life been
- 36:26Speaker 2: attracted to someone that you shouldn't be attracted to, right
- 36:31Speaker 2: that It's not every single human being on planet Earth
- 36:34Speaker 2: has felt attraction to someone where it's not right.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Okay, it's a no no, it's.
- 36:40Speaker 2: A no no. So this idea that Amandas can't get
- 36:46Speaker 2: a single handle on any of her feelings. And the
- 36:51Speaker 2: thought that happens immediately if you have any sort of
- 36:54Speaker 2: feeling is, oh my god, this would ruin my relationship
- 36:59Speaker 2: with X, Y, and Z, okay.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Every other letter in the alphabet for that matter.
- 37:07Speaker 2: And that's just like a that can just be a
- 37:10Speaker 2: fleeting dance with the mind, do you know what I mean?
- 37:14Speaker 2: It can be nothing more than that. And you already
- 37:17Speaker 2: crunch every number that you.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Need to trust and believe we everyone is thinking about stuff,
- 37:25Speaker 1: whether they're even going to cross that bridge or not.
- 37:28Speaker 1: She could have it in the frozen food section and
- 37:31Speaker 1: think what if one day I can't do that? I mean,
- 37:36Speaker 1: it is that simple.
- 37:38Speaker 2: It's that simple, and you've already gone down the road
- 37:42Speaker 2: you have and this is really the truth. And I
- 37:44Speaker 2: wish somebody had said it now that I sit here tonight.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Was like, as I sit here tonight, as I sit
- 37:51Speaker 1: here this eve, yes, I wish somebody had said, like, listen, Amanda,
- 37:56Speaker 1: you did have the thought, you did know pretty early
- 38:00Speaker 1: on what this would do to your friend.
- 38:03Speaker 2: And you chose your self and this excitement over here
- 38:12Speaker 2: over your friend, and you were willing to discard her
- 38:18Speaker 2: because you knew that's where this road ends.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Lindsay came. She really butted up against that. I felt
- 38:25Speaker 1: that Lindsay did. She was like, so after that one break,
- 38:29Speaker 1: she was so done at she doesn't have the answers.
- 38:32Speaker 1: She comes back and she's given up. She's now going
- 38:35Speaker 1: to have a good time, and she's just like, I
- 38:36Speaker 1: haven't learned anything. And then she does say, you guys,
- 38:40Speaker 1: weighed all these options before you made a decision. You
- 38:43Speaker 1: said you made a decision, but you didn't weigh the options.
- 38:48Speaker 1: And you said you talked about it, but you couldn't
- 38:50Speaker 1: have because you're saying that you thought about how this
- 38:54Speaker 1: would have basically a domino effect and destroy people's lives,
- 38:59Speaker 1: and then you continued to do that. It's pretty shortsighted,
- 39:04Speaker 1: as she said, for just a fling, And I thought,
- 39:08Speaker 1: that's exactly what it is, because here you have two
- 39:11Speaker 1: people who's just their kinks aligned at one time. It's
- 39:18Speaker 1: really more of a kink that he was exploring. And
- 39:20Speaker 1: I think for her it was it was a vulnerable moment.
- 39:26Speaker 1: It was an f you to Kyle, and it was
- 39:31Speaker 1: overly selfish. I have thought of no one but Kyle
- 39:35Speaker 1: this whole time. I haven't thought about myself in like
- 39:37Speaker 1: ten years. I'm doing what I want to do for once,
- 39:41Speaker 1: and I'm doing this no matter what the consequence.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Man. I mean, yeah, she right, she chose, And you
- 39:50Speaker 2: know there's just something just hearing that out loud where
- 39:53Speaker 2: it just like that's the truth. Yeah, you know, you
- 39:56Speaker 2: just didn't You don't worry about serious, right, Like you
- 40:01Speaker 2: don't care about me. It's not that she doesn't care
- 40:04Speaker 2: about Sierra, but she didn't care enough about the friendship
- 40:09Speaker 2: to prioritize it or to have a conversation or to
- 40:13Speaker 2: you know, go to her on bend and me and say,
- 40:16Speaker 2: like these feelings. But I just I don't believe these feelings.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Like these feelings. I'm having a really hard time touching
- 40:26Speaker 2: down on between her and West, like.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Yeah, because we don't see any kind of connection there
- 40:31Speaker 1: on the couch, because they're not going to show it.
- 40:34Speaker 1: In fact, they look like two people that have been
- 40:36Speaker 1: married for thirty five years that are just annoyed with
- 40:39Speaker 1: each other, that sit next to each other. They don't
- 40:41Speaker 1: even look at each other and like, at the end,
- 40:44Speaker 1: don't eat that, we're gonna do cheers. Don't do that
- 40:47Speaker 1: when you're mad, you know, just the bickering. And then
- 40:51Speaker 1: here we have in real time. They're in Europe and
- 40:54Speaker 1: she's spinning in his mouth that whole thing that took
- 40:57Speaker 1: the internet and you missed it. Oh my god, Diana.
- 41:01Speaker 1: So there's this picture. I don't it's actually a video.
- 41:04Speaker 1: I do not know how someone at this moment in
- 41:08Speaker 1: time happened to be videotaping them. But they're sitting outside
- 41:13Speaker 1: eating and she I don't blame this. I have to
- 41:20Speaker 1: tell you. I have to tell you this. Okay, Diana,
- 41:24Speaker 1: look at me. You've got to be strong for this. Okay,
- 41:27Speaker 1: you have to look at it. You got you gotta.
- 41:31Speaker 1: And she picks her head up and he opens his
- 41:34Speaker 1: mouth and she spits. They're they're not even close to
- 41:38Speaker 1: each other. She like spits something far away into his mouth.
- 41:41Speaker 1: We don't know what, and then they keep going on
- 41:44Speaker 1: with their moment. It looks like it there's no big
- 41:49Speaker 1: there's no chewing, like, it's just I don't know what
- 41:52Speaker 1: it was.
- 41:53Speaker 2: I don't know, And it wasn't a spit food fly
- 41:55Speaker 2: like It wasn't someone just eating.
- 41:57Speaker 1: It wasn't like baby birding, but I mean it was and.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Like sometimes you're eating in Spitchus accidentally.
- 42:04Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, no, she was aiming. She hurled
- 42:06Speaker 1: and he was ready for it. And it was really fast.
- 42:09Speaker 1: People slowed it down. It's so oh no, oh, this
- 42:15Speaker 1: is so funny to explain this to you.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Oh no.
- 42:19Speaker 1: So here we are in real time and they're getting
- 42:23Speaker 1: along great. So like we're not going to see that
- 42:26Speaker 1: at the reunion because it's secret, just like their relationship
- 42:31Speaker 1: has been the secret this whole time. When they're around
- 42:34Speaker 1: the Summerhouse crew, they're going to keep it secret. They're
- 42:36Speaker 1: going to stick to whatever loose script that they have,
- 42:40Speaker 1: and then they're going to take it, take it to
- 42:42Speaker 1: the streets in another country and live their best life.
- 42:47Speaker 2: You know, in the Summerhouse they got off on doing
- 42:51Speaker 2: their sneaky little breadcombing things, doing their little thingies that
- 42:55Speaker 2: they could that that was what they were getting crazy about.
- 42:59Speaker 2: You know, they were loving that. And I guess it
- 43:02Speaker 2: doesn't that's hot, you know, we all.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Get of course, but but I mean we're of age
- 43:12Speaker 1: where and when you have see when you have things
- 43:15Speaker 1: hanging in the balance, like an actual friendship. That's the problem.
- 43:20Speaker 1: That's the fucking problem. I just can't get over. You know.
- 43:24Speaker 1: Part of me is like, I don't know how Amanda
- 43:27Speaker 1: could have shown up for this reunion not on Beta blockers,
- 43:31Speaker 1: allegedly because of the damage that she is caused to
- 43:36Speaker 1: Sierra and the pain. I don't know if I could
- 43:39Speaker 1: face that head on, I don't know. So part of
- 43:43Speaker 1: me really doesn't. I don't know. Part of me doesn't
- 43:46Speaker 1: blame her for that. I'm sorry that. I'm sorry to
- 43:50Speaker 1: say it. Would I want her to face the music
- 43:54Speaker 1: like a like a like a woman, and you know,
- 43:58Speaker 1: give speak her truth and cry on bended kneed to Sierra,
- 44:04Speaker 1: of course, but then she's still going to walk away
- 44:06Speaker 1: with Wes. She made her decision.
- 44:08Speaker 2: She's already made her decision, and so what's the point,
- 44:10Speaker 2: like you don't care? Well, yeah, I mean, but even
- 44:15Speaker 2: that's where you go into And by the way, Sierra
- 44:19Speaker 2: put out a whole thing as a nurse about Beta Blockers.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Did you read that? I did?
- 44:23Speaker 2: I did, okay, which I thought I appreciated, but totally,
- 44:28Speaker 2: like emotions can still be there are just blocks.
- 44:32Speaker 1: It doesn't matter.
- 44:33Speaker 2: But yeah, so.
- 44:34Speaker 1: She went into the scientifics and the pharmaceuticals of it all,
- 44:37Speaker 1: and yeah, the wiring of our brains. And you know,
- 44:40Speaker 1: she's too smart for me. So you get the idea
- 44:43Speaker 1: that she's basically saying, you can take beta blockers. They're
- 44:48Speaker 1: going to suppress your adrenaline, but they're not going to
- 44:51Speaker 1: necessarily suppress your emotion. And so beta blockers are no
- 44:55Speaker 1: excuse for how they showed up at this reunion, right.
- 44:58Speaker 2: I think that when you aren't and that's why I
- 45:01Speaker 2: just feel like they were so underprepared. Is like, if
- 45:05Speaker 2: you are going to leave together, which they are, then
- 45:09Speaker 2: you just have to say the thing like that Woody
- 45:14Speaker 2: Allen said back in the day, the heart wants what
- 45:17Speaker 2: the heart wants. And that has not aged twelve folks,
- 45:19Speaker 2: but it was something that penetrated us as a society
- 45:25Speaker 2: to the point where it took a couple decades for
- 45:29Speaker 2: us to really get our head around the truth that
- 45:32Speaker 2: we were like heartwork, the heart want. Yeah, you know, yes,
- 45:36Speaker 2: it's so they didn't even break us off anything like that.
- 45:42Speaker 1: So like they didn't break you know, they did not
- 45:46Speaker 1: break us off anything, not even a morsel, you know.
- 45:50Speaker 1: So they started to talk to Wes a little more
- 45:54Speaker 1: towards the end, and that's where we wanted to be.
- 45:57Speaker 1: We want we needed him to be on the stand
- 45:59Speaker 1: for a longer period of time with with a prosecuting attorney,
- 46:04Speaker 1: and we didn't get that, unfortunately, because there was so
- 46:07Speaker 1: much other, so many other things going on. But we
- 46:10Speaker 1: needed him to be in the hot seat with more
- 46:12Speaker 1: questions fired at him because he can't handle that, and
- 46:15Speaker 1: he would have wavered and he would have cracked, and
- 46:17Speaker 1: he would have stuttered, and he would have, like you know,
- 46:20Speaker 1: fallen into a trap of his own lies. More so
- 46:25Speaker 1: had we hammered, hammered, hammered on him. But we didn't
- 46:29Speaker 1: do that. And I understand, you know, they want to.
- 46:33Speaker 1: I guess the reason what I'm saying I understand is because, well,
- 46:37Speaker 1: you can't just go in on somebody at a reunion
- 46:41Speaker 1: hard like that, because it's not necessarily fair, right.
- 46:45Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know, I don't know what
- 46:47Speaker 2: I mean we saw. You know, I'm always bringing back
- 46:50Speaker 2: to scandival, But like I think, in these situations, I
- 46:54Speaker 2: think they go in hard. I mean, it's the only
- 46:57Speaker 2: thing we discussed.
- 46:58Speaker 1: But you know, they didn't like fire. I guess did
- 47:02Speaker 1: they fire enough questions at him? Now I'm wondering what
- 47:04Speaker 1: did we even see, you know, because they kept asking questions,
- 47:07Speaker 1: but they just said the same thing over you know
- 47:09Speaker 1: what they did. Yeah, they asked as many questions as
- 47:12Speaker 1: they possibly could, and their answer was always I know,
- 47:17Speaker 1: and I feel so bad and I can't believe it,
- 47:20Speaker 1: and I feel so bad. And if I could go back,
- 47:23Speaker 1: I would have had a conversation that that was weird.
- 47:26Speaker 1: If I could have had a conversation, it could have
- 47:30Speaker 1: West tied with West. Can we talk about West and Kyle?
- 47:34Speaker 1: And how Kyle was like just emotional as I'll get out,
- 47:39Speaker 1: and he was like basically taking a father figure role
- 47:43Speaker 1: on Amanda, saying, what are your intentions, sir with my
- 47:48Speaker 1: daughter girl? Yeah, And it was a question. It is
- 47:53Speaker 1: a good question, and of course he's not gonna have
- 47:55Speaker 1: the answer.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Well he even like, you know, the scummiest don't know,
- 48:00Speaker 2: like to me just when he said that. I think
- 48:05Speaker 2: it was when they were asking when Andy asked, are
- 48:08Speaker 2: you in love? And they were like, so soon, it's soon.
- 48:13Speaker 2: It just happened, and we're just no.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Baby bird, babybird just cracked open.
- 48:19Speaker 2: Sunlight. We just and he was like, God, you know,
- 48:23Speaker 2: I would just love it to get back to where
- 48:25Speaker 2: it was between us.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's what That's what I'm talking about.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Those are the questions that are going to get those
- 48:34Speaker 1: types of answers that everyone was like from six weeks
- 48:38Speaker 1: ago bullshit.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Because none of their their timeline is bullshit. And he's
- 48:45Speaker 2: already making her mentally being in a place where she
- 48:49Speaker 2: has to fight back to where he was the most
- 48:54Speaker 2: into her, which was when she was.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Married, yes, thank you and stillwell still is but yes,
- 49:01Speaker 1: but still committed, still in her relationship.
- 49:05Speaker 2: And his ex was two feet away and there were
- 49:08Speaker 2: cameras running. That's when she was the best.
- 49:11Speaker 1: That's what we got to get back to. You know.
- 49:13Speaker 1: When he said that, it exposed him in so many ways.
- 49:16Speaker 1: I'm so glad you remember to bring that up, because
- 49:19Speaker 1: I think it was Bailey that set across the way.
- 49:24Speaker 1: Oh he's already, he's already over her, He's already over this,
- 49:28Speaker 1: And that's exactly how it exposed him, because it's showing
- 49:31Speaker 1: the cracks in their relationship now, which is we actually
- 49:36Speaker 1: have work to do in our relationship. We actually have
- 49:39Speaker 1: to get back to a place.
- 49:41Speaker 2: That's crazy Amy after this relationship she's been in, you
- 49:47Speaker 2: know that she's in with a new one with so
- 49:50Speaker 2: much drama, so much isolation, and she has to work
- 49:52Speaker 2: on getting back who girl. And that's why everyone was like,
- 49:57Speaker 2: are you like Carl's like, you sure you want to
- 50:01Speaker 2: do this?
- 50:03Speaker 1: Down the couch, she was like okay, I know. She like, wow,
- 50:11Speaker 1: okay she We saw a little emotion, some irritation towards Carl. Carl,
- 50:16Speaker 1: Carl took a Carl did take a take.
- 50:19Speaker 2: He cut astray. Yeah, but.
- 50:24Speaker 1: She only had emotion for Carl. She could let it out. Yeah,
- 50:30Speaker 1: those those eye rolls. Oh okay, you're gonna chime in,
- 50:34Speaker 1: carlh okay, what are your thoughts about when Sierra said
- 50:43Speaker 1: he's only with you to spite me, He's getting back
- 50:46Speaker 1: at me. What's that about.
- 50:49Speaker 2: It's hard because we saw that particular sound bite as
- 50:54Speaker 2: part of the early drop, right like that like released
- 50:58Speaker 2: footage or audio or whatever it was, or maybe it
- 51:01Speaker 2: was even a promo, And then I had seen a
- 51:04Speaker 2: whole bunch of people talking about it online and like,
- 51:08Speaker 2: what did this? So I don't okay, I feel clouded,
- 51:12Speaker 2: you know, on what I actually think about it.
- 51:14Speaker 1: I feel clouded, well, what are some of the speculations
- 51:19Speaker 1: on what other people think, because yeah, I don't really
- 51:23Speaker 1: get it.
- 51:24Speaker 2: I think that it makes sense for Sierra to feel
- 51:28Speaker 2: that way because she's trying to figure out why this
- 51:34Speaker 2: guy has played her so so hard, horrifically, right, so
- 51:41Speaker 2: it has to be hate so exactly, so you have
- 51:45Speaker 2: to crunch the numbers on it and go for whatever
- 51:49Speaker 2: reason he is so either angry about the first time
- 51:55Speaker 2: and this is a he got me in a position
- 51:59Speaker 2: of vulnerability only to figure out what's going to hurt
- 52:03Speaker 2: me the most and like slam me over the head
- 52:06Speaker 2: with it, right, Like, I get that thought process. I
- 52:09Speaker 2: think what some of the things that I saw online
- 52:13Speaker 2: was that he's not even thinking about her enough to
- 52:18Speaker 2: make it about hating her or about her even And
- 52:22Speaker 2: I do think that there's probably a lot of truth
- 52:25Speaker 2: in that because he's not He does that everybody. Yeah,
