- 0:10>> Speaker A: Hello, weary traveler.
- 0:12>> Jarjeev: I'm not sure what strange
- 0:13magic must have brought you
- 0:15here, but you have stepped
- 0:16into a realm of my creation. A
- 0:19ah, sprawling city filled with
- 0:20danger and glory and most
- 0:22importantly, lots of gold. I
- 0:25call it I La Nomis. Who am I,
- 0:28you might ask? The name is
- 0:30Jarjeev, and I'm the patron
- 0:32deity of gambling. Long story
- 0:35short, this group of idiots,
- 0:37or as you may call them,
- 0:39heroes, made a bet with me
- 0:41that they had what it took to
- 0:42make a bastrop of gold, but
- 0:44left some of the key details
- 0:46blank. So I filled them in
- 0:49myself. I sent them to this
- 0:51pocket dimension into the city
- 0:53I had created with brand new
- 0:55bodies they'd have to attune
- 0:57to.
- 0:57>> Skyler: Can these fools pass my test?
- 1:00>> Jarjeev: Or will they be trapped here
- 1:01forever? So experience my
- 1:04world of trials and
- 1:05tribulations and join
- 1:07alongside this posse of
- 1:09pitiful people. Or as I like
- 1:11to call them, the criminals of
- 1:13Isla Numis.
- 1:16>> Speaker D: Welcome back everybody, to
- 1:17another episode of the
- 1:18Criminals of Isla Numis. We
- 1:20are on episode 36 and I know
- 1:22everybody's probably feeling a
- 1:24little emotionally bummed
- 1:25after last episode, so we'll
- 1:27do quick introductions so that
- 1:28we can jump back into things.
- 1:30To my right, I've got Dave
- 1:31playing Maki. Joining with us,
- 1:33we've got Fatty Lumpkins, who
- 1:35is playing Kido. Next to him
- 1:37we got Jackson, who's playing
- 1:39dez. Then we've got Cameron,
- 1:42who plays Roerick. And last
- 1:43but not least, we've got
- 1:44Quinn, who's playing Lil
- 1:46Sauce. I'm Skyler. I'm the
- 1:48Dungeon Master. I'm your big
- 1:51daddy boy. And I don't know,
- 1:55it's, If you ever listen to
- 1:56the adventure zone, Griffin
- 1:57McElroy and like his first
- 1:58season would always do these
- 1:59little bits at the beginning
- 2:00where he's like, I'm your
- 2:02baseball batting boy. I'm like
- 2:06a big baseball batting boy.
- 2:07That's right. You know, it
- 2:08just like it would be
- 2:09something random and it was
- 2:10always really funny. Anyway,
- 2:11with that being said, we're
- 2:12going to jump into another
- 2:13episode of Criminals of Isla
- 2:15Numis.
- 2:16>> Speaker E: Foreign.
- 2:22>> Speaker D: welcome back everybody, to
- 2:23another episode of Criminals.
- 2:24Violet, new Miss. As I said
- 2:25before, when last we left off,
- 2:27you guys had managed to
- 2:28>> Speaker A: escape the facility before it
- 2:30imploded.
- 2:31>> Speaker D: The Steelborn facility where
- 2:33they were making the Euphoria,
- 2:34to be specific, it imploded.
- 2:37Nothing is left except for
- 2:38the. The desk of the guy that
- 2:41was running the whole thing,
- 2:43which Maki had. And, Kido had
- 2:45thrown out the window to help
- 2:46get you guys out. And his
- 2:48entrails and his entrails and
- 2:50head, which the group, I
- 2:52guess, has.
- 2:54>> Speaker F: Well, the Rock Bottom Club
- 2:55has.
- 2:56>> Speaker D: Oh, you just left it for him?
- 2:57>> Speaker G: Yeah, I just.
- 2:57>> Speaker F: I left. I just sat it down and
- 2:59I walked away.
- 3:01>> Speaker D: Would you be offended if you
- 3:02turned around and looked back
- 3:03and saw that they didn't take
- 3:04it?
- 3:05>> Speaker F: Well, I'd go back and grab it.
- 3:07Oh, okay.
- 3:07>> Speaker D: I'm going to say that's what
- 3:08happened.
- 3:09>> Speaker H: All right.
- 3:09>> Speaker F: Then I went back, all the way
- 3:11back. I look back and I see
- 3:12him walking away without my G.
- 3:14Right.
- 3:15>> Speaker D: First of all, you're like a
- 3:16cat that brings a dead.
- 3:18>> Speaker F: I'm like, you guys. You guys
- 3:19couldn't take care of it, so I
- 3:21didn't know. I'm giving you
- 3:21tribute and you didn't take
- 3:23it.
- 3:23>> Speaker I: I'm taking it back.
- 3:24>> Speaker D: It's fair enough.
- 3:25>> Speaker G: No, that's.
- 3:25>> Speaker D: I mean, that's fair. I think
- 3:26it's better that you have it.
- 3:27>> Speaker F: I can probably extract some
- 3:29kind of information.
- 3:30>> Speaker D: You might be able to. He's got
- 3:31a partial robot mind, so who
- 3:34knows? If you can find
- 3:35somebody who has some
- 3:36artificing skills, might be
- 3:38able to, extract some
- 3:39information from that for
- 3:41sure. With that being said,
- 3:43it's getting pretty late.
- 3:44>> Speaker G: Are we. I just thought we were
- 3:45all a Little Sauces.
- 3:46>> Speaker A: Okay.
- 3:46>> Speaker D: Yeah, we can. We can
- 3:47definitely jump in there. You
- 3:48guys limp and drag your way,
- 3:50from the. The Condale
- 3:52district, which is where
- 3:53you're currently at, all the
- 3:54way back to the Mediumville
- 3:55district. You might take that
- 3:56ferry. Cuz I think you guys
- 3:57managed to get a pass of some
- 4:00kind last time. I'm not 100%
- 4:01sure if that's the case and
- 4:02maybe you don't. Whatever the
- 4:03case, one way or another, you
- 4:04guys managed to get yourselves
- 4:06back to Little Sauce's place
- 4:08and crash for the night. You
- 4:10guys all take a big long rest
- 4:12and wake up the next morning.
- 4:14>> Speaker G: Oh, we can talk if you want to
- 4:17debrief after all that. All
- 4:19right.
- 4:19>> Speaker D: I thought you were debriefing.
- 4:21Yeah. Over a pot of coffee
- 4:23that you get from that nearby,
- 4:25cafe.
- 4:25>> Speaker F: Sure.
- 4:26>> Speaker D: Yeah. Okay. So you do that.
- 4:28You go get your. You guys get
- 4:29a big old pot of coffee. and
- 4:31you guys are all sipping on
- 4:33some caffeine while you guys
- 4:36debrief about what happened
- 4:37last night.
- 4:37>> Speaker F: I just made a fresh pot of
- 4:39coffee. Who wants some coffee?
- 4:41>> Speaker G: Fresh pot of coffee coming
- 4:42right up. Hey, how you feel? A
- 4:45Little sauce.
- 4:46>> Speaker I: Oh, you've been hit by a bus.
- 4:50>> Speaker D: there was a semire.
- 4:52>> Speaker G: Yeah, there was a semi steer.
- 4:53>> Speaker D: Anyway.
- 4:54>> Speaker I: A big horse Drawn cartoon ran
- 4:56me over.
- 4:58>> Speaker G: That was a lightning bolt
- 5:00actually.
- 5:01>> Speaker I: Oh, I don't remember that.
- 5:03>> Speaker G: Oh, good. Probably for the
- 5:04best.
- 5:05>> Speaker I: What's everybody's you guys
- 5:06plans from here?
- 5:09>> Speaker D: You say you guys as if you're
- 5:10not part of this.
- 5:11>> Speaker I: I know. I'm saying what's
- 5:12everybody think?
- 5:13>> Speaker G: I don't know. Hey, we were
- 5:16talking.
- 5:18>> Speaker G: I'm talking a little sauce. We
- 5:20and I'm pointing to keto and
- 5:22Daz. we want more planes to
- 5:27get, us out of here. Okay. So
- 5:31that's it. That's all we
- 5:32really. Well, we want money.
- 5:34>> Speaker A: See?
- 5:34>> Speaker G: Did you remember what Jar, Jim
- 5:37said? How we go back to our
- 5:39world? Yeah. We meet a million
- 5:41gold and up until the last
- 5:47night, all of your plans that
- 5:49we've been doing involved us
- 5:51just not getting gold. So I'm
- 5:56saying is let's try to just
- 5:59change our frame of reference
- 6:01and do more plans to get us
- 6:03gold?
- 6:03>> Speaker I: I think we took down the
- 6:04legionnaires. We could take
- 6:06all their gold.
- 6:06>> Speaker F: DEZ writes on his little
- 6:08board, it says, I refuse to
- 6:10help any more civilians except
- 6:12for monetary gain.
- 6:15>> Speaker G: That's basically how all of us
- 6:17feel. But who are these
- 6:19legionnaires? So you told us
- 6:20they're like terrorists. But
- 6:22like the thing I know about
- 6:23terrorists is they're usually
- 6:24poor and just want to blow
- 6:26everything up.
- 6:28>> Speaker I: Am I wrong?
- 6:29>> Speaker A: Yeah. But how are they getting
- 6:30the money
- 6:31>> Speaker D: to buy this stuff to blow
- 6:32things up?
- 6:33>> Speaker A: That always blew my mind. Like
- 6:35the Joker.
- 6:36>> Speaker D: The Joker just like has enough
- 6:37explosives to blow up the
- 6:39entire freaking Wayne Tower
- 6:42one day.
- 6:43>> Speaker G: He just whales them.
- 6:44>> Speaker F: Now when it comes to the
- 6:45Joker, you have to know that
- 6:46the Joker is like a syndicate
- 6:48of criminals.
- 6:49>> Speaker D: That's true.
- 6:50>> Speaker F: They do other criminals.
- 6:51>> Speaker G: He directs them to get their
- 6:54resources.
- 6:55>> Speaker F: The Joker does the big stuff.
- 6:56He does the fun stuff with the
- 6:58blowing up, but he's got
- 6:59minions to do the give the
- 7:00money.
- 7:01>> Speaker D: With that being said, I think
- 7:02the same principle applies
- 7:03here. We got to become the
- 7:05Joker.
- 7:07>> Speaker G: Oh, what kind of terrorist
- 7:09organization are you? Like,
- 7:10are they like a deep pocketed
- 7:13group? Or are they just like
- 7:14the crazy type that just wants
- 7:16to blow everything up because
- 7:17they blew up the arena? So
- 7:20they're kind of more fitting
- 7:21the crazy type that just blows
- 7:23everything.
- 7:24>> Speaker I: Well, they got a lot of money.
- 7:25and they're the ones.
- 7:26>> Speaker G: Wait, how, Wait, how do you
- 7:27know that?
- 7:28>> Speaker I: So they're the ones doing the
- 7:29body mods, right?
- 7:30>> Speaker D: Yeah.
- 7:31>> Speaker I: Well, you remember what's his
- 7:33nut?
- 7:33>> Speaker G: what?
- 7:34>> Speaker I: What's his nut? The guy that
- 7:35we just killed. I don't know,
- 7:37I was knocked out.
- 7:37>> Speaker G: You're born.
- 7:38>> Speaker F: I was knocked.
- 7:38>> Speaker J: Professors.
- 7:39>> Speaker G: I was knocked out for half of
- 7:41it. But you weren't knocked
- 7:43out for the part at the end
- 7:44where I was almost dead.
- 7:45>> Speaker I: I was. I don't remember hardly
- 7:47any of it. Oh, apparently I
- 7:49was hit by a
- 7:50>> Speaker G: lightning bolt, I guess. Yeah,
- 7:51your memory was a little
- 7:53wonky.
- 7:53>> Speaker I: Anyways, he's part of the
- 7:55legionnaires, and they're
- 7:56doing the body modifications
- 7:57to try and live forever. So
- 8:00they have a lot of money.
- 8:01>> Speaker G: Technology is kind of pricey,
- 8:03and they're.
- 8:04>> Speaker I: They're.
- 8:04>> Speaker G: They.
- 8:05>> Speaker I: They. They're doing a lot of
- 8:06bad stuff. So win, win, get
- 8:08their money. We stop them.
- 8:10>> Speaker G: I mean, if they are rich, then
- 8:11that sounds like they do have
- 8:13a lot of money. That sounds
- 8:14like it went for both of us.
- 8:15>> Speaker A: Huh?
- 8:15>> Speaker H: Huh?
- 8:16>> Speaker G: And remember, they're
- 8:17criminals, so they can't narc
- 8:20on us.
- 8:21>> Speaker F: Des nods. Des nods very
- 8:24firmly. Yes, absolutely.
- 8:26>> Speaker D: You hear a knock at the door.
- 8:30>> Speaker G: I go and open it.
- 8:32>> Speaker H: They were listening.
- 8:33>> Speaker D: Oh, man.
- 8:34>> Speaker H: I knew I shouldn't have had
- 8:35that election.
- 8:36>> Speaker G: That illegally stolen carriage
- 8:37out front again.
- 8:41>> Speaker F: Des swings open the door. Who
- 8:42is it?
- 8:43>> Speaker D: There's nobody there. But you
- 8:44do notice that the little flag
- 8:45on his little, mailbox. What
- 8:47kind of mailbox you have?
- 8:48>> Speaker I: Oh, it's. It's a really nice
- 8:50mailbox.
- 8:52>> Speaker F: Square.
- 8:53>> Speaker I: It's, like a perfect cube. It
- 8:55looks like a bottle of sauce.
- 8:57>> Speaker G: Oh, nice. Like a wooden sauce
- 9:00square.
- 9:01>> Speaker D: Bottle of sauce. Got it.
- 9:03>> Speaker F: As they often are.
- 9:04>> Speaker J: Very Minecraftish.
- 9:05>> Speaker D: That's what I was thinking,
- 9:06too.
- 9:06>> Speaker G: Yeah, it's got, a little flag
- 9:09on the side.
- 9:09>> Speaker D: Yeah, the little flag is, the
- 9:11>> Speaker I: handle for the saucepan.
- 9:13>> Speaker D: It's going off, and now it's
- 9:14up.
- 9:16>> Speaker I: Right.
- 9:16>> Speaker F: Is that right, indicating that
- 9:18the mail is here?
- 9:19>> Speaker G: Yes, if that's how you want
- 9:20this world to work, Sure.
- 9:21>> Speaker D: I know, but I just want to
- 9:22make it sound like I want
- 9:23people who are listening to be
- 9:24like, oh, I instantly
- 9:25recognize that if it's up, it
- 9:26means that there's mail there.
- 9:27>> Speaker G: But I don't. I don't have that
- 9:28kind of mailbox. Well, it is
- 9:31up. it means I put mail in for
- 9:32the mail to take.
- 9:34>> Speaker D: Is that how it is? Okay, well,
- 9:35then it is.
- 9:36>> Speaker G: Well, but then if it's.
- 9:37>> Speaker H: You can make it that.
- 9:38>> Speaker E: I don't think there's any
- 9:39notifications that you have
- 9:40mail.
- 9:40>> Speaker G: No, it's literally you just
- 9:41check every day to see if you
- 9:42have mail.
- 9:43>> Speaker D: There are. There is a letter
- 9:45corner sticking out of the
- 9:47mailbox door. The sauce lid.
- 9:50>> Speaker F: I'm so glad that we're
- 9:51conforming to the American
- 9:52idea of how mail is delivered
- 9:54for the future.
- 9:55>> Speaker H: I know, right? Your own
- 9:56system.
- 9:57>> Speaker D: here's what I'll say. The
- 9:58mailbox, given that it is
- 10:00designed to look like a jar,
- 10:01you could
- 10:01>> Speaker G: have made two flags.
- 10:02>> Speaker D: That it is a jar of sauce is
- 10:04clear because it is a jar. And
- 10:06you see that there is a
- 10:07>> Speaker G: letter inside that seems like
- 10:09faulty design. And people
- 10:11steal his mail.
- 10:12>> Speaker D: That's on him. He designed.
- 10:14>> Speaker F: He did.
- 10:15>> Speaker D: He literally. I literally
- 10:16asked him, what does your
- 10:17mailbox look like? And he
- 10:18said, it's a dark.
- 10:18>> Speaker I: It's made out of, like, wood.
- 10:20>> Speaker G: Nope, it's not.
- 10:21>> Speaker D: It's not made out of wood.
- 10:22It's not made out of you.
- 10:23>> Speaker H: You gave me something to work
- 10:24with. You can't blame him for
- 10:25design when you changed it
- 10:27yourself. he did not specify
- 10:29he said wood.
- 10:30>> Speaker D: He just said wood.
- 10:31>> Speaker H: No, he said it when he first
- 10:32said it.
- 10:33>> Speaker J: Well, if the sun catches it
- 10:34just right, takes care of
- 10:37those pesky bills.
- 10:37>> Speaker F: Listen, nobody's gonna be
- 10:39stealing mail because that's a
- 10:41felony, and we know that
- 10:42people obey the law.
- 10:43>> Speaker H: It's a pretty big number. We
- 10:44were the first criminals. This
- 10:46my help, man.
- 10:48>> Speaker D: As per the name of the
- 10:49podcast.
- 10:49>> Speaker H: You see the mailman walking
- 10:52away from
- 10:52>> Speaker D: little Sauce's house, and you
- 10:55see a, little corner.
- 10:56>> Speaker H: Wait, was that the mail? It
- 10:59was the government.
- 11:02>> Speaker D: There's a corner of a letter
- 11:04sticking out of the mailbox.
- 11:05>> Speaker F: You start making dog noises.
- 11:09>> Speaker I: I'll peek outside, and I'll go
- 11:10grab the letter.
- 11:11>> Speaker D: Okay, you go grab the letter.
- 11:12You open it up, you bring it
- 11:13back, and on the letter, it
- 11:16looks like a big postcard. And
- 11:17it just says right on the
- 11:18front of it, need gold
- 11:21question mark
- 11:22>> Speaker G: junk mail for a right in the
- 11:24fire.
- 11:24>> Speaker H: And you pull it out, and
- 11:26you're like, ooh.
- 11:27>> Speaker D: And then you see.
- 11:28>> Speaker E: And just all that's left is a
- 11:30gold weight.
- 11:31>> Speaker D: You see, letters start to
- 11:33glow.
- 11:35>> Speaker G: And it says, one scam to rule
- 11:38them all.
- 11:41>> Speaker H: And in the scamdom scam them.
- 11:43>> Speaker D: it says, join at the ground
- 11:46level. Fat caps and hats. A
- 11:49brand new business opportunity
- 11:52from the brilliant mind of
- 11:54Alexandria Dusk Walker.
- 11:57>> Speaker J: Wait a, minute. This is a drug
- 12:00thing? You know, they were
- 12:03talking about those hats. That
- 12:05name. That name that was on
- 12:06the list.
- 12:07>> Speaker H: Nope.
- 12:07>> Speaker J: He pulls out the list right
- 12:09here.
- 12:09>> Speaker G: Don't like it. Don't like it.
- 12:10>> Speaker J: Alexandria.
- 12:11>> Speaker D: Oh, yeah, she has.
- 12:13>> Speaker J: She's like, the largest
- 12:15distributor.
- 12:16>> Speaker G: That's even worse.
- 12:17>> Speaker J: Of drugs.
- 12:18>> Speaker G: That's even worse. She's
- 12:21already onto us, literally.
- 12:23The night after the Place blew
- 12:25up. We get a letter to come
- 12:26work for her.
- 12:27>> Speaker J: I look to who the letter is
- 12:29addressed to.
- 12:30>> Speaker F: If there is a net, Des goes
- 12:33and looks at other mailboxes
- 12:34to see if everyone else got
- 12:36one.
- 12:36>> Speaker E: Committing mail fraud.
- 12:37>> Speaker D: So first, criminals.
- 12:39>> Speaker H: What are you on the back?
- 12:40>> Speaker D: So Des walks out the door to
- 12:42head and go look at the other
- 12:43mailboxes. In the meantime,
- 12:45Maki, you look at what it's
- 12:46addressed to.
- 12:46>> Speaker H: It says.
- 12:47>> Speaker D: It says to feather McGregor.
- 12:49And then underneath or current
- 12:51resident.
- 12:52>> Speaker J: Ah.
- 12:53>> Speaker F: See?
- 12:53>> Speaker J: They don't even know.
- 12:54>> Speaker D: And then, dez, as you go look
- 12:57into other people's mailboxes,
- 12:58I'm assuming you're going in
- 12:59the opposite direction as the
- 13:00mailman just came from.
- 13:01>> Speaker H: I'm just following the
- 13:03mailman. Following the
- 13:04mailman. So he, like, puts a
- 13:06letter in. You get ahead of
- 13:07him. It's like how the.
- 13:12>> Speaker D: Oh, this guy didn't get one.
- 13:13>> Speaker I: They're on to us.
- 13:14>> Speaker H: okay. Well, then you notice
- 13:16two things. One, all the.
- 13:17>> Speaker D: The mailboxes leading up to
- 13:19what he's delivered so far all
- 13:20have one of these in them.
- 13:21>> Speaker F: I collected all different
- 13:22name.
- 13:23>> Speaker H: M. You collected all the.
- 13:24>> Speaker G: Okay.
- 13:24>> Speaker D: And then you also see every
- 13:26time he reaches into his bag
- 13:28and pulls out letters, you
- 13:29see, like, he's just got,
- 13:30like, a stack underneath the
- 13:32letters. And so he's just
- 13:34like, every time he grabs a
- 13:35letter to deliver, he also
- 13:36grabs one of these and puts it
- 13:38in there.
- 13:38>> Speaker G: Oh, so these are. He's got a
- 13:40stack, but they're all
- 13:41addressed to each individual
- 13:43address.
- 13:44>> Speaker D: Yeah. And he's got them, in or
- 13:45organized. So there's going to
- 13:47be one of these going into.
- 13:48>> Speaker H: I would figure she just would
- 13:49have made a blank flyer. And
- 13:51he just is putting it with
- 13:52this. Why is she putting so
- 13:53much effort into the mailing
- 13:55magic? That's true.
- 13:56>> Speaker D: Well, you know, I thought it'd
- 13:57be funny to put his name on
- 13:58it.
- 13:59>> Speaker J: All the letters are. It's a.
- 14:00It's a spell, a simple spell
- 14:02that, you know, takes the mail
- 14:05that's next to it, it copies
- 14:07that name onto it. Or current
- 14:09or current resident.
- 14:11>> Speaker D: That is cool. That is a cool
- 14:12idea. I like that. And it fits
- 14:14the character, too. So.
- 14:15>> Speaker F: Yeah.
- 14:16>> Speaker G: Back to back. New spells made
- 14:18last night. Well, last episode
- 14:20was the imploding spell, and
- 14:22now it's the letter address
- 14:24spell.
- 14:25>> Speaker H: Two very different spells.
- 14:27>> Speaker D: It seems like it can drip
- 14:29level,
- 14:29>> Speaker A: but I feel like it's gotta at
- 14:30>> Speaker D: least be first or second to be
- 14:32able to last that long over
- 14:34the course of that many
- 14:35addresses.
- 14:36>> Speaker G: No, it's just A writing spell
- 14:37that's literally. What's it
- 14:39called?
- 14:39>> Speaker D: Let's call it a first level.
- 14:41>> Speaker G: It's like he's casting a first
- 14:43level spell.
- 14:44>> Speaker H: This is in the mailman.
- 14:45>> Speaker D: This is the original sender.
- 14:47>> Speaker G: Oh, okay.
- 14:48>> Speaker F: they could have made these
- 14:49through, like, the course of
- 14:51two weeks or something.
- 14:52>> Speaker D: That's also very possible.
- 14:53>> Speaker F: You spend eight hours casting
- 14:55however many level one spells.
- 14:57>> Speaker D: Whatever the case, there you
- 14:58go.
- 14:58>> Speaker F: Anyways, Des takes the rest of
- 15:00his flyers just, like, down
- 15:02this street. I just, I. I
- 15:03followed the mailman, and I'm
- 15:06either going to pickpocket the
- 15:07flyers out of his mailbag, or
- 15:09I'm just going to ask him for
- 15:11it. But I think taking them to
- 15:13secretly out of his bag would
- 15:14be a lot funnier.
- 15:15>> Speaker D: I mean, I think that's
- 15:17probably the only way that
- 15:18he's going to do it. So. Yeah,
- 15:19roll me a sleight of hand.
- 15:21>> Speaker I: All right.
- 15:21>> Speaker D: I would say, yeah, no, sleight
- 15:23of hand probably fits us the
- 15:24most.
- 15:25>> Speaker F: I think you're right.
- 15:27>> Speaker D: This is going to be the
- 15:28caption of this episode. The
- 15:29criminals go. The next step in
- 15:31their criminal activity.
- 15:32>> Speaker G: Mail fraud. They commit.
- 15:34>> Speaker H: That's what the caption is,
- 15:36the title. They commit mail
- 15:38fraud. Question mark, question
- 15:40mark. Not click fee, question
- 15:42mark.
- 15:45>> Speaker F: 14.
- 15:46>> Speaker D: 14. Just double check
- 15:51>> Speaker H: the mailman.
- 15:52>> Speaker D: You reach in there, and it
- 15:54just
- 15:54>> Speaker H: happens to be the same time
- 15:55that he reaches in there and
- 15:56your hands touch. And he goes,
- 15:59what are you. What are you
- 16:00doing with my mail?
- 16:03>> Speaker F: DEZ yells freak. And takes it
- 16:05anyway.
- 16:07>> Speaker H: He goes, hi. do.
- 16:08>> Speaker D: Do, just do, like, a dexterity
- 16:10save, I guess.
- 16:12>> Speaker H: He rolled a 19.
- 16:13>> Speaker D: He rolled a 20. And I said,
- 16:15what? And I said, let me. Let
- 16:16me try again, and we'll see.
- 16:18Then he rolled a 19.
- 16:19>> Speaker F: That's not even gonna work.
- 16:20That's a 14.
- 16:22>> Speaker D: So you see, you. You grab the
- 16:24letters, you start sprinting
- 16:25off.
- 16:25>> Speaker H: You look behind him, and all
- 16:26you
- 16:26>> Speaker D: see is him leaned down, and he
- 16:29takes like a. Like a runner's
- 16:30pose. And as he does, you see
- 16:33the muscles in his thighs
- 16:35flex, and you.
- 16:36>> Speaker I: It's.
- 16:36>> Speaker D: His legs are pure muscle.
- 16:39>> Speaker F: He's a cyclist.
- 16:41>> Speaker H: No, he's a mailman.
- 16:43>> Speaker D: He twists his ankle ever so
- 16:45slightly, and you just see a
- 16:48cloud of dust just flies out
- 16:50behind his legs. He's got his
- 16:52hands in, like, a, perfectly
- 16:54straight line as he. He
- 16:56sprints towards you, throwing
- 16:57his arms back. And you see his
- 16:59lips, like, coming out, going.
- 17:02As he runs up alongside you,
- 17:04cuts in front of you and just
- 17:05goes.
- 17:08>> Speaker H: That's the mail. You're
- 17:10Taking.
- 17:11>> Speaker D: And he's got, like, veins are
- 17:13bulging out of his entire
- 17:14body.
- 17:15>> Speaker H: And he says, you better get
- 17:16those back.
- 17:18>> Speaker F: Dez throws him up in the air.
- 17:22>> Speaker H: D2K pick up. And he starts
- 17:25shooting his hands up, and
- 17:26he's like, I'm the one that
- 17:27sorts the mail too, you fool.
- 17:30>> Speaker D: And he's just snatching him
- 17:31out of the air, putting them
- 17:33back into a nice stack in his,
- 17:35other hand. but it does offer
- 17:36you an opportunity to
- 17:38potentially escape.
- 17:39>> Speaker F: I'll escape.
- 17:40>> Speaker G: I'll get out of there.
- 17:41>> Speaker D: I'll get out of there.
- 17:41>> Speaker G: I wonder what's taking DEZ so
- 17:43long.
- 17:43>> Speaker D: All of a sudden, in the back
- 17:44door of Lil Sauce's place
- 17:47opens up and there's.
- 17:48>> Speaker H: DEZ writes on the whiteboard,
- 17:50do not mess with the mailman.
- 17:53Oh, Greg.
- 17:53>> Speaker I: Yeah, you don't want to mess
- 17:54with him.
- 17:54>> Speaker H: Have you seen his cows?
- 17:56>> Speaker D: His cows?
- 17:58>> Speaker G: Well, did you see him?
- 18:00>> Speaker F: DEZ writes on his little
- 18:01board. it's not a scam.
- 18:02>> Speaker H: We're not the only ones who
- 18:03got it.
- 18:04>> Speaker F: Or it's not targeted, I guess
- 18:05you should say.
- 18:06>> Speaker D: Skyler, the. The game master
- 18:08quickly writes down that his
- 18:10next character is going to be
- 18:11this massively muscular,
- 18:13calved mailman.
- 18:15>> Speaker F: Just an insanely high dex.
- 18:17>> Speaker D: And he's a barbarian.
- 18:18>> Speaker J: I was thinking of that one guy
- 18:20from my hero academia.
- 18:23>> Speaker F: Oh, yeah, with the. With the
- 18:24rockets on his legs.
- 18:25>> Speaker G: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:27>> Speaker F: Nice.
- 18:28>> Speaker D: awesome. So you guys know that
- 18:30it's not targeted towards you
- 18:31guys now, so there's that.
- 18:32>> Speaker G: Okay, so it. This chick's just
- 18:37hiring everyone off the street
- 18:39to come work for her drug
- 18:41company?
- 18:42>> Speaker D: there's a note at the bottom
- 18:43of the letter that says, if
- 18:44interested, please visit. And
- 18:46it's an address located in the
- 18:50Asgardia district.
- 18:51>> Speaker J: Isn't that where all the rich
- 18:52people live?
- 18:53>> Speaker D: It is one of two places where
- 18:55>> Speaker F: a lot of the rich people live.
- 18:56>> Speaker D: Yes.
- 18:57>> Speaker G: It's in the Hoity Toity
- 18:59neighborhood.
- 19:00>> Speaker I: Well, a shop like this would
- 19:01be probably true.
- 19:02>> Speaker D: Yeah, actually.
- 19:03>> Speaker G: So it's a hat factory.
- 19:05>> Speaker D: It is a hat business. That's
- 19:08what. You know.
- 19:09>> Speaker G: Oh, like Dino was the
- 19:11connection.
- 19:12>> Speaker I: Isn't.
- 19:12>> Speaker G: Isn't that what Dino was
- 19:14smuggling? Maki no, Kido Keto.
- 19:18Des, isn't that what Dino was
- 19:20smuggling was hats?
- 19:22>> Speaker F: Des nods in agreement.
- 19:23>> Speaker G: That's right.
- 19:24>> Speaker F: He was. They were putting the,
- 19:25hats in big crates.
- 19:27>> Speaker G: Why don't we just work for
- 19:28Dino? He said we he'd get us a
- 19:31job working for him smuggling
- 19:32hats. Remember I asked to be a
- 19:34smuggler because I'm a Pro at
- 19:36it.
- 19:36>> Speaker F: Des writes on his board. How
- 19:38many low level thugs are
- 19:40millionaires?
- 19:41>> Speaker G: That's a good point. But then
- 19:42again, this job's also low
- 19:44level. Line worker.
- 19:45>> Speaker F: Des erases his board. He
- 19:48writes on the board. Bank job.
- 19:51>> Speaker G: I like that.
- 19:52>> Speaker F: Also, we've come full circle.
- 19:54>> Speaker G: Also, this has nothing to do
- 19:56with the legionnaires, which
- 19:57we also agreed is where the
- 19:58money is.
- 20:00>> Speaker F: Does not.
- 20:02>> Speaker G: I mean, we also could just rob
- 20:03this lady, but that has
- 20:05nothing to do with the job.
- 20:06>> Speaker J: What do you say? It has
- 20:07nothing to do with the
- 20:08legionnaires.
- 20:09>> Speaker G: Euphoria linked to the
- 20:10legionnaires.
- 20:11>> Speaker J: Yeah, that professor guy was.
- 20:15He was in the legionnaire.
- 20:16>> Speaker G: Okay, but is this chick also.
- 20:21You know her? She sounds,
- 20:22famous.
- 20:24>> Speaker J: I would say odds are pretty
- 20:26good she's a politician.
- 20:29>> Speaker F: First of all, do politicians
- 20:30have any real liquid assets,
- 20:33or is it just a bunch of
- 20:36lucky, lucky stock exchanges?
- 20:39That's why we should. I mean,
- 20:40is she really a criminal? Is
- 20:42she just a politician? What's
- 20:44the difference?
- 20:46>> Speaker D: Lil Sauce, you have obviously
- 20:48heard of Alexandria Dusk
- 20:50Walker. She is a very wealthy
- 20:55and very famous businesswoman.
- 20:57she owns currently three
- 20:59companies. One is called
- 21:01Eternal Radiance, which
- 21:03focuses on selling beauty
- 21:05products. One is called
- 21:06Fortune's Embrace, which is
- 21:09sort of like an investment
- 21:11company. You're not entirely
- 21:12sure how it all works. And the
- 21:14other one is called Imperious,
- 21:15Empyrean Ascendancy, which is
- 21:18sort of like a weird retreat,
- 21:20self help type thing. Large
- 21:22corporations, in the area, or
- 21:24wealthy individuals with
- 21:25groups will usually go out to
- 21:27this retreat. It's supposed to
- 21:29be kind of like, learn more
- 21:30about yourself, discover
- 21:31yourself, find your true self.
- 21:34Kind of one of those things.
- 21:36They might be taken into a
- 21:38sweat Hut and then sold
- 21:40lemonade once, they're really
- 21:42hot and dried out.
- 21:44>> Speaker G: Okay, those three things sound
- 21:46nice,
- 21:46>> Speaker H: but none of them had to do
- 21:47>> Speaker G: with her selling hats.
- 21:49>> Speaker D: Well, obviously, based on the
- 21:51letter that you just received,
- 21:51she's now starting a fourth
- 21:53business.
- 21:53>> Speaker I: Also.
- 21:54>> Speaker G: Fat caps, new business,
- 21:55pyramid scheme. Wait, but then
- 21:57how is. If this is a new
- 21:59business, I was Dino.
- 22:00Smuggling her hat.
- 22:01>> Speaker F: No, they just started the
- 22:03smuggling.
- 22:05>> Speaker G: Oh, yeah, that's right. I
- 22:06know. Just did a shipment just
- 22:08recently.
- 22:09>> Speaker F: He was fight. They were firing
- 22:12Sprout because they're rolling
- 22:14out this new delivery system.
- 22:17>> Speaker G: Oh, so this is all. So they.
- 22:19They. That was like the trial
- 22:21run, and now they're trying to
- 22:23make it big.
- 22:24>> Speaker F: Correct.
- 22:25>> Speaker G: Oh, I like how. I just had a
- 22:27full conversation with Des.
- 22:31>> Speaker H: He's writing all of this down
- 22:32on his chest. That's why you
- 22:33would just have to imply that
- 22:34if it's, if he's talking
- 22:35>> Speaker D: to Roerich, I mean, all things
- 22:37considered, you didn't say
- 22:38like a lot of words. You'd say
- 22:40like two to three words and
- 22:41he'd be like, oh, and then
- 22:42that means that, this and
- 22:43you're like. And then this and
- 22:45he's like, oh, yeah.
- 22:46>> Speaker H: And then this.
- 22:47>> Speaker G: Incorrect. Yes.
- 22:48>> Speaker D: Yeah.
- 22:49>> Speaker H: Underlining.
- 22:50>> Speaker G: Okay. Oh, Dino. Yes. Dino is
- 22:55one of the guys we met at the
- 22:57rocks place. The rocks. and
- 23:00he's a smuggler. He's really
- 23:02great guy. Definitely moved up
- 23:05my best friends list since
- 23:06there was an opening near the
- 23:08top, recent opening. And he
- 23:10smuggled hats with euphoria in
- 23:13them to the, the factory we
- 23:15went to that blew up.
- 23:16>> Speaker F: I have a question about the
- 23:18appearance of these hats. We
- 23:19did mention that they appeared
- 23:23like knit hats, right?
- 23:25>> Speaker D: Little beanies kind of like
- 23:26beanies. Yeah.
- 23:27>> Speaker F: Are we under the assumption
- 23:28that these are hand knitted
- 23:30hats and we just destroyed
- 23:32some old ladies like 30 hours
- 23:35of work?
- 23:36>> Speaker D: That's a very good point. I
- 23:38would say that in a world of
- 23:39magic there's definitely ways,
- 23:40there's got
- 23:41>> Speaker I: to be a way to mass produce.
- 23:42>> Speaker D: Yeah, mass produce to some
- 23:43extent with knitting.
- 23:44>> Speaker I: Especially if they're selling
- 23:45their rugs in them.
- 23:45>> Speaker J: I won't like in Aragon, how
- 23:48they make money making.
- 23:49>> Speaker I: They legit just have, they
- 23:51legit just have a hundred old
- 23:52ladies just like
- 23:53>> Speaker G: Happy Gilmore where he just
- 23:55has the
- 23:55>> Speaker H: old folks home, just making,
- 23:57making stuff for it. That's
- 23:58also a fair possibility.
- 24:00>> Speaker D: Where who's making the hats?
- 24:02You're not sure. But you guys
- 24:03just saw completed, finished
- 24:05hats. And then they were
- 24:07putting, there's like a little
- 24:08button pouch inside the seam
- 24:11of the hat and they were
- 24:12putting these, these vials
- 24:13inside of them.
- 24:14>> Speaker F: I won't rest until I ruin some
- 24:16geriatric woman's day.
- 24:18>> Speaker D: Jackson and I are going to go
- 24:19out and just go ham on.
- 24:21>> Speaker G: Probably just elderly for a
- 24:23male.
- 24:24>> Speaker H: Oh yeah, that raccoon's their
- 24:26tank. Where's my Social
- 24:29Security station?
- 24:31>> Speaker F: Man, those guys at Discover
- 24:33are the only ones you talk to
- 24:34me anymore.
- 24:35>> Speaker D: All right, so what are you
- 24:36guys doing?
- 24:37>> Speaker G: Okay, so here's the trains of
- 24:38thoughts.
- 24:42>> Speaker J: Good wanderer, Roy.
- 24:43>> Speaker H: Thank you.
- 24:45>> Speaker G: So my thoughts are.
- 24:46>> Speaker J: I see I got a one track mind.
- 24:50>> Speaker H: You guys might have to pick up
- 24:51the pieces here.
- 24:52>> Speaker G: My brain is stuck on a loop
- 24:55right now.
- 24:56>> Speaker J: Well, now that's all I can
- 24:58think about.
- 24:58>> Speaker H: That's all I can think of. I
- 25:00broke my print. Oh, no.
- 25:02>> Speaker G: So we can go after the
- 25:04legionnaires following the
- 25:07trail of this lady. We could
- 25:08go work for this lady. But
- 25:10that sounds like chump pace. I
- 25:12don't like that idea.
- 25:12>> Speaker F: DEZ gives a thumbs down.
- 25:14>> Speaker G: Or bank job.
- 25:16>> Speaker D: Yes, I mean, all things
- 25:18considered. One and two that
- 25:19you just listed are
- 25:20technically together. Yes,
- 25:22because by working for her,
- 25:24you could find out more in
- 25:25theory about local banks.
- 25:28Maybe that too.
- 25:29>> Speaker J: Well, maybe we build up her
- 25:31confidence and then she allows
- 25:33us to do the bank deposit.
- 25:35>> Speaker H: Oh, and then we could do bank
- 25:37job.
- 25:38>> Speaker J: No, I just. I think if we. If
- 25:41we take a job as some m.
- 25:42Delivery boys or work in the
- 25:44factory, we at least be able
- 25:45to scope the place out without
- 25:48draw on suspicion.
- 25:50>> Speaker G: Also, it's like a one time job
- 25:52take.
- 25:53>> Speaker J: Yeah, I don't plan on giving
- 25:54my two week notice.
- 25:55>> Speaker G: I don't really. I don't really
- 25:57want to sit through hours of
- 25:59training though.
- 26:01>> Speaker D: Well, you'll never know what's
- 26:02required until you go on over
- 26:03and find out.
- 26:04>> Speaker F: No one really watches those
- 26:06videos anyway. We just like
- 26:07speed click until the
- 26:08slideshow is over.
- 26:10>> Speaker J: We'll get a box of donuts. It
- 26:11won't be that bad.
- 26:13>> Speaker E: So we.
- 26:14>> Speaker G: We're just scouting the place.
- 26:17>> Speaker J: Seems like the easiest way to
- 26:18figure out more about it. The
- 26:20operation.
- 26:21>> Speaker F: So did the pamphlet kind of
- 26:22like. Does it outline like a
- 26:24seminar or is it just a job
- 26:26opportunity?
- 26:27>> Speaker D: It just says invest, in this
- 26:30amazing new business
- 26:31opportunity.
- 26:32>> Speaker G: We invest?
- 26:33>> Speaker D: Yes. And then it says come
- 26:34down to. And then it gives the
- 26:36address.
- 26:36>> Speaker G: This isn't even a hiring. It's
- 26:38just an investment
- 26:38opportunity.
- 26:39>> Speaker D: It could be me, it could be an
- 26:40investor time.
- 26:42>> Speaker G: Well, what's it say?
- 26:44>> Speaker D: That's what I told you. What
- 26:45it says. It's. It's kind of
- 26:46vague.
- 26:47>> Speaker F: What if we scope. What if we
- 26:48scope out the place? Des is
- 26:50writing this on his board.
- 26:51what if we scope out the place
- 26:53and if anybody gives money, we
- 26:58just like take it. Like, okay,
- 27:03surely there's a drop off box
- 27:05for like investitures, right?
- 27:08>> Speaker G: We just Like a big tip jar.
- 27:10>> Speaker F: Yeah, like a big tip jar. We
- 27:12just take it and we just take
- 27:13the tip. We go there and
- 27:16there's. If we see money, we
- 27:18take it and we're out.
- 27:19>> Speaker G: And then we all act like we
- 27:20don't know you.
- 27:22>> Speaker H: We go, oh, that thief.
- 27:25>> Speaker G: That definitely didn't come in
- 27:26at the same time as us.
- 27:27>> Speaker F: Gotcha.
- 27:28>> Speaker G: Oh, he's getting away. Oh, I
- 27:32slipped and I blocked the
- 27:33door.
- 27:34>> Speaker D: All right, so you guys headed
- 27:36to this address?
- 27:37>> Speaker F: Yes.
- 27:38>> Speaker D: Yes. Okay.
- 27:52>> Speaker D: Okay, so you guys, you guys
- 27:54are headed to the address
- 27:55listed on this postcard, for
- 27:57lack of better words, you
- 27:58arrive, and it is this massive
- 28:00building. Like, it sticks out
- 28:02over all the others. It's
- 28:03incredibly ornate. you can see
- 28:05that some of the, area around,
- 28:08like, the trim around the
- 28:09entrance to this building has
- 28:10sort of like a. A faux gold
- 28:12trim around it to emphasize
- 28:14the value and the monetary,
- 28:17like, extravagance of this
- 28:19facility. And all it says on
- 28:22top of it is dusk Walker
- 28:25Industries. You guys are just
- 28:27standing outside of this
- 28:28building.
- 28:29>> Speaker F: do I see any windows that I
- 28:33can.
- 28:33>> Speaker E: We're like a guard or a front
- 28:35desk.
- 28:36>> Speaker H: There's a.
- 28:37>> Speaker D: Well, no, you guys aren't even
- 28:39inside of it. You guys are
- 28:40just standing outside on the
- 28:41street. Yes. There's a nice
- 28:42big door. you see a.
- 28:44>> Speaker E: Does it look welcoming?
- 28:46>> Speaker A: Yeah.
- 28:46>> Speaker H: Okay.
- 28:47>> Speaker D: Absolutely.
- 28:47>> Speaker G: It's like forebodings making
- 28:49ominous music around,
- 28:50>> Speaker A: like, I dare you to walk in
- 28:52me.
- 28:52>> Speaker G: There's not, like, a private
- 28:54property.
- 28:54>> Speaker E: Beware of dog. No trespassing.
- 28:56>> Speaker H: No, no.
- 28:58>> Speaker D: In fact, a very nice gnome
- 29:00couple is walking down, and
- 29:02they wave at you guys, and
- 29:03then they walk inside.
- 29:04>> Speaker G: They look rich.
- 29:05>> Speaker D: They look like they're hoping
- 29:07they will soon be rich. They.
- 29:09Oh, you notice that they have
- 29:10one of those letters in their
- 29:11hand.
- 29:12>> Speaker G: Oh, they got a letter. Look,
- 29:13rich. Richer than us.
- 29:16>> Speaker I: What if we somehow could turn
- 29:20this whole investment thing
- 29:22into them giving us money? No,
- 29:25like, we send. Okay, hang on,
- 29:26hang on. They're just sending
- 29:27out letters saying, oh, we got
- 29:28a big old nice building.
- 29:29>> Speaker G: Oh, you know what I mean?
- 29:31>> Speaker I: But if we send out letters
- 29:32saying we got this investment
- 29:33opportunity at, like, half
- 29:35their cost, and let's say, you
- 29:37know, like, 10 gold pieces,
- 29:38and we can, like, 500 people
- 29:40to give us 10 gold pieces.
- 29:42>> Speaker G: Why these are opportunity.
- 29:44>> Speaker I: Well, this is obviously a
- 29:45scam, so we scam the people.
- 29:48>> Speaker D: I. I mean, I'm not trying to
- 29:50tell you guys what to do by
- 29:51any means, but I love the idea
- 29:52that, like, each. Not maybe
- 29:54not each one of you, but maybe
- 29:57separately, you guys walk in
- 29:59and. And attempt something.
- 30:03>> Speaker G: What, though?
- 30:04>> Speaker A: But that's the beauty of it.
- 30:05>> Speaker D: That's the beauty of it is
- 30:06that, I mean, you guys don't
- 30:07have to decide it all
- 30:08together. One of you could
- 30:09just walk in and, like, give
- 30:10it a shot. I don't know. I
- 30:12don't know.
- 30:12>> Speaker A: I'm just.
- 30:12>> Speaker D: I'm just here to.
- 30:13>> Speaker F: You mean. You mean, like, all
- 30:14we all attempt to pitch a
- 30:17separate scam to see
- 30:18>> Speaker D: if people give us money or. Or
- 30:20just take a different route?
- 30:22>> Speaker H: I think we just need a Scam to
- 30:23solve.
- 30:24>> Speaker G: Start with. Not just say, hey,
- 30:25I want money.
- 30:27>> Speaker H: I mean, you guys don't even
- 30:28down to try that strategy.
- 30:30>> Speaker D: To be fair, you guys don't
- 30:31even know how this works yet,
- 30:32so somebody's got to kind of,
- 30:33like, do that. As you said,
- 30:35the initial, scouting, I say
- 30:38in quotation marks, to find
- 30:39out how any of this even
- 30:40works.
- 30:41>> Speaker F: Yeah. I was about to say. Des
- 30:42puts on a fake mustache and
- 30:44goes inside.
- 30:44>> Speaker G: Rorick has a costume.
- 30:46>> Speaker D: Who's going in?
- 30:46>> Speaker F: We're holding hands.
- 30:48>> Speaker E: Oh, okay.
- 30:48>> Speaker D: You're holding hands. Okay.
- 30:49>> Speaker E: You'll never suspect a gay
- 30:51couple.
- 30:51>> Speaker D: DEZ and. Sorry, the Mustachio.
- 30:54DEZ and, Keto. Mustachioed or
- 30:58not, blonde wig.
- 30:59>> Speaker H: Oh, on a.
- 31:01>> Speaker E: On a.
- 31:01>> Speaker D: On a Cobalt. That's
- 31:03interesting.
- 31:04>> Speaker F: It's. It's a real, like,
- 31:05Bleakley and Jumbo situation
- 31:07going on.
- 31:09>> Speaker I: I love that.
- 31:10>> Speaker G: That's great.
- 31:10>> Speaker D: Okay, so you guys go in
- 31:12holding hands.
- 31:13>> Speaker G: Roark disappears behind into
- 31:15an alleyway and comes back out
- 31:17wearing a costume.
- 31:19>> Speaker D: Okay. Of the red.
- 31:22>> Speaker G: Oh, I don't remember what my
- 31:23wrestling costume was, but,
- 31:25No, I have another costume
- 31:26from being a hurricane
- 31:28trickster. and my costume is,
- 31:30like, a bright purple and,
- 31:32like, pink striped, like it
- 31:36looks like in Pocahontas.
- 31:38>> Speaker D: Okay.
- 31:38>> Speaker G: But the one rich guy wears.
- 31:40Yeah.
- 31:42>> Speaker H: Governor Radcliffe is like
- 31:43that. It, like, puffs out
- 31:46around the chest. It's got,
- 31:47like, round leg things with,
- 31:49like, frills on the end. And I
- 31:51have a giant, like, rich
- 31:53>> Speaker D: hat on with a big old feather
- 31:55>> Speaker H: coming out of it. Yes, big
- 31:55feathers.
- 31:56>> Speaker D: Okay.
- 31:56>> Speaker H: And I've got a. Cut some
- 31:58glasses on. Okay. And a giant
- 32:01muscle. I was hoping you're
- 32:02wearing two monocles.
- 32:04>> Speaker G: I am wearing two monocles.
- 32:05>> Speaker H: That's. It's not two glasses.
- 32:07It's not bare glasses. Two
- 32:08monocles. And I do have a
- 32:10monocle from stealing it from
- 32:13the rich guy. And I had one
- 32:14with the costumes. And I have
- 32:15two monocles on. And I'm
- 32:17walking up and I'm spinning a
- 32:19cane.
- 32:19>> Speaker D: Okay.
- 32:19>> Speaker H: Like, I'm walking up that.
- 32:21Behind these.
- 32:22>> Speaker D: Okay, so we'll start with DEZ
- 32:24and Keto. so you guys walk
- 32:26into this place as you.
- 32:27>> Speaker E: I'm the Gnomeo and Juliet.
- 32:29>> Speaker D: Come. Right. Right. it's a
- 32:31very ornate. It's kind of like
- 32:33walking into a fancy hotel.
- 32:35Right. It's, The floors are
- 32:36tiled. There's columns with
- 32:38this beautiful.
- 32:40>> Speaker F: What are.
- 32:40>> Speaker D: What are countertops usually
- 32:41made out of? Marble. Marble.
- 32:43Thank you. there's even a
- 32:45statue in the center of a big
- 32:48fountain, and it looks like A
- 32:50tiefling woman and she is
- 32:54holding out her hand and
- 32:55that's where the water spouts
- 32:56out of as if magically from
- 32:58her hand and then drips down
- 33:00or faucets down to the, to the
- 33:03water below in the, in the
- 33:04fountain. ahead of you is a
- 33:06big long front desk, also very
- 33:07similar to it at a hotel.
- 33:09Right. There's different like
- 33:09stations that you can go to,
- 33:11with a different attendant
- 33:12behind each one. And in behind
- 33:15one that's open, you see what
- 33:18looks like a young elven man,
- 33:22possibly half elf. You're not
- 33:24sure, it's hard to tell. and
- 33:25he kind of waves over
- 33:26>> Speaker A: to you and he says, excuse me
- 33:28over here. I can help you.
- 33:30>> Speaker F: Welcome.
- 33:30>> Speaker A: Welcome to Dusk Walker's
- 33:33industry. how can I help you
- 33:35guys today?
- 33:36>> Speaker F: Dez saunters over and just,
- 33:38lays feather McGregor's
- 33:40invitation down on the table.
- 33:42We're both Kenku. We all look
- 33:44the same. I get it. He doesn't
- 33:46know the difference.
- 33:47>> Speaker A: Oh, well, let me see here. Oh,
- 33:49yes, of course. You received
- 33:51our, invitation to partake in
- 33:53the fat caps and hats. Brand
- 33:56new business opportunity. I
- 33:58would be more than happy to
- 33:59tell you all about it.
- 34:01>> Speaker E: If you are interested, start
- 34:02talking behind Des and ready
- 34:06to accomplish business.
- 34:07>> Speaker A: I like that attitude. Yes. So
- 34:09fat caps and hats is a brand
- 34:11new industry by the brilliant
- 34:13mind of Alexandria Dusk
- 34:15Walker. The idea behind it is
- 34:17that we have manufactured some
- 34:19incredibly and beautiful, if I
- 34:22might say, hats, knitted hats.
- 34:24Now, what only Alexandria Dusk
- 34:27Walker realized not long ago
- 34:29is that these hats are going
- 34:32to be the new trend. These
- 34:34things are going to be flying
- 34:35off the shelves. And we
- 34:36thought to ourselves, why sell
- 34:37them on shelves? We here at
- 34:39Dusk Walker Industries do not
- 34:41have physical stores. We would
- 34:42much rather put these in the
- 34:44hands of capable business
- 34:46individuals to help spread the
- 34:48wealth a little bit. So for a
- 34:50small basic package and a fee
- 34:52associated with it, we can get
- 34:53you a whole pack of beautiful,
- 34:57beautiful fat caps that you
- 35:00can sell all on your own. What
- 35:02do you say?
- 35:03>> Speaker F: Des, looks to Keto and he, he
- 35:06mimes a triangle with his
- 35:08hands.
- 35:09>> Speaker E: It sounds very much like a
- 35:11pyramid scheme. I've heard it
- 35:12called social marketing as
- 35:14well.
- 35:14>> Speaker A: I have. I know not about any
- 35:17pyramids, triangles, or other
- 35:19geometric shapes outside of,
- 35:23normal, normal shape usage.
- 35:27With that being said, there is
- 35:28a unique other side of this
- 35:30opportunity as well. You see,
- 35:31if you purchase a basic
- 35:34package for only 250 gold
- 35:37pieces, you get 50 different
- 35:39hats. Now here's the beauty of
- 35:40it is that you can sell these
- 35:42Fat caps for whatever price it
- 35:44is that you want. That is
- 35:46entirely up to you. Some of
- 35:48these caps are of similar
- 35:50design to others, but some of
- 35:51them are very rare. So it's
- 35:52important that you be able to
- 35:54market the idea that they are
- 35:55a rare cap. Right, A rare
- 35:57design. but on top of it,
- 35:59there's another opportunity
- 36:00hidden beneath, which is that
- 36:02you too can recruit
- 36:03individuals to help you sell
- 36:04these caps. Because selling 50
- 36:06caps is an impressive feat for
- 36:08one or two individuals. Even
- 36:11so, when you recruit other
- 36:13individuals, they'll purchase
- 36:14their basic packages. And the
- 36:15beauty of it is that part of
- 36:17the profits that they make
- 36:19while they're selling their
- 36:20hats will go right into your
- 36:22pockets.
- 36:23>> Speaker E: I have always wanted to be my
- 36:25own boss.
- 36:26>> Speaker A: Yes, that's exactly what we
- 36:28here at Dusk Walker Industries
- 36:30are, trying to do. Help you
- 36:31all become your own bosses.
- 36:34>> Speaker E: And this means I could work
- 36:35from home and I can work on my
- 36:37own flexible schedule.
- 36:39>> Speaker A: You can most certainly work on
- 36:41your own schedule and from
- 36:42your own home, invite people
- 36:44in, have what we call hat
- 36:46parties.
- 36:46>> Speaker E: That's the perfect lifestyle
- 36:48to raise a family with.
- 36:49>> Speaker A: Indeed, indeed. Think of the
- 36:52wealth you'll accumulate.
- 36:53You'll be able to send all
- 36:54your kids to the wizarding
- 36:56college.
- 36:57>> Speaker E: I need to start taking
- 36:58pictures before, so I can
- 36:59start taking pictures after.
- 37:02>> Speaker A: So can I put you down for a
- 37:04basic package? Perhaps two?
- 37:07>> Speaker E: What opportunities are there
- 37:08for upward growth in the
- 37:09company?
- 37:10>> Speaker A: Well, of course, the more
- 37:12individuals that you can
- 37:13secure as employees, or as we
- 37:16like to call them, your
- 37:17success line, the more money
- 37:19that you will be making and
- 37:21the higher up that will put
- 37:22you. In fact, in fact, if you
- 37:24were to purchase a basic
- 37:25package, you were able to sell
- 37:28those 50 caps that come with
- 37:29it. Buy another package, sell
- 37:31another 50 caps, or between
- 37:32the two of you, you're able to
- 37:34sell 100 caps total, and
- 37:36you're able to get 10 success
- 37:39line individuals underneath
- 37:41you. You will be moved up to
- 37:42the premier sellers package.
- 37:44It's a thousand gold pieces.
- 37:46But of course, you'll have
- 37:47more than enough once you've
- 37:49sold the caps from the basic
- 37:50packages, and you'll be able
- 37:52to purchase that package,
- 37:53it'll put you at a new level.
- 37:55And if you can sell 500 caps
- 37:58after that, you'll be put at
- 38:01the CEO package. Now, here's
- 38:04where it gets really
- 38:05interesting is that in one
- 38:07week, to help promote this
- 38:08brand new business venture,
- 38:10this investment opportunity,
- 38:12Alexandria Duskwalker herself
- 38:15is going to be at a huge party
- 38:19event at the Worthington Event
- 38:21Center. And she's going to
- 38:22speak. She's going to
- 38:23encourage all of you that have
- 38:25been selling these incredible
- 38:26camps. And she's going to do
- 38:27an entire big party event.
- 38:29There will be a private
- 38:30dinner, even opportunity. You
- 38:32can meet with her, shake her
- 38:33hand, get to talk to her
- 38:34yourself. That is only limited
- 38:37to those who have achieved the
- 38:38CEO package and become
- 38:40prestige sellers.
- 38:43>> Speaker E: Let me confer with my partner
- 38:45here. If this is an
- 38:46opportunity that we want
- 38:47nothing else are able to
- 38:49commit to.
- 38:50>> Speaker A: Yes, this is an important
- 38:51decision, a big investment,
- 38:52but I would you say it's gonna
- 38:56be a great one.
- 38:56>> Speaker D: But.
- 38:56>> Speaker A: Yes, yes, of course. Please
- 38:58talk amongst yourself about
- 38:59the possibility of getting in
- 39:00on the ground floor.
- 39:01>> Speaker F: DEZ writes on his board. I. I
- 39:04want money. I don't want to
- 39:06spend money.
- 39:07>> Speaker G: There's a loud crack of a cane
- 39:10on the, on the desk and there
- 39:12is a.
- 39:12>> Speaker D: Did you just like push your
- 39:13way through?
- 39:14>> Speaker G: I have, I'm on the side, I'm
- 39:16on the side of them. I'm like
- 39:17the end of it. And I crack my,
- 39:19my cane as it hits the desk
- 39:21and I goes.
- 39:22>> Speaker H: And you hear a voice.
- 39:23>> Speaker G: Okay, I'm going to try my best
- 39:24to do a snobby voice, but my
- 39:26goblin voice. I, don't want,
- 39:28the grandfall.
- 39:30>> Speaker H: I want the.
- 39:32>> Speaker A: Well, I'm sorry, sir, but the
- 39:33requirements are that you sell
- 39:35at least.
- 39:35>> Speaker G: Oh, money's no expense.
- 39:38>> Speaker A: I completely understand. But
- 39:39you have to keep in mind that
- 39:41a big part of.
- 39:42>> Speaker G: No, I'm good friends with
- 39:45Duska herself.
- 39:48>> Speaker A: Well, I'd be more than happy
- 39:49to, give her a ring and let
- 39:50you know that you're here and
- 39:51maybe she can come down and.
- 39:53>> Speaker G: Please do.
- 39:55>> Speaker D: Okay, Give me just a moment.
- 39:56>> Speaker H: Just tell her good friend
- 39:58Gaston. And I say, slapped my
- 40:00belly. Which had a pillow in
- 40:01it. And it, and it like just,
- 40:03it wiggles and it goes.
- 40:04Gaston, Belly Wiggle is here.
- 40:08>> Speaker A: Okay?
- 40:09>> Speaker D: And he turns around and he, he
- 40:10gets on this little, you see
- 40:11these massive, long golden
- 40:13pipes that stretch upwards to
- 40:16the roof of the ceiling and
- 40:17kind of just disappear into
- 40:18it. And he picks up what looks
- 40:19like kind of like on those old
- 40:20fashioned phones, how it had
- 40:21the cup end that you put up to
- 40:23your ear. He picks up one of
- 40:24those and you see him move a
- 40:26couple of numbers on the
- 40:27little dial. The whole thing
- 40:28looks very much like an old
- 40:29telephone. And he puts it up
- 40:32to his ear for a moment and
- 40:33then he holds it up to his
- 40:34mouth
- 40:34>> Speaker A: and he says, yes, we have a
- 40:35Gaston. Ah, Belly Wiggle here
- 40:38to see Alexandria.
- 40:40>> Speaker H: Sir Gaston.
- 40:41>> Speaker A: Oh, my apologies, Sir Gaston
- 40:44Esquire Esquire.
- 40:45>> Speaker D: And he holds, up the earpiece
- 40:48to his ear for a moment, and
- 40:50>> Speaker A: he says, oh, I see. all right,
- 40:52thank you.
- 40:53>> Speaker D: And he places it back down,
- 40:54and he walks.
- 40:55>> Speaker H: I let myself up, and I raised
- 40:57her walking.
- 40:57>> Speaker A: Oh, excuse me, sir.
- 41:00>> Speaker D: And, you walk towards the
- 41:01door, and you hear, like, a
- 41:03sound, and as you approach it
- 41:05and you reach for it. It's
- 41:07locked.
- 41:09>> Speaker H: I do just.
- 41:11>> Speaker A: I'm sorry, sir, but,
- 41:12Alexandria Duskwalker, ah, is
- 41:14in a meeting right now. she's
- 41:17unable to see any guests at
- 41:18the moment.
- 41:19>> Speaker F: while he. While he's
- 41:20distracted with Roark. Can I
- 41:22tell if anyone's already
- 41:23purchased a package?
- 41:25>> Speaker D: The couple that walked in
- 41:26before you guys, they are,
- 41:28like, reaching in their. Their
- 41:29wallets and their. Or their
- 41:31purse or whatever, and they're
- 41:32pulling out money.
- 41:33>> Speaker E: But is.
- 41:33>> Speaker F: Is there, like, a lock box
- 41:34behind the counter?
- 41:36>> Speaker G: Say, when he turned around,
- 41:37could we see, like, a spot
- 41:38where he's putting the money?
- 41:40>> Speaker D: you watch this couple as
- 41:42they're doing their
- 41:42transaction, and he takes the
- 41:44money, and you see him drop it
- 41:45into a tube. No, no, that
- 41:48actually looks a lot like the
- 41:50ones that shoot up into the.
- 41:51>> Speaker G: Yeah, the tube goes up as
- 41:54well.
- 41:54>> Speaker D: You're not sure if it goes up
- 41:55or down this one.
- 41:57>> Speaker A: Yeah.
- 41:58>> Speaker D: Sorry, it's not the same tubes
- 41:59that they used for the phone.
- 42:00>> Speaker E: Uhhuh. Uh-huh.
- 42:01>> Speaker F: But he dropped it on.
- 42:02>> Speaker D: He drops it into this tube
- 42:04that's on his side of the
- 42:05desk.
- 42:06>> Speaker F: Okay. Or her, I guess.
- 42:07>> Speaker D: I didn't establish who the
- 42:08other.
- 42:08>> Speaker F: So I guess we can't tell if
- 42:10it, like, L shapes and then
- 42:11up. right.
- 42:11>> Speaker D: Right.
- 42:12>> Speaker F: But we can maybe assume that
- 42:13there's a basement or a sub
- 42:14basement, even.
- 42:16>> Speaker H: Is there.
- 42:18>> Speaker G: Why. Wait, is there a. Is this
- 42:22premise the factory where
- 42:24these hats are made?
- 42:28>> Speaker A: No, sir. The hats are made
- 42:29outside of this facility. this
- 42:31is just where we have set up
- 42:33this business. This, this
- 42:35investment opportunity.
- 42:36>> Speaker G: It's like. Oh, interesting.
- 42:39It's like her investment. Is
- 42:41this related to her investment
- 42:43practices, or is this his own
- 42:46thing? She has an investment
- 42:49firm?
- 42:50>> Speaker D: Oh, yes.
- 42:51>> Speaker A: Oh, you're speaking about.
- 42:52>> Speaker G: so this is different. Okay.
- 42:55>> Speaker A: Fortune's Embrace. Yes.
- 42:56>> Speaker G: I was rather curious why it
- 42:59wasn't at her firm. Fortunes
- 43:01of Grace.
- 43:02>> Speaker A: No, no, no, sir. You can do
- 43:03your Fortunes Embrace,
- 43:05activities here, too. sorry,
- 43:06my apologies. Yes. Dusk Walker
- 43:08Industries. You can do any of.
- 43:10>> Speaker D: Of,
- 43:11>> Speaker A: You can partake in any of Dusk
- 43:13Walker's businesses here.
- 43:16>> Speaker D: I just assumed in my sincerest
- 43:18apology for doing so, they
- 43:19were
- 43:20>> Speaker A: here for the Brand new fat
- 43:22caps and hats.
- 43:23>> Speaker H: No, I was here to check up
- 43:24>> Speaker G: on all of my investment
- 43:26opportunities.
- 43:27>> Speaker A: Yes, of course. we can have an
- 43:29associate come out and meet
- 43:30you to discuss your,
- 43:32investment with fortunes
- 43:33embrace. Yes, of course. I
- 43:34can. I can definitely call
- 43:35somebody in for that.
- 43:36>> Speaker G: Oh, splendid.
- 43:37>> Speaker A: Yes.
- 43:37>> Speaker G: Okay, I'll wait. And I just
- 43:39sit down on the floor.
- 43:40>> Speaker A: Yes. Oh, there are chairs,
- 43:43sir, if you would like to be a
- 43:44bit more comfortable.
- 43:45>> Speaker H: Help me up. I wiggle my
- 43:47fingers.
- 43:49>> Speaker A: I'll get somebody for that.
- 43:51>> Speaker D: And he turns around and he
- 43:52pulls up the other phone and
- 43:53he dials a different set of
- 43:54numbers and he
- 43:55>> Speaker A: says, yes, we have somebody
- 43:56here who is, here to speak
- 43:58about their fortunes.
- 43:59investment wheels. Yes, yes,
- 44:01of course. Okay, fantastic.
- 44:03Alexis will be out in just a
- 44:04moment to help you, sir.
- 44:05>> Speaker H: Stand it. Roark looks at you
- 44:07guys. He goes. I had no idea.
- 44:09What I'm gonna do
- 44:12>> Speaker F: is. Can I. Can I see? Were the
- 44:15stairs behind the locked door
- 44:18or like a lift? What did
- 44:20Roark, when he was gonna go
- 44:22speak with the head?
- 44:23>> Speaker D: They were already closed. It's
- 44:25just you heard the trunk to
- 44:26suggest that something.
- 44:27>> Speaker F: Gotcha. Now, is that like a
- 44:28door to a stairwell or just a
- 44:31door?
- 44:33>> Speaker G: I don't know. That's what
- 44:34Rourke assumed it was. It was
- 44:35the staircase.
- 44:37>> Speaker F: Gotcha.
- 44:38>> Speaker G: How many doors are in this
- 44:39room?
- 44:40>> Speaker D: I'd say there's a set on
- 44:41either side.
- 44:42>> Speaker G: Oh, okay.
- 44:43>> Speaker F: I go to the side that wasn't
- 44:45locked.
- 44:46>> Speaker G: Okay.
- 44:47>> Speaker A: sure.
- 44:48>> Speaker F: I turn around, I'm crossing my
- 44:50legs, doing the potty dance.
- 44:51>> Speaker A: Oh, you need to use the
- 44:53facilities. Yes, of course.
- 44:54Well, unfortunately, the
- 44:56bathrooms are for customers
- 44:57only. but I'd be more than
- 44:59happy to allow you into the
- 45:01restrooms if you were
- 45:02interested in purchasing a
- 45:04basic package, which would
- 45:05then put you into customer
- 45:07status.
- 45:07>> Speaker E: We are interested in the basic
- 45:10package. However, our short
- 45:13list of potential clients have
- 45:15very specific needs. So I'm
- 45:17wondering if you have in your
- 45:20inventory a set of periwinkle
- 45:23hats.
- 45:24>> Speaker A: Explicitly.
- 45:25>> Speaker E: Explicitly periwinkle. That is
- 45:27the only color they will buy.
- 45:29>> Speaker D: Otherwise, I may have a
- 45:31package.
- 45:32>> Speaker E: You should go check the back.
- 45:33>> Speaker A: Majority periwinkle. We
- 45:35certainly wouldn't have. We
- 45:36try to avoid too many
- 45:37duplicates in. In the, in the
- 45:39hat coloration.
- 45:40>> Speaker E: This is for a school uniform.
- 45:44They must all be periwinkle.
- 45:46>> Speaker H: Well, if I were you, Pembroke
- 45:48M. I went there.
- 45:49>> Speaker G: see, class of 45.
- 45:53>> Speaker A: Well, if I were you, I would.
- 45:54>> Speaker E: No, you wouldn't want to be
- 45:55the only student with a
- 45:56magenta hat while all your
- 45:58Peers wear periwinkle. It's
- 46:00just any meaning the magenta.
- 46:03>> Speaker H: No, Sorry.
- 46:05>> Speaker A: Well, I completely understand
- 46:06the, need, unfortunately, this
- 46:09particular, investment
- 46:09opportunity, it's not equipped
- 46:11quite for something like that.
- 46:12But, with that being said, I
- 46:14would highly recommend, if you
- 46:15would be
- 46:15>> Speaker H: interested, I need your hats
- 46:17on four. And I. I stand up,
- 46:19and I slap my cane. Your hats
- 46:21on to Pembroke standard.
- 46:24>> Speaker A: Well, they certainly would be
- 46:25of Pembroke Standard. But if
- 46:27you were to purchase multiple
- 46:29basic packages, you would have
- 46:31a very good chance of having
- 46:32enough periwinkle hats that
- 46:34would allow you to distribute
- 46:35to the entire school, body at
- 46:38the, What was the universe or
- 46:39the school again?
- 46:40>> Speaker H: Penbrooke.
- 46:41>> Speaker A: Penbrooke.
- 46:41>> Speaker H: Yes.
- 46:42>> Speaker A: Penbrook. And who knows? You
- 46:43might even have some magenta
- 46:45hats, which you could then
- 46:46sell to the other school and,
- 46:47therefore increasing your
- 46:49profits.
- 46:50>> Speaker G: Do not sell, to Pine Brook.
- 46:54They are the lesser of the
- 46:56books.
- 46:57>> Speaker D: Exactly.
- 46:58>> Speaker G: The.
- 46:59>> Speaker E: The very nature of selling to
- 47:01the opposition would then
- 47:04discredit our entire sales and
- 47:06partnership.
- 47:07>> Speaker A: Well, then, of course, you
- 47:08would have plenty of inventory
- 47:09to sell, in an individual
- 47:10basis or, maybe to another
- 47:12customer who is a little bit
- 47:13less, specific. Whatever the
- 47:15case, the way that you run
- 47:16this business is entirely, for
- 47:18you to decide and for you to,
- 47:20profit from. Are you okay,
- 47:25sir?
- 47:25>> Speaker D: Do you need a glass of water?
- 47:26>> Speaker G: Something in my throat. You
- 47:28say, hey, can run it however
- 47:29they want. This gentleman
- 47:31wants 50
- 47:34>> Speaker E: periwinkle periwinkle hats.
- 47:36>> Speaker H: And you're saying that can't
- 47:38be. I grew up on my standard
- 47:41at
- 47:41>> Speaker G: my company, where the
- 47:43customer.
- 47:43>> Speaker H: And I slap my cane can on his
- 47:45desk is always right. Could I
- 47:49make a charm rollers
- 47:50persuasion roll? I'm trying to
- 47:53convince him to do
- 47:54>> Speaker G: what he wants, which is to get
- 47:56>> Speaker D: him a, pack of exclusively.
- 47:58>> Speaker H: He wants a specific pack.
- 47:59>> Speaker G: And I think he's trying to get
- 48:01him to leave or get someone to
- 48:02go get this.
- 48:03>> Speaker E: To go to the back room.
- 48:05>> Speaker G: He wants a back room him to
- 48:06leave or something.
- 48:07>> Speaker F: Okay, okay.
- 48:08>> Speaker G: Okay.
- 48:08>> Speaker F: What you.
- 48:08>> Speaker G: I rolled a 20. Not natural.
- 48:10>> Speaker D: Okay.
- 48:10>> Speaker A: Give me just a moment.
- 48:12>> Speaker H: Excel seal.
- 48:13>> Speaker I: He.
- 48:13>> Speaker H: He stepped.
- 48:14>> Speaker D: He turns around. He turns
- 48:16around and he goes over to,
- 48:17the back wall. And he looks
- 48:18over at the other associate
- 48:19that's working with the
- 48:19gnomes, at the moment, and he
- 48:21says,
- 48:21>> Speaker A: I will be right back. this
- 48:23will only take a moment, I'm
- 48:24sure. Alexis is going to be
- 48:25out in just a moment as well.
- 48:27she will help the, individual
- 48:28over on the floor.
- 48:30>> Speaker F: Somebody reach over and unlock
- 48:31the doors.
- 48:32>> Speaker G: Oh, I can. Okay, I've mage
- 48:34hand invisible.
- 48:35>> Speaker D: Okay. He walks over and he
- 48:37starts to dial and as the the
- 48:41spinny thing retracts on the
- 48:43dial, all of a sudden he goes
- 48:45and just drops through the
- 48:46floor.
- 48:47>> Speaker G: I'm gonna, I guess do mage
- 48:49hand to was there.
- 48:51>> Speaker H: I was watching him.
- 48:52>> Speaker G: No I wasn't because I wasn't
- 48:53looking at the door. I don't
- 48:54know what button to push when
- 48:55he locked the door. So never
- 48:57mind. I'm just going to stand
- 48:59there and Mike all right.
- 49:02>> Speaker D: With that, I think we will
- 49:03close things out for tonight
- 49:05to leave you guys with enough
- 49:07time to determine how you will
- 49:09go forward with this potential
