- 0:59Speaker 4: I mean, by the bonfire. That's what feels right.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Perfect for it. It's Annie and Cole. You've made it
- 1:04Speaker 2: to Friday, and we are going to celebrate big.
- 1:06Speaker 1: We've got New Country Cash coming up, $ 8.
- 1:08Speaker 2: 50.
- 1:09Speaker 1: We'll tell you what time to win some money, and then...
- 1:11Speaker 1: Spooky season is here.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Yeah, it is. Indie Scream Park tickets up for grabs. 635,
- 1:17Speaker 4: a chance for you to win.
- 1:18Speaker 3: They did what? You mentioned this to me yesterday. And then,
- 1:23Speaker 3: of course, it was all over my TikTok. The internet
- 1:26Speaker 3: is mourning the loss of Hot Pockets Crispy Sleeve.
- 1:30Speaker 2: But it's been gone for years. Yes, that's what I
- 1:32Speaker 2: was going to say.
- 1:33Speaker 1: I don't know how often you eat Hot Pockets because
- 1:35Speaker 1: it's not something that like now as a grown adult
- 1:39Speaker 1: with actual money that I eat that often. But every
- 1:41Speaker 1: once in a while, I just crave the nonsense that
- 1:43Speaker 1: is a Hot Pocket. And so I'll get them. And
- 1:46Speaker 1: this happened like a while ago. But I remember before
- 1:50Speaker 1: they were like so adamant you had to put it
- 1:52Speaker 1: in that weird little fake metal box.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Like heat box.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Right, yep.
- 1:56Speaker 2: It's not metal, obviously. You should have metal in a microwave,
- 1:58Speaker 2: but it looked like it.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Yeah, it kind of feels like it, right.
- 2:01Speaker 1: For it to cook correctly. Now you're telling me this
- 2:04Speaker 1: whole time that was just a lie.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I didn't need it.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Sandy and Cole, 97.1 Hank FM.
- 2:11Speaker 2: We want you to go.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Get scared.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Indie scream bark tickets up for grabs this morning. If
- 2:20Speaker 3: you can name that scream, you're going to text your
- 2:22Speaker 3: answer to us. 317-663-9797.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Let's hear it. Please, God. This is God's love.
- 2:41Speaker 1: This movie literally made me afraid to go to sleep
- 2:43Speaker 1: as a kid.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Because he was going to come for you in your dreams.
- 2:47Speaker 1: And now I just watched a clip of it to
- 2:49Speaker 1: get that scream. And I thought, this is what I
- 2:52Speaker 1: was scared of?
- 2:54Speaker 3: I know I need to go back and watch some
- 2:57Speaker 3: movies because I remember like paranormal activity movies.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Messed me up.
- 3:02Speaker 3: I remember like I fell asleep with the remote in
- 3:04Speaker 3: my hand because I thought I was going to use
- 3:06Speaker 3: the remote as some sort of weapon.
- 3:07Speaker 4: And then it woke me up because it fell out
- 3:09Speaker 4: of my hand. And then I was back away. But yeah,
- 3:11Speaker 4: name that scream this morning for any screen park tickets.
- 3:14Speaker 3: 317-663-9797.
- 3:14Speaker 4: Danny and Cole 97 one Hank FM.
- 3:15Speaker 3: This one may be a little bit harder.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Than the ones we've had this week.
- 3:26Speaker 4: I think so.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Maybe the little bit extra of the clip might help
- 3:30Speaker 3: you out. Take a listen to it again this morning.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Name that scream for Indie Screen Park tickets.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Please, God.
- 3:39Speaker 1: This is God. I was giving the hint that I
- 3:46Speaker 1: was afraid to go to bed because that's where Freddy
- 3:48Speaker 1: would come to you.
- 3:50Speaker 4: The name of that movie this morning is.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Nightmare on Elm Street, which I went back and I
- 3:57Speaker 1: watched the clips. I'm like, this is kind of cheesy,
- 3:58Speaker 1: but there is one part that will always freak me out.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It's anytime horror movies decide that it's a good idea
- 4:04Speaker 1: to use little kids.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Yes, totally.
- 4:07Speaker 2: In some creepy form.
- 4:08Speaker 4: No, I don't like it.
- 4:11Speaker 2: So at some point, yeah.
- 4:18Speaker 1: No.
- 4:18Speaker 2: No, no, absolutely not. That will always... Be creepy.
- 4:23Speaker 4: It's Good Review Friday with Annie and Cole.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Last weekend, I was in your town, Bloomington.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:34Speaker 2: That you love.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Oh, I do. We tried to act like we were
- 4:39Speaker 1: still in college and go out on Kirkwood. Too many people.
- 4:44Speaker 4: You know what?
- 4:45Speaker 3: It's been a while since I have tried to go
- 4:47Speaker 3: out when it's like party time, when it's like Friday night,
- 4:50Speaker 3: Saturday night. We're pretty much all day on Saturday because
- 4:54Speaker 3: the last few times I've gone, we've gone on off days.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Off hours.
- 4:58Speaker 4: I'm like, yeah, like cool. Back at my college bars.
- 5:01Speaker 1: So you're like, where's the good review, Annie? Because of that,
- 5:04Speaker 1: we're like, what would an adult do? So we went
- 5:06Speaker 1: to Oliver Winery. Yeah.
- 5:09Speaker 2: And did tasting. And I am so terrible with names.
- 5:12Speaker 2: But the woman who was helping us, she used to
- 5:14Speaker 2: be a teacher. She's retired. And this is what she's doing.
- 5:18Speaker 4: That's fun.
- 5:19Speaker 2: In retirement. And she was lovely. Like, she was funny.
- 5:24Speaker 2: She's like, I know it says they're only supposed to
- 5:26Speaker 2: have this many tasings, but do you want to try
- 5:27Speaker 2: another one? We're like, yes, we do.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Yeah, we do. Always do. It was lovely.
- 5:32Speaker 5: I love that.
- 5:33Speaker 4: I have two shout outs today. Both vets. The City
- 5:39Speaker 4: Line vet in Quad Cities. You're ever in Quad Cities.
- 5:43Speaker 4: You're ever in Quad Cities in need of that.
- 5:45Speaker 3: And then the vet that we use here on a
- 5:47Speaker 3: regular basis is the College Park Wellness Clinic. And because
- 5:53Speaker 3: Reggie ate one of baby Josie's binkies and needed emergency surgery.
- 5:57Speaker 3: And we came back and I took him back to
- 6:02Speaker 3: our bed, which we love and we really trust.
- 6:06Speaker 4: And I love that she was like, I would have
- 6:08Speaker 4: done all the same things they did.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Because when you take them to a different person, you're like,
- 6:12Speaker 3: am I making the right decision?
- 6:14Speaker 4: And so that was very comforting as well. Got a
- 6:17Speaker 4: good review?
- 6:18Speaker 3: Call or text 317-663-9797.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Alien Call. 97.1 Hank FM.
- 6:26Speaker 1: So yesterday I spent most of my afternoon putting up
- 6:32Speaker 1: my Halloween decorations.
- 6:33Speaker 2: October 1st, check the box.
- 6:35Speaker 4: I was out there.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I had my ladder out, putting on my spider webs,
- 6:38Speaker 2: putting up.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Ooh.
- 6:39Speaker 2: My favorite thing is when.
- 6:40Speaker 1: You buy something end of season and you forget you
- 6:43Speaker 1: bought something end of season.
- 6:45Speaker 4: You do that.
- 6:46Speaker 3: A lot.
- 6:46Speaker 4: You find Halloween stuff or Christmas stuff.
- 6:48Speaker 2: A lot.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I forgot I bought one of those like prismatic purple
- 6:54Speaker 1: spiders that they had like at Walmart and Sam's Club
- 6:57Speaker 1: last year.
- 6:57Speaker 4: I saw you post a picture of the box. I
- 7:00Speaker 4: have not seen it out of the box, though. She's
- 7:02Speaker 4: a beaut.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Anyway, I was out there and I'm working and I
- 7:06Speaker 1: realized something about my husband, Rob and I, and I
- 7:09Speaker 1: thought it'd be interesting to see if maybe there's something
- 7:11Speaker 1: like this in your life.
- 7:13Speaker 2: We're going to talk about it with Annie and Cole
- 7:14Speaker 2: want to know coming up.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Do you really want to know? Annie and Cole want.
- 7:19Speaker 1: To know what's something that you were like super into,
- 7:22Speaker 1: like you.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Love, but your spouse, your significant other just doesn't get
- 7:28Speaker 2: like they put.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Up with it.
- 7:29Speaker 2: They don't.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Judge you for it but you can tell that they're
- 7:33Speaker 1: not very enthusiastic about it for that I think it's
- 7:36Speaker 1: my decorations like my husband Rob tolerates it but he
- 7:40Speaker 1: doesn't really want a part of it you know what
- 7:41Speaker 1: I mean yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Like he knows for Christmas too.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Yeah Christmas he hates even more because Christmas I make
- 7:48Speaker 1: him get on the ladder and put the lights up
- 7:50Speaker 1: on like yeah you know you gotta get up on
- 7:53Speaker 1: the roof Halloween I don't really ask for his help
- 7:56Speaker 1: I do most of that like myself yeah Christmas he
- 8:00Speaker 1: does not like So yesterday I'm like working real hard
- 8:03Speaker 1: on the Halloween decorations and he comes home from work
- 8:05Speaker 1: and like he goes in the house. I'm out there
- 8:08Speaker 1: and finally pokes his head. I was like, you don't
- 8:10Speaker 1: really need help, do you? And I was like, no,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I'm fine.
- 8:14Speaker 5: Whatever.
- 8:14Speaker 1: And so, yeah, he was just inside the whole time
- 8:16Speaker 1: while I'm like in my little lab outside.
- 8:20Speaker 4: You know, I was trying to think of answers for
- 8:21Speaker 4: myself and I think I've got one.
- 8:22Speaker 3: But before I came up with one in our house,
- 8:26Speaker 3: I actually came up with one for your husband, Rob.
- 8:29Speaker 4: I know what you're going to say. Go ahead, then.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Fantasy football? Is that what you're going to say?
- 8:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I loathe. Loathe.
- 8:37Speaker 3: You know, and as you were setting this up, too,
- 8:39Speaker 3: you said they don't.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Judge you for it, but I think you do judge. No,
- 8:43Speaker 4: I judge.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I judge.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I judge hard on that one.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Very hard.
- 8:48Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 4: I don't care.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Please stop telling me about how.
- 8:53Speaker 4: What the heck? What's the quarterback?
- 8:54Speaker 3: Drake May.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Drake May.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Please stop telling me how Drake May is ruining your life.
- 8:57Speaker 4: I don't care.
- 8:58Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 9:00Speaker 3: I think probably in my house, it's about 90% of movies. Like,
- 9:06Speaker 3: I love going to movies. I love watching movies. I
- 9:08Speaker 3: love going to the theater, getting popcorn. And my wife,
- 9:11Speaker 3: most of the time is like, they're too long. I
- 9:13Speaker 3: can't sit through this.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Text or give us a call. 317-663-9797. Hank FM.
- 9:22Speaker 1: What are you into that maybe your significant other is
- 9:24Speaker 1: just like, you know what? That's your thing. I don't
- 9:28Speaker 1: really want to be a part of it.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Jay on the Army Air text line is right there
- 9:32Speaker 3: with you. It says, my husband does not help put
- 9:34Speaker 3: up any decorations for the holiday.
- 9:35Speaker 4: All he does is carry them up from the basement.
- 9:37Speaker 4: It says, there you go. You know what?
- 9:39Speaker 1: I wish my husband was home. Usually, if he's home,
- 9:41Speaker 1: he will help carry it out, but I was doing
- 9:43Speaker 1: it while he was at work, and I didn't realize how...
- 9:46Speaker 1: Much stuff I have to carry out. Yeah.
- 9:49Speaker 3: I think about that with Christmas decorations. I'm usually sweating
- 9:51Speaker 3: by the time I get them all downstairs.
- 9:53Speaker 2: And I'm like short.
- 9:54Speaker 1: So trying to like climb the ladder, like in my,
- 9:57Speaker 1: cause I have one closet that holds all of our stuff.
- 9:59Speaker 4: So it's all the way up to there.
- 10:00Speaker 2: The ceiling.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Of decorations. And so I have to like carefully balance
- 10:04Speaker 1: it on my head as I walk down the stepladder.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I'm like, I hope Rob doesn't come home and just
- 10:09Speaker 1: find me on the floor.
- 10:10Speaker 4: You know, I.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Was being judged because I do judge my husband for
- 10:15Speaker 1: fantasy football. I did think of something though that he
- 10:17Speaker 1: loves that I don't really get that you also love
- 10:21Speaker 1: that I am like, okay, yeah, I'll go, but I
- 10:23Speaker 1: don't get.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Your guys's level. And that's the Indy 500.
- 10:30Speaker 4: That's strange of you I think.
- 10:32Speaker 1: It's a great time I don't like he literally best
- 10:36Speaker 1: days of his life he would tell.
- 10:37Speaker 4: You is I think it's the best day of the
- 10:39Speaker 4: year every year it is my favorite day of the year.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Jen also in the armchair text line says my husband
- 10:44Speaker 3: does not understand my fascination to true crime my wife
- 10:49Speaker 3: went through this phase as well she was always listening
- 10:51Speaker 3: to the podcast and watching the documentaries and all stuff
- 10:54Speaker 3: and I I tried I really did I tried to
- 10:56Speaker 3: listen to them I tried to watch them and I
- 10:58Speaker 3: just didn't.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Get it either Friday Friends, 97.1 Hank FM.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Joining us today on Friday Friends, Dane Nutty, President and
- 11:09Speaker 1: CEO of the Indy Public Safety Foundation. We're here to
- 11:12Speaker 1: have you talk about the big event you have coming on,
- 11:15Speaker 1: the Frontline Annual Benefit Concert with Clint Black and Midland.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Tell us a little bit about the event.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Yeah, we're so excited. So this year is our third
- 11:26Speaker 5: year at Everwise for Frontline, which is the signature fundraising
- 11:30Speaker 5: event of the Indy Public Safety Foundation. And the idea
- 11:34Speaker 5: is pretty simple. It's bring people together to support those
- 11:37Speaker 5: who serve our city, either as police officers, firefighters, EMTs,
- 11:40Speaker 5: or other public safety officials.
- 11:42Speaker 3: For someone who hasn't experienced a frontline show before, what
- 11:45Speaker 3: makes this event different from a typical concert or fundraiser?
- 11:48Speaker 4: Yeah, great question.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Right before the show, we do what's called a tactical tailgate,
- 11:53Speaker 5: where we bring out all the first responders, their apparatus,
- 11:57Speaker 5: their tools, their equipment, and we let people really get
- 12:00Speaker 5: behind the scenes with those folks that serve us every day.
- 12:04Speaker 5: And we often know that People may not experience or
- 12:08Speaker 5: engage with their first responder unless it's during perhaps one
- 12:11Speaker 5: of the worst moments of their lives. So being able
- 12:14Speaker 5: to have that positive, meaningful engagement really builds trust and
- 12:19Speaker 5: builds engagement in our community. And then what better than
- 12:22Speaker 5: Clint Black in Midland for a huge party to support
- 12:25Speaker 5: those who serve our city?
- 12:26Speaker 1: Well, you're the president and CEO of the Indy Public
- 12:28Speaker 1: Safety Foundation. What made you want to get involved in
- 12:31Speaker 1: such a way?
- 12:33Speaker 5: That's a great question. So I started my career here
- 12:36Speaker 5: because I married a police officer and really got to
- 12:38Speaker 5: learn what our first responders do every day. I think
- 12:43Speaker 5: generally speaking, our community has a very small percentage of
- 12:47Speaker 5: knowledge of what goes on at 24 hours a day
- 12:49Speaker 5: in our community and a significant investment of resources that
- 12:54Speaker 5: is made. But really, just the human connection of first responders,
- 12:58Speaker 5: they really do care about Indianapolis. They care about making
- 13:01Speaker 5: our community better. And so if we can help support
- 13:05Speaker 5: through the organization that work and those people, I think
- 13:09Speaker 5: it's a great opportunity to connect to everyone.
- 13:11Speaker 4: All right.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Well, how do we get tickets and how do we
- 13:14Speaker 2: come to the event?
- 13:15Speaker 5: Yes, you can visit our website, which is ndpsf.org. You
- 13:19Speaker 5: can learn about what we do or click on the
- 13:20Speaker 5: front line tab to hear all about the event. You
- 13:23Speaker 5: can also search for Clint Black or Midland or Everwise
- 13:27Speaker 5: on LiveNation.com and grab your tickets there.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Okay.
- 13:30Speaker 4: So if people.
- 13:32Speaker 3: unfortunately can't make the concert. Is there another way to support?
- 13:38Speaker 4: Yes, absolutely.
- 13:39Speaker 5: They can visit our website, like I said, ndpsf.org. There's
- 13:44Speaker 5: a donate section there that not only provides like a
- 13:47Speaker 5: secure portal for donations, but really goes over what investment
- 13:52Speaker 5: in our organization can do for the city of Indianapolis
- 13:54Speaker 5: and those that serve it.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Well, Dane, thank you so much for talking with us
- 13:59Speaker 1: and for everything you do with the Indy Public Safety Foundation.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Let's hope that this event, October 9th, can be great.
- 14:04Speaker 2: It always is. Clint Black, Midland, raising money for Indy's
- 14:10Speaker 2: first responders. Thank you, Dane.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Thanks, man.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 14:14Speaker 4: I appreciate it. It's time to celebrate Hanksgiving. Starring the
- 14:17Speaker 4: band Perry and Graylin James. Presented by Hank FM and
