- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 0:04Speaker 1: In 2011, a picture of Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein
- 0:10Speaker 1: taking a walk together in Central Park really initiated a
- 0:15Speaker 1: lot of conversation around Prince Andrew and his relationship with
- 0:21Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. And it kind of got the ball rolling,
- 0:24Speaker 1: if you will. Now, we all know that Jeffrey Epstein
- 0:28Speaker 1: and Prince Andrew and their relationship, well, it was Jeffrey Epstein's,
- 0:33Speaker 1: you know, crown jewel, right? Prince Andrew was one of
- 0:36Speaker 1: the biggest gets Jeffrey Epstein could ever hope to have.
- 0:39Speaker 1: And then to get him pictured with him walking in
- 0:43Speaker 1: the park after being a convicted sex offender? Talk about
- 0:47Speaker 1: helping to rehabilitate your image. And then, not only that,
- 0:52Speaker 1: at this very same time when they were taking this
- 0:54Speaker 1: walk in the park, Epstein was putting together this huge
- 0:58Speaker 1: dinner for Jeffrey Epstein, I mean for Prince Andrew at
- 1:01Speaker 1: his house, that included so many famous people. We're talking
- 1:05Speaker 1: Katie Couric, George Stephanopoulos, the list goes on for scumbags
- 1:10Speaker 1: who accepted this man's hospitality. And then at the same time,
- 1:14Speaker 1: we'll come back and tell you, oh, I had no
- 1:16Speaker 1: idea what Epstein was up to. Look, I have a
- 1:18Speaker 1: hard time believing that, especially considering we know the kind
- 1:22Speaker 1: of weird-ass decor this dude had at his house. You
- 1:25Speaker 1: mean to tell me you walk into some dude's house
- 1:27Speaker 1: and there's pictures of little girls and young girls or
- 1:30Speaker 1: teens or Bill Clinton in a dress on the wall
- 1:33Speaker 1: and you don't think that shit's kind of weird? That
- 1:37Speaker 1: says a whole lot about you and the company you
- 1:40Speaker 1: keep if nobody finds any of that weird. And furthermore,
- 1:44Speaker 1: I just don't believe that none of you people knew
- 1:47Speaker 1: what was up. All of these rich, you know, the
- 1:50Speaker 1: smartest people in the room, at least that's what they
- 1:51Speaker 1: tell us all the time. Until it's time to be
- 1:54Speaker 1: the smartest people in the room. Then they don't have
- 1:56Speaker 1: any idea what happened. Oh, we don't know how the
- 1:58Speaker 1: economy spun out of control. We have no idea how
- 2:01Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein was diddling little kids for 400 decades. Today's
- 2:08Speaker 1: article is from The Mirror. Headline, exclusive. Jeffrey Epstein wanted
- 2:12Speaker 1: Park Pick, which brought down Andrew to repair his reputation.
- 2:17Speaker 1: That's what a lot of this was. Don't ever doubt
- 2:20Speaker 1: that Jeffrey Epstein was trying to move the way he
- 2:23Speaker 1: was moving after his arrest to try and refurbish that image.
- 2:27Speaker 1: He wanted to come back into public life. And he
- 2:30Speaker 1: truly thought that he didn't do anything wrong. Remember when
- 2:32Speaker 1: he said his crimes were like, you know, stealing a bagel?
- 2:38Speaker 1: The reality is his crimes were the sort of thing
- 2:41Speaker 1: that gets you sent to prison for 120, 130 years.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Just ask Keith Ranieri. This article was authored by Matthew Dresch.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein wanted photographers to take the infamous picture of
- 2:57Speaker 1: him and Prince Andrew in New York Central Park, it
- 3:00Speaker 1: is claimed. Freelance reporter Annette Withridge, who tracked down Andrew
- 3:05Speaker 1: in New York, believes Epstein hoped the image would rehabilitate
- 3:09Speaker 1: his reputation. Look, if you're trying to rehabilitate your reputation...
- 3:14Speaker 1: hanging out with a prince is probably a good way
- 3:16Speaker 1: to start, right? Especially considering at this point, nobody really
- 3:20Speaker 1: knew that Uncle Touchy was, well, Uncle Touchy. Now, there
- 3:24Speaker 1: was some talk about his dalliances, right? How he liked,
- 3:28Speaker 1: you know, hanging out with women and he was a
- 3:30Speaker 1: jet setter, all of that shit. But that's fine with me. Again, look,
- 3:33Speaker 1: I don't care what consenting adults do. If a man
- 3:37Speaker 1: or a woman wants to be promiscuous in their life,
- 3:39Speaker 1: it's not my business. I don't care. You know, you
- 3:42Speaker 1: want to run out there and and have relations with
- 3:46Speaker 1: this one, that one, the other one, and your cousin Tommy,
- 3:48Speaker 1: I don't really give a shit, okay? As long as
- 3:50Speaker 1: it's all with consenting adults. When we're talking about Jeffrey Epstein, however,
- 3:55Speaker 1: we know that's not the case. We know this dirty
- 3:58Speaker 1: rat bastard was abusing girls at such a huge clip
- 4:02Speaker 1: that it's almost hard to imagine. She fiercely denies the
- 4:09Speaker 1: image was staged as one royal source previously claimed. Miss
- 4:12Speaker 1: Withridge and her photographer staked out Epstein's Manhattan mansion for
- 4:17Speaker 1: more than 24 hours before they finally saw the pair
- 4:19Speaker 1: leaving in February of 2011. Now remember, this got the
- 4:24Speaker 1: ball rolling, right? People started to ask questions about who
- 4:28Speaker 1: Prince Andrew was, what he was up to, why he
- 4:30Speaker 1: was with Jeffrey Epstein, and this really got the ball rolling.
- 4:37Speaker 1: The journalist told the Mirror, my theory is Epstein wanted
- 4:40Speaker 1: to be pictured. Why go out in the bitter cold
- 4:43Speaker 1: for a quick walk around Central Park? I think Epstein
- 4:46Speaker 1: was relying on the fact a photographer was outside. Yeah, well,
- 4:50Speaker 1: I don't doubt that. There's a lot of freelance journalists
- 4:55Speaker 1: and paparazzi types that are always staking out places like
- 4:59Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's house. Not because they're worried about, you know,
- 5:02Speaker 1: nailing him or holding him to account for what he did,
- 5:05Speaker 1: but they're looking for that next cool picture. He would
- 5:09Speaker 1: have known we were there. We weren't trying to hide.
- 5:13Speaker 1: He had been in prison and he wanted to rehabilitate
- 5:15Speaker 1: his reputation. Who better to be seen with than the
- 5:17Speaker 1: Queen's son? He was saying to the world that Prince
- 5:21Speaker 1: Andrew is my friend. And for Epstein, a lot of
- 5:25Speaker 1: it was the status, right? Oh, this one's my friend.
- 5:28Speaker 1: That one's my friend. If these people are hanging around me,
- 5:31Speaker 1: how could I possibly be guilty of any of these
- 5:34Speaker 1: crimes that they're talking about? and for a long time
- 5:38Speaker 1: he was able to wrap himself in that armor. And
- 5:40Speaker 1: it worked out well for him for a long time too,
- 5:43Speaker 1: didn't it? Andrew stayed at Epstein's mansion shortly after the
- 5:48Speaker 1: pedophile was released from jail for child sex offenses. The
- 5:53Speaker 1: iconic picture of the pair walking together in New York
- 5:55Speaker 1: Central Park came about as Miss Withridge received a call
- 5:59Speaker 1: from the news of the world in December of 2010.
- 6:01Speaker 1: So this fool says, Andrew I mean, I'm going to
- 6:06Speaker 1: fly across the pond to go and break up with
- 6:08Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. We're going to end our friendship. But I'm
- 6:11Speaker 1: such an honorable cat that I got to fly across
- 6:13Speaker 1: the pond to do that. I can't do it over
- 6:15Speaker 1: the phone or via email or have one of my
- 6:18Speaker 1: servants do it. You know what the reality is? He
- 6:22Speaker 1: wasn't going over to break off anything. He was going
- 6:25Speaker 1: over here to let Jeffrey know, hey, look, I'm not
- 6:27Speaker 1: going to be able to talk to you in public anymore.
- 6:29Speaker 1: This is our last hurrah. Because, you know, we got
- 6:31Speaker 1: to keep things on the down low now that you're
- 6:33Speaker 1: out in the forefront again. I can't have my name
- 6:35Speaker 1: dragged into this. Basically what was going on. But from
- 6:38Speaker 1: Epstein's perspective, that's not how this worked, right? Epstein has
- 6:43Speaker 1: his grips into you now. He has his claws into
- 6:45Speaker 1: you if you're Prince Andrew. And you got to play
- 6:47Speaker 1: ball with whatever Epstein wants to do. So if Epstein says,
- 6:51Speaker 1: let's go take a walk in Central Park, you better
- 6:53Speaker 1: believe this Mr. Magoo looking MF-er Prince Andrew is on
- 6:57Speaker 1: the leash and he's taking a walk with him. The
- 7:02Speaker 1: now defunct paper told her Prince Andrew was in town
- 7:05Speaker 1: and asked her to track him down. Ms. Witheridge said
- 7:08Speaker 1: they didn't know where he was staying, but I immediately
- 7:11Speaker 1: thought of Ghislaine Maxwell as he'd been spotted with her before.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I called Jay Donnelly, her photographer, and we followed Ghislaine
- 7:19Speaker 1: around town, but there was no sign of Andrew. We
- 7:23Speaker 1: gave up at 11 p.m. and I thought, where else
- 7:25Speaker 1: could he be? Then I thought of Epstein as Ghislaine
- 7:29Speaker 1: and Epstein went hand in hand. I went to Epstein's
- 7:32Speaker 1: place in the morning and saw British undercover officers talking
- 7:36Speaker 1: into their cufflinks. So imagine being one of these abused
- 7:40Speaker 1: traffic girls and walking into Epstein's and seeing the SAS
- 7:44Speaker 1: or British Secret Service or whoever the hell these guys
- 7:47Speaker 1: are standing out there talking into their cufflinks like James Bond. Now,
- 7:51Speaker 1: all of a sudden, as one of these girls, you're
- 7:53Speaker 1: saying to yourself, holy shit, this is legit. I better
- 7:55Speaker 1: play ball and do whatever they say. They already have
- 7:58Speaker 1: undercover agents out here. If I don't listen to what
- 8:01Speaker 1: Epstein tells me to do, what's going to happen to
- 8:02Speaker 1: me or my family? And don't think that didn't play
- 8:05Speaker 1: a part in it. And don't think that Epstein didn't
- 8:08Speaker 1: use that and manipulate those situations into being, well, those
- 8:11Speaker 1: are my people out there. There were an amazing amount
- 8:16Speaker 1: of young girls going in and out of Epstein's house.
- 8:19Speaker 1: I can't say they were 14, but they looked very young. Ms.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Withridge started staking out Epstein's house on December 4th. It
- 8:27Speaker 1: was not until around 1 p.m. the next day that
- 8:29Speaker 1: she and Ms. Donnelly finally spotted Andrew leaving the mansion.
- 8:33Speaker 1: She jumped into the driver's seat of her photographer's SUV
- 8:37Speaker 1: and raced after the pair, while Mr. Donnelly sat next
- 8:40Speaker 1: to her. So, she sees the two of them, and
- 8:44Speaker 1: as a, you know, actual investigative journalist or reporter... hops
- 8:49Speaker 1: into action, and follows them so she can get the story.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Traffic blocked them when they reached the end of 71st Street,
- 8:56Speaker 1: forcing Mr. Donnelly to leap out of the vehicle as
- 9:00Speaker 1: he continued the pursuit on foot. Jay chased him into
- 9:03Speaker 1: the park and climbed up on a rock. He took
- 9:06Speaker 1: the pictures from there, Ms. Withridge said. The 62-year-old journalist
- 9:09Speaker 1: said she was initially mortified that she had not been
- 9:13Speaker 1: able to keep up with Andrew and Epstein in the car.
- 9:16Speaker 1: So I'm just thinking about the scene of this old
- 9:18Speaker 1: lady here, this older lady here, and this photographer acting
- 9:21Speaker 1: like they're the FBI trying to pursue Jeffrey Epstein and
- 9:25Speaker 1: Prince Andrew as they try and hammer down the story. However,
- 9:31Speaker 1: she was thrilled when Mr. Donnelly showed her his pictures
- 9:33Speaker 1: of the pair when they reunited around 20 minutes later.
- 9:37Speaker 1: She said, when I saw them, I thought, my God,
- 9:39Speaker 1: these pictures are good. Jay was on a high when
- 9:42Speaker 1: he showed me the pictures. I didn't want to touch
- 9:44Speaker 1: the camera in case I deleted them. You could already
- 9:47Speaker 1: see the headline, Prince Andrew and the pedo. That's the
- 9:52Speaker 1: perfect headline, right? Is it not true? Prince Andrew, well,
- 9:56Speaker 1: he is a prince, I guess. And Jeffrey Epstein, well,
- 9:59Speaker 1: we all know sick bastard man was a pedophile, so
- 10:03Speaker 1: that is a fitting headline. Andrew previously said he went
- 10:07Speaker 1: to Epstein's home to end their friendship. He told Newsnight,
- 10:10Speaker 1: I went there with the sole purpose of saying to
- 10:12Speaker 1: him that because he'd been convicted, it was inappropriate for
- 10:16Speaker 1: us to be seen together. Could have done that on
- 10:18Speaker 1: the phone, homie. What, your email didn't work? Your hotmail
- 10:21Speaker 1: wasn't working at the time? What was it, AOL mail
- 10:24Speaker 1: back then? You got mail. Well, why don't you just
- 10:27Speaker 1: send an email? You got to hop on a plane.
- 10:29Speaker 1: That costs the taxpayers money, by the way. And go
- 10:32Speaker 1: get yourself another adventure in. One last taste, huh? I
- 10:36Speaker 1: felt doing it over the telephone was the chicken's way
- 10:39Speaker 1: of doing it. I had to go and talk to him.
- 10:42Speaker 1: We had an opportunity to go for a walk in
- 10:43Speaker 1: the park, and that was the conversation, coincidentally. That was photographed. Oh, yeah,
- 10:49Speaker 1: so let's go to the park. We'll have our conversation there. Okay, sure. Ms.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Withridge said the image of Andrew and Epstein in Central
- 10:57Speaker 1: Park gave Virginia Roberts the courage to go public with
- 11:01Speaker 1: her claims against Andrew. Ms. Roberts alleged Andrew abused her
- 11:06Speaker 1: when she was just 17 years old. The Queen's son
- 11:09Speaker 1: reached a 12 million pound out-of-court settlement with Ms. Roberts
- 11:14Speaker 1: earlier this year. Andrew denied all the claims against him
- 11:18Speaker 1: and did not admit any liability with the settlement. Well,
- 11:21Speaker 1: that might be the case, but think about what happened
- 11:24Speaker 1: with Tiffany Haddish just a couple of days ago. And
- 11:27Speaker 1: think about how Andrew Brettler was in the forefront of that.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Think about Armie Hammer. Think about all of the people
- 11:33Speaker 1: that Brettler has represented and how many of them have
- 11:36Speaker 1: had to pay this kind of settlement. Not very many, right?
- 11:40Speaker 1: So that leads me to believe, and of course, this
- 11:42Speaker 1: is just my speculation, folks. It leads me to believe
- 11:45Speaker 1: that they had the goods on Prince Andrew and all
- 11:48Speaker 1: boys ticket was punched. Ms. Withridge believes Ms. Roberts only
- 11:56Speaker 1: reached out to freelance journalist Sharon Churcher after she saw
- 12:00Speaker 1: the Central Park image. I think she was frightened, Ms.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Withridge said. And there was a lot of, you know,
- 12:06Speaker 1: people being scared then. Especially at the beginning of all
- 12:09Speaker 1: of this. These girls didn't know how it was going
- 12:11Speaker 1: to turn out. How this was going to be received.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Ghislaine had gone out and got these girls. I think
- 12:18Speaker 1: they trusted her like she was an older sister. And
- 12:21Speaker 1: then she betrayed them so badly. I think the picture
- 12:24Speaker 1: gave Virginia the courage to stand up. Maxwell is now
- 12:28Speaker 1: serving a 20-year prison sentence after being found guilty of
- 12:31Speaker 1: child sex trafficking. Epstein killed himself, allegedly, while in jail
- 12:36Speaker 1: awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges in 2019. Buckingham Palace
- 12:41Speaker 1: has been approached for comment. A spokesman for Prince Andrew
- 12:45Speaker 1: declined the comment. Shocking. They don't have anything to say, right?
- 12:49Speaker 1: It's pretty pathetic. You would think that the palace, Prince Andrew,
- 12:53Speaker 1: and people in charge would give a little bit more
- 12:56Speaker 1: of a damn about what happened to these girls. But
- 12:58Speaker 1: they do not. They never have. And they never will.
- 13:01Speaker 1: But the fact is this. Prince Andrew was certainly... hanging
- 13:06Speaker 1: out with Jeffrey Epstein at a time when it was very,
- 13:09Speaker 1: very inappropriate, as if any time hanging out with him
- 13:12Speaker 1: would be appropriate. But at least before his first conviction,
- 13:15Speaker 1: you can say, not that I believe you, but you
- 13:17Speaker 1: can say, I had no idea what he was doing.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Guy wasn't convicted at that time. I didn't know what
- 13:22Speaker 1: was up. But anyone who was hanging out with him
- 13:26Speaker 1: after the first conviction, or Ghislaine Maxwell for that matter,
- 13:30Speaker 1: is a sick, disgusting bastard, and they should explain themselves.
- 13:35Speaker 1: All right, folks, that's going to do it for this episode.
