- 0:48Speaker 2: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:51Speaker 2: with on our radio.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Hey, everybody's been here with the Almost Famous podcast. Today
- 0:57Speaker 1: we have Dale and Kat with us, coming fresh off
- 1:01Speaker 1: of the reunion episode that was just filmed right here
- 1:05Speaker 1: on the stage. That we're sitting at nice stage. It
- 1:08Speaker 1: is a nice stage. I want to start. What were
- 1:11Speaker 1: your emotions like going into today, Well, be honest, this
- 1:16Speaker 1: is a place to.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Be honest, ladies. Ladies first, well.
- 1:21Speaker 4: A conference post game talk. Well, going into today, obviously
- 1:25Speaker 4: there was a lot of things we needed to discuss
- 1:27Speaker 4: from the whole season in general, I'd say nervous, but
- 1:31Speaker 4: also really excited to be able to like share our
- 1:34Speaker 4: story and share our time together and kind of like
- 1:37Speaker 4: catch up with everybody else.
- 1:38Speaker 5: But you know, putting ourselves back.
- 1:40Speaker 4: In these spaces can be a little nerve wracking, and
- 1:42Speaker 4: coming off of last night's episode was also a lot too, so,
- 1:47Speaker 4: but I was mostly excited just to kind of like
- 1:48Speaker 4: see everyone and share our relationship.
- 1:51Speaker 6: Yeah, because I think you you never know what someone's
- 1:55Speaker 6: holding on to or anything like that. But a kind
- 1:59Speaker 6: of the whole season, right, we were we were excited
- 2:02Speaker 6: about how things finished with us. Also the fact that
- 2:06Speaker 6: we've been just building this relationship and kind of the
- 2:09Speaker 6: same way during the season, We're like, you know, whatever happens,
- 2:12Speaker 6: we'll speak our truth, but we're not going to compromise
- 2:15Speaker 6: our integrity. We're not trying to get into too much chaos,
- 2:17Speaker 6: and at the end of the day, like, we have
- 2:19Speaker 6: great relationships with everyone on the show, so yeah, I
- 2:23Speaker 6: think it's like there's unknown variables going into this that
- 2:28Speaker 6: you don't know may come up, but overall, we were
- 2:32Speaker 6: just kind of happy to see everyone.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Yeah, I feel pretty confident with him.
- 2:36Speaker 4: Like by my side, I will say, like I can
- 2:40Speaker 4: go into uncomfortable environments with.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Dale and like feel safe. So I think coming into
- 2:45Speaker 5: don't burn the stage down.
- 2:48Speaker 4: But like, yeah, I knew that no matter what, if
- 2:50Speaker 4: I needed to be like kind of brought back down
- 2:52Speaker 4: on earth, that he would be there.
- 2:54Speaker 1: So so you whispering in her ear during kind of
- 2:57Speaker 1: the most contentious moments of the reunion. I don't think
- 3:00Speaker 1: audio will pick it up, but I did watch what
- 3:04Speaker 1: were you just telling her?
- 3:06Speaker 6: I was honestly just saying, hey, like chill, give everyone
- 3:10Speaker 6: their time to speak, because I think everyone deserves that.
- 3:15Speaker 3: But it's easy to take a lot of things personal.
- 3:18Speaker 6: Right because you go through this experience with people and
- 3:22Speaker 6: sometimes it's projection. But at the end of the day
- 3:24Speaker 6: as well, I think it's important to understand your emotions
- 3:29Speaker 6: and where they're coming from. But you know it also
- 3:33Speaker 6: like still keep your composure and focus more on our experience.
- 3:38Speaker 6: Speak your truth, but not be as reactive and understanding.
- 3:43Speaker 6: It was the biggest thing, because emotions can get heightened.
- 3:47Speaker 6: I've been there, but I also think like we're so
- 3:50Speaker 6: far removed from a lot of the chaos, and.
- 3:54Speaker 3: That's kind of just how we've been rolling since the
- 3:57Speaker 3: show's been done.
- 3:58Speaker 4: You like said, like I do, I feel a lot
- 4:01Speaker 4: of other people's emotions, so like I want to, like,
- 4:04Speaker 4: I have a lot to say a lot of times,
- 4:06Speaker 4: but he's helped me realize, like sometimes it's you don't
- 4:10Speaker 4: have to say all the things and it's your pick
- 4:12Speaker 4: your battles in a way, so he kind of helped
- 4:14Speaker 4: me calm back down.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Dale mentioned here a second ago that you were excited
- 4:18Speaker 1: about how your experience ended. I think that is a
- 4:23Speaker 1: shocking statement because from a viewer standpoint, it felt like
- 4:27Speaker 1: your relationship was going so well and then all of
- 4:30Speaker 1: a sudden things ended at the worst possible moment in
- 4:34Speaker 1: your relationship. Can you bring some clarity to why you
- 4:38Speaker 1: said that you were excited about how you guys left,
- 4:41Speaker 1: and then also what you two were experiencing, as obviously
- 4:45Speaker 1: you were kind of in this very tumultuous situation.
- 4:50Speaker 6: For me, it was just that we were together, that
- 4:54Speaker 6: we stick up for each other, and obviously there was
- 4:58Speaker 6: a competition.
- 5:00Speaker 3: You know, I was pretty upset.
- 5:03Speaker 6: About us losing the physical challenge because that was the
- 5:06Speaker 6: first time in my life I've ever honestly felt vulnerable physically.
- 5:11Speaker 6: But we moved past that so quickly. But we talk
- 5:13Speaker 6: about the Way to the World challenge, and you know,
- 5:17Speaker 6: in theory, we won that challenge. It was a very
- 5:20Speaker 6: intense moment with the entire cast coming back, and I
- 5:24Speaker 6: think a lot of people in certain situations maybe would
- 5:27Speaker 6: have handled it differently. But Kat and I had gone
- 5:31Speaker 6: through real challenges that relationships go through in a very
- 5:35Speaker 6: short time. But I told her early on in the season,
- 5:38Speaker 6: like I'm not jumping ship, Like I'm down to ride,
- 5:40Speaker 6: and you know, if I'm down to ride for someone,
- 5:42Speaker 6: and we get to that point, like I don't care
- 5:45Speaker 6: about what comes our way because we can work through it.
- 5:48Speaker 6: And I think we had beautiful moments throughout our relationship,
- 5:53Speaker 6: but in one of the most difficult ones when it
- 5:55Speaker 6: could have gone either way, that's where we grew the most,
- 5:58Speaker 6: and that's what set the foundation for the conversations that
- 6:01Speaker 6: we had after we were off Paradise to ask the
- 6:03Speaker 6: hard questions in a way that we knew. We were
- 6:07Speaker 6: asking the questions not to get out of a situation
- 6:10Speaker 6: or a relationship, to build it stronger than ever. And
- 6:13Speaker 6: I think that was just an important thing for both
- 6:15Speaker 6: of us.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Yeah, Kat, when the parliament came back and they walked
- 6:24Speaker 1: down through the resort to where you guys were standing,
- 6:28Speaker 1: did you have a feeling at that point that this
- 6:30Speaker 1: was going to turn ugly or were you kind of
- 6:34Speaker 1: thrown off guard once Sean and Alicia started talking.
- 6:38Speaker 4: I mean, seeing everybody come back, I was actually really excited,
- 6:42Speaker 4: but I remembered mostly like how we had voted, how
- 6:45Speaker 4: the season had went, and like going against Justine Spencer
- 6:48Speaker 4: like we're cooked, which is fine. I was so comfortable
- 6:51Speaker 4: with where we were at in a relationship at that point.
- 6:54Speaker 4: I had absolutely no idea that it was going to
- 6:57Speaker 4: be what it was. I sent some type of energy,
- 7:03Speaker 4: which I think I had said to him at some point,
- 7:05Speaker 4: like I think Alicia is like not being nice to be.
- 7:07Speaker 5: I don't know what's going on, but some thing's like
- 7:09Speaker 5: going on.
- 7:11Speaker 4: And then very shortly after that is when the clink
- 7:13Speaker 4: clink happened in front of everyone, but I was very
- 7:16Speaker 4: taken surprise surprise with how it went down.
- 7:20Speaker 1: For sure, we see during the show that the two
- 7:25Speaker 1: of you kind of walk off and you're telling Dale
- 7:29Speaker 1: at that moment, I don't want to talk about it here.
- 7:31Speaker 1: I don't want to talk about this here. I think
- 7:33Speaker 1: from a fan standpoint, we're watching it being like, well,
- 7:37Speaker 1: guilty as charged, she doesn't want to talk about it
- 7:39Speaker 1: on camera. If you weren't guilty, she'd be talking about
- 7:41Speaker 1: it right here. What was your intention with telling Dale
- 7:45Speaker 1: at that time? Hey, I don't want to talk about
- 7:47Speaker 1: it right now.
- 7:48Speaker 4: I think that's a totally fair judgment. But unfortunately, like,
- 7:51Speaker 4: unless you're in this space, you'll it's hard to understand.
- 7:56Speaker 4: I've had many rounds within this franchise, or at least
- 8:00Speaker 4: in a setting where you can be really vulnerable, and
- 8:03Speaker 4: in that moment, I just felt like nobody deserved any
- 8:07Speaker 4: kind of explanation or any more words that could potentially
- 8:10Speaker 4: be twisted, because that's what I just witnessed, And the
- 8:14Speaker 4: only person who I would be willing to have a
- 8:16Speaker 4: conversation with in private would be Dale, because he's the
- 8:18Speaker 4: only one that deserves that, and I just didn't feel
- 8:21Speaker 4: like I owed anything to anyone.
- 8:23Speaker 5: Plus I was really really emotionally.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Charged, so the last thing I wanted was to say
- 8:28Speaker 4: something that could be misunderstood, or if I would say
- 8:31Speaker 4: something that wasn't articulated appropriately, like this is something I
- 8:34Speaker 4: really cared about, and I just wanted it to have
- 8:36Speaker 4: the attention that it deserved, and it was not going
- 8:39Speaker 4: to be in that space or at that time.
- 8:47Speaker 1: All these love triangles getting you twisted us too.
- 8:51Speaker 7: But it's because we.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Have Wetzels Pretzels on deck, serving up soft, salty and
- 8:58Speaker 1: totally irresistible snacks from original butter to sinful cinnamon. We've
- 9:03Speaker 1: got your cravings covered, fresh baked, hand rolled, and always hot.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Go online to find your nearest Wetzels Pretzels or to
- 9:15Speaker 1: order ahead your Wetzels Paradise awaits at Wetzels dot com.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Tell me if I'm wrong, I don't think you will.
- 9:27Speaker 1: But it seemed like, really the last two episodes of
- 9:30Speaker 1: your experience on the show, we really got to see
- 9:33Speaker 1: a dynamic in your relationship where Dale was speaking kind
- 9:37Speaker 1: of like he did during the reunion. He was whispering
- 9:39Speaker 1: in your ear, telling you, hey, take a breath count
- 9:42Speaker 1: to ten, Calm down. That's how he supports you to
- 9:46Speaker 1: get a glimpse into your where your relationship stands today.
- 9:48Speaker 1: How do you best support him?
- 9:50Speaker 4: I think that we know each other's triggers in our
- 9:53Speaker 4: moments of grounding that is needed.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Like I would say, I hoped.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Bring him down after a lot of competitions of us
- 10:01Speaker 4: being lost when he was a little hot and heavy,
- 10:03Speaker 4: and I reminded him like what really matters, and when
- 10:08Speaker 4: he has a really good way of seeing things more
- 10:12Speaker 4: objective and like less emotionally like charged, whereas I don't.
- 10:17Speaker 4: So it's helpful when we're in like heighten emotional situations
- 10:20Speaker 4: where he can like remind me and I'm like really
- 10:22Speaker 4: good at receiving that. And I respect his opinion and
- 10:25Speaker 4: I respect how he sees the world, so I also
- 10:28Speaker 4: have how to allow that, which takes time to like
- 10:31Speaker 4: I love to say no before I say yes, But
- 10:34Speaker 4: as time has gone on, as times going on, I've
- 10:38Speaker 4: learned to trust it more and like know that his
- 10:39Speaker 4: intentions are never to like it's to help me, right,
- 10:43Speaker 4: And I think that depending on each other's triggers, like
- 10:47Speaker 4: he can probably test to it more.
- 10:49Speaker 5: I don't really know.
- 10:49Speaker 4: But I know that I've seen you get a little
- 10:51Speaker 4: worked up, and I think that I try my best
- 10:53Speaker 4: to just remind you he doesn't. I've had partners that
- 10:57Speaker 4: like if I were to ever like snap for like
- 11:00Speaker 4: trying to bring them back to Earth, they get like
- 11:02Speaker 4: more upset. It actually works with him, like he'll like
- 11:05Speaker 4: he doesn't take offense to it, and he's I think
- 11:07Speaker 4: he also values my opinion too it.
- 11:10Speaker 5: But I've only really had to do that.
- 11:11Speaker 4: I think when it comes to at least in Paradise
- 11:14Speaker 4: was like after the competitions when you didn't really like
- 11:16Speaker 4: losing that much.
- 11:18Speaker 6: Yeah, But I also think it's reminding me because I
- 11:22Speaker 6: moved through things very quickly. One of my greatest gifts
- 11:25Speaker 6: is I don't feel like a lot of things affect me,
- 11:28Speaker 6: and I can move through things and be very very
- 11:30Speaker 6: even keeled. But you know, some tough moments, I can
- 11:34Speaker 6: bury those. But also you bury great moments when you're
- 11:37Speaker 6: that's one of your.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Mechanisms, if you will.
- 11:42Speaker 6: But KAT definitely without even saying it or you know,
- 11:47Speaker 6: intentionally doing it reminds me a lot about like the
- 11:51Speaker 6: joy and the excitement of like little and small things
- 11:54Speaker 6: or there's something good that happens and I'm like, oh,
- 11:56Speaker 6: it's just part for the course and I'm moving to
- 11:58Speaker 6: the next thing. She's like, no, you need to sell
- 12:00Speaker 6: lebrate those things. And I think one of the things
- 12:05Speaker 6: that we both talk about all the time, and she
- 12:08Speaker 6: would say because we couldn't be public, is like, I
- 12:11Speaker 6: can't wait to experience life with you. I can't wait
- 12:14Speaker 6: till we experience these things together. And that's why I
- 12:17Speaker 6: came on Paradise. So and that's been a tough thing
- 12:21Speaker 6: for us.
- 12:21Speaker 7: Because what do you mean, that's why you came on
- 12:23Speaker 7: Paradise And a.
- 12:25Speaker 6: Lot of relationships previously our lives were so segmented, you know,
- 12:30Speaker 6: some because of distance and just timing and the pandemic
- 12:37Speaker 6: and all these things. But I always felt like I
- 12:39Speaker 6: poured out so much into relationships and I didn't always
- 12:45Speaker 6: get the reciprocity. And it wasn't about like tit for tat.
- 12:50Speaker 3: It was just like I didn't get experience as much
- 12:53Speaker 3: as I would like to with my partner.
- 12:57Speaker 6: And I think really just the excitement and the opportunity
- 13:03Speaker 6: to experience new things together. We've already got plans for
- 13:08Speaker 6: for so many things. There's a lot of things that
- 13:10Speaker 6: have happened that we couldn't experience together.
- 13:14Speaker 3: But there was still the excitement of like when we.
- 13:17Speaker 6: Can or like I can't wait to show you this thing,
- 13:19Speaker 6: and I haven't been able to do that for the
- 13:22Speaker 6: last five six years, you know, and that's what matters
- 13:27Speaker 6: to me, Like my relationship, my family, career is like
- 13:31Speaker 6: something that's important, but that's for stability and security.
- 13:35Speaker 4: I think I remember him to I think you remind
- 13:37Speaker 4: him to laugh a little bit more and be a
- 13:39Speaker 4: little bit more goofy.
- 13:40Speaker 7: You had a little spice too.
- 13:41Speaker 1: It seems like, like I do you know, Dale, seems
- 13:43Speaker 1: very much like let's just keep going and you like
- 13:47Speaker 1: shake it up a little bit, which is a very
- 13:49Speaker 1: good thing to have.
- 13:51Speaker 3: When Dala comes.
- 13:52Speaker 8: Out there, I do say I wish I could be
- 13:54Speaker 8: more unbothered, but it's just not in this lifetime.
- 13:57Speaker 1: You are as I know.
- 14:01Speaker 7: It's going to make life fun, I know. Unfortunately, though
- 14:05Speaker 7: your experience and I got a lot of clarity.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I think during the reunion episode into this whole texting
- 14:11Speaker 1: thing that happened, Dale, you seem thrown off honestly watching
- 14:16Speaker 1: the show because you were like, no, I don't care
- 14:18Speaker 1: what happened before this, and they said, no, it happened now.
- 14:20Speaker 1: And all of a sudden, you took usip of your
- 14:22Speaker 1: drink and you're like, oh well, all right, all right,
- 14:24Speaker 1: let's figure that one out. But you said something dale
- 14:28Speaker 1: during the reunion that people can listen to, but I
- 14:30Speaker 1: want to bring it up here. You said, Hey, that
- 14:33Speaker 1: happened at the beginning. This is where we're at now,
- 14:36Speaker 1: we're moving into life together.
- 14:38Speaker 7: Now.
- 14:39Speaker 1: For listeners of this show that maybe won't tune into
- 14:42Speaker 1: the reunion, but I.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Encourage you to do.
- 14:44Speaker 1: It's only going to be on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast,
- 14:47Speaker 1: give us insight into why that moment didn't break you.
- 14:53Speaker 6: I mean, you go through an experience and a journey
- 14:57Speaker 6: with someone for a month. We all have these ideas
- 15:02Speaker 6: of what we want, how things are going to go
- 15:04Speaker 6: coming in and the moment I met Kat, I was
- 15:09Speaker 6: unsure about Kat and I, but we grew that, we
- 15:13Speaker 6: grew that, we grew that we had our guards up.
- 15:16Speaker 6: But anything that was happening or lingering before the show
- 15:21Speaker 6: or whatever, it was kind of irrelevant to me because
- 15:25Speaker 6: I was so clear at a certain point when we
- 15:28Speaker 6: crossed that path and where we were at and we
- 15:32Speaker 6: really both said, like, hey, we're going to do this thing.
- 15:35Speaker 6: There was no question and I've told Kat this many
- 15:38Speaker 6: times and I said it on the show. If it
- 15:41Speaker 6: wasn't Kat, there was no one else for me on
- 15:44Speaker 6: that beach, And it was less about the people coming in.
- 15:48Speaker 6: It was more about us getting tighter together and me
- 15:53Speaker 6: letting my guard down and her also letting her guard down,
- 15:56Speaker 6: and building that trust and that understanding that like push
- 16:00Speaker 6: come to show we're going to be there and at
- 16:02Speaker 6: the end of the day too, Like there's so many
- 16:05Speaker 6: more difficult things in life. So if that was something
- 16:08Speaker 6: that we had to get over and get past, that
- 16:11Speaker 6: happened before I even knew Kat at all, Like, it's
- 16:15Speaker 6: not that deep, Like I could totally do that, and
- 16:18Speaker 6: we had the time to do that after the fact,
- 16:21Speaker 6: we did those things, we asked those questions, So I
- 16:26Speaker 6: don't know.
- 16:27Speaker 4: I think it also shows I think it's a testimony
- 16:29Speaker 4: to his securement with himself too, And I think the
- 16:32Speaker 4: goal at the time was maybe to break him. And
- 16:34Speaker 4: I definitely know partners that I've been met that that
- 16:37Speaker 4: would hold a lot more precedent than the person that's
- 16:40Speaker 4: standing in front of him, which is me.
- 16:42Speaker 5: And what we've built.
- 16:42Speaker 4: And I think it takes a certain person to feel
- 16:45Speaker 4: confident who they are and what the relationship has built
- 16:49Speaker 4: to keep that between us and work through what we
- 16:52Speaker 4: need to and see if it can be something we can.
- 16:55Speaker 6: Yeah, because people were like, Oh, we just want to
- 16:58Speaker 6: look out for you, we care for you.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Needed to know this.
- 17:01Speaker 6: And I even said on the show, I was like,
- 17:02Speaker 6: you're not saving me from like I made this decision.
- 17:06Speaker 6: This is what I'm standing with, So you're not saving
- 17:08Speaker 6: me from anything.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Let's just be clear though, on the timeline, tell me
- 17:10Speaker 1: if I'm wrong. You had emailed somebody that you were
- 17:14Speaker 1: seeing before very early on in the show.
- 17:16Speaker 7: Once Dale showed up, that stop.
- 17:18Speaker 4: No, I wasn't ever ever texting or communicating from the
- 17:22Speaker 4: outside world when the show had started.
- 17:24Speaker 1: So the show started, no more communication, Dale comes in,
- 17:28Speaker 1: There was no more conation.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Yeah, we don't have access to our stuff like they
- 17:33Speaker 4: security comes and digs it.
- 17:34Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Just I think that was a point that people were
- 17:38Speaker 1: confused by, like was this happening throughout the season? Was
- 17:41Speaker 1: this going on when airing when you were still dating?
- 17:43Speaker 1: But once the show started, you were done. No more texts.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Nothing, I mean that's and so the way that I
- 17:49Speaker 4: also heard things just get so twisted and construed made
- 17:53Speaker 4: me very uncomfortable to ever say anything because I'm like, well,
- 17:57Speaker 4: if this is how things are being taken, I'm not
- 18:00Speaker 4: going to say anything because the last thing I'm going
- 18:02Speaker 4: to have is my words be twisted or anything be
- 18:06Speaker 4: taken out of context.
- 18:07Speaker 7: Yeah so yousha, I mean, you just didn't want to
- 18:09Speaker 7: talk anymore.
- 18:09Speaker 5: You. I was, well it, I had a panic attack,
- 18:12Speaker 5: like it.
- 18:14Speaker 4: I never want to like, like, my experience from two
- 18:16Speaker 4: years ago with Paradise was still my experience.
- 18:19Speaker 5: It was who I was at the time, but it
- 18:21Speaker 5: was really really difficult.
- 18:23Speaker 4: And a lot of that experience came with every single
- 18:26Speaker 4: day putting out fires or trying to at least, And
- 18:31Speaker 4: in that moment, I felt all those feelings I had
- 18:34Speaker 4: felt and that was something I had already like moved through,
- 18:37Speaker 4: and I just felt really like I was back in
- 18:39Speaker 4: that environment where I can't trust myself, I can't trust
- 18:41Speaker 4: people around me, and I'm like scared of to lose
- 18:43Speaker 4: someone to care about.
- 18:44Speaker 5: So it went on a lot longer than that was shown.
- 18:47Speaker 4: It went on for a very long time and then
- 18:50Speaker 4: to the point where like I couldn't say words and
- 18:53Speaker 4: I had like a full panic attack.
- 18:54Speaker 5: So that's why I had to walk off.
- 18:55Speaker 6: And I can relate to that too, because like I
- 19:00Speaker 6: had a moment also where I had to step away
- 19:03Speaker 6: and it had nothing to do with the situation like
- 19:07Speaker 6: with Cat.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Personally, but I was like, what is going on?
- 19:12Speaker 6: I am in like this chaos, Like I didn't do
- 19:14Speaker 6: anything wrong, Like I don't want I don't want this
- 19:17Speaker 6: to be our story because this is not right. It
- 19:20Speaker 6: was about like this is not right, and you know,
- 19:24Speaker 6: the producer saw me like like I was in tears,
- 19:27Speaker 6: but it wasn't about hurt. I was so disappointed and
- 19:31Speaker 6: frustrated in the situation and how that even happened, because
- 19:37Speaker 6: like what Cat and I had built was so beautiful
- 19:40Speaker 6: and like if there was a stain on it in
- 19:42Speaker 6: this way, I was like, that's just not right, Like
- 19:45Speaker 6: this is not it just it was like a righteous.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Moment right.
- 19:56Speaker 7: With Pinkberry.
- 19:57Speaker 1: It is love at first wor big thanks to Pinkberry,
- 20:02Speaker 1: who has been serving up some delicious frozen yogurt treats today,
- 20:07Speaker 1: where every flavor, whether it's original tart, pomegranate, or their
- 20:13Speaker 1: new white Mocha is truly is a front runner, and
- 20:19Speaker 1: the only drama is choosing between your favorite premium toppings,

- 20:27Speaker 1: the fro YOUO. Pinkberry's got your happily ever After. Find
- 20:31Speaker 1: a location near you or order online at pinkberry dot com.
- 20:39Speaker 7: Is there a moment though where that hit for you?
- 20:42Speaker 1: Because watching the season back, it felt like, all of
- 20:45Speaker 1: a sudden, you guys were a serious couple. Like, you know,
- 20:48Speaker 1: there was the start that I have obviously had its
- 20:50Speaker 1: stuff going on, and then we had like a couple
- 20:52Speaker 1: episodes where it just kind of felt like we didn't
- 20:54Speaker 1: see you all on the show much, and then all
- 20:56Speaker 1: of a sudden, you're like a serious couple. Is there
- 20:59Speaker 1: a moment that you remember, like where you felt like
- 21:01Speaker 1: you crossed that bridge and all of a sudden said, no,
- 21:04Speaker 1: this is somebody I'm gonna fight for. This is somebody
- 21:07Speaker 1: that I'm going to get angry for, and this is
- 21:09Speaker 1: somebody I'm going to trust and try to move past
- 21:11Speaker 1: this whole experience with.
- 21:12Speaker 3: I mean, I think that was the whole time.
- 21:14Speaker 6: We just didn't have those some of those situations I
- 21:17Speaker 6: think where Kat and I really crossed that bridge.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Was after I'll say from what people.
- 21:23Speaker 6: Saw on the show, like the conversation with Lisha, she
- 21:27Speaker 6: knew where my rose was going. Uh Alesia knew, you know,
- 21:30Speaker 6: I told her, And that was the moment where it's
- 21:34Speaker 6: like literally because we would have these conversations about if
- 21:38Speaker 6: someone comes in and and for me too, I am
- 21:42Speaker 6: someone who wants to be prudent and make the right choice.
- 21:44Speaker 6: And in some relationships in the past, like you know,
- 21:49Speaker 6: I gave so much and I it didn't work out,
- 21:54Speaker 6: which is fine because you try hard, you die hard,
- 21:57Speaker 6: but like that's how you get the greatest gifts.
- 22:00Speaker 3: But I didn't want to do that again.
- 22:01Speaker 6: So I was very hesitant, like I just needed to
- 22:04Speaker 6: know this is who I'm rocking to ride with. And
- 22:07Speaker 6: I had to also look at myself and say, like
- 22:09Speaker 6: all these people are coming in and everything brings me
- 22:12Speaker 6: closer to Kat. It's not about anyone else that's coming
- 22:15Speaker 6: in Cat, and I gotta get right. And I think
- 22:17Speaker 6: also in our conversation, I was pretty direct and stern,
- 22:20Speaker 6: like I was just like, look, I just need more
- 22:23Speaker 6: like whatever history, whatever past, whatever it is, I want
- 22:27Speaker 6: to know that, like I'm not going to judge you.
- 22:29Speaker 6: I'm not going to press on like that's the most
- 22:32Speaker 6: beautiful thing about you. And I think that was the
- 22:34Speaker 6: moment where we both not speaking, and you.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Can well it was the nearly Rows ceremony before I
- 22:41Speaker 4: turned to a competition. I can say for the exact
- 22:43Speaker 4: moment because I remember everything. I mean, my feelings for
- 22:48Speaker 4: him are always developing. But I was also very guarded because.
- 22:51Speaker 5: I had a failed engagement.
- 22:53Speaker 4: You know, this is like a scary environment to be in,
- 22:55Speaker 4: and I was just always fearful that someone wasn't who
- 22:58Speaker 4: they said they were. So I think that translated with
- 23:01Speaker 4: maybe a little bit more hesitation emotionally and sharing.
- 23:05Speaker 5: Who I am. But you're able to grow really fast
- 23:09Speaker 5: in paradise.
- 23:10Speaker 4: So we got to the point where he was like
- 23:12Speaker 4: basically asking for more, and I gave it to him,
- 23:14Speaker 4: and I gave him a look and to my personal life,
- 23:17Speaker 4: my past, my childhood, things that I typically only share
- 23:21Speaker 4: people that I care about, And I think my ability
- 23:25Speaker 4: to be vulnerable allowed him to also kind of like
- 23:28Speaker 4: let his shoulders down and relax.
- 23:30Speaker 5: A little bit. And from there it just happened to
- 23:33Speaker 5: turn into a competition that night where no one else
- 23:35Speaker 5: is coming in so it was perfect for me. I
- 23:37Speaker 5: didn't have to worry about anything anymore.
- 23:39Speaker 4: But I think that in that night we were like, okay,
- 23:43Speaker 4: like we've done the thing. It keeps bringing us closer, Like, actually,
- 23:47Speaker 4: let's focus on our relationship. And so that was before
- 23:50Speaker 4: it even turned into a competition. Really yeah, yeah, and
- 23:54Speaker 4: they kind of cut around that up that thing, which
- 23:56Speaker 4: I'm not like upset about because I did get really
- 23:58Speaker 4: deep about my life. But I think that was probably
- 24:02Speaker 4: our biggest turning point. And then also when he and
- 24:05Speaker 4: when I fully crashed out and it did not scare him.
- 24:10Speaker 6: Really it was like really real time, it was so
- 24:16Speaker 6: much more intense.
- 24:17Speaker 5: Exactly, it was bad. It was way longer. I was like.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Shivering.
- 24:24Speaker 5: Oh no, No.
- 24:25Speaker 4: He was like trying so much to help me, and
- 24:28Speaker 4: I kept like trying to help him while being helped.
- 24:30Speaker 4: And then like every time he'd helped me, I would
- 24:32Speaker 4: like go into like a fire ant pile or like
- 24:34Speaker 4: lose it again, and like it was bad, but it
- 24:39Speaker 4: got to the point where I was like crying and upset.
- 24:41Speaker 5: But it finally got to the point where I had
- 24:43Speaker 5: the breakdown.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I don't want to skip over the fire ants. I
- 24:45Speaker 1: hate fire ants, and it was insane. Those existed on
- 24:49Speaker 1: there's a problem.
- 24:49Speaker 3: You see me itching my antone in my life, frozen
- 24:53Speaker 3: and like petrified in fear to where they couldn't move. Yeah,
- 24:57Speaker 3: I think you saw a glimpse of it.
- 24:58Speaker 6: But legitimately, like I thought they were gonna have to
- 25:02Speaker 6: call the paramedics or like they like.
- 25:04Speaker 5: The therapist have to come in. She was like, I
- 25:06Speaker 5: was thinking about taking you back.
- 25:07Speaker 3: They were about to take her out of there. It
- 25:09Speaker 3: got It was intense, you guys, I mean you did.
- 25:11Speaker 1: I mean I think you've you've hinted at it so
- 25:14Speaker 1: many times that you know, you were tested and tried,
- 25:17Speaker 1: and you came out of this thing together. And I
- 25:19Speaker 1: want to close with you know, the excitement that is
- 25:21Speaker 1: your future. But I do have two little side questions
- 25:24Speaker 1: here that people wrote into us.
- 25:25Speaker 7: Sure, and then I also wanted.
- 25:27Speaker 1: To touch on the one because I do think it's
- 25:29Speaker 1: a point of clarity that all of us need, mostly
- 25:32Speaker 1: for your benefit. Sure, this friendship with Sean, Yeah.
- 25:39Speaker 7: It did you know?
- 25:39Speaker 1: It was communicated to us as viewers, and I'm watching
- 25:41Speaker 1: it being like, I don't know these two people, they
- 25:43Speaker 1: could have been best friends outside of this, right that
- 25:45Speaker 1: you two were really close friends, and then all of
- 25:47Speaker 1: a sudden, it felt like you turned on him and
- 25:49Speaker 1: he turned on you, and it got really ugly quick.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Can you give us clarity into where your friendship actually
- 25:54Speaker 1: was with Sean entering into this season.
- 25:57Speaker 5: I never want to.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Speak for someone else's experience or how they interpreted a friendship, right,
- 26:01Speaker 4: but I will just tell you matter of fact, we
- 26:04Speaker 4: were friends right after.
- 26:05Speaker 5: The original Paradise.
- 26:06Speaker 4: We would talk a little bit, kind of like get
- 26:08Speaker 4: boy advice about John Henry at the time and vice versa.
- 26:11Speaker 4: We just had that common ground of Tampa. I moved
- 26:13Speaker 4: to San Diego very shortly after, which has now been
- 26:15Speaker 4: almost two years since I moved to San Diego. Since then,
- 26:20Speaker 4: it's we did not text every day, We did not
- 26:22Speaker 4: phone call every month.
- 26:24Speaker 5: I hit him.
- 26:25Speaker 4: Up when I was home and I was like, hey,
- 26:26Speaker 4: like you should meet my new boyfriend. This was like
- 26:28Speaker 4: last year at some point, we're in town whatever, and
- 26:30Speaker 4: that's when he had met my ex.
- 26:32Speaker 5: And then that was in October.
- 26:36Speaker 4: And then in December, when I was home for the holidays,
- 26:38Speaker 4: I happened to see him at a bar. That was
- 26:41Speaker 4: the time that i'd seen him too. But we did
- 26:43Speaker 4: not communicate. I don't even think I replied his Instagram
- 26:45Speaker 4: stories or anything like that. When I got my first
- 26:47Speaker 4: phone call for Paradise, I called him and I said,
- 26:50Speaker 4: are you going to Paradise?
- 26:51Speaker 5: Like they're calling people.
- 26:52Speaker 4: He's like, no, they haven't called me yet, and I
- 26:53Speaker 4: was like, call them, tell them you want to go
- 26:55Speaker 4: so that I'm not on the beach without anyone because
- 26:57Speaker 4: I didn't know anybody, and kind of here and there
- 27:01Speaker 4: we'd like text or something like before it would come.
- 27:04Speaker 4: And then I think, like maybe right before parody started,
- 27:06Speaker 4: we had like a long phone call and just like
- 27:08Speaker 4: kind of talked about who we're interested in and stuff
- 27:10Speaker 4: like that. But that's kind of where that friendship, like
- 27:14Speaker 4: tangibly was communication wise. But I do think that he
- 27:19Speaker 4: felt and I did too, like a sense of like
- 27:22Speaker 4: connection in an environment where we both didn't really know anyone.
- 27:25Speaker 4: So that's where that loyalty I think felt. But as
- 27:28Speaker 4: far as like, I still didn't really I didn't know
- 27:31Speaker 4: him as much or as deep as anymore. So when
- 27:33Speaker 4: he was moving in the way he was, I was like, well,
- 27:35Speaker 4: maybe this is who he is. I'm a different person
- 27:37Speaker 4: than I was two years ago. Maybe this is who
- 27:39Speaker 4: he is, and I don't really want to be associated
- 27:41Speaker 4: with that, and that was something I was very clear
- 27:43Speaker 4: and honest about. But he's only met my ex twice,
- 27:48Speaker 4: so they're not like BFFs, and both times were with me.
- 27:52Speaker 5: So it was confusing.
- 27:55Speaker 4: But I also don't want to invalidate like how he
- 27:57Speaker 4: saw our friendship. But at the same time, like, I
- 28:00Speaker 4: just didn't think that I have friends that I'm much
- 28:02Speaker 4: closer with and I'm on the same time zone as
- 28:04Speaker 4: and like talk.
- 28:05Speaker 5: Much more often. So no, thanks for that's pretty I
- 28:09Speaker 5: don't know if that's like makes sense, but it makes sense.
- 28:11Speaker 1: That's that's the probably the most irrelevant question that you
- 28:16Speaker 1: transition into your relationship and where it's going with kat
- 28:20Speaker 1: is you have been rumored to be the next Bachelor
- 28:23Speaker 1: or in the running to be the next bat So funny,
- 28:26Speaker 1: it's been something we've talked about here at Almost Famous podcast.
- 28:28Speaker 1: It feels like for months, really you've had to see
- 28:32Speaker 1: the rumors. Maybe you're in paradise at the time. Uh,
- 28:35Speaker 1: if they called you to ask you to be the Bachelor,
- 28:37Speaker 1: would you see be saying yes or no?
- 28:39Speaker 3: I'm committed?
- 28:40Speaker 5: Okay, can I enjoy?
- 28:43Speaker 7: She's like, oh, they're doing that.
- 28:46Speaker 6: That was never something like that was in the cards
- 28:49Speaker 6: or like in even my mindset.
- 28:52Speaker 3: I'm just focused on this right here. That's literally my
- 28:55Speaker 3: only focus.
- 28:56Speaker 7: What is the focus?
- 28:57Speaker 1: Like where explain to everybody where you're at, what's exciting,
- 29:00Speaker 1: what's next.
- 29:02Speaker 5: And walk on the beach tomorrow for the first time.
- 29:05Speaker 6: A lot of it is experiencing life together because you know,
- 29:09Speaker 6: our worlds are we have a lot of similarities, but
- 29:12Speaker 6: our worlds are a lot different, and I think that
- 29:15Speaker 6: crossover and understanding each side of the fence is so
- 29:19Speaker 6: so important.
- 29:21Speaker 3: And again I'll say.
- 29:24Speaker 6: That's a big thing for me too, because I hadn't
- 29:26Speaker 6: always had that, like in previous relationships where there was
- 29:29Speaker 6: much time with family or meeting a lot of my friends.
- 29:32Speaker 6: I travel a lot, you know, That's something that I've
- 29:36Speaker 6: always cut down because of a relationship. When the time
- 29:39Speaker 6: is right, we do a lot more as existed because
- 29:42Speaker 6: we couldn't even be public. But we just want to
- 29:48Speaker 6: build this as strong as possible. I think we've had
- 29:50Speaker 6: all the conversations. We know where we're at in life
- 29:53Speaker 6: right now. We're not just dating just for companionship, like
- 29:58Speaker 6: I'm looking for a partnership we talk about what we
- 30:01Speaker 6: want with kids, with life, with locations, even though we're
- 30:05Speaker 6: on different side of the coast, Like, you know, it's
- 30:06Speaker 6: a real thing. But you know, I'd say we're fortunate
- 30:11Speaker 6: from the standpoint that you bridge the gap and we understand,
- 30:16Speaker 6: like and we're open to it's not about like just
- 30:20Speaker 6: one side or this or that, like these are the
- 30:23Speaker 6: things that if we're going to come together and we're
- 30:25Speaker 6: going to do this right, how do we do this?
- 30:28Speaker 3: There's give and take compromise.
- 30:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean he has the ability to kind of
- 30:33Speaker 4: move a little bit freely when it comes to work.
- 30:34Speaker 4: I work a steady like Monday through Thursday. But I
- 30:39Speaker 4: now that we can actually do things together and he
- 30:41Speaker 4: does do traveling for work. I don't know, I'm going
- 30:43Speaker 4: to just come on his trips with him.
- 30:45Speaker 5: And join him in on it.
- 30:46Speaker 4: And during that we're still building, Like it's still been
- 30:49Speaker 4: around four to five, Like we're only up four months, right,
- 30:51Speaker 4: so now we get to go to that next phase
- 30:53Speaker 4: of relationship where we can really build and see where
- 30:56Speaker 4: it goes. But with us just having that like same
- 30:59Speaker 4: goal to bring us closer and bridge that gap is
- 31:02Speaker 4: what is really I think needed and just keep checking
- 31:05Speaker 4: in and making sure that we're doing that.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Like you said, you have to walk on the beach
- 31:08Speaker 1: tomorrow together. That's a big deal deal.
- 31:12Speaker 4: He wouldn't even come into get to go food with me,
- 31:14Speaker 4: Like we would order food, and he wouldn't even come
- 31:16Speaker 4: into the gas station with me, Like he was so
- 31:18Speaker 4: serious about the rules.
- 31:19Speaker 8: So I'm no, I know, but I'm so excited to
- 31:22Speaker 8: just like be like this is what I'm in and
- 31:24Speaker 8: like we're walking on the beach and like having a
- 31:26Speaker 8: morning coffee, Like I'm just so excited to live.
- 31:29Speaker 6: Like, yeah, both we have both looked forward to that.
- 31:32Speaker 6: You know, we're sending pictures to each other.
- 31:34Speaker 3: All the time and like can't wait.
- 31:36Speaker 6: There's a lot of things that we would have done
- 31:38Speaker 6: together that would have been fucking ten times better together
- 31:43Speaker 6: that we just simply couldn't do. But that's not going
- 31:45Speaker 6: to change, and the simple things are the best things.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Though.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Today we're closing this thing out. You're getting ready to
- 31:51Speaker 1: walk off the stage. You no longer have to hide.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Dale and Kat, thank you for joining us. Thank you
- 31:56Speaker 1: for explaining all the stuff that was questions and up
- 32:00Speaker 1: in the air from a viewers standpoint. Thanks for sitting
- 32:02Speaker 1: with us today. It's been a long day of talking
- 32:05Speaker 1: about a lot of stuff.
- 32:06Speaker 5: I love hearing here talk about how much he likes
- 32:08Speaker 5: to keep it up.
- 32:10Speaker 1: But now you're done, Go enjoy it, celebrate walk on
- 32:13Speaker 1: the beach.
- 32:14Speaker 7: Thanks for joining the almost podcast. Rose all day, all
