- 0:00Speaker 1: And now move the sticks with Daniel, Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
- 0:07Speaker 2: What's up? Everybody?
- 0:07Speaker 1: Welcome to move the sticks, DJ, Bucky, Rhett back with
- 0:10Speaker 1: you boys.
- 0:12Speaker 2: I'm in the hotel here in Charlotte.
- 0:14Speaker 1: We've got Chargers staying here all week, so a lot
- 0:18Speaker 1: of options here.
- 0:18Speaker 2: We have a lot of options. I need to know.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I know Bucky's going to be biased on this. I'm
- 0:23Speaker 1: gonna go to Rhett A have you ever experienced Carolina barbecue?
- 0:27Speaker 2: And b we're just that.
- 0:28Speaker 1: We're just at Carolina Barbecue up with with KC Texas
- 0:31Speaker 1: everywhere else.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Carolina is the mustard barbecue, right Buck?
- 0:35Speaker 2: Whoa vinegar? Wow? That's that's that's embarrassing, all right, you're
- 0:39Speaker 2: just qualified from this.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Hold on?
- 0:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I love the vinegar barbecue, like, let's
- 0:44Speaker 5: be that is my favorite.
- 0:45Speaker 3: That is top of the list. So I wanted to
- 0:47Speaker 3: make sure I had everything right.
- 0:49Speaker 2: He hasn't been to Bridges, Buck, I can tell you
- 0:51Speaker 2: that right now.
- 0:52Speaker 5: I love the vinegar barbecue. The vinegar barbecue sauce is
- 0:55Speaker 5: the best on earth.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Okay, so you're in on that. You care to wager
- 1:01Speaker 2: in on this? Oh man? Look man to me, I
- 1:03Speaker 2: am biased.
- 1:03Speaker 4: When you think about barbecue, I just think about vinegar.
- 1:06Speaker 4: I think about a little cole slot. I think if
- 1:07Speaker 4: you have like a little barbecue sandwich, a little white
- 1:10Speaker 4: bread on. I mean, it's hard to beat that. I
- 1:13Speaker 4: know other places fancy themselves as barbecue establishments.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I know Texas has their thing, but it's all just
- 1:19Speaker 2: the meat and the rubs.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Kansas City has their own little thing, But man, I
- 1:25Speaker 4: hard to top a little little eastern North Carolina barbecue.
- 1:28Speaker 5: Okay, I'm in I'm all in on it. By the way,
- 1:31Speaker 5: can you get out to Charlotte practice for me? Can
- 1:34Speaker 5: you give me a little Yeah?
- 1:34Speaker 2: You got You've got that. You got them this week? Huh?
- 1:37Speaker 3: I got I use Charlotte this week on Big Time.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:39Speaker 1: So I'm gonna need I'm gonna need village. I'm gonna
- 1:42Speaker 1: need mileage in per diem. But yeah, that's possible.
- 1:44Speaker 4: I mean, if you had told me I had a
- 1:46Speaker 4: couple of coaches, got the great Tim Brewster.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Over there, and then you got a little drape Ly,
- 1:52Speaker 3: got a little Drapely over there.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Coach in the secondary, so we got pario connection.
- 1:56Speaker 3: All right, all right, I'm into it.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna need together, just trying to put together a
- 2:01Speaker 1: good broadcast. That's all right, it's trying to do there.
- 2:03Speaker 1: We've got the rookie recap from last week's draft. We've
- 2:07Speaker 1: got a new rookie draft for this week that's gonna
- 2:10Speaker 1: be coming up in a little bit. But I think
- 2:11Speaker 1: we got to start with what we saw last night.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And I'm not talking about the Patter's knocking off the
- 2:15Speaker 1: Astros as we continue to hunt down the Dodgers. I'm
- 2:17Speaker 1: talking about the Philadelphia Eagles. Yeah, well, we're making the playoffs.
- 2:24Speaker 1: You don't want to see us, Buck in the playoffs.
- 2:25Speaker 1: We already know that. But the the Eagles losing that
- 2:29Speaker 1: game last night, everyboy's talking about the past, right, everybodys
- 2:32Speaker 1: talking about fourth down.
- 2:33Speaker 2: It seems to be the topic problem.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I'm sitting here going, this is what I find funny,
- 2:39Speaker 1: and Buck, I'll get to you on this. I feel like,
- 2:43Speaker 1: and I think it's Nick Saban and Bill Belichick are
- 2:45Speaker 1: probably the impetus for this. But how many times have
- 2:48Speaker 1: you heard over the last twenty years, Hey, what's the process?
- 2:52Speaker 1: Focus on the process, not the results. We have the
- 2:55Speaker 1: right process. The results. You don't always control the results,
- 2:58Speaker 1: but you know we're going to focus on. And I'm like,
- 3:01Speaker 1: it's always about the process until something doesn't work, even
- 3:05Speaker 1: when the process could be right. And I'm like, Okay,
- 3:09Speaker 1: that was a pretty That's as safe a throw as
- 3:11Speaker 1: you can call in that situation. It's a perfect throw.
- 3:15Speaker 1: It's a receiver, it's Saquon who's very reliable catching the ball.
- 3:19Speaker 2: He just he didn't catch the ball.
- 3:21Speaker 1: So I don't understand how we can be a process
- 3:23Speaker 1: driven society until the results. We don't like the results,
- 3:26Speaker 1: and now it's, you know, throw the process out. It's
- 3:29Speaker 1: all about the results.
- 3:31Speaker 4: I mean, look, it's a dowed winner, you know what
- 3:34Speaker 4: I'm saying.
- 3:34Speaker 2: It is one of those things. So you don't if
- 3:36Speaker 2: you do, don't if you don't, if you.
- 3:38Speaker 4: Kind of squad on it, you kick the field goal,
- 3:40Speaker 4: you have some time to come back to where a touchdown.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Then everyone is mad because you still lose by one.
- 3:46Speaker 4: You have the perfect play drawing up where he can
- 3:48Speaker 4: walk into the end zone. It's game over if he
- 3:51Speaker 4: just catches the ball. And he just dropped it and
- 3:55Speaker 4: it was a nice throw. I mean, I think all
- 3:58Speaker 4: you had to do was see the Manning cast. Peyton
- 3:59Speaker 4: Manning is going he's gonna have a conption.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Just by the way, what was Matt Ryan talking about
- 4:05Speaker 3: on there? Did you guys catch that?
- 4:06Speaker 2: I didn't see it. I didn't see it. What did
- 4:08Speaker 2: he say?
- 4:09Speaker 5: So it was like there was you know, they were
- 4:10Speaker 5: going in, uh, this was before the Saquon play, and
- 4:13Speaker 5: they're going it's a three point game, right, Philly's up
- 4:15Speaker 5: by three, and he's like, Matt Ryan chimes in with like, guys,
- 4:19Speaker 5: you know in this situation, I.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Was like, just to go get the field goal as
- 4:22Speaker 3: quick as.
- 4:23Speaker 5: Possible and then you know, we kicked the on side kick,
- 4:26Speaker 5: and then try to set yourself up for that hail Mary.
- 4:30Speaker 3: What I think.
- 4:32Speaker 5: He thought essentially, as like I think he just didn't
- 4:34Speaker 5: say it, but he was like, if Philly scores a touchdown,
- 4:37Speaker 5: it becomes a nine point game. I didn't get it
- 4:40Speaker 5: at the at first. I'm like, that's your You're way
- 4:42Speaker 5: ahead of the game here, Bud.
- 4:44Speaker 3: They just kick.
- 4:45Speaker 5: They just kick a field goal, you know, and and
- 4:48Speaker 5: Atlanta still got a shot. But anyway, I didn't have
- 4:51Speaker 5: a problem with the play call. Like everyone like, if
- 4:55Speaker 5: it's not there, he just sits on like Jalen just
- 4:58Speaker 5: keeps it and the clock keeps moving.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I had a problem with the way they played.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Defense, just leaving the silent drive open.
- 5:05Speaker 3: What was that all about.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Well, they put the safeties in the parking lot, buck,
- 5:09Speaker 1: that was part of it, to protect against the big,
- 5:12Speaker 1: big play. In the process, they gave a bunch of
- 5:14Speaker 1: big plays.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Yeah, so what's interesting. I started a tweet it, but
- 5:18Speaker 4: and I deleted. I wouldn't want to be insensitive to
- 5:20Speaker 4: a young player. But actually those both of those players
- 5:24Speaker 4: were on Quinn and Mitchell and it was the entire
- 5:27Speaker 4: So so the first thing, they're in cover two and
- 5:31Speaker 4: they put a little cheese out there in the flat
- 5:33Speaker 4: and he eats the cheese and they hit the corner
- 5:36Speaker 4: right over the top. And then they get a little
- 5:38Speaker 4: one on one coverage which hey man, that robbed Darnian
- 5:41Speaker 4: Moodie ran. That was unbelievable. Route the burst in the
- 5:44Speaker 4: double move and they get it. So they hit for
- 5:46Speaker 4: two big plays on the boundary. But I don't even
- 5:49Speaker 4: care about that. Like, that's one thing. When you have
- 5:51Speaker 4: Darius Slay, a veteran, locked up on Drake London and
- 5:56Speaker 4: the entire time he ignores Drake London to look in
- 5:59Speaker 4: at the back and gets beat on the outcut. To me,
- 6:03Speaker 4: that's inexcusable. Veteran player, like I understand, like you're cluing
- 6:06Speaker 4: the quarterback, but he has to keep his eyes on
- 6:09Speaker 4: his work and he gave up the touchdown. So there
- 6:11Speaker 4: are a lot of people at fought for the way
- 6:14Speaker 4: that it transpired at the end. We can talk about Barty,
- 6:16Speaker 4: but defensively, they just didn't do their jobs when they
- 6:19Speaker 4: really need to do jobs.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I have to play pretty solid for most of the game.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Look, Bijon coming into the league, we talked
- 6:27Speaker 1: about how he was one of the more talented backs
- 6:29Speaker 1: we'd seen in the last decade and kind of that
- 6:33Speaker 1: gave us a very efestive running back in the first
- 6:36Speaker 1: round conversation, you know, with him and him and Jamier
- 6:39Speaker 1: Gibbs both going to the first round. And now we've
- 6:41Speaker 1: seen Jamier Gibbs what he could do on the Lions
- 6:43Speaker 1: run last year. If the Falcons are going to go somewhere,
- 6:46Speaker 1: as much attention has been on Kirk, and Kirk was
- 6:48Speaker 1: much better, you know, especially late in this game than
- 6:50Speaker 1: we saw last week. If they're going anywhere, it's going
- 6:53Speaker 1: to be what they did in this game, which is
- 6:55Speaker 1: using this offense running it through Bijon Robinson rehtt Yeah.
- 6:59Speaker 5: I think I agre one hundred percent on that. And
- 7:01Speaker 5: I mean, like you just you have him in. I
- 7:03Speaker 5: understand he can't play the entire game, but like there's
- 7:06Speaker 5: no situation that he is not fit for right, I
- 7:08Speaker 5: mean that he is. You can't pigeonhole him into one.
- 7:10Speaker 5: I mean he goes inside outside past pro Uh yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I know, I know.
- 7:17Speaker 5: The funny thing was, I think Kirk still got sacked
- 7:19Speaker 5: on that play, but it didn't didn't come from his guy. Yeah,
- 7:23Speaker 5: and and so you know, I still think that I'd
- 7:29Speaker 5: like to see a little bit more of the production
- 7:30Speaker 5: on the perimeter from you know, from Drake and from
- 7:33Speaker 5: I mean obviously he comes up big and in that
- 7:35Speaker 5: big moment there. But uh yeah, I like the way
- 7:38Speaker 5: that they're they're running this offense right now. And I think,
- 7:41Speaker 5: you know, I thought it was interesting the way that
- 7:42Speaker 5: the quarterbacks, you know, when Matt and the Lanning's were
- 7:44Speaker 5: on there talking about the comfortability that a QB has
- 7:47Speaker 5: with two minutes right, the comfortability for a new quarterback
- 7:50Speaker 5: and a new system with a in two minute right,
- 7:53Speaker 5: And that's how it's it brings out the best in
- 7:55Speaker 5: you because it, you know, in a way, simplifies things
- 7:57Speaker 5: a little bit, and it's plays you've been working on since.
- 8:00Speaker 3: You know what, May, June, whatever. And you could see that.
- 8:04Speaker 5: I mean like there was no there was no two
- 8:06Speaker 5: minutes of that game that Kirk Cousins was more comfortable
- 8:09Speaker 5: than in that final two minutes.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know, Buck.
- 8:14Speaker 1: When you look at what New Orleans has done, let's
- 8:16Speaker 1: look at it from Atlanta's side of things, the way
- 8:18Speaker 1: New Orleans has come out the gate here.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I've seen how bad Carolina is. We talked about that
- 8:22Speaker 2: the other day. But when you look at the Falcons
- 8:25Speaker 2: and where they're situated right now, I mean, are they
- 8:29Speaker 2: I mean, is it legit?
- 8:31Speaker 1: Going back to what we said in the summer where man,
- 8:33Speaker 1: we were talking about them is maybe the favorites to
- 8:35Speaker 1: win this division. And it was so bad week one
- 8:37Speaker 1: that everybody punted on them after one week and now
- 8:38Speaker 1: all of a sudden, you go on the road to
- 8:39Speaker 1: be Philly and it's like, Okay, well, I know New
- 8:41Speaker 1: Orleans is rolling right now, but man, Atlanta's got a
- 8:44Speaker 1: shot at that thing.
- 8:46Speaker 2: They absolutely have a shot.
- 8:47Speaker 4: And the reason why they have a shot is because
- 8:48Speaker 4: anyone who knows that division understand the ribvalry between the
- 8:52Speaker 4: dirty Birds and the Saints. I mean, it is about
- 8:54Speaker 4: as good as it gets when it comes to the robbery.
- 8:56Speaker 4: It's up there with the Ravens and the Steelers. It's
- 8:59Speaker 4: nasty as content. Just uh yeah, So I don't think
- 9:01Speaker 4: you can dismiss the Falcon's chances.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I will say, though.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Obviously Tampa is obviously Tampa. I needed to mention Tampa.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I don't want to. I want to forget about Tampa.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Start two for the Thurst Right season too, and a look,
- 9:15Speaker 1: maybe it's four straight seasons, but anyway, I think you
- 9:18Speaker 1: have to keep.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Atlanta in the conversation because it is a bit of
- 9:20Speaker 4: a round robin when you throw Tampa Atlanta, New Orleans,
- 9:24Speaker 4: how they kind of tend to knock off each other.
- 9:26Speaker 4: I just think New Orleans has been so impressive that
- 9:29Speaker 4: it's kind of taking us all aback, because I don't
- 9:31Speaker 4: think any of us saw that. Even the most optimistic
- 9:37Speaker 4: Saints fan certainly couldn't think that this team was going
- 9:40Speaker 4: to light up the school board like they've lit it
- 9:42Speaker 4: up since Clint Kubiak has taken over.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I think this division is going to be
- 9:46Speaker 1: a fascinating one that will probably run deep into the
- 9:48Speaker 1: season to see who ends up on the right side
- 9:51Speaker 1: of that thing. But again, yeah, Tampa, let's not forget
- 9:53Speaker 1: about the job that they're doing there as well.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Real quick.
- 9:55Speaker 1: On the Philly side of things, I mean, they've had
- 9:59Speaker 1: so many different defensive play callers, you know, off or
- 10:03Speaker 1: defenses that they've tried to run with different guys coordinating
- 10:07Speaker 1: this defense over the last handful of years. I think
- 10:09Speaker 1: it's one of the more underrated aspects of success in
- 10:14Speaker 1: the NFL is because there's so much change that continuity
- 10:16Speaker 1: is such a huge advantage. But this looks like a
- 10:19Speaker 1: defense right now that's under Vic Fangio. That's just they're
- 10:22Speaker 1: trying to figure it out, find their way a little bit.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I just don't It doesn't look comfortable out there now.
- 10:27Speaker 2: It doesn't look comfortable.
- 10:28Speaker 4: And you know, DJ is funny because like everybody loves
- 10:32Speaker 4: holding out your players in the preseason until you see
- 10:35Speaker 4: what it looks like the first part of the season,
- 10:36Speaker 4: because now your preseason becomes part of the regular season
- 10:40Speaker 4: as you're trying to figure out the combination and what
- 10:42Speaker 4: works what doesn't work with the personnel, they have to
- 10:45Speaker 4: go through the growing pains, and you talked about the process.
- 10:49Speaker 4: This is the process the first four games of the
- 10:51Speaker 4: season for the Eagles and for some of the other
- 10:53Speaker 4: teams that held out there.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Guys, it's the preseason.
- 10:56Speaker 4: It's trying to experiment and evolve and adapt to what
- 10:59Speaker 4: you have and then you hope that you're not so
- 11:02Speaker 4: far behind that you're able to kind of hit your
- 11:04Speaker 4: stride and then make up any ground that you may
- 11:06Speaker 4: have lost because it took you like a month of
- 11:08Speaker 4: the regular season to figure out who you really were.
- 11:11Speaker 5: You know, and I do go back to I think
- 11:13Speaker 5: Derek carr, if I recall correctly played a pretty decent
- 11:16Speaker 5: amount of snaps in the preseason comparatively speaking, and you know,
- 11:21Speaker 5: with a new play caller with a new system, you wonder,
- 11:24Speaker 5: you know, how much of that has an effect. Obviously
- 11:26Speaker 5: they're not running a ton of stuff out there in
- 11:27Speaker 5: the preseason, but you know, I mean, it's the stuff
- 11:30Speaker 5: we talk about, guys on that side of things, And
- 11:33Speaker 5: you know, I think they obviously have it in Philly,
- 11:35Speaker 5: but I think you know, when you compare it, there
- 11:37Speaker 5: is such a comfortability for Derek. They don't have the
- 11:40Speaker 5: play makers that Philly does. And still I mean Rashid
- 11:43Speaker 5: Jhahat's becoming one. Right and then protection you mentioned it
- 11:46Speaker 5: on the Monday Pod, Talisi Fuaga has been fantastic helping
- 11:50Speaker 5: solidify that Saints offensive line. So like Carr finally feels
- 11:54Speaker 5: like he has the three peas and I think we're
- 11:57Speaker 5: starting to see the fruits of that labor there.
- 11:58Speaker 2: And he's a pretty good dude, no question.
- 12:02Speaker 1: All right, Let's let's take a quick break. We'll come back,
- 12:04Speaker 1: we'll flip over to the rookie discussion. We'll have our
- 12:06Speaker 1: rookie draft. We'll look at who won last week. Spoiler
- 12:08Speaker 1: Bucky Man. I think Bunky just got up and I
- 12:11Speaker 1: think I think what happens sometimes is it doesn't start
- 12:14Speaker 1: out your way and it's like a fight or flight.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Man.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Bucky came out swinging. We'll get to the results to
- 12:19Speaker 1: that and and have our next draft right after this.
- 12:26Speaker 1: All right, Buck Man, that's a heck of a heck
- 12:29Speaker 1: of a performance from you last week. I like to
- 12:31Speaker 1: see it. I like to see you rebound like that.
- 12:33Speaker 1: You you did not win.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Htt.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Bucky had seven points, I had three, Rihtt had two.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Bucky hit home runs with Jaden Daniels at the quarterback
- 12:43Speaker 1: playing the first winning that battle, and then Marvin Harrison
- 12:47Speaker 1: Junior with a huge founce back week and then and
- 12:50Speaker 1: then it looked the Homer pick with Brian Thomas Junior
- 12:52Speaker 1: even got him a point behind Bowers there that you
- 12:54Speaker 1: had in the third round there, Rhet, So interesting how
- 12:59Speaker 1: we're scoring this a little. I think there's a couple
- 13:01Speaker 1: of different ways you could go where maybe that shicks
- 13:02Speaker 1: out attle differently. It looks like we're scoring it by
- 13:04Speaker 1: round because if we were to go I mean, I
- 13:07Speaker 1: don't want to I don't want to nitpick, but like
- 13:08Speaker 1: if sounds like a nitpicky, but I'm just looking at like,
- 13:13Speaker 1: so I had neighbors who had twenty eight points, which
- 13:15Speaker 1: is a great performance, but I only get to you know,
- 13:17Speaker 1: I get the second place now there behind Harrison. Rhett
- 13:20Speaker 1: has Worthy with four point two, but then Rhet gets
- 13:23Speaker 1: credit for Bowers Uh with eighteen point eight as his
- 13:26Speaker 1: you know pick there and Mconkie has four point six.
- 13:29Speaker 1: But if I put Bowers ahead of Worthy because technically
- 13:32Speaker 1: he was Rhet's second highest scoring skill guy Uh, and
- 13:36Speaker 1: then Worthy goes down there to the bottom, I get
- 13:38Speaker 1: Maconkie over worthy.
- 13:39Speaker 2: I'm just saying, Look, I'm not saying.
- 13:40Speaker 1: That it's it's contrived or trying to make Reht more
- 13:44Speaker 1: competitive than he should be, but it's.
- 13:47Speaker 5: Little well, I mean, like we didn't really go over
- 13:50Speaker 5: those rules.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Now that we've kind of made this a flex.
- 13:52Speaker 2: The running back.
- 13:53Speaker 1: The running back thing has really put this thing in
- 13:57Speaker 1: a tough spot right now, we be honest, But the
- 14:00Speaker 1: order for this week, let's see how do we have
- 14:03Speaker 1: this year.
- 14:03Speaker 2: We've got Rhtt myself and then Bucky today. So Rhett,
- 14:08Speaker 2: see if you can see if you can do a
- 14:10Speaker 2: little better than you did last week. Here, what do
- 14:11Speaker 2: you got?
- 14:12Speaker 5: I mean, I'm going, I'm going Jane Daniels the first pick.
- 14:16Speaker 3: I mean it's there's just no other way around it here.
- 14:19Speaker 5: If I want to get myself three points, an easy three,
- 14:21Speaker 5: that seems like that's the best way to go.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Yeah, there's not great options with the other two quarterbacks
- 14:26Speaker 1: right now because Caleb has not played well.
- 14:28Speaker 2: O Nix has not played well. I don't love you
- 14:31Speaker 2: negative points for oh Man. Well, Jane Daniels took him
- 14:37Speaker 2: a lot of sacks.
- 14:39Speaker 1: You're right, so I can I think I gotta go
- 14:42Speaker 1: Skill guy, I'm gonna you know what, I'm gonna go
- 14:44Speaker 1: back to neighbors. I'm gonna go neighbors with my next pick.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Go ahead, Buck, you get you got to You're double
- 14:50Speaker 1: it up here.
- 14:52Speaker 2: I'm too, will.
- 14:53Speaker 4: I mean, he was so nice that I have to
- 14:55Speaker 4: go again. So let's go Marvin Harrison Junior. Then let's
- 14:59Speaker 4: go brought hours right behind him.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Wow.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, I'm I'm up here. So I don't need
- 15:12Speaker 1: to go quarterback because Ret's already gone with the quarterback,
- 15:15Speaker 1: so I can go.
- 15:16Speaker 2: With the skilled guy. Let's see here. I think I
- 15:20Speaker 2: might go. I think I might go with Bucky's guy here.
- 15:22Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna go betj and go go back
- 15:26Speaker 2: to that.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Well, hm, this is not not great for me here, guys,
- 15:33Speaker 5: It's not It's it's really not right now, Okay. Key
- 15:43Speaker 5: and Coleman had a big fat zero last week for
- 15:45Speaker 5: the Bills. I mean, I think the one thing I
- 15:49Speaker 5: have to do here is go Lad Maconkey. I just
- 15:52Speaker 5: I think that that's going to come back. So I'm
- 15:54Speaker 5: going to go Lad. Gollye you took Bowers from me.
- 16:02Speaker 3: I think I might go. I think I'm gonna go
- 16:05Speaker 3: Jermaine Burton here guys with Cincinnati Bank.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Oh oh, well, you know we haven't picked yet. We
- 16:11Speaker 2: haven't picked Adam Ni Mitchell yet.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Ad Night Mitchell is interesting that he has eleven targets
- 16:16Speaker 1: and two catches, So he's got the third most targets
- 16:19Speaker 1: in these rookie receivers and has two catches.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Like that has to change at some point in time, right,
- 16:26Speaker 2: I'll have somebody else developed that before. I like to
- 16:30Speaker 2: Milik Neighbors.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Milik Neighbors has been targeted twenty five times. Second on
- 16:34Speaker 1: the list of rookie guys of rookie pass catchers, Bowers
- 16:37Speaker 1: has been targeted sixteen times, and then you have McConkie,
- 16:40Speaker 1: ad Night Mitchell, Marvin Harrison, all with eleven targets, and
- 16:43Speaker 1: then Brian Thomas right below them. So if you're looking
- 16:46Speaker 1: for kind of the names the pool of players that
- 16:48Speaker 1: were picking from those are where its right?
- 16:51Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean you'll just put in the chat that
- 16:53Speaker 5: Braylen Allen played, well he did score a touchdown.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Yeah, you know like that, But.
- 16:57Speaker 5: Like, I can you count on that every week with
- 16:59Speaker 5: with Breze Hall.
- 17:00Speaker 2: In the mix.
- 17:00Speaker 3: I just don't know if you can.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Let me give you the rushing let me give you
- 17:03Speaker 2: the rookie rushing numbers, like the most attempts. Let's see
- 17:07Speaker 2: rookie rushing attempts. Well.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Jayden Daniels obviously is at the top with twenty five.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Bucky Irvings got sixteen carries, Trey Benson's for the Cardinals
- 17:17Speaker 1: has fourteen. Ray Davis from the Bills is a player
- 17:20Speaker 1: we all liked. He's got twelve. Caleb's got ten. So
- 17:23Speaker 1: then you start going down there, Brayley Alad's got eight carries.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I mean, like, I don't know if you can if
- 17:28Speaker 1: you can go there.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Not just my opinion.
- 17:32Speaker 5: I mean, you know, getting said we're doing point per reception, right,
- 17:35Speaker 5: so I mean like technically he's you know, he's catching
- 17:38Speaker 5: some balls too, right.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Yeah, So you're doubling up here, you gotta double up.
- 17:43Speaker 3: I doubled up, Yeah, I did. Ladd In Jermaine.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Burton, Laddin Burdon. Okay, Well, I mean I'm gonna take Caleb. Yeah,
- 17:50Speaker 1: take Caleb for a little bounce back. They've had two
- 17:52Speaker 1: tough too tough games man, So hopefully that opens up
- 17:56Speaker 1: a little bit for gotta play better up front. You
- 17:58Speaker 1: gotta play a little bit, gotta play a little bit
- 18:00Speaker 1: better up front, all right, but.
- 18:04Speaker 4: Yeah, that's it is bow knicks. So I'm hoping that
- 18:09Speaker 4: the supporting cast can carry bow Knicks. But bow Nicks
- 18:11Speaker 4: at some point we got to break.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Him out of the glass. So I'm hoping that this is
- 18:14Speaker 2: a week Sean Payton can break him out.
- 18:17Speaker 3: On the road against that Tampa defense.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Good luck, Hey man, you.
- 18:21Speaker 4: Never know, never know.
- 18:24Speaker 1: By the way, you guys want some other rookie numbers
- 18:26Speaker 1: while I go, yeah, let's do it.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Yeah, uh total pressures. Let's go to the pass rushers.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Uh.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Jared Versus got nine to lead all rookies with the Rams.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Byron Murphy with the Seahawks seven, he's been really good.
- 18:38Speaker 1: How about Marshawn Kneelan. Marshaw Kneelan was six for the Cowboys. Yeah,
- 18:43Speaker 1: well how about Western Michigan on here, because then you
- 18:45Speaker 1: got fisk uh with the transferred from uh transfer from there,
- 18:50Speaker 1: so yeah, you've got that was a heck of a
- 18:51Speaker 1: d line. Dallas Turner has has three, so those are
- 18:55Speaker 1: kind of the top guys right there. If we go
- 18:57Speaker 1: for uh, yeah, there's only this shows you how hard
- 19:01Speaker 1: it is to rush the quarterback as a as a rookie.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Here we have Jared Versus has leads. There's three guys
- 19:08Speaker 2: with a sack. That's it. It's Verse, Dallas, Turner and
- 19:11Speaker 2: John Ellis. Is that right? Hold on, let me make
- 19:13Speaker 2: sure that I've got that right. Yeah, that's it.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Uh so he's got let's see Lot too. You want
- 19:19Speaker 1: to see Lat two's numbers. A Lot two does not
- 19:22Speaker 1: have a sack. I can give you pressures. Let's see
- 19:25Speaker 1: a lot too. Right here he has he's one hurry
- 19:30Speaker 1: and one pressure. So all right, he's got a decently
- 19:34Speaker 1: high win percentage. So he's got a seventeen point nine
- 19:37Speaker 1: percent win percentage, but its pressure percentage is three point eight,
- 19:40Speaker 1: which is not great.
- 19:42Speaker 2: So anyways, all.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Right, the pressure numbers right now are kind of skewed
- 19:47Speaker 1: because you've got to put the number of rushes on there.
- 19:50Speaker 1: So yeah, Jared Versus is scored very well in all
- 19:54Speaker 1: these statistics, so I would say early on, yeah, he's
- 19:57Speaker 1: the one who's who's stood out the most. All right,
- 20:00Speaker 1: this is a quick one today. Voice anything else you
- 20:01Speaker 1: guys want to add before we jump out of here.
- 20:03Speaker 4: Just looking, let me see if I can get another
- 20:06Speaker 4: win next week.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah, man, buck came out I mean, I don't know,
- 20:09Speaker 1: did you guys have a player's only meeting?
- 20:10Speaker 2: But last week? What do we do here? How did
- 20:12Speaker 2: we get this thing further round? Like that? It's early,
- 20:15Speaker 2: you know, we got to win that.
- 20:17Speaker 4: The magic number is down to eight maybe for the Dodgers,
- 20:20Speaker 4: and so maybe we're like, hey, let's go ahead and
- 20:21Speaker 4: wrap this up.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Who lets you wrap us up? Man?
- 20:24Speaker 1: I hope the Dodgers get a buy because they've proven
- 20:26Speaker 1: proven over the last couple of years. If they get
- 20:28Speaker 1: a buy, everything's fine. It just works out great for them.
- 20:30Speaker 1: So I'm really hoping for that. Rhet loves baseball talk,
- 20:33Speaker 1: so it's.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Just turning into a baseball podcast.
- 20:35Speaker 2: Now. This is where he exits the Cardinals playoffs. They're terrible. No,
- 20:41Speaker 2: not this year. It's been a minute.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Okay, in a minute, all right, that's gonna do it
- 20:45Speaker 1: for say one boy, anymore baseball talk. We'll be back
- 20:47Speaker 1: tomorrow with with more football coming your way.
