Transcript
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: As long as you want, or as long as you can, as long as you're alright.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_01]: I stayed for nights, oh I'm mistaken, I've lived here all my life.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_01]: No, wouldn't be.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_01]: But everything to see, okay, what's next?
- 0:32[SPEAKER_01]: And you see, it works better than we think.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_08]: Once upon a time, the world was cruel, and it was a witch who knew it well, and so she sold her heart to go to house in the woods with a world could never find her.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_08]: At first, she would let no one in to her fortress.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_08]: But, in the long march of days, a strange thing happened.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_08]: in her own cold and spiteful way, the witch made a friend, and then another, and then another, until her house was teeming with colorful faces and complicated lives.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_08]: The house would come to be known as Yzeba's bed and breakfast, and it would last for a very long time.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_08]: Chapter 2 The Night Market Featuring
- 1:32[SPEAKER_08]: Abby Hippur, as Gertude, Jay Stropman, as Monday, Ellie Davis, as Parish, and Brian Flaherty, as Sal, and your concierge.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_08]: On the front door of Yzeva's bed and breakfast, there is a sign which reads, no soliciting, trespassing, romance, and snooping snitching or unnecessary small talk welcome.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_08]: Yzeva reserves her temper for those she catches violating these rules.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_08]: But underneath that sign is a second smaller sign, which reads, room for everyone.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_08]: It is always September 15th inside the bed and breakfast, even if it's summer, spring, or winter outside, because September 15th is his Ava's favorite day of the year.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_08]: And on this particular September 15th,
- 2:31[SPEAKER_08]: Fireflies danced in and out of the stone wall that ran through the woods behind the bed and breakfast.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_08]: The buzzing of a thousand evening insects was beginning to sound almost musical.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_08]: Gertrude fiddled with the folded on below in the pocket of her hoodie, running her fingers over the guilt edges and bumpy wax, but she'd already read the letter it contained over and over.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_08]: She could probably recite it by heart.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_03]: misgurt-trude, your charm, cunning, and aptitude for magic have not gone unnoticed by all.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_03]: It is my cherished honor to invite you this evening to the night market, beginning at the stroke of midnight, and ending at 12.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_03]: Bring the enclosed ticket and an escort to the wooden gate in the old stone wall at the appointed
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, you say that doesn't need to know, but this little excursion she might get jealous.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_08]: She tried her best to follow the little fairy light dancing in front of her, but the path through the haunted woods was invisible and, frankly, non-sensical to her.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_03]: She asked, oh, Monday, are you sure this is the right way?
- 3:47[SPEAKER_03]: There's no path I know better, my dear.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_08]: Monday's voice sings song in the night seemed both ahead and behind her.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_03]: Not even the way back.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_08]: They stepped through a wooden gate suspiciously like the one in Yzeba's backyard, and Gertrude felt her hair puffed out as the air became muggy and full of unidentified smells both enticing and repugnant.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_08]: The melodic buzzing and croaking of wildlife resolved itself into real music, and the muffled den of barkers addressing unruly crowds.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_08]: As always, she had more questions than she knew how to ask.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_10]: Also, how can the market begin at midnight and end at 12?
- 4:27[SPEAKER_10]: Isn't that no time at all?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_08]: This made Monday pause and Bob thought fully in the air as if they'd never considered it before.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_08]: But eventually they chuckle.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_03]: There's always time to shop.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_08]: At the night market was nestled among the trees and expanded far beyond them, rose and rose of tents and stalls stretching off into the dark.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_08]: Its sprawling lanes were lit by moth mobbed lanterns and lined with muddy carpets, and everywhere there were strange and marvelous wonders for sale, the likes of which Gertrude had never seen.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_08]: Ancient swords and fizzing love potions, otherworldly plants, potted and stalls, dresses made from the running waterfalls and candies that gleamed with trapped moonlight.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_08]: But before she could take more than a couple of steps, Monday stopped her with a raised finger, a smile painted on their face and said,
- 5:22[SPEAKER_03]: Careful Gertrude, fairies are treacherous creatures, but I'll stay close beside you.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_03]: So, the question of the evening with all your heart, what do you desire?
- 5:42[SPEAKER_08]: So this is a pensive chapter of Josev's bed and breakfast, so that means before this chapter starts, we'll read through it and select some questions to write down on index cards and then places many tokens on each of those questions as the chapter asks for.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_08]: These questions need to be picked away at, so whenever any one of us does a bingo or a wipsy, they'll collect a token from one of these questions, keeping it if they did a bingo or giving it away to someone else who can learn
- 6:10[SPEAKER_08]: Dirtrude has never really thought about how she could be a witch before.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_08]: Sure, little magic has happened, but it's never been heavy on her mind, but now the world is open to her a world of talking frogs and fairy markets and everything she could ever dream of, and for the first time someone is telling her she's actually good at something.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_08]: Gertrude gets to choose one of the questions below or invent her own.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_08]: As a Gertrude, some of the questions offered here are, what would it take to make me feel like I belong here?
- 6:40[SPEAKER_08]: Who would I be if I could really be anyone?
- 6:43[SPEAKER_08]: And what does it mean to be respected?
- 6:45[SPEAKER_08]: Do any of those questions pop out here as they're a different one you'd like to ask?
- 6:48[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, I'm... I think the first one, what would it take to make me feel like I belong here?
- 6:57[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, this is something Gertrude thinks about a lot.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_11]: And so does Abby.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_02]: We can cut that if we think it's too sad.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_08]: No, it's a pinch of chaps.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_05]: It's so expensive.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, so we have an index card with the question, what would it take to make me feel like I belong here?
- 7:21[SPEAKER_08]: That question's gonna start with nine tokens on it.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_08]: Once all those tokens have been removed, everyone will go around and attempt to answer it with Gertrude answering last.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_08]: Then the chapter ends when Gertrude decides to go home, and we divvy up the leftover tokens during housekeeping.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_08]: However, this is not as a picturesque and lovely as it may seem because Monday's invitation to Gertrude was unsurprisingly calculated.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_08]: They would like to buy Gertrude's heart, and tonight they plan making an offer to the young witch that she cannot resist.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_08]: We're going to write the Witches bargain on an index card at any time someone places they token on the Witches bargain Monday may ask Gertrude a question There's a number of questions here.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_08]: Some of them are like Do you worry about losing control?
- 8:07[SPEAKER_08]: What are you so scared of?
- 8:09[SPEAKER_08]: Are you who you want to be?
- 8:11[SPEAKER_08]: Monday can ask those questions immediately or hold off until they sense an opening, but at the end of the chapter, after Gertrude answers her question, Monday may make an offer to Gertrude.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_08]: They may promise her absolutely anything, but the price is always the same.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_08]: Gertrude's heart.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_08]: No one else may contribute their opinions, they must give Gertrude the space to genuinely consider and come to her own conclusion.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_08]: If she says yes, the deal is struck,
- 8:36[SPEAKER_08]: Monday gives Gertrude the heartless contract to sign and leaves the bed in breakfast.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_08]: If Gertrude says no, Monday backs off and the chapter ends.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_08]: However, at the night market Monday plays by slightly different rules, because the night market is Monday's... uh... place.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_08]: Filmen?
- 8:55[SPEAKER_03]: Well, my house baby.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_08]: The night market is Monday's home territory.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_08]: Monday's going to start with 12 tokens while the rest of us will start with zero.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_08]: however Monday cannot receive more tokens.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_08]: If Monday would receive another token, they will put it on the witches bargain instead.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_08]: When Monday does a bingo or a website, something splendid goes up for sale on the night market, a magical cloak of protection and infinite chocolate bar flaming sword, something like that.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_08]: Monday can tailor the items to suit the characters perfectly.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_08]: Monday writes down the goods for sale on a n-next card and puts between one to three of their tokens on it.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_08]: Anyone else may purchase the wares on Monday's credit.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_08]: If they do, move those tokens for the purchased item to the witch's bargain.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_08]: And then take the index card and clip it to your character sheet as a keepsake.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_08]: So if we buy any these items as fantasticals they may be, they do become can we do get to keep them and use them.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_08]: So Monday is going to be making a some very tempting offers in order to move more tokens to the Witches bargain to ask Gertrude more questions and hopefully narrow in on exactly what Gertrude wants in order to buy her heart
- 10:03[SPEAKER_08]: In addition, the night market is full of strange creatures with exciting wares, so we may be seeing a number of ferries and fae in tricks, so that we may never see again.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_08]: So to begin this chapter, we all wrote down for little tidbits and tricksy ferry magics and unusual body types and wild outfits.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_08]: So if we meet an NPC, I'll pull two of these cards that we all put together and we'll create a little NPC on the spot.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_08]: The last thing is the night market is a strange and beautiful place, lanterns and string lights dangle from nothing, marvelous tents filled with strange creatures selling everything you can imagine and huge piles of delicious food.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_08]: While in the night market, everyone except for Monday has a big question hanging over their heads.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_08]: What is my heart's fondest desire?
- 10:50[SPEAKER_08]: We're probably not going to fully answer that question during this chapter, but instead, when the chapter ends, everyone goes around and gives as much of an answer as they can, based on how many tokens the question has.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_08]: Then we split up the leftover tokens as evenly as we can for housekeeping.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_08]: So, what is my heart's final desire?
- 11:05[SPEAKER_08]: We'll also be on an index card.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_08]: It is also a place that we can put tokens.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_08]: And this is a place that the more tokens we put on this question at the end, the more we'll get for housekeeping and the more opportunities we'll have to
- 11:16[SPEAKER_08]: Get some items and chachkeys for the very shelves in the bed of breakfast that help us unlock other chapters and characters I love a chachkey We love a chachkey to put on our shelves put on the walls.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_11]: Love a nickname.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_08]: I love a nickname.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_08]: I love a nickname.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_08]: I love a catty-wack And boy, how do we got to give that dog a bone?
- 11:38[SPEAKER_08]: How is everyone feeling any any questions before we get started?
- 11:41[SPEAKER_11]: I have one creature from wrong.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_11]: I vaguely recall Gertrude getting a bedroom.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_08]: Gertrude did get a bedroom at the end of our chapter, Gertrude's birthday.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_08]: Gertrude has her bedroom unlocked.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_08]: In addition, just to remind people because it's been a while since we played this game, Gertrude's sal and parish have all unlocked their second track.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_08]: So Gertrude is on the whitching path.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_08]: Sal's new track is legend in the making and parishes new track is the glory day So you may hear some new bingo's and whoopsies you may hear some new things We're trying to do in order to check things off of those various journeys But you know, we'll play to find out.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_08]: See how it goes You guys feeling good to get going?
- 12:24[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, yeah, let's go shopping Yeah, I'm embarrassed to admit I love shopping
- 12:34[SPEAKER_09]: There's nothing to be embarrassed about shopping is a lot of fun.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_08]: Sometimes you get some cool stuff and, you know, markets like this, they're real indie, they're real rad, like it's a lot of small press.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_08]: It's a lot of like, you know, farmers market type stuff.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_08]: You can get some really cool, chargekis and things.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_09]: And you know, when someone makes like, when it's one of one, and you really know that it's like one of one, or like, you know, one of 10, it's just got that extra little bit of magic to it.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_09]: Even if it's not magical, you know what I mean?
- 12:57[SPEAKER_10]: You're so cool, Sal.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_03]: Did somebody say magic?
- 13:07[SPEAKER_09]: Whoa, geez, okay, so you're so quiet Monday.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_03]: I've, okay, sure, welcome to the night market.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_03]: Did you bring your guitar or something?
- 13:16[SPEAKER_09]: Oh my gosh, of course!
- 13:17[SPEAKER_08]: I'm hoping to get some cool stickers for it, or maybe some like, I don't know some cool strings.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_08]: You know, that maybe have like different tunings that don't even exist in the human spectrum or something?
- 13:27[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to make an album.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure we could find something like that for you.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_03]: I was gonna ask, are you planning on doing any busking, or...
- 13:36[SPEAKER_09]: Ah, you know, I hadn't really thought about it, but one of the things on my new journey is to perform for enthusiasts to crowd, so like One day, that's a great idea.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_09]: I'm gonna go get set up over here.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, oh, hold on You know the rule of busking at the fairy market.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_09]: No, what's the rule of busking at the fairy market?
- 13:54[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you don't know it
- 13:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure you'll figure it out.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, wait a minute.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, Monday, what do you mean?
- 14:04[SPEAKER_03]: You know what, let me just... Let me just have a look over at my friends booth here.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_03]: They've got all of the rules of the market.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_03]: And I think they might have a little rulebook of the night market on sale.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_10]: A parish, I didn't know that markets had rules.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_10]: I thought it was just like, like, cash only, or something.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_06]: Kertrude, with the fairies, it's always rules.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_06]: It's rules, rules, rules.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_06]: They, you, you should see the rule books that they, they, they, they, they come up with.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_06]: It's crazy.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_06]: Wow.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_10]: That feels really intense.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_10]: I don't want to mess up any of the rules.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to do a bingo and take my time and get it right and hang out with my to try to learn the rules for the day.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_03]: I did also just put night market rules up for sale for one token in the year.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_03]: in the show.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my god, okay, so I just took a token from Gertrude's question.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_08]: We're down to eight tokens on that.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_08]: I have one token.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_08]: I'm immediately gonna buy this night market rules because I got it though.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yay!
- 15:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yay!
- 15:10[SPEAKER_03]: So we moved that token to the witches bargain.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_08]: I'm assuming this is at a stand.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_08]: There's probably some Impish Faye creature there.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_08]: So let's create a little NPC here with a little random face.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yay!
- 15:25[SPEAKER_03]: Meet my friends.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_08]: The two random effects that we got are I am vast and beautiful like the ocean or sky.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_08]: If you look past me and up, you will see a constellation you've never seen before.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_11]: What a magical being.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_08]: And their name is Alveus Pudge.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_08]: Alveus Pudge!
- 15:47[SPEAKER_08]: It came from the book.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_10]: I'm not that good.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_10]: I know we have to meet this guy, but I don't think I've ever seen No, look at those cards for your consolation.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_06]: Don't get lost in the stars
- 16:04[SPEAKER_11]: Gertrude is overwhelmed, it doesn't know where to look, because she wants to look at the constellation, but she wants to look at the man, but now Paris, so you're not to look too close.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_11]: At anything, keep everything in your periphery, Gertrude.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_11]: So she's kind of shifted the mask that usually covers her face up a little bit.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: So it's kind of covering her eyes as well.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_08]: I gotta think it's kind of tough because alvious punch is as vast and beautiful as the ocean or sky.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_08]: So to look past them, it's actually kind of tough.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_10]: It just, I'm feeling a little bit sick, a little nauseous.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, alvious, I would love those night market rules.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_08]: I'm thinking of busking, and so these would actually be, I want to make sure, you know, I'm up to date on the rules and regulations of night market busking protocol.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_08]: You know, there's nothing, nothing worse than a busker is not following the rules.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, of course, and if you exactly like you said, if you plan to busque, you simply must follow the rules.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_03]: And they push over like a little zine sized.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_03]: A little booklet for you that it just says night market rules.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_09]: Oh my god, RISO printing, this is so cool.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, they're the best.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_09]: This colors are great.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_08]: Um, obvious, the writing on this is in a language I don't fully understand, and there are a lot of higher glyphs.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_08]: Do you, are you able to translate any of this for me?
- 17:30[SPEAKER_08]: What's the, what's the rule of the night market?
- 17:32[SPEAKER_03]: Um, he puts on a little like pair of pink snake glasses on his back.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_08]: The little clip on guys.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and then flips open the the the book and just looks at it and looks at you in his and he just has of no ballads.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_06]: No ballads.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_06]: No ballads.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, that's kind of like your whole thing, so.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, that's like a lot of what you've been working on lately.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_09]: That's like where the the soul goes to like when you're right in songs you want to put soul into it you don't write a pop you write a ballad this is going to be a lot harder than I thought and Mr. Mr. Putcher what with the consequences be for breaking the busking rules here at the night market.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_03]: His vast and beautiful body sort of like shimmers over top of you.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_03]: So like you're just kind of like they're just standing directly over you looking down.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_03]: Are you willing to test it and find out?
- 18:37[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe sing me about it.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I don't.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not much for singing, but that you should have no problem at the night market.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_09]: But Paris is going to be in my band though.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_08]: He's going to be a drummer.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_08]: It's going to be rad.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_06]: I forgot.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_11]: Kirture is going to tug on South's sleeve and to a bingo and give a very genuinely sweet compliment.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_10]: And she's going to tell South, I know that you've been doing a lot of ballad lately and doing it, but you're so good and so talented that I feel like you could remix it on the spot and you could turn it into like a peppy version.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_10]: Like, I think you really just could do like a punk rock version really quick.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to do a Whoopsie and take one from Gerrard's question and give it to Gerrard.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to get Gerrard.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to give you this token.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_11]: So does this mean I get to play?
- 19:35[SPEAKER_11]: I get to place two.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_08]: So you, by doing a bingo, you took a token from Gertrude's question because we haven't put tokens anywhere else yet.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_11]: We put one on the witches.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_08]: I guess there's one on the witches part.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_08]: So you can either take the token from the witches bargain or your question, which would you prefer?
- 19:50[SPEAKER_11]: I'm going to take from the witches bargain.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to take mine from your question.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 19:58[SPEAKER_03]: For the record, I still get to ask the question placed on the witches bargain, even though the token is being made.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_03]: You've like been to question.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_03]: I've been to question.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to take a token from Gertry's question by doing a whipsy of faking confidence.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_08]: I have to give it to someone who can learn from my whipsy.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_08]: So I'm going to give it to Gertryd.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_08]: And it sounds going to say, yeah, totally, totally.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_08]: I can definitely like turn, you know, my heart cries for you into like a really good post-punk, like kind of math rock, acoustic guitar thing, I think.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, you brought the pedals?
- 20:33[SPEAKER_08]: No, but I figure if I just like make it a weird time signature, like maybe even if NASA ball I didn't want to sound like a ball, you know what I mean?
- 20:40[SPEAKER_08]: Like kind of cheat this has to a little bit.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_08]: Sure.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_11]: Creature to sew in her own head trying to figure out what she thinks math rock might be.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_11]: And so I'm going to please both of those joking on the night market.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_08]: You put those tokens on the night market's question.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_08]: I think as SAL starts like tune up over in an area, you pulls out his guitar and sets up the case.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_08]: You know, it's facing out where you throws a couple of bits of change and like $2 bills in it.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_08]: So it looks like people are already giving money.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_08]: Just you know, the age old trick.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, it gets a pot started and we put one of the tokens in his guitar case.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_08]: No, I'm gonna do it.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: You just get your own success track.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_08]: I'm gonna make a Sal's guitar case, and it currently has one token.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_02]: And if we successfully get all the tokens in that track, we have to tell me what math rock is.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_08]: Sure.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, if we can get seven nights tokens, it's a math rock joke.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_08]: Thanks.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_08]: It's just for today.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_08]: But I think as Sal is tuning up his guitar and kind of like getting ready for this, maybe like a few people are kind of starting to look but known to like gathering yet.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_08]: Sal's thinking about that, that big question for the night market of what is my heart's fondest desire and I think not being able to do ballads is making you feel a little like.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_08]: The old point of this was to kind of like, you know, show my soul, and I've only ever done that through kind of like a bit of cruning and stuff, not quite cruning, but like, you know, soulful things.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_08]: Can I do this any other way?
- 22:33[SPEAKER_08]: Um, and so I start, so tuning up in the background.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_05]: Ballets are the only soulful kind of music, and that's, and that's true.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_11]: True.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not the truth.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_05]: That's the truth.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_08]: I think Sal is found, like, one thing that really works.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_05]: I think that you're kind of singing, and I think that maybe in your kind of improv song, what is my heart's fondness desire kind of comes out, and that question is,
- 23:04[SPEAKER_05]: rattling around in Paris's brain as his eyes glanced over to a very fancy suit of armor stands, like all sorts of like glittery chain mail and helmets, and I'm going to do a whip-sea of loose track of reality while caught up in a flight of fancy, and he is just wide-eyed.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_05]: and walking over to this booth, and I'm going to give that token from Gertrude's question to, uh, Sal.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, yeah.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I think your eyes have the spiral and we get the... Me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me
- 23:53[SPEAKER_03]: Moth Rock has a specific place for fairies.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_10]: Okay, is that why is Moth Rock why it starts at midnight, but ends at 12th?
- 24:10[SPEAKER_03]: Precisely.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my god.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_08]: We stop but on the answer in that question, Moth Rock.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_03]: Now you're getting it, Moth Rock is just a different way to look at the same numbers.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_11]: Um, Gertrude is going to do a Whoopsie and take on more than I can carry, which is the concept of math route.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, where are you taking your token from?
- 24:32[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I'm going to take it back away from the Night Mart.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to not take Gertrude's crush.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm doing a Whoopsie.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I just give it to somebody.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_02]: So I take it out of the Night Market's question, and I'm going to give it to Paris.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
- 25:19[SPEAKER_10]: It's a lot, it's so pretty though, the lights, they're floating on nothing.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, don't look directly at it.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, right, yeah.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_03]: There's written rules, and then there's sort of unwritten rules of the night market.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_03]: You'll get it, the longer that you stay here.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, I know that you've been around the B&B for a little bit.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_03]: You're starting to be pretty good friends with a lot of people there, and there's a bunch of new people here, and I'm going to ask my banked questions from the Witches bargain.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think people see when they look at you?
- 25:53[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, oh, oh.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, um, like literally, or when they like think about me.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_03]: Oh sure, both of them.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_11]: Oh no, um, I mean, I hope that they see a friend, and I know I wear my mask all the time, so a friendly face.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_11]: is kind of a weird thing to see in a blank mask, but, um, I kind of hope that that's what they see.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_11]: Also the sweater.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_11]: I've patched it with like a lot of different types of yarns, so maybe they kind of that eyes really drawn to it.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_11]: It's really busy.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_11]: It's got a lot going on.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it may be the friendly face is the better focus for this whole, this whole thing.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_03]: But I would just advise you, Gertrude, that when you're meeting new people, especially in a place like this, and don't get me wrong, I love the fairies at the night market, most of them, 90% of them are great.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_03]: Just be careful with it.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_03]: Be careful with the friendly face.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_03]: You don't want to, you don't want to be too friendly.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_03]: Just people will be
- 27:13[SPEAKER_03]: They'll want things from you if you're over friendly.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I'm... I'm going to do a bingo which is give cynical advice as a free tip.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_03]: So I get to... I'll take a token from Gertschude's question and put it on the night markets.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_03]: No, sorry.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, you get to make a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a... a
- 27:40[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you're so right.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_03]: I made aware for free last time.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know what, maybe I'll just count this as my, uh, my way of making another way of making another way of making another way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of making a way of
- 28:10[SPEAKER_03]: the fancy suit of armor and I just sort of like do a little fairy-jaging and next to that suit of armor is a perfectly frog-sized suit of armor.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_03]: With a big hanging tongue metal piece so that you can
- 28:30[SPEAKER_08]: You have a tongue-cod-pace, essentially.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_11]: We have just pictures like the interlocking, so that it could go out and come in with your tongue.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_08]: It's essentially a slinky.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_11]: Because it's a slinky armor.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_11]: It's beautiful.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_06]: It's for sale for cute tokens.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_06]: Good sir.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_06]: Good sir.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, yes, the frog armor.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_06]: The frog armor.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_08]: we have to make another NPC.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_08]: That NPC smokes cigars lit by water that bubble and burn blue.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_08]: Wow.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_08]: This person could also be frozen and then thought and stay alive.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_11]: Good for them.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_08]: Their name is Blue Cassandra.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_03]: Luke, Sandra, is that because of the... It's a ghost.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_08]: Or the freezing?
- 29:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, do they have icicles dripping off there, like... They're like frozen blue.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_08]: They've got like frozen blue lips.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_08]: So it's like, they're really frozen recently.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_08]: And are it still in the process of thawing?
- 29:35[SPEAKER_08]: So yeah, they're kind of like shivering.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_08]: They've got icicles dripping off of them.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_08]: They're kind of wet.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_08]: And they have this cigar that they pull out a lighter and they light it, but rather than flame coming up, it's just like a water fountain.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_08]: And somehow that lights this cigar in a way that it now is like bubbling.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_08]: So it's almost like they have a,
- 29:53[SPEAKER_08]: That's a guard that blows bubbles, but it is clear that it is also in some way containing tobacco.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_05]: Nice.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_05]: Incredible.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_05]: Nice.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_11]: Brian, are you going to be Luke Sanger?
- 30:05[SPEAKER_04]: Of course, darling.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sad I love this game.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_06]: Hello!
- 30:11[SPEAKER_06]: I couldn't help but notice you have a perfectly frog size suit of armor there.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_06]: I would love to purchase.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_08]: Oh yes, it belonged to my ex husband.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, what a Don't worry, it's so very well.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so Divorce them off.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_06]: He just threw out of it.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, oh All right, all right, I'll take it.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_06]: It's all good.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_06]: I'll take it
- 30:41[SPEAKER_08]: Of course, of course, here you go.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_08]: Would you like to try it on?
- 30:44[SPEAKER_08]: We have some fitting rooms in the back.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I would love to try it on.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_06]: Yes.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_06]: All right.
- 30:49[SPEAKER_06]: Here I go.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_05]: Um, and you just here.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_05]: No really.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_05]: I'm remembering around in the back.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, big boy.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_06]: That's new.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, in pairs stumbles in the back to get dressed.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_08]: She has you two different size, um, slinky tongue things.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_08]: One of them clearly like larger than the other one.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_08]: It's like, which one do you prefer?
- 31:08[SPEAKER_08]: Which one's right?
- 31:14[SPEAKER_08]: Give me the standard of the Magnum So standard standard's good my husband was the same All right, okay, I'm gonna get to us now You've been do it delightful and I'm so trashy.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_06]: You are my dude.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_06]: Oh
- 31:39[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to put those two tokens on the Witches bargain when I buy that, so that is two more questions.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, my goodness.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, my, three total.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_08]: So just a quick update.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_08]: There are five tokens remaining on Gertrude's question.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_08]: Just reminder when those tokens are gone, everyone will answer that question with Gertrude finishing last and then the chapter can end kind of after that point.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_08]: We kind of move into the end game of the chapter.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_08]: The night market's question currently has four tokens on it.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_08]: The more tokens on it at the end, the more we get for potential like clean up and potentially getting some church keys and the connects for the bed and breakfast.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_08]: Monday has nine of their 12 tokens remaining and sales guitar case currently has one token in it.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_05]: I have one token in my supply.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_05]: I will put on the night market's question because I think Parish as he's getting dressed in the back in the suit of armor is having some big feelings about being in the suit of armor again as he looks at himself in the in the mirror gives himself a little A bed not bad
- 32:50[SPEAKER_08]: I think in the background you start hearing the plucking of I think like an improv song called my heart's fondest desire in 12-8 time and it's also kind of shifting to like 7-4 times somehow.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_08]: It's you hear Sal discovering Math Rock and Strut trying to figure it out and I'm gonna do it for them.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to do a Whoopsie and kind of a combination of fake and confidence and coasting on by I'm going to take a token from Gertrude's question and I think I'm going to go ahead and give it to Parish I think as you're hearing this song you're hearing this sound of someone
- 33:40[SPEAKER_08]: aren't really good at, don't really know how to do, don't feel comfortable in.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_08]: And I think it's a very similar feeling to Uranus suit of armor that wasn't made for you, doesn't really fit you anymore.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_08]: It's kind of like going back to college after you graduated.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_08]: It's a place that you once so thoroughly belonged, and now never will again.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_05]: Ah, and yet it still knows all the like, the little bits to fast and like without thinking about, yeah.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_08]: and Sal is going to look out at a small crowd that is slowly growing.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_07]: I hope.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_08]: What do you guys think?
- 34:19[SPEAKER_08]: Who is listening?
- 34:24[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I couldn't make the call.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: All I want is to make you like roll for a grandson.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna roll about that's not part of it.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_08]: One token in the guitar case.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_08]: You know what?
- 34:36[SPEAKER_08]: I am gonna put my token in sales guitar case, hoping to get more people to think that people have given money to this.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_08]: I'm trying to drum up support by making it look like there were more tips.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, Monday, do you think we could go get some other folks to maybe co-in-listen to sell?
- 34:58[SPEAKER_03]: Totally.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_03]: I think like maybe a couple more poly rhythms on the poly rhythms and it's going to happen organically, but for sure I can do what I can.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_10]: Okay, yeah, is that what's happening right now?
- 35:11[SPEAKER_10]: No.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_04]: Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 35:33[SPEAKER_03]: You know what, why don't you go ahead and do that?
- 35:39[SPEAKER_11]: Gerture's gonna look around and see if she could find like a booth that has.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_11]: She's really looking for a tambourine, but she'll take whatever, you know, some maracas.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_11]: looking for something that she could just sort of like maybe do a little bit in the background and it doesn't.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_11]: In her mind, she's looking for an instrument that doesn't require skill, despite the fact that I know that both Tamarine and Moroccan's two requires skill.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_05]: Good thing you said yourself from the Tamarine and Morocco's coming, there's a guy.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_02]: I want big tamperies.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to perform a little fairy miracle as I watch Gertrude walk away looking for some kind of instrument.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to turn to Sal, who's making a valiant attempt at polyrhythms and math rock.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm going to snap my little fairy fingers and a bunch of butterflies are floating around in the tip jar, which does seem to attract a few more.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_03]: fairies because as you can imagine it's not like we're not using dollar bills around here.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_03]: They're just seems to be a little something extra but I'm going to because that's one of my bingo's.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to take a token from Gertrude's question.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'll put it of course on the Witches bargain and by the way did Parish end
- 37:05[SPEAKER_03]: Then those two tokens moved to the Witches bargain as well.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_03]: Which means I got four big ones in the canon in the canon.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_03]: In the canon.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_03]: In the canon.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_03]: In the canon.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_03]: In the canon.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_08]: In the canon.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_08]: In the canon.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_08]: In the canon.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_05]: In the canon.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_08]: In the canon.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_03]: In the canon.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_03]: In the canon.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_03]: In the canon.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_03]: In the canon.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_03]: In the canon.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_05]: In the canon.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_05]: In the canon.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_05]: In the canon.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_03]: You heard her first folks and of course I'm going to use some tokens, I'm going to magic up a little item for sale at the night market, something that Gertrude's looking for.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_03]: What is your mask look like, Gertrude?
- 37:46[SPEAKER_11]: When we got to the night market, it was a full blank because she was feeling very nervous in self-conscious about this new space.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_11]: And after you told her that she didn't, you, a friendly face can sometimes be taken advantage of.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_11]: She tried to, like, subtly take some dirt from the ground and, like, rub it in a little bit at a little edge.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_11]: But it just sort of, now, one part is just, like, a little bit dirty.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_03]: There are a set of shakers that are exactly the material that makes up your mask, and they have the similar streak of dirt where you put it, so it's almost like it's like mirroring the way that your mask makes it.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm going to put those up for sale for two tokens.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_11]: Gertrude sees these and she's doing that thing that I feel like teenage girls do or tween girls of like you see the thing you're like oh I want it I need it am I cool enough I don't know can I do that I need it and she's having a lot of internal back and forth
- 39:10[SPEAKER_08]: You hear Sal on the background like break a string.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_05]: You hear the armor clanking come up behind you, uh, Gertrude, and Parrish goes, you know, Gertrude.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_04]: Ah!
- 39:25[SPEAKER_05]: If you wear it with enough style, Eddie thinks cool, and I'm going to do a bingo and give a bit of fatherly wisdom and take a token from Gertrude's question and give it to her.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, it's all about confidence, Kirtrude.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_06]: You just got to go for it.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, look at me and then does a little jig in a suit of horror.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_05]: And it sounds real good for that.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_05]: How much Paris danced.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_03]: Paris is so precious.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_03]: In your other ear, Girtrude Monday flits around and asks one of my bank questions, Yeah, who are you trying to impress?
- 40:05[SPEAKER_10]: I don't, I just, I just, I really want everyone at the B&B to think that like, to like me and, um, like, Sal is really the musician, but it'd be cool if he thought that like I kind of knew what he was talking about when he talks to me about it.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_11]: but she's so deeply in her own head now.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_11]: She is going to buy the Morocco as however.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_08]: Those two tokens go into the witches bargains.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_08]: That's two more questions that Monday can ask.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_08]: I think Gertry this also makes you think that as Salas been like trying to form a band in recent days, I think you've noticed that like one of the few people he hasn't asked is you.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my god!
- 40:54[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
- 41:05[SPEAKER_11]: She could, she could maybe do a little backup, some backup, not backup vocals.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_11]: So let's be honest here.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_11]: But she, she's gonna take her Maracas and she's walking back over to where Sal is with one in each hand, like down by her, her arms are perfectly straight down by her legs, even though she's walking.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: And she's just like very gently, sort of moving each one, trying to find the rhythm,
- 41:32[SPEAKER_11]: her treat doesn't have a lot of rhythm even if it was four four times.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_11]: It could be said that time signature is changing pretty randomly.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: This is where I think it helps her and she is going to do a bingo.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_11]: to show off a cool skill that people didn't know I have, including myself.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_11]: And good shirt is gonna sort of stand.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_11]: She's standing just close enough to you that like people could assume she's part of the show, but not close enough that it's obvious, and she's gonna sort of start shaking the maracas and doing her thing and because
- 42:11[SPEAKER_11]: the time signatures of this not valid, make no sense to, for it actually sounds pretty okay.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_11]: Ooh, I'm gonna take a token from the Witches bargain and put it on the night market, and I'm also
- 42:33[SPEAKER_11]: going to put the token from Parish on the Night Market as well, which I believe brings us up to seven.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_08]: Ooh!
- 42:43[SPEAKER_08]: So there are three tokens remaining on Gertrude's question.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_08]: The Night Market question currently has seven tokens on it.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_08]: Monday, how many tokens do you have left?
- 42:51[SPEAKER_03]: I have seven tokens left.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_08]: And there are two tokens in sales guitar case.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_03]: I got to make a big bad item for you guys.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_08]: You've got a lot of questions, Banks.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_03]: I know!
- 43:01[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I can't bother Gertrude while she's performing.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_11]: Do you think that the Barack has helped break a little bit more of a crowd?
- 43:13[SPEAKER_08]: I think as, as the Barack has started going, Sal is like really struggling.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_08]: Sal is really struggling to make this thing work.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_08]: You can hear, like, balance start to come through.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_08]: And then you'll see, like, that looming figure.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_08]: of alvious pudge and then all the little pinsnets that are, I imagine this person is like kind of a blob figure of random face and the pinsnet like the eyes are not in the place that you're like, like, I'm not a matching person, I'm matching like a haze and that figure starts to loom and then you hear the time signature change again, I've no idea how I'm going to do
- 43:56[SPEAKER_08]: This is a real bummer for me.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_02]: This is the second time that you have been the person to introduce weird music into an episode.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_08]: It sucks because I can't actually produce music.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know how to do that.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_11]: The holds.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_11]: We're going to be calling you about Math Rock.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_08]: but Sal's, uh, free me a little bit.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_08]: And I think, Sal's gonna get caught up in his own drama and as Gertrude comes over with them, Roxas, I mean, Roxas are helping a lot.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_08]: And I think Sal's getting a little self-conscious that, like, it took the Maracas to come over to make this thing, like, work.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_08]: So I'm gonna do a lipstick.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_08]: I'm gonna take a token from Gertrude's question, which brings it down to two tokens remaining.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_08]: And I'm going to put that token immediately into the night market's question.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_08]: What is my heart's fondest desire?
- 44:45[SPEAKER_08]: Do you think Sal, as you start coming over and giving percussion to his music?
- 44:51[SPEAKER_08]: I think he's starting to really wonder whether or not he wants a band or if he wants to be solo.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_08]: He expected to want a band.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_08]: I think this is the first time someone's actually come and join him.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_08]: And he doesn't like being shown up a little bit.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's got some fear.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_02]: Could you just show it him up?
- 45:12[SPEAKER_08]: I think, it's a little bit of percussion to it.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_08]: It's made him kind of like settle into a time saying sure a little bit.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_08]: It's made the music kind of start to coalesce a bit.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_08]: And just a few more people now have a beat to go with.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_08]: And now because it's not just like crazy changing time signatures.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_08]: people are sticking around and tapping their toes and you see people getting a little bit more into it.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_08]: And I think Sal notices that the change happened that more butterfly tips started coming in when the maracas got added.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_08]: And I think Sal is going to kind of abruptly finish the song.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_09]: All right, everybody, I'm gonna take a quick five minute break, but I'll be back in just a few minutes.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, I'll be right back.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you so much.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I'm so I
- 46:08[SPEAKER_08]: I'm a bunch of double-ing brook.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm a little bit older.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I'm a little bit older.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_08]: You hear somewhere in the background, it's just an elephant.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_05]: I think a parish is going to kind of step off to the side with you.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_05]: So I'll be like, killer set out there, bud.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_05]: Thanks.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_06]: How are you feeling?
- 46:28[SPEAKER_06]: Enjoying the market?
- 46:30[SPEAKER_06]: It's okay.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_09]: What are you wearing?
- 46:36[SPEAKER_06]: Well, uh, is it obvious it's a suit of nightly armor?
- 46:43[SPEAKER_08]: Sorry, I guess the question is, why are you wearing it?
- 46:47[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, uh, well, you know, I, I'm like, uh, I was what, uh, we talked about this.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_06]: I was what's a night, and um, yeah, it's just good to be back in the old.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_06]: Never mind why I'm wearing it.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_06]: I like it, Sal, and that's all that matters.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_06]: I like wearing it.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_09]: Sorry.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_08]: It's just like, it's just a little, it's a little what.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_08]: I never really imagined.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_08]: I never really pictured you in the armor.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_09]: You never, I, I, I, I had to be in the armor.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_09]: I'm saying I never in my mind's eye, I never put you in the armor, like I knew that the two words went together, but I never like, you know, you know what, sorry, I got it, I'm kind of like, yeah, me too.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know a little weird about the performance.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_08]: I got it.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_08]: I'm just going to go practice on my own for like five, ten minutes before I can get back in.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_09]: I'll be back.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_11]: Before you have a chance to bounce away, Gertrude's gonna come over.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_11]: Um, Sally, I hope it's okay.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_10]: I, um, I know you've been trying to maybe make like a band.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_10]: And, uh, I, I saw these and I thought, I just like be fun.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_10]: Uh, I hope, I hope that was okay.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_08]: Sounds gonna do a bingo and, uh, support someone creatively.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_08]: Sounds gonna take a token from Gertridge's question, which takes it down to just one token remaining on it.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, some Monday if you want to get those questions.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have any questions.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_08]: I don't have any questions.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_08]: I don't have any questions.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_08]: So I was going to see you with the Maracas.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_08]: I think he's finally going to look at the Maracas and see that they are matching your mask.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_08]: You bought or traded for a specialty Maracas and see someone that he truly never considered being in the band.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_08]: And it's just going to take a moment and reflect and kind of just get over his own shit for a second because he realizes that you are putting yourself out there a little bit.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_08]: And he's just going to say,
- 48:46[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, no, it's sorry.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't expect, you know, that to have some percussion with me, so it just kind of threw me in the minute, like that's not your bad.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_08]: That's just that's just on me.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, okay.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_08]: No, no, no, no, but yeah.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_09]: Honestly, like, I didn't, to be honest, I've always just done like solo stuff and like ballads and... I'm so good at it.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_09]: Thanks but like the second the second I because you know night market rules.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_09]: I can't do balance and so I got kind of freaked out and I wanted to perform and you know I wanted to be a famous musician and I got to be able to do other stuff and so You know Monday was like why not math rock and I was like why not math rock and then, but Don't you put that on me
- 49:34[SPEAKER_02]: Monday flies by just whispers in your ear with a drive-by, scolding watch it.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_08]: Okay, I read about math rock in a book and it was like it had sounds interesting and difficult and kind of niche And you know, I feel like a night market that is all like, you know, bespoke one of one crafts and indie scenes If farmers markets would appreciate something as bespoke and indie as math rock and
- 50:05[SPEAKER_08]: And I couldn't really figure out, like, I couldn't keep my own beat.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_08]: And then you came in with a beat.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_08]: And actually it kind of helped.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_08]: Like, I, all of a sudden, there was someone there who was like, telling me what to do, you know, just shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_11]: I didn't, I didn't even know I could do that.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_11]: I didn't, yeah, I didn't, I didn't, I like, you know, I like dancing and stuff, or just sort of, like, pop it along, but I really didn't know that I could, like, keep it beat.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_08]: Um, I'm gonna go ahead and put both of my tokens into the night market's question.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, what is my heart's fondest desire?
- 50:39[SPEAKER_08]: Because I think Sal is realizing that he does want a band.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_08]: He does want some people around him.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_08]: I'm also gonna, I'm gonna do a bingo.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_08]: But I'm gonna go ahead and take it from uh, the Witch's Bargain.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_09]: Um, Gertrude, I, you know, I, I think I was kind of really thought about it, but
- 51:02[SPEAKER_09]: me and my band.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, um, wow.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_10]: So, I hadn't thought about it.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_10]: Plain marocos?
- 51:21[SPEAKER_10]: Specifically.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_08]: South, South Bingo is speaking from the heart and night as the world.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_08]: And South is gonna say, um,
- 51:31[SPEAKER_09]: Gertrude, listen, I never really thought that you'd be musician material, I just didn't think you were interested in it.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_09]: And like, you came out and just grabbed him and like, you just did it.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_09]: And like, I know you can be kind of shy and stuff.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_09]: But you weren't, you just grabbed him and like, you know, bravery isn't not being afraid.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_09]: It's about like being afraid, but doing the thing anyway.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_09]: And you did it to help me out.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_09]: So I don't care what you're doing the band.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_09]: I just want you to be there doing that.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_09]: You know, having my back, being my Maracas when I need Maracas, being the beat when I need the beat.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_09]: And hopefully I can, you know, help you the same way.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_09]: That's what a band is, you know?
- 52:11[SPEAKER_09]: It's a family.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, that sounds really, really good.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think Monday flies over before you can answer it.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, Gerture, Gerture, Gerture, we have many things to discuss.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_03]: I have so much of the market to show you.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_03]: So, that was great.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_03]: Why don't you grab a glass of water?
- 52:30[SPEAKER_03]: Just don't eat anything here that you haven't paid for.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_03]: Another rule that's not written, just more of a, you know.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_05]: Parish was about to bite a giant corn dog.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_05]: It was like...
- 52:43[SPEAKER_03]: You can eat it after you pay for it, but you'll have to pay for it with something that you don't want to know.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_08]: Sal, uh, Regent's into his pocket and pulls out like four toothpicks for free, uh, it's pigs in a blanket that he was given.
- 52:59[UNKNOWN]: Oh no.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_04]: Oh no.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_04]: You know what, Sal?
- 53:05[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think the rules of this night market are that, you know, that's tricked anyway.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_06]: I think, I think do a ballad.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_06]: What?
- 53:14[SPEAKER_06]: Just do a ballad.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_06]: Are you serious?
- 53:14[SPEAKER_06]: Oh Monday, Monday, please.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_03]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
- 53:34[SPEAKER_09]: Parish, what's gotten into?
- 53:36[SPEAKER_06]: Is it just... You know what, Sal?
- 53:39[SPEAKER_06]: I just... I'm back in the suit.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm just, I'm feeling, I'm feeling like my old self.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_06]: And then I'm having some complicated feelings about how you perceive me.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_06]: And so I'm trying to be cool.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_06]: And say, and say, Heck, the system, man.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to do a loop scene of trying to be hip and mess up in the process.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's a good whipsy.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm gonna take the last token from Gerchard's question.
- 54:10[SPEAKER_03]: How dare you?
- 54:12[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, you evil, evil fairy.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_03]: I have so many questions.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_05]: We can get, if you want to.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_03]: If you want, I have to answer my question.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, do it.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_03]: Put them back on.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_03]: I hope you're ready for five rapid fire questions.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_11]: Well, this is what I'm now understanding how it is that you can
- 54:32[SPEAKER_11]: Keep like you keep playing, even after I've answered the question, and so you can just keep shifting tokens around so you can put them on guard truths, which is where the spare ones would come at then.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_08]: So now that all the toads have taken off of Gertrude's question, Monday will still have time to ask their questions.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_08]: But once all the toads have been removed, everyone will go around and attempt to answer Gertrude's question.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_08]: What would it take to make me feel like I belong here and Gertrude will answer that last?
- 55:02[SPEAKER_08]: Once we do that Gertrude can decide to leave at any time and that will end the chapter after Monday makes their bargain.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_08]: But as that last token goes away, we should each ask what would it take for me to feel like I belong here.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_08]: Sal is considering this question and I think for Sal, Sal is looking to be taken seriously.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_08]: Sounds like been playing music, but it seems like a hobby to a lot of people and he wants it to seem like his thing and like a thing that he's really going for and like trying to be an artist and a musician, you know, capital M. And so I think the thing that would make him feel like he belongs is people's respect.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_05]: I think parish wants
- 55:50[SPEAKER_05]: He wants to feel like people see him for what he is on the inside and not just as a tiny frog.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_05]: I think he wants people to look up to him even though they have to physically look down to him.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, oh.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_03]: I think that it's hard to imagine Monday doesn't feel like they belong at the night markets since this is their, this is their spot, this is their home turf, however.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_03]: The situation tonight is a little different because they're sort of pursuing Gertrude and an answer from Gertrude.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that just reframing it to kind of understand what it would make, what it would take to make them feel like they belong in this scenario is,
- 56:31[SPEAKER_03]: They genuinely want to help Gertrude because they see potential and so they just kind of want Gertrude's attention as someone who could be not a protege but like you know someone who Monday could actually genuinely help with the services that they can provide.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_08]: And Gertrude, what would it take to make you feel like you belong here?
- 57:00[SPEAKER_11]: Gertude has both at the bed and breakfast and then this is a sort of microcosm of it has been
- 57:08[SPEAKER_11]: looking at everyone around her and seeing South really be pursuing being a professional musician and seeing parish in his nights armor of seeing parish as what he really identifies as and Monday that this is their element and and showing
- 57:31[SPEAKER_11]: Gertrude around and really being a leader in a guide, and everybody else at the B&B also just seems to really have like a purpose and Gertrude has a bedroom finally and really feels that that made a big difference in
- 57:54[SPEAKER_11]: having more of a sense of belonging and the next step would be to have a purpose or a job and apprenticeship.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_11]: Some sort of goal to be working toward that is separate from
- 58:12[SPEAKER_11]: her beloved books and and knitting her sweater and doing these things that she wants to perhaps be taken under someone's wing or find a job that could be hers and feel like she can contribute that way.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_08]: I think as those answers kind of hang in the cool night air of the night market, we see Gerchford and Monday, often a corner making their rounds and having a little chat that happens to have a lot of questions from Monday.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_10]: Monday, this is really special.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_10]: Thank you so much for bringing me here.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_03]: Anytime.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_03]: For you, anytime.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I've been wanting to do this with you for a while.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, I mean, that's, wow, that's really cool.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_11]: Gertu just heard someone that she thinks really cool, say that they've wanted to hang out with her for a really long time, she's freaking out a little bit on the inside in the best way, I imagine.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_03]: So, that was a great set, Wasal, thought you added a lot with the Maracas.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, thanks.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_03]: Great call.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_03]: Um, is that something that you're looking to get into music?
- 59:36[SPEAKER_10]: Um, I mean, I don't know.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_10]: I'd never really considered it, it was always sort of sales thing, but it was night.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_10]: He offered me to be part of the band, which was really cool.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_10]: I have to, I kind of have to think about it.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_03]: Let me ask you something, has it been an event ever come up for you like when you're dreaming about your future, your life, your goals?
- 59:59[SPEAKER_03]: Has that ever come to the forefront, even like top five things you'd want to do?
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, top five!
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_11]: And Gertrude's a little, she looks actually a little bit sad because the answer is no.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_11]: But she's so excited that Sal has asked her and she wants to do it for Sal's sake.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_10]: Um, honestly, I don't think I ever considered it before, um, but that doesn't mean it's not, like, a good thing, right?
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_03]: Of course.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_03]: Life is long.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_03]: You can do all sorts of things.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_03]: Control sorts of things.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_03]: Are you who you want to be?
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I think about it.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, really think about it.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_10]: No, no, I don't, I don't, I don't really think I am yet.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_03]: Are you who you want to be when you're with Sal?
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_11]: There's a part of me, but I also feel like when I'm hanging out with Paris, there's a part of me that like feels like who I want to be and when I'm hanging out with you or when I'm hanging out with a 18 or when I'm hanging out with my forget all the other characters name You say it, but no, I don't feel like myself with you say it, but I'm really sure you say but doesn't like me
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, they feel like there's a hole in my question, so you know what?
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just gonna work that on.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_08]: Hahaha.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_08]: Did that one for 30?
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like they're free.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_11]: The only person who I feel like I'm not really myself with is maybe Izabob, but that's because I'm pretty sure she doesn't like me.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_03]: Why don't you think she likes you?
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_03]: Let me rephrase that.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_03]: What is there about you not to like?
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_10]: Thank you.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_11]: Some, maybe, uh, my sweater used to be, uh, to plain, but now it might be too, too much, and, um, is this the, the mask of like, I hope people see it as friendly, but maybe they don't, and, um, I really, really, really like my book and some people don't really like my book.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_11]: Uh, it's your book, and... I was called Heart Sword.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_11]: Have you ever read it?
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_03]: Of course I've read it.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_10]: Oh my god, how have we never talked about this before Monday?
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_03]: And this is a book that I know of course, but just so that we're all in the same page.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_03]: This is a book that someone else wrote, you didn't write that, who wrote it again?
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, no, I didn't write it.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_03]: You think people don't like you because of the book that you have?
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_10]: Um, baby.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_07]: I'm an anxious teen.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know what people like.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_07]: I'm reading all the wrong things.
- 1:03:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, so you're knitting a sweater.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_03]: You're reading a book.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_03]: You're drawing a bench.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_03]: And it seems like you're doing a little magic.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, I'm, I, I'd never really thought about.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_10]: being magical but then your letter said you thought you saw it and um like maybe that's something I could do more of.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_10]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah um maybe that could be a thing I could do.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_10]: Is there like is there a math rock magic?
- 1:03:49[SPEAKER_10]: No.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_10]: Or is that the magic all along?
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_05]: Math rocks actually more of a science.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, okay, okay.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_05]: Sorry, that was a fairy who walks by.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_11]: Sure, yeah, okay.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that was a fairy named Lix bittle.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, oh.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_08]: Don't listen to them.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_03]: Listen, I don't deal in science.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_03]: I deal in magic.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_03]: I think that what you have is very special and I would like to help.
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_10]: Wow, thanks Monday!
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, anything for you.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that Yaseba's, you know, I'm sure that she would want to help, but help from her always comes with a cost, you know?
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_03]: Not like with me.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, totally, totally.
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_03]: So, you think that there's a part of you that is
- 1:04:42[SPEAKER_03]: Really you when you're with Sal and when you're with Parish and when you're with Hatene and all of the other Residents of the B&B, but when you're doing magic does that feel like That does that feel so I feel like the real you are we getting closer we circling in?
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_11]: I think I think we might be it's a it's a part of me and she it's very sort of bashful and quiet
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_10]: It's a, it's a part of me that feels kind of like special.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe, because it is, it's very, very special.
- 1:05:20[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, with the right help, with someone who could help you hone it, with an apprenticeship, for example.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_11]: Who'd it be the bunnies in the garden who wear funny outfits?
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_03]: Definitely wouldn't it be the bunnies in the garden who wear funny outfits?
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_03]: They, um, they, they love math rock and sort of, they just, it's a science list, they're complicated.
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_03]: They're very complicated.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_03]: No, it shouldn't be me.
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_03]: Hmm, let's see.
- 1:06:00[SPEAKER_03]: Who could I find that would take on an apprenticeship?
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_03]: Give me a minute, okay?
- 1:06:07[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna scan around the market try to find some connections and if you're interested, I'd love to set you up with, you know, a little quick program, a semester or two, and... Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_11]: Gerture does fully pictureing running her own B&B, but all of the residents are the characters from her beloved book.
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_08]: Sal's going to come over to Gerrard.
- 1:07:14[SPEAKER_09]: Hey, Gerrard, I'm going to get started with another set.
- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_09]: Do you want to come join you?
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_09]: Are you done hanging with Monday?
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, I think so.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_11]: Monday.
- 1:07:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_08]: I'm gonna take a token from the witch's bargain to a bingo to do it again, but louder.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_08]: And I'm gonna put that token in the night market's question.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_08]: What's my heart's fondest desire?
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_08]: And Sal is just gonna go to Gerchford and be like, Gerchford, as you're like shaking the Maracas.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_08]: Gerchford, you gotta count us in.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_08]: You gotta go one, two, three, four.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, one, two, three, four.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_08]: And we start jamming again.
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_03]: Not the time signature.
- 1:08:14[SPEAKER_08]: At the time, it's time signature.
- 1:08:17[SPEAKER_05]: Can we fix it?
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_05]: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, seven.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_11]: What do you do?
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_11]: It's the 79th and a little.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_11]: How many numbers do I go to?
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I got it.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_07]: No, we're in the 712 time.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_07]: It's great.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_08]: And we jam for a crowd that is slowly giving more and more acorns and butterflies.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_06]: Do you play a ballad?
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_06]: Ooh.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_11]: Can it be a ballad if they're on my rockers?
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_06]: A ballad could have anything.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_06]: That's true.
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_08]: Sal hears Gertrude say that it takes us a personal front of a challenge.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_08]: And Sal is going to break the rules of the night market and play a ballad.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_05]: Oh my god!
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_05]: Parish Kurds, Kurds himself in his new suit of armor to defend itself.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_08]: The ballad is called, um, does it do you hear the night?
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my god!
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_00]: I have a night call here!
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_08]: And the lyrics are just as faux poetic as you may think.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_03]: I love it.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_03]: Monday flips over to Parish.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_03]: I'm on day.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_03]: What did the rules say?
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_06]: What rules?
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_06]: Oh my god.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_06]: It's fun.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_06]: This thing you and I got.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_00]: God Chase.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_06]: I'll tell you one thing Monday.
- 1:09:55[SPEAKER_06]: Hmm, you fuck with my kids.
- 1:09:57[SPEAKER_06]: You fuck with me.
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_06]: What are you talking about?
- 1:10:00[SPEAKER_06]: I don't fuck with anybody.
- 1:10:01[SPEAKER_03]: I don't say that on the show.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_03]: I did good.
- 1:10:04[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_08]: As perish says fuck sells string breaks.
- 1:10:08[SPEAKER_08]: I was, whoa, perish.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_02]: Who the hell are you doing?
- 1:10:11[SPEAKER_02]: Oh.
- 1:10:11[SPEAKER_02]: Oh.
- 1:10:13[SPEAKER_02]: Gratriots are shaking the barocca's faster.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_03]: You look great by the way, I love this, uh, this little get-up.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_03]: You know who would really love it, Lucas Andre.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_03]: She, you show us in her last husband.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, she is too much for me, too much woman for me, I say.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_06]: What do you mean?
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_08]: You hear off, you're off in the background.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_03]: Parrish, I got a question for you.
- 1:10:43[SPEAKER_03]: I got an answer.
- 1:10:44[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think that you's able, whatever, step down, give the B and B to someone new, someone fresh?
- 1:11:00[SPEAKER_03]: Step down, just a question.
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's a wipsy for Monday who comes dangerously close to breaking one of his A-Bus rules.
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_03]: Which means I'll take a token off of the witches bargain and give it to you to give it to Parish for cautionarily.
- 1:11:19[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to do a bingo and give a bit of fatherly wisdom.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_05]: And Parish is going to lean into Monday and say, You know Monday.
- 1:11:29[SPEAKER_06]: One thing that's true in this life, I've learned.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_06]: You gotta know the pecking order.
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_06]: And you Zeba, is that the dip-bitty top of the pecking order?
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.
- 1:11:44[SPEAKER_06]: You, there's somewhere in the middle here.
- 1:11:48[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not thinking me, I'm not thinking that I'm not thinking me, I'm not power hungry, I'm not an evil fairy.
- 1:11:55[SPEAKER_06]: No!
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_06]: No!
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_06]: You fool?
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_06]: Oh my god, I thought we had a good thing going.
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we do.
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_06]: We have this sort of antagonistic thing where I try to protect the kids from you and you try to make them do evil fairy things.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_06]: What, I thought we were on the same page.
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_03]: I've never been evil in my life.
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_03]: How dare you.
- 1:12:16[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:12:17[SPEAKER_03]: Listen, I'm not, I'm not talking about me.
- 1:12:19[SPEAKER_03]: I'm talking about, I mean, have you noticed that Gertrude is really exhibiting some interesting talents lately?
- 1:12:27[SPEAKER_03]: Similar to 13.
- 1:12:30[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:12:31[SPEAKER_03]: Give her a second.
- 1:12:33[SPEAKER_03]: I was like seven when I started this night market.
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_03]: You're a fairy.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_06]: She's a human.
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_06]: So?
- 1:12:41[SPEAKER_06]: She's got to figure it out on her own.
- 1:12:44[SPEAKER_03]: Why on her own?
- 1:12:45[SPEAKER_03]: Why can't she have someone helping her?
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_06]: Are you helping?
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_03]: I could.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if I want that kind of help.
- 1:12:55[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's not up to you, is it?
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe not, but Gertr is a good kid.
- 1:13:00[SPEAKER_05]: I think she'll do the right thing.
- 1:13:01[SPEAKER_06]: I know.
- 1:13:02[SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna put those two tokens I have in the night market's question.
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_05]: Up to 13 on the night market's question.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_11]: Lucky 13.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_05]: Is any consequence of you playing a bell at all?
- 1:13:21[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, can we make a new fairy NPC?
- 1:13:24[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, you make a new fairy NPC.
- 1:13:25[SPEAKER_08]: That new fairy NPC.
- 1:13:27[SPEAKER_08]: Anyway, do me a favorite.
- 1:13:29[SPEAKER_08]: Describe what this fairy is doing.
- 1:13:32[SPEAKER_08]: And after you describe what it's doing, I'll describe to you what things we pulled.
- 1:13:37[SPEAKER_05]: I think that that ferry is is unpacking a very complex set of facetocates from somewhere.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_05]: Like kind of like a big like overly- is that what it's called stockates where you put your arms and head through?
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_05]: It could be over-cooling complicated, but it is.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 1:13:59[SPEAKER_05]: You've got to screw it in the box.
- 1:14:04[SPEAKER_05]: It's an adaptable one for all the different creatures of the face.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_11]: He has to sort out what the correct size.
- 1:14:11[SPEAKER_08]: There are like 20 holes and also like 20 corresponding rubber corks.
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 1:14:16[SPEAKER_08]: So you've got to put the private balls on the floor.
- 1:14:17[SPEAKER_05]: He's eyeballing cells, measurements.
- 1:14:20[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, you see this stock-aid owner, uh, this is the guy that sells stock-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a
- 1:14:52[SPEAKER_03]: When it's whispered to him, yes, when he started setting up his stuff because I did a Whoopsie, I'm going to manifest a new item in the market for three tokens, which are the keys to
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_08]: I think Sal is too busy doing this ballad, can you hear the night and does not notice that these stockids are getting set up.
- 1:15:22[SPEAKER_08]: But I think is drawing a bigger crowd by leaning into who he really is and also giving her through some like light signals of like when to really shake, when to go at it, you know, because every ballad needs Morocco.
- 1:15:34[SPEAKER_10]: Exactly.
- 1:15:35[SPEAKER_08]: is starting to draw more of a crowd and starting to feel like you see some kind of becoming a bit more effervescent and playing to the crowd and really getting into it.
- 1:15:44[SPEAKER_08]: It doesn't notice the terrible faith that it's a waiting behind them.
- 1:15:48[SPEAKER_11]: Kurtzard does notice, and she also notices the keys and she's overwhelmed with all of the questions that Monday asked her and also trying to keep the beat, which means she's a little bit off the beat, which then she relaxes into it and gets back on the beat, and she's going to do a whipsy and keep a secret that I shouldn't keep.
- 1:16:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to tell Sal that I've seen all of them.
- 1:16:20[SPEAKER_11]: And I will take one from the Witches bargain and I'm going to give it to Parish in the hopes that
- 1:16:30[SPEAKER_02]: the adults in the room might do something.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_08]: You just see Gertrude like, but that's okay.
- 1:16:37[SPEAKER_08]: My eyes just really big looking at you.
- 1:16:42[SPEAKER_02]: She's not doing the like glance at that glance at you.
- 1:16:45[SPEAKER_02]: She's just unbreaking.
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_02]: I contact at parish.
- 1:16:48[SPEAKER_06]: She's gonna rock at you.
- 1:16:50[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, oh.
- 1:16:51[SPEAKER_06]: Monday.
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_06]: I got a good talk.
- 1:16:54[SPEAKER_06]: Good talk.
- 1:16:55[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe we weren't done.
- 1:16:56[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, but I'm done.
- 1:16:59[SPEAKER_05]: And Parrish hops away and Parrish is going to blunder head first into the best solution.
- 1:17:06[SPEAKER_05]: I'll do a bingo and take a token off the Witches bargain.
- 1:17:10[SPEAKER_05]: And I think that Parrish is like stumbling, trying to move through the crowd and like gets twisted around this armor and can't see.
- 1:17:18[SPEAKER_05]: And then bumps head first into a face swordsmith.
- 1:17:23[SPEAKER_05]: Um, and there's just a perfect sword to go with his, uh, his at nights outfit that he knocks off this guy's waist and this guy's name
- 1:17:33[SPEAKER_08]: is, uh, forget me now, I don't know.
- 1:17:36[SPEAKER_08]: He has a suit made of boring ties, but the outfit actually really works and it's really fun, but each of the individual ties is pretty boring.
- 1:17:42[SPEAKER_08]: Um, and he always looks perfect in photos, no matter what, you can never catch one of the best for him.
- 1:17:48[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, look at him.
- 1:17:49[SPEAKER_06]: What a fairy match.
- 1:17:51[SPEAKER_06]: Cool thing.
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_06]: Good eye, Blair, all this.
- 1:17:54[SPEAKER_08]: You would like my sword, sir.
- 1:17:55[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, if you wouldn't mind.
- 1:17:57[SPEAKER_08]: My sword and I have never been parted for the past 200 years, I call it needle nose.
- 1:18:04[SPEAKER_06]: Well, what's that over there?
- 1:18:06[SPEAKER_05]: And parish points.
- 1:18:07[SPEAKER_05]: What?
- 1:18:08[SPEAKER_05]: And then parish runs away with the sword.
- 1:18:09[SPEAKER_04]: Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha,
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_08]: you make off with the sword and uh... forget me not uh... looks back goes bo-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-
- 1:18:45[SPEAKER_08]: in the moment is looking with us like crazy face, like the world, but in the picture is perfectly standing still with a mug of cider, like giving you the kind of like Captain Morgan type vibe.
- 1:18:55[SPEAKER_08]: How does he do it?
- 1:18:57[SPEAKER_08]: No, it does.
- 1:18:58[SPEAKER_08]: And the headline is, uh, forget me not question mark.
- 1:19:04[SPEAKER_03]: I can't admit, not a question.
- 1:19:06[SPEAKER_03]: The headline guy was off of it.
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_05]: That's my job.
- 1:19:11[SPEAKER_05]: Looks good never picture.
- 1:19:12[SPEAKER_08]: Can't have a good headline written about it.
- 1:19:16[SPEAKER_08]: The headline is, forget something, question marks.
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_08]: And there's the picture, but there's also the dotted outline of where the sword would be.
- 1:19:23[SPEAKER_08]: And that's good.
- 1:19:26[SPEAKER_08]: And there's a 8,000 word article immediately written.
- 1:19:30[SPEAKER_07]: the press is ice out.
- 1:19:32[SPEAKER_07]: Extra x3 read all about it.
- 1:19:34[SPEAKER_07]: Forget me not sword stolen.
- 1:19:36[SPEAKER_07]: First time in 400 years.
- 1:19:38[SPEAKER_07]: Forget me not in the morning.
- 1:19:39[SPEAKER_07]: We'll turn to stone.
- 1:19:41[SPEAKER_07]: I'm just borrowing it.
- 1:19:43[SPEAKER_07]: Should the sword not be returned.
- 1:19:45[SPEAKER_07]: A volcano will erupt.
- 1:19:48[SPEAKER_07]: Oh god.
- 1:19:49[SPEAKER_07]: Count down to doomsday has begun.
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_11]: Gertrude somewhat unconsciously has started walking like a little bit away from
- 1:20:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's like that self-preservation thing, but she's like it's unconscious and she's she is as she's starting to realize that she's like walking away from the danger.
- 1:20:10[SPEAKER_02]: She's feeling really guilty about it.
- 1:20:13[SPEAKER_08]: The Moroccan start fading into the background and panning to the left.
- 1:20:17[SPEAKER_08]: All of a sudden we hear from the
- 1:20:28[SPEAKER_07]: Whoa, hey, no!
- 1:20:29[SPEAKER_08]: You can't stop the music, man!
- 1:20:31[SPEAKER_08]: It sounds like it can tin you playing the ballad, even as he gets blocked into the stock head.
- 1:20:37[SPEAKER_08]: And this is also still sticking out of the way.
- 1:20:38[SPEAKER_05]: He's not getting knocked out.
- 1:20:39[SPEAKER_05]: He's not getting knocked out.
- 1:20:40[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, I'm gonna do a bingo rescue someone else from Parallel.
- 1:20:45[SPEAKER_05]: And Parallel.
- 1:20:46[SPEAKER_05]: Weeps into the air to you just see quick.
- 1:20:53[SPEAKER_05]: The flashes of the sword and the stock aid rumbles into bits.
- 1:20:57[SPEAKER_08]: Around.
- 1:20:58[SPEAKER_08]: Whiskered Tim takes two smaller stock aids that are clearly like novelty stock aids, and swings them around and they open up like switch blades.
- 1:21:09[SPEAKER_06]: Let's dance!
- 1:21:12[SPEAKER_08]: And in the background of this scene, there is an epic duel.
- 1:21:15[SPEAKER_08]: It's very embarrassing, and it was good to have him.
- 1:21:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's just slowly maraka-ing in the back of my mind.
- 1:21:26[SPEAKER_03]: Dueling the stockade guy does not against the rules.
- 1:21:28[SPEAKER_03]: It's just the ballads thing, so.
- 1:21:30[SPEAKER_03]: However, this results a little bit fine.
- 1:21:33[SPEAKER_07]: Good to know.
- 1:21:35[SPEAKER_07]: Parishaw, ride a ballad of you!
- 1:21:42[SPEAKER_02]: It hurts your sword as saddles through way back up to Monday as again, to kick out in the authority figure.
- 1:21:50[SPEAKER_02]: Crazy night, huh?
- 1:21:51[SPEAKER_11]: Uh, is this like how things usually go with the night market?
- 1:21:57[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, every time.
- 1:22:00[SPEAKER_03]: But it's almost 12.
- 1:22:03[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, how can you tell?
- 1:22:05[SPEAKER_03]: I just know.
- 1:22:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's a fairies intuition.
- 1:22:09[SPEAKER_10]: That's really cool.
- 1:22:12[SPEAKER_03]: How are you feeling?
- 1:22:14[SPEAKER_10]: Um, I, I think maybe it's time to go home, but this is really, really cool, but, um, I just, well, first I'm worried about Sally and Parish, um, but also, I just, I feel like I've got a lot of
- 1:22:35[SPEAKER_11]: A lot of questions, a lot of things to think about, you know?
- 1:22:39[SPEAKER_11]: Hmm.
- 1:22:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, of course, you've got lots to think about, you know, what your place is in this bed and breakfast, what your future looks like, whether in a band or not.
- 1:22:53[SPEAKER_10]: Right, yeah, the band.
- 1:22:55[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Gertrude, there's something I've noticed about you, is that whenever you find something that you are good at or you want to improve at anything, you just go for it.
- 1:23:07[SPEAKER_03]: I love that about you.
- 1:23:09[SPEAKER_03]: I watched you join a band today on a whim.
- 1:23:13[SPEAKER_03]: And I guess I did do that.
- 1:23:15[SPEAKER_03]: You did.
- 1:23:15[SPEAKER_03]: You did.
- 1:23:17[SPEAKER_03]: You're always teaching people about these new crazy books that you're reading.
- 1:23:21[SPEAKER_03]: You're knitting your little sweaters.
- 1:23:25[SPEAKER_11]: Well, it's just sort of doing repairs on my favorite one, but I just I can never find the same yarn that I used last time So I just have to it's always new yarn.
- 1:23:34[SPEAKER_11]: I don't really know where it comes from.
- 1:23:36[SPEAKER_03]: You're a person of many talents He thinks one day and I think that this new growing talent of yours this magic is something really special
- 1:23:50[SPEAKER_03]: And if I know anything about you, it's that you don't need help to figure it out.
- 1:23:56[SPEAKER_03]: You always figure things out on your own, don't you?
- 1:23:58[SPEAKER_10]: I guess I do.
- 1:24:01[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
- 1:24:02[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
- 1:24:04[SPEAKER_10]: I'm pretty, I'm pretty crafty sometimes.
- 1:24:08[SPEAKER_03]: So, I don't know if you know this, but you say about owes me a little something.
- 1:24:14[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, whoa, hot, wow, it's a long story.
- 1:24:18[SPEAKER_03]: It's a long story, it's a long story, it's a long story.
- 1:24:21[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, but there's a few favors I can call in, and a few strings I can pull.
- 1:24:29[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that from what I'm noticing, you're looking for something to do around here.
- 1:24:36[SPEAKER_03]: A purpose.
- 1:24:38[SPEAKER_10]: I think I really am.
- 1:24:44[SPEAKER_03]: and hired, and boy, I think you could do such a good job of running this B&B.
- 1:24:52[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 1:24:54[SPEAKER_03]: Um, you think?
- 1:24:57[SPEAKER_03]: I know.
- 1:24:59[SPEAKER_03]: and you know, Gertrude, if you're interested, no pressure at all, but you know I'm always here to help.
- 1:25:06[SPEAKER_03]: And I would love to set something up for you a little retirement clause for your Zaba.
- 1:25:13[SPEAKER_03]: To ensure that once you're ready, you can be brought to your full potential.
- 1:25:16[SPEAKER_03]: Is that something you'd like?
- 1:25:19[SPEAKER_10]: That does sound interesting.
- 1:25:23[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know that everything has a cost, right?
- 1:25:28[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, um, yeah, I guess, yeah, yeah, Paris just sits stuff like that before.
- 1:25:37[SPEAKER_03]: All I need from you, you know, the other fairies around here, they charge horrible, horrible prices, butterflies, and an arm in a leg, an arm in a leg, literally.
- 1:25:52[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god.
- 1:25:54[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my own!
- 1:25:56[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, or someone else is if you have access to it, it really doesn't matter.
- 1:25:59[SPEAKER_03]: Oh no.
- 1:26:01[SPEAKER_03]: And all I am asking from you is just a little bit of your heart.
- 1:26:09[SPEAKER_03]: My heart?
- 1:26:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and think about it.
- 1:26:11[SPEAKER_03]: Through your heart and exchange for a purpose, a job, something to do, something to be.
- 1:26:17[SPEAKER_03]: Who you could be for the rest of your life?
- 1:26:22[SPEAKER_03]: Who you'll be remembered as?
- 1:26:23[SPEAKER_10]: That's... Wow, yeah.
- 1:26:30[SPEAKER_10]: It's a good deal.
- 1:26:31[SPEAKER_10]: Who will I be remembered as?
- 1:26:48[SPEAKER_08]: So Gertrude, as this offer has been made, Sal and Parish cannot contribute to our opinions.
- 1:26:54[SPEAKER_08]: You must make the decision yourself.
- 1:26:57[SPEAKER_05]: We're in pitch combat.
- 1:26:58[SPEAKER_05]: We couldn't contribute to our opinions anyway.
- 1:27:00[SPEAKER_11]: You couldn't, you're busy, your hands are fall.
- 1:27:02[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, in the background, you see your t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-t-
- 1:27:20[SPEAKER_11]: Creatures?
- 1:27:22[SPEAKER_11]: This is just really taking this in and she's really thinking about it and this is something that she
- 1:27:30[SPEAKER_11]: This is a lot of what she wants.
- 1:27:31[SPEAKER_11]: She wants to have a purpose and something to work towards and Monday even through him that, you know, this isn't something that would happen right now because she doesn't feel ready right now.
- 1:27:42[SPEAKER_11]: This is something that she would get.
- 1:27:45[SPEAKER_11]: She would be assured that she would have when she felt she was ready for it.
- 1:27:50[SPEAKER_11]: which is clever, of Monday, just to add and that all she'd have to give is a piece of her heart.
- 1:28:01[SPEAKER_11]: Kind of the whole thing if I'm being honest, but she does somewhat feel, yeah, it's sort of an
- 1:28:18[SPEAKER_11]: who she is and her heart and how she wants to belong and running her own B&B sounds interesting and she almost goes into a little daydream.
- 1:28:31[SPEAKER_11]: Thinking about running her own B&B and all of the residents being characters from her beloved heart sword.
- 1:28:40[SPEAKER_11]: And then she remembers a part of the book, very dramatic.
- 1:28:46[SPEAKER_11]: When the incredible Captain Red Tooth lays dying and they want so desperately to save him and ask Selena what can I do and Selena in much the same way that Monday has presented an offer but at a cost, I can bring your dead brave Captain back to life although it will cost a terrible price.
- 1:29:15[SPEAKER_11]: I don't care if I have to rip out my own heart, I'll do anything to save him.
- 1:29:21[SPEAKER_11]: This doesn't feel the same level of stakes.
- 1:29:25[SPEAKER_11]: As when, dear Captain Red Tooth, lay dying.
- 1:29:35[SPEAKER_11]: And so Gertrude was gonna stand up and turn to Monday.
- 1:29:43[SPEAKER_11]: This is all sound like this is really good, and all things I'm really interested in, but... Pushes the contract forward.
- 1:29:59[SPEAKER_11]: I don't... I don't think it's a deal I'm ready to strike just yet.
- 1:30:04[SPEAKER_11]: There might be other things I want to do.
- 1:30:07[SPEAKER_11]: There might be a different job I want to have.
- 1:30:11[SPEAKER_11]: Sorry, Monday, I don't think I can sign this today.
- 1:30:18[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe tomorrow then.
- 1:30:21[SPEAKER_11]: Maybe.
- 1:30:23[SPEAKER_11]: You want to go get Parisian salad and maybe get out of here?
- 1:30:28[SPEAKER_11]: It's looking pretty bad over there.
- 1:30:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, are they done, or?
- 1:30:31[SPEAKER_11]: I don't know.
- 1:30:35[SPEAKER_11]: Doesn't look like it It doesn't look like it.
- 1:30:38[SPEAKER_11]: Maybe we just sort of collect them.
- 1:30:41[SPEAKER_11]: Is there any way you could distract that guy?
- 1:30:44[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, I'll do some fairy magic, and He'll get distracted one way or the other.
- 1:30:50[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, if someone started ballot at the other end of the market
- 1:30:56[SPEAKER_08]: and as a competing ballad rise from the south end of the market, the south eyes lock on a doling musician and the battle between musicians and the battle between parish and whisker Jim pitches long into the night as we approach the ending of the night market at 12 not midnight for 12.
- 1:31:19[SPEAKER_08]: As we fade away from the night market and we all walk back through the strange dark trails that Monday seems to be the only one who knows the way through and we see the bed and breakfast beginning to appear as we crest a hail in the sun begins to rise as 12 gives way to what is actually 7 a.m.
- 1:31:36[SPEAKER_08]: somehow a question has been hanging over all of our heads a very big question
- 1:31:49[SPEAKER_08]: to end this chapter.
- 1:31:50[SPEAKER_08]: I'd like us to all go around and answer what that is.
- 1:31:53[SPEAKER_08]: And because we have
- 1:31:56[SPEAKER_08]: 13 on the nose because we have 13 or more tokens.
- 1:32:00[SPEAKER_08]: Each of us gets to give a full answer if we have one and we also get to write both the question and our answer on an index card and keep it with our character sheets.
- 1:32:10[SPEAKER_08]: The bed of breakfast will also get a circular dream crystal that we can add to one of our many shelves to potentially unlock some stuff.
- 1:32:17[SPEAKER_11]: A dream crystal.
- 1:32:22[SPEAKER_08]: Who?
- 1:32:23[SPEAKER_08]: I'd love to start.
- 1:32:25[SPEAKER_08]: Oh everyone's sands might some Monday.
- 1:32:26[SPEAKER_08]: You will not answer this question.
- 1:32:28[SPEAKER_11]: I'm going for a walk Monday's got to walk off.
- 1:32:32[SPEAKER_08]: Go for a walk.
- 1:32:33[SPEAKER_03]: There's no way to figure it out.
- 1:32:35[SPEAKER_11]: You guys are going to leave my bed light up as big cigar They took one from blue Yeah, Clementine Cassandra blue Cassandra Cassandra
- 1:32:55[SPEAKER_08]: As we walk through the night, I think Sal begins to think about this question.
- 1:32:59[SPEAKER_08]: What is my heart's fondest desire and I think Sal's fondest desire is to find a family.
- 1:33:13[SPEAKER_08]: To create a found family and in his mind, the little bit that he's seen of the bed and breakfast, the bed and breakfast is kind of, is Abba's found family as weird as that is, and as much as she pretends that isn't necessarily the case, but it's not necessarily SAL's found family.
- 1:33:30[SPEAKER_08]: You know, he's a night porter for now, that's not what he wants to be.
- 1:33:34[SPEAKER_08]: I think the band, like finding a band and making a band, that's his found family, and he wants to make that into reality.
- 1:33:42[SPEAKER_08]: And I think with Gertrude now behind him, you know, Morocco is kind of shaking lazily as you guys walk, knows for sure that that's what he wants.
- 1:33:50[SPEAKER_08]: And I think he'll know that he's ready to leave the bed and breakfast and leave night portering behind for good.
- 1:33:56[SPEAKER_08]: When he has that new family that new band and I think he's already decided on the name of the band The name of the band is the Salute Utations.
- 1:34:06[SPEAKER_11]: Oh my God.
- 1:34:06[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, I love it Not Sal in the Utations Oh, that's better Paris is piece of father the advice for the night.
- 1:34:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:34:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah
- 1:34:21[SPEAKER_05]: Parish is thinking a lot about his life these days, both versions of it, his life as a night and his life as a frog and his life as this sort of pseudo dad figure to to the kids at the BNB and caretaker of the house
- 1:34:39[SPEAKER_05]: And I think that parish's truest desire is what it's always been, which is to be a hero, and to be remembered as a hero, he's getting older, he knows he doesn't have, you know, forever around here.
- 1:34:56[SPEAKER_05]: And I think that it's just he's realizing that...
- 1:35:00[SPEAKER_05]: Hero is a little different now than it was when he was younger, and he just wants really the Gertrude and Hay Kid and Sal to see him as such, and to leave a legacy with them in kind of the lessons, thinking about that conversation with Monday, and you know if he's done his job right Gertrude doesn't sell her heart and Sal, and if he's done his job right Sal doesn't do
- 1:35:27[SPEAKER_05]: Um, so I think he's a lot of thinking a lot about his legacy and how he wants the legacy of being a hero.
- 1:35:35[SPEAKER_08]: And Gertrude.
- 1:35:37[SPEAKER_08]: What is Gertrude's heart's fondest desire?
- 1:35:42[SPEAKER_11]: Ironically, given the other big question that Gertrude has confronted this evening at the night market, Gertrude's fondest desire is a sense of belonging, belonging in her own body,
- 1:36:14[SPEAKER_11]: sort of any space that she can think of is to have a sense of comfort and assurance that this is right and good and that she belongs exactly where she is.
- 1:36:32[SPEAKER_08]: And we slowly fade from this scene as Gertrude and Sal and Parish and the would be a
- 1:36:43[SPEAKER_08]: return.
- 1:36:46[SPEAKER_08]: And it would be heartbroken.
- 1:36:48[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you.
- 1:36:51[SPEAKER_08]: And it would be heartbroken Monday return to the bed and breakfast.
- 1:36:55[SPEAKER_08]: Toting a few extra items with them, including a rulebook, some maracas, and a very very fine suit of frog armor.
- 1:37:07[SPEAKER_08]: and that it's all for this episode of Yazewa's Dead and Breakfast.
- 1:37:12[SPEAKER_00]: Woo!
- 1:37:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yay, Paris!
- 1:37:17[SPEAKER_08]: Thank you so much for joining us, everybody.
- 1:37:20[SPEAKER_08]: We're going to be going over to the dice pool now to do the housekeeping where we're going to be a choice, a choice, a choice, a choice.
- 1:37:26[SPEAKER_08]: We love choice, isn't it?
- 1:37:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's a choice, it's a choice, it's a choice.
- 1:37:30[SPEAKER_08]: And we're going to do a little sweeping a little bit of choice and figure out how we're going to be advancing our characters if we're possibly going to be unlocking some new chapters or some new playable characters.
- 1:37:39[SPEAKER_08]: So come join us over in the dice pool if you want to hear a little bit of housekeeping.
- 1:37:43[SPEAKER_08]: But until then, remember, there's room.
- 1:37:47[SPEAKER_08]: for everyone.
- 1:37:48[SPEAKER_08]: Bye-bye everybody.
- 1:37:49[SPEAKER_03]: Bye-bye.
- 1:37:52[SPEAKER_03]: Part please.
- 1:37:54[SPEAKER_08]: Part please, yam yam yam.
- 1:37:57[SPEAKER_11]: Yam yam.
- 1:37:58[SPEAKER_08]: Good stuff everybody.
- 1:38:01[SPEAKER_11]: That was a good offer from Monday.
- 1:38:03[SPEAKER_11]: It was good.
- 1:38:05[SPEAKER_11]: If I didn't already, I don't remember exactly what the consequences are, but I do remember them being very dramatic.
- 1:38:12[SPEAKER_11]: And if I didn't remember that or know that at all, I think I would have taken the deal.
- 1:38:17[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, save it for the talk back.
- 1:38:18[SPEAKER_11]: Okay.
- 1:38:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yay!
