Transcript
- 0:00Today's Randy Big ninety eight point seven. It's Pike and Amanda in the morning.
- 0:03I didn't think it would come to this this early in Amanda and I
- 0:06because we've known each other Pike and Amanda for what since two thousand and nine?
- 0:09Yeah, long time. But I've been away for a few years now.
- 0:12I come back and I know your husband Nick, knew him before I
- 0:14left. Yeah, you guys were really close before you left. The last
- 0:17round, I never saw either of you because you were golfing all the time.
- 0:20It was a wonderful summer. That was one of my faves. Actually,
- 0:24But you emailed me the other day because apparently he's found some sort of
- 0:28issue with our relationship. So last week we had we had just done a
- 0:32lot of really fun things and so we're on our way to the lake on
- 0:36Friday. About you and me? Are you? You and I? Oh?
- 0:39You and I were just doing some fun stuff. So I was just
- 0:41watching some of the videos laughing and people were commenting. I was responding,
- 0:44so I'm just had a little giggle fest going. He looked at me as
- 0:48like, seriously, like why he goes? Why is everything so funny?
- 0:53What did Pike do now? So then all week and long, every time
- 0:57I was giggling or looking at my phone, He's like, is that Pike?
- 1:00What's the Pike doing? Joking? But at the same time, I'm
- 1:03like, do you just not want to see me happy? I think that's
- 1:06probably it. I think that he feels like, you know, he's been
- 1:08the funny goofball in your life, making the kids laugh, making you laughing.
- 1:11Then here comes this guy being all silly. Yeah, really, last
- 1:18week you were just the light of my life, I guess. But listen,
- 1:22I don't want it to be awkward between Nick and I because well,
- 1:23I mean, quite frankly, I need somebody to golf with, right,
- 1:26Yeah, no, there's that. I think we would address it right here
- 1:29at the butt or the butt or whatever the saying goes. It's it's but
- 1:32I used to say, but but it's not the butt of the problem.
- 1:34It's the bud the bud. So I think we should get him on the
- 1:38phone and integrated. We do have him on the great boy ready, all
- 1:44right, good morning, Nick, it's a Pike and Amanda. You might
- 1:49remember me from such places as the golf course. Yep, juicy as ever.
- 1:55Yeah, we just were talking though, and it sounds like you might
- 1:57have a you might have a problem with me. I don't know if you
- 2:02if you got a little side hustle going on. No, I just believe
- 2:09you don't want what I can do. Last week it was oh gosh,
- 2:15what's Pike doing now? Just because I was giggling so much and I was
- 2:20so happy. Well, that's all you do. You did look at that
- 2:22phone and just start giggling on what's Pike saying? What's Fike? All right?
- 2:28Listen? I mean he just can't have the funny guy in my life.
- 2:30He's just not used to this kind of I haven't seen her happy since
- 2:34I et her. Oh happy, listen, listen. I don't want to
- 2:40be weird, but I've known her a long time. I know I want
- 2:45you to be able to want her to be happy. That's what I want
- 2:47for you, guys. As long as she's happy. Well, I think
- 2:51we settle this because we can't both be competing for a man's attention and right,
- 2:55I mean, there is enough of me to go around. Guy.
- 2:59I think what we do is we find out who exactly does know Amanda better?
- 3:02Okay, I think we do a little game where intern cracy work will
- 3:07quiz us on your wife, Amanda and my co worker, and we'll see
- 3:13who exactly knows sir through and through better. Are you ready? Are you
- 3:15willing to do that? Well, you gotta understand I've only known her for
- 3:19two years. Oh stopping, it has been five. I was gonna say,
- 3:22Sydney is what four? All right, we'll battle it out at seven
- 3:27eleven this morning, Nick, and you hang on till then. I'm excited
- 3:31and Amanda in the morning on Big Nutty eight point seven. All right,
- 3:38So here's the deal. Guys having some remote issues with his dishes remote okay,
- 3:44all right, real riled up about it. So of course his wife
- 3:46hit me uposite. Hey, what do you say we maybe rile them up
- 3:50a little more? Yeah, that sounds like a great idea. Yeah,
- 3:54Hi, I'm looking for a mister Jim Dixon. This is Jim Richardson.
- 4:02We'll be double check here. Sure I've got it right? Ah? Yeah,
- 4:05sorry about that, mister Jim Richardson. This year Who am I speaking
- 4:10to? Yeah, Jim, this is Rocky Bowlwinkle calling from TV on a
- 4:15recorded line in regards to an issue you'd reported to our support team involving your
- 4:19TV's remote. Oh yeah, the al right, So my remote stopped working
- 4:24last week and I was hoping you could maybe send me a replacement. Yeah.
- 4:28Before we do that, we're just gonna need to verify that the remote
- 4:30is indeed broken by going through our certified quote is my remote broken checklist?
- 4:36Jim, you got a moment to go through that checklist I was just talking
- 4:40about there. Trust me, I don't need a checklist. It's definitely broken.
- 4:43Yeah, I believe you. I do. I do, mister Dixon.
- 4:45But again, our policy is Richardson. It's Richardson. Oh yeah,
- 4:49mister Richardson in my bed. Yeah. First, I'm gonna need to ask
- 4:53you to go ahead and locate that remote control you were talking about. All
- 4:56right, it's in the other room. Go grab it, yeah, real
- 4:59quick. All right, okay, I got it. All right, So
- 5:03we'll get started here. At first, I'm gonna have you please push the
- 5:05button that says power on the remote. Yes, usually have somewhere near the
- 5:12top, kind of like up towards the top of the remote. There.
- 5:14If you see that, I know where the power button is. I pushed
- 5:16it. Okay, perfect, perfect, all right, So did the TV
- 5:18come on when you push that. No, all right, So this time
- 5:23what I want you to do the same thing, but just go ahead and
- 5:26point the remote at the TV right I'm pointing it. It's not coming on,
- 5:31all right. So now I want you to go ahead and look at
- 5:33the back of that remote. There, gym, there should be a little
- 5:35panel where like batteries would go. Okay, yeah, I'm looking at it.
- 5:40Is there's some sort of like reset button back there. No, no,
- 5:43not at all. I just want to go ahead and have you make
- 5:45sure to see that there's batteries actually in there. Of course, there are
- 5:48batteries in there. What do you think I'm an idiot? No, it's
- 5:50part of that certified checklist. Jim. Okay, all right, let's keep
- 5:54going. What's next? All right? So just to confirm you did find
- 5:57a couple of batteries in there, right, Yes, they're in there.
- 6:00You said that, gotcha? All right? Now this part is very important,
- 6:01all right. So I'm gonna need you to go ahead and see if
- 6:03your remote voice activation function is working, so you can just go ahead and
- 6:08say out loud, Jim, remote on. You're kidding, just moving through
- 6:15the checklist, Jim, go ahead, okay, remote on anything no,
- 6:25nothing. All right, We'll try it again, but this time go ahead
- 6:29and say remote on please, okay, remote on? Please? All right?
- 6:38Laid on me, Jimbo she turned on? Or what? No?
- 6:43Obviously it did not turn on. I told you three minutes ago. My
- 6:46remote is broken. Can you please just send me another one again? Jim.
- 6:48It's just you know it's that certified I know, I know the certified
- 6:51checklist. I just don't have time for that. You didn't happen to,
- 6:55like spill a bunch of gravy on that remote, did you? Why you're
- 7:00like a bunch of gravy. You didn't, like, by chance, dunk
- 7:03your remote in a bunch of gravy, did you? Why would I have
- 7:08dunked my remote in gravy? Well, it's more common than you think,
- 7:12which is why. Actually it's found itself here on her certified checklist. All
- 7:15right, you know what, Just send me the stupid remote or I'm canceling
- 7:18this service. This is ridiculous, h Jim. What? Well? Two
- 7:24things, okay. One, your remote doesn't actually have a voice activation function.
- 7:29It's not a thing. Oh and two this is actually Pike in Amanda
- 7:31in the morning on Pig ninety at point seven. Hey, we're just messing
- 7:35with you. Shut up. Yeah, dude, but you can actually blame
- 7:39your wife because she's the one that put us up to it. No,
- 7:42she didn't really. Yeah, she knew you were real hot about the remote,
- 7:45so she thought maybe you're dunk it in gravy. Oh my god.
- 7:51Yeah, I mean it's been broken. But I can't believe she did this.
- 7:55I was so confused. Didn't you the gravy thing? And I was
- 7:58like, oh, come on, that's where you lost. For the record,
- 8:01it's not all that common. Look up this morning, This Morning,
- 8:05Pike and Amanda in the Morning. Good morning, it's a Pike and Amanda
- 8:13in the Morning. Got a little awkward last hour when we found out your
- 8:16husband, Amanda Nick. He's so little jealous of what's going on here and
- 8:20the Pike and Amanda in the Morning show. Yeah, one weekend and he
- 8:22just cannot handle me being happy. You guys. He just was making fun
- 8:26of me all last week. We were on our way to Lake on Friday
- 8:30and I was just watching some of our videos that we had done. I'm
- 8:31just giggling. And then over the weekend, every time I was laughing,
- 8:35somebody might say Oh that was really funny what you guys did. He's like,
- 8:39what's Pike saying? Now? He's just getting annoyed? Yea, Why
- 8:41is Pike so funny? Well, I mean imagine you're in your car and
- 8:43you look over and your man is scrolling, you know, Instagram or reading
- 8:48text between him and a girl, and he's just giggling. Just funny.
- 8:52Yeah, So we're gonna find out because I don't want it to be awkward
- 8:56going forward. We're just gonna find out, now who knows you better,
- 8:58who's closer to him, because you guys are real pals, especially on the
- 9:01golf course. We sure, so we have him on the phone and we're
- 9:05gonna find out. Nick, are you there, I'm here. Are you
- 9:07nervous? This is quite the show down? No? I got two.
- 9:13I got one kid running around with the golf club hit everything. I got
- 9:16another one that wants to just talk on air. So could that be Sydney
- 9:22Luran by chance? Yep? All right, we'll enter Gracie. You have
- 9:26five questions about Amanda that only somebody who truly knows Amanda would know the answer
- 9:31to. Yep. Okay, So Nick, are we ready? I'm ready?
- 9:33You're gonna have to answer. I'm gonna write down my answer, A
- 9:37man is gonna write down the correct answer, and then you're gonna reveal your
- 9:39answer first, and we'll go best of five. Oh my gosh, I
- 9:45suppose that's only fair? Ye? Okay, First question, what is Amanda's
- 9:52middle name? Um answers are in? Nick? Your answer Lee Lee?
- 10:01Interesting as you can all see. I wrote down Lee thanks to her Facebook
- 10:07account. Yes, in a man of the correct answer l e a.
- 10:09Yes. Not to be confused with me cutting. I was just an absolute
- 10:13doozy of a question into Gracie. Question too. What is Amanda's shoe size?
- 10:20Who? Now, hang on, Nick, I gotta answer. I
- 10:22gotta write it down for this is in women's sizes. Yeah, women's size.
- 10:26As he storms to the closet to go through my shoes, well,
- 10:31there's an Amazon pack as it shows up with loose shoes fans every day.
- 10:37I'm going with nine. Nick's going with nine. I've written down six and
- 10:39a half's average. Yeah, these cute little six and a half. Nine
- 10:46is average, Pike, no idea, No, it was nine? Yes,
- 10:50yes, all right? What is Amanda's favorite food? Good? One?
- 10:58All right? Nick? What do you got You're locked in, locked
- 11:01in. I'm going gallops, gallops, gallops. Okay. My response was
- 11:07you can read it, demanded distilled grapes. Do I go with the best
- 11:13answer because I'm gonna have to go distilled grapes? Sorry, pike Bike got
- 11:20you there, distilled grape rented, stomped grapes in a bottle. All right,
- 11:24we're tied up. Two questions left, Gracie. What is Amanda's favorite
- 11:30season? Oh? Wow, summer? I wrote down summer summer obviously,
- 11:35but these questions just softballs coming in hot here all right? In the winter
- 11:41takes all With this question, what is Amanda's birthday? Easy? Nick?
- 11:48What is your answer? December seventeenth? I don't know a man, this
- 11:54seems and that's banging since we've celebrated, But is it? It is December
- 11:58sixty? Mike? Shut up, honey, my birthday is just simmer sixteen.
- 12:03Nick, Really, dude, you got her, You got her.
- 12:09I don't care if you know my shoe size, my favorite season, or
- 12:11my middle name, but you don't know my birthday. What I was really
- 12:18trying to help you out here, but you yeah, distilled grapes. I'm
- 12:24going to meet a case when I get home on jeez, he's all yours.
- 12:30Honey, we're no visitation rites. Later you can redeem yourself. But
- 12:33do you know your anniversary at least? Oh? This is easy? Eight
- 12:37eighteen eighteen? Thank you? Good job Nick Infinity? Who could forget all
- 12:41those eights? All right? Honey, have a good day. Yeah,
- 12:48you guys have a good one. Bye, Sydney, I love you,
- 12:54Hi, sweetie, have a good day, Sydney. I'll pick you up
- 12:58from school, okay, Like in Amanda in the morning day eight point seven.
- 13:05Well, speaking of lies, and I do know what you mean because
- 13:09my nephews they live across the street from the park, and it's like how
- 13:11many times can I watch you go down the slide and it's like come on
- 13:13that? And then how many trips to the park and they just they never
- 13:16get tired. It's a your n nieces and nephews are the exact same ages
- 13:22my kids. And it's just but when it comes to lying, there's lies
- 13:24that you want we tell our kids, and of course there's lies that we
- 13:26tell each other as adults. And you you got you got a nifty little
- 13:30list there you found, Amanda, I sure do one that I think we
- 13:33can all agree upon. You run into somebody and you'll do that. We
- 13:37should catch up soon, you know what I mean? Like, oh,
- 13:39it was like hi, Hi, I gotta go. You really don't want
- 13:43to have any further conversations, but yeah, we'll catch up soon. Shoot
- 13:46me in tex call me whatever, slide into my DMS. We'll get together
- 13:48for happy hour. I love it. And then when somebody actually does,
- 13:52it's like shocking. When you get a tax like hey man, like we
- 13:54were talking about getting together, like, well, yeah, I know,
- 13:58but do you ever and actually text have somebody really strong arm you and they're
- 14:01like get out their phone and look at their schedule, like let's pencil this
- 14:07in right now, and then you have to remember the next day to tell
- 14:09m hey, sorry, something came up. Not able to do that.
- 14:13I actually oblige and I like hang out with people. Amanda, I don't
- 14:16know about you, Intergracie. Are you a liar in this way? Um?
- 14:20It just depends. I feel like I do this a lot. When
- 14:22I'm like drinking and like I'll run into I'll be like, yoh my gosh,
- 14:26oh we're ready get to drink sometime soon. And the next day,
- 14:28They're like, so, when are we gonna get that drink? I'm like,
- 14:31um, we're not. I don't know who that person was. Another
- 14:37one, when is the last time you guys read and accepted all the terms
- 14:41and conditions. I'm always reading and accepting terms, fine print everything. Yeah,
- 14:46well, you just never know, No, I don't never until they
- 14:50say, hey, you clicked on the terms and conditions. Sorry, Charlie.
- 14:54Yeah, he's so annoying when they make you scroll down all the way.
- 14:56It's all the way. Yeah, you gotta like they know and you
- 15:00know you're not actually reading it, but it's like you gotta do the one
- 15:01thing. This one. I feel as though, um, we've heard a
- 15:05lot lately people just don't want to work anymore. Yeah. I was just
- 15:09talking to somebody about this, and we've all had the same conversation because obviously
- 15:13we were aware of like nobody can find employees, right, It's like,
- 15:16what what happened? And I know it's a nuanced answer that nobody really you
- 15:20know, there's a lot of things, but it's like where the people go,
- 15:22you know, what are they doing? Hello? People? You know,
- 15:26especially with housing and stuff, who's all living in these homes? Where
- 15:30are these people coming? Yeah, keep building the apartments, keep closing fast
- 15:33food restaurants because nobody's working there. How about this one. I'm only five
- 15:39minutes away. It's never five minutes no, oh yeah, or yeah,
- 15:41I just left my house. No, you haven't even You probably haven't even
- 15:45started getting ready your towels on. You're hopping in the shower. Oh in
- 15:50the morning. So you know how actors sometimes take method acting too far where
- 15:58they like really get into a role. Comes to mind is like that guy
- 16:00that played Lincoln and he was just like the Lincoln for two years or something.
- 16:04But Jude Law took it to a whole new level when he was on
- 16:07the set of the new movie. It's what they call historical thriller, what
- 16:15it's called Firebrand, And he's playing the role of Henry the Eighth. You
- 16:18guys know Henry the Eighth. Yeah, well, Henry the Eighth. At
- 16:21the end of his life, he was suffering from swollen ankles and leg ulcers.
- 16:25Gross I had never heard that before. Jefferty nasty stuff. Apparently there
- 16:27was a stench to it as well, So Jude, I can't imagine.
- 16:32I don't think I want to know, though, well, Jude Law wanted
- 16:34the cast members to know because in order to get into the role, he
- 16:37created his own perfume. He got with a perfume maker and he had them
- 16:41create a scent that was blood, sweat, and fecal matter. Oh disgusting.
- 16:52I didn't only imagine. You know, you've smelled all three of those
- 16:55things, right, can you imagine mixing them up? No a bottle,
- 16:57rubbing it all of your body. If I am on that side, I
- 17:00don't care how much I'm getting paid. Okay, it's a little bit of
- 17:03light, but I would bathe in all three of those things if it meant
- 17:07I was getting paid whatever you got for this film millions of dollars. Now,
- 17:10imagine if there's a love interest involved in this, or you have like
- 17:12an intimate scene and you have to be around him. That's disgusting. I
- 17:17heard women love the natural sense of a man, but they do say it's
- 17:19an aphrodisiac. I don't know about the fecal manner, The director said.
- 17:27When Jude walked onto the set, it was just horrible. Well, yeah,
- 17:32how annoying with it? What I remember? Actually, this is kind
- 17:36of brings up a time I used to work with a guy for a lot
- 17:38of years, who would open up when we shared an office tuna and a
- 17:42can, oh yeah, and just go to town on tuna and a can.
- 17:47Pike, who did that? You? Oh yeah, we see that's
- 17:48me eating. I hate You're so like I should be allowed to eat what
- 17:52I want? Right, Sorry, I'm not. I can't afford salmon and
- 17:56every night. No, it doesn't matter, just that stench, you know,
- 17:59when you're in a shared space, Like, come on now, people,
- 18:02it's not so bad when it's you eating it. Well, yeah,
- 18:03it kind of applies to me. Delicious. Then look up this morning this
- 18:08morning, Pike and Amanda in the morning. Point one, that's up old
- 18:15day. So who deleted their Instagram? Now out your well. Kim Kardashian
- 18:22and Kanye West obviously beyond over, and she was talking about her relationship with
- 18:27him yesterday, just saying, how you know what, you can't help people
- 18:30who don't want to be helped. Wise words from Kim Kardashian. But she
- 18:33does go on to say, sometimes I feel like people think that if a
- 18:37marriage or a relationship doesn't work out, it's a failure. But I don't
- 18:41really like to look at it like that fifteen years or fifteen years together,
- 18:44ten years married, that's not a failure, that is sopot. It's a
- 18:47pretty good run, I will say that, but it is thought that one
- 18:49was going to last for her. Yeah, you did longer than the one
- 18:52before that. What was that one against? Seventy two days? So we
- 18:56two hours and Matt Damon regrets not saying yes to a role in Avatar now
- 19:04he offered. He was offered the lead role for the original film. He
- 19:07could have made two hundred and fifty million dollars. He sat down for an
- 19:11interview yesterday and said, it's the dumbest singing actor has ever done in the
- 19:14history of acting. Well, I mean it's gotta be out there, gotta
- 19:18be up there. I don't know I've heard so well, but the main
- 19:21guy, okay who I'm looking at. His name is Sam Worthington. Do
- 19:25you even know that name? No, because I've never seen an Avatar,
- 19:27So for me, I didn't even know there was lines or people. I
- 19:30just thought it was just kind of more of an imagery, just a three
- 19:33hours silent film like imagery. Yeah, just a book that you're just like
- 19:37reading through pictures only kind of like that. For him a book. What
- 19:41are we saying thought it was a book? No, I'm just I was
- 19:44like, that was a comparison, a really poor comparison. Apparently he just
- 19:48gotta watch that movie Cans I'm dying to know way and turned Gracie. Where
- 19:52do you fall on this? Taylor Swift fans are asking her to hashtag speak
- 19:59up now now her boyfriend Matt Healy. In case you miss it, yesterday
- 20:03we were talking about how on stage at our concert for the weekend, they're
- 20:06hot heavy. She said, this is the happiest she's ever been in all
- 20:07aspects of her life. Really rever into this relationship and how I mean,
- 20:12I have not seen her this public and happy in a long time. I
- 20:17was all about it until I found out about Matt Heally and his past.
- 20:19Everybody has a past, but this is very dark. It's very gross.
- 20:22I can't we can't even put kid gloves on and talk about it on the
- 20:26radio. It is that gruesome. In my opinion, it is pretty nasty
- 20:30stuff. Now. I don't know the context in which he said it,
- 20:33was he like joking or what, But even then joking about that, it's
- 20:37still well it is, But I mean I'm not gonna say here and say,
- 20:40if you took a highlight reel of everything I've ever joked about two years
- 20:44ago, I would be put in prison. But also just not publicly.
- 20:47And I mean I think he was sitting down for interviews and saying a lot
- 20:49of these things. It's still out there, so it didn't go away.
- 20:52She has not said a word about it, and that is not who she
- 20:56is. That surprises me. Are you going to just abandon her? No,
- 21:00I'm seeing her in one month from today. Pike. If if Taylor
- 21:03slips walked into the middle of sixth Avenue and shot a man, I mean,
- 21:08what is it? Would you do it? I don't know. I
- 21:11just love her. He had a coming rights trending trending or not trending.
- 21:18Good morning at eight o'clock. Here's what you need to know. President Ed
- 21:22and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy both said that they had a productive meeting on the
- 21:26debt ceiling debate yesterday, but there's still a long way togo before they're reaching
- 21:30a deal. Meanwhile, more Americans say that they're not doing okay with their
- 21:33finances. I'd like to think we're the top priority in these meetings, but
- 21:37I don't feel like we are. Why the issue is I haven't implemented a
- 21:40debt ceiling of my home. I'm no kidding, police responded. Yesterrded to
- 21:44a pond behind the industrial business park south of Maine Avenue where a body was
- 21:48discovered. A police spokesperson did confirm that the investigation is underway after a body
- 21:52of a man was recovered. Police, you say that there's no reason to
- 21:53believe that there's a threat to the public. If you have any details,
- 21:56contact local law enforcement. And I know it's none of our business. I
- 22:00don't know why. I know it's annoying you even this morning, Like,
- 22:03Hey, Pike, Jamie Fox, I think I know what's going on.
- 22:06He's like, can we be done? Like nobody cares. It's bothering me
- 22:11so much that we don't know why he's in this rehab facility. I was
- 22:15starting any think maybe it was substance abuse. I don't need to know,
- 22:18but I want to know. Nobody's ever been more just put out by the
- 22:22than Amanda, who just wants to know Jamie Fox's medical anstry. It's all
- 22:26I did do a little research, and apparently the rehab facility he's in is
- 22:32for people who are recovering from strokes, spinal injuries, or even cancer treatment,
- 22:34all really terrifying things. So I hope he is okay. We do
- 22:38know he's going to be doing a show here soon with his daughter. They
- 22:41tease at so given if he had a stroke, it's like, okay,
- 22:44tell us. I know he's none of our business. I know. Tell
- 22:47us everything else ever happened to you medically. I did. At one point
- 22:49in my life, I had a stroke. Yeah, I remember that.
- 22:52I was there. You were you were the first one in the hospital.
- 22:55Don't tell my husband. This will really get
