- 0:05SPEAKER_00: What is going on, bumblers?
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: It's your boy MJ coming at you with another episode of the Fantasy Fumble.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: I'm here with my co-host Joe the Birdman.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: Joe, tell these beautiful people how you're doing today, man.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: Not bad.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: It was a decent week, but I learned the hard way by grabbing guys off the waiver wire.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Can't trust them, man, even when they're the uh wide receiver one that week, which I did in multiple leagues.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: But hey, slim pickings when your guys are injured or on a bye.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: So you gotta do what you gotta do.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: It doesn't always work out.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, and and most of the time you're you're gonna hit on those options anyways, right?
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Because it's like you either take one of your guys on the bench that has a bad matchup, or you could take a free agent that has a good matchup just for that one week, you know.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: So I I would do the same, man.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: You you live and die by the sword, so you know, at least you're making it an attempt.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but uh before we get into that, we'll go ahead and uh jump into the news and notes.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: Today's uh stream sponsored by old hippie stash.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: So if you need someone, go to your local dispensary, they got you.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Medical patients only.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: All right, so we've got a lot going on as always, and the list is long when you're talking about wide receivers and running backs.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: So we're just gonna give you an update on everyone, real quick.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: Jameer Gibbs dealing with a shoulder injury, probably nothing.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: Brees Hall still working through the quad injury, and his uh fellow running back, Braylon Allen, has a minor knee injury.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: Christian McCaffrey is dealing with a mild hamstring strain.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: It doesn't sound like much.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: Jadarian Price is practicing again, which is good news.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: And as well as Zach Charbonnet, they could both be ready for week, or Price won't be ready, but uh Charbonnet could be ready for week eight.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: And then Vikings running back Aaron Jones is considered day-to-day with a knee injury.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is dealing with a back and a hamstring injury, and then also Damian Pierce is dealing with an undisclosed injury, so his status is uncertain for week eight.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: He's on IR, actually, for Damian Pierce.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, really?
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: Um now Cardinals running back Jeremiah Love hopes to return in week eight, but also Tyler Algier is dealing with a toe injury.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: So, you know, if if if he doesn't go, it could be a big game for love.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Man, give love all those touches.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: I know like people think with Bam there that love will be the third down back.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: I think if love is healthy, man, Bam will be the third down back, and love's gonna get the first and second down.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Uh I would hope so.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so he's gonna get the bulk of the work, man.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: You don't put a fourth overall draft pick into a guy, you're just gonna bench him for someone else, right?
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: Doesn't make sense.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: I think they were just waiting for him to get healthy.
- 3:12SPEAKER_01: I think they were easing him back, you know, with clear intentions.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Uh running back for the Bears, Kyle Manungay is dealing with a toe injury, hopes to return in week eight.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: David Montgomery is uncertain for week eight, still dealing with that groin injury.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: Falcons, huh?
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: He's on a bye.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: He is on a bye.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: You just got to keep status on him.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: And same with the the Giants running backs, you know, that whole backfield is a mess right now.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: They're on a bye, but you got to keep an eye on Scataboo and um Tracy as well.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: Tracy's on IR.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: So hey, so you know what's crazy is they're talking about you know tying the Giants to Jonathan Taylor.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: So imagine if they do a swap, right?
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: They swap Scatabow, because it seems like Scatabow's on the outs, right, with John Harbaugh.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: I think he messes around too much for his style of coaching, right?
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: He's possible.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: So he's gonna if he trades him for JT and like they send a high draft pick for him, that would be, I mean, ideal for JT being on that uh that offense.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because that offense is actually cooking.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: You know, it's just their run game that's struggling.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but yeah, but either way, uh I'm just saying, you know, you got to keep an eye on um Dave Montgomery.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, he hasn't been fantasy relevant since week one, but if he's on your team, obviously you're gonna have to monitor his status while he's on the bye.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: And then same with the Giants backfield.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: You just got to keep an eye on them.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: And then just a couple more guys that aren't really fantasy relevant, but you might have them on your team.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: Brian Robinson is hopeful for week eight.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: He's dealing with a hamstring, and Tajay Spears is dealing with a knee injury.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: Again, these aren't guys you're starting, but they may be flex plays if you're in a pinch.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: So if you do have them on your team, you just got to keep an eye on that.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: Now, going to wide receiver, there's a long list, and a lot of them are studs, so just monitor these guys throughout the week.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: Matthew Golden is dealing with a shoulder and a foot injury.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: Amon Ross St.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: Brown tweaked his ankle in week seven.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: Devonta Smith, he's still working through that hamstring injury.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: And that that actually worries me a lot.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: I traded him today, and I feel fine about it because he is a stud, but there's just too many question marks around that offense and also him as an individual.
- 5:33SPEAKER_01: Now, Commander's wide receiver Stefan Diggs, who's now the wide receiver one, is dealing with a couple things, a hamstring and a hand injury.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: And then George Pickens also dealing with a couple injuries, a hamstring and a shoulder.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: So just keep an eye on those guys.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: AJ Brown dealing with an ankle, but should be fine for week eight.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: Same with Jamar Chase, little ankle injury popped up on the report.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: Dontavian Wicks also dealing with an ankle.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: And Carnell Tate, mispractice.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: He's dealing with a shoulder.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: Rashi Rice, he's dealing with a hamstring, but he is hopeful for week eight.
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: You know, we've heard that the last few weeks with him, DJ Moore, and Lad McConkey.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: Those guys are all hopeful for week eight, but just monitor their progress.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: Jalen Waddell aggravated a chest injury in week seven.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: Emeke Abuka, he's still going through concussion protocol and he's got he tweaked his foot as well.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: I I think he's gonna play, but right now he's questionable.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: Then Rashid Shahid injured his knee in week seven.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: Jalen Knowle.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: A lot of people were real hopeful for him as uh Texans, you know, just got a lot of issues at wide receiver.
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: They were hoping he could step up, but that turf token that can nag you for weeks, as as we've seen with many running backs.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: So keep an eye on him.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: And then he's on IR too.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: They put uh Jalen Knowles on IR too.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: Damn, this must have all happened recently.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, this was today.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: Oh wow.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: Well, there you go.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: That's that's a shame with Jalen Knowle.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was it was very recent, like this afternoon today.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: It wasn't like you know, they had it floating around since this morning.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because I was I put these notes together after work today, so it must have happened late this afternoon.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Man, I did I did see it late.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: That's why I dropped.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: I actually had Damien Pierce picked up as one of my waiver wire ads.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: I was okay, you know, if Saquon's gonna be possible, you know, questionable, he's not gonna play.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: Damien Pierce can't would come in, and I saw that iron news, and I was like, man, just I'm glad you told me because I've got Damien Pierce in one league and I've got Jalen Nolan too.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: So I'm dropping them all now.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: And then uh Cardinals wide receiver, Michael Wilson, just uh he has a minor rib injury.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: He's he's been down the last couple weeks, but obviously he's a good player, so you want to see him recover and get back out there.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: And then Dolphins wide receiver, he's just a flex play, but he's a guy that you can start for 10, 12 points every week.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: Malik Washington is dealing with a knee injury.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: And then uh resurgence from Jacoby Myers, which is what everyone's hoping for, might be limited by his hamstring, which popped up today on the injury report.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: Uh quarterback Lamar Jackson, as we know, is hopeful to return in week eight.
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: That's the only, unless you have some more recent news for me, that's the only thing that I've seen as far as a press a pressing quarterback issue, as far as like a starter.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: I think everyone else is in the clear.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: Obviously, Jaden Daniels' got that nagging elbow injury, but he's been fine for the last couple weeks.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: And then at tight end, we've got Tyler Warren still working through a groin injury.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: Brock Bowers popped up on the report, just a minor calf issue, should be fine.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: Dalton Kincaid is dealing with a chest injury, but I don't know how serious that is.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: I heard today.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: And then also a weird one, Brenton Strange is dealing with a minor eye issue, but he practiced in full today, so he should be fine too.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: Man, the injury apocalypse, man.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: That's the thing, man.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: That list gets so long, I just got to rifle through it like that.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: So if these guys are on your team, you see a little cue, don't just brush that off.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: You actually have to look because how many people have been listed questionable all week?
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: And you plug them in your lineup, and then you find out the day the day before or the day of that they're not playing.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: So you gotta keep an eye on those cues.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: Now let's get into some trade targets.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: Why don't you kick things off for us, Manny?
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: All right, so my trade target, ladies and gentlemen.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: Keep in mind anybody that we told you to target previously, we we hope that you've already made it a mood or made an attempt to get those players.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: So another player to add to that list is somebody that you could possibly get them at the cheapest they're gonna be all season long.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: And that is my right-hand man, Mr.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: Chubba Hubbard.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: Carolina Panthers are running the ball through him heavily.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: Obviously, Jonat Brooks is on IR, should be back in a few weeks.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: He's been out already four weeks.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: So uh, but Chuba's showing everything that you want in a back uh against Tampa.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Uh he only gave you 33 rushing yards, but he caught four passes for 27 yards.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: So I know that sounds pretty abysmal, uh, but that is precisely the reason why you can buy low on him right now, because that's gonna be one of his rare bad games he's had all season.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, the guy's averaging 20 uh you know about 20 points per game in you know PPR.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: So he's he's definitely someone that can produce.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: Um the game before that, he had 28 carries, 120 yards, and a touchdown.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: You know, before the buy, 20 carries, 122 yards, and two touchdowns.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: So that's the part that I'm buying.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: You know, it's what he's already done so far this year.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Um and that means that he's gonna be a very valuable player.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: So make a move and see how it works out.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: I totally agree with that.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: And I'm high on him for a couple different reasons.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: First, what we've seen so far.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: I think it's exceeded everyone's expectations, and that offense as a whole has exceeded everyone's expectations.
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: So when you've got a solid offense that's getting you to the goal line and creating those scoring opportunities, that running back's gonna be valuable.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: I I've been trying to get him in a couple leagues with minimal success.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: So I feel like people are aware that Chuba is a different player than we expected.
- 11:45SPEAKER_01: You've always been a little higher on him than the consensus, but I was kind of in line with the consensus, and my mind has been changed because this year he has been exceptional.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: So I totally think you should go after him, especially with someone that's a more casual player and isn't really aware of just how good he's been.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: I know every year I probably hit on like a sleeper or two, right?
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: And that's the whole point of this, right?
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: Is you're always gonna have guys that you like where they're at, their situation, and you know, the experts may be saying one thing, but always go with your gut.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: You know, that's what I tell people.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: That's the best thing you can do.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: Because if you don't go with your gut, you're always gonna have that regret.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: And and you know, it's easier said than done, right?
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: But uh what about you?
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: What's your trade target?
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: Well, just to touch on that regret real quick, I just wanted to say there have been a lot of times when I look at the projections, and and don't get me wrong, if it's just a couple points, I don't pay any attention to it.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: But there's a lot of the time when you're gonna hear all these experts talking about why this guy is is such a good play, and and maybe someone else on your team is not.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: If in your gut you really truly think, hey, this is a great matchup, they're they're overlooking this guy, go with your gut.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: Because there have been so many times where I'm like, oh man, he's projected at five or six points higher.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: I'll plug him in.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: And then I'm so pissed when the guy on my bench goes off and I listen to the experts.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: So definitely go with your gut.
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: Now, the first guy I want to talk about is Jordan Mason.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: He's had 15 carries in both games he played this season.
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: Aaron Jones is dealing with an ankle injury, and this offense needs to lean on the run with Kyler Murray at quarterback.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: So if Aaron Jones misses time, which happens every season, then Jordan Mason will get nearly every touch in the backfield.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: And the schedule for the rest of the season looks really good for the Vikings, too.
- 13:43SPEAKER_01: So if they're leaning on the run, you can't trust Kyler, and Aaron Jones is injured, that's a perfect recipe for Aaron or for Jordan Mason to go off.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: And and I think the second half of the season, people are maybe they're not gonna be surprised, but I feel like he's going to really step up.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I like Jordan Mason.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: And I mean, I've been one of those guys.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: I think I I did one of the trade targets was sell on Aaron Jones, right?
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: Yes a couple of weeks ago, you know, because I said it's only inevitable he's gonna get hurt.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: And I mean, the workload he's had was like, you know, Renaissance, uh, Green Bay, Aaron Jones, right?
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: So you got the warm and fuzzies, but that unfortunately that's all coming to an end, man.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, he's exceeded expectations too, because we thought he was gonna be fading last year, and you know, he looked great, and we thought he was gonna be fading this year, and he's been great.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: But it was funny because I actually went back and looked at our previous trade targets because I was like, wait a second, did Manny already do um Jordan Mason?
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: But no, you did Aaron Jones, but we just we just uh weaved weaved the conversation in with Jordan Mason.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: It's the same conversation, you know.
- 14:55SPEAKER_01: Jordan Mason, especially if Aaron Jones misses time, is gonna be really good the back half of the season.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: He's gonna get the same exact workload that Aaron Jones got, man.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: And no one to to even take snaps off of him.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: So he's he's gonna be a must start.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: So Jordan Mason is gonna be someone I I would recommend for sure as well.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: So that's pretty good.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: So thank you for expressing my idea, Joe.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: Just I I was um reaffirming your idea.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: I'm just kidding.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: Reinforcing, I mean, I was reinforcing your idea.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Oh man, I love this shit, Joe.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: Football is just like my life, man.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: I know it's it's sad how much time I spend on this, but at the same time, I enjoy it, so it's not hurting anybody.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's a hobby, man.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: I got another trade target that I want to talk about.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: Now, this one's a little bit more aggressive, someone to acquire.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: And I put my money where my mouth is, so I'm gonna tell you why.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: I say you should target Rasheed Rice at the moment here.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: Uh, this one specifically for the manager that's worried about injuries, right?
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: You know, Rice suffered a hamstring injury back uh and hasn't played since I think it was like week four.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: So he hasn't played uh since then.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: However, before that he had 190 yards on 13 receptions, I think in like the first three full games.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: So he didn't have a big play uh, you know, session.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: Plus they were running the ball anyway through Kenneth Walker, right?
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: So that you know that I think has convinced people this year that Rasheed Rice is on the fall off year, right?
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: And then Kansas City's canceling or or or or just having a full meltdown.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: I think the the reason why he is gonna blow up is uh Kansas City Kansas City just scored three points against Seattle, and and right now Taekwond is out indefinitely.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Um you know what what's the other uh wide receiver that just completely shit the bed?
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: Uh Xavier Worthy, right there.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: So it's like I didn't know you were talking about him.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: He's been just uh he's had two good games, but the others have been dog shit, yeah.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: So so like he's in there as well.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: So basically, the big thing is Mahomes needs his weapons back, and once Rasheed Rice, you know, Mahomes can be peppering him with targets.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm talking about like Rasheed Rice is probably gonna be like a top five wide receiver second half of the season.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Uh so he's built around that kind of volume and the uses that you want.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: Um, and then basically if Rice gets healthy down the stretch, that's a starting receiver attached to Patrick Mahomes.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: So that could potentially be a a league winning move for you, should you get him here at a good price.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I think that's going to increase Patrick Mahomes' value too, because you know, he has not been good this year because he hasn't really had I mean anything aside from a solid run game.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: But with Taekwondo Thornton, he did.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: But um Xavier Worthy's not that guy.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: You know, I I dropped him in two leagues this week.
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: I'm just tired of having him on my team.
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: I leave him on my bench, he puts up 15, I plug him in, he gives me four or five.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: I'm just tired of it.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: I dropped him, I feel fine.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: I really think you know I was high on Rasheed Rice coming into this season.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you were.
- 18:30SPEAKER_01: I really, yeah, and I really think if he's healthy, he's gonna finish really strong.
- 18:35SPEAKER_01: And a good run game and a good pass game, obviously they complement each other, create more opportunities for each other, keeps the defense guessing.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: So the entire offense will benefit in a huge way if Rashi Rice can come back healthy and make a statement.
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: For my uh second target, or actually, this is a trade away.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: I have Devonta Smith.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: It's a grenade, throw that bitch.
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: They look at his the games he's played, and those numbers are good, but the entire team is in disarray on both offense and defense.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: This here's the thing, though.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: He's missed two games and has been dealing with this hamstring injury all season.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: So I don't trust the offense as a whole, and I don't trust Devonta to stay healthy for the rest of the season.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: If this has been nagging him for this entire time and he's playing through it, that's great.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: But how long is that gonna last?
- 19:29SPEAKER_01: I think you got to trade him before it's too late.
- 19:31SPEAKER_01: And right now, you can get someone good.
- 19:34SPEAKER_01: I traded him today.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: I I did a three for one.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: I kind of felt like I was taking advantage of last place, but you know what?
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: I didn't want Devonta on my team.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: And I feel fine with with trading him away if you're gonna get a good wide receiver or a or a two for one back.
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: I feel like it's it's gonna be worth your while because who knows what he's gonna look like in a couple more weeks.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm not a I've been down on Eagles all season long, not even just because of what I saw, just because of that schedule being so brutal, man.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: So now, you know, if you could get something solid back from him, by all means, do so.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: But I'm pretty sure it's no longer a secret, right?
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: Devontae Smith is on a sinking ship, man, and that's that's Philly season, you know.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: Get ready for the tank.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: Hey, but but with Tanner McKee the first game, he was peppered with targets.
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: So if someone says, hey, you know, it's Jalen Hurts isn't throwing the ball, say, hey, look at the look at the game he played with Tanner McKee.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: That was great.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: Let's get into our hot matchups.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: I'll kick things off with the Cardinals versus the Cowboys.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: This game has an over-under of 54 and a half points.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: Now, Jacoby Brissett hasn't looked great the last couple weeks, but this is a really good matchup, as we know.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: The Dallas defense is dead last by almost every metric.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: So, Michael Wilson, as we discussed, he hasn't been great the last few weeks, but he's still getting plenty of targets, and you got to plug him in for this one.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: I know he's dealing with a minor rib injury.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: If he's healthy, you got to plug him in.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: I'm not starting any other wide receivers.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: If Michael Wilson doesn't play, I could actually see Kendrick Bourne being a sneaky flex play.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: Um, he's getting targets too.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: It's just that they're not working into any fantasy points.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: Jeremiah Love, if he's playing, I would roll the dice on him.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: Uh, we know he has the talent, and if he's healthy, he should have a nice game against this porous Dallas defense.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: And I would only start Bam Knight if Love is out because Algiers dealing with an injury.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: Like, like I said, the only reason I would put Bam Knight into my lineup is if Love misses.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: And of course, Trey McBride is a must start.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: So basically, start to start.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: For Arizona because the Dallas defense is horrible, and there should be plenty of opportunities.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: Now, the chances are this will be a high scoring game, and the Cardinals will be playing from behind.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: So hopefully that doesn't impact Jeremiah Love, but I think it's going to be beneficial for the entire offense.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: Now, on the other side of the ball, you got Dak Prescott.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: He's been a solid fantasy starter all year, and this will be another nice game with all of his offensive weapons on the field.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: The Cardinals D isn't quite as bad as the Cowboys, but they're close.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: They're really bad.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: Javante Williams, C.D.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: Lamb, George Pickens, start them all.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: No questions asked.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: And I would start Flannoy if you're in need of a bye week fill-in or got someone that's injured.
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: And I mean, he's been good the last three weeks.
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: So I think he's going to, I think he's kind of, you know, worked it worked out a role in that offense that you can somewhat rely on for 10 to 12 points.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: And I'd be fine with them against the Cardinals for sure.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: And it's the same thing for Dallas every week.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: And this isn't going to be any different.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: It's a soft matchup for this offense to thrive.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: So I I really like the offense for both of these teams this week.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they have a high spread uh total as well.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: I think they have one of the highest ones this week.
- 23:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they were tied for the highest.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so it it's it's definitely, you know, Vegas is expecting some fireworks, you know, two shitty defenses going at it.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: Uh Arizona's defense is not that bad.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't say it's as bad as Dallas's, but Dallas' offense is so much better than that defense that they're just gonna do everything at will.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: You know, yeah, the Cardinals have been up and down, but like generally speaking, it's it's nothing to worry about.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: Now, uh for my hot matchup, you know, this is uh a game that also has been looked at as one of the highest ones as well.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: So it's gonna be the uh Baltimore Ravens versus Buffalo Bills.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: Coming in over here, Buffalo's averaging uh the most points per game at 32.8.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: Uh they have 388 yards per game average as well.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: And uh, you know, the funny thing is Baltimore isn't exactly struggling offensively either.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: They they are uh at 366 yards a game.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: Keep in mind that's with Lamar Jackson being out two weeks, and then with this week, it's gonna be the third week, right?
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: If he was out again.
- 24:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm I'm I did not know they were doing that well without Lamar.
- 24:41SPEAKER_01: And I didn't realize the Bills, their offense was doing that well either.
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: That yardage is crazy.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and that's with DJ Moore out pretty much the last four weeks, right?
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Pretty much, yeah.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: So they've been doing it with Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, right?
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: James Cook, Dalton Kincaid, right?
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: And Josh Allen, of course, is you know, Josh Allen, right?
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: So, so you know, at the end of the day, you're gonna be taking those guys that I mentioned, right?
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: You're gonna start Josh Allen with with a smile on your face, you know, James Cook as well.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: Uh Kincaid is a little shaky.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: Uh, I mean, I would weigh out matchups if you're looking at tight end starts.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: Um, but wide receivers, I mean, Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, those are flexible.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: And I, you know, honestly, I don't know who would be better, right?
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Those are not guys that I start with confidence.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: However, Josh Allen and James Cook are some that I do.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: Um, and then going on the other side, Baltimore, King Henry, right?
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: He's already been averaging five, he's already uh acquired 579 rushing yards for the season.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: So he's about to hit a thousand yards rushing and by the 10th game this season.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: Uh, and Zay Flowers has put up 608 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: So, like when it when it comes to like Ravens, same thing as Buffalo, you're gonna have specific key players that are gonna probably get multiple scores, right?
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: Because those are guys that you're gonna see week in, week out that consistently score the ball.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: You know, those are playmakers.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: So uh that's what I really like.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: Both teams haven't been creating much interceptions.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: I think they're both uh averaging, they are only have three picks this season so far.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: So it's not like they're they're really putting a lot of pressure, and then Buffalo is one of the worst in the league with 11 sacks total for the season.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: Now, here's the only the even despite Lamar, this is typically me with Lamar starting, right?
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: I think there's a possibility he almost played last week, so I think it's a possibility he plays.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: So that does have a little bit of a factor into my hot matchup.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: Is you know, Vegas anticipates him coming back, but if he does end up being out, I would only downgrade Baltimore scoring slightly and then give an even bigger notch to Buffalo, right?
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: Because the more time that Buffalo holds the ball is the more time that they're gonna score because Buffalo just doesn't care, they're gonna jam it down your throat, right?
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: You know, if they need to make a statement, especially to uh uh a divisional or not divisional, but a conference foe.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: Especially just an overall powerhouse like the Ravens.
- 27:25SPEAKER_01: I'm sure they'd like to make a statement.
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: And that was the other game that was 54 and a half points that was uh tied.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: And and the thing is I I do think Lamar's gonna play, but I mean, even without him, Zay has been pretty solid.
- 27:42SPEAKER_01: I mean, he's been rock solid.
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: I'm just I'm actually hoping for Derrick Henry's sake that Lamar plays just because it's kind of weird because you think they'd lean on the run more.
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: Um, but Derrick Henry's had a couple down weeks, not terrible, but just not what you want from from Henry.
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: So you'd expect him to lean on the run more, they just didn't.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: Uh, but I think with Lamar back, it'll be a better game for him, too.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: He does help help out that ability for sure.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: Because when Lamar's there, they don't know what you're gonna do.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: They don't you don't know what he wants to do.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: RPO, right?
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: He's gonna either pass it, hand it off, or he's gonna take it himself, right?
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: So he forces the defense to play that with Tyler Huntley, you know, Snoop Huntley, you just gotta, you know, he has a good arm, but he's gonna roll out and try to get that throw versus being a pocket passer or something like that, you know.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: So that's the difference between the two, and that's why I think Baltimore gets that slight advantage for me offensively for a point score.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: But again, if it's Josh Allen, like who's gonna stop him?
- 28:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Lamar's just getting you more scoring opportunities by getting the fall the ball up the field.
- 28:53SPEAKER_01: So, you know, it as we've said so many times, uh a good offense just creates more opportunities for everyone.
- 28:59SPEAKER_01: I'd prefer that way over an offense like the Jets that's just gonna pepper one receiver and you know not be able to score touchdowns.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: Now let's get into our cold calls.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: For my cold call, I have the Eagles versus the Commanders.
- 29:29SPEAKER_01: The over-under is 40 points, and both of these teams are so banged up on offense, it's hard to trust anyone.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: The commanders' defense is terrible, but the entire Eagles offense is injured.
- 29:41SPEAKER_01: And Hertz is out for the season.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: Saquon Barkley and Devonta Smith have been struggling with injuries over the last few weeks, and they still aren't healthy.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: Even if they play, they're not going to be 100% by any stretch.
- 29:52SPEAKER_01: The rest of the running back room is dealing with injuries too.
- 29:55SPEAKER_01: I, as you mentioned earlier, Damion Pierce, I didn't even realize he was on IR.
- 30:00SPEAKER_01: I thought he was just banged up.
- 30:01SPEAKER_01: Since he went down at the end of the last game, I was waiting to hear.
- 30:04SPEAKER_01: So that status just brings more oomph behind what I'm saying here.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: Dallas Goddard, he's a fine play at tight end, but the ceiling isn't high for Barkley, and I'm concerned about Devonta Smith.
- 30:16SPEAKER_01: I know he had a nice game with Tanner McKee, as I mentioned earlier, but it's still a downgrade from Jalen Hurts.
- 30:22SPEAKER_01: And I don't know what's up with his hamstring because he's been dealing with it all year.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: So there's no one I trust on the Eagles offense.
- 30:28SPEAKER_01: Would I play Barkley?
- 30:30SPEAKER_01: Would I play Smith?
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: Of course.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: But that ceiling's way lower.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: We have to wait and see how practice goes for the Eagles this week to see like who's going into the game with a questionable tag and who's actually healthy.
- 30:43SPEAKER_01: I plugged in Mikhail Lemon last week and got lucky.
- 30:46SPEAKER_01: So he could be a spot start uh until Devontae's healthy, if and when he's healthy.
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: Um and uh other than other than Barkley and Devontae Smith, there's no one I'm I'm playing and oh Goddard, I'm sorry.
- 31:00SPEAKER_01: Goddard, Devontae Smith, and Barkley.
- 31:02SPEAKER_01: Those are the three I'm playing.
- 31:04SPEAKER_01: Um, but no one with confidence aside from Goddard.
- 31:07SPEAKER_01: I think Goddard's just gonna give you what you'd expect, you know, 10 to 15 points.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: But Devonta Smith, he's his entire career, he's been kind of up and down.
- 31:16SPEAKER_01: You don't know when to trust him.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: And with a backup quarterback and a hamstring injury, it just every single week I play him.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: It makes me nervous.
- 31:24SPEAKER_01: And with Barkley, you're crossing your fingers you get a touchdown.
- 31:28SPEAKER_01: Because I mean, he hasn't been doing much of anything lately.
- 31:32SPEAKER_01: And although the Eagles' defense has fallen off, I'm still not confident in the commander's offense right now either.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: Jaden Daniels will be fine.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: He's looking good even with his elbow.
- 31:42SPEAKER_01: And I would start him, of course.
- 31:44SPEAKER_01: But he lost Terry McLaurin, and we have to see how things pan out for the West for the rest of the wide receivers.
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: Stephon Diggs should get a few more targets, but he's injured right now, too.
- 31:54SPEAKER_01: I feel like he's gonna play, and I think he's a strong start if he's healthy.
- 31:59SPEAKER_01: Um, but the the commanders actually said his role isn't gonna change very much.
- 32:04SPEAKER_01: So that makes me wonder, you know, is Antonio Williams really gonna be the guy over there that to fill in on the the extra targets that are gonna be available with Terry McLaurin sidelined?
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: I don't know because here's the thing like people have been talking about him for weeks, and I haven't seen anything.
- 32:22SPEAKER_01: We've had games with Diggs out, we've had games with Terry McLaurin out, and I I just haven't seen it from Antonio Williams.
- 32:28SPEAKER_01: So I feel like people are a little too high on him right now, and I want to see it before I plug him in.
- 32:33SPEAKER_01: And, you know, like I said, a lot of people are saying he's gonna step up, but he hasn't in the past games when McLaurin and Diggs were out.
- 32:41SPEAKER_01: So I just have to see it first.
- 32:44SPEAKER_01: And Rashad White will be getting more carries for the next few weeks with JCM sidelined.
- 32:50SPEAKER_01: He's the player that's probably gonna benefit most from this game, if I had to guess, because this is what I'm this is what I'm thinking is gonna happen is the commanders will take a lead and then just lean on the run, giving Rashad a high floor, but the rest of the team has a low ceiling.
- 33:04SPEAKER_01: And there are more bright spots on the commanders than the Eagles, but I just have a feeling this is gonna be a low-scoring game.
- 33:10SPEAKER_01: I'm starting the starters, but with lower expectations aside from Rashad White.
- 33:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: Divisional games tend to be uh much more competitive on defense, too.
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: So it's gonna be uh definitely not a game that I'm looking forward to watching.
- 33:29SPEAKER_00: Probably may skip.
- 33:32SPEAKER_01: I understand.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: It's it's also it's also more painful for you on a personal level.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, man.
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: So be careful throwing that shade over there because you know it looks like we're talking about divisionals rivalries here, and and you ever heard of the greatest show on turf?
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: No, get get ready for the slowest show on turf, right?
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be the Cleveland Browns uh playing the Pittsburgh Squeelers and in a divisional battle of who is the bigger dumpster fire.
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: All right, right now, this this game, so Cleveland's averaging 19 points per game, which is 28th in the NFL.
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: Uh and Pittsburgh is averaging 21 points per game uh and 324 yards per game.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: So they're actually only averaging 25 more yards per game than Steelers.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: Now, here's where it really gets ugly.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Uh Cleveland's defense already has 20 sacks for the year.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: That's six in the NFL.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: Uh Pittsburgh has 18 sacks, uh, which ranks fourth.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: Uh, excuse me, 18 sacks and seven interceptions, which seven interceptions for Pittsburgh is fourth best in NFL.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: So, what does that tell me?
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: Uh, we're combining two bottom tier offenses and two top-tier defenses capable of wrecking a game plan, and they're gonna go absolutely at it, right?
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be slow, it's gonna be ugly, it's gonna be a slug fest to the very end, and Pittsburgh is gonna probably win that matchup, right?
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: Uh, who knows?
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: Cleveland pulled one out of their arse here the last time around.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: I think it was two weeks ago they did a comeback win.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: Uh, but outside of your obvious starters, so the only guys I'm gonna start with any confidence on the Cleveland Brown side would be Judkins as my flex.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: Uh also KC conception.
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: The the young man had a good game last week.
- 35:32SPEAKER_00: Uh I see his heart.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: I see why they went out and got put a first round pick on him.
- 35:37SPEAKER_00: So I I see him actually having a decent flex performance, maybe like 12 to 15 points.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: Nothing to write home about, but again, Pittsburgh defense is really good.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: Uh, and then on the Pittsburgh side, I mean, I'm I'm basically just gonna start Jalen Warren, like without any any qualms whatsoever, because Jalen Warren's been on an absolute tear this year.
- 35:59SPEAKER_00: He I think he just got 20-something carries last week.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: Um, so that guy's been on fire.
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: And then outside of that, DK Metcalf, he's uh he's a little bit of a red flag, right?
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: You're gonna start him and you're gonna debate with him over maybe another flex guy.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: But if it's between KC Conception and DK Metcalf, I know I'm gonna sound crazy here, but I feel like KC Conception has has the better overall ceiling.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: You know, that's just me.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: But uh as far as sound crazy to me.
- 36:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then Pittsburgh, man, outside of that, you're not gonna know who the ball's going to, right?
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: Like it's just gonna be, I mean, Jeremy Bernard has been a you know great rookie sensation, you know, but I'm still waiting on him to come back to Earth, right?
- 36:44SPEAKER_00: It just it doesn't seem like Aaron Rodgers is playing like his usual self.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: I think he's playing it elevated above what he normally plays by.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Rodgers is definitely playing at uh he's exceeding expectations this year.
- 36:58SPEAKER_01: But you know, Jeremy Bernard, he actually he came back down to earth last week.
- 37:03SPEAKER_01: He had he had a really solid week before that.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: But um, yeah, the offense as a whole makes you makes you wonder what to do each week with DK, especially, man.
- 37:13SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, and as a Pittsburgh fan, it drives me crazy.
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, like it just I mean, he gets peppered with targets, but they're they're pretty bad.
- 37:24SPEAKER_01: You know, they're they're mostly not catchable.
- 37:27SPEAKER_01: And then I like Jeremy Bernard.
- 37:29SPEAKER_01: I I'm here's the thing.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: I have Denzel Boston and Jeremy Bernard on my bench um in one league.
- 37:36SPEAKER_01: I have them both on one team.
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: And I they're both on my bench because I'm just not sure about what they're gonna do.
- 37:42SPEAKER_01: You know, it's this is a tough game.
- 37:44SPEAKER_01: Historically, this is a tough game.
- 37:46SPEAKER_01: It always turns into a grind.
- 37:48SPEAKER_01: Sometimes you get uh touchdown here and there, but uh most of the time it's it's a game filled with field goals and a and a lot of defense.
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'm thinking the Browns are a great defense to play this week.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: Obviously, the Steelers are a great defense to play this week, but the offense, yeah, you're holding your breath the whole game and just hoping for some chunk plays or or maybe a goal line touchdown.
- 38:10SPEAKER_01: I actually started uh Rico Daldo in a bunch of leagues last week because I was in a pinch and he did pretty well.
- 38:16SPEAKER_01: So I think like Rico, you could flex, Denzel Boston, you could flex, Jeremy Bernard, you could flex.
- 38:22SPEAKER_01: Um, but that ceiling's probably gonna be lower than what most people think, just because this is a conference battle, it's a divisional matchup, it's gonna be a grind.
- 38:31SPEAKER_01: These guys are out for blood, they're gonna try to tear each other's head off.
- 38:35SPEAKER_01: It's going to be a, in my, in my opinion, it's going to be a good game.
- 38:38SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm going to be tuning in, but it's going to be a good defensive battle.
- 38:42SPEAKER_01: I don't see a lot of offense.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: Nah, man, I even feel like you know, some of those guys you named, like Rico Dowdo had a good week because Jalen Warren had a phenomenal week.
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: You know, when they're struggling to move the ball and they're going against the Cleveland defense, they're not going to be running all willy-nilly like they did last week.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: They're going to have to actually like hit the holes.
- 39:04SPEAKER_00: And unfortunately, uh, I think that's going to affect them in a way where they they I don't know, they do more of a committee approach, right?
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: So maybe that benefits Rico more, but I I'm not starting either one of them, well, besides Warren without any issues.
- 39:21SPEAKER_01: Well, that's what I'm saying is like they're going to be uh a low-end flex play where you're just hoping for the best.
- 39:27SPEAKER_01: Rico actually got he had five catches last week, which I wasn't expecting.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: So, you know, Rodgers does not hold the ball for very long.
- 39:35SPEAKER_01: So I assume he's going to be dumping the ball off a lot to Jalen Warren and Rico Dado.
- 39:40SPEAKER_01: And if that's the case, they're at least going to give you a solid floor.
- 39:43SPEAKER_01: You know, even with a strong defense, you know, they could get some trash PPR points, which I'm cool with.
- 39:50SPEAKER_01: But as a Steelers fan, I hate to see it.
- 39:53SPEAKER_01: So I I just don't I don't know about Jeremy Bernard.
- 39:57SPEAKER_01: You're probably, if you got him, you're probably gonna play him.
- 39:59SPEAKER_01: The the team where I have Jeremy Bernard and Denzel Boston on my bench, I have a deep bench.
- 40:06SPEAKER_01: I have a really good team, but there might be a situation where you got to start him.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: That was the other thing.
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: Boston's been super hit or miss, man.
- 40:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, even been the best receiver.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: That's why I said Casey's the only dude I would look at.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: Like if you're looking at Boston between Boston and freaking Keenan Allen and freaking, you know, some somebody along that tier, you know, Denzel Boston is a dude that you're just not flexing at all, you know.
- 40:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I mean I would prefer Jeremy Bernard over Boston.
- 40:37SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, like, yeah, they're in that they're in that same kind of tier where it's it's hit or miss, and the last two weeks for Denzel Boston have been a miss.
- 40:46SPEAKER_01: And the same thing with Harold Fannon, man, like you don't know when he's gonna show up.
- 40:51SPEAKER_01: So I wouldn't play him.
- 40:52SPEAKER_01: You know, if you got him on your team, he he might be your best option, but I wouldn't start him with confidence at all, especially especially against the Steelers.
- 41:05SPEAKER_00: Smells like shit in here.
- 41:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, it sure does.
- 41:11SPEAKER_01: Let's get into our shit calls.
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: Why don't you kick things off for us, man, and kick that shit down the street a little bit for us?
- 41:25SPEAKER_00: It wasn't me throwing the passes to my wide receiver last week.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: That's sort of what we did.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: That's why we lost.
- 41:32SPEAKER_00: It wasn't me being able to feed Puka.
- 41:35SPEAKER_00: I was trying to feed him, but he wasn't getting everything he should have, right?
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: So I don't blame me.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: I blame Matt Stafford, right?
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: I also blame who else shit to bed.
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, Chubba Hubba.
- 41:49SPEAKER_00: And then my boy Tet McMillan, right?
- 41:52SPEAKER_00: So really, my shit calls nothing more than me just having a shitty week with the guys that I thought were supposed to have my back.
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: So I don't know how you edit that, Joe.
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: I've been trying to figure it out.
- 42:07SPEAKER_00: I've been right about most of the shit.
- 42:09SPEAKER_01: So well, I mean, that's just fantasy football.
- 42:13SPEAKER_01: You just never know.
- 42:14SPEAKER_01: I mean, even these good matchups sometimes turn out to be shit.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: Bro, Tampa Bay just completely trap game me, man.
- 42:23SPEAKER_01: Well, my shit call is also kind of hazy and uh vague, but I got a little too cute with the waiver wire and started a bunch of scrubs that were supposed to be the wide receiver one on their team.
- 42:37SPEAKER_01: And I just feel like I should have made a stronger effort to make a trade.
- 42:42SPEAKER_01: Because I was even telling you last week that I need to make some trades because I had guys injured and guys on a bye, and I knew that was coming up.
- 42:50SPEAKER_01: So I should have been more aggressive with making trades rather than leaning on the waiver wire.
- 42:56SPEAKER_01: I got a zero from Christian Kirk, I got a zero from Ted Hurst, and then I also played um Kannada Mumfield.
- 43:08SPEAKER_01: So with between three players, I got like three points, and two of them gave me zero.
- 43:13SPEAKER_01: So rather than focusing on making a trade so I could plug in some good players, I relied on the waiver wire.
- 43:20SPEAKER_01: Now, as we said, there could be some gems in there, but it was nothing but dirt for me last week, and I paid the price.
- 43:27SPEAKER_01: I lost big.
- 43:28SPEAKER_01: So if you can see this and you know that you're gonna be plugging in three guys off the waiver wire, try to make a trade instead.
- 43:38SPEAKER_00: That is good advice, show.
- 43:40SPEAKER_00: Very good advice.
- 43:43SPEAKER_00: Now it's that time we all hate, ladies and gentlemen, the end of the show.
- 43:48SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, we want to thank you all the time you guys spend with us.
- 43:52SPEAKER_00: You know, this has been a long journey, you know.
- 43:56SPEAKER_00: Uh hopefully start building up some more sponsors soon.
- 43:59SPEAKER_00: But you guys let us know what you think about it.
- 44:01SPEAKER_00: You know, if we give you good advice, uh give me give you good advice, bad advice, you know, let us know about it.
- 44:09SPEAKER_00: Hit us up in the comments.
- 44:10SPEAKER_00: We'd love to hear back from y'all.
