- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hello everyone, welcome to the almost Est podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Today we are doing headlines with Jared Bye.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Jared loves talking about Bachelor.
- 0:15Speaker 3: But since last week was our anniversary, our seventh anniversary,
- 0:21Speaker 3: we thought that we'd do it a little bit with
- 0:23Speaker 3: Jared and we talk about what we did and all
- 0:25Speaker 3: of that.
- 0:25Speaker 2: But the funny thing.
- 0:26Speaker 3: That we argue about now every time our anniversary comes
- 0:29Speaker 3: around is does it feel like this amount of time
- 0:32Speaker 3: or does it feel like less? I always feel like
- 0:37Speaker 3: it feels like years less at seven years. To me,
- 0:40Speaker 3: it feels like four years, and Jared's always like, no,
- 0:44Speaker 3: it feels about seven years.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Now.
- 0:47Speaker 4: I have no opinion.
- 0:48Speaker 5: I wish I did, because like the difference between seven
- 0:51Speaker 5: and four matters nothing to me. But do you know
- 0:53Speaker 5: like it feels like four instead of seven? And I'm like,
- 0:55Speaker 5: I don't care.
- 1:00Speaker 3: You and Ben are the two people in my life,
- 1:02Speaker 3: in my life that you guys exaggerate time so much
- 1:06Speaker 3: that like, I feel like your timetable isn't even right,
- 1:09Speaker 3: Like you and Ben will be like that was like
- 1:11Speaker 3: two years ago, and then I go, Jared, that was
- 1:13Speaker 3: this past November like, you just said, we haven't driven
- 1:16Speaker 3: to my parents for two years, and I was like,
- 1:18Speaker 3: we drove this past Thanksgiving.
- 1:21Speaker 4: I have my brain is mush. What do you want
- 1:24Speaker 4: from me?
- 1:24Speaker 3: So you just have a you have whacked out timeline. Yeah,
- 1:27Speaker 3: so what did we do to celebrate?
- 1:29Speaker 2: Jared?
- 1:29Speaker 5: We went to dinner in Newport was very nice. Went
- 1:31Speaker 5: to dinner at a restaurant called the Vanderbilt. It's a
- 1:33Speaker 5: Vanderbilt hotel. The restaurant there's very nice. Went to their
- 1:36Speaker 5: rooftop beforehand and afterwards because it was so beautiful, beautiful
- 1:39Speaker 5: views of Newport. We met a couple other couples on
- 1:42Speaker 5: the top, which was wonderful, and I had a couple
- 1:45Speaker 5: of drinks, a night out without the kids. It was
- 1:47Speaker 5: very nice, very low key, exactly what I wanted and
- 1:51Speaker 5: I'm assuming you wanted as well.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I just love going to Newport as much as possible
- 1:55Speaker 3: during the summer. This night, it was a recreation of
- 2:00Speaker 3: the weather seven years later.
- 2:01Speaker 2: That we had.
- 2:02Speaker 3: It was cotton candies, guys like about eighty degrees, no humidity.
- 2:08Speaker 3: It was just gorgeous And I had a great time
- 2:11Speaker 3: with you on Tuesday night.
- 2:13Speaker 4: It was very nice, and.
- 2:15Speaker 2: That Jared, like really wants to be here.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Clearly, Jared, it's not a bad thing. It's just like,
- 2:20Speaker 5: I have no opinions about it. It was a very
- 2:22Speaker 5: nice night.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Have no opinions. This is this sounds great. I know.
- 2:27Speaker 4: This is why I'm not. I don't host a podcast anymore.
- 2:30Speaker 2: What do you mean you were so good at hosting
- 2:32Speaker 2: your podcast.
- 2:33Speaker 5: I can't talk about dating. I mean, I love talking
- 2:36Speaker 5: to Dean. That's why I did it for so long.
- 2:37Speaker 2: I loved talking to Dean, hate talking to my wife.
- 2:40Speaker 5: No, no, no, I love talking to you as well. But
- 2:42Speaker 5: it's you know, I talked to you every single day
- 2:43Speaker 5: of my life. Not enough, not enough, not enough. We
- 2:47Speaker 5: could always talk more. I would agree with that, but
- 2:50Speaker 5: you know, both of us working full time, two kids
- 2:53Speaker 5: comes up with a lot. The anniversaries wonderful, is very sweet.
- 2:56Speaker 5: We had a very nice night, and yeah, the weather
- 3:02Speaker 5: was nice. I mean, actually we're on a podcast.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Okay, Jared, Well, I mean I was just trying to,
- 3:07Speaker 3: you know, paint a picture. Heather watched Heather producer Heather
- 3:11Speaker 3: she watched our proposal for the first time in a
- 3:14Speaker 3: long time, if not like the first time last night.
- 3:17Speaker 3: She couldn't quite figure out whether she watched that season
- 3:19Speaker 3: or not, and she asked the question in our rundown,
- 3:24Speaker 3: when was the last time you watched back your proposal?
- 3:27Speaker 2: I don't think we ever have.
- 3:29Speaker 3: We watch our wedding video like pretty much every anniversary.
- 3:34Speaker 5: Yeah, the wedding video is far more meaningful. Yeah, we
- 3:36Speaker 5: proposal like it keeps comming back to Kevin. Yeah, why
- 3:40Speaker 5: would we want to watch that? We don't watch that.
- 3:42Speaker 3: It's very odd, to the point to which, like Jared
- 3:45Speaker 3: and I debated whether or not that was a good choice.
- 3:49Speaker 4: No, it was definitely a good choice hindsight.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Well, when we first watched it, when we got our screener,
- 3:54Speaker 3: we were best.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Yeah. But also it was the right choice because the
- 3:59Speaker 4: moment itself was no, I.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Know, the actual moment, the edit we didn't like. Yeah,
- 4:03Speaker 3: in person that day was wonderful, but the edit of
- 4:07Speaker 3: it on the show was super annoying.
- 4:09Speaker 4: It was fine.
- 4:11Speaker 5: I think we overreacted, and I also think that they
- 4:14Speaker 5: could have made it more about the moment rather than
- 4:16Speaker 5: making it more of a storyline within that season.
- 4:18Speaker 4: But you know, reality TV.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Yeahs, you know, and all things considered harmless, very harmless.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Do you still have the appatity war from that day
- 4:31Speaker 3: to Yes, I do, I is it in.
- 4:35Speaker 4: That the day of the proposal?
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I have the dress.
- 4:39Speaker 3: It's either in my sentimental box in the basement where
- 4:42Speaker 3: I have like some sentimental clothing. It's probably where it is,
- 4:44Speaker 3: because I don't think it's in that closet behind me.
- 4:47Speaker 4: You Well, I don't know.
- 4:48Speaker 5: If I'm sure, i'd have to go back and look.
- 4:50Speaker 5: I don't remember exactly what I wore. I think it
- 4:51Speaker 5: was just like a white linen fun down.
- 4:54Speaker 4: I might still have it. I might not still have it.
- 4:55Speaker 4: I can't remember.
- 4:56Speaker 3: What is a funny story is that our rehearsal dinner,
- 4:59Speaker 3: Jared wore the Sure I like this shirt.
- 5:01Speaker 2: It was like this blue little flowered shirt.
- 5:04Speaker 3: And our nanny may or may not have when I
- 5:07Speaker 3: was doing a yard sale recently, taking the wrong box
- 5:12Speaker 3: and put it out there, and Jared is like going
- 5:15Speaker 3: through all the yard sale items, like while they're laid out, and.
- 5:18Speaker 2: He's like, why is this out here? And why is
- 5:23Speaker 2: that out here?
- 5:24Speaker 5: So many cool things and then one of them was
- 5:26Speaker 5: my the shirt that I wore for our rehearsal dinner.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Like Ashley, you always save everything.
- 5:32Speaker 5: You make fun of me because you think that I'm
- 5:34Speaker 5: non sentimental, even though I intentionally kept this shirt. And
- 5:38Speaker 5: then you just had our nanny go through my closet
- 5:41Speaker 5: and just pick out things that.
- 5:42Speaker 2: You want to know.
- 5:44Speaker 3: It was in a box downstairs that was Jared's like sentimentals. Yeah,
- 5:48Speaker 3: and she pulled it out as if it was a
- 5:50Speaker 3: donation box. Anyway, all right, and what did we get
- 5:54Speaker 3: each other? As our last question from producer Heather, we
- 5:57Speaker 3: didn't even talk. Oh, the seventh wedding and aniversary is
- 6:01Speaker 3: supposed to be wool or copper, which would be an
- 6:03Speaker 3: easy gift to do something wool, I suppose. However, Jared
- 6:08Speaker 3: and I are so tired.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Of physical items.
- 6:12Speaker 3: We didn't even contemplate either of us getting each other
- 6:17Speaker 3: or anything.
- 6:18Speaker 4: No, it's just wasted money.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Like I love that you got me for our sixth anniversary.
- 6:24Speaker 3: We were on a Royal Caribbean cruise, which is my shindig,
- 6:27Speaker 3: and it was a week before anniversary, and he got
- 6:30Speaker 3: me an expensive Royal emerald necklace. And I love Caribbean
- 6:33Speaker 3: and I love emeralds, so he got.
- 6:35Speaker 4: That for me.
- 6:35Speaker 2: And that was a way overpriced item.
- 6:38Speaker 3: For something that we would normally gift each other, but
- 6:41Speaker 3: always very appreciated and like that I will always remember that.
- 6:44Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I spent a decent amount of money on
- 6:46Speaker 5: her necklace last year.
- 6:48Speaker 4: So I was like, well, I'm not going to buy
- 6:49Speaker 4: or anything.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Plus, she didn't get anything for me last anniversary, and
- 6:52Speaker 5: so I was like, I know she's not gonna get
- 6:53Speaker 5: it for me this anniversary.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Totally fine.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Obviously, I actually.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Think that he's a little at this point and where
- 7:00Speaker 3: we are, like quality time is a better gift than
- 7:03Speaker 3: any other thing. We really we are never really physical
- 7:07Speaker 3: gifts people.
- 7:08Speaker 5: No, Plus we're very lucky being this being a part
- 7:12Speaker 5: of reality TV that we get gifted a lot of things. Yeah,
- 7:15Speaker 5: And so it's like there's just so much inside the house.
- 7:18Speaker 5: It's like, do we really want to add to the clutter.
- 7:20Speaker 5: Let's save the money and use it towards you know,
- 7:23Speaker 5: a vacation with the kids, or a dinner something.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Dinner was wonderful, that was so good.
- 7:30Speaker 3: So I don't even think we would really think about
- 7:32Speaker 3: getting something for each other unless it's like a time
- 7:35Speaker 3: and place thing like last year until ten years.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Or an event or an experience or something. Yeah.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Oh you know, we're I got tickets to a Patriots
- 7:45Speaker 5: game or something like that.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Jonas concert you go to enough we're going to. Don't
- 7:51Speaker 2: be judging.
- 7:52Speaker 4: I'm not judging.
- 7:52Speaker 2: We're gonna see Aeron to it together.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Well, you've got to figure that out.
- 7:56Speaker 2: No, I already figured that out.
- 8:00Speaker 3: That is one thing I've truly converted Jared to, which
- 8:03Speaker 3: I love so much. Okay, so let's get into bachelor
- 8:07Speaker 3: headlines talking about weddings and engagements. Tyler Cameron is engaged
- 8:10Speaker 3: to his girlfriend of two years, Tate Madden. We are
- 8:13Speaker 3: not surprised by this news. We are super happy. Tyler
- 8:16Speaker 3: is such a great guy. I just love Tyler every
- 8:18Speaker 3: time he's on this podcast. Babe, I just I'm like,
- 8:21Speaker 3: this guy is such a good guy, and he had
- 8:23Speaker 3: all the opportunity to get like sucked up in the
- 8:25Speaker 3: Hollywood movement and was for a minute, and he just
- 8:28Speaker 3: does not care anymore, and I love it. He just
- 8:30Speaker 3: wants to build houses and do a little social content
- 8:33Speaker 3: with his seem to be wife.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Nice.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yeah, even like never hung out with Tyler.
- 8:39Speaker 4: I met him once.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 8:41Speaker 5: He was that It was in La we were it
- 8:43Speaker 5: was after a premiere or something.
- 8:45Speaker 2: I was out of premiere. I think it was a
- 8:47Speaker 2: spider Man premiere.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Actually, no, I don't think I've ever been to a
- 8:50Speaker 4: Spider Man. Really might have been Star Wars.
- 8:52Speaker 5: Wrong story short. Yeah, I mean, congratulations. I know they've
- 8:57Speaker 5: been dating for a while. They're a beautiful couple, clearly,
- 9:01Speaker 5: and congratulations.
- 9:03Speaker 3: That's awesome, so cute, and it was like it looks
- 9:05Speaker 3: like a simple engagement. It took place on Florida as
- 9:07Speaker 3: a little palm island, so by their house.
- 9:10Speaker 5: And I wonder if she has any relations John Madden.
- 9:14Speaker 5: You don't hear the last name Madden too often?
- 9:16Speaker 2: Not really, but also Benji Madden.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Who's Benji Madden?
- 9:20Speaker 2: The Madden brothers, you know Benji and what's his name?
- 9:24Speaker 3: Married to Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie and from Good Charlotte,
- 9:31Speaker 3: the Good Charlotte brothers.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, you don't know.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Those are Benji and Joel Madden.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Interesting, Okay, Well they met, they met, they did not
- 9:42Speaker 3: meet in twenty twenty two. Yeah, they've been they've known
- 9:45Speaker 3: for each other for a long time. I believe they've done.
- 9:50Speaker 3: I've believed that they've been together. They've known each other
- 9:53Speaker 3: as friends for a very long time. And then started
- 9:57Speaker 3: really having something something while filming and his home renovation
- 10:02Speaker 3: show Going Home with Tyler Cameron. She did photography and
- 10:05Speaker 3: stuff for the show, and then they hard launched the
- 10:09Speaker 3: relationship in September twenty twenty four. And it's just really
- 10:14Speaker 3: cute and I'm really happy for them and can't wait
- 10:16Speaker 3: to talk to Tyler next.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Time about it.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Next up is Bachelor and Paradis lum Joe Mobley. He
- 10:35Speaker 3: reveals his scar amidst his brain surgery recovery. The two
- 10:40Speaker 3: of them did a really funny real did you see that?
- 10:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, yeah, fantastic.
- 10:45Speaker 2: It's so good.
- 10:47Speaker 3: So I don't even know Harry Potter, but I know
- 10:49Speaker 3: that that was thing. It's so she's dubbing over the voice.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Serena goes, so is it true? Do you really have
- 10:57Speaker 3: the scar? And then he bends his head over and
- 11:01Speaker 3: shows the scar when he lifts up his baseball cap,
- 11:04Speaker 3: you know, because he's got a pretty decent sized scar,
- 11:07Speaker 3: kind of like the length of his hairline after his
- 11:10Speaker 3: brain surgery from last week to remove the tumor that
- 11:13Speaker 3: he had, and then Serena goes wicked.
- 11:16Speaker 2: So it's very cute.
- 11:17Speaker 3: I like the fact that they like made light of
- 11:19Speaker 3: this moment, but of course he's doing very well. So
- 11:22Speaker 3: Joe told us immediately after the surgery that they got
- 11:27Speaker 3: the entire tumor and it has been diagnosed as a
- 11:31Speaker 3: very low grade astrocytoma and that is a type of
- 11:37Speaker 3: brain or spinal tumor that may result in headache, Caesar's nausea, mood,
- 11:41Speaker 3: behavior changes.
- 11:42Speaker 5: It seems like the surgery went well, and I mean,
- 11:45Speaker 5: that's all you can ask for. And he seems to
- 11:47Speaker 5: be having a positive attitude. I mean, that's all you
- 11:49Speaker 5: can do. It's so much easier for us to sit
- 11:51Speaker 5: here and say, like you have to kind of be
- 11:54Speaker 5: positive and try to certainly not make light of it,
- 11:56Speaker 5: but keep on laughing and keep on living your life.
- 11:59Speaker 5: But it seems like he's doing that to the best
- 12:01Speaker 5: of his ability. And you know, obviously we just wish
- 12:04Speaker 5: nothing but the best for him, and.
- 12:06Speaker 2: I just I had great vibes for him.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I just felt like I was like, this is just
- 12:09Speaker 3: gonna be a blip, and I'm so glad that Prenovo
- 12:12Speaker 3: picked up on it.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Yeah, shout out too.
- 12:15Speaker 2: I mean, we love Prenovo.
- 12:16Speaker 3: We're gonna go get our scans at the end of
- 12:18Speaker 3: September early October for the second time, doing about like
- 12:22Speaker 3: every year and a half. All right, guys, next headline
- 12:27Speaker 3: is also medical related.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Ari Lindyke is going to.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Be getting his second vasectomy after having his first one reversed. So,
- 12:37Speaker 3: as you guys may or may not know before, a
- 12:40Speaker 3: couple of years ago, Ari got a pseect me because
- 12:44Speaker 3: they thought that after having the twins three kids total,
- 12:46Speaker 3: that they were done. A couple of years goes by,
- 12:48Speaker 3: they realize that they're not done. They wanted a fourth child,
- 12:51Speaker 3: so he went to go get the viseecti me reversed,
- 12:54Speaker 3: which is like a four hour, very delicate procedure, And
- 12:59Speaker 3: we all thought that he was nuts when we saw
- 13:01Speaker 3: him at Alon's wedding.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Yeah, he's getting like.
- 13:05Speaker 5: You are insane. He said it was the most painful
- 13:07Speaker 5: experience he's ever had. He said the vaseect me itself
- 13:10Speaker 5: was fine, pretty seamless, and then getting it reconnected was
- 13:14Speaker 5: the worst pain he ever experienced. Like, dude, you like,
- 13:18Speaker 5: now you're getting another visect me? Dude his balls.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Today is a great day to get a vasectomy. He
- 13:27Speaker 3: wrote on his Instagram story. Hope laughing gas is fun,
- 13:31Speaker 3: So I get so I guess they numb.
- 13:33Speaker 2: You physically in the ball area.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Then they get laughing gas.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, we've been thinking about Jared getting one. Well
- 13:38Speaker 2: we'll see. I just keep thinking it seems silly.
- 13:43Speaker 4: I don't know, It's like, why is it silly?
- 13:45Speaker 3: I don't know why is it silly? Because I think
- 13:47Speaker 3: I think we'd still worry. Anyway, congratulations to us both.
- 13:51Speaker 2: I'm not pregnant. I definitely have my full blown period.
- 13:53Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, good news.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Every month we do this, guys, every this is probably
- 14:00Speaker 3: but you know that a second he is not like
- 14:01Speaker 3: perfect until the year later.
- 14:04Speaker 4: It's like you have to play the odds.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Well, Jared doesn't mind so and I'm on the pill.
- 14:09Speaker 3: And for some reason, even though I'm still on the pill,
- 14:11Speaker 3: I freak out every month that we could be having
- 14:14Speaker 3: a third. So congrats to Lauren and Ari for somehow
- 14:18Speaker 3: sanely having four children. We are just getting by with
- 14:23Speaker 3: a slivery of sanity.
- 14:24Speaker 4: With two, barely. We're keeping our head above water.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Here why we're constantly confused, like if our children are different,
- 14:32Speaker 3: not so much Dawson.
- 14:33Speaker 2: We know Hayden's different.
- 14:35Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 14:37Speaker 3: If we had three Dawsons, we would absolutely do that.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Hayden has like three children and one well, Hayden, it's
- 14:46Speaker 2: just that. Uh.
- 14:46Speaker 5: He's also had a very tough age too, is tough,
- 14:49Speaker 5: and then he's been well he got better.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, better at two.
- 14:54Speaker 4: So I mean Hayden is newly too. Give him a
- 14:57Speaker 4: little while.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Yeah, well this is as already says. The second time
- 15:01Speaker 3: I got it reversed, I was out cold. This time
- 15:04Speaker 3: I've gotten to a new doctor who does laughing gas,
- 15:07Speaker 3: so I'm hoping this goes smoother.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Huh. So he didn't like going.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Oh when he says he was out cold, does that
- 15:13Speaker 3: mean he like he said it was traumatic? Does that
- 15:16Speaker 3: mean that he was put asleep for it or that
- 15:19Speaker 3: he was just scared and like fainted.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Maybe he's scared.
- 15:25Speaker 3: And he says, honestly, I can't complain. It doesn't hold
- 15:27Speaker 3: a candle to giving birth, so wish me look so.
- 15:30Speaker 3: And then he was treated when he got home to
- 15:34Speaker 3: a basket of snacks, Sarapatch kids, twinkies, milk duds, nutty Buddies,
- 15:39Speaker 3: and frozen peas.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Sounds like a good time right there.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Wow, what's up with all this dick talk? Chalk chapel?
- 15:45Speaker 3: You know Jones Chalk. He got his prostate removed and
- 15:49Speaker 3: a cancer scare. He said he had something happened when
- 15:52Speaker 3: he got off the show, had a blood test that
- 15:55Speaker 3: was shown that he had an elevated PSA. So we
- 15:58Speaker 3: monitored it for a while. PSA kept increasing. So long
- 16:02Speaker 3: story short, biopsy and m RAN and then another biopsy
- 16:04Speaker 3: and it turned aggressive. So last week I had my
- 16:08Speaker 3: prossly removed and made the decision to go ahead and
- 16:11Speaker 3: just get it done.
- 16:14Speaker 2: He said.
- 16:14Speaker 3: My son asked me how much time I wanted with
- 16:16Speaker 3: my grandchildren, and that's what made the decision easy to
- 16:19Speaker 3: get it removed, be around for them, for Joan for
- 16:21Speaker 3: the rest of my life.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Like he and Joan have been together for like quite
- 16:24Speaker 2: some time now. It's like they're real deal. So cute.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Oh no.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Susan Knowles confirms breakup with boyfriend.
- 16:34Speaker 2: How sad.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I did not know this. Susan's from the Golden You
- 16:39Speaker 3: know Chris Jenner look alike. Ah, she had a boyfriend
- 16:43Speaker 3: for about a year now.
- 16:45Speaker 4: I was hoping, I wish, I hope. He's twenty five.
- 16:48Speaker 2: No, no, but he was foreign. He could barely speak English.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Amazing, and so she didn't care she just felt the Yeah,
- 16:58Speaker 3: he lived in Saint Martin, and she was going back
- 17:00Speaker 3: and forth to Say Martin a lot. And in a
- 17:03Speaker 3: new episode of Bachelor Happy Hour Golden Hour, Susan confirmed
- 17:06Speaker 3: that she and Frederick have broken up. She was chatting
- 17:10Speaker 3: with Kathleen. She said, I'm struggling. I love fred Frederick,
- 17:13Speaker 3: and what makes this so difficult is I'm at the
- 17:15Speaker 3: point where I was really questioning whether loving someone is
- 17:18Speaker 3: enough when you know there are fundamental things that may
- 17:21Speaker 3: not work out long term. For instance, we're in such
- 17:24Speaker 3: different places financially and have different expectations about lifestyle and retirement.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Things may not work long term.
- 17:34Speaker 3: And I'm just trying to listen to my head as
- 17:35Speaker 3: much as I've always listened to my heart. And then
- 17:38Speaker 3: she also said she ended it it was the most
- 17:41Speaker 3: difficult thing she's ever done. And if I'm being completely truthful,
- 17:45Speaker 3: I saw some things pretty early on, ignored some red flags.
- 17:49Speaker 2: I loved all the attention.
- 17:50Speaker 3: My problem is when we have chemistry with someone and
- 17:53Speaker 3: I'm having fun and I'm feeling loved, I'm very good
- 17:55Speaker 3: at convincing myself that other things will all work themselves out,
- 17:59Speaker 3: and I realize that's a past and I ignore red flags.
- 18:02Speaker 2: So well, my heart's with you.
- 18:05Speaker 3: So Susan, I know that he made you very happy,
- 18:07Speaker 3: but you know, your heart is your Your head and
- 18:09Speaker 3: your heart are telling you different things, and I'm sure
- 18:13Speaker 3: this is for the best.
- 18:15Speaker 4: Yeah, life's too short. Just end it.
- 18:18Speaker 5: That's that's my advice right there. It's like at the
- 18:21Speaker 5: point too, when you're you get to a certain age,
- 18:23Speaker 5: I feel like you're you know, it's like, why are
- 18:25Speaker 5: we wasting each other's time?
- 18:26Speaker 4: So let's just move on.
- 18:27Speaker 5: It's okay. You'll be okay, I'll be okay. It sucks,
- 18:30Speaker 5: but we'll be fine.
- 18:32Speaker 3: So our final two headlines are about going Instagram official
- 18:35Speaker 3: with people. Peter Webber has a new girlfriend. So Peter
- 18:38Speaker 3: had like a new girlfriend for a while, and then
- 18:40Speaker 3: he like never announced that he split up with a girlfriend,
- 18:44Speaker 3: which is like fine, It's not like the girlfriend is
- 18:46Speaker 3: like a public figure. It's not like anybody has like
- 18:48Speaker 3: to announce breakups. So that's kind of refreshingly different in
- 18:52Speaker 3: this world that we live in. But he's no longer
- 18:55Speaker 3: with this girl. Now he has a new girlfriend. He's
- 18:58Speaker 3: supposedly been with her for a few months of the
- 19:00Speaker 3: graveyne we hear this, and now he's posted a photo
- 19:05Speaker 3: dump on Instagram including her Captain is Summer twenty twenty
- 19:10Speaker 3: six and they look cute.
- 19:13Speaker 2: She is still a mystery woman.
- 19:16Speaker 3: We don't have a name, we don't have a tag
- 19:17Speaker 3: on social media, but friends are commenting in the comments
- 19:23Speaker 3: saying like, ooh, so we're happy for Peter. Peter's a sweetheart.
- 19:29Speaker 3: We hope the best for him as well.
- 19:31Speaker 4: I wonder if she'll write a book about him.
- 19:34Speaker 2: The Shade someone's been hanging around housewives too long.
- 19:37Speaker 3: I know.
- 19:38Speaker 5: Wait, that's shady. I feel like that's more shady towards
- 19:41Speaker 5: Julie than That's what I mean.
- 19:42Speaker 2: That's what I mean.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Yeah, wonderful news for our friend Jill Chin. She has
- 20:00Speaker 3: revealed that she's had a boyfriend for a whole year
- 20:04Speaker 3: and they she says, the love of my life, which
- 20:08Speaker 3: is so great, Which is so wonderful considering we saw
- 20:10Speaker 3: her leave Paradise last year so upset. You know, everybody
- 20:15Speaker 3: was crying for her because she's just like, why.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Isn't it ever me? What is this?
- 20:21Speaker 3: I can't find the guy, I can't find anyone to
- 20:23Speaker 3: be interested to me, Like.
- 20:26Speaker 2: It was such an emotional thing.
- 20:27Speaker 3: And then what's ironic about it is she was probably
- 20:31Speaker 3: already dating this guy when that episode aired, because it
- 20:38Speaker 3: aired about a year ago now, and she's just saying
- 20:41Speaker 3: they celebrated their one year of being together.
- 20:45Speaker 4: Year.
- 20:45Speaker 2: The Paradise filmed in June of last year. May may
- 20:50Speaker 2: I think?
- 20:50Speaker 3: Actually, so yeah, she was definitely with this guy, which
- 20:52Speaker 3: is so sweet.
- 20:54Speaker 2: And she said, I.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Know, okay, you know what, speaking of having timetables turned,
- 21:01Speaker 3: I agree this that I couldn't figure out last night
- 21:04Speaker 3: when I was reading this, I was.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Like, that Paradise aired a year ago, it feels like
- 21:08Speaker 2: forever ago.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Actually, we had a season of Bachelor, so we had
- 21:12Speaker 3: we had delightful Man's golden Oh the.
- 21:17Speaker 5: One that with all due respective juries in this guy
- 21:19Speaker 5: but nobody liked. He was like a jerk, Yeah, what
- 21:24Speaker 5: is his name?
- 21:25Speaker 4: I've been blanking Harry?
- 21:26Speaker 2: Why am I blanking?
- 21:29Speaker 4: Oh? What is his name? Who's the football guy?
- 21:34Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 21:34Speaker 4: I know? Wait? Why am I having an absolute brain fart?
- 21:39Speaker 2: Now?
- 21:39Speaker 5: Now now now mel now, mel Mel mail mail mail
- 21:45Speaker 5: mail ah Man, So you're telling man, that's crazy, That
- 21:51Speaker 5: is crazy when you put in perspective all we've had.
- 21:54Speaker 2: What was the last mel ended like the first week
- 21:56Speaker 2: of November.
- 21:57Speaker 4: What was the last Bachelor Bachelorette season? We got?
- 22:00Speaker 2: The last bachelor at season was Gens.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Two years ago because it was cancer, No way, it
- 22:06Speaker 4: wasn't Gens.
- 22:07Speaker 2: It was what's his name, Grant's.
- 22:10Speaker 4: Yeah, Grant was the last bachelor the last Bachelorette season. Yeah,
- 22:14Speaker 4: that was a year and a half ago.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, the finale of that was in May. I
- 22:21Speaker 2: think March? Was it March? I don't know. I'm now
- 22:26Speaker 2: losing all track of time.
- 22:27Speaker 4: Who is the bachelorette before that? So Jen and she
- 22:33Speaker 4: was on Joey's season. Yeah, so when Joey and then
- 22:36Speaker 4: there was like a big boost back up.
- 22:38Speaker 2: And then and it was like decent and then Jones.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Our Jones the Golden Bachelorette.
- 22:44Speaker 5: Yeah, and then Grant was on Gens and then that
- 22:47Speaker 5: didn't do great.
- 22:48Speaker 4: Yeah and Paradise, Yeah.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Grant Jens was not didn't do that great in the ratings,
- 22:55Speaker 2: but I thought it was an entertaining season.
- 22:56Speaker 4: So Joey's was like the big boost up.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:59Speaker 5: So like it's pretty much confirmed. The Taylor Frank Paul
- 23:01Speaker 5: season is just never gonna air.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, no, She's messed up too many times over
- 23:04Speaker 2: the summer.
- 23:05Speaker 4: That's crazy. So that's that's that's a long time. That's
- 23:09Speaker 4: a long stretch, insane.
- 23:11Speaker 3: We'll go an entire calendar year without having any bachelor
- 23:15Speaker 3: and it's confirmed that it's going to come back.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Yeah, it feels it's green light for bachelor.
- 23:20Speaker 4: Bachelor. We don't know who the Bachelor's going to.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Be, no assumptions where it was going to be. Somebody
- 23:25Speaker 3: from Taylor season. I don't know, but I was like,
- 23:28Speaker 3: why don't we just really clean, really clean start, and
- 23:32Speaker 3: also like let's really stunt cast again with somebody that
- 23:36Speaker 3: we can trust like we have. It has to be
- 23:38Speaker 3: someone semi famous.
- 23:40Speaker 4: What does that I'm not even talking about.
- 23:42Speaker 2: I think he does need. I think this bachelor needs
- 23:44Speaker 2: to be famous.
- 23:45Speaker 4: No, what if they just go go pick somebody that
- 23:48Speaker 4: everybody like.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Gary, because oh could get Gary was a random choice?
- 23:54Speaker 4: No, no, not random.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Not random, Jared, all of our former favorite bachelor bachelor's
- 24:01Speaker 3: you know, like.
- 24:03Speaker 4: Like Peter Webber single.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Peter is married. Peter, Peter is married, married with
- 24:13Speaker 2: a baby.
- 24:14Speaker 3: Now, Peter Krauss is who Jared's preferred that the bachelor
- 24:19Speaker 3: that Jared and I always.
- 24:20Speaker 4: Wanted to be that never was six supposed to save
- 24:25Speaker 4: the franchise.
- 24:26Speaker 2: They never did it.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Who would be fifty.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Shades of grade.
- 24:31Speaker 3: It would be his entire the entire thing would be it.
- 24:34Speaker 3: But you know, it wasn't in the cards. And now
- 24:36Speaker 3: he's so happily married to a girl that I one
- 24:38Speaker 3: time met, like we are. Both of them were on
- 24:40Speaker 3: the podcast onces ago, the two of them together, but Jared.
- 24:44Speaker 3: The weird ass thing is that she and I met
- 24:47Speaker 3: after I'd only just done Chris's season. I was going
- 24:50Speaker 3: into Paradise but we hadn't filmed it yet, and I
- 24:52Speaker 3: met her at a meet and greet in Florida, and
- 24:54Speaker 3: I hit it off with her so much that I
- 24:57Speaker 3: followed her on Instagram and I've kept on her life
- 25:00Speaker 3: for the past eleven years. And then she ends up
- 25:04Speaker 3: meeting Peter and now they're married with the King. Isn't
- 25:06Speaker 3: that the weirdest, smallest world thing ever?
- 25:09Speaker 4: Who is the.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Most beloved o Gonna, most beloved Bachelorrette contestants of all time?
- 25:21Speaker 2: They're all married, They're all married.
- 25:25Speaker 4: All right, here we go, here we go?
- 25:26Speaker 2: Greg?
- 25:30Speaker 4: OK, that is good, Greg Grippo. This is it? This
- 25:34Speaker 4: is it? Guys, this is it, this is it? Just
- 25:40Speaker 4: do it? If any bachelor personal one that pops up on.
- 25:44Speaker 5: This beautiful what's the website? Fifty unforgettable Bachelorette contestants? Yo,
- 25:52Speaker 5: Greg Grippo is the answer. Cast Greg Grippo as whatever it.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Is the bachelor do Yeah.
- 26:00Speaker 5: I don't even need to keep looking because they're all
- 26:02Speaker 5: it's all like people that are.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Most of this list are married. Oh there you are.
- 26:09Speaker 4: That's very sweet. It's just impossible. It's all. This is it.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Most of these guys are.
- 26:15Speaker 4: I know I keep saying it, but this is it.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Got this is your last stand. See.
- 26:21Speaker 5: The reason I get grumpy is because, like, with all
- 26:23Speaker 5: due respect, it's just like I love that people get
- 26:26Speaker 5: engaged in and love and it's like, but I don't
- 26:28Speaker 5: have many much opinions about it. I could talk about
- 26:31Speaker 5: logistic things. This is my man brain, you know what
- 26:33Speaker 5: I mean, Like we can talk about production and writing
- 26:38Speaker 5: and season and ratings and things like that. That's fun
- 26:41Speaker 5: to me. Like Tyler and what's his gun Tate. They're
- 26:45Speaker 5: a beautiful couple. They're incredibly popular. But it's like, that's
- 26:49Speaker 5: all I have to say about it. I'm like, I'm
- 26:50Speaker 5: so happy for them. I wish them the best, but
- 26:53Speaker 5: like this stuff.
- 26:54Speaker 2: They're like truly truly cute.
- 26:56Speaker 3: Like I'm just telling you, Yeah, they're just not like
- 26:57Speaker 3: a regular couple to me, Like even if I didn't,
- 27:00Speaker 3: like I've never met her, but watching them on social
- 27:02Speaker 3: media feels like I know that like them together as
- 27:05Speaker 3: a couple, and they like really adorbs.
- 27:08Speaker 4: I mean, I have nothing kind.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Of remind me of like us when we were young, young,
- 27:13Speaker 3: wild and free.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Wild and free.
- 27:16Speaker 3: They'll have kids, they'll get depressed, but well they have
- 27:21Speaker 3: an Audrey's though.
- 27:23Speaker 5: Don't that's really that's that's the killing the kids. But no,
- 27:29Speaker 5: I mean obviously I love the kids. The reason I
- 27:31Speaker 5: don't feel comfortable saying that because I would.
- 27:33Speaker 3: If you saw the way he declares his love to
- 27:35Speaker 3: the children, Like it's just like over the top.
- 27:37Speaker 2: It's like it's like borderline romantic.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I just love them so much.
- 27:40Speaker 5: They're the best things that ever happened to me, the
- 27:43Speaker 5: whole family, Ashley and the two kids, the best things.
- 27:45Speaker 4: That ever happened to me.
- 27:47Speaker 5: But with this, get Greg Grippo, because here's the thing, don't.
- 27:52Speaker 2: He denied paradises?
- 27:54Speaker 4: You know what I mean, so, Pam, He'll just pay them.
- 27:57Speaker 5: You've already lost probably hundreds of if not millions of
- 28:01Speaker 5: dollars on Taylor, Frankie Paul.
- 28:04Speaker 4: Why would we go back and.
- 28:06Speaker 5: Be like, let's do a celebrity or another reality personality. No,
- 28:11Speaker 5: get the franchise back. Try to bring it back. Try
- 28:13Speaker 5: to bring back somebody old school, especially Katie season with
- 28:18Speaker 5: everything that she's gone through, like to bring that back
- 28:22Speaker 5: in the in the Forefront, and then have Greg Grippo
- 28:26Speaker 5: as the lead. He's charming, he's good looking, he's got all.
- 28:30Speaker 3: The friends that he could bring along on this journey
- 28:32Speaker 3: because like he's got such that close group of friends.
- 28:35Speaker 5: But I also love that he has that close group
- 28:37Speaker 5: of friends because I bet that he's just a nice guy.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Like if he's friends with Justin and Andrews, Like Justin
- 28:44Speaker 5: Andrew are just two really good people.
- 28:46Speaker 2: So if they're friends with just Lake Moyins, yeah, if.
- 28:50Speaker 5: He's friends with them, he's a good dude. And we
- 28:52Speaker 5: met him one time at Nick's his engagement party. Yeah, yeah,
- 28:56Speaker 5: and he was very nice and he's like really good looking.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Yeah, Like nobody's look at Greg and be like, Eh,
- 29:01Speaker 3: he's not my type.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Like he's pretty universal.
- 29:03Speaker 5: He's very good looking. Slap a tux on that dude. Yeah,
- 29:07Speaker 5: put him in front of the Bachelor. We're looking at
- 29:09Speaker 5: his instagram right now, Like he's kind of like a
- 29:11Speaker 5: crossover between Aaron Tavate and Ryan.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Gospler and Gosling. I see Ryan Gosling.
- 29:15Speaker 5: Dude, like he's got like flow gray hair. Don't cut it,
- 29:20Speaker 5: let it like, let's just do it, because it's like,
- 29:25Speaker 5: if we want to bring the franchise back, if we
- 29:27Speaker 5: want to like have bachelors start ingraining itself back in
- 29:30Speaker 5: pop culture, you need like a splash, but also you
- 29:33Speaker 5: need somebody who's from the franchise because you just can't
- 29:36Speaker 5: do this. We tried it, and you did the right
- 29:40Speaker 5: thing by trying it with Taylor Frankly Paul that you
- 29:43Speaker 5: did the right thing, Bachelor. I'm not saying you did
- 29:45Speaker 5: the wrong thing. You took a chance, you made a gamble,
- 29:49Speaker 5: and you put all of your eggs with Taylor Frank Paul,
- 29:51Speaker 5: and obviously it just blew up in everybody's face. And
- 29:54Speaker 5: I'm not even saying I blame that on you take
- 29:57Speaker 5: a swing. I respect he people and businesses and companies
- 30:03Speaker 5: that take swings.
- 30:04Speaker 4: And take chances who don't just play it safe.
- 30:06Speaker 5: But now you need to take another chance, but you
- 30:09Speaker 5: need to do it in a different realm. And I
- 30:11Speaker 5: think by taking a chance on someone who is extremely
- 30:14Speaker 5: popular within the Bachelor fandom and also someone that's pretty universal,
- 30:19Speaker 5: like that dude just looks like he could.
- 30:21Speaker 4: Be a leading man. How old is he?
- 30:22Speaker 2: Thirty three?
- 30:23Speaker 4: Perfect age.
- 30:25Speaker 5: Let's go because thirty three you can cast twenty six
- 30:28Speaker 5: year olds and you can cast thirty five year olds
- 30:30Speaker 5: like it's such a great wide range.
- 30:33Speaker 4: I'm in.
- 30:35Speaker 2: I'm in too.
- 30:36Speaker 4: Let's just do it. What are we waiting for?
- 30:38Speaker 2: Announce I'm taking the micro from him? All right?
- 30:42Speaker 4: It's great, good bro, that was.
- 30:43Speaker 2: The passion I was looking for at the beginning. Babe.
- 30:46Speaker 5: Put this at the forefront of the podcast, and then
- 30:48Speaker 5: I'll just go downhill after that.
- 30:52Speaker 2: I love my baby boy, Jared.
- 30:54Speaker 3: He's such a good He's such a passion. Your eyes
- 30:57Speaker 3: are so green and beautiful right now?
- 30:58Speaker 4: Oh? Thank you?
- 30:59Speaker 2: Yeah, they're so green. You really don't have doom. You
- 31:03Speaker 2: really don't have brown eyes.
- 31:04Speaker 5: They dropped a new trailer for Doctor Doom. They had
- 31:06Speaker 5: close up with his eyes and his eyes are green
- 31:08Speaker 5: and Robert Downey. Jud does have Green Eyes Serve, but
- 31:10Speaker 5: it's like, are there more than one doctor Doom?
- 31:12Speaker 2: Now?
- 31:13Speaker 3: Okay, And this is what Jared used to do on
- 31:15Speaker 3: his podcast too, and then Amy would be like, stay
- 31:18Speaker 3: on topic, isn't it more enjoyable?
- 31:22Speaker 4: I would love to have a poll.
- 31:25Speaker 3: I like going off topic too. But my favorite thing
- 31:27Speaker 3: about the Jonas podcast is that they literally just bro
- 31:31Speaker 3: talk for thirty minutes and it makes me smile through
- 31:33Speaker 3: the entire thing. It doesn't seem like there's any sort
- 31:36Speaker 3: of agenda, and I love podcasts that an agenda.
- 31:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I would rather just talk because that's the thing. Like,
- 31:43Speaker 5: I can't stay on topic. I'm sorry, unless the topic
- 31:46Speaker 5: is something that I'm incredibly interested in, then I can't
- 31:49Speaker 5: stay on topic. You asked me to come on this podcast,
- 31:52Speaker 5: you know what I mean, and so like I'm going
- 31:55Speaker 5: to talk, Okay, Well, no, I got the producers talking beore, No, yeah,
- 31:58Speaker 5: have them on our hall line?
- 31:59Speaker 4: Good?
- 32:00Speaker 2: Hey, yeah, this is what this is what?
- 32:01Speaker 3: This is what Heather is suggesting that we have our
- 32:05Speaker 3: listeners call about their opinions on Greg Grippo being the Bachelor.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Call eight four four five almost eight four four five
- 32:15Speaker 3: almost just leave a message.
- 32:17Speaker 2: It's not scary.
- 32:17Speaker 3: You're not gonna have one of us pick up, and
- 32:20Speaker 3: then you're just gonna be like, this is what I'm
- 32:21Speaker 3: thinking about Greg Grippo being the Bachelor.
- 32:24Speaker 2: All right?
- 32:24Speaker 4: Or give us more suggestions or can us more suggestions?
- 32:27Speaker 2: But that seems it. That seems it.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Because we no longer have Peter Krause ever be our bachelor,
- 32:33Speaker 3: we have to do this.
- 32:35Speaker 5: Well talking about Peter Cross, I'm thinking about the new
- 32:37Speaker 5: season of The Bachelor. Now, this is the last stand.
- 32:39Speaker 5: It feels like this is it. If this goes sideways,
- 32:43Speaker 5: it goes yeah.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Yeah, we can't our final chance.
- 32:46Speaker 5: It's the final It kind of feels like, man, I
- 32:48Speaker 5: don't know, like you know, you're telling me everything that's
- 32:50Speaker 5: happened over the past couple of years, including the Taylor
- 32:53Speaker 5: Frankie Paul and then we have a new Bachelor, and
- 32:55Speaker 5: it's like.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Yeah, Kate season was so far removed.
- 33:00Speaker 3: It was actually relatively close, like Jesse, Oh, it wasn't
- 33:03Speaker 3: Jesse who hosted that one. It was Caitlin and Tasha,
- 33:06Speaker 3: but it was after the whole Chris Harrison thing. So
- 33:08Speaker 3: it is recent memory. It's like recent in my head.
- 33:11Speaker 3: It's modern day bachelor, not our generation bachelor. But Greg
- 33:18Speaker 3: still brings home to something that feels nostalgic, and that's
- 33:23Speaker 3: what we sort of need.
- 33:25Speaker 4: But he also he's also young.
- 33:27Speaker 2: He's young but still feels nostalgic.
- 33:30Speaker 4: That's why I feel like it's a perfect choice.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, he was so young on Katie season. Must
- 33:36Speaker 2: have been like twenty seven.
- 33:37Speaker 4: We all were.
- 33:38Speaker 2: We all were that. I know.
- 33:41Speaker 4: I can't believe we thought we were ready to get
- 33:43Speaker 4: married back then. So stupid.
- 33:45Speaker 3: I would have married you then, would have made a
- 33:47Speaker 3: difference when you No, of course not. But when met
- 33:50Speaker 3: you at twenty seven, and we could.
- 33:52Speaker 4: Have and we weren't ready.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I think the way.
- 33:56Speaker 3: That we had it unfolded was for the best. I agree,
- 33:59Speaker 3: for sure, But I'm sure we still have it still
- 34:02Speaker 3: been fine. If we got married at twenty seven, maybe
- 34:06Speaker 3: not for you.
- 34:08Speaker 2: You probably would have been like I still wasn't done.
- 34:11Speaker 4: See if there's.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Anything else out there.
- 34:14Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Ery sweet No, I'm pretty sure that's what did happen.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Jared sort of.
- 34:25Speaker 4: No, guys are stupid. I'm stupid.
- 34:29Speaker 2: That's so sweet, all right, And until next time, I've.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Been Ashley, I've been me.
- 34:38Speaker 2: He's been the grumpy old man.
- 34:39Speaker 4: Grumpy old man.
