Durand Station Drama Resolved | Flint News
After a three-month legal standoff, Durand’s Union Station drama is finally resolved—thanks to smart compromise. The railroad history museum agreed to reorganize its exhibits, freeing up storage space the city wanted for a massive new model railroad display. In return, the model railroad club will share the remaining area, letting the museum keep some key artifacts. This win-win clears the way for bigger plans, including a long-discussed path over the tracks to Diamond District Park—now backed by state funding. Everyone’s optimistic about the station’s future.
