- 0:21Speaker 1: content in the world. All right, today's episode, we're kicking
- 0:25Speaker 1: it off. We are ranking. Are we ranking them?

- 0:51Speaker 1: You got all the villains queued up?
- 0:53Speaker 2: I know the villains, the villains, let's hear it, man,
- 0:57Speaker 2: But I'm fumbling the names on the creed joints.

- 1:03Speaker 1: You know, I mean where Rocky is the fighter?
- 1:05Speaker 2: Okay, alright, so just Rockys no no, no.
- 1:08Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 1:10Speaker 1: No, because he didn't fight. Oh you mean the most
- 1:12Speaker 1: the last one that he fought. Yes, but not a
- 1:16Speaker 1: Donna cree, although Johnathan Major's Vie was great.
- 1:20Speaker 2: But just Rocky villain, just the rock the Rocky villain,
- 1:24Speaker 2: Rocky villains in the Rocky movie.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Let's get it all right, Well, first up, who we got.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Let's just get the names. We're gonna name them all.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Apollo Creed.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Oh snap, he is the village, it becomes the friend
- 1:38Speaker 2: for the first two is him.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I don't only forgot because they become friends. I'm messed
- 1:45Speaker 1: up already. Creed is the vielain of the first the
- 1:49Speaker 1: Rocky and y'all forget Rocky lost in Rocky One. He
- 1:53Speaker 1: did so good forgiving he lost. That's why Creed was
- 1:57Speaker 1: pissed off.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Okay, Polo Creed, Pollo Creed, Twy Clubber Lane, I love
- 2:02Speaker 2: Clupper Okay, Drago, Yeah, Tommy, I hated tell me gun.
- 2:10Speaker 1: He turned his back on Rocky following the alley bare Neck.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Over and uh, what's his name? And it's not Antonio
- 2:22Speaker 3: And that's it.
- 2:23Speaker 1: That's it.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Wait, wasn't there like seven movies?
- 2:29Speaker 3: No Rocky by Bull was the last Rocky so.
- 2:32Speaker 1: He fought creating wanting to clever Lane.
- 2:38Speaker 3: You wonder if you want.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Technically, let's startling at the bottom. So three is cluver
- 2:44Speaker 1: Lane is the early villain. No, clever Lane is the villain. Yeah,
- 2:47Speaker 1: because clever Lane was.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Couver Lane was going for the jugging, wasn't. No, I
- 2:51Speaker 2: ain't gonna be your friend after this. That ain't Apollo Cree.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Now I ain't your friend. I'll be I'll show you
- 2:57Speaker 2: wife a good time. I'll show Adrian what a real
- 3:01Speaker 2: man looked like. Rocky ball boy, you tell Adrian to
- 3:04Speaker 2: come on down to where I'm.
- 3:06Speaker 3: At, Cree.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Clever Lane is who Rocky becomes in Rocky four because
- 3:12Speaker 1: he got to get out the mud and Rocky four
- 3:14Speaker 1: in Russia.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Yeah, clever Lane was in the basement with no equipment.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Rocky was all ferrari.
- 3:20Speaker 3: He was rich.
- 3:24Speaker 1: The money boy squandered the money man.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Clever Lane was like man, Big James cleand Big James
- 3:30Speaker 3: Cleveland dunk.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Okay, man, Okay, shout out to mister d all right.
- 3:35Speaker 1: So let's let's go bottom up.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Okay, right, Tommy is at the bottom. Let's get it
- 3:40Speaker 2: out there. We gotta keep talk hooking in you have
- 3:44Speaker 2: an exhibition and then why you hate Tommy?
- 3:54Speaker 1: So bad.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I mean it was just a Rocky five is just
- 3:58Speaker 2: bottom tier, easily the worst Rocket, easily the worst Rocky.
- 4:05Speaker 3: And it was just like I just didn't like how
- 4:06Speaker 3: he turned on Rocky.
- 4:08Speaker 1: It didn't feel like it didn't feel like it was warranted.
- 4:12Speaker 2: No, it wasn't like. I was like, there was no
- 4:14Speaker 2: build up to it. There was nothing to make to
- 4:17Speaker 2: make it believable. Why Tommy would turn on Rocket?
- 4:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I was just like, wait, why yeah, right right
- 4:25Speaker 1: here in the streets. It's like a street fighter background.
- 4:28Speaker 3: He was like, yeah, touch me in out suit.
- 4:32Speaker 2: That part was funny suit. He looked just like dark
- 4:36Speaker 2: kids he did. You got Tommy at the very bottom,
- 4:40Speaker 2: including hawkholder. No disrespect to tom in real life. He
- 4:43Speaker 2: passed away recipes. But man, get him out.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Didn't get him up out of here.
- 4:48Speaker 1: With all that being said, get him the hell out
- 4:51Speaker 1: of it.
- 4:52Speaker 3: All right, who's next? Gotta began? Man, Yeah, that was silly.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Well that was a circus and that that was going
- 5:00Speaker 2: on here. And then then you don't realize how big
- 5:04Speaker 2: Hulk Hogan is until you see it with a normal
- 5:08Speaker 2: shorter Yeah, you know, semester, the loan was not tall.
- 5:11Speaker 2: But when we see Hulk Hogan. Growing up watching Huk
- 5:13Speaker 2: Hogan them other wrestlers was big yeah. And you see
- 5:16Speaker 2: him fight Andre and the giant ho Hold. Look Minuscy.
- 5:19Speaker 2: He is the here's the David in that man. But
- 5:21Speaker 2: then when you see hog Hogan in the rocket ring,
- 5:24Speaker 2: You're like, wait, Honk Hogan is that tall?
- 5:28Speaker 1: Clawn had Mercy Hong Hoogan came with the body with
- 5:31Speaker 1: the side from the jump Man. I was the kid.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I was like, he's really comforting.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Was look this, there's nothing in the middle in the
- 5:40Speaker 3: upper back.
- 5:42Speaker 1: When he was in court, he had his professional black due.
- 5:45Speaker 1: So I can't go with the red and yellow accomedia
- 5:47Speaker 1: for cors. Seriously, I gotta get the you know what
- 5:50Speaker 1: I'm saying, the tablecloth black.
- 5:54Speaker 3: All right, man, look out man, we know you do.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Brother Johnna, you know saying I'll see you in your chambers.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Your brother. I'm a woman, I know sister brother, sister brother.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Listen the case, the case question brother.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Oh all right, So Hogan's number he's second worst, So
- 6:21Speaker 1: we gotta go Tarbor next.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Tarbor. Yeah, Tarvor.
- 6:25Speaker 1: He's just not really memorable as a film now. He's
- 6:28Speaker 1: just a real boxer that I knew was a boxer.
- 6:31Speaker 1: But story wise, I was just like cool man, it's.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Cool they got a real boxer, and it was like,
- 6:37Speaker 2: you know, but there was no real.
- 6:39Speaker 3: There was really no real beef on.
- 6:43Speaker 2: No, you know, like they said, you know, Rocket could
- 6:47Speaker 2: statistically beat you, and it was just like it, I'll
- 6:50Speaker 2: take him on. And then exhibition.
- 6:52Speaker 3: That was exhibition.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I didn't care. I didn't care at all.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Was low.
- 6:57Speaker 1: I was just watching Rocket because I watched Rocket, right.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I never even didn't even have a phone. I was
- 7:01Speaker 1: looking at my phone in the future. It's gonna be
- 7:04Speaker 1: crazy man.
- 7:05Speaker 3: And it was a nice redemption from Rocky five.
- 7:08Speaker 1: It was better than Rocky I remember Rocky five was like,
- 7:12Speaker 1: not only is it a bad movie, Rocky four is
- 7:15Speaker 1: my personal favorite Rocky movie. To the drop off Mads
- 7:20Speaker 1: five feel way worse because you have Drago the Cold War.
- 7:25Speaker 1: We was really afraid of Russia at that time. It
- 7:28Speaker 1: was always like, you know, the war, you know what
- 7:31Speaker 1: I'm saying. Cold War wasn't that far away.
- 7:35Speaker 2: So and then like I don't know how many how
- 7:37Speaker 2: many years was it in between four and five?
- 7:40Speaker 3: Four or five in that movie.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Yes, Rocky five was nineteen ninety Rockies four was eighty seven.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Okay, So it's not long enough to be that bad, No.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Because they had they had gaps like that in between,
- 7:56Speaker 2: Like I think it was a couple of years between
- 7:58Speaker 2: one and two.
- 7:59Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a couple more years, maybe three between.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Two and three, yep, yep, and then there was.
- 8:04Speaker 2: A probably the biggest gap was up until that point
- 8:07Speaker 2: was between three and four and then so I was
- 8:11Speaker 2: still hype.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Yeah, and then Tommy angle. I was just like, yeah,
- 8:15Speaker 1: you probably. I remember being like, y'all, don't.
- 8:17Speaker 3: I like the fact that it was a street fight.
- 8:19Speaker 1: That was the only thing, but it was. But I
- 8:22Speaker 1: didn't care.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I didn't care, and I hated Tommy even when Tommy
- 8:25Speaker 2: was on his side.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Tommy was not likable as a character. I just didn't
- 8:29Speaker 1: like Tommy just he had the mullet and stuff. He
- 8:32Speaker 1: would have called you a nigga for show the show Man.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I can see that from the show.
- 8:36Speaker 2: They knock you out when you're gonna do something about it, Hey,
- 8:38Speaker 2: who are you calling it? Because he was knocking cats
- 8:42Speaker 2: out in real life. He was a little scanning man
- 8:46Speaker 2: was he was wild.
- 8:49Speaker 3: He was a wild boy.
- 8:51Speaker 2: I didn't remember feeling bad for Rocky. I was like,
- 8:54Speaker 2: you cannot fight this dude.
- 8:55Speaker 1: He's young.
- 8:56Speaker 2: I always feel bad for Rocky. Rocky boy is such
- 8:59Speaker 2: a nice guy man.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Yes, he has a as a character. He's a lovable loof.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Yeah, and then he gets beat up. Man.
- 9:09Speaker 1: That's why the Creed movies are Loki. Did he win
- 9:13Speaker 1: an oscar for one of them?
- 9:14Speaker 3: He got nominated for the first Creed.
- 9:16Speaker 1: The punched up older Rocky. I would lost it all.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Don't even want to do this anymore. Sylvester Saloon played
- 9:24Speaker 1: that role, Oh for sure, perfectly.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I remember being like, man, this dude when he lost it,
- 9:30Speaker 2: it was like he never got it back.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Good.
- 9:33Speaker 2: It's really a tragic story with a good He was rich,
- 9:39Speaker 2: get lost. What is gambling? Yeah, gambling, gambling and squandering
- 9:43Speaker 2: and making bad deals.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Trash. His brother in law was trash from the jump.
- 9:50Speaker 1: He was. He was treating Adrian terrible. We just rewatched
- 9:54Speaker 1: it with the boys. We had to stop because there's
- 9:56Speaker 1: some non consensual stuff that wouldn't fly today. When rock
- 10:00Speaker 1: he goes to Adrian's apartment, he puts his hand on
- 10:03Speaker 1: the door blocks her.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Just give me a kiss, man, give me a kiss.
- 10:08Speaker 2: The boys were like, hey, we were taught it was
- 10:12Speaker 2: cringe city. Rocky was saying that Rocky blocks her, and
- 10:19Speaker 2: he's like, I just.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Want to know you ain't got to go nowhere. Just
- 10:21Speaker 1: give me a kill.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Already together.
- 10:24Speaker 1: No, this is the first date. And he goes a kisser.
- 10:27Speaker 1: She's like, and I take you. And the kids were like,
- 10:32Speaker 1: come on, man. But Isaiah looked at her. He's like, man,
- 10:35Speaker 1: when was this maid? I was like, seventies, this is
- 10:40Speaker 1: It's like.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Rocky was just taking it. Then they was just like, no,
- 10:44Speaker 2: you go give me this.
- 10:45Speaker 1: At the door blocking pasited, I was like, now, listen, boys,
- 10:50Speaker 1: this is this is what we talk about. Consider because
- 10:52Speaker 1: he obviously she does not want to be here. You
- 10:55Speaker 1: never want to block her in a crime. This is
- 10:58Speaker 1: a crime.
- 11:00Speaker 3: She has social anxiety.
- 11:02Speaker 1: A time she did we didn't go back to it.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Was crippling, shyness, cripple, terrible rocket.
- 11:14Speaker 1: All right, what we got next this is word's gonna

- 13:09Speaker 3: Now back to the bowl billings.
- 13:12Speaker 2: We got Drago, clubber Lane Creed. I'm gonna go Drago next. Yeah,
- 13:21Speaker 2: because because outside of him actually killing Apollo Creed and
- 13:28Speaker 2: it was heartless.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Really you could take it dog. The thing that messed
- 13:36Speaker 1: me up about yeah, yeah, the thing about that scene
- 13:44Speaker 1: that was an exhibition bout.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:46Speaker 1: That wasn't even a schedule for twelve. It was supposed
- 13:50Speaker 1: to be three three rounds and he in the black dude.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Yeah. We always use that meme, man, throw it down, man.
- 14:07Speaker 2: But outside of the way Drago was set up is
- 14:11Speaker 2: minimal personality.
- 14:13Speaker 3: It's like, if he dies, he dies. It's just this
- 14:15Speaker 3: is what we do.
- 14:16Speaker 2: I like Drago better than the Creed movies because we
- 14:19Speaker 2: get to see him as a human being.
- 14:20Speaker 3: But it was just like feeling the steaks.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Of course, that's what I was gonna say.
- 14:27Speaker 1: And the intimidation factor because of like Drago was like
- 14:34Speaker 1: towering or like cluver Lane, I mean cluver Lane and Creed,
- 14:38Speaker 1: like obviously they're better boxers, but they were like not
- 14:41Speaker 1: physically imposing to Rocky. So when he was fighting Creed,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I was like, this is believable. When Drago was fighting him,
- 14:48Speaker 1: I was like, he's and he had killed Creed, who
- 14:50Speaker 1: was a better boxer than Rocky. But now he's a
- 14:54Speaker 1: murderous exhibition or killer. But also I'm being honest, that's
- 14:59Speaker 1: the first Rocky movie I saw. And then I went back.
- 15:03Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, But I won't argue because
- 15:05Speaker 1: I feel like clever Lane, clother.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Lane is killing him in personality though, man, clever Lane,
- 15:11Speaker 2: clever Lane was just he he busted out of the
- 15:16Speaker 2: pages of the script. It was just and mister T
- 15:20Speaker 2: was at his a pass. This is what made him
- 15:23Speaker 2: a star.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Yes, he first of all, he was so good like
- 15:28Speaker 1: as an actor and even more than other a team.
- 15:31Speaker 1: I love a team be a barrackas big fan, but
- 15:34Speaker 1: as clever Lane. I was like, man, man, he's he's help.
- 15:38Speaker 3: He had to get more of him. We was like, yo,
- 15:40Speaker 3: I need more mister T.
- 15:41Speaker 2: He was coming to the press conference. It wasn't waiting
- 15:44Speaker 2: his turn. I believe no, man, shut up, fight me now.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Man. He had the mister T haircut.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Yeah. I was like, Yo, this dude is wild. Man.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I love Drago THOUGHO is great, is a great villain,
- 15:58Speaker 2: but he's.
- 15:58Speaker 3: One note years a robot and he had all the stuff. Yeah,
- 16:03Speaker 3: you know he was.
- 16:04Speaker 1: That's what I think what I love about it, and
- 16:06Speaker 1: I agree personality wise, the steak seemed the highest with Drago.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, for sure, because we lost somebody.
- 16:13Speaker 2: We lost some of the first time somebody died, yes,
- 16:17Speaker 2: well not I mean I think Mickey died like the
- 16:19Speaker 2: third one.
- 16:20Speaker 3: But he wasn't murdered. Yeah, he was old.
- 16:23Speaker 1: We knew it was coming right and name Drago had
- 16:27Speaker 1: no remorse.
- 16:28Speaker 3: For the murder. Yeah, if he dies, he dies, I said,
- 16:32Speaker 3: you gotta get him man cold. What year was that
- 16:35Speaker 3: ninety Well for a rock Rocky four eighty seven? Was
- 16:39Speaker 3: it eighty six or eighty seven?
- 16:42Speaker 4: Was eighty five?
- 16:43Speaker 3: It was eighty five?
- 16:44Speaker 4: Yeah, and then the Rocky five is ninety ninety.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Oh, so that was a big gap.
- 16:49Speaker 4: Everything has three years except for Rocky four and five.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Rocky four is older than I thought it was.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Dang, my aunt had all these movies on. That's eighty
- 16:56Speaker 1: five VHS. Dang, I was thinking it was eighty seven.
- 17:02Speaker 1: But now that I think about it, I'm gonna go
- 17:03Speaker 1: with you.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Also, the tiger theme song was pretty great in that movie.
- 17:06Speaker 3: That definitely helps Rocky. Rocky wait out of the Tigers
- 17:10Speaker 3: and Rocky three. That's four. That's four.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Wow, that's what Rocky was the most. I was the
- 17:16Speaker 1: most in That's my favorite Rocky. He was like, man,
- 17:19Speaker 1: I'm going to Russia. I'm chopping trees, I'm running through
- 17:23Speaker 1: the snow. I'm all alone. He didn't even have nobody
- 17:26Speaker 1: in the camp with him. He was dolo in Russia, like,
- 17:29Speaker 1: I'm about to take you. It's very much miracle on ice.
- 17:33Speaker 1: We're going against the Soviets, like you know what I'm saying.
- 17:35Speaker 1: They had all those elements. It was eighties and had
- 17:39Speaker 1: the tall Russian wife. Oh yeah, Bridge Nielsen.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Man, I liked her Bridge Nielsen. She was she was
- 17:45Speaker 3: the woman of the moment. Did he marry her Rocky
- 17:48Speaker 3: I think that was ye, yeah, they were, they were together.
- 17:50Speaker 1: He married for me.
- 17:50Speaker 2: He was like, girl, listen, I'm gonna take it, get in,
- 17:53Speaker 2: get it on what we're trying to do, all right,
- 17:56Speaker 2: So I feel like you're gonna go clubb Lane.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Now club Lane. You got to go club clubbing Lang
- 18:01Speaker 3: is next clupper Lane got to go.
- 18:03Speaker 2: He had number two spot. He had number two spot though,
- 18:08Speaker 2: and of course and Creed, Pollo Creed is number one.
- 18:12Speaker 2: What a great because he morphed into like I always say,
- 18:16Speaker 2: the best villains have layers. Yeah, and he went from
- 18:21Speaker 2: villain to a great friend, to a mentor to a partner.
- 18:24Speaker 3: It was just and he got the he is the
- 18:27Speaker 3: reason for the spin off.
- 18:29Speaker 2: And I was rooting for a pollow Creed where.
- 18:34Speaker 3: And the first is like, man, I like a Polo Creed.
- 18:37Speaker 3: I don't want him to lose.
- 18:39Speaker 2: So it was like the movie he's written for you
- 18:41Speaker 2: to like Rocky Tony. He's like, man, watch Y man,
- 18:43Speaker 2: my mom to trade about hard.
- 18:45Speaker 3: For me to root against a pollow Creed.
- 18:47Speaker 1: He was so mad at Rocky when he just got close. Yeah,
- 18:52Speaker 1: he was like fighting a kid. I got lost. Also
- 18:58Speaker 1: recipes called Weathers brothers. My Weathers was an amazing actor.
- 19:04Speaker 1: One of my favorite things he was when he was
- 19:06Speaker 1: in Happy Gilmour with the hand that was so funny
- 19:10Speaker 1: type of gags. I was never too old for him.
- 19:15Speaker 2: He was like he was always he was using that
- 19:19Speaker 2: hand and that made it so funny to me. He
- 19:23Speaker 2: was like, he got me, but I got his eye
- 19:25Speaker 2: though he was tapping the jar was so big hand
- 19:32Speaker 2: because it made his arm look super long in the sweater,
- 19:35Speaker 2: Like who gave him this hand?
- 19:39Speaker 3: I was crying at that.
- 19:43Speaker 1: He was in that movie a lot too. He was
- 19:45Speaker 1: always in the back.
- 19:48Speaker 4: He was the mentor.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Yeah, something was always happening into that hand throughout the movie.
- 19:53Speaker 2: It got crushed when he tried to shake it and
- 19:55Speaker 2: he was gluing it back together and then it got
- 19:58Speaker 2: knocked off and then run over. He had the piece
- 20:01Speaker 2: back together. Come on, man, there is no tomorrow. That
- 20:05Speaker 2: line Apollo Creed, there is no tomorrow. You felt that
- 20:09Speaker 2: in your spirits.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Man.
- 20:10Speaker 1: He was also really good.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Was it Predator?
- 20:12Speaker 2: He was in Yes, as Jackson, him and Arnold have
- 20:17Speaker 2: I used it so all Top ten Jazz used that.
- 20:21Speaker 1: I said it to black Day, like who is the
- 20:23Speaker 1: white man? I'm Carl Weathers in the gym. Whoever sends
- 20:26Speaker 1: it to Carl Weathers, Yeah, because he's got the smile.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Also Thick stash Man.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Carl Wellers.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Came in with the eighties here.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Remind me and my dad man that, like.
- 20:36Speaker 1: That's your father's that mustache full of coffee and regret.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Yep, he was a man. He was a man. That
- 20:43Speaker 3: was a man. He was a man.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Action Jackson man had vanity with him. She was fine
- 20:48Speaker 2: as him. He's flipping over taxi cabs.
- 20:51Speaker 3: It was just great.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Ral, you know what, since we're here, let's just
- 20:54Speaker 1: do the Creed feelings separately, Okay, just not rockies box
- 20:59Speaker 1: so crew, we got what uh he had.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Drago's son was the second second Creed.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Okay, so Drago number two, which basically he did the
- 21:09Speaker 1: same thing his dad had without the Russia thing. First
- 21:13Speaker 1: one he lost Danny Wheeler and he just got beat
- 21:18Speaker 1: up in the Yeah, Victor Son, who's the village? So
- 21:22Speaker 1: the third one is Jonathan Major's character Dominic I believe.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Is the first movie.
- 21:29Speaker 3: He was a real box ar thing too, so we
- 21:31Speaker 3: put him last. He's out there already.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Drag his son had the same set up without the
- 21:40Speaker 1: flair the same setup as what like the son of
- 21:43Speaker 1: Draga versus Son of Creed, but we didn't have the Russia.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Yes, they were underdogs for sure.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Now now you know when they were when they were
- 21:53Speaker 2: gearing up to fight Creed, you was sympathetic to them.
- 21:58Speaker 3: It was gritty where they were training.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Then you know, the family shunned them, and you know,
- 22:03Speaker 2: out they failed, and it was just like, oh, y'all,
- 22:06Speaker 2: turn y'all back on him because he failed. So now
- 22:08Speaker 2: all of a sudden you're feeling sorry for Drago.
- 22:10Speaker 1: You were like, wait a minute, hold.
- 22:13Speaker 2: On, man, you killed Apollo three. But now I'm over
- 22:16Speaker 2: here like, man, man, you know they did it dirty man,
- 22:21Speaker 2: just because you lost. And then and then of course
- 22:24Speaker 2: Jonathan may just be first Damien he was man, Yeah,
- 22:32Speaker 2: he's exciting. No, because it's just easy. It's easy. This
- 22:37Speaker 2: is super easy, all right.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Next up, we got the mount rushmore of comedians and
- 22:46Speaker 1: dramatic roles.
- 22:46Speaker 3: I don't even know if Mount Rush rolls enough, but
- 22:49Speaker 3: we can we can try. Okay, So comedians and dramatic
- 22:54Speaker 3: roal meetings and dramatic roles.
- 22:56Speaker 1: We need the best four, the top four comedians in dramatic,
- 22:59Speaker 1: dramatic role, Robin Williams, good Will hunting, good Will hunt
- 23:02Speaker 1: That's what I was gonna say the first Let's just
- 23:05Speaker 1: cut the ship that you can't get him off.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Let's cut the ship Ray not being funny Robin Williams
- 23:11Speaker 2: because low KEI taking up the whole Mount Rushmore by himself.
- 23:14Speaker 1: But you can't because Eddy.
- 23:16Speaker 2: M Robin Williams and Good Morning Vietnam.
- 23:23Speaker 1: He was a little funnier than that. He was. He
- 23:25Speaker 1: was on the funny side. But Eddie Murphy as Jimmy Early.
- 23:30Speaker 1: You won't take it from me, okay, because Eddie Murphy
- 23:33Speaker 1: hit them like he had to. He had to down
- 23:37Speaker 1: the dol drums.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Yeah, umpty, yes, solid is it.
- 23:42Speaker 1: It's full just dramatic.
- 23:43Speaker 2: He's dramatic, the kind of silly and yes, charisma, but
- 23:47Speaker 2: but it gets to the like it gets to the
- 23:50Speaker 2: nitty gritty, but he's silly in the Jamie Fox and
- 23:55Speaker 2: Ray is solidified. Okay, now that's yeah. He won for
- 23:59Speaker 2: that on there, Okay, I'll put Jamie there, no question.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Literally, I still can't believe Jamie Fox had Ray and
- 24:07Speaker 1: Collateral in the same.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Game, nominated for both.
- 24:10Speaker 1: That was Collateral for me, don't get talked about enough.
- 24:15Speaker 1: How good of a movie.
- 24:15Speaker 3: That is a good time.
- 24:17Speaker 1: Him and Tom Cruise were equally matched acting wise in there.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Tom Cruise is good in that what as an assassin
- 24:26Speaker 1: with no.
- 24:28Speaker 3: I don't buy them forwarding him in the end one thousand.
- 24:32Speaker 1: That was like what Tom Cruise should have won. It
- 24:34Speaker 1: should have killed Jamie Fox and walked out the street bloody.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Jamie Fox should have never got the Jamie.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Gonna be took three burners to figure out what was
- 24:44Speaker 2: happening people.
- 24:46Speaker 1: He throwing people out the windows. I was like, he
- 24:49Speaker 1: looked like almost like an anime villain. Anime they be
- 24:52Speaker 1: having the blood on the face. When he got shot
- 24:55Speaker 1: and he came out with the blood with the gray hair,
- 24:57Speaker 1: I was like, this is a way to die. He
- 25:00Speaker 1: was too efficient and it took him a long time
- 25:02Speaker 1: to die of the train when he got she was
- 25:04Speaker 1: still riding. He was.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I know, I know they had to
- 25:10Speaker 2: do it, but we was like, nah.
- 25:13Speaker 1: If that movie ended with Tom Cruise winning, I'd have
- 25:16Speaker 1: been like, this is probably would have realistic. They already
- 25:18Speaker 1: told you the story of the other time that happened in.
- 25:20Speaker 3: His life, like Jada you were a mark.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I love that.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Uh. My favorite part of that movie is when Tom
- 25:29Speaker 2: Cruise told Jamie fox Man, you ain't never gonna open
- 25:31Speaker 2: that limbo bet limo business man ship.
- 25:33Speaker 1: The hell no, you ain't saving for no permits.
- 25:37Speaker 3: Tom was right, we would be bullshit.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Jamie's like, he's got to get the permits. I got
- 25:42Speaker 2: the insurance, gotta get paid week. He was like, man,
- 25:43Speaker 2: you ain't doing nothing. You're gonna be driving this taxi forever.
- 25:47Speaker 2: If you wanted to do it, you would have did it.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Jamie was like, he did it already. You're right, man,
- 25:52Speaker 2: you would have done it. I'm finnah start driving hard.
- 25:56Speaker 3: People don't want to hear it.
- 25:57Speaker 1: They don't want to hear But Jamie took it to
- 25:59Speaker 1: heart and he hoped he better had opened it up. Now,
- 26:04Speaker 1: come on, Tony, get it together.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Boom, we're backing business, all right. So we got Jamie Ray,
- 26:12Speaker 2: we got Robin Williams and Goodwill Hunting.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I like Adam Sandling uncut gems a lot.
- 26:20Speaker 3: I feel like he got snubbed by the Oscars.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Okay, I wasn't thinking that, But that movie was a
- 26:27Speaker 1: good time.
- 26:28Speaker 3: That's not his first Foray and Nomic Woods.
- 26:30Speaker 2: But he was that movie right there that he was
- 26:34Speaker 2: booty cheeks clinched the whole stress that movie.
- 26:38Speaker 1: I watched it by myself in Sacramento, me into here
- 26:41Speaker 1: how to show that day, and I had my booty
- 26:44Speaker 1: cheeks clinched because it's high octane till the very.
- 26:47Speaker 2: End, your nerves are on frazzleg. I was like with
- 26:53Speaker 2: some cold peas, man, oh this is it. You're right
- 26:57Speaker 2: Aaron Monique.
- 26:58Speaker 3: And precious Eddie Murphy not making the cut.
- 27:02Speaker 1: This is hold on.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Let me just write, Eddie Murphy can't push Robin off
- 27:10Speaker 2: of Little Hunting.
- 27:12Speaker 3: It's not your fault.
- 27:14Speaker 1: No, man, get away from Robin Williams. Man, don't do
- 27:18Speaker 1: this to be man. It's not your fault. Matt damn
- 27:21Speaker 1: broke man. I just watched that. Sometimes when I want
- 27:24Speaker 1: to be sad, I'll.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Be like, it's not your father.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Don't do this to me. It just kept getting close.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Not your fault.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Robin Williams is the blueprint for me for a comedic
- 27:39Speaker 2: comedian doing dramatic roles.
- 27:41Speaker 3: He's he's the He's the blueprint.
- 27:44Speaker 2: What about Kevin Harten True Story in true Story or
- 27:49Speaker 2: in uh the one we're the other side the side side.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Kevin was great in both of those.
- 27:56Speaker 1: I feel like we got to throw the honorable mentions
- 27:58Speaker 1: for them. You don't, but True Story is technically a
- 28:03Speaker 1: it's not a movie, but it's a dramatic role. But
- 28:07Speaker 1: Kevin Hart and True Story was.
- 28:09Speaker 2: One best movies to me. Our True Story in the
- 28:13Speaker 2: Upside me too.
- 28:15Speaker 1: As an actor. I was like, and I don't like
- 28:18Speaker 1: I think to me other than those I like him
- 28:21Speaker 1: in Think Like a Man, he was.
- 28:23Speaker 3: He was great.
- 28:24Speaker 1: He was perfectly slotted and Think Like a Man. I
- 28:26Speaker 1: felt like some movies sway too much of his comedic
- 28:30Speaker 1: personality and they go into like zany and stuff unbelievable,
- 28:34Speaker 1: and others like The Lift, had like none of his
- 28:39Speaker 1: comedic personality, but not dramatic enough to be like, oh,
- 28:41Speaker 1: he's not playing that. He's just kind of this weird
- 28:43Speaker 1: in between space. But he was a scene still and
- 28:47Speaker 1: Think Like a Man he was perfect. Same thing for
- 28:49Speaker 1: the old version. He's in one scene and it's just
- 28:52Speaker 1: up there right under Kelly Clarkson. First of all, I
- 28:55Speaker 1: don't understand what you say, so I'm gonna take it
- 28:57Speaker 1: this disrespect.
- 28:58Speaker 3: Washing your mouth. Help me with the same.
- 29:02Speaker 2: You want a nigga, nigga here now go. He thought
- 29:05Speaker 2: he was running a smart tack. That hole exchange is
- 29:09Speaker 2: just brilliant.
- 29:11Speaker 3: I love it. This you may right, this, you may,
- 29:14Speaker 3: I'll come back. Both y'all niggas getting clapped up.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Like I could see. I was like, he gonna be Yeah,
- 29:20Speaker 1: he's gonna be a star. So Kevin Hard. We're gonna
- 29:22Speaker 1: give him an honorable mention. And who's the other one,
- 29:25Speaker 1: said Eddie Murphy. Eddie Murphy, I don't think.
- 29:29Speaker 4: Jim Carrey okaye on the Spotless Mind.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Oh Eternal Sunshine. I didn't like that movie as much
- 29:35Speaker 3: as everybody else, but I respect it.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Dramatic.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Oh snapo woop be Goldburg was.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Was at Goldberg and the color purple?
- 29:47Speaker 1: Ah, man, let's look back at this right, Let's put
- 29:50Speaker 1: the list up, man.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Let's look back all.
- 29:53Speaker 1: Right, Adam Sanders out.
- 29:56Speaker 2: I'll play, we'll take out him out and we'll be
- 29:59Speaker 2: in the up.
- 30:00Speaker 1: He's gotta go in. She's deserved an oscar for that
- 30:02Speaker 1: she did. She you wouldn't even know she was a
- 30:04Speaker 1: comedian ever, She's not one hundred percent. I'm sorry, Adam.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Honorable mention.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Whoopy gotta be on there because that color purple performance
- 30:13Speaker 2: was just perfect.
- 30:15Speaker 1: She was killing. Okay, so we got right now. We
- 30:19Speaker 1: got Robin Williams and Goodwill Hunting, we got Jamie Fox
- 30:22Speaker 1: and Ray, we got Whoopy in color purple. We got
- 30:24Speaker 1: Monique and Precious Honorable mentioned a Second Mountain, Kevin Hart
- 30:29Speaker 1: second Story. Were doing Second Mountain Aaddie Murphy and dream
- 30:34Speaker 1: Girls and Adam Sander and uncutching.
- 30:36Speaker 3: Now whooping Goes.
- 30:37Speaker 1: No, did she win Oscar?
- 30:40Speaker 3: She won tosk for but it was.
- 30:41Speaker 2: A gimme back that she was good and goes.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Don't get me wrong, but Oscar come on.
- 30:50Speaker 1: And Jim Carrey he low key. This is not a
- 30:54Speaker 1: dramatic role. But Jim Carrey and Truman Show is a
- 30:58Speaker 1: masterclass in his ability of acting. It's not as like
- 31:03Speaker 1: when he was in the Mask. I was like, all right,
- 31:06Speaker 1: and I love Jim Carrey, but that Zany was like
- 31:10Speaker 1: it was eyes eyes, I was it was too much
- 31:15Speaker 1: dumb and dumber. Is like my favorite Jim Carrey movie,
- 31:19Speaker 1: Cable Guy is also.
- 31:20Speaker 3: You like Cable Guys more than most people.
- 31:23Speaker 1: No, I love it. You like dumb number.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Yeah, what dumb? Dumb for me? Like silly man.
- 31:32Speaker 1: For me, you don't like you need to get up,
- 31:34Speaker 1: give up, and you always you like serious comment, you
- 31:37Speaker 1: need silly.
- 31:38Speaker 3: I'll say this. I'll say this I am guilty of.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Like, all right, if I feel like you trying to
- 31:44Speaker 2: make me laugh, I'm gonna be like, you're trying too hard.
- 31:48Speaker 2: And for me it felt like Jim Carrey was always
- 31:50Speaker 2: trying too hard. So initially a Ventur I was like, man,
- 31:53Speaker 2: you're doing too much. But then when I went back
- 31:56Speaker 2: to Age Ventura later, I was like, yo, this is funny,
- 31:59Speaker 2: but the mask.
- 32:00Speaker 3: I'll still to this day the mask.
- 32:03Speaker 2: But I recently watched Dumb and Dumber like a month ago,
- 32:09Speaker 2: holds up, and I was just like, all right, this
- 32:12Speaker 2: is this is cool. But because I did a poll,
- 32:14Speaker 2: what y'all like better dumb and dumber or there's something
- 32:17Speaker 2: about Mary and surprisingly dumb and dumber one should be
- 32:22Speaker 2: a surprise. I was like, man, there's something about Mary
- 32:25Speaker 2: is way funnier to me.
- 32:27Speaker 1: No, I love there's something about Mary.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Man, you're forgetting how.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Many funny things happen in Dumb and dumber tonge I
- 32:34Speaker 2: just I just watched it, then you forgot.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Since then that.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Just our pets head off.
- 32:40Speaker 1: They take the bird's head back. You can't tep with
- 32:43Speaker 1: doubles down.
- 32:44Speaker 3: You get hee.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Jim Carry had two gloves on. He said, Man, my
- 32:48Speaker 1: hans are cold. Take this extra pair. He's like, you
- 32:50Speaker 1: have two pair sent it's a winter tar like.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Come on, man, those is minimal last big gumps hung
- 32:58Speaker 2: Come on man seeing beans.
- 33:01Speaker 3: He was masturbating Frank.
- 33:03Speaker 2: There's something there's something about Mary waste no time with
- 33:07Speaker 2: the jokes.
- 33:08Speaker 3: This is in the beginning. I did you give it means? Mother, Frank?
- 33:13Speaker 3: What's going on? Man?
- 33:14Speaker 2: Everybody just coming the fireman in the window. Take a
- 33:18Speaker 2: look at what this numb nuts did.
- 33:21Speaker 3: Holy ship.
- 33:22Speaker 2: It was just like he was masterbating he in the
- 33:26Speaker 2: community yelling?
- 33:27Speaker 3: Was he yelling this?
- 33:29Speaker 1: Keth David was so funny with the nut in her hand.
- 33:33Speaker 2: Yes, And then a plot twists at the end. That's
- 33:37Speaker 2: a comedy. That's a comedy with a great ending.
- 33:40Speaker 1: It is. I love that movie, don't get me wrong.
- 33:44Speaker 1: But Dumb and Dumber is funny. Man, it's funny. But
- 33:48Speaker 1: it was all right now, man, I won't do this podcast.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Take it back.
- 33:53Speaker 2: I wasn't laughing that hard man. But there's something about
- 33:56Speaker 2: Mary is one of the best comedies, fits perfect and
- 34:00Speaker 2: was great. That is his thing. Loki, have you watch
- 34:02Speaker 2: you ain't watched? Uh? Apple Plus TV show that he's
- 34:08Speaker 2: directing executive producing where they have their They got one
- 34:12Speaker 2: personality on the outside and another personality at work.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Patreon, please help me. Ben Steeler ben Stiller directed at
- 34:20Speaker 1: Executi Producers. But he's not in it. Adam, something's in.
- 34:23Speaker 3: It, Adam Driver.
- 34:25Speaker 1: No severance, Oh severance, that's Ben Stiller. Ben Stiller produced
- 34:30Speaker 1: and direct. You need to watch it. Tone, Okay for
- 34:34Speaker 1: a minute, you ain't been listening.
- 34:35Speaker 2: It's been still it's Ben Stiller is just behind just
- 34:38Speaker 2: behind the scenes.
- 34:39Speaker 3: But it's even behind the scenes type of guy for long.
- 34:43Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, all right, so we feel strongly about that.
- 34:48Speaker 1: I don't. I can't see Kevin Hart, Eddie Murphy or
- 34:53Speaker 1: Jim replacing moniques that that performance and precious Oscar I mean.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Yips sparkle, No, I see y'all. No young keep saying it,
- 35:06Speaker 2: but no, nah man.
- 35:09Speaker 1: You're good. Uh. I did like Jim Car turn on
- 35:13Speaker 1: his mind, but it's not. It's not the top four.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Shoot.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Three of the four of these people won Oscars.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and uh I don't care what anybody says. That
- 35:24Speaker 2: ghost Oscar was for the color purple. Yeah, that ghost
- 35:31Speaker 2: Oscar was for the color purple. Nothing about that role
