- 0:10OK, everyone would have heard of this analogy at least once, I'm
- 0:14sure. About the frog in a boiling pot
- 0:17of water. You know this analogy about
- 0:20well, it's it's a metaphor taken from an anecdotal parable about
- 0:24boiling a frog in the parable states that a frog placed in
- 0:28boiling water will immediately try to save itself, but once
- 0:32placed in cool water that is gradually brought to a boil will
- 0:36not notice the heat until it is boiled to death.
- 0:40The analogy is often used to describe abusive relationships
- 0:43and this kind of thing. Anyway, I was thinking about
- 0:46this analogy. This is how I feel the the world
- 0:52in general, but specifically Australia.
- 0:54Let's just behind him what's happening in Australia.
- 0:56This is how I feel like we Australians are just, you know,
- 1:00sitting in that nice cool place and the temperatures slowly
- 1:03getting slowly heating, getting turned up and we're slowly being
- 1:07bought to a boil and no one's really noticing.
- 1:11We're getting boiled to death. No one's noticing.
- 1:14We got all these things happening and we just we keep on
- 1:17making allowances. I see our leadership, whether
- 1:22you look at political leadership or leadership within police,
- 1:26which I just happened to talk about quite a bit.
- 1:30It's very poor. And yet we, we slightly let it,
- 1:34it's decayed over generations and we've, we've just allowed it
- 1:38to happen. We just put up with it.
- 1:40We put up with the corruption that we see in government.
- 1:43We put up with the corruption that we see in, in our law
- 1:46enforcement. We put up with so much.
- 1:51It's just so I think that that analogy of the boiling the frog
- 1:57being boiled is, you know, very apropro to Australia.
- 2:03Why I'm saying all this? So I did an episode in 2021.
- 2:09You can't even get it on YouTube anymore.
- 2:11You'd have to, I'll put up the link, but you can only listen to
- 2:13it in on Spotify. Now, please, if you do listen to
- 2:17it, be gentle, OK? It's back when I, you know, not
- 2:23long first started doing the podcasts and I could only do it
- 2:27on the Spotify podcast app. There was no, it was only all
- 2:31audio. There's no video, nothing like
- 2:33that. And I had the little music
- 2:35playing in the background and that so just, you know, OK, I
- 2:38get it. It's a little corny.
- 2:40It's a little hard to hear some of it.
- 2:41But if you do listen to it, be kind.
- 2:46That's all I'm saying. I know it's not the best, the
- 2:49best production, that's for sure.
- 2:51Anyway, So getting on to this. So 2021 I did this episode and
- 2:55it's called Will electric vehicles mean more government
- 2:58control? Put the link up for so you can
- 3:01listen to it if you want. The whole reason why I was
- 3:04talking about this is in the UK, they wanted to, at that time
- 3:07they were looking at passing it and it's already passed, but
- 3:10they were proposing laws to, to be able to switch off EV home
- 3:16charges during, well, they said it would be during peak hours.
- 3:20You know, if the, if the load got too much for the, for the
- 3:23grid, well then they'd be able to turn it off.
- 3:27The governments would be able to flick a switch and turn off your
- 3:32EV home charger. So if you're building a new
- 3:35home, everything would have to be connected up to the central
- 3:38grid and they would be monitoring your electric
- 3:43electricity usage. But if you were, you know, had
- 3:48your own supply going on, solar power and all that kind of
- 3:51thing, and had your, your battery connected, they would be
- 3:54able to turn it off. And if you were charging your
- 3:56electric vehicle, they'd be able to switch that off too.
- 3:58If there was too much load coming over the grid.
- 4:01And I'm looking at it, reading it going where government
- 4:05control, all I can see, all I could think of is this is a way
- 4:10for government to be able to control the masses in the
- 4:14future. So many people heading towards
- 4:17electric vehicles and the more people that were connected to
- 4:22the centralised grid and the government would be able to
- 4:24monitor and just flip the switch if they decided, you know, there
- 4:29was too much load going on. So hey, you don't, you can't
- 4:33charge your electric vehicles. All I could see is problems and
- 4:36government control. So so anyway, so I did this very
- 4:42corny, very corny episode in 2021, October of 2021.
- 4:48So you can imagine my surprise actually here I'll bring up the
- 4:53so you can just see what the episode looks like.
- 4:56There you go. Will electric vehicles mean more
- 4:59government control? Yes.
- 5:01So that's so that's on Spotify. So anyway, so imagine my
- 5:07surprise when I saw this in reading through this article
- 5:13last night. And I thought, wow, I was
- 5:15talking about this a couple of years ago, saying, wait, this is
- 5:17going to lead us down a bad path because we're just giving over
- 5:21more control to the government. You know, there's all this talk
- 5:25about 15 minute cities, which is obviously what they want to try,
- 5:29and they're trying to direct our civilization into 15 minute
- 5:33cities. If they want everyone to go into
- 5:36electric vehicle use, why do they want this?
- 5:39Because they can control our comings and goings.
- 5:42They can control their movements.
- 5:43Tell us where and when we can go to places.
- 5:46This is what I think will eventually happen.
- 5:49Anyway, let's check out this video.
- 5:51And yeah, I don't think it's any surprise.
- 5:55This is what this is what we've got going on.
- 6:00It might not look like it, but Pippa Buchanan's house is in
- 6:03many ways a modern type of power plant.
- 6:06This is literally the beating heart of the system.
- 6:09A battery is attached to the wall of her garage at Kawarima,
- 6:133 hours South Perth. The battery in turn charged by
- 6:17an array of solar panels on the roof above.
- 6:19Inside the house, the system largely runs everything from the
- 6:23lights in the oven to the fridge and the washing machine.
- 6:26It runs everything, It's not bad.
- 6:27It's exported. We probably we are oversupplied
- 6:31for our current needs. Like we've got a small child,
- 6:34she doesn't use that much energy.
- 6:36Like millions of other Australians, Pippa and her
- 6:39husband took the plunge and invested in solar four years
- 6:43ago. But unlike most others, their
- 6:45arrangement is unusual. They're part of a so called
- 6:48virtual power plant in which an energy company leases them solar
- 6:52panels and a battery in return. There's a catch.
- 6:55When they need to, they can use our battery either as storage or
- 7:00as supplier to the grid or and they can also occasionally turn
- 7:05our solar panels off if they need to if they're.
- 7:08Do you hear what she just said? They can also occasionally turn
- 7:12our solar panels off if there's a need to.
- 7:15That's exactly what you want. Much supply.
- 7:18Energy companies say the circumstances where solar needs
- 7:21to be spilled are rare and households are forewarned and
- 7:25compensated. They say Australia's occasional
- 7:27overabundance of solar needs to be managed and VPPS can help.
- 7:33When you install solar and battery in people's homes, they
- 7:35all individually have a power plant that can provide that
- 7:39exact same service, but they're too small individually.
- 7:43When you put them together, they can add up to something that's
- 7:46quite significant. Coordinating Australia's rapidly
- 7:49growing fleet of solar panels, batteries and other clean tech
- 7:53looms as a key plank and key challenge of the energy
- 7:56transition. Experts say it should be
- 7:58encouraged, particularly where households participate
- 8:01willingly, but they're warning against heavy handedness.
- 8:05Building a network that is oriented around the customer is
- 8:08the issue, and it's really one that government needs to get a
- 8:13solid grip on. Trust is everything in in the
- 8:17energy industry and, and just generally with, with any brand
- 8:19trying to do business with, with customers.
- 8:21For Pippa Buchanan, the sacrifice is worth the rewards.
- 8:25It's a. Real privilege to be able to
- 8:27have solar panels, you know, to, to take advantage of, of the
- 8:31technology, but there's also a responsibility to the the
- 8:35greater health of the grid. Through adaptation comes
- 8:39resilience. OK, So what do you think of that
- 8:41video? Do do you think it's a good
- 8:43thing though? Look, I'm, I'm not against solar
- 8:45panels and solar power, not against the batteries.
- 8:48I think it's a fantastic idea. And I think if you can get off
- 8:53the grid, my personal choice would be to be completely off
- 8:56grid. That's my personal choice.
- 8:59I, I do, I do have some concerns.
- 9:03You know, these did you hear the conversation, the, the, the
- 9:06narrative there, the talk? Well, you know, it's all, it's
- 9:08all about trust. The government needs to get a
- 9:10handle on this, but you know, trust between the customer and
- 9:17the and the electricity supplier, you're giving them the
- 9:23ability to shut down, shut down your power and, and trusting
- 9:30that they're going to do the right thing.
- 9:32And supposedly, supposedly they have to give you notice when
- 9:36they're going to do these things.
- 9:37So except for obviously when there's an emergency, when, you
- 9:41know, government can declare an emergency and so, well, we just
- 9:45have to do this or we'll give you notice, right?
- 9:48It'll be about 5 minutes notice. But the fact that we're called
- 9:53upon to trust the government, to trust these these entities who
- 9:58have control over our power and can and, you know, supposedly
- 10:04allowed to just be able to switch it off.
- 10:07But it's all about trust. I've got no trust.
- 10:09What I think, what I believe, where I believe this will
- 10:14eventually take us. I think the government's.
- 10:20And this isn't just happening in Australia, This is happening
- 10:23globally. OK, There might be a little bit
- 10:25of a, a pause on this because of what's happened in America.
- 10:29And you know, they've got the Republicans in at the moment and
- 10:32there's a bit more common sense flowing.
- 10:36We are being thrust down this line of clean energy.
- 10:43But the real reason why government is wanting us to go
- 10:47down there is because they want to gain control.
- 10:51They want to be able to push us down there so they can in the
- 10:54long run, switch us off, switch the power off.
- 10:58Hey, no, no, we don't want you out there.
- 11:00We don't want you doing other things.
- 11:02We don't want you. We want to be able to control
- 11:04because it'll be for the sake of the environment.
- 11:07Well, no, no, these people aren't allowed to use their
- 11:09vehicles today. In the long run, this is taking
- 11:13us down towards what will happen during the, as I said, I'm a
- 11:16Christian, down towards what will happen in the tribulation
- 11:19period where you cannot buy or sell, you can't buy or sell, or
- 11:22you do want to buy or sell. Well, we're also going to
- 11:26control whether you can actually leave your home.
- 11:29This is where we're going. This is what climate activists
- 11:32want. They want to be able to control.
- 11:34It's all good for them to fly around the country, fly around
- 11:37the world and tell everyone else what they need to do and how
- 11:40they can't, you know, get out in their cars and drive around
- 11:44while they get out in their multi $1,000,000 jets and fly
- 11:48around everywhere and, you know, fly it back to their massive
- 11:51mansions and do whatever they want.
- 11:53But you and I, they need to control us.
- 11:57They need to control us. This has been coming along for
- 12:00years and years. As I said, I did that episode in
- 12:04October 2021. It came into the UK and it's
- 12:09being pushed into the back door in Australia.
- 12:12The more control they have, the more they'll be able to dictate
- 12:16what it is that we can and cannot do in our private lives.
- 12:21Nothing will be private anymore and we're just going to see more
- 12:25government control. We're going to see more heavy
- 12:28handedness from police. The reason why I want to talk
- 12:35about this today and the reason why I want to talk about that in
- 12:372021 is you can see this is coming.
- 12:42You can see, I think if we all, you know, wake up and get out of
- 12:47the, the boiling water that's slowly getting turned up, you
- 12:51can see what is coming down the track.
- 12:54You can, you can see the danger that is coming ahead.
- 12:57And we need to be warning each other.
- 12:59We need to be talking about it. We need to be able to make these
- 13:02decisions ourselves and not just, you know, not just have
- 13:06legislation coming in the back door that we don't even know
- 13:09about it. And as we see here in Australia,
- 13:12they constantly say, oh, we're going to, we're going to pass
- 13:15this legislation. Hey, don't look into it too
- 13:17heavily. Don't, don't analyse it too
- 13:20much. We don't want to see all the
- 13:22detail. But the devil is always in the
- 13:24detail. So we need to scrutinise all
- 13:28legislation. We need to wake up.
- 13:31Don't be like the frog being slowly boiled in the water.
- 13:37We need to wake up and see the dangers that are coming towards
- 13:42us. Our government does not have our
- 13:46best interests at heart. This will not be good if you go
- 13:51and give control to these, to these entities, to the
- 13:55government so they can just flick the switch and tell you,
- 13:57oh, sorry, we've just declared an emergency.
- 14:00So we've just had to flick your power off and you can't use,
- 14:04we're going to take the energy and use it for ourselves.
- 14:07You can't use it. This is not good.
- 14:10We need to wake up Australia. This is all my opinion.
- 14:14I'm Jay Fallon, please like and share, check out my music on
