Speaker 9: Good morning, I'm here.
3:55
Speaker 6: Morgan is here as well.
3:57
Speaker 7: Good morning, Hannah morning.
3:59
Speaker 6: Let's good you are adopt me. Please put of the
4:01
Speaker 6: Week has always picture posted at Dave Allen Radio on
4:04
Speaker 6: Facebook and The Day Valence Show on Twitter x whatever
4:06
Speaker 6: you call it. Now tell us all about Champagne, Hannah.
4:11
Speaker 9: All right, Well, Champagne is a very handsome nail dog.
4:16
Speaker 9: He is fixed already, so he's ready to go home.
4:20
Speaker 9: He's ready to be in a yard playing around. He
4:24
Speaker 9: is a little bit bashful and you very first to
4:26
Speaker 9: meet him, but he warms up rather quickly. He's a
4:31
Speaker 9: foster candidate as well, So if you wanted to foster
4:34
Speaker 9: and see how it goes for a couple of days
4:36
Speaker 9: and then adopt, or maybe even if you're just not
4:39
Speaker 9: ready for that commitment and you just want to get
4:40
Speaker 9: him out of the shelter for a little bit, he
4:42
Speaker 9: is a foster candidate, so you could do that. He
4:46
Speaker 9: does like other dogs. He prefers playful dog because he
4:49
Speaker 9: is very playful himself. He's very rough, playful dog. So
4:54
Speaker 9: you would want to make sure that you know your
4:56
Speaker 9: dog is okay with another dog that is more of
4:59
Speaker 9: like a mouthy, rough player. But he's very very good.
5:03
Speaker 9: He is what we consider a weekend adventure because he
5:08
Speaker 9: likes to He loves to be out on the leash.
5:11
Speaker 9: He loves to be just out and about doing things.
5:13
Speaker 9: He really likes being out in the play yards. So
5:15
Speaker 9: I'm sure he would benefit from someone who maybe had
5:19
Speaker 9: a little bit of a yard to give him so
5:21
Speaker 9: he can run around and play in the yard. I
5:24
Speaker 9: do know that he likes toys as well, so I mean,
5:27
Speaker 9: if you're willing to throw a ball for a while,
5:29
Speaker 9: he'll play with you. He is fixed already and during
5:34
Speaker 9: Bastile this week we are doing ten dollars adoptions for
5:40
Speaker 9: bis will and see the shelter. But if they are
5:42
Speaker 9: staymotered already, then they are zero. So where he is
5:46
Speaker 9: already fixed, he would be zero and you could take
5:48
Speaker 9: him home, and like I said, you could foster, or
5:52
Speaker 9: you could just straight up adopt him. He's a very
5:55
Speaker 9: very good boy. He's very very sweet. He loves to
5:58
Speaker 9: play in the water a pool out in the playard,
6:02
Speaker 9: like a dog bone shaped pool, and he absolutely loves
6:05
Speaker 9: being that And if he's not in that, and if
6:08
Speaker 9: the hose is running, then he's wanting to play in
6:10
Speaker 9: the water with the hose. So he definitely is a
6:12
Speaker 9: water dog for somebody.
6:14
Speaker 7: I love this.
6:15
Speaker 8: He has almost like a dating profile. His picture is
6:17
Speaker 8: so cute. He looks like he's actually smiling. He's in
6:20
Speaker 8: the water, and I feel like you said he's a
6:23
Speaker 8: weakened adventurer. I feel like his dating profile would say
6:25
Speaker 8: has passport, will travel.
6:28
Speaker 7: That's a picture Champagne.
6:30
Speaker 8: He likes the finer things in life, including pools.
6:33
Speaker 6: Water hose bottles.
6:35
Speaker 7: Yeah, water hoses. String him the hose. He's so cute.
6:38
Speaker 6: What kind of dog is he?
6:39
Speaker 9: Do you?
6:40
Speaker 6: Guys? I mean, I know, Morgan, you're you're more of
6:42
Speaker 6: a dog person than what I am. And any guess
6:44
Speaker 6: or Hannah, you want to weigh in on what kind
6:46
Speaker 6: of dog you think Champagne is.
6:48
Speaker 9: Gosh, I shouldn't tell you. I definitely think just by
6:52
Speaker 9: like seeing him in person and stuff and his face
6:55
Speaker 9: shape that he is possible he could have like pity
6:58
Speaker 9: or lab or something. He's got those years like a
7:01
Speaker 9: like reminds me of a little bit like a pity,
7:04
Speaker 9: But you know. It's I've been so wrong so many
7:07
Speaker 9: times when people go and dnasas them. So I think
7:10
Speaker 9: it would be really interesting to know what he is.
7:13
Speaker 8: Yeah, he looks like a West Virginia champagne dog. He's
7:15
Speaker 8: not necessarily a brown dog. He's a champagne dog. That's
7:18
Speaker 8: what he looks like to me. But I agree, I
7:19
Speaker 8: think there's some pity in there. He just looks like
7:21
Speaker 8: a happy boy who wants some room to play, a
7:24
Speaker 8: family to play with, and to have a great time.
7:27
Speaker 9: Yes, and he is around eighty nine pounds, so he's
7:30
Speaker 9: a bigger boy, but.
7:32
Speaker 6: He's pretty much he's pretty much stopped growing, I mean
7:35
Speaker 6: at this point, right yeah, other than other than getting
7:38
Speaker 6: fight or like look like myself and they other than that, right.
7:42
Speaker 2: Right.
7:43
Speaker 8: Yeah.
7:43
Speaker 9: So he's about to be three years old, so he's
7:46
Speaker 9: fully grown and like you said, he might fill out
7:49
Speaker 9: more depending on how you feed him. But he's he's gonna.
7:52
Speaker 6: Get What about somebody actually in the building asked me,
7:55
Speaker 6: do we know how he is with cats?
7:58
Speaker 9: No, we do not. I always it's just advised caution
8:01
Speaker 9: with that. Now, we do have an animal behaviorist on
8:03
Speaker 9: site who can tell you if she thinks that he
8:06
Speaker 9: has more of a prey drive or not. But with
8:11
Speaker 9: that being said, even if we think that they have
8:13
Speaker 9: more a prey drive, we've still seen some of them
8:15
Speaker 9: that have a very high pray drive but go home
8:17
Speaker 9: and live perfectly with cats. So it's really just a
8:22
Speaker 9: correct introduction for you to try on at home.
8:26
Speaker 6: Tell us about and we'll go back to Champagne here
8:28
Speaker 6: in a moment. Tell us about this borrow a Buddy
8:30
Speaker 6: program that you've got going on.
8:33
Speaker 9: Yeah, so we do have the borrow a buddy we
8:36
Speaker 9: are calling it. It's it's kind of you could do
8:40
Speaker 9: like a day out with him, or you could do
8:43
Speaker 9: a foster for a while, but it's it's a borrow
8:45
Speaker 9: a buddy of program where pretty much if you're not
8:48
Speaker 9: ready to adopt or it's kind of it's really just
8:51
Speaker 9: kind of like fostering. However, you don't have to commit
8:54
Speaker 9: to keeping them overnight if you don't want to. You
8:56
Speaker 9: can also just take them out for a day or
8:59
Speaker 9: go to a park or for a puppetino or car
9:02
Speaker 9: ride just to get them out of the shelter for
9:04
Speaker 9: a little bit.
9:04
Speaker 8: I think it's great here because you get to learn
9:06
Speaker 8: more about the dogs. I saw the adventure with Granny
9:09
Speaker 8: Smith that she took yesterday or the day before, I think, and.
9:13
Speaker 7: It was just so sweet.
9:14
Speaker 8: They get a day out, they get toys and pop
9:16
Speaker 8: cups and walks and all the fun things, a little
9:18
Speaker 8: bit of cuddles, and you guys get to learn a
9:20
Speaker 8: little bit more about the dog's behavior personality so you
9:23
Speaker 8: can share that with with future families. What an amazing
9:26
Speaker 8: idea and what a great way to get the dogs
9:28
Speaker 8: out of the shelter and having a great day.
9:31
Speaker 9: Yeah, it's definitely something we've enjoyed and a lot of
9:34
Speaker 9: people have been doing. Actually, we've gotten a lot of
9:36
Speaker 9: them to go out on the borrow a Buddy program,
9:40
Speaker 9: and like you said, Granny Smith is a great example
9:42
Speaker 9: of that. She gets the car ride out, she got
9:45
Speaker 9: a puppetino. I think they took her to a pet
9:48
Speaker 9: store and got her a toy, and she got to
9:51
Speaker 9: walk on the boulevard. So that's an all around great
9:53
Speaker 9: day for a dog.
9:54
Speaker 8: It is, And you probably find some great foster failures,
9:57
Speaker 8: which I am one of.
9:59
Speaker 7: I'm a foster failing.
10:00
Speaker 8: Your Stella was just supposed to come home with us
10:02
Speaker 8: for a few days at Thanksgiving and well now it's
10:04
Speaker 8: seven years later, we're still looking.
10:07
Speaker 6: For seven hours turned into seven years. Yes, yes, And
10:12
Speaker 6: any of you folks who are also looking for some
10:13
Speaker 6: help up there doing some hiring, is that right?
10:16
Speaker 9: Yes, we are doing some hiring. I believe we are
10:19
Speaker 9: hiring for an adoption counselor, which is someone who is
10:24
Speaker 9: more so at the front of the building where you
10:26
Speaker 9: are helping them go through the adoption process after they've
10:29
Speaker 9: already found who they're looking for. And we're also hiring
10:33
Speaker 9: for animal care attendant, so helping and clean some of
10:37
Speaker 9: the kennels and puppy rooms stuff like that. And then
10:42
Speaker 9: I believe maybe also admission so helping the animals when
10:45
Speaker 9: they come into the shelter from a humane officer or
10:49
Speaker 9: a member of the public or something like that.
10:52
Speaker 6: And you've kind of referenced this earlier, and I want
10:54
Speaker 6: you to follow up on that. This Abyssal Pet Foundation
10:57
Speaker 6: empty the shelters and this is something that the Bissle
11:01
Speaker 6: Company does every year nationwide and that's still going on
11:03
Speaker 6: for a little while.
11:04
Speaker 4: Is that right?
11:06
Speaker 9: Yes, So it's Thistle Pet Foundation and Kathy Bissel. They
11:11
Speaker 9: basically sponsor a portion of the adoption fee, and then
11:16
Speaker 9: there's a portion of it left. So as this week
11:19
Speaker 9: we are doing the ten dollars adoption fee and then
11:22
Speaker 9: if they are already six, they are going home at
11:25
Speaker 9: zero dollars. So that does include their say neuter, their vaccines,
11:29
Speaker 9: their dew warmer, please take medicine, and then coupon's the
11:32
Speaker 9: pet crow as well. So it's definitely worth it.
11:35
Speaker 6: I got a text here for you, Hannah. Does the
11:37
Speaker 6: program apply to cats and kittens? It seems like every
11:40
Speaker 6: conversation promotion is about dogs.
11:44
Speaker 9: For the Borrow Buddy program, we spe typically don't.
11:48
Speaker 6: I don't know what they meant and if they want
11:50
Speaker 6: to text back and clarify that, I don't know if
11:52
Speaker 6: they meant that program or the bistle I mean, the
11:55
Speaker 6: thing about cats is is you know, it's it's all
11:58
Speaker 6: in all animals are different. You guys know that, but
12:00
Speaker 6: it is kind of difficult. Cats just don't. They don't
12:03
Speaker 6: think like dogs, do you know, as far as going
12:05
Speaker 6: into another.
12:05
Speaker 7: Hole in their daily activity.
12:08
Speaker 6: Yeah, So I don't know which program they're talking about,
12:10
Speaker 6: but let's I'm going to assume maybe they're talking about
12:13
Speaker 6: the the the Bissele program. So is that part of
12:17
Speaker 6: this is what our cat's part of that as well.
12:19
Speaker 9: Yes, so it's adult cats, kittens, puppies and dogs, so
12:22
Speaker 9: it's everybody in.
12:23
Speaker 6: The shelter right now, Okay, it Actually they just text
12:26
Speaker 6: it back and said no, they meant the buddy with
12:27
Speaker 6: the borrow buddy program, and again it was it would
12:30
Speaker 6: be very I mean, I understand it, and again I'm
12:32
Speaker 6: a cat person. I would understand exactly what the texture
12:34
Speaker 6: is saying, but it would be difficult to do that
12:36
Speaker 6: with most cats, not all. Some cats are you know, cat,
12:39
Speaker 6: Every cat is different. They're not like dogs, and so
12:42
Speaker 6: I think it might be difficult to do that with cats.
12:44
Speaker 6: Would you agree with that, Hannah?
12:46
Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, cats are their stress is a little bit
12:49
Speaker 9: different than dogs. Dogs enjoy getting out and doing different things.
12:52
Speaker 9: They've got a lot of energy, most dogs at least,
12:56
Speaker 9: and then cats they are a little bit more freaked
12:58
Speaker 9: out when they go into new area. So it's definitely
13:01
Speaker 9: harder for them to do a foster slash burrow a
13:04
Speaker 9: buddy program, unless you know it's something that's like foster to.
13:08
Speaker 6: A doct right, yeah, exactly. All right. I'll tell you
13:11
Speaker 6: a quick story before we let you go. Something happened
13:13
Speaker 6: to my wife and I This was going back, you know,
13:15
Speaker 6: a long time ago. My wife and I were going
13:17
Speaker 6: to go on vacation and we had one cat. This
13:19
Speaker 6: was the first cat we had ever had together. I'd
13:22
Speaker 6: had cats growing up. Most of my cats were outdoor cats.
13:24
Speaker 6: Our cat was a complete outdoor I mean, I'm sorry,
13:26
Speaker 6: an indoor cat. And so my wife and I are
13:28
Speaker 6: going to go out of stayed on vacation. So I
13:30
Speaker 6: got the bright idea said, well, we'll just take our
13:32
Speaker 6: cat to my mother's house and my mother can keep
13:36
Speaker 6: the cat, not knowing that that wasn't a thing that
13:39
Speaker 6: you do with cats, and so we put the cat
13:41
Speaker 6: in the carrier, took the litter box and everything to
13:43
Speaker 6: my mother's. It was the worst experience ever. The cat
13:46
Speaker 6: freaked out being in another house. Yeah, it was. It
13:50
Speaker 6: was not good. So at least and again, all animals
13:52
Speaker 6: are different, and Morgan, you guys know that, but I
13:55
Speaker 6: think that was probably not something that's recommended. They don't
13:58
Speaker 6: like when you screw with their routine.
14:00
Speaker 7: Yeah, so traumatic for the kiddie.
14:02
Speaker 6: And an hour later we were back at the house.
14:04
Speaker 7: Oh my gosh.
14:05
Speaker 8: Well, I'm not a cat person, but I inherited a
14:07
Speaker 8: cat when I married my husband who he had bottle fed,
14:10
Speaker 8: and this cat lived to be twenty three years old.
14:12
Speaker 6: I think it was crazy.
14:13
Speaker 8: Twenty three years old, this cat. This cat, I swear
14:19
Speaker 8: she would disappear for a few days and I would
14:21
Speaker 8: start to freak out because my husband was very connected
14:24
Speaker 8: to this cat, and I would think she's gone off.
14:25
Speaker 8: You know, they like to have their privacy at end
14:27
Speaker 8: of life. I'm like, she's gone off some I'm trying
14:29
Speaker 8: to console bin. Three days later, she would kick that
14:32
Speaker 8: door open, come in, like she just got nine more lives.
14:35
Speaker 7: This cat. I swear we'll go out. She would Was she.
14:38
Speaker 6: Going away to a spot or something?
14:40
Speaker 8: Honestly, she was like dancing naked under the full moonlight.
14:43
Speaker 7: She was drinking the blood of other cats. I don't
14:46
Speaker 7: know she was.
14:48
Speaker 8: She was truly a legend. But twenty three years Wow,
14:52

19:23
Speaker 6: My mama, Jim. This is the next to last Live
19:27
Speaker 6: on the Left this week.
19:29
Speaker 3: This is season twenty. This is week number nine. Next
19:31
Speaker 3: week is Multifest not considered a Live on the Levee,
19:35
Speaker 3: and then we'll have one more on August to ninth.
19:37
Speaker 3: That'll be a big night. It's back to school, lots
19:39
Speaker 3: of kiddo's down there. UC night, the West Virginia State
19:43
Speaker 3: University Night should be a big night. The final one
19:45
Speaker 3: might be fireworks. I gotta confirm that. But tonight tonight
19:49
Speaker 3: we have an all West Virginia theme going on at
19:52
Speaker 3: six thirty down and hadad Riverfront Parka taking center stage
19:56
Speaker 3: on the show, and bomb stage will be Grace cam
20:00
Speaker 3: gracing the stage. Grace Campbell. She hails from West Virginia.
20:04
Speaker 3: She has a really unique, charming voice. She's a brilliant
20:09
Speaker 3: songwriter from what I understand. So she may play a
20:11
Speaker 3: few covers, but I'm sure she'll play a couple of
20:14
Speaker 3: her own tunes. She'll play for about sixty minutes or
20:18
Speaker 3: so till seven thirty, would take a little break. We
20:20
Speaker 3: think all the sponsors, We let the charity say a
20:23
Speaker 3: few words. Of course, the charities. We do this charity
20:26
Speaker 3: thing every Friday night. The levy is great fun for
20:28
Speaker 3: a great cause, and we help those charities and then
20:31
Speaker 3: at seven forty five for two forty five minute sets.
20:34
Speaker 3: I love the description of this band that I know,
20:36
Speaker 3: Matt Mullins. I don't know if I know the Bringdowns,
20:38
Speaker 3: but Matt Mullins and the Bringdowns are ay alternative dad
20:43
Speaker 3: rock band. Y'all alternative dad rock band. I love alternate alternative.
20:48
Speaker 3: And it's a dad rock band out of Beckley and
20:51
Speaker 3: Matt Mullins. And they're great. There's about four or five
20:53
Speaker 3: guys and they seem to really like each other and
20:55
Speaker 3: they really feel like they have found themselves with this band.
20:59
Speaker 3: They have that unique sound and they synchronize and harmonize together.
21:02
Speaker 3: They play a few covers. I think they play a
21:04
Speaker 3: couple of their own tunes as well. They're just going
21:07
Speaker 3: to be extremely entertaining. And as I say every Friday,
21:11
Speaker 3: I'm a broken record. But folks, if you haven't heard
21:14
Speaker 3: these folks, don't think they don't think that they're not
21:16
Speaker 3: very good. Every band that we've had at the Live
21:19
Speaker 3: Levee this summer has been amazingly gifted and talented and entertaining.
21:24
Speaker 3: And last week was no different, the week before that,
21:26
Speaker 3: and tonight will be no different as well. If for
21:30
Speaker 3: no other reason, come down, listen to a little bit
21:32
Speaker 3: of music, but enjoy some of the most delicious food
21:34
Speaker 3: on the boulevard. We've got like fifteen twenty food trucks
21:37
Speaker 3: down there, some great dessert trucks, and get a spirited
21:40
Speaker 3: beverager two stay hydrated. Speaking of hydration and spirited beverages.
21:45
Speaker 3: The weather, I think your sister station over here, your
21:48
Speaker 3: buddy Steve Bishop, he's trying the jinxes. We've had great
21:51
Speaker 3: weather all summer, no rain outs whatsoever. Tonight's going to
21:54
Speaker 3: be picture perfect, a little bit warm, but no humidity,
21:57
Speaker 3: nice breeze off the Canal River. It's going to be
22:00
Speaker 3: great weather wise tonight, so we hope to see a
22:02
Speaker 3: lot of boats on the Kanal River. We hope to
22:04
Speaker 3: see lots of bicycles down there, lots of cars parked
22:07
Speaker 3: in the garage all over town. We want to see
22:09
Speaker 3: town buzzing. Get down there to have that riverfront park
22:12
Speaker 3: six thirty to nine thirty, and it should be, could be,
22:15
Speaker 3: the could be. We could have the makings of an
22:17
Speaker 3: epic night weather wise, and just a nice crowd. I
22:20
Speaker 3: think for a couple of weeks they've been good crowds,
22:23
Speaker 3: and I think we may have we may have had
22:25
Speaker 3: a little for gotta hangover. I think the hangover should
22:27
Speaker 3: be out of our system now and it's time to
22:29
Speaker 3: replenish and get back. Get down there and enjoy some
22:32
Speaker 3: live music and a bike deat and and a beverage,
22:35
Speaker 3: enjoyed the fellowship of the evening with your neighbors. There's
22:37
Speaker 3: going to be lots of folks, as always, from out
22:39
Speaker 3: of town, out of state. I know we have some
22:41
Speaker 3: guests at the Airbnb right now from the Netherlands who
22:44
Speaker 3: will be there tonight. Like when you and I go
22:47
Speaker 3: over to the Ireland, you know, for a week. They're
22:49
Speaker 3: in America traveling and they're at the Airbnb right now,
22:54
Speaker 3: and I said something about the Levey. Oh no, we've
22:56
Speaker 3: already we researched that we're going to be there tomorrow night.
22:58
Speaker 3: I said, I'll give you.
22:59
Speaker 4: A shout out there, like exciting.
23:01
Speaker 3: Really it was. It was really pretty cool. And five
23:04
Speaker 3: of my cousins are coming down from willing tonight, just
23:06
Speaker 3: driving down for the levee and literally driving home after
23:08
Speaker 3: it's over, not even spending the night. So it should
23:10
Speaker 3: be a great night to come down to the Levey.
23:13
Speaker 3: Lots of folks from out of town, out of state,
23:14
Speaker 3: out of country. We've gone international.
23:16
Speaker 8: Now we've gone international. We've made a big well Jim.
23:18
Speaker 8: I ran into Matt Mullins last night.
23:20
Speaker 3: Okay, he's in town.
23:21
Speaker 8: He brought his girls, his girls basketball team. He brought
23:24
Speaker 8: them to the Empower Her event. They participated in the panel.
23:29
Speaker 8: Matt is such a wonderful human being. And I'll tell
23:31
Speaker 8: you the excitement he has to be headlining the levee.
23:35
Speaker 3: He's losing, he's losing his cookies.
23:36
Speaker 2: I know.
23:37
Speaker 7: Yes, it was so it.
23:38
Speaker 3: Was a genuine he was so.
23:39
Speaker 8: Authentically authentic or so genuine. He's so passionate about what
23:42
Speaker 8: he does. And I'll tell you what, He's just so
23:44
Speaker 8: much fun. So if you haven't seen Matt Mullins and
23:46
Speaker 8: the breakdown, his little bare feet running around up there
23:49
Speaker 8: on stage, get down there and see it.
23:50
Speaker 7: Do yourself a favor.
23:51
Speaker 3: If you would have known, you would have said something
23:53
Speaker 3: about y'all turn up to Dad Rocks band.
23:55
Speaker 7: I know, I love that I did not so.
23:58
Speaker 6: Your guests from the Netherlands. Is the alternative scene really
24:01
Speaker 6: big in the Netherlands?
24:02
Speaker 3: We we will find out tonight when I ask him.
24:06
Speaker 6: With you, Jim, what's that? Should have brought him with you?
24:07
Speaker 3: I should have brought him with me, and I don't.
24:09
Speaker 6: Think we've had any on our show in the past.
24:13
Speaker 3: On the deck there they love overlooking the city of Charleston,
24:16
Speaker 3: looking down here at the studio, and I should have said, hey,
24:18
Speaker 3: come on with me, y'all.
24:19
Speaker 7: Y'all need to.
24:22
Speaker 3: Have a nice little twang about him. It's a different
24:23
Speaker 3: twang than ours.
24:26
Speaker 6: So again, no live on the levee next week because
24:29
Speaker 6: next week is Multifest. Will be talking about that and
24:30
Speaker 6: then wrap up for good for the summer the week
24:34
Speaker 6: after that. But tonight, get on down and check out
24:37
Speaker 6: Matt Mullins and to bring downs along with Grace Campbell
24:40
Speaker 6: and his Jim. I don't know who it is that
24:42
Speaker 6: you bribe with the weather. God's fingers crossed, but it
24:45
Speaker 6: seems like even going back the last couple of years
24:48
Speaker 6: that you've had very jinks.
24:49
Speaker 3: Either fortunate. There was a there was a couple of
24:53
Speaker 3: years back, three or four years back it was really
24:55
Speaker 3: iffy almost every Friday. We got most of them in,
24:59
Speaker 3: but we had the the drops. We had to wait
25:01
Speaker 3: for a minute. It was black and we thought it
25:04
Speaker 3: might rain, and it was just this year we haven't
25:08
Speaker 3: had really a threat. For the most part. It's been wonderful,
25:11
Speaker 3: warm every week and again tonight warm. But the amenity
25:15
Speaker 3: starting to drop is the I know we still have
25:17
Speaker 3: two more months of summer, but it feels August gets here,
25:20
Speaker 3: then it starts to be coming back to school in
25:22
Speaker 3: football season, starts to feel like fall. You can smell
25:24
Speaker 3: some fall in the morning. I could this morning just
25:27
Speaker 3: a little bit. The humanity's dropping tonight. But we've been
25:29
Speaker 3: very fortunate. It's been a great, great boat season. It's
25:32
Speaker 3: been a great season with the folks coming down. It's
25:37
Speaker 3: been a wonderful season with the elexity of that a
25:40
Speaker 3: word of the of the music. We've had really great
25:44
Speaker 3: music of all different types. So the genres have been
25:48
Speaker 3: all over the board and people are like, I've never
25:50
Speaker 3: heard of them. I'm like, I haven't either, But I'm
25:53
Speaker 3: here to tell you. The band selection committee for the Levee,
25:56
Speaker 3: they have well over two hundred and fifty to two
25:58
Speaker 3: hundred and eighty bands to choose. They know what they're doing.
26:01
Speaker 3: They're selecting folks who are really talented and I've said
26:04
Speaker 3: it before. They're gifted, and they're really neat to listen to,
26:09
Speaker 3: and they're just they're so good. And Matt will be
26:12
Speaker 3: no different, Grace Campbell will be no different. Come down.
26:15
Speaker 3: I haven't had a chance to thank our sponsors yet.
26:17
Speaker 3: Of course it's Moses Auto Group, so we thank Moses
26:19
Speaker 3: all often. But it's brought to you by the City
26:21
Speaker 3: of Charleston. I want to thank Brewer and Company, along
26:24
Speaker 3: with lou Wendell Marine the health Plan. We have a
26:28
Speaker 3: WHSTV eight night tonight, and of course this station right here,
26:31
Speaker 3: Talk Radio fifty eight and your morning show, and I
26:34
Speaker 3: know the afternoon show. This whole station does a good
26:36
Speaker 3: job promoting all the good I know. After I get done,
26:39
Speaker 3: I think Jk's out there waiting in the wing. I
26:41
Speaker 3: just want to put a quick plug in. I'll let
26:42
Speaker 3: you talk to JK. But tomorrow Retrofest music almost all
26:46
Speaker 3: day at the Slack Plaza from like what it was
26:48
Speaker 3: at More eleven o'clock. Jk'll give you the details, but
26:52
Speaker 3: there's so much to that's just music. And I've got
26:55
Speaker 3: I've looked at my calendar for tomorrow. I'm going to
26:57
Speaker 3: like five or six places. I'm like on a side
27:00
Speaker 3: or did July twenty seven again, I'm gonna say this
27:03
Speaker 3: to them out you can't find anything to do in
27:04
Speaker 3: this community. It's your own dagon fault. It's on you,
27:08
Speaker 3: not me. We're doing the best we can providing things
27:11
Speaker 3: and we do.
27:11
Speaker 6: I got Jim, I got a texture for you that
27:13
Speaker 6: says great doctor hook reference.
27:15
Speaker 4: Oh how about that?
27:16
Speaker 6: Now that one came to my personal phone. That's from
27:18
Speaker 6: my good buddy Jeff Campbell. You know jeffe radio guy

27:31
Speaker 4: You like that very good? There you go.
27:33
Speaker 3: Well, I aim to please all the listeners, especially the

31:51
Speaker 8: Dave was talking about how amazing your voice is, and
31:53
Speaker 8: I just hear it now and it is.
31:54
Speaker 7: It's smooth like Betta.
31:55
Speaker 4: I never said his voice was amazing. I can never

Speaker 6: I did say, though, those of us that have done

32:06
Speaker 6: the best voice in the world. When I hear people
32:07
Speaker 6: like you, I'm like, gosh, I wish I had that voice.
32:10
Speaker 6: I simply don't have it. And maybe when I hit
32:12
Speaker 6: puberty I'll get it.
32:15
Speaker 7: There's still time, so retro.
32:18
Speaker 6: Fest three, Yes back, What is Retro Tomorrow.
32:20
Speaker 16: It's a celebration of retro music and retro stuff, Retro
32:24
Speaker 16: Thangs starting tomorrow at City Center at Slack Plaza at
32:28
Speaker 16: eleven am until about nine thirty. We've got live music
32:31
Speaker 16: entertainers like Joey Stepp, comedy magician, also an aerialist called
32:36
Speaker 16: Andy de Boord. I'll be spending tunes early in between
32:40
Speaker 16: the band breaks. And we've got tons of stuff, tons
32:42
Speaker 16: of stuff to give away this year, well over one
32:45
Speaker 16: thousand dollars worth of gift certificates to local restaurants and such,
32:49
Speaker 16: and non stop music man and beautiful weather to tomorrow,
32:53
Speaker 16: low humidity, very little chance of rank. It's gonna be hot,
32:57
Speaker 16: but we're gonna have plenty of hydration spots there.
33:00
Speaker 4: So this is all It's fight claws, Yes, that's correct.
33:03
Speaker 16: All within the footprint of a city Center at Slack Plaza,
33:06
Speaker 16: right and year three.
33:07
Speaker 6: Yes, I remember when you first met with us, like
33:10
Speaker 6: a couple of years ago, year one, and you were
33:13
Speaker 6: planning it, and I thought, well, this is really really
33:16
Speaker 6: a cool event because you know, there's so many different
33:19
Speaker 6: things we talked about with Straw and that go on
33:21
Speaker 6: in Charleston and the surrounding areas. But something like this
33:23
Speaker 6: that celebrates the retro aspect the field the field. So
33:28
Speaker 6: when you say retro, you know, retro means different things
33:31
Speaker 6: to different people, depending on where you are in life.
33:34
Speaker 6: What give me an example of some of the things
33:36
Speaker 6: or some of the music or whatever that will be
33:38
Speaker 6: featured tomorrow. Well, I'm going to try to play off
33:40
Speaker 6: of the bands they do, mostly classic rock from the seventies, eighties,
33:44
Speaker 6: and the nineties, and I'm going to try to slip
33:46
Speaker 6: in some R and B and some other classic hits
33:50
Speaker 6: too from that period those decades.
33:52
Speaker 8: I've seen some amazing musicians on your line of including
33:55
Speaker 8: some really great female rockers, which I'm so excited to
33:58
Speaker 8: see them represented. What a great day, Like you said,
34:01
Speaker 8: it starts at ten am, right, eleven am starts at
34:04
Speaker 8: eleven am. A great way for families to come out
34:06
Speaker 8: to you and start introducing their kids to some classic
34:09
Speaker 8: rock and I love that.
34:11
Speaker 16: And a tree, yes, free of charge, absolutely free, non ticketed.
34:15
Speaker 8: Wonderful. What other vendors will you have there? Is there
34:18
Speaker 8: going to be food, beverages, things like that for.
34:20
Speaker 16: Food and plenty of ice, cold beer, also cold water,
34:24
Speaker 16: for those who want to rehydrate after they have a
34:26
Speaker 16: couple of a barley sodas, I like to call them
34:29
Speaker 16: and let.
34:30
Speaker 6: Me tell you something. All beer is is cereal in
34:33
Speaker 6: a can. If you look a look at the ingredients
34:36
Speaker 6: right wheat barley, you're drinking total. That's basically that's all
34:41
Speaker 6: it is.
34:42
Speaker 7: It's healthy.
34:43
Speaker 16: Good point is that's right, grains, grains.
34:48
Speaker 6: But I didn't mean to interrupt you, but be talked
34:50
Speaker 6: about the vendors.
34:51
Speaker 16: Yes, yes, we've got a number of vendors. There, tons
34:55
Speaker 16: of food vendors. We just added several yesterday.
34:58
Speaker 4: I had that.
34:58
Speaker 16: They all don't come to mind at the moment, but
35:00
Speaker 16: if you guys want to look it up online retrofest
35:03
Speaker 16: dot com and also Retrofest twenty twenty four, if you
35:08
Speaker 16: guys want to do that quick search. I would like
35:11
Speaker 16: to talk for a moment about our musical artists tomorrow. Yeah,
35:14
Speaker 16: Landra Johnson, she's does a guitar solo act and she's
35:18
Speaker 16: going to do some Fleetwood mac and artists like that
35:20
Speaker 16: from the what I call the retro period. And also
35:24
Speaker 16: a Neil Curry, a guitarist extraordinaire, maybe on the same
35:28
Speaker 16: level as your slide guitarist.
35:30
Speaker 6: It's going to be here, so yeah, yeah, maybe Neil
35:33
Speaker 6: Curryes from Putnam County. Is he that is correct?
35:35
Speaker 4: I do you believe that's correct?
35:36
Speaker 6: He teaches, he teaches.
35:38
Speaker 7: Yeah, I see him all over the place. He's very talented.
35:40
Speaker 4: Oh yeah yeah.
35:41
Speaker 16: And of course Non Friction the big rock yeah, glam
35:45
Speaker 16: rock kind of an arenaa rock band. They're going to
35:47
Speaker 16: be jamming on stage from seven thirty. They're a headliner
35:49
Speaker 16: for the evening seven thirty to nine thirty. Those guys
35:52
Speaker 16: are fantastic. We had them in year one and they
35:55
Speaker 16: are great.
35:55
Speaker 6: I worked the Food Truck Festival in Putnam County a
35:58
Speaker 6: couple of years with Non Friction. There are fantastic.
36:01
Speaker 4: Yeah, really sure, tight band, no kidding, Yeah, they're very good.
36:04
Speaker 8: It's such a fun night because you can go out,
36:06
Speaker 8: you can hear songs that you know, sing along with them,
36:08
Speaker 8: introduce yourself some really talented local artists, and like I said,
36:12
Speaker 8: expose the next generation to this amazing music that we've
36:14
Speaker 8: had a taste of for several decades. Y.
36:16
Speaker 16: Yeah, I can't wait to get my hands on the
36:18
Speaker 16: wheels of steel Man. It's gonna be fun.
36:21
Speaker 6: I got a text here for you, JK. Your fans
36:24
Speaker 6: want you uh oh, you're doing court oh and I'm
36:26
Speaker 6: sorry for the money for retrofests as a textra. How
36:30
Speaker 6: far back are we talking? I'm a gen xer, so
36:32
Speaker 6: you know I love my nineteen eighties, but my parents
36:35
Speaker 6: also raised us on fifties and sixties too, like Elvis,
36:38
Speaker 6: the Beatles and classic motown. So will that be played
36:41
Speaker 6: even if it's just by DJ.
36:43
Speaker 4: Not just yes, but heck yes, yes absolutely.
36:46
Speaker 5: I love it.
36:47
Speaker 6: And I wanted to bring this up too, because Morgan,
36:49
Speaker 6: you are substantially younger than I am. I don't know
36:51
Speaker 6: what yeah I do? What is what is retro?
36:54
Speaker 2: To you?
36:55
Speaker 6: When someone says to Morgan Robinson, what is retro? What
36:58
Speaker 6: would you say? Because because I'm I want to throw
37:00
Speaker 6: something out that's going to make you want to go
37:02
Speaker 6: take a nap somewhere.
37:03
Speaker 15: Go ahead.
37:03
Speaker 7: This, Yeah, retro to me is like seventies and up.
37:06
Speaker 9: Now.
37:06
Speaker 8: I was raised on vinyl from fifties, sixties all that,
37:10
Speaker 8: so I feel like I have a very wide catalog
37:12
Speaker 8: in my brain. But when I think retro, I think seventies,
37:16
Speaker 8: maybe sixties.
37:17
Speaker 7: And and up to maybe eighty five.
37:21
Speaker 8: I don't want to say ninety because then that makes
37:23
Speaker 8: me feel like I need to take a nap.
37:24
Speaker 6: I bring this up because this is not something that
37:27
Speaker 6: people want to hear. But retro, of course, retro lies
37:32
Speaker 6: within the ears, eyes, and head of the individual person. Yes,
37:35
Speaker 6: but retro in its truest form of the word is
37:40
Speaker 6: about twenty years ago. Shut up, same, So welcome to
37:43
Speaker 6: the retro world of two thousand and four. No, that's
37:47
Speaker 6: I mean, And seriously, seriously, when you talk about I mean,
37:50
Speaker 6: and Jak's gonna do everything as he said from Elvis
37:53
Speaker 6: to you know, the nineties and whatever. But retro in
37:57
Speaker 6: its truest sense from it. And I take everything from
37:59
Speaker 6: an average times in marketing standpoint, as I'm sure you
38:02
Speaker 6: do as well. Yeah, it means about twenty years ago.
38:05
Speaker 6: So so now two thousand and four, two thousand and
38:08
Speaker 6: three to early two thousands, get your razor phone ready?
38:13
Speaker 4: Is now retro your BlackBerry?
38:16
Speaker 6: Yes?
38:17
Speaker 8: Oh my gosh, Yeah, your slide start text and Nelly
38:20
Speaker 8: on Excel like Kelly Rowland did in that video.
38:22
Speaker 7: Oh my gosh.
38:23
Speaker 8: So what I will say is that actually does make
38:26
Speaker 8: sense because when you said it exists like within the
38:28
Speaker 8: person's brain retro to me is twenty years before I
38:31
Speaker 8: was born.
38:32
Speaker 7: Okay, so that would make sense. I was born in
38:34
Speaker 7: eighty three, so retro would be in the sixties.
38:36
Speaker 4: That's not going to tell you when I was born.
38:40
Speaker 4: We can't go there, sorry, JK.
38:42
Speaker 6: And I have the headphones that were.
38:44
Speaker 8: Made before, but I do like that, and I cannot
38:48
Speaker 8: imagine going to any event called retro and listening to
38:51
Speaker 8: like in Sync from two thousand and four.
38:54
Speaker 7: Listen, I guess that's where we are.
38:55
Speaker 4: We may hit that.
38:56
Speaker 6: Listen. We just did one of the sponsors of our
38:59
Speaker 6: studio here part our stores just did the They were
39:02
Speaker 6: doing the Adelphia Summer Concerce series of Marietta and just
39:05
Speaker 6: a couple of weeks ago they had people from bb MAC.
39:08
Speaker 6: Chris Kirkpatrick from en Sync was there. Ryan Cabrera. I think,
39:14
Speaker 6: and I mean, you've got to understand that people that
39:17
Speaker 6: were listening to that music of your age.
39:20
Speaker 7: We finally have money.
39:21
Speaker 6: They're in their thirties and forties now we finally paid
39:24
Speaker 6: off for Nobody wants to think about that, but it all,
39:27
Speaker 6: it all changes, and you know, in what we are
39:31
Speaker 6: talking in, the music and movies and television of today
39:34
Speaker 6: will be retro in twenty years correct the mundo.
39:38
Speaker 7: All right, I'm about to hang up these headphones.
39:39
Speaker 6: And just where did this whole idea come from to
39:43
Speaker 6: do retrofest?
39:44
Speaker 16: Well, man, I just I love the chance to play
39:46
Speaker 16: older music. A lot of the venues where I do
39:48
Speaker 16: play they demand a more current lineup of songs, and
39:52
Speaker 16: I thought, man, I would love to be able to
39:54
Speaker 16: go to a venue and play some sixties and seventies
39:57
Speaker 16: and maybe even stick a toe into the fifties waters.
40:00
Speaker 16: But it's just exciting to me to be able to
40:02
Speaker 16: play those genres because I just don't get the opportunity
40:06
Speaker 16: to do so much anymore so. And let's face it,
40:09
Speaker 16: where we are a rapidly aging and the median age
40:13
Speaker 16: in this area is a little higher than I'd like
40:15
Speaker 16: to admit, So I figured that would to go hand
40:17
Speaker 16: in hand.
40:18
Speaker 6: All right, do you want to throw this in there? Today?

44:17
Speaker 6: Tech Morgan's here by the way, and we get to
44:19
Speaker 6: back of Morgan here in a couple of moments, Tech said,
44:23
Speaker 6: could someone from the dn R come on the show
44:25
Speaker 6: to discuss the rising coyotes everywhere in Canawa County. They
44:29
Speaker 6: are being seen in the roads and Dunbar, South Charleston,
44:31
Speaker 6: South Ridge, et cetera. Small dogs and cats have disappeared also,
44:34
Speaker 6: so can we find out if there are any plans
44:37
Speaker 6: by the dn R to trap them and possibly release
44:39
Speaker 6: them into the woods. Already working on that, I was gonna.
44:43
Speaker 7: Say, I know my boy Clark at the DNR. He
44:45
Speaker 7: would be perfect.
44:47
Speaker 6: I am going to have somebody on that to address
44:50
Speaker 6: that situation, because there's somebody in the building here has
44:54
Speaker 6: a brother in law that happens to work for the DNR.
44:56
Speaker 6: Plus we got mister outdoors Chris Lawrence, you know, a
44:59
Speaker 6: matter of feet from it, send his little studio in there.
45:01
Speaker 7: So I'll tell you it is a real concern.
45:03
Speaker 8: As I've mentioned before, I've got three rat dogs as
45:06
Speaker 8: I call them, the rat pack, whose combined weight is
45:08
Speaker 8: about forty two pounds for all three of them. And
45:11
Speaker 8: I do worry our little baby dogs in the backyard
45:14
Speaker 8: come an encounter with a Cross Lanes coyote.
45:16
Speaker 6: It's a problem in South Hills, not only coyotes, but
45:20
Speaker 6: also bears bears too.
45:22
Speaker 8: And I'll tell you we do a big evening dog
45:24
Speaker 8: walk every evening. And I became a little adventurer like
45:27
Speaker 8: Dora the Explorer the other day because I saw a
45:30
Speaker 8: lovely pile of scat, if you will, and I thought,
45:34
Speaker 8: this looks like a bear, not that I've ever seen
45:37
Speaker 8: it before, but I did my googling research and I
45:39
Speaker 8: think I confirmed that there may be a bear in
45:41
Speaker 8: Cross Lanes.
45:41
Speaker 7: I'm gonna catch it.
45:42
Speaker 6: You're going to catch the bear.
45:43
Speaker 7: I'm going to catch the bear.
45:44
Speaker 6: Let me know how that works out.
45:45
Speaker 7: I will let you know.

Speaker 8: and for Women Making a Difference night. It was such
46:56
Speaker 8: a wonderful night celebrating some of the amazing female leaders
46:59
Speaker 8: in our community. We had a fabulous panel prior to
47:02
Speaker 8: the game where we talked about leadership, confidence building, self esteem,
47:06
Speaker 8: things like that. Our panelists were Jess Hudson from Dress
47:09
Speaker 8: for Success River Cities, which now has a Charleston location,
47:12
Speaker 8: so a great resource for anyone who needs career ready
47:16
Speaker 8: attire or just assistance in filling out job applications, resume
47:21
Speaker 8: building things like that, the fabulous Jamie Tridiica from Advanced

Speaker 8: Physical Therapy, Lindsay McIntosh who's an attorney for Knock County Schools,
47:27
Speaker 8: and Jill Garon, who is one of the voices of
47:30
Speaker 8: the Dirty Birds and the first female play by play
47:33
Speaker 8: announcer in the State of West Virginia. So just an
47:36
Speaker 8: all star panel which was absolutely amazing and great audience
47:40
Speaker 8: as well. We had some amazing leaders in the audience
47:43
Speaker 8: including Mayor Amy Goodwin, Beth Casey from the Girl Scouts,
47:47
Speaker 8: the Women Westertian Women's Alliance.
47:49
Speaker 6: So just we were serious thought it would be.
47:52
Speaker 8: It was everything I thought it would be. Ammore I
47:54
Speaker 8: would say, Charleston showed up. We had a great crowd.
47:57
Speaker 8: As Jim was saying, we had wonderful weather a little bit,
48:00
Speaker 8: but I'll take that over rain. And we were able
48:02
Speaker 8: to acknowledge fourteen women in the community who are making difference,
48:06
Speaker 8: including a nine year old from Putnam County who has
48:09
Speaker 8: been working for three years on a lemonade stand that
48:13
Speaker 8: she gives all the prosty to the Putnam County Animal Shelter.
48:16
Speaker 6: Well, that's awesome.
48:17
Speaker 8: I know at six years old she has a business
48:19
Speaker 8: already that's benefiting animals throughout Petnham County.
48:22
Speaker 7: And what was I doing at six picking my nose.
48:25
Speaker 6: Perfectly, building your retrofest, building my retrofst memories. Speaking of
48:30
Speaker 6: the Dirty Birds, they're a sponsor of the show your

Speaker 6: I think I'm gonna do sports Line live from there.
48:57
Speaker 7: Oh that's uh.
48:58
Speaker 6: And Tony will be joining us on the show on
49:00
Speaker 6: Monday to talk about that it's a big event and
49:02
Speaker 6: gets helping out the United Way. It's a big, big event,
49:05
Speaker 6: so we'll have Tony on the show on Monday. Also,
49:07
Speaker 6: Chris Reid, who is a candidate for Congress in District one,
49:11
Speaker 6: will be joining us on the show Monday as well.
49:13
Speaker 6: I want to get back to this retro thing though. Yeah, okay,
49:16
Speaker 6: all right, now you said you were you've already I
49:18
Speaker 6: wasn't going to put your age out there, but you
49:20
Speaker 6: were born in nineteen eighty three.
49:21
Speaker 7: Eighty three, and what month were you born in February.
49:24
Speaker 6: Okay, fabr of nineteen eighty three. I was in seventh grade, Okay,
49:27
Speaker 6: all right, So I don't want to talk about Ryan
49:29
Speaker 6: because I don't think Ryan was around in nineteen eighty three.
49:32
Speaker 7: Hellace.
49:35
Speaker 6: But again, everybody, and I have this discussion with people
49:39
Speaker 6: all the time. People will say things like, well, that's
49:42
Speaker 6: not really old why don't you play some oldies? And
49:45
Speaker 6: we don't play music on this station, but well, you
49:48
Speaker 6: know it's twenty years ago. That's what oldies are. If
49:50
Speaker 6: you're going to do oldies right now, you're gonna be
49:51
Speaker 6: playing early two thousands. And nobody wants to hear that.
49:54
Speaker 6: But that's what it is.
49:55
Speaker 7: Nobody wants to hear. But it's absolutely true. Age year's oldies.
49:59
Speaker 8: Retro is re you know, it depends on who you are,
50:01
Speaker 8: where you grew up, how you grew up, what.
50:03
Speaker 7: You listened to, all those things. So yeah, but it does.
50:06
Speaker 8: It gives me a high blood pressure and heartburn, which
50:08
Speaker 8: I probably had already in addition.
50:10
Speaker 6: To acid reflux and all the other things.
50:13
Speaker 8: Instead of cracking open a beer during retrofest, I want
50:15
Speaker 8: to be drinking insure. Like if two thousand and four
50:18
Speaker 8: is considered retro by today's standards.
50:20
Speaker 6: Then everything goes back basically twenty years. As I said,
50:23
Speaker 6: And if you think about it, I'm a kid of
50:25
Speaker 6: the seventies, Okay, that's when I was a kid. Was
50:28
Speaker 6: in the seventies. The fifties were all the rage. You know,
50:30
Speaker 6: Happy Days, shone on Off. You remember that there's an
50:34
Speaker 6: old reference area Greece. You know that it was all
50:37
Speaker 6: and then as we moved to the eighties, then they
50:41
Speaker 6: had the anniversary of Woodstock in the Summer of Love,
50:43
Speaker 6: and that was a big thing. So everything basically is
50:46
Speaker 6: twenty Everybody you know romanticizes about what was twenty years ago.
50:51
Speaker 6: Twenty years ago, folks was two thousand and four.
50:54
Speaker 8: It is wild because and you're exactly right, you know,
50:56
Speaker 8: growing up, I was a kid in the late eighties,
50:58
Speaker 8: early nineties, and that seventies show, right, that was like
51:02
Speaker 8: one of the huge shows back then.
51:03
Speaker 7: We were starting to get in back.
51:05
Speaker 8: Into like disco and abbat and like you said, we
51:07
Speaker 8: had the Woodstock ninety nine as well, so we were
51:10
Speaker 8: even pulling a little bit further.
51:12
Speaker 7: But I don't know, we always looked back at the.
51:15
Speaker 8: Past with rose collar glasses, especially when it comes to
51:17
Speaker 8: pop culture.
51:18
Speaker 6: It does, it does, and you look back in the
51:20
Speaker 6: nineteen eighties, is this when I was a teenager graduated
51:23
Speaker 6: from high school to nineteen eighty eight, And when you
51:24
Speaker 6: look back, you think, gosh, the eighties was such a
51:27
Speaker 6: good time. But but was it really?
51:28
Speaker 8: It was?
51:29
Speaker 2: It?
51:29
Speaker 11: Really?
51:29
Speaker 6: Was it?
51:30
Speaker 2: Really?
51:30
Speaker 6: I remember when we first we had our first VCR
51:33
Speaker 6: and I thought it was the greatest thing. We paid
51:35
Speaker 6: like two thousand dollars probably for it. We thought it
51:38
Speaker 6: was the greatest thing in the world to be able
51:39
Speaker 6: to record programs while you were watching one another and
51:43
Speaker 6: then CDs and I was having a conversation and we'll
51:45
Speaker 6: wrap it up with this with one of our sales weasels.
51:48
Speaker 6: The other day, I said, one of the greatest days
51:50
Speaker 6: of my life was when I got a dual cassette player,
51:53
Speaker 6: because then I could make I could make my own mixtape.
51:55
Speaker 7: That's what I was going to say. You can record
51:57
Speaker 7: from the radio and make your mixtapes. It was absolutely amazing.
52:00
Speaker 6: But I was the kid that was recording the commercials
52:02
Speaker 6: and the jocks talking. I had no interest and I
52:04
Speaker 6: had very little interest in the music. I was so
52:07
Speaker 6: all right, we gotta go live on the Levee tonight
52:10
Speaker 6: at six point thirty had that Riverfront Park. Moses Auto
52:13
Speaker 6: Group Live of the Levee. Retro Fest is tomorrow in Charleston,
52:16
Speaker 6: and tomorrow you're invited, Morgan, if you want to come out.
52:19
Speaker 6: All of our stations are going to be an eight
52:20
Speaker 6: to zy outlet in Saint Albans with par of Mars stores.
52:22
Speaker 6: We're gonna give away five hundred gallons of free gasoline.
52:26
Speaker 6: I had to get that gasoline here. Let me tell
52:28
Speaker 6: you it's hard hauling all those all those gas cans
52:30
Speaker 6: down here. All right, we gotta go. Tony Coreedy on
52:33
Speaker 6: the show Monday, as well as several other things. Chris Reid,
52:37
Speaker 6: Canada for Congress will be on the show. Hi yourself
