- 0:00SPEAKER_01: All right, let's get on little educational purposes here, because I have all your stuff that you do.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: Was it Reiki?
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Is that how you say it?
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Reiki?
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Reiki.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: Reiki.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: Reiki, I knew that.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: What is that?
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: I hear it all the time.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's blown up on TikTok and social media.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: So Reiki is actually a it's a Japanese energy healing art.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: And it uh I have to explain to people that it's even though it was founded by a Buddhist monk, it's not a Buddhist practice.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: It's founded yoga and tantric healing and pranic healing, but it was founded by a Buddhist monk actually when he was really, really ill, like meningitis level ill, um, and had this experience where he saw these symbols and realized that there is a I don't want to call it a frequency because it's not, but a healing current, there we go, of of energy that really anybody can tap into.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: And it it has really spread.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: I have been impressed when I started learning in 2013.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Like I just woke up one morning and was like, I need to learn Reiki.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: I had no idea what it was.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: So I was like, okay, and I'm crazy.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Like I'm waking up with like, you need to go learn this.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: But I started learning it.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Um, my ex-husband had done a tour in Iraq and he had a lot of like soft tissue injuries.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: And so it's it's hard to help that.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Like, bones are one thing, muscles are a different thing.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: And so it's it's hard to help that.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: So I was like, what can I do to learn?
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: What can I do to help that?
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Um, so I started learning Reiki and I got so fascinated with it.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: And when I learned that at the time I was learning it in 20, 2012, 2013, et cetera, 2014, um, they were starting to implement it in VA hospitals.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: And I was like, okay, well, there has to be something to it then if they're utilizing it in cancer centers and you know, VA hospitals and not just some like back alley, you know, like I know a lady, you know.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Um so it's an energy healing art.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: And I tell people that it's very similar to when you go to church and they do the laying on of hands, same thing, like literally same thing.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Um and there are so many forms of it out there.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: I really fell down the rabbit hole.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: I think, I think actually the number of Reiki certifications that I have is is incorrect.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: It's probably more than that because every type of Reiki has um a beginner, an intermediate, and a master, and then a master teacher, and sometimes a grandmaster.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: So every different form of Reiki that I'm certified in, I have four or five certifications with it.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: And I fell down the rabbit hole with it and learning all of these different things.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: And um, I got really fascinated with it because people have adapted it and utilized it for centuries and not realized that they have.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: And it's the same way in that when you were a kid and maybe you outriding your bike and you fell and you got hurt, and you come inside and you go to mom, you know, and whether mom tells you to stop crying or whatever, she's still gonna hug you and she's still gonna, you know, or kiss your boo-boo, you know, when you when you bumped your leg when you were three or whatever.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: But just being next to mom, you always felt better, right?
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: You know, being next to mom, you always felt, okay, well, mom's gonna, mom's gonna help, mom's gonna fix it, you know, that's literally Reiki energy, and people don't realize it.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Just parents, moms, especially have a very intense connection because she carried you, you know, like she made you, and so you have a very intense connection.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: So there's always going to be that ability, just like, you know, when we get older and mom gets older or whatever, having the kid around you helps to make you feel better too, help you feel better.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: So it's just it's like a universal healing current that anybody can learn to tap into.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: You don't have to be some special guru, like anybody can learn to do it.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: Anybody.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna tell you a story.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: I never told anybody.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: Well, everybody has on.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: So I tore my calf muscle years ago.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Ow.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: We had a lady at work that was like, I don't know if she called Reiki, I wasn't paying attention.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: She's like, I can help you heal.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: We used to call her her nickname was Mother Nature.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: You know, I mean, we always made fun of her, like she chewed tree bark and stuff, you know, whatever.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I could barely walk into work.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: That's how bad it was.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Like, I was in tears, time I got to work.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: I'm like, whatever.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: You know, okay, cool.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: The next day I woke up and walked right into work, no problems.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, and then dawned on me.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: And she's like, I come in and she was like, that worked?
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: I'm like, what are you talking about?
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: I'm like, my leg feels good.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: She's like, Yeah.
- 5:06SPEAKER_01: I was like, son of a bitch.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: Like, are you serious?
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: Like there's so many things out there that same with the paranormal that we don't want to believe, but it smacks us in the face.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: Like you kind of have to believe a little bit.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I agree.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: I I will say that in learning in learning all of the different like healing modalities and stuff, what's funny is I also got obsessed with quantum physics.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: Like I started, I started taking this is let me fly my nerd flag.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Um I started taking the free quantum physics and quantum theory courses on the MIT website for fun.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: And then I was like, holy shit, this is this.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, this is this.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: Like, so when you look at like frequencies, a lot of ancient, a lot of ancient cultures utilized frequencies for healing um and for as a weapon, basically.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: They had they built temples and rooms that all vibrated at a certain frequencies and so on.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: And now, you know, everybody in the scientific community is like, oh yeah, there's frequencies, and it's like, we've been telling you this for how long, you know, but all of those things like that.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: And then with healing modalities as well, all of these things have been used for centuries and you know, millennia to heal people, and it's amazing when somebody comes in.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: I actually really love people that don't believe in Reiki and they're like, whatever.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: And then I work on them for a couple minutes and they're like, What the hell did you do?
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: Like one of my favorite ones.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: Um, I there's an actor, his name is James Stokes, and I was at an event and I was working on some people, and there were a couple of professional wrestlers there, and one of them saw I did Reiki, and he was like, Do you have do you have time?
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: Will you work on me?
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: I was like, Absolutely, I will.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: So James had been sitting across and he was watching, and I I went to the bathroom and passed by.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: He said, Hey, he was like, Excuse me.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: He's like, What what are you doing?
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: What are you doing?
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: He's like, I've been watching and I'm watching everybody get up and walk away.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: And he was like, What are you doing?
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: So I explained it to him, and he's kind of leaned forward and he goes, Will you do that to me?
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Yeah, I've I'm like, come on, like now, go, you know.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: So I sit him in the chair, and I just I didn't have any of my like massage chairs, anything.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: So I just sit him in the chair and and I start to work on him, and I all I do is put my hands on his shoulders.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: And I've been doing it so long that I can sit and hold somebody's hand, you know, and that's all I need to do.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: Um, but I put my hands on his shoulders, all of a sudden I'm like, dude, my jaw started shaking.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: And I was like, what's up with your jaw?
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: Like, what's going on?
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: Like, this hurts.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: Like, what the what the f?
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: You know, like my jaw started shaking.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: I felt like I couldn't close my jaw.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: And he gets this look on his face and he goes, How how did you know that?
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: He like freaks out.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: He's like, How did you know that?
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I don't know, dude.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: It's your jaw.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: You know, you you tell me, like, it's your jaw.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: And he was like, What the fuck?
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: And I said, I said, All right, I'm gonna need you to take a breath because I feel I feel the anxiety, and now I feel like I can't breathe.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: And he teared up.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: And his girlfriend was standing there, and she walked away.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: She's like, I'm gonna give you guys a minute.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: And so I came and sat in front of him, and he was like, I've never told anybody this.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: And he just like blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: Like he had had a really bad injury to his jaw and it had been hurting real bad.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: And he could, he was like, I'm afraid to tell anybody, you know, because I can't have my jaw broke or whatever, being an actor and so on.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: But like him and I are super good friends now because of this.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: But I I absolutely love it when there's people that don't, don't, they've never experienced it and they don't believe in it.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: Um, and because I've been doing it so long, like sometimes I don't want to shake certain people's hands.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm getting to where now I don't want to shake your hand, A, because of the synesthesia, and B, because of that.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I've I've caught myself where like I can't let go of somebody's hand because they're they're hurting so bad and they haven't told anybody.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: And then I'm like, son of a bitch, like I'm gonna be sitting here for five, 10 minutes.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Like, but um it's amazing what it can do just for just for the body.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: And I tell people that it's it's gonna go wherever it's gonna go.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: So you might say, Well, hey, I busted my knee, it's hurting real bad, you know, like that's where I need help.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: But you actually have really horrendous disc problems in your back, and that's actually what's causing a lot of problems.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: It's gonna go there first, you know.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: Like I can work on your knee, I can have my hands on your knee all day long, and it's gonna go here first because that's where it's needed.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: Like you you can direct it, but it's it's the path of least resistance, it's gonna go exactly where it's needed first.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: So I hope I answered your question.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: I know that was like 900 other tangents that we just went on, but I mean, I'm not the re-watch it all, but yeah, he answered it.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: Um you got so much stuff here, so we'll go or drawings.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: What are they?
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: So mine are a little mine are a little different.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Um, I actually utilize one of the forms of synesthesia that I have to do that.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: Um when they brought me out of the coma, so I I know that I had a little bit of it before, like I mentioned, because I played the trumpet and I could always just see, and I'm gonna put that in air quotes because it was like in my mind, I could see that the note didn't sit where it was supposed to sit to be in pitch.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: Well, when they brought me out of the coma, um, the neurologist came up, you know, and you know, they've got your arms out because you you're hooked up to everything.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: And I remember he he patted my arm like this, like three times.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: He was like, There she is, you know, and all I saw was like green, green, green.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: And it was like it, I mean, it kind of scared me in a way.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: I was like, and I know the first thing I said was, Oh, you're green.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: And they all kind of giggled, you know, like, oh, it's just the it's the coma drugs, you know.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: And so one one of the types of synesthesia I have is called tactile visual.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: So when I touch things, I physically see a color.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: So I touch a building, I have found in the paranormal it's a color.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: Um, not not all buildings have the same color, even though all wood is blue, stone is usually green.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: No, like if it's a building with really heightened activity, I can put my hand on it and be like, oh shit, you know.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: But I started between that and seeing people's voices, I started really studying color theory and what color meant.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: And so I found that when I hold someone's hand, like if I just shake your hand, I'm gonna see a color.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna be like, all right, I see you over there, you know.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: Um, but if I hold your hand for a minute or two, I start to see layers of color.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: And so I started drawing that just because some of them are gorgeous, some of them are scary.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm so I'm sure you saw some of the ones, you know, on my on my page.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: And I started doing some research with like Carl Jung and things like that, and found out that what I'm seeing, those layers coincide with different layers of the aura, which also coincide with different layers of the of the psychology of psychology.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: And so I got fascinated with that.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: And I started doing it as a service years and years ago, and I've drawn a lot of celebrities and and things like that, and it's it's been amazing.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: It's been amazing.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: And usually when I do, um, there's also an attachment, you know, a spirit guide, grandma, mom, whoever comes through, and and I I'll if I have time, you know, I'll draw them on the side with what color they are and and so on and so forth.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: But um it's it's an interesting and very shitty gift to have.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: I mean, if if I'm being honest, like I don't like to touch people, and I've I was I always was a hugger, and now I'm like, you know, like I'm I'm having a shitty day.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: You don't want this, you know, like you don't want this because I will give it to you.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: But I I know just from someone's voice and shaking their hand immediately what kind of person you are.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: Um it makes it horrendous to try to date because like I can see when you're lying because of your voice.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: Like I mean, it's it's great, um, and it's really shitty at the same time.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: Let's get a whole bunch of other stuff here.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: I mean, you got way too many stuff to go over.
- 13:40SPEAKER_01: I mean, this might be like a four-podcast thing here, but um, so let's get in.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: Blue Bondi.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: How'd you get the name?
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: Um blue's been my favorite color for growing up.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: I've switched to purple a couple times, but blue's always been my favorite color.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: Um, and most of the things that I love the most, like I said, wood trees, those are always blue.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: Fur is blue.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: I love dogs, dogs are always a shade of blue, you know.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: Um, but when I really started doing this, I mean, my my actual name is Mandy.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: I've never liked it ever, ever.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Um, I don't feel like a Mandy, you know, and so I I just I don't like it.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: But when I first started doing this, I was like, you know, I feel like I I need to be able to separate the spiritual part of me from Mandy, you know, and so I make a joke like Mandy packs my suitcases wrong, like Mandy orders the wrong food, like you know, but she knows the owner, so we can't fire her.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: Like I always joke, like fucking Mandy, you know.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: But I was trying to figure out I was trying to figure out a name, right?
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: And I I I couldn't, I just couldn't.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: And the year I lost my mom, um, I started studying Buddhism, and I I just instantly kind of jived with it, like I've taken my Buddhist precepts and all those things.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: Um and somebody mentioned to me I was talking about how I loved the fact that there are female bodhisattvas, because you just don't really find that in a lot of religions, you know, it's all you know, dudes.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: And one of the most famous and powerful bodhisattvas is a fee is a female, and you see statues of her in almost every Buddhist temple.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: And I had a friend that was helping me with some stuff, and we got to talking about that, and I said, you know what?
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: We were just joking around, you know.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: I was like, well, blue bodhi rose off the tongue really well, you know, and she was like, Oh my god, she was like, That's perfect for you.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: And I was like, dude, I can't, I am not cool enough to call myself that, you know.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: Like, I love the movie point break.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: Don't get me wrong.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: Patrick Swayze is epic in that, but but, you know, and she was like, no, seriously.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: She was like, You explain to me what a bodhisattva does.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: So, what a bodhisattva is, is somebody that could in their lifetime reach enlightenment, but they choose to forego that to help other people.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: So, in other words, they put aside their own enlightenment and hitting nirvana to help other people.
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: She was like, That's all you do.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: She's like, That's all you do.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: You do appointments, you talk to people, you she's like, That's all you do is help people.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: She was like, It's the perfect name.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: And so I started using it and I never ever felt like I earned it.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: Like I it just felt weird.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: I felt like such imposter syndrome, it was so bad.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: And then um in 2020, late 2020, um, I had a girl come into the shop I was at, and she wanted to interview me for a paper or something, you know, and I thought, oh, okay, it's like a high school paper.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: She wrote her entire thesis on me, on synesthesia, and because I had helped her mom get past losing a baby, it almost makes me want to choke up a little bit.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Um, I had helped her mom get past losing a baby in a very horrendous way.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: And so she was like, You changed my mom's life.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: And she was like, and then my mom started telling me about other people that you've helped, and she was like, and I just I want to write a paper about you.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: And so that was the first time I was like, Oh, I'm Bodhi.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: You know, like I'm Bodie, like that was me.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: So that was the first time I actually felt like I deserved the name, you know.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: And now it's such a part of everything I do that I feel weird when people call me Mandy, like when I have to give my name at a hotel, and I'm like, well, I mean, it's it's Mandy, you know, like I'm like, I like to marry Mandela Tom, you know, like it's Mandy, but um, but it feels weird to to be called that now.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: But yeah, that's it, it started, believe it or not, as a joke, and then the people around me were like, no, that's right, that's right, that's what you should be.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: So kind of called to you, I mean, through your friends.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, like you said, it feels weird to be called Mandy now.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: So you are blue boatie, you are blue boatie.
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: So I had a few things written down here.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: I like that you said I don't script this, and then you're like, I've got all this stuff right now.
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: You had you had so much stuff.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: I mean, it was like I had it take notes.
- 18:23SPEAKER_01: So on your website, you have a lot of gravestones listed.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: And what is up with that?
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: So I I bought a church in Pennsylvania in um western Pennsylvania, and I wasn't looking for a church, definitely didn't think you could buy a graveyard.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: Um, I was looking for some haunted estate literally to live in, you know, to go be some weird wicked witch in the woods or whatever.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: And I'm sitting in the bathtub talking to my best friend, you know, having a good girl bubble bath, and we're joking and laughing, and I'm scrolling through Zillow, and all of a sudden this church comes up.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: And I was like, and I was like, wait a minute.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: I was like, I need to go look at this place.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: She was like, dude, that needs so much work.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: She's like, what the hell?
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: I was like, I love this place.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: This is my place.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: She was like, no, seriously, like, look at this one over here.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: You know, she keeps sending me all these ones.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: So I did an event at West Virginia State, drove the six hours up and looked at the building.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: And as soon, as soon as I pulled on the property and I saw the cemetery, the graveyard, it I got so protective of it.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: I was like, I gotta buy this place.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: Um, so on my website, I have something called Adopt a Grave because there are like 360, 370 graves out there, and it is an old, old cemetery.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: Like it's the first grave that we could find out there is 1836 or 1834, one of those two, almost 100, 200 years old.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: Um, so a lot of the stones are broken, a lot of them are falling over.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: Um, some of them are misplaced.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: Someone who owned the property after the church sold it decided it would be a great idea to use a headstone as a um stepping stone into like things like that.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: And I just got so protective and mad about how that had been treated because I have family buried all over Pennsylvania.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: All of my Irish ancestors that came over here all buried in Pennsylvania, other side of Pennsylvania, but in Pennsylvania.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: And I thought my first thought was I would be horrified if I knew that that was my family and their grave had been knocked over so long that all the writing was gone.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: Like, or it had been moved and nobody even knows where they are.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: Like, I would be horrified at that.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: And I I walked around, I looked at the property, and uh we we went down in the basement.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: The place is massive.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: We went down in the basement, we were walking through, and there's an area in the back where we you kind of have to go single file, like you can't really walk two people.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: Well, my best friend Sass was in the back, and all of a sudden she comes bolting through.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: She's like, get out of my way.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: Something touched me, something pushed me, get out of my way.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: She goes out of the building, doesn't come back in, and I'm like, I like it even more, you know.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: And uh yeah, yeah, I mean, the the the graveyard itself, I was gonna buy it just for that.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: And so the the adopted graves are to help me take care of that because I've already spent tens of thousands of dollars just eradicating um rats and um groundhogs that were eating through the graves.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Like it's it's already cost me a lot just to fix some of this.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: Um, but I had a friend of mine, Shauna, from Unique Paranormal.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: She was videoing everything because I live in Oklahoma.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: It's like a 14 hour drive.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: And I because I was like, let's video everything so when I go home, I can look at it and know what kind of a money pit I'm about to buy, you know.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: And I don't remember.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: I was sitting there doing something.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: All of a sudden I get these texts like bam, bam, bam.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: She was like, you need to listen to this right now.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Watch this video.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: So she had been going back through listening, and there's a part where I make a joke because there's a bathroom on each floor, right?
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: And down in the basement, there's a sign and it says men's bathroom here.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: Well, I make a joke.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh, the men gotta go to the bathroom in hell.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: There's only five women looking at this property.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: And you hear a man go, yup, behind us, and I'm like, what?
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: You know, like just things like that.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: And it instantly got me so excited.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: You know, I'm already protective over it, and now I'm excited.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: And so, yeah, that that the rest is history.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: But those are those are all to help me take care of the graveyard, like just having it mowed is expensive as hell.
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, I was supposed to go out there, and like I said, I talked to you before, and we had a group out there, I think it's Alme Paranormal.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: Um, they were out there beginning this year or last year, I think last year, with the Verona Ghost Chasers, and they actually ran up the steps, and that's the first time they left the property.
- 23:15SPEAKER_01: Um, I've heard this a couple times from other groups, so I am a basement freak.
- 23:20SPEAKER_01: I love basement.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna lie.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: I was a brave girl the last time I was there, and I went down there by myself only during the day.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: It's yeah, you have to fight, not running up the stairs.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: It's creepy.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: So I I did tell them quite stupidly that I will do the basement solo as soon as I get there.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: I won't even walk the place, I'll just go straight to the basement, you know, one hour in the basement and no flashlight.
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: Like I'm game, and they're like, Oh, it's pretty bad down there.
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: I'm like, how bad?
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: And they're like, tell me, I'm like, damn it.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: But I made that promise.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: So next time I do go out there, I will do a solo basement.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna hold you to that, but I mean, if you want to, I'm like, I'm saying, like, yeah, we um when we like I said, we had there's five women that we all went walked around.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: The realtor was a woman, you know, and we were open just opening doors, looking at stuff, filming things, and there's the the most creepy crawl space I've ever seen in my entire life.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: Um, and it's part of the original foundation.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: There's been three buildings.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: This is the third building that's been right there.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, and um we opened it up.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: You know, we've got videos going and stuff, and we've got a voice uh at this point now because so many things had happened.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: We well, we walked in and there's um somebody had put like all these shutters, different colored shutters on the wall.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: One of them goes flinging off, and I'm like, I mean, the building's you know, my scientific self, mundane before magical, you know.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: I'm like, uh, it's been sitting, you know, like so.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: There were 16 nails.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: There was no way, and I mean it was like bam, like, yeah, it scared the shit out of the realtor.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: She was like, I can't wait outside.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, no, but we're downstairs, and Shauna turns on, you know, a box or something, necromancer, and we open up the uh the crawl space, and it's like there's a little closet and then this crawl space.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Yep, nope, nope, I ain't I ain't going in there.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: And we made this joke because it it's had a lot of water damage down there, so there's mold and stuff.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: There's an upside down cross in mold on the door.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: So we're making a joke about that.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: And on the spirit box, something goes, help.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: And I go, Oh, oh, Shauna, you're at the door, you get to go help.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: And she's like, I'm not going in there.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: So Shauna ain't going in there.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: Goes chicken and laughed.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: And I was like, it just called you out, dude.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: You know, and like, but we shut that shit really quickly, and and we were like, All right, like, I don't like to open it.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: I don't like to open it, and um, but the basement is laid out real weird, it's like two U shapes, and so you get turned around down there really easy, like on the outsides there are windows, insides they're not, and the back foundation is you know, up against it's up against graves, like it's it's creepy, and um women get very uncomfortable.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: There's an area that's oil tanks, you know, the old oil tanks for the heat and stuff like that.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: Um, there's a a gentleman that's in there, and I've just named him Benny.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: It's we've gotten Benjamin and Benny repeatedly up there, so I've just called him Benny.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: Guys have no problem.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: My dad went down there, hung around by himself down there.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: He's like, I love it down here.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: I'm like, well, yeah, because you're a dude, you know.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: So you may not have a problem down there.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: But um, but women, he doesn't like women in there.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: Like he will, he don't push you out, but he will kind of, you know, like like a dad kind of pushing you out of like you don't need to be in the garage, kiddo, you know, like go on, like that.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, I I don't we had a we had a smoke alarm and a fire alarm go off.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Um, somebody left an old system in there and uh the electric flash, it went off.
- 27:04SPEAKER_00: My it's just me and Sass in the building.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: I'll stay upstairs all day long.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: Um, and it goes off and we look at each other and I was like, it's in the basement.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: She was like, I know.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: And I said, I I don't want to go down there.
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: She's like, Me either.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: And I said, All right, I'm calling the fire department.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: And we went outside.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I'm not going down there.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: Um, but every time we have a team there, they get told to go in the basement.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Their voice, their spirit boxes will always say they'll try to get them in the basement every single time, every single time.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: And um Benny raises out your night.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: Um, it he does like you're not wrong.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: It's it's like someone is right here, but it's only women really that report that.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: And it's not mean, it's just like, what are you doing in here?
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: You know, and if you really think about it, at the time those those, you know, oil oil tanks were put in there, like women didn't work on that stuff, you know.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: So, like, so you can't be mad at him, like it's his place, you know.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: But um yeah, it's it's interesting.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: We we get a lot, a lot of activity in there with so many different spirits, and um getting touched is another thing there.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: Um, I've been a lot of places, and when we first were in there, the very first investigation we did, sitting in the cathedral, you can hear footsteps walk up behind you, which that always creeps me out.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter, always creeps me out, and then um we've it's like like if a little kid's trying to get your attention and they just are kind of like, hey, you know, they just poke you, like that happens a lot.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: Um they love flashlights, like the mag lights back and forth.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: We get such oh my god, that like that's their the favorite thing there is so if y'all go, mag lights.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: Um but yeah, we have a lot of people.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: There's we had multiple people in one weekend.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: We were up there painting and working, and uh would be like, Hey, who's the lady in the red shirt that's helping?
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: Like, there's no one in a red shirt in here, you know, like multiple, like five, six people saw this woman in the kitchen, and I mean nothing bad, she just walks through, you know.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: But you can see her very plainly.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: And we I I love it there.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna lie.
- 29:19SPEAKER_00: I love it there.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: I'm going back in a couple weeks to stay for a couple weeks, and uh I I I love it, I love it a lot.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I've heard a lot of great things about that place.
- 29:29SPEAKER_01: Okay, I believe we do have an investigation coming up there in the year.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: Help me out with that.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: Um I mean, I'm inviting you up.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: You can you can come up and hang out, I'm just saying.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: Um, I say a couple weeks you said, so I do have one question or hopeful.
- 29:51SPEAKER_01: Um, you have some books out, correct?
- 29:55SPEAKER_01: If I'm to buy a book, what book do I need to buy?
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: Well, are you are you a gamer or are you more of a horror novel fan, horror fan?
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: Oh man, I'm I'm a true crime fan.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: That's what I am.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: So um I have a book that I I started writing it in oh god, 1996.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: Um, and I didn't finish it until 2013 because I didn't know how to end it.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: Um, called The Vampire Strain.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: I will say my editor fucked part of it up, so there's a part in there that's repeated.
- 30:30SPEAKER_00: Um actually have it.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: But it is uh this one right here.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: And um it is it's a good conspiracy zombie, vampire, Freemasons, like all the shit.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: Um, I did a lot of research for this.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: So everything in here about the Black Plague and the Saints that were involved in it were actual documented people.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: So um, but yeah, this was this is actually my favorite.
- 31:02SPEAKER_00: It's the last book my mom read before she passed away.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: And I promised her I'd write a sequel, and I haven't been able to.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: I haven't been able to.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: So, but um, this one is the one I said if you're a gamer um or you love just technology computer stuff, it's also a conspiracy theory, but um it's uh it's it's interesting, it has to do a lot with astral travel, um, being stuck in technology via astral travel and things like that.
- 31:32SPEAKER_01: So the main question why I'm asking is if I buy a book off Amazon, I can meet you and you can sign it.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: Yes, because I I'm gonna donate it to our charity that we're doing for the Cleveland Paracon.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, I would love that.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: Well, I'll tell you what.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: Um I also have some other books.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: I I got bored during COVID.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: I wrote four books during the shutdown.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: Um, I'll tell you what, I will I will get some copies and sign them and give them to you, and you can it's up to you.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, I don't know I will I will give them I will give them to you, and uh yeah, you can do whatever whatever will help you raise some money.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean that's the whole thing.
- 32:12SPEAKER_01: I just want to try and raise as much money.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: I am like jamming my charity.
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: It's supposed to be a basket, but I built a coffin, so it's a charity coffin for this giveaway.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: No, that is so cool.
- 32:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we'll see.
- 32:28SPEAKER_01: But the issue is I it's nice because a lot of people are gifting a lot of stuff, and I have like I might have to have two coffins.
- 32:36SPEAKER_01: I don't know yet.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's I mean, that's a good problem.
- 32:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it is because as long as we can raise as much money as possible for the place, it's all I care about.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: So well, I also have an obsession with creepy dolls.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: I'd be happy to donate a creepy doll.
- 32:53SPEAKER_01: Oh man.
- 32:54SPEAKER_01: Do you know do you know haunted haven, Stephanie Pitts?
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: No, okay, she's a creepy doll lady, she does a lot of that.
- 33:03SPEAKER_00: I've got a few, like I'm not a creepy doll, dude.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: I can tell you straight out, I'm not a creepy doll guy, but I just felt like I needed a doll in this charity basket.
- 33:16SPEAKER_01: So I had her younger daughter pick one out for me because she sells a lot of haunted dolls.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: So she picked one out, and we'll see.
- 33:24SPEAKER_01: And the thing is, is I'm going over to UK next month.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 33:29SPEAKER_01: And I told her I'll bring a doll back for her too.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: So oh, that ought to be fun.
- 33:34SPEAKER_00: That ought to be fun.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: I have a feeling, yeah, I'm a you'd have twin dolls in the coffin.
- 33:40SPEAKER_01: Great.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: No, I mean, yeah, I um I uh you can't see them.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, you can.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: I've got two behind me.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: Uh, this one, the big the white one, Shauna and Danielle gifted me from the DOS house.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: That's Bertie.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: Um, my entire living room.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: I have these built-in shelves, dolls.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm fixing to uh I have a whole bunch of other dolls.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: We're fixing to have a hall of dolls at the reliquary.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: Um, and most of them will be for sale.
- 34:12SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, yeah, I'd be happy to gift one if you would if you would like.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: So maybe if it's Philip was dummy or you know, marionette.
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: I've got some marionettes that are pretty creepy.
- 34:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:26SPEAKER_01: Creepy's good, I think.
- 34:28SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 34:30SPEAKER_01: I'm just scared about bringing this damn doll back from the UK.
- 34:33SPEAKER_01: Like I'm like, I'm not a big believer in haunted dolls, but I'm like, I don't know if I want this damn thing on the plane with me.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I I I didn't like dolls for the longest time.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: Like, I loved Barbie, you know, and like She-Ra back in the day, but then I saw The Puppet Master, that movie in the 80s, and then I hated dolls after that.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: And now I have a problem.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Now I'm uh I have an obsession.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: This in fact, this doll right here, um, I ordered off of eBay and it came with a bag of hair.
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: And when I messaged the person, I was like, I thought it was a wig, like an extra wig.
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: No, no, it's just a bag of hair.
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: And so when I messaged the person, they were like, Well, I don't know, that shouldn't have gone with that.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: And they're like, Let me find out the late, let me ask the lady who packaged it up for me, and I've never heard back.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Cool.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: So I just have a random bag of someone's hair, like what the hell?
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: Like, okay, okay, but I keep it with the doll because I'm like, I don't want to separate you.
- 35:28SPEAKER_00: Like, don't be mad.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: Like, don't be mad, but yep, yep, that one in particular has a bag of hair that goes with it.
- 35:35SPEAKER_01: So when you pick a doll out, is it like a feeling or because a lot of people buy dolls because they're creepy looking, or is it a feeling that you have that something might be with it, or you just like the creepy dolls?
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: No, mine's definitely a feeling because there's a lot of times I'm places and they have a lot of really cool dolls, and I'm like, meh, nothing.
- 35:57SPEAKER_00: And then I might go someplace and and end up with 12, you know.
- 36:00SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know, Shauna.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: I I don't know if you saw the video I put out.
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: Shauna and I uh I took her to Eureka Springs and we did an investigation and got to go down in the morgue and and stuff like that of um the Crescent Hotel.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: And there's a there's there's flea markets everywhere, right?
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: You know, like I was raised, we always stopped at all those things.
- 36:21SPEAKER_00: So we go into this place, and unfortunately, dolls are big business, and so some people like, oh, I you know, they price it really high.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: They had some cool ones that I would have grabbed, but they were they were ungodly expensive, and so I thought, you know, whatever.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: So we're walking around and all of a sudden she comes against me, she's like, You need to come over here right now.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: And I turned the corner, and the whole entire booth is dolls, and immediately I'm like, that one, that one, that one, that one, that, you know, like just some of them.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: And then I felt bad because I left other ones there.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I feel so sorry.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it's it's a it's a it's a feeling, like it's a certain feeling, and usually I mean, my best friend hates dolls, and so I'll send them to her, and she was like, You didn't, she's like, You didn't warn me.
- 37:05SPEAKER_00: I opened it up in the text and there's dolls, you know.
- 37:08SPEAKER_00: But Shauna and I, I think ended up with 20-something dolls, and they're spread across the backseat of my car.
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: And I took this video, and it was so funny.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: The lady that was running the uh the antique shop, she even came out, she's like, Can I take a picture?
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: This is really cool.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Yes, go for it, you know.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: So we rode home with a backseat full of dolls, and uh, she's like, You're gonna let them ride like that?
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: I said, Yeah.
