Transcript
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Hey, hey, everyone.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Welcome to episode number three of Crushing Strongholds.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: This is a podcast that helps turn pain into purpose and trauma into triumph and a place where we could just focus on being better versions of ourselves.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: And um I am Mickey.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: I am your your host today.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: Something just flew right on my face.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm a Christian life coach.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: That's what I do, as well as this podcast.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: So I kind of have converted some of my coaching into podcasting just to help um people in general.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: So I love to share the love and the joy of the Lord.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: And I absolutely love to help people that are struggling break free from strongholds that are just just holding them back and keeping them in captive.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: So like I said, this is episode three.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Bear with me also, by the way.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: I just went to the dentist.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: My throat is so, so dry.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: And um, my face and you know, the whole, the whole facade is happening with all of this going on today.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: So bear with me.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: And I'm still nervous because like this is new for me, guys.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: So give me grace, okay?
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Just stick with me, bear with me.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: I promise as I as I do more of these, I'll get better at it, okay?
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Anyhow, um in um this podcast, sorry, um, it is a series, it's a four-part series.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: The first episode was what is a stronghold?
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Basically, I'm just gonna recap one and two for you real quick.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Um, what is this stronghold?
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Is basically four types of strongholds that I shared with you, and I explained what each one of them were and um kind of how they play a role in our in our life.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: So I talked about physical strongholds, psychological strongholds, metaphorical strongholds, and spiritual strongholds.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: In this podcast, specifically, we are really going to dissect and tear apart and create a space for healing and purpose and power while we are working on tearing down the psychological and spiritual strongholds that keep us back from just being the best person that we can be.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: So that's kind of what I shared in episode one.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: Episode two was Surface to Purpose, where we talked about um how we're barely just scratching the surface to get to God's um purpose for our life.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: I talked about um God's characteristics and his divine origin for what that looks like.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: So it's kind of important to know what we're what we're diving into before we dive into it.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: We don't want to jump into dark waters if we don't know what's ahead.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: So that's what this basic opening series is about.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: It's just kind of breaking down what strongholds are, what crushing them kind of looks like before we start getting into interviews and testimonies and stories of people that have already overcome many, many, many obstacles and they have just torn down and crushed some major strongholds that try to hold them back, that try to keep them from fulfilling what God wanted them to fulfill.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: So today's episode, hey, today's episode is very interesting, but very important because it kind of ties in with the with the all four episodes that are with this um series.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: This episode is called Talk Stuck and Stay Stuck.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: So talk stuck, stay stuck.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: And literally, we are seriously just gonna keep it real right here.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Okay, and it is not the talk of the town.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: That's not what we're talking about, okay?
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: We're not talking about all the mayhem that's going on in the world.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: We're not talking about um, you know, politics or um, you know, who's doing what in the church.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: We're not talking about any of that.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: We are talking about what we talk about on a personal level with ourselves, okay?
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: How we talk in a way that it keeps us stuck.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: And then we end up staying stuck for a very long time.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: So, what does it mean?
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: What does it mean talk stuck, stay stuck?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Well, telling yourself that you're stuck is talking stuck.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's kind of a no-brainer.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like that's kind of obvious, Mickey.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: I know what you're saying, but but here's the thing: your mouth matters, your words matter, and also what you hear matters.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: So it's so important that day in and day out, you're focusing on your process system of what's going in and what's going out of your mouth.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: So I want to give you five steps real quick.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: Um, that's gonna help us to get unstuck today from talking stuck all the time to ourselves.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Okay, we kind of need to go through these steps in order for this to actually happen.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Some people will be like, oh, you make it sound so easy.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: It's not easy.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna tell you, it is not easy.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: When you start focusing on your own words, what you say, what you what you take in, what you speak out, when you start focusing on it, you you get into a position where you can actually get stuck and stay there for a long time because um you have to work through it basically.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: So the first step I want to share with you is recognition.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Recognition, recognition, recognition.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: I am gonna say that a hundred times.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: I do not know what this, oh, it's a little nap.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: Like, what's going on here?
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: How disturbing.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: I'm so sorry.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: By the way, I don't edit, so this is all raw.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: You're just gonna have to bear with all my quirkiness and my goofiness and all my weird and strange stuff that goes on in this podcast.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: So please bear with me.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: I hope I don't get too annoying because sometimes it annoys me.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: So um, I feel yeah.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: Okay, step one, recognition.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Um, do you even recognize that you're talking yourself into being stuck?
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: Do you recognize it?
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Have you ever recognized it?
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've already recognized it and you're you're getting past it or you're working through it right now, or you think you've passed it and yet you're still not sure.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Okay, so we want to dive into that.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: We want to see what that looks like.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: How do we recognize that we're talking stuck?
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: First of all, one way to recognize about talking stuck is to indeed understand that talking negatively and keeping yourself stuck in a trap, that is the stronghold.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: That's the stronghold that needs broken.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: That's the stronghold that we need to crush.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: We need to just get rid of it, okay?
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: We need to tear it down, we need to smash it up, and then we need to get rid of it.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: Okay, so it definitely needs to be addressed.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: The way we talk needs to be addressed, okay.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Step three is renewing your mind, okay.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: We want to re excuse me, I have hiccups now.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: We need to renew our minds, okay?
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: When we start talking about the process, we end up seriously renewing, okay?
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: It's a it's it's definitely a process that we have to go through, okay?
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: It's like basically um we're gonna unlatch the prison door and start working through the process.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: Ooh, we're going through it.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: We're gonna go through it as we renew, as we renew, as we renew.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: And it's a continual.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: This is not a one and done deal thing.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: You you literally have to continue over and over and over and over and over again, okay?
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: And make sure that you're doing it on a regular basis so you that you don't go back to where you started from.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: You definitely do not want to go back to where you started from.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: My microphone down.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: I'm I've got some stuff going on here.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: The next step is um removing the negative.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: Like, wow, that for me, that was the toughest part and still is.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: I still struggle with that today.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: Not gonna lie, I have a really hard time because I was raised in a very negative environment from the time I was born through through all kinds of situations.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: There was a lot of negative talk, a lot of negative, negative, negative, negative.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: People just did not have nice things to say all around me all the time.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: And um, it became effective.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: It became so effective that I latched on to that negativity and I spoke that negativity over myself for years.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: Like it's very damaging, very, very damaging.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: So replacing negative talk with positive talk, okay.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: Like I said, it's not an easy thing to do, but it's a habit and it's a pattern and it can be changed.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: See, there's hope already.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: We have a hope already because this can be changed, okay?
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: Um, we definitely need to have a positive mindset when we even go into thinking about changing our mindset.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: We want to have a good outcome with our continual renewing.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: Now, step five is transformation.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: Um, during the renewing, transformation is going to start happening.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: And more than likely, if you're focusing in the right direction and you're removing the negative and replacing with the positive, your your transformation is going to be a great transformation.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Now, if it's not doing that, well, then we need to talk.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: We seriously need to get together and have a little talk.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: So stay focused.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: And what do we need to focus on?
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: We need to focus on God and on his word and not on the world.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: And we are going to look at that today.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: We're going to actually look at some scripture and dive right in.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: So today, let's get our Bibles out.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: If you don't already have it, grab it.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: Like I always say, the best place to have your Bible is in the palm of your hand.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: So that way when you read it, you you you eat it and then you you have it in here, in your heart and in your spirit.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: So we're going to look at 1821 in Proverbs.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: So if you're ready, you can all read along with me, or you can just listen.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: If you if you trust me, hey, that's great.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: I want you to trust me.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: But I always tell people, don't ever take my word for it.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: Take it from the word of God.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: The best place you're going to get the whole entire perfect truth is from the word of God because we mess up, we fumble, we trip on our words, um, we may um not say things exactly 100% correct.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: So you always want to take whatever someone gives you advice or tells you something scripturally, take it to the word and and and self-check it.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: So Proverbs 18, 21.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: Death and life are in the power of the tongue.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: The tongue.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: It's so powerful.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: They eat it.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: They eat the fruit.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine death fruit?
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: What is death fruit?
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: Maybe we need a podcast called Death Fruit.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: What is death fruit?
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: It's rotten fruit.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: Did you know that?
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: It's just literally rotten, nasty, yucky, moldy, cringy, gnat-infested, slimy, smelly fruit that you are actually putting in your mouth and speaking out your mouth.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: Putting in your mouth, speaking out your mouth.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: Putting in your mouth, speaking out your mouth.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Now, how do you say, what do you mean?
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna put rotten fruit in my mouth.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: If you hear somebody say something negative and you speak that negative thing over yourself, you're putting rotten fruit back into your mouth.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm saying.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: How many times have you spoke something negative over yourself?
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: Like get up in the morning, you go step in front of the mirror, and you're like, ah, I look like rudd.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, no, you know, this day is gonna be horrible.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna have a bad day.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: You know, how many times have you ever done that?
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: That is negative death rotten fruit, y'all.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: And you're eating it.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: Y'all eating it like it's who just keep on eating it, okay?
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: We don't want to do that.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: We don't want to eat rotten fruit.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: We want to eat healthy and and fresh and juicy and the good kind of juicy, and and and not moldy and not cringy and not stinky and not gnat infested.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: We want to eat, you know, very good, healthy, wholesome, fresh, fresh, fresh fruit that has life.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: That's not already starting to decay, that's not turning into something very dead.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: So I want to share another scripture with you.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: At that scripture is 5, 22, and 23.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: I'm going to share with you right now what the fruit of the spirit is.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: And I'm hoping this is a helpful tool for you.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Write this scripture down, jot it down somewhere so that you get familiar with the fruits of the spirit.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: And then I'm going to ask you a question after I read these to you.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: Galatians 5 22.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, which is patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, which is self-control.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: I know on other days I need self-control, but these are all fruits of the spirit.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: Now I want to share something with you.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: Have you ever encountered a person where you've seen some of these fruits on them?
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: And they just they show a lot of love.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: They have a lot of joy.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: They just seem so at peace with things in their life.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: They're patient with people.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: I need to be around more of those kind of people.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: But they're really patient with people.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: They have a lot of goodness, they're faithful.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: They're meekness, they're they're they're self-controlled.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: But they have a lot of temperance.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: These are people that have the Holy Spirit feeding them.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: They're getting fed by Holy Spirit.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: They're eating the fruit right from the Holy Spirit.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: Every day.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: They're taking it in.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: Because when you see it on someone, then you know that's what's fed them.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: Because the fruits of the Spirit are led by Holy Spirit.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: They are literally led by the Holy Spirit.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: This scripture tells us that these fruits are given to us through the Holy Spirit.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: So if we have them, guess what?
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: Then we have Holy Spirit.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: And we want to be living in that.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: We seriously want to be living with the Holy Spirit and have the Holy Spirit within us.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: So let's continue.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: I don't want to drag this out too long.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to keep, I'm trying to do good on my time so I don't go too long today.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Um, if you talk stuck and you stay stuck, all right.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Um for me, this stronghold, I needed to break free from it because my whole entire world operated around seriously keeping myself stuck.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: Okay, my confidence was removed.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: Um I didn't have a lot of hope.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: Um, I was discouraged, frustrated, because I talked to myself constantly in such a negative, negative, negative, negative way.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: So I had to break that.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: So here's how we start working on that.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: Romans 12, 2.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: I have a little word of advice on this.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Jot this down, put it on a sticky note, put it on your phone, make it your screensaver, put it on your laptop, your TV, your mirror, right wherever you get out of bed.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: If you take vitamins in the morning, stick it right on your vitamin bottle so that you have you read it, you read it, and you read it and you read it until you absorb it, you memorize it, you learn it, and then you do it.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Okay, so Romans 12, 2, it says, be not conformed to this world.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, there's a lot of conformity out there, folks.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: We are so busy trying to put on the costume of the world.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: Okay, we need to take off the costume of the world and be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna read that one more time because I I jumped in.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: We want to be in the will of God.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: Romans 12, 2, please jot this down.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: It's good, it's so helpful.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: This is such a powerful message.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: It's very effective, okay?
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: It's it's a working message, it's something that helps you get through some stuff, okay?
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: We need to concentrate and think about renewing our minds.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: If we are constantly thinking about that, we're not gonna have a lot of room for mistakes, okay?
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: We're gonna make mistakes because no one's perfect.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: But if we want to be acceptable and in God's perfect will, that doesn't mean once we do the right thing, that makes us perfect.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: No, that just puts us in God's perfect will when we're doing things out of righteousness and holiness, okay?
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Which we're gonna talk about that in the next scripture.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: So let's let's let's dive there actually.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: Ephesians 4 23.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: And that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and holiness.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: So we wanna, when we start transforming our mind, we're taking off all the dead, we're getting rid of the death, and we're putting on life, which is the new man, okay?
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Now we're now we're putting on the new man.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: We took, we're taking off the costume of the conformity of this world, which by the way, we all think looks glamorous and it has a Hollywood uh bling bling, blip blip, whatever vibe on it, but it doesn't, y'all.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: It doesn't because underneath the surface, you're still there.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: Okay, you're still there, and God loves who you are in that realm, not in the costume realm, not in the pretend Hollywood made-up realm.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: That's why we need to get out of the thinking of transforming or being conformed to fit into this world.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: Okay, we weren't meant to fit into this world, by the way.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: We were not designed for that, okay.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna be putting on the new man, okay, which is after God, because he created us in righteousness.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: So when we put on the new man, that means we are acting righteous.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: I have got to quit doing that.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: We are acting righteous and we're seeking out true holiness.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: We want to have holiness.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: And let me just make sure that you understand when I say this.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: When you're seeking righteousness and holiness, nothing irritates or just like really discourages me more than somebody that comes along.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: And this is the enemy, by the way, and I want you to be really open-minded and understand what I'm gonna say right here.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: This is an attack from the enemy.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: When you are working on renewing your mind, you're you're you're working on being who God created you to be, you're working on changing from being conformed to the world to to be in you know in God's righteousness, okay, and working on his holiness.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: People are going to come at you through the with the enemy and say, What you think you're holier than thou?
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: I don't know about you, but I get so irritated when people say that to me.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, you go to church, so you're holier than thou.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: You know, you wear cross earrings, so you're holier than now.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: You you have a cross tattoo on your neck, which a lot of people would be completely like you are not even saved if you have a cross tattoo.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: We'll dive into that message later.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: Um, but you think you're holier now because you put a cross on your neck or a scripture, or because you read the word today, you think you're holier than now.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: And what that means is they're trying to say that that they think that you think that you're better than they are.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: This has nothing to even do with God.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: That's what's crazy about this whole um holy, holy, you know, holiness that people talk about.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: So we need to separate that and make sure that we're clearly understanding that when we are seeking after true holiness, we're not trying to be holier than anyone else.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: We're trying to be holy to what is acceptable and perfect for the will of God on our life.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: And I'm really hoping that you understand this and that I'm making it clear and that it's just not gibberish to you.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: Because I fought through this.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: I thought, I fought through this.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: Every time someone would tell me, oh, you're acting like you're holier than thou, you know, I accepted that attack and I would simmer down.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: I would turn the boiling pot that got God had had me on fire, and the water was boiling, and I was working, doing righteous things, trying to live holy for God, trying to be good, trying to do things, and someone would, my pot would start boiling and boiling, and someone would come and say that, and I would have to, I would turn it way down.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: And then I would back out and then I step away.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: God's like the enemy is winning here.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: We have got to crush that stronghold.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: We have got to get rid of that thinking in our head.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: That is talking stuck.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: We're allowing that conversation to get up in our head.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: And instead of renewing our minds in the right way, it's going the opposite way.
- 21:20SPEAKER_00: Okay, we're going in reverse, folks.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: We cannot be doing that.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: We need to stay clearly focused on what God really wants us to be doing.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: So let me let me show you something.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: I want you to look at a scripture which will help you, hopefully, help you keep in mind of the things that we should be thinking about.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Okay, so Philippians 4 8.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: I like this scripture.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: I I like it because it kind of puts puts um things into perspective.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Philippians 4 8 says, Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things Things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are a good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: Here's the big word.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: Think.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: What are we doing in our mind?
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: We're thinking, think on these things.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: You want to know a good way to start renewing your mind?
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: Start thinking on these things.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: Right here.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: Here's a list of them.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: Write it down.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: Jot it down.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: Is what I'm saying honest?
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: Is what I'm saying true?
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Is what I'm listening to honest?
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Is what I'm listening to true?
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: Are they are they pure?
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: Or is it like margarine?
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: We're where we're we're exchanging margarine for butter, but we know margarine is not butter.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: It's not pure butter.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: There's no nothing pure about margarine, by the way, even though I love margarine.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: But I'm not knocking anybody that eats margarine because I do.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: I'm just using that as an example of something that's like, this is pure butter.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: This is pure.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: Well, we won't say what's in it.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: Still tastes good.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Hey, they sugarcoated it.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: So what whatsoever things are lovely, how often do we talk about lovely?
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: I love to talk about the trees.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: I love birds.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: I love flowers.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: Those that know me, they know my favorite birds and they know my favorite flowers.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: My my best friend, she she she's so amazing.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: She will see um pictures of cranes because that's that's my favorite.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: And she'll take a picture of it when she's driving by and she'll send it to me.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: She's like, hey, sis, I just saw this and I just wanted to share it with you because I'm I just seen it and made me think of you.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: That is so lovely to me.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: That is such a lovely thing to think on and to um ponder over.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Now I get to look at this beautiful picture of this beautiful bird, and you know, and and I just I just get to enjoy its loveliness, okay?
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: How we are with people.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: How are we lovely with people or are we just brutal?
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: Because I'm both.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: I can be both.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: We all can be both.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: There's not a person on this earth that that can swear up and down that they're just completely lovely all the time.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: Because I know that's hogwash and they are they need some serious renewing of the mind, okay?
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: So whatsoever things are good report of a good report.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: I thought about this for a minute, this part, and I thought, what does this exactly mean?
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: A good report.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: Ah, an example for you.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: When my kids are in school, when my daughter I'll say is in school, I've had many kids that I've taken to school and dealt with school.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: Anyway, let me shorten that up.
- 24:34SPEAKER_00: Um a couple years ago, she had a bad report card.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: She was missing 68 assignments for the semester and her grades weren't as good.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: And yada yada yada yada.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: Okay, she just had some work to do.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: So do I take that bad report and just cruelly obliterate her with it?
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: Of course I did.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: I'm a parent, okay?
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: And I'm a messed up parent.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: I I have I make mistakes, but okay.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: But I had to renew my thinking in it and be like, if I keep drilling her and telling her that this is such a bad report, she's never gonna try to make it a good report.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: So I had to flip my switch and instead of just getting on her, I started helping her.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: Instead of just um punishing, I started replenishing.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: And I know that sounds really awkward to say when you're dealing with a teenager, but it's effective.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: It is really effective.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: This last year, she has almost all straight A's.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: She was worried about every single assignment that was missing.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: She would go to her teachers, drove her teachers, and that's even her teachers would call me and say, Look, I'm a lazy teacher.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: I don't always get my assignments in the gradebook.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: Those assignments aren't really late.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: She's gonna get full credit once she once I get to them.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: You know, they just show up because they're in the system.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: Okay, I haven't put them in the system, so if they don't show up, they're gonna show up late, but she's done them, they're turned in.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: You know, this is my bad.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: This is my bad.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: And I actually had teachers come to her defense because she was doing such a good job.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: She wanted a good report and she got one.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: She got a good report, and then she got rewarded because I pay her for every A, every B.
- 26:15SPEAKER_00: I pay her for her grades, so she made like$90 that this semester.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: So good job for her.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: That's a good report, but you got to think about how that report is being dealt with.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, is there any virtue?
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: Was there any praise?
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: Did I praise her with that bad report?
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: Probably not.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: No, I'm not even gonna say probably not.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: I did not praise her.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: I was I was like irritated.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: I was like, how is it, you know, this is happening?
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: You know, what, why, why, why was this and why is that?
- 26:43SPEAKER_00: What do we got to do next year to make this better?
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: Okay, and we did, we made it better because I didn't want her to go through that again.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: I wanted her her next report to be a good one.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: But instead of, you know, you know, first I had my little tantrum and had my little my pow wow and put my foot down and this is how it's gonna be kind of thing.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: And then I said, okay, but now let me help help you.
- 27:03SPEAKER_00: How can we start fixing this?
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's a good report.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: That's a good report.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: The the good part of the story is I could have kept on, you know, drilling her and and just just being on her constantly about it.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: Instead, I didn't.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: I said, let me let me know what I can do to help you.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: Let's let's let's work this out, okay?
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: So that's how we work these things out.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Okay, but it took me renewing my thinking and making a transformation in my mind, like, you know what, you know, she's only this age, this is, you know, just a school, school is so hard as it is, kids go through so much as it is.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: What can I do?
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: What can I do as a parent on my end of the deal to make the situation better?
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: And that's a whole nother topic for another episode, so I don't want to get too deep.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: So let's go back to how do we break the cycle of talking stuff?
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: How do we go there?
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: Okay, how do we literally jump into the cycle of breaking that down?
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: Well, when I shared with you in episode two, and I talked about um the ways to figure out what God's purpose is for your life, I shared, I think, um, six or eight different ways that you can make that connection happen.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: And I'm going to repeat that here because it's vital, it's important, and it's something that you really need to do every single day if you really want this renewing to happen and transformation to take place.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: If you really want to be on the winning side of crushing those strongholds, okay, we want to crush them.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: So prayer.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: Prayer and spending time with Jesus is so important.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: It is just absolutely a must.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: If you're not a diligent person, you don't keep a regular routine.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: Some people are absolutely dot the I's, crot the T's, everything's straight, nothing's uneven, everything's perfect.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: Like, they got it all together, kind of people.
- 28:54SPEAKER_00: They probably have their, okay, I'm gonna spend five minutes here, I'm gonna spend five minutes here, I'm gonna spend five minutes here, and I got 15 minutes to do this, okay?
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: I'm not that kind of person.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: When I start spending time with Jesus, I don't want to get out of bed, I just want to stay there spending more time with Jesus.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: I don't want to get up and do the things that I actually have to do.
- 29:11unknown: Okay.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: But it took me spending time in prayer and wanting to spend time with Jesus.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: That helped me break my transformation.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: That helped me start renewing my mind.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: The more time you spend with Jesus, the transformation is going to begin, by the way.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: There's no doubt about it, because that's how awesome our God is.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: Our God is going to, when you spend time with Him, you're going to see things transpire and happen in your life because it's inevitable.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: It's not stoppable.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: We have a powerful God that is going to fulfill his promises in his word.
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: I promise you.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: Once you start doing this, you're going to be like lit, okay?
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: Seriously lit up for him.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: So the more time you spend with Jesus, the less time, the less opportunities your mind has to wander and dwell on being stuck.
- 29:57SPEAKER_00: Think about that.
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: If you're filling your stomach with food, and you're going to start to get full eventually.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: When you get full, once you're full, you don't think about eating more food, do you?
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: Same with spending time with Jesus.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: You need to fill that void.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: You need to fill that up here.
- 30:15SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: And so one thing I do in the morning as I get up, I pray to I pray.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: I spend time with Jesus.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: I ask Jesus, what do you want me to work on today?
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: What can I do for you today?
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: What can I do to please you today, Lord?
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: It's not always a lot of times we wake up and we go, okay, God, here's another day.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: You gave me another day.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: This is what I want from you.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we need to ask God what He wants from us.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: He wants to know that we're willing to do our part.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: I mean, sometimes we just wake up with a silver platter on our hand and be like, okay, load me up, God.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: What are you going to give me today?
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: What are you going to give me today?
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: It doesn't necessarily work that way.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: Try that with your parents.
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: Has that ever worked with any of your parents?
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: I don't think so.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: Good luck, y'all.
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: If you're trying that, if you're trying that motive, good luck.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: Okay, so one thing I also do is I ask God, what can I do to help other people?
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: Because like I talked about in episode two, we are actually designed to be service-oriented.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: That means we are designed to actually want and desire to help other people, not just help ourselves.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: It's okay to help yourself, it's definitely okay to keep yourself healthy and well and take care of who you are, take care of who you are.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: But we're also designed, part of God's design is to be service-oriented, to serve in ministries, to serve in the homeless, to serve at your church, to serve in your family, to be a part of something where you're serving other people.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: There is so much joy and love.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: It's it's it's a lovely thing.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: Let me just say that.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: There's so much gratitude in serving other people.
- 31:55SPEAKER_00: It'll change your life.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: If you're not someone who helps anyone else out there, pick one person, just one person, and start helping them and see what happens in your life.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: Something's gonna change for you.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: So ask God, what where can I help others today?
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: Okay, renewing the mind and the spirit transformation.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: It all starts, you know, we're we're gonna go back to episode one where I talked about in 2 Corinthians 10, 5, when it talks about casting down the imaginations.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: Okay, this takes a bit of effort and work to shape and mold the new habits and patterns that come with psychological strongholds, which we talked about in episode one.
- 32:33SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: We want to make sure that those habits are being replaced with good habits.
- 32:39SPEAKER_00: And I know a lot of you are familiar with the habit transformation, which we will talk about in another episode as well.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: But the habit transformation takes so many days to break the habit, and then you got to do the next 28 days to um exchange the bad habit for the good habit and then get into the rhythm of having that so that habit never returns.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: It's a whole process.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: If you haven't gone through the habit changing cycle process, we will.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: It's important to actually look at that, okay?
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: But I want to share with you that keeping our focus on Jesus and not on the world will enlighten this transformation.
- 33:16SPEAKER_00: I promise you, you keep God's word in your hand and you hide it in your heart and you spend time with Jesus, this transformation is going to take place.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's go one step further, shall we?
- 33:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, as the renewing process is happening, as the renewing process is happening, transformation needs to take place.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: I mentioned this a little bit earlier in the beginning of this episode.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: Transformation really needs to take place.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: Okay, if it's not taking place, go back to the drawing board, go back to step one, go back to step one recognition.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: I need to recognize this is even happening so that I can start the process.
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: I have to understand this is a stronghold, this is having an effect on my life.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: It's a have an effect on how I live my life, what I think about myself, and what I think about others.
- 34:08SPEAKER_00: The way I talk matters.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: And if you're stuck in that, you can't get past that.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: You need to go back and start doing some soul searching.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: Start dissecting your thoughts and your mind, casting down those imaginations, pulling down the stronghold, pulling them down one by one by one.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: Take your thoughts captive.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: I asked you in the last two episodes a couple of questions.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: One of them is how do you take your thoughts captive?
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: How do you do that?
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: By as soon as the thought comes, you have to put it in check.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: Kind of like put it like at the checkout stand.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: You gotta check it out.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: Is this a good, is it, is this good for me or is this bad for me?
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: Is this good for somebody else?
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: Is this bad for somebody else?
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: If it's not, it's got to go.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Is this gonna please God?
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: It's got to go.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: Is this in God's perfect will?
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: Nope, got to go.
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: Nope, shh out, nope.
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: And then after that, it's done.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: My problem that I had with myself, nope, no lie.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: My problem would be I would cast out a thought and then I would think about that thought some more.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: So I didn't fully kind of like the catch and release on a fish.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like taking the fish and the hook still be in it and throwing it back in the water.
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: It would still be out the floating and still stuck on my fishing pole.
- 35:25SPEAKER_00: The thought would stay in my mind still, and I'd be thinking about it.
- 35:28SPEAKER_00: And slowly I'm reeling it back in because I'm not sure, or I'm I'm uneasy, or I'm confused, or whatever, whatever is going on in this crazy psychological mess that happens within, you know, our two between our two ears and behind our two eyes and all of this.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: So I had to think about that for a little while.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: Like, what is happening?
- 35:47SPEAKER_00: Well, we need to understand that God is not negative, he is a positive, he's a loving father that that cares so deeply, so deeply for us.
- 36:00SPEAKER_00: And he wants us in his perfect will.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: He has a plan and a purpose for our life.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: He literally created us with an assignment.
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: And if you don't know what that is, you might want to get the word of God out and start asking about God, what do you want me to do?
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: And sometimes we fulfill that assignment.
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we're actually listening to God and we do that.
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: We do that process.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: Okay, that process comes, you go through it, you finish the assignment, He takes you to another assignment.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: Part of me also had problems with letting go of the assignment I was working on.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what I'm not finished.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: And God's like, yes, you are.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: We're moving on now.
- 36:36SPEAKER_00: It's time to go to the next one.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: Okay, that that assignment is done.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: Let's move on.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: And so um we definitely want to keep in mind that while we're transforming, that transformation is actually taking place.
- 36:51SPEAKER_00: And we also need to keep in mind, you know, what our purpose is.
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: Some folks honestly are okay living a negative lifestyle.
- 36:59SPEAKER_00: They're okay with with dragging out day after day after day after day after day the poor me, the woe is me.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: Oh, like Eeyore, the big cloud uh, you know, that you carry around with you everywhere with the rain and it's all gray and doomy, and you never get to see the sun, you never get to see the light of day, you never get to see anything great because you know, we're so stuck in the poor me.
- 37:23SPEAKER_00: And what happens is you get into a comfort zone and you're comfortable there.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: You don't see that there's something better on the other side of that.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: That you're not being the best version of yourself when you're living that life.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: And what happens is it's not only affecting you, it's affecting everyone else around you as well.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: And people love you, they want to see you happy.
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: My family wants to see me happy.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: They love to be around me when I'm happy.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: They don't like to be around me when I'm not.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: Nobody does.
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: And we all have our moments.
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: There's not one person in the world that has not had a moment of unhappiness or negativity.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: Because we were born into sin.
- 38:01SPEAKER_00: We were born into an unperfect world.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: But God has a perfect plan.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: So are we gonna get in that perfect plan?
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: Or are we gonna keep on sitting underneath the cloud, talking stuck, staying stuck?
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: We don't want to do any of that.
- 38:16SPEAKER_00: We don't want to do that.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: We want to get out of that, we want to crush that.
- 38:19SPEAKER_00: So let me ask you this, guys.
- 38:21SPEAKER_00: I want to ask you this real quick.
- 38:23SPEAKER_00: Where are you today?
- 38:24SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: Where are you on the renewing of your own thoughts, your own mind?
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: What are you working through?
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: What are some of your strongholds while you're seeking God's purpose for your life?
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: What are they?
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: What are you facing?
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: If you would, just just send me a DM, send me a message, be like, hey, Mickey, you know, I'm really struggling with this.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: I'm really struggling with this.
- 38:46SPEAKER_00: Like I this one specific thing, it just drives the thorn in my side every day.
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: What do I do?
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: How can help me get past it?
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: And when I do my coaching, by the way, I design every single program for each individual that I coach.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: Because each individual has a stronghold that's different from somebody else.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: My strongholds may not be yours, and yours probably won't be mine.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: We may have some similarities, so there is a similar process to it, but it's individualized.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: You know why?
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: Because God created us individually.
- 39:23SPEAKER_00: God did not create any of us the same.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: So the outcome is going to be different than anybody else's.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: So when you start coming out of it, so when I started getting renewed and I started crushing strongholds in my own life, I just want to share this with you because it's very important.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: Not everybody was happy for me.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: Not everybody was excited.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: People are like, oh, look at her, look what she's doing now.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: All the negative.
- 39:47SPEAKER_00: That negative stops right at the checkout point.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: Be I'm done with you.
- 39:51SPEAKER_00: I'm done with that.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: You can go tell whoever you want that.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: I don't really care.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: You're not telling me that.
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: I know who's talking to me, and that's God.
- 39:58SPEAKER_00: I know who I'm listening to, and that's God.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: I know what word I'm reading, that's God.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: I know what positive intake I'm taking in, and that is God.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: Nobody else.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: I'm not listening to any of that any longer.
- 40:09SPEAKER_00: Door shut, close, sign sealed, delivered.
- 40:12SPEAKER_00: Okay, we're done.
- 40:13SPEAKER_00: You need to do that.
- 40:15SPEAKER_00: That's where you take authority in your life and what you want and how you want to have things transform in your life.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 40:24SPEAKER_00: But be mindful, be cognizant, understand what you're doing.
- 40:28SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: Um, I try to do it um gracefully, not always have I been.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: There's times where it just came out my mouth, and I was like, oh, and you know what they say about words, you can't take them back.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: Even if you apologize a hundred times, some people just can't let things go.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 40:47SPEAKER_00: Hurt is hurt, pain is pain.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: But there is power behind that pain.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: There is transformation.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: You can break the trauma, okay?
- 40:55SPEAKER_00: And you can become triumph in triumph.
- 40:57SPEAKER_00: You can.
- 40:58SPEAKER_00: There is so much overcoming to be done in this world today.
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of hurting people out there.
- 41:03SPEAKER_00: And it starts with breaking one stronghold at a time.
- 41:06SPEAKER_00: Did you know that one stronghold?
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: You start crushing one stronghold in your life, and then the next one, and the next one, and that pain starts to heal.
- 41:15SPEAKER_00: That pain starts to go away.
- 41:16SPEAKER_00: You start developing some power.
- 41:18SPEAKER_00: You take that trauma and you and you work it for the good that it was meant for.
- 41:25SPEAKER_00: A lot of people don't understand that the trauma in our life, they say, Well, why did God do this to me?
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: I did this.
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: This was me.
- 41:32SPEAKER_00: The why God?
- 41:33SPEAKER_00: That episode is coming, the why God.
- 41:36SPEAKER_00: Um, because there was something God needed to bring you through.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: You had to go through it in order to become the better version of yourself, not just the woe was me version of yourself, the stuck.
- 41:49SPEAKER_00: So we're gonna continue to talk about getting unstuck.
- 41:53SPEAKER_00: Stop talking stuck, stop talking negative, stop putting yourself down.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: You are worthy, you are love, you are amazing, you are able, you are not a failure, you're a conqueror.
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: You have got this, you've got this.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: And with God, you definitely have it.
- 42:09SPEAKER_00: Okay, you definitely have it.
- 42:12SPEAKER_00: So, in closing today, I just want to share with you that our next episode um ties this all together, all four of these episodes together.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: So, thank you for sticking with me.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry if I keep going too long.
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: I'm trying not to do that.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: Um, it's so hard.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: I just want to share so much with you all, and I just I just want to keep going and keep going and keep going.
- 42:31SPEAKER_00: So that's a good thing, right?
- 42:33SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: Um, I just appreciate each and every one of you.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: I love you.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: If you have any prayer for anything, please reach out to me.
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: I just want to pray for you.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: I will pray for you for anything.
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: I don't care what it is.
- 42:45SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: I I just want to share one little story before I get off from here.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: You guys are gonna be like, girl, enough already.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: Um, I was at a homeless ministry and we were doing prayer at the end um with our altar call, altar call.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: And a gal came up to me that I knew I was I was a friend, I was a friend with her, and we were just praying over each other, and she came up to me.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: And and this was at a time that I was really struggling with prayer, and I honestly wasn't even sure if my prayers were even effective.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: This is how negative I was talking, by the way, to myself, because that's hogwash.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, don't ever think your prayers are not effective or good enough for God.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: That's the devil, that's a lie.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: And I was really struggling with that, and that's another testimony for later, but my friend came up and said, Can you pray for me?
- 43:27SPEAKER_00: And I said, I don't think I can pray for you right now.
- 43:29SPEAKER_00: I really said that.
- 43:30SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, wait, I'm in ministry.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: And I just told her I can't pray for her.
- 43:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, good Lord, shame on me.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: And she was like, It's I go, I go, I don't, I don't know, you know, I'm not very good at this pray praying over people thing.
- 43:42SPEAKER_00: And and um, she said, Well, can I pray for you then?
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: And I said, Absolutely, bring it on.
- 43:47SPEAKER_00: And so she was praying over me and she was giving me strength.
- 43:51SPEAKER_00: And while she prayed over me, she also prayed over herself for what she was asking me for prayer for.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: And I said, Girl, is that all you were wanting prayer over?
- 43:58SPEAKER_00: And she goes, Yeah, and I go, Well, by all means, I definitely I definitely could pray for you for that.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: So when she got done, I prayed over her.
- 44:05SPEAKER_00: And so, long story short, we both got prayer.
- 44:08SPEAKER_00: We both, you know, just the Holy Spirit um showed up and and it was amazing and it was great.
- 44:14SPEAKER_00: So we need to remember that if you need prayer for anything, don't feel stupid.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: Your prayers are not stupid at all.
- 44:20SPEAKER_00: So if anybody ever tells you that, another word that needs to be shut at the checkout stand, it needs to go, okay?
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: Checking that out, it's gotta go.
- 44:28SPEAKER_00: Um, it's not gonna get by you, not today.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: Bring it to the table.
- 44:33SPEAKER_00: Let me know.
- 44:34SPEAKER_00: I will pray for you.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: Next week's episode is called Activation Takes Action.
- 44:39SPEAKER_00: And we are gonna be talking about how to actually use the word of God and how the word of God um took pivotal um changes in people's lives and what became historical in um the action that action actually happened in the Bible.
- 44:56SPEAKER_00: So it took activation.
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: And how do we how do how does that look for what we're doing and what we're dealing with with crushing strongholds?
- 45:03SPEAKER_00: So I really want to make sure that we're talking about that.
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: We dive into it today or next episode, excuse me, not today.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: We're done for today, by the way.
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: Um, and I just want to say thank you for being here.
- 45:13SPEAKER_00: I'm I've been super excited to have you and love sharing all that I can with everyone.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: And again, if you need prayer, let me know.
- 45:23SPEAKER_00: I hope you have a blessed and amazing day.
- 45:25SPEAKER_00: And y'all just take care.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: Talk to you later.
