- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: We begin tonight from the seller studio with an I told you so.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: I told you the Panthers stink, podcast hit the end of the last week, not the Saturday one, but this whole thing about like, oh, I don't know about Rico Dowdoll.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: No, I watched them two weeks ago.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care what they did against the Falcons last week.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: I watched them two weeks ago in New Orleans and said they stink.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: Her passing game is not good.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's it.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: They're not good enough.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: And they weren't good enough.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: And this is the blessing.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I say, for all of the the Niners are so unlucky, the Niners are so unlucky.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: And they've had some, horribly unlucky breaks, I guess.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: But they're also lucky.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: They've had a lot of luck this year.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: One being, you know, I don't know if it's luck.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: I guess you could argue it goes in a different category,
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I know every time I say that, people like, well, this particular game is not part of that.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: Don't you realize that only a few of these, yeah, yeah, look, you get more misses.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody, every weekend, there's a, there's two teams.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: There's a game this weekend.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: There's multiple games where you're watching, like, wait, what is happening right now?
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: Why is, like, why is Miami beating Buffalo or whatever, right?
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: You look at some of these games and you just scratch your head every week.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: It happens to almost everybody.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: And the Texans are beating the bills, right?
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: That was one this weekend.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: But the point is, the bangles and the jets are nodded up.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: The point is, every team gets a couple of those.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: When you have a schedule like the 49ers, you get a bunch of them.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_00]: And today they got another one.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: Now you can't throw three interceptions in the first half and winning Cleveland this week.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like you are not beating Shidorah Sanders.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, really, you're not beating Lake Effect Cleveland.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: with three first half turnovers and then a fumble that you get back.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: You're not beating Indianapolis on Monday night football in India.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: You actually, you may not win any of your last three aims throwing three interceptions.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_00]: Chicago much better than Carolina.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't quite buy the ESPN promo they ran.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: There was like two heavy weights bears.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: Pat Eagles.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: So you're not beaten Seattle at the end of the year, the one, three, first, half-interceptions.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's almost felt like, and I don't, I'll say it's to make a point, I don't think this is what happened.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: But it almost felt like the, they not are open up the past game, because, like, we're playing Carolina.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: Now, that's not what happened.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: My feeling was that, like, the game plan was, we're going to hammer him with McAfrey and hammer him with Christian, the hammer with Christian, and then it's going to open up the past game.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I guess in a way, you could argue,
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: after at halftime and then really after the game Shanahan said he thought all three decisions by pretty were good which of course means the throws were bad and you and I didn't need Kyle Shanahan to tell us the throws were bad.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: The one that was really you know I thought the I would argue on the Pierce Hall decision.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: Oh it was a good decision.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: I would argue that because it was 36 you were at the
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: You're up seven and I think you just got kind of lucky because Bryce Young threw an interception on the one yard line on first and goal, awful.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: And he could have it, I thought he could have run for the first down party, at least could have run instead up like a fourth and one, which to me, you'd go for in that spot, even a fourth and two, but I thought he could have picked up the first down.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: It would have brought you down to the 22 yard line.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: That's where the line to game was.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: and these off balance and he'd lost it and it's, you know, that is in theory, like that throw is one that's in his toolbox, right, like the back foot over the middle throw where you really need your arm strength is not his throw.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: I thought the first interception was, I mean, situationally the first interception and the second interception were god awful, I thought.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, Shannon had shrugged them off in part because from his perspective, like, whatever.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm not about to replace him with Mag Jones.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's the franchise quarterback, so whatever.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's Kyle's attitude.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: And I do think, to Brock's credit, I didn't think any of the throws affected anything that came next, which,
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: you know plenty guys throw three picks you some guys go in the tank whenever seem again some kind of like I think kind of caropolo that is what would happen with him not that he's the standard here but so I guess there's there's that but I thought situation and they were bad I thought that you know the arm strength we talk about it there are just the rows that there are things that Brock pretty does that have to overcome for the fact that he doesn't have a big arm
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: And it really shows up to me in a couple of spots.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think it shows up sometimes in the red zone, where the windows are tighter, and the field is more crowded and the velocity matters.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: And it shows up when you're a little late over the middle.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that first pick, I can't like, dude was open enough.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: But they were tean off on them in the first half, because it's, you know, 90 mile in our fastballs.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: the personal one is just a miss to me that was a bad decision so i i will disagree there and and i think there's no question like it's there's not some big referendum every block party and block hasn't been great among the night's every block pretty especially the national tv games and because he's been hurt this year i think it's easier forget that he is still a very hot button debate qb rightfully so on you are not going to get like
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: and the debate for me.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: I've always thought that stuff is ridiculous.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: People are like, oh, it's not even a conversation anymore.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's always a conversation.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: If you're playing quarterback, the NFL.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: It stops being a conversation when you come a Hall of Famer.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: And even then, like at the end of Peyton Manning's career, you Super Bowl champion, multiple time MVP, clear Hall of Famer has a neck injury and we're still debating the guy.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: Not debating whether he's great, but like, well, is he choke or what's the deal?
- 6:34[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, the miss me with, oh, why are we still having this conversation?
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's totally fair.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: Every quarterback is subjected to it.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: Every single one, especially when I was going to get paid a lot of money.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: So it's totally fair.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: Also, it does feel like Brock's games are every game is like a referendum.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: You throw us three touchdowns and
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: doesn't have the arm can't hack it.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, he's worthy of criticism.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: No question.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: Luckily, you've gotten me, Goldilocks.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's false.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's just the right temperature when it comes to Brock Party.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing to say about it today is just, you can, he has to button it down a little bit.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think one of the challenges for a quarterback
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: the balance between who they are and who they want to be.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: And most guys of a certain age wanted to be Brett Farf.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_00]: And then they want to be Aaron Rogers.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: And the good news is, if you are an NFL, if you're a borderline NFL quarterback in high school, you probably got to be Aaron Rogers in Brett Farf.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then in college, you might have been able to be those guys.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: And the complicated thing with Brock is that one of the benefits of Brock is the mobility and the creativity.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's one of the things that I just often has that it didn't have before with Jimmy Garabla.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: But again, Jimmy's not the gold standard here.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's just the guy that came before.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, one thing I always love to do is look at big time throws on PFF.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the BL end all, but I do think it's interesting because to me, it tells you like, there's this perception that a quarterback has to make seven crazy throws again.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: And the reality is it's not that many.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: You got to make a bunch of good decisions followed by good decisions.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to string really good decisions together.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't talked about PFF in a while, but the zero throws, right?
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: These are the, the, the, the, the, the price of admission throws, they're good
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: not that they're just their NFL QB throws and then there's like the point five throws.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_00]: If you're new here, I once graded an entire 49er's campus, Tray Lance Mack Jones, Brock Perti using that PFF scale.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's zero to plus 2.5 to minus 2.5.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: And what you find is the exceptional pros are rare.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: that it's really about making the good throws over and over and over again.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then when an opportunity or two comes for a big time throw, you make that throw.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: And the perception is that you make, I think, the perception is like, I would have thought this.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: You make six to seven of those again.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: And the reality is that's not the case.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: So let's just for fun, look right now.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: Where do things stand?
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: PFF, you know, great assault on these grades.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think this is the numbers probably accurate.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: Stafford, generally,
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, is at the top of the league in this category, you're in and you're out.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: Stafford is near the top of the league in big time throws.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: Right now we second.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: Sam Darnold is first.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: Let's interested in who it is and more interested in what the number is.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: The number is 25.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: Darnold leads the league with 25 big time throws.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't, I try to remember Josh about the appeal and remember I haven't looked at the big time throws excellent ball.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: 1.5 or 2.0 graded throws, I don't remember exactly.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: But the point is, he's played 11 games.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: So that's like two and change throws per game.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: Big time throws that you got to make.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: Two and change.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: Like, so with Brock, there's this feeling, I think in his mind, he wants to go make all these plays.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: People are gonna hate this, don't misconstru this, do not misconstru this.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm setting myself up to get.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm setting myself up to get smacked in the comments, but he's got to play like this Garoppolo level baseline.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: people go, oh, that's not a franchise could be hold on.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: But with his extra spice, which is the difference between being the kind of guy you're trying to replace every two years.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: And the kind of guy that gets to be your quarterback for for seven or eight or neither, you know, is your franchise quarterback.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's not, he's not the top of the line franchise quarterback, obviously, but for him to be at his best, he's got a string good throw, they win that game.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Even bigger than they did,
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: Like the two things go to the decision and the throw have to fit, you know, there are plenty of backup quarterbacks who make good decisions can't make the throw.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: So the more I think about it, the more I don't like that.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like good decisions, yeah, you, there's a lot of guys that can make good decisions can make a throw.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_00]: There's some guys that can make the throw, but make awful decisions.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: The top 12, 15 quarterbacks are the guys that do both in big spots.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: And certainly, you're not going to put the ball at risk third down when you can run for it in the red zone against the Panthers.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like, why give them life?
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: You don't need to go to the kill shot.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_00]: Here in the first quarter, second quarter, second quarter.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I didn't like that.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: But again, they want to get.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: They want the game.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, to me, there's not some like grand conclusion that comes out of it.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's why I feel like I don't want to hammer that point
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: kind of like whatever.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: You had to win the game.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_00]: You had to to me like not let it be a 13 to 10 game.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_00]: That would have been hideous.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's felt like Thursday night football.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: Not let it be a three point game.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to not see the Panthers offense.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to see your defense win that game, right?
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like win the battle with the Panthers offense.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: They did decisively.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: You wanted to see Matt Gay makes him kicks.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: He did when he had to.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: I said it last week.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: Carolina wins games by three.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: And otherwise gets blown out.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I wasn't afraid of him.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: From a nine perspective.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to fall for respect in the opponent.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: And like all these games are hard and blah, blah, blah.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, that starts this week with Cleveland, who.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's been a big shit or Sanders.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: We got was a 10 to 22 or something throw on the ball 11 to 20 11 to 22 9.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_00]: You can run around a little bit.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: Make a couple of throws.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: Whether what's the weather going to be in Cleveland Lake effects snow.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, it's going to be cold.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be snowy and oh, yeah, boy.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: snowy 34, 38 degrees, maybe snowy on Sunday, like I relish these opportunities to watch Brock pretty play and, you know, kind of, you don't want to go out there playing like he's got to prove something, but kind of prove something.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: So, fine win, you even saw if you saw the interview the Christian McCaffrey did post game on the field at least the soldiers.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, you know, good way, even you could tell you he wanted to say like good win, but like not really, but all the wins are hard.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: And so,
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: good.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, to me, of the remaining games, that's that's in the easiest category with Tennessee when you're coming off a buy and uh, Tennessee's coming off a game at Cleveland.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, now you're back in the playoff picture in the NFC 8 and 4, put you a half a game at one game ahead of Detroit in the wind column.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: To me, the thing that's been
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: The most relevant thing that's happened for the 49ers in the last few weeks is that Chicago keeps winning.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: Games are they easily could lose but win, which is a credit to them.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: Chicago pulled out against the Steelers by three.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: They pulled around against the Vikings by two.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: They pulled out against the Giants by four.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: They pulled out against the Magos by five.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: 4742.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: who you beat matters here down the stretch for the 49ers.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I said a few weeks ago, like, do you win four, well, I think when they had 8 to play 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, maybe it was come off the ram's loss.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: That was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, whatever it was, I don't remember, but it was going into the ram's game.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it was.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_00]: It was going into the ram's game to hit 8 to play,
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: But which four matters?
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: Especially if you said down the stretch you definitely beat Chicago and Seattle in the year you're in the playoffs Now you beat Carolina you beat Cleveland and Then you come off the Biden and you beat Tennessee now you're in what nine one two no, I say I think that that's that was this thing to an update four five six seven here.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so be Cleveland be Tennessee or 10
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: You're rich, eh, but the fact that Chicago keeps winning, and see, I don't keep winning for that matter, you gotta keep going, too.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Chicago plays Philly, and they go to Green Bay, they go to Philly, to Green Bay.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: There's good little stuff.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: They play the Browns at home, they play Green Bay again, they go to the Niners, and then they play the lines in the end of the year, which, you know, that game might really matter.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: That could be a huge game to trade in Chicago.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_00]: So, there's good little stuff, but,
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: Give them credit.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: They're in a different category as I expect them to be a different category than Carolina.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I thought Joanne Jennings, you know, in a week we talked about IU and I said last week, could we see IU gone and Jennings back?
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I repeated it again this week and I'll repeatedly again now.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know the Jen.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a predicting of the Jennings is back.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: But I do give him credit for a got weird.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, how is this going to take a weird, weird, weird
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: And instead, he got healthy and started really playing like their best receiver again.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: You know Ricky Pierce all didn't do much of anything that I and Joanne Jennings again was the best for like most games of series that when he places their best receiver since Ricky Pierce all went out.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you know, I think Ricky can come back and be productive again, but
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: I expect him to make plays and they try to make, you know, Brock makes a good throw.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about what a dynamic, what a, what a dynamic, where he personal adds.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: But I am really interested what's the price going to be?
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think for Jennings, I haven't done the, maybe somebody else has it like a now.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: What is the free agent receiver market going to look like?
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: And how much is Jennings really going to project to get?
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: But to me, there's a world where there's a number that's like, not crazy.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: But he didn't get it.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: And part of the reason he didn't get the number that he wanted was that nobody else was going to trade for him and pay him that either.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not sure if that number is out there for Joanne Jennings.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think, I would be comfortable with him back at the right number, because I think he really had something to your team.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: physicality, toughness, and I think he displayed it this year simply by getting through whatever that weirdness was, and playing his ass off again.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: Blocking, catching the ball, picking up first downs, fighting for extra yards.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's, that's a fit.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: So there was a minute there this year where it looked like he wouldn't be back any under any circumstances.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: And to me, it's like, he might not be back, but it'll, it's a financial decision.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't, I wouldn't give up on that, you know, yeah, that's all.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's, that's the point now.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty up.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: Six interceptions on the air.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: Same as Mac Jones.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_00]: Can't have that.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: McAfrey 3.7 yards of carry, which is
- 18:34[SPEAKER_00]: matches year one, these numbers have an updated after this game, but matches year one for the lowest of his career, and, you know, I, it's one of the great 3.7 yard precarious seasons that I've seen, I think, he is just,
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: He just matters so much to them.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_00]: He is the definition of a workhorse, except more.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like what's a workhorse end dynamic, but where the numbers aren't explosive, for a guy who's 3.7 yards per carry, to me what's impressive is, and I know this isn't the case because the math doesn't work, but a lot of times like,
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: A guy that's 3.7 to me would have more yards, more carries that don't go anywhere than this guy does.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: But he still just gets yet 3.7, but it might be four on first, down, out, second, and six.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't feel like a lot, but it's like you just, you are, he keeps them on time.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just been, it's been, I'm not quite seen a season quite like this one
- 19:48[SPEAKER_00]: uh... in regards to radio just an allegory calling in today did a great job uh... i will not be back on four minutes radio fill it in for Greg pop i did i was watching pop a talk to me ok one youtube sunday and he was wearing the old two six two had which was uh... appreciate great rock in the two six two egg of Greg's collection of hats is pretty unbelievable
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: pretty unbelievable.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_00]: I love Josh Doobal speaking at Greg, Josh Doobal's post there that I think, I don't even, I, going back however many coaches, Jack, though, reels the only one with a winning record for the Raiders.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: Unbelievable, um, anyway.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: So the 40 matter schedule, now I'll be back.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: The plan is to not do in Cleveland, which is this week, then they're on a buy.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then schedule for the following Tennessee Colts Bears Seahawks, I'll be calling those games on radio.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm excited.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't called it nine or game on radio.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: Since the Falcons game October 19th, been a while.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: been a while.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: Baby is two weeks old today, Monday, if you're watching this Tuesday, it was two weeks ago, Tuesday, and he is witness dramatic wins over the Cardinals and the Panthers.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: And now it gets the Browns.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: So to him, the chiefs and the bills and the ravens, these are teams that play in some other league, because the diners league is the cardinals and the Panthers and the Browns and the Titans.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: apparently.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: One thing I'm waiting on, you know, I said something I said about Seattle, this will be a little further down, but now we're getting in quick on indie, which I'm looking forward to making that trip for Monday Football with the team.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: That, you know, they were hot early.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, let's just, let's just see how things go.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: And one of the losses was the Pittsburgh beat Atlanta by six, lost the Kansas City.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: There's no shame in losing at Kansas City by three.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: You plan, Pat.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, you know, you're playing the homes.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_00]: They play the taxes, the jacks, the c-hawks.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, the taxes are playing good football.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: Texans are one, four, five.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now, including wins over the writers, most recently the bills.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_00]: What's the cold steel by the time the nine was rolled into?
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: Indianapolis.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's at the top of my, just kind of at the top of the watch list right now.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_00]: Anything else I want to mention from the game?
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, two weeks in a row, I think something that we haven't talked about in a while, special things have been good, knock on wood, special things
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know, in a way one of the game last week, just with the return to start, you get to play from a head and another good return today.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: So coverage team has been, has been good kicking game has been good.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: So shout out to Brent Boyer and I think the other question I would have is it was part of the Monday night football crews discussion during the game that after the game has got to impell.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: is Robert Sally going to be one and done.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I know, I think everybody knows that watches his team statistically what they are.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: And yet, he's done a good job.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when you lose Fred Warner and Nick Bosa, no one really holds it against you, when you're 30th in this category, and 31st in this category, whatever.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_00]: And,
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think that makes him look like I think he looks in a way, if he had Warner and Bosa and had the number two defense in the league, that'd be really impressive.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm not hiring a defensive coordinator to be my head coach.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm hiring a head coach to be my head coach.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: When you have all the adversity they've dealt with and still have a team playing hard and like I'm Monday night, like I think these guys are flying around.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: To me, that is almost a better argument for him to be a head coach again, because he doesn't, you know, he's not calling the defense, then the fact that, you know, then if he had the star players, the defense was rock and roll, and then one of the best in the league.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: In a weird way, I think the struggles have made for a better argument for him.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: I guess the question is, you know, what job is open, where you go, and is it land a going to be open when they go back to a non-offensive coach,
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, you know, I don't know which job is going to be open that he would like to me there's no there's no like I'm not taking that job if you're Robert saw right.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: The raiders won't be interesting like the raiders job open.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: Do you take that job?
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying Pete's getting fired, but Cincinnati opens.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: Do you take that job?
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: Hell, yes.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: You take that job.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: Miami open.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: Do you take that job?
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: Hell, yes.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: You take that job.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: Miami's kind of interesting to me because they just did the O.C.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, play color guy is the head coach.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: But can you go back to the same tree with a guy that just failed in your division?
- 25:09[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, maybe that's a little weird.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: But as always, you know, it's hard to find.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: There's just not a lot of these jobs.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: And Jacksonville's playing good.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, not that Liam Cole was going to get fired.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: But Pittsburgh, if you, to me, if you fire my Tom and you got to do it because you're hiring, you know, Ben Johnson, guy, you know, or you doing something crazy.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy, right?
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: jet fish.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: If you're firing my town like you are, you have got to really shake it up.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: Tennessee.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's weird.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: So to me, it feels like he's trending towards getting a job, but you still have to find the job that fits and that's a little bit harder anyway.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's that for this.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think that we'll see Tuesday morning.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think the wind's important.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: I think the party play, the three interceptions will get a lot of run in the next couple of days.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: Which is fine, like it's deserved.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: That's deserved.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: But,
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'm not, I'm not doing some big referendum on it after I don't think he, like he, oh, his arm is good enough to make that throw if he's going to be laid on it.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we knew that already.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's not new information.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: We'll stab her to make that throw.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's a different player.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, all right, on that note, um, thanksgiving week, you know, I'll say having the baby.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of thrown because I've just been home, waking up at whatever time.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: just all hours of the day all over the map.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: I have started some of you will be happy to know.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: I've started GFF scoring poops, 0s, 1.0s, 1.5s.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: There was one negative one poop.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: I got to say.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: And not proud of this, but the kid did pee in his own eyeball and about five a.m. on Monday
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: It was a miss, got a little, no pun intended, got a little cocky, stop covering, you know, exposed to air cover, do the switch.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: Mill, you know, early morning didn't cover.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: Next thing, you know, just water cannons from across the bow just missed me and a bam, little man,
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I can't see anything anyway at this point.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like his vision was impaired.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not sure about his memory.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't want to test it with another trauma tonight.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully there won't be one, knock on wood again, and all is well, and everybody has a great Thanksgiving.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: So we'd like to do another show before Thanksgiving probably, yes, of course.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe, I don't know.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: But if I don't, I think I will, but if I don't,
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: Make good decisions.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's a food comment.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my wife will say it to me before I make a road trip.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Like make good decisions.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: And for a lot of people, that means like, don't get blank out drunk.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_00]: For me, that means, you know, don't go burger fries and then ice cream back to back knives.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_00]: Make good decisions.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, make a decisions in all aspects.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_00]: And a few bad ones.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, y'all.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: Talks in.
