- 1:08Speaker 14: The live transmission has begun, and we're into the final
- 1:12Speaker 14: hour of hell.
- 1:34Speaker 11: What's up, and welcome to Movie Meltdown's Attack of the
- 1:36Speaker 11: Killers soundtrack. I'm Brian, and this week we are joined
- 1:39Speaker 11: by not one, but five special guests. That's right, this
- 1:43Speaker 11: week I sit down with the Dead Deads. Comprised of
- 1:45Speaker 11: Billy Dead, Betty Dead, Hella Dead, Meta Dead, and Daisy Dead,
- 1:49Speaker 11: these five came from three previous bands to form one
- 1:52Speaker 11: supergroup based out of Nashville, Tennessee. Now, as far as
- 1:55Speaker 11: their sound, well, that was one of my favorite parts
- 1:57Speaker 11: when I first heard them. They didn't really fit a
- 2:00Speaker 11: specific little subgenre. There were a lot of different things,
- 2:03Speaker 11: but most important in that process, they created their own sound. Now,
- 2:07Speaker 11: on their own social media, there's a portion that describes
- 2:10Speaker 11: them as a metal rock punk dance party. And it
- 2:12Speaker 11: also mentions that they sound like a well-organized genre explosion
- 2:15Speaker 11: in Drop D. And actually, I think we should just
- 2:18Speaker 11: leave it at that and let them and their music
- 2:20Speaker 11: speak for itself. So let's do that now as we
- 2:22Speaker 11: head to the venue and talk to the band just
- 2:24Speaker 11: before they go on stage for.
- 2:25Speaker 6: Their performance that night.
- 2:44Speaker 11: So All right, so we are here with the Dead Deads.
- 2:52Speaker 11: I guess we have to, I guess, first introduce yourselves individually.
- 2:56Speaker 15: Okay, I will begin. I am Meta Dead.
- 2:59Speaker 9: I do lead vocals and play guitar in the band.
- 3:02Speaker 16: I am Hella Dead, and I do vocals and keys.
- 3:06Speaker 17: I'm Billy Dead. I do vocals and I drum.
- 3:09Speaker 11: All right, so to get the Business out of the way.
- 3:13Speaker 11: I'm sure you've never answered the obligatory how'd the band
- 3:16Speaker 11: come together question before.
- 3:18Speaker 8: What?
- 3:20Speaker 1: I'm not even prepared for that.
- 3:22Speaker 9: I have no memory of getting together with these gals.
- 3:27Speaker 6: You showed up tonight.
- 3:28Speaker 17: I don't know who they are.
- 3:29Speaker 2: A big shot paid us each $ 1 million to be
- 3:32Speaker 2: in this super group.
- 3:34Speaker 11: You've really never seen each other. You just all ended
- 3:36Speaker 11: up here with the same makeup?
- 3:38Speaker 17: Yeah, we're just fans of the band that we don't
- 3:40Speaker 17: even know.
- 3:40Speaker 9: We saw Miley Cyrus do it and we're like, cute.
- 3:43Speaker 6: Good role model.
- 3:44Speaker 16: No, she did it after us.
- 3:46Speaker 6: She did.
- 3:46Speaker 17: That's true.
- 3:47Speaker 16: She copied us.
- 3:48Speaker 6: She's kind of a hack.
- 3:51Speaker 15: I like, I like old Miley.
- 3:52Speaker 16: Her Instagram is hilarious.
- 3:55Speaker 15: She's pretty punky.
- 3:56Speaker 6: I admire the fact that she does not care what
- 3:58Speaker 6: she does.
- 3:59Speaker 15: I admire that as well.
- 4:00Speaker 11: Now she's not the most original in the way she
- 4:02Speaker 11: goes about some of it, but she does not care.
- 4:05Speaker 17: She's original with her Instagram pizza pictures.
- 4:08Speaker 6: That's everyone at this point.
- 4:10Speaker 17: I'm a fan of pizza.
- 4:12Speaker 15: She's the only punk rock artist that's a millionaire.
- 4:15Speaker 11: That's, I think what we've realized now is whether you're
- 4:18Speaker 11: a multimillionaire or just some idiot at the pizza shop,
- 4:21Speaker 11: all of our Instagrams are not really that far off.
- 4:23Speaker 6: No, it's all cats and dogs and food. And that's
- 4:26Speaker 6: all we have.
- 4:27Speaker 9: We are one. We are one.
- 4:29Speaker 6: So, so meta.
- 4:31Speaker 11: So do you, whatever you'd really like to put out
- 4:33Speaker 11: there or make up a better story of the origin.
- 4:36Speaker 9: We, uh, we've been together playing, uh, about a year
- 4:39Speaker 9: and a half. And, uh, Two of the members are
- 4:44Speaker 9: kind of relatively from the Louisville area.
- 4:47Speaker 15: And three of the members are, you know, from Tennessee.
- 4:50Speaker 9: And we just all hooked up and started jamming together
- 4:54Speaker 9: as just kind of like a girls club.
- 4:57Speaker 15: No plans on anything.
- 4:59Speaker 17: Supposed to be just for funsies.
- 5:01Speaker 9: And then people were like, what are you guys doing?
- 5:04Speaker 9: And so we played a show and I told all
- 5:06Speaker 9: the girls, hey, if nobody likes it, don't get your
- 5:09Speaker 9: feelings hurt.
- 5:10Speaker 6: And then that didn't.
- 5:11Speaker 15: Everybody liked it, so we kept doing it.
- 5:13Speaker 6: That's a good reason to keep doing it.
- 5:15Speaker 17: Yeah. No one hates us.
- 5:18Speaker 11: I guess if nothing else, we should probably give them
- 5:20Speaker 11: a good idea of what it sounds like.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Yeah, totally. So what would be a good song just
- 5:25Speaker 6: to intro them to the band?
- 5:27Speaker 9: I think Rainbow is a nice song to intro people
- 5:30Speaker 9: on because it's a little more on the quirky side
- 5:33Speaker 9: of what we do, but it's nice and short, so
- 5:35Speaker 9: if you hate it, it's over fast. It also has
- 5:38Speaker 9: no cursing. And I scream about stuff, and it's cute.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Wait, we needed one that had cursing for this particular.
- 5:46Speaker 6: No, you'll just have to fill in in between songs.
- 5:49Speaker 9: Just everybody yell fuck anytime I'm not singing. It's an
- 5:54Speaker 9: add your own curse song.
- 5:56Speaker 17: Mad Libs song.
- 5:57Speaker 9: Just curse whenever I'm not singing, and there you go.
- 6:01Speaker 6: It's like this all day long, isn't it? Everywhere you go,
- 6:05Speaker 6: she's just cursing.
- 6:06Speaker 17: People just curse at us.
- 6:07Speaker 9: Just don't leave any blank space or someone's going to curse.
- 6:39Speaker 8: Yeah. Yeah. Let us run!
- 7:48Speaker 3: Thank you. I love you.
- 8:56Speaker 6: All right.
- 8:56Speaker 11: So do you want to do influences or are we
- 8:59Speaker 11: sick of those two?
- 9:00Speaker 9: No, I'm not sick of anything. What are the stuff.
- 9:03Speaker 6: That you love? That's always a better version.
- 9:05Speaker 17: The stuff we love?
- 9:06Speaker 16: We love life.
- 9:07Speaker 6: Just music and life. Long walks on the beach.
- 9:11Speaker 16: Live, laugh, love, guys.
- 9:13Speaker 9: Hashtag truly blessed.
- 9:18Speaker 17: Uh, influences. Well, um, this is Billy dead.
- 9:22Speaker 1: And since I like to beat the shit out of
- 9:25Speaker 1: the drums, one of my influences would be Taylor Hawkins.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Probably my main influence for sure. She smiles big like
- 9:32Speaker 1: him when she plays.
- 9:33Speaker 15: It's super cute.
- 9:34Speaker 17: He and I have good teeth, so we like to
- 9:36Speaker 17: share it.
- 9:37Speaker 2: I feel like Elvis should be one of your influences
- 9:40Speaker 2: because you do the Elvis mouth.
- 9:41Speaker 15: I think that's more of a Billy Idol mouth.
- 9:43Speaker 17: That's a Billy Idol mouth. That's the name Billy Dead.
- 9:46Speaker 17: I would like to correct. Hello.
- 9:48Speaker 16: I feel like maybe you resemble him a little bit.
- 9:52Speaker 17: I look like his daughter.
- 9:53Speaker 15: Our drama looks like Elvis.
- 9:55Speaker 6: There's nothing wrong with that.
- 9:56Speaker 16: Thank you. You look like Elvis' daughter because you look
- 9:58Speaker 16: like Priscilla.
- 9:58Speaker 17: Thank you very much.
- 10:00Speaker 10: Much.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I kind of look... There we go. We have
- 10:02Speaker 1: Elvis' daughter in our band. So I'm of the Presley bloodline,
- 10:07Speaker 1: now that you know.
- 10:08Speaker 6: So someday you'll be buried in the backyard.
- 10:10Speaker 17: Is what you're doing.
- 10:11Speaker 18: Yeah, cool.
- 10:11Speaker 9: Yeah, cool.
- 10:12Speaker 17: It's a nice place.
- 10:13Speaker 9: I think our band has a lot of different influences.
- 10:16Speaker 9: There's some metal, there's some grunge, punk.
- 10:20Speaker 9: But it's very different from girl to girl, like very different.
- 10:24Speaker 9: So it's always funny when people ask that question because
- 10:26Speaker 9: we're just like, you know, everything from Celine Dion to Meshuggah.
- 10:31Speaker 17: It's all there. Who in the band likes Celine? I'm
- 10:35Speaker 17: going to kick their ass.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Well, this brings to light that we're going to be
- 10:40Speaker 2: talking about film here. And I've never brought up one
- 10:44Speaker 2: of my influences, which I believe is pretty strong.
- 10:48Speaker 1: All right.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Which is also a film influence is Spinal Tap.
- 10:53Speaker 16: So definitely a.
- 10:55Speaker 6: Key moment for a lot of musicians. Film lovers alike.
- 10:59Speaker 16: Film lovers alike.
- 11:00Speaker 9: I feel like our entire career will.
- 11:05Speaker 6: Follow that movie forever.
- 11:08Speaker 15: Along its course.
- 11:10Speaker 2: And Tenacious D, I never mentioned before, but that's... What's
- 11:14Speaker 2: my problem?
- 11:15Speaker 16: I like all the funny shit.
- 11:16Speaker 6: Because you're hilarious.
- 11:18Speaker 1: I have found out today that Hela is hilarious, especially
- 11:21Speaker 1: when she doesn't get any sleep.
- 11:23Speaker 9: Yeah, we are very sleep-deprived, and she has been quite
- 11:27Speaker 9: the entertaining little chimp.
- 11:29Speaker 2: When I was little, I just decided, oh, if people
- 11:33Speaker 2: are running on nothing, they're either going to be.
- 11:36Speaker 16: A dick or hilarious? And I chose hilarious.
- 11:39Speaker 19: I don't even know if you get to choose. You
- 11:41Speaker 19: may be predestined to be one or the other. If
- 11:43Speaker 19: I could choose, I would get hilarious. She's pointing for
- 11:48Speaker 19: a dick at herself. I'm a dick and she's hilarious.
- 11:52Speaker 6: Self-aware. That's a good step.
- 11:53Speaker 15: I'm a hilarious dick.
- 11:54Speaker 16: She's a hilarious dick.
- 11:57Speaker 10: I'm sarcastic and dry, so I'm kind of automatically like
- 12:00Speaker 10: a dick.
- 12:01Speaker 16: That's Betty Dead.
- 12:02Speaker 15: That's Betty Dead.
- 12:03Speaker 9: That's Betty Dead.
- 12:03Speaker 6: She just joined us. I just showed up.
- 12:05Speaker 5: Because I'm a dick.
- 12:06Speaker 9: She puts his guitar in the bathroom.
- 12:09Speaker 6: So you just wait until they say.
- 12:11Speaker 11: Their ridiculous things, and then you make snarky comments about it.
- 12:15Speaker 10: I'm like that person, and it's awesome. Mystery Science Theater 3000.
- 12:21Speaker 10: You're welcome.
- 12:22Speaker 17: Oh, my God. I love it.
- 12:24Speaker 6: We haven't started talking. We need to start doing it.
- 12:28Speaker 16: I busted it at the film theater.
- 12:29Speaker 5: There you go, Dick.
- 12:29Speaker 16: Way to go, Dick.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I'm always up for rolling into the movies.
- 12:32Speaker 6: We're talking about our influences.
- 12:34Speaker 10: I'm also very random, and you're welcome.
- 12:37Speaker 6: Her music inspiration is Crow T.
- 12:39Speaker 10: Robot.
- 12:39Speaker 8: In the not-too-distant future, next Sunday, A.D., There.
- 12:45Speaker 20: Was a guy named Joe, not too different from you
- 12:49Speaker 20: or me.
- 12:49Speaker 7: He worked at the spying institute, just another.
- 12:53Speaker 8: Face in a red jumpsuit.
- 12:54Speaker 21: He did a good.
- 12:55Speaker 7: Job cleaning up the.
- 12:57Speaker 6: Place, but he lost it like a footage out of space.
- 13:03Speaker 21: It's just a cheesy movie.
- 13:07Speaker 20: Because he used those special parts To make his robot friends.
- 13:27Speaker 6: Robot, roll call, cam bot, gypsy, top.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Servo, pro.
- 13:33Speaker 3: If you're wondering how he eats.
- 13:36Speaker 9: And dreams, another science fact.
- 13:38Speaker 6: Just look at yourself, it's.
- 13:41Speaker 7: Just a show.
- 13:41Speaker 22: I should really just relax for history's.
- 13:52Speaker 17: So what she meant is Slayer rules.
- 13:53Speaker 5: Slayer does rule. I thought we were talking about movie influence.
- 13:59Speaker 17: We're getting there, Betty.
- 14:00Speaker 6: We can do that.
- 14:02Speaker 9: Let's go there. Let's segue. What a fantastic segue.
- 14:07Speaker 6: Let's go there.
- 14:07Speaker 17: We'll just take over.
- 14:09Speaker 15: On to the film portion.
- 14:10Speaker 6: The hard-hitting question then, which robot is your favorite? Are
- 14:14Speaker 6: you a crow or a tom?
- 14:15Speaker 1: Gypsy?
- 14:15Speaker 6: I would have to say.
- 14:18Speaker 5: I would have to go, I think, with Crow. Definitely.
- 14:21Speaker 6: I was always a little more towards Crow.
- 14:22Speaker 16: I'm a TARS. Do you know what movie that's from?
- 14:26Speaker 17: Interstellar.
- 14:27Speaker 6: New movie.
- 14:28Speaker 16: Sorry. Okay.
- 14:29Speaker 6: No, that's right.
- 14:30Speaker 9: I just watched a riveting film last night called Snowpiercer.
- 14:35Speaker 16: What happens if the engine stops?
- 14:37Speaker 6: We all freeze and die.
- 14:39Speaker 16: But will it stop?
- 14:40Speaker 9: Oh, will it stop?
- 14:41Speaker 8: No, no.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Can you tell us why? The engine is eternal. Yes,
- 14:47Speaker 3: the engine is proper.
- 14:48Speaker 8: Yes.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Rumble, rumble, rattle, rattle. Who is the reason why? We'll
- 14:54Speaker 3: find y'all. We'll find y'all. We'll find y'all.
- 15:01Speaker 16: Oh, I love that one.
- 15:03Speaker 6: Such a tonic. Oh, that is such a good one.
- 15:06Speaker 6: That's top quality.
- 15:07Speaker 16: I love that you say that because she was ripping
- 15:08Speaker 16: it one in the car.
- 15:09Speaker 6: I thought it was.
- 15:10Speaker 5: So good because I'm like, take over the train. I
- 15:13Speaker 5: was like.
- 15:15Speaker 9: Why are you on this train? Why did they let
- 15:17Speaker 9: the poor people on here?
- 15:19Speaker 17: Don't question.
- 15:20Speaker 5: Because that's just how the society works.
- 15:23Speaker 6: We're dicks. This is the future.
- 15:24Speaker 9: We're such dicks. Let's bring poor people on here just
- 15:27Speaker 9: so we can keep being dicks to them.
- 15:29Speaker 5: It's so they can work on the train.
- 15:30Speaker 6: They're not working. That is a movie about the Holocaust, y'all.
- 15:34Speaker 15: They're not doing anything.
- 15:35Speaker 5: They're just sitting there being poor.
- 15:37Speaker 6: But the rich people.
- 15:38Speaker 16: Cutting off their arms.
- 15:39Speaker 9: They're eating bugs.
- 15:39Speaker 17: They're eating the bugs.
- 15:41Speaker 16: I have not seen this film yet. Spoiler alert.
- 15:45Speaker 17: You all are talking about Schindler's List. Everybody has seen this.
- 15:49Speaker 17: And it's terrible.
- 15:50Speaker 6: Post-apocalyptic Schindler's List.
- 15:51Speaker 17: I did love talking about that.
- 15:52Speaker 5: Actually, Schindler's List is a great movie.
- 15:55Speaker 1: It is.
- 15:55Speaker 17: Fuck those lines.
- 15:55Speaker 15: I was really moved by the dude.
- 15:59Speaker 5: Great soundtrack.
- 15:59Speaker 9: It's like a black and white movie, but then the
- 16:02Speaker 9: dude in the red thong. You know, it's like out
- 16:04Speaker 9: of nowhere. Wait, what movie are we talking about?
- 16:11Speaker 6: No Schindler?
- 16:12Speaker 15: Isn't this an Ann Getty's photograph you're speaking of?
- 16:15Speaker 14: Yes.
- 16:16Speaker 6: God help us all. Okay, other movies?
- 16:20Speaker 11: Just let's do general. Have you seen anything lately other
- 16:23Speaker 11: than Snowpiercer?
- 16:24Speaker 1: Yeah, Interstellar, I hella brought that up. Interstellar is just
- 16:28Speaker 1: a fucking awesome movie.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Well, it's funny because I saw it in the theater
- 16:31Speaker 2: and then some friends of mine were watching it in
- 16:33Speaker 2: my living room like at 4 a.m.
- 16:34Speaker 16: The other day and all I heard was just this
- 16:36Speaker 16: like amazing journey of notes and things.
- 16:41Speaker 17: Cosmic sounds.
- 16:42Speaker 16: Hans, isn't that a Hans? It's a Hans film, I
- 16:45Speaker 16: do believe. It's a Hans Zimmer.
- 16:47Speaker 17: Hans Zimmer?
- 16:48Speaker 1: Yes.
- 16:48Speaker 6: He's got his key banging moments.
- 16:51Speaker 16: I felt a part of it as it came through
- 16:54Speaker 16: the walls.
- 16:55Speaker 6: He was Oscar nominated for that, I believe.
- 16:57Speaker 9: Recent movies that I saw that I thought the soundtrack
- 16:59Speaker 9: ripped was Birdman. The soundtrack of that movie ripped. Like,
- 17:04Speaker 9: I was just riveted to the sound. And the way
- 17:08Speaker 9: that they play in and out with, like, You're hearing
- 17:11Speaker 9: the sound effect and then you visualize it.
- 17:13Speaker 6: He's really there.
- 17:14Speaker 9: Yeah, the person, the music you're hearing, you turn the
- 17:18Speaker 9: corner and it's being performed. Not to mention the fact
- 17:20Speaker 9: that they shoot that in five camera.
- 17:23Speaker 15: Shots or something.
- 17:24Speaker 6: It's ridiculous.
- 17:24Speaker 15: The soundtrack of that movie blew my mind.
- 18:01Speaker 8: Thanks for watching!
- 20:14Speaker 15: So recently, that's the only.
- 20:15Speaker 9: It's Birdman or it sucks?
- 20:19Speaker 15: No, it was great.
- 20:21Speaker 5: Yes, folks, it's intermission time.
- 20:23Speaker 2: So how about taking a break?
- 20:25Speaker 13: Get out and stretch a little and relax before the
- 20:28Speaker 13: show begins again. Want some music for your ears? Doo-Wop
- 20:32Speaker 13: Shop makes it easy to rent for any event, business meeting,

- 20:56Speaker 10: We was hitchhiking down a long and lonesome road.
- 21:03Speaker 8: All of a sudden, There shined a shiny demon.
- 21:09Speaker 9: In the middle of the road.
- 21:13Speaker 7: And he said.
- 21:14Speaker 13: Hey, this is KG of Tenacious D, and you're listening
- 21:16Speaker 13: to Movie Meltdown with Brian.
- 21:20Speaker 21: Oh, yeah.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I think my favorite was Kill Bill. Anything Quentin Tarantino,
- 21:32Speaker 1: I'm usually a fan of. But Kill Bill, I like
- 21:34Speaker 1: the ironic kind of songs he picks for a scene
- 21:39Speaker 1: where someone's getting killed. It's always something off the wall
- 21:42Speaker 1: and happy. I love that shit. It makes you think
- 21:47Speaker 1: even more.
- 21:47Speaker 6: Specific song picks? Did you have one from Kill Bill?
- 21:52Speaker 17: The one, shoot, I forget it.
- 21:55Speaker 6: Bang Bang.
- 21:56Speaker 11: That's probably my favorite.
- 21:58Speaker 6: Credit song, yeah.
- 21:59Speaker 3: I was five and he was six.
- 22:01Speaker 19: We rode on horses made of sticks.
- 22:15Speaker 23: He wore black and I wore white He.
- 22:19Speaker 24: Would always win the fight Bang, bang, he shot me
- 22:23Speaker 24: down Bang, bang, I hit the ground Bang, bang, that
- 22:29Speaker 24: awful sound Bang, bang, my baby shot.
- 22:35Speaker 14: Me down.
- 22:46Speaker 23: Seasons came and changed the time When I grew up
- 22:51Speaker 23: I called him mine He would always laugh and say
- 22:56Speaker 23: Remember when we used to play Bang bang I shot
- 23:03Speaker 23: you down Bang bang You hit the ground Bang bang
- 23:08Speaker 23: That awful sound Bang, bang, I used to shoot you down.
- 23:16Speaker 15: Music played and people sang just for me.
- 23:32Speaker 18: Church bells rang now he's gone I don't know why
- 23:35Speaker 18: until this day sometimes.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I cry he didn't even say goodbye he didn't take
- 23:39Speaker 3: the time to lie bang bang.
- 24:02Speaker 24: He shot me down, bang, bang I hit the ground, bang.
- 24:07Speaker 23: Bang That awful sound, bang, bang.
- 24:14Speaker 24: My baby shot me down.
- 24:31Speaker 11: It's one of those, like, he does kind of dig
- 24:32Speaker 11: out ones that I don't think people are near as
- 24:34Speaker 11: familiar as.
- 24:35Speaker 6: They should be.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Right, yeah.
- 24:37Speaker 6: Kind of what he does with actors sometimes.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I didn't know that was Nancy Sinatra until I looked
- 24:40Speaker 1: it up.
- 24:42Speaker 6: It's, yeah, I think everybody should be more familiar with it.
- 24:45Speaker 16: I love Cups and Cakes in Spinal Tap.
- 24:48Speaker 10: Nice.
- 24:49Speaker 6: All right.
- 24:49Speaker 13: But, hey, enough of my yakking. What do you say?
- 24:52Speaker 25: Let's boogie.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Let's boogie.
- 25:01Speaker 22: Cops and Cakes Cops and Cakes Oh what good things
- 25:09Speaker 22: mother makes You've got to take two Won't you take
- 25:14Speaker 22: it with me What a gay time it will be
- 25:17Speaker 22: Cops and Cakes Cops and Cakes Cops and Cakes Please
- 25:24Speaker 22: make sure that nothing breaks. The china's so dear and.
- 25:30Speaker 8: The treacle's so clear.
- 25:32Speaker 22: And I'm glad that you are here. Milk and sugar,
- 25:39Speaker 22: bread and jam.
- 25:41Speaker 26: Yes, please, sir, and thank you, ma'am.
- 25:45Speaker 8: Here I am. Here I am.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Cups and cakes.
- 26:00Speaker 27: Cups and cakes I'm so full my tummy aches How
- 26:08Speaker 27: sad it must end But I'm glad I'd a friend
- 26:12Speaker 27: Sharing cups and cakes with me And cakes.
- 26:16Speaker 21: With me.
- 26:23Speaker 10: I love Lego Movie and Everything is Awesome and You're Welcome.
- 26:28Speaker 6: Again, which version? The one in the movie or the
- 26:32Speaker 6: Tegan and Sarah version?
- 26:33Speaker 5: I like the one on the movie.
- 26:34Speaker 15: The character version is always, always rips. Always rips.
- 26:39Speaker 9: I love Tegan and Sarah, but anytime you're talking about,
- 26:42Speaker 9: for me personally, Meta Dead, anytime you're talking about Song
- 26:46Speaker 9: from a movie with characters versus radio version of song. Characters,
- 26:50Speaker 9: hands down, who gives a shit to hear Celine Dion
- 26:54Speaker 9: sing something? I want to hear Aladdin sing it or whatever.
- 26:57Speaker 6: Step 13, enjoy popular music.
- 27:00Speaker 7: Tap the charts again.
- 27:01Speaker 28: Everything is awesome.
- 27:02Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh, I love this song.
- 27:04Speaker 21: Everything is awesome.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Everything is cool when we're part of a team.
- 27:10Speaker 8: Everything is awesome.
- 27:17Speaker 29: Everything is better when we stick together Side by side,
- 27:24Speaker 29: you and I, going forever Let's party forever We're the same,
- 27:31Speaker 29: I like you, you're like me We're all working in
- 27:36Speaker 29: harmony Everything is our sound Everything is cool when you're
- 27:41Speaker 29: part of the team Everything is our sound.
- 27:48Speaker 6: Now let's see those smiles all around.
- 27:50Speaker 8: Riding scooters through the park.
- 27:51Speaker 6: Getting home before it's dark.
- 27:53Speaker 8: Comfy shoes and candy bars.
- 27:55Speaker 6: Playing tunes on my guitar.
- 27:56Speaker 9: Swimsuit, summer dress.
- 27:58Speaker 6: Playing on the beach the best.
- 27:59Speaker 7: Skiing in milk, white, red. Got my homework weeks ahead.
- 28:03Speaker 6: Skipping stones and best friend bracelets.
- 28:04Speaker 7: Lemonade, I like to make it. Upper cycling, mountain biking.
- 28:08Speaker 7: Let's go hiking.
- 28:09Speaker 6: Make sure your shoes are tied.
- 28:11Speaker 3: Everything is awesome.
- 28:25Speaker 11: It works so much better, especially that one, because it's
- 28:27Speaker 11: so tied to the way the plot works.
- 28:29Speaker 9: Yeah, like when Celine Dion sang the Aladdin song, totally.
- 28:33Speaker 6: What are you, crazy?
- 28:37Speaker 10: Jungle Book was the best Disney movie soundtrack ever.
- 28:39Speaker 17: I would like to disagree with Betty Dead.
- 28:42Speaker 9: We do not need to start talking about Disney soundtracks
- 28:45Speaker 9: because this could be like a four-hour fight. We all
- 28:49Speaker 9: have very strong opinions.
- 28:51Speaker 6: Mary Poppins.
- 28:52Speaker 2: If you want to talk like phenomenal pussy soundtracks, The
- 28:55Speaker 2: Fault in Our Stars, just say it.
- 28:57Speaker 17: You're right.
- 28:57Speaker 9: She's really good at navigating us back on track.
- 29:00Speaker 30: It's just another night And I'm staring at the moon.
- 29:07Speaker 8: I saw a shooting star and thought of you.
- 29:13Speaker 30: I sang a lullaby by the water's side.
- 29:18Speaker 2: I knew if.
- 29:21Speaker 8: You were here, I'd sing to.
- 29:25Speaker 10: You.
- 29:26Speaker 6: You're on the other side as.
- 29:28Speaker 30: The skyline splits in two.
- 29:33Speaker 9: Miles away from seeing you.
- 29:38Speaker 30: But I can see the stars From America.
- 29:46Speaker 8: I wonder do you see them too.
- 29:50Speaker 28: So open your eyes And see The way our horizons
- 30:00Speaker 28: And all of the lights will bleed Into the night
- 30:11Speaker 28: with me.
- 30:16Speaker 8: And I know these.
- 30:17Speaker 3: Scars will bleed.
- 30:22Speaker 25: But both of our hearts believe All of these stars
- 30:32Speaker 25: will guide.
- 30:37Speaker 28: Us home I can hear your heart on the radio
- 30:44Speaker 28: It beats, the.
- 30:47Speaker 30: Playing, chasing cars And I thought.
- 30:52Speaker 21: It was back to the.
- 30:53Speaker 8: Time You were lying next to me.
- 31:00Speaker 30: I looked across and fell in love And so I
- 31:05Speaker 30: took your hand Back.
- 31:08Speaker 28: Through lamplight streets and knew.
- 31:13Speaker 8: Everything led back to you.
- 31:18Speaker 30: So can you see the stars Over Amsterdam Hear the
- 31:25Speaker 30: song my heart is beating to So open your eyes and.
- 31:35Speaker 28: See The way our horizons meet And all of the
- 31:43Speaker 28: lights will blink Into the night with me Both of
- 32:02Speaker 28: our hearts believe All of these stars will guide.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Us On and on.
- 32:17Speaker 21: And on.
- 32:41Speaker 30: I can see the stars from America.
- 32:47Speaker 15: Indie boners.
- 32:48Speaker 16: We're the listeners out there.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I cried from as soon as that movie started,
- 32:52Speaker 1: I just started crying in anticipation of me crying at
- 32:55Speaker 1: the end of that movie.
- 32:56Speaker 9: Someone asked me if I wanted to watch that movie,
- 32:59Speaker 9: and I started crying. I picked up the box at
- 33:02Speaker 9: the video store and started crying.
- 33:05Speaker 2: I forced someone to watch it, and they later said,
- 33:07Speaker 2: why did you make me do that?
- 33:09Speaker 6: Oh, my God. It's amazing. I haven't seen it.
- 33:11Speaker 17: I had snot everywhere. It was such a good movie.
- 33:15Speaker 17: And the music's good, too.
- 33:16Speaker 6: Uplifting. That's what we're going with. I have one.
- 33:18Speaker 17: It Follows.
- 33:19Speaker 5: The soundtrack to that is pretty awesome.
- 33:21Speaker 10: It's stuck with the original old-school horror films, I feel like.
- 33:25Speaker 5: It's pretty awesome. I liked it. I don't know who
- 33:27Speaker 5: composed it, but I like that soundtrack.
- 33:29Speaker 16: It is awesome.
- 33:30Speaker 5: It was pretty cool.
- 33:31Speaker 9: As far as, like, a song when it comes on
- 33:33Speaker 9: that I've never heard before that just ripped was In
- 33:38Speaker 9: Drive when the Kavinsky song comes on. I'd never heard
- 33:41Speaker 9: a Kavinsky before, but that song came on, and I
- 33:43Speaker 9: was just like, what the hell is this must-obtain track?
- 33:49Speaker 9: I actually purchased on iTunes, which I don't do very often,
- 33:53Speaker 9: but I was just like, I want that.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:06Speaker 3: I'm giving you a night call to tell you.
- 34:16Speaker 4: How I feel. I want to drive you through the
- 34:19Speaker 4: night down the hills. I gotta tell you something you
- 34:41Speaker 4: don't want to hear.
- 34:43Speaker 21: I'm gonna show you where it's dark, but have no fear.
- 34:52Speaker 21: There's something inside.
- 35:10Speaker 3: But you're still the same There's something inside you It's
- 35:20Speaker 3: hard to explain They're talking about you.
- 35:41Speaker 4: And I called to tell you how I.
- 35:45Speaker 21: Feel I want to drive you through the night Down.
- 35:50Speaker 4: The hills I gotta tell you something you don't.
- 35:55Speaker 8: Want to hear It's hard.
- 36:17Speaker 21: To explain.
- 36:21Speaker 3: They're talking about you, boy. But you're still the same.
- 36:47Speaker 3: There's something inside you.
- 36:50Speaker 8: It's hard to explain. My hands are a little dirty.
- 38:00Speaker 2: So am I.
- 38:01Speaker 6: That's, like, that whole weird movement.
- 38:03Speaker 11: Like, Drive was right sort of at the front of
- 38:05Speaker 11: that where everything sort of late 80s, early 90s was
- 38:09Speaker 11: coming back around.
- 38:10Speaker 15: Yeah, huge throwback.
- 38:12Speaker 6: It's like totally Tangerine Dream.
- 38:14Speaker 11: Like, it's exactly like he's sort of recreating that in
- 38:17Speaker 11: the movie and then the soundtrack is, like, spot on.
- 38:19Speaker 6: Exactly that.
- 38:20Speaker 9: And what's weird is I want no part of any
- 38:23Speaker 9: of that except that one movie.
- 38:25Speaker 6: It sucks you in.
- 38:27Speaker 9: Like, throwback is great, but, you know, then, like, one
- 38:30Speaker 9: person throws back successfully, then everyone does, and it's like, no,
- 38:34Speaker 9: I just want the first person that did it super rad.
- 38:38Speaker 15: That's the only one I want.
- 38:39Speaker 9: Then I'm just going to go back to my Disney movies.
- 38:42Speaker 10: Thanks.
- 38:42Speaker 15: Bye.
- 38:43Speaker 17: This is Billie.
- 38:44Speaker 1: I think my favorite soundtrack, if, like, I have a
- 38:48Speaker 1: very limited selection of music that influences me, to be honest, and, like,
- 38:52Speaker 1: the 90s era is my favorite. I think the movie Go...
- 38:55Speaker 1: pretty much had the best soundtrack of my life. Every
- 38:59Speaker 1: song on there, I just, I could party on that
- 39:01Speaker 1: soundtrack till I die, so that would sum up my
- 39:05Speaker 1: life pretty quickly right there.
- 39:47Speaker 7: What we're doing when a fat boy's trippin'?.
- 40:30Speaker 6: What we're doing when a fat boy's trippin' What we're
- 40:33Speaker 6: doing when a fat boy's.
- 40:34Speaker 7: Trippin' What you doing with that foot? What you doing
- 41:47Speaker 7: with that foot? What, what doin' when a, what, what
- 43:11Speaker 7: doin' when a, what, what doin' when a fat boy strippin'? What,
- 43:14Speaker 7: what doin' when a, what, what doin' when a, what,
- 43:17Speaker 7: what doin' when a fat boy strippin'? What, what doin'
- 43:20Speaker 7: when a, what, what doin' when a, what, what doin'
- 43:22Speaker 7: when a fat boy strippin'? What, what, what, what, what, what, what.
- 44:25Speaker 11: And you constantly get into wacky situations, some of which
- 44:28Speaker 11: may involve fake drug deals.
- 44:31Speaker 6: I don't know how many different scenarios were going on
- 44:33Speaker 6: in that movie.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I definitely just mean the songs. Like, I'm the
- 44:37Speaker 1: greenest person in this entire band room city. Yeah.
- 44:43Speaker 17: I don't break rules. Yeah. I don't do anything cool, really.
- 44:47Speaker 6: I think that's the way to operate.
- 44:49Speaker 9: Just to let you guys know, that's Billy Dead, our trauma.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Yes.
- 44:51Speaker 17: Billy Dead's the biggest nerd.
- 44:53Speaker 2: She is wearing just a see-through thing right now.
- 44:57Speaker 17: She's wearing a see-through.
- 44:59Speaker 9: Mesh black thing over leopard pants.
- 45:02Speaker 17: With black boots with studs.
- 45:04Speaker 15: I'm hardcore. She's very straight-laced.
- 45:10Speaker 6: She's very punctual.
- 45:11Speaker 16: I'm on time for everything.
- 45:13Speaker 9: She's like, we better get to the venue early.
- 45:15Speaker 17: Yeah, I did say that.
- 45:17Speaker 16: Two hours early for every movie. That would be weird.
- 45:21Speaker 6: Stays all the way through the credits.
- 45:23Speaker 17: Yeah, and I'm there for all the movie trivias to start.
- 45:25Speaker 9: Nowadays, you never know.
- 45:27Speaker 17: Yeah, you might miss something. You've got to go early.
- 45:29Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 45:29Speaker 15: You've got to stay late.
- 45:30Speaker 17: I've got to be there.
- 45:31Speaker 1: If I'm spending $ 20 on one ticket, not to be cheap,
- 45:33Speaker 1: but I am, I'm going to see every fucking thing.
- 45:36Speaker 9: I'm going early.
- 45:39Speaker 6: Do you really play along with the trivia? And do
- 45:41Speaker 6: you argue with people around you?
- 45:43Speaker 9: I'm the worst person at trivia on earth. You could
- 45:47Speaker 9: ask me trivia about myself.
- 45:49Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 45:49Speaker 15: I don't save any information.
- 45:54Speaker 7: In life.
- 45:55Speaker 6: No.
- 45:56Speaker 15: My hard drive is full. I'm the worst at trivia.
- 46:01Speaker 10: I'm pretty good at the BW3s trivia thing. buffalo wild
- 46:08Speaker 10: wings yes um because i always we're endorsed by buffalo
- 46:11Speaker 10: wild wings are pretty much shown and then i type
- 46:13Speaker 10: in my i'm like yes it's c and then i
- 46:16Speaker 10: have like one point.
- 46:17Speaker 9: Oh ntn trivia yeah yeah that's like the trivia that's
- 46:21Speaker 9: the only trivia i'm good at i'm good at that
- 46:23Speaker 9: because they give you like the the things disappear yeah
- 46:26Speaker 9: so i'm like oh see really great it did deducing
- 46:30Speaker 9: what might be the answer but pulling an answer out
- 46:33Speaker 9: of the clear.
- 46:33Speaker 10: Blue no way I can't I don't do that back
- 46:37Speaker 10: to films oh yeah sorry here's.
- 46:39Speaker 11: My favorite question for the bands that are roaming around
- 46:43Speaker 11: together and stuck together you have to be watching movies
- 46:47Speaker 11: on the road how much of a clash is that
- 46:52Speaker 11: you're all forced to.
- 46:53Speaker 9: Watch we have I feel like we have very similar tastes.
- 46:58Speaker 9: There's places where we don't overlap as far as maybe horror.
- 47:02Speaker 9: Or I like really, really. I'm 100% sci-fi or children's movies.
- 47:08Speaker 16: The last movie we watched together was Lego movies.
- 47:11Speaker 6: Is there an alien or.
- 47:13Speaker 15: Is it for children?
- 47:14Speaker 11: Explorers is your favorite movie.
- 47:17Speaker 9: You can't even name a movie with aliens that I
- 47:19Speaker 9: don't love. It could be the worst movie ever. Does
- 47:22Speaker 9: an alien appear?
- 47:24Speaker 7: Great.
- 47:25Speaker 15: I love it.
- 47:26Speaker 9: I don't care how bad it is. Explorers is wonderful.
- 47:28Speaker 9: I mean, God, the actors in that movie. Like, what
- 47:31Speaker 9: a time capsule. What a wonderful collection of people. And
- 47:35Speaker 9: it's everything. And the aliens in that are so ridiculous
- 47:38Speaker 9: and wonderful.
- 47:39Speaker 6: I question, yeah, that ending's a little cheesy. But the
- 47:42Speaker 6: whole first half is really good.
- 47:43Speaker 9: I'm sorry, did you just say the ending was cheesy?
- 47:44Speaker 9: The whole thing.
- 47:45Speaker 6: No, the whole, like, that whole first half is pretty realistic.
- 47:50Speaker 6: I'm buying it.
- 47:50Speaker 15: It's pretty exciting.
- 47:51Speaker 6: I'm also sold on Flight of the Navigator.
- 47:54Speaker 15: And everything, like... Children's movies and that.
- 48:00Speaker 9: But as far as everything else, I think there's things
- 48:03Speaker 9: we all can enjoy, and we wouldn't force something we
- 48:07Speaker 9: don't like as a group on each other.
- 48:09Speaker 3: You guys watch Joe Don Baker movies?

- 48:48Speaker 8: It's the answer.
- 49:07Speaker 9: We're talking about just like movies that we watch as
- 49:11Speaker 9: a group or would.
- 49:12Speaker 6: Watch as a group. We've added a member, so I
- 49:14Speaker 6: guess introduce yourself.
- 49:15Speaker 16: We've just been joined by Daisy Dead.
- 49:19Speaker 9: Have we ever watched a movie together?
- 49:20Speaker 17: All five of us?
- 49:21Speaker 9: Well, on tour, he was asking when we're on tour,
- 49:24Speaker 9: would there ever be a fight over what movie to watch?
- 49:27Speaker 15: And I would say, no, we're nice.
- 49:28Speaker 6: Yeah. That's not what I heard. Mostly from you.
- 49:31Speaker 26: Well, because why would you insist, no, we must watch
- 49:34Speaker 26: this movie right now?
- 49:35Speaker 15: Everybody's like, I'm not in the mood. Like, no, I
- 49:37Speaker 15: don't care.
- 49:38Speaker 6: We're going to watch it right now.
- 49:40Speaker 17: And not only that, but you can't go back to
- 49:42Speaker 17: your bunk.
- 49:42Speaker 15: Like, no, you've got to sit out here.
- 49:44Speaker 17: And watch this.
- 49:44Speaker 2: Yeah, you can all do your own thing on the bus.
- 49:46Speaker 2: So it's like, this is what's going down out here
- 49:48Speaker 2: right now. If you don't like it, get in your bunk.
- 49:52Speaker 26: It's the newest porn.
- 49:54Speaker 9: We are watching Drop Dead Gorgeous, or you guys can
- 49:57Speaker 9: go fuck yourselves.
- 49:58Speaker 16: All three Star Wars back to back.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Our bus driver was watching, like, as good as it
- 50:03Speaker 2: gets and being like, guys, this is what's on.
- 50:06Speaker 6: Yeah, that was a thing.
- 50:07Speaker 16: That's all you can, you know.
- 50:10Speaker 6: Everyone else go fuck yourself.
- 50:13Speaker 9: Our bus driver was definitely everyone else go fuck yourself
- 50:16Speaker 9: about movies.
- 50:17Speaker 16: Yes.
- 50:19Speaker 26: But even then he wasn't like, and no, you guys
- 50:21Speaker 26: got to get out of your bunks and come watch this.
- 50:23Speaker 15: Or I'm not going to drive any further.
- 50:24Speaker 16: He would do something like that.
- 50:25Speaker 6: He would though.
- 50:26Speaker 9: Get up.
- 50:27Speaker 16: Time for a grumpy old man.
- 50:27Speaker 5: He was just like, everyone else go fuck yourself.
- 50:30Speaker 16: Let's be honest.
- 50:31Speaker 6: That was mean.
- 50:32Speaker 17: I'm sorry.
- 50:34Speaker 9: But not really.
- 50:35Speaker 7: He was mean.
- 50:36Speaker 6: He was really mean. Grumpy old men, though. He was
- 50:39Speaker 6: a butt head.
- 50:41Speaker 9: He was not cute mean like grumpy old men.
- 50:43Speaker 15: He was just mean mean.
- 50:44Speaker 16: Oh, my God.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:46Speaker 17: It got a little scary.
- 50:48Speaker 6: So I think most have picked a song, at least.
- 50:51Speaker 6: Did you have a song from a movie that's one
- 50:53Speaker 6: of your favorites? Oh, they did.
- 50:54Speaker 26: I've been thinking about this. A favorite, not the favorite,
- 50:57Speaker 26: but a favorite song. that I actually heard on the
- 51:00Speaker 26: radio recently is the Marilyn Manson cover of Put a
- 51:05Speaker 26: Spell on You from the Lost Highway soundtrack.
- 51:08Speaker 5: Nice.
- 51:08Speaker 10: Nice.
- 51:37Speaker 31: A spell on you because you're mine I can't stand
- 51:46Speaker 31: the things that you do no no no I ain't
- 51:52Speaker 31: lying no I don't care if you don't want me
- 51:58Speaker 31: cause I'm yours anyhow.
- 52:06Speaker 1: I love you.
- 52:07Speaker 6: I love you.
- 52:08Speaker 3: I love you.
- 52:10Speaker 8: I love you. I love you.
- 52:12Speaker 6: I love you.
- 52:51Speaker 31: Understand the things that you do when you're fooling around.
- 52:58Speaker 8: I don't care if you don't want me.
- 53:01Speaker 3: Cause I'm yours, yours, yours.
- 54:23Speaker 17: That was really cool.
- 54:24Speaker 6: That's definitely good. That whole soundtrack's kind of awesome.
- 54:29Speaker 16: Oh, Rob Zombie movies just came to mind.
- 54:31Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 54:32Speaker 16: In general, what's going on there.
- 54:36Speaker 9: I've never seen any of those because aliens in kids' movies.
- 54:39Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 54:41Speaker 5: I love the horror in Rob Zombie movies.
- 54:44Speaker 17: Lost Highway is a very scary meta.
- 54:46Speaker 9: I know.
- 54:47Speaker 6: It's disturbing in a different way. As all Lynch films are.
- 54:52Speaker 2: I appreciate that she'll at least watch alien movies. Because
- 54:56Speaker 2: you could also cop out and be scared of that, too.
- 55:00Speaker 9: Well, what's funny is if they're terrifying alien movies, I'll
- 55:02Speaker 9: still watch them.
- 55:03Speaker 13: What?
- 55:03Speaker 15: They could be totally horrific.
- 55:04Speaker 17: They're sci-fi horror.
- 55:06Speaker 9: They could be, like... And I'll watch sci-fi horror all
- 55:08Speaker 9: the time. Yeah, is there.
- 55:10Speaker 16: Like, what's.
- 55:11Speaker 5: I like Event Horizon.
- 55:13Speaker 6: I've seen that. Yeah.
- 55:15Speaker 5: That one's, like, a really... And I saw it for
- 55:17Speaker 5: the first time, like, a year ago.
- 55:19Speaker 1: Like.
- 55:20Speaker 10: Yeah, I was like, that movie's so cool. And you
- 55:22Speaker 10: guys are like, this has been out for years.
- 55:24Speaker 15: My friends were all like, this is ridiculous.
- 55:26Speaker 9: You're the most person of all the people we know
- 55:30Speaker 9: that should like horror movies. Why don't you? I was like,
- 55:33Speaker 9: I don't know. They scared me when I was a kid.
- 55:34Speaker 9: And I was just like, nope, not going to watch them.
- 55:36Speaker 9: And so last year I started this vision quest of
- 55:39Speaker 9: trying to watch horror movies. So it started with some
- 55:43Speaker 9: kind of beginner movies like Cabin in the Woods.
- 55:45Speaker 15: And then I worked my way up to Scarier and Scarier.
- 55:48Speaker 9: And after a year of watching horror movies, which was 2014,
- 55:51Speaker 9: I was like, yeah, no, I just think it's not
- 55:55Speaker 9: my thing. Unless an alien pops out or we're in
- 55:58Speaker 9: outer space, I don't really care.
- 55:59Speaker 6: It's a very specific window.
- 56:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I actually remember being in the other room during
- 56:07Speaker 2: the beginning of some possession movie. I don't remember what
- 56:10Speaker 2: it was.
- 56:11Speaker 6: There's about 20 of them.
- 56:13Speaker 16: What's happening now?
- 56:14Speaker 9: Okay, what's happening now?
- 56:15Speaker 2: I was like, well, the father just had to kill
- 56:18Speaker 2: his daughter, burn her ass to death because she's possessed,
- 56:21Speaker 2: and that's how the movie started.
- 56:22Speaker 16: She's like, ooh. Oh, interesting, but I don't want to
- 56:25Speaker 16: watch it.
- 56:26Speaker 6: Describe the possession to me.
- 56:28Speaker 15: I love that. I like to hear about it. I
- 56:30Speaker 15: just don't want to watch it.
- 56:31Speaker 6: I like experiencing horror vicariously.
- 56:34Speaker 2: She would not watch Breaking Bad, but she knows the
- 56:37Speaker 2: whole thing because she would ask her, what happened in Breaking.
- 56:39Speaker 5: Bad this week?
- 56:40Speaker 6: You're a water cooler fan.
- 56:42Speaker 10: You almost use your imagination more whenever you're being told something.
- 56:46Speaker 10: So it can actually end up almost being worse, I think,
- 56:48Speaker 10: than actually watching, you know.
- 56:51Speaker 6: It's kind of like reading a book.
- 56:52Speaker 10: It can actually be worse than a movie because you're
- 56:54Speaker 10: using your own imagination.
- 56:55Speaker 15: To me, the principle was kind of based on anxiety.
- 56:58Speaker 9: With a movie, if enough people are like, you've got
- 57:02Speaker 9: to see it. I'm like, okay, I can watch it.
- 57:04Speaker 9: I can deal with the repercussions. But with a television show,
- 57:07Speaker 9: it's like, I watched two episodes of Breaking Bad. I
- 57:10Speaker 9: got way too invested. I was super worried about Walter White.
- 57:13Speaker 9: And I would go to bed being like, I hope
- 57:15Speaker 9: Walter's okay. And the fact is, I just don't. Have
- 57:20Speaker 9: time for that in my life. But I still want
- 57:22Speaker 9: to know what happened. So I would just be like, yo,
- 57:24Speaker 9: give me the elevator pitch. What happened to Walter?
- 57:28Speaker 6: You like to be caught up on the social events
- 57:30Speaker 6: of the day. Well, I went upstairs one time.
- 57:33Speaker 17: I think, what was I like dropping off a cup
- 57:36Speaker 17: of sugar or something?
- 57:36Speaker 9: Daisy and I live in the same building.
- 57:39Speaker 26: And like Breaking Bad was on and there was some
- 57:42Speaker 26: kind of somebody was going off on somebody else.
- 57:43Speaker 9: And I was like, this is super unpleasant.
- 57:48Speaker 15: It is super unpleasant.
- 57:49Speaker 9: I think it's probably one of the best television shows
- 57:51Speaker 9: of all time that.
- 57:52Speaker 17: I've ever seen.
- 57:54Speaker 26: Or like I just was like, oh, you know, it's
- 57:56Speaker 26: like you want to leave the room when something bad
- 57:58Speaker 26: is happening.
- 57:58Speaker 9: Like somebody was. First two episodes, season finale. That's all
- 58:01Speaker 9: I've seen. That's all I need to see. Great show.
- 58:03Speaker 11: They'll probably put that on their advertisements.
- 58:06Speaker 6: Super unpleasant. They would appreciate that, I think.
- 58:10Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 58:12Speaker 11: So, if nothing else, what should people go and look
- 58:15Speaker 11: for if they want to know more about the Dead Deads?
- 58:18Speaker 11: Like websites? Social media? Where would they go find you?
- 58:24Speaker 9: The most fun place to find the Dead Deads is Twitter,
- 58:27Speaker 9: because we're really active on Twitter, and we have a
- 58:30Speaker 9: lot of fun there, and we always answer any tweets
- 58:34Speaker 9: that come our direction personally.
- 58:37Speaker 6: Several of you tweeted me back just on this thing.
- 58:40Speaker 9: Yeah, we have fun there, but it's a great opportunity
- 58:44Speaker 9: for us to engage with everybody, and I don't know, just.
- 58:49Speaker 15: yeah make new friends um.
- 58:51Speaker 16: Name all our friends and we name all.
- 58:53Speaker 9: Of our friends.
- 58:55Speaker 2: So if you jump on twitter you get a dead
- 58:57Speaker 2: name even if you don't want it.
- 58:59Speaker 6: You assign them a specific dead name.
- 59:01Speaker 9: Yeah we give we give everybody a nickname that wants
- 59:03Speaker 9: that actually that says what's my dead name we'll give
- 59:06Speaker 9: you one So come look for us on Twitter and
- 59:09Speaker 9: we'll give you a dead name if you ask for it.
- 59:12Speaker 15: We're on Instagram, Facebook.
- 59:14Speaker 2: Our website's fun because we'll put special stuff on there
- 59:18Speaker 2: on thedeaddeads.com that is like a blog or an extra
- 59:21Speaker 2: of what's going on with us, an announcement.
- 59:23Speaker 9: We have a Tumblr where we write political ideas that
- 59:27Speaker 9: we have about changing the world.
- 59:29Speaker 6: On how you're going to take over the world.
- 59:31Speaker 9: We don't want to take over the world. We just
- 59:33Speaker 9: want to make it better.
- 59:35Speaker 6: I wouldn't put it past you.
- 59:36Speaker 2: They can find us on some cruises coming up if
- 59:39Speaker 2: they want to really find us and pay $ 1, 000 to
- 59:42Speaker 2: find us.
- 59:43Speaker 6: Not just of money, but of time.
- 59:45Speaker 9: Yeah, if you've got five days and $ 1, 000, you should
- 59:49Speaker 9: come on Shiprocked and hang out with us for a week.
- 59:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 59:52Speaker 6: It's not one of these specific bands' cruises. It's a general.
- 59:56Speaker 15: It's called Shiprocked.
- 59:57Speaker 9: Well, I mean, it's headlined by, like, Seether, Hailstorm, Five
- 1:00:00Speaker 9: Finger Death Punch.
- 1:00:02Speaker 15: And we will be there.
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: Yep.
- 1:00:03Speaker 17: Hell yeah.
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: Hell yeah.
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: I'm excited about helmets. Oh, hell!
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: Yeah, we're ready.
- 1:00:11Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:00:12Speaker 15: It's going to be awesome.
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: So do I have a dead name is what I'm asking.
- 1:00:15Speaker 15: Well, you have to ask us on Twitter.
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:00:19Speaker 16: Damn it.
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: I don't even get the interactive dead name.
- 1:00:24Speaker 15: Everything in its right place, my friend.
- 1:00:26Speaker 17: So many Mike.
- 1:00:27Speaker 9: You're opening up a can of worms here that, look,
- 1:00:30Speaker 9: trust the sci-fi fan.
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: You do not want to go here.
- 1:00:35Speaker 9: Trust the parameters of social media. We have to wait.
- 1:00:40Speaker 9: Ask us on Twitter.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Flick. Flick.
- 1:00:42Speaker 16: Flick dead.
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: Fucker dead. That's more accurate. No.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: I just remembered one of my other favorite soundtracks.
- 1:00:52Speaker 16: Team America World Police.
- 1:00:54Speaker 9: Oh, God.
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: America.
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: Fuck yeah.
- 1:00:58Speaker 17: America.
- 1:00:58Speaker 9: America.

- 1:02:39Speaker 3: Republicans!
- 1:02:40Speaker 8: Fuck yeah! Sportsmanship!
- 1:02:42Speaker 21: Books!
- 1:03:02Speaker 9: You can't even talk about Trey Parker and Matt Stone
- 1:03:05Speaker 9: without me flipping out.
- 1:03:06Speaker 15: So drop the mic.
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: I'm out of here. They're gods.
- 1:03:11Speaker 16: We have to get on stage.
- 1:03:12Speaker 5: She literally just dropped the mic.
- 1:03:14Speaker 15: I'm not going to drop the mic because I can't
- 1:03:16Speaker 15: afford it anymore.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: Handle.
- 1:03:19Speaker 16: I'm metaphorically dropping the mic. She's right.
- 1:03:23Speaker 6: Okay, bye.
- 1:03:24Speaker 9: Trey Parker, Mashed Down Forever, I love you, bye.
- 1:03:26Speaker 16: I mean, it brings up orgasmo.
- 1:03:27Speaker 6: That's a classic.
- 1:03:29Speaker 9: I got to keep talking about Trey Parker.
- 1:03:31Speaker 16: She can't leave.
- 1:03:32Speaker 7: Okay, I'm leaving.
- 1:03:33Speaker 16: She heard orgasmo and she couldn't handle it.
- 1:03:35Speaker 6: My favorite is Cannibal the Musical. Yes, yes. I was
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: thinking about that the other day.
- 1:03:39Speaker 10: She just ran away and now she's running back.
- 1:03:42Speaker 16: She had to come back.
- 1:03:43Speaker 6: Because it's awesome.
- 1:03:44Speaker 18: Yes.
- 1:03:45Speaker 16: Spaceballs? Or wait, no, Basketball.
- 1:03:49Speaker 6: I don't know if I count that. That wasn't their movie.
- 1:03:52Speaker 6: They just happened to be in it.
- 1:03:54Speaker 11: It's sort of on the lesser end, but Cannibal the Musical,
- 1:03:58Speaker 11: that's top quality.
- 1:03:59Speaker 16: Well, I guess we should go play a rock show
- 1:04:01Speaker 16: or something.
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: Probably. Speaking of which, what's the other song to send
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: them off with? We'll give them one more of yours
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: to round it out.
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: Okay.
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: Yeah, Sour Blooms.
- 1:04:12Speaker 17: Sour Blooms reminds me of The NeverEnding Story. Nice.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: And you're right, like bringing up Sour Blooms to me
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: is always the most visual in my mind. We don't
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: have a music video for it yet, but I love
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: that because in my mind I'd want like $ 20, 000 so
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: you could literally animate everything we're singing.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Nice.
- 1:04:31Speaker 9: All right.
- 1:04:32Speaker 16: You know, the lyrics are just, they'll speak for themselves.
- 1:04:35Speaker 6: Like drawn animation? Or are you going like stop motion animation? Rotoscope. Rotoscope.
- 1:04:40Speaker 11: See, that's good stuff. Well, I hope you at least
- 1:04:43Speaker 11: have a luck dragon worked in there somewhere.
- 1:04:45Speaker 10: Okay.
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:04:47Speaker 9: They hear it. Are you going to watch the show?
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: Yeah, definitely.
- 1:04:50Speaker 9: I'll try to make it.
- 1:04:51Speaker 15: Point at you when I.
- 1:04:52Speaker 17: Think Falkor flies during the song, I'll.
- 1:04:54Speaker 16: Try to be like, it's now.
- 1:04:56Speaker 6: It is an interactive event now. Imagine right now. You
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: need to at least get one on a stick and
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: go by and just kind of.
- 1:05:03Speaker 9: That would be awesome.
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: Just a big paper luck dragon.
- 1:05:08Speaker 11: Alright, well thank you for hanging out and you should
- 1:05:10Speaker 11: go rock out. All right, a big thank you once
- 1:05:27Speaker 11: again to.
- 1:05:27Speaker 6: The Dead Deads.
- 1:05:28Speaker 11: They are touring quite a bit right now, so definitely
- 1:05:30Speaker 11: go out and see them because they put on a
- 1:05:32Speaker 11: hell of a live show. To find out where they're
- 1:05:34Speaker 11: playing next and for links to all those other social
- 1:05:36Speaker 11: medias that they mentioned, I say.
- 1:05:38Speaker 6: Start at thedeaddeads.com and take it from there.
- 1:05:41Speaker 11: Now it's time for the final song, so get out
- 1:05:43Speaker 11: your luck dragons on a stick and let them fly
- 1:05:45Speaker 11: high as we go out on.
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: Sour Blooms from the Dead Deads.
- 1:05:49Speaker 11: Thank you once again for joining us, and with that
- 1:05:51Speaker 11: I will remind you, get a life, and we'll provide
- 1:05:52Speaker 11: the soundtrack.
- 1:07:07Speaker 21: The Avenue.
- 1:07:32Speaker 12: The avenue, the avenue close behind. They follow you, they
- 1:07:39Speaker 12: follow you. Not your kind. It's coming true, it's coming true.
- 1:07:47Speaker 12: The dream that I had last night.
- 1:07:50Speaker 18: Inside of you, they run their roof.
- 1:07:54Speaker 7: Out of your mind.
- 1:08:09Speaker 21: Storm of blood.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: From the sky into the sea. Fall of blood, what's
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: the make of all these things? When the mountains overturn,
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: clinging to the trees in flight. When you see the
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: forest burn, sour blooms the moon. The disarray, the disarray,
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: the disarray clean and bright.
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: It swallows you, it swallows.
