Transcript
- 0:00Did you know that God has a day timer?
- 0:04And in this day timer is contained a 7,000-year
- 0:08master plan. Today we look into
- 0:11Genesis chapter 1 and we see the 6 days of
- 0:16creation, and on the 7th day God rests.
- 0:212 Peter tells us that one day is like 1,000
- 0:25years and 1,000 years is like one day.
- 0:30Join us as we look at what God's master plan is for
- 0:34the ages. The other thing we're going to look at today
- 0:37is Trump's 20-point peace plan for the Middle East.
- 0:42Will it last? Will it bring peace to the Middle
- 0:46East? Are there some concerns, some landmines
- 0:52that we might need to avoid? Some traps that we
- 0:56hadn't thought about? Listen in as we hear from Michele Bachmann
- 1:01with her insights and keen analysis on the 20-point
- 1:05peace plan. Welcome to the Daily Audio Torah.
- 1:09Today is October 29th. Now let's continue our
- 1:13journey reading through the entire Bible in one year. This week we are
- 1:17reading from the New Living Translation for the Old Testament and for the New
- 1:21Testament.
- 1:26Genesis 1:1-2:19.
- 1:30In the beginning God created the heavens and the
- 1:33earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered
- 1:38the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface
- 1:42of the waters. Then God said, let there be light,
- 1:46And there was light. And God saw that the light was
- 1:49good. Then He separated the light from the darkness.
- 1:53God called the light Day and the darkness Night.
- 1:56And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day.
- 2:00Then God said, Let there be a space between the waters to
- 2:04separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.
- 2:08And that is what happened.
- 2:11God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from
- 2:14the waters of the heavens. God called the space
- 2:18Sky. And evening passed and morning came,
- 2:22marking the second day. Then God said, Let the
- 2:25waters beneath the sky flow together into one place so
- 2:28dry ground may appear. And that is what happened.
- 2:32God called the dry ground Land and the waters Seas.
- 2:37And God saw that it was good. Then God said,
- 2:41let the land sprout with vegetation, every sort of seed-bearing
- 2:45plant and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds
- 2:49will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.
- 2:53And that is what happened. The land produced vegetation,
- 2:57all sorts of seed-bearing plants and trees with seed-bearing fruit.
- 3:02Their seeds produced plants and trees of the same kind.
- 3:05And God saw that it was good. And evening
- 3:08passed and morning came, marking the 3rd day.
- 3:12Then God said, Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from
- 3:16the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days,
- 3:19and years. Let these lights in the sky shine down on the
- 3:24earth. And that is what happened. God made
- 3:272 great lights, the larger one to govern the day and the smaller one to
- 3:31govern the night. He also made the stars.
- 3:34God set these lights in the sky to light the earth, to govern
- 3:38the day and night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw
- 3:43that it was good. And evening passed and morning came, marking the 4th
- 3:47day. And then God said, let the waters swarm with fish
- 3:51and other life. Let the skies be filled with birds of every kind.
- 3:56So God created great sea creatures and every
- 3:59living thing that scurries and swarms in the water,
- 4:02and every sort of bird, each producing offspring of the same
- 4:06kind. And God saw that it was good.
- 4:09Then God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply; let
- 4:13the fish fill the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth.
- 4:18And evening passed and morning came, marking the 5th day.
- 4:22Then God said, Let the earth produce every sort of animal, each producing
- 4:26offspring of the same kind: livestock, small animals
- 4:29that scurry along the ground, and wild animals. And that is what
- 4:33happened. God made all sorts of wild animals,
- 4:38livestock, and small animals, each able to produce offspring of the
- 4:42same kind. And God saw that it was good.
- 4:45Then God said, let us make human beings in our image, to be
- 4:49like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea,
- 4:52the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on
- 4:56the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.
- 5:00So God created human beings in his own image.
- 5:03In the image of God he created them; male and female he
- 5:07created them. Then God blessed them and said,
- 5:10be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and govern
- 5:14it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky,
- 5:17and all the animals that scurry along the ground.
- 5:21Then God said, look, I have given you every seed-bearing plant
- 5:25throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food. And I
- 5:29have given every green plant as food for all the wild animals, the birds
- 5:33in the sky, and the small animals that scurry along the ground— everything that
- 5:38has life. And that is what happened. Then God looked
- 5:42over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good. And evening
- 5:46passed and morning came, marking the 6th day.
- 5:51So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything
- 5:54in them was completed. On the 7th day God had finished
- 5:59his work of creation, so he rested from all his work.
- 6:03And God blessed the 7th day and declared it holy,
- 6:06because it was the day when he rested from all his
- 6:10work of creation. This is
- 6:13the account of the creation of the heavens and the earth. When the
- 6:18Lord God made the earth and the heavens, neither wild plants nor grains
- 6:22were growing on the earth. For the Lord God had not yet
- 6:25sent rain to water the earth, and there were no people to cultivate
- 6:29the soil. Instead, springs came up from the ground and watered
- 6:34all the land. And then the Lord God formed the man from the dust
- 6:38of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into
- 6:42the man's nostrils, and the man became
- 6:45a living person. Then the Lord God
- 6:48planted a garden in Eden in the east, and there he placed the
- 6:52man he had made. The Lord God made all sorts of trees grow up
- 6:57from the ground, trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious
- 7:01fruit. In the middle of the garden He placed the Tree of Life and
- 7:05the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. A river flowed
- 7:09from the land of Eden, watering the garden and then dividing into 4 branches.
- 7:13The first branch, called Pishon, flowed around
- 7:17the entire land of Havilah, where gold is found. The gold
- 7:21of that land is exceptionally pure. Aromatic resin and onyx
- 7:25stone are also found there. The second branch, called Gihon,
- 7:28flowed around the entire land of Cush. The third branch,
- 7:32called the Tigris, flowed east of the land of Asshur.
- 7:36The fourth branch is called the Euphrates. The Lord
- 7:40God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it.
- 7:44But The Lord God warned him, you may freely eat
- 7:49the fruit of every tree in the garden except the tree
- 7:53of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit,
- 7:57you are sure to die. Then the Lord God said,
- 8:01it is not good for the man to be alone. I will
- 8:05make a helper who is just right for him.
- 8:08So the Lord God formed the ground from the ground
- 8:12all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky.
- 8:17He brought them to the man to see what he would call them,
- 8:20and the man chose a name for each one.
- 8:27Lamentations 1:1-2:22.
- 8:33Jerusalem's streets, once bustling with people, are now silent.
- 8:37Like a widow broken with grief, she sits alone in her mourning.
- 8:41Once the queen of nations, she is now a slave.
- 8:45She sobs through the night; tears stream down her cheeks.
- 8:49Among all her lovers, there is no one left to help her.
- 8:52All her friends have betrayed her; they are now her enemies.
- 8:56Judah has been led away into captivity, afflicted and
- 9:00enslaved. She lives among foreign nations and has no
- 9:03place of rest. Her enemies have chased her down,
- 9:07and she has nowhere to turn. The roads to Jerusalem are
- 9:11in mourning, no longer filled with crowds on
- 9:14their way to celebrate the Temple festivals. The city gates are
- 9:18silent. Her priests groan. Her young women
- 9:22are crying. How bitterly Jerusalem weeps!
- 9:25Her oppressors have become her masters, and her enemies prosper,
- 9:29for the Lord has punished Jerusalem for her many sins.
- 9:33Her children have been captured and taken away to distant lands.
- 9:38All the beauty and majesty of Jerusalem are gone.
- 9:41Her princes are like starving deer searching for pasture,
- 9:45too weak to run from the pursuing enemy.
- 9:48And now, in the midst of her sadness and wandering, Jerusalem remembers
- 9:53her ancient splendor. But then she fell
- 9:56to her enemy, and there was no one to help her. Her enemies struck her
- 10:01down and laughed as she fell. Jerusalem has sinned greatly,
- 10:05so she has been tossed away like a filthy rag.
- 10:09All who once honored her now despise her, for they have
- 10:12seen her stripped naked and humiliated. All she can do is groan
- 10:16and hide her face. She defiled herself with
- 10:20immorality with no thought of the punishment that would follow.
- 10:24Now she lies in the gutter with no one to lift her out.
- 10:27Lord, see my deep misery! she cries.
- 10:31The enemy has triumphed! The enemy has plundered
- 10:35her completely, taking everything precious that she owns.
- 10:39She has seen foreigners violate her sacred Temple,
- 10:42the place the Lord has forbidden them to enter.
- 10:47Her people groan as they search for bread.
- 10:50They have sold their treasures for food to stay alive. O Lord,
- 10:54look, she mourns, and see how I am despised!
- 10:57Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look around
- 11:01and see if there is any suffering like mine, which the Lord brought on
- 11:05me in the day of his fierce anger. He has sent fire
- 11:10from heaven that burns in my bones; he has placed a trap in my
- 11:14path and turned me back. He has made me desolate, racked with
- 11:18sickness all day long. He wove my sins into ropes to
- 11:22hitch me to a yoke of captivity. The Lord sapped my
- 11:26strength and gave me to my enemies. I am helpless in their hands.
- 11:31The Lord has treated my mighty men with contempt. At His command,
- 11:35a great army has come to crush my young warriors. The Lord
- 11:39has trampled His beloved city as grapes are trampled in a winepress.
- 11:43For all these things I weep. Tears flow down my cheeks.
- 11:47No one is here to comfort me. Any who might encourage me
- 11:51are far away. My children have no future, for the enemy
- 11:55has conquered us. Jerusalem pleads for help,
- 11:59but no one comforts her. Regarding His people, the Lord has said,
- 12:03Let their neighbors be their neighbors. Let them be thrown away like
- 12:07a filthy rag. And the Lord is right, she groans,
- 12:10for I rebelled against Him. Listen, people everywhere!
- 12:13Look upon my anguish and despair, for my sons and daughters have
- 12:18been taken captive to distant lands. I begged my allies
- 12:21for help, but they betrayed me. My priests and leaders starved
- 12:26to death in the city even as they searched for food to save their lives.
- 12:30Lord, see my anguish! My heart is broken and my
- 12:34soul despairs, for I have rebelled against You. In the streets
- 12:38the sword kills, and at home there is only death. Others heard
- 12:42my groans, but no one turned to comfort me. When my enemies heard
- 12:46of my troubles, they were happy to see what You had done. O bring
- 12:50the day You promised, when You will destroy them as You
- 12:54have destroyed me. Look at all their evil deeds, Lord.
- 12:58Punish them as You have punished me for all my sins.
- 13:01My groans are many, and my heart is faint.
- 13:06The Lord in His anger has cast a dark shadow
- 13:09over Jerusalem. The fairest of Israel's cities lies
- 13:13in the dust thrown down from the heights of heaven.
- 13:17In His day of awesome fury, the Lord has shown no mercy
- 13:21even to His temple. Without mercy, the Lord has destroyed
- 13:25every home in Israel. In His anger, He has
- 13:28broken down the fortress walls of Jerusalem. He has
- 13:31brought to dust the kingdom and all its rulers.
- 13:35All the strength of Israel vanishes beneath His fury.
- 13:38The Lord has withdrawn His protection as the enemy
- 13:42attacks. He consumes the whole land of Israel like a raging
- 13:46fire. He bends His bow against His people as though
- 13:50He were their enemy. His strength is used against them
- 13:54to kill their finest youth. His fury is poured
- 13:58out like fire on beautiful Jerusalem. Yes,
- 14:01the Lord has vanquished Israel like an enemy.
- 14:04He has destroyed her forts and palaces. He has
- 14:08brought unending sorrow and tears to Jerusalem.
- 14:11He has broken down His temple as though it were merely
- 14:15a garden shelter. The Lord has blotted out all
- 14:19memory of the holy festivals and Sabbath days. Kings and
- 14:23priests fall together before His anger. The Lord has
- 14:26rejected His own altar; He despises His
- 14:30own sanctuary. He has given Jerusalem's palaces
- 14:33to her enemies. They shout in the
- 14:37Lord's Temple as though it were a day of celebration. The Lord
- 14:41was determined to destroy the walls of Jerusalem. He made
- 14:45careful plans for their destruction; then He went ahead and did it.
- 14:49Therefore the ramparts and walls have fallen down before Him.
- 14:53Jerusalem's gates have sunk into the ground. All their
- 14:56locks and bars are destroyed, for he has smashed them.
- 15:00Her kings and princes have been exiled to distant lands.
- 15:04The law is no more. Her prophets receive no more visions
- 15:08from the Lord. The leaders of Jerusalem sit
- 15:11on the ground in silence, clothed in sackcloth. They throw
- 15:15dust on their heads in sorrow and despair. The young women
- 15:18of Jerusalem hang their heads in shame. I have cried
- 15:23until the tears no longer come. My heart is broken,
- 15:26my spirit poured out, as I see what has happened to my people.
- 15:31Little children and tiny babies are fainting and dying in the streets.
- 15:35Mama, we want food! they cry, and then collapse in their mother's
- 15:39arms. Their lives ebb away like the life of a warrior
- 15:43wounded in battle. In all the world has there ever been such
- 15:47sorrow? O daughter of Jerusalem, to what can
- 15:50I compare your anguish? O virgin daughter of Zion,
- 15:54how can I comfort you? For your wound is as deep as the
- 15:58sea. Who can heal you? Your prophets have said so
- 16:02many foolish things, false to the core. They did not try to hold
- 16:07you back from exile by pointing out your sins. Instead, they painted
- 16:10false pictures, filling you with false hope.
- 16:14All who pass by jeer at you. They scoff and insult
- 16:18Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city called Most Beautiful in all
- 16:22the world and Joy of all the Earth? All your
- 16:25enemies deride you. They scoff and grind their teeth
- 16:30and say, We have destroyed her at last!
- 16:33Long have we awaited this day, and it is finally here.
- 16:38But it is the Lord who did it just as He warned.
- 16:41He has fulfilled the promises of disaster He made long ago.
- 16:45He has destroyed Jerusalem without mercy and caused her
- 16:49enemies to rejoice over her and boast of their power.
- 16:52Cry aloud before the Lord, O walls of Jerusalem!
- 16:56Let your tears flow like a river. Give yourselves no
- 17:00rest from weeping day or night. Rise during the night
- 17:04and cry out. Pour out your hearts like water
- 17:07to the Lord. Lift up your hands to Him in prayer.
- 17:11Plead for your children as they faint with hunger in the streets.
- 17:15O Lord, think about this, Jerusalem cries.
- 17:19You are doing this to your own people. Should mothers eat
- 17:23their little children, those they once bounced on their knees?
- 17:26Should priests and prophets die within the Lord's Temple?
- 17:30See them lying in the streets, young and old, boys and girls,
- 17:34killed by the swords of the enemy. You have killed them in your anger,
- 17:38slaughtering them. Without mercy. You have invited terrors
- 17:42from all around as though you were calling them to a day of feasting.
- 17:47In the day of the Lord's anger, no one has escaped or
- 17:51survived. The enemy has killed all the children I bore
- 17:55and raised.
- 17:59Philemon 1:25.
- 18:02This letter is from Paul, in prison for preaching the good news about
- 18:07Christ Jesus, and from our brother Timothy. It is written to Philemon,
- 18:11our much-loved coworker, and to our sister Apphia
- 18:15and Archippus, a fellow soldier of the cross.
- 18:19I am also writing to the church that meets in your house.
- 18:23May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace
- 18:27and peace. I always thank God when I pray for you,
- 18:30Philemon, because I keep hearing of your trust in the Lord
- 18:33Jesus and your love for all of God's people.
- 18:37You are generous because of your faith, and I am praying that
- 18:41you will really put your generosity to work, for in so doing you
- 18:45will come to an understanding of all the good things we can do for Christ.
- 18:49I myself have gained much joy and comfort from your love, my brother,
- 18:54because your kindness has so often refreshed the hearts
- 18:58of God's people. That is why I am boldly asking a
- 19:01favor of you, I could demand it in the name of Christ
- 19:05because it is the right thing for you to do, but because of our love,
- 19:09I prefer just to ask you. So take this as a request
- 19:13from your friend Paul, an old man now in prison for the sake
- 19:17of Christ Jesus. My plea is that you show kindness to
- 19:21Onesimus. I think of him as my own son because
- 19:24he became a believer as a result of my ministry here
- 19:28in prison. Onesimus hasn't been much use to
- 19:32you in the past, but now he is very useful to both of us.
- 19:36I am sending him back to you, and with him comes my own heart.
- 19:40I really wanted to keep him here with me while I am in these
- 19:43chains for preaching the Good News, and he would have helped me
- 19:47on your behalf. But I didn't want to do anything without your
- 19:50consent, and I didn't want you to help because you were forced
- 19:55to do it, but because you wanted to. Perhaps you could think of it this
- 19:58way: Onesimus ran away for a little while so
- 20:01you could have him back forever. He is no longer
- 20:05just a slave; he is a beloved brother, especially to me.
- 20:09Now he will mean much more to you both as a slave and
- 20:13as a brother in the Lord. So if you consider me your partner,
- 20:17give him the same welcome you would give me if I were coming.
- 20:21If he has harmed you in any way or stolen anything from you,
- 20:25charge me for it. I, Paul, write this in my own handwriting.
- 20:30I will repay it, and I won't mention that you owe me
- 20:33your very soul. Yes, dear brother, please do
- 20:38me this favor for the Lord's sake. Give me this encouragement in
- 20:42Christ. I am confident as I write this letter that you will
- 20:45do what I ask and even more. Please keep
- 20:49a guest room ready for me, for I am hoping that God will answer your
- 20:53prayers and let me return to you soon.
- 20:55Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you his greetings.
- 21:00So do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke,
- 21:04my coworkers. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with
- 21:07your spirit.
- 21:11Psalm 101:1-8.
- 21:16I will sing of your love and justice; I will praise you, Lord, with songs.
- 21:21I will be careful to live a blameless life. When will
- 21:25you come to my aid? I will lead a life of integrity in my
- 21:29own home. I will refuse to look at anything vile
- 21:32and vulgar. I hate all crooked dealings. I will have
- 21:36nothing to do with them. I will reject perverse ideas and
- 21:40stay away from every evil. I will not
- 21:44tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not
- 21:48endure conceit and pride. I will keep a protective
- 21:52eye on the godly so they may dwell with Me in safety.
- 21:56Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve Me. I will
- 22:00not allow deceivers to serve Me, and liars will not be
- 22:04allowed to enter My presence. My daily task
- 22:07will be to ferret out criminals and free the City of the
- 22:11Lord from their grip.
- 22:15Proverbs 26:20: Fire goes out for lack of
- 22:18fuel, and quarrels disappear when gossip stops.
- 22:25Genesis, the book of beginnings.
- 22:29Today we read Genesis chapter 1 and 2,
- 22:33and it's amazing to think about and reflect on and
- 22:38contemplate What if you could have been there watching
- 22:42and observing during that first creation week?
- 22:48What's amazing to think about is that when God spoke,
- 22:54then there was light. And when He spoke,
- 22:58then there was a space between the waters to separate
- 23:02the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth. He each
- 23:07day, all He had to do was speak the Word
- 23:12and what He spoke came into being. It's incredible!
- 23:18The Trinity— Father, Son,
- 23:22and Holy Spirit— is revealed to us in Genesis 1:26
- 23:27where it is written, then God said, let Us Make
- 23:32man in our image,
- 23:36according to our likeness. So there
- 23:40God is referring to himself in plural,
- 23:45that there is God the Father, God the Son,
- 23:48and God the Holy Spirit.
- 23:52The other thing that's absolutely remarkable and amazing is
- 23:56that if you look at Genesis chapter 1, verse 1, In Hebrew,
- 24:01in the Hebrew letters, there is a word right in the middle of the sentence,
- 24:06and it's comprised of 2 letters: Aleph-Tav.
- 24:10The Aleph is like our letter A, and the Tav
- 24:14is like our letter Z. So when we say
- 24:18Alpha and Omega, or A to Z,
- 24:21it's Aleph and Tav. It's the first and the last letter of
- 24:25the Hebrew alphabet. And when Jews read this,
- 24:29they have no word for Aleph Tav.
- 24:32But Aleph Tav is a reference to Jesus Christ.
- 24:36He is the beginning and the end. He was there
- 24:40in the beginning and He is there all the way in the end.
- 24:43He is the Alpha and Omega. And there He is found
- 24:48in Genesis chapter 1, verse 1.
- 24:52The other thing we can glean is, as we look at this and
- 24:55break it down, is in John chapter 1,
- 24:59we see another angle of what
- 25:02was going on on day 1 of the creation week.
- 25:06John tells us in John chapter 1, verse 1, in the beginning
- 25:09was the Word, and the Word was with God,
- 25:14and the Word was God. Well,
- 25:17what does he mean by the Word? What is this Word?
- 25:21Well, then he tells us a little bit later on,
- 25:26And it tells us that the Word became flesh
- 25:30and dwelt among us. And that's
- 25:33in John chapter 1, verse 14.
- 25:38And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
- 25:43So the Word is Jesus.
- 25:47When he says in John chapter 1, verse 1, in the beginning was
- 25:50the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God,
- 25:53The Word is a reference to Jesus Christ. So before
- 25:57Jesus became a man and made of flesh,
- 26:01He was the Word. And then when He
- 26:05became a man, the Word became flesh.
- 26:09Another thing I want to bring out is that in a way, when we
- 26:12read Genesis 1:1, we're opening
- 26:16up God's Daytimer. God has a master
- 26:20plan for the world. He has a 6,000-year
- 26:24plan, and He knew long
- 26:28before He ever said, let there be light, He had you in mind.
- 26:34You were in His heart. He knew you. He had you in His mind,
- 26:38but also He knew that man was going to sin and
- 26:42that man was going to need a Redeemer, a Savior.
- 26:46So He knew all of that before He ever said, let there be
- 26:49light. So God has a master 6,000-year
- 26:53plan, and every single day of creation can be
- 26:58representative of 1,000 years.
- 27:02So in 2 Peter
- 27:053:8, it says this, but beloved, be not
- 27:09ignorant of this one thing, that one day is
- 27:13with the Lord as 1,000 years and
- 27:171,000 years as one day.
- 27:21And so basically this is giving us like a key.
- 27:26It's a, it's a piece to the puzzle to help us unlock Genesis
- 27:31chapter 1, that one, every single day is like
- 27:361,000 years. And so where
- 27:40are we on this timeline? Now set
- 27:44aside anything you may have in your background regarding
- 27:49the Earth being billions and billions of years old and the dinosaurs,
- 27:52and that's all made up.
- 27:56None of it can be proven. And they
- 28:00had to have billions of years to work with, millions of years
- 28:04in order for the evolutionary theory, the theory of evolution,
- 28:08to work. For that theory to work, you have to have millions and millions
- 28:12of years. But in all actuality,
- 28:16the Earth is a very young Earth. I'm not going to go into detail
- 28:20on it. There's lots of information out there about the
- 28:24truth of Genesis and that we have a young Earth.
- 28:28Very likely, we are in getting
- 28:33close to entering the end of the 6th day,
- 28:36the end of the 6,000 years, and we're very
- 28:40close to stepping over the line into the final 1,000
- 28:44years. Now what's significant about that final 1,000 years,
- 28:48the 7th day, is that those are the 1,000
- 28:52years that Jesus Christ is going to rule and reign from
- 28:55Jerusalem. So how close are we to stepping
- 29:00to finishing out the 6th day and stepping into
- 29:04the 7th day? Now keep in mind, with Hebrews,
- 29:09a day begins at sunset. And so
- 29:12a new day begins when the sun sets.
- 29:17So keep that in mind that God has a day
- 29:21timer It's a 6,000-year plan,
- 29:24and He plans to send His Son on a second
- 29:28visit, a second time to come back to the earth. And this
- 29:32time He's not coming as a lamb, a sacrificial
- 29:36lamb. He's coming as a conquering King. He's coming to judge
- 29:40the earth and to deal with all the evil and the wickedness upon this
- 29:44earth, to cleanse the earth and to make it fit and
- 29:49cleansed and set apart for us to rule and reign
- 29:53with Him. So that's a little
- 29:56bit about Genesis chapter 1, but now I want to
- 30:00turn our attention to a very, very important topic.
- 30:07At the time of this particular recording, it is October 21st,
- 30:102025.
- 30:14And 20 living hostages have
- 30:18been returned from the Gaza Strip back to Israel.
- 30:22A number of the dead murdered bodies of
- 30:26hostages are being returned, but not all of them have yet
- 30:30to be returned. Trump has rolled out his 20-point
- 30:35peace plan for the Middle East, and Trump
- 30:39went on a visit to Israel and also
- 30:43went to Egypt to convene with a number of Arab
- 30:48leaders who all signed on to this 20-point
- 30:53peace plan. Now, Israel is ecstatic
- 30:57and elated that their 20 living hostages have
- 31:01been returned to them,
- 31:04but there are some really grave concerns
- 31:08about this 20-point peace plan. And as of the
- 31:12time of this recording, Hamas has not complied
- 31:17with phase 2 of the peace plan. And in phase 2, they are
- 31:21to lay down their arms, turn them in, and they
- 31:25will be given diplomatic grace to
- 31:28leave the country. They will not have any kind of a
- 31:32role in a future government of
- 31:36Gaza. And Hamas has not laid down their arms.
- 31:40In fact, there was an attack and 2 IDF soldiers were killed,
- 31:44and they are now murdering some of their own fellow Gazans,
- 31:48executing them execution style. So will this
- 31:52fragile peace last? Trump has
- 31:57called it an eternal, everlasting peace,
- 32:01but it does not look like it's going to last very
- 32:05long. At all. The world
- 32:09is desperate for peace.
- 32:12There's been so much bloodshed and so much sorrow
- 32:16and grief and mourning and loss of fallen soldiers,
- 32:21of hostages that have been kept in inhumane conditions
- 32:25in dark tunnels. The world desperately wants
- 32:30peace. So I'm going to play a clip for
- 32:34you, and it is from an interview with Michelle Bachmann,
- 32:39and it was with the Family Research Council
- 32:43hosted by Tony Perkins, and it's her commentary
- 32:48regarding this 20-point peace plan.
- 32:51I'm going to go ahead and play the clip,
- 32:55and afterwards I would ask that you pray Pray,
- 33:01pray for Israel. Understanding of how we
- 33:05can pray. So with that backdrop, Michelle, let's talk
- 33:09about Israel, this search for peace. We've heard a lot about
- 33:13that this week, the president making a speech about eternal peace,
- 33:17but we know that peace in that region is temporal
- 33:21until the Prince of Peace comes to reign.
- 33:25So how do we deal with that between now and when that
- 33:29occurs? Hopefully soon, but it's not happened yet, right? Well,
- 33:33I think the main thing— the main thing for believers is to know your Bible,
- 33:37because the Lord tells us so much about what's
- 33:41going to happen with Israel. We know that he neither slumbers
- 33:44nor sleeps. We know that his strong right hand preserves
- 33:49them. We know with Ezekiel 38 that nations will come against them, but God will
- 33:53save them, and the Jewish people will then turn to the Lord. So we actually
- 33:57have quite a bit of information, but we also are told that
- 34:00as believers, it's our job to pray for Israel, to pray
- 34:04for the peace of Jerusalem. And as Pastor Jack taught us
- 34:08last night, that is praying for the coming of Messiah when we pray for
- 34:12the peace. And those will prosper who love thee.
- 34:16So we have to stay in the word and know the word and obey the
- 34:20word when it comes to Israel. Because when you read the word,
- 34:24Israel's in every part. It's from the beginning
- 34:27of the Bible all the way through Revelation.
- 34:31And so the number one key theme— you're a pastor,
- 34:34so, and I'm, I'm not, so— but, but the
- 34:38key theme of the Bible as I read it is the covenant, the covenant that
- 34:42God gave, because God is the Redeemer, and the scarlet thread
- 34:46of redemption runs through every bit of the Bible, and it's tied to
- 34:50Israel because the covenant is God gave a land
- 34:53and a people to the land. For what? For the purpose
- 34:57of blessing all families on earth. We're blessed as
- 35:01individuals, we're blessed as nations if we bless Israel.
- 35:05And then concomitantly, if we curse Israel,
- 35:08we're cursed as individuals and we're cursed as nations.
- 35:12And so, as a member of Congress sitting on the Intelligence Committee,
- 35:16I got this information. I could not share it with people,
- 35:19as you said, but I knew that the reason why I was
- 35:23there is because I was filled with the Holy Spirit. And so,
- 35:26the Holy Spirit would give me wisdom about what I was hearing.
- 35:29A lot of it was lies. That was during the Obama years, and we would
- 35:33have the FBI, the leader of the FBI, leader of the CIA, leader of Director
- 35:38of National Intelligence, Very small committee, nothing was ever on TV,
- 35:41but we would hear the classified secrets of the nation all day long.
- 35:46And I knew the Holy Spirit would show me different lies.
- 35:50And I had other people come in to brief me privately who knew what was
- 35:53going on, who would confirm, deny, whatever. And so it
- 35:57was a very unique perch to have for a period of time. And I'm extremely
- 36:01grateful for having that background and information. That informs me
- 36:05today with what I see in the newspaper. So you have to read
- 36:09between the lines in order to get what the truth is.
- 36:12But you all have the ability to have the
- 36:16mind of Christ, right? So you have the mind of Christ, you have the Holy
- 36:19Spirit living within you, you know the word of God. You pick up
- 36:24the newspaper, you can have discernment to know what's
- 36:28going on, how to pray, and what to do. So let me answer
- 36:32your question, I guess. Sorry, that was, that was the prefix. So that was
- 36:36a great answer. So, so the answer is, as this
- 36:40peace deal came up from President Trump, I was, I was opposed to this.
- 36:43He had a 21-point plan, then it morphed into a 20-point plan,
- 36:47and out of nowhere came the president's son-in-law together
- 36:51with, uh, Steve Witkoff, and he brought these 2 in to
- 36:55handle it. It perplexed me. We have a Secretary of State named Marco
- 36:58Rubio Why wasn't he the one involved in these negotiations?
- 37:02Nonetheless, these 2 were involved in the negotiations.
- 37:06This is completely politically incorrect. I'm not speaking
- 37:10for Tony or FRC. I'm not speaking for Jack or for this wonderful
- 37:14church. But I was very concerned because of the historical
- 37:18nature of the relationships that both Mr.
- 37:20Witkoff and Jared Kushner had with Saudi
- 37:25Arabia, and with Qatar, because Qatar is
- 37:28the number one funder of terrorism in the world.
- 37:32The number one nation-state of terrorism in the world is Iran.
- 37:37So they're twin nations that are twin partners in terror.
- 37:41Iran is the chief sponsor of terrorism. Qatar is the chief funder.
- 37:46You need to know this about Qatar. Qatar is only 330,000
- 37:52people. That's it. It's the size of Pittsburgh.
- 37:55That's Qatar. They have 2 million slaves that work
- 37:59for them. They take their passports away from them, but it's only
- 38:03330,000 people. So why are they such smarty
- 38:06pants? Qatar. It's because they have money.
- 38:10They control 14% of the natural gas
- 38:13in the world. 330,000 people. These are
- 38:17the richest people in the world. World in Qatar,
- 38:20some of the richest. And so one thing that I do
- 38:24know, they believe very strongly in political Islam.
- 38:28And so they are all about advancing,
- 38:31conquering the world for Islam. They're very committed.
- 38:35So they put their money where their mouth is. They're the chief propagandists in
- 38:39the world. So then what happened in the last few months from America?
- 38:43President Trump President Trump's first foreign policy
- 38:47trip was to meet with Qatar, with Saudi Arabia.
- 38:51Of the 19 hijackers who took down the Twin Towers
- 38:55and the Pentagon and Flight 93, 17 of the 19
- 38:59were Saudis. So we're trying to main— to have
- 39:03a relationship with the Saudis and the Qataris. And Syria. The self-appointed
- 39:08president of Syria was number 4 on the terror
- 39:12watch list. We were offering $10 million for the scalp
- 39:16of this guy who appointed himself the head of Syria.
- 39:20And when President Trump went over, this, this terrorist put on a suit, trimmed his
- 39:24beard, changed his clothes, and President Trump's in a photo
- 39:28shaking hands with this guy. And I just thought, this is a little shocking
- 39:31to me. You normally don't see like something like this, but there's been
- 39:36a lot of private deals done financial
- 39:40deals with people who are involved in foreign policy. This is very
- 39:43unusual. If you have Qatar's junior business
- 39:47partners conducting American foreign policy with
- 39:51them, especially regarding Israel, I've never
- 39:56seen anything like this before. So I'm standing back trying to watch
- 40:00what's going on. So then the plan comes out, and this made
- 40:03all the bells go off in my head because contained with the plan
- 40:09plan is the understanding that Israel, that by the way, they were within
- 40:132 weeks of winning this war with Hamas. They already controlled
- 40:1780% of Gaza. They were just right there coming
- 40:21in for the victory. Go back to World War II.
- 40:24We soundly defeated Imperial Japan,
- 40:27soundly defeated Nazi Germany. So when
- 40:30that happened, they're clear winner, clear loser. That's what you need in the Middle
- 40:34East for the Arab mind. The Arab mind needs to know there's a
- 40:39clear winner, clear loser, and by the way, the loser loses land. That's how
- 40:43the Arab mind works. So just about as Israel is reaching
- 40:47the goalpost, in comes our envoys,
- 40:50Wikhof and Jared Kushner, and say, wait, stop it.
- 40:54You can't win. Sorry, we're not gonna let you win. And so now
- 40:58we're gonna have a ceasefire. And now we're going to negotiate. And in the negotiation,
- 41:02Israel, you're not getting control over the land. You're not
- 41:06getting it. And by the way, if the Arabs
- 41:10do everything right, there's a hint they might get their own
- 41:14state out of this deal. Judea,
- 41:16Samaria, and maybe Gaza for their own country.
- 41:21I mean, this is like shocking stuff.
- 41:24Absolute barbarians. Murdering,
- 41:26raping barbarians. They're going to get rewarded and Israel's going
- 41:30to get what? 20 emaciated people back.
- 41:34That's what they're getting out of the deal. 20 emaciated people and
- 41:39dead corpses. That's the deal they're getting after they've
- 41:43lost the lives of 2,500 people in 2 years
- 41:46in this nation when we saw one miracle from the hand of God
- 41:51after another. Week after week after week, you saw the miraculous
- 41:56hand of Almighty God win and defeat Hezbollah,
- 41:59defeat Iran, defeat in Yemen, defeat every enemy
- 42:03on 7 front wars. We watched the Bible
- 42:07play out for the last 2 years, and God was
- 42:11victorious over Israel's enemies. And just as
- 42:14we have the, the weakest of all enemies, Hamas,
- 42:18And Israel's about to go in and defeat them because again,
- 42:21Israel was handcuffed. We, the United States,
- 42:25we were the bad guys for the last 2 years under the Biden
- 42:29administration. America handcuffed Israel and told them, you're not
- 42:33allowed to win, you can't win. And we denied them ammunition.
- 42:37We denied them weapons. We made Israel's life miserable.
- 42:41That was under Joe Biden. Then when President Trump came in,
- 42:44it took a long time to ramp up to get them the weapons. And the
- 42:47ammunition. But then weirdly, out of nowhere,
- 42:51Jared Kushner reenters the scene. What, what had he been
- 42:54doing? He, he struck a $2.5 billion deal with the Saudis
- 42:59and the Qataris when President Trump left office the first
- 43:03time. Okay, that's his thing. That's what he's doing. But you're going to bring him
- 43:06back in to negotiate the deal?
- 43:09Somebody who has, has financial arrangements on
- 43:13the line and is a junior business partner of Saudi Arabia
- 43:17that's clearly been involved in terrorism against the United States,
- 43:20and Qatar, which is actively involved in terrorism. And you
- 43:25should know this, by the way. You wonder why American students,
- 43:29Christians, conservatives have turned against Israel?
- 43:32I'll tell you why. It's because for the last 2 years,
- 43:36it's documented, Qatar has spent over $200
- 43:40billion With the billion dollars in
- 43:43America targeting your kids and targeting you.
- 43:47They spent it on American newsrooms, on influencers,
- 43:51and in academic institutions. So all those riots at Columbia University
- 43:55paid for courtesy of Qatar.
- 43:58Not just Soros, Qatar.
- 44:02Okay, so why is American policy that we're going to allow that?
- 44:05Why is it that 2 weeks ago President Trump announced an executive
- 44:08order that we, the United States, are going
- 44:12to give a NATO-type guarantee to Qatar.
- 44:15Anybody who attacks Qatar,
- 44:18America is going to defend Qatar. In what universe?
- 44:22Why? This just came out just this week.
- 44:25It came out. I love Pete Hegseth. I went to
- 44:29church with him since he was in high school. Beautiful believer. But he
- 44:33had He had a meeting where he was with,
- 44:37I think, his counterpart from Qatar, saying that now we are
- 44:41going to host Qatari F-15s in Boise, Idaho,
- 44:45on an American airbase. So why are we rewarding
- 44:49the chief funder of terrorism, the nation that has housed
- 44:53and hosted Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood,
- 44:57a radical terrorist organization? Why are we rewarding
- 45:02them when their goal is— and they've been propagandizing
- 45:06our students against Israel. Why are we doing
- 45:10this? So I'm asking these questions and thinking, I don't
- 45:14know, I'm looking at this 20-point plan and they're talking about taking away Israel's
- 45:19land, which would violate Joel chapter 3, that's right, verses 1 through 3,
- 45:23and perhaps take away control, or at least
- 45:27at minimum allowing Israel the right to take—
- 45:31to annex, which means to put their sovereignty
- 45:35over Judea-Samaria. Which since 1967,
- 45:39Israel owned Gaza and they've owned Judea-Samaria.
- 45:43So under international law, this is their land. And now
- 45:48it looks like under the Trump plan, The plan is saying,
- 45:52yeah, Israel, you've owned it since '67, but Gaza, we're gonna sever
- 45:55that off and we're gonna give it to Qatar and we're gonna
- 45:59give it to Saudi Arabia and we're gonna give it to all these wealthy Arabs.
- 46:03You paid the blood and treasure, but we're giving it to them.
- 46:06In what universe? And Judea,
- 46:09Samaria. In what universe? So I'm
- 46:13looking at this thinking, oh,
- 46:16This isn't political, this is biblical. And so what's
- 46:21going to happen to the United States of America?
- 46:24Because God is no respecter of persons. We will
- 46:27not mock Him when it comes to His people.
- 46:31And, and again, Pastor Jack has been brilliant to teach
- 46:34his congregation about the times that we're living in.
- 46:38These are prophetic days as we're looking at all these convergence
- 46:42of events that are happening that the Bible predicts.
- 46:45This is when we want to sit up and fly right and
- 46:49make sure that we're part of the 5 virgins with full oil lamps right
- 46:54now, because the King is coming. That's right.
- 46:59I'm glad a woman delivered that message just now,
- 47:03because wow. Well, I won't be invited
- 47:07to the White House for Christmas, I can tell you that. No, but you're— and
- 47:10I don't mean to be mean. I honestly, I'm not mean. I'm not. I think
- 47:14we have to be, we have to be truthful. And what we're looking at this
- 47:19is from the biblical lens of how things should be. And,
- 47:23and I agree with Michelle's analysis of the 20-point plan. In fact,
- 47:27we've communicated our concerns to the White House.
- 47:31Any effort that would take a an official
- 47:35position that would divide the land puts America in a very
- 47:39dangerous place. It's judgment against God. If you've read
- 47:43Bill Koenig's book Eye to Eye, he documents the
- 47:47consequences of dividing the land, and they're ferocious.
- 47:51So we don't want to see the United States put in that position of judgment.
- 47:56In fact, the scripture says— you referred to Joel God
- 48:00says in the end when he returns that he will draw the nations into the
- 48:04Valley of Jehoshaphat and judge them for dividing
- 48:08up my land and selling my
- 48:12people as though they were chattel, using the Jew
- 48:15for whatever and dividing up. He says not the Jewish land.
- 48:19He says it's my land. And of course, that's what he said to
- 48:22Abraham. It's my land. I'm prom— I'm making you a promise, but it's
- 48:25it's my land. But what she said is exactly
- 48:29spot-on, and it should cause all of us as Americans to tremble
- 48:33in the sense for our nation. Remember, we were talking about Jefferson just the other
- 48:37day. Yeah, that he— Jefferson said, I tremble when I think that
- 48:40God's wrath— that's written on the Jefferson Monument.
- 48:43Yes, we see. I tremble for the nation when I think that we would expose
- 48:48ourselves to the wrath of God when we violate his word, that God's
- 48:51judgment judgment or wrath will not always sleep. Um,
- 48:56what becomes of the United States if, um,
- 49:00if we participate in leading Israel
- 49:04down the wrong path is, is remarkable to me
- 49:07for just many reasons but this one: to whom much is given,
- 49:11much is required. This nation has been given more than any other
- 49:15nation in all of human history, and if we turn Israel.
- 49:19I believe in short order— I don't mean 100 years,
- 49:23I don't think 50 years— I think in short order you
- 49:27will see the hand of God's judgment fall upon this Christ-rejecting
- 49:31nation. And I think the only thing that spares this nation
- 49:35from imminent judgment is the presence of the believers.
- 49:38Yeah, that is what
- 49:44I want to go to next, because I want to lay out just a little
- 49:47context here. And I'll just put this out here as informational points, and the
- 49:51Holy Spirit can lead you to process it. Um, as you— I wouldn't
- 49:55give it to AI, but I would give it to the Holy Spirit. Um,
- 49:59so in, in— I've, as I've talked
- 50:02about, I've been around here for a while in Washington,
- 50:05D.C., and I was a part of the conversations back in 2000 2004
- 50:09when the Bush administration and
- 50:13Prime Minister Sharon was convinced, you know,
- 50:17they had made the decision to disengage from Gaza.
- 50:21And they were— they got the evangelicals together in Washington
- 50:25to convince us that that was a good idea. And I was relatively new,
- 50:29so I didn't say a whole lot, but I did raise my hand and say,
- 50:31you know, I think that's kind of contrary to what the Bible says is going
- 50:35to Oh no, no, this is going to be peace. This is going to be
- 50:38peace because we're gonna, we're gonna give them Gaza
- 50:42as a place, and so it's gonna bring about peace. So there was a disengagement.
- 50:45They actually literally, they, they dug up the graves of the Jewish people
- 50:49that were there. They bulldozed the homes and they, they took them out. That,
- 50:53that happened on August 23rd. It was,
- 50:56it was a 2-day where they got all the people out.
- 51:00That was August 23rd of 2005.
- 51:04August 25th, 2005, Hurricane Katrina
- 51:08hit America. The— to this day, the most expensive
- 51:11natural disaster in history.
- 51:16Michelle was in the White House. I was there in January,
- 51:20January 28th of 2020, when President Trump revealed
- 51:24his peace plan that envisioned division of the land.
- 51:28This was Jared Kushner's plan for the peace process, and it
- 51:32was a list of everything that the Arab countries had to do, but if they
- 51:36did, then they would get Judea-Samaria,
- 51:40and it envisioned division of the land. And I remember my heart sunk
- 51:44to my toes as I sat in the third row. Alan Dershowitz is in front
- 51:48of me, and Mike Pompeo was in front of him, and President Trump was up
- 51:51there with a big, map of what it would look like, the division
- 51:55of the land. And I thought, are you flipping kidding me? I couldn't believe it.
- 51:59And it was less than 24 hours later that
- 52:04the COVID task force was set up with Fauci
- 52:08at the head, and President Trump lost control of his
- 52:11presidency and then lost the election. Benjamin Netanyahu
- 52:15was up there. He was in agreement with the plan. He lost his prime
- 52:19ministership that week. Wow. Because the police
- 52:22brought charges against him, he lost
- 52:26his prime ministership. They had 5 elections.
- 52:31They went 4 elections with no, no government. No government.
- 52:35It never happened before in Israeli history. It was devastating
- 52:38to Israel. And on the 5th, he came back in as prime
- 52:43minister. So the United States suffered trillions of dollars of
- 52:46loss from COVID easily $5 trillion if not $6
- 52:51trillion in loss. And you know what we all went through with that. And look
- 52:55at Israel, the price Israel paid in their own society.
- 52:59And so isn't it unique? I mean, just step back for a second.
- 53:03This happened— this level of Joel 3 judgment
- 53:08happened in not only in our lifetime, like 5 years
- 53:11ago this judgment happened, and then God allowed supernaturally—
- 53:15how often would you see a coincidence like this? Let me give you one
- 53:19more data point before you come to a conclusion. You were doing great. I was
- 53:24on a roll. You were really— I can't finish it, it's his fault.
- 53:27But I'm going to give her a little more fodder. It was 20 days ago
- 53:31that the 20-point plan was unveiled.
- 53:342 days later, what happened? Government shutdown.
- 53:38Government shutdown.
