- 1:20Speaker 3: forward to diving into that just a little bit. We're
- 1:21Speaker 3: going to talk to Josh coming up here in just
- 1:23Speaker 3: a few moments, and then at the bottom of the hour,
- 1:25Speaker 3: Delicate Mike Pushkin is going to be with us, and
- 1:27Speaker 3: I'm going to hold Mike here for the remainder of
- 1:30Speaker 3: the show, taking your calls and texts. He has a
- 1:33Speaker 3: lot that he's going to get into from the DNC
- 1:37Speaker 3: last week to the stories of ranking about the governor
- 1:40Speaker 3: in the state, what the Democratic Party is doing in
- 1:42Speaker 3: West Virginia. So if you have questions, comments, like I
- 1:45Speaker 3: know many people do, for Mike to get those ready
- 1:47Speaker 3: for the phone line or for the text line, I'll
- 1:50Speaker 3: get that information out to you a little bit later on,
- 1:52Speaker 3: so you want to be ready for that. So that's
- 1:54Speaker 3: what our show is going to be today. I appreciate
- 1:56Speaker 3: you tuning in from the Parmar Store studio and checking
- 2:00Speaker 3: out five eighty Love Dale Cooper, and let's go ahead
- 2:02Speaker 3: and bring Josh Beam onto the airwaves now so we
- 2:05Speaker 3: can talk a little bit about Jude.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Josh, good morning. How you doing this morning? Doing great?
- 2:08Speaker 3: I'm doing well. I appreciate you coming in and I'm
- 2:10Speaker 3: really looking forward to having this discussion.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Now.
- 2:14Speaker 3: The listeners of the program are familiar with you. You've
- 2:16Speaker 3: been on with David just a couple of times. But
- 2:18Speaker 3: give us a little bit of a reset, just so
- 2:20Speaker 3: I get to know you a little better about yourself.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Are you from the area, from the Charleston area. Give
- 2:24Speaker 3: me a little background information.
- 2:25Speaker 5: Yeah, so born and raised and Hurricane, went to school there,
- 2:29Speaker 5: graduated twenty eighteen and stayed since.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Absolutely. That's outstanding for running security.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Now. Jude is a security company. It's based in Hurricane.
- 2:37Speaker 3: So you stayed right at your home. That's I love
- 2:39Speaker 3: when people do that, man, they stay right in the
- 2:41Speaker 3: home here in West Virginia. Open up their business. You
- 2:43Speaker 3: specialize in smart home and business security solutions. You offer
- 2:46Speaker 3: systems that provide video monitoring, access control, energy management, and
- 2:49Speaker 3: wellness features. Jude Services operate on a dedicated cellular connection,
- 2:53Speaker 3: insuring security and even during power or internet alleges They
- 2:57Speaker 3: partner with trusted brands to enhance home out of and
- 3:00Speaker 3: data protection solutions are designed to give users total control
- 3:02Speaker 3: peace of mind through proactive safeguards and real time notifications.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Reading this this is this is really cool sounding to
- 3:09Speaker 3: me because you guys not only do like residential helping
- 3:11Speaker 3: folks out, but you do like business locations and things
- 3:14Speaker 3: like that as well. That's a really cool concept. That
- 3:17Speaker 3: was kind of a lot of jargon. Have you give
- 3:19Speaker 3: me kind of your perspective on your business, like what's
- 3:22Speaker 3: your emission statement?
- 3:23Speaker 5: So, I mean, you know, just just building it here. Recently,
- 3:27Speaker 5: I think that our main mission and main focus is
- 3:31Speaker 5: just helping people at home, helping businesses, different people that
- 3:35Speaker 5: use our services. So something that kind of sets us
- 3:37Speaker 5: apart from other businesses and other security companies is who
- 3:40Speaker 5: really do care? You know, I come into a home
- 3:42Speaker 5: and I really want to figure out what works best
- 3:45Speaker 5: for you. I absolutely listened to the user, I listened
- 3:48Speaker 5: to the business owner whoever we're dealing with, and just
- 3:52Speaker 5: really really listen on what works for you, what works best,
- 3:55Speaker 5: and then kind of get a feel for it and
- 3:57Speaker 5: make some suggestions on things. But you know, we don't
- 3:59Speaker 5: push anything on you. We're not trying to make a
- 4:01Speaker 5: bunch of money off of you. We just want to
- 4:03Speaker 5: help you out.
- 4:03Speaker 3: And you really lean into where you can using technology
- 4:07Speaker 3: to make things streamlined, more access and to to give
- 4:11Speaker 3: users real control over what it is that you're doing.
- 4:13Speaker 3: That's something that I'm sure that it's an extra level
- 4:18Speaker 3: of security but also personalization so you can really deliver
- 4:21Speaker 3: what somebody is looking for. Yeah, what type of So
- 4:24Speaker 3: as far as I want to ask this question first
- 4:26Speaker 3: and we'll and then I'll get more into the other
- 4:28Speaker 3: things as far as like kind of a baseline setup,
- 4:30Speaker 3: if someone's interested in using your services, what should they
- 4:34Speaker 3: be expected to be able to need? I mean, as
- 4:36Speaker 3: far as operate goes, should they be Do they have
- 4:38Speaker 3: to be super familiar with technology with computers and stuff?
- 4:42Speaker 3: Is there a fairly shallow learning curve as far as
- 4:45Speaker 3: getting used to that to that technology?
- 4:47Speaker 4: Right? Shall Yeah?
- 4:47Speaker 5: So I use my parents a lot as an example.
- 4:50Speaker 5: You know, they are not teching people by any means,
- 4:54Speaker 5: and you know, we set them up with a security
- 4:55Speaker 5: system and they almost immediately picked it up. So we
- 4:58Speaker 5: partner with Alarm dot com, the largest national provider and
- 5:01Speaker 5: security services. We use their app and it is just
- 5:04Speaker 5: very very user friendly. So like you said, you can
- 5:07Speaker 5: customize it to kind of what you want to have
- 5:09Speaker 5: set up how your homepage wants to look, but you know,
- 5:12Speaker 5: we can't. There's a lot of different things on there
- 5:15Speaker 5: that helps you learn about the app, So they have
- 5:16Speaker 5: videos that walk you through the app and things like that.
- 5:19Speaker 5: I also have a customer that we installed for last
- 5:21Speaker 5: week that I'll be meeting with this week and kind
- 5:24Speaker 5: of going over things with them personally, so coming back
- 5:26Speaker 5: out to the home and just showing them anything that
- 5:28Speaker 5: they hadn't picked up yet. So, you know, I usually
- 5:31Speaker 5: tell people get the app, mess with it for a
- 5:33Speaker 5: couple of weeks, make sure you know how to set
- 5:34Speaker 5: your panel and everything, but kind of just look around
- 5:37Speaker 5: on the app. You learn better that way, and then
- 5:39Speaker 5: whatever you haven't picked up, I'm happy to come back
- 5:42Speaker 5: out and look.
- 5:42Speaker 4: At it with you.
- 5:43Speaker 3: What do you think is the benefits and services that
- 5:45Speaker 3: you provide that sets you kind of apart from the
- 5:47Speaker 3: other folks that are in the space.
- 5:49Speaker 5: So, I mean, one of the biggest things is just
- 5:51Speaker 5: partnering with Alarm dot Com. They're absolutely always changing, always growing,
- 5:56Speaker 5: always adapting to the needs of the people that we're servicing.
- 6:00Speaker 5: So you know, you talked about wellness, you talked about
- 6:02Speaker 5: energy management, things like that that we also offer that
- 6:05Speaker 5: I think a lot of other companies don't. That is
- 6:08Speaker 5: something that is always growing and always helping the people
- 6:11Speaker 5: that we're servicing. And like I'd said too, just kind
- 6:13Speaker 5: of touching on we're just different because we really do care.
- 6:17Speaker 5: We're a small family owned business out of the valley
- 6:20Speaker 5: here and service all through West Virginia and all through
- 6:22Speaker 5: the east coast here. Just absolutely want to help you
- 6:25Speaker 5: as much as we can.
- 6:26Speaker 4: I love that, and I love that outlook.
- 6:29Speaker 3: One of the things I think is really interesting about
- 6:31Speaker 3: the services that you provide is that the type of
- 6:34Speaker 3: network that you use will work independently from like a
- 6:37Speaker 3: home WiFi or from even power from power outages.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Explain a little bit how that works.
- 6:42Speaker 5: So all of our systems run off of what's called
- 6:45Speaker 5: dual path. So you have a Wi Fi extension and
- 6:49Speaker 5: you have also a cellular extension. So basically every panel
- 6:54Speaker 5: has its own cell phone service, so they mainly go
- 6:57Speaker 5: off of that and then they go off of the Wi
- 6:59Speaker 5: Fi whichever is better in your area. And so if
- 7:02Speaker 5: one goes down the other one's still working. And then
- 7:04Speaker 5: as far as power outages, each of our panels and
- 7:07Speaker 5: all of our sensors have all of our sensors are
- 7:10Speaker 5: battery operated by themselves, So our security panels have a
- 7:13Speaker 5: battery backup in them as well that last up to
- 7:15Speaker 5: twenty four hours. So if power goes out, Wi Fi
- 7:18Speaker 5: goes down, whatever, then it's still secure.
- 7:20Speaker 4: It's still going well.
- 7:21Speaker 3: When we talk about security, obviously, people when they think
- 7:24Speaker 3: about home security, ayway, they think about cameras and different
- 7:27Speaker 3: things like that, What levels, what all types of different security.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Let's start with a residential and then we'll work our
- 7:32Speaker 3: way up to business a little bit. What types of
- 7:33Speaker 3: security do you offer? Is there like door alarms, window alarms,
- 7:36Speaker 3: different things along those lines, motion detectors, like how far
- 7:39Speaker 3: do you go in that?
- 7:40Speaker 4: Yeah? So I mean any of that and all of it. Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 5: So anything that you can think of home security that
- 7:45Speaker 5: you've heard of, we have it. And anything that you
- 7:48Speaker 5: haven't heard of, we probably are have it or close
- 7:51Speaker 5: to having it. So a lot of different home automation,
- 7:53Speaker 5: a lot of different smart home features. We compare with
- 7:55Speaker 5: all of that as well.
- 7:57Speaker 3: That's amazing because I know, you know in this day
- 7:59Speaker 3: and age. I have a small home security system, you know,
- 8:02Speaker 3: just with cameras and some window monitors and things along
- 8:05Speaker 3: those lines. Relatively small, but in this in this day
- 8:08Speaker 3: that we live in, even for a residential person, if
- 8:11Speaker 3: you have just a house in a city, or if
- 8:12Speaker 3: you have a compound that's you know a little bit
- 8:14Speaker 3: more role or something like that, you really need to
- 8:16Speaker 3: protect yourself in this manner and having something where you
- 8:19Speaker 3: have access to your property where you get notified. My
- 8:21Speaker 3: mom has, you know, cameras everywhere she lives really, so
- 8:24Speaker 3: she has cameras everywhere, she has notifications set up things
- 8:26Speaker 3: like that. A lot of times it's animals, but you
- 8:28Speaker 3: want to make sure that it is animals, you know,
- 8:30Speaker 3: because you just never know. And so having that extra
- 8:32Speaker 3: layer of security and having not being dedicated to just
- 8:36Speaker 3: your Wi Fi or just yourself, having that have that
- 8:38Speaker 3: redundancy there is a really important thing. Because we've all
- 8:41Speaker 3: seen the movies. Right you cut the line and then
- 8:42Speaker 3: you can get right in, you know, you don't have
- 8:44Speaker 3: to worry about that kind of thing.
- 8:45Speaker 4: That's a good thing.
- 8:47Speaker 3: When when we talk about these levels of services, so
- 8:50Speaker 3: like with video monitoring and stuff like that, we're all
- 8:51Speaker 3: used to like the modern technology where you can look
- 8:53Speaker 3: on your phone and see your cameras. But I was
- 8:55Speaker 3: looking a little bit into what you guys offer and
- 8:57Speaker 3: it's it's a really deluxe dashboard that what you offer
- 9:00Speaker 3: as far as with a video presentation and things go yes, yeah,
- 9:04Speaker 3: what is different about it or what some of the
- 9:06Speaker 3: features that somebody would come across when they look at
- 9:10Speaker 3: something like a video panel or something like that. Can
- 9:12Speaker 3: you set alarms on that, like if you get motion
- 9:14Speaker 3: on a certain camera, or you can really dedicate it
- 9:17Speaker 3: to that level.
- 9:17Speaker 5: Yeah, So they really break it down and do a
- 9:20Speaker 5: lot of different analytics that they have watching your cameras there.
- 9:23Speaker 5: So on just a simple residential camera setup, you have
- 9:27Speaker 5: it set up to where it can show you I
- 9:30Speaker 5: think it's four different sections, so you have people, cars, animals,
- 9:37Speaker 5: or UFOs. So UFO is anything that is undecided. It
- 9:40Speaker 5: doesn't know what it's picking up. But you get notifications
- 9:43Speaker 5: for this, and say you live out in the woods,
- 9:45Speaker 5: you live kind of out there a little bit. You
- 9:47Speaker 5: can turn off the animal features so that you're not
- 9:49Speaker 5: getting notifications every time that a rabbit goes to your
- 9:52Speaker 5: yard or something like that. But yeah, it does send
- 9:54Speaker 5: you a specific notification for telling you what's in the
- 9:57Speaker 5: yard there, what's in your driveway, whatever, exactly when it's happening.
- 10:02Speaker 5: So you know, that's for a residential system. For business,
- 10:05Speaker 5: it's very interesting what alum dot com offers. So they
- 10:08Speaker 5: have a lot of different, ever changing business analytics, so
- 10:11Speaker 5: you can set up different things like people counters, you
- 10:14Speaker 5: can set up commony or in the in the place
- 10:17Speaker 5: there you can see how long they've been in there,
- 10:19Speaker 5: you can see how many times a week they're coming
- 10:21Speaker 5: in there that specific.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Person wow, wow wow.
- 10:25Speaker 5: Hot spots in the business as well, so you know,
- 10:28Speaker 5: so you're a retail story, it'll show kind of where
- 10:30Speaker 5: people are focusing heavy you're on. So it's very very
- 10:33Speaker 5: interesting just and I'm still learning about all of it.
- 10:36Speaker 5: It's it's there's so much to learn about what they
- 10:38Speaker 5: really do offer. It's it's amazing.
- 10:39Speaker 3: I've ran some small businesses in my past and have
- 10:42Speaker 3: gotten security systems for their small businesses, and man that
- 10:44Speaker 3: that nothing like that. I mean, I wasn't even approached
- 10:48Speaker 3: with anything like that. That's an incredible tool that you
- 10:51Speaker 3: could use not only for your security but also just
- 10:53Speaker 3: for managing I mean even scheduling and things like that.
- 10:56Speaker 4: It could help you.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Out with with with how you're putting together your do
- 11:00Speaker 3: it in this day and age when finding help is
- 11:02Speaker 3: hard and you need to maximize how you can schedule.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Even something like that could definitely provide help. And so
- 11:08Speaker 3: when we talk about overall security even for businesses, that
- 11:11Speaker 3: includes like access and things like that. So you can
- 11:13Speaker 3: help manage is it for with like mag cards or
- 11:16Speaker 3: something like that where you can help manage access to
- 11:18Speaker 3: different locations. So if you have, you know, a small
- 11:21Speaker 3: franchise or different locations somewhere, you can have employees that
- 11:23Speaker 3: can get access to all those locations. That's something else
- 11:25Speaker 3: that you can help monitor, right.
- 11:26Speaker 5: Yeah, So there's a lot of different ways that we
- 11:28Speaker 5: can do that as well, So just whatever works best
- 11:31Speaker 5: for you. So we have different setups to where you
- 11:33Speaker 5: can have a coded entry just a four digit code.
- 11:38Speaker 5: You can have a maglock where you have a key
- 11:41Speaker 5: card for it. You can also set up to where
- 11:43Speaker 5: if you have the app on your phone, then you
- 11:45Speaker 5: just have to be walking up to the door and
- 11:46Speaker 5: the door unlocked to you. So if you have your
- 11:48Speaker 5: Bluetooth on, it'll it'll pick.
- 11:49Speaker 4: It up there so it's very interesting.
- 11:51Speaker 5: The nice thing about it as well, is you know,
- 11:54Speaker 5: you can set up different time limits on when you
- 11:56Speaker 5: want the certain person there. So if certain people on
- 11:58Speaker 5: your staff, you don't want them to be in twenty
- 12:00Speaker 5: four hours a day or give them that full access,
- 12:02Speaker 5: you can set it to where they're only allowed to
- 12:04Speaker 5: use their code of business hours things like that. You
- 12:06Speaker 5: can take their code off at any time, you can
- 12:08Speaker 5: restrict it to certain days in the week, you know,
- 12:10Speaker 5: whatever works best for you.
- 12:12Speaker 3: I know this is a small business owner. Anybody out
- 12:14Speaker 3: there that's been in these shoes, I know that you have.
- 12:17Speaker 3: You've hired somebody's worked with you for a while, you
- 12:18Speaker 3: give them access to the store with a key, and
- 12:20Speaker 3: then something go sideways and you no longer trust the person.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Something happens, you need to get your key back. You
- 12:24Speaker 3: can't get the key back, you know. One thing you
- 12:26Speaker 3: can do is change all your locks, you know, which
- 12:28Speaker 3: as a business owner, that's kind of a pain in
- 12:30Speaker 3: the rear. If you have a solution like this, you
- 12:32Speaker 3: can simply just disable the key or change the code
- 12:34Speaker 3: or whatever it might be. It makes a lot easier
- 12:36Speaker 3: when you're managing and stuff like that. And if you're
- 12:38Speaker 3: a retail outlet that has like inventory that's on site
- 12:40Speaker 3: and things like that, or data from clients or something.
- 12:43Speaker 3: You want to be able to protect that as much
- 12:44Speaker 3: as possible. That's another great way to be able to
- 12:46Speaker 3: do that. And that's good stuff.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Man. We're learning a lot this morning about jut security.
- 12:49Speaker 4: It's in Hurriykan.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Let me give you the contact information. We'll take a break,

- 16:58Speaker 3: Josh Beems with me today from Smart Security in Hurricane
- 17:02Speaker 3: and we are talking about all the different services, levels
- 17:04Speaker 3: of services they provide. Josh is gonna be with me
- 17:07Speaker 3: here for another couple of minutes before we cutting loose
- 17:09Speaker 3: at the bottom of hour, learning about all kinds of
- 17:11Speaker 3: things here. One of the things I read about on
- 17:13Speaker 3: your website and I'm a little interested for you to
- 17:15Speaker 3: explain this willness monitoring.
- 17:17Speaker 5: What what does that entail, so you know, just as
- 17:21Speaker 5: a simple way to remember this or or think about
- 17:24Speaker 5: it as everybody's sort of life alert. So it's very
- 17:27Speaker 5: similar to that in a way. You know, you can
- 17:30Speaker 5: have a pendant that you can press a button and
- 17:33Speaker 5: some help for. But one of the interesting things that
- 17:35Speaker 5: alarm dot Com has done with this as well is
- 17:38Speaker 5: you can set it up to have fall protection so
- 17:41Speaker 5: it can track and see when somebody has fallen down,
- 17:44Speaker 5: so without them even being able to or having to
- 17:47Speaker 5: press the button there, then it can detect that somebody
- 17:49Speaker 5: has fallen. So a nice thing about this versus life
- 17:53Speaker 5: alayt or some of those other things is you, as
- 17:56Speaker 5: you know, maybe a caretaker of your elderly parent or
- 17:59Speaker 5: somebody else that would need this, can get alert to
- 18:01Speaker 5: yourself as well, so you know, life Alert is just
- 18:04Speaker 5: sending it out to the authorities and then they call you.
- 18:06Speaker 4: This can come.
- 18:07Speaker 5: Straight to you as well as it's happening, so you
- 18:10Speaker 5: can get over there if you're a little bit closer
- 18:11Speaker 5: than maybe an ambulance to be able to get there
- 18:13Speaker 5: or whatever.
- 18:13Speaker 4: So it's very very just you I can see that, yeah,
- 18:16Speaker 4: I can see how that.
- 18:16Speaker 3: I mean, if you you know, maybe if you have
- 18:18Speaker 3: a parent that that you that doesn't need to live
- 18:22Speaker 3: and assisted living, however you are concerned about you know,
- 18:24Speaker 3: you could have something set up in their home for
- 18:26Speaker 3: security anyway, and it could detect something like that where
- 18:28Speaker 3: they don't have to get to the to the pen
- 18:31Speaker 3: or whatever it is to to to hit the alert
- 18:33Speaker 3: that they would be able to be detected.
- 18:34Speaker 4: That's another level.
- 18:35Speaker 3: I mean, that's pretty nice, that isn't That is a
- 18:37Speaker 3: nice level of peace in mind? The uh, the other
- 18:42Speaker 3: thing I wanted to uh to touch on and if
- 18:44Speaker 3: I I'm a little bit I'm a little bit weak
- 18:47Speaker 3: on this because I was trying to do some research
- 18:48Speaker 3: and I remember from a previous show, But you guys
- 18:50Speaker 3: can do security for events too, right, So it's not
- 18:53Speaker 3: just like permanent resident residential area or a permanent business area.
- 18:57Speaker 3: If if there's an event that needs security, you can
- 18:59Speaker 3: help with that as well.
- 19:00Speaker 4: Uh, Am I wrong on that. I'm sorry if I'm
- 19:02Speaker 4: wrong with that. I haven't heard specifically about that, Okay,
- 19:05Speaker 4: I'm sorry. Okay.
- 19:05Speaker 3: I didn't know if like there was like a like
- 19:07Speaker 3: a like a concert venue or something like that. I
- 19:08Speaker 3: didn't know if that was something you guys did or not,
- 19:10Speaker 3: And so I might be a little bit behind the
- 19:12Speaker 3: times as far as that goes people in this day
- 19:15Speaker 3: and age when we start talking about being online a lot,
- 19:17Speaker 3: you know, so we're talking about having apps on your
- 19:19Speaker 3: phone and uh Wi Fi sales service things. That means
- 19:22Speaker 3: there's tons of data that's being shared, that's being stored
- 19:24Speaker 3: in things along those lines. You guys have top of
- 19:26Speaker 3: the line security as far as protecting customer data as well.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Yes, absolutely so just a simple answer on that as
- 19:31Speaker 5: it stays with us. So we have a monitoring service
- 19:34Speaker 5: that your information goes into and that is that is
- 19:38Speaker 5: just protected within our people there and nothing is sold,
- 19:43Speaker 5: nothing is shared outside of that.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Excellent, So you can you can rest assured that is
- 19:47Speaker 3: uh that's gonna be what we'll save. And Josh, before
- 19:49Speaker 3: we cut you loose here, I thought, maybe I'll give
- 19:51Speaker 3: you an opportunity. Can you think of a of a
- 19:52Speaker 3: particular situation, like maybe I don't know, if you have
- 19:56Speaker 3: like a favorite job that you've installed, or like a
- 19:58Speaker 3: neat solution you've come up with, or maybe a client
- 20:01Speaker 3: is college and said, hey, this really worked out for me.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Do you have like a situation or something you'd like
- 20:04Speaker 3: to share with folks, just to like kind of share
- 20:07Speaker 3: like what you think is like a perfect type of deployment.
- 20:10Speaker 5: One of the most interesting jobs we've done here in
- 20:13Speaker 5: the recent past is we help Sleepy holl Of golf
- 20:16Speaker 5: course and Hurricane redo their whole security system, whole new
- 20:19Speaker 5: video system and everything. So it's just a very extensive job.
- 20:22Speaker 5: It was just fun to learn about some of the
- 20:24Speaker 5: different things. Like I said, I'm always learning about new
- 20:26Speaker 5: business analytics that we can offer, and they're a place
- 20:29Speaker 5: that really really benefited from that. So you know, in
- 20:32Speaker 5: their pro shop down in the golf course there, knowing
- 20:35Speaker 5: what kind of areas people are going to the most,
- 20:37Speaker 5: what kind of areas are the hotspots in that location. There,
- 20:40Speaker 5: same thing in your bar area, your restaurant and everything.
- 20:45Speaker 5: Just knowing what hot spots in the day are and
- 20:47Speaker 5: kind of for different scheduling purposes. So it was just
- 20:51Speaker 5: interesting to get to learn about that one. It was
- 20:53Speaker 5: a very, like I said, extensive, fun job to be
- 20:55Speaker 5: a part of.
- 20:56Speaker 3: So if folks have questions about either their business or
- 20:58Speaker 3: their residents, if they want to look at security solutions
- 21:01Speaker 3: or anything like that, what's the first steps that they
- 21:02Speaker 3: should take to take a look at Jute.
- 21:04Speaker 5: Just reach out like the contact you gave out before,
- 21:06Speaker 5: protected by Jute dot com. Kind of read more about
- 21:09Speaker 5: what we offer, and then there's different ways that you
- 21:11Speaker 5: can just request a consultation through that. You'd also call
- 21:14Speaker 5: us at six eight one four hundred. No, sorry, six
- 21:18Speaker 5: eight one two three three four thousand is the number there,
- 21:21Speaker 5: So just reach out to that.
- 21:22Speaker 4: That's great information. The website's great.
- 21:24Speaker 3: I'd spent a lot of time on it last night
- 21:25Speaker 3: and this morning taking a look at the different services
- 21:27Speaker 3: and things that are provided. So again that's protected by June.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Jute is joot, So I better make sure that, folks,
- 21:32Speaker 3: because people, you know, with the gift jiff thing and
- 21:34Speaker 3: everything else, people may not know exactly how that's spelled.
- 21:37Speaker 4: So Jude is spelled joot. So it's protected by Jute
- 21:40Speaker 4: dot com.

- 26:21Speaker 3: you want. If you have questions or comments from Micha,
- 26:23Speaker 3: are welcome to get in. There's a lot of stuff
- 26:25Speaker 3: to talk about. There's a lot of things in the
- 26:27Speaker 3: news in West Virginia. But with your position with the
- 26:29Speaker 3: Democratic Party, I think it's fair that we talk about
- 26:31Speaker 3: the convention. It just wrapped up last week. We carried
- 26:33Speaker 3: it here on WHS. This is a pretty uh a
- 26:36Speaker 3: pretty lively convention.
- 26:38Speaker 12: It was a yeah, it was definitely a lively convention.
- 26:41Speaker 12: It was so well put together, you know, well produced.
- 26:44Speaker 12: The speakers were great, We had great music and entertainment.
- 26:47Speaker 12: We had a great delegation from West Virginia and uh
- 26:50Speaker 12: just had a great time there in Chicago. And you know,
- 26:54Speaker 12: it couldn't have been better.
- 26:56Speaker 3: What's the what's the mood? Like, I know, there's a
- 26:58Speaker 3: lot of uh. I guess there's been a lot of
- 27:02Speaker 3: people trying to assign the motivations as far as calling
- 27:06Speaker 3: it a coup against Biden, that he was pushed out
- 27:09Speaker 3: and Democrats were warring internally. I'm a registered independent, so
- 27:14Speaker 3: I'm not I don't see a lot of the internal
- 27:17Speaker 3: warring right now.
- 27:18Speaker 4: It seems like that that's actually been put to bed
- 27:19Speaker 4: a lot now.
- 27:20Speaker 12: And yeah, it was surprising, but you know, to see
- 27:22Speaker 12: how quickly the party united behind Vice President Harris and
- 27:27Speaker 12: we moved very swiftly and decisively, and we got behind
- 27:32Speaker 12: our vice president, which is the only logical choice. If
- 27:35Speaker 12: the president what she did, he graciously decided to step
- 27:40Speaker 12: aside and let you know, pass the torch to a
- 27:43Speaker 12: younger generation. So the obvious choice is the vice president.
- 27:47Speaker 12: That is the role of the vice president to step
- 27:50Speaker 12: in in times like that. And obviously she's been vetted,
- 27:53Speaker 12: she's competent, she's ready, and I think she's showing the
- 27:55Speaker 12: world just how ready she is. She has you know,
- 27:59Speaker 12: broad the polling shows that are fundraising numbers, definitely, so
- 28:03Speaker 12: that she's raised over a half a billion dollars in
- 28:05Speaker 12: a short period of time since she's been at the
- 28:07Speaker 12: top of the ticket. And and you know, her campaign
- 28:11Speaker 12: put on one of the best convention. It's probably the
- 28:13Speaker 12: best convention I've ever seen. Definitely the best one I've
- 28:17Speaker 12: ever been to. I've only been to a few, but
- 28:19Speaker 12: I think it's people who watched it at home told
- 28:21Speaker 12: me it's the best one they've ever seen as well
- 28:23Speaker 12: to me.
- 28:24Speaker 3: And again, I watched both conventions all the way through,
- 28:26Speaker 3: a Republican and the Democratic convention. And I've done that
- 28:29Speaker 3: pretty much every year to some level or another. And
- 28:33Speaker 3: in twenty sixteen, when former President Trump was run against
- 28:38Speaker 3: Hillary Clinton, it seemed like the Democrats were trying to
- 28:41Speaker 3: lean a little bit into the Obama you know, hope
- 28:46Speaker 3: and vision of American things along those lines that because
- 28:50Speaker 3: of I think Clinton's unfortunate unpopularity generally, I don't know
- 28:55Speaker 3: that that was really catching the way it was supposed to.
- 28:57Speaker 3: It seems like that that skipping over like sort of
- 29:01Speaker 3: using some of what Biden used as his coalition building,
- 29:04Speaker 3: but also going back to the Obama era coalition building
- 29:07Speaker 3: and talking a lot more broadly. It feels like that
- 29:10Speaker 3: they've been able to embrace that a lot better than
- 29:12Speaker 3: what they did even in twenty sixteen.
- 29:14Speaker 12: Yeah. Well, I think the part that was really telling
- 29:16Speaker 12: you the amount of Republican speakers we had at the
- 29:18Speaker 12: Democratic Convention, people who are being true patriots and putting
- 29:22Speaker 12: country ahead of party and telling exactly what they know
- 29:26Speaker 12: about former President Trump and how a second Trump presidency
- 29:30Speaker 12: that how dangerous that would be for this country and
- 29:32Speaker 12: for our Democratic Republic.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Yeah, very true.
- 29:35Speaker 3: By the way, again, if you have any questions from
- 29:37Speaker 3: y threes are A four three, four, five, fifty eight
- 29:38Speaker 3: fifty eight, you can text threes are four nine, three, five,
- 29:40Speaker 3: five zeros or eight. So I saw mostly the prom
- 29:43Speaker 3: time stuff. I didn't see the convention goes on all day,
- 29:45Speaker 3: there speakers. I saw highlights both for the Republican and
- 29:47Speaker 3: the Democratic Convention, their speakers going on all throughout the
- 29:50Speaker 3: day that have different levels of engagement and headliner status.
- 29:56Speaker 3: But you saw a lot more than what a lot
- 29:58Speaker 3: of people did. What do you think feel for your
- 30:00Speaker 3: party's platform? What was by the main speakers and the
- 30:03Speaker 3: smaller speakers that were there. What do you take away
- 30:06Speaker 3: that where the Democratic Party can help the state of
- 30:08Speaker 3: West Virginia.
- 30:11Speaker 12: Well, I mean the whole thing was the way it
- 30:15Speaker 12: was put together. I mean it was about, you know,
- 30:17Speaker 12: just there was such a positive energy and how it
- 30:19Speaker 12: will help the state of West Virginia. It already has
- 30:22Speaker 12: helped the state of West Virginia. And all these announcements,
- 30:25Speaker 12: whether it's about new core form energy, green motors here
- 30:29Speaker 12: in Kannall County, and that was all done in large
- 30:32Speaker 12: part through legislation that was led by President Biden and
- 30:36Speaker 12: Vice President Harris when they had the cooperation from Congress
- 30:40Speaker 12: during the first two years that has benefited West Virginia.
- 30:43Speaker 12: We would not hear all these great economic development announcements
- 30:46Speaker 12: had it not been for those two years. So yeah,
- 30:50Speaker 12: we need more of that moving with all this investment
- 30:53Speaker 12: into the state. You know, with the American Rescue Plan,
- 30:56Speaker 12: the investment went straight to local local governments and municipalities.
- 31:01Speaker 12: That was unprecedented. You know, before that, when we had
- 31:04Speaker 12: the Cares Act, the first round of COVID relief money
- 31:08Speaker 12: from the Trump administration, and you know, we were all
- 31:10Speaker 12: grateful for that. We needed that relief money, but it
- 31:13Speaker 12: went directly to the state and the governor had control
- 31:15Speaker 12: over it. It didn't go out for a year and
- 31:17Speaker 12: a half. No money was spent, and when it did,
- 31:19Speaker 12: it came out in the form of the baby Dog
- 31:21Speaker 12: sweepstakes to try to encourage people to get vaccinated. That
- 31:25Speaker 12: didn't work, and it was a waste of taxpayers money.
- 31:28Speaker 12: And that's why we had the Biden administration, had the
- 31:31Speaker 12: Force with the help of Senator Mansion, had the foresight
- 31:33Speaker 12: to send the money directly to where the rubber meets
- 31:35Speaker 12: the road, directly to the counties and the municipalities. And
- 31:39Speaker 12: we've seen the results of that. That's what helped us
- 31:41Speaker 12: get through the pandemic. So the Democratic Party has already
- 31:46Speaker 12: been working for West Virginia.
- 31:47Speaker 3: And then look at Mike pushed is with us this morning.
- 31:49Speaker 3: We have a caller this called in this morning, has
- 31:51Speaker 3: a question or call met Brent Is on the Law
- 31:53Speaker 3: Enforce this morning.
- 31:54Speaker 4: Brent, good morning, how you doing this morning?
- 31:56Speaker 13: Doing it yourself?
- 31:57Speaker 4: Doing very well? Thanks for calling and I appreciate it great.
- 32:00Speaker 13: Ay, Mike, I don't know whether this is true or
- 32:03Speaker 13: false or just scuttle butter whatever. But I was told
- 32:06Speaker 13: that part of Vice President's platform for the upcoming years
- 32:15Speaker 13: talking about the green information, is that she wants to
- 32:19Speaker 13: reduce subsidies to farmers to try to reduce beef and
- 32:27Speaker 13: reduce the methane gas emission from the cows.
- 32:31Speaker 12: I've not heard anything about that, about reducing beef. That
- 32:35Speaker 12: is not something that came up at all during any
- 32:38Speaker 12: of the Earth you know, any of the platform meetings
- 32:40Speaker 12: during the convention. I you know, I'll go back and
- 32:44Speaker 12: read it, but I've not seen anything in our platform.
- 32:47Speaker 12: Definitely not in our state platform, but nothing in the
- 32:49Speaker 12: national platform as far as reducing beef production.
- 32:54Speaker 13: Well, that's good and methane from cows. Did you know
- 32:57Speaker 13: that there are calve food people out there that are
- 33:01Speaker 13: making food that reduce emissions.
- 33:09Speaker 12: I'm sorry I lost you there. Oh yeah, wall yeah,
- 33:12Speaker 12: we can hear you now back.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Now, yeah, yeah.
- 33:15Speaker 13: Did you know that there are companies out there making
- 33:17Speaker 13: food for cows that reduce those emissions.
- 33:20Speaker 12: I didn't know that, but that's good to know. And
- 33:22Speaker 12: you know, I, you know, personally, you know, enjoy a
- 33:26Speaker 12: steak or a cheeseburger from time to time, so I
- 33:29Speaker 12: wouldn't want to see any sort of reduction in that,
- 33:31Speaker 12: so I don't I don't believe that that is the
- 33:34Speaker 12: case that they're going to be cutting back on beef
- 33:36Speaker 12: production here in this country.
- 33:38Speaker 13: Okay, thank you very much.
- 33:40Speaker 3: I appreciate the phone call that leaves the phone line
- 33:41Speaker 3: open for you. Three are four three four five fifty
- 33:43Speaker 3: eight fifty eight. Three Zerre four three four five fifty
- 33:45Speaker 3: eight fifty eight. I've looked at that. I've heard this
- 33:47Speaker 3: before about.
- 33:48Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 33:48Speaker 3: It seems like it's not the serious politicians. It seems
- 33:51Speaker 3: to be like the very online politicians, the ones that
- 33:54Speaker 3: are constantly on X posting that that you see this
- 33:56Speaker 3: thing about coming for your red meter.
- 33:58Speaker 4: I can't find any to that.
- 34:00Speaker 3: I think that it has to do with maybe the
- 34:03Speaker 3: recommendations for the nutritional guidelines or something, but I can't find.
- 34:08Speaker 3: If it's out there, send me a leak.
- 34:09Speaker 12: The Democrats aren't coming to take away your steaks, your cheeseburgers.
- 34:13Speaker 12: We're not coming to take away anything. We're coming to
- 34:16Speaker 12: restore freedom and rights that have been taken away through
- 34:20Speaker 12: this Supreme Court that was appointed largely by Donald Trump.
- 34:26Speaker 12: We want to restore rights. We want to restore freedoms.
- 34:29Speaker 12: We're not taking anything from anybody.
- 34:31Speaker 3: Yeah, the beef thing is a little strange. It's weird
- 34:34Speaker 3: how that's become a political thing, like the the the yeah,
- 34:39Speaker 3: like yeah exactly, or like how fake beef is somehow
- 34:42Speaker 3: like a like a woke or a liberal thing or what.
- 34:43Speaker 3: There's some people number one that can't eat beef. There's
- 34:46Speaker 3: some places in the world where they can't get beef.
- 34:48Speaker 3: I mean, what's wrong with creating a protein substitute that
- 34:51Speaker 3: people can consume safely. You don't have to eat it,
- 34:54Speaker 3: just let people that want to eat it eat it.
- 34:56Speaker 3: What's wrong with it?
- 34:58Speaker 12: I'm for freedom and all around. I'm going to eat
- 35:01Speaker 12: what you want to eat as long as you don't
- 35:03Speaker 12: hurt anybody else.
- 35:03Speaker 4: Man, I'm going to eat my cow. But if somebody
- 35:05Speaker 4: else doesn't want it, I can tell.
- 35:06Speaker 12: When Democrats get together behind closed doors, it is not
- 35:10Speaker 12: what we talk pet, Are you sure?
- 35:11Speaker 9: No?
- 35:12Speaker 12: Is not We don't talk about taking away anything. In fact,
- 35:14Speaker 12: sometimes when we're meeting, sometimes we eat steaks or cheeseburgers.
- 35:19Speaker 4: It's not something.
- 35:21Speaker 3: The farm subsidy thing is actually an interesting conversation, not
- 35:23Speaker 3: one for us today, but there's an interesting conversation that
- 35:25Speaker 3: we had about our farm subsidies.
- 35:27Speaker 12: I'll come back on something.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, well we'll shoot that sometimes. Yeah, that's not
- 35:31Speaker 3: something we're going to uh, we're going to do today.
- 35:33Speaker 4: Let's see.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Ask Mike why VP Harris hasn't done a press conference
- 35:37Speaker 3: to discuss her policies that she wants to act as president.
- 35:40Speaker 12: Well, she's been traveling around having all sorts of rallies
- 35:44Speaker 12: and going into a lot of the swing states that
- 35:46Speaker 12: are going to termine the outcome of this election. I'm
- 35:49Speaker 12: sure she will be having a more press conferences soon.
- 35:53Speaker 12: I did see where former President Trump is now trying
- 35:56Speaker 12: to back out of the debates. That's interesting. I think
- 36:01Speaker 12: he is. He seems to be afraid to go up
- 36:03Speaker 12: against a prosecutor, and I think the nation really would
- 36:06Speaker 12: like to see that match up, the felon versus the prosecutor.
- 36:09Speaker 12: I think it would be interesting. I think the people
- 36:11Speaker 12: deserve to see that. So why is President Trump now
- 36:14Speaker 12: afraid to debate? That's the question.
- 36:16Speaker 3: I have an additional question for that, especially in this state,
- 36:19Speaker 3: in the background that we're having with problems with our
- 36:22Speaker 3: media getting access, and so I don't want to seem
- 36:24Speaker 3: to talk out of both sides in my mouth here.
- 36:26Speaker 3: But the one thing that the national media drives me
- 36:28Speaker 3: crazy about is when they talk to presidential candidates, all
- 36:30Speaker 3: they talk about to the other candidate. So maybe the
- 36:33Speaker 3: reason that Harris doesn't want to do a press conference
- 36:35Speaker 3: because all she's going to do is to get questions
- 36:36Speaker 3: about Trump. She's not going to get questions about like
- 36:38Speaker 3: what she wants to do. It's all going to be
- 36:39Speaker 3: and then the other way around, like when he does
- 36:42Speaker 3: a press conference, all he gets good these questions about
- 36:44Speaker 3: what he wants to say about her.
- 36:45Speaker 4: Where's the policy discussion at in that?
- 36:46Speaker 12: Maybe that's why, well, generally, I mean, and when President
- 36:50Speaker 12: Trump gets up, it's more just about an airing of
- 36:52Speaker 12: the grievances. And I said, but it's like you know,
- 36:55Speaker 12: frank A stands at Festivus dinner.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Okay, two things. I want to try to clean this up.
- 37:02Speaker 3: We'll take a break and then we'll come back and
- 37:03Speaker 3: do some more. I asked for a link on Harris
- 37:06Speaker 3: saying that she was going to band red meat. I
- 37:09Speaker 3: was sent a link that was a transcript from a
- 37:14Speaker 3: thing that she did in twenty eighteen, I think, And
- 37:17Speaker 3: she says that she would be interested in changing the
- 37:19Speaker 3: nutritional guidelines recommendations.
- 37:22Speaker 12: That's a recommendation that's different than that's that's like saying
- 37:25Speaker 12: you should eat you know, the four foods.
- 37:27Speaker 4: And also those things change like every four years and
- 37:29Speaker 4: nobody pays attention to So I don't.
- 37:30Speaker 12: Think that's not going to keep anybody from getting their steak.
- 37:33Speaker 3: If there's more than let me know. But I just
- 37:35Speaker 3: haven't said. This is what I had seen too, so
- 37:36Speaker 3: I thought there was something stronger.
- 37:37Speaker 12: Well, people need to be very careful for what they
- 37:40Speaker 12: what they're reading on the internet and try to fact
- 37:43Speaker 12: check things themselves. I mean, there's a whole lot of
- 37:45Speaker 12: just fake stuff out there on the internet to try
- 37:49Speaker 12: to to get people worked up on one side or
- 37:52Speaker 12: the other. Fact of the matter is Democrats are not
- 37:54Speaker 12: going to take away anything. We want to restore things
- 37:58Speaker 12: that have been taken away, like your personal freedoms.
- 38:01Speaker 3: So one final text in and you guys are welcome
- 38:05Speaker 3: to call in. You don't have to just send threes
- 38:07Speaker 3: or four, three, fifty fifty eight. This is all caps,
- 38:12Speaker 3: and no, he is not avoiding the debate. I think
- 38:14Speaker 3: in regard to Trump, she is trying to change the
- 38:17Speaker 3: debate rules try again.
- 38:20Speaker 12: Well, we have a new candidate. She wants different. I
- 38:22Speaker 12: think what it is one thing was talking about he
- 38:25Speaker 12: had the They did the mic cut off, which I
- 38:29Speaker 12: think actually helped Trump because he cannot control himself. He
- 38:33Speaker 12: is unable to control himself like a petulant child. He
- 38:36Speaker 12: can't stop talking in between the answers, so it helped
- 38:41Speaker 12: him to have the mic cut off.
- 38:42Speaker 4: Can you win the debate or not? I mean, yeah,
- 38:45Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 38:46Speaker 12: Look, I just I'm just I just want to see
- 38:47Speaker 12: the two debate several times. It would be great, but
- 38:50Speaker 12: at least once.
- 38:51Speaker 3: This thing that we've gotten into where we only do
- 38:53Speaker 3: two or three of these things is a little bit
- 38:55Speaker 3: a little bad too. I think we need you need
- 38:57Speaker 3: more debate, not less, and there needs to be a
- 38:59Speaker 3: better You know.
- 39:00Speaker 12: Who else needs the debate? Jim Justice, he wants to
- 39:03Speaker 12: be our next senator. He refuses to debate Glenn Elliott,
- 39:07Speaker 12: you know, elsetings to debate Patrick Morrissey when he's running
- 39:09Speaker 12: for governor, refuses to debate Steve Williams. So I think
- 39:12Speaker 12: the people of West Virginia deserve to hear their candidates
- 39:15Speaker 12: debate as well.
- 39:16Speaker 3: I'll tell you what Let's let's do this first. We
- 39:18Speaker 3: have Chuck on the line. Let's take Chuck's phone call.
- 39:20Speaker 3: We'll take a break, we'll come back. We'll talk a
- 39:21Speaker 3: little bit about justice and the story surrounding that. Chuck,
- 39:24Speaker 3: go ahead, you're online.
- 39:26Speaker 14: Just a kind of non political question about the convention.
- 39:29Speaker 14: I know, all the delegates and all were seated on
- 39:31Speaker 14: the floor, thousands of you guys. Who was up in
- 39:34Speaker 14: the chief seats? Who were all the other people there?
- 39:36Speaker 14: And how they get in?
- 39:38Speaker 12: Yeah, the delegates are like all in the lower bowl.
- 39:41Speaker 12: And then there were seats for guests, whether it's friends
- 39:45Speaker 12: or family of the delegates or you know, other a
- 39:48Speaker 12: lot of you know, some of the locals from Chicago
- 39:51Speaker 12: that were there. It seemed like it's every delegation has
- 39:54Speaker 12: a certain amount of guest passes.
- 39:57Speaker 3: So and then if you could get general mission too, right,
- 40:00Speaker 3: like you can just go if you want to, right,
- 40:02Speaker 3: you can buy to take it.
- 40:02Speaker 12: It was packed, and yeah, you had to get it generally,
- 40:05Speaker 12: would have to get it through another organization, right, so
- 40:09Speaker 12: state delegation. I mean, that's like it with any convention.
- 40:12Speaker 12: I mean, well, any convention where there's that much interest
- 40:14Speaker 12: and people want to get in. I mean, I've not
- 40:16Speaker 12: seen one that packed. I mean it was a Thursday night,
- 40:19Speaker 12: was just incredibly packed and packed house.
- 40:24Speaker 4: I thought.
- 40:24Speaker 12: What was interesting too, I believe it was on Tuesday
- 40:27Speaker 12: night while the convention hall at the United Center in
- 40:30Speaker 12: Chicago was packed, Vice President Harris did another rally up
- 40:34Speaker 12: the road in Milwaukee where the Republicans held their convention
- 40:38Speaker 12: a few weeks ago, and she packed that house as well.
- 40:40Speaker 12: So we actually had two packed convention centers in one night. Impressive.
- 40:46Speaker 14: But a person just could have gotten a ticket, just
- 40:48Speaker 14: like going to a ball game, if they wanted to
- 40:50Speaker 14: go for it.
- 40:51Speaker 12: No, it said, no, you don't pay for them. You
- 40:53Speaker 12: would have to get them through a state delegation or
- 40:58Speaker 12: someone who had an allotment of tickets. But it's not
- 41:00Speaker 12: like you'd go to ticket to Ticketmaster again, not like that.
- 41:03Speaker 4: You'd have to go.
- 41:04Speaker 12: Through a different party entity way to the state party
- 41:08Speaker 12: or somebody through the DNC, or they have guest passes
- 41:10Speaker 12: that we're given out. But there were more interest in
- 41:13Speaker 12: that convention that I've seen in a long time. That's
- 41:15Speaker 12: why it was there. There were no empty seats throughout
- 41:18Speaker 12: the entire United Center.
- 41:21Speaker 4: Thank you, Chuck, appreciate the funk call. Thanks a bunch.
- 41:23Speaker 4: Let's go ahead and do this.
- 41:24Speaker 3: Let's take our break and we'll come back and we're
- 41:26Speaker 3: going to talk a little bit about more local local news.

- 44:49Speaker 3: Mike Postcan is here with us this morning. Still some
- 44:51Speaker 3: time if you want to get in on the text
- 44:52Speaker 3: line that is the Tony the Taylor text line at
- 44:54Speaker 3: three zero four nine three five five zero zero eight.
- 44:56Speaker 3: You can also call the Pickley Wiggly phone line that
- 44:59Speaker 3: is three zero four three four five fifty eight fifty
- 45:01Speaker 3: eight three zero four three four five fifty eight fifty eight.
- 45:04Speaker 3: Couple of comments from the text line as we were
- 45:06Speaker 3: away from break from the three zero four six one zero.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Do Republicans realize that with the RFK Junior endorsement that
- 45:13Speaker 3: you're bringing a lot more controlling of food onto your platform.
- 45:18Speaker 3: I don't know if the endorsement adds it to your platform,
- 45:20Speaker 3: but Junior does have some weird He.
- 45:22Speaker 12: Has some weird believes on enforcing health laws. You know,
- 45:26Speaker 12: so one the last caller was worried about the Democrats
- 45:30Speaker 12: position on on beef. You know, I'm a little bit
- 45:33Speaker 12: concerned about this RFK Junior's position on bear meat.
- 45:38Speaker 4: Yeah right, but you know what, what about fake bear meat?
- 45:42Speaker 12: But he has every right to do that except for
- 45:44Speaker 12: leaving me, you know, leaving the carcass in the park
- 45:47Speaker 12: with a bicycle. That's strange, a little weird, Yeah, little weird.
- 45:51Speaker 3: Let's see, we also got a text. Well this is
- 45:53Speaker 3: what we wanted to talk about anyway a little bit.
- 45:54Speaker 3: So from the seven six zero nine hundred. Who do
- 45:57Speaker 3: you think bailed out Jim Justice the sought the Russians
- 46:00Speaker 3: a guf mega donor.
- 46:02Speaker 4: We really don't.
- 46:03Speaker 12: We don't know, don't tell us. And that's that should
- 46:06Speaker 12: be concerning to all West Virginia. So this man wants
- 46:09Speaker 12: to represent us in the United States Senate and we
- 46:11Speaker 12: don't know who he owes this money to. And it's
- 46:13Speaker 12: quite a bit of money. I mean, one day we're
- 46:16Speaker 12: hearing that he because of his failure to pay his debts,
- 46:19Speaker 12: which is nothing new with Governor Justice, but that the
- 46:22Speaker 12: America's resort the crown Jewel of West Virginia at the
- 46:26Speaker 12: Greenbrier Resort is going to be on the auction block,
- 46:28Speaker 12: and then all of a sudden he gets bailed out,
- 46:30Speaker 12: and he won't tell us where the money came from.
- 46:32Speaker 12: We don't know if it's Saudist, we don't know if
- 46:34Speaker 12: it is Russians, We don't know who it is. So
- 46:36Speaker 12: I guess we would find out if he puts in
- 46:40Speaker 12: a ethics report and the financial disclosures to the Ethics Commission,
- 46:45Speaker 12: but that doesn't come until February after the election. So yeah,
- 46:50Speaker 12: I'm very concerned about that, and everybody should be. We
- 46:53Speaker 12: don't want somebody who is that compromised in the United
- 46:56Speaker 12: States Senate, somebody who owes that kind of favor to
- 46:59Speaker 12: some addy and we don't even know who they owe
- 47:01Speaker 12: the favor to.
- 47:02Speaker 3: It is a I mean, I'm not I'm not e
- 47:05Speaker 3: rooted enough with local or national politics and individually to
- 47:09Speaker 3: know about history of these things. But this is seems
- 47:12Speaker 3: like a very if not a unicorn moment, is just
- 47:16Speaker 3: one that doesn't come along a long time where you
- 47:18Speaker 3: have somebody and justice position, and and the way the
- 47:21Speaker 3: governor not only has been governor, but running his business
- 47:24Speaker 3: while being governor, and then now transitioning over to running
- 47:26Speaker 3: for Senate. There's just a lot of questions. And again
- 47:29Speaker 3: we talk about, you know, the media access with things
- 47:32Speaker 3: like this, there hasn't been a lot of goodwill extended
- 47:35Speaker 3: in that way. And I don't know, I mean, the
- 47:39Speaker 3: media in West Virginia is not really that harsh, you know,
- 47:42Speaker 3: for anyone.
- 47:42Speaker 12: I mean right here at Metro News. Brad mclahanny, that's
- 47:45Speaker 12: who the governor wants to kick out of his press
- 47:47Speaker 12: car want to look fair and balanced, like the real
- 47:51Speaker 12: definition of fair and balanced in the dictionary. They probably
- 47:53Speaker 12: have a picture of Brad there. Brad is very fair,
- 47:56Speaker 12: very balanced. He doesn't push one way or the other.
- 48:01Speaker 12: He works for this network, which in my opinion leans
- 48:04Speaker 12: to the right. Okay it does, And to remove him
- 48:08Speaker 12: from your press conferences for asking good questions and the
- 48:11Speaker 12: people deserve to know about this. Where this guy wants
- 48:14Speaker 12: to be in the United States Senate represent West Virginia
- 48:16Speaker 12: in the United States Senate. We don't know who bailed
- 48:19Speaker 12: him out. He won't answer questions about the fact that
- 48:21Speaker 12: he's stole money from his own workers at the resort,
- 48:24Speaker 12: didn't pay their insurance premiums. They could lose their health care,
- 48:29Speaker 12: you know, and it's the variety of problems that he has.
- 48:32Speaker 12: But to me, that's you know, not paying his uh,
- 48:35Speaker 12: not remitting a sales taxes. That's that's illegal. Also, how
- 48:39Speaker 12: is he still able to still have a casino? How
- 48:41Speaker 12: does he still have that license? How does he have
- 48:43Speaker 12: how do they selling liquor down there at the any
- 48:46Speaker 12: other bar, if you didn't pay your sales tax, you
- 48:48Speaker 12: would be shut down, any business would be Why is
- 48:52Speaker 12: he getting this type of special treatment? And another question
- 48:54Speaker 12: I have is where's the attorney general in all this?
- 48:56Speaker 12: I mean, he wants to be governor, you know, the
- 49:00Speaker 12: guy the you know, the most dangerous place in Charleston's
- 49:03Speaker 12: between him and a microphone and a camera. But he
- 49:05Speaker 12: won't say anything about Jim Justice.
- 49:08Speaker 3: It is, uh, there's just a regardless of what political
- 49:11Speaker 3: side you be. And I would think that when there's
- 49:13Speaker 3: questions like this, that you just that if there was
- 49:16Speaker 3: no if there was no concern with that, it seems
- 49:19Speaker 3: like would be the first thing you would lead with.
- 49:20Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know, I'm just thinking that if
- 49:22Speaker 3: you wanted to decap anybody that had allegations of you know,
- 49:27Speaker 3: vague what's going on, here. You just reveal the data, right, say,
- 49:30Speaker 3: like what fake news? What are you guys talking about?
- 49:32Speaker 2: Right?
- 49:32Speaker 3: That would be one occurrence that you could do that, right,
- 49:35Speaker 3: you have the data where you could prove it.
- 49:37Speaker 4: Why not? I don't know. I mean, I don't know.
- 49:39Speaker 3: It's it's more money than I've ever been accustomed to
- 49:41Speaker 3: dealing with. So there's things that I don't understand about it.
- 49:43Speaker 4: But I don't know. It's it's it's questions. It seems
- 49:46Speaker 4: like that's fair game.
- 49:47Speaker 12: Well I feel bad for the employees down there or
- 49:51Speaker 12: of that sort of uncertainty because they're working for a
- 49:53Speaker 12: guy who wants to use their money money was supposed
- 49:58Speaker 12: to go towards their healthcare, use it as interest free loan.
- 50:02Speaker 12: Where did the money go? He's using it somewhere else.
- 50:04Speaker 12: He's not having to pay any interest on it. Same
- 50:06Speaker 12: with the sales tax that he was supposed to be
- 50:08Speaker 12: turning over to the state. That's not his money, that's
- 50:10Speaker 12: supposed to go directly back to the state coffer that is,
- 50:13Speaker 12: that's a sales tax, and he's using it once again
- 50:17Speaker 12: like interest free loan to me. That should be illegal
- 50:21Speaker 12: and and somebody should look into it. Unfortunately, we have
- 50:24Speaker 12: this one sided government down here that that will turn
- 50:27Speaker 12: their head when it's one of their own breaking the law.
- 50:30Speaker 13: Uh.
- 50:31Speaker 12: But then you know, has all sorts of you know,
- 50:34Speaker 12: fake press conferences over over going after the perceived threats
- 50:39Speaker 12: from the from the federal government.
- 50:41Speaker 4: What before we cut you loose.
- 50:42Speaker 3: We just have a couple of minutes left here of
- 50:45Speaker 3: the I need to mention that you're in interims right now.
- 50:48Speaker 4: What's going What's what's going on?
- 50:50Speaker 12: You know, speaking of the Attorney general who's also running
- 50:53Speaker 12: for governor, we had a very interesting, uh, inter meeting
- 50:56Speaker 12: yesterday and heard a lot of really bad news that
- 50:58Speaker 12: we've known unfortunately for years, by how West Virginia continues
- 51:01Speaker 12: to lead the country in overdose deaths, We continue to
- 51:05Speaker 12: lead the country and children being taken out of their homes,
- 51:07Speaker 12: children in the foster care system, and you know what
- 51:09Speaker 12: the second place state isn't even close. Uh. And we
- 51:14Speaker 12: we created the you know, the Attorney General created this
- 51:16Speaker 12: West Virginia First Foundation hopefully be a clearinghouse for these
- 51:21Speaker 12: funds that we've gotten through the through these settlements. You
- 51:23Speaker 12: got to remember, these settlements aren't a windfall. We've got
- 51:26Speaker 12: those because of death of our loved ones and destruction
- 51:29Speaker 12: to the state and just the uh, you know what,
- 51:32Speaker 12: the havoc that is Greeked by this drug epidemic and
- 51:35Speaker 12: it has gone to this West Virginia First Foundation. Yesterday
- 51:37Speaker 12: it's like, no money's gone out yet and it's not
- 51:40Speaker 12: going out for a while. And instead, what what I
- 51:42Speaker 12: learned yesterday is they're staffing up. First of all, they
- 51:45Speaker 12: have this board that could be there to go through
- 51:48Speaker 12: the applications. They're hired. They brought in this panel. That's great,
- 51:51Speaker 12: But now they're bringing in paid staffers, one of which
- 51:55Speaker 12: is a as a marketing uh marketing officer. Why would
- 52:00Speaker 12: you need to market giving out money? It makes absolutely
- 52:03Speaker 12: no sense to me. So it seems like it's just,
- 52:05Speaker 12: you know, more for show, and it's really it's it's
- 52:08Speaker 12: to me, it's it's disgusting. They're taking this money, that's
- 52:11Speaker 12: blood money in West Virginia and using it to create
- 52:14Speaker 12: all these new positions, high paid positions. I want to
- 52:17Speaker 12: see the money out where it helps people. It's it's
- 52:20Speaker 12: too late for a lot of people. It's gone on
- 52:23Speaker 12: too long.
- 52:24Speaker 4: That's delicate.
- 52:25Speaker 3: Mike Pushkin with a compassion plea there and a lot
- 52:27Speaker 3: of a lot of questions around and a lot of
- 52:29Speaker 3: good information now sharing what happened at the d NC,
- 52:31Speaker 3: answering questions and text.
- 52:32Speaker 4: Appreciate Mike being in, thanks a lot, My appreciate it.
- 52:34Speaker 12: Thanks for having on.
- 52:35Speaker 3: We'll see you on next time. That's delicate, Mike Pushkin.
