- 0:14Speaker 2: his show, his podcast, his books, his column Everything's at
- 0:17Speaker 2: Howiecarshow dot com, Howie Carshow dot com. Howie Carr. How
- 0:23Speaker 2: you doing.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Very well, comrade? After last night's primary results.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Let me start with this is the main newspaper. Explain
- 0:32Speaker 2: this headline to me. Graham Platner gets more primary votes
- 0:36Speaker 2: than any other Democrat Senate candidate in Maine history. What
- 0:40Speaker 2: the hell is going on?
- 0:42Speaker 1: Well? I guess, uh, I guess, you know, as a
- 0:45Speaker 1: someone who was born in Maine, I guess we have
- 0:47Speaker 1: the same problem as New York City.
- 0:51Speaker 2: But uh, I think I have buyer's remorse over nominating
- 0:55Speaker 2: this guy.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I think they, I think they already are having buyer's remorse.
- 0:59Speaker 1: And you know they they're putting out every day there's
- 1:01Speaker 1: a new Reddit post. The one yesterday was so horrific
- 1:06Speaker 1: I can't even begin to repeat it. I just tweeted
- 1:08Speaker 1: it out. People were discussed. I even retweeted it. But listen,
- 1:12Speaker 1: I want to talk about what's going on in New
- 1:14Speaker 1: York City here? Is this? Is this a good thing
- 1:16Speaker 1: or a bad thing for the Republican Party overall? I'm
- 1:20Speaker 1: just you know, nationwide, you know, I'm thinking about like
- 1:23Speaker 1: the you know, this is like it's like nineteen thirty two,
- 1:26Speaker 1: you know, when Hitler was making this move, and you know,
- 1:30Speaker 1: like the powers that be in Germany, they thought, we
- 1:33Speaker 1: get this guy Hindenburg, so let's bring this clown in
- 1:36Speaker 1: and you know, give them, give them a few, you know,
- 1:40Speaker 1: a few crumbs, and we'll take care of him and
- 1:42Speaker 1: it'll be okay. And you know that that seems you know,
- 1:45Speaker 1: that's kind of what I'm thinking. You know that this
- 1:47Speaker 1: is good to have these these people is the face
- 1:50Speaker 1: of the Democrat Party. But on the other hand, you know,
- 1:54Speaker 1: you can overdo this thing about letting these people get
- 1:59Speaker 1: pushing their no is under the tent. What do you think?
- 2:01Speaker 1: Is it a good thing or a bad thing?
- 2:04Speaker 2: Anytime you got crazy lunatic communists elected, it's a bad thing,
- 2:07Speaker 2: no matter what. I mean. How much damage can they do?
- 2:10Speaker 2: That's another question.
- 2:11Speaker 1: But it's hard to feel sorry for Dan Goldman, though,
- 2:15Speaker 1: isn't it.
- 2:15Speaker 2: No, I can't feel sorry for him, right.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Right, but on the other hand, you know, it's kind
- 2:21Speaker 1: of weird. I mean that district where that Chevalier who
- 2:25Speaker 1: another one who became a Muslim. There was a good
- 2:28Speaker 1: career move apparently electorally a career community activist meeting. She's
- 2:33Speaker 1: never had a real job. I mean, isn't isn't that
- 2:36Speaker 1: Adam Clayton Powells Old District and Charles Wrangells Old District.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean they were, you know, the most right
- 2:43Speaker 2: wing guys in the world compared to these lunatics.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Well so it's gone. So it's gone from a black
- 2:48Speaker 1: district to a Hispanic district. Now it's a Muslim district.
- 2:52Speaker 1: But I don't think Muslims are the majority in the district,
- 2:55Speaker 1: are they?
- 2:56Speaker 2: No? No, But they're all running on this anti sem
- 3:00Speaker 2: anti Israel crap and that's all it takes with Democrats
- 3:03Speaker 2: in New York. Now, unfortunately, that's bad.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I mean, you know, the question you got to ask
- 3:10Speaker 1: yourself if you're Lander is you know, I mean, Lander's
- 3:13Speaker 1: okay because you know he's running against Goldman, who likes Israel.
- 3:17Speaker 1: So he's he's but he's still Jewish and he likes it,
- 3:20Speaker 1: and he doesn't like Israel. So how long until the
- 3:23Speaker 1: next Chevalier or wherever he pronounces her name shows up
- 3:26Speaker 1: and says, well, I may, I may trans lesbian illegal alien,
- 3:32Speaker 1: So you have to vote for me instead of Lander.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I don't care how far left wing he is. I
- 3:36Speaker 1: mean you got to figure how many He doesn't have
- 3:39Speaker 1: that many terms left? I would think, does he really? No?
- 3:42Speaker 2: But doesn't Lander remind you of a young, slimy Joe Biden,
- 3:45Speaker 2: you know, do anything to say anything to get elected,
- 3:47Speaker 2: do whatever he has to do.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Yeah, but I think he's got to again. I think
- 3:52Speaker 1: being being a white man is now a racial handicap.
- 3:54Speaker 1: It certainly isn't the Democrat Party, isn't it, And isn't
- 3:58Speaker 1: Mary to a woman?
- 4:01Speaker 2: Yeah that's true.
- 4:02Speaker 1: But there's a there's a there's another bad thing. I mean,
- 4:05Speaker 1: you know it's it's it's okay, you know. I mean,
- 4:10Speaker 1: we got a guy running up here in the Massachusetts
- 4:12Speaker 1: against a guy named Steve Lynch who's been around for
- 4:14Speaker 1: a long time. But you know, he's running scared. He
- 4:17Speaker 1: here's the footsteps. And I said, oh, this guy's good.
- 4:19Speaker 1: He's from out of state, he's a multi millionaire, he's
- 4:22Speaker 1: you know, never really worked, and I said, oh, he's married,
- 4:25Speaker 1: and and I you know, look him up. He's at
- 4:28Speaker 1: least he's married to an Asian. You know. I mean,
- 4:31Speaker 1: if into racial marriage, it's it doesn't it doesn't really
- 4:35Speaker 1: carry much weight in the Demo Democrat circles, but it's
- 4:39Speaker 1: it's it's better than a being you know, a you know,
- 4:42Speaker 1: same race marriage. I think, I mean, these people are crazy, Mark,
- 4:46Speaker 1: they I mean, they're insane.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Totally insane. Hey, the only good news last night. George
- 4:51Speaker 2: Conway totally humiliated last night. Do you think he's got
- 4:55Speaker 2: the message that he can never run for anything?
- 4:58Speaker 1: Boy? You know, I saw the thing this morning where
- 5:00Speaker 1: he said that he gave nine hundred and twenty nine
- 5:02Speaker 1: thousand dollars to Joe Biden. Did you see that?
- 5:06Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:07Speaker 1: I mean did they? You know? And I keep thinking,
- 5:11Speaker 1: you know, when when I saw stire spent another two
- 5:15Speaker 1: hundred million in California, I keep thinking, you know what
- 5:18Speaker 1: always kids think that he is Now he's now blown
- 5:20Speaker 1: five hundred million dollars, first running for president, now for
- 5:23Speaker 1: California governor. But you know, I think probably nine hundred
- 5:27Speaker 1: thousand dollars to George Conway is like five hundred million
- 5:32Speaker 1: to fire, you know, I mean, how do you tell
- 5:36Speaker 1: you kids?
- 5:38Speaker 2: Oh?
- 5:38Speaker 1: You know, I could have given you a down payment
- 5:41Speaker 1: for a house in a place where crazy Democrats don't live,
- 5:45Speaker 1: so you could have enterant kids to public school. But
- 5:49Speaker 1: I threw it all away on Joe Biden.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Hey at least, and the other good news is that
- 5:56Speaker 2: ridiculous lunatic Kennedy kids Schlattsburgh lost. Do you think he
- 6:00Speaker 2: got the message stay out of politics.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, the Kennedy's are really having a bad
- 6:05Speaker 1: run here, aren't they. I mean, you know, Joe Kennedy
- 6:08Speaker 1: lost the primary in Massachusetts six years ago, and now
- 6:13Speaker 1: is now jack Schlosburgh has lost. It's it's it's just
- 6:16Speaker 1: a it's a bad you know, they're they're I think
- 6:19Speaker 1: they're all done.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I hope so. But each generation, you're the Kennedy expert,
- 6:26Speaker 2: each generation got lower and lower and lower and lower
- 6:29Speaker 2: in i Q in everything in talent.
- 6:34Speaker 1: But but on the other hand, in Slosburgh's case, the
- 6:37Speaker 1: net worth went way up, right. I mean, look at
- 6:40Speaker 1: all the money. Look at all the money he's worth
- 6:42Speaker 1: through through Caroline, through his mother. I mean, you know Jackie, Oh,
- 6:46Speaker 1: I mean she had she she had she had all
- 6:49Speaker 1: that that money that she got from Onassis, and then
- 6:51Speaker 1: it was put the it was it was put put
- 6:55Speaker 1: into very good investments and they sold the house on
- 6:59Speaker 1: Nantucket tens of millions of dollars, et cetera, et cetera.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know, but he's he's he's he's
- 7:07Speaker 1: crazy too. But again, look at all the people. The
- 7:11Speaker 1: guy that won that primary though, Mark isn't he isn't
- 7:14Speaker 1: he kind of like a h A Wiener Schumer type guy.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Yeah, he's semi normal.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Ever really had a job, who just worked it, just
- 7:23Speaker 1: worked his way up. He was an aide, and then
- 7:25Speaker 1: he moves up to the you know, to the Assembly,
- 7:28Speaker 1: and then you know, you know, you know what I mean.
- 7:30Speaker 1: He's he's an old style Democrat hack.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he's semi normal to the new styles. Yeah, and
- 7:37Speaker 2: he got it only because A. Bloomberg pumped ten million
- 7:39Speaker 2: into his campaign and really really yeah, in a primary
- 7:44Speaker 2: campaign in a little district and Nadler backed him, so
- 7:47Speaker 2: the establishment backed him.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Yeah, he only won by four thousand votes.
- 7:51Speaker 2: I say, yeah, hey in Maine, uh, the Bush candidate,
- 7:56Speaker 2: Jonathan Bush, Yeah lost? Is that the end?
- 8:00Speaker 1: He wasn't really a manor though, you know, I mean
- 8:02Speaker 1: none of the none of the Bushes are really mainers.
- 8:04Speaker 1: They have the place in Kennebunkport, you know, down on
- 8:06Speaker 1: the coast near why he used to work. But they
- 8:09Speaker 1: you know, he he's the brother of Billy Bush.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Yeah, and the son of Jonathan Bush, who was the
- 8:16Speaker 2: brother of George h. W. But does that mean that's
- 8:18Speaker 2: the end of the Bush dynasty in politics?
- 8:21Speaker 1: I think, well, again, they're they're having the same problems
- 8:23Speaker 1: as the Kennedy's. I mean, the the kid down in Texas, Uh,
- 8:28Speaker 1: Jeb's kid. You know, he had a job as I
- 8:30Speaker 1: think railroad commissioner or something, which is a big job
- 8:33Speaker 1: down there, and then he tried to move up to
- 8:35Speaker 1: a g or something and got crushed, you know, four
- 8:38Speaker 1: years ago. So I think I think they're all done too.
- 8:41Speaker 1: They're certainly all done in Florida, and I think they're
- 8:44Speaker 1: done in Texas. And now now it appears in Maine
- 8:48Speaker 1: and Connecticut. Forget about Connecticut, for Connecticut's going the way
- 8:54Speaker 1: of New York. I mean that's where they started. You know,
- 8:56Speaker 1: Prescott Bush, the old man, yeah, uh, you know, the
- 9:00Speaker 1: George George h. W's father, you know, used to get
- 9:02Speaker 1: pushed around by LBJ in the Senate. Great great photos.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Yeah great, I mean literally literally LBJ has got it
- 9:10Speaker 1: backed up against a desk. He's bending over trying to escape.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Well, you know, and.
- 9:21Speaker 1: You know his son and his grandson become president. What
- 9:24Speaker 1: a weird what a weird country, what a weird world
- 9:27Speaker 1: we live in?
- 9:28Speaker 2: Yeah? Well look at last night they call it. They're
- 9:30Speaker 2: calling us now the comedy corridor here in New York
- 9:34Speaker 2: more a socialist communists elected.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Is it good or bad? Though, Mark, and I'd come
- 9:39Speaker 1: back to the original question I asked you for for
- 9:42Speaker 1: the Is it good or bad for the Republican Party
- 9:44Speaker 1: to have these people as to face?
- 9:46Speaker 2: Well, it might help the Republicans, but it's going to
- 9:48Speaker 2: get worse before it gets better. So we're gonna have
- 9:51Speaker 2: to live through that. So uh, anyway, how we car
- 9:53Speaker 2: We're out of time, but hey, everything to go to
