- 0:41Speaker 2: So actually I was talking to a fellow today who's
- 0:44Speaker 2: doing some work for me.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Oh yeah. Was he a physician?
- 0:48Speaker 3: No plassic surgeon, no old Steve?
- 0:52Speaker 1: Is it anything?
- 0:53Speaker 4: Yeah Steve.
- 0:56Speaker 2: And we were talking about Japan keezy and he's been
- 0:59Speaker 2: there me any times, Oh yeah, and speaks fluent Japanese
- 1:03Speaker 2: as well, really yeah, Japanese and Dutch. And he was
- 1:08Speaker 2: telling me how amazing Japan was as your family trip.
- 1:12Speaker 4: I know you're going there.
- 1:13Speaker 3: We're going in October. October, yes, October, so you should.
- 1:16Speaker 3: I'll give you my dates.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Man, you probably are probably out of You're probably out
- 1:20Speaker 1: of leave, aren't you.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Well you're working through right through.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I probably am out of leave. Actually, we'll
- 1:27Speaker 2: see how we go. I may have more leave than
- 1:29Speaker 2: I know what to do with your main point.
- 1:31Speaker 5: You may, I think, Jase, it's important to have something
- 1:33Speaker 5: on the horizon, yes, just to keep a weather eye on.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Are you going anywhere this year?
- 1:40Speaker 1: I don't know. It's a few things have fallen into place, Keezy,
- 1:44Speaker 1: I've got it. I don't know, you know. I mean
- 1:46Speaker 1: I certainly may be going overseas. Got a lot of
- 1:50Speaker 1: work to do, key men, you know how there's.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Brother Yeah, I feel like Europe again.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I'd like to go to Fiji. Just back to Fiji.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Yeah, sure, I like that a little bit, but just
- 2:01Speaker 4: with the kid.
- 2:01Speaker 3: With the kid, Yeah, but I.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Go for shorter. It was too long last time she
- 2:04Speaker 1: started getting entitled. You can see how it could gets spoilt.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Fuck yeah now.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Yes, fuck because I mean what about Assie.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Some places in you know, well, there'd be some good
- 2:16Speaker 2: places to just I would.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Do that, but I wouldn't do it sober to be
- 2:21Speaker 1: honest with you. Yeah, yeah, I dealt with my messas.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I probably wouldn't take my kid. Yeah, yet we're probably
- 2:28Speaker 1: going so that's holiday, isn't.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Yeah, we go get the magic around or whatever.
- 2:31Speaker 5: But the other thing about Oussie is it's it's way
- 2:34Speaker 5: more expensive, like living in Ossie than coming on holiday
- 2:37Speaker 5: in New Zealand is awesome because they earn way more
- 2:39Speaker 5: money than us. Right, and then with the money were
- 2:41Speaker 5: you and then you go over to Ossie. It's everything's
- 2:42Speaker 5: really fucking expensive and it's really similar to New Zealand.
- 2:45Speaker 5: It is, So I don't find it's that great unless
- 2:48Speaker 5: it's magic.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Right.
- 2:49Speaker 4: My boys enjoyed us.
- 2:51Speaker 5: But you're so wealthy Sydney. Yeah, yeah, Yeah, I love Sidney.
- 2:55Speaker 5: I've got friends over there.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Sydney, but for me miles better than Brisbane where we
- 3:01Speaker 1: gave the magic ground. Right, you're going there because something
- 3:03Speaker 1: on You would never go there really for any other reason.
- 3:05Speaker 3: I go to Brisbane to watch footage.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but son Trine Coast is great and all that.
- 3:09Speaker 1: That's great I have.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I was just about to say that I'm less of
- 3:13Speaker 2: a fan of Sydney and more of a Melbourne Melbourne.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:16Speaker 5: See, I've only done Melbourne for forty eight hours for
- 3:18Speaker 5: a work thing. Yes, I've never had but everyone's like
- 3:21Speaker 5: now Melbourne's waivered than Sydney, and I love I only
- 3:23Speaker 5: went there.
- 3:24Speaker 1: I've spent little bits of time there. I went for well,
- 3:28Speaker 1: I go for ship boxing test, right, yeah, test, and
- 3:33Speaker 1: I was smashed well you know, on it. And then
- 3:37Speaker 1: the worst hangover of my life that really I couldn't shake.
- 3:41Speaker 1: It went for like three days, but I didn't get no,
- 3:44Speaker 1: I could it. And dude, I'm all about that. Yes, yeah, yeah,
- 3:47Speaker 1: I'm the poster boy for that ship. I couldn't drink
- 3:50Speaker 1: through it. I was rooted. You were, I really bug
- 3:53Speaker 1: it at out?
- 3:54Speaker 3: Do you know you and your biggest hangover ever was.
- 3:57Speaker 4: I've had some shockers.
- 3:58Speaker 5: No, I know you would have had the worst ones
- 3:59Speaker 5: in the world anyone's ever had. But like, remember one,
- 4:02Speaker 5: Do you remember one specific one? Because I remember one
- 4:05Speaker 5: and it probably doesn't compare to you guys. But it
- 4:08Speaker 5: was when I was studying and we'd been on the
- 4:09Speaker 5: person for like three straight days or something, and then
- 4:12Speaker 5: on the third morning after the third night of doing it,
- 4:15Speaker 5: I was just like vomiting blood in the toilet.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and it was just like nothing.
- 4:19Speaker 5: I was just like nothing was coming out and all
- 4:20Speaker 5: I could do was heave for like two three hours.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Pretty serious if you're vomiting blood.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Never vomited blood neither. I remember being so hungover because
- 4:28Speaker 1: we you know, we had a flat with all the
- 4:30Speaker 1: boys and getting getting obliterated drunk, and then the next
- 4:33Speaker 1: day on the Sunday there getting stoned and I've never
- 4:36Speaker 1: liked smoking weed, and I got started. I was so stoned,
- 4:40Speaker 1: you know when you just glued to the couch and
- 4:41Speaker 1: that's you. Yes, And in my head I was just thinking,
- 4:45Speaker 1: you know, and you're also you're just trying to get
- 4:46Speaker 1: to the end of the day so you can go
- 4:47Speaker 1: to bed. You're killing time to go to bed. Yeah,
- 4:49Speaker 1: And I was saying, if I go to go to sleep,
- 4:51Speaker 1: I think I'll die. I'm so stoned that I don't
- 4:54Speaker 1: think I'll make yea I could still, That's what's that
- 4:59Speaker 1: all my was forty years ago, thirty years ago, thirty
- 5:02Speaker 1: years ago, and I can still remember, yes, where I
- 5:04Speaker 1: was sitting, what that lounge looked like, and that feeling
- 5:07Speaker 1: of I can't go to sleep, or old day the
- 5:10Speaker 1: Whole Archy.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Big Show wee days from four on Radio Hurarchy. Remember
- 5:15Speaker 3: the Warchy Big Show podcast.
- 5:18Speaker 4: I've told Mogi about this particular time. I don't I'm told.
- 5:20Speaker 3: You, but it was.
- 5:24Speaker 4: It was when I was doing a film.
- 5:29Speaker 2: And but but in this in the schedule for the film,
- 5:36Speaker 2: I won't say what film it was.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I think what film was before it was.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I was scheduled for the very end of the film
- 5:42Speaker 2: as if it was that text one maybe. And it
- 5:45Speaker 2: was like three or four days at the end of
- 5:47Speaker 2: filming Keezy and actually my wife had gone away with
- 5:54Speaker 2: the kids to the farm or some nature and some
- 5:58Speaker 2: of the fellers came around and we went on a
- 5:59Speaker 2: bit of a bit of a bender really, I think
- 6:02Speaker 2: it's fair to say, for about three days, right, And
- 6:05Speaker 2: it was about five o'clock in the afternoon. This is
- 6:07Speaker 2: many many years ago, and I was steamed and my
- 6:12Speaker 2: agent and my agent rang me and I was like,
- 6:16Speaker 2: are you Jay's how it's been a busy day? And
- 6:20Speaker 2: she said to me, oh, because they've changed the schedule
- 6:25Speaker 2: and they want you to film tomorrow. And I was like, oh,
- 6:30Speaker 2: because I knew I was in for a monumental hangover.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Once I stopped, and I was like and I lost
- 6:38Speaker 2: my shit. I was like, what what the other thing was?
- 6:43Speaker 2: I had heaps of script and I hadn't learned any lines,
- 6:48Speaker 2: and so I was steamed at five o'clock and I
- 6:51Speaker 2: had to be out in Manekow the next morning at
- 6:54Speaker 2: like six o'clock in the morning.
- 6:57Speaker 4: It was fucking horrific.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Yeah, that's time.
- 7:00Speaker 4: I was sweat.
- 7:00Speaker 2: I got on set and I was sweating, and they
- 7:03Speaker 2: were trying to put make and then I had to
- 7:05Speaker 2: learn like five scenes that were all about tax and
- 7:10Speaker 2: it was a fucking nightmare. And the hangover was how
- 7:14Speaker 2: I got through that day. I will never know, Pugs.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I can tell you the name of that movie.
- 7:19Speaker 5: Can we find those scenes and just analyze how put
- 7:23Speaker 5: them up on? So I can see why you never
- 7:26Speaker 5: won Actor of the Year.
- 7:28Speaker 2: I've always been I was always very professional in that sense,
- 7:33Speaker 2: like I wouldn't even normally do that, but I was.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I was.
- 7:36Speaker 4: I should have been aware that it was a possibility call. No,
- 7:40Speaker 4: I wasn't on call.
- 7:40Speaker 2: They had already sent the schedule out and then they
- 7:43Speaker 2: just changed it all out.
- 7:44Speaker 4: They literally flipped it around.
- 7:46Speaker 5: You say, how hungover it is? No, see, I would
- 7:50Speaker 5: have no. I would have been like, no, we can't.
- 7:52Speaker 5: I Am going to be so fucking hungover tomorrow. It's
- 7:54Speaker 5: gonna be a shame.
- 7:55Speaker 4: But when it comes to filming, they don't give a fuck.
- 7:57Speaker 4: They just want to get it done.
- 7:59Speaker 3: How you make great art?
- 8:01Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 8:01Speaker 4: But what?
- 8:02Speaker 1: Yeah? How you make serviceable content?
- 8:04Speaker 2: And I remember just in the first scene, the first take,
- 8:07Speaker 2: and my heart just pounded.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You would have had a hell of a sleep the
- 8:10Speaker 1: night before as well?
- 8:11Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I was sweaty.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Would you would have been dreaming about work? You're been dreaming,
- 8:15Speaker 1: You're going to miss your alarm, all that sort of stuff.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Got it's good.
- 8:18Speaker 2: Well, no, I didn't miss my alarm because I woke
- 8:20Speaker 2: up about three o'clock in a cold sweet I couldn't
- 8:24Speaker 2: get back and all my sheets were like ropes because
- 8:27Speaker 2: I've been to.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Go rope and you're the oscar for that one I did?
- 8:33Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 8:34Speaker 3: What was that movie?
- 8:35Speaker 4: Called?
- 8:38Speaker 1: Definitely a text one Eric Thompson and it is got
- 8:43Speaker 1: to thank You for your Service or something like that. Yeah, yeah,
- 8:47Speaker 1: something like that. Yeah, it was a shock of.
- 8:49Speaker 3: It would say it's a Kiwi classic?
- 8:52Speaker 4: Was it actually not a bad movie?
- 8:53Speaker 3: Right?
- 8:54Speaker 4: It didn't? It made about eighty thousand dollars. Wow, so I.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Reckon today money that's about one point one bill Yeah.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Yeah, oh wow, that's pretty good.
- 9:05Speaker 2: But it's just it would be it would have been
- 9:06Speaker 2: a good movie in this day and age for sort
- 9:08Speaker 2: of you know, straight to TV.
- 9:11Speaker 5: Yeah, because I remember a guy brought a DVD of
- 9:13Speaker 5: it to one of our live shows, young Fella, and
- 9:15Speaker 5: you signed it, that's right, Oh yes, yeah, and you
- 9:18Speaker 5: signed it. And I was like to him like, oh,
- 9:20Speaker 5: did you watch it? He's like yeah, And I was like,
- 9:22Speaker 5: how was it not very good? And I was like, yeah,
- 9:25Speaker 5: probably like it?
- 9:25Speaker 1: That sounds about right, I vaguely remember. And this was
- 9:30Speaker 1: a story that was told by somebody and I can't
- 9:33Speaker 1: remember who, and it may have been a lie. Maybe
- 9:34Speaker 1: I dreamed it, but there was a bit of chat
- 9:36Speaker 1: that it might have been a text right off. Yes, yeah, yeah,
- 9:40Speaker 1: stranger that it was produced for that reason now, not
- 9:42Speaker 1: to cows suspicions against there, because.
- 9:45Speaker 2: It was all about this dude in Dunedin who took
- 9:48Speaker 2: on the tax apartment.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Right. He was a developer. And were you the guy Henderson?
- 9:52Speaker 4: I think he was tex guy.
- 9:54Speaker 1: You were the text?
- 9:54Speaker 4: I was no. I was the accountant trying to nail
- 9:57Speaker 4: his US.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Good and so I had all these tax terms keezy
- 10:02Speaker 2: in my lines just and I was just like oh fuck,
- 10:05Speaker 2: which I didn't make any sense to me.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Whatsoever.
- 10:08Speaker 5: And at that point you're just saying word no, meaning
- 10:11Speaker 5: oh God, stressful.
- 10:12Speaker 4: If the makeup person coming after every take and.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Just wiping you down. It's not backed to the rafters,
- 10:19Speaker 1: I can tell you that.
- 10:19Speaker 5: But you hear about the amazing steam performances like the
- 10:22Speaker 5: fellow on Jaws.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Right, But can I by then?
- 10:25Speaker 2: I wasn't steamed because I stopped right there and then
- 10:28Speaker 2: and just started learning lines.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Could you have powered through and just stayed steamed?
- 10:32Speaker 1: No, it doesn't work. No, no, sobering up on seat.
- 10:35Speaker 1: It's not the go at all. I can't find it. Chase,
- 10:38Speaker 1: what year do you think?
- 10:39Speaker 5: It was?
- 10:40Speaker 4: Something like how may I help? Or something?
- 10:45Speaker 1: He's old, he's had it abolished from his it's from
- 10:51Speaker 1: his IMDb. Yeah, I wonder what year there was, because
- 10:54Speaker 1: it seems like it would have been around two thousand,
- 10:56Speaker 1: wouldn't it.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Yeah maybe Jason Hoyt movies, We're Here to Help.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Oh, We're here, and seven wasn't even that long ago?
- 11:03Speaker 1: Yeah, God, twenty years Jesus.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Jason Hoyt movie. In a photo of you pops up
- 11:08Speaker 3: like that.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Here he is here, he is I look hot? But oh,
- 11:12Speaker 1: you got two arms on your glasses. Man, what a
- 11:14Speaker 1: rich guy.
- 11:15Speaker 4: This is just a shitty old Oh yeah, that's right.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's good ship man.
- 11:20Speaker 1: The camera man, it's going to show it to the
- 11:23Speaker 1: camera because this is on Pooh Tube.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Little g pugs. All right, it is on YouTube and
- 11:29Speaker 3: it's time to sign off.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Whose top a week container is that? By the way,
- 11:35Speaker 4: is that your what he got in there? It looks
- 11:37Speaker 4: like muffling.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I'll tell you. I'll tell you a secret. Last night
- 11:40Speaker 1: I ordered a reburger. Yes, got me old secret code.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Kezykezy helped me out with that one so I could
- 11:48Speaker 1: get it discounted to zero. Go into the old credit
- 11:51Speaker 1: card today charge me. Oh no, So I've been on
- 11:56Speaker 1: the phone today trying to organize that. What you can imagine,
- 11:58Speaker 1: there's an absolute piece when you when you wring up
- 12:02Speaker 1: the guy that makes the fried chicken, yeah, the cheeseburgers,
- 12:05Speaker 1: and you say to him, hey, man, I've got this
- 12:08Speaker 1: code and I put an order in last night and
- 12:11Speaker 1: it went to zero, but it's been charged to my
- 12:13Speaker 1: credit card and I'm just wondering how to get it
- 12:15Speaker 1: back and he's like, yeah, yeah, that sucks. Yeah.
- 12:22Speaker 5: So anyway, it's never happened to me anyway, this is
- 12:25Speaker 5: a big show, four or seven week days.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Ready a huducky good listening
