- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Like, you're like pulling nouns out and like throwing them at me.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: I'm like, what does pudding have to do with this text?
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: Yes, guys, I accidentally threw my phone away at the quick trip trash can this morning.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: On the way here, yes.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: I had a few cups in my car, and I just went to throw it away and I threw it all away.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: You stopped off in the wing.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, including my phone.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: So I threw it all away, but I didn't realize I threw my phone away.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: So I just continued on with like getting gas and everything.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: And I'm looking, I'm like, where is my phone?
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: And I was like, did I throw it away?
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: I was like I was like, those cups felt a little heavy.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: That thump was a little had a little too much base to it.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: So then I looked and my phone was there, but I couldn't reach, so someone had to come help me.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: I was wondering, I was like, wow, you can't dig in the trash, but is it bolted down?

- 2:11SPEAKER_01: I thought you had it my phone out.
- 2:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I was like, what?
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: No, that's like unlike you.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: I was confused.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Like it's Toto and Cheated Girls One pulling them out of the sewer.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: No, literally.
- 2:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Is that her dog's name in Cheated Girls One?
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Toto?

- 2:30SPEAKER_02: What happened?
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: Against my will, I found out the government name of Maple Long Long.
- 2:35SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I'm like pissed about it.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Like, like I I'm rereading this text that I'm mad at.
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
- 2:43SPEAKER_02: Guys, put it away.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: Have them put it away.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: Um I was in the car, I was in Salt Lake this week, and Jesse's sister was bringing donuts, and she was like, What donuts do you guys want?
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: And out of Jesse's mouth, she goes, Oh, I'll do a maple bar.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: I went, ah, ah, ah.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: And I was like, What is a map?
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: What's a maple bar?
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: What's a maple bar?
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: Like, I feel like I immediately understood what it was.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: And she goes, It's like the long, like you know, she's wrong.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: But but she was wrong.
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: Like, it is literally a long john.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: No, I don't, I think the chocolate long johns.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: No, it all of them are called long johns.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: If you look at maple bars, either way, I think.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: That was the word that was the trigger word that I didn't know.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Either way, I don't want to know either of like I'm like annoyed that you told me another one.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm annoyed you tell me its middle name.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Like a first and middle.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm like annoyed at that.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: No, it's your maple long long.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: But no one can take that away from you.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: But anyway, I threw my phone away, whatever.
- 3:35SPEAKER_02: Ugh.
- 3:35SPEAKER_02: But we're here.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: We are, I guess.
- 3:37SPEAKER_02: It's like behind the train.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: That train had cargo.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: Had cargo.
- 3:41SPEAKER_02: What have you been up to?
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: We haven't seen each other in like 10 days.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: So I chatted last night.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: Like nine days.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: I was like, I don't know what illusion you're wanting to give, but um, no, last night we went to Cheesecake Factory and the sweetest thing ever happened.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: Like, if you ever go to the Tools at Cheesecake Factory, there's a waitress there who's also our friend.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: Her name is Andy.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: She is literally the nicest person.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: I posted a video.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: She like gave us this little dessert and like put Truth Serum podcast on it in like chocolate, like um, what's it called?
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: Syrup, Hershey's.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: And it was literally so sweet.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: And she was a thousand and one day sober.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: It was just like so sweet.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: I keep watching the video over and over.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: I have to like stop watching it because I start like I cry.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: Well, start watching it instead of your text.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: No, I mean I don't want to cry either right now.
- 4:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's it'll snap you out of it.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: I'm going through the stages of groove, grief, groove.
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: Groof.
- 4:27SPEAKER_02: Okay, groove.
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: Enjoy your stages of groove.
- 4:29SPEAKER_02: Do you want me to take it over for a second?
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: Well, I would just like you to talk about your Mexico trip because I'm about to.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: Okay, let me segue.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Like, like, like I'm like, do you like do you understand?
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: Like, there's like there's a factor of this where like there is a crowd of people that will be listening to this, and we have to like like behind the scenes like segue things.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: I know that people are shouting at home at the TV like Dora, like with you to put your phone up and not read up the okay.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: Well, so if I say I would love to hear about your Mexico trip and you go, I'm about to, I'm just segueing.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Like it's called a segue.
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: I know what a segue is, but I was gonna see what you prepped to too.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: Okay, well, I was up to the Cheesecake Factor last night.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: That's what I've been up to.
- 5:06SPEAKER_01: So that was my answer.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: Therefore, I was about to segue into your Mexico trip.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: Like, is that okay?
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's sweet.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: Allow me to no, don't say it's sweet.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: Like, no.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: I'm like an No, hold your knees, love.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: Oh, you're upsetting me today.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: Go.
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: No, I love upsetting.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: I want to hear about your Mexico trip.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: So the Mexico.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: Um, the Mexico trip was amazing.
- 5:30SPEAKER_02: And for me, I am a four-day trip person.
- 5:32SPEAKER_02: I am just like a Tulsa.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: I like to be home type of person.
- 5:36SPEAKER_02: And we did a seven-day long stay.
- 5:39SPEAKER_02: And so this is our my longest trip yet.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: Um, it's gonna sound super entitled, like I'd be like, oh, I'm complaining about being on vacation.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: Travel privilege, wow.
- 5:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: Trying to get me canceled.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: But it truly, it was the most relaxing trip ever.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: And I think I found my travel place.
- 5:54SPEAKER_02: I know that sounds crazy.
- 5:56SPEAKER_02: It's like everyone's been to you know so many people have been to Cancun.
- 5:59SPEAKER_02: It's not like, you know, a biza or whatever.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: Um but it is the best place ever.
- 6:05SPEAKER_02: Like if you like there's a new direct flight to Tulsa, it is the best.
- 6:09SPEAKER_02: Um, but anyway, so we went through the week and there was something so funny that happened on Tuesday.
- 6:17SPEAKER_02: Do you remember?
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: Tuesday.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: I don't remember the days for your trip on L Side.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: So I was enjoying, like, I was sleeping, I was enjoying like a nice rest.
- 6:26SPEAKER_02: I woke up from my nap.
- 6:27SPEAKER_02: I took myself like to dinner.
- 6:29SPEAKER_02: We had like dinner separate that night.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: And I was just like sitting at this hibachi style thing at the resort.
- 6:36SPEAKER_02: I was really just sitting, enjoying my time.
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: And I was eating whatever.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: And I, I don't know, I just started getting kind of uncomfortable.
- 6:45SPEAKER_02: And then also, Dom was really demanding my attention back in Tulsa.
- 6:49SPEAKER_02: Like he was texting me and he was just like, What do you think about the situation?
- 6:53SPEAKER_02: What do you think?
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: And I kept replying in short manners.
- 6:57SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 6:57SPEAKER_02: And I he would be like, Okay, what do you think about this?
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: I'd be like, LOL.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: I don't even remember what I was texting.
- 7:02SPEAKER_02: Whatever.
- 7:03SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 7:04SPEAKER_02: And he finally, like, I had to just finally break down and tell him.
- 7:09SPEAKER_02: I would just like, Dom, like, I don't care what you're talking about right now.
- 7:12SPEAKER_02: Like, they just turned off all the lights.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: I'm here alone.
- 7:16SPEAKER_02: They just brought me out a dessert and lit it on fire.
- 7:20SPEAKER_02: Like, I do not need my dessert to be on fire.
- 7:22SPEAKER_02: Do you remember that?
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: No.
- 7:25SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:26SPEAKER_02: Remember last week?
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: This doesn't have to be about me remembering it.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: Keep telling us.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: Anyway, so I was just saying that I was so frustrated at you because everything, everything I was texting you was not enough.
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: Like, it's one of those things.
- 7:38SPEAKER_02: They were just like, they were like, okay, do you want to try this um uh what is it?
- 7:43SPEAKER_02: Tempura ice cream.
- 7:45SPEAKER_02: And I was just like, I really no.
- 7:47SPEAKER_02: I was like, no.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: And they were like, you have to.
- 7:50SPEAKER_02: And then they brought it out on a cart, okay?
- 7:54SPEAKER_02: They turned off the lights, three tables pointed at me and were like cheering.
- 8:00SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 8:01SPEAKER_02: They pour, they like they have a literal gravy boat.
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: Remember the gravy boat from Raven?
- 8:07SPEAKER_02: Like, does it?
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: She dug up the gravy boat.
- 8:09SPEAKER_02: They had that and they put brandy in it, like the liquor, lit it on fire, and then poured it back and forth.
- 8:16SPEAKER_02: And it was like a four-minute affair.
- 8:18SPEAKER_02: Pour liquid brandy all over my ice cream, handed it to me.
- 8:23SPEAKER_02: While they cheered.
- 8:24SPEAKER_02: Why they cheered.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: I don't mean it.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: And all the while dolls texting me, hey, I really need your input on the situation.
- 8:31SPEAKER_02: I do not, I do not care about what you're doing.
- 8:33SPEAKER_01: You're like my waitress is doing back hand springs across my table.
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: My dish is on fire.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: My dish is on fire.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: Where's my chocolate lava cake?
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: Like, that's just a lot.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: Bring back just a a hot chocolate lava cake.
- 8:43SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 8:43SPEAKER_02: No.
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: They had like rice pudding.
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: What else did they have here?
- 8:47SPEAKER_02: Uh a figgy pudding.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: Wait, that's a real thing.
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: A bread.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: A figgy pudding is real.
- 8:53SPEAKER_02: Figgy pudding.
- 8:54SPEAKER_02: Um, rice pudding with cinnamon.
- 8:57SPEAKER_01: Um I thought that was like a Christmas cartoon thing.
- 9:01SPEAKER_02: Bread soaked in evaporated milk with uh raisins and almonds.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'll say this.
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: Don't put a raisin in my dessert.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: No.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: Leave the raisins out.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: But bring us a figgy pudding.
- 9:09SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: They sing a Christmas, they sing a Christmas carol.
- 9:14SPEAKER_02: Bring me some figgy pudding.
- 9:15SPEAKER_02: And of all those options, of course, like tempura ice cream gonna let them talk me into it.
- 9:19SPEAKER_02: I was like, okay, deep fried ice cream.
- 9:21SPEAKER_02: Like, okay, that's fine.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: Also, I kind of hate that song.
- 9:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: Bring us a figgy pudding.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: I always lie to you and say it's figgy pudding.
- 9:27SPEAKER_02: I don't think it's figgy pudding.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: What?
- 9:29SPEAKER_02: The car Christmas carol that I always sing you.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: Bring us a figgy pudding.
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: That's the song.
- 9:37SPEAKER_02: For a decade, I made it up.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: That Lauren, you did not originate that song.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: You're acting like wait, wait, oh my god, I'm gonna cry.
- 9:45SPEAKER_01: You think that you told me about that song?
- 9:47SPEAKER_02: No, I I introduced you to that song.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: Lauren.
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: You're acting like I haven't lived in the side.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: I remixed it.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: I remixed it for you.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: Bring us a figgy pudding and lots of good cheer.
- 9:56SPEAKER_02: No.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: Bring us a figgy pudding.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: Okay, whatever.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: Like, okay, who do you think you are?
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: Chris Kringle?
- 10:01SPEAKER_01: Alright, well, reread your text.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: You think you invented Chris?
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: You think you invented figgy pudding?
- 10:06SPEAKER_02: Okay, whatever.
- 10:06SPEAKER_02: Anyway, I I really thought I remixed it with time and I'm not sure.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: Like, she invented figgy pudding.
- 10:15SPEAKER_02: Uh anyway, that was so frustrating that night because I literally had to like all caps text you, like, I don't care what you're talking about right now, uh, because my sister's on fire.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: Then next day, okay, I go to sleep.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: I wake up, and this is just a message to all to read the fine print.
- 10:31SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 10:32SPEAKER_02: And uh I forgot to mention, after dinner, I love like getting a deal.
- 10:36SPEAKER_02: And so when we went for ice cream, like I saw this little excursion place.
- 10:40SPEAKER_02: By the way, Dom, in a different life, you and I would be leading an excursion.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: Maybe.
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: No, you you say maybe.
- 10:51SPEAKER_02: The entire time I was like, that's Dom, and that's me.
- 10:55SPEAKER_02: There was someone with the mic.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say, All I want is the head mic.
- 10:58SPEAKER_02: No, you will have the head mic.
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: You you were like Miss Ungermeyer.
- 11:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:02SPEAKER_02: Like you have the head mic, and yeah.
- 11:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: Brown knows her with a hidden agenda.
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: Anyway, it was perfect.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: Anyway, so that night I I got um an excursion package for three days at a fourth of the cost.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: I was super excited, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 11:16SPEAKER_02: Went to bed.
- 11:17SPEAKER_02: But you're supposed to read the fine print.
- 11:19SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: Woke up, ran.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: Never in my life have I read a fine print.
- 11:23SPEAKER_02: Okay, but I should have, okay?
- 11:25SPEAKER_02: I get on this bus for the excursion dom.
- 11:29SPEAKER_02: I asked the driver, I was like, oh.
- 11:31SPEAKER_02: I was just like, oh yeah, um, the pyramid, Chichenitsa.
- 11:34SPEAKER_02: I was like, okay, it's like 45 minutes.
- 11:37SPEAKER_02: Um, he's like, oh, I don't know.
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: I sit down, you with the head mic comes out all excited, okay?
- 11:45SPEAKER_02: Says, all right, get tight for a three-hour bus ride to Chitsinica.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: Oh, uh I would have gone off.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: Dom, the business.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: I would have gone off.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 11:57SPEAKER_02: No, the bus was moving.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: I would have said, I don't even need a refund, like I'll pay you more than give me off.
- 12:02SPEAKER_02: Dom, the bus was moving.
- 12:03SPEAKER_02: And and why they announced the time.
- 12:05SPEAKER_01: My car sickness.
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: When why they announced the time five minutes into the drive, I don't know.
- 12:10SPEAKER_02: Um, but it was also on me to read five rent.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: Three hours there and three hours back?
- 12:14SPEAKER_02: Three hours, yes.
- 12:15SPEAKER_02: That yeah.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: If you wanted to take a plane back.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: If you wanted to go to another, I don't know if it was three hours total, like an an hour and a half to an hour and a half back.
- 12:24SPEAKER_02: No, no, no.
- 12:25SPEAKER_02: Three hours in one direction.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: It was insane.
- 12:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: I okay Wow, I wow.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: Like I I would have had to like in that morning, I will say that a whole day.
- 12:39SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 12:39SPEAKER_02: This is the worst thing.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: And most insane part is like, I was like, thank you, Lord, for my discernment.
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: Because that morning, as I was like preparing, like it was such an early start.
- 12:51SPEAKER_02: I saw this dramamine bottle and I was just like, uh, it's a 45-minute bus ride.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm gonna try to like broaden my capacity, whatever.
- 12:59SPEAKER_02: I literally left it, I was like about to leave it on the counter, and there's a voice inside that was just like, grab it for fun.
- 13:04SPEAKER_02: I don't know why my brain said like for fun.
- 13:06SPEAKER_02: Like you can like jingle the carton.
- 13:08SPEAKER_02: I thought I could like jingle the remaining three pills and like make it a fidget.
- 13:12SPEAKER_02: Thank God I I brought it.
- 13:14unknown: Okay.
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: I would be chopping it up and snorting it.
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: Three hours on a bus.
- 13:20SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 13:21SPEAKER_02: That is just the that is just the start, okay.
- 13:24SPEAKER_02: So now we are about um two hours in, okay.
- 13:29SPEAKER_02: And there's moments in life that I thank the Lord, because like I've had some embarrassing moments.
- 13:33SPEAKER_02: Like I've had my plane story, like when they like embarrassed me in front of the whole plane, like all of that, right?
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: Like the uh to Chicago with the throwing up and all of that.
- 13:44SPEAKER_02: I I was able to on that trip, I was able to heal from that Chicago embarrassing story from what happened on this bus.
- 13:55SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: I was sitting, relaxing, chilling, okay?
- 13:59SPEAKER_02: All of a sudden, I 10 passengers from the back of the bus all stand up and they're just like causing a commotion.
- 14:08SPEAKER_02: Okay, causing a commotion, right?
- 14:11SPEAKER_02: And I was just like, oh, what's going on?
- 14:13SPEAKER_02: What's going on?
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: And they're speaking um in Spanish to each other at the front of the bus.
- 14:17SPEAKER_02: They're like getting spray bottles.
- 14:18SPEAKER_02: So I was like, oh my gosh, someone threw up, like I'm disgusted, like whatever.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: And this is one of those big basketball buses.
- 14:23SPEAKER_02: If you've traveled, you know what I mean?
- 14:26SPEAKER_02: Like, whatever.
- 14:27SPEAKER_02: Um what happened was, okay, there was a man in the bathroom blowing up the bathroom.
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: The guy on the headset mic says, Oh no, sir, get out, get out.
- 14:45SPEAKER_02: That's for pee, not for shit.
- 14:48SPEAKER_02: Screams at the back of the bus for him to get out.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: Ten people at the back of the bus standing around, plugging their noses, complaining.
- 14:57SPEAKER_02: They they complained to the driver and to the announcer that someone was using the bathroom on the on the bus.
- 15:06SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: If I was that man and I got on this bus phone, I had to go three hours, and then I decide to go to the restroom.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: And it probably, you know, it probably took him so much courage to be like, I am gonna end up using the restroom on this bus.
- 15:17SPEAKER_02: No, I mean he does that.
- 15:19SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 15:20SPEAKER_02: So I'm he rest in peace.
- 15:22SPEAKER_02: I look back, make you rest in peace.
- 15:24SPEAKER_02: He stays in there for another five minutes, and I would too.
- 15:27SPEAKER_02: I would be like, how do I get out?
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: I would too.
- 15:29SPEAKER_02: I would be I would be there for the the remainder hour.
- 15:31SPEAKER_02: I wouldn't get out.
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: I wouldn't want to.
- 15:34SPEAKER_02: No, exactly.
- 15:35SPEAKER_02: So then it was just like the walk of shame.
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: He comes out, okay?
- 15:40SPEAKER_02: But something was different about him.
- 15:43SPEAKER_02: He comes out with his head held high, just smiling, jolly gr like it literally picture like fat Albert.
- 15:51SPEAKER_02: It was literally Fat Albert.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: Have you ever seen that movie?
- 15:53SPEAKER_02: And he walks down, sits down.
- 15:55SPEAKER_02: He sits down next to the friend I made, Michelle.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: That was Michelle's like travel friend, like boyfriend, whatever.
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: She, okay, cool.
- 16:09SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 16:10SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 16:10SPEAKER_02: The story continues.
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: No, and I'm listening.
- 16:13SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 16:14SPEAKER_02: So I'm sitting there and everyone on the bus is kind of like looking around.
- 16:18SPEAKER_02: And I honestly did not want to make him uncomfortable because it's like, if that's gonna be the thing, everyone's gonna snicker to each other.
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: Stinky.
- 16:25SPEAKER_02: Like ha like literally.
- 16:26SPEAKER_02: I wasn't gonna make fun of him.
- 16:27SPEAKER_02: Of course, me and Christopher were like, oh my gosh, like that's hilarious.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: I turned around, I said, I'm Lauren.
- 16:33SPEAKER_02: He's like, we I introduced him, I sought him out, and I became his friend for the day.
- 16:37SPEAKER_02: Because I'm just like the pride to come down, just you know what I'm saying, sit down and not be care bothered, whatever.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: And be a jolly good fella.
- 16:44SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 16:45SPEAKER_02: I spent the day with him, I spent the day with Michelle, we had the best day, whatever.
- 16:49SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 16:51SPEAKER_02: And I um I knew things, I don't want to spill the tea here.
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: Okay, I that's why I didn't name him.
- 16:58SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: Um, anyway, I knew that they were like going on this trip to see if they could work out.
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: Like this was the trip of like they were long distance friends, okay, and they came to this trip to see if they were compatible.
- 17:14SPEAKER_02: And by the end of the trip, I like took her to lunch.
- 17:17SPEAKER_02: I was like, okay, well, how did how did the trip go with him?
- 17:20SPEAKER_02: And she said that because of that bathroom story and her waking up from her slumber to someone yelling, it's not built for shit, it's built for pee.
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: And him walking out without a bother and sitting next to her.
- 17:35SPEAKER_01: It was raps.
- 17:36SPEAKER_02: It was raps.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:38SPEAKER_02: And she ended it.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: No, I went.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: And blocked him.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: I yeah.
- 17:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:42SPEAKER_02: Would you do the same?
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: Well, also imagine like getting told you have to be on a bus for three hours.
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: That happening to you, and not only that, but it's happening to you while you're on the bus with the person you're trying to see if it works out with.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: Like that was just the first, yeah.
- 17:54SPEAKER_02: I mean, did she and then she kept looking for things the whole week.
- 17:57SPEAKER_02: I mean that just put her off.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: You probably was going to the bathroom every every establishment they went to, which I see him in that way.
- 18:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I'm just saying, like, but living.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: But it's just like, imagine, like her from her point of view, waking up, sitting next to him, and then she said she was shrinking of embarrassment and whatever.
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: I'm so glad I made friends with her and saw her from the in the I'm glad they're not together anymore.
- 18:19SPEAKER_02: But that was pretty for him.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, imagine somebody being like, so why didn't it work out with her?
- 18:23SPEAKER_01: And he's like, Well, I blew up the bus.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: I went to the bathroom on a bus.
- 18:27SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, I would get so sick on that bus.
- 18:30SPEAKER_01: I made a personal vow to myself a few weeks ago that I will never be in the passenger seat or the back seat of a car ever again.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: Oh, really?
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because like why would I have to?
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: Unless if I'm at a unless if I'm like unless if I'm Ubering or something, I sit in the front.
- 18:50SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: Just no matter what.
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: Like if I'm with friends and stuff, it's like I'll drive the car or I'll drive myself.
- 18:56SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 18:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 18:58SPEAKER_02: I'm just like not in an entitled way, but in a way of.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: It is not an entitled way, y'all.
- 19:01SPEAKER_02: If I it's like, I was just like, okay, for forever have the shotgun.
- 19:05SPEAKER_02: I was like, not with me in the car, though.
- 19:07SPEAKER_02: But you're driving.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: I'm literally driving your car.
- 19:09SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: Um, because if I'm in the car for 20 minutes, not in the driver's seat, like my day is ruined.
- 19:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: Like I am so nauseous.
- 19:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 19:17SPEAKER_02: You need a lot of things to be opened.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: My day is like done.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: Like my day is like completely done.
- 19:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: Is nausea does Vivance help nausea?
- 19:26SPEAKER_02: Um, it causes it, I think.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: Well, I think maybe it'll counteract because you're already so nauseous.
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: Maybe it'll like counteract.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 19:34SPEAKER_01: Lauren thinks I have ADHD, everyone.
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: That's what I said first or second episode is pending your diagnosis, and it's only, you know, gotten to us to this point.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: No, it's only gotten worse.
- 19:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I didn't want to say that.
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: Oh, you can say that.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: Okay, let's get into our truth serums.
- 19:49SPEAKER_01: Our truth serums are just things that we want to get off our chest to give you about literally anything.
- 19:53SPEAKER_02: Let me sub you right here.
- 19:54SPEAKER_02: Is this can we dissect any part of that text to get it off your mind?
- 19:58SPEAKER_02: Is anything bothering you in that?
- 19:59SPEAKER_01: I am not dissecting a personal text that made me mad on a podcast.
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: I know, but I can feel it.
- 20:05SPEAKER_02: Like I can feel it in my bosoms.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: What's unfortunate is I actually completely forgot about it, so you just brought it up.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: So thanks.
- 20:12SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 20:12SPEAKER_01: My truth serum is this.
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh hell.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: My truth serum is this.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: Don't bring up something to your friend after they moved on.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, that's right.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: You better honk, Aaron King.
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: There's nothing better than making him honk.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: Like making him laugh.
- 20:33SPEAKER_02: No, it is the best.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: Okay, my truth serum is this.
- 20:37SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: There are things I've been traveling a lot this summer.
- 20:40SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: A lot.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: Like, I think I've been gone more than I've been here.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: Which is a little over it, by the way.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: But that has caused this truth serum.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: There are things that should be illegal to do on a plane.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: And I made a list.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: One.
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: Opening your window when every other window on the plane is closed.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: Yesterday I'm on this flight back to Tulsa.
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: Every plane, every hey.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: Was it a sunrise flight?
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: No.
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: I just made that up.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: It's 3 p.m.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: Every, I don't know why everybody on the plane just like knew.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: Like, let's all like close our eyes a little bit.
- 21:12SPEAKER_02: At 3 p.m.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: Don't dissect it too much.
- 21:15SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: Um, hairs being split left and right.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: I know, but I'm just like all the windows are closed.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: It was dark, it was chill, like it wasn't hot.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: Like the AC was working good.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: I was just like, thank God.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: This woman wants to open her open her window bottom to top, like fully open.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: And I'm literally like this.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: I'm sitting like this because I'm already so like nauseous.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: Having this light beaming onto me on one side, I literally was cross eyed.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: Like I was I was like, whoa.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: Like this.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: I'm sitting like this the whole flight with my my hand because I'm in the middle seat on this flight.
- 21:50SPEAKER_02: Did you ask her to put it down?
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: No.
- 21:52SPEAKER_02: Okay, you should have.
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: I didn't because there's a reason why I didn't.
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, what?
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: She did you not think about it?
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: No.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: She was wearing a mask.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: Which is not a good thing.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: I'm okay.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: Which I honestly I think we I get it.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: I think we all should.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: But I was just like, she does what she wants.
- 22:11SPEAKER_02: That's true.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 22:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: So.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: And it wasn't like she had some, like she was taking it off to like talk to like a few times to talk to me or like to talk to the attendant.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: So I'm saying that to say that I don't think that she was like, I don't know what her reasoning was.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: Also to say, I'm just like, she does what she wants.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she's in her own world.
- 22:30SPEAKER_02: You didn't want to want to mess with the feng shui.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: So that hate that.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: When she got off the plane, she should have been arrested.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: Um cracking open a heated ramen with egg.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: Um I was on a flight, and the person at the aisle across like next to me opened up a heated ramen with eggs, like egg in it.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: A like a cup ramen?
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: No, like a he got ramen like at a at a at a restaurant at the airport, brought it onto the plane, cracked it open.
- 22:58SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 22:58SPEAKER_02: Amazing.
- 22:59SPEAKER_02: I thought you were saying he made top ramen and just had eggs in his pocket.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: No, like it it stunk.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: Like no.
- 23:06SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: Um, watching what's on my screen with me.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: One time I was on a flight, and the person next to me, like the whole time, is watching my like movie with, and I literally was like, Can you back?
- 23:17SPEAKER_01: I literally was like, um, it's it's on your screen as well.
- 23:20SPEAKER_01: Like you can look it up too.
- 23:21SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, but they wanted to watch yours.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: It made me feel like, like, first of all, I don't know what you think this is.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:27SPEAKER_01: But that this is not what you think it is.
- 23:29SPEAKER_01: Two, it made me feel this like my top hat was on and my cane, to like if something funny happened and be like, isn't that funny, friend?
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: Like, see, did that not make you feel closer to them?
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: I don't want to be close to them.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: Um, the next one, not to say a curse word, but farting.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: Um if you fart on a plane, like I can't express enough how imprisoned you should be.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: Like you are a danger to society, you shouldn't be out and about.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: No, thank you.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: Um, the next one's smelling bad.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: Oh, because you fart on the plane.
- 24:01SPEAKER_01: That's not personal to you.
- 24:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 24:02SPEAKER_02: Okay, thank you for bringing it back to my remembrance.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: Well, you're the one who you huff you exhaled heavily and said like thank you, like it was a towards you or something.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: Oh no.
- 24:09SPEAKER_02: I was just listening.
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: Next one's smelling bad.
- 24:11SPEAKER_01: Like, literally, they should have speran doodle at the door.
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: Um, next, practicing your stand-up routine during the safety measures opening monologue.
- 24:17SPEAKER_01: You've talked about that.
- 24:18SPEAKER_01: I hate that.
- 24:19SPEAKER_01: Like, tell me how to put the seatbelt on where the where the flotation devices call it a day.
- 24:24SPEAKER_01: Not taking the verbal yes of an emergency aisle seat seriously.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: You know how when you're in the emergency seat and they say I need a verbal yes?
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry, if I'm in the seat, it is a tent hut.
- 24:35SPEAKER_02: Yep, no, absolutely.
- 24:37SPEAKER_02: No, absolutely.
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: Like I I I I it's opening it up and reading.
- 24:43SPEAKER_02: Like, no, like you're a part of the team.
- 24:45SPEAKER_02: You're a part of the crew.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: When I'm back there and I see that they're not taking it seriously, I'm like, there's a chance that all of our lives are in your hands.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: Man, and and I didn't understand the magnitude until this moment.
- 24:56SPEAKER_02: Oh, I'm usually asleep before the it takes off.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: No, you have to have a verbal yes to even legally sit then.
- 25:01SPEAKER_01: You have to be at least 15 years old.
- 25:02SPEAKER_02: Wait, are you serious?
- 25:03SPEAKER_01: You have to verbally, yeah.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: You didn't you know this.
- 25:05SPEAKER_02: Like, I do?
- 25:06SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: I don't know why I'm telling you what you know.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: Next, um, being mean to a flight attendant.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: Like I hate that.
- 25:13SPEAKER_02: We can't stand when people are mean to like in front of us to anyone.
- 25:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:17SPEAKER_02: Like that isn't not not trying to be all cute, but like if it especially to a waiter, right?
- 25:21SPEAKER_02: We can't.
- 25:22SPEAKER_02: It changes the whole dinner.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: Next, being a mean flight attendant.
- 25:25SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 25:26SPEAKER_01: Hate that.
- 25:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:27SPEAKER_01: Like your job, like I I have so much flight anxiety that like I'm looking for at you for comfort.
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: And I need, and I need you to like like to be a safe place.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 25:38SPEAKER_01: Next one communicating normal turbulence too aggressively over the intercom.
- 25:43SPEAKER_01: There was this guy, I think it was his I think it was his first time using the intercom.
- 25:47SPEAKER_01: And he goes, He like does it so loud, like I flinched, and he goes, The turbulence is about to get real bad.
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: Make sure you sit down and put on your seatbelt.
- 25:57SPEAKER_02: And like, they did that to me the other day and the turbulence knocked me to and fro.
- 26:01SPEAKER_01: But I literally was like, You gotta communicate a little more peacefully.
- 26:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:05SPEAKER_01: Like you literally just communicate like we're going down.
- 26:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 26:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: I need you to communicate a little more soft.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: No, absolutely.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: So if you do any of those things, you just go to jail.
- 26:15SPEAKER_02: My true serum is plain and simple, is it's time for Alani to go global.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: Are they not global?
- 26:23SPEAKER_02: No, I looked up, they're just I mean most the United States and then I feel like I don't know.
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: Like Canada or something?
- 26:29SPEAKER_02: Maybe is something.
- 26:31SPEAKER_02: Anyway, but in your whole Italy trip, my whole Mexico trip, we were literally sugar-free Red Bull.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: Not an Alani in sight.
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's not.
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: Not a Celsius in sight.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: At all.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: It is a Red Bull or a White Um Monster Zero.
- 26:43SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: Which the white Monster Zero is low-key kind of, it's kind of tea.
- 26:46SPEAKER_02: Okay, I was looking at it the other day at the grab and go and I missed it.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: It's not bad.
- 26:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's not bad.
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: But I got so Red Bullled out.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: I literally was like, I'm gonna throw up.
- 26:55SPEAKER_02: No, I was sick.
- 26:56SPEAKER_01: But if I don't have that like amount of caffeine, like I literally get a headache.
- 26:59SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 26:59SPEAKER_01: Okay, we're gonna go through our weekly doses, which is we bring we both bring pop culture headlines that are important to us.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: I'll go first.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: So my first one, we're gonna do a VMA's recap.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: So one thing about me, I love an award show.
- 27:11SPEAKER_01: I like if it's the VMAs, the billboards, Grammys, like what like I am like so, like I'm sad.
- 27:17SPEAKER_01: Like I like invite everyone over.
- 27:19SPEAKER_01: Let's all watch it together.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: It's a family.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: Um I will say kind of a snooze, low-key.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: Madonna absolutely dominated the night.
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: So that's the first thing.
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna say what I'm about to say.
- 27:35SPEAKER_02: No, burn the toes with this.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: No, because only because I'm gonna be famous one day.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: So Madonna absolutely dominated the night.
- 27:43SPEAKER_02: Can I say it for us?
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: Sure.
- 27:46SPEAKER_02: Um, I are you just tired of Madonna?
- 27:49SPEAKER_01: Oh, the hottest takes are about to come out of my mouth.
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: I am too the icons of the music industry, of course, Michael Jackson, of course, Madonna.
- 28:01SPEAKER_01: Of like, of course, Madonna.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: Like I get it, like I understand.
- 28:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: In my lifetime, what I have seen of Madonna, I'm like, I will always rather it like Lady Gaga is like better.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: Like, yeah, but again, Madonna was probably the first to do it.
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: So I get it, but it's like in my lifetime, it's like I don't really see it.
- 28:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: And like when she talks and stuff, like I just don't, I do not connect with her.
- 28:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: And I understand that.
- 28:31SPEAKER_02: And I think because I watched this on um Jess Trish.
- 28:35SPEAKER_02: I was watching this the other day, and like Oscar was really breaking it down well because Trish also was like, I don't get Madonna.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: Like it just like you said that?
- 28:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: I felt so.
- 28:43SPEAKER_02: Loosen your reins.
- 28:44SPEAKER_02: That's what I'm saying.
- 28:44SPEAKER_02: Loosen your reins on it because like she does not get Madonna at all.
- 28:48SPEAKER_02: I respect what she's done.
- 28:49SPEAKER_02: Oscar understood.
- 28:50SPEAKER_02: He was just saying that, like, since she was the first to do it, and then she had that little moment where she was like playfully calling out Sabrina Carpenter of being like, Yeah, you took five days to get back to her.
- 29:00SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, that was funny.
- 29:00SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: That was like the first endearing moment I've seen.
- 29:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so it's one of those things that I don't get it either, but I think it's just not in my time.
- 29:09SPEAKER_02: Like it's just not, yeah, it's not in my time.
- 29:11SPEAKER_01: But people like Charlie XXX and Troy and all these people like love her.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I wish I could, I want to feel that way towards her.
- 29:17SPEAKER_01: I think I do.
- 29:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: And again, I respect what she's done for we wouldn't have we probably wouldn't have the Lady Gaga's and the Charlies and whatever if it wasn't for Madonna.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: And I get that.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: I drew it.
- 29:28SPEAKER_02: She just did all of the crazy things first and broke all of that.
- 29:31SPEAKER_02: I think she had a table book.
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: And for that, I hold a space for her.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: Like I do.
- 29:36SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 29:36SPEAKER_02: She's just not our girl.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: Taylor Smith became the most awarded artist in VMA history, and she also premiered her music video for Patience Zero.
- 29:44SPEAKER_02: You see, people were mad at her that I think she was because of Cortis or something.
- 29:48SPEAKER_02: I didn't even know who Cortis was.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: Quortis.
- 29:49SPEAKER_02: It's a big thing online.
- 29:50SPEAKER_02: They're like, Cortis should have won.
- 29:52SPEAKER_02: That was like new name.
- 29:54SPEAKER_02: For which thing?
- 29:54SPEAKER_02: Uh music video of the something.
- 29:57SPEAKER_01: There's a lot of names I don't know about these days.
- 29:58SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, am I like reaching old?
- 30:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, probably.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, what I'm yeah.
- 30:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we need to keep informed.
- 30:04SPEAKER_01: Um low-key, I know she's getting so much hate, but like, like, I actually like Patient Zero.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: I'm not like the Swifty.
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: Like, I actually like it and I like the video.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: And also, it is kind of tea, like, so on the tombstone in the music video, it says like 1987 to like 2022 or something.
- 30:20SPEAKER_01: Scooter Braun's ex-wife was born that year and they got divorced that year.
- 30:24SPEAKER_01: In 2002?
- 30:24SPEAKER_02: Is it not is 2022 not the year she sold her masters?
- 30:28SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 30:29SPEAKER_01: They got divorced.
- 30:32SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 30:32SPEAKER_02: But I'm saying, is there okay?
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, it also could be that.
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: Either way, Scooter Bron.
- 30:37SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 30:37SPEAKER_02: I just feel like sometimes Taylor I'm not to hate on Taylor, but sometimes she likes to like let the fans like they will come up with her whole thing for her.
- 30:46SPEAKER_02: That's what I'm thinking.
- 30:47SPEAKER_02: Oh no, I get that.
- 30:48SPEAKER_02: She, these Easter eggs, it's like, oh my gosh, there was like a hidden Mickey behind her.
- 30:51SPEAKER_02: And like, you know what I'm saying?
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: She's dropping an album tomorrow.
- 30:54SPEAKER_02: Like they just I agree.
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: No, I agree.
- 30:56SPEAKER_01: Um, BTS took home Song of the Year for the song Swim.
- 31:00SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 31:01SPEAKER_01: Have you ever heard that in your life?
- 31:02SPEAKER_02: I haven't, but I think Lulie Reinhardt is was in the music video.
- 31:07SPEAKER_02: I was like kind of looking, she was like on a ship.
- 31:09SPEAKER_01: And I'm not saying that it's not I I haven't heard it.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying that it deserves something.
- 31:13SPEAKER_01: Song of the year, and I've never heard it.
- 31:16SPEAKER_02: But they are like the most poppin' thing ever.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, I agree.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: They're huge.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: Song of the year.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 31:21unknown: Yeah.
- 31:21SPEAKER_01: And then Dolly Porton, Dolly Porton.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: Dolly Parton got a tribute, which I've watched a thousand times.
- 31:26SPEAKER_02: The Casey Musk's.
- 31:27SPEAKER_01: I have watched it one thousand times.
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: Oh, I love that.
- 31:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:30SPEAKER_01: Okay, let's go to yours.
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 31:32SPEAKER_02: Jim Carrey married in a small ceremony on September 30th.
- 31:37SPEAKER_02: So this is fresh off the press news.
- 31:39SPEAKER_02: It's this um he married Min ah and they hard launched the relationship at the beginning of the year.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: Cute.
- 31:47SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 31:48SPEAKER_02: I know you don't really care about this story.
- 31:50SPEAKER_02: I no, but the thing is, is like why I wanted to talk about it is just like certain comedians, like, I don't know.
- 31:57SPEAKER_02: Just like imagine like being married and like trying to take him seriously.
- 32:00SPEAKER_02: Like, not that he makes me laugh, like ha ha funny, but it's just like getting married to him.
- 32:05SPEAKER_02: Does that make sense?
- 32:07SPEAKER_02: Put yourself in that boat.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, I don't know what he's like in real life.
- 32:10SPEAKER_02: Me either.
- 32:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 32:11SPEAKER_02: That's what I'm saying.
- 32:12SPEAKER_02: I'm just curious to know.
- 32:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:13SPEAKER_02: Anyway, so it was his first marriage, and I think he got uh it's his third marriage, but he hasn't been married in a while.
- 32:20SPEAKER_02: You really don't care about the story.
- 32:22SPEAKER_01: No, honestly.
- 32:22SPEAKER_02: And I really don't care about the VNAs.
- 32:24SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 32:25SPEAKER_01: But I'm trying, I'm trying, no, it's not that I don't care.
- 32:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't care, but um, it's more so like as you're talking, because this is a podcast, I'm as you're saying it, I go, okay, I need to find something to say about this.
- 32:38SPEAKER_01: So have you ever watched it?
- 32:39SPEAKER_01: At the end of the day, is I just don't have anything to say on it.
- 32:42SPEAKER_01: Like, I watch Ace Ventura and Dumb and Dumber.
- 32:46SPEAKER_02: They're just goofy praying for Ariana Grande today.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: She like loves Jim Carrey.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 32:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's like her favorite ever.
- 32:51SPEAKER_02: Does she want to marry him?
- 32:53SPEAKER_01: I don't know, maybe.
- 32:54SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah, she's not remorse.
- 32:56SPEAKER_02: Remorse.
- 32:57SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: I haven't asked her.
- 32:58SPEAKER_02: Anyway, so they may they married in a private.
- 33:02SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, he's she's just a very private woman, but she's an actress.
- 33:05SPEAKER_02: And so I'm you're gonna you're gonna like her.
- 33:07SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 33:08SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 33:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: I will never know about this moment.
- 33:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she's very private.
- 33:12SPEAKER_02: That's why she's an actress and an artist.
- 33:15SPEAKER_02: You want me to keep talking about it?
- 33:16SPEAKER_02: I would love to.
- 33:18SPEAKER_01: I want you to talk.
- 33:18SPEAKER_01: This is as equally your podcast as it is mine.
- 33:21SPEAKER_02: Yes, I know.
- 33:22SPEAKER_02: No, I'm happy for that.
- 33:22SPEAKER_02: I'll also say Jim Carrey growing up, um, there's just certain movies that just really formed me, certain movies, certain shows.
- 33:29SPEAKER_01: There's one Ace Ventura.
- 33:30SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 33:31SPEAKER_02: Me and my best friend Emerson, we would just watch it, and it was just so the thing is it's just like it was so random.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:36SPEAKER_02: Like that.
- 33:37SPEAKER_01: My mom loved Ace Ventura.
- 33:39SPEAKER_01: I feel like if there is a Jim Carrey movie that I watched, it was probably dumb and dumber.
- 33:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:44SPEAKER_02: Did you find that funny by any?
- 33:46SPEAKER_01: No.
- 33:47SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 33:47SPEAKER_02: There's just things that were so stupid that it like formed me.
- 33:50SPEAKER_02: It just wasn't like my thing.
- 33:51SPEAKER_02: That Napoleon Dynamite.
- 33:53SPEAKER_01: It's just like that.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: Like Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre are like the same movie to me.
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 33:59SPEAKER_01: Is that a hot take?
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: Can we end this podcast right now?
- 34:02SPEAKER_02: Um Napoleon Dynamite shaped me.
- 34:06SPEAKER_02: Like everything, everything in this life that you ever want to learn about life, you can learn from watching Napoleon Dynamite.
- 34:14SPEAKER_02: Like you have someone that's stuck in the past, whatever.
- 34:17SPEAKER_02: Um, I have a cousin that reminds me of it.
- 34:18SPEAKER_02: Uncle Rico.
- 34:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 34:20SPEAKER_02: Reminds me of my cousin.
- 34:21SPEAKER_02: Literally, just stuck in the past, like hating his current life in his 40s and 50s because he's thinking about what if my college career would have taken off.
- 34:30SPEAKER_02: I'm like, babe, put down the football.
- 34:32SPEAKER_02: So it's just like there's so much you can learn.
- 34:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and like putting tater tots in your pocket.
- 34:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that that just yeah, that just taught us a lot about being authentic yourself.
- 34:42SPEAKER_02: What's yours?
- 34:43SPEAKER_01: Melania Judice's family speaks out after a viral airport incident.
- 34:46SPEAKER_01: Teresa Judice's daughter is receiving professional care after a tense confrontation at a Florida airport.
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: So I don't know if you saw this video, but um, how did you see it?
- 34:54SPEAKER_01: Because you no, I know you saw it.
- 34:55SPEAKER_01: I was talking to you as in them.
- 34:57SPEAKER_01: Um, how did you why do you care about this?
- 35:00SPEAKER_01: Or not care about how do you know about this?
- 35:01SPEAKER_01: Because you're not a Bravo person.
- 35:03SPEAKER_01: I'm not so when you told me you were aware of it, I was shocked.
- 35:05SPEAKER_02: I'm not a Bravo person, but I have a phone.
- 35:07SPEAKER_02: Um everywhere.
- 35:10SPEAKER_02: It's next.
- 35:11SPEAKER_01: Okay, so it's broken, it's broken the wall of Bravo.
- 35:13SPEAKER_02: I do really love um Gia Judais.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: I love Gia.
- 35:17SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 35:18SPEAKER_02: And I did we already talk about that.
- 35:19SPEAKER_02: You went to like a Christmas party and saw her when you were a kid.
- 35:23SPEAKER_01: Oh, I mean, yeah.
- 35:24SPEAKER_01: Growing up, there was like a something I went to for Thanksgiving.
- 35:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the Joy Z.
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: But yeah, Teresa has four daughters, is how she says it.
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: Her daughters, and I love daughters.
- 35:33SPEAKER_01: Like this video was posted where it was just like her Teresa being like, We love you.
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to save your life, I'm trying to save your life.
- 35:37SPEAKER_01: And then her daughter Melania, who I literally have watched grow up on TV.
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: Um, have you ever heard Waking Up in the thinking about so many things?
- 35:45SPEAKER_01: Was that Gia?
- 35:46SPEAKER_01: That was Gia, her oldest sister.
- 35:48SPEAKER_01: Um, but if they found fentanyl in her system, really?
- 35:52SPEAKER_02: So she was she was saying she was laced.
- 35:54SPEAKER_01: She was laced.
- 35:55SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 35:55SPEAKER_01: But she also just lost her, her best friend just died.
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: Yes, I saw that.
- 35:59SPEAKER_02: There's a lot of factors and like so a lot of things going on.
- 36:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then that house, it's just like I don't ever really know what's going on.
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: But anyway, it is just sad.
- 36:07SPEAKER_02: I just like people just need to have more grace on the situation because they're really going in on it, and it's obvious that someone that's going through a hard time is.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: It is a child.
- 36:15SPEAKER_02: It is a child, essentially.
- 36:17SPEAKER_02: And it is sad just being like Gia being like, okay, I care about you, like, you know.
- 36:22SPEAKER_01: Um Gia to turn out the way that she did and the life that she had is pretty astounding.
- 36:26SPEAKER_02: I just didn't see her growing up like on the show.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: She has so she has every Gia has every reason on paper to be a crazy person.
- 36:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:35SPEAKER_01: And she is not.
- 36:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she's amazing.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:39SPEAKER_01: She reminds me a lot of me.
- 36:40SPEAKER_01: I see a lot of myself and her.
- 36:42SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 36:42SPEAKER_01: Okay, it was yours?
- 36:43SPEAKER_01: Now her last one.
- 36:45SPEAKER_02: My last one is Jeff Lewis.
- 36:48SPEAKER_02: You know Jeff Lewis.
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: Love Jeff Lewis.
- 36:49SPEAKER_02: Jeff Lewis calls out Andy Cohen and calls him cheap for his rate of what he was paying a babysitter.
- 36:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:57SPEAKER_01: One thing about Jeff Lewis, he's gonna be at Andy's neck at all times.
- 37:00SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 37:01SPEAKER_02: And I put a little context here for people that don't know Jeff Lewis.
- 37:06SPEAKER_02: Um, he's an interior designer.
- 37:08SPEAKER_01: So if you ever there's a show called Flipping Out, that was on Bravo a long time ago.
- 37:12SPEAKER_02: And then obviously Andy Cohen is Head of Bravo.
- 37:16SPEAKER_02: Head of Bravo, and they're best friends of like 20 years.
- 37:20SPEAKER_01: Did they announce they worked together?
- 37:21SPEAKER_01: Did they say how much he was paying?
- 37:23SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 37:24SPEAKER_02: So that it sparked the reason I'm bringing it up is it sparked a national debate on rate of paying your like people that work for you.
- 37:31SPEAKER_02: And as someone who's been a nanny for like 13 years, like I kind of saw he was paying her 30 an hour, which the rates in New York, like that, that's where Andy lives, right?
- 37:42SPEAKER_02: Um, like the the averages is between like 26 and 29 dollars.
- 37:48SPEAKER_02: And this was a 23-year-old, like family friends, like daughter.
- 37:53SPEAKER_02: And so people online, they're like, Jeff Lewis was like, oh my gosh, like you're you've got Andy Cohen money, like this, this, this.
- 38:01SPEAKER_02: But a lot of the times, like it just starts, it just sparked a huge conversation.
- 38:05SPEAKER_02: That's interesting because I guess.
- 38:07SPEAKER_02: I think 30 an hour is reasonable, very reasonable.
- 38:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I would think that he's paying them like a thousand dollars a night.
- 38:12SPEAKER_01: Like, that's just like really, yeah.
- 38:14SPEAKER_02: Well, the thing is is like I'm I've always worked for very high profile families, and I will set my rates, but it's anywhere between like 25 and 35.
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: No, I'm not even 25 and 40.
- 38:26SPEAKER_01: I am not even saying that I think Andy Cohen is cheap because he's I don't think he's doing something wrong considering the rate.
- 38:32SPEAKER_01: I just thought because he's Andy Cohen that he would be giving them a lot more.
- 38:37SPEAKER_02: Yes, Jeff Lewis was poking fun, pretty much poking fun.
- 38:40SPEAKER_02: I hate that.
- 38:40SPEAKER_02: Um, but anyway, he was just saying, like, oh yeah, if it was me for two hours, I would have just like handed them a hundred dollars.
- 38:45SPEAKER_02: And it's like, yes, like of course.
- 38:47SPEAKER_02: But I think that like him saying it and making it a huge conversation.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: I just think it's funny, like little pop culture moments, like creating this huge spark.
- 38:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 38:56SPEAKER_02: So I'm just wondering what people think.
- 38:57SPEAKER_02: Like, do you think period?
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: Do I think do you think?
- 39:01SPEAKER_01: Do I think what?
- 39:02SPEAKER_02: I was like, So you think you don't think that he should have a set rate with people?
- 39:07SPEAKER_02: He should just be like, Oh, I'm ready to go.
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: No, he should have a set rate, but I feel like it's like an an undisclosed, like, you'll be getting at least this.
- 39:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:18SPEAKER_01: But like it's like it's exactly like Jeff Lewis said.
- 39:21SPEAKER_01: It's like if it's two hours and it's 60, like, give him 100.
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: And honestly, Andy probably does.
- 39:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:28SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't think there's a world where I feel like Andy would just be like, here's$100.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:33SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 39:34SPEAKER_02: But I think that well, he in that instance, he did just give her the set rate, and then that sparked just so much online that was just like, oh, he's cheap, he's broke, he's whatever.
- 39:42SPEAKER_02: People have been hazing him all week.
- 39:44SPEAKER_01: That's interesting.
- 39:44SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 39:45SPEAKER_01: I love Jeff Lewis.
- 39:46SPEAKER_01: I'm manifesting going on.
- 39:48SPEAKER_01: Um, Jeff Lewis has issues.
- 39:50SPEAKER_02: I will just say in 20 years, like, I don't want you poking fun at my life.
- 39:53SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 39:54SPEAKER_02: Like, we we can have a playful banter, but if you're like calling out like little things, either one of us that like sparks a huge conversation, I would hate that.
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 40:04SPEAKER_01: Period.
- 40:06SPEAKER_01: Let's get into our ICUs, which are ICUs are just things that we've been loving.
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: That we just want to say, I love that.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: And the context of the term ICU is we just love it so much, we've been beating it to death.
- 40:16SPEAKER_01: It's in the hospital.
- 40:17SPEAKER_01: It's dying.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: So mine is Swig, which I know is so Solic City, you taught me, and everyone's like, oh my gosh, he's becoming a Mormon.
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: No.
- 40:26SPEAKER_01: I also used to really make fun of people who cared about liking Swig.
- 40:29SPEAKER_01: Like I remember like when Swig opened up in Tulsa, every person who had something to say about it, I was like, Oh, the one thing you all have in common is I would never want to trade lives with you.
- 40:39SPEAKER_01: Like that was just something that I thought.
- 40:40SPEAKER_01: Everyone that drank swig that cared that oh no, no, not that drank swig.
- 40:44SPEAKER_01: Let me clarify.
- 40:45SPEAKER_01: Everybody who like really, really cared about the fact that Swig was coming to Tulsa.
- 40:49SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 40:50SPEAKER_01: I was like, You have nothing I want.
- 40:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 40:53SPEAKER_01: Um, and then now since going to Utah, like literally once a month, I'm like, I'm somebody who's like carrying like the true lime in my bag.
- 41:00SPEAKER_01: Like, and going to Swig and getting a Diet Texas tab, like if you've never been to Swig and you want to try something, because I also never knew what to do.
- 41:07SPEAKER_01: Like I would show up and be like, I don't know, like a Pepsi Zero with vanilla.
- 41:10SPEAKER_01: Like I didn't know.
- 41:11SPEAKER_02: Well, they're rushing to your car with an iPad with no menu in sight.
- 41:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 41:15SPEAKER_02: And I need a menu that I look at for 45 minutes.
- 41:17SPEAKER_01: Oh, also I hate when they do this.
- 41:18SPEAKER_01: Okay, so don't say your actual phone number, but I'm gonna pretend to be the worker and you be get.
- 41:22SPEAKER_01: Do you have a phone number with us?
- 41:24SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: All right, what's that number?
- 41:25SPEAKER_02: Uh 555-01252352.
- 41:31SPEAKER_01: 235.
- 41:33SPEAKER_02: Shout your name.
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: Relax.
- 41:35SPEAKER_01: Like quiet down, and it's always at a swig.
- 41:39SPEAKER_01: Like relax.
- 41:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 41:41SPEAKER_01: Like them, seven brew.
- 41:42SPEAKER_01: Like, okay.
- 41:43SPEAKER_01: Cheering your number?
- 41:43SPEAKER_01: Like, but not I don't care about the privacy.
- 41:45SPEAKER_01: It's just like I don't shh.
- 41:48SPEAKER_01: You're screaming at me.
- 41:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 41:49SPEAKER_01: They're just excited.
- 41:50SPEAKER_01: I'm blowing my car over.
- 41:52SPEAKER_01: No.
- 41:52SPEAKER_01: Um, but anyway, I like swig.
- 41:54SPEAKER_01: I like a drink there.
- 41:56SPEAKER_01: A Texas tap.
- 41:56SPEAKER_01: You got I got you a Texas tab once.
- 41:58SPEAKER_01: You said you liked it.
- 41:59SPEAKER_01: Lies?
- 41:59SPEAKER_02: No, it's not lies, but it's one of those drinks.
- 42:02SPEAKER_02: You know, when you drink a really like awful drink, you're like, wow, like this is great for the first two sips, and now I have a Route 44 of it, and then you're mad.
- 42:10SPEAKER_01: I I do.
- 42:12SPEAKER_01: I just think I found my order at Swig.
- 42:14SPEAKER_01: And I just encourage everybody to get your order at Swig.
- 42:15SPEAKER_01: And the fact that you can get a little pretzel bite, a little anti Ann's adjacent pretzel bite cup.
- 42:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 42:21SPEAKER_01: I just I like that.
- 42:22SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 42:22SPEAKER_01: So mine's Swig.
- 42:23SPEAKER_02: No, I'll have to try it again.
- 42:25SPEAKER_01: What's yours?
- 42:26SPEAKER_02: Mine is Annie Chang.
- 42:28SPEAKER_01: I love, I don't know why they're gonna say Annie Anne's.
- 42:31SPEAKER_02: Auntie Anne's.
- 42:32SPEAKER_01: Because I just said that.
- 42:33SPEAKER_01: But I love Annie.
- 42:34SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 42:35SPEAKER_02: My thing about that is so funny.
- 42:36SPEAKER_02: I met someone in Tulsa and they were like, oh, like, oh, you're the girl obsessed with Annie.
- 42:41SPEAKER_02: And I was just like, cute.
- 42:43SPEAKER_03: That's sweet.
- 42:43SPEAKER_02: Um, anyway, I just want to say, uh, Annie is a local, not even just a content creator.
- 42:48SPEAKER_02: Content creator is like the 10th thing on her list.
- 42:51SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 42:52SPEAKER_02: She um is a business owner, she has 10 trillion hobbies, the best at thrifting, genuinely posts the best content.
- 43:00SPEAKER_01: An advocate is an advocate a job title?
- 43:03SPEAKER_02: No, it has to be.
- 43:04SPEAKER_01: If if if being an advocate was a job, she she's director.
- 43:08SPEAKER_02: And she has a sub stack now, um, and everything.
- 43:12SPEAKER_02: And the thing about her is like you and I talk all the time about her.
- 43:15SPEAKER_02: She's just good at everything.
- 43:16SPEAKER_01: She's good at everything.
- 43:17SPEAKER_01: Like, I I've never met someone where it's like the there's there's a lot of there's a lot of things that we share in common, like just beliefs and opinions.
- 43:25SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 43:25SPEAKER_01: There's so many things interest-wise that I would have never thought I would care about, but I could watch her do anything.
- 43:33SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 43:34SPEAKER_01: She has, and the things that she's interested a lot, people are interested in.
- 43:38SPEAKER_01: It's just never been something that I it's never a lane that I was running in.
- 43:41SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 43:41SPEAKER_01: But she makes me want to run in it.
- 43:43SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 43:43SPEAKER_01: Like I she's just so magnetic and captivating.
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: Like, and she's authentically herself.
- 43:49SPEAKER_01: None of it is performative.
- 43:50SPEAKER_01: There are people who want to be Annie Chang.
- 43:52SPEAKER_02: That's the thing, is like she is the blueprint and she can put on whatever and she can go do whatever.
- 43:57SPEAKER_02: Like, she is just like, and everyone will follow her.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: She made like I never cared about the ballet before.
- 44:03SPEAKER_02: And not that I didn't care about it.
- 44:04SPEAKER_02: I didn't know about it.
- 44:05SPEAKER_02: I went to a ballet last year, and she just changed the way I view the ballet.
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: Annie Chang has Lauren Willard or going to a ballet.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: Like her impact.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: No, it's what I mean.
- 44:15SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 44:15SPEAKER_02: So that's it.
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: I love Annie.
- 44:17SPEAKER_02: I love Annie so much.
- 44:18SPEAKER_02: So go follow her.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: Go follow her.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: She should be very, very famous.
- 44:22SPEAKER_02: No, she's going to be our mayor one day.
- 44:24SPEAKER_01: Very, very Oh my gosh.
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: Wait.
- 44:26SPEAKER_01: A world where Annie Chang is mayor.
- 44:28SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 44:28SPEAKER_01: A world where Annie Chang is in any position of power.
- 44:31SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: Consider me there.
- 44:33SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: We're going to get into our We Need to Talk, which is our invite segment, which if you go to our Instagram and stuff, we have like new ways that you can submit.
- 44:41SPEAKER_01: Just like figure it out there.
- 44:42SPEAKER_01: Like we'll post about it.
- 44:43SPEAKER_01: Or you can just DM us and stuff.
- 44:45SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 44:46SPEAKER_01: Also, some of these are literally the dumbest thing I've ever seen.
- 44:49SPEAKER_01: Like, and I'm not going to read them.
- 44:51SPEAKER_01: Like, like, sorry.
- 44:53SPEAKER_01: Um, Tulsa is too small.
- 44:57SPEAKER_01: As social people yourselves, how do you manage seeing your ops everywhere?
- 45:01SPEAKER_01: Coming from a bigger city, I've never had to navigate constantly running into somebody who hurt me deeply at church or in social settings or in business settings.
- 45:08SPEAKER_01: There's literally no escaping.
- 45:09SPEAKER_01: How do you guys show up authentically and navigate running into people you don't favor or who don't favor you without letting it affect your energy or your experience?
- 45:18SPEAKER_01: I the reason I really relate to this person is I my whole life moved once a year.
- 45:25SPEAKER_01: So I never really had to be around anybody that I had any problems with because I would move.
- 45:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 45:32SPEAKER_01: So moving to Tulsa, I had a big learning curve my first year and two years because I actually had to stick around people that I that I did dirty.
- 45:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 45:39SPEAKER_01: You know, like when I was like 18, 19, 20.
- 45:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 45:42SPEAKER_01: Or people who did me dirty, whatever.
- 45:44SPEAKER_01: So I do understand, I will say this.
- 45:47SPEAKER_01: I the job that I was in just trains you to be around so many types of people.
- 45:53SPEAKER_01: And probably for you too, like being in the nonprofit world, like you just get so accustomed to um being around people, being around every type of person, whether they like you or not.
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: So to me, I'm kind of like every room I go in, I kind of I literally just don't think about it anymore.
- 46:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 46:11SPEAKER_01: I I I don't know.
- 46:12SPEAKER_02: I will say, I this happened to me.
- 46:15SPEAKER_02: I have one lifelong op, as she called it.
- 46:20SPEAKER_02: Um Do I know who it is?
- 46:22SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 46:23SPEAKER_01: Oh, really?
- 46:24SPEAKER_01: I guess I didn't know you felt that way about her.
- 46:26SPEAKER_02: Oh, you don't even know her.
- 46:28SPEAKER_01: No, but but we've talked about her.
- 46:29SPEAKER_01: I didn't know that that was.
- 46:30SPEAKER_02: Anyway, so I um ran into her.
- 46:33SPEAKER_01: You don't even know her.
- 46:34SPEAKER_01: I said, Do I know her?
- 46:34SPEAKER_01: She goes, Yes.
- 46:35SPEAKER_01: Whispers that you don't even know.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: Like, okay.
- 46:37SPEAKER_02: No, I was just saying.
- 46:38SPEAKER_02: Um, I will say I ran into her at Fastler like two years ago.
- 46:43SPEAKER_02: And I thought, like, you know, maybe after 14 years, like maybe it'd be fine.
- 46:49SPEAKER_02: Um, this taught me never to do this again.
- 46:51SPEAKER_02: I said, Oh my gosh, hi.
- 46:52SPEAKER_02: And I waited, and she looked at me in my face, rolled her eyes.
- 46:56SPEAKER_02: I did not know this.
- 46:57SPEAKER_02: Like, called her friend to be like, let's, let's, like, oh, I did not bounce girls.
- 47:01SPEAKER_02: Like, of snap, let's bounce girls, cheetah girls.
- 47:04SPEAKER_02: She literally did that.
- 47:05SPEAKER_02: And I have never been so mortified of someone literally making me feel like she looked past me.
- 47:09SPEAKER_02: She looked at me and then she like looked past me to let me know that, like, yeah, I know you you did me wrong at 14.
- 47:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I know we're not friends.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 47:19SPEAKER_02: Like, I was just like, 14 is crazy.
- 47:21SPEAKER_02: Anyway, but there are still people like that, and it's just one of those things you have to choose in that moment of like, am I going to let this person like they're at the end of the day, the person that's like holding on to this anger resentment, and they're weird.
- 47:33SPEAKER_02: Like, you don't even just kind of have to be like, okay, and not like give them an inch.
- 47:39SPEAKER_01: And not give them an inch.
- 47:40SPEAKER_02: Not don't even give them an inch.
- 47:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 47:42SPEAKER_01: Or they'll take that mile.
- 47:43SPEAKER_02: Because like I will take 10 miles.
- 47:45SPEAKER_01: Like, even like for us, like there's very few.
- 47:50SPEAKER_01: I will say in my time in Tulsa for the last 10 years, I have had a lot of ops.
- 47:54SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 47:55SPEAKER_01: Um, not not like from like real thing issues, though.
- 48:03SPEAKER_01: I would say there's very few people, like on one hand, that we could probably think right now that like we think maybe have like a problem with us or like don't like us or treat us weird, which but we literally just always like nice to everyone.
- 48:12SPEAKER_02: So yeah, we just closed bows on a lot of different things and yeah, tied bows.
- 48:17SPEAKER_02: I know I got to apologize to a Twitter beef like um a couple months ago, and I got to apologize to them.
- 48:24SPEAKER_02: I love that because we we had it was a rip.
- 48:26SPEAKER_01: I love that, yeah.
- 48:28SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, I I get what you're saying.
- 48:30SPEAKER_01: You kind of just gotta get over it, I guess.
- 48:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:33SPEAKER_01: Um party invite foul.
- 48:36SPEAKER_01: Okay, I need you guys to settle a party etiquette debate for me because I genuinely want to know what the rule is here.
- 48:41SPEAKER_01: My husband and I host a Halloween party every year, so this year we sent out a partyful invite to our friends and different groups of friends like normal.
- 48:48SPEAKER_01: I will say this if I'm friends with you, I didn't get an invite.
- 48:51SPEAKER_01: So work on that.
- 48:52SPEAKER_01: A week or two later, we were at a college football party with a group of people.
- 48:55SPEAKER_01: One of the guys we had invited to our Halloween party was across the room, and in front of everyone goes, Wait, can you send me the link to the Halloween party again?
- 49:02SPEAKER_01: The problem was not everyone in the room had been invited.
- 49:05SPEAKER_01: Obviously, we were not going to be like, Oh, let me send that to you, but not the rest of you guys.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: So we just played it off, sent the link, and ended up inviting the other people who were there too.
- 49:13SPEAKER_01: And honestly, we did not care that they were invited.
- 49:15SPEAKER_01: There are people we know and are happy to have them come.
- 49:17SPEAKER_01: It was more that suddenly we felt like we had to invite everyone because the party had been brought up in front of people who were not originally on the invite list.
- 49:25SPEAKER_01: You are trying to reach a word count here, and I do respect it.
- 49:28SPEAKER_01: So now I need to know: is this a party invite foul?
- 49:31SPEAKER_01: 1000%.
- 49:35SPEAKER_01: I am so picky and like in and um thought out with invite lists.
- 49:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:45SPEAKER_01: I've that's how my personality is.
- 49:46SPEAKER_02: Like birthday dinner, this is a seating chart.
- 49:48SPEAKER_01: Yes, your neighbor is coming to yours, your the neighborhood Walmart cashier.
- 49:51SPEAKER_01: So I don't know how you feel.
- 49:53SPEAKER_01: For me, I it is so specific with the invite list.
- 49:56SPEAKER_01: And honestly, I understand you're saying we don't care if they come.
- 49:59SPEAKER_01: No, if I didn't invite you, there's a reason.
- 50:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 50:01SPEAKER_01: So this is genuinely wrong.
- 50:03SPEAKER_01: And this is this is something that I call out like, hey, don't do that again, or I literally will not invite you.
- 50:07SPEAKER_01: Like that's how that's how serious I am with it.
- 50:10SPEAKER_01: Not like actually getting mad at them, just to clarify, but I like to be very clear of like, hey, like, don't do that again.
- 50:16SPEAKER_02: I mean, yeah, I'm just like the fact, like, why would you bring up a personal invite in front of people in general?
- 50:22SPEAKER_02: Like it just like that person's weird.
- 50:23SPEAKER_02: Is that well, not even as weird, they just need to learn.
- 50:26SPEAKER_02: Like, they just need to learn.
- 50:27SPEAKER_02: So you have to say something, but also to I wouldn't invite them either.
- 50:30SPEAKER_02: I just be like, oh, I'll send it to you later.
- 50:32SPEAKER_02: If people ask about it, most of the time they won't ask about it.
- 50:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 50:35SPEAKER_02: I wouldn't, would you?
- 50:36SPEAKER_01: Uh, not in front of people.
- 50:38SPEAKER_02: No, I would not be, I would be like, hey, what's that invite about?
- 50:40SPEAKER_02: Like, I wouldn't say that.
- 50:41SPEAKER_02: You would, but like, yeah.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 50:44SPEAKER_02: I'm not being bullied into it.
- 50:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 50:46SPEAKER_01: Oh, and also, yeah, I wouldn't invite everyone.
- 50:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 50:49SPEAKER_01: It's like, I'll talk to you about it later.
- 50:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 50:50SPEAKER_01: Am I getting pushed over by people?
- 50:52SPEAKER_01: I show up for everybody no matter what, no matter where or what is going on in my life.
- 50:56SPEAKER_01: And when there's something, hey, and when there's some sort of event for me, I feel like everybody always has an excuse and doesn't show up.
- 51:02SPEAKER_01: It feels like, oh, she's so understanding that she won't be mad if I can't make it.
- 51:06SPEAKER_01: But it happens with everything.
- 51:08SPEAKER_01: Am I being too easygoing as a friend?
- 51:10SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't say that it's being that you're being too easygoing.
- 51:13SPEAKER_01: I think you can continue to be the way that you are.
- 51:16SPEAKER_01: But I do think that if there is a if you are upset with somebody not showing up to something and you feel like somebody is not meeting you with the same amount of intentionality that you bring, you just need to voice it.
- 51:25SPEAKER_02: I mean, you need to voice it, but also too, back to the tears, T-I-E-R-S of friendship, like just adjust your expectations.
- 51:33SPEAKER_02: Because there's one of the things, like I remember I had a friend last year, you know, my friend that had one of my big falling outs.
- 51:39SPEAKER_02: Um, a problem in my friendship was with her is that she would do all of these things I didn't ask for to prove that she was a good friend.
- 51:46SPEAKER_02: I'm not saying that this is what this person does, but at the end of the day, it's like you kind of are like, okay, I did all these things for you.
- 51:51SPEAKER_02: Why aren't you doing that for me?
- 51:53SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm saying?
- 51:54SPEAKER_02: And so it's just like that's just another level of like, I didn't ask for all that.
- 51:58SPEAKER_02: And also to like, you know.
- 51:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 52:00SPEAKER_02: And so you just have to adjust your expectations with everyone.
- 52:02SPEAKER_02: Maybe you're doing too much for others.
- 52:04SPEAKER_02: You need to ask people what they actually need and what they actually care about for you to help out with.
- 52:09SPEAKER_02: And then you need a voice, hey, this birthday dinner or whatever means a lot.
- 52:12SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 52:12SPEAKER_02: Not just be like, yeah, like it's fine that you whatever, you know.
- 52:16SPEAKER_01: If you're willing to give everything you're currently giving and never get anything back, then fine, keep doing it.
- 52:21SPEAKER_01: But clearly that's not the case because of what you're submitting right now.
- 52:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 52:24SPEAKER_01: So clearly you feel like the the it's not an evil play even playing field, which I agree.
- 52:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and this is not even to be petty and be like, oh, stop going to all their things, but I'm just saying you do need to Don't feel like you need to be doing everything for everyone.
- 52:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 52:39SPEAKER_02: And check your intentions on it of like, why am I doing that?
- 52:41SPEAKER_02: From the goodness of my heart, or is it because you expect people to give you the same things back?
- 52:45SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 52:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I agree.
- 52:47SPEAKER_01: My friend is mad at me because I threw up after she told me that the eggs that she made, I was actively eating, were made with her breast milk.
- 52:54SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 52:57SPEAKER_02: What?
- 52:59SPEAKER_01: You guys have something weird going on.
- 53:02SPEAKER_02: Wait.
- 53:03SPEAKER_01: It's getting weird.
- 53:03SPEAKER_02: The eggs were made with her breast milk.
- 53:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there's also like a lot more sentences.
- 53:09SPEAKER_01: I just I I think I'm gonna stop here with this one.
- 53:12SPEAKER_01: Both of you are weird.
- 53:14SPEAKER_01: Both of you are weird.
- 53:15SPEAKER_02: That's just something you gotta tell somebody.
- 53:16SPEAKER_01: You gotta let somebody know.
- 53:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 53:19SPEAKER_01: So that's our episode today.
- 53:20SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 53:21SPEAKER_01: Um don't be cooking your friends' eggs with breast milk.
- 53:25SPEAKER_01: Like, that like pissed me off.
- 53:29SPEAKER_01: That pissed me off.
- 53:30SPEAKER_01: Okay, well, we'll see you next week.
- 53:33SPEAKER_01: Submit we need to talk.
- 53:34SPEAKER_02: Please do.
- 53:35SPEAKER_02: Okay, bye.
