- 1:00Speaker 3: Five personal finance tips for twenty twenty four.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Number one, don't loan any money.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Number two, I would save forty to fifty percent of
- 1:13Speaker 4: your money. We don't know what's coming, something that's gonna
- 1:15Speaker 4: come eventually. Number three, you have to find a way
- 1:19Speaker 4: to invest at least twenty five percent of your income.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Number four, spend some time to invest capital to making
- 1:26Speaker 4: yourself better in one area of your life, whether it's investing,
- 1:30Speaker 4: whether it's AI or there's STEM.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I think that's really key.
- 1:34Speaker 4: And then I think number five, you have to find
- 1:37Speaker 4: ways to invest money into businesses outside of publicly traded
- 1:40Speaker 4: markets that are going to grow. So whether that's finding
- 1:43Speaker 4: a business to invest in that you believe in that
- 1:45Speaker 4: you see has growth, a friend, or project the idea.
- 1:49Speaker 4: I know back in the day they had like product
- 1:51Speaker 4: hunt where you can find things to invest in.
- 1:53Speaker 1: But I think the biggest one.
- 1:57Speaker 4: For me is like finding places to deploy capital outside
- 2:00Speaker 4: out of the public markets and being being very tight
- 2:03Speaker 4: on just give it out or handing out money.
- 2:08Speaker 1: When it's not earned and or deserve.
- 2:11Speaker 4: For sure, Like I did an interesting experiment this month, well,
- 2:14Speaker 4: like I didn't reply to any messages that were like
- 2:15Speaker 4: non revenue messages to ten PM.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Just flat out didn't reply. Cool like revenues up thirteen month,
- 2:25Speaker 1: Like we.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Have to pour our time and energy and efforts into
- 2:29Speaker 4: the right thing. And I think a lot of times,
- 2:32Speaker 4: as we grow and as we get established, because we
- 2:35Speaker 4: have success, we want to make the climb easier for
- 2:38Speaker 4: those of us behind us. But sometimes you don't understand
- 2:41Speaker 4: or appreciate the climb unless you went through it yourself.
- 2:44Speaker 4: So as you grow, you still have to have that
- 2:47Speaker 4: budget in mind that you're staying within. And I just
- 2:50Speaker 4: spend pervocusely and just and over accessibly in terms of helping.
- 2:57Speaker 1: So, but what about you?
- 3:00Speaker 5: I got it like a quick question, right, because we
- 3:01Speaker 5: always talk about two tech two index and so somebody
- 3:04Speaker 5: actually asked me this this weekend. They were like, yeah,
- 3:06Speaker 5: we always we talked about VGIVO as indexes. Right, total
- 3:11Speaker 5: market total sm P five hundred. Should people be looking
- 3:14Speaker 5: at under indexes as well? Maybe growth index or international
- 3:19Speaker 5: or I know you talk about bonds all the time,
- 3:21Speaker 5: but should they be investigating and doing the research on
- 3:23Speaker 5: those as well or to should they stick to the
- 3:25Speaker 5: total market in the SMP.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Join eaninvest dot com and get the true But you
- 3:33Speaker 4: can look at VUG. We went through this before. VUG
- 3:36Speaker 4: is one that you can look at that will give
- 3:40Speaker 4: you some exposure. VGT is there technology are so if
- 3:44Speaker 4: you want to higher growth international right now, wouldn't touch
- 3:47Speaker 4: there's too much. Even Buffet said it in this letter.
- 3:50Speaker 4: If there are not ten or fifteen international companies that
- 3:54Speaker 4: Berkshire will put their money into. Like there's a lot
- 3:56Speaker 4: going on that the issue in Russia and the concert
- 3:59Speaker 4: goalers happened over, like we're talking about what's going on
- 4:03Speaker 4: in Haiti in.
- 4:03Speaker 1: A little bit. There's some real risks out there once
- 4:07Speaker 1: you are invested internationally.
- 4:09Speaker 4: I still like Mercardi Lee Bray, but it's not that
- 4:12Speaker 4: many that I can just say, hey, this is the
- 4:13Speaker 4: index that I want to go in. Japan has been
- 4:15Speaker 4: doing great, but even they they were doing great because
- 4:18Speaker 4: they were still operating under a zero interest rate environment. China,
- 4:22Speaker 4: I still haven't seen jack Ma. So I will stay
- 4:26Speaker 4: away VUG v T I v G T V O
- 4:30Speaker 4: all and you'll be a okay. And the next time
- 4:35Speaker 4: I put up on the weekend too, I'm gonna be there.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna be there.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Well yeah, well whatever weekend retirement party, you know what
- 4:43Speaker 4: I mean? People call like, y'all, see you guys in
- 4:45Speaker 4: here where you And I'm like, I'm at home.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It's retirement.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Well he's Jersey retirement, Jersey retirement. Yeah, Christmas to the
- 5:01Speaker 4: one who, uh he helped give me some credibility in
- 5:04Speaker 4: the crypto world when she was working at Yahoo.
- 5:07Speaker 1: About the call of bitcoin going to twenty thousand.
- 5:09Speaker 4: I know they love to say we've never talked about
- 5:11Speaker 4: crypto until this year, but Mike Novagrats is on and
- 5:15Speaker 4: let the record reflect. You know, it was called the
- 5:17Speaker 4: twenty eight and twenty thousand when it was a sixty.
- 5:20Speaker 3: So so let's let's do this before I guess comes on,
- 5:25Speaker 3: because we got a lot of topics to talk about.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Definitely want to talk about Nvidia and healthcare and then
- 5:32Speaker 3: Chipotle as well. But let's give you some educational tips
- 5:36Speaker 3: as far as books that people can can read to
- 5:40Speaker 3: enhance their knowledge base.
- 5:43Speaker 4: I talked about this in stock Club this past weekend.
- 5:45Speaker 4: But one is called Black Edge, very fascinating book on
- 5:50Speaker 4: how like the hedge fund hedge fund industry works. Number
- 5:54Speaker 4: two going back to the Conceito thing with Bruno Mars
- 5:56Speaker 4: a man for all markets. So the gentleman in a
- 6:00Speaker 4: book is one who worked in the casino industry and
- 6:03Speaker 4: then went over to the investing in brokers' industry.
- 6:06Speaker 1: And then the third book.
- 6:10Speaker 4: I would say it's tough because I want to mention money,
- 6:16Speaker 4: master the game. But I talked about this so much,
- 6:19Speaker 4: but I probably would go through any book from Mark
- 6:22Speaker 4: Douglas on trading psychology, and a great part about that
- 6:28Speaker 4: book is at every level, like if you're a beginning trader,
- 6:32Speaker 4: is going to help you, if your intermedia area is
- 6:33Speaker 4: going to help you. And then when you size up
- 6:35Speaker 4: and getting to a point where you're trading forty to
- 6:37Speaker 4: fifty contracts at the time, it's going to help your life.
- 6:41Speaker 4: And the book feels new every time that you read
- 6:43Speaker 4: it based on the level that you're at. So those
- 6:45Speaker 4: would you like my three recommendations for this quarter for
- 6:48Speaker 4: people to read to help them be a better trader
- 6:50Speaker 4: and better investor in this market.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I'm with you, I'm with you.
- 6:54Speaker 5: I think the mindset is the first thing is interesting
- 6:56Speaker 5: because we just had our book club yesterday shot everybody
- 6:58Speaker 5: that pulled up to book.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Club g was going on.
- 7:01Speaker 5: It was a masterpiece. And so I'll use We gave
- 7:04Speaker 5: out four books that that were interested in doing in
- 7:07Speaker 5: this quarter, and it really has to do with investing
- 7:10Speaker 5: in the mindset around investing. So find your Way by
- 7:14Speaker 5: Simon Sheck. Atomic Habits by James Clear and a great
- 7:19Speaker 5: with all time, all time classic. I mean, Blink by
- 7:22Speaker 5: Malcolm Gladwells is just an all time classic. If you
- 7:24Speaker 5: haven't read it, please please add that to your your
- 7:27Speaker 5: your reading digest, added to your library, put it on audiobook.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Blink is an incredible one. And then I personally went
- 7:34Speaker 5: back recently and read The Color of Money again. I
- 7:38Speaker 5: just think you always have to, yeah, just just to
- 7:42Speaker 5: sometimes as we're navigating through this, you want to make
- 7:45Speaker 5: sure that you have a historical landscape of how we
- 7:48Speaker 5: got to this point because you meet people every day
- 7:51Speaker 5: that are just at different levels of their financial journey
- 7:54Speaker 5: from the trauma into the thravele mode. We allls talk
- 7:57Speaker 5: about survival morale mode. So having that mindset, but understanding
- 8:00Speaker 5: from a historical standpoint, well, why we got here, how
- 8:02Speaker 5: we got here, I.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Think it is important.
- 8:03Speaker 5: So those are like four right now that definitely we're
- 8:07Speaker 5: going to be talking about, So you should add it
- 8:09Speaker 5: to your list as well.
- 8:09Speaker 6: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 8:13Speaker 6: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 8:17Speaker 6: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 8:21Speaker 6: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 8:25Speaker 6: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 8:29Speaker 6: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States
- 8:33Speaker 6: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 8:37Speaker 6: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 8:41Speaker 6: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 8:44Speaker 6: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 8:48Speaker 6: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported, you will
- 8:52Speaker 6: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 8:56Speaker 6: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 9:00Speaker 6: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 9:05Speaker 6: border and families will be protected.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
