Transcript
- 0:00Welcome back to the podcast where we get cozy with the
- 0:03cosmos. If you're new here, my name is
- 0:06Sarah Posh and I am your host, astrologer, and coach.
- 0:09And if you've been around for a while with these episodes, thank
- 0:12you. It's so great to have you back.
- 0:14I've talked recently about ways that I'm reshaping this podcast,
- 0:17one of them being the new setup as we get cozy with our blanket
- 0:22and our candles. And the other things that I'm
- 0:24doing is I'm totally restructuring the rhythm and the
- 0:28format. O now you're going to get a new
- 0:30episode every Thursday and it's going to alternate between lunar
- 0:35cycle astrology forecasts. We're going to do deep dives
- 0:38into astrology techniques or focus topics, and then I'm also
- 0:42going to offer once a month of full moon horoscopes and a tarot
- 0:46card pull for every rising sign. I'm super excited.
- 0:49This format, this rhythm really gets me lit up to kind of expand
- 0:54and do more things creatively and tap into different channels
- 0:58of talking about astrology. So this week is going to bring
- 1:01us to our first focus topic episode, and we're going to talk
- 1:05all about eclipses. Dun Dun Dun.
- 1:08We're going to talk about what they mean, how they've been
- 1:10understood differently across different astrological
- 1:14traditions, and how you can work with them in your chart.
- 1:17I'm also going to mention a few resources and link them below
- 1:21this episode for you to check out from some of my favorite
- 1:24astrologers that are doing incredible work with this focus
- 1:28topic on eclipses. I recommend that you check those
- 1:30out if you're interested in learning more after this video.
- 1:33O let's just start from the top. What is an eclipse?
- 1:37One of my favorite terms that I recently heard astrologer Gemini
- 1:40Brett use is this idea of shadow play.
- 1:43Shadow play between the sun and the moon.
- 1:46I think even just that phrasing invites so much contemplation
- 1:51into what an eclipse is. But on a more technical level,
- 1:54an eclipse is a new moon or a full moon that occurs when
- 1:58there's an alignment between the sun, the moon, and the Earth
- 2:02across the ecliptic at the point where we call the nodes, the
- 2:07North Node and the South Node. Maybe you've heard of those
- 2:09terms before. If you've heard of those, or
- 2:11maybe read about those, those aren't actually planets or
- 2:14asteroids. The North Node and South Node
- 2:17are actual mathematical points that are these cross points in
- 2:21the ecliptic and they denote when there is an alignment
- 2:24between the sun, the Moon and the Earth during a new moon and
- 2:27full moon where there will be a shadow cast over one of the
- 2:31lights or luminaries casting its shadow, shall we say, and
- 2:36eclipsing the light of that luminary.
- 2:38So on a solar eclipse, this is always going to happen on a new
- 2:42moon and this is when the alignment eclipses the light of
- 2:46the sun versus a lunar eclipse. This is always an eclipse
- 2:51occurring on the full moon when the shadow is cast over the
- 2:55light of the moon, giving it a little reddish tint that we see
- 3:00when we look into the sky. So whether it's the moon
- 3:02blocking the sun's light and a solar eclipse, or it's the Earth
- 3:05casting a shadow across the moon and a lunar eclipse,
- 3:09archetypally both of these are hiding light.
- 3:13And that's where we get this idea and this concept of shadow
- 3:15play. Eclipses are not just random one
- 3:18off events. Eclipses are always part of a
- 3:21much longer cosmic rhythm that we weave through time. 1st we
- 3:26have eclipse seasons. So this happens every six months
- 3:30or so when these little windows of time that the sun and the
- 3:34moon line up with the Earth and the nodes, and the eclipses
- 3:37occur during the new moons and the full moons.
- 3:40So always happens every six months, twice a year.
- 3:43It's usually in the same 2 signs.
- 3:46Sometimes there's a crossover when the nodes are shifting
- 3:48signs. And these eclipse cycles usually
- 3:51last about 18 months. So about a year and a half to
- 3:55two years we'll see the same series of eclipses and the same
- 3:58signs. Then on a bigger scale, eclipses
- 4:02belong to what's called a Cerro cycle.
- 4:04This is an 18 year family of eclipse that repeat with a very
- 4:09similar pattern of the Sun, moon and Earth and the geometry that
- 4:13they create. Each Cerro's family lasts over
- 4:161000 years. So that means when the eclipse
- 4:19we experienced today from the Cerro's family, it's actually
- 4:23part of a much older story that began centuries ago.
- 4:27So when we experience an eclipse, we are not just feeling
- 4:30today's energy, we're plugging into a larger cosmic inheritance
- 4:35that's been echoing through time.
- 4:38It's kind of fun to investigate. If you're somebody who likes to
- 4:40look and learn through the lens of your personal astrology, you
- 4:43can actually look up the eclipses that were happening
- 4:46right before you were born. This is called your prenatal
- 4:48eclipse. And then you can identify which
- 4:51eclipse family, so which arrows cycle those eclipses live
- 4:55within. And then you can track the cycle
- 4:58of those specific Cerro cycle eclipses that happen throughout
- 5:02your lifetime and start to just maybe notice that there's a
- 5:05pattern of significance that's a little bit more heightened
- 5:08during those specific eclipses. So taking into consideration
- 5:13this awareness that these eclipses are part of a much
- 5:16longer, larger cosmic story and unfolding, that means for us
- 5:21personally that an eclipse can feel like fate stepping in.
- 5:25It can be like a story long in the making suddenly taking a
- 5:29turn. This is why eclipses often
- 5:31coincide with those big life redirecting moments that we
- 5:35couldn't have planned if we tried, and also the
- 5:38consideration that the effect of the eclipse does not just last
- 5:42six months like a typical new moon to full moon, because it's
- 5:46a part of these larger cycles of time.
- 5:49The effects and the implications of what happens during an
- 5:52eclipse usually plays out for at least another year, sometimes
- 5:56two years later. And it can be even life changing
- 6:00if it's an eclipse that's impacting our Natal chart in a
- 6:02really sensitive and personal way.
- 6:04And part of that comes back to this shadow play and coming back
- 6:07to the idea that the light is being obscured or eclipsed
- 6:11during these new moons and full moons.
- 6:13Often times we don't see what the implications of that eclipse
- 6:17was until we look back in retrospect.
- 6:20Another key phrase that I like to use for eclipses before we
- 6:23dive into some more details is that when you think about solar
- 6:27eclipse, as you can think of the phrase major beginnings, and
- 6:31when you think about lunar eclipses or the full moon
- 6:34eclipses, you can think about major endings or completions.
- 6:38I noticed that sometimes people get tripped up on the word
- 6:41completion. Sometimes completion means
- 6:44fruition. Think about how we talk about
- 6:46our full moons. Yes, sometimes that means things
- 6:49are coming to an end or close, but it can also mean that things
- 6:52are coming to a point of release of karmic kind of blossoming
- 6:57with that full moon major endings.
- 6:59So next I want to talk about some of the meanings across
- 7:02different traditions and what I'm talking about when I say
- 7:05astrological traditions. There's modern astrology,
- 7:08there's Vedic astrology, and then there's Hellenistic or
- 7:11traditional astrology. I personally practice
- 7:13traditional or Hellenistic astrology and my client
- 7:15practice, I do weave in some of the archetypal modern astrology
- 7:20as well into my work. But for the most part, when I'm
- 7:23using any kind of timing techniques, we're always using
- 7:26traditional astrology. So it's kind of fascinating to
- 7:28me to recognize that these different astrological
- 7:31traditions do look at and interpret eclipses differently.
- 7:36In modern astrology, there's more of this energy around
- 7:40growth and spiritual development.
- 7:43They see eclipses as being these catalysts for big releases and
- 7:46beginnings. The North Node as this point of
- 7:48soul growth and development. The South Node is kind of our
- 7:51karmic past or past lives if you believe in that concept.
- 7:54Whereas the Vedic tradition, they actually call the North
- 7:58Node Rahu and the South Node K2, and the Vedic tradition in
- 8:03general is much more rooted in the karmic philosophy.
- 8:08So they really see the eclipses through the karmic lens and this
- 8:11sort of ripening of the individual's inherent karma that
- 8:15we see in the Natal chart versus in traditional astrology where
- 8:19we're really looking at eclipses as potential amplifiers of the
- 8:23NATO promise. So what is a Natal promise?
- 8:27Have you ever heard that term before?
- 8:28Maybe you haven't. In traditional astrology, A
- 8:30Natal promise is basically telling us that nothing's ever
- 8:34going to happen in an individual's life that isn't
- 8:38already promised in the Natal chart.
- 8:41We should be able to identify everything in the birth chart of
- 8:44potentiality, of manifestation, of growth, of change, beginnings
- 8:48and endings within the Natal context.
- 8:51And if we don't see that in the Natal chart, then an eclipse
- 8:54isn't really going to do much for that individual.
- 8:58Eclipses really are just stirring themes already present
- 9:01in the Natal context. Archetypally, you can kind of
- 9:04imagine this as the Natal chart having this locked treasure
- 9:08chest, right? And the eclipses might come and
- 9:12unlock that trust and force it open, and something might fly
- 9:16out. But what's going to fly out,
- 9:18whether it's something really exciting and good or something
- 9:22really tragic and hard, that's dependent on what was already in
- 9:26that chest, in that treasure chest.
- 9:28I hope that kind of helps clarify some of the differences
- 9:31between the traditions and how they work with or interpret the
- 9:34eclipses and also gives you a little bit more understanding of
- 9:38what we mean when we say Natal promise.
- 9:40And if you're somebody who's more interested in diving deep
- 9:43into this idea of Natal promise and investigating what that
- 9:46means specifically for you, I just launched a new mentorship
- 9:50program with my colleague Alexandra Blair specifically
- 9:54focused on this topic. It's called Living Chart Work
- 9:57and it's a very limited space availability.
- 10:00We're limiting it to 12 individuals and it's going to be
- 10:03a really hands on immersion into learning these techniques
- 10:07through actually doing them and working together in
- 10:10collaboration and group and working through live chart
- 10:13demos. So if you're interested in
- 10:14learning more about that or seeing if you can enroll, then
- 10:17go ahead and check out that link below.
- 10:18And now I want to circle back to the North node and South Node
- 10:22and the interpretations or meanings of those.
- 10:25Is this an eclipse happening with the North node or the South
- 10:28node? So the North Node and the South
- 10:29Node are always positioned in equal and opposite positions in
- 10:33the sky, so in equal polarity of the Zodiac signs.
- 10:36For instance, right now we have the North Node in Pisces and we
- 10:41have the South Node in Virgo. Next we will have the North Node
- 10:44in Aquarius and the South Node in Leo.
- 10:47And so I want to talk a little bit about the difference between
- 10:50a N node eclipse and AS node eclipse.
- 10:52Across both Vedic and Hellenistic astrology
- 10:55traditions, the North Node was seen as this point of increase,
- 10:59a point of obsession, potentially of hunger,
- 11:02especially of hunger for worldly things or material things.
- 11:06When we see a planet conjunct AN node and a Natal chart,
- 11:10sometimes we read that as the potential for that planet to
- 11:13have a little bit heightened power and potential, for better
- 11:17or for worse. Like a really hungry Mars, a
- 11:20little insatiable Mars that could lead to a little bit of
- 11:23destruction and heightened amounts of conflict in that
- 11:27person's life. Versus the South Node in Vedic
- 11:30and Hellenistic traditions is seen more as this point of
- 11:33release, a point of transcendence, or a focus on
- 11:37more of the spiritual longings of the soul.
- 11:41So a shift of focus from worldly acquisition and prominence to
- 11:46spiritual acquisition and more of this idea of transcending
- 11:51worldly things. So now let's come back to that
- 11:53example we gave of Mars and the Natal chart.
- 11:56If we had Mars conjunct the South Node this time instead of
- 11:59the North Node, this is going to give that Mars a weakening
- 12:03effect. We're going to have a
- 12:04diminishment of the Mars potential.
- 12:07And that kind of fiery ambitious, shouldn't oriented
- 12:11Mars in the natives life. This might be somebody who's
- 12:13more conflict avoidant or somebody who struggles to gather
- 12:17their willpower and their energy to attain worldly ambitions and
- 12:21goals. This is somebody who's not
- 12:23really driven potentially by those worldly ambitions.
- 12:26So I hope that gives you a little bit more clear of a
- 12:29picture of that difference between the North Node and the
- 12:32South Node and maybe beginning application of how to put it
- 12:35into the birth chart or kind of start to put it with the planets
- 12:39and how that might impact the different expression of the
- 12:41planets in the natives life. And I also want to mention that
- 12:45in my own personal practice as an astrologer over the last
- 12:48decade in my client work, in my personal experience, I
- 12:52personally have not seen the truth of the idea in modern
- 12:56astrology that the North Node is a point that brings fruition for
- 13:00the future soul development of this idea of like it's taking us
- 13:04forward, its growth. And the South Node being this
- 13:07point of our past lives. I really see both the North Node
- 13:11and the South Node participating and moving individuals forward
- 13:16and really significant and life changing faded ways.
- 13:20So that's just my own personal experience.
- 13:22I'm curious, are you somebody who works with eclipses, works
- 13:25with the nodes and what's been your experience?
- 13:28Go ahead and comment below. I'd love to hear what your
- 13:30experience has been. If it's different than mine, I'd
- 13:33love to learn from you. On that note, one thing I have
- 13:36seen and I will advocate for is that I do not encourage people
- 13:42to use eclipses as times to set intentions, to ritualize, to put
- 13:48things into motion, or put moon water or crystals outside.
- 13:53Eclipses are shadowy in nature. The light is being eclipsed.
- 13:57There's so much that we can't see during an eclipse.
- 14:00And I also know astrologers and colleagues that I respect the
- 14:03hell out of their work and they don't believe that.
- 14:06So of course, always take what's useful and discard the rest and
- 14:11trust yourself over me or any other so-called astrology
- 14:15expert. And I don't mean to be all doom
- 14:17and gloom and fear mongering when I say this.
- 14:20All I'm saying is that eclipses have their own energy and their
- 14:25own agenda. And I tend to see that whatever
- 14:27we put into motion or we think we're putting into motion, it's
- 14:31usually not how it's going to actually result or come out in
- 14:35the end. Because of those cycles of time
- 14:37that we talked about in the beginning that are connected to
- 14:40the eclipses. There's usually something bigger
- 14:43playing out that we don't even really know about.
- 14:45And there's also this very faded aspect.
- 14:48You know, sometimes we can have plans and we're going in One
- 14:51Direction and then all of a sudden eclipses come through and
- 14:55the waves of the ocean that have been coming through the tide at
- 14:57the same height every day, It's a tsunami that washes us all the
- 15:01way onto a different shore. I thought it might be fun and a
- 15:04little bit helpful to share a personal story since, I mean,
- 15:07that's what we're doing. We're getting cozy.
- 15:08We're talking about the cosmos. So I want to tell you about the
- 15:10moment that I became an astrologer.
- 15:12Dun tada, what do you know? It was an eclipse.
- 15:15I actually used to be a pharmacist.
- 15:17I practiced pharmacy and an orthopedic surgery hospital in
- 15:20Omaha, NE, And in 2015, I was in my last year of pharmacy school.
- 15:25I was applying for residencies. I really plan to specialize and
- 15:29had this whole trajectory. I was very ambitious.
- 15:31I did all the right things. My grades were on point, I had
- 15:33great recommendations, and on the day of a Pisces eclipse, I
- 15:39got turned turned down from every single residency that I
- 15:42had applied for. My life had completely turned
- 15:45upside down. The relationship I was in ended
- 15:48unexpectedly, in hindsight expectedly, and I felt like life
- 15:52had just shown up to my door and I was holding this bucket with
- 15:56all of my life plans and all of the things I've done to get to
- 15:58where I'm going and where I'm going to go next.
- 16:01And it just took the bucket out of my hands.
- 16:03As soon as I opened that door, it turned it upside down, poured
- 16:06everything onto the floor and then gave me the bucket back,
- 16:08kind of laughed and winked at me and walked away.
- 16:11As you can imagine, I was totally distraught and literally
- 16:14the only thing I could think to do was to read about the
- 16:17astrology of the moment. I was like, what is going on?
- 16:20Like I did everything right. Everything was set in a very
- 16:24specific plan in a very specific order in case you didn't pick up
- 16:27on it. Yes, I am a Capricorn, and it
- 16:31didn't work out. So why?
- 16:32Like, what is going on? And I started reading about the
- 16:35eclipse, the Pisces eclipse that was happening.
- 16:37It was also what's called a nodal opposition for me
- 16:39personally. Maybe we'll do that in another
- 16:41video. I'm not going to go into that
- 16:42now, but it's a very potent window of time in everybody's
- 16:45lives where I call it the cosmic chiropractic adjustment, this
- 16:50nodal opposition where if you're going down the wrong trajectory,
- 16:54life will kind of snap you back in place.
- 16:57And that can feel really destabilizing and frustrating
- 17:01like it did for me in 2015. Or maybe you've been waiting for
- 17:06the moment to finally break free and get out of the path that
- 17:10you're on. It's all dependent on ourselves,
- 17:13our circumstances, our psychological makeup, our
- 17:15emotional makeup, our worldview, etcetera, etcetera.
- 17:19I digress. ANYWAYS, all this to say that
- 17:22that eclipse was nothing. I planned that, that moment in
- 17:25time that felt really significant for the reason I
- 17:27thought it was. I thought it meant that I wasn't
- 17:30supposed to do residency. I was just supposed to get a job
- 17:32locally, stay in Nebraska, you know, work at this orthopedic
- 17:36surgery hospital. And in hindsight, that isn't
- 17:39even what it was about. It led me all the way to where I
- 17:42am today. And now we're at the other nodal
- 17:45opposition point, which is actually my nodal return.
- 17:49Again, another topic, maybe for another day, but a significant
- 17:52window of time if you're tracking eclipses in your Natal
- 17:54chart. And it's really exciting because
- 17:57I love where I'm at. I love this trajectory, but I
- 18:01never would have put myself on here if it weren't for the
- 18:05eclipses. And I guess that's what I mean
- 18:07by they're shadowy, they're faded.
- 18:09There's this invitation to kind of trust that something's
- 18:11happening for us that's aligned to what it is that we're
- 18:15intended to do. That needle promise that exists,
- 18:18that isn't really in our control, but it is in our favor
- 18:23in the long run. Again, comes back to that like
- 18:26retrospect view that we sort of have.
- 18:28So let's talk a little bit about do's and don'ts during eclipses,
- 18:31right? These are my personal opinions.
- 18:34These are my personal practice. These are not something that you
- 18:37have to do if you're like not into it.
- 18:39You do you, babe. But for me, I always use
- 18:42eclipses as times to not force or try to manifest to specific
- 18:47outcomes. I usually try to not put
- 18:49anything into motion or start anything major intentionally.
- 18:55And then I also don't ritualize the eclipse in terms of setting
- 18:58moon water or charging crystals. I avoid any of that.
- 19:01Also because our bodies are so intimately connected to the moon
- 19:05and the rhythms of the moon and the sun.
- 19:07I usually try to make sure during eclipse season that I'm
- 19:10always cushioning myself and my schedule with a lot of extra
- 19:15time for self-care. I am drinking more water.
- 19:18I am eating better foods. I am seeing less people.
- 19:22I am doing less in public. I'm a little bit cave mode
- 19:25during eclipses, right? Like I'm kind of not so much
- 19:28like taking cover as I am kind of getting myself out of the way
- 19:34to minimize the destabilization or the turbulence, shall we say,
- 19:39of the eclipse cycle. I'm also just highly, highly
- 19:41sensitive to the moon and eclipses.
- 19:43And so I notice if I don't do these practices, I can sometimes
- 19:47get sick or there's been times where I got injured because I
- 19:50try to just keep doing the status quo of what I was doing.
- 19:54So for me, I'm like, OK, I need to just chill out.
- 19:56It's eclipse season. Nothing is chill right now.
- 19:59What can I do to make myself a little bit more chill?
- 20:02So my personal dues, extra self-care, extra water, extra
- 20:07rest, extra good nourishing foods.
- 20:10I like to reflect, I like to observe, I like to journal more
- 20:14during eclipse seasons. Kind of asking, what is it that
- 20:18this space is revealing? Are there shadows that are
- 20:20coming up? I'm really into pattern
- 20:23interruption, especially in my coaching work, and shadows tend
- 20:27to bring old patterns up in a really loud way.
- 20:31That doesn't mean that we're necessarily in the pattern, or
- 20:34we're reliving or regressing into the pattern.
- 20:37It's almost as if the eclipse energy brings the pattern up in
- 20:40this heightened way for the opportunity to release it,
- 20:44interrupt it, or change it in a significant, dramatic way.
- 20:49Kind of like instead of needing to work through a pattern and
- 20:52therapy over six months, 12 months, 10 years, if we can wake
- 20:58up to the pattern in the moment of the eclipse cycle and we can
- 21:02change or interrupt it with a new pattern in that moment, it's
- 21:06like it does 10 plus years of change, of pattern change and
- 21:12maybe even karmic resolution. And then, of course, to ask
- 21:15myself, you know, what would it take to allow more space for
- 21:20faded change? What would it be like to trust
- 21:23that whatever is happening right now is trying to reveal
- 21:26something to me, is trying to take me somewhere that I might
- 21:29not be able to see in this moment?
- 21:31And along those lines of the pattern interruption or the
- 21:35karmic resolution, eclipses are a great time to do cutting work.
- 21:41If there's a change that you've been working on or a cord that
- 21:44you know you're trying to cut, an eclipse is a great time to
- 21:49cut that cord. Eclipses kind of have that
- 21:52Saturnian power in that way where whatever we end or sever
- 21:57has a deeper severing power and perseverance and whatever we
- 22:01hold on to, whatever we, you know, grip or commit even deeper
- 22:06into it can kind of solidify in that Saturnian way where it
- 22:09might take more time later to get ourselves out of it.
- 22:13And again, none of this is meant to be fear mongering, but we are
- 22:15talking about eclipses and they're a little bit spooky.
- 22:17So. So don't blame me, blame the
- 22:19eclipses. And if my don'ts during eclipse
- 22:22season aren't obvious at this point, then I'll go ahead and
- 22:25make them obvious. Don't force anything.
- 22:28Don't try to manifest anything specific.
- 22:31If you've been putting in the work and you're on the right
- 22:34trajectory and you haven't been avoiding change, that is obvious
- 22:38change that needs to happen. And the eclipses aren't anything
- 22:41to fear. They aren't anything to be
- 22:42afraid of. There's something to be like, my
- 22:44God, yes, let's catch this wave and take me further, farther,
- 22:47faster. Unless you are avoiding change,
- 22:49then maybe there's a little bit of fear involved.
- 22:53My sag moon, she might be coming in a little bit too hot that
- 22:55way. Let's get back to it.
- 22:56One other thing that I wanted to mention in this episode was the
- 23:00idea of eclipses outside of the Natal context.
- 23:03So not just you personally, but what about the collective or the
- 23:06mundane impact of eclipses? This is something that was
- 23:09really a focus, especially for the Hellenistic astrological
- 23:12tradition. This is really where they spent
- 23:14most of their time when working with eclipses or reading
- 23:17eclipses. So in ancient times, they feared
- 23:20that eclipses signified the death of rulers.
- 23:24It signified wars of major collective turbulence and
- 23:28destructive life changing events.
- 23:31What we can look for and you can pay attention to during the
- 23:34eclipse seasons. Notice and look for any
- 23:36leadership changes on a collective level.
- 23:39You can also pay attention to any secrets that might be
- 23:42surfacing, especially through prominent figures in collective
- 23:46history and collective reality in today's society.
- 23:49This is that collective shadow play coming onto the stage.
- 23:53So it's kind of an interesting way to investigate the ideas
- 23:57that we've been talking about on this episode around eclipses,
- 24:00the solar eclipses, because we're eclipsing the light of the
- 24:02sun, and sun traditionally rules rulers, people in authority,
- 24:07leaders, people who have prominence and significance.
- 24:11When there's a solar eclipse, sometimes that can mean the
- 24:15eclipse of a leader, the fall of somebody in charge or in
- 24:18authority. You can kind of pay attention,
- 24:20whether it's your local collective, like your boss at
- 24:24work, or maybe it's the boss of the United States and America.
- 24:29We can all just kind of see like what's going to happen during
- 24:31that Virgo solar eclipse we've got next week in an exact
- 24:35opposition to Saturn, the versus the lunar eclipses, which were
- 24:42said to signify more of the mundane events for the everyday
- 24:46man, everyday person. And so we can pay attention to
- 24:49maybe there's collectives of people that are being impacted
- 24:52by these eclipses. And it's just something to kind
- 24:55of, you know, like I said, use for investigation purposes, A
- 24:58deeper investigation and observation.
- 25:01If you're somebody who wants to know more and you're not just
- 25:04going to take my word for it, it's really helpful.
- 25:07You can even look back historically at major events
- 25:10that happened to different leaders or even different groups
- 25:13of people and see if they track with any significant eclipses,
- 25:17especially eclipses that might be hitting or visible in that
- 25:22area of the world. So there's obviously so much
- 25:25that we could say about eclipses, and I am definitely
- 25:27not an eclipse expert when it comes to astrology.
- 25:30I do read and track eclipse cycles in my personal life and
- 25:33my personal chart work, and I always work with eclipses when
- 25:36I'm working with clients. But there are so many incredible
- 25:40astrologers out there that have done so much work and research,
- 25:44whether that's empirical research within their own client
- 25:47research or also just reading through all of these incredible
- 25:51astrologers throughout history and gathering all of this wisdom
- 25:54to share with you. Again, I'm going to link those
- 25:57resources for you below. If you found any of this
- 25:59interesting and you want to know more, I highly, highly encourage
- 26:03you to check those astrologers out.
- 26:05And then bringing all this back to our present moment reality,
- 26:09these eclipses that we are currently in, the first eclipse
- 26:13is going to be a total lunar eclipse, a full moon eclipse in
- 26:18Pisces on September 7th. And then the second eclipse of
- 26:21this cycle is going to be a new moon partial solar eclipse at
- 26:2628° of Virgo. I'm going to talk way more about
- 26:29these eclipses and some of the astrological significations
- 26:33impacting both of them individually and upcoming
- 26:36episodes. Remember, next week I'm going to
- 26:38do that full Moon rising sign horoscope for each rising sign,
- 26:43and I'm also going to do a tarot card pull.
- 26:45One thing you can start to think about before we get to those
- 26:47episodes is the houses that Pisces and Virgo rule in your
- 26:51chart. And what are the themes or the
- 26:53topics of those houses? And around those topics and
- 26:56themes of your Virgo Pisces houses, what are some things
- 27:01that feel hidden right now during this eclipse season?
- 27:04Is there something that's asking to be released around these
- 27:07topics and themes, and what treasure might be?
- 27:10Wedding eclipses remind us that light can disappear, but in that
- 27:16pause and that shadowy space, something faded, karmic or
- 27:22evolutionary can possibly breakthrough.
- 27:25Whether you see eclipses as a growth edge, as a karmic lesson
- 27:30or ripening, or fate itself of a Natal promise, eclipses are
- 27:35always invitations to step courageously and willingly into
- 27:42the next chapter. Thank you so much for joining me
- 27:45on Cozy with the Cosmos. I'm your host, Sarah Posh, and I
- 27:49hope that if you enjoyed this video, you will give it a like
- 27:52comment below. If you enjoyed this content,
- 27:54this focus topic episode, if there's anything that you'd love
- 27:58to learn about on these focus topic deep dive episodes, I'm
- 28:01going to be doing them once a month.
- 28:03So I would love to hear if you have things that you're really
- 28:05hungry to learn about. Otherwise, I'm usually going to
- 28:08do something that's connected and woven into some of the
- 28:11bigger transits of the lunar cycle that we're working
- 28:14through. And it's just so fun to be able
- 28:17to change up this podcast, to change up this flow and to
- 28:20really just follow like what feels good and fun for me.
- 28:24I really appreciate you again. If you're new, thanks for
- 28:26joining. Hope to have you back.
- 28:28If you've been here, please continue to come back.
