- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show.
- 0:05Speaker 1: On seven ten wo.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Onday, it's Saint Patrick's Day. Today it's the Irish super Bowl.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Now normally here at iHeart, you're going way down there
- 0:17Speaker 2: at that end. We got buffets everywhere, the greatest food
- 0:22Speaker 2: except Saint Patrick's Day. It's enough with the soda bread
- 0:25Speaker 2: and there's nothing good to eat down there today. So,
- 0:29Speaker 2: but what's a wonderful day in New York. Don't drive
- 0:31Speaker 2: into Manhattan today. The Saint Patrick's Day Parade takes place
- 0:34Speaker 2: starting about eleven, goes to about three or four, and
- 0:39Speaker 2: it's just a traffic nightmare. So stay out of Manhattan
- 0:42Speaker 2: if you're driving. Hey, three days until spring. Spring begins Friday,
- 0:47Speaker 2: actually eleven forty nine Thursday night, so Friday will be
- 0:52Speaker 2: the first day of spring. That's great news. Now a
- 0:56Speaker 2: lot to get to today. We'll get to Iran, a
- 0:59Speaker 2: lot is developed, we'll get to Cuba, a lot is
- 1:01Speaker 2: about to develop. We'll get to Saint Patrick's Day. We'll
- 1:04Speaker 2: get to the Democrats their latest craziest nonsense they're proposing
- 1:07Speaker 2: in the legislature. And Tom Holman's got a great idea.
- 1:13Speaker 2: We'll get to that coming up Saint Patrick's state breakfast today.
- 1:17Speaker 2: That's a big tradition, Gracie Mansion. The mayor, the mayor
- 1:21Speaker 2: of course, making a fool out of himself this breakfast.
- 1:25Speaker 2: You know, the mayor has to I mean, it's not funny.
- 1:30Speaker 2: He's got to do something about the anti Semitism problem.
- 1:34Speaker 2: He can't keep it under control. He can't stop with
- 1:36Speaker 2: the anti Semitism. It's like deep inside him and his
- 1:39Speaker 2: wife is just as bad. But speaking to the Irish
- 1:43Speaker 2: former Irish president, and this is the Saint Patrick's day breakfast,
- 1:47Speaker 2: starts talking about the genocide in Palestine, the genocide that
- 1:52Speaker 2: took place, and everybody just looking at each other. They
- 1:56Speaker 2: can't believe. He just can't control this nonsense that comes
- 2:00Speaker 2: out of his mouth. So here's the good news. As
- 2:04Speaker 2: far as Iran, Chuck Schumer would call it the endless war,
- 2:08Speaker 2: it's day thirteen. Ukraine is fine with him. That's year five.
- 2:13Speaker 2: That's not endless, but day thirteen of this this is
- 2:16Speaker 2: the endless war. But we took out last night, well
- 2:20Speaker 2: we didn't do it, actually Israel did it. We took
- 2:22Speaker 2: out two top leaders, the current leader of Iran, which
- 2:25Speaker 2: was not the Iatola's son. Apparently he is either badly,
- 2:30Speaker 2: badly wounded or dead. Nobody's sure about that, but he
- 2:34Speaker 2: hasn't been leading it anyway. But the real leader of
- 2:36Speaker 2: Iran was and the biggest enemy, United States was taken out,
- 2:41Speaker 2: blown up, a bomb, hitting him right on the head.
- 2:44Speaker 2: That was Israel that did that and took out another
- 2:46Speaker 2: couple of leaders. So Iran without any leadership right now.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Carg Island, which is very crucial to them, we've taken
- 2:54Speaker 2: out everything on it. We left the oil there because
- 2:56Speaker 2: it's their biggest oil refinery, it's their biggest oil storage center.
- 3:01Speaker 2: We've taken that out. Endless war. I don't know you
- 3:04Speaker 2: probably everybody thinks, I mean people that are in the
- 3:08Speaker 2: know about this, Israel, United States, DC. I think you
- 3:12Speaker 2: got about two weeks. More about two weeks. They'll start
- 3:15Speaker 2: wrapping it up, maybe three weeks. They'll wrap it up
- 3:17Speaker 2: in three weeks and that'll be the end of it.
- 3:20Speaker 2: So we'll see what happens, what kind of government comes
- 3:22Speaker 2: in there, what kind of leadership. But imagine a free,
- 3:25Speaker 2: liberated Iran that's no longer a terrorist state, no longer
- 3:30Speaker 2: a brutal dictatorship. And then Cuba is expected to fall next.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Cuba already has rioters on the street breaking into the
- 3:38Speaker 2: communist headquarters buildings. You had a blackout last night, believed
- 3:44Speaker 2: to be deliberate, the government turning off the power trying
- 3:46Speaker 2: to control the rioting problem. Is like any socialist communist country,
- 3:53Speaker 2: the people are starving while the leaders have everything. So
- 3:56Speaker 2: you could have a blackout, but the leaders all have
- 3:59Speaker 2: generators and power on and their lights are on and
- 4:02Speaker 2: the rioters can see that, only making the mangreer. So
- 4:05Speaker 2: expect Cuba to fall in the coming months. That could
- 4:09Speaker 2: be another amazing development. Imagine that Iran free, Cuba, free,
- 4:14Speaker 2: a democracy all over again. Cuba's not really a threat
- 4:18Speaker 2: to us, Iran is. Iran's a threat to everybody sponsoring
- 4:21Speaker 2: terrorism all over the world. So to eliminate that threat
- 4:26Speaker 2: would be a major relief to the world. That people
- 4:28Speaker 2: may not see that now. They might be yelling and
- 4:30Speaker 2: screaming about how awful this is. But once it's done.
- 4:33Speaker 2: That's the problem with the critics of Trump. They attack
- 4:35Speaker 2: him like crazy over something and it looks bad. He
- 4:39Speaker 2: can look like he doesn't know what he's doing. He
- 4:41Speaker 2: can look like he's just flying by the seat of
- 4:43Speaker 2: his pants. He can look like he's making it up
- 4:46Speaker 2: as he goes along. That's actually not the case. He
- 4:48Speaker 2: can just look like that. But then when it's over
- 4:50Speaker 2: and it turns out it was great, everything worked out fine,
- 4:54Speaker 2: and it turns out he was right, then they don't
- 4:56Speaker 2: know what to do. You're seeing that right now. Yeah,
- 4:59Speaker 2: these are critics, especially the Democrats, Schumer, Hillary Obama, for
- 5:06Speaker 2: years years, all the video exists. You can see them
- 5:10Speaker 2: yelling and screaming about we have to take out the Iatola,
- 5:12Speaker 2: we have to get rid of the Iranian government. We
- 5:14Speaker 2: have They all talked about doing it, even John Bolton.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Nobody was more of a hawk on this than John Bolton.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Now they're all critics. Now, it's the worst thing you
- 5:22Speaker 2: can do. They couldn't stop saying they had to do it,
- 5:26Speaker 2: and now it's the dumbest thing. It's the craziest thing.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Why did he have to do this? You're the ones
- 5:32Speaker 2: that have been saying it for thirty years now, the
- 5:34Speaker 2: other line of attackers. He's betrayed his base, he's betrayed
- 5:37Speaker 2: the Maga Bass. He doesn't betrayed anybody. If you check
- 5:41Speaker 2: you again, I think they don't understand the internet. You
- 5:45Speaker 2: can go back and look at videos of Donald Trump
- 5:48Speaker 2: going back forty six years. For forty six years in interviews,
- 5:52Speaker 2: he's been talking about getting rid of the Ayatola, getting
- 5:55Speaker 2: rid of this Iranian regime, wiping them out to remove them.
- 6:00Speaker 2: He's been talking about it for forty six years. He's
- 6:02Speaker 2: talked about it all the time. It's not it shouldn't
- 6:05Speaker 2: be any shock to anybody. Susie Wilds, the chief of
- 6:08Speaker 2: staff who everybody loves and respects, announced she has breast cancer.
- 6:12Speaker 2: She'll continue to work though while she gets treatment. Treatment
- 6:16Speaker 2: will be three days a week, but she'll continue to
- 6:19Speaker 2: work as chief of staff. You know, got some good, strong,
- 6:23Speaker 2: tough women in the White House. Caroline Levity, you remember
- 6:26Speaker 2: she had a baby and recently and took three days
- 6:29Speaker 2: off and was back at work. Unlike Pete boodag Edge.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Remember when he had a baby. And it's not like
- 6:35Speaker 2: he actually gave birth. Remember when he had a baby.
- 6:37Speaker 2: He was out for three four months, in the middle
- 6:40Speaker 2: of the supply chain crisis, in the middle of the
- 6:43Speaker 2: ports being clogged. He was out for months and months
- 6:45Speaker 2: and months. Now, why do those isis?
- 6:50Speaker 3: Not?
- 6:50Speaker 2: Isis? Why do those ice agents wear masks because of
- 6:54Speaker 2: the threats against them and their families. All the crazy
- 6:58Speaker 2: protesters have been trying what they call docks them, give
- 7:02Speaker 2: out their address, put it up online, put it up
- 7:06Speaker 2: on Twitter or actually Blue Sky wherever they are, and
- 7:10Speaker 2: have their house surrounded by protesters, which does nothing except
- 7:13Speaker 2: terrify their family, terrorize their wife and their kids. So
- 7:17Speaker 2: that's why protesters, you know, do That's what protesters do.
- 7:23Speaker 2: That's why the ICE agents are wearing masks. Now, Homan
- 7:28Speaker 2: Tom Holman thinks maybe you should just docks the protesters.
- 7:32Speaker 2: You know, it's easy to do. You figure out who
- 7:34Speaker 2: people are, you know, as long as you can photograph
- 7:36Speaker 2: their face. There's so much software now where you can
- 7:39Speaker 2: just put the face into Google reverse photo search of
- 7:43Speaker 2: those kind of things, and it'll bring up who they are.
- 7:46Speaker 2: It'll bring you to their Instagram, their Facebook page, their LinkedIn,
- 7:49Speaker 2: stuff like that. So Holman wants to dox the protesters,
- 7:54Speaker 2: reveal who they are and what are they doing out
- 7:56Speaker 2: in the middle of the day protesting. Well, here's Holman
- 7:59Speaker 2: with his idea.
- 8:00Speaker 4: We're going to create a database those people that are
- 8:03Speaker 4: arrested for interference in Peanut So we're going to make
- 8:06Speaker 4: them famous. We're going to put their face on TV.
- 8:09Speaker 4: We're going to let their employers in their neighborhoods and
- 8:12Speaker 4: their schools know who these people are, because, as you said,
- 8:15Speaker 4: a lot of these people they say they're taking time
- 8:17Speaker 4: off work to protest. I bet your laber calling in sick.
- 8:20Speaker 4: I bet your lobber employers don't know what they're doing.
- 8:23Speaker 2: That could be so fight fire with fire. There you go.
- 8:28Speaker 2: You know in Hollywood, all they talk about is climate change,
- 8:30Speaker 2: the environment. You got to use a paper straw and
- 8:33Speaker 2: not a plastic straw, big on the environment, cleaning the environment. Well,
- 8:38Speaker 2: everybody was stunned when they saw this photograph that came out.
- 8:42Speaker 2: It's up on my Twitter if you want to see it.
- 8:45Speaker 2: After the Oscars were over, after the auditorium emptied out,
- 8:50Speaker 2: after it was totally empty, somebody way up high on
- 8:52Speaker 2: the top took a photograph of all the empty seats
- 8:57Speaker 2: and it was they were all just litter with garbage,
- 9:01Speaker 2: with water bottles and paper and bags and rappers. They
- 9:05Speaker 2: just the whole floor was just filled with garbage thrown
- 9:09Speaker 2: there by these Hollywood elitists who are lecturing you about
- 9:12Speaker 2: climate change, clean the environment, protect the environment, and the
- 9:16Speaker 2: worst case of littering. You can imagine. Take a look
- 9:19Speaker 2: at the picture. It's on my Twitter if you want
- 9:22Speaker 2: to see it. But I mean, listen, the hypocrisy Hollywood
- 9:26Speaker 2: is famous for. The hypocrisy Democrats are famous for. But
- 9:31Speaker 2: I mean, it was just shocking. Also, the elitist idea
- 9:36Speaker 2: of we'll just throw this stuff all over the floor,
- 9:39Speaker 2: let somebody else clean up. That's Hollywood for you. So hey,
- 9:44Speaker 2: speaking of Democrats, the Democrats in the state legislature, they
- 9:48Speaker 2: come up with one ridiculous, crazy idea after another. The
- 9:53Speaker 2: latest is this new proposal. It's making its way through
- 9:57Speaker 2: the legislature. Nobody could believe they would actually attempt anything
- 10:01Speaker 2: this crazy. It's called the what's it called? The Lights
- 10:04Speaker 2: Out Proposal to massive statewide ban on lights on after
- 10:11Speaker 2: eleven PM. Now inside, I guess you can keep your
- 10:15Speaker 2: lights on. But the proposed bill, it's already making its
- 10:18Speaker 2: way through Albany. The Dark Sky's Protection Act would regulate
- 10:22Speaker 2: outdoor lighting. In other words, you have a light on
- 10:24Speaker 2: your building, or a floodlight, or lights around your house,
- 10:28Speaker 2: they all have to be out at eleven PM. You
- 10:30Speaker 2: have to turn them off. This would include residential floodlights,
- 10:36Speaker 2: building uplighting, commercial spotlights, and billboards. You have to shut
- 10:41Speaker 2: everything off at eleven o'clock. The goal, they claim is
- 10:45Speaker 2: to preserve and enhance the state's dark sky while promoting
- 10:49Speaker 2: safety for people, birds, and other wildlife. What does that
- 10:55Speaker 2: even mean? Birds? I mean, if you walk around a
- 10:58Speaker 2: building with lights on it, you see dead birds all
- 11:02Speaker 2: around it that have crashed in. No, I've never seen that.
- 11:05Speaker 2: And what birds are flying around at midnight? I really
- 11:08Speaker 2: don't you ever see a bird at midnight? Never? It's
- 11:11Speaker 2: all about conserving energy, reducing our carbon footprint, you know,
- 11:16Speaker 2: it just never stops. First you had to switch to
- 11:19Speaker 2: these LED lights because that conserves electricity and one bulb
- 11:22Speaker 2: can last fifty billion years and it doesn't use any electrics.
- 11:25Speaker 2: But now you've got to shut those off too. Another
- 11:29Speaker 2: be exemptions obviously for emergency services, airports, construction sites. Times
- 11:37Speaker 2: Square got an exemption. Okay, Seasonal decorative lights and small
- 11:42Speaker 2: low wattage fixtures would also be exempt. Sports venues would
- 11:47Speaker 2: be exempt. Can you imagine if they had to turn
- 11:49Speaker 2: the lights off at eleven o'clock during a game. This
- 11:51Speaker 2: is the Democrats proposing this absolutely preposterous, ridiculous. The idea
- 11:57Speaker 2: of government is fill the potholes, make the streets safe,
- 12:01Speaker 2: run the police, run the fire department, that sort of stuff,
- 12:04Speaker 2: fixed the highways. It's not about regulating your life. It's
- 12:08Speaker 2: not telling you what you're allowed to do in your house,
- 12:11Speaker 2: what light bulb you're allowed to use, what lights you're
- 12:14Speaker 2: going to have outside your house, what time you have
- 12:16Speaker 2: to turn them up. This is not not the role
- 12:19Speaker 2: of government. Absolutely ridiculous. Hey, speaking of the Oscars, we
- 12:23Speaker 2: didn't get the ratings. Sht, I'll check on them. Oscar's
- 12:26Speaker 2: getting a lot of criticism, a lot of criticism for
- 12:31Speaker 2: what's his name, Avir Bardeen is yelling about Palestine or
- 12:36Speaker 2: whatever the hell he was yelling. Critics attacked him left
- 12:39Speaker 2: and right. He's got a history of anti Israel stuff,
- 12:42Speaker 2: and some even question why he was there. He had
- 12:44Speaker 2: no business being there, not nominated for anything, but it was,
- 12:49Speaker 2: as one person wrote. One critic wrote, if the Oscars
- 12:51Speaker 2: chose him anyway, it can only be described as open
- 12:55Speaker 2: hunting season on Jews worldwide by the Oscars. Well, anyway,
- 13:00Speaker 2: Saint Patrick's day today, so the parade will be on.
- 13:03Speaker 2: That'll be great. A lot of activity goes on all day.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Now you Just remember the parade will just cross gridlock
- 13:10Speaker 2: all over Manhattan in the middle of the day. But
- 13:12Speaker 2: then later in the day, just remember, wherever you go,
- 13:17Speaker 2: there's going to be a million drunken high school kids
- 13:20Speaker 2: from all over the Tri state area that come in
- 13:22Speaker 2: for this parade. There's going to be people throwing up
- 13:25Speaker 2: all over the streets. That tends to happen, So just
- 13:28Speaker 2: beware of that today or tonight if you're going out. Hey,
- 13:33Speaker 2: speaking of crazy Democrats, this may or mom Donnie now
- 13:36Speaker 2: wants to lower the speed limit to fifteen miles an
- 13:39Speaker 2: hour in school zones. You can't drive fifteen miles an hour.
- 13:44Speaker 2: It's impossible, it can't be done. Fifteen miles an hour.
- 13:50Speaker 2: The current speed limit in New York is twenty five.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I mean not that you can go twenty five. It
- 13:55Speaker 2: too much traffic most of the time. But one reason
- 13:58Speaker 2: you lower it too low is that way you can
- 14:00Speaker 2: just put in those speed cameras and make a fortune
- 14:03Speaker 2: giving out tickets. You just never stop with the tickets,
- 14:07Speaker 2: so it's a way of just generating lots and lots
- 14:10Speaker 2: and lots of revenue. Hey, there's a new book out.
- 14:13Speaker 2: If you're a big Apple fan, it's called The First
- 14:16Speaker 2: fifty Years, big collector's item. Yeah, it's right, Apple fifty
- 14:20Speaker 2: years April first. This April first, it'll be the fiftieth
- 14:25Speaker 2: anniversary of Apple. But the book takes you through the
- 14:28Speaker 2: five decades, key interviews with everybody that helped shape Apple.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Apple will be doing a lot of big fiftieth anniversary celebrations.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Now fifty years ago, when was that in nineteen seventy six?
- 14:41Speaker 2: What the hell did they do in nineteen seventy six?
- 14:43Speaker 2: What did they make in nineteen seventy six? I never
- 14:46Speaker 2: saw a computer in nineteen seventy six. Well, that's why
- 14:48Speaker 2: the book will be interesting. I think I saw the
- 14:51Speaker 2: first computers. I mean, you know, for people to use,
- 14:57Speaker 2: like in an office or somewhere. But what was it.
- 15:00Speaker 2: I think about eighty six, first time I saw computers
- 15:02Speaker 2: in an office eighty six. So for ten years, what
- 15:06Speaker 2: the hell were they doing? I don't know? And eighty
- 15:09Speaker 2: six the computers were those what do you call those
- 15:12Speaker 2: dos or whatever. It's just just text on a screen.
- 15:14Speaker 2: There was no picture of any kind. But the book
- 15:17Speaker 2: is coming out very expensive, but it'll be a great book.
- 15:21Speaker 2: He will take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred
- 15:24Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten? Is the number eight
- 15:27Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:31Speaker 5: Get instant access to Mark by setting a pre set
- 15:34Speaker 5: in the iHeart Radio app for his live show and
- 15:37Speaker 5: his podcast. Now back to the Mark Simone show on want.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. There's open lines here, I've
- 15:46Speaker 2: never seen that before. Or there's only two calls? What's
- 15:48Speaker 2: going on? Is it Saint Patrick's day? What is it dead?
- 15:52Speaker 6: Oh?
- 15:53Speaker 2: No, eight hundred what's the number here? Eight hundred three
- 15:55Speaker 2: to two one zero seven ten, eight hundred three two
- 15:59Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Let's go to Virginia Massive Peak,
- 16:03Speaker 2: What Park, Virginia?
- 16:05Speaker 7: Good morning, Good morning Mark. Yes, So I just wanted
- 16:09Speaker 7: to say that I started listening to you to seven
- 16:12Speaker 7: ten am when Curtis was filling in your spot, and
- 16:15Speaker 7: I was so I was saying how excited I was.
- 16:17Speaker 7: Curtis was there, but I just wanted to say I've
- 16:19Speaker 7: been listening in the morning when I'm driving to work,
- 16:21Speaker 7: and today i'm off I get to catch you a show,
- 16:24Speaker 7: and I'm so seven ten is so awesome that I
- 16:28Speaker 7: don't I can't believe that nobody meant that, nobody knows
- 16:32Speaker 7: that I just didn't know. I was so stuck on
- 16:33Speaker 7: listening to that other station because I like Curtis and
- 16:37Speaker 7: a couple of people. But seven ten is so awesome.
- 16:39Speaker 7: Larry is really great. Your show is great, and I'll
- 16:42Speaker 7: be telling everybody about it's it's it's just such a
- 16:45Speaker 7: bright spot.
- 16:47Speaker 2: The other station is very good, but this is iHeart.
- 16:50Speaker 7: The other station sucks. Its very I hear Greg Kelly
- 16:53Speaker 7: is feeling your stuff.
- 16:54Speaker 3: I believe that.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I believe it or not.
- 16:55Speaker 8: I know me.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Greg Kelly and I are good friends. We talk all
- 16:59Speaker 2: the time. I steal stuff, he steals my stuff. We
- 17:03Speaker 2: go back and all right, well, no, I'm serious. In fact,
- 17:05Speaker 2: last week I stole more stuff from him than he stole. Yeah, I.
- 17:11Speaker 7: Just he kind of I got soured on him when
- 17:14Speaker 7: he just turned into the whole Curtis bashing thing, and
- 17:17Speaker 7: that just really pissed me off.
- 17:18Speaker 6: And I actually I really.
- 17:19Speaker 7: Liked listening to Kelly. But I don't go out anymore.
- 17:22Speaker 2: You know, the other station's good, but remember this is iHeart.
- 17:25Speaker 2: We're like the the New York Yankees.
- 17:27Speaker 6: Here.
- 17:27Speaker 2: You got Sean Handy in the afternoon, we got Jimmy Fayle.
- 17:30Speaker 2: At night, we got Buck and Clay. I mean, look around,
- 17:33Speaker 2: look over there down the hall, that's Charlemagne broadcasting down
- 17:36Speaker 2: that way. You got Elvis Duran, you got the biggest
- 17:38Speaker 2: names in radio here.
- 17:40Speaker 7: So well, just I just wanted to tell you that
- 17:42Speaker 7: I'm just really happy I found the station.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Hey, why why do you have much off from work?
- 17:46Speaker 2: Why are you off from work today?
- 17:48Speaker 7: I'm off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, on my regular days off.
- 17:51Speaker 2: What the hell kind of job do you you must
- 17:53Speaker 2: be in?
- 17:54Speaker 7: Monday's a holiday. I have three days off. Thursday, Thanksgiving,
- 17:57Speaker 7: I have three days off. I have no complaints about
- 17:59Speaker 7: my schedule. This is awesome.
- 18:00Speaker 2: What do you do?
- 18:04Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I'm sorry. Nothing shady, nothing shady. I just
- 18:08Speaker 7: can't say it on the radio because I work for
- 18:10Speaker 7: a company and I have very different views from all
- 18:12Speaker 7: these liberal you know, I just can't.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Say all right, all right, Well, good call, Thanks for Colin,
- 18:18Speaker 2: keep listening. Glad you found us. Let's go to Larry
- 18:22Speaker 2: and Cranford. Larry, how you doing?
- 18:25Speaker 9: Hey, Mark Coy, you know about how your barred them.
- 18:27Speaker 9: Doesn't that not know that a quarter of the people
- 18:31Speaker 9: in that audience he's screaming for free Palestine. They would
- 18:35Speaker 9: have been thrown off the roof in Palestine to being LGBTQ.
- 18:40Speaker 9: Could there could be a free Palestine. They have a
- 18:43Speaker 9: nice piece of real estate there. It just can't be
- 18:45Speaker 9: run by Humas who's screaming death to Israel every two minutes.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Yeah, well listen, that's they're just they are crazy. That's
- 18:52Speaker 2: why they're actors. But thanks for Colin. Let's go to
- 18:56Speaker 2: Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 18:59Speaker 8: Good morning, Malcome morning matter Mark. I believe with some
- 19:02Speaker 8: of the gas price increases at the pump in New
- 19:05Speaker 8: York all over the country, I actually think it's price
- 19:08Speaker 8: gouger because please, somebody don't tell me that the gas
- 19:13Speaker 8: in the storage tanks wasn't there before the start of
- 19:18Speaker 8: the war three weeks ago. The fuel delivery trucks that
- 19:21Speaker 8: bring the trucks to the gas station, they have to
- 19:24Speaker 8: go to these massive tanks to fuel up. Why all
- 19:27Speaker 8: those trucks were empty at the start. All those tanks
- 19:30Speaker 8: were empty at the start of the war, and they
- 19:33Speaker 8: had to bite the gas at top dollar prices. First off,
- 19:37Speaker 8: that gas was refined six months ago. So me personally,
- 19:42Speaker 8: I believe that there is price gouger going.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Absolutely no we have all the gas we need here,
- 19:46Speaker 2: we've had it, and we don't take it. We get
- 19:48Speaker 2: no gas in this country. We get no gas from
- 19:50Speaker 2: the Straits of Horror. Mooes. That's China, Iran that India
- 19:54Speaker 2: gets another.
- 19:56Speaker 8: This lights out law is crazy because I remember in
- 20:00Speaker 8: the nineteen fifties when they passed the law that homeowners
- 20:04Speaker 8: had to put on the outside entrance of their buildings
- 20:08Speaker 8: lights because the theory was at the time that more
- 20:12Speaker 8: lights on the street would reduce street crime, adding the
- 20:16Speaker 8: way it does. I mean, you're old enough to remember
- 20:20Speaker 8: when there was the blackout in New York City and
- 20:23Speaker 8: everything was out. It was kind of dangerous to go
- 20:26Speaker 8: out on the street because it was like a doctor's
- 20:29Speaker 8: that that was probably like from wwsome buggy days. So
- 20:34Speaker 8: what are they talking about.
- 20:35Speaker 2: It's just crazy. They're Democrats, They're crazy. They think it'll
- 20:38Speaker 2: conserve energy. They want the lights, and maybe it's to
- 20:40Speaker 2: help the criminals, maybe make it easier for them.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Mark.
- 20:43Speaker 8: A couple of years ago, I actually received a ticket
- 20:46Speaker 8: because they said an inspector went around in the middle
- 20:50Speaker 8: of the night and the lights are supposed to go
- 20:53Speaker 8: off automatically at six o'clock In the morning and my
- 20:57Speaker 8: lights went off for four o'clock. First thought I thought
- 20:59Speaker 8: it was there's a bunch of bs, because I said,
- 21:02Speaker 8: what inspector is driving around at four o'clock? And it
- 21:06Speaker 8: was a rust to make money.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a New York City inspector. They're just there
- 21:10Speaker 2: for revenue and Vincent milon hour. Yeah, just to get revenue. Vincent,
- 21:16Speaker 2: we got to go do the news. Thanks for calling,
- 21:18Speaker 2: Great cau because when we come back, the greatest living DJ,
- 21:21Speaker 2: the legend himself, scotch Shannon will be with us in
- 21:24Speaker 2: a moment.
- 21:25Speaker 1: His job make it all make sense. He's marks alone
- 21:30Speaker 1: on sevent ten.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Well with us right now, the greatest living DJ in
- 21:38Speaker 2: the world, the legend, the man himself, Scott Shannon. True
- 21:41Speaker 2: Oldies Channel. You can listen to him there and of
- 21:44Speaker 2: course you can see the great documentary about Z one
- 21:47Speaker 2: hundred from Worse to First And he's on the line now,
- 21:50Speaker 2: Scott Shannon, how you doing.
- 21:53Speaker 6: Good morning, Mark and a happy Saint Pat view'sday to
- 21:56Speaker 6: all of our Irish friends. Today should be a great day.
- 22:01Speaker 6: You're having a great show today and I'm happy to
- 22:03Speaker 6: be on it.
- 22:04Speaker 2: I forgot every where did you do Saint Patrick's Day
- 22:07Speaker 2: every every year. Used to have a business.
- 22:09Speaker 6: I always had some kind of goofy remote broadcast. When
- 22:13Speaker 6: I was working with Todd, we go out to Jersey
- 22:16Speaker 6: somewhere Long Island and have you know, she Ley's shaken
- 22:20Speaker 6: good time.
- 22:22Speaker 2: So what'd you think of the Oscars?
- 22:25Speaker 6: Well, they had some. You know, it's kind of weird
- 22:32Speaker 6: because nobody that you know, us lay people, we had
- 22:36Speaker 6: no idea what movies were, you know, what the who
- 22:39Speaker 6: the stars were, what movies were. We knew a couple
- 22:42Speaker 6: of them, but not that many. I mean, I thought
- 22:45Speaker 6: it was grass. Michael Jordan was great for Sinners. And
- 22:50Speaker 6: I felt bad for Diane Warren. You know her, You've
- 22:53Speaker 6: known her for a long time, right, Yeah, she's a
- 22:57Speaker 6: She's now a record holder. She had a lot, She's
- 23:01Speaker 6: got the longest Oscars losing streak. She's been nominated seventeen
- 23:07Speaker 6: times and hasn't won one award yet.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, listen, Susan Lucy had the same problem with
- 23:14Speaker 2: those stupid Emmys, and she finally one.
- 23:17Speaker 6: But she Diane has written some of the greatest songs
- 23:21Speaker 6: ever in the forty era, and very nicely too, And
- 23:25Speaker 6: so someday I think she'll get on there. I think
- 23:28Speaker 6: she'll win something. By the way, I got to a
- 23:31Speaker 6: shout out to my Pali Mazilli and his wife Danny.
- 23:35Speaker 6: They had moved to Florida a few years ago, and
- 23:39Speaker 6: today they're selling their house and they're moving back to
- 23:45Speaker 6: west Chester or Greenwich. I can't believe it. They're packing
- 23:48Speaker 6: right now.
- 23:49Speaker 2: And that's good to hear. Peter. There are now you
- 23:51Speaker 2: go back and forth Florida, New York, but there are
- 23:54Speaker 2: people moving back. They've had enough of Florida, aren't There
- 23:57Speaker 2: are a few right.
- 23:59Speaker 6: Well, you don't see that many. It's kind of it
- 24:01Speaker 6: is kind of weird. I mean, especially if if you
- 24:05Speaker 6: don't like snow. It's not a good idea. They don't
- 24:08Speaker 6: want to move back there, and Lee just couldn't take anymore.
- 24:13Speaker 6: Danny could stay, but Lee wants to get the heck
- 24:15Speaker 6: out of here. You know, he's going into the Mets
- 24:17Speaker 6: Hall of Fame very soon.
- 24:20Speaker 2: So hey talk about our friend Ernie Anastes, who we lost.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Funerals later today for Ernie Anastes.
- 24:30Speaker 6: And you know, he lived for a long time at
- 24:33Speaker 6: a place you and I know pretty well, Westchester Country Club,
- 24:37Speaker 6: and he lived right off the South course for quite
- 24:41Speaker 6: some time. He was such a gentleman and so nice
- 24:45Speaker 6: to everybody.
- 24:46Speaker 9: I was.
- 24:46Speaker 6: I I've been on his show several times when he
- 24:50Speaker 6: had whatever did he'd called me, and I remember I
- 25:01Speaker 6: had to do my duty as a New York City
- 25:04Speaker 6: morning man when he had that little faux paw. Remember
- 25:07Speaker 6: when he was talking about the chicken.
- 25:14Speaker 10: And the funny thing about it was he didn't even
- 25:17Speaker 10: know that he put the f in where the p
- 25:21Speaker 10: goes and he said it and he thought it was
- 25:25Speaker 10: pretty fun Well, it takes a happy man, he thought.
- 25:29Speaker 6: He said, pluck a chicken. And who who was the
- 25:33Speaker 6: sidekick at the time. The funny thing about it was
- 25:36Speaker 6: a look on her face. She froze. And I mean
- 25:40Speaker 6: there were so many memes offline with the third picture.
- 25:44Speaker 6: And then he came back something somebody told him after
- 25:48Speaker 6: they went into a commercial break and he had said that,
- 25:51Speaker 6: and he says, oh my god, you know how he is,
- 25:53Speaker 6: he said, so he went back on I apologize somewhehow
- 25:59Speaker 6: some a bad word manager get on the air. I
- 26:02Speaker 6: don't know where it came from. It was pretty funny,
- 26:07Speaker 6: but that was that was probably the only time I've
- 26:10Speaker 6: ever seen him. You know, mix up and a little
- 26:13Speaker 6: bit worried about what happened. Yeah, pretty smooth operator, wasn't he.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Yeah? I remember he called me that night. He goes,
- 26:21Speaker 2: what do I do? I said, nothing, enjoy it, it'll
- 26:23Speaker 2: go away. Yeah, let it go.
- 26:25Speaker 6: You know he's he had such a great track record.
- 26:28Speaker 6: One mistake like that certainly didn't tarnish it.
- 26:31Speaker 11: No.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Hey, you know back in the good old days, you know,
- 26:35Speaker 2: you come on the air every morning, you talk about
- 26:37Speaker 2: something on TV last night that we all saw, everybody
- 26:40Speaker 2: saw it. You can't do that anymore. There's fifteen million
- 26:43Speaker 2: things on television, streaming everything. There's nothing that everybody watches anymore.
- 26:48Speaker 6: You hit her on the head man. It's just even
- 26:52Speaker 6: though the series that my wife watches, you know, like
- 26:57Speaker 6: Yellow is Stone and all that, you see some people
- 27:00Speaker 6: that's their life. They love those Oh please. You know,
- 27:04Speaker 6: I would never dream of watching an episode without my
- 27:07Speaker 6: husband with me or my wife. But then you run
- 27:10Speaker 6: into people have no idea what the hell you're talking about.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Even American Idol, you know that used to be an
- 27:16Speaker 2: a whole nation would watch that, the whole country would
- 27:18Speaker 2: be voting, do you Nowadays a lot of people don't
- 27:21Speaker 2: even know town anymore.
- 27:23Speaker 6: By the way, speaking of American idol, I got a
- 27:26Speaker 6: buddy on there, a kid that I've followed his career
- 27:28Speaker 6: for I don't know, maybe ten years now. His name
- 27:31Speaker 6: is Jake Thistle. He was on last night. He did
- 27:35Speaker 6: a Huget Lewis song called The Power of Love. Are
- 27:39Speaker 6: you aware of Jake's adventure? No, he's twenty one years old.
- 27:45Speaker 6: He's been singing since he was seven or eight years old,
- 27:48Speaker 6: doing gigs. I mean the guy he knew he was
- 27:52Speaker 6: one of those people like you and me, we knew
- 27:54Speaker 6: what we wanted to do, and this guy wants to
- 27:57Speaker 6: be a singer, guitar player song. He's twenty one, he
- 28:02Speaker 6: graduated from Ruggers and he's on idle and he's very popular.
- 28:08Speaker 6: The girls loved this guy. Remember we used to do this.
- 28:13Speaker 6: Todd and I used to do this Blightdale Children's Hospital
- 28:16Speaker 6: show every year.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:18Speaker 6: Well, on our last show that we did from there
- 28:22Speaker 6: back in well, Todd went with me then I was
- 28:25Speaker 6: over at CBSFM. But back in twenty twenty two, Jake
- 28:29Speaker 6: performed for the kids of Blightdale and I've known him
- 28:32Speaker 6: eber since then. The guy's great. You gotta see him.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Yeah, so even nowadays, you know, you could be the
- 28:40Speaker 2: biggest star in music, number one, fifteen, number one records
- 28:44Speaker 2: a row and half the way doesn't know who you
- 28:46Speaker 2: are anymore. People over forty don't know who you are.
- 28:49Speaker 2: It's a stranger now that I think.
- 28:55Speaker 6: I still try to stay up, but you know, obviously
- 28:58Speaker 6: that's not the kind of music I'm playing now. I
- 29:01Speaker 6: play sixties and seventies on my show. But nevertheless, I
- 29:06Speaker 6: have no clue some of these people, I say, who
- 29:08Speaker 6: the heck is that? I have no idea?
- 29:11Speaker 2: Well, if you want to listen to Scott chen True
- 29:13Speaker 2: Oldies Channel, what's the best way to listen here in
- 29:15Speaker 2: New York?
- 29:17Speaker 6: Stop in the Alexa. Just go Alexa, play Scott Shannon's
- 29:21Speaker 6: True Oldies. Yeah, over there on HD three ninety two
- 29:28Speaker 6: point three FM HD three And if you've got an
- 29:33Speaker 6: AC rail. Some people don't even know they have an
- 29:35Speaker 6: HD radio in their cars. Either way, I got to
- 29:39Speaker 6: mention this to you. We've missed you. The other night.
- 29:42Speaker 6: You usually show up at these events. There was a
- 29:45Speaker 6: big party at the Plaza Hotel, you know, for the
- 29:49Speaker 6: Broadcasting Foundation Awards. Galla and I saw your friend Cancer medids.
- 29:54Speaker 6: He asked me where you were.
- 29:56Speaker 2: I didn't know about it. They keep it a secret.
- 29:58Speaker 2: They don't tell anybody.
- 29:59Speaker 6: It's I never had big awards. Steven A. Smith got
- 30:03Speaker 6: up there. He got a big award from ESPN. Judge
- 30:06Speaker 6: Judy got an award. She announced she's retiring and her
- 30:11Speaker 6: son is going to take over the show.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Oh my god. That doesn't sound good, doesn't It.
- 30:16Speaker 6: Looks so funny. You know, she's even shorter now than
- 30:18Speaker 6: she was before when she was on TV all the time. Yeah,
- 30:22Speaker 6: and she's standing next to Stephen H.
- 30:25Speaker 3: Smith.
- 30:26Speaker 6: She looked like his little daughter.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Well, Scott Channon, great stuff. Listen to him on the
- 30:31Speaker 2: True Oldies Channel. Uh, and I think you're it's also
- 30:33Speaker 2: on the iHeart app right, you can get the True
- 30:35Speaker 2: Oldiest channel.
- 30:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I said, we're on iHeart. Of course you are.
- 30:38Speaker 6: It's True Oldie. You can listen on your phone True
- 30:41Speaker 6: Oldies Channel at iHeart dot com.
- 30:45Speaker 2: All right, well, Scott Channon, we'll do it again soon.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Thanks for being with us.
- 30:49Speaker 6: By Mark, you're talking to you b Saint Patrick's today.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Take care. Thanks. Yeah, we'll get back to Saint Patrick's
- 30:56Speaker 2: staying a little while. Don't forget the parade's gonna snarl
- 30:59Speaker 2: up traffic every which way. Then Buck and Clay will
- 31:02Speaker 2: be here today at noon right after the news. You
- 31:05Speaker 2: got Sean Handy, a lot of the Irish on the
- 31:07Speaker 2: show on the station today, Sean Hannity three to six,
- 31:10Speaker 2: and don't forget to Jesse Kelly six o'clock and the
- 31:13Speaker 2: Great Jimmy Fayla every night at nine. And Curtis is back.
- 31:17Speaker 2: You can now hear him every morning on seven to
- 31:19Speaker 2: ten WR.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Here's more of the Mark Simone Show on w R.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Well, Hey, did anybody watch the Oscars? How did it
- 31:29Speaker 2: do well? We'll get the ratings. We'll get to the
- 31:31Speaker 2: exact numbers coming up right after the news. Also, Bill
- 31:34Speaker 2: O'Reilly will be with us, and a whole lot more
- 31:36Speaker 2: to get to in the next hour. I'm here ten
- 31:38Speaker 2: to noon every day right here on seven ten WR.
- 31:43Speaker 1: So Mark Simone Show continues WR.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Well, it's Saint Patrick's Day and it's a lot of
- 31:53Speaker 2: fun in New York. It's a bit of a mess.
- 31:56Speaker 2: The parade begins around now and go till this afternoon,
- 32:01Speaker 2: and then it never ends because millions of people show
- 32:04Speaker 2: up with this parade and they don't just leave immediately,
- 32:06Speaker 2: they linger around, throw up all over the place where
- 32:10Speaker 2: all sorts of green stuff, invade every pub, bar, tavern, restaurant, everything,
- 32:15Speaker 2: So it'll be going on all day to day. Hey,
- 32:19Speaker 2: the Oscars, it was I don't know. It wasn't a
- 32:24Speaker 2: great Oscar ceremony. It wasn't a horrendous Oscar ceremony. They
- 32:28Speaker 2: did tone down the political nonsense. There was that one
- 32:33Speaker 2: idiot yelling about free Palestine, and then there was Jimmy Kimmel,
- 32:37Speaker 2: who is just an angry, angry, bitter guy. Can you
- 32:42Speaker 2: metch If you had Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel and
- 32:44Speaker 2: you had an angry contest, it could be the angrier guy.
- 32:48Speaker 2: And then he's doing this interview started to go viral.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Afterwards there were reporters asking him something and he says said,
- 32:55Speaker 2: he's exhausted, exhausted by the state of the world. You're
- 33:01Speaker 2: a comedian, you don't have to be exhausted. Johnny Carson,
- 33:06Speaker 2: we were talking about him yesterday, the whole Vietnam War.
- 33:09Speaker 2: He's on the air, having fun every night. He's on
- 33:12Speaker 2: the air, through assassinations and Kennedy assassination, Martin Luther King
- 33:17Speaker 2: assassination riots all over the place in nineteen sixty. He's
- 33:21Speaker 2: on the air through all of this. He's not exhausted.
- 33:24Speaker 2: He's making the country laugh every night, But Jimmy Kimmel
- 33:27Speaker 2: is exhausted by the state of the world. Then he
- 33:31Speaker 2: went on to brand the United States a ridiculous country.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Kimmel said, he was over the US. This is on
- 33:41Speaker 2: the red carpet. It's a ridiculous country. We're ridiculous. It's
- 33:46Speaker 2: a ridiculous country. Just an angry, angry, bitter guy. You know,
- 33:52Speaker 2: late night television used to be Johnny Carson was nothing
- 33:55Speaker 2: but fun, Jayleno, big happy guy, nothing but fun, the
- 33:59Speaker 2: greatest monologue. It used to be Dick Cavit.
- 34:04Speaker 3: You know.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Cavot was fun, also very highbrow. He'd be interviewing you know,
- 34:11Speaker 2: Katherine Hepburn and Fred Astaire and all these big guess
- 34:14Speaker 2: that don't normally do talk shows. And then and then
- 34:19Speaker 2: Conan O'Brien came along. All right, he wasn't the greatest,
- 34:22Speaker 2: but happy fun. And then Jimmy Fallon takes over the
- 34:26Speaker 2: Tonight Show and he was happy and fun. And then
- 34:30Speaker 2: Colbert comes along with his ugly, angry, bitter hate kind
- 34:34Speaker 2: of show and it starts to beat Colbert Fallon. So
- 34:39Speaker 2: Fallen says, well, maybe I better do that. He tries
- 34:41Speaker 2: to get vicious and ugly with the political jokes, but
- 34:43Speaker 2: it doesn't work with Fallon, he's too nice a guy.
- 34:46Speaker 2: But the whole thing went downhill after Colbert. Then they
- 34:50Speaker 2: put on Kimmel, who used to be a comedian. Now
- 34:53Speaker 2: he decides it's angry bitter Trump bashing hate speech. Just
- 34:57Speaker 2: I mean, the whole idea of the late night television
- 35:00Speaker 2: The Tonight Show was really created by Steve Allen. The
- 35:02Speaker 2: whole idea was entertainment, light, fun, entertainment right before you
- 35:07Speaker 2: go to sleep. The Tonight Show. Now it's like, why
- 35:10Speaker 2: would you want to if you're a big Trump hater,
- 35:14Speaker 2: why would you want to watch Colbert? This angry bitter
- 35:16Speaker 2: guy riley up about Trump, just get your even angrier
- 35:19Speaker 2: about Trump right before you go to sleep. Doesn't make
- 35:22Speaker 2: a lot of sense. These guys killed the whole genre.
- 35:26Speaker 2: It's about to go. Colbert has been fired. When he
- 35:28Speaker 2: goes off the air and may watch they're going to
- 35:30Speaker 2: replace him with a game show or something else and
- 35:33Speaker 2: it'll get triple the ratings. Kimmel is next. He's doesn't
- 35:36Speaker 2: really have a new contract. They gave him an extension
- 35:38Speaker 2: of his old contract for a year, which is a
- 35:41Speaker 2: very insulting thing to do. No new contract, Well, just
- 35:44Speaker 2: extend this one one year, so that'll be up in
- 35:47Speaker 2: six months, and then that'll be the end of that,
- 35:49Speaker 2: and then it'll be Fallin all alone, and if he's smart,
- 35:52Speaker 2: he'll go back to what the tonight shows supposed to
- 35:54Speaker 2: be fun entertainment, lighthearted. It should be pretty good. Kim
- 36:00Speaker 2: Well also went after Milania Trump for that documentary. He
- 36:06Speaker 2: attacked her documentary. It's just pathetic, awful. It didn't win
- 36:11Speaker 2: anything and didn't get nominated, and he went on and on,
- 36:14Speaker 2: and of course the critics pointing out it's not eligible
- 36:17Speaker 2: because it didn't come out in twenty twenty five. It
- 36:21Speaker 2: came out in twenty twenty six. It's not eligible to
- 36:24Speaker 2: be nominated. But the question is, how did the Oscars
- 36:29Speaker 2: do ratings wise? Well, let me just put it in perspective.
- 36:34Speaker 2: What was the biggest Oscars? I think ninety eight, nineteen
- 36:37Speaker 2: ninety eight, the Oscars got fifty eight million viewers nineteen
- 36:41Speaker 2: ninety eight, fifty eight million. Now what was the worst one?
- 36:46Speaker 2: I think it was twenty twenty one. It's kind of
- 36:50Speaker 2: a pandemic that it was towards the end of the pandemic.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Twenty twenty one. Oscar's got ten million, ten million. Now,
- 37:01Speaker 2: last year, the Oscars made a bit of a recovery.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Last year the Oscars got twenty million viewers, twenty million
- 37:12Speaker 2: this year, this past Sunday night, the Oscars got fifteen million.
- 37:20Speaker 2: So it's down from last year, down a lot from
- 37:23Speaker 2: last year fifteen million. And it should have been a
- 37:26Speaker 2: good year because it was on ABC TV, it was
- 37:28Speaker 2: also streaming, and it was also on YouTube. There were
- 37:32Speaker 2: a lot of ways to watch it. But I got
- 37:34Speaker 2: fifteen million. Fifty four percent of that ABC television, the
- 37:39Speaker 2: ABC network that was only really about half watched it
- 37:43Speaker 2: on the network, thirty percent watched it on streaming, sixteen
- 37:48Speaker 2: percent watched it on YouTube. So and I think this
- 37:52Speaker 2: isn't this the last year on ABC. I think it
- 37:54Speaker 2: goes to YouTube after that. So it's really kind of
- 37:58Speaker 2: the last I mean, network TV really is just shrinking
- 38:01Speaker 2: and shrinking and shrinking and shrinking. Things like the Oscars
- 38:05Speaker 2: don't get what the audience it used to get. The
- 38:07Speaker 2: only thing left they really have his sports football, baseball,
- 38:13Speaker 2: but they're starting to lose that. For instance, the Yankees
- 38:15Speaker 2: opening day to day, it's going to be on a Netflix.
- 38:18Speaker 2: It won't be on television, Netflix, Amazon. All in talks
- 38:22Speaker 2: with the NFL as we speak about taking away from
- 38:27Speaker 2: the networks, they speaking of the Oscars Barbara streisand they
- 38:32Speaker 2: finally got her. They were trying to get her there.
- 38:34Speaker 2: She has a manager. He's a wonderful guy, Marty Erlickman.
- 38:40Speaker 2: He just retired her manager. He retired at the age
- 38:44Speaker 2: of ninety six. Now. He was their manager from the
- 38:48Speaker 2: day she started in show business, which is like nineteen
- 38:51Speaker 2: sixty two she first became famous. Was it sixty two
- 38:55Speaker 2: or sixty three? She was this unknown singer from Brooklyn.
- 38:59Speaker 2: She was a little placed downtown I think was called
- 39:01Speaker 2: the Bone sois that's where she first got noticed and
- 39:04Speaker 2: got famous. He was the manager then, So for her
- 39:08Speaker 2: entire career, he was the manager. He's ninety six years old.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Just decided to retire this past week. People were stunned
- 39:16Speaker 2: that he announced his retirement. He had his office phone
- 39:20Speaker 2: disconnected and that's when they knew he was serious. But
- 39:24Speaker 2: he's actually retired, you know. Stephanie Rule that MSNBC nut,
- 39:30Speaker 2: so she's on yelling about Trump. She said, the real scandal,
- 39:34Speaker 2: what's really disgusting is everybody has his phone number, his
- 39:38Speaker 2: cell phone number, you know, in the first term, like
- 39:42Speaker 2: every other president. When he took office, they took his
- 39:44Speaker 2: cell phone away. And that's what happens when you're president.
- 39:48Speaker 2: They take your cell phone and they hand you a
- 39:50Speaker 2: cell phone. It's a special presidential cell phone. This is
- 39:54Speaker 2: the cell phone you will use from now on. It's
- 39:57Speaker 2: a special presidential cell phone. And it has nothing in
- 40:00Speaker 2: it. It can make a call, it can receive a call,
- 40:03Speaker 2: but everything else. It's an iPhone, but it's been gutted.
- 40:06Speaker 2: There's nothing else in it. It's got all kinds of
- 40:08Speaker 2: security technology so you can't hack it. And that was
- 40:12Speaker 2: all he could use is that special cell phone. And
- 40:16Speaker 2: they were very careful about who had the number. And
- 40:18Speaker 2: if he called you from it on your caller ID,
- 40:22Speaker 2: it would be such weird. The caller ID would say
- 40:25Speaker 2: one minus zero x three squared. It would have like
- 40:30Speaker 2: this weird. So I funnily ask somebody what that was.
- 40:32Speaker 2: It's they're calling you through a scrambler. So that's a scrambler.
- 40:36Speaker 2: So you get no caller. Id Well, when he got
- 40:38Speaker 2: back for the second term, they got that presidential stelf.
- 40:43Speaker 2: But he decided he would keep his own cell phone,
- 40:45Speaker 2: his own private iPhone, his regular iPhone, and he gave
- 40:49Speaker 2: the number. Everybody has the number. Everybody he knows. You
- 40:53Speaker 2: can text him whenever you want, you can call them
- 40:55Speaker 2: whenever you want, and whenever he'd see a big ceo,
- 40:58Speaker 2: Tim Cook or Zuckerberg or any of those guys, say
- 41:02Speaker 2: you have my cell number. Here, take my cell number.
- 41:04Speaker 2: If you have any problems, call me. Now. This drove
- 41:07Speaker 2: Washington crazy. You're not supposed to be able to just
- 41:10Speaker 2: call the president. Now you know who really got crazy
- 41:12Speaker 2: about this, Congress. This really bugged them because if you
- 41:18Speaker 2: and he would say right in the meeting, you have
- 41:21Speaker 2: all the Silicon Valley tech CEOs, if you need anything,
- 41:25Speaker 2: just call me. This is the last thing politicians want.
- 41:30Speaker 2: If you can, you say you have a problem, you
- 41:32Speaker 2: can call the president. Piece there's a new law, regulation
- 41:36Speaker 2: or something you need looked at, you could call him
- 41:40Speaker 2: and he'll look at it. They don't like that. This
- 41:43Speaker 2: is the worst thing you can do to Washington. What
- 41:45Speaker 2: they want is the old system where if you had
- 41:48Speaker 2: a law or regulation or something. You wanted to do something,
- 41:51Speaker 2: you went out and you hired a lobbyist. You hired
- 41:53Speaker 2: a lobbying for him. He gave them twenty million bucks
- 41:56Speaker 2: to the lobby for you, and they would give it
- 41:58Speaker 2: to the politicians. That's what Schumer and those people do
- 42:02Speaker 2: for a living. They collect money from these lobbyists. Not
- 42:06Speaker 2: that they put it in their pocket, who knows. But
- 42:08Speaker 2: what they do is when they were going to run
- 42:10Speaker 2: for office, Hey can you donate a million? Can you
- 42:12Speaker 2: donate fifty thousand? Can you donate three hundred and eighty thousand? Yeah,
- 42:16Speaker 2: of course, and they put it in your pack, your
- 42:19Speaker 2: political pack, your super pack. And that's what you do.
- 42:23Speaker 2: If you're Schumer and you're going to run for reelection,
- 42:25Speaker 2: you need twenty five million, you call these lobbyists. They'll
- 42:28Speaker 2: raise it for you in two seconds and donate it.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Now you got twenty five million to run, Well, if
- 42:34Speaker 2: you can just call the president, he'll take care of
- 42:36Speaker 2: it faster than Schumer will and you don't have to
- 42:38Speaker 2: hire the lobbyists. So all the politicians are fuming, all
- 42:42Speaker 2: the lobbyists are all upset. This is the worst thing
- 42:44Speaker 2: that ever happened to him. And Stephanie Rule is here.
- 42:47Speaker 2: She is yelling and screaming. This is disgusting. All they
- 42:50Speaker 2: have to do is pick up the phone and call
- 42:51Speaker 2: the president. That's access that they shouldn't have. It creates
- 42:57Speaker 2: political influence. Well, either way, they got the political influence.
- 43:00Speaker 2: This way, you call the president, you tell them the problem,
- 43:02Speaker 2: and he doesn't bend over backwards for these guys. He's
- 43:06Speaker 2: the first guy to stand up to these guys if
- 43:08Speaker 2: he doesn't agree. But otherwise you had the same political influence.
- 43:12Speaker 2: You's had to pay for it. So Trump is taking
- 43:15Speaker 2: their business model and just shattered it. You're speaking of Congress.
- 43:19Speaker 2: They always talk about the president's approval ratings. They keep
- 43:22Speaker 2: this very quiet, and the polling companies keep it very quiet.
- 43:25Speaker 2: But right now Congress Democrats in Congress have the lowest
- 43:30Speaker 2: approval rating in the history of polling. Schumer Hakeem Jeffries
- 43:35Speaker 2: a gift CNN credit. They had their pole guy with
- 43:38Speaker 2: the map showing the polls and he actually put this
- 43:41Speaker 2: on the air on CNN. Democrats in Congress have the
- 43:44Speaker 2: lowest approval rating of anything anything anywhere in history. Right now. Hey,
- 43:51Speaker 2: people are always asking about these Tucker Carlson Megan Kelly,
- 43:58Speaker 2: who else, Candace Owens? Why are they making these crazy
- 44:02Speaker 2: comments all the time? And now here's Piers Morgan. Pierre's
- 44:05Speaker 2: Morgan going on and on about how bad the president is.
- 44:08Speaker 2: The President doesn't have a clue. President Trump is clueless.
- 44:12Speaker 2: His missing statements have changed by the hour that people
- 44:14Speaker 2: are surprised. Well, wait a minute, Piers Morgan was so
- 44:18Speaker 2: such good friends with President Trump, he was on the
- 44:20Speaker 2: Apprentice with him. What's going on? Well, he's starting a
- 44:25Speaker 2: new network. He's raised thirty million dollars and he wants
- 44:27Speaker 2: to start a new network. And what do you do
- 44:29Speaker 2: when you want to start You try to get yourself headlines.
- 44:32Speaker 2: You try to be a big part of the news cycle.
- 44:35Speaker 2: You try to go viral. That's why Tucker Carlson, Megan Kelly,
- 44:39Speaker 2: they're the two wackiest. They're like the they're the new
- 44:42Speaker 2: Alex Jones. They just want to go viral. And now
- 44:45Speaker 2: the problem is if you say something wacky, something outrageous,
- 44:49Speaker 2: and it's everywhere, it's on every website, it goes viral.
- 44:52Speaker 2: It's all over Twitter, it's all over the place. They're
- 44:54Speaker 2: talking about it on msnbc C. You totally dominate the
- 44:58Speaker 2: news cycle for a day. It's addictive. You really get addicted.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Now next week you got to come up with another
- 45:03Speaker 2: crazy thing to say. So that's what these these types do.
- 45:07Speaker 2: Tucker Carlson started claiming earlier this week the CIA was
- 45:13Speaker 2: out to get him. The CIA has been doing surveillance.
- 45:15Speaker 2: The CIA is about to indict him. They're going to
- 45:18Speaker 2: accuse him of war crimes. He was talking to somebody
- 45:21Speaker 2: in Iran. Guarantee you the CI couldn't care less about
- 45:25Speaker 2: Tucker Carlson. But it's outrageous. They're going to charge him
- 45:29Speaker 2: onder the Foreign Agent Act. And it works. It got
- 45:33Speaker 2: him all over the news. If you were watching Saturday
- 45:35Speaker 2: Night Live, some guy came out and did Tucker Carlson.
- 45:38Speaker 2: He was a parodied on Saturday Night Live. So he's
- 45:41Speaker 2: going to keep doing this. Megan Kelly starts picking on
- 45:44Speaker 2: our friend Mark Levin, starts a war with him. Then
- 45:48Speaker 2: she calls him micro penis. So goes the reason for
- 45:52Speaker 2: this is he has a micro penis and he calls
- 45:55Speaker 2: a Levin mister micro penis. What the hell does that mean?
- 46:00Speaker 2: And why would you even go in that direction? President
- 46:04Speaker 2: Trump so offended by this disgusting, awful Megan Kelly puts
- 46:08Speaker 2: out a massive tweet defending Mark Levin, talking about how
- 46:12Speaker 2: irrelevant and useless and washed up and fired Megan Kelly is,
- 46:17Speaker 2: and but it gets her in the news every day.
- 46:20Speaker 2: She's got publicist, she's got all sorts of people trying
- 46:23Speaker 2: to get this stuff out there. So when you're fired
- 46:25Speaker 2: and you're out of work, you know, if you're on
- 46:27Speaker 2: Fox News, everybody will see you. If you're on MSNBC,
- 46:32Speaker 2: not everybody, but some people will see. If you're fired
- 46:34Speaker 2: and doing the show from your bedroom, you got to
- 46:37Speaker 2: say crazy things to get attention. Otherwise who's going to
- 46:39Speaker 2: know you even exist? So they get addicted. That's why
- 46:42Speaker 2: they do it. They can't stop. Hey, we'll take some calls. Next.
- 46:45Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 46:48Speaker 2: the number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 46:53Speaker 5: Set up preset on the iHeartRadio app to woor to
- 46:56Speaker 5: hear Mark Live.
- 46:58Speaker 1: Set another for Mark's podcast to hear in any time
- 47:02Speaker 1: Now back to Mark Damon on wo.
- 47:05Speaker 2: R Well, Yeah, St. Patrick's State Parade underway. It starts
- 47:09Speaker 2: around forty second forty third Street, although it was a
- 47:12Speaker 2: building a skyscraper forty third Street, massive fire and smoke
- 47:15Speaker 2: billowing out of it. Forty third in Madison. Looks like
- 47:19Speaker 2: that's under control, but it's a traffic nightmare. Don't drive
- 47:22Speaker 2: into midtown Manhattan. Let's take some calls. Let's go to
- 47:25Speaker 2: uh Frank in Arizona. Frank, how you doing?
- 47:29Speaker 9: Mark? Mark? Two quick points. Last week, I paid forty
- 47:33Speaker 9: twenty five for gas at the pump. Yeah, and you, well,
- 47:35Speaker 9: I don't mind if I know it's going to obtain
- 47:38Speaker 9: piece in the Middle East. It's money well spent. I
- 47:40Speaker 9: got no problem with that.
- 47:42Speaker 2: Wow.
- 47:42Speaker 3: The second thing, it's just.
- 47:43Speaker 2: A spike for a couple of weeks. It's not like
- 47:45Speaker 2: Biden where you're gonna pay. You're not going to pay
- 47:47Speaker 2: the Biden price for five years, four years.
- 47:49Speaker 3: It'll just no no.
- 47:50Speaker 9: And the second thing, Mark, is I think you'll agree
- 47:52Speaker 9: with me on this one. After I listen to Kamala
- 47:55Speaker 9: Harris for five years, I realized where she got her
- 47:57Speaker 9: speaking skills. She went to the case Stangles School of
- 48:01Speaker 9: public Speaking. Now, for the people who don't know what
- 48:03Speaker 9: I'm talking about going.
- 48:04Speaker 2: On, For those of you under one hundred and twenty,
- 48:07Speaker 2: Casey Stangle was the Yankees manager.
- 48:09Speaker 9: No, I know, but if you watch him on YouTube.
- 48:11Speaker 9: You will laugh because that's where she got her skills.
- 48:15Speaker 2: Well, actually, I know what you're saying, but there's a
- 48:17Speaker 2: big difference. Kamala Harris is just a yo yo and
- 48:19Speaker 2: a babbling idiot. But Casey Stangle, he was kind of
- 48:23Speaker 2: an uneducated, crude kind of a guy. But there was
- 48:26Speaker 2: tremendous wisdom in the things he said, tremendous wisdom. Even
- 48:31Speaker 2: Yogi with some of those yogisms, a certain wisdom, and
- 48:35Speaker 2: miss Stangle was a smart guy. Let's go to Joe
- 48:39Speaker 2: and Elmwood Park. Joe, how you doing good morning?
- 48:41Speaker 6: Mark?
- 48:42Speaker 3: Happy?
- 48:42Speaker 2: Is Saint Patrick's thing?
- 48:45Speaker 9: As you bene just right on the money. He's right
- 48:48Speaker 9: with the gas that was refined maybe six eight months ago.
- 48:51Speaker 8: My uncle had.
- 48:51Speaker 3: My uncle's had a gas station for sixty five years.
- 48:54Speaker 12: He's right on the money.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Yeah, no gas prices, you know it's up to two
- 49:00Speaker 2: dollars a barrel. Well, we're not buying any barrels right now.
- 49:03Speaker 2: We have plenty of gas and we don't get any
- 49:05Speaker 2: gas from the streets of horn Moves. Let's go to
- 49:07Speaker 2: Pat and Scarsdale.
- 49:08Speaker 8: Pat, how you doing very well?
- 49:10Speaker 1: Mark?
- 49:10Speaker 8: How are you doing good? Good?
- 49:13Speaker 13: I'll tell you. You know, it's a follow up to this
- 49:14Speaker 13: gutry thing. You're going to see a lot of wealthy
- 49:16Speaker 13: people very quietly get you know, you're going to see
- 49:20Speaker 13: an electrical engineer pair up with a medical team and
- 49:24Speaker 13: they're going to insert like a device into these wealthy people,
- 49:28Speaker 13: maybe in a tooth or.
- 49:29Speaker 3: Something like that.
- 49:29Speaker 13: It'll be like a homing device, so if ever they
- 49:31Speaker 13: get kidnapped, it's you know, they can actually spot them.
- 49:36Speaker 13: I know they do it in pets right now, but
- 49:37Speaker 13: I think that's going to be the future.
- 49:40Speaker 2: I don't know, you want something inserted into you?
- 49:43Speaker 13: Well, I think it's better than what's happened to this
- 49:47Speaker 13: gutthery woman. At least they would be able to track
- 49:49Speaker 13: her where she would you know, where they could find her.
- 49:53Speaker 2: You know, it's an interesting concept. You can install a
- 49:55Speaker 2: little chip in somebody, you'd always be able to track them.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Although who knows who kidnapped her. It was like some
- 50:05Speaker 2: crazy breaking, bad cartel type people. They'll just take out
- 50:09Speaker 2: a knife and cut the chip right out. I don't know,
- 50:14Speaker 2: I don't know, that's I gotta think about that one.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Although there probably be something you could to stop the
- 50:22Speaker 2: chip with, Like you put them in a bag, some
- 50:24Speaker 2: kind of aluminum looking bag. Zip it shut, and the
- 50:26Speaker 2: chip can't radiate through there. Let's go to Bob Montvale,
- 50:30Speaker 2: New Jersey. Bob, how you doing hanging in there?
- 50:33Speaker 9: Mark?
- 50:34Speaker 6: Thanks?
- 50:34Speaker 12: You know there is a late night TV savior out there, Mark,
- 50:37Speaker 12: And you know her well, Ronda shear, Oh yeah, she
- 50:41Speaker 12: plays that. They play that stuff on like Channel two
- 50:44Speaker 12: at late nights with her stick, her product. She's the current.
- 50:49Speaker 12: She is what Cyddy Sweeney wants to be and she
- 50:53Speaker 12: can do it.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Well. Yeah, we like Rond to year. She's great. You
- 50:56Speaker 2: know who really is the current? Johnny Carson is Jimmy Fayla.
- 51:00Speaker 2: He does a Saturday night show. Gutfeld is very good
- 51:03Speaker 2: every night at ten o'clock. He's kind of Carson like,
- 51:05Speaker 2: I mean, it's a different type of show. It's more
- 51:07Speaker 2: of a you know, four chairs and kind of a
- 51:09Speaker 2: sit down kind of show. But Gutfeld and watch the monologue.
- 51:13Speaker 2: He'll make fun of both sides. But the best is
- 51:16Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayala. Every Saturday night, ten o'clock on the Fox
- 51:19Speaker 2: News channel. He does the best that's currently the best
- 51:23Speaker 2: monologue in television Saturday nights. And if you don't get
- 51:26Speaker 2: to see it Saturday night, it's just going on YouTube somewhere.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Or get his monologue every Saturday night. You can get
- 51:31Speaker 2: it now for last Saturday Night. It's like a long,
- 51:33Speaker 2: fifteen minute monologue and he'll do both sides, jokes about
- 51:38Speaker 2: both sides. That's what Carson did. You know you could
- 51:41Speaker 2: watch Carson every night for thirty years and you had
- 51:45Speaker 2: no idea where he stood politically, absolutely none. You could
- 51:49Speaker 2: watch Jay Leno every night and he did a monologue.
- 51:53Speaker 2: It was the Carson monologue was twenty five jokes. When
- 51:56Speaker 2: Leno took over, that was his strength doing the monologue.
- 51:59Speaker 2: He stretched it into fifth jokes every night and you
- 52:01Speaker 2: can watch it every night. He was on for seventeen years.
- 52:05Speaker 2: By the end of the seventeen years, you'd have no
- 52:08Speaker 2: idea where he stood politically. And that's the way it
- 52:11Speaker 2: should be. Hey, when we come back, Bill O'Reilly will
- 52:13Speaker 2: be with us a lot to talk to him about.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Next on seven to ten, woor.
- 52:19Speaker 5: Mister New York marximone Si.
- 52:24Speaker 2: Hey, Bill O'Reilly, of course, the number one TV anchor
- 52:27Speaker 2: for decades and the number one best selling non fix
- 52:30Speaker 2: north or on Earth, doing more than ever, right now,
- 52:32Speaker 2: you can watch his show, you can get the books,
- 52:35Speaker 2: you can get the columns. Everything's at billoreilly dot com.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Billoreilly dot com. Also make sure you check out his
- 52:41Speaker 2: YouTube channel. A lot of great stuff there Bill O'Reilly's
- 52:44Speaker 2: YouTube channel. And the latest thing is this great podcast
- 52:48Speaker 2: he's doing every week. It's called We'll Do It Live.
- 52:51Speaker 2: First episode was Rob Schneider. It's already out. Check out
- 52:54Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly's new podcast, We'll Do It Live, And he's
- 52:57Speaker 2: with us now, Bill O'Reilly, how you doing.
- 53:01Speaker 3: I'm down here in d C for the White House
- 53:03Speaker 3: Saint Patrick's extravaganzat this afternoon, so I'm all right.
- 53:08Speaker 2: Oh, this sounds like trouble. What is the extravagance?
- 53:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it's cold down here, and it's a madhouse at
- 53:14Speaker 3: the White House with the Iranian stuff. But we're going
- 53:19Speaker 3: on over and I will have a report this evening
- 53:23Speaker 3: on the No Spin News.
- 53:24Speaker 2: All right, when the President grabs and goes, what do
- 53:26Speaker 2: you think? Wow, how are we doing in Iran? What
- 53:28Speaker 2: are you going to tell him?
- 53:30Speaker 3: I have no idea because I don't see the intel.
- 53:34Speaker 3: The Israeli He's wax. Two big Iranian thugs. Last night,
- 53:39Speaker 3: which is good for the world, but the world isn't
- 53:42Speaker 3: helping the USA. Not unusual these days defeat the terror
- 53:49Speaker 3: state of Iran. So we get some good news, we
- 53:52Speaker 3: get some bad news.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Yeah. So when they say the messaging isn't there and
- 53:56Speaker 2: he's a contradictory, I think they had normal people are
- 54:00Speaker 2: clear on why we're there. That's pretty easy to figure out,
- 54:02Speaker 2: isn't it.
- 54:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree with that. If you don't believe that
- 54:07Speaker 3: Iran is a terrorist state, then you live in a
- 54:09Speaker 3: delusional world. Of course, it is. The word imminent got
- 54:14Speaker 3: them in trouble. A guy just resigned from the Counter
- 54:19Speaker 3: Terrorism Organization under the Trump administration, saying that the attack
- 54:26Speaker 3: wasn't necessary at this time because it was no imminent threat.
- 54:30Speaker 3: I don't know. I'm here and I'm gonna find out
- 54:35Speaker 3: as much as I can, obviously, but I don't get
- 54:39Speaker 3: you know, Intel reports every morning as the president does,
- 54:44Speaker 3: so I don't know what Iran was up to and
- 54:48Speaker 3: what kind of weaponry they were close to having, and
- 54:52Speaker 3: I think that's got to be put out there. I
- 54:56Speaker 3: don't know if this is the right time to do it,
- 54:58Speaker 3: but certainly American people who ever right to know that Yeah.
- 55:02Speaker 2: So this gets settled in a relatively settled in a
- 55:05Speaker 2: month and things better in Iran, and then Cuba falls
- 55:08Speaker 2: and opens up and another wouldn't this president obviously deserve
- 55:13Speaker 2: a Nobel Price and wouldn't this be historic?
- 55:17Speaker 3: Never going to get the Nobel Prize. The Europeans hate them,
- 55:20Speaker 3: and I mean that across the board, and just you
- 55:22Speaker 3: go to Europe, boy, I can't think of another president
- 55:27Speaker 3: more despised in our history than Donald Trump is by
- 55:31Speaker 3: the Europeans. So he's never going to get anything from them.
- 55:36Speaker 3: But if Iran does capitulate, which is certainly impossibility, and
- 55:43Speaker 3: then Cuba falls, which is almost I hate to use
- 55:48Speaker 3: the word imminent, but it's pretty close, they're going to
- 55:51Speaker 3: sign a deal repudiating communism and allowing private investment to
- 55:57Speaker 3: come into the island. I think that's going to happen
- 56:00Speaker 3: within the next few days. And if Trump can win
- 56:04Speaker 3: Iran on top of that, then he becomes a stronger
- 56:08Speaker 3: president then going in. But if the converse happens, then
- 56:13Speaker 3: the Republicans are in trouble next November.
- 56:15Speaker 2: Yeah, Now, remind me again why everybody hates him so much.
- 56:18Speaker 2: I know, he's not your typical policy he's not a politician.
- 56:20Speaker 2: He's a rough gruff for New Yorker.
- 56:22Speaker 3: But yeah, that's the good question. So Europe is weak,
- 56:28Speaker 3: and Germany's the worst, absolute worst, and they're the most
- 56:33Speaker 3: powerful economy in Europe now. Ever since World War Two
- 56:37Speaker 3: ended in nineteen forty five, we have been carrying Germany,
- 56:41Speaker 3: all right. We've been paying for the defense, we've been
- 56:44Speaker 3: paying for the economy. We rebuilt their nation, and the
- 56:49Speaker 3: Germans have given us nothing, nothing, So for them to
- 56:54Speaker 3: basically say about Iran this is not our war is
- 56:57Speaker 3: a slap in the face. If you know anything about
- 57:02Speaker 3: human nature, you know that powerful people are loathed generally
- 57:07Speaker 3: by weak people. Yeah, so that always happens. And Trump
- 57:12Speaker 3: is a strong man politician. He's a populist. They don't
- 57:17Speaker 3: understand that in Europe. Number one, they don't know what
- 57:19Speaker 3: a populist is. And number two, they think he's a
- 57:23Speaker 3: bully because he goes over and says, I'm going to
- 57:27Speaker 3: be a Greenland, I'm gonna, you know, do this, I'm
- 57:30Speaker 3: going to do that. You're a bunch of weaklings. And
- 57:33Speaker 3: the European press is worse than the American press. They
- 57:37Speaker 3: hate Trump worse than the American press. So that's all
- 57:41Speaker 3: these people are hearing over there, and that's why his
- 57:46Speaker 3: image is so let's say, dubious in Europe right now.
- 57:51Speaker 2: Well, I guess he is a bully, but always for
- 57:54Speaker 2: a good cause, right, I mean, he's not doing anything terrible,
- 57:57Speaker 2: is he?
- 57:58Speaker 3: But see our interest in Europe centruy they're not the same.
- 58:01Speaker 3: And people have to understand that Europe is hyped up
- 58:05Speaker 3: about Ukraine because they know Putin's a direct threat to them. So, yeah,
- 58:11Speaker 3: they're cooperating in Ukraine, they're giving money to the Ukrainians.
- 58:14Speaker 3: But Iran they don't care. They don't care if iron
- 58:19Speaker 3: whiteside israel I. Only there's one European country that would
- 58:23Speaker 3: care if that happened. So that the United States point
- 58:27Speaker 3: of view is no, you've got to protect the people
- 58:30Speaker 3: of Israel. But the Europeans is why we don't care
- 58:33Speaker 3: about them. And that's the best example I can give
- 58:36Speaker 3: you about diverging interests.
- 58:38Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, Bill o'reiley. I love the new podcast. It's
- 58:42Speaker 2: called We'll Do It Live. There's two episodes out now
- 58:46Speaker 2: right Rob Schneider.
- 58:48Speaker 3: There's one episode on Schneider. We're going to drop another
- 58:51Speaker 3: one on Thursday. I'm working on a big Iranian thing.
- 58:55Speaker 3: I can't say what it is because I might not
- 58:57Speaker 3: get it. But if I get it, it's going to
- 59:01Speaker 3: be enormous because with a guy who knows everything about
- 59:05Speaker 3: what's going on over there, and so we're going to
- 59:09Speaker 3: do that here in Washington. We're set to do it.
- 59:13Speaker 3: But you know how these things are. This is a
- 59:15Speaker 3: very very high profile interview. And then we have Steve Sharipa,
- 59:22Speaker 3: this Franos. We already taped him, so he'll be Yeah,
- 59:26Speaker 3: he'll be up in March. But I want to get
- 59:29Speaker 3: this Iran thing done because it'll be big if I
- 59:32Speaker 3: can get it done. And that'll it's got to Bill
- 59:34Speaker 3: O'Reilly dot com. That's where we live, and you'll see
- 59:37Speaker 3: what the podcast progression is. But right now I might
- 59:40Speaker 3: even drop this Wednesday night, that's how important it might be.
- 59:44Speaker 2: All right, Well, just check out Bill O'Reilly's new podcast.
- 59:47Speaker 2: We'll do it live. Just go to Bill O'Reilly dot com,
- 59:51Speaker 2: Bill O'Reilly dot com. Hey, they have the St. Patrick's
- 59:54Speaker 2: Day parade here and they have the big Saint Patrick's
- 59:56Speaker 2: Day Breakfast at Gracie Mansion. All the Irish, but Mom
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Donnie gets up there and starts making a speech about
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: Palestine and genocide. What the hell is he thinking?
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: What is he thinking? It's impossible for me to answer
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: that question. I can tell you that the socialist communist
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: movement despises Israel and he's part of that. So man
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Domi is part of that. He's a communist. And in Ireland,
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: if you go to Ireland, the Communist and the Communist
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: Party is big in Ireland. It's got sway, it's got power,
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: particularly in Northern Ireland. They hate Israel boil Boya and
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: I'm not exactly sure why. The history doesn't really demonstrate
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: why that hatred is so palpable, But that's why man
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: Domi did it, because he's in that cabal, at communist
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: socialist cabal, and they just hate Israel.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: So for the I mean, this Cuban government falls, the Democrats,
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: what side are they gonna take? They're gonna make fools
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: of themselves again, aren't they.
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: I don't think they'll say anything on that. I mean,
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: they were pretty muted on Venezuela and the few nuts
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: that went out, but I don't think. But let me
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: give everybody listening to wo R a tip if you
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: are thinking about buying Florida real estate moving out of
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: New York to Florida, Wait until the communist regime in
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: Cuba folds, because there are gonna be a lot of
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: places up for sale in Florida. Prices of real estate
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: are gonna come down because a lot of Cubans, particularly
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: in Dade County, South Florida, gonna move back. Wow, they're
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: gonna go back.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: Never thought about it.
- 1:01:46Speaker 11: There's gonna be a lot of places. So if you're
- 1:01:49Speaker 11: buying high now in Florida, those prices for housing are
- 1:01:54Speaker 11: gonna come down, are gonna come down pretty big.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: I never thought of that. You're right, that's a huge
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: miss Cuban population there that's going to go back.
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: Yeah, they're going to go back.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: And Cuba will be in five years. The hottest spot
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: is very Madelow one saying north of Nevada.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: Right, that's true. It was back in the fifties, it
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: will be again.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: You bet.
