Latest / Mile High Huddle Podcast / BFB #527: Chiefs at Broncos: How Can Denver Pull the Upset?
Transcript
- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Good morning everybody.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: It is Wednesday morning.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Our last Wednesday show.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: We are going to be changing from Monday, Wednesdays to Mondays in Friday, starting next week.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_00]: So that'll be fun to look forward to.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: Why are we doing that?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: Nick has a big boy job now after moving to Denver.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: So not that this isn't a big boy job, but.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: going to be working on my obviously epidemiology science work at CU anchets.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: So that'll be a lot of fun.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to say hello to everybody in the chat.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: Um, obviously I'm Nick Kendall here.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: You make sure you guys are following me on Twitter.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to talk Broncos chiefs today and answer you guys' questions.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: This is well, maybe a little bit shorter, uh, show today since I'm running solo.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, that's fine.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: I got I do have some of here who's that hopefully going to
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: You know, behave in the background, but hopefully everybody in the chat, behaving in the background as well.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: We got Michael Ronkio coming in says hit those thumbs up and subscribe to my little podcast on YouTube.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: Go Bob Broncos, appreciate you.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: Hit those thumbs up and subscribe.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: We got a twice go go Bob Broncos go Michael appreciate you.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: Proud Zenials says let's go Broncos FTC.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you guys both for being members as well as our guy, David Junkin and House St. How's it an upset of Denver wins?
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't sound like Broncos fans to me when you title the podcast like this to me.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: David, I just went with the upset because that's what Vegas is saying.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos are currently a four point dog.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_00]: So by betting standards, they are the...
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: the underdog and it would be an upset if Denver won.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: So that's actually one reason I titled it like that because I wanted to talk about if it was disrespectful to the Broncos to have them be a four point home dog.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: You don't typically see that a lot of times teams away two and a half three points for the home field advantage.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: So by this like an neutral field, chiefs would be favored by seven, maybe chiefs favored by eight at home, ish more than that.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: home field, uh, whatever the lane points at home field is a little bit higher than the NFL, but I'd add aggressa.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Denver is an underdog.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: They're eight and two.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: The chiefs are five and four, but Vegas is not buying the broncos and they're still very much buying the chiefs.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: Broncos, I think, are 10th or 11th and Super Bowl odds despite being an NFL league best record tied best record eight and two with the chiefs being the favorites in the first Super Bowl odds at five and four.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, pretty darn wild to see all of that come out, but yeah, I did want to get into it with that as well.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: And you're guys going to have something going solo.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to have to mute and cough myself because I'm still dealing with a cold here from getting it at the little guy at daycare.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: So excuse me, I got a cough.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: All righty.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: doing okay.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: I got coffee thank God for that.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: The Dave Glassman is Wednesday and Friday the New Schedule coming forward.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be Mondays and Fridays.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to do Wednesday as I'm going to be doing the Falcons with Scott.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: Scott didn't want to move his Falcons show an hour earlier.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: The other thing is we're going to be going an hour earlier on the Broncos show as well because I got to get my butt into the office.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: we are going to be going at 6.30 a.m. mountain time.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: So you guys got to be more than people like me.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to be joining me for some 14ers in the summer, if I can get you guys a schedule up and at an hour earlier, we got Stella coming in here says morning, ladies and gents.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_00]: Good to see you.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_00]: Hope you're doing well.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to message in the group chat that we have here.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: about the the Broncos game as well.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: See if Eric or Dylan will join me.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_00]: We got to sell a saying to Uncle Scott do shows any more as he just behind the scenes.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: He's behind the scenes for the Broncos, but he does Falcons shows still and we go a little bit more overarching draft once the offseason starts as well, especially after free agencies.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: So it'll be more Falcons planted on his channel.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's fine.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: That's great.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: We have good to see Michael again, saying proud with the salute, saying hello to everybody, Jake Leviance and morning Broncos country, how you all do in today.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'm feeling a little bit sad about the hints of the JK Dobbins news because I am.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a skeptic borderline pessimist at heart.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if it's growing up in the Midwest and those cold Midwest winners gonna zap the life out of you or just ya know, this disappointment too many times, but yeah, J.K. Dobbins, sounded like he's gonna be out there debating if putting him on IR.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: I would probably imagine that they do, if it wasn't for the Byweek app, he probably would already be on the IR, because of how the rules work with placing guys in the short-term IR in the Byweek.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: But, and that's going to hurt a lot, because one of my favorite stats to indicate your down-to-down efficiency in the NFL is success rate, and the Broncos are one of the,
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: worse success rate teams in the entire NFL.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: They luckily, they kind of salvaged middle of the pack, EPA, per drop back, but they're better on running the ball and then throwing it and then dobbins is by far, they're most efficient down to down rush or unfortunately Harvey is one of the least efficient rushing running backs in the entire NFL.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: Luckily, he's found a role as a good pass catcher, but running the ball, he has been down to down, just let's call it as it has been dreadful.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: Now, granted,
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's still inexperienced in the league, playing in the big 12 and the spread that you see at UCF, the tackling and the hash marks and just the space that you have is a lot different than the NFL, but he's been
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think out of 45 running backs with at least 50 rushes this season, he has the 49th ranked success rate and what a success rate it's gaining half the yards to go for a first down on first and second down or all of the yards on third and fourth down that's considered a successful play by the metric.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's a pretty good metric to utilize it just as far as again you're down to down efficiency.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: Now it doesn't capture.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: Exposiveness like a play that let's say it's first and 10 degree gain six yards.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's a a binary yes one for a successful play let's say it's first and 10 if you throw an 80 yard touchdown pass that's equivalent to getting that six yards it's a successful play so it only captures the down and down yes or no by an area outcome, but it does a good job of indicating
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: You're efficiency from a play to play perspective and Broncos have been bad there.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: Offensively, I think they're the third worst passing success rate in the entire NFL.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: And Harvey's been bad rushing the football this season between the tackles as indicated by success rate.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: Harvey was 15th out of 45 running backs in success rate this season.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully, we'll figure something out, but that's a
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: That's a concerning stat for the Broncos doing to get in a few more stats here.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: Got Brad, good morning.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_00]: Great to see you, Brad.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: Happy belated veterans day to you.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: Appreciate you.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: I thought about you yesterday after your very kind comment.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: And shout out to all of our service members if you didn't join us last night as well.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: Happy belated veterans day.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: Gatorie gaming, good morning.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Dylan.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: Where's Dylan?
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: Where's Dylan and Eric?
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think they got confused because of my schedule change.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: I texted him.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's officially happening Monday's in Friday, starting next Monday.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: They probably thought it was today.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: So they get this Wednesday and Friday off.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: God bless them.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: I can go live for by myself for a little bit.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: I wish I didn't have this gosh darn cold and sound even more nasally and nerdy than normal.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: But what can you do?
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: We got formula salty thunder saying, what's up, summit?
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: Summit, what are you doing?
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, well, he's, he's not joining him.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: He's not helping me out at all.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: Casey Nichol comes in Casey, if Nuprofile picture, maybe it's just because it's different than what's on Twitter, but good to see it.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: Said this game feels odd, Denver's getting blown out, or it's an extra turn to forum, and Sean opens up the tempo playbook.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: Honest to God, I mean, what I hope is that the Broncos just smoke them, but I think it would be hilarious if the Broncos continue to do it, they've done the season as drag the chiefs into the mud and when just the ugliest most confounding
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: not not repeatable in theory but repeatable game like let's see like make them look like the jets you know just just in really ugly football game now granted I'm messed up in the head uh because I've had to watch Iowa football for so long and they have been the kings of winning ugly oh my god how are they winning these games football games and the broadcast are kind of
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: I just, oh, it doesn't win.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: You can get upset about frustrating games like the Titans game, the Jets game, the Raiders game as well, like not good teams and playing down to your competition and making just so many unforeseen errors.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's frustrating, but if you play that same exact game script, it plays out the exact same.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: Every single play, outcome, blah, blah, and you beat the chiefs 10 to 7.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there's excuses for beating good teams.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: And really honestly, the NFL in general probably shouldn't be anyway, but we can evaluate the individual performances and unit performances also have in perspective that it's hard to win, week to week in the NFL.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Jake says, no Wednesday, Bronco, for breakfast.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: Nope, I got a,
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: I keep on doing my Falcon stuff with Scott and draft stuff with Scott because I love working with Scott and so we'll be going on Mondays and Fridays so we're still going to have two shows and also Wednesdays are typically one of the lesser news days anyway so we should have more to talk about on the Friday game so it's a lot of fun.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: good to see everybody come in in here.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_00]: Chiefs are 11 17 and still Vegas would bet on them.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: I've said it on here.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not really necessarily a horror fan per se, but Jeepers Creepers that show with a guy eating the body parts and everything, the demon, whatever he has.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: The first one where they run them over in the car and they run them over once and these like, he thinks he's dead and she backs them over over six more times.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's never dead.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's how I feel about the chiefs and my homes.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: You have to, or is it what does it?
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: Zombie land the other one, double tap.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: You want to make sure they're fricking dead.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I sever the head, finish them for the moral combat fans at home.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, the chiefs have been so good for so long.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, how many AFC Wests have they won in a row?
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's nine.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: Going for ten this year.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: They played in like an ungodly amount of AFC championship games in a row as well.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: They've earned it.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's frustrated.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: I know that Bronco fans are very frustrated about the media and everybody piling on the Broncos for how, you know, Bonix is playing the offensive play and how they're phones.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: And we see the Monday night game with the Eagles and the Packers like, oh, should the Eagles and the Patch Packers be drafting quarterbacks or my home says a bad game two weeks ago.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: Why don't they jump it on him?
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Bonix has not been overall.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: great baseline level quarterback.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's probably closer to average than anything else.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's probably closer to slightly below average than above average.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: If you're breaking it down into quarters, he's probably in the third first quarter being the elite guy, second quarter being franchise guys, third quarter being like viable starters, fourth quarter being unplayable.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's probably
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: upper of the third bottom of the second right there in the medium, the Santa bear it out, even though he's been erratic this season.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, on for a rookie quarterback, that's fine.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: One and a half years, that's fine.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to lie about him in be hyperbolic either direction.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: I just got the discussion drive me crazy with the extremes on that.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: But, uh,
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: Either way, Denver's got a chance of this one.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know where I was going with that.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm on a roll.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody's here just cut me off.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: Love Eric, I miss Shiny, Scott's Shiny forehead.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Scott actually, I was very lucky to see Scott to him that his son, Sean, in Denver for some brunch on Sunday, who's out here, checking out our Air Force Academy.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of fun.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Jaxon's as being a scientist in Iowa fan and a Broncos fan.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, probably, probably.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_00]: Don Kumi, because I arrived to see a tailgate, or I will say, Chief's fans, opposing fans are all welcome.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not here for the S talking necessarily.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to talk like actual,
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: football like academically intelligently.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's fine, but if it's, you know, someone shows moms that you know what, or just, you know, BS, I am not here for it.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: We'll boot you for that.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: And that goes for Broncos fans as well, as well.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: This is a, there's places for that level of a degradation and knuckle dragging fandom and God bless them, but that is not here.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: except from the hosts.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, I'll drag my knuckles all I want.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: Corey Johnson, the Savion Jones, such a great athlete for his size.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: Coaching to have us turn to every late-rate past-rosher master.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: How long do we see until we see the same from Jones?
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: Jones will be out there once he's not a liability against the run.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: You're probably a off-season program away from getting a little bit more strength and technique in that.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: What I will say is that you're not in that you don't necessarily need him right now with the depth that you've had in the emergence of a Waza Reekin, as well, who's been a really good, I mean for your
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: Last guy in defense of Lyme and he's playing pretty good and you still have year and a half of cost control of him as well So he's part of the rotation next season Honestly with how he's playing you're probably Depending on the contract being like okay, you're just kind of sliding and not a one for one don't get me wrong, but maybe sliding in and eating to into some of Roaches naps in 2026 But we will see with Savion Jones and he's really really
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: athletic, good pass rusher.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, he's too much of a liability against the run handily double teams anchoring at the point of attack to be on the field.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: Jacob says the referee has a 22% home win percentage.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's not good.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's that's actually pretty crazy.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's taking up on Twitter, show me the source of that set.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: Not that I'm down in you, but I want to dig in with that a little bit more.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: Chase Wander says the Nick show.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: So the title has never changed.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's always been the Nick show.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome, Nums.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: Can of course, it's actually the summit show, as long as he doesn't lick his manhood.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: He's welcome to hang out in the background here.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: David Schlosser, Jr., coming in saying, good morning at Broncos Country.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody leave a like.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, leave a like, drop a super chat.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be great to see.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: Adrian Hill, Reffing the game.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: Chiefs of foreign owners, Reffing.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's, you don't love to see that.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: You don't love to see that.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: Jaron Washington says the chiefs think they're going to come into Denver and beat us easily.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: No, they won't.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: Our offense will be a lot better on Sunday.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Jaron, I wish I could have the same faith as you is going to be harder for them to be worse.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: But right now, I started the show with all the stats there.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing the Broncos do well, consistently on offenses,
- 14:36[SPEAKER_00]: everything else is volatile, uh, just you cannot depend on it, you cannot depend on bonus and the dropback pass game right now for all four quarters, can depend on RJ Harvey and again it's pilot on the offense right now, penalties and special teams and lack of takeaways by the defense are also a massive
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: areas where this team could improve.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, but they don't take as much of the the pie chart of influence, if you will, as the quarterback, of course, because it's the freaking NFL.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: Tell the data call for a 2020 tie.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: That would be hilarious.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: Can we make it as zero to zero tie?
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: And is there, somebody have to help me out here.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: There's the,
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: Beemer Virginia Tech meme where it's a zero to zero maybe or maybe it's like three to zero and it's like arms are in the air that's that would be hilarious for the Broncos as well a lot of fun a lot of fun Roy Osborn good morning Nick have my line coffee with me ready to talk some football I need to take a sip I've been just going at it appreciate you guys see Dylan text me he's going to be on Facebook chat I'm not sure what's going on
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, appreciate you guys.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: Let me do that.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: Courage is the eyeball test with Bowie.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't look good.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of people, especially because it doesn't go against their wishes for the quarterback position will really degrade some of the advanced statistics, but football is such a
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: such a great game because it's a small sample size sport.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: There are so many interacting variables.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like baseball where like stats are really really really really indicative of performance.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: But what you have to do in football is Mary, well first off you have to understand what the stats mean and how valuable they are and what they're actually indicating.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then match that to the film.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: Right now Bo is
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: I test overall is frustrating and again, it comes down to he's just a really volatile quarterback right now the lows are really really low like the one of the worst quarterbacks in football.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: level low, but he has a bunch of highs as well, so it's like, God, you know, we see you have the ability to do that.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you have to wait until the fourth quarter?
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: What's going on with the mechanics?
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: The fundamentals, right now, I hate to be so boring and say that word so many times on these shows, but like the dropback, the footwork, the
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: going through progressions, they're not bailing on clean pockets, not getting to the check down too soon.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_00]: If they're on tape, I bet you're Sean Payton, Bonix, I forgot more football than all ever learn.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not, I'm not going to be here on the far left side, I guess that's I feel you guys are the stunning, stunning Kruger curve.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: I understand that.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: I know some, and oh my god, there's so much that I don't know.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll never know.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_00]: But I think it's pretty easy to watch the tape and be like, oh,
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: What is going on with just a basics of quarterback mechanics?
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he's hurt.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but yeah, the eye test right now saved says bow has the ability to be top 12 top 10 quarterback But right now the down down stuff is just not good enough for the brakos Which is frustrating.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think that leads so a lot of frustration and it depends on your mindset and perspective Oh, he's great sometimes he can do that all the time Why don't they just call of the no-huttle bonus unleash offense?
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, oh, wait, I run an offense and really the quarterback's only as good as the down to down baseline overall, it's still time though, still plenty of time, AJ comes in and says when Bow's back has been against the wall, he's always played well, going back to Auburn, hoping to show up Sunday.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: That would be good.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: I would love him to play like he did at Arrowhead last season.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: That would be unbelievable, just the
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: overall control of the game that can the Broncos grind out drives with where they're running back rooms of JK Dobbins is out.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, man.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but it's going to take a curriculum effort.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: Jay Brue comes in and says, let's go Broncos M1ST4j says Harvey's a good he just doesn't have any yards because Dobbins gets more touches.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think offensive scene there woes over this money by I think they are going to look good.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: I hope so.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: Chief's defense is
- 18:54[SPEAKER_00]: They love to run that cover zero blitz more than anybody in the NFL, but Bonix has actually been pretty good under pressure.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: This season has been pretty good while blitzed.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: He has been bad.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: I just call it as it is when your stats are overall.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: average.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I can say that some are good.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: That probably means that some are bad to even at all right.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: And he's been bad against zone.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: And against three and four man pressures this season on the whole.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: But especially zone coverage of bottom 10 quarterback in those.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: And that's not all.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: Again, every single stat in football.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: People point to EPA is not being good.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: Like it's not a good stat.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: We won't use that.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like it's a team stat.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: Touchdowns are a team stat too, so our passing touchdowns, it's a freaking football.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: You're your best to isolate it, but every single stat in football is a system stat in the end.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: When you have it over a quarterbacks play over like a 10 year sample and the variables are changing around them.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think it could start to probably give it to the quarterback a little bit more, but other than that.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: Mostly system sets, but yeah, hopefully they do figured out Argy Harvey.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: Argy Harvey's been good in the past game, but he has not been a good runner this season.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: One of the highest stuff rates tackle for loss rates in the NFL despite a good offensive line play.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: He said a few explosives, but
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: There's been so many runs of zero to negative yards to two yards, which not going to get it done with the Broncos already being so number one on the NFL in total punts, granted they've had more drives and as many games as anybody so far this season.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: Their second I think in punt rate per drive, which again,
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: they're not turning the ball over.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: They've ever isn't like a no turnover team.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: That'd be awesome if they were.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: They're kind of closer to like, I think the sixth to 14th range.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: In turnover's per drive.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: But they are punting the ball way more than anybody.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: And they're also having some of the most workouts than anybody else as well in the NFL.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think only the Eagles have more three and that's per drive.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, Harvey, we'll see, I think the one thing you can say about Harvey just because it's an unknown is maybe he gets in the little bit more of a rhythm, getting more touches, and then you're starting to see a little bit more down to down efficiency.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: But has not found that yet as a drop-back passer.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: Chase comes in and says, I might have missed this, what's the update on JK's gonna miss a lot of time?
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: Sounds like it's two to six weeks.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's, I don't know how much you guys follow the NFL at large, but Kyle and Murray missed a couple games and then ended up on the IR after already burning two games is not being on the IR with the mid-foot spray.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of sounds like we're out with Harvey and it depends on the person, the person, how fast they recover, you never know.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm expecting, we will see him placed on the IR that would have him missing five weeks for games,
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't, right now, I'm expecting him to miss at least three.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's possible, it only misses two.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's possible he misses the rest of the regular season.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, these foot sprayings are wild.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: And we did have Chris Thomason.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: The Denver, is that?
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: I hope it's the Denver, because it's either Denver, because that are Denver Post.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: Chris, you're a great one.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: You're really good at the Broncos beat stuff.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: Him and Mike Clisor, the best on the beat, in my opinion, as far as the sources and breaking news for the Broncos, but he said Broncos heavily considering placing
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: Dovins on the IR.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: Can a low comes in and says, uh, if both can need to play as like this, hopefully, don't give them a second contract.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_00]: If he plays like this, it's going to be hard to validate.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, that's not the right word.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: Justify.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: Give him a second contract, but we still have a lot of time, uh, before we have to get to that.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: So, I wouldn't, we don't have to worry about that for a while.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we still have,
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: Two and a half years of cost control before the fifth year option being in place and then you have a three and a half years if you're including the fifth year option.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: So no reason to rush it.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_00]: This level of play baseline is probably not good enough.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: But there's so many pages that we're not even like close to you.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: We're like through one and a half chapters of the book right or if you want to go every game as a chapter, you know, there's still can 60 chapters to go.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: plenty of time to see how the story fleshes itself out.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: Often, it does need to score points more consistently where you agree there, play calling and penalties.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: I go back and watch the games on the all 22 multiple times now since I haven't started this other job yet, and I got a little time at home.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: But...
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know the exact play call, but I understand the concept, so I can decipher what the defense is being called, and it seems like a lot of times there are players where Bonaix isn't trusting what he's seen, he's bailing on the pocket too soon, and he's just not ripping it.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he's hurt, stuff more slump, whatever you want to call it.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the play calls are egregious.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: Also, there's a lot of good stats out there.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_00]: Pass rate over expected.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: So what is that?
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: Is if you call a runner-up pass over the overall sample of every play from that down in distance in recorded football history.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're going against the grain or with the grain, and they'll put you in either side and broncos right now, and middle of the pack in pass rate over expected.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: So they're not passing the ball.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: like crazy amount more than you'd expect based on the situation of football.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think the issue is more so, you don't have an elite quarterback right now and you are playing down in distance, got behind the sticks, way too often because of penalties and the inconsistent success rate that we're seeing.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: So that's leading to plays that, typically you see more pass, but for the pro quo, they should probably be leaning more towards the run than they are to protect their quarterback
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: Just to make sure he's not passing them all 40 times a game.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's a losing formula I think right now for the Broncos.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: But it's, yeah, it's interesting.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: For me, let's say my fancy teams fall on a part of my, I am first place in both my leagues.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I have a number one score in one of my leagues in the second highest score.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: And the other, I have Josh Jacobs and JSN in both my leagues.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: And they've been great.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_00]: I also went against, uh,
- 24:56[SPEAKER_00]: Jonathan Taylor the week prior.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_00]: So that was great as well.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: We got Dylan may be hopping in here as well, hanging out with us.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: But first we got M1ST.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_00]: There is Dylan good to see.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to take the blame.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: This is a buckstops here.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be Sean Peyton here and say that I did not communicate the best of what the plans were going for with our time and schedule of change.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: So we're here wednesday.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: We won't be here Friday until next week where we're going live at 6 30 a.m. Dylan welcome to the
- 25:25[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you to M1ST4J Gifting the five memberships here.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: God bless you man.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: That helps so much and Dylan.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_00]: Great to see you.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to take a swing and coffee while you say hello to the chat for this last at 20 30 minutes.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I wish I had some clean next next to me.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_00]: I am just not as can be more than my soul normally is.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no worries man.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_01]: Happy to be here and give you a little bit of a break.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take a chat pop in today and whatnot, but man, yeah, I shot about a bit.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: I saw your text and I was like, oh no.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I helped up through a shirt on.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry for the background, Chad.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_01]: We'll make it for the next time.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean,
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a tough matchup.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: This is the measuring stick game for sure with the Broncos.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: So, uh, is the offense going to come alive.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: Mine is chicken ovens.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to say this is not a measuring stick game for the Broncos, uh, just to push back immediately.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: Don't welcome it.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: I screw you.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_00]: I want to be contrarian.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, no.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: Denver is a underdog and they're missing Alex single 10.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be missing their best player and Patrick Sertan.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_00]: Most valuable player and Patrick Sertan.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: The chiefs need this game.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: More than the Broncos need this game.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: They're coming off of by Andy Reed is something like it's written.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still, I blew the schedule was released.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_00]: I was immediately pissed because like, of course,
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: to give the chiefs the buy week before a plan on Denver and which is like the most important game for the Broncos on the season to have Andrea Rita something like 24 and 4 as a head coach coming off the buy week.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: Our granddad member has the mini buy but like that's freaking ridiculous to have them be that good coming off the buy.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: Luckily, I guess, for the Broncos, even if the Broncos lose, hopefully they beat up the chiefs pretty bad, and then the chiefs are playing the cults who have a bio-week this upcoming week.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: So, advantage cults, maybe that's unfortunate as well, if it's coming down to one seed to seed, and everything for the Broncos.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: So, maybe a double-way, but, I don't know, I mean, rather the one seed, obviously, in the cults, but,
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: even more than that, I'd rather guarantee the Broncos get the AFC West.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess beat the absolute breaks off of them, Indy.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: We got Coach Chris coming in $20 super chat, campus, you coach Chris, great to see.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully you guys are enjoying the vertical format as well.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: On the other side, kind of a new thing going on here with your people listening to watching on YouTube.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, couldn't figure it out last night without Scott's help, but I figured it out today.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I says traveling right now, good morning, Broncos family.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_00]: Just purchased four front rotickets to the jags game excited.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's a, that might be the Broncos most winnable game the rest of the season.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, like the commanders and the raiders are worse, but it's much harder to play a Denver.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: So that's awesome.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: Good for you guys.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm bummed to see Travis Hunter won't be playing with going on the IR with the LCL surgery and injury, but I really awesome to see that coach Chris.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I'll end up grabbing some tickets as well.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, man, that should be an interesting game, especially sans grind Thomas Jr. if he's backed by then we'll see and then Travis Hunter, man,
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: The Broncos will in a playing jacobie he looks good in my opinion going in the game.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think we'll see a dominant team is just a gut feeling I'm sorry M1ST 4J.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: I just I tend to be critical my I want and maybe it's pushback because of my
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: what's facing me in my phone is the glazing and overlooking and excuses for players and things where I'm like always driving for perfection and improvement.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's the team building mind here where I'm hyper critical so like thinking towards the draft like what are the areas of the roster that need to be improved upon?
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm looking for the weaknesses and areas to get better but never is doing a lot of things as well right now.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: They obviously the best sack in differential, one of the best sack differentials in NFL history so far.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's credit to the offense of violence, credit to Bonix, that's credit to the defense of wine, that's credit to the coverage of credit to the coaching staff, everything in full balls, it don't connect to that's why it's the best game.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_00]: But they do it in that really well and of course, shout out to the coverage guys as well, no granted.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: You've played the Raiders without Jacobi Myers and you played the
- 29:42[SPEAKER_00]: Davis Mills looks pretty good against the jacks, but the fourth quarter there.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, got to give him some credit.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: And the Broncos right now I did a show on Saturday night, Dylan this week with Mike, the Mike Dubs show and they said a last minute thing.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: And while the Broncos, we talked about the penalties, special teams, quarterback plays in issue, tight and wide receiver rooms, probably bottom 10 in the NFL.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: There's no team in the freaking league that's better on both sides of the trenches than the Denver Broncos.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: And that, when you're winning on the trenches on both sides of the ball, we get in a week out, you're going to win more games than you don't.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: So shout out to them.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to $50 super chat here as well.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: There's the positive for you guys.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm a trench guy at heart first and foremost.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: So that's that war was my heart a lot, seeing Denver do that.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely especially with just important that is we saw the Eagle Super Bowl and both sides of the ball very dominant offense defensive line and while the Broncos offensive lines been banged up, they've still done a pretty solid job of keeping Bonix up right last game got a little more pressure than.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: he's using but still still gutted that one out as for RJ Harvey.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's hard to have confidence when he's been a better receiver than running back to this point.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, he's going to get more opportunities this week and unfortunately, he'll probably see more Tyler biday as well.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see if he can make anything of his touches.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, this
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I guess the stream froze for YouTube folks there for a second, but we're back.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: So you miss me glazing this team potentially, not being negative.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully, glad to see it's back, and that was a close shave for us, still on, but we do really like a close shave.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: If you're still figuring out gifts, House of Atlas is a no-brainer.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: Private for your brother, your roommate or even when you ask someone what they want and you don't feel like thinking.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: Their grooming kits make it simple to clean up and they actually look as good as the counter and feel in your hand.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: The raises weighted handle, precision trim edge, make it effortless to get smooth, clean shape every time.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: Something most rangers just don't do.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: In the best part, you can grab them at target stores nationwide or online at target.com so you don't have to overthink it.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's right, guys.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_00]: Atlas is redefining men's grooming with premium tools and products design.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_00]: I look good, feel good and actually perform.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_00]: I love the razors because it feels solid in your hand.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's not flimsy like disposable razors.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_00]: And the precision trim edge makes dealing with under the nose, sideburns, and edges simple and precise.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'll admit it on here, guys.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: The brow, sometimes, does like to grow a little bit closer together so that precision edge is good because you gotta keep those guys clean and I'm not, I'm not here to wax, you know, I mean, I'm okay with men's grooming, but house of Atlas makes it even better.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_00]: So beyond the shave, also they have the shaving agreement after shave that elevate the routine with their refreshing and subtle signature scent, making grooming feel more like self-care than a chore.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: So don't stress over last minute gets or settle for shaving products that don't deliver.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: This holiday season give yourself or someone on your list.
- 32:47[SPEAKER_01]: The upgrade they deserve with House of Atlas.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_01]: Grab it at TargetStoresNationWide or online at target.com.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: We need more energy, Dylan.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: Don't just woke up, so it's okay.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_00]: Appreciate tailgit or see this in my second cup of coffee.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_00]: I've been up for a bit already when you have a kid screaming at you throwing eggs across the floor that you just made for him.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: You get a little bit more adrenaline going.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_00]: We got germane in the house.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: Good morning, guys.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_00]: Go Broncos.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the big key for me and this one, Dylan, obviously, I hate to do this because it's just so freaking basic.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: But like, can the Broncos win a turnover battle plus two, like, for once?
- 33:23[SPEAKER_00]: I know they like, they find they had to take away, but I think they ended up losing to take away battle versus the Raiders minus one.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_00]: Those either even are minus one.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_00]: I did put out the, I don't know if you guys follow me on Twitter, but every once in a while I break out the the turnover wizard, like say and I like I summon the turnover and I'm telling you there's something unbelievable about it because it worked like that I posted it and then very next play was the Deondre Tillman interceptions I don't break it out every drive it just it has to be like okay I'm feeling it right now I wish I'd have done it for the punt because I was with a few friends the block punt as I was with a few friends Dylan I saw the lineup and I'm like
- 33:55[SPEAKER_00]: to my friend Caitlyn, who was sitting next to me, like, they're going to block this punt.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_00]: And they did.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I, she'd have to verify for that one for you guys.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, it's going to be a, uh, I love to say the Broncos take the ball away.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_00]: The chiefs do not have a very good run game.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_00]: They're also not very good at stopping the run, but the Broncos aren't really good running down and down without it's the ovens on the field.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see what happens.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_00]: The key for me in this one until greater, I mean, you've been respectful in this chat.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_00]: You might turn on me here for this one, but
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: The Broncos need to beat the absolute tar out of passion moans and I know like everybody's the like doubting the Broncos, I'm down in the Broncos, you can call me a hater as well.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_00]: People call in the dirty people in the NFL already really don't like Sean Payton because he's kind of a, you know what, as well, to a lot of people who rubs them the wrong way.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's our eight hole though, so we love him at the in the end.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think Denver needs to embrace the villain role here now.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying like really, really late, you know, egregious captain and say, you know, poking the eyes out kind of stuff here.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like we don't need to keep to leave on the road and Indianapolis against doing that.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: doing Alan was at the name of the tide and that he gouged his eye.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_00]: From Clemson, I remember that.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: Same draft as Colby Flater.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_00]: But we do need Denver to play to the echo of the whistle.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: And if Patrick Mahold was doing that BS, where he's like using the sideline to like, you know, draw defenders and get like three extra more yards.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_00]: Tackle through them 15 yard penalty fine.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_00]: Let's get a go find me going for this right now.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think that this is a game where Denver has done a lot this season where they've bloodied and battered quarterbacks.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_00]: This needs to be no different.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: You need to play unchanged uninhibited and
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: There's obviously a fine line between play and so dirty that you're costing your team the game, but the chiefs need to be fearful of this one.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_00]: Patrick Bahomes needs to be fearful of escaping the pocket and extending plays.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm looking for them to punish the chiefs' offense.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_00]: I want my homes to feel at the next ad.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not cheering for season ending and injury or anything like that.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't get me wrong, but I want them to beat the absolute hell out of him in this game.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: and that's how you beat in the homes or any quarterback for that matter you have to get to beat them you got to batter them within the means of like you mentioned the the rules there but you're you're totally right i mean my homes does use that sideline kind of as a as a safety blanket if you will
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: And at some point someone's got to make him not want to do that anymore or make him think twice about it and same with you know Kelsey we saw him take a pretty big rib shot against I can't remember it wasn't
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't, uh, was that jacks?
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't jacks, but regardless, it was a pretty recent game, and he felt it.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: He went out for a couple of plays.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, you don't want to injure players, but you do want to make them have that doubt in their mind, have that fear in their mind.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: That many teams have when they play the Kansas City Chiefs, that fear, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that,
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the Broncos could do that with this defense, especially a gray green law.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: Tell a know who fun, good coming on the woods.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: We've seen it plenty of times.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: Having Patrick's or not having Patrick's or tank hurts, and you want to have more help on the back end.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: But if you need to send someone extra time with time, and manifest those turnovers like you do with the with the wizard there, the vibes base turnovers if you will.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: Um, that's that's just going to be what you have to do and, you know, it's going to be a tough game regardless, uh, whether I picked the Broncos to win or not in the in the game day picks.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, I'm still going to be rooting for them to win because I think there's a good chance.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and what's really scary about the pressure with my homes is that.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_00]: is far in a way.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_00]: The best quarterback under pressure in the entire NFL this season.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm using Sumer.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: Sports.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: I believe it's pronounced.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: They have a pretty good dashboard.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: I wish they had a few more data points.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not paying for true media SIS with a $200 a month subscription.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_00]: I would never have the hell it is that only like ESPN, the athletic and the ringer have access to and teams as well.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_00]: But Sumer sports categorizing quarterbacks minimum 50 drop backs when pressured.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, the top quarterbacks in a fell under pressure are my homes.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_00]: Darnold may Daniel Jones and Jane Daniels with at least 50 dropbacks.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_00]: Darnold and my homes are the only two at positive EPA for dropback and my homes is almost uh, Darnold's EPA when pressure for dropback is 0.03.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_00]: My homes is 0.22.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and that's significantly higher than anybody else.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_00]: Seven touchdowns and two interceptions and he is when under pressure.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_00]: he is chucking it.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_00]: So far this season, the highest average depth of target at 15.7 yards.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's at 15.7 one yards when pressured.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to keep him curled.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_00]: When pressured, you have to also finish the play.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_00]: I know that like pressures are more valuable as far as predictive ability for defensive lines.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_00]: But in Denver has been an outlier this season as far
- 39:02[SPEAKER_00]: You need that outwired to continue.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_00]: When you get hands on him, when you get pressure on him, you need to be taking him down.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: One thing as far as regression also I want to point out for this game because I'm all about the statistical regression and what is likely to what has happened if it's a vast outwired compared to the average is probably going to change.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think the chief said, put the ball in the ground six times the season, seven times the season, they've recovered every single one,
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's a 50-50 proposition.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of like your one score games, where the chiefs have the worst luck on that one this season, the Broncos are pretty good luck on that one.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_00]: The chiefs fumble luck this season has been unsustainable.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_00]: Let's put it that way.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_00]: So hit my homes, pop the ball out and let's get on top of the football.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm hoping to take away a start to regress positively for the Broncos, but fumble is one that it should be 50-50 going forward.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully that's one that we have a little bit of positive bounce for the Broncos this one.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the Broncos have the ability to do it, especially with how explosive Nick Benito is off the edge, and I know they're going to try neutralize this past rush trying to get the ball at quick, maybe run the ball, but
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Benino and Cooper, they're going to get there, especially the interior of the defensive line as well.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a matter of if they can get that ball out and it away from a home, it's like you mentioned.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: They just seem, the ball literally seems to bounce their way.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: So, got to create those turnovers.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_01]: That's one thing that this defense is not done super well.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: This season beyond future tight end, DeAndre Tillman.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully he can get.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_01]: Running back tight and hey offensive weapon maybe.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, maybe he gets another intersection.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_01]: Someone's got a step up in that department though and get a turnover because that's where this defense is kind of hurting and it gives a little extra help to an offense that sputters quite a bit.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, incredible.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully that's something that we see here, Eric's giving me a hard time in the chat.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: He's awake.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's saying I'm stupid for not having it Friday this week.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Eric, now we get Friday off.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: So that's good.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_00]: Who's birthday is it?
- 41:07[SPEAKER_00]: Gabe says happy birthday.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_00]: I must have missed it in the chat.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_00]: Whoever's birthday is happy birthday.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to you.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_00]: November 12th.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: tailgate.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, never mind.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_00]: Screw you tailgate now.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_00]: You've been respected.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm just giving you hard time.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, happy birthday.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: Don't drink and drive.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how old you are, but be safe and have a good time.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_00]: So Dylan, this is our last show before the game.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to behold you to have this be the exact
- 41:34[SPEAKER_00]: score that you put in your prediction outcome, but I do want to get a score for you.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_00]: Denver is four point dogs.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: I saw the look in the side that I learned here, so I think I, I think that's a tell for this one.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're going to piss off the chat, but what do you think in?
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I do think the Broncos score a little more than 10 points in this game, fortunately, but I do have currently, and this might change by the time we put our picks out, but I do have the Chiefs besting the Broncos, 27 of the 20, I just feel,
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: despite the record, the chiefs are more well put together team, well coach team, as well, especially like you just can't lead the league in penalties.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_01]: I believe 83 for the Broncos.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's absolutely just a boring.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_01]: And then have your offense, but like it is, it's hard to have two phases of bad and win football games.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: And obviously that hasn't been the case.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos are eight and two, but I think something's
- 42:38[SPEAKER_00]: more people are going to start paying attention to the Broncos deficiencies when they lose maybe this is the kick in the ass they need but we'll see so for now yeah 27 20 chiefs over the Broncos I guess going to be more low score in the mat personally I do have the chiefs winning this one I think I got 20 to 16 for the chiefs winning lean and end of that line as well I think that it's just hard to trust bonix and the Broncos offense right now without jk dovins
- 43:08[SPEAKER_00]: It'll take special teams and everything that ran it.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_00]: He had them many by week, but it's the injuries on the Broncos side of the ball.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're one constant contributor on the offensive side of the ball, not having Patrick Sirtam.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_00]: So that kind of changes what you can do in terms of Russian coverage on the defensive side of the ball and then the NFL, gifting the chiefs the by week before going to play at Denver.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's just too many factors that are saying that the chiefs end up winning this one.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: But that said,
- 43:36[SPEAKER_00]: As we've seen this season, the chiefs have been a erratic team on the whole.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, with what we saw them do against the bills, bills have also been extremely erratic, but that was a terrible game for them on the road against Jacksonville as well.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: Denver has been good.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: in the game itself inconsistent but consistent week to week so we don't know exactly what's chiefs team we will get.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think though unfortunately with the by week that they got I just I have a hard time picking picking Denver to win this one without Dobbins.
- 44:11[SPEAKER_00]: This is probably the most important game of Bonix's career so far which is unfair because he's playing like he has pressure beyond what's actually there for him right now.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully this is the ECM rise to the occasion with the pressure kind of like we've seen in the fourth quarter But he needs to play calmer and Run the offense hit the open guy get through your reads It's a big one without Dobbins and this chiefs game I don't think that if Denver loses this game they necessarily lose the FC West But if they win this game, I think they win the FC West so it's all there in front of them
- 44:50[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see what happens.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to the chat for coming in, hangin' out today.
