A dual citizen from Akwesasne, Stephanie Square, has pleaded guilty to leading a deadly human smuggling ring that killed a Romanian family of four and the boat operator on the St. Lawrence River. Extradited from Canada, she allegedly pushed through a dangerous crossing in freezing conditions for profit, resulting in a capsized boat and tragic deaths. Facing up to life in prison, her sentencing is set for November 25th, as others in the ring also took responsibility.
