- 0:09SPEAKER_02: He's like, Yeah, you just stopped talking so loud.
- 0:11SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I don't know if I can stop talking so loud, Josh.

- 0:44SPEAKER_02: Abby, what was yours?
- 0:45SPEAKER_02: I don't remember the name.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: I am having, I don't know, a mango margarita.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: It had a cool name, but I couldn't pronounce it.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: Cheers.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Kate is having Savion Bon.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Annette.
- 0:55unknown: Is that Amanda's?
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Amanda and a mixed standard.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: And a mixter standard.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: Cheers.
- 1:00SPEAKER_02: Alright.
- 1:00SPEAKER_02: Well, here we go.
- 1:02SPEAKER_02: We're gonna start our ghost stories with one we heard at Mom's Night.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: I got approval for her from her to tell her story.
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: So I'm really hoping I remember it all, and I do her justice.
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: Shout out to you, Stephanie.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: So she shared this with us at Mom's Night.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: Abby didn't go to that mom's night.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: So she is a very good thing.
- 1:20SPEAKER_02: It was kind of creepy.
- 1:22SPEAKER_02: It was kind of creepy.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: It was kind of creepy.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: She's a good storyteller.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: She was very good.
- 1:26SPEAKER_02: That's why I'm hoping I can deliver.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: So she's on her honeymoon in all over Europe.
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: And they're going to different places in Europe and they're ending in Venice, which is like a dream of mine to go to Venice.
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: I would love to go to Venice.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: But anyway, she's going to Venice.
- 1:43SPEAKER_02: Her husband's best friend's aunt lives half the time in Venice in Italy and half the time somewhere else that I can't remember.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: I think she's London.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: Or am I getting mixed up because she was British?
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: Her home location was British.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: Or London.
- 2:00SPEAKER_02: She was British.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:02SPEAKER_02: Anyway, so she and her husband are gonna go stay with his friend's aunt.
- 2:09SPEAKER_02: And what she explains is it traditionally in Italy, there was a family that would live upstairs, and there was a family that would live downstairs.
- 2:18SPEAKER_02: So it was like kind of a split house with double.
- 2:22SPEAKER_02: But she lived there with her husband, and his like man cave was in the basement.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: And so the ants giving Emily the ant is giving them a tour of the house, and they're going around and they go into the basement into his man cave.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: And she sees this picture, and it's like a painting of a younger, like a teenage boy on canvas.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: And um there's like a canvas print.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: Canvas print of her, yeah.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 2:50SPEAKER_02: And so they're looking at it, and the aunt, Emily, immediately was like, Oh, don't worry, he's not dead.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: That's like the first thing she says.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Oh wow.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: So it was like from how she described it, she it was like it was from to me in my head, it was like from almost like a big one.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Ceiling to almost floor-length canvas print.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Self-portrait type of vibe.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: They pass kind of like room.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: But he's not, yeah.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: He's alive.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Okay, right.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: But but his son from a previous marriage is who this picture is of.
- 3:24SPEAKER_02: But the response, he's not dead, was a very weird beginning response, right?
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: So she's already kind of like, ooh.
- 3:32SPEAKER_02: Um well anyway, they go upstairs to like where the main house is and they start making dinner.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: And she's like walking from one room, like through what I got was like a hallway or something, into another room where the kitchen was.
- 3:47SPEAKER_02: And you know, when you walk through a room and you kind of know there's something over there, she almost thought it was like a mirror or her own reflection, but obviously a feeling of somebody else being there.
- 3:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: And so she was like, that was weird, like shakes it off, it goes into the kitchen, they make dinner.
- 4:06SPEAKER_02: So nothing kind of crazy yet, but just kind of weird things.
- 4:10SPEAKER_02: Well then they go to bed and they're staying in the guest room, and she wakes up in the middle of the night with sleep paralysis, like you experience, right?
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: Like she her almost exactly similar to your story where she's like pressed together like this.
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: She can't move, she can't speak, she can't do anything.
- 4:29SPEAKER_02: And she's like trying to like scream to wake her husband up, but obviously can't make a lot of noise.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: And finally, after a while, she's able to like get a like she like grabs him like this across, and she's like, the husband.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Like that, yeah.
- 4:45SPEAKER_02: And makes like a noise out of it.
- 4:47SPEAKER_02: And he finally kind of half wakes up, and she was like, Oh, like what happened?
- 4:52SPEAKER_02: Like, kind of confused.
- 4:54SPEAKER_02: Well, then um he goes back to sleep, like whatever.
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: And so she's sitting up, kind of like like trying to like kind of get it back together and breathe through it.
- 5:08SPEAKER_02: And there was a big armoire in the room, and what I imagined was like one of those tall ones that goes kind of like floor to ceiling, like from Beauty and the Beast.
- 5:18SPEAKER_02: And it like opens up and there's stuff in it.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: Well, she like looks, and everything that was in the armoire had fallen out pillows, blankets, like all everything is on the floor, like having fallen out of there.
- 5:30SPEAKER_02: And so she's like, also very weird.
- 5:32SPEAKER_02: She'd never had sleep paralysis happen.
- 5:35SPEAKER_02: And I think she said she'd never had it happen again, like only at that time.
- 5:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and so that happens, and all the stuff falls out, and she's like creepy, but okay, whatever.
- 5:46SPEAKER_02: So the next day, she and she never mentions this to the aunt, never tells her this experience, like the weird thing in the basement, the kind of a feeling happening, and then that she never mentions it to her.
- 5:58SPEAKER_02: But they're going on like a hike, I imagine like a pretty little you know, Italian up the mountain.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah, up the mountain.
- 6:06SPEAKER_02: And it she doesn't bring it up, but the aunt was like, Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you the house is haunted, like just out of nowhere.
- 6:14SPEAKER_02: And she was like, Oh, okay.
- 6:16SPEAKER_02: Well, we find out that the painting belonged to her new husband's ex-wife and was kept at her house forever.
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: And she explains that the painting was kept at her house until she passed away, but hadn't been found for a few days.
- 6:36SPEAKER_02: So the reason she kept it in the basement is because, and I quote, there was a lot of debris on it when he got it.
- 6:44SPEAKER_02: So what that meant, yeah, I don't know.
- 6:46SPEAKER_02: I took it as she said that the body was there for a while before somebody found it.
- 6:52SPEAKER_02: And she had this painting or this picture of her face.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: Do you think the spirit went in there?
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: That's what she was saying, too.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: That's yeah, right.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: The chills is like what was in there, right?
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:02SPEAKER_02: So she starts to talk about how the ant that the spirit only shows up when her husband's not there.
- 7:10SPEAKER_02: And she's felt her at the base of the bed, like pressure at the base of the bed, like someone sitting there.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: And it's warm.
- 7:16SPEAKER_02: And it'll be yeah, it'll be warm.
- 7:19SPEAKER_02: And she she also said that she would show up some other way.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: I can't remember specifically, but obviously it was always whenever he wasn't home, because I guess he traveled for work or something a lot.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: So all this weird stuff would happen while she was there and he was gone.
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: Oh wow.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: But then when he was there, nothing would happen.
- 7:40SPEAKER_02: Well, we also find out later that this house that they're living in now, the two-story house, was bought with his ex-wife and him as their retirement property.
- 7:51SPEAKER_02: So they bought it together, and now his new wife was living in it.
- 7:54SPEAKER_02: And while he would travel, she would kind of update it and decorate it and work on it.
- 8:00SPEAKER_02: And so maybe an example of her being, you know, displeased with either somebody else doing that in her house or something like that.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: My initial thought was if she had taken the painting out of the basement and put it in the house and like a in the upper part of the house in like a place of almost honor, that maybe the ghost wouldn't be there.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: But that was our thought that it was the I think it's interesting that it only happens when he's not there.
- 8:26SPEAKER_02: Like there's some reason behind that.
- 8:28SPEAKER_02: And that's why I think it could be the ex-wife, because she attached herself to the painting.
- 8:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's crazy.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: Isn't that yeah?
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was really I hope we got it all.
- 8:37SPEAKER_02: I think thank you for helping me because I'm gonna go.
- 8:41SPEAKER_02: What did you think of that?
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: Creepy, huh?
- 8:43SPEAKER_02: She told us that where we were sitting outside at mom's night, and it was like a chill goes up and down my spine.
- 8:48SPEAKER_01: And that was the only time she's ever had sleep paralysis?
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: Oh wow, yeah.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, she's in an area too where it's kind of creepy as well.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: You know, oh, there's gotta be haunted, like all the buildings have to be haunted or close to it.
- 9:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, or someone died there.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: That's crazy.
- 9:07SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: I get sleep paralysis a lot.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Do you really?
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: Her stories are crazy about it, too.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: I think I've had it maybe a couple of times, but it's awful.
- 9:18SPEAKER_02: Never had it.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: It's not fun.
- 9:20SPEAKER_02: My stomach.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, so my I have a couple, but they're kind of short.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: And I was talking to my mom about it because she was like, What are you doing tonight?
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: And I was telling her, and she goes, Oh, you need to tell them about like what happened with your dad after your dad had passed too, and I had forgotten about that.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: So, anyways, so the one thing that I remember happening to me was it involved in a Ouija board, of course.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: Which I'm anti-again.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: So I was what age?
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Um, I wasn't I hadn't moved out of my parents' house yet.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: So I had just turned 21.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: So, and I was oldest of my friends, so of course I could buy booze and you know all other stuff.
- 10:11SPEAKER_02: She's not saying she did a legal.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, no, never.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: Um but we had I had met one of my friends at one of my old jobs, and I won't say names, but she was had a fraternal brother, twin brother.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: Okay, so his friend had this apartment and over on the west side, and he this apartment was it was one level, but it had like a loft.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: So it was just we went over there to hang out, and it was during the day, mind you, it wasn't at night.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: No, probably would have been creepier if it was at nighttime.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: But um, maybe like late afternoon, and so we walk in.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: So when you walk in, it's like open to like the living room, and then there's like the kitchen, and then there's like big stairs to go up to the loft.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: So we're like sitting around, we're like, what do we do?
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: You know, we're waiting for other friends to show up, figuring out what to do.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: So her brother was there, and mind you, the owner of the apartment wasn't there, he was working, but he's had been best friends with him for forever, so he was like, just hang out here, whatever.
- 11:22SPEAKER_02: Oh, so none of you lived there?
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: No.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's kind of weird.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but uh, so her brother was there, and he's like, Well, you know, um, the owner of the apartment has an Ouija board.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: So I was like, let's play.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: Oh I was like, okay, well, I mean, kind of I was curious.
- 11:42SPEAKER_02: You opened a portal.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, um, so we're we're sitting there, and there's um, it's on like a coffee table, and then there's a TV.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: It's kind of one of the old schools with the big old box behind it, kind of thing.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: So we're all sitting down on the ground.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: I'm so here's the the coffee table.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: There's one person on one end, one person on the other, and I'm in the middle.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: So we all grab the little thing and we start asking questions, you know, the stupid, like, is there anyone there?
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: Or you know, um, are there do you know the distritus?
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so and we're like, no, you're moving it.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: I'm moving, no, no, you're moving.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: It was moving, okay.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: So we asked right away?
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: Oh wow.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 12:26SPEAKER_02: I've never done this.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: So when it moves, is it like it feels like one of the other people are moving it?
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: No, it does it feel like the weird thing is it feels it it's hard to explain.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: To me, it just felt like airy, like just gliding, like you couldn't feel but the tub.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: Does everybody have to touch it, or is it everybody's hands are touching it?
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: Oh and usually both hands, right?
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: Yes, so it's but it's like two fingers.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: Ah, you don't know.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: I watch so much about this that I won't touch one because I anyway, okay.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: So and then so at one point we go, um, are there any spirits here?
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: And it goes, yes.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: Like, oh okay, are there any good spirits?
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: And it was like it didn't really, it didn't move.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: And then we're like, I looked at my friend and I'm like, should I ask?
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: And she's like, Yeah, dude, whatever.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: So I said, Are there evil spirits here?
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: And it goes, Yes.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: And so as soon as we had done that, or like had asked that question, all of a sudden the TV pops on.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: Oh wow, yeah, and we're like, and we thought it was her brother that was doing it, and we're like, you know, did you do it?
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: He goes, No, it's not me, you know.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: Look at my hands, and I said, Well, where's the remote?
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: And the remote was like somewhere over there on underneath the TV.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: But when the TV popped open, you know how in like the VHS, when you got to the end of the movie, it would go to like a blue screen.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: It went it was to a blue screen, and there was just lines going up.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: And so I was like, I think we're done, guys.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: And this and I forget my friend had asked another question, and all of a sudden, with that other question, up in the loft area, you heard loud like knocking, like and I said, Nope, I'm done, I'm out.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: And so I don't I know Kate has said that you're supposed to close the I don't know if they did that or not.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: I mean, you did it, I did it.
- 14:29SPEAKER_02: Oh, I know.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: So I said right then and there I would never play with a Ouija board ever again, which is funny because growing up, my grandma, whenever we would go over to her house, she had one, she had one, but I never knew it was in a Ouija board.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: So we would play like dominoes and stuff, like she'd have this like little board and she'd sit it on her lap, and like the back part of it was like um wallpapered kind of.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: And so we'd sit there and play dominoes, so we'd play it all the time, and then when my um grandparents were moving from here back to New York, we were excuse me, helping them pack up, and I flipped it open over, and it was a Ouija board.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: I was playing in on a Ouija board the whole entire time as a kid.
- 15:14SPEAKER_02: That's crazy.
- 15:15SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 15:16SPEAKER_02: I'm like really weird about Ouija boards because I feel like it does open a demonic portal of some sort, and you do have to close like I've never done one, but I know about them and I know what they do and how to and you're supposed to close that shit.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: I well I didn't know about it until later on in life.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: So maybe that's why.
- 15:35SPEAKER_02: Um you've never seen those two people ever again.
- 15:39SPEAKER_02: Suspicious.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: No, and then the other things that have happened, so after my dad died, I was living at back at my parents' house.
- 15:47SPEAKER_02: How old were you when your dad died?
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: Uh I was twenty nine.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so it's gonna be 30 or just turned 30.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: I can't remember, but around that area.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: And um, you know those cars, like the little kids can play in, they're like the red with the the yellow tops, the little tights cars.
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because Lennox was two, so she had that, and we were living there, and my mom had put um on like the back handle so you could push it, this like Santa Claus thing, and it was like an accordion, so you could like pull it, and after you pulled it, it would sing like a Christmas song.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: And so she just left it up there all year round.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: Well, one one night we're sit I'm sitting in the living room and it's chilling over by the front door, and it's mind you, it's not pulled, nobody's touched it, it starts going off.
- 16:43SPEAKER_02: So it's not even expanded?
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: It's not even expanded, and it starts singing a Christmas song.
- 16:48SPEAKER_02: And I'm like How long after your dad passed away was that?
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: Probably within like a couple of months.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: And then my so that was the only thing that's happened.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: Actually, no, there was two things.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: The other thing that happened was you know how the kids had the light up shoes?
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Lennox had light up shoes just laying around, and I think we were talking about my dad or something, and all of a sudden the shoes just lit up.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: Nobody was around it, because you know how little set it off with motions, nobody, no animals, no pressure, yeah, nothing.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: And then my mom was like, Well, you need to tell them what's happened to me, and she said that.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: Um, and this just happened maybe within a year or so.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: She has this toaster oven um from like Williams and Sonoma, so fancy toaster oven.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: And the toaster oven went off like a ding, like a ding.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: And this toaster oven it goes beep beep beep beep beep beep beep when it's done.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: That's what it was doing, and it she hadn't started it.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: It had done it like two nights in a row at like midnight.
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: But does she feel like comforted?
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Like, does she feel like your dad's still there?
- 17:54SPEAKER_02: That was gonna be my final thing.
- 17:56SPEAKER_02: I think so.
- 17:57SPEAKER_02: Like he's just trying to show his presence.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think so.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: Because a lot of the times, like you know how with little kids you'll say, Oh, well, there's like a butterfly, that's them saying hello, or uh hummingbird or hummingbird, or um you see like a feather, they say that's them visiting you kind of thing.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: So we see like those kind of signs, but I think those are like the biggest ones.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because she said another time the yeah, it's so it went off twice in one night.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: Oh wow.
- 18:26SPEAKER_02: Was it expected or unexpected?
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: It's kind of a weird thing to say, but like it was so the diagnosis was unexpected, but we it was expected for him to not live.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: So kind of maybe his preparation too.
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: Could be I like the idea of having like a little reminder that they're there for you.
- 18:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, that's sweet.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, those are all my scary ones.
- 18:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so that last one was like real sweet.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: The Ouija one one.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I haven't played with Ouija boards.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: I wouldn't.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't know.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: You open portal, you open yourself up to a lot.
- 18:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I feel like there's something about it that's different than any other like macabre paranormal thing.
- 19:05SPEAKER_02: Like it's like a direct shot to like the demons, in my opinion.
- 19:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 19:09SPEAKER_02: So I wonder who has that apartment now.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm I've always been like susceptible to like reading like other people's energies and stuff, even without meeting them or like you know, not knowing them well.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Um, and I get deja vu a lot.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: Like what?
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: Like give me an example.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: I rarely get that.
- 19:30SPEAKER_01: I'm a vibes person too.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: Do you get deja vu?
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: No, but I that's what I want to see though.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: Well, and it's not all the time, but recently today I got it.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: I was doing something and I just came flooding back.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh my god, I've I've done this before.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: I've had it to where too where I've dreamt up dreamt of somebody, and then um it doesn't happen right away, but that dream parts of it happens.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: And then I in my head I sit there and I panic think, like thinking, like, okay, what happened in my dream so I can prevent it.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: Like final destination.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 20:05SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: She gets her like that's so raban moment.
- 20:11unknown: I'm too old for that.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 20:15SPEAKER_02: That's those are good ones.
- 20:16SPEAKER_02: I feel like um, and I'll I'll talk more about it when I talk about my story after yours, but I've always had ghost experiences and always had spirit experiences, and I much prefer the ones where it's like them coming to reassure you.
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, like I think everybody probably would, but those ones are nice, yeah.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: Like something that feels safe and comforting.
- 20:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: Mine, also I have two, I have a lot of stories.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: So um, a little bit of backstory of my family.
- 20:43SPEAKER_01: Um, my mom is from Chihuahua and my dad is from Veracruz.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: Veracruz is kind of like uh a city, and Veracruz is the kind of like the capital of all of the dark magic in Mexico.
- 20:55SPEAKER_02: And isn't that where um they set the show of Coco?
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: Uh no, that's Mexico City.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: Oh, I thought it was Veracruz.
- 21:03SPEAKER_02: Carry on, I'm sorry.
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: No, they they have a lot of traditions throughout Mexico for like Day of the Dead and stuff like that.
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: Veracruz sounded so nice.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: No, but it's like there's a specific place, it's very dark, it's you know, it that's where everybody goes.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: Celebrities, like there's a lot of different religions, they practice a lot of dark magic.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: So growing up, my dad would always tell us a lot of stories.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: But I do also think that I have a very what is it called?
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: Like a high sensitivity to like spiritual things, and I can pick up on things really well.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: And I also think I have a pretty good discernment of whether something's good or something's not good.
- 21:40SPEAKER_02: And you do read people really well too.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: So one story that I wanted to share wasn't really related to you.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: So I haven't heard this.
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: I have told you.
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: Have you?
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: Um, but I don't think we've shared this.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: Um, unfortunately, with uh Kate's ex-husband, he he passed in her home and I really.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Remember that in like a kind of very traumatic way, yes.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: Um, however, in that during that time, she was still my boss, so I don't think we were friends like that.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: But I would reach out to you on a daily basis and just send her a prayer, and I remember I don't know how much longer after I had a dream, I had a very vivid dream, and I had a dream that I was in your house.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: We were having like a get together, small get together, so you hadn't been there before.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: I think I had just once, but that was it.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: Um for Abby's birthday.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, so it had only been once, but it was a it was a get together, but it's that part of your dream where you don't remember who else was there, you just know that there was like something going on, right?
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: And I think there wasn't a lot of like there was a lot of feelings of anger, and you had a lot of anger during that time.
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: And I remember that um at that time, Hayden, who you know you're with now, he was in the dream, and in that dream, we all stayed in the living room, which is there, and there was we could close the doors for us to go into the kitchen because your kitchen, you walk in, it's your kitchen, um, your dining room.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: We could close the doors and we would all lay down on there, like blow-up mattresses, we would all laid there, and I felt very uneasy, and something about me, and then I would get up, and I was like, Okay, there's something, something's not okay here.
- 23:27SPEAKER_01: It's not okay.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: So I would get up and I would open the room, but only I was allowed to go into here, and I wouldn't walk down your hallway, but I would look at the house all of a sudden from the outside.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: So I was outside now in your front, in your front, um, your front porch, and I was looking at the house, and I could only see that if I look at the house on the left corner of the house, there was a man dressed as a clown, just laughing.
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: And it was the corner room, it was a lot of darkness, yeah, and he was just laughing in that museum area, and he was laughing and laughing, almost like mocking you.
- 24:07SPEAKER_01: And I had to sit there and I had to pray, and it took me such a long time because you're kind of like it's not sleep paralysis, but it's like you're having like my words wouldn't come out, and like just say trying to say God's name was like very challenging and very hard, and it was a lot of wrestling back and forth that would happen, and then eventually I would be like exhausted, and we were like done and and like taken care of.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: But I vividly remember and I knew that it was him.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: He was dressed up as a clown and he was just laughing.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: And I told you, I was like, I remember and I hadn't seen your house.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: I hadn't seen your house.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: I think we went to the backyard because it was a kid's birthday party.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: I didn't know what that room was, and you were like, No, that was that was that was his room, yeah.
- 24:51SPEAKER_02: Where where she was describing, I remember this now.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: That's like where he kept all his like treasures and we called it his music, oddities or whatever.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: You know, speaking of that though, I never told you this, but after he passed, I had a hard time going into your house.
- 25:06SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: What did you feel?
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: Uh uneasy, like just I was not comfortable.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: Um I could do like your kitchen, like I could stand there and like go to your living room, like that part of the house.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: I was fine.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: But then when any if I stepped further down into the hallway, I just was I would get very uneasy and feeling like I don't know.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: It's just like creepy.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:31SPEAKER_02: It's it's weird because like I mean Abby had talked about because he passed in the in the bedroom, which is what Abby's describing, what Amanda's describing.
- 25:40SPEAKER_02: There's the living room, there's the kitchen and dining room, and then his museum was up here, and then down the hall is where all the bedrooms are, and it's kind of secluded on its own.
- 25:49SPEAKER_02: And he ended up passing away in in our bedroom and the master bedroom.
- 25:54SPEAKER_02: And um I think when you kind of look at the the whole thing together, it could have been something where you're like, Why would you still live there?
- 26:03SPEAKER_02: And I think a lot of people felt that like why did you stay there?
- 26:06SPEAKER_02: And Abby and I, my daughter Abby, not this Abby, but anyway.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: Um, we talked about it, and I was like, Do you and we considered moving?
- 26:15SPEAKER_02: And she was like, I don't, this is our house.
- 26:19SPEAKER_02: Like, I want to be here, I want to take it back.
- 26:21SPEAKER_02: This is our house.
- 26:23SPEAKER_02: And I will tell you, I smudged that house, I cleaned it, but this weird thing ha has happened and it continues to happen, and I don't quite know how to put my finger on it, but it's interesting like what you both were saying, because I have not heard that part.
- 26:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:37SPEAKER_02: But um, and when I went back for the first time after um my sister-in-law had everything in the bedroom cleaned out and and all that, which I didn't realize is a whole part of your homeowner's insurance from disaster cleanup, they take care of all of it and they pay for it.
- 26:52SPEAKER_02: So she had that all done.
- 26:53SPEAKER_02: And I went in back with Desi, and Desi walked the whole house with me and we smudged the entire thing.
- 26:58SPEAKER_02: And um, I've never felt uneasy because of my my anger was hefty, and I and I refuse to let him have continued control over us in the future.
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: Um, but I don't think I ever really considered that other people would have an easy situation.
- 27:16SPEAKER_02: So that's interesting.
- 27:17SPEAKER_02: Do you still feel that way?
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: No, no, I it was I haven't felt that way.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: It was right away.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: Like when after you had every gotten everything cleaned up.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Now I don't know when you staged the house.
- 27:28SPEAKER_02: That the a week and a half after.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: Um, and or when when did you get the when did you have the house blessed?
- 27:36SPEAKER_02: By the by the priest?
- 27:37SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 27:38SPEAKER_02: Oh, that was um probably three or four weeks before.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: Because I feel like that was I went there at it was in between.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: So it was after you had staged it and then before blessing.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: And I was like, I don't I told Tyler, I was like, I don't really want to be here right now.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: Like I I mean I know what had happened, but I don't think it was just that.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: It was just like the feeling.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and he was like, I understand, but we need to be there for Kate, you know.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: And I said, No, you don't understand how I'm feeling right now.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: And I said, I'm gonna suck it up, but I'm I feel very uncomfortable right now.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: And so then I think after you had gotten the house blessed, I haven't felt that way since.
- 28:18SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 28:19SPEAKER_02: Well, and the blessing too was like I think I told you it was like this Christian preacher, and he would bang on the walls and he would bang on the windows, and he like it was like a fee.
- 28:29SPEAKER_02: And we walked through there, my parents were there, Abby was there, I think Mike's parents were there, and we walked room to room, window to window, door to door, and he did the entire it took like two hours.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: I think you have to, yeah, you have to.
- 28:42SPEAKER_02: It's like saging too.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 28:44SPEAKER_02: And and I will say I think that helped because after that is when Abby and I started sleeping in separate bedrooms, but until then we were sleeping together.
- 28:51SPEAKER_02: I also didn't want our us to create a dependency where it's like we had to be together.
- 28:56SPEAKER_02: Um, but random before I get into the next story.
- 28:59SPEAKER_02: So there's this cat.
- 29:00SPEAKER_02: Have you seen the cat at my house?
- 29:01SPEAKER_02: Tammy Tammy.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: She's so cute.
- 29:05SPEAKER_02: So it's my neighbor's cat, and everyone's always like, Oh, I love your cat, and like that's not my cat.
- 29:09SPEAKER_02: Well, when we moved into that house, the cat was there in the windows, always in in and out of our windows.
- 29:15SPEAKER_02: You could see him from her from the inside.
- 29:17SPEAKER_02: Dogs would bark at her or whatever.
- 29:19SPEAKER_02: And then, like, slowly, maybe a month or two after we lived there, you didn't see her very often, like at all.
- 29:26SPEAKER_02: And then, um, after he passed away, you know, I'm looking through his phone and seeing what's in there, and I saw videos, and there's so many videos of him with that cat because he spent a lot of time outside on the front porch drinking and smoking, and he was always outside.
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: And there's so many videos of him playing with this cat, like Tammy and him were weirdly never saw the cat.
- 29:49SPEAKER_02: Tons of videos of him, the cat.
- 29:51SPEAKER_02: And then he passed away, and the day that we returned to the house with Desi and and everybody, um, the cat starts showing up in and out of the windows, and every day since he passed away, that cat is there.
- 30:05SPEAKER_02: We see her all the time.
- 30:07SPEAKER_02: And I'm not sure if it's like a protection thing.
- 30:10SPEAKER_02: I've looked into even like does spirits stay in animals?
- 30:13SPEAKER_02: Like, could it have like attached he could he have attached himself to the cat?
- 30:19SPEAKER_02: Like, because of the in the method of death that he had, a lot of people don't believe that you're able to pass into heaven, right?
- 30:26SPEAKER_02: That you're stuck around.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: So maybe he I don't know, maybe I don't think it's it's I don't think so, because I mean if you go back in time.
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: Historically historically, the Egyptians kept the cats around because they warded off evil spirits.
- 30:41SPEAKER_02: Well, maybe that's maybe that is maybe that it's maybe she's protecting us.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: And that's why I've always said I would have cats and Tyler's allergic to them, but I'm said, screw you, I'm keeping Yeah.
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: That's so interesting.
- 30:53SPEAKER_02: I didn't think that actually makes me feel better about it.
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: But I love Tammy, she's so sweet.
- 30:57SPEAKER_02: But I'm allergic too, so I pet her and then I go in and wash my hands.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: But yeah, no, that's why that's why they kept cats, and they thought of them as gods because they wanted evil spirits.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and if you see me, I mean I know some people probably don't look into it as much as I do, but like I always see whenever I see cats like randomly staring out of like a corner or something, they're seeing something.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: Oh wow.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: Well, it's gotten to the point now where the cat has been there every day for the last two years where the dogs don't even bark at her anymore.
- 31:27SPEAKER_02: Like they're just so used.
- 31:29SPEAKER_02: It's like she lives there with us.
- 31:30SPEAKER_02: She's precious though.
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: I love her.
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she is very she's a sweet cat.
- 31:33SPEAKER_02: Well, anyway, that's creepy.
- 31:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 31:35SPEAKER_02: But um well, I'm I'm interested if other people have stories like that at the house.
- 31:41SPEAKER_02: I forgot the clown one.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: I that was creepy.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, but that that gave me chills, and like I was like, no.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: There's I was telling Kate, there's even in my sleep paralysis, there's a lot of warfare that goes on there, like a lot.
- 31:55SPEAKER_01: And I think the next story was probably the heaviest times I've experienced sleep paralysis, and I've experienced it for so long.
- 32:04SPEAKER_01: Like it, I don't think it's attached to like the house.
- 32:07SPEAKER_02: Like it's attached to you?
- 32:09SPEAKER_01: No, I don't think it's attached to me, but I think that um for some interest like I'm always intervening on behalf of other people, like, or or always fighting something on behalf.
- 32:20SPEAKER_01: So this next story was actually one that happened here at this house.
- 32:25SPEAKER_01: And I remember Brad Words.
- 32:28SPEAKER_01: Oh no, um Josh, that's Josh's side, and this is my side.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: This is where I sleep, and I was going to bed, and I like to sleep with a very ergonomic pillow.
- 32:40SPEAKER_02: So I'm a very specific pillow.
- 32:42SPEAKER_02: She made me try it out.
- 32:43SPEAKER_01: It's it's supposed to help um with your chin.
- 32:46SPEAKER_01: Um, but nonetheless, nonetheless, I was I was in bed, and I remember that you know, sleep paralysis happens, and you kind of don't realize it, but then something something happens, and typically you see a negative presence.
- 32:59SPEAKER_01: Um, I've seen it in the corner of the bed, I've seen it like as a shadow, I've seen it as in a female version, I've seen it in like uh like the devil pretty much, um, in very different forms.
- 33:10SPEAKER_01: And this time it was a shadow, it was a shadow, and I was laying like this, but the shadow I I couldn't see it like on the ceiling, and I couldn't, I could just feel it next to me.
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: And then I was here, and it was very interesting because the lights were on.
- 33:26SPEAKER_01: No, the lights were off.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: I was sleeping, Josh was there, and my door was open.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: My door was open, and the bathroom light was on.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: So you can see if you turn on the light late at night, it's a hallway right here, so you could literally see.
- 33:40SPEAKER_01: And Mia's up at like 5 30 in the morning every day getting herself ready.
- 33:45SPEAKER_01: She's the first one to get up.
- 33:46SPEAKER_02: She's the one with the buried umbilical cord.
- 33:48SPEAKER_02: If you watch that episode, grounded care.
- 33:50SPEAKER_01: Very responsible.
- 33:51SPEAKER_01: Um so in my in my sleep paralysis, I'm here and there's a presence in my room.
- 33:58SPEAKER_01: My door is open, and my daughter's getting ready for school.
- 34:01SPEAKER_01: However, my daughter comes up to the door and she can't walk into my room, but she talks to me.
- 34:06SPEAKER_01: She's like, Hey mom, like I'm doing this, or where's my bow, or where's this?
- 34:09SPEAKER_01: And I talk to her and she goes back to doing what she's doing.
- 34:13SPEAKER_01: And um, there was like this very heavy feeling of I want your kid.
- 34:18SPEAKER_01: Like, I want, I I want your kid, or I want like, and while we're doing that, I'm like, I need to like we need some light in this room.
- 34:28SPEAKER_01: And I remember in my dream, I tell Josh, okay, I need I need to turn the lights on, and he goes, Um, what are you talking about?
- 34:34SPEAKER_01: Like, we have no power.
- 34:36SPEAKER_01: And I was like, What do you mean?
- 34:38SPEAKER_01: So I'm like wrestling in my sleep paralysis.
- 34:40SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to get out of bed to turn on my nightlight, like my light right here in my on my nightstand, and I turn it on and it's off.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: And he looks at me and he goes, I told you they don't work, the lights don't work.
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: And I was like, No, and the spirit's right here, like it's just watching me and kind of just mocking me.
- 34:57SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Okay, so I get up to the towards the door and I turn on the switch, and yet again the light doesn't turn on.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I need some light, I need music.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: Let's put on some Christian music.
- 35:08SPEAKER_01: And Josh is like, No, that I can't do that, like there's no light, there's nothing.
- 35:13SPEAKER_01: And I lay back in bed, and the moment I lay back in bed, that spirit crawls on me and it starts breathing on my neck.
- 35:20SPEAKER_01: And this is the closest I have ever had sleep paralysis.
- 35:24SPEAKER_01: No, usually I would see it like in the corner of the room, I would see it in like the foot of my bed, on top, like but on the ceiling, and it was breathing on me, and it was breathing so heavily, and it was making fun of me, and it was just breathing, and I kid you not, Josh gets up to go to the bathroom, and I'm able to kind of like get out of it, and I just start crying.
- 35:47SPEAKER_01: Like, I wake up and I start crying.
- 35:49SPEAKER_01: He goes, What is wrong?
- 35:51SPEAKER_01: And I was like, You don't understand what just happened.
- 35:54SPEAKER_01: And I go on and I tell him this story, and I'm like, he's still here.
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: We need to pray.
- 36:00SPEAKER_01: And he goes, What do you mean?
- 36:01SPEAKER_01: Like, call your mom, like I'll know what to do.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: Like, what do we do?
- 36:06SPEAKER_01: My mom has also experienced sleep paralysis, and um, my mom did an answer, my sister did an answer, so then I call his sister, and she's just like, I don't know what to do.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: Um, so I was like, It's okay.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: I hang up, him and I start praying, and we pray, and it was like a small prayer, and it just and I went back to bed and we put on Christian music, and it still was and I was like, He's not done.
- 36:28SPEAKER_01: I was like, he's still in this room, and I got down on two knees and I started praying and I started rebuking, and um finally when I'm like okay, I get up and I'm like, okay, it's done, like this is done.
- 36:43SPEAKER_01: Mia's Mia walks in and she goes, Mom, I heard the whole thing, like she was up the whole time, and she starts crying, so we start crying together.
- 36:52SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I'm so sorry.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: But the craziest part of this is that I feel like the only reason that this happened is that my mother-in-law was doing something for somebody's wedding and they brought a big mirror in.
- 37:04SPEAKER_01: That big mirror only lasted one day, and that one night that's what I experienced.
- 37:10SPEAKER_01: There was a spirit trying to take my kid.
- 37:12SPEAKER_02: And that mirror.
- 37:13SPEAKER_02: What did they do with the mirror?
- 37:15SPEAKER_02: They took it out.
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: Well, she took it to her house.
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: She was putting, like, you know, how they do like the weddings, like, welcome to so-and-so's wedding.
- 37:21SPEAKER_01: Oh, on the mirror.
- 37:21SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 37:22SPEAKER_02: Where's the mirror now?
- 37:24SPEAKER_01: It's at whoever's house, like the client.
- 37:26SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 37:26SPEAKER_01: Because they say mirrors are like portals.
- 37:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 37:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:30SPEAKER_02: I've always really like enjoyed mirrors, but I've had situations in which they're not great.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: You know, not so bueno.
- 37:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 37:39SPEAKER_02: Those are that's interesting.
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: I remember you telling me that story too.
- 37:42SPEAKER_02: Those are creepy.
- 37:43SPEAKER_02: But I feel like it's interesting that all three of us have like a preconceived notion to be able to be around ghosts and spirits and have those types of experiences.
- 37:54SPEAKER_02: Because I've always been really sensitive and like high level, my mom, we were living at this house when I was a kid, and we'd lived there for like my first 11 years, and my whole life I always saw Shadow Man at the end of the hall, always standing there.
- 38:09SPEAKER_02: And so to me, it didn't bug me because I've seen him since I was little, right?
- 38:13SPEAKER_02: And when we moved out of that house, I remember saying to my mom, I'm like, Oh, at least I won't see you shadow man anymore.
- 38:19SPEAKER_02: And my mom goes, Oh, you see him too?
- 38:21SPEAKER_02: And I remember that my mom said that.
- 38:23SPEAKER_02: My mom's seen ghosts and had the craziest experiences, so I really believe it like it's a genetic thing.
- 38:28SPEAKER_00: I think so too, because my mom my mom's never told me anything like that, but growing well, when she was um in the military and she was out of state, I think she was in Texas or whatever, and my grandma would call her, and my mom would know it was my grandma before this was before call RD, mind you.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: So, like the rotor rotor phones and you know everything.
- 38:48SPEAKER_00: She my she knew it was my grandma calling her, and she'd pick up the phone and go, Hi mom.
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: Every time.
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: Every time.
- 38:54unknown: Weird.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 38:56SPEAKER_02: I think there's just an intuition.
- 38:58SPEAKER_02: I think there's just something about like some people tap into it differently.
- 39:02SPEAKER_02: Yes, you know.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: And I think like when I've had all of my ghost experiences, I've like hearing the stories is scary, but being in the moment, I'm not scared.
- 39:12SPEAKER_02: Like it's I it's very weird.
- 39:14SPEAKER_02: So my craziest story, which is the one I'm gonna tell, and this is like the one that probably is the most real experience, and I mean I've had a lot of them, but this is the wor probably the craziest.
- 39:26SPEAKER_02: So when I was like 19, I bought this house.
- 39:29SPEAKER_02: Um this is the one you told me about.
- 39:31SPEAKER_02: Did I tell you this part?
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: Okay, so this one's creepy.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: I don't like this one.
- 39:35SPEAKER_02: So I bought this house when I was 19, and it had a big front room, and then the bedrooms were in the back.
- 39:42SPEAKER_02: And I was living with my boyfriend, and our friends came to kind of like celebrate the house with us, and there was this really big hook in the corner of the living room.
- 39:52SPEAKER_02: And when I say like not a plant hook, it was probably like like this big, and it was screwed and bolted into the ceiling, so it was in the corner of the room, and it was always there, and I just never really thought about it.
- 40:05SPEAKER_02: But none of the people, like we're 19, 20, 21, 22, all my friends, no one would sleep in the back of the house.
- 40:12SPEAKER_02: Everybody stayed in the front room all together that first night we were there.
- 40:16SPEAKER_02: And there was always kind of this feeling that something was there, but I didn't quite know what it was, and I didn't really see anything.
- 40:24SPEAKER_02: And we also had this roommate who my boyfriend at the time was like an ex-Mormon, and his friend who had a falling out with his parents and was younger, like 16, 17 at that point, um, ended up moving in with us, and so he was our roommate, and um that was just kind of whatever, and then he met this girl, and the girl was like really into like Wiccan and like spirits and that type of stuff, and she wanted like for Christmas one year, he made her a potion cabinet with like and like oh wow, yeah, like very into it, and she would have like petals and po like stuff like that crystals and stuff like that.
- 41:08SPEAKER_02: And it wasn't like the hippie dippy crystal kind, it was like the weird, like I'm gonna try to conjure something kind of like amethyst for this, yeah.
- 41:19SPEAKER_00: Like that.
- 41:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:20SPEAKER_02: Anyway, so one he she had like kind of shown up dating him and then not officially moved in, but she was always there, so she was always spending the night, and she had this black cat that she brought with her, which was weird.
- 41:34SPEAKER_02: I let her stay with the black cat because I love cat, like black cats, the idea of them, but I'm allergic to cats, so I wouldn't have usually done that, but she had this cat.
- 41:43SPEAKER_02: And every once in a while you'd see like the cat get picked up and like m like moved, like, and it wasn't like somebody would like it jumped, it was like it went up and over and down again.
- 41:53SPEAKER_00: Like with nobody picking it up, it just like that's weird, and so there was like these weird things that started happening that you know, outside of the creepy feeling of the back of the house.
- 42:04SPEAKER_01: I just imagine the poor kid, like, here we go again.
- 42:07unknown: Right?
- 42:08SPEAKER_01: Like, would you like get out of my way?
- 42:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was weird.
- 42:14SPEAKER_02: I think at one point he was trying to like impress her and like show her that he could deal with spirits or whatever.
- 42:22SPEAKER_02: And we had gone to bed and we're in the in our room, and the back of the house was like an L-shape hall of the hallway, and it was like my room, his room, and then like a a third bedroom in in the corner.
- 42:36SPEAKER_02: And so we went to bed, and like out of nowhere, I immediately sit up out of bed, calm as shit.
- 42:44SPEAKER_02: Like, just I felt like I just needed to get up.
- 42:47SPEAKER_02: And I remember like kind of waking him up and going, like, I need to get up, and I just have to get up and and I don't I don't even know why, but I was not tired, nothing jolted me, I just felt like I had to get up.
- 42:58SPEAKER_02: So I opened the bedroom door and he's standing outside my bedroom door, and he's wearing like shorts and no shirt.
- 43:07SPEAKER_02: She's nowhere to be seen.
- 43:09SPEAKER_02: I have no idea where she's at, and his hands are crunched up like this, and he's like shaking his body like this.
- 43:18SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 43:19SPEAKER_02: And and he's right outside the door, and I was like, and I his name was Zach, so I was like, Zach, what are you doing?
- 43:25SPEAKER_02: Like, and I felt very calm, which was the weirdest part about it.
- 43:29SPEAKER_02: But if I didn't describe what it looked like, it's almost as if somebody was learning to use a body for the first time, is the only way I could explain it.
- 43:37SPEAKER_02: Like figuring out the fingers, like contorting through his body.
- 43:41SPEAKER_02: It was really like obviously a new user, like first day, you know, like in there.
- 43:48SPEAKER_02: And I was like, I'd call his name over and over again, Zach Zack, Zack, and you'd see him come back, and when he came back, his face would change, his body would would relax, his hands would relax.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: And he's be he'd be like, What's happening?
- 44:01SPEAKER_02: And then he'd go back in it again.
- 44:03SPEAKER_02: And his whole body would curl up and his hands would curl up and he'd start shaking again.
- 44:07SPEAKER_01: You didn't wake up your boyfriend?
- 44:08SPEAKER_02: No.
- 44:09SPEAKER_02: I did I was calm.
- 44:10SPEAKER_02: I don't know what it was.
- 44:12SPEAKER_02: I was just like so calm.
- 44:13SPEAKER_02: I was like, okay.
- 44:14SPEAKER_02: And I just kept trying to bring him back.
- 44:16SPEAKER_02: And he would come back for a while.
- 44:17SPEAKER_02: And I think we probably did that for like an hour or so.
- 44:20SPEAKER_00: Like my God, you never said it was that.
- 44:23SPEAKER_02: It was a long time that I was trying to get him to like come out of it.
- 44:27SPEAKER_02: And then it got to the point where I was like, nothing's happening.
- 44:29SPEAKER_02: And I I always keep um sage on hand just in case.
- 44:34SPEAKER_02: And so um I like got him to move into his bedroom, but obviously you can't lock someone in from the outside of their door.
- 44:41SPEAKER_02: So I got like a rope and I tied his doorknob to the other doorknob in the the hallway.
- 44:48SPEAKER_02: So like the two doorknob doors were like yeah, yeah.
- 44:51SPEAKER_02: And so it wasn't tight enough to like keep him like from opening it.
- 44:56SPEAKER_02: So every once in a while his fingers would come out the door, you know, and he would like push the fingers out, and then he would go back in and he would like try to crawl out and go back in.
- 45:06SPEAKER_02: And I got the sage and I started blowing it under his door, and I did that probably for like another hour, like just to try to like flush it out.
- 45:14SPEAKER_02: And then I got tired and I was like, okay, well, he's locked in there, like I'll just go to bed.
- 45:19SPEAKER_02: So I I go back to bed, and I woke up in the morning, and again, very calm, like none of this like scared me, which I think is the weirdest part.
- 45:28SPEAKER_02: Because telling it now, you're like, that's fucking terrifying, you know.
- 45:32SPEAKER_02: But anyway, so I wake up in the morning and I like go to check on him, and the doors are still tied shut.
- 45:40SPEAKER_02: So I untie it and I like open the door and I look in there, and he's standing there in his underwear, like just standing there, and he was like, What happened?
- 45:49SPEAKER_01: Oh wow.
- 45:50SPEAKER_02: And it was him, no, nothing else, but it was full sure for sure him.
- 45:55SPEAKER_02: And so I walked in through like what happened, and I was like, Tell me what happened before I woke up.
- 45:59SPEAKER_02: Like, what were you doing?
- 46:01SPEAKER_02: And he was like, he admitted, he was like, I was trying to impress her, and we were messing around in the area of the house with that hook in the living room, and I was like taunting this thing, like, like as if there was something there, I just kind of assumed and we were joking, and I was just trying to like, oh, I can handle this, and um like it I think it got in me and she left.
- 46:26SPEAKER_02: I never saw her.
- 46:28SPEAKER_02: She left she left him like that, and she didn't even take her potion cabinet.
- 46:32SPEAKER_02: We had it in there, I sold it at a garage sale.
- 46:34SPEAKER_02: Wow, she was gone, I never saw her again.
- 46:37SPEAKER_02: And then he lived there.
- 46:39SPEAKER_01: Wait, so they broke up?
- 46:40SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 46:41SPEAKER_02: I never saw her again.
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: Oh wow.
- 46:44SPEAKER_02: She said he said that she left.
- 46:46SPEAKER_02: Like, cause he was like messing around and something weird happened, and then she was gone.
- 46:50SPEAKER_02: I never saw her after I, you know, woke up, you know?
- 46:54SPEAKER_01: She did her job.
- 46:55SPEAKER_02: So something weird was happening.
- 46:56SPEAKER_02: Well, anyway, he ended up moving out of out of that house like a month later.
- 47:02SPEAKER_02: And when he left, the house felt clean and clear.
- 47:06SPEAKER_02: Like there was never another It attached to him.
- 47:08SPEAKER_02: It attached to him and he took it with him.
- 47:10SPEAKER_02: And to this day, I've never seen or spoken to him ever again.
- 47:15SPEAKER_02: So I have no idea what happened to him either.
- 47:18SPEAKER_03: That's crazy.
- 47:19SPEAKER_02: And that was like the weirdest experience, but like very calm.
- 47:24SPEAKER_02: I like it's like I knew what to do, which was the weird part.
- 47:28SPEAKER_02: Because that's the only time I ever saw like what I would call like demon possession almost.
- 47:33SPEAKER_02: Like the way that his his fingers were contorting, and then the the thing that gets people is a door, like his hands are trying to come out.
- 47:39SPEAKER_02: It's like a it's like a horror movie, yeah, you know, but anyway, that's my creepiest story.
- 47:45SPEAKER_01: I think even when you're joking around, like if he's like, Oh yeah, I can take it on, like you immediately, like with your words, with oh, you're you're inviting it.
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: You give access.
- 47:54SPEAKER_01: Like you give you open up yourself, it's crazy.
- 47:56SPEAKER_02: Well, and I've always had like the ability to like kind of connect with spirits on another level, and I always describe it almost like I'm wearing my Beetlejuice shirt, but almost like Beetlejuice, where there's like a waiting room and they're like waiting to talk to you, and I end up years ago, probably now, closed the door and I haven't reopened it, and I haven't had experiences like that since then.
- 48:19SPEAKER_02: Um, but it was happening a lot at that time.
- 48:22SPEAKER_02: Like it's like I had opened up something, and it never was anything like attack to me.
- 48:27SPEAKER_02: They always wanted to like talk to me or have help from me or seek somebody out.
- 48:32SPEAKER_02: But I was like the ghost whisperer.
- 48:34SPEAKER_02: Kind of, but you remember that show?
- 48:36SPEAKER_00: Yes, okay.
- 48:36SPEAKER_02: But like some of those people I think are full of shit.
- 48:39SPEAKER_02: I know my shit was real and it was scary, and I just shut that shit, like close for business, and every once in a while, like there'll be like a little thing, but I've never had an experience with Abby's dad since that ever.
- 48:54SPEAKER_02: Like when Desi's husband passed away, we tried.
- 48:56SPEAKER_02: I couldn't get him either, so I have no idea what happened, but I just shut it all down.
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean, like, some I think I feel like some spirits like they just move on right away.
- 49:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
- 49:06SPEAKER_02: I think he did because he was very content that she'd be taken care of.
- 49:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I feel like some do, and then I feel like some linger, and then I know when my dad had passed away, my aunt had spoken to um I don't I forget where she met it because my aunt lives in New York, and she said that she had um met this Native American man, and what he believed in, and I don't know if that's all Native Americans, but he said they believe that the spirit stays around for a year and then then they pass, like then they move on.
- 49:37SPEAKER_03: Hmm.
- 49:39SPEAKER_00: So he was like, Oh, well then because she was.
- 49:42SPEAKER_00: So they can check everything, maybe yeah, make sure everything's like okay, the family's doing fine, you know, that kind of stuff.
- 49:49SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: So that's interesting.
- 49:53SPEAKER_02: Do we want to do rapid fire questions now?
- 49:55SPEAKER_00: Let's do it.
- 49:56SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 49:56SPEAKER_00: I hope you guys enjoyed our ghost stories because those are both y'all's were like the creepiest, especially sleep paralysis stuff.
- 50:06SPEAKER_00: Like I've had sleep paralysis where I feel like something's staring at me, like a shadow figure or something, but I've never had it to where they're breathing on me.
- 50:16SPEAKER_01: That that was the closest.
- 50:18SPEAKER_01: I've had it, I've had one instance where Josh was sleeping and I was sleeping and we were facing each other, and one was hugging, it was a female, I could tell.
- 50:27SPEAKER_01: It was hugging him, had long hair.
- 50:29SPEAKER_01: And I remember he said my eyes were open, completely open, and he was like, I could tell you were asleep.
- 50:36SPEAKER_02: And it's so funny because Did he know that she was there?
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: No.
- 50:39SPEAKER_01: Oh, um, only you can see then.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: Only you can see.
- 50:44SPEAKER_01: And then there was one time where it was pretty much just the devil, but in like what is it?
- 50:49SPEAKER_01: Um, his horns and everything, like the animal form.
- 50:52SPEAKER_01: And I used to have pedestals on my bed, and he was like on the opposite corner just watching me.
- 50:57SPEAKER_01: Oh, like a like a gloygoyle.
- 51:00SPEAKER_01: Yes, it started very like innocent, where it was the corner of the room, the top of the room.
- 51:05SPEAKER_01: And that's how usually it happens is they get closer to you and they end up getting closer.
- 51:09SPEAKER_01: I also remember this is why he told me to call my mom.
- 51:13SPEAKER_01: Um, when I got pregnant with Mia, and I left my house.
- 51:18SPEAKER_01: I left my house very abruptly.
- 51:20SPEAKER_01: Um, honestly, my mom didn't kick me out, I was just like scared.
- 51:24SPEAKER_01: So we ended up like getting our own place right away.
- 51:27SPEAKER_01: And I went with his mom for like a couple weeks and we got our own apartment.
- 51:31SPEAKER_01: Um, but I left so abruptly, and my mom said that leading before that, leading up to me, you know, her finding out that I was pregnant and me leaving the house, she also had sleep paralysis, but she was wrestling with the devil, like holding me.
- 51:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she was holding my hand and he was holding my hand, and they were just playing tug of war with me.
- 51:50SPEAKER_01: And she goes, Um, your sister had to wake me up because I just kept, you know, screaming, and I was like, Oh my goodness.
- 51:57SPEAKER_01: Um, and there's also been times where she said she feels um like a demon or something, just like scratch her, but like try to pull her legs and stuff.
- 52:06SPEAKER_01: It's it it gets very vivid, and I remember I'm telling you, I I I have a lot of dreams, and where we grew up in and where we live, there was a lady that did witchcraft across the like right exactly in front of us, and I always remember she had a mirror on her door, she had a small little mirror, and I remember that there was one time where I was outside of the house and it was a dream, and there was witches on top of her roof just flying in a circle, like on brooms or just by themselves?
- 52:37SPEAKER_01: No, on brooms, they were just flying in a circle on top of her house, and it was so funny because when she lived there, we would find a lot of dead birds.
- 52:46SPEAKER_03: That's bizarre.
- 52:50SPEAKER_01: But I do think that I don't know, I pray over my food, I pray over everything.
- 52:55SPEAKER_01: I when we got this house, I pray over the house.
- 52:58SPEAKER_01: I do I even sometimes when the girls work on and I was laid off, I would just play like keep music on and stuff like that.
- 53:05SPEAKER_01: I like to keep my space very clean.
- 53:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, in every way.
- 53:10SPEAKER_02: Again, the house is spotless.
- 53:12SPEAKER_02: Um it is and uh very clean always.
- 53:16SPEAKER_02: Okay, say you're not with your significant others, right?
- 53:21SPEAKER_02: And you're dating.
- 53:22SPEAKER_02: If you met someone and they kept a Ouija board in their bedroom, would that be a flag?
- 53:27SPEAKER_01: That's a red flag.
- 53:29SPEAKER_01: You don't even know.
- 53:30SPEAKER_01: We know Amanda's like, nope, I'm good.
- 53:32SPEAKER_01: I'm good.
- 53:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I I would be very turned off by that.
- 53:37SPEAKER_02: But I don't even think that if somebody did that, I would be even interested in pursuing.
- 53:41SPEAKER_01: Remember how they sold them at like Toys R Us before?
- 53:44SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 53:44SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 53:45SPEAKER_02: Can you get them at Target?
- 53:47SPEAKER_00: No, you can't get them at Target.
- 53:48SPEAKER_00: I know you can get them online on like Amazon and stuff.
- 53:51SPEAKER_02: No, thank you.
- 53:52SPEAKER_00: Like our neighbors had bought me one for Christmas because I had told them about that story with the D board.
- 53:58SPEAKER_00: Oh and they were trying to like as a gag gift, and they were trying to like, I'm gonna put it under your bed.
- 54:03SPEAKER_00: I said, no, the fuck you're not.
- 54:04SPEAKER_00: Like didn't they try to?
- 54:07SPEAKER_00: They tried to, yeah.
- 54:08SPEAKER_00: And then I and that they pretended to, but I had found it and I I immediately gave that shit to Goodwill.
- 54:13SPEAKER_00: I'm like, mm-mm.
- 54:14SPEAKER_02: You gave it to Goodwill?
- 54:16SPEAKER_02: I gave out a receipt, probably.
- 54:18SPEAKER_00: Yes, I did.
- 54:22SPEAKER_02: I'm like, not only will my life not be ruined, I get a tax for it, and someone else will find Luigi board.
- 54:30SPEAKER_02: Alright, what's your question?
- 54:31SPEAKER_01: Do you guys watch scary movies in your house, like horror movies?
- 54:35SPEAKER_01: Tyler does.
- 54:36SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 54:36SPEAKER_01: I have watched them.
- 54:38SPEAKER_01: I have seen some, but you're not supposed to.
- 54:42SPEAKER_01: What?
- 54:42SPEAKER_01: Because you open a portal.
- 54:44SPEAKER_01: I've never heard that before.
- 54:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's what we always go to the movies.
- 54:47SPEAKER_02: To watch the scary ones?
- 54:48SPEAKER_01: Well, hardly ever do I watch any ones, but when we do, we go to the movies.
- 54:52SPEAKER_02: That was like Aiden's and I's first like real official date was to watch um the what was the movie with the redhead crazy lady and all of the kids were found in the basement.
- 55:06SPEAKER_02: Anyway, it was weird.
- 55:09SPEAKER_02: And I was I don't watch previews, so I had no idea what to expect.
- 55:12SPEAKER_02: It was very creepy.
- 55:13SPEAKER_02: But recently we just watched Smile 2.
- 55:17SPEAKER_01: Oh no, I don't watch that.
- 55:19SPEAKER_02: I know I don't watch horror movies usually, but he was like, oh, let's watch a scary movie, and then he fucking fell asleep.
- 55:25SPEAKER_02: And then I'm like, well, I have to see what happens.
- 55:27SPEAKER_00: Like I'm sucked.
- 55:28SPEAKER_02: You know, but I didn't think I've never heard that.
- 55:31SPEAKER_00: No, yeah, you can invite spirits into your home.
- 55:33SPEAKER_00: Oh well, good thing I don't really want.
- 55:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, Tyler does, but by himself.
- 55:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because he'll put it on and then like I'll be in there and I'll be watching something on my iPad, and I'm like, I'm not watching Gross usually.
- 55:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, or something.
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: Or Fraser right now.
- 55:47SPEAKER_02: But um I'm re-watching Friends and it's yeah.
- 55:51SPEAKER_00: Um he did get me into terrifier though.
- 55:54SPEAKER_00: The terrifier.
- 55:54SPEAKER_00: I don't know what that is.
- 55:55SPEAKER_00: It's what that's have you seen that black and white clown where he's like, Oh yeah, like that.
- 56:00SPEAKER_00: It's not really scary, it's more gory.
- 56:02SPEAKER_00: Oh, I don't like that.
- 56:04SPEAKER_00: No.
- 56:04SPEAKER_00: So I can do that.
- 56:05SPEAKER_00: I like the terrifier.
- 56:07SPEAKER_02: Hayden likes to saw movies, and I won't watch any of those.
- 56:10SPEAKER_02: So he's like, it watch it's like how far would you go to save your own life?
- 56:14SPEAKER_02: Kind of like, would you cut off your arm?
- 56:15SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, probably not.
- 56:17SPEAKER_02: Like, I probably wouldn't.
- 56:19SPEAKER_02: I'd probably just you know, like, this is where I end.
- 56:22SPEAKER_02: Jesus take me home.
- 56:24SPEAKER_02: You wouldn't cut your arm off?
- 56:25SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'd consider it.
- 56:26SPEAKER_02: Well, I mean, I'd think about it, and then I'd probably be like, I don't know if I had it in me, like that whole less scary 127 hours where his like leg is trapped in that thing, which is the true story.
- 56:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, his arm.
- 56:36SPEAKER_00: His arm.
- 56:36SPEAKER_00: Was it his arm?
- 56:37SPEAKER_02: His arm.
- 56:37SPEAKER_02: He ends up cutting his own arm off with like a like a pocket knife or some shit.
- 56:41SPEAKER_02: I don't think I could that's a true story.
- 56:43SPEAKER_02: I don't think I could do that either.
- 56:44SPEAKER_00: I mean he had to break his own bone too.
- 56:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 56:47SPEAKER_02: I don't think I have the wherewithal to get through the layers that it would take to cut my own limb off.
- 56:53SPEAKER_01: I think in the adrenaline of it all, you have a choice, like an ultimatum.
- 56:56SPEAKER_02: I think you don't feel I don't know if I would I don't know if I could do that.
- 57:02SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 57:03SPEAKER_02: Would you you would consider it?
- 57:05SPEAKER_00: I would.
- 57:06SPEAKER_00: If I was desperate enough, yeah.
- 57:07SPEAKER_00: I just feel like I think it depends.
- 57:09SPEAKER_02: Maybe this is my end.
- 57:10SPEAKER_02: Jesus, take me home.
- 57:12SPEAKER_02: You know?
- 57:13SPEAKER_02: Jesus take the wheel.
- 57:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, take the wheel, take me home.
- 57:17SPEAKER_02: Would you rather see a ghost standing at the foot of your bed or hear someone whisper your name when you're home alone?
- 57:23SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
- 57:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, am I awake when I see the ghost at the end of my bed?
- 57:30SPEAKER_00: It's not like it's not like sleep paralysis.
- 57:32SPEAKER_00: You're awake.
- 57:33SPEAKER_00: Probably the ghost because of mimics.
- 57:38SPEAKER_02: What's that?
- 57:39SPEAKER_00: Um, I don't really know too much about them, but what I've seen, because every once in a while, like the the Appalachian mountains will come on my like Instagram reels, and it's that's a lot of haunted stuff in Appalachian Mountains.
- 57:52SPEAKER_00: That's shit crazy.
- 57:53SPEAKER_02: Like there's a lot of weird people there too.
- 57:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:55SPEAKER_02: Because it runs through upstate New York and down, right?
- 57:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:59SPEAKER_00: But they say that families are from there.
- 58:02SPEAKER_00: They say that whenever you like are home alone and you hear somebody call out your name, it's a mimic.
- 58:07SPEAKER_00: It's somebody that's pretending to be your like loved one, but it's not them.
- 58:12SPEAKER_00: Oh like a siren call.
- 58:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 58:14SPEAKER_00: And that like if you hear um the mountains go was it go quiet, that's there's something going on.
- 58:22SPEAKER_00: Like you should be more scared of it being like super quiet than it being.
- 58:27SPEAKER_02: Sorry, like a tornado.
- 58:28SPEAKER_02: Like it's about to get the worst when it's all get like when we got stuck.
- 58:32SPEAKER_00: Like you're never supposed to whistle out there because then somebody could whistle back to you.
- 58:36SPEAKER_00: And yeah, it's it's crazy.
- 58:39SPEAKER_00: Like I'm my phone's listening right now, and it's I bet you when I get home and I start stoom scrolling, it's gonna be terrifying.
- 58:47SPEAKER_02: I don't think I'll be able to watch scary movies at home anymore after what you said.
- 58:51SPEAKER_02: Well, I'm not good at it.
- 58:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, all right.
- 58:53SPEAKER_00: I need to like sage my house again.
- 58:55SPEAKER_02: I have some if you want.
- 58:56SPEAKER_00: I have some too.
- 58:57SPEAKER_00: Trust me, when we moved in our house, I saged it.
- 58:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I always do that.
- 59:01SPEAKER_02: I always do that.
- 59:02SPEAKER_01: La llorona or el Kukui.
- 59:06SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 59:06SPEAKER_02: And then we'll answer.
- 59:07SPEAKER_01: So uh there's a lot of different um tales about him.
- 59:11SPEAKER_01: The way I remember it being told, it's like I don't know.
- 59:15SPEAKER_01: I honestly don't know like the legenda or like the story behind it, but the way my dad described it is like it's this man who likes to take children.
- 59:26SPEAKER_01: Um, but if you're out and about, because you shouldn't be out like in Mexico, you would be out all all late and then you go inside to your house.
- 59:34SPEAKER_01: Um, but if not, I don't remember the story of the man, but he comes and he takes you.
- 59:38SPEAKER_01: And then La Llorona, well, obviously we all know she lost her kids in the river and she's just crying to find her kids.
- 59:44SPEAKER_01: I'd rather do it with her.
- 59:45SPEAKER_02: I I I feel like with that the fact that we live in this state that we live in, it I feel and I'm not Mexican, I'm not Hispanic, but I do feel like those types of stories are so ingrained in like the culture here where like even my kid, she she heard about La Lionona, and I told her, I'm like, okay, this is what it is, right?
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_02: Because I I think it's like part of like living here, you know what that is.
- 1:00:12SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_02: She the story about her is very scary though, like where she's like searching for children to replace the kids that got taken in the I think it had something to do with postpartum depression.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_01: Like maybe she went so crazy that she ended up killing her kids, and um then she pretends like oh, but she's like playing with the kids and they're like dead bodies, but she's and then it like it finally hits her, but it never she never kind of got out of the grief.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_01: So she's always looking for her children.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_01: And then thinking that other kids are there.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_02: That's got like a Lindsay Clancy, what's the movie with um um you're not gonna know because she never knows the movies?
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_02: Let Leonardo DiCaprio where he is on the island Shutter Island.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_02: Shutter Islands.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_02: Oh, I have seen that.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, you've seen it! Every time I'm like, have you seen this movie?
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_02: She's like, No.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:01:04unknown: Yeah.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_01: Makes me sad.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_01: There is a there is a uh what is it called?
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_01: There's a tell where my dad's from that you find little duendes.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_01: What is it?
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_01: Gnomes?
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_01: Is it like little like leprechauns?
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_02: Well, leprechauns and gnomes are different coming from an Irish person, but I get where you're going.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_01: Un duendecito.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_01: And um you find them, and when you find them, um they're really ugly looking, but when you find them, they look nice and they look happy and they look playful, and it's like a rancho, so it's like out in the wilderness, and they'll play with you.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_01: They'll play with you and you don't realize and you end up getting lost.
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_02: Oh, um, they call those in in sprites strategic sprites.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, sprites.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_01: And my dad's like, when whenever you're here and you're because when I went to go take him to Veracruz, he's like, whenever you're here, just be careful, like don't like if you need to go out, let me know.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_01: And I was like, why?
- 1:01:53SPEAKER_01: He's like, No, but those one this and I'm like, oh okay.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_01: But like it's so weird that like people believes it.
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_02: You know what's when you talk about Veracruz, it makes me think about like the same way that I think about New Orleans.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_02: Because there's like a very much a cultural side of the paranormal that is ingrained in the culture there.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_01: That, yes, the vibe's very different.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_02: You gotta- I don't mean like the vibe, I mean like the way that the paranormal lives and breathes with the people who know what I mean.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_02: If you go to your friend's house, you just just go to their house, but you've known them for a while, you walk in and they have a collection of porcelain dolls.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_01: Oh, that doesn't bother me.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm not a big What if they say they're haunted dolls?
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_01: I think it depends on like I would have to vibe it out.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_02: Oh, if I have a bunch of dolls, I'd be like, get the fuck out.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_01: Josh's grandma has them.
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_02: Are they haunted?
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_01: No, but she hate like collects them.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_01: She has a lot.
- 1:02:51unknown: I find them.
- 1:02:53SPEAKER_00: I yeah, I've never been like scared of dolls.
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_00: And I've never been really scared of clowns either.
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_00: I used to go to clown clown school.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_00: I went to clown school, me and my sister.
- 1:03:01SPEAKER_00: Shut up.
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_02: That is the coolest thing.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_00: What do you know?
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_00: Well, I used to know how to make balloon animals and stuff, and we had like we would get dressed up in like little clown costumes.
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_00: Like the fact that your mom took you, like she's took you.
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_02: I I'm surprised that shouldn't be.
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_00: I don't tell well now the whole world.
- 1:03:26SPEAKER_02: All of our viewers, thank you for sharing your walk up.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_00: Such an interesting thing.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_01: And did too.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like I don't get creeped out with clowns.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_01: I don't get creeped out with because I was one that was my family.
- 1:03:41unknown: Yeah.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_00: But you know, like scary clowns, although it's kind of creepy, but then I finally watched it.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_02: The new one or the old one?
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_00: The old one with Tim Curry.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_00: And I didn't watch the whole thing because it's like what?
- 1:03:52SPEAKER_00: Like it's like a three, four-hour movie.
- 1:03:56SPEAKER_00: And so I kind of like skipped around and I had caught the tail end of it, and I told Tyler, because Tyler loves scary movies, he'll just watch them.
- 1:04:04SPEAKER_00: And I go up to him, I said, Really?
- 1:04:07SPEAKER_00: This is what they were scared over was a goddamn alien.
- 1:04:10SPEAKER_00: I said, This is what it's all about.
- 1:04:12unknown: Oh that nigga.
- 1:04:14unknown: Spoiler.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_02: But um, the new it, have you seen that guy?
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_00: Oh, Scarsard?
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_00: Scars.
- 1:04:23SPEAKER_02: His family's all of amazing actors, but the way that he's contorted his face, that's his own face that's smiling like that.
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_02: It's not like CGI, it's not anything.
- 1:04:32SPEAKER_02: He practiced making his face look like that.
- 1:04:35SPEAKER_02: And I think shout outs to Tim Curry, I think he's done a better job of it.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_02: It is so much.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_00: Well, it's like the guy that plays um Terrifier, the clown.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_02: See, I don't know that movie.
- 1:04:45SPEAKER_02: I don't want to find out because now I think of clowns, and that story was creepy too.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_02: But I could see him laughing at me too.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_02: You know, like I got one over on you.
- 1:04:55SPEAKER_01: But like it was like a like a deep like laugh, like an evil no, like uh like a taunting you.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_02: No, I can I I almost kind of like hear what you're talking about, which is creepy.
- 1:05:08SPEAKER_02: Well, anyway, happy Halloween to all of you out there.
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_02: Thank you for joining us, Amanda.
- 1:05:12SPEAKER_00: Thank you for having us.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_02: Where work ends and true life, true life, real life begins.
- 1:05:23SPEAKER_02: See you next time.
- 1:05:24SPEAKER_02: Bye.
- 1:05:25SPEAKER_02: Cheers, cheers it.
- 1:05:26SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 1:05:28SPEAKER_02: Cheers, thank you.
