- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody
- 0:06Speaker 1: you're listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now,
- 0:10Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show, got
- 0:14Speaker 1: a good one for you today. Tommy text me and
- 0:18Speaker 1: hit me with a thought this morning that caused me
- 0:21Speaker 1: to thinking a little bit deeper about it. And the
- 0:24Speaker 1: text of Tommy sent me this morning said that a
- 0:27Speaker 1: tree yields fruit seasonally, but even when it's not yielding,
- 0:31Speaker 1: it's still a fruit tree. Don't get upset at not producing.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Your season is coming if you stay planted. Okay, one
- 0:39Speaker 1: more time. A fruit tree yields seasonally, but even when
- 0:44Speaker 1: it's not yielding, it's still a fruit tree. Don't get
- 0:47Speaker 1: upset at not producing, because your season is coming if
- 0:50Speaker 1: you stay planted. Okay. Now, that meant something to me
- 0:54Speaker 1: this morning, and it caused me to start to thinking
- 0:58Speaker 1: it through a little bit deep in terms of what
- 1:01Speaker 1: has happened in my life. Because here's the deal. The
- 1:06Speaker 1: thing that I just learned recently was about seasons in
- 1:13Speaker 1: your life. Seasons. I was familiar with it all my life.
- 1:17Speaker 1: My mother taught it to me. I've experienced it, but
- 1:20Speaker 1: I didn't really get it until of late The thing
- 1:23Speaker 1: about the seasons in your life is when we start
- 1:26Speaker 1: thinking about when you hear people in Churchill, you hear
- 1:29Speaker 1: people say it's your season is coming. Bore you in
- 1:32Speaker 1: your season? You know what was messing me up a
- 1:34Speaker 1: little bit, and it might be messing you up. I
- 1:37Speaker 1: thought of seasons just like I did the seasons winter, spring, summer,
- 1:43Speaker 1: and fall. But I had it on the timeline just
- 1:48Speaker 1: like seasons quarterly a year. So I looked at boy,
- 1:54Speaker 1: is your season, Your season is coming. I looked at
- 1:57Speaker 1: it as a short span of time, and then I
- 2:00Speaker 1: was gonna go back to the barrenness of winter. And
- 2:04Speaker 1: then something might happen a little later on in the spring,
- 2:07Speaker 1: and something pop through the ground and flowers show up,
- 2:10Speaker 1: and then they might survive. The summer is good, and
- 2:12Speaker 1: it's going good all summer long, and I'm guiding them
- 2:15Speaker 1: harvesting crops. Then the fall come and start fading in winter.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I go back to suffering the barrenness of winter like
- 2:22Speaker 1: a crop. But here's what I learned. You cannot look
- 2:27Speaker 1: at your season in life and the seasons that we
- 2:31Speaker 1: go through with the same eye for seasons as you
- 2:35Speaker 1: do with crops. Because God's timeline is totally different. See,
- 2:40Speaker 1: a season to God could be a really extended period
- 2:44Speaker 1: of time. It could be the duration of your life.
- 2:49Speaker 1: That's what a season is in God's timeline. See God
- 2:52Speaker 1: is expansive, man, He's way bigger than the regular thing.
- 2:57Speaker 1: So what may be a season two a farmer, A
- 3:00Speaker 1: season for God could be three hundred years, fifty years,
- 3:03Speaker 1: sixty years, eighty years, you in now. So I had
- 3:07Speaker 1: to learn that because I was afraid that seasonally meant
- 3:12Speaker 1: that this blessing would be for a short period of time.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Then I go back. Then here come another burst, and
- 3:17Speaker 1: then I go back. I fire a few more night shots,
- 3:20Speaker 1: and now I can have a nice summer. And then
- 3:22Speaker 1: I started withing away and here come winning again. The
- 3:25Speaker 1: first things first, that's not how it worked for me,
- 3:28Speaker 1: and that's how I had to learn. So now let's
- 3:30Speaker 1: talk about it with that in mind. See what the
- 3:34Speaker 1: text time he sent me meant a lot to me,
- 3:36Speaker 1: because see, everybody is a fruit tree. We are all
- 3:42Speaker 1: a fruit tree. But here's the key, though, we are
- 3:45Speaker 1: all different kinds of fruit trees. Oh see that's the difference.
- 3:50Speaker 1: And that's the other thing was tripping me off. See
- 3:53Speaker 1: I was looking at the other trees, trying to figure
- 3:58Speaker 1: out why I wasn't given and bearing the same fruit
- 4:02Speaker 1: that they were burying. Why wasn't I a billionaire? Why
- 4:07Speaker 1: wasn't I a yacht owner? Why didn't I come up
- 4:11Speaker 1: with the next great idea? Why wasn't I the next
- 4:15Speaker 1: big producer? Why wasn't I the next big major star.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Why wasn't I the one that came up with some
- 4:23Speaker 1: earth shattering idea and invention that would change the scope
- 4:26Speaker 1: of the world and all this money would flow me?
- 4:29Speaker 1: Why wasn't I Because that ain't my fruit, that that's
- 4:32Speaker 1: not my tree. See, everybody can't be Steve Jobs. Everybody's
- 4:37Speaker 1: not gonna be the guy that comes up with the
- 4:39Speaker 1: next invention that changes the world. You ain't the right brothers.
- 4:43Speaker 1: You may not be the one to think of flight.
- 4:45Speaker 1: But what is your fruit? Though? See? Your fruit is plenty,
- 4:49Speaker 1: see and and and and and what the what the
- 4:51Speaker 1: text was saying, is your fruit? You You bear fruits seasonally,
- 4:57Speaker 1: That means it's coming. Sometimes you're still spouting. Well, when
- 5:00Speaker 1: you sprouting, you can't have fruit on you yet. What
- 5:02Speaker 1: you're tripping for? You just sprouted, You just came up
- 5:06Speaker 1: through the dirt. You've been hustling and grinded. You just
- 5:10Speaker 1: popped up through the dirt. Now you're a young tree.
- 5:12Speaker 1: You a bush. Even if you had fruit on it,
- 5:15Speaker 1: your bark and your limbs ain't strong enough to hold
- 5:17Speaker 1: the fruit. The size of the fruit would break your
- 5:21Speaker 1: limbs if you get it too early. Paul, come on, man,
- 5:25Speaker 1: don't you understand this? Now? This what this text meant
- 5:28Speaker 1: to me? And so while I wanted fruit, I wasn't
- 5:33Speaker 1: ready to hold the fruit. So you gotta strengthen yourself.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You gotta get focus. You gotta be who you're supposed
- 5:39Speaker 1: to be. You gotta try hard. God, the fruit the
- 5:41Speaker 1: season is coming for you, because everybody is a fruit tree,
- 5:45Speaker 1: and everybody gonna bath fruit. But what you cannot do
- 5:48Speaker 1: is think that. Look, if you're a lemon tree and
- 5:52Speaker 1: your fruit that you bear is limit. This is analogy.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Now I'm talking about whatever your gift is. The fruit
- 5:57Speaker 1: you bear is a lemon tree. But you look over there,
- 5:59Speaker 1: and you looking at the apple archid, and you going, man,
- 6:02Speaker 1: but them apples is big and red. More people eat
- 6:05Speaker 1: apples than eat lemons. You sell more apples than you
- 6:07Speaker 1: do lemons. Oh that's true. So Now guess what you do? Now?
- 6:12Speaker 1: You uproot yourself. You take yourself up out of who
- 6:15Speaker 1: you are and what you were born to do. You
- 6:18Speaker 1: remove yourself from your gift. You take yourself all out
- 6:22Speaker 1: of who you really are. Going over there trying to
- 6:25Speaker 1: be an apple tree when God made you the lemon tree.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Now guess what Now you're all about the soil. You
- 6:33Speaker 1: ain't rooted no more, can't no nutrients come up through
- 6:36Speaker 1: your roots to even feed the lemons that He bore
- 6:39Speaker 1: you to have. Now you're over there trying to be
- 6:41Speaker 1: an apple. Well, ain't no room in the apple arch
- 6:43Speaker 1: it for the lemon tree. Now you're wondering why you
- 6:46Speaker 1: can't get your roots down in there, why they ain't
- 6:48Speaker 1: accepting you? Now you're buried? Man, who woar is me? Lord?
- 6:51Speaker 1: You don't never give me no fruit? It's because you
- 6:54Speaker 1: keep moving, You keep taking yourself out of who you are.
- 6:59Speaker 1: You keep removing yourself from the soil that you was
- 7:03Speaker 1: planted in. You keep taking yourself out your orchard. Stop
- 7:06Speaker 1: trying to be an apple. If you was born to
- 7:08Speaker 1: be a lemon, what's wrong with lemons? I like lemonade.
- 7:12Speaker 1: A lot of people I know like lemonade, lemonade. If
- 7:14Speaker 1: you stay focused with it, you might be the only
- 7:16Speaker 1: one with the good limits. Now, everybody that need limits
- 7:19Speaker 1: gotta come to you, oh man. But if you keep
- 7:21Speaker 1: uprooting yourself moving, you'll never bear the fruit that you
- 7:25Speaker 1: was born to bear. Everybody is a fruit tree. But
- 7:28Speaker 1: you got to stay planted, man, You gotta stay nourished.
- 7:32Speaker 1: You gotta talk to your creator who made you, and
- 7:35Speaker 1: find out what fruit you supposed to bear, and then
- 7:38Speaker 1: in your season. It's coming, man, your season is coming.
- 7:42Speaker 1: But you got to stay planted, and you got to
- 7:45Speaker 1: realize through contacting your creator what type of fruit tree
- 7:49Speaker 1: you are, and quit looking at the other orchid trying
- 7:53Speaker 1: to get over there, and they got more fruit than you.
- 7:55Speaker 1: That's not who you are. Stop trying to be something
- 7:58Speaker 1: that you are not. With The Steve Harvey Morning Show
