- 0:10Speaker 1: Winter Insurance that I'm true. I'm a checktut with insurance. Gee.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Thanks, Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy The Show. I'm your
- 0:36Speaker 2: host Adam Todd Brown joining me as guest co host
- 0:39Speaker 2: this week, Logan Trent is here.
- 0:41Speaker 3: How's it going, man?
- 0:42Speaker 1: Not bad?
- 0:43Speaker 3: I am fantastic.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Or is it just what they want you to believe?
- 0:48Speaker 3: Right? Exactly?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Well, I'm fantastic because I have the tin foil hat
- 0:53Speaker 2: on and it's blocking all of the gamma rays. It's
- 0:56Speaker 2: also why I painted my house with lead paint.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Last week.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I contemplating grabbing some tinfoil and putting it on top
- 1:03Speaker 1: of the bear's hat as it choke, but I was
- 1:04Speaker 1: just like, no, that's too much work, not doing it.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I've toyed with the idea of doing a tin
- 1:10Speaker 2: hat thing in videos and same thing.
- 1:12Speaker 1: It's like, now, I'm surprised that there hasn't been like
- 1:16Speaker 1: somebody who just tried to do like a new era
- 1:19Speaker 1: style like tinfoil just flat brim fitted hat.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Yeah, that I would wear.
- 1:26Speaker 1: That would be fantastic. Yeah, it'd be like the before
- 1:29Speaker 1: we start with the NFL, did you see that Detroit
- 1:31Speaker 1: Lions fan who was wearing the cheese, greater hat against
- 1:35Speaker 1: the Packers fantastics.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Very fun.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I can't believe it took that long for someone to
- 1:40Speaker 1: think about that.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that's really good for people who are unaware. Logan
- 1:45Speaker 2: is my co host on a podcast called w Nbyay,
- 1:49Speaker 2: which is about women's sports. You can listen to it
- 1:54Speaker 2: literally wherever podcasts are at, so you should go do that.
- 1:57Speaker 2: And as for this week's episode, we got an election happening,
- 2:01Speaker 2: So of course we're talking about NFL conspiracies because here's
- 2:05Speaker 2: the thing. We're going to be talking about this election
- 2:08Speaker 2: at least until January, probably for decades after, because it's
- 2:13Speaker 2: going to be chaos.
- 2:15Speaker 3: So this week I don't have it in me anymore
- 2:19Speaker 3: to talk election stuff, so we're talking football instead.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Tomorrow's going to be very exhausting.
- 2:26Speaker 2: It sure is, and not just because the NFL trade
- 2:31Speaker 2: deadline is at something like four pm Eastern time.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Fantastic idea for the NFL.
- 2:38Speaker 3: Good timing is that going to distract from election news
- 2:41Speaker 3: probably the United States. They will cut into announcing states
- 2:46Speaker 3: going for one candidate or another, to tell us Cooper
- 2:49Speaker 3: Cup plays for the Washington Commanders.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Now Ohio's gone here and in other news. Miles Garrett is, OHI.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Yeah, speaking of going to Ohio.
- 3:01Speaker 1: So yeah, wells Garrett's going to Las Vegas where we
- 3:03Speaker 1: have results. Yeah, it's gonna be really great. Yeah.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I'll have to set up two TVs, I think, so
- 3:09Speaker 2: I can monitor trade deadline in the election both, just
- 3:13Speaker 2: like when there's tennis and football on at the same time.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Should make Scheffler pull double duty and just have to
- 3:20Speaker 1: go back and forth between NFL news and political stuff.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and he should have to break a bunch of
- 3:26Speaker 2: politics news too.
- 3:28Speaker 1: This is why Wojes dropped out.
- 3:31Speaker 2: So we're talking about a bunch of different NFL related conspiracies.
- 3:37Speaker 2: We were just gonna talk about this first one. But
- 3:40Speaker 2: the problem is it's so dumb. There is no way
- 3:46Speaker 2: we could make an entire episode out of the Super
- 3:49Speaker 2: Bowl logo conspiracy. This is the epitome of a coincidence.
- 3:56Speaker 2: And people who listen to this podcast know I have
- 4:00Speaker 2: feelings about coincidences and how we never accept them in
- 4:04Speaker 2: true crime, but always accept that something's a coincidence when
- 4:08Speaker 2: it comes to conspiracy stuff. So you know how I
- 4:11Speaker 2: feel about the word coincidence. This is a fucking coincidence.
- 4:16Speaker 2: There's nothing else to this.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Once you explain this theory, I'll add something in there
- 4:21Speaker 1: because there's a part of it that I love, which
- 4:24Speaker 1: is it's easily setting itself up for perpetual stupidity because
- 4:30Speaker 1: there's so many choose your adventure outcomes. So let's explain this.
- 4:35Speaker 2: The logo for super Bowl fifty nine has been released.
- 4:40Speaker 2: It is red and lime green, which of course means
- 4:44Speaker 2: the Chiefs are going to play the Seahawks in the
- 4:47Speaker 2: super Bowl this year, which, oh boy, does that seem
- 4:50Speaker 2: improbable at least one half of that. But according to
- 4:54Speaker 2: the super Bowl Logo conspiracy, the colors in the super
- 4:59Speaker 2: Bowl logo, which it comes out way, way way before
- 5:01Speaker 2: the participants are decided, the colors of the logo will
- 5:05Speaker 2: tell you what teams are going to be participating in
- 5:09Speaker 2: the Super Bowl logan.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I like that This starts with according to Aaron Rodgers,
- 5:14Speaker 1: which is, you know, just a great way to start
- 5:18Speaker 1: a very smart and intelligent, well thought out conversation. And
- 5:22Speaker 1: then it follows up with my second favorite part of
- 5:25Speaker 1: that equation, which is according to Aaron Rodgers on the
- 5:28Speaker 1: Pat McAfee show. So you know, we're just gonna be
- 5:33Speaker 1: dealing with some well thought out in reasoned positions here.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Absolutely yeah, back in January, and Aaron Rodgers didn't come
- 5:42Speaker 2: up with this theory, but of course he is the
- 5:44Speaker 2: only athlete to like legitimately push it on TV.
- 5:48Speaker 1: He did his own research.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, keep an open mind. Lee's.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Back in January, when the Jets still had a little
- 5:57Speaker 2: bit of hope left for the season because it hadn't Stopedar,
- 6:00Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers went on the Pat McAfee show and said
- 6:04Speaker 2: this quote, if the Super Bowl was Baltimore and San
- 6:07Speaker 2: fran then I tell you what, that Super Bowl fifty
- 6:11Speaker 2: nine emblem better have jet green on it.
- 6:14Speaker 3: End quote.
- 6:15Speaker 2: And Pat McAfee was like, what what the fuck you
- 6:17Speaker 2: talking about? Paraphrasing, and Rogers added, just look.
- 6:22Speaker 3: At the colors. Look at the colors.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I don't think that's the first time that Aaron Rodgers
- 6:27Speaker 1: has ever said that, look at those colors. Look at
- 6:30Speaker 1: those colors.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Like probably not.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:34Speaker 2: The reason people have started saying this, this is why
- 6:38Speaker 2: this is a coincidence. It's happened twice. There was Super
- 6:43Speaker 2: Bowl fifty six, colors were orange and yellow, and the
- 6:48Speaker 2: Bengals played the Rams, which even then tying yellow to
- 6:53Speaker 2: the Rams that's questionable, and I think that that's probably
- 6:56Speaker 2: what you're getting at with to choose your own adventure thing,
- 6:59Speaker 2: because yeah, well that could be Steelers rams Chargers some fucking.
- 7:04Speaker 1: It gets even worse when we do on the next
- 7:07Speaker 1: one too, because yeah, after that, it was green and red,
- 7:11Speaker 1: which of course meant the Chiefs were going to beat
- 7:14Speaker 1: the Eagles, which is what he was saying with like, oh,
- 7:17Speaker 1: these logos and stuff. There's a couple of problems here. One,
- 7:20Speaker 1: before that Super Bowl, there's like a six year period
- 7:23Speaker 1: where it's just a silver logo with a little bit
- 7:26Speaker 1: of maybe blue or something else because there were no
- 7:29Speaker 1: color things like that. This is a recent thing where
- 7:32Speaker 1: they started doing like color scheming on that. Secondly, there's
- 7:36Speaker 1: thirteen or fourteen teams that have red as their logo.
- 7:39Speaker 1: There's a bunch that have green as their logo, even
- 7:43Speaker 1: with the orange. The Bears have orange on their logo.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I'm pointing at it right now on my hat. So
- 7:48Speaker 1: there's that. And also, furthermore, teams have secondary and tertiary colors,
- 7:54Speaker 1: like the Bears are navy and orange, so the Chiefs
- 7:57Speaker 1: colors are red, yellow or gold and white. So because
- 8:01Speaker 1: every team again has a first primary color, a secondary color,
- 8:05Speaker 1: and a tertiary color. So you've got multiple pick and choose,
- 8:08Speaker 1: mix and match options that you have on this, which
- 8:11Speaker 1: is why this is a great dumb person's conspiracy, because
- 8:15Speaker 1: it just always leaves you something where you're like, oh, no,
- 8:18Speaker 1: well they meant this, well, then then they met this, Well,
- 8:20Speaker 1: then they met this. It's just a choose your adventure
- 8:22Speaker 1: of idiocy, which is again why it found its way
- 8:26Speaker 1: up Aaron Rodgers's I don't want to say brainstem because
- 8:29Speaker 1: that might be missing at this book.
- 8:32Speaker 3: That's probably shriveled up by now.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:35Speaker 2: And the reason Aaron Rodgers in that Pat McAfee clip
- 8:40Speaker 2: brings up the Ravens and the Niners is because the
- 8:44Speaker 2: logo for Super Bowl fifty eight was purple and red,
- 8:47Speaker 2: which are the team colors of the Ravens and Niners, respectively.
- 8:52Speaker 3: And even then Niners Minnesota red. That's a little more
- 8:56Speaker 3: of a maroon to me.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:58Speaker 3: But also that's where the problem really starts with this theory,
- 9:02Speaker 3: because the Super Bowl was not the Ravens in the
- 9:05Speaker 3: Niners last year. It's the Chiefs in the Niners.
- 9:09Speaker 2: But I think logan you know what that means It
- 9:13Speaker 2: just means the NFL realized everyone was onto their plot,
- 9:17Speaker 2: so they flipped the results to like throw people off
- 9:21Speaker 2: the scent. Obviously, that is actually a part of this conspiracy,
- 9:26Speaker 2: is that now that people are onto it, the NFL
- 9:30Speaker 2: flipped it.
- 9:31Speaker 3: So the Ravens didn't go to the Super Bowl last.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Year, love if you follow the timeline, So that means
- 9:36Speaker 1: that the NFL decided to start this conspiracy three super
- 9:40Speaker 1: bowls ago, and then just midway through that they were like, okay,
- 9:44Speaker 1: now this is too much. We gotta They're already on
- 9:46Speaker 1: to us. So that's how great they were planning this
- 9:48Speaker 1: out and they immediately pivoted that and then no one
- 9:51Speaker 1: still gives us the answer as to why they would
- 9:54Speaker 1: do this.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Right, Yeah.
- 9:55Speaker 2: That is typically how a gigantic entity with endless amounts
- 10:01Speaker 2: of money gets found out when they're up to no good.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Is there's one or two TikTok videos and they're like,
- 10:08Speaker 3: all right, Jesus, you got us, fine, Ravens aren't going
- 10:13Speaker 3: to the super Bowl. Now you're happy.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:17Speaker 2: And also that's a big question to ask with any conspiracy.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Is why why if the NFL.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Was scripted, which is what we're going to talk about next.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Why would they put clues out there that it's scripted.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Is this like a rogue graphic designer who's trying to
- 10:34Speaker 2: bring everything down from the inside, And if so, why
- 10:38Speaker 2: does he know who's going to be in the Super Bowl?
- 10:40Speaker 3: He's a fucking graphic designer.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Also, out of the Orange teams, you could have picked
- 10:45Speaker 1: the Bengals, because you know that's who's going to get
- 10:48Speaker 1: the ratings. There, not your third biggest market of Chicago,
- 10:52Speaker 1: or even Miami where you have a ton of Florida
- 10:56Speaker 1: support and a huge fan base, or even Denver, who
- 10:59Speaker 1: a bunch of people love from the Lway era. No,
- 11:01Speaker 1: it's the fucking Bengals.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Denver, statistically speaking, is the actual America's team.
- 11:08Speaker 3: So I yeah, it would be Denver something.
- 11:11Speaker 1: It's its date. We could have a Super Bowl between
- 11:14Speaker 1: Los Angeles and Chicago. Who would want to watch that?
- 11:17Speaker 1: I don't know. No, no, no, no, we gotta go Cincinnati.
- 11:20Speaker 1: We need the skyline Chili man, we gotta have those shots.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Yeah. That is such a dumb idea.
- 11:27Speaker 2: It reminds me of a conspiracy I didn't even put
- 11:30Speaker 2: on here because it's even stupider than this, which is
- 11:34Speaker 2: that the NFL rigged the two thousand and one season's
- 11:39Speaker 2: Super Bowl, which we've been played in two thousand and
- 11:41Speaker 2: two because the Patriots winning after nine to eleven was
- 11:44Speaker 2: a nice mashup of you know, patriotism and yeah, you
- 11:49Speaker 2: know what the country had gone through, and it's like, motherfucker,
- 11:51Speaker 2: they would have rigged it for a New York team
- 11:53Speaker 2: if that was gonna be the gayest.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I love that that happens because that World Series right
- 11:59Speaker 1: before that was the Yankees and the fucking Arizona Diamondbacks,
- 12:04Speaker 1: and the Diamondbacks beat the shit out of the Yankees
- 12:07Speaker 1: behind Randy Johnson in Future Galaxy. Brainer. Fuck, I'm blanking
- 12:11Speaker 1: on him, bloody sock hurt shilling. Yep, yeah, thank you.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Yeah. MLB just stood by and watched that fucking happen.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Yeah, they're like, no, we're not going to do this.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Yeah no, fuck the Yankees.
- 12:22Speaker 2: But the NFL did rig the Super Bowl for the Patriots.
- 12:26Speaker 3: That's God, that's dumb.
- 12:28Speaker 2: But that is a really common conspiracy about the NFL
- 12:34Speaker 2: these days, also, which is that it's scripted.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I think that one of the things to remember before
- 12:39Speaker 1: we go any further with these conspiracies is that a
- 12:41Speaker 1: lot of times these are brought up by some players
- 12:44Speaker 1: and most of them have CTE. Yeah, take it as
- 12:47Speaker 1: you will.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Yeah, the NFL. All you have to do is watch
- 12:51Speaker 2: that Ravens Bengals game to know that it wasn't scripted.
- 12:55Speaker 2: The Ravens were so close winning that fucking game, and
- 13:00Speaker 2: they were like a fumble away from winning that game.
- 13:04Speaker 2: And yeah, the idea that the NFL would engineer anything
- 13:08Speaker 2: for the Bengals.
- 13:09Speaker 3: No one wants to watch the fuck.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Again the Bengals.
- 13:12Speaker 2: But that was when the logo thing turned out not
- 13:16Speaker 2: to be true. That's what was next. People were like, oh, well,
- 13:20Speaker 2: the NFL scripted that AFC Championship game, So then people
- 13:24Speaker 2: weren't on their tail anymore. This is a quote from
- 13:29Speaker 2: one of the millions of Twitter users out there. Those
- 13:33Speaker 2: games are purely entertainment, and the NFL gets every matchup
- 13:37Speaker 2: they want. Players don't have a choice. They're athletic actors
- 13:41Speaker 2: making millions keeping secrets.
- 13:43Speaker 3: End quote.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Okay, so here it goes to another level of just
- 13:47Speaker 1: how stupid this is. I'm going to go to pro wrestling.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Pro wrestling is predetermined outcomes between two people, and maybe
- 13:54Speaker 1: it involves a producer and like a booker and something
- 13:57Speaker 1: like that. Even that gets leaked out and you find
- 14:00Speaker 1: shit all over the internet by so called journalists who
- 14:03Speaker 1: are usually just dudes, are hanging out by fucking merch
- 14:05Speaker 1: tables next to a fucking garbage can filled with stale
- 14:09Speaker 1: nachos and beer cans. So the idea that like two
- 14:14Speaker 1: fifty three man rosters each week are getting scripts that
- 14:18Speaker 1: they have to execute with coaches, and not one person
- 14:22Speaker 1: considering that we have the Antonio Browns of the world,
- 14:25Speaker 1: are like, oh, yeah, no, no, they told me to
- 14:28Speaker 1: do that.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Shit Like, yeah, I've seen players reference it and they've
- 14:32Speaker 2: always been joking. I saw a guy tweet about how
- 14:35Speaker 2: he gave up two touchdowns.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Yeah it was the script.
- 14:39Speaker 1: What was the script part where Henry Ruggins killed a
- 14:42Speaker 1: woman doing a duhi and derailed the fucking Raiders season
- 14:47Speaker 1: by that it is now in jail? Yeah, is that
- 14:50Speaker 1: part of the script.
- 14:51Speaker 3: Who wrote that Damar Hamlin storyline?
- 14:54Speaker 1: I would have loved to see Ricky Pearsoll's face when
- 14:57Speaker 1: he's like, oh, yeah, you're gonna get shot what Yeah, no, no, no,
- 15:01Speaker 1: it's cool, You'll be fine that they won't hit Organs.
- 15:05Speaker 1: But I still have to get shot.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I saw a tweet a couple of weeks ago that
- 15:08Speaker 2: just said the forty nine ers healthiest wide receiver was
- 15:11Speaker 2: shot in the chest.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Two months ago.
- 15:14Speaker 4: And that's accurate, very accurate. Yeah, which that's is that
- 15:19Speaker 4: part of the script because here's the thing. Of all
- 15:22Speaker 4: the sports to script, I feel like the NFL would
- 15:27Speaker 4: be the absolute most difficult.
- 15:30Speaker 3: There's so much happening. It's hard for players to remember
- 15:34Speaker 3: what's going on without a goddamn script.
- 15:36Speaker 1: I feel like somebody, because you're a writer, I'm a writer,
- 15:41Speaker 1: we understand that there's processes that go with this where
- 15:45Speaker 1: you do something and then someone's like, hey, can I
- 15:47Speaker 1: read that? Okay, here's some notes, maybe adjust this, and
- 15:50Speaker 1: then you're like, okay, fine, I want to see what
- 15:53Speaker 1: notes led to the Deshaun Watson story arc that we
- 15:57Speaker 1: had the past two years because Jesus Christ, and.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Yeah, is it off the field stuff? Is that being
- 16:04Speaker 2: scripted too? Or is it just the games? And also
- 16:08Speaker 2: think about south Park. South Park has to cut a
- 16:12Speaker 2: lot of corners to turn those episodes around as fast
- 16:16Speaker 2: as they do. And granted it's a small writer's room,
- 16:20Speaker 2: so it makes sense that they'd have to put some
- 16:22Speaker 2: limitations on themselves. We're talking about a league where there's
- 16:26Speaker 2: what fifteen to eighteen games a week, and you're telling
- 16:30Speaker 2: me they're scripting every one of those fucking games out
- 16:34Speaker 2: every week, even if they're doing it in the off season.
- 16:37Speaker 2: That is such an intense amount of writing. And we
- 16:42Speaker 2: don't know a single writer. This conspiracy would have you
- 16:45Speaker 2: believe one dude writes all the scripts.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Yeah, what what?
- 16:49Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 16:51Speaker 1: The Game of thron skies mailed in the last season
- 16:54Speaker 1: because they couldn't copy off the books anymore. And we're like, oh,
- 16:58Speaker 1: we'll go. HBO offered millions of dollars to like, no,
- 17:01Speaker 1: we can do more episodes. They're like, no, no, we're done.
- 17:03Speaker 1: So you're expecting one fucking dude in front of his
- 17:07Speaker 1: keyboard just writing out every single storyline for all of
- 17:10Speaker 1: these and then remembering, oh shit, I haven't used the
- 17:14Speaker 1: third tight end from Jacksonville. Let's have him get a touchdown.
- 17:18Speaker 1: You haven't thought about that this year?
- 17:20Speaker 3: Like yeah, it's not like how would you account for
- 17:23Speaker 3: injuries all of that?
- 17:25Speaker 1: It makes how do you account for like, let like,
- 17:27Speaker 1: how do you account for the shitty hail Mary that
- 17:29Speaker 1: ruined our Bears game last week, Like.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Oh, that's not sugarcoated. It probably ruined our season, but yeah,
- 17:37Speaker 2: the game definitely, Yeah, you can't. I mean, granted, that
- 17:41Speaker 2: would be a very funny storyline Tyreek Stevenson waving to
- 17:45Speaker 2: the crowd as the play starts and then being the
- 17:49Speaker 2: one to deflect the ball to the receiver who caught
- 17:52Speaker 2: it in the end zone. You can't make that up.
- 17:54Speaker 2: No one would believe it.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Especially. The reason I thought that that hail Mary was
- 17:58Speaker 1: going to succeed was because I was jokingly like, they
- 18:01Speaker 1: showed the Caleb one earlier, So poetic justice is just
- 18:04Speaker 1: us losing out of hail Mary. I didn't just say
- 18:07Speaker 1: she scripted, Like no, that's just how life works. Sometimes
- 18:10Speaker 1: weird shit happens like that.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Broadly, Yeah, yeah, And what would be scripted about that
- 18:16Speaker 2: they want? I don't think the NFL gives if anything,
- 18:19Speaker 2: the NFL is gonna want that Chicago market to succeed
- 18:22Speaker 2: more because it's a way bigger market. So if they
- 18:25Speaker 2: were gonna script anything, they would script it in the
- 18:27Speaker 2: Bear's favor in that situation.
- 18:30Speaker 3: But also, they don't script the fucking games.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Now. The examples that they use here are fucking incredible.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Yeah, there's one where it's a TikTok video and it's
- 18:41Speaker 2: just video of the Bills missing a field goal and
- 18:45Speaker 2: this guy is like, wind wasn't a factor that day,
- 18:48Speaker 2: so nothing should have altered that kick except magnetics, and
- 18:53Speaker 2: it's like, oh, we sure are on TikTok because you're
- 18:56Speaker 2: not gonna give me even a bit of evidence the
- 18:59Speaker 2: back end.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Do you know how hard it is to kick a
- 19:02Speaker 1: fucking football through it up right that far, just even
- 19:06Speaker 1: in good conditions. There's a reason that they're paid millions
- 19:09Speaker 1: of dollars to do that. It's an objectively hard thing
- 19:12Speaker 1: to do.
- 19:13Speaker 2: And also there is a very similar sort of scandal
- 19:19Speaker 2: unfolding in the Canadian Football League where because everyone needs
- 19:23Speaker 2: advanced stats and metrics so bad, they've started putting sensors
- 19:27Speaker 2: inside the kicking balls get like speed off the foot
- 19:32Speaker 2: in shit that no one cares about except people who
- 19:35Speaker 2: gamble on sports.
- 19:36Speaker 3: And immediately the kickers were like, this sucks. We can
- 19:39Speaker 3: feel it.
- 19:40Speaker 2: We can feel this thing in here, and that's why
- 19:41Speaker 2: we're missing more kicks this season than usual.
- 19:44Speaker 3: If you put a.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Big ass fucking magnet inside a football, every kicker is
- 19:49Speaker 2: gonna be like, pause, what's going on? Why is this
- 19:52Speaker 2: thing five pounds heavier than it needs to be.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I love that there's always some like basic science thing
- 19:59Speaker 1: that just gets mystified in these stupid things. It's always,
- 20:02Speaker 1: oh yeah, magnets, that's not how magnets work, broke, Oh yeah, lasers.
- 20:07Speaker 1: How could lasers change someone's face to look like another human? Man?
- 20:11Speaker 1: You know, that's just what lasers do. You know, Like
- 20:15Speaker 1: it's a lot of comic book logic, but in the
- 20:17Speaker 1: dumbest way possible.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I tell you one that I do kind of believe
- 20:23Speaker 2: is that the Bill's famous wide right kick. I think
- 20:28Speaker 2: it was their first or second Super Bowl of the
- 20:31Speaker 2: four in a row that they lost, was impacted because
- 20:35Speaker 2: there was a helicopter hovering over the goalposts at the time.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Because it was right after the Gulf War start and
- 20:42Speaker 2: we acted like Iraq was gonna come attack the fucking
- 20:46Speaker 2: super Bowl, they.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Took precautions in that Hulk Hogan WrestleMania match to make
- 20:50Speaker 1: sure he wasn't gone down. I remember that. Oh my god, I.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Want to fucking show that war was Jesus.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it was fun for me too, being Rocky.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Bet I bet probably lots of good memories of that.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Oh call four trading cards. Can I tell you that
- 21:06Speaker 1: I went to school next to a Navy base?
- 21:09Speaker 3: Fine? One of the articles we'll linked to.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I love this detail because people are out there willing
- 21:15Speaker 2: to believe that NFL games are scripted. There are also
- 21:19Speaker 2: people out there willing to separate those believers from their
- 21:23Speaker 2: money based on this. And here's the thing. This is
- 21:26Speaker 2: the kind of grifting that I don't care about that.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no, you're putting in work on this one,
- 21:32Speaker 1: so it's like, okay, I respect the hustle you're trying. Yeah.
- 21:35Speaker 2: So what's going on is there's a site called spreadseer
- 21:40Speaker 2: and that's obviously not the URL.
- 21:42Speaker 3: You'll have to google it if you care that much.
- 21:44Speaker 2: And for the lo low price of fifty dollars a
- 21:47Speaker 2: month five zero ten dollars times five per month, they
- 21:51Speaker 2: will help you better place bets on football because they
- 21:56Speaker 2: have access to the scripts.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Here's a quote from their website. We believe that behind
- 22:01Speaker 3: every game there's a hidden script waiting to be deciphered.
- 22:05Speaker 3: If you've ever felt like there's more to sports than
- 22:09Speaker 3: meets the eye, you're not alone. Get ready to elevate
- 22:13Speaker 3: your game and make strategic bets based on these scripted games.
- 22:18Speaker 3: End quote.
- 22:19Speaker 2: If you're dumb enough to give these motherfuckers fifty dollars
- 22:22Speaker 2: a month, good for them for getting that fifty dollars
- 22:25Speaker 2: from you.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Oh, there's a lot of gambling shit that I hate
- 22:28Speaker 1: about it's involved with sports. But this stuff is funny
- 22:30Speaker 1: as well. There's this Twitter account that does Zodiac GM
- 22:34Speaker 1: where they just do all the zodiac symbols for different
- 22:37Speaker 1: teams and tries to align the auras of whether they'll
- 22:39Speaker 1: win or not. It's just a very entertaining feed. But like, yeah,
- 22:43Speaker 1: if you're giving money to them, you're just dumb. It's
- 22:47Speaker 1: as dumb as gambling on sports.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Yeah, And I at least hope you're dumb with enough
- 22:53Speaker 2: money that you can afford that, yeah, as opposed to
- 22:56Speaker 2: just being dumb and desperate enough that you think you've
- 23:00Speaker 2: on the key to unlocking the NFL scripts.
- 23:03Speaker 1: And this is coming from someone who made most of
- 23:05Speaker 1: their high school money gambling on sports. So it's just
- 23:10Speaker 1: sports gambling has gotten so stupid. I did I think
- 23:13Speaker 1: I set you that tweet with KD yelling at the
- 23:15Speaker 1: gambling I don't give a shit about your fucking whatever,
- 23:19Speaker 1: just yeah the best.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Yeah, So yeah, I did see that NBA has asked
- 23:26Speaker 2: I believe most states to not allow prop bets on
- 23:31Speaker 2: two way players who are going back and forth between
- 23:34Speaker 2: the G League. And it's like, that makes a whole
- 23:37Speaker 2: lot of sense, because here's the thing people probably don't
- 23:40Speaker 2: know about sports gambling. Tennis is one of the most
- 23:44Speaker 2: gambled on sports in the world.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Oh that sounds about right.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's also incredibly easy to fix. And the
- 23:54Speaker 2: level they do it at isn't like the big matches.
- 23:57Speaker 2: It's not fucking Carlos Alcarez Row in the US Open.
- 24:01Speaker 2: It's all these they call them challenger tournaments, which are
- 24:05Speaker 2: like the minor leagues of tennis essentially, and those players
- 24:09Speaker 2: are not making that much money. So and as far
- 24:13Speaker 2: as sports that it would be easy to like, oh
- 24:15Speaker 2: you missed that shot?
- 24:16Speaker 3: That why did you miss that shot?
- 24:18Speaker 2: Because tennis players miss a lot of fucking shots, and
- 24:21Speaker 2: it's not unusual at all for even the really great
- 24:24Speaker 2: players to lose like six games in a row in
- 24:27Speaker 2: the middle of the match. So it makes sense that
- 24:31Speaker 2: dat's who would get targeted. Djokovic even said he at
- 24:35Speaker 2: the challenger level was approached by a gambler.
- 24:37Speaker 1: It's also a lot easier to fix a thing when
- 24:40Speaker 1: you're the only fucking athlete. Yeah, you don't have fifty
- 24:44Speaker 1: two other teammates that you have to figure out how
- 24:47Speaker 1: to do this with in order to get this thing going. Also,
- 24:51Speaker 1: apparently you have a fucking on staff magnet guy, which
- 24:55Speaker 1: I don't even know how much that dude's getting paid, Like, oh, yeah,
- 24:59Speaker 1: you know, the Bears have hired a new head of
- 25:01Speaker 1: magnets this season. We'll see how that goes.
- 25:04Speaker 2: And with stuff like this, I don't always buy the
- 25:07Speaker 2: idea that, oh, someone would come out and talk, someone
- 25:11Speaker 2: would say something like it depends on how many people
- 25:14Speaker 2: would be involved.
- 25:15Speaker 3: This would involve so many people.
- 25:18Speaker 1: It involved everybody.
- 25:20Speaker 2: And also, are you telling me this is scripted? But
- 25:23Speaker 2: college football isn't. So at some point, there's like that
- 25:28Speaker 2: thing that must happen with every president where they sit
- 25:30Speaker 2: them down and are like, all right.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Look through this book.
- 25:33Speaker 2: This is the shit you tell anyone you die, will
- 25:36Speaker 2: kill you if you tell anyone. This is that happening
- 25:39Speaker 2: with every NFL player, and not a single one in
- 25:43Speaker 2: history after their career was over, was like, hey, guess
- 25:47Speaker 2: what NFL scripted? None, No, disgruntled again Antonio Brown. No,
- 25:52Speaker 2: if Antonio Brown doesn't think the NFL scripted, it's not.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I'll give you just even a crazier example from Antonio Brown,
- 26:01Speaker 1: and it's one that OJ. You think OJ wouldn't have
- 26:05Speaker 1: fucking shared that shit? Fucking OJ, He's gonna keep tight
- 26:09Speaker 1: lipped on that motherfucker wrote a book If I did
- 26:13Speaker 1: it about a double homicide and he tried to sell that,
- 26:17Speaker 1: You think he's not gonna fucking spoil, Like, oh, yeah, no,
- 26:20Speaker 1: they asked me to do this in nineteen seventy three. No, absolutely, so.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Many players, so many disgruntled former players, players who like
- 26:29Speaker 2: never won a super Bowl. Would be like, I'll tell
- 26:31Speaker 2: you why I didn't want a super Bowl.
- 26:33Speaker 1: What's the number of players that get a second contract
- 26:36Speaker 1: in the NFL? Like you're telling me that some undrafted
- 26:39Speaker 1: running back from fucking Central Illinois is not going to
- 26:42Speaker 1: be dropping dimes just to fucking get a job.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Like, come on, can you imagine being Cody Parky reading
- 26:49Speaker 2: that script before the game? You have to hit the
- 26:51Speaker 2: uprights four times in a row.
- 26:54Speaker 3: That's so hard to do.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Once, I will say, whoever did the Magnets on that one.
- 26:58Speaker 1: They deserve to raise because double joinking that. That's another
- 27:02Speaker 1: example of me calling out something because as soon as
- 27:04Speaker 1: he hit that first one and I saw they called
- 27:06Speaker 1: a time out, Like, oh, he's joinking this, we're losing.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I immediately accepted that fact before he kicked that field goal. Again,
- 27:12Speaker 1: not scripted, you can just tell sometimes yeah.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Yeah. The only time I've had that feeling in reverse
- 27:18Speaker 3: about Chicago sports is Game seven of the twenty sixteen
- 27:22Speaker 3: World Series. When that rain delay happened. I was like, Oh,
- 27:25Speaker 3: the Cubs are gonna win.
- 27:26Speaker 1: That's the exact same thing that happened there. I was like,
- 27:29Speaker 1: wait raindlay. Oh yeah, I was.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Like, wait to raindelay. But it's good for us. Yeah,
- 27:35Speaker 3: this is different. This feels different.
- 27:37Speaker 1: So did Alex Smith get told when they pitched it
- 27:42Speaker 1: to him that he would have a fucking infection in
- 27:45Speaker 1: his broken leg that would almost kill him? Or was
- 27:48Speaker 1: that like in second round writings when he was already
- 27:51Speaker 1: undergoing surgery.
- 27:52Speaker 3: I would freak out just reading the broken leg part.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Oh man Romeo Cournell's face when he was the coach
- 27:59Speaker 1: of the Chiefs and that one player showed up to
- 28:02Speaker 1: the practice thing and then blew his brains out in
- 28:04Speaker 1: the fucking parking lot while he begged him not to
- 28:07Speaker 1: shoot himself. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was a tense
- 28:10Speaker 1: time during the plotting sectionon for that.
- 28:12Speaker 3: It was a very special episode of the NFL.
- 28:16Speaker 2: H Yeah, yeah, Dak Prescott breaking that ankle about that
- 28:20Speaker 2: one in the script?
- 28:22Speaker 3: Holy shit?
- 28:24Speaker 2: But I think we can agree that this next thing
- 28:26Speaker 2: obviously scripted. Oh yeah, let's talk about the Travis Kelcey
- 28:31Speaker 2: Taylor Swift breakup contract. I want this to be true
- 28:36Speaker 2: because it would be funny in about a thousand different ways.
- 28:42Speaker 2: But back in September, a document started circulating online that
- 28:47Speaker 2: was alleged to be a contract regarding Travis Kelcey's relationship
- 28:52Speaker 2: with Taylor Swift.
- 28:54Speaker 3: It was called.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Comprehensive Media Plan for Travis Kelcey's relations following break up
- 29:00Speaker 2: with Taylor Swift.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Because you know, that's what you always do with your documents.
- 29:04Speaker 1: You put the entire summary as the title of the
- 29:07Speaker 1: whole thing and make it ten words long.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Yeah, and you want to leave a paper trail if
- 29:12Speaker 2: you're trying to pull off Shenanigan's left.
- 29:16Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, that's how we found out the
- 29:17Speaker 1: truth about JFK was the assassination attempt about JFK by
- 29:22Speaker 1: the CIA and by Cuba and by Ronald McDonald and
- 29:26Speaker 1: by Ted Cruise's dad, whose name I don't remember right now.
- 29:30Speaker 1: So yeah, it was just a very clearly laid out
- 29:32Speaker 1: plan in the title.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, that's how it always works. Yeah, you put
- 29:36Speaker 2: your logo on it. You're definitely gonna want to put
- 29:38Speaker 2: your logo on it, like this company did, and all
- 29:42Speaker 2: things that are true and credible. This was uploaded to
- 29:45Speaker 2: Reddit by an anonymous user, which that right there, there's
- 29:50Speaker 2: some media outlet in this country that would have taken
- 29:53Speaker 2: this fucking story. Yeah, there's no way this would just
- 29:56Speaker 2: end up on Reddit, so there's that part. Misuser page
- 30:01Speaker 2: was immediately deleted after the document started going viral. Nothing
- 30:05Speaker 2: suspicious about that. And yeah, the PR agency in question
- 30:10Speaker 2: issued a statement, it's a full scope PR These documents
- 30:14Speaker 2: are entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued,
- 30:17Speaker 2: or authorized by this agency end quote. It would be
- 30:21Speaker 2: funny if this is real, but there would be no
- 30:24Speaker 2: reason for this. This would be really risky for one thing,
- 30:28Speaker 2: because what if the two of them, you know, connected
- 30:31Speaker 2: during this and didn't want to break up. Then you
- 30:33Speaker 2: got to kill one of them, right, I know how
- 30:35Speaker 2: movies work.
- 30:35Speaker 1: So on Reddit, this was presented by an NFL person.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Correct, I don't think it was like an NFL player.
- 30:43Speaker 1: No, I'm saying like the person was like an NFL
- 30:45Speaker 1: fan or it was on like an NFL section of Reddit.
- 30:48Speaker 1: This is a clear example of someone not knowing who
- 30:52Speaker 1: they're fucking with because they're dumb. What at earth would
- 30:55Speaker 1: Taylor Swift ask a boyfriend decide any of this shit?
- 30:58Speaker 1: She would get another album out of a fucking whole
- 31:01Speaker 1: relationship with Travis kelce This is her bread and butter.
- 31:05Speaker 1: If anything, she'd be like, I want you to be
- 31:07Speaker 1: the dumbest, hottest mess if I dump your ass because
- 31:11Speaker 1: I will make bank off of this. No, you think
- 31:14Speaker 1: that she gives a shit. If Travis Kelcey starts crying
- 31:17Speaker 1: on Instagram because he broke up with Taylor Swift and
- 31:20Speaker 1: like an No, that's a fucking platinum record right there.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Taylor knows Taylor's business. This is just dumb NFL fans. Again,
- 31:27Speaker 1: you have no idea who you're dealing with.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Yeah, and I've seen the Taylor Swift scooter Braun documentary.
- 31:35Speaker 2: I don't put a high level of planning past Taylor Swifts,
- 31:39Speaker 2: but again, to what end?
- 31:42Speaker 3: I think the theory was that they were trying to
- 31:44Speaker 3: influence the election?
- 31:46Speaker 1: Oh there we go?
- 31:47Speaker 3: Yeah, what the fuck are you talking about?
- 31:50Speaker 1: What's the anonymous reddit poster and a Rogers on reddit
- 31:54Speaker 1: because that seems like something that would be here.
- 31:57Speaker 2: And even the idea that oh it's just he are
- 32:00Speaker 2: which one of them needs more attention because Travis Kelcey
- 32:04Speaker 2: was also getting a shit ton of attention well before this.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Yeah, like he was already. Travis kelce doesn't have the
- 32:11Speaker 1: pull to be bringing in I need Taylor to do
- 32:14Speaker 1: this for me, Like, fuck you, little boy?
- 32:18Speaker 3: Yeah, why'm the fuck would Taylor Swift agree to? This
- 32:22Speaker 3: makes no sense.
- 32:24Speaker 1: It's like all those times when you saw again, like
- 32:27Speaker 1: because NFL fans don't understand the level of fame for
- 32:30Speaker 1: like other people, Like all those times that people were
- 32:33Speaker 1: talking about, Oh well, Giselle is gonna be upset that
- 32:37Speaker 1: she's divorcing Tom Brady. It's like Gizelle could buy and
- 32:40Speaker 1: sell Tom Brady's ass five times over eighty eight. She
- 32:45Speaker 1: makes so much more money than he does. Yeah, Sae she.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Makes so much more money, She is so much more famous.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Yet Tom Brady in the big scheme of things, tom
- 32:57Speaker 2: Brady's not fucking close to being his fans, is Giselle Bunchin?
- 33:01Speaker 1: Yeah, so like the idea that, like Travis Kelcey would
- 33:04Speaker 1: be like, hey, Taylor, we need to do this for
- 33:06Speaker 1: pr reasons and Taylor would be like, who the fuck
- 33:09Speaker 1: are you?
- 33:12Speaker 2: And yeah, like what would be her aim in this especially?
- 33:17Speaker 2: It makes no sense she has to pal around with
- 33:20Speaker 2: a bunch of Trump supporters, doubt that switch.
- 33:22Speaker 1: What does she gain? It's Travis kelce He's not bringing
- 33:25Speaker 1: a lot to the table.
- 33:26Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Yeah, she signed a contract to alienate a bunch of
- 33:30Speaker 2: her fans.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Yeah, sure, that's and you have to make sure that
- 33:34Speaker 1: your fans start to learn three and outs and all
- 33:36Speaker 1: of this stuff. Because Swifties have definitely been learning about football,
- 33:39Speaker 1: which has been amazing. I love watching them on Twitter
- 33:42Speaker 1: with that because a lot of their takes are well
- 33:45Speaker 1: more reasoned than several NFL peoples, because again they're not crazy,
- 33:51Speaker 1: well not crazy and specific sports.
- 33:53Speaker 2: But yeah, sidebar, did you see the Jason kelce cell
- 33:57Speaker 2: phone video?
- 33:57Speaker 1: Yeah, And I'm just gonna say what pretty much every
- 34:01Speaker 1: like former player and a lot of other people have said,
- 34:03Speaker 1: just motherfucker's getting too comfortable to just say shit out
- 34:07Speaker 1: loud that they think that they can get away with that.
- 34:09Speaker 1: They right online, what do you think was gonna happen?
- 34:12Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 34:13Speaker 2: I feel like not enough people have seen the second
- 34:16Speaker 2: part of that video because it what happened in that
- 34:20Speaker 2: instance reminds me a lot of when nine to eleven happened,
- 34:24Speaker 2: and there was all this like goodwill toward the United
- 34:27Speaker 2: States and then we just fucked it up by invading.
- 34:30Speaker 3: The wrong countries.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Jason Kelcey immediately after walking away with that kid's phone,
- 34:35Speaker 2: the kid walks up to him to get his phone back,
- 34:38Speaker 2: and Jason.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Kelsey says, you're the f slur.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:41Speaker 3: So Jason Kelsey turns round and like when I first
- 34:45Speaker 3: saw that video, I was like, fuck yeah, And then
- 34:48Speaker 3: I saw that second part and was like, oh, fuck
- 34:50Speaker 3: you too, damn it. Yeah, no, nah no, it's just
- 34:54Speaker 3: Usso I'm not surprised to hear Jason Kelcey used that word.
- 34:59Speaker 3: He a fucking professional football player, he's super fucking white,
- 35:04Speaker 3: he's from Ohio.
- 35:05Speaker 1: He didn't play in the w NBA let's put it
- 35:07Speaker 1: like that. Yeah. Also, I love that the insult is
- 35:11Speaker 1: your brother's an F for slur for dating Taylor Swift. Yeah,
- 35:18Speaker 1: gay to have a girlfriend. Well, I mean in some
- 35:21Speaker 1: cases yes, if you're also a woman, then yes, that
- 35:24Speaker 1: would absolutely be gay. That's literally like what a lesbian
- 35:27Speaker 1: is definition.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Yeah, yea yeah, yeah yeah no, but yeah in this case, yeah,
- 35:32Speaker 3: what a weird You just wanted to call him that
- 35:35Speaker 3: word and couldn't think of a good reason too.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Yeah. No, it reminds me of like I forgot one
- 35:43Speaker 1: time when I was a little kid, I called my
- 35:45Speaker 1: uncle and my dad both idiots because they were arguing,
- 35:50Speaker 1: and one of them called the other a motherfucker, And
- 35:53Speaker 1: I'm like, are you stupid? That's both my grandma and
- 35:56Speaker 1: they're just paused and they're like, yeah they realized what
- 36:00Speaker 1: they just said. It's so dumb. Fun times with that.
- 36:04Speaker 1: But yeah, no, I did not actually see the second
- 36:07Speaker 1: part where he dropped that F slur, but again not
- 36:10Speaker 1: surprised if you were to tell me that he had,
- 36:12Speaker 1: so yeah, see if they talk about that on the podcast. Also,
- 36:18Speaker 1: I feel if Taylor Swift had any type of contractual
- 36:22Speaker 1: stuff in there, I think there would be a section
- 36:24Speaker 1: of your brother can't drop homophobic slurs. I have a
- 36:28Speaker 1: fan base to do this.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Next one, I can slip an extra Taylor Swift conspiracy
- 36:34Speaker 2: in here. I don't know if I've run this past you.
- 36:36Speaker 2: I know I've said it on a few podcasts, but
- 36:38Speaker 2: I've never done a full episode. This next story is
- 36:42Speaker 2: about Jimmy Hoffa. Oh yeah, Taylor Hoffa former his niece.
- 36:45Speaker 3: Head what I was just joking.
- 36:47Speaker 1: I was saying, Taylor Haffa is his niece since she
- 36:50Speaker 1: canted it to Swift.
- 36:51Speaker 2: You know, I have a unprovable theory. I'd probably have
- 36:55Speaker 2: to like freedom of information after quest some shit. But
- 36:59Speaker 2: I have a feeling in my gut that when Taylor
- 37:03Speaker 2: Swift gave those huge bonus checks to all of her
- 37:06Speaker 2: truck drivers, I think the teamsters might have kind of
- 37:09Speaker 2: strong armed her into doing that, because what was happening
- 37:13Speaker 2: in LA at that time was a hotel workers strike
- 37:17Speaker 2: yea and the teamsters. Well, for one thing, the hotel
- 37:21Speaker 2: workers called on Taylor Swift to cancel her shows out
- 37:25Speaker 2: of solidarity, and she like didn't even reply. The teamsters, meanwhile,
- 37:30Speaker 2: were refusing to cross picket lines in LA to make
- 37:34Speaker 2: deliveries where workers were striking. Is it that improbable that
- 37:39Speaker 2: someone from the Teamsters could have gone to Taylor Swift
- 37:42Speaker 2: and been like, Oh, you don't want to stand.
- 37:44Speaker 3: With hotel workers, but we might.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Now, how do you get all your shit to LA
- 37:49Speaker 2: for these five shows on the Era's tour. It would
- 37:51Speaker 2: absolutely be worth her fucking time, money, everything to be like,
- 37:57Speaker 2: you're right, how's two hunt because two hundred and fifty
- 38:01Speaker 2: thousand dollars per driver that is howbody drivers.
- 38:05Speaker 3: It was like ten to twelve.
- 38:07Speaker 1: I think that's nothing for her.
- 38:09Speaker 3: I know it's nothing for her, but when like it
- 38:13Speaker 3: is weird fucking timing.
- 38:15Speaker 1: No, no, I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm just saying,
- 38:17Speaker 1: if you present, if the Teamsters went up to her
- 38:20Speaker 1: and presented that option of do you want your shit
- 38:22Speaker 1: where it needs to be? Give us that, she'd be like, oh, yeah, no,
- 38:25Speaker 1: the math works out. Just yeah, fucking paym I don't
- 38:27Speaker 1: give it. Like that's one of those things that I
- 38:29Speaker 1: don't even think would get to Taylor. I think, just
- 38:32Speaker 1: like somebody in her logistics thing would be like, this
- 38:35Speaker 1: isn't even worth her fucking time. Just fucking give him
- 38:38Speaker 1: the two mill or whatever. It's like, yeah, yeah, we'll
- 38:41Speaker 1: make that back in revenue from just sales for like
- 38:44Speaker 1: T shirts that week. It's just sometimes there's shit that's
- 38:48Speaker 1: gonna get to the boss's table, and that one just
- 38:50Speaker 1: feels like something where they'd just be like, what's it
- 38:52Speaker 1: gonna take to get this done? This done?
- 38:55Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I kind of hope that's what happened.
- 38:58Speaker 1: It'd be but yeah, no, that doesn't seem too crazy.
- 39:00Speaker 1: That seems completely like logical, especially dealing with like logistics
- 39:05Speaker 1: like that with teamsters and just shipping and stuff like that.
- 39:08Speaker 2: So yeah, but now let's talk about the actual story,
- 39:12Speaker 2: which is it's about Jimmy Hoffa. So I know a
- 39:15Speaker 2: lot of people out there, if you're even a little
- 39:18Speaker 2: bit in the know when it comes to the NFL
- 39:20Speaker 2: and Jimmy Hoffa both, I know what you're thinking, Oh,
- 39:22Speaker 2: we're going to talk about the theory that he's buried
- 39:25Speaker 2: under the meadowlands where the Giants and the Jets.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Play No no, no, no no.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Might have been at some point, and we did just
- 39:34Speaker 2: talk about it. So there's that. But against all odds,
- 39:37Speaker 2: there is another NFL stadium that people think Jimmy Hoffa
- 39:42Speaker 2: might be buried under And when I say that, I
- 39:44Speaker 2: mean former NFL stadium, Milwaukee County Stadium where the Green
- 39:49Speaker 2: Bay Packers I think played one game a season for
- 39:53Speaker 2: a long time.
- 39:54Speaker 3: I think it was only one, might have been two games.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Yeah, So the city.
- 39:57Speaker 2: Folk could get in on the fun. And an outfit
- 40:01Speaker 2: called the case Breakers, who are early Yeah, a group
- 40:06Speaker 2: of Internet sleuths who look into cold cases. They think
- 40:11Speaker 2: Jimmy Hoffa might be buried where Milwaukee County Stadium used
- 40:15Speaker 2: to be.
- 40:15Speaker 3: It's not there anymore.
- 40:17Speaker 2: They believe his remains were moved to Milwaukee County Stadium
- 40:21Speaker 2: in nineteen ninety five. And the thing they're basing this
- 40:25Speaker 2: on is interesting. There is a sergeant, Harold Walters, who
- 40:30Speaker 2: worked in the area and he gave a playing card
- 40:36Speaker 2: to his niece a year before he died in nineteen
- 40:39Speaker 2: ninety six. It is an as of Spades card, and
- 40:44Speaker 2: he gave it to her and said, if something happens
- 40:46Speaker 2: to me, you'll know what to do.
- 40:47Speaker 1: Well.
- 40:47Speaker 2: This card, as it turns out, has Jimmy Hoffa's name
- 40:52Speaker 2: written on it. A Chicago mafia don named joey Ayupa's
- 40:56Speaker 2: name is written on it and the words third base
- 41:00Speaker 2: Milwaukee County Stadium is written on it. And what the
- 41:04Speaker 2: case breakers think is this is him confessing to knowing
- 41:08Speaker 2: where Jimmy Hoffa's body is buried.
- 41:11Speaker 1: You know it's gonna be good when you have what
- 41:13Speaker 1: the case breakers think up there with on the Pat
- 41:17Speaker 1: McAfee show. Yeah, so there's more to this, but I
- 41:22Speaker 1: have to So the theory is that they did they
- 41:26Speaker 1: always bury it there or did they move it to there?
- 41:28Speaker 3: Then it was moved there in nineteen ninety five.
- 41:32Speaker 1: I love the idea that they had the option of
- 41:35Speaker 1: moving a body and instead of just hey, this would
- 41:38Speaker 1: be a good time just to throw it in a
- 41:40Speaker 1: lake or something and just finally get rid of this evidence,
- 41:43Speaker 1: or burn it so no one sees it, or bury
- 41:46Speaker 1: it somewhere no one will ever find it. Let's go
- 41:48Speaker 1: to another stadium, because we want to honor what the
- 41:51Speaker 1: original mobsters would have thought. You gotta keep it. It's
- 41:55Speaker 1: like when you do a remake of a movie. You
- 41:57Speaker 1: don't throw everything out. You keep some of the stuff
- 42:00Speaker 1: so that people are familiar with it. Yeah.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Well, I'm going to tell you something else that I
- 42:04Speaker 3: think might change your mind. Logan.
- 42:05Speaker 2: They brought a dog named Moxie to the site, and
- 42:09Speaker 2: Moxie barked and nosed at four locations near where a
- 42:13Speaker 2: third base would have been at the old stadium. But
- 42:15Speaker 2: I also read a thing where they were like, also,
- 42:18Speaker 2: home plate isn't where it says it is there?
- 42:21Speaker 3: And isn't it or does say in that part make
- 42:24Speaker 3: your third base theory work better?
- 42:26Speaker 1: Moxi's ah, so they brought a snitch dog in the
- 42:32Speaker 1: snitch dog found this baseline. Yeah, so okay, all right, yeah,
- 42:37Speaker 1: so we're you know, this kind of just takes away
- 42:40Speaker 1: everything because obviously this is true. Now, dogs have never
- 42:43Speaker 1: been known to find weird shit, which is why their
- 42:46Speaker 1: testimony is just one hundred accurate in court.
- 42:49Speaker 2: The other thing that is really problematic about this claim
- 42:54Speaker 2: there is a fourth thing written on the card, which
- 42:57Speaker 2: is the date that this is alleged to have happened,
- 43:00Speaker 2: nine sixteen ninety five, which, as a baseball fan logan,
- 43:05Speaker 2: you will note part of the baseball.
- 43:07Speaker 3: Season yep, last still happening. This is also where the
- 43:12Speaker 3: Milwaukee Brewers played Primarily, the Packers were shoehorning this into
- 43:16Speaker 3: an NFL thing because the Packers played there like once
- 43:19Speaker 3: a year. That is where the Brewers played and baseball
- 43:23Speaker 3: season was happening at that point. Apparently the Brewers.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Were on a road trip on this exact date, but
- 43:29Speaker 2: the article will link to. They were able to find
- 43:32Speaker 2: a video from a game on nine to twenty six,
- 43:36Speaker 2: so ten days later. And there was no like headstone
- 43:39Speaker 2: for Jimmy Hoffa at third base or anything, if nothing else.
- 43:44Speaker 2: You wouldn't do it in the middle of baseball season.
- 43:47Speaker 3: That's done.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Wouldn't you do it during the strike that was a
- 43:50Speaker 1: year beforehand, where no one was there? You had a
- 43:53Speaker 1: whole stadium.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Dumb dumb, And I'm sure the strike was on your radar,
- 43:57Speaker 3: as teamsters probably pay attention to labor issues like that. Yeah,
- 44:01Speaker 3: that would have been a way better time to do it.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Yeah, this is what I mean. Why why would you
- 44:05Speaker 1: do this if you had the chance to get rid
- 44:08Speaker 1: of the body the first time? Why would you even
- 44:11Speaker 1: bury him under fucking the meadowlands. Why wouldn't you throw
- 44:14Speaker 1: him in a swamp. Why wouldn't you just throw him
- 44:17Speaker 1: into a grave in the middle of nowhere? Why would
- 44:19Speaker 1: you put him under a baseball stadium. Why would you
- 44:22Speaker 1: put him under a football stadium? Why?
- 44:25Speaker 2: And it's not like putting him under there means he's
- 44:28Speaker 2: never gonna be found. Yeah, at the point they would
- 44:30Speaker 2: have done this, Milwaukee County Stadium was on its way
- 44:34Speaker 2: to be torn down by that point.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Also, how did they get into the stadium with Jimmy
- 44:40Speaker 1: Hoffa's corpse and no one noticing?
- 44:44Speaker 3: Yeah? Did they just sneak in? And if so, how did.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Oh?
- 44:48Speaker 3: Yeah, they were at a game.
- 44:51Speaker 1: They put off in the sausage suit for the weader
- 44:54Speaker 1: races because it was at Brewer Stadium. Who was in
- 44:57Speaker 1: the broughtwurst?
- 45:00Speaker 3: Oh man, what a stupid theory.
- 45:02Speaker 1: But I mean, you know, if you can't trust the casebusters,
- 45:05Speaker 1: who I look that up? When we did the codes.
- 45:08Speaker 1: These are also the dudes that said that they cracked
- 45:10Speaker 1: the Zodiac case and the FBI is like, no thanks, So.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you know it's interesting you bring that up
- 45:17Speaker 2: because there is another theory about Jimmy Hoffa that a
- 45:22Speaker 2: guy named Edward Wayne Edwards. Yes, he's a serial killer
- 45:27Speaker 2: named Edward Wayne Edwards. His son is adamant that his
- 45:31Speaker 2: dad was the Zodiac Killer. And there's a whole documentary
- 45:36Speaker 2: about it, and at the end there's this really weird
- 45:38Speaker 2: part where he's like, hey, San Francisco PD. You have
- 45:42Speaker 2: the Zodiac Killers DNA, I got my dad's DNA.
- 45:45Speaker 3: You want to compare them?
- 45:46Speaker 2: And the San Francisco PD did not want to compare
- 45:49Speaker 2: that shit, and they still have not. I think the
- 45:52Speaker 2: kid makes a good case. But what's interesting is he
- 45:55Speaker 2: actually thinks his dad was the Zodiac Killer, the Atlanta
- 45:59Speaker 2: child murderer. He thinks he killed John Benet Ramsey, which
- 46:02Speaker 2: that one I don't buy, the Atlanta child murderer, I
- 46:04Speaker 2: do think. But he also thinks his dad killed Jimmy Haffa.
- 46:08Speaker 2: And here's the thing. His dad was part of Jimmy
- 46:12Speaker 2: Haffa's inner circle at the time Jimmy Hoffa went missing.
- 46:17Speaker 2: And what this guy's son says is, my dad was
- 46:21Speaker 2: a killer of opportunity. If he saw a murder he
- 46:24Speaker 2: thought he could get away with, he would just do it.
- 46:26Speaker 2: And what he thinks is his dad saw this very
- 46:29Speaker 2: famous argument that happened between Jimmy Hoffa and another guy
- 46:33Speaker 2: who suspected of killing him, and in that moment was like, Oh,
- 46:37Speaker 2: if I kill him, people are just gonna think this
- 46:39Speaker 2: guy that everyone saw him arguing with.
- 46:41Speaker 1: It's like a found twenty Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 46:45Speaker 3: It's the fucking interesting theory.
- 46:49Speaker 1: But just that seems more reasonable than we murdered him,
- 46:55Speaker 1: buried him under the meadow lands, dug him up, and
- 46:58Speaker 1: then moved him like fucking king corpse to the fucking
- 47:01Speaker 1: British Museum, and then buried him under the under a
- 47:07Speaker 1: stadium in Milwaukee a second time. That was gonna get
- 47:10Speaker 1: demolished anyway. So if they did demolish it, is it
- 47:13Speaker 1: still there where they That's what they're saying, it's still.
- 47:16Speaker 3: The body is still there.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Yeah, we have at this point GPS and a bunch
- 47:23Speaker 1: of things that can perfectly align with where the third
- 47:26Speaker 1: baseline was and tell you the exact thing. And they're
- 47:29Speaker 1: still saying, no, the home plate might have moved because
- 47:32Speaker 1: this dog barked at it.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Yes, science slogan science.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Oh shit, Well, I mean, if the Packers did play
- 47:43Speaker 1: there a couple of times, there is a theory that
- 47:45Speaker 1: maybe the magnets from their stadium might have thrown that
- 47:49Speaker 1: shit off. Because dogs shit in accordance to the electromagnetic spectrum.
- 47:54Speaker 1: That's why they spin around and stuff. So maybe that
- 47:56Speaker 1: threw it off when they found the corpse. I mean,
- 47:58Speaker 1: that is the science. It checks out don't look at that.
- 48:00Speaker 3: Yeah, no, what if the dog shit on Jimmy Hoffa's grave,
- 48:05Speaker 3: The dog.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Just really is anti Udi. It's an acab dogs just yet.
- 48:11Speaker 2: So yeah, if anyone has a shovel and is in
- 48:14Speaker 2: the vicinity of Milwaukee County Stadium, go dig up the
- 48:17Speaker 2: third base area and let us know in the comments
- 48:19Speaker 2: if you find Jimmy Hoffa. So this next story, this
- 48:23Speaker 2: is barely a conspiracy. It is more of an opinion.
- 48:26Speaker 2: But I think it might be the most believable thing
- 48:30Speaker 2: on this list.
- 48:30Speaker 1: Extremely logical. What we've talked about so far is like,
- 48:33Speaker 1: why would you do this, how would you do this?
- 48:36Speaker 1: And does it make sense that you would have done
- 48:38Speaker 1: this for this thing? And how you did it? And
- 48:41Speaker 1: checks all those boxes.
- 48:43Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 48:45Speaker 2: It's from a Reddit thread about NFL conspiracies, hosted by
- 48:49Speaker 2: a user called cut Silly fifty ninety nine. Ask form
- 48:52Speaker 2: by name, tell them conspiracy show sant Ya. I'm just
- 48:55Speaker 2: going to read it verbatim. It's a little long, I apologize,
- 48:58Speaker 2: but here goes. It's not really a conspiracy because it's
- 49:01Speaker 2: out in the open. But I think that the entire
- 49:03Speaker 2: Patriot dynasty is tainted, not because of deflated footballs or
- 49:08Speaker 2: secret cameras, but because they circumvented the salary cap to
- 49:12Speaker 2: pay Tom Brady way below market value. In twenty thirteen,
- 49:17Speaker 2: Brady and Alex Guerrero, his quack fitness trainer, opened a
- 49:21Speaker 2: TB twelve center at Gillette Stadium. That was the same
- 49:25Speaker 2: year Brady renegotiated his contract for five years fifty seven
- 49:29Speaker 2: million dollars, so thirteen point six million per year. This
- 49:33Speaker 2: was seen as a big hometown discount at the time.
- 49:37Speaker 2: Everyone lauded Brady for his willingness to self sacrifice for
- 49:41Speaker 2: the betterment of the team.
- 49:42Speaker 1: That's what you can do when you got Gazell money
- 49:45Speaker 1: coming into your household.
- 49:46Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 49:48Speaker 2: However, we know that Kraft was paying Brady outside of
- 49:52Speaker 2: the collective agreement for services rendered by TB twelve for
- 49:57Speaker 2: various athletes that trained there. We know this because in
- 50:01Speaker 2: twenty fifteen, Brady's iPhone data was leaked. There are conversations
- 50:06Speaker 2: between himself and an employee from the Patriots regarding a
- 50:10Speaker 2: check for TB twelve, how much for what services, who
- 50:14Speaker 2: owned the TB twelve building. All this money can add
- 50:17Speaker 2: up quickly. I suspect that Craft cut Brady a deal
- 50:20Speaker 2: for TB twelve so Brady could earn additional money that
- 50:24Speaker 2: wouldn't count against the salary cap. There's more, but I
- 50:29Speaker 2: think that makes a lot of fucking sense.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean teams are always trying to figure out
- 50:33Speaker 1: ways to get around shit like that and navigate salary
- 50:37Speaker 1: cap loopholes and stuff. I mean, there's a reason that
- 50:41Speaker 1: we celebrate Bobby Benia day. Oh yeah, wait, is it
- 50:44Speaker 1: Bobby Bania who's still being paid. Who's the Mets player
- 50:47Speaker 1: who had that thing where he deferred like all of
- 50:49Speaker 1: his paycheck years later and it was tied into Bobby Bondia.
- 50:54Speaker 3: Yeah, he is paid one point one nine million dollars annually.
- 50:58Speaker 1: Oh wait, yeah, it is Bobby Bania. So Bobby, they
- 51:00Speaker 1: deferred his salary for years, so he's still getting paid
- 51:03Speaker 1: like now. And the funny thing is is the reason
- 51:06Speaker 1: they did that is because they thought they would make
- 51:08Speaker 1: so much money off of investing with Aonzie scheme. Guy
- 51:11Speaker 1: Bernie Man Bernie. Yeah, there's tons of times where you
- 51:15Speaker 1: see stupid shit like this trying to like navigate salary
- 51:18Speaker 1: cap and it makes sense. Oh, if we go around
- 51:20Speaker 1: the cap like this, we have a better team, we
- 51:23Speaker 1: can pay this. This is logical financial conspiracies, because that
- 51:28Speaker 1: just makes sense more than Jimmy Hoffa might be buried
- 51:31Speaker 1: under two same two cemeteries at the same time, or
- 51:35Speaker 1: Taylor Swift made me sign a freed up contract or whatever.
- 51:38Speaker 1: Weird shit.
- 51:39Speaker 3: Yeah, Bobby Bonia gets that money until twenty thirty five.
- 51:43Speaker 1: Yep, yeah, no, Bobby Benia day move.
- 51:46Speaker 3: On his part. Holy shit, that's Altani's contract too.
- 51:50Speaker 2: Yeah, same thing, like two in a year, and then
- 51:54Speaker 2: after that contracts up, he starts.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Well, here's the thing. Both of those guys contracts were
- 51:58Speaker 1: completely legal within the confines of the salary cap, and
- 52:01Speaker 1: there's tons of times where people try to get around
- 52:04Speaker 1: shit like that and do things that just involve weird
- 52:07Speaker 1: shit involving that. Right now, in MLS this is also legal.
- 52:11Speaker 1: But we have the Miami team who got I'm blanking
- 52:14Speaker 1: on the soccer player's name, best soccer player in the world,
- 52:17Speaker 1: Messi Messi. Yeah, why did I blake on that? But
- 52:20Speaker 1: Messi was offered like part ownership and like all this
- 52:23Speaker 1: other stuff, and they're like, there's ways to get you
- 52:26Speaker 1: paid that don't involve directly like your actual salary. That
- 52:30Speaker 1: you're getting paid. So Robert Raft trying to figure ways
- 52:34Speaker 1: to save more money for hand jobs seems to be
- 52:37Speaker 1: like in mine with the type of person he is. Also,
- 52:39Speaker 1: Alex Guerrero is a piece of shit. We didn't really
- 52:41Speaker 1: talk about that. The dude has a three paragraph section
- 52:45Speaker 1: in his Wikipedia that is sanctioning by the FTC.
- 52:49Speaker 3: So you know, yeah, maybe Robert Kraft is trying to
- 52:53Speaker 3: raise enough money to buy a Super Bowl ring back
- 52:56Speaker 3: from Plutin.
- 52:57Speaker 1: From Vladimir Food. Yeah, I like, just like, just let
- 53:00Speaker 1: it go, just let it go. He's like, okay, yeah.
- 53:03Speaker 2: I've heard that is like in a display case in
- 53:05Speaker 2: a library inside the Kremlin.
- 53:07Speaker 3: Wow, I love that. I love it.
- 53:10Speaker 1: That was probably his plan for Britney Griner.
- 53:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so yeah, cut silly fifty nine to forty nine.
- 53:17Speaker 3: Good job. I think you're right, all right. Last story,
- 53:21Speaker 3: this one is a doozy. Virginia McCaskey had her brother killed.
- 53:26Speaker 3: Virginia McCaskey, of course, owner of the Chicago Bears. From
- 53:31Speaker 3: the Chicago Bears, people don't realize they are old as
- 53:35Speaker 3: fucking dinosaurs. They have been a professional football team for
- 53:40Speaker 3: a long long time.
- 53:42Speaker 1: They're literally a charter franchise like it's them and the
- 53:46Speaker 1: Arizona Cardinals, who were also the Chicago Cardinals back then.
- 53:50Speaker 3: To give you an example, how old the Bears are.
- 53:52Speaker 3: Their owner, Virginia McCaskey is one hundred and one years old,
- 53:56Speaker 3: I think.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Yeah, And she got it from her.
- 53:59Speaker 2: Dad, And that's kind of what this theory is about,
- 54:04Speaker 2: is how did she get it from her dad because
- 54:08Speaker 2: the thinking was always that the family business was going
- 54:12Speaker 2: to go to her brother.
- 54:15Speaker 1: What was his mugs he is George Hallis Junior. Everyone
- 54:17Speaker 1: just called them mugs, which is a lot easier than
- 54:21Speaker 1: just calling him junior or something.
- 54:23Speaker 2: But then Muggs died of a heart attack and Virginia
- 54:27Speaker 2: McCaskey ended up getting his share.
- 54:30Speaker 1: And it's a shady way she got it too.
- 54:34Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because there were he had two kids, her
- 54:38Speaker 2: brother had two.
- 54:39Speaker 1: Your children who were like eleven and twelve or thirteen something, right, Yeah.
- 54:44Speaker 2: And because her brother died, it gave her kind of
- 54:48Speaker 2: like a controlling share in the ownership of the Bears.
- 54:53Speaker 2: His kids would have had an also kind of ownership stake,
- 54:56Speaker 2: and she devalued their shares.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Yeah, she was put in charge of like their trust
- 55:03Speaker 1: and you know, once they turn of age, they would
- 55:06Speaker 1: have had that and they would have had the controlling
- 55:08Speaker 1: but as owner of the trust, she decided to reorganize it.
- 55:11Speaker 1: So they got fucked over, which, as he said.
- 55:14Speaker 3: Yeah, they got I mean she bought their shares for
- 55:16Speaker 3: what sounds like a lot of money. I think it
- 55:18Speaker 3: was something like seventeen millions.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Like seventeen but like fucking franchises are worth.
- 55:23Speaker 3: The shares she bought from them would be worth over
- 55:26Speaker 3: a billion.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it's definitely some like Zuckerberg Facebook shit with.
- 55:30Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think that is why people suspect she
- 55:35Speaker 2: had her brother killed, just because she's been kind of
- 55:38Speaker 2: fucking ruthless in dealing with his kids in terms of
- 55:41Speaker 2: splitting up the estate. But then there's also the thing
- 55:44Speaker 2: where his family had his body exhumed and they were
- 55:49Speaker 2: hoping to do an autopsy and found that his organs
- 55:53Speaker 2: had been replaced with sawdust.
- 55:56Speaker 1: His brain, his like liver, his heart, his spinal cord
- 56:00Speaker 1: was all replaced with sawdust.
- 56:02Speaker 2: Because they were already checking to see if maybe he
- 56:05Speaker 2: was poisoned or something like that happened, and you kind
- 56:08Speaker 2: of have to have the organs in order to check
- 56:12Speaker 2: for stuff like that. If Virginia McCaskey had a hand
- 56:16Speaker 2: in this and had the foresight to have his organs removed,
- 56:20Speaker 2: that's bravo. That is expert murderer shit right there.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Yeah. So this is like, this is one of those
- 56:28Speaker 1: things where I think there's truth in like the bullshit
- 56:32Speaker 1: of the conspiracy, Cause I don't find it hard to
- 56:35Speaker 1: believe that a man in his fifties in fifties era Chicago,
- 56:40Speaker 1: the land of encased meat, would die of a heart
- 56:44Speaker 1: attack suddenly. That's like we literally the most famous Chicago
- 56:49Speaker 1: show now is centered around Italian beef. So I don't
- 56:53Speaker 1: find it hard to believe that a guy would have
- 56:56Speaker 1: a heart attack, Like that's just okay, shit happen. So
- 57:01Speaker 1: that I think it's more of a crime of opportunity
- 57:04Speaker 1: where it's like, oh, I'm in charge now, I'm gonna
- 57:08Speaker 1: you know, evil stepmother this bullshit or whatever, and take
- 57:11Speaker 1: advantage of that financially because you know she has the
- 57:14Speaker 1: opportunity to do that. So yeah, and note she would
- 57:18Speaker 1: have had no opportunity otherwise because Mugs was the heir apparent.
- 57:22Speaker 1: This was some straight up I think this is more
- 57:24Speaker 1: Game of Thrones weird shit, But in terms of political
- 57:27Speaker 1: wranglings rather than killing somebody.
- 57:29Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, yeah, it's an interesting story. I did
- 57:36Speaker 2: find at least one source that talks about sawdust being
- 57:40Speaker 2: a thing that.
- 57:42Speaker 3: Funeral homes use.
- 57:44Speaker 2: I'd be interested to know if all of those organs
- 57:48Speaker 2: were gone entirely, because the thing I read, and we'll
- 57:52Speaker 2: link to this in the show notes also is that
- 57:55Speaker 2: apparently sometimes when a body is being autopsy, when they
- 58:00Speaker 2: take the organs out and preserve them in formaldehyde or whatever,
- 58:04Speaker 2: they sometimes lose some of their volume. Yeah, which when
- 58:07Speaker 2: you put them back in, it's gonna make the body
- 58:10Speaker 2: look weird because now there's not organs.
- 58:13Speaker 3: Where there were.
- 58:14Speaker 2: And sawdust or wood shavings they actually call them, it's
- 58:17Speaker 2: not actually sawdust is one of the things that funeral
- 58:21Speaker 2: homes will sometimes use to like flesh those organs back
- 58:24Speaker 2: out and make the body look more normal. So I
- 58:27Speaker 2: do wonder when they say the organs had been replaced
- 58:31Speaker 2: by sawdust, does that mean entirely or was there passing
- 58:35Speaker 2: not enough organ left to do an autopsy.
- 58:39Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's why there was sawdust there.
- 58:42Speaker 1: And also again, the mccaskeys are incompetent a t This
- 58:47Speaker 1: is a family that had a press conference for a
- 58:49Speaker 1: coach that ended up not taking the job in the
- 58:53Speaker 1: late nineties before Dick Duron remember that. Yes, Yeah, so
- 58:57Speaker 1: it's not like we are not dealing with like criminal
- 59:01Speaker 1: masterminds here with the Bear. They haven't been able to
- 59:05Speaker 1: find the right combo of, hey, we should hire a
- 59:08Speaker 1: coach the same time we draft a quarterback for like
- 59:12Speaker 1: three decades. So the idea of them being mastermind criminals
- 59:17Speaker 1: involving a murder conspiracy is a little far fetter for me.
- 59:20Speaker 1: But at the same time, I absolutely think that they
- 59:23Speaker 1: saw like a crime of opportunity and took that because
- 59:25Speaker 1: money makes people do people shit, and screwing over family
- 59:28Speaker 1: members over money is the thing that happens quite frequently.
- 59:31Speaker 3: So yeah, especially after someone dies.
- 59:35Speaker 2: If you've ever been through that, the fucking family wheeling
- 59:40Speaker 2: and dealing after that happens is usually pretty goddamn gross.
- 59:44Speaker 2: And it seems like there's no question as to whether
- 59:47Speaker 2: Virginia McCaskey did that part. Yeah, that's just she legitimately
- 59:52Speaker 2: fucked these kids out of a bunch of money. Yeah,
- 59:55Speaker 2: just a question of if she gave her brother a
- 59:58Speaker 2: heart attack, how would you do that?
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: I mean, she's rich, find a way she's rich.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: But again, like I said, it's Chicago. I think that
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: the Maxwell Street polish was gonna do that job before
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: any assassine poison got there. Man.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe that's why his organs aren't there. They're just
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: all fucking Italian sausage grease.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: It's just filled with colbasa where his intestine is supposed
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: to be, Italian beef where the braid is supposed to
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: be and then the sport peppers with the spinal cord
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: for Chicago dogs, like, yeah.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: What's your take on Chicago dogs? Not a fan.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: I like Chicago style hot dogs. I will say this, though,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I kind of enjoy them better when they're char dogs
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: rather than when they're boiled. I like the texture and
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: like that. I think it kicks it up a notch.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: So I wish that they would default to char dogs
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: being the Chicago style stuff. But I like Chicago style
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: hot dogs, so yeah, I will defend that, like I
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: will defend deep dish. I don't think it's great all
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: the time, but it's a great option for just a
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: different dog.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: Yeah, oh, I thought you were talking about deep dish.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: I do think that's great all the time. Oh, I
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: love the dish, but I like the Vienna beef hot
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: dog and I like the hoppy seed bun. But I'm
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: a mustard and chilly guy.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: See, yeah, that's the thing. I liked different toppings with
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: hot dogs. I'm not the same thing every single time
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: with that. Like, I like having options like that. Sometimes
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: I like caramelized onions and freaking like some type of
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: hot mustard that you put on there. There's tons of
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: different options you could do with dogs that are really good.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: So I'm not super defensive about it, but I do
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: get defensive when people are like, oh no, it's terrible.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: It's like running it through a garden. It's like, eh, good,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: they come together, they compliment each other. But yeah, I
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: like it better when it's charred. I will say that. Yeah.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: And I think people at home could just listen to
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: how passionately me and Logan are talking about hot dogs
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: and probably find it somewhere in your heart to believe
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: that Mugs Hallie just died of a heart attack.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. We have strong takes about encased meats there.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: It's I can't express how weird the Chicago diet is
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: for somebody out there in terms of like, how do
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: you all not have high blood pressure and just fall
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: over when you're fifty five? Monzius died at fifty two.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: So yeah, yeah, no doo that's the answer.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Yeah, and bear in mind this is seventies hot dogs
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: where they were just fucking throwing whatever nitrates in that shit.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: You know that he was getting some good shit on there.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Although that maybe that would have preserved his organs.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: No maybe, yeah. Yeah. Now Virginia McCaskey back on the
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: hot seat.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: So complete side thing we were talking about being excited
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: for in Case Meats. I was so excited that I
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: rushed to my phone and immediately texted my best friend
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: because I'm not in the Chicago area now, I'm in Texas.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: I excitedly texted him, Hey, they're opening a Portillo's within
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: twenty minutes of me in like four months. That's how
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: much we love him Case Meats and shit, Okay.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: That is exciting. Also, yeah, so I would.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Be sched having a heart attack from Chicago, not surprising.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: Yeah, So I think that is our episode logan. Thank
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: you so much for thanks for having me doing the pod.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: I already told people they should listen to w NBA
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: our podcast about the WNBA and women's sports, mostly women's basketball.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: What else do we have to plug? Logan? What do
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: you got?
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: I've been popping up his guest host on screenplay over
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: at the game for the Unemployed Network. Tom Is has
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: baby right now, so he's taking care of his baby.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: So tom Is has baby, tom is habit of tom
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: Is has baby. I just had a dyslexic moment right there,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: just crossed wires. But yeah, Tom's doing baby duty. So
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I'm just filling in for a little bit with John Ryman.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: So if you want to check that out, it's a
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: very fun podcast. Also, I'm on the socials at the
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: Logan Trent And if you listen to WNBA, you know
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: that I'm not a big fan of genocide. We could
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: kind of just agree to that. That's gonna probably be
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: an issue that pops up a lot tomorrow at the election,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: and we're a lot more after that.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Oh man, Yeah, no genocide. That'd be nice, that would
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: be so so nice. And let's get the absolute fuck
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: out of here. Logan say goodbye bye, goodbye everybody.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: We love you.
