- 1:58Speaker 3: To say, it's been entertaining.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Good choice of words.
- 2:01Speaker 5: So Whitley Yates, political strategists and media expert, founder of
- 2:05Speaker 5: the Niche Agency, and it is the leader in the
- 2:08Speaker 5: Indieana Republican Party.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Is that correct?
- 2:12Speaker 6: I am the actual director of Diversity for the Indiana Republican.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Party, direct director of Diversity.
- 2:18Speaker 4: From Indy heard that correct?
- 2:20Speaker 3: For the Indiana What part of Indiana are you from?
- 2:23Speaker 4: Indianapolis?
- 2:25Speaker 2: Okay? Okay, yeah, we've been shut out up.
- 2:28Speaker 5: We are on our partners is from Indiana. He's from
- 2:30Speaker 5: East Chicago, Indiana.
- 2:32Speaker 4: We love East Chicago. I love the region.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Okay, okay, okay, we're familiar.
- 2:37Speaker 5: All right, all right, Uh so let's get into it.
- 2:40Speaker 5: You know you are a Republican, right. We just saw
- 2:44Speaker 5: about one hundred minutes of a very spirited debate. We're
- 2:51Speaker 5: going to ask you know, different questions, but first and foremost,
- 2:53Speaker 5: what was your thoughts on the debate?
- 2:56Speaker 4: Let me tell you a.
- 2:56Speaker 6: Little bit about what I was expecting to hear and
- 2:59Speaker 6: what I think a lot of Americans were expecting to hear,
- 3:02Speaker 6: which was a plan, a plan to move America from
- 3:05Speaker 6: the current state that it's in into a better one.
- 3:08Speaker 6: And when I say the current state, I'm talking inflation,
- 3:10Speaker 6: I'm talking the price of gas, I'm talking shrinkflation, I'm
- 3:13Speaker 6: talking immigration. And more specifically me as a black woman,
- 3:16Speaker 6: what are you going to do for the black community.
- 3:19Speaker 6: If you listened to that debate and you felt like
- 3:21Speaker 6: you heard that plan, I would be interested to see
- 3:24Speaker 6: what they're saying in the chat. I think both candidates
- 3:28Speaker 6: went in with very two, very different missions. To be
- 3:32Speaker 6: quite honest, Kamalin needed to prove that she actually has
- 3:35Speaker 6: a plan, and Trump needed to prove that his leadership
- 3:39Speaker 6: is better than hers and Biden's. So they went in
- 3:42Speaker 6: there with very different tasks. I think that one of
- 3:46Speaker 6: them achieved it and the other one didn't. But I
- 3:50Speaker 6: also think that we are the ones who kind of
- 3:52Speaker 6: are lost at the end of the day. If you
- 3:54Speaker 6: were an undecided voter and you were looking for plans,
- 3:58Speaker 6: specifically from commonlo you didn't really hear.
- 4:01Speaker 4: A lot of that.
- 4:02Speaker 6: If you were someone who was looking for policies, you
- 4:06Speaker 6: didn't really hear a lot of that. And so I
- 4:08Speaker 6: think overall this wasn't This isn't going to sway or
- 4:13Speaker 6: change too many people's decisions.
- 4:16Speaker 1: When when when you looked at I mean even some
- 4:18Speaker 1: of the feedback early on, the word unhinge has come
- 4:21Speaker 1: up in the evening in this chat. What are your
- 4:23Speaker 1: thoughts on the performance by forming President Trump? I seemed
- 4:27Speaker 1: at times when we heard about eating the dolls, we
- 4:30Speaker 1: talked about the FBI not being a reliable source when
- 4:34Speaker 1: it comes to data. What are your thoughts around his
- 4:36Speaker 1: specific performance today?
- 4:38Speaker 6: So this is going to be the easiest answer I
- 4:40Speaker 6: have online. I'm sure I feel like I always know
- 4:43Speaker 6: what I'm going to get with Trump, Like Trump is
- 4:46Speaker 6: always going to show up and he's going to be Trump,
- 4:48Speaker 6: and we're going to be able to know exactly what
- 4:49Speaker 6: he's gonna say, and he's going to say exactly how
- 4:51Speaker 6: he feels. So when he's talking about the FBI not
- 4:54Speaker 6: being reliable, me as a black woman and understanding cooytel pro,
- 4:57Speaker 6: I understand that the FBI is probably one of the
- 4:59Speaker 6: least relying agencies, specifically when they're targeting their political opponents.
- 5:04Speaker 4: When he talks about them, they're eating your pets. Okay,
- 5:08Speaker 4: we all got a laugh out of that.
- 5:09Speaker 6: But there's a video of a black man in Springfield
- 5:12Speaker 6: talking about he watched them walk up in the park,
- 5:14Speaker 6: cut the head off a duck and start eating the duck.
- 5:17Speaker 7: This wait, you do like a duck?
- 5:28Speaker 3: You like a ducking duck? Pecking duck.
- 5:31Speaker 5: It's different from uh, go there, achievement.
- 5:37Speaker 6: One up in the park and cut the head off
- 5:40Speaker 6: the duck and eat it. But there's also videos of migrants,
- 5:44Speaker 6: immigrants going and eating people's cats and being arrested for
- 5:48Speaker 6: eat killing and eating a cat like this, it's real,
- 5:51Speaker 6: Like these are things that are happening. There are cultural
- 5:53Speaker 6: differences when you have mass immigration and mass migration into
- 5:57Speaker 6: this country. Let's not act like it's not something that
- 6:00Speaker 6: is happening. It is happening. And I think in totality,
- 6:04Speaker 6: when you're looking at what Donald Trump did tonight, he
- 6:07Speaker 6: did what he always does. He's gonna tell you how
- 6:09Speaker 6: great he is. He's going to tell you the things
- 6:11Speaker 6: that he's did for the economy. He's gonna tell you
- 6:13Speaker 6: that she's trash, and then he's gonna tell you that
- 6:15Speaker 6: he's gonna make America great again. And I think that
- 6:17Speaker 6: he did all of those things effortlessly.
- 6:20Speaker 5: So let me all right, let me let's just okay, now,
- 6:22Speaker 5: let's get to it. It is thirty five hundred people in
- 6:24Speaker 5: the check and this is gonna be a very big
- 6:26Speaker 5: live We're just getting started. So let me ask you
- 6:30Speaker 5: a question, honestly, right, and do you think that he's
- 6:36Speaker 5: mentally stable to run the country? Because he says a
- 6:41Speaker 5: lot of things that would lend you to believe that
- 6:45Speaker 5: he's unhinged. So do you think that he's mentally stable
- 6:50Speaker 5: to run the country?
- 6:52Speaker 4: Do you want my honest answer?
- 6:54Speaker 2: Yeah? Please, please please.
- 6:55Speaker 6: If Joe Biden is mentally stable to be president for
- 6:58Speaker 6: the last.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Foo Biden's not running. Joe Biden is not running.
- 7:02Speaker 6: My answer, Joe Biden is able to still be president
- 7:06Speaker 6: in his cognitive state right now, then Donald Trump is
- 7:11Speaker 6: well in position mentally with the acuity to be president.
- 7:16Speaker 6: And that should be a very that's a very clear
- 7:19Speaker 6: answer because the truth is that we've had a president
- 7:22Speaker 6: in the White House and we still have one there
- 7:24Speaker 6: that has the cognition of a monkey, who has the
- 7:28Speaker 6: mental acuity of adult principle.
- 7:31Speaker 4: And it's just the truth. He doesn't know what is
- 7:33Speaker 4: at all.
- 7:34Speaker 6: And so if he's able to lead this nation, the
- 7:37Speaker 6: fact that you don't think Donald Trump is when he
- 7:39Speaker 6: just did it four years ago, is really last Well I'm.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Just asking, I'm just well, all right, take take I
- 7:44Speaker 5: don't think okay, but I'm just saying Biden is not
- 7:47Speaker 5: running for president. So the choices between he is president
- 7:51Speaker 5: he currently now, but he's not running for president. So
- 7:54Speaker 5: I don't think anybody thinks that Vice President Harris you
- 7:57Speaker 5: might not like her, but she's mentally right. I don't
- 8:01Speaker 5: think there's never been a question that she's not mentally stable.
- 8:04Speaker 5: So between her mental cognitive ability to actually function on
- 8:08Speaker 5: a day to day level, you have more confidence in
- 8:11Speaker 5: her day to day mental stability or Donald Trump's mental stability.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Between those two.
- 8:16Speaker 6: I don't have any question about Donald Trump's mental stability.
- 8:19Speaker 6: I don't have any question about Kamala Harris's mental stability.
- 8:22Speaker 6: I think that she's well aware of the policies that
- 8:25Speaker 6: she has produced in her twenty one year career. I
- 8:28Speaker 6: think that she's well aware how it's impacted people that
- 8:30Speaker 6: look like me, and especially people that look like you
- 8:33Speaker 6: black men.
- 8:33Speaker 4: I think that she is.
- 8:35Speaker 6: Very, very strategic in everything that she does, and tonight
- 8:39Speaker 6: was an.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Example of just that.
- 8:41Speaker 2: I want to talk about a few of the issues.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Obviously, inflation is something that our audience is very well
- 8:45Speaker 1: aware of, you know, President former President Trump talking about it.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Being the worst in history.
- 8:51Speaker 1: That's not factually true, right to like nine percent inflation
- 8:55Speaker 1: during the first year of Obiden administration is down to
- 8:58Speaker 1: two point nine currently. Tracking was an issue that came up,
- 9:02Speaker 1: and we saw, you know, Vice President Harris change her
- 9:06Speaker 1: position on that from her two twenty and twenty stands.
- 9:09Speaker 1: But at the end of the debate when they talked
- 9:12Speaker 1: about the Affordable Care Act and the question came about
- 9:17Speaker 1: nine years of you having a plan. What is the
- 9:20Speaker 1: plan now? I want to know your thoughts around the answer,
- 9:23Speaker 1: because we didn't really hear a plan, right. It was
- 9:25Speaker 1: trying to repeal it, try to repeal it sixty times.
- 9:27Speaker 1: It didn't work. What is the plan now? What are
- 9:29Speaker 1: your thoughts around the party's plan for healthcare going forward?
- 9:34Speaker 6: I think what's going to happen is Affordable Care Act
- 9:36Speaker 6: is going to stay in place. One of the hardest
- 9:37Speaker 6: things to do is reverse policies.
- 9:41Speaker 8: Right.
- 9:41Speaker 6: It's easy to reverse an executive order or something that
- 9:44Speaker 6: is written by the president, but it's a lot harder
- 9:46Speaker 6: to reverse some of these negative policies. And while Trump
- 9:50Speaker 6: campaigned on reversing Affordable Care and wanting.
- 9:53Speaker 4: To fix it, it was one of the things that was
- 9:55Speaker 4: very hard to do.
- 9:56Speaker 6: And so I do think that something needs to be
- 9:58Speaker 6: done within the health care system.
- 10:00Speaker 4: What I don't think we need is medicare for all.
- 10:03Speaker 6: What I don't think we need is a single payer system,
- 10:06Speaker 6: which is one of the things that Kamala Harris wants
- 10:09Speaker 6: and or or wanted.
- 10:10Speaker 4: I don't know if she wanted.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Today, She could have wanted it yesterday, but it's one
- 10:14Speaker 6: of the things that she wants where everyone will eventually
- 10:17Speaker 6: give up their private insurance and everyone will have government
- 10:19Speaker 6: funded insurance. As someone who is currently on Medicaid and
- 10:24Speaker 6: understanding how that has impacted me and the level of
- 10:27Speaker 6: care and the level of service that I'm able to get,
- 10:29Speaker 6: the wait times at the hospitals, and all of these
- 10:32Speaker 6: different things. Someone who had Obamacare before, who came out
- 10:36Speaker 6: with over fifteen thousand dollars in healthcare bills with Obamacare,
- 10:40Speaker 6: something definitely needs to be done. I'm not necessarily sure
- 10:43Speaker 6: that there's a panacea to fix it all, but definitely
- 10:46Speaker 6: reducing health care costs and making it more transparent is
- 10:49Speaker 6: a beginning.
- 10:50Speaker 5: So all right, So a lot of stuff that they
- 10:52Speaker 5: get that they did not get a chance to talk about, Like,
- 10:54Speaker 5: you're right, they didn't get a chance to talk about
- 10:56Speaker 5: a lot about policy. She had mentioned that she wanted
- 10:58Speaker 5: to do fifty thousand dollar I got tax credit I
- 11:02Speaker 5: think for entrepreneurs.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Called it the opportunity economy, a tax cut up for
- 11:06Speaker 1: six k for families and then a small business owners
- 11:12Speaker 1: fifty thousand dollars deduction for startups.
- 11:14Speaker 5: So you as a Republican, right, what what's your knock
- 11:19Speaker 5: on a democratic economic policy and would you have liked
- 11:23Speaker 5: to hear Trump like, what are you attracted to from
- 11:25Speaker 5: Trump's economic policy plan.
- 11:28Speaker 6: I'm attracted to low taxes. That it's pretty pretty plain,
- 11:32Speaker 6: pretty clear. I want to see low taxes, and I
- 11:34Speaker 6: also want to see the opportunities increase for minority businesses.
- 11:39Speaker 6: And when I'm talking about opportunities, I'm talking about no
- 11:42Speaker 6: bid federal contracts. I'm talking about increasing the amount specifically
- 11:47Speaker 6: given four and two AA businesses through the Small Business Administration.
- 11:53Speaker 6: Let let's just keep it a buck, right. We know
- 11:56Speaker 6: that Democrats are not the biggest proponent of small businesses,
- 11:59Speaker 6: and we know that like to increase taxes consistently. We
- 12:03Speaker 6: know that they're not the best friends of small businesses.
- 12:06Speaker 6: And we just went through a pandemic where we realized
- 12:09Speaker 6: that in this system, policies tend to favor businesses over people.
- 12:13Speaker 6: So if you were able to show that you had
- 12:15Speaker 6: a business, you were able to get more money than
- 12:17Speaker 6: a person that was struggling without a business. So, framing
- 12:21Speaker 6: this in the true sense of capitalism, what needs to
- 12:24Speaker 6: happen from the government is that they need to create
- 12:26Speaker 6: a culture for my small business to thrive. And the
- 12:29Speaker 6: way that they create that culture is making sure that
- 12:32Speaker 6: we have an economy that is successful and viable for
- 12:35Speaker 6: our businesses to thrive. And one of the things that
- 12:38Speaker 6: she said was she wanted to give us fifty thousand
- 12:40Speaker 6: dollars for startup small businesses. And I'm thinking to myself,
- 12:44Speaker 6: and then what and then who will get that? Because
- 12:46Speaker 6: a lot of times when these policies are predicated specifically
- 12:49Speaker 6: by the Democratic Party, they are marketed to us, but
- 12:54Speaker 6: they are used and the momentum goes to other groups.
- 12:58Speaker 6: They tell us, oh, here's a firmative action, but you
- 13:01Speaker 6: look at who's the proponent and biggest proponents of affirmative action,
- 13:05Speaker 6: and it's not us. They group us in in the
- 13:07Speaker 6: minority category, and then we black people are oftentimes cut
- 13:11Speaker 6: out of a lot of these policies being beneficial for us.
- 13:16Speaker 6: And so her saying that that is what she wants
- 13:18Speaker 6: to do, I want to know how she's going to
- 13:19Speaker 6: pay for it, how she's not going to raise our
- 13:22Speaker 6: taxes to be able to do it, and how this
- 13:24Speaker 6: won't go to those who don't look like us getting
- 13:27Speaker 6: the majority of this. And also what is defined in
- 13:31Speaker 6: her terms as a small business.
- 13:33Speaker 5: Can we bring moment. He's been walking around for oh, man,
- 13:37Speaker 5: I see him. M I don't know if he's able to.
- 13:39Speaker 5: I don't know how audio is going to sound. But
- 13:41Speaker 5: let's let's see. Let's let's bring a good friend up here.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Good man. Although he muted it, you muted it, You
- 13:48Speaker 2: muted it.
- 13:48Speaker 3: My brother here?
- 13:50Speaker 8: Man, what's going on, y'all? Stupid man? What's going on
- 13:53Speaker 8: with up?
- 13:54Speaker 3: What's you in Las Vegas right now?
- 13:59Speaker 2: What are you doing?
- 14:00Speaker 8: No? I'm in d C. I just had a there
- 14:02Speaker 8: was just a watch party at this spot called the
- 14:05Speaker 8: Park in d C. Y'all need to do an event here.
- 14:08Speaker 8: It's an incredible event. It was just as the watch party.
- 14:11Speaker 8: So I'm outside, man, I'm chilling check.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Watch party too. I think I saw you there.
- 14:18Speaker 8: Were you there too at the park?
- 14:20Speaker 9: Uh?
- 14:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I was at the park.
- 14:23Speaker 8: And you left talking crazy like that right now, like
- 14:25Speaker 8: what you're talking right now?
- 14:26Speaker 5: But you know, but you know, you know what, you know,
- 14:31Speaker 5: you know what, you know what Congressman Bowman. She understood
- 14:35Speaker 5: that it was going to be thousands of people watching
- 14:36Speaker 5: this live, so she left the party early to make
- 14:39Speaker 5: sure that she was in a room where we can
- 14:41Speaker 5: have with with adequate lighting, quality audio.
- 14:47Speaker 8: First of all, she frozen on mus screen. First of all.
- 14:50Speaker 4: Because because Republicans like to prepare for stuff.
- 14:53Speaker 1: She said, she's using the rooms Wi Fi and not
- 14:57Speaker 1: relying on the flog on your phone.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Democrat Democrats look at that.
- 15:01Speaker 8: Yeah, my lighting is good, I'm outside. Sound is good.
- 15:05Speaker 8: I'm not frozen.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Street lights I love it. I love it.
- 15:08Speaker 5: Streetlights is better than any like Congressman Congressman Jamaal Bowman
- 15:12Speaker 5: of New York Democratic Congressman.
- 15:15Speaker 3: You watch the debates, what's your thoughts on the debate?
- 15:18Speaker 8: Trump is wild man, Trump is off the shade. Yo.
- 15:22Speaker 8: He was talking about executing babies after birth. That was
- 15:27Speaker 8: wild for the night. He's talking about eating cats and dogs. Wow,
- 15:32Speaker 8: for the night. Listen. I was here three days after
- 15:36Speaker 8: so I was sworn in January third, twenty twenty one.
- 15:40Speaker 8: Three days later there was an insurrection. It was incited
- 15:43Speaker 8: by Trump. Yo. Trump said that she wants transgender operations
- 15:50Speaker 8: on migrants in prison. Yo. He just says anything like
- 15:56Speaker 8: he puts the most like the words that's most scary
- 15:59Speaker 8: to together in a sentence and just puts it out there.
- 16:03Speaker 8: And he's like yo, yo, because he knows his basic
- 16:07Speaker 8: of the feed all over that shit. Listen, I'm a Democrat,
- 16:11Speaker 8: but I'm not, you know, rather die democrat like I
- 16:14Speaker 8: never criticized us. A lot we need to do better,
- 16:17Speaker 8: and a lot we can't do better. But when we
- 16:19Speaker 8: talk about comparison between you know, Kamala Harris and Trump,
- 16:24Speaker 8: to me, it's no comparison. I think she wanted the base.
- 16:28Speaker 8: She couldn't even trusted him even more, like I wish
- 16:32Speaker 8: she would have hit him when he talked about the
- 16:33Speaker 8: bad economy and inflation when I first got here, well, right,
- 16:38Speaker 8: the fuck no, I'm sorry, I'm lying. When he first
- 16:41Speaker 8: came in trillion dollar tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans.
- 16:45Speaker 8: So if you're one of the wealthiest Americans, absolutely you
- 16:48Speaker 8: support Trump. He came in trillion dollar tax cuts for them. That,
- 16:53Speaker 8: in addition to no corporate responsibility, is why we have inflation,
- 16:58Speaker 8: because corporations have been raising taxes on your groceries, on
- 17:02Speaker 8: everything else and they haven't come down post pandemic. And
- 17:07Speaker 8: so she's going to go after that, which is part
- 17:10Speaker 8: of her economic policy, to bring down those costs. When
- 17:13Speaker 8: we talk about inflation, that's what we're talking about, you know.
- 17:17Speaker 8: And again they didn't get a lot in the policy
- 17:19Speaker 8: because he's wild and they're just going back and forth
- 17:22Speaker 8: on character stuff. But yeah, man, it was you know,
- 17:26Speaker 8: you know she I thought she wanted debate. I thought
- 17:29Speaker 8: she could have killed him even more. She should have
- 17:31Speaker 8: brought up the tax cuts. She should have brought up
- 17:33Speaker 8: the tens of billions of dollars that the Body administration
- 17:37Speaker 8: has forgiven in terms of student loans. When he brought
- 17:41Speaker 8: student loans, I'm like, yo, hit him with the data.
- 17:44Speaker 8: My wife is one of the people who had benefited.
- 17:47Speaker 8: She's a third grade teacher. Student loans canceled. She didn't
- 17:50Speaker 8: really hit him with that. A couple of times she
- 17:52Speaker 8: could have hit him, But he's just a wild dude.
- 17:54Speaker 8: Like he's wild, and like, if you want again the
- 17:59Speaker 8: system is broken, corrupt, whatever, but that's not because of
- 18:02Speaker 8: because of white supremacy. If you want just complete chaos
- 18:06Speaker 8: and n our key and and and white nationalism, which
- 18:10Speaker 8: is what he represents, cool vote Trump. But if you're
- 18:13Speaker 8: trying to get to some sense of stability, in my opinion,
- 18:16Speaker 8: it's Kamala. But as you both know you heard me
- 18:19Speaker 8: talk before, it's not just her, it's how are we
- 18:22Speaker 8: holding the House and the Senate accountable and local elected
- 18:26Speaker 8: officials accountable to do the right thing by our people.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Congressman Bowman, do we know who Abdul is and why
- 18:34Speaker 1: his house?
- 18:37Speaker 8: So that's what I'm saying, Like, what did he say?
- 18:42Speaker 8: I spoke that dude. I told him you better not
- 18:45Speaker 8: do it like this.
- 18:47Speaker 10: Dude is all.
- 18:48Speaker 8: The shade son And like again no, I don't, I
- 18:52Speaker 8: personally don't know who he is.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Don't I do not know he is.
- 18:58Speaker 11: But but again that.
- 18:59Speaker 8: That's speak to our foreign policy, right and again, we
- 19:02Speaker 8: still have a foreign policy when we're sending billions of
- 19:06Speaker 8: dollars a year to Israel to support a genocide not
- 19:10Speaker 8: just in my opinion, but according to an international courts.
- 19:14Speaker 8: But we also have a foreign policy that supports child
- 19:17Speaker 8: migrants in uh the Congo mining cobalt with their hands.
- 19:23Speaker 8: That supports all of our technology and they're not getting
- 19:27Speaker 8: the financial benefits of that. We also have a foreign
- 19:29Speaker 8: policy support they're mining coal.
- 19:33Speaker 4: That must be what you're talking about.
- 19:36Speaker 8: Thank you very much. I appreciate that, thank you, even
- 19:42Speaker 8: though I still think it might be cobalt. But that's fine.
- 19:52Speaker 8: Black children using their hands in their African country mining
- 19:57Speaker 8: raw materials that the meaning white people, meaning Trump's white
- 20:03Speaker 8: supremacy is using to build wealth, and African nations are
- 20:07Speaker 8: on benefit of that, benefiting from that. So that's again
- 20:10Speaker 8: connected to our foreign policies all funked up. Listen. The
- 20:15Speaker 8: American political system is rooted in white supremacy, and we
- 20:21Speaker 8: on the ground locally and nationally need to continue organized
- 20:26Speaker 8: to push against that. So that's a part of it.
- 20:29Speaker 6: Are you a part of white supremacy and black face
- 20:31Speaker 6: and your position in Congress? Because the truth of the
- 20:34Speaker 6: matter is you and Kamala Harris and Joe Biden and
- 20:38Speaker 6: a lot of these politicians who have been in office
- 20:41Speaker 6: for decades. Kamala Harris has been doing this for twenty
- 20:44Speaker 6: one plus years, almost older than me.
- 20:47Speaker 8: Not in Congress.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Hold up, Hold up, listen, listen. Joe Biden has definitely
- 20:53Speaker 4: been there long ago.
- 20:54Speaker 8: Been talking about Biden.
- 20:56Speaker 4: We're talking about the system. I thought we were just
- 20:58Speaker 4: talking about the system. Let's second, let.
- 21:01Speaker 6: Me finish, black man, black man, you have voted to
- 21:06Speaker 6: send that money over there.
- 21:08Speaker 4: You have earned hold on you have voted.
- 21:11Speaker 8: You are.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Let me finish that.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Let finish you respond on blaming my time.
- 21:19Speaker 6: You have voted and been a part of a party
- 21:21Speaker 6: that upholds, built, cultivated, and created these systems. Dare I
- 21:26Speaker 6: even say perfected them? Dare I even say perfected them?
- 21:31Speaker 6: And So to sit here and to say that our
- 21:34Speaker 6: political system is all of these things when you're in
- 21:36Speaker 6: it right now, when a lot of the people that
- 21:38Speaker 6: we see coming across our screens and creating the policy
- 21:41Speaker 6: have been there for decades. At the end of the day,
- 21:44Speaker 6: whether or not Trump is polished or not, because he's
- 21:47Speaker 6: been doing this for four years versus the person that's
- 21:49Speaker 6: been doing it for twenty one or before.
- 21:51Speaker 11: Y'all.
- 21:51Speaker 6: Oh no, reverse biten up out of there, who has
- 21:54Speaker 6: been doing it for multiple decades. They uphold all of it.
- 21:58Speaker 6: And your party in particular, has been one who has
- 22:03Speaker 6: created policies that have negatively impacted people that look.
- 22:06Speaker 4: Like me and you while sending that money overseas.
- 22:10Speaker 6: So I'm just trying to understand, if it's rooted in
- 22:12Speaker 6: white supremacy, then are you a white supremacist in black
- 22:15Speaker 6: face that's upholding these structures.
- 22:19Speaker 8: So again, you obviously don't know me and don't know
- 22:22Speaker 8: my record to even be.
- 22:23Speaker 4: Talking to peopulled the fire alarm.
- 22:24Speaker 6: You lost your election, and now you're sitting outside in
- 22:27Speaker 6: DC after having a couple of drinks at.
- 22:29Speaker 1: An event we were just at, i know, spending his
- 22:32Speaker 1: time with our lovely audience.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I'd say, at that, thank you absolutely.
- 22:36Speaker 8: And that's besides the point that last point you just said.
- 22:40Speaker 8: But anyway, the Republican and the Democratic Party have both
- 22:45Speaker 8: been complicit in supporting white supremacist ideology. So let's be
- 22:51Speaker 8: clear about that. In my opinion, the Democrats still have
- 22:56Speaker 8: done more to support working class people and marginal people
- 23:01Speaker 8: in our country. For example, we continue to support social Security,
- 23:06Speaker 8: we continue to support Medicare, we continue to support the
- 23:09Speaker 8: Department of Education and other federal offices that serve the
- 23:14Speaker 8: most marginalized people. I still want the party to go
- 23:18Speaker 8: further with issues like reparations, with issues like the George
- 23:22Speaker 8: Floyd Justice and Policing Act, and many other issues. So
- 23:27Speaker 8: just want to be clear about that. Republicans, in my opinion,
- 23:32Speaker 8: this modern day Republican partyment, I'm talking about a hundred
- 23:35Speaker 8: years ago, twenty years ago, talking about Monday Republican Party.
- 23:40Speaker 8: When I pulled that fire alarm, to use your example,
- 23:43Speaker 8: they tried to paint me as one of the insurrectionists
- 23:47Speaker 8: from January sixth. That was crazy. They have no policies
- 23:53Speaker 8: or very little that support the upliftment of our communities.
- 23:58Speaker 8: Whether it's affordable housing, whether it's childcare, whether it's paid lead,
- 24:02Speaker 8: whether it's entrepreneurship, whether it's reparations. None of that's party support,
- 24:10Speaker 8: and so the system has to change.
- 24:12Speaker 6: Oh gas like us right, don't talk about don't talk
- 24:19Speaker 6: about the things that you guys support when you know
- 24:21Speaker 6: that your party wasn't the one that created them.
- 24:23Speaker 4: Like, how dare you say that.
- 24:25Speaker 6: Republicans don't support small or minority businesses who cultivated wrote
- 24:30Speaker 6: the bill for the Small Business Administration to be an
- 24:33Speaker 6: administration for the AA program which provides those no bid
- 24:37Speaker 6: contracts for businesses like mine to be able to work
- 24:42Speaker 6: with the federal government in the way that we're able
- 24:44Speaker 6: to work with them. That was a Republican that wrote
- 24:47Speaker 6: that bill. There was a Republican that started the Small
- 24:49Speaker 6: Business Administration and the programs that are predicated from the
- 24:52Speaker 6: Small Business Administration once again founded by Republicans. So you
- 24:56Speaker 6: can't say that you're supporting these things when the inception
- 25:00Speaker 6: of those policies, the inception of Social Security and the
- 25:03Speaker 6: inception of all of these things were predicated by Republicans.
- 25:07Speaker 6: But what I will say is that both parties do
- 25:10Speaker 6: need to do a better job when it comes to
- 25:11Speaker 6: tending to the issues of black people and speaking to
- 25:14Speaker 6: issues of black people.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 25:16Speaker 6: The problem that we have here is only one of
- 25:18Speaker 6: those parties relies on the black community to stay in
- 25:21Speaker 6: positions of power for decades, only one of them. Only
- 25:24Speaker 6: one of those parties promises things every election year, year
- 25:28Speaker 6: after year, the exact same things, and produces absolutely no
- 25:32Speaker 6: policies for their communities. And I live in a very
- 25:34Speaker 6: blue city that was in a red state. I may
- 25:36Speaker 6: be in DC right now, but I understand how this works.
- 25:40Speaker 6: I used to also live in California when Kamala Harris
- 25:43Speaker 6: was my senator and she was also my Attorney general.
- 25:46Speaker 6: So I've lived under the rule of both Democrats and Republicans.
- 25:50Speaker 6: And what I will say and what I can say
- 25:52Speaker 6: is in some of the largest cities that are ran
- 25:55Speaker 6: by blue and I'm talking super majority, the entire council
- 25:58Speaker 6: is blue, the mayor is a Democrat. The areas that
- 26:02Speaker 6: we live in look the worst, and they rely on
- 26:06Speaker 6: us year after year to give them our vote. In
- 26:10Speaker 6: exchange for absolutely nothing. So at the end of the day,
- 26:13Speaker 6: if anybody else the Black community anything, whether that be policy,
- 26:16Speaker 6: whether that be reparations, it is definitely the party that
- 26:20Speaker 6: use our backs to get ahead.
- 26:22Speaker 2: You know.
- 26:23Speaker 1: One of the key points of it debate tonight was
- 26:25Speaker 1: around another policy, and it was.
- 26:27Speaker 2: The women's right to choose the topic of abortion. Okay, yeah,
- 26:32Speaker 2: we're gonna bring them.
- 26:32Speaker 1: I just want to I want to get both their takes, obviously,
- 26:35Speaker 1: because it's gonna be two different stances here.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Obviously, as a.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Woman, we saw former President Trump have false things about
- 26:41Speaker 1: Democrats wanted the execution of babies after birth, which I mean,
- 26:47Speaker 1: no state is that allowed. Then he also talked about
- 26:49Speaker 1: being a leader in IVF. Vice President Harris talked about
- 26:54Speaker 1: her support for roth we Wade. So I want to
- 26:56Speaker 1: know your thoughts about women's rights to choose as it
- 26:59Speaker 1: relates to this this election and women in general, specifically
- 27:03Speaker 1: Black women.
- 27:06Speaker 8: I mean, I'm gonna let your the other guests. I'm sorry,
- 27:09Speaker 8: I can't see her name on the screen. What's her name?
- 27:12Speaker 4: No, No, you can go ahead. I just had a
- 27:14Speaker 4: whole diet tribe. Go ahead. I'm very interested to hear
- 27:17Speaker 4: your thoughts.
- 27:18Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, I just wanted to quickly just you
- 27:21Speaker 8: mentioned a small business administration and one of the major problems.
- 27:27Speaker 4: Okay, we're going back.
- 27:28Speaker 8: No, No, I just need to respond to that.
- 27:32Speaker 4: I just want to make sure no.
- 27:34Speaker 8: You gave a whole dying tribe to you about. It's
- 27:39Speaker 8: a real champion for black people, and the number one
- 27:41Speaker 8: thing black people lack as it relates to entrepreneurship is capital,
- 27:46Speaker 8: which the Small Business Administration is supposed to provide. And
- 27:49Speaker 8: when I first got here, I couldn't believe brother brother,
- 27:53Speaker 8: brother Troy, how the Small Business Administration was funded and
- 27:57Speaker 8: like one two million dollars while we were sending three
- 28:00Speaker 8: point eight billion dollars overseas to support a country that
- 28:04Speaker 8: is one of the most fiscally responsible to financially wealthy
- 28:08Speaker 8: in the world. So we're not even funding the Small
- 28:12Speaker 8: Business Administration at the level we need to. So I
- 28:15Speaker 8: just want to make that point in terms of rod
- 28:17Speaker 8: v Way, the bottom line is it's not in the
- 28:20Speaker 8: federal government to tell a woman what to do with
- 28:22Speaker 8: her body.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Woman.
- 28:23Speaker 8: That's that choice between a woman and her doctor. Period.
- 28:27Speaker 8: All this shit that you know Trump talking about about,
- 28:30Speaker 8: you know, full term abortions. That's like assassinate the baby
- 28:36Speaker 8: as crazy.
- 28:37Speaker 4: Right.
- 28:38Speaker 8: What's lost in that is the issue of maternal mortality
- 28:42Speaker 8: or maternal morbidity and infantmortality that continues to play the
- 28:46Speaker 8: entire nation and continues to play Black women disproportionately. We're
- 28:50Speaker 8: not talking about healthcare as from a preventative perspective and
- 28:56Speaker 8: the instructive institutional racism system that presists that health care
- 29:01Speaker 8: we're not talking about that because we're talking about this
- 29:03Speaker 8: issue of abortion. And then Trump says, you know, wild
- 29:06Speaker 8: stuck and so you know, again, women could do whatever
- 29:10Speaker 8: they want to do with their body. That's not the
- 29:11Speaker 8: federal development of truth. We should support it. The healthcare system. Trump,
- 29:17Speaker 8: you know, is on the complete on the side of that.
- 29:18Speaker 8: Conservatives are as well, and it's just a dangerous, dangerous
- 29:22Speaker 8: president president not just for world we Wade, but for
- 29:26Speaker 8: the issue of civil rights that we have fought for,
- 29:30Speaker 8: the Voting Rights Act, Roe v. Wade, affirmative action, and
- 29:35Speaker 8: someone like Trump appointing Supreme Court justices who are then
- 29:39Speaker 8: taking out of Wade. So now it's like we're starting
- 29:42Speaker 8: to at square zero for things we fought for and
- 29:47Speaker 8: people have died for during the civil rights movement. So
- 29:51Speaker 8: it's all about are we continuing that we'll evolve as
- 29:54Speaker 8: a country towards a liberal democracy and true freedom for everyone?
- 30:00Speaker 8: Are we just going to allow conservative evangelical Zionists to
- 30:06Speaker 8: control what we do and how we think and how
- 30:08Speaker 8: we behave.
- 30:13Speaker 6: I guess this is my turn to There's so much
- 30:17Speaker 6: to say, and there's so much to unpack here. As
- 30:19Speaker 6: a black woman who has had a child, what I'm
- 30:23Speaker 6: not going to do is downplay infinite maternal mortality rates.
- 30:28Speaker 6: There's a very serious issue and a very serious problem.
- 30:31Speaker 6: But I'm also never going to tell a woman that
- 30:35Speaker 6: she should eradicate the life inside of her, specifically a
- 30:39Speaker 6: black woman.
- 30:40Speaker 4: I don't believe. And finish, I sat here so quiet.
- 30:47Speaker 6: I'm not very hold on, hold on, I was very
- 30:52Speaker 6: demure and very cute.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Did you just use the word thank you to clarify?
- 31:00Speaker 8: I allowed for.
- 31:01Speaker 6: Him to speak, so now allow for me to give
- 31:03Speaker 6: my thoughts. I'm not going to ever advocate for a
- 31:07Speaker 6: black woman to eradicate the life inside of her.
- 31:11Speaker 8: Now.
- 31:12Speaker 6: I am someone who is very much pro life, and
- 31:15Speaker 6: I do believe that it is within the black community,
- 31:19Speaker 6: it is within our nature to be pro life. My ancestors,
- 31:23Speaker 6: my family came over here and were imported on ships
- 31:26Speaker 6: with chains, made to work in the fields. I am
- 31:29Speaker 6: here because they chose life. So enduring rape, enduring slavery,
- 31:37Speaker 6: and all of the things that my ancestors had to
- 31:39Speaker 6: go through, they consistently still chose to have their children,
- 31:42Speaker 6: which is why we're able to be here today. And
- 31:45Speaker 6: so what I'm not going to do is have and
- 31:47Speaker 6: tell black women that whatever the circumstances of their life
- 31:52Speaker 6: are right now, that the life growing inside of them
- 31:55Speaker 6: does not matter. I am someone who was born drug
- 31:58Speaker 6: addicted with alcohol in her system. My mother was told
- 32:02Speaker 6: to abort me, and she chose to check into rehab
- 32:05Speaker 6: to have me.
- 32:05Speaker 4: And I'm here on this platform.
- 32:07Speaker 6: Tonight in front of all of these people because she
- 32:09Speaker 6: chose life. But what I think that Republicans need to
- 32:12Speaker 6: do is shift from being pro life into pro livelihood.
- 32:16Speaker 6: And being pro livelihood is what is the life of
- 32:20Speaker 6: that child going to be when it's here? What resources
- 32:23Speaker 6: do we have to support that mother? How are we
- 32:25Speaker 6: supporting adoption? I'm someone who's adopted. How are we supporting adoption?
- 32:29Speaker 6: How are we making it easy for these women to
- 32:32Speaker 6: take care of these children that we want them to have,
- 32:34Speaker 6: and I think that that's where policy and funds need
- 32:37Speaker 6: to flow and go. But telling black women that they
- 32:40Speaker 6: need to eradicate the lives inside of them, I don't
- 32:43Speaker 6: think that that's true. And I also think that we
- 32:45Speaker 6: should not be using abortion as an answer to some problems,
- 32:52Speaker 6: which are the fact that we are having casual sex,
- 32:55Speaker 6: and we're deciding to have casual sex, and there are
- 32:58Speaker 6: repercussions for every action, there's a reaction. So there is
- 33:01Speaker 6: a choice to lay down with that man, there's a
- 33:03Speaker 6: choice to have unprotected sex with that man. There's a
- 33:05Speaker 6: choice not to use Plan B, and then there's a
- 33:08Speaker 6: choice to terminate. And so if we're not helping women
- 33:11Speaker 6: to make better decisions before they get to the choice
- 33:14Speaker 6: to terminate, if they know that they are barely surviving
- 33:17Speaker 6: themselves and are looking for some type of relief, it's
- 33:20Speaker 6: not having an abortion. And I don't think that we
- 33:23Speaker 6: should be utilizing that as a method for poor decision
- 33:26Speaker 6: making skills. And I understand in case in cases of rape,
- 33:30Speaker 6: in cases of incests, in cases of life of the mother,
- 33:33Speaker 6: as Trump said tonight, but utilizing it as some type
- 33:36Speaker 6: of tool and saying that, well, it's your right that
- 33:38Speaker 6: you can kill the life insiety. I just don't believe
- 33:40Speaker 6: in that, and I don't believe that that's something that
- 33:43Speaker 6: we should be doing. But because it went from the
- 33:46Speaker 6: Dobbs decision back into the state's hands, what people can
- 33:49Speaker 6: do is decide who you're electing on a state level
- 33:54Speaker 6: that makes these decisions for your state. So nothing happened
- 33:57Speaker 6: after Dobbs was overturned in California.
- 34:00Speaker 4: All of the laws stayed the same.
- 34:01Speaker 6: You want to know why, because the people in California
- 34:03Speaker 6: place people in office to purport the laws that.
- 34:06Speaker 4: They wanted to see. If you don't like the abortion
- 34:09Speaker 4: laws in your.
- 34:09Speaker 6: State, then you need to get active on your local
- 34:12Speaker 6: level and start voting in these state house elections so
- 34:15Speaker 6: that you can change the policies on a state level.
- 34:18Speaker 6: And those elections are usually every four years or every
- 34:21Speaker 6: two years.
- 34:22Speaker 5: So let's bring up Congressman Bowman. We thank you for
- 34:26Speaker 5: your time. We're gonna sub you out. We're going to
- 34:28Speaker 5: sub you out on this trying Tad god Man one quick.
- 34:34Speaker 8: Thirty seconds, and thank you for everything you just said.
- 34:37Speaker 8: And I agree it needs to be a continuing conversation,
- 34:40Speaker 8: particularly in the black community in particular. Absolutely, But when
- 34:45Speaker 8: you talk about livelihood, I agree with that as well.
- 34:50Speaker 8: But understand from my experience and I think from evidence,
- 34:54Speaker 8: Republicans don't care about their livelihood. Man. They haven't shown
- 35:00Speaker 8: instinct engagement and caring about Black women in this country,
- 35:04Speaker 8: women in this country, the Department of Education, which is
- 35:08Speaker 8: critical funding, the small business administration, or reparations or any
- 35:14Speaker 8: of that. They don't care about lobblihoods. They care about
- 35:18Speaker 8: rhetoric and sensationalism and their own power, particularly continuing white
- 35:23Speaker 8: supremacy through tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans and so.
- 35:27Speaker 8: But the other stuff that you were talking about about
- 35:30Speaker 8: continued conversations about what's happening in our communities that leads
- 35:35Speaker 8: to poor decisions. I'm with you on that one hundred percent.
- 35:39Speaker 8: Let's let's continue to talk about that. And Brothers, thank
- 35:42Speaker 8: you so much for having me on Man, good to
- 35:44Speaker 8: see you.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Appreciate you always, Man, appreciate you always.
- 35:48Speaker 4: Well, that's a parting word for Congressman Bowman.
- 35:50Speaker 6: What I would say, since he seems to be a
- 35:52Speaker 6: big advocate and proponent of reparations, is for him to
- 35:55Speaker 6: go ahead and give Gavin Newsom a call and have
- 35:58Speaker 6: that reparations build that Democrats are keeping from being heard
- 36:01Speaker 6: in California, go ahead and allow that to be heard,
- 36:04Speaker 6: and utilize his position of power within Congress and the
- 36:08Speaker 6: bullypool pit that he has to advocate for reparations movements
- 36:12Speaker 6: such as what's happening in Chicago that is being currently
- 36:15Speaker 6: blocked by his own party that is apparently upholding white
- 36:18Speaker 6: supremacy as well.
- 36:19Speaker 2: I think he's still told, yeah, we gotta let him go.
- 36:21Speaker 2: We got it.
- 36:23Speaker 8: All right.
- 36:24Speaker 5: We got Michael Blake, former assemblyman and vice chair of
- 36:30Speaker 5: the Democratic you were formerly the vice chair of the
- 36:34Speaker 5: Democratic National Committee.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Right, and also.
- 36:38Speaker 5: Also Obama Obama staffer. Thank you for joining us.
- 36:44Speaker 11: Always good to be with y'all, whether it be at
- 36:46Speaker 11: Carnegie Hall all on. I g we're gonna make it
- 36:48Speaker 11: all happen out.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Here for sure, to make it happen.
- 36:51Speaker 5: So yeah, you uh, you tagged out Jamal Bowman very
- 36:56Speaker 5: spirited debate that he was having. So we've been talking
- 37:00Speaker 5: about this, this debate situation, right, and it's a few
- 37:05Speaker 5: topics that we have not talked about. One of the
- 37:08Speaker 5: main topics that Trump kept bringing up you, but yeah,
- 37:13Speaker 5: just leave it like that was immigration. This He's been
- 37:18Speaker 5: hitting this topic hard and hard and hard, and some
- 37:22Speaker 5: say that it's fear mongering, right, and he's trying to
- 37:26Speaker 5: pin people against each other, vulnerable populations against each other
- 37:32Speaker 5: when he talks about black jobs and Latino jobs being
- 37:35Speaker 5: taken by immigrants from Venezuela and.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Stuff like that.
- 37:38Speaker 5: So okay, he says that Kamala Harris is the worst
- 37:44Speaker 5: vice president of American history, and she's done a terrible
- 37:46Speaker 5: job at the border. The borders are So what is
- 37:50Speaker 5: your stance as far as immigration? Even in New York
- 37:54Speaker 5: City has been a major issue for Maar Adams? So
- 37:57Speaker 5: what is your stance as far as the immigration issue
- 38:00Speaker 5: in America right now? And how do Democrats have approached it.
- 38:04Speaker 10: I appreciate you and appreciate y'all giving the space I'm
- 38:07Speaker 10: an addressed immigration right now, and also some of the
- 38:09Speaker 10: things I heard earlier. So let's start from the place
- 38:12Speaker 10: of on the conversation around immigration. If you want to
- 38:16Speaker 10: assess Donald Trump as a failure, his fundamental policy proposal
- 38:21Speaker 10: that he ran on was to build a walk. So
- 38:25Speaker 10: whenever we hear this racist, sexist foolishness from him, we
- 38:29Speaker 10: should be very clear that the fundamental thing he said
- 38:33Speaker 10: he would get done when he talked about Mexican any
- 38:35Speaker 10: rapists and all these other things, was that he would
- 38:37Speaker 10: build a walk didn't happen. The rhetoric right now around
- 38:41Speaker 10: immigration that he's trying to highlight is a framing of
- 38:45Speaker 10: what that our cities are getting worse, even though everything
- 38:49Speaker 10: from an economic standpoint, in terms of growth, in terms
- 38:52Speaker 10: of cost of living, in terms of what's happening in
- 38:55Speaker 10: your pockets that actually gotten better. Now the feeling someone
- 38:58Speaker 10: may have, you can picture your face all you want,
- 39:01Speaker 10: I heard the point about SBA. Actually, just for a
- 39:04Speaker 10: point of fact, there were several things of a state
- 39:05Speaker 10: that were utterly incorrect. I random minority I Rand, the
- 39:08Speaker 10: Minority Business program at the White House said earlier around dynamic,
- 39:11Speaker 10: there's a difference between minority.
- 39:12Speaker 11: Business and small business.
- 39:14Speaker 10: We talk about the actual dynamics in Twina around immigration.
- 39:17Speaker 10: The Minority Business Development Agency under President and bidened by
- 39:20Speaker 10: President Harris actually became an under secretary. That did not
- 39:22Speaker 10: happen under Trump. That's equally tied to the immigration conversation.
- 39:25Speaker 10: Because we talk about jobs and the opportunities that are
- 39:28Speaker 10: created by all this. We have better growth in our
- 39:31Speaker 10: communities by actually helping our immigrant brothers and sisters continue.
- 39:38Speaker 11: To get acts keep.
- 39:39Speaker 10: I'm not even sure what the well I heard something
- 39:42Speaker 10: about the moor earlier. I'm not sure if that's actually
- 39:44Speaker 10: the case, because maybe you're not liking what I'm saying.
- 39:45Speaker 10: So let's be very clear about the data. The data
- 39:49Speaker 10: actually to the immigration question is how are we making
- 39:54Speaker 10: this a policy substance of conversation rather than the rhetoric
- 39:59Speaker 10: two off? Then it is being utilized by trying to
- 40:01Speaker 10: say that the Latino community is heard in black folk
- 40:05Speaker 10: and so white folk should be scared. Well, as a
- 40:07Speaker 10: Jamaican American, I should care about immigration, we should care
- 40:10Speaker 10: about these dynamics here, which we do.
- 40:13Speaker 11: But well, well you cut, here's all you want. All
- 40:16Speaker 11: we've heard, We've we've heard.
- 40:17Speaker 10: All your talking points, so that we have not really
- 40:21Speaker 10: talked through is that the vice presidential pick on their side,
- 40:26Speaker 10: which Trump actually said in the debate that he doesn't
- 40:28Speaker 10: talk to you about policies such as abortion and healthcare,
- 40:31Speaker 10: was the one talking about Haitians. So so from a
- 40:34Speaker 10: standpoint around the substance on immigration, where again immigrant communities
- 40:40Speaker 10: are actually making more money under this president, the previous president.
- 40:44Speaker 10: We are alive now again, I'm not I'm not even
- 40:47Speaker 10: gonna get caught up in it because because they can't
- 40:49Speaker 10: go back on actual substance between the two presidencies, or
- 40:52Speaker 10: we talk through from a dynamic of health and wellness
- 40:56Speaker 10: from a COVID pandemic, which he took no credit around
- 40:59Speaker 10: addressing the dynamics.
- 41:01Speaker 11: It was immigrant.
- 41:02Speaker 10: Communities that were a negative bla impact. Now to your question,
- 41:04Speaker 10: moving forward to the brothers here, where we go from
- 41:06Speaker 10: here In terms of the policies itself, I would rather
- 41:12Speaker 10: have someone who is actually saying, let's safely and securely
- 41:17Speaker 10: address what's going on the border, not about just trying
- 41:20Speaker 10: to build a wall, which is not realistic in this degree,
- 41:24Speaker 10: while also finding ways to address what's going on in
- 41:27Speaker 10: other countries from a democracy standpoint, which Trump is not
- 41:30Speaker 10: doing when it comes to Venezuela and other places, as
- 41:32Speaker 10: well as the fundamental economic conditions a wht of people
- 41:35Speaker 10: are coming here in the first place, So all these
- 41:37Speaker 10: things are intertwined to the question. And at the end
- 41:40Speaker 10: of the day, when we talk about the economics, whether
- 41:42Speaker 10: it be internationally or domestically, we have one person who
- 41:46Speaker 10: actually laid out an opportunity economy that would benefit immigrant
- 41:49Speaker 10: communities as opposed to the other who is actually trying
- 41:52Speaker 10: to push people away. Lastly, to an immigration conversation which
- 41:55Speaker 10: they find all these different dynamics. As a reverend, when
- 41:59Speaker 10: I hear earlier that these communities, in particular black women
- 42:04Speaker 10: need to have responsible decisions and choices, as if they're
- 42:08Speaker 10: just being careless and just sleeping around, the notion of
- 42:11Speaker 10: that is intertwined.
- 42:13Speaker 11: Well, actually that was what we were just saying.
- 42:14Speaker 10: Was said that they should make better decisions Friday.
- 42:18Speaker 8: It's not.
- 42:22Speaker 2: That that might is over and so agreed. That's a
- 42:36Speaker 2: Memphis thing.
- 42:37Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Oh, they froze them up. They froze them up.
- 42:42Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I'll add to that.
- 42:46Speaker 2: Because of the immigration point.
- 42:48Speaker 1: When when former President Trump was talking about the numbers
- 42:51Speaker 1: of migrants entering the country, he said it was over
- 42:53Speaker 1: twenty million. I'll let uh I represent Blake speaking a second,
- 42:58Speaker 1: he said the number was twenty million.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Oficle came back.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Obviously in fact checked and said that the number was
- 43:02Speaker 1: grossly over exaggerated.
- 43:03Speaker 2: About half. That still an issue.
- 43:06Speaker 1: But Vice President Harris also said that there was a
- 43:09Speaker 1: bipartisan group of senators that introduced a border security bill
- 43:12Speaker 1: that Trump urged to demise. So, in a sense, you're
- 43:17Speaker 1: talking about immigration and how to combat it, but when
- 43:20Speaker 1: the bills comes you don't want it to pass.
- 43:23Speaker 2: What's your thoughts in rebuttal to that, I have a
- 43:26Speaker 2: lot to say.
- 43:28Speaker 4: I believe is it Blake? Is that his name?
- 43:30Speaker 3: Yesel like I am okay.
- 43:37Speaker 6: I'm going to frame my answer based upon our different experiences.
- 43:42Speaker 6: As soon as you said that you were a Jamaican American,
- 43:45Speaker 6: it immediately let me know your relationship to this country.
- 43:50Speaker 6: And so because your relationship to this country is that
- 43:53Speaker 6: you were an immigrant and your family wasn't imported through
- 43:56Speaker 6: the slave trade, I understand that you're not a.
- 43:59Speaker 10: Decision true, it's not true. Let's just let's just stop there.
- 44:02Speaker 10: Don't say anything about my family. I was born in
- 44:04Speaker 10: the Bronx. You're about to see some again, but again.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Making American born abron Let's keep it.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Let's keep born in the Bronx.
- 44:27Speaker 6: He is a Jamaican American. I didn't state that I'm
- 44:30Speaker 6: not a Jamaican nothing. I am a freeman. I'm descendant.
- 44:33Speaker 6: I'm a descendant of chattel slavery. Me with the Jenney
- 44:36Speaker 6: Gates my family, there is no Jamaica, there is no
- 44:39Speaker 6: Caribbean for me to go back to. So his proclivity
- 44:42Speaker 6: and how he sees this country, it's going to be
- 44:45Speaker 6: completely different than.
- 44:46Speaker 4: Someone who was a descendant of chattel slavery.
- 44:49Speaker 6: Completely different. So of course he wants more immigrants here.
- 44:54Speaker 6: Of course, immigration, specifically illegal immigration.
- 44:59Speaker 4: To him, as he's it is a sign of growth.
- 45:02Speaker 6: Of course, he believes that we should be utilizing our
- 45:05Speaker 6: tax dollars, in our resources to support people who've come
- 45:08Speaker 6: over here, who've broken the law to be in this country,
- 45:12Speaker 6: because it benefits his family, it benefits the story.
- 45:15Speaker 11: Yo, yo yo. You can have a policy conversation.
- 45:19Speaker 10: I'm gonna say this again again, it's the third it's
- 45:23Speaker 10: the third time. If comments have referenced my family.
- 45:27Speaker 11: I just want to be real clear. You can have
- 45:29Speaker 11: any policy comments.
- 45:34Speaker 4: I'm saying American.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Out of it.
- 45:40Speaker 6: You're going to talk about his lineage, which is making American,
- 45:42Speaker 6: which is what.
- 45:44Speaker 11: But you're literally afraid you've really literally.
- 45:46Speaker 10: A phraised about crime and illegal and that I supported
- 45:50Speaker 10: a legal immigration because what family like. Just again, if
- 45:54Speaker 10: you want to talk about.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Policies, let's just keep it. Let's just keep it power.
- 46:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I haven't even gotten to crime yet.
- 46:03Speaker 6: I'm talking about illegal immigration and utilizing our tax dollars
- 46:08Speaker 6: and our resources to fund and support illegal immigrants. I'm
- 46:13Speaker 6: not talking about people who came here with papers. I'm
- 46:16Speaker 6: talking about illegal immigrants eleven million that have crossed eleven
- 46:20Speaker 6: million accounting that have crossed the border since Biden and Harris,
- 46:24Speaker 6: and since Harris has been.
- 46:25Speaker 4: The borders are has taken over.
- 46:27Speaker 6: I'm talking about the resources of tax dollars that have
- 46:30Speaker 6: gone from American citizens to support their housing, to support
- 46:35Speaker 6: getting them food. I do not believe that we, as Americans,
- 46:39Speaker 6: specifically black Americans that are descendants of slavery, should have
- 46:45Speaker 6: our tax dollars utilized for illegal immigrants that have come
- 46:49Speaker 6: to this country without going through the proper immigration process
- 46:53Speaker 6: that we have currently in order and get our money
- 46:58Speaker 6: and get funded and get.
- 46:59Speaker 4: Nine and plus dollars in Chicago.
- 47:01Speaker 6: For rent, and be able to get more money in
- 47:05Speaker 6: food stamps since Snap and tan if in all of
- 47:07Speaker 6: these benefits, and be able to utilize our tax dollars
- 47:11Speaker 6: to get free legal service that's happening right in Indianapolis,
- 47:14Speaker 6: in my own city.
- 47:16Speaker 4: Absolutely not.
- 47:17Speaker 6: I think it is one the first step to making
- 47:21Speaker 6: America not a sovereign nation is to bust open our
- 47:24Speaker 6: borders like a bag of chips. I think that that
- 47:26Speaker 6: is completely wrong too. I think it's also completely wrong
- 47:31Speaker 6: for us to basically and this is what it feels like.
- 47:34Speaker 4: And whether or not you say this is what it is.
- 47:37Speaker 6: It feels like you're abandoning the citizens and supporting the
- 47:40Speaker 6: illegal immigrants.
- 47:44Speaker 4: Why let me drive people who have been waiting.
- 47:49Speaker 6: On lists for them to open up the Section eight
- 47:54Speaker 6: voucher program, the Housing Choice voucher program. There are people
- 47:57Speaker 6: who have been waiting years on list, people.
- 48:00Speaker 4: That look like me and you.
- 48:02Speaker 6: However, illegal immigrants are getting upwards of nine thousand dollars
- 48:07Speaker 6: in housing stipens in Chicago to pay like. This is
- 48:10Speaker 6: not okay and it's not right. And the problem that
- 48:14Speaker 6: we have, and the problem I have with the Biden
- 48:16Speaker 6: Harris administration and the problem I have with their policies,
- 48:20Speaker 6: is that when they got into office, specifically Biden, he
- 48:23Speaker 6: started repealing the remain in Mexico policies that Trump had
- 48:27Speaker 6: put in place. He stopped construction on the border wall
- 48:30Speaker 6: that was being constructed.
- 48:32Speaker 4: They stopped construction.
- 48:33Speaker 6: On the border wall, and they basically reversed a lot
- 48:36Speaker 6: of the immigration policies that Trump put in place on purpose.
- 48:41Speaker 6: Then our borders got busted open like a bag of chips, right,
- 48:46Speaker 6: illegal immigrants jumping across daily, bringing drugs, committing crimes in
- 48:51Speaker 6: this country, which this is proven facts that this is happening.
- 48:56Speaker 6: You have gangs taking over apartment complexes in Colorado, and
- 49:00Speaker 6: so you have failed policy from a federal level, and
- 49:04Speaker 6: then you have sanctuary cities, which has failed policy from
- 49:06Speaker 6: a city level, and it's compounding. And then you have
- 49:09Speaker 6: a group of people, black people in the black community
- 49:12Speaker 6: who have been screaming for decades that we need resources
- 49:15Speaker 6: in our community, and we're watching resources go out of
- 49:18Speaker 6: our community. We're talking about we need to fix our
- 49:21Speaker 6: schools because they're bad, and they're shutting the schools down
- 49:23Speaker 6: and they're housing migrants in the schools. If the fact
- 49:26Speaker 6: that you even think that all of this leads to
- 49:29Speaker 6: growth is asinine to me. What I think needs to
- 49:32Speaker 6: happen and what I think did not happen. And the
- 49:34Speaker 6: reason it didn't happen is because they waited three years
- 49:38Speaker 6: until the polls came out about how bad that border was,
- 49:41Speaker 6: and then they wanted to institute they being Biden Harris
- 49:45Speaker 6: wanted to institute a policy to remain in Mexico, and
- 49:48Speaker 6: then they in an election, Ye're wanted to create a
- 49:51Speaker 6: piece of legislation to say, oh, yeah, I guess we
- 49:53Speaker 6: do need to fund the border. After Kamala says, you
- 49:56Speaker 6: wanted to give medicaid and medic free health care to
- 49:59Speaker 6: all the imigrants.
- 50:00Speaker 4: We don't even have enough for the American citizens.
- 50:03Speaker 6: How you won't give it to people who are even
- 50:05Speaker 6: from here, who haven't been paying into our system. I
- 50:07Speaker 6: think the entire thing is asked tonight, and I think
- 50:09Speaker 6: it's neglectful to American citizens if you do it.
- 50:15Speaker 11: Are we gonna are we gonna fact We're gonna fact check.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna give it to you. I promise.
- 50:22Speaker 1: I'm glad you have the floor in terms of the
- 50:24Speaker 1: fact check that he actually brought up there grower Colorado
- 50:29Speaker 1: situation with Venezuelan gangs that has been disputed and come
- 50:32Speaker 1: to be false. That's been I'll tell you, I'm not
- 50:36Speaker 1: saying that. I'm not saying that, I under saying what
- 50:39Speaker 1: was brought up political just put out the fact check
- 50:41Speaker 1: sheet and that was one of.
- 50:42Speaker 4: The things Colorado, the mayor of Aura Colony mean, not
- 50:46Speaker 4: mean federal policy.
- 50:48Speaker 2: Not me.
- 50:48Speaker 1: I'm just saying when he brought it up, it came
- 50:50Speaker 1: up on the political fact she as one of those things.
- 50:52Speaker 2: But Shoty, I'm giving you Flora. Let's reset the reset
- 50:54Speaker 2: the room, My brothers.
- 50:55Speaker 5: Reset the room. We do have five thousand people on
- 50:57Speaker 5: the lit share. This is a very spirited conversation.
- 51:03Speaker 2: Okay.
- 51:03Speaker 5: I have a feeling that, mister Blake, you want to
- 51:07Speaker 5: re butt some of the things that you just said.
- 51:09Speaker 10: Well, let's just do a quick black history lesson here.
- 51:15Speaker 10: The fact of saying that Jamaica the Caribbean is not
- 51:17Speaker 10: connected to slavery. You might have forgotten.
- 51:22Speaker 6: Well, I never said that they're not connected to slavery.
- 51:25Speaker 6: Their boat dropped them off at a different location.
- 51:28Speaker 10: That's not what But no, no, no, but again again,
- 51:30Speaker 10: again again again again, You're you're you're the we don't
- 51:33Speaker 10: want to lineage. I thought we didn't want to talk
- 51:35Speaker 10: about you know, I know you.
- 51:39Speaker 11: I know that you are a.
- 51:42Speaker 10: Trump surrogate or even Trump appointee or campaign whatever it
- 51:46Speaker 10: may be. But you can't ignore on campaign the facts.
- 51:51Speaker 10: You can't ignore the facts that you this is rhetoric.
- 52:01Speaker 11: No, I'm actually trying to make sure. I'm reminding myself.
- 52:03Speaker 11: I'm a referend one.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Well man, he keeps seeing.
- 52:09Speaker 4: This is the Democrats don't be prepared for nothing.
- 52:14Speaker 11: Internet.
- 52:16Speaker 4: Trump was bringing broadband.
- 52:20Speaker 2: Blake.
- 52:22Speaker 3: You're chopping it out.
- 52:24Speaker 10: It's it's it's it's stopped. It stopped to your previous
- 52:28Speaker 10: point in respect to the Brothers. It stopped previously because
- 52:31Speaker 10: I wanted the pause to make sure I was intentional
- 52:33Speaker 10: what I said there.
- 52:36Speaker 11: To the point around immigration, the rhetoric is that the.
- 52:48Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, got all right, very interesting.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm not sure if you're getting yeah, your
- 52:58Speaker 1: your connection is getting interrupted. I'm not sure if there's
- 53:02Speaker 1: a stronger WiFi, or maybe there might be messages coming in.
- 53:05Speaker 2: I know, after the debate, I'm sure your phone is
- 53:07Speaker 2: going crazy. It looks clear. Now you want to try again, Yeah.
- 53:11Speaker 10: Just simply they don't have a real plan. It's just
- 53:16Speaker 10: lies and nonsense. So we should go to other things
- 53:19Speaker 10: y'all want to talk through, because all they want to
- 53:21Speaker 10: do is make sure and make you think that black
- 53:23Speaker 10: people and let you know people and white folks don't
- 53:25Speaker 10: want to get along on immigration, all.
- 53:28Speaker 1: Right, So I mean you came in. I'm interested in
- 53:32Speaker 1: that ninety minute debate after it's done. Your initial reaction
- 53:37Speaker 1: to it was what, as far as Vice President Harris,
- 53:40Speaker 1: how she conducted herself, how former President Trump, how you
- 53:42Speaker 1: handled himself. We talked about the word on his prior
- 53:45Speaker 1: to you coming on. What were your thoughts overall about
- 53:48Speaker 1: the debate from the Democratic side, and I guess I'll
- 53:50Speaker 1: hear from the opposing side as well.
- 53:53Speaker 10: She laid out how people can make more money, keep
- 53:57Speaker 10: more money, and do better. He never took a responsibility
- 54:01Speaker 10: for January sixth, for the COVID pandemic or anything that
- 54:05Speaker 10: was hurting our communities.
- 54:07Speaker 11: She made it very.
- 54:08Speaker 10: Clear that we should give anyone the ability to make
- 54:12Speaker 10: a choice when it comes to pro choice.
- 54:17Speaker 11: He would not actually answer the question.
- 54:19Speaker 10: When asked twice about beating an abortion band, she said
- 54:25Speaker 10: small businesses should have fifty thousand dollars.
- 54:27Speaker 11: Of the deductions.
- 54:30Speaker 10: He literally said that while running for a third time president.
- 54:33Speaker 10: He doesn't have a plan for health care. So we
- 54:37Speaker 10: can remove the rhetoric and the talking points and the feelings.
- 54:42Speaker 10: If you want to do better, live longer, make more money,
- 54:45Speaker 10: have a chance to actually grow and win, you had
- 54:48Speaker 10: someone who laid out a vision for that, and Vice
- 54:50Speaker 10: President Harris on the other side as a black man,
- 54:57Speaker 10: Donald Trump, who was sued because they want to let
- 55:02Speaker 10: black and brown people get access to housing, who called
- 55:05Speaker 10: for the death penalty to Central Park five, who said
- 55:08Speaker 10: that we come from shithold countries and that these black
- 55:11Speaker 10: jobs and Hispanic jobs are low wage jobs. Still can't
- 55:16Speaker 10: tell you at all how you specifically will do better.
- 55:22Speaker 10: He spent more time talking about people eating pats than
- 55:29Speaker 10: how you actually get a job. So we talk about
- 55:33Speaker 10: the debate and making it real clear for folks their strategy,
- 55:39Speaker 10: his strategy is not about trying to help more people
- 55:43Speaker 10: to do better, is that they believe that black and
- 55:47Speaker 10: brown folks will not show up to vote, that they're
- 55:50Speaker 10: not going to be engaged, and we're not going to
- 55:51Speaker 10: be engaged. Because he had no game plan. I mean,
- 55:54Speaker 10: in what world what business plan would you ever be
- 55:57Speaker 10: in a conversation where someone actually as you, do you
- 56:01Speaker 10: have a plan? And your answer was no, I have
- 56:03Speaker 10: concepts on something like healthcare. And so to your question,
- 56:09Speaker 10: it was clear. It was obvious. And that's the reason
- 56:12Speaker 10: why we keep talking about the Cairos. This is our
- 56:14Speaker 10: moment to make it very plain and simple that his
- 56:21Speaker 10: disdain for us, which has been consistent for decades, not
- 56:27Speaker 10: just an election. It's not me saying it. It's him
- 56:31Speaker 10: who said twice about African American black and Hispanic jobs
- 56:35Speaker 10: being low wage jobs. It's him who said that he
- 56:39Speaker 10: would not give you an answer about an abortion band
- 56:42Speaker 10: and the vetoing of it and the rhetoric that is
- 56:45Speaker 10: about pro life. It's not pro life pro choice by itself,
- 56:47Speaker 10: it's do you have a choice? Are you saying to
- 56:51Speaker 10: someone about them having a choice. It's the reason from
- 56:56Speaker 10: a data perspective to bring this home. It is the
- 56:59Speaker 10: largest gap when it comes to choice between two candidates
- 57:04Speaker 10: on record ever, because it's not just Democratic women that
- 57:09Speaker 10: are feeling this, it's Republican independent women who are just like, oh,
- 57:12Speaker 10: hell now, we ain't trying to do this.
- 57:14Speaker 11: And so for the next fifty five days.
- 57:18Speaker 10: You can ask yourself, everybody, you're a vice president who
- 57:21Speaker 10: was at the Capitol when an insurrection was called on
- 57:24Speaker 10: the Capitol where he would not directly say, would you
- 57:28Speaker 10: actually accept the results if this occurred again and tell
- 57:31Speaker 10: people to be actually truly peaceful.
- 57:35Speaker 11: So at the end of the day, to your question. Yeah,
- 57:39Speaker 11: you know i'd landed.
- 57:40Speaker 10: I got delayed in itself, So yeah, the internet could
- 57:42Speaker 10: try to slow you down, but God will slow it down.
- 57:44Speaker 11: We're gonna be able to rock here. I've heard the
- 57:47Speaker 11: points for black folk. Our choice is either.
- 57:53Speaker 10: Someone who's actually trying to help us to grow into
- 57:56Speaker 10: win or someone who has literally tried to call for
- 58:01Speaker 10: us to be killed.
- 58:05Speaker 3: Okay, rebuttal, let's just talk about it.
- 58:11Speaker 4: Let's talk about Kamala Harris.
- 58:12Speaker 6: Why not Kamala Harris after they bounced Joe Biden and
- 58:17Speaker 6: hit the UNO reverse once they realized he wasn't going
- 58:19Speaker 6: to be able to beat Donald Trump, and they removed
- 58:21Speaker 6: him as their candidate. Kind of like how Jamal Bowman
- 58:24Speaker 6: was here and now you're here. So I've gone up
- 58:26Speaker 6: against two people tonight. It seems to happen a lot
- 58:28Speaker 6: to Republicans. But the truth of the matter is when
- 58:31Speaker 6: Kamala Harris was the district attorney and when she was
- 58:34Speaker 6: the Attorney General, she was not a friend to our community.
- 58:37Speaker 6: When I say not a friend, she created policies that
- 58:39Speaker 6: are still in place today and helped to champion and
- 58:43Speaker 6: advocate for policies that locked up people that looked like us,
- 58:46Speaker 6: and that kept us in chains and in prison when
- 58:49Speaker 6: we were supposed to be out. Kamala Harris wrote a
- 58:52Speaker 6: book when she was a prosecutor, and she said that
- 58:56Speaker 6: the more police in a community, the safer the community
- 59:00Speaker 6: is going to be. That the visualization of police presence
- 59:04Speaker 6: in that community is what is going to keep you safe. Now,
- 59:07Speaker 6: she said that when she was a prosecutor, but then
- 59:09Speaker 6: when she ran for president in twenty twenty, she wanted
- 59:13Speaker 6: to defund the police. Then she says she didn't want
- 59:15Speaker 6: to defund the police, and now she says that she
- 59:18Speaker 6: supports the police. The truth is that she's a flip
- 59:21Speaker 6: flopper and she will say whatever is politically profitable.
- 59:26Speaker 4: For her to win.
- 59:27Speaker 6: That's what she's always done, which is why on twenty
- 59:30Speaker 6: one different issues she's flip flopped back and forth. The
- 59:33Speaker 6: truth is, it doesn't really matter what Kamala thinks. She's
- 59:36Speaker 6: a symbol with no substance, a symbol of a black woman, allegedly,
- 59:43Speaker 6: sometimes black first, sometimes Indian first. It depends on which
- 59:46Speaker 6: audience is going to it's going to play better to right.
- 59:49Speaker 6: She'll do whatever is politically possible to stay.
- 59:53Speaker 2: In Aisle, Yo, I'm not sure if that's fair.
- 59:56Speaker 8: Yo, what I mean?
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean give give let's American brother, No, no, no,
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: let's let's let's just give to that.
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: Why y'all interrupt me because you didn't like what I said.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: I didn't like what you said. I just want to
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: know the truth of what you said.
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: It's actual that when that when she ran for office?
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: Was she not considered the first Indian American? Was that
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: not the headline?
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: Google it?
- 1:00:31Speaker 11: Google it actually wasn't it Actually wasn't. Actually wasn't.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: I was.
- 1:00:36Speaker 8: I was.
- 1:00:38Speaker 11: Just asked the question.
- 1:00:40Speaker 8: No, I'm just.
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: Harris first Black v P.
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: Whicheverone plays better to the audience is what she will
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: be just saying, I'm I'm not good up saying every time.
- 1:01:01Speaker 6: If they lead with Indian and she negates or doesn't
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: add black, then that's on her. If they lead with
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: black and she doesn't add Indian, then that is too
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: on her. If her identity and the dimensionality of who
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: she is is intersectional at many different places, Black, Jamaican, Indian, whatever, Asian,
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: whatever it is that she wants to be, she should
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: lead with that each and every time, and it shouldn't
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: be a question and The reason why the black community
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: in particular feels this kind of way because these conversations
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: are happening, is because of the way in which she's led.
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: She will say whatever and do whatever is politically profitable.
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: And the truth is, she is.
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: The second most powerful person in the United States of America.
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: If Joe Biden slipped and fell, which he tends to
- 1:01:48Speaker 6: do quite often, she becomes president and commander in chief.
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: That's the truth. And she's been in the White House
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: for three and a half years, and what they've done
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: while they were there is create chaos. And I'm not
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: even just talking about chaos on our home front. I'm
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: talking about chaos abroad. We've had weak foreign affairs. We
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: have a weak economy. They're fudging their job numbers. Oh,
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: eight hundred and sixteen jobs, a thousand jobs off like
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: they're fudging their job numbers. They're withholding stories from the
- 1:02:18Speaker 6: media and controlling their own narratives. They're telling us that
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: he's cognizant and he's the guy to take us all
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: the way.
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: And then aged allegedly allegedly they're fudging job numbers.
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: We know there was a mistake. They corrected it well.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: The way you said, it was like, it's.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: We don't know what their intentionality is.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: So then we got if we don't know, then we
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: got to say.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: What their intentionality is?
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: We know.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: Should we be having those types of mistakes? Is the
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: question that you have to ask your We.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: See corporation, You see corporations do it all the time.
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: What you are so, so then our federal government should
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: do it? Is that what you're saying.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: No, I'm not saying that. That's why.
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: It's sure that that's not where you were.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: No, we're saying alleged is.
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: What we're saying, should be able who trust our federal government.
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: We should be able to trust the agencies. We should
- 1:03:04Speaker 6: be able to have a faith in them that they
- 1:03:06Speaker 6: are going to take care of their citizens. We should
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: have a trust in them that they're going to utilize
- 1:03:11Speaker 6: the tax dollars that we give them in an efficient way.
- 1:03:14Speaker 6: Like those are things that we should just trust from
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: our legislative and our executive branches. And the truth is
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: that we can't trust them because career politicians like Joe Biden,
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: career politicians like Kamala Harris, who have been in many
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: positions of powers at every single level for years and
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: years and years promise to do all of these things
- 1:03:34Speaker 6: all the time, and they do absolutely nothing. So if
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: you feel your life is better off under Biden, if
- 1:03:39Speaker 6: your pockets are fatter, if your business is doing well,
- 1:03:42Speaker 6: if you got money to take your trips, and you
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: don't have an issue with inflation, you don't have an
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: issue with gas prices, you don't have an issue with
- 1:03:49Speaker 6: all of this money that we're utilizing to fund other
- 1:03:52Speaker 6: wars and fund immigrants, then that's fine.
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: About for her.
- 1:03:55Speaker 6: We're gonna get a whole bunch of what we've always gotten,
- 1:03:57Speaker 6: which is absolutely nothing.
- 1:04:00Speaker 10: We realize the reason why he's former President Trump is
- 1:04:05Speaker 10: that the American people thought that he was such a
- 1:04:07Speaker 10: disaster in running the government. So the notion of well,
- 1:04:12Speaker 10: the trust of the government and the services was because
- 1:04:16Speaker 10: of how poorly he ran the COVID pandemic to that
- 1:04:20Speaker 10: complete degree.
- 1:04:21Speaker 11: And so so.
- 1:04:23Speaker 10: So I am, I am grateful that it has been
- 1:04:28Speaker 10: said out loud that yes, when it comes to who
- 1:04:31Speaker 10: do you trust for your government, he lost because Americans
- 1:04:36Speaker 10: don't trust him with the government. He is losing right
- 1:04:39Speaker 10: now because Americans don't trust him on the government. The
- 1:04:42Speaker 10: polls if the election were today in the battle around states,
- 1:04:45Speaker 10: she is ahead in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania. Those three alone
- 1:04:48Speaker 10: giver two seventy so to the degree what was said,
- 1:04:50Speaker 10: I am so happy that you just said it out loud.
- 1:04:54Speaker 11: This is this is a decision we heard to talk
- 1:04:57Speaker 11: about like, this is a decision around.
- 1:05:00Speaker 10: This is a decision around let him cook. Now we
- 1:05:06Speaker 10: heard the talking points. This is a decision right now
- 1:05:11Speaker 10: on do you just said it again? Make sure everyone
- 1:05:14Speaker 10: focuses on the cook that was just said. As Americans,
- 1:05:19Speaker 10: do you trust what the government is doing? He lost
- 1:05:22Speaker 10: because folks don't. He is losing because people don't. And
- 1:05:26Speaker 10: when he had a chance today not about Joe Biden,
- 1:05:30Speaker 10: he couldn't even remember who was debating most of the time.
- 1:05:32Speaker 10: When he had a chance today to say to say,
- 1:05:36Speaker 10: very specifically, do you take any responsibility around having with COVID,
- 1:05:42Speaker 10: he said he did a great job. When he had
- 1:05:45Speaker 10: a chance to take responsibility about having with the insurrection
- 1:05:47Speaker 10: where they try to kill his vice president, he said,
- 1:05:50Speaker 10: I told him to go peacefully. When he had a
- 1:05:53Speaker 10: chance to literally say no, I will not sustain what's happening.
- 1:05:57Speaker 10: I will veto if band comes from a national abortion
- 1:06:01Speaker 10: because he literally flipped, like you talking about changing positions,
- 1:06:04Speaker 10: he flipped Popps at twenty four hours in Florida because
- 1:06:07Speaker 10: the polls were back to him.
- 1:06:08Speaker 8: He twice could not say that.
- 1:06:10Speaker 10: So, if we want to actually talk about the facts
- 1:06:12Speaker 10: and what was going down, you have two clear choices here.
- 1:06:17Speaker 10: You have a decision in which one person repeatedly and
- 1:06:23Speaker 10: Vice President Harris laid out what.
- 1:06:26Speaker 11: She would do for businesses and individuals.
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: There's a New York Times Siena poll that dropped yesterday
- 1:06:36Speaker 6: that shows among black voters in twenty twenty, Trump has
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: seven percent. In twenty twenty four, he's up to seventeen percent.
- 1:06:45Speaker 6: There's a New York Time I mean, there's a Siena
- 1:06:48Speaker 6: poll that was released just yesterday. Among Latino voters, in
- 1:06:52Speaker 6: twenty twenty, Trump was at like thirty percent. In twenty
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: twenty four, he's at forty two percent.
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: At the end of the day.
- 1:06:59Speaker 6: If you're going to rely on polling like Hillary Clinton
- 1:07:02Speaker 6: did in twenty sixteen when she was ahead in all
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: the polls, when they said that she had it in
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: the bag and she didn't have it in the bag,
- 1:07:09Speaker 6: I think the truth is that there is an undercurrent
- 1:07:12Speaker 6: where I have never seen this. Many black people say
- 1:07:14Speaker 6: that they're going to vote for Trump. I've never seen
- 1:07:17Speaker 6: this many black people say that they want something other
- 1:07:20Speaker 6: than her. I've just never seen it. I've not seen it.
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: I didn't see it in twenty twenty. So this is
- 1:07:25Speaker 6: very new for me, and I think the truth is
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: and the reason why is because they're not satisfied with
- 1:07:31Speaker 6: our current administration, and they're definitely not satisfied with her,
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: and they don't feel like the economy is going well,
- 1:07:37Speaker 6: and they don't like the decisions that are being made.
- 1:07:40Speaker 6: And so at the end of the day, you can
- 1:07:41Speaker 6: have a career politician who's going to tell you whatever
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: it is that you want to hear and do absolutely
- 1:07:46Speaker 6: nothing in office with Democrats have been in the White
- 1:07:50Speaker 6: House twelve over the.
- 1:07:51Speaker 4: Last sixteen years.
- 1:07:52Speaker 6: So if there are things wrong, it's probably the people
- 1:07:54Speaker 6: that's been in there more than a decade as opposed
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: to a man that was just in their four years
- 1:07:58Speaker 6: and two of the four had a pandemic.
- 1:08:01Speaker 10: You just one this is just one, one quick thing,
- 1:08:03Speaker 10: This one quick thing, if I can from a from
- 1:08:07Speaker 10: from a decision standpoint. It was said earlier about the
- 1:08:10Speaker 10: Vice president and her history around being a prosecutor. She
- 1:08:15Speaker 10: chose to not pursue the death penalty and when it
- 1:08:21Speaker 10: could have destroyed a community.
- 1:08:24Speaker 11: Went on another side.
- 1:08:25Speaker 10: You had someone who called for the death penalty when
- 1:08:27Speaker 10: he knew the people were innocent.
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: Okay, we know where you're going here.
- 1:08:31Speaker 6: What about the man didn't let out when the already
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: do you support Kamala keeping.
- 1:08:45Speaker 11: The vice presidents for the vice president?
- 1:08:48Speaker 6: Say her title her keeping black man in jail when
- 1:08:51Speaker 6: she was told to let the man out and she didn't,
- 1:08:53Speaker 6: and then the Court of Appeals has to come down
- 1:08:54Speaker 6: and tell her to let him out.
- 1:08:55Speaker 4: Do you do you support that type of behavior?
- 1:08:58Speaker 11: No? No, no, no, I heard your first. So so
- 1:09:00Speaker 11: again let's let's use facts. Let's use facts.
- 1:09:03Speaker 10: Right now, according to four dot us, there are more
- 1:09:06Speaker 10: black men graduating and going to president. So again, if
- 1:09:09Speaker 10: you come with your talking points, come on someone who's
- 1:09:11Speaker 10: not prepared.
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: But but yeah, that's great, but that doesn't.
- 1:09:15Speaker 10: But again again again, just because she's again the vice president,
- 1:09:19Speaker 10: you just asked, good question, and I just black.
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: Men are graduating at an all time time because Kamala
- 1:09:25Speaker 6: is the vice president.
- 1:09:26Speaker 8: Is that what you're telling?
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: Well, let's do this let's do this.
- 1:09:28Speaker 11: Thank policies, you guys.
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: You guys represented your political parties, I think very well,
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: and we appreciate we appreciate the conversation.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: It was a very insightful conversation. Reverend Blake, thank you, Whitley,
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: thank you. I'm sure hopefully we'll be able to continue
- 1:09:51Speaker 5: some dialogue with you guys as we lead.
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: Up to this.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: Uh what we got fifty five days something like that,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: and all the people that are in the comments, we
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: appreciate you.
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: It was a very it was a very spirited debateing.
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: Crazy and we got we got black jobs to do tomorrow.
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: All right, all right, guys, thank you so much.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:10:16Speaker 11: Appreciate you, appreciate you, thank you.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Thank you. Okay, well that was fun, man, that was
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: that was insightful.
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: Okay, Okay, yeah, man, I think we should do more
- 1:10:29Speaker 5: of these. I think we should do more these. Is
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: almost midnight. What do you guys think? What's what's in
- 1:10:37Speaker 5: the comics? What do you what do you think?
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: I didn't get a chance to watch any reviews from
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: you know, the M S N E, C, the Fox News, CNN.
