- 0:06Speaker 1: Lots of news in the wallet space today. We'll be
- 0:08Speaker 1: breaking it down for you with some big security concerns. Also,
- 0:10Speaker 1: we have special guests, so it'd be a good one.
- 0:12Speaker 1: My name is Swalbar. Welcome back in a tech path.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I do want to thank our sponsor and that is
- 0:16Speaker 1: a wallet for self custody and that is Tangum. You
- 0:19Speaker 1: guys can of course get into Tangum. One thing is
- 0:22Speaker 1: it doesn't have a browser extension right now, so you
- 0:24Speaker 1: were currently safe on that one. But check it out
- 0:27Speaker 1: use our code down below if you guys want to
- 0:29Speaker 1: get a little bit of a discount. One thing about Tangum,
- 0:32Speaker 1: it is one of the most secure and easiest wallets
- 0:34Speaker 1: to set up out there as far as hardware is concerned.
- 0:37Speaker 1: If you haven't started your self custody journey, join it
- 0:41Speaker 1: with Tangum. Just click the link down below to get started.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I wanted to bring in Tess, who is coming in
- 0:46Speaker 1: from the Core Wallet team and Ava Labs to join
- 0:50Speaker 1: me today. Hey Tess, how are you Hi? Paul, I'm great,
- 0:52Speaker 1: How are you excellent? Excellent? So we're going to be
- 0:55Speaker 1: jumping into some wallet conversations today. Obviously, the big news
- 0:59Speaker 1: right now is Microsoft just advanced their threat intelligence over
- 1:03Speaker 1: there and they're talking about this incident response around what
- 1:07Speaker 1: do they call it, the STEALATCHI rat risk that we're
- 1:09Speaker 1: seeing within the wallets right now through a browser extension.
- 1:13Speaker 1: So this is one of the things that obviously we
- 1:15Speaker 1: wanted to bring you guys on to talk a little
- 1:17Speaker 1: bit about. Ye First of all, what's your opinion on
- 1:20Speaker 1: this Core is not necessarily on the list. I think
- 1:23Speaker 1: there was a whole list here. Let me see, I
- 1:25Speaker 1: can pull it up. Yeah, right here, gave us a
- 1:27Speaker 1: full list. Core wasn't on it. So do you know
- 1:29Speaker 1: for sure if it has sidestepped this issue?
- 1:32Speaker 2: Our team, as part of our day to day routine,
- 1:35Speaker 2: is trying to stay ahead of the curve and making
- 1:37Speaker 2: sure that we're patching bugs, making sure that any potential
- 1:41Speaker 2: issues that are being flagged in the industry at large
- 1:43Speaker 2: are being accounted for effective immediately. So we do tend
- 1:48Speaker 2: to we do tend to take security very seriously. We
- 1:52Speaker 2: have our INFOSAC team constantly monitoring the space.
- 1:55Speaker 1: If you guys are out there, always be just you
- 1:58Speaker 1: cognizant of these kind of things. Time you're dealing with
- 2:00Speaker 1: browser based extensions in almost everything including your banks as well.
- 2:06Speaker 1: These are potential issues from a security standpoint that you
- 2:10Speaker 1: need to kind of get into. I want to go
- 2:12Speaker 1: over into a few points within Avalanche and also just
- 2:17Speaker 1: within the Core app that we thought this is something
- 2:20Speaker 1: that we've continued to cover on around advancements within the
- 2:25Speaker 1: Core app itself. And I know you're working on the
- 2:27Speaker 1: on the Core wallet, et cetera, but not necessarily rolling
- 2:30Speaker 1: out just yet. These are just some good examples, things
- 2:34Speaker 1: like you know, dj in chat and profiles, one click
- 2:37Speaker 1: native staking with something like a go Go pool or Benki.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Those are all great benefits, but it still takes a
- 2:42Speaker 1: lot to get all that done. What advancements have you
- 2:46Speaker 1: guys been able to achieve here recent line? I know
- 2:49Speaker 1: there's a big update coming, what's coming down the pipe?
- 2:52Speaker 2: Twenty twenty five is said to be a very exciting
- 2:54Speaker 2: year for Core. Obviously the Avalanche space at large, we're
- 2:58Speaker 2: seeing constant, a constant evolution with the latch of new
- 3:03Speaker 2: l ones and just general improvement in infrastructure. The benefit
- 3:07Speaker 2: that Core has to be part of Ava Labs team
- 3:10Speaker 2: is that we are especially built for these new updates.
- 3:13Speaker 2: So to your other point, twenty twenty five is going
- 3:16Speaker 2: to be a very big year for us because we
- 3:19Speaker 2: do have a major UI update going live, and this
- 3:23Speaker 2: update doesn't just it's not just a surface level making
- 3:26Speaker 2: the app look pretty update. It does acknowledge and improve
- 3:31Speaker 2: a lot of things that users have been asking for.
- 3:33Speaker 2: We do have a pretty good timeline of when this
- 3:37Speaker 2: will be going live, so we have the mobile update
- 3:41Speaker 2: going live in early April, and then the web will
- 3:46Speaker 2: follow shortly after and then extension in early summer. So
- 3:51Speaker 2: throughout this there's going to be a seamlessly there's not
- 3:54Speaker 2: going to be any interruptions to Core usage. The different
- 3:57Speaker 2: tools within the product line will look a little different
- 4:00Speaker 2: as we work to kind of flesh that out throughout
- 4:03Speaker 2: the product sphere, but very exciting updates coming out. If
- 4:06Speaker 2: there are features in that list that our users do
- 4:10Speaker 2: want to see sooner rather than later, I do encourage
- 4:12Speaker 2: people to tag us on Twitter at Core app because
- 4:15Speaker 2: we do have a pretty good response time to making
- 4:17Speaker 2: sure that the features our users want to see are prioritized.
- 4:22Speaker 2: It's not on this list, but we will be. We
- 4:24Speaker 2: will be having it soon. Is the trending Tokens a
- 4:27Speaker 2: trending Tokens page, So that's something that will be really
- 4:30Speaker 2: helpful to our users. It's something they've been requesting for
- 4:32Speaker 2: a while.
- 4:33Speaker 1: One thing, just as so everybody understands with Avalanche, you've
- 4:36Speaker 1: got the sea chain and then you have the l
- 4:38Speaker 1: ones architecture within there. So onboarding is a challenge because
- 4:43Speaker 1: I think a lot of people were anticipating that you
- 4:45Speaker 1: would see maybe direct into l one onboarding versus going
- 4:49Speaker 1: through seachain. So there is a bit of an extra step.
- 4:52Speaker 1: One thing that we also put and this was in
- 4:54Speaker 1: reference to em and he made a statement in here,
- 4:58Speaker 1: so we responded to it. We stated, you know that
- 5:01Speaker 1: we weren't really pleased with this, but it was based
- 5:03Speaker 1: on three different while its Core was by far the
- 5:07Speaker 1: worst in our opinion, because we had extra pop ups
- 5:11Speaker 1: that eliminate our speed on initial swaps. That's a problem
- 5:14Speaker 1: in trading, as you guys know, especially in DEEPI. And
- 5:17Speaker 1: then at this point, Core should have also had a
- 5:19Speaker 1: trending token page, which backs to your point, you're going
- 5:21Speaker 1: to have it now, that's yeah, so that very soon.
- 5:25Speaker 1: And an instant swap button, you know, that's the other
- 5:27Speaker 1: thing that everybody's asking for, So.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Yeah, totally, so something we see a lot. Actually we've
- 5:34Speaker 2: been seeing a lot of this on Twitter too, and
- 5:36Speaker 2: also just talking to users one to one to figure out,
- 5:39Speaker 2: you know, what we could be doing better is some
- 5:41Speaker 2: users do have pointed out that the experience in Core
- 5:45Speaker 2: isn't truly and holistically in app, So that is actually
- 5:49Speaker 2: something that we're working to improve actively. To your point
- 5:52Speaker 2: with these pop ups when you're trying to do swaps,
- 5:55Speaker 2: these are the kinds of features that are going to
- 5:56Speaker 2: be addressed by our UI update across a mobile extension
- 6:01Speaker 2: and web. So these issues over the course of twenty
- 6:04Speaker 2: twenty five will happen less and less as the quality
- 6:08Speaker 2: of DUI improves and the user journey remaining in app
- 6:11Speaker 2: improves as well.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Okay, very cool. Well I'm looking at your list here.
- 6:15Speaker 1: This is on your Medium account there, and so new
- 6:18Speaker 1: logo and brand look. We saw a little bit of
- 6:19Speaker 1: the sneak peek on this already. We've reported on this
- 6:22Speaker 1: mobile app you iid this is talking early spring, so
- 6:24Speaker 1: April timeframe here. Mobile experience jumping in including uiaux new
- 6:29Speaker 1: look feel, simpler flows which is good debugging, and then
- 6:33Speaker 1: the website and then browser extension. Obviously, you guys are
- 6:36Speaker 1: going to be very critical of your browser extension. I
- 6:40Speaker 1: think now that Microsoft is out there going, hey, we've
- 6:43Speaker 1: got a problem with this, so definitely, So okay, so
- 6:47Speaker 1: this is a good roadmap. Are there any other items
- 6:49Speaker 1: that are coming that are not on this list that
- 6:52Speaker 1: you could share I At.
- 6:55Speaker 2: This time, I can't say because we don't want to
- 6:59Speaker 2: read anything. Some surprises, yes we have in early summer
- 7:03Speaker 2: or something that I think existing users are going to
- 7:06Speaker 2: be very very pleased to see, and something that will
- 7:09Speaker 2: also help with the onboarding question that we touched on
- 7:13Speaker 2: a little earlier. So something that we have maybe not
- 7:17Speaker 2: focused on as much in the past is actually the
- 7:19Speaker 2: front end experience. So we're trying to make sure that
- 7:22Speaker 2: those map up match out very seamlessly this year.
- 7:25Speaker 1: All right, let's jump over to social because this is
- 7:27Speaker 1: something that we think is going to happen for sure,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and that is wallet integration into a social platform. Now
- 7:34Speaker 1: one of the platforms that most likely will happen. I
- 7:37Speaker 1: know X is already trying to dabble in this, but
- 7:39Speaker 1: we haven't seen anything real concrete coming out of it,
- 7:43Speaker 1: and to a certain extent, I think some others, you know,
- 7:45Speaker 1: Telegram most likely will make its way there. The one
- 7:49Speaker 1: that we're watching though, is TikTok and I want to
- 7:51Speaker 1: go to a clip real quick because this is talking
- 7:53Speaker 1: about Project Liberty, because they have a new partner coming in.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 7:58Speaker 3: You know you're both you both collaborate with a lot
- 7:59Speaker 3: of partners. And my understanding now as you are collaborating
- 8:02Speaker 3: together Project Liberty and Consensus, so tell us about that.
- 8:06Speaker 4: We're incredibly excited to work with Project Liberty. And we
- 8:09Speaker 4: have a technology that is a high throughput layer two
- 8:14Speaker 4: zero knowledge, Theoeum Virtual Machine Network, and it provides scalability
- 8:19Speaker 4: on the Ethereum platform. We will have excellent interoperability across
- 8:24Speaker 4: different networks. Excited that they kick the tires and appreciated
- 8:28Speaker 4: the technology and right to partner deeply with us.
- 8:31Speaker 5: It's actually very very big news that we're working together.
- 8:37Speaker 5: Ethereum is the dominant layer one and you know Meta
- 8:42Speaker 5: mask is the dominant wallet. A very huge collaboration that
- 8:46Speaker 5: you know, may not people may not realize it for
- 8:48Speaker 5: a year or six months or something, but it's it's
- 8:51Speaker 5: really seminal. It's much harder to make this mainstream through
- 8:55Speaker 5: financial technology than it is through social So I think
- 8:58Speaker 5: this is going to be a very very significant partnership.
- 9:01Speaker 3: When you're from now, we'll be sitting right here and
- 9:03Speaker 3: you'll tell us about how great it's going, all.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Right, So that of course Joe lubin there with MetaMask,
- 9:09Speaker 1: and the integration now with Frank McCort, who is leading
- 9:12Speaker 1: Project Liberty. Project Liberty for many of you, maybe new
- 9:15Speaker 1: listeners or viewers, Project Liberty has really amassed almost like
- 9:19Speaker 1: an a team of investors, and we've got Kevin O'Leary
- 9:23Speaker 1: in there. You've got Alexis o'hannian coming in from Reddit,
- 9:27Speaker 1: Jimmy from Mister Beast, and now Meta mask all joining
- 9:30Speaker 1: in on potentially a bid to get TikTok, the US
- 9:34Speaker 1: version of it, at least with an American Text Act.
- 9:36Speaker 1: So what it means is that we could have a
- 9:38Speaker 1: wallet in a social media platform very quickly. So my
- 9:41Speaker 1: question to you, Tess is you look at MiWi, which
- 9:44Speaker 1: is a partner already of Avalanche, and I'm looking at
- 9:48Speaker 1: right now because they're riding in on Frequency, which by
- 9:51Speaker 1: the way, is the blockchain element that would potentially live
- 9:56Speaker 1: under Project Liberty and possibly even connect to TikTok. But
- 10:00Speaker 1: why not have Avalanche connected at least core wallet being
- 10:04Speaker 1: able to connect with something like a MEW which is
- 10:06Speaker 1: already a partner of Avalanche. What's going on.
- 10:08Speaker 2: There, Well, first of all, I want to say I
- 10:10Speaker 2: am super excited about what's going on with Project Liberty
- 10:14Speaker 2: and Meta Mask. I think I'm a big subscriber to
- 10:16Speaker 2: the Rising Tide ethos, and I think that every way
- 10:21Speaker 2: that we can get consumers to be more aware of
- 10:23Speaker 2: the real life and real world applications of blockchain tech
- 10:27Speaker 2: and how it can improve even simple things like their
- 10:30Speaker 2: social presence, it's an incredible way to onboard new users.
- 10:35Speaker 2: And yeah, so I'm very excited about that, and congratulations
- 10:38Speaker 2: to them. I think as far as as far as
- 10:42Speaker 2: integrating partners to Core, that is something that, like I
- 10:48Speaker 2: mentioned before, we're a very small team, so these kinds
- 10:50Speaker 2: of things, these kinds of flags are really helpful to us.
- 10:53Speaker 2: We have a lot of partner integrations already that do exist,
- 10:57Speaker 2: and we're always open to integrating more. I think, yeah,
- 11:00Speaker 2: if someone's an Avalanche ecosystem and they're excited to kind
- 11:03Speaker 2: of partner a little more closely with Core or do
- 11:06Speaker 2: something together, we're very open to that and eager to
- 11:10Speaker 2: maybe kick off a conversation. So who knows, Paul, maybe
- 11:12Speaker 2: this will I'll reach out to the new team and
- 11:15Speaker 2: see if this sparks something cool.
- 11:16Speaker 1: All right, well, let's hope. I think we're going to
- 11:19Speaker 1: see a lot more of this. It's just a matter
- 11:21Speaker 1: of time, espect. Really, if Project Liberty is successful on
- 11:25Speaker 1: their move, let's talk about sea Chain, because there's an
- 11:28Speaker 1: upgrade incoming right now. The likelihood of a sea Chain
- 11:33Speaker 1: upgrade and the potential of what that means to users,
- 11:38Speaker 1: to a lot of the l ones many of the
- 11:40Speaker 1: partners that you guys have already signed and started to
- 11:43Speaker 1: commit to. What does this mean for Avalanche? What does
- 11:47Speaker 1: the rollout look like?
- 11:48Speaker 2: Where Core comes into play is we're very ingrained and
- 11:51Speaker 2: we actually help support the ICM, which is the Avalanche
- 11:54Speaker 2: Interchain Messaging Protocol formerly called ICMP or one of the
- 11:59Speaker 2: other Sunset names, but it's the ICM, and that's something
- 12:03Speaker 2: that's ingrained very intimately with corese Tech being Avalanche's native
- 12:08Speaker 2: wallet and being built by Ava Labs. It's something that
- 12:11Speaker 2: is at the foundation of the wallet's infrastructure. So the
- 12:15Speaker 2: way that this can benefiting user is that if there's
- 12:18Speaker 2: a new project, or a new company or a new
- 12:21Speaker 2: entity that spins up an L one, they're able to
- 12:24Speaker 2: actually immediately they don't have to do anything on their end.
- 12:27Speaker 2: It's immediately available Encore, and so what that means is
- 12:31Speaker 2: immediate and direct access to consumers, an audience, a user base,
- 12:35Speaker 2: whatever that is. So it's almost this baked in process
- 12:38Speaker 2: that makes it. It makes it easier when a project
- 12:42Speaker 2: or group or team is considering an avalanche L one.
- 12:46Speaker 1: We're already seeing cross chain lending starting to build out
- 12:49Speaker 1: on this with what yield yak is doing. Because you
- 12:52Speaker 1: can deposit AVAX, borrow USDC. This is all available right now.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Though it looks a little bit clunky, as you guys
- 12:57Speaker 1: can kind of see here on saying you'll see something
- 12:59Speaker 1: here a second that kind of blows your mind, But
- 13:03Speaker 1: it's reference to the UI UX. So I look at
- 13:05Speaker 1: that and I think, okay, there's some great opportunities here there.
- 13:08Speaker 1: It is right there, So oh, you know, That's what
- 13:11Speaker 1: I'm getting at is those kind of of UX fails
- 13:14Speaker 1: that we're seeing within a lot of this early stage
- 13:17Speaker 1: tech right now. Talk to me a little bit about
- 13:20Speaker 1: how this is going to change with what you guys
- 13:22Speaker 1: are doing right now with Core, what.
- 13:24Speaker 2: The improvements of our UI in this spring will mean
- 13:28Speaker 2: for users is a less clunky experience, a more seamless
- 13:32Speaker 2: experience when trying to engage with those l ones or
- 13:35Speaker 2: even from the team level creating those l ones. It
- 13:39Speaker 2: makes their experience a little more stress free because we've
- 13:43Speaker 2: kind of taken care of it for them. But yeah,
- 13:45Speaker 2: certainly with the new UI, we want to make sure
- 13:48Speaker 2: as I mentioned that transactions are seamless, we have those
- 13:53Speaker 2: less pop ups at all of the all of the
- 13:56Speaker 2: things now that require maybe popping out to a third
- 13:59Speaker 2: party or leaving the app in any way, or having
- 14:02Speaker 2: the end app experience interrupted in any way. We hope
- 14:05Speaker 2: to sunset those things solely over the course of the year,
- 14:08Speaker 2: so the experience becomes a lot easier.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I've got a clip here. This is going in. We're
- 14:12Speaker 1: going to kind of flip over to Yeah, let's do
- 14:14Speaker 1: it the CCTP update and this is coming in from Circle.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Let me play this for you and get your opinion
- 14:20Speaker 1: to take a look.
- 14:22Speaker 6: What if you can move you U SCC across chains
- 14:23Speaker 6: in seconds with circus crossing trances of protocol. Otherwise on
- 14:27Speaker 6: the CCDP you can do just that. More specifically CCDP
- 14:30Speaker 6: version two that has new features such as fast transfer
- 14:34Speaker 6: and hooks. Both ones used to see on Avalanche, but
- 14:38Speaker 6: Ellis only has USC on Ethereum. Alis now has to
- 14:42Speaker 6: find a reliable bridge to move our USC from Ethereum
- 14:45Speaker 6: to Avalanche. Just payper. But there's a problem that is
- 14:49Speaker 6: vulnerable to exploit. There's a technology that enables the secure
- 14:52Speaker 6: movement of USC across chains. Version one on EVM chains
- 14:57Speaker 6: takes about thirteen minutes, now takes about forty five seconds
- 15:01Speaker 6: full V two.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Big news there is Avalanche is first that has been
- 15:06Speaker 1: great here and we'll be fastest right now, so that
- 15:10Speaker 1: eventually this will start rolling out to everyone, you know,
- 15:13Speaker 1: whether it's swee. Obviously we'll see more chains involved in this,
- 15:17Speaker 1: but you look at this in terms of the future.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I think how big is this update from Circle?
- 15:24Speaker 2: I think it's amazing whenever I see these major updates
- 15:27Speaker 2: that make it easier for a user to get involved
- 15:30Speaker 2: in crypto more simple. A lot of a lot of
- 15:33Speaker 2: what we find in user research and consumer research when
- 15:37Speaker 2: new users who are maybe not cryptonative are looking to
- 15:40Speaker 2: get involved in the space is that they're nervous putting
- 15:44Speaker 2: the security risk fear aside. Kind of the second biggest
- 15:49Speaker 2: thing we see is users potential new users saying well,
- 15:53Speaker 2: this is a really confusing concept. There's a lot to learn,
- 15:56Speaker 2: it seems complex. I don't know if I could do
- 15:58Speaker 2: all of this technical stuff. And so these updates that
- 16:02Speaker 2: make it easier for users to WOP, get live multichain
- 16:07Speaker 2: lifestyles and get access to different kinds of tokens or
- 16:15Speaker 2: swap you know, USDC to something else in an easier way,
- 16:19Speaker 2: I think is huge. Definitely looking to looking to Circle
- 16:22Speaker 2: to see what they do with this.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Robinhood of course, yeah, connected in with Phantom, that was
- 16:27Speaker 1: a pretty big move to where you could literally go
- 16:30Speaker 1: right to your you know, your Phantom app and be
- 16:33Speaker 1: able to access your spending power over Robinhood for USDC
- 16:36Speaker 1: to be able to just move it quickly. Anything like
- 16:39Speaker 1: that coming down the road for for you guys.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Well, I had mentioned some exciting things coming up for
- 16:46Speaker 2: Core later this year summer fall. I can't comment one
- 16:52Speaker 2: way or the other, but I would definitely encourage users
- 16:54Speaker 2: who are interested in that to to go follow us
- 16:58Speaker 2: on Twitter and kind of keep up with our announcements
- 17:00Speaker 2: coming up.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Hey, listen, I'm excited to see the focus you know,
- 17:04Speaker 1: from avalanche on Core because this is something I think
- 17:06Speaker 1: that was missing. We've said it before and have been
- 17:09Speaker 1: you know, I've been vocal to even John wu about this.
- 17:11Speaker 1: I'm like, hey, Core has got a great opportunity here
- 17:14Speaker 1: to get a market position totally. You guys need to move.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I'm glad that you guys are moving, so kudos to you.
- 17:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Last question is is really getting into banking? And when
- 17:25Speaker 1: you talk about banking, you always have to talk about Ripple.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Many people look at Ripple the company they are now
- 17:30Speaker 1: eyeing a crypto wallet launch as part of their custom service.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Then you have all these banks potentially gaining access to
- 17:37Speaker 1: USDC as we get regulatory alignment coming out of DC.
- 17:42Speaker 1: With that happening, what are your thoughts right now? Do
- 17:46Speaker 1: you think banks are going to have their own wallets
- 17:49Speaker 1: in the near future, and how do you think our
- 17:51Speaker 1: Web three wallets will compete.
- 17:54Speaker 2: I think it's a great question. I'm personally excited to
- 17:56Speaker 2: see if that does end up happening. I think the
- 18:00Speaker 2: more Web two players we can get into the Web
- 18:03Speaker 2: three space, the better because that's going to get users
- 18:06Speaker 2: involved and onboarded at scale in a way that we're
- 18:10Speaker 2: not seeing right now. I think something we tend to
- 18:13Speaker 2: at least me personally, something I tend to forget in
- 18:16Speaker 2: my day to day is that we're still really we're
- 18:19Speaker 2: still in a really young industry and we're still very
- 18:21Speaker 2: early adopters to this, and there are you know, hundreds
- 18:26Speaker 2: of millions of people in the world that have never
- 18:28Speaker 2: touched a wallet, had never touched crypto. I think there's
- 18:31Speaker 2: more than enough room for kind of everyone to get involved.
- 18:34Speaker 2: And so this idea of these major financial institutions and
- 18:40Speaker 2: banks and these major Web two players getting involved in
- 18:43Speaker 2: the Web three space, be it with wallets or in
- 18:46Speaker 2: some other way, I think it's really exciting and an
- 18:49Speaker 2: opportunity for Core. You know, we have kind of a
- 18:53Speaker 2: like being custom made for Avalanche. So the more people
- 18:56Speaker 2: that we can get involved with Avalanche and Core and
- 18:59Speaker 2: even other chains and ecosystems, I think it's a win
- 19:03Speaker 2: for the crypto blockchain community at large.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the thing I talked to a lot
- 19:09Speaker 1: of people about because I think, oh, eventually banking is
- 19:11Speaker 1: going to take this over, and I'm like, listen, you know,
- 19:13Speaker 1: the banks have kind of controlled finance for so long,
- 19:16Speaker 1: and the only problem was is that all of the
- 19:19Speaker 1: customers of those banks had no alternative. There was nothing,
- 19:22Speaker 1: you know. Now we're seeing a rising of both elements,
- 19:26Speaker 1: where we could see a web three or a neo
- 19:28Speaker 1: style banks that will rise in terms of the use
- 19:31Speaker 1: case of USDC wallets, et cetera, as well as banking functions,
- 19:35Speaker 1: and then wallets themselves, I think are going to get
- 19:37Speaker 1: a lot more sophisticated and literally may act as banks
- 19:42Speaker 1: in the in the near future. Yeah, a lot of
- 19:45Speaker 1: people for sure.
- 19:46Speaker 2: So it's true. We wallets are truly at the front
- 19:51Speaker 2: lines of consumer adoption to tech, and I think it's
- 19:55Speaker 2: a mantle that we as a wallet community need to
- 19:58Speaker 2: take upon ourselves to make sure that the user experiences
- 20:01Speaker 2: are as smooth and easy and enjoyable as possible, because
- 20:06Speaker 2: really it's it's often a consumer's first touch point with
- 20:11Speaker 2: exactly space, and so yeah, it's really exciting. You already
- 20:15Speaker 2: see also a lot of banks and these major institutions
- 20:18Speaker 2: partnering with different l different blockchains in different ways, so
- 20:21Speaker 2: I'm insurged to see how those relationships evolve.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I still think it's going to get dominated by the
- 20:26Speaker 1: under thirty to under thirty five crowd that hoctually you know,
- 20:30Speaker 1: starts to understand what self custody is, and even to
- 20:33Speaker 1: a certain extent, even the extension of being able to
- 20:35Speaker 1: connect a wallet into you know, brokerage accounts, et cetera.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Those I think are going to be the new dynamics
- 20:41Speaker 1: of how we see this going forward. Unless banks can
- 20:44Speaker 1: really play catch up quickly and come out with something.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I just don't know that they're that nimble to be
- 20:49Speaker 1: able to do that in the next two years.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Has a lot of red tape.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, so a lot a lot there. Hey, Tess,
- 20:56Speaker 1: it was good having you on the show, and thank
- 20:58Speaker 1: thank you so much for great meeting and glad that
- 21:00Speaker 1: we have another space here on the network. But thanks
- 21:03Speaker 1: for stopping in.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Thank you so much, Paul. I really appreciate you having
- 21:06Speaker 2: me on. This is fun, all.
