- 0:04Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning. Welcome, welcome, welcome, and
- 0:07Speaker 1: it is time now for one on one with the
- 0:08Speaker 1: pro and we are talking with our pro today from
- 0:12Speaker 1: Truity Credit Union. How are we doing, miss Becky Gaily,
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm dead well, I'll tell you what. It's a beautiful
- 0:18Speaker 1: day in the neighborhood always is when folks from Truity
- 0:21Speaker 1: come by.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Now we've got some great news. You you work in
- 0:27Speaker 1: the mortgage development you're the more mortgage development officer. Yes,
- 0:31Speaker 1: and uh, I mean this is like breaking news, breaking yeah,
- 0:36Speaker 1: because rates are dropping. Wow, finally, finally you guys got
- 0:41Speaker 1: It's like, yes, please, I know. So what does this
- 0:43Speaker 1: mean for the consumer.
- 0:45Speaker 3: It's great news for the consumer. So people are hopefully
- 0:50Speaker 3: younger buyers are starting to come out of the woodworks.
- 0:53Speaker 3: People are getting more interested in purchasing homes. They're getting
- 0:56Speaker 3: more curious because I think with the rates dropping that
- 1:01Speaker 3: maybe they can afford a home now, which you know,
- 1:04Speaker 3: could be the case or could not. I don't know,
- 1:07Speaker 3: but at least people are asking more questions. They're getting
- 1:10Speaker 3: more curious.
- 1:12Speaker 1: That's always a good sign. That means that folks are
- 1:14Speaker 1: feeling better about sticking that toe in the water, maybe
- 1:18Speaker 1: going all in with both feet. Now you have the
- 1:21Speaker 1: faha loans that you work with, tell us a little
- 1:23Speaker 1: bit about it.
- 1:24Speaker 3: I know that's new to Truity, so faha, we've brought
- 1:27Speaker 3: that in house. So what that means is that it's
- 1:31Speaker 3: all done here locally, So we process, originate, we process,
- 1:37Speaker 3: and underwrite. Everybody is here in Bartlesville locally looking at
- 1:43Speaker 3: the loan, which is exciting for Truity because we've never
- 1:46Speaker 3: done government back loans in house.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Well, you know, it's also good for the consumer too. Yeah, guys,
- 1:52Speaker 1: you get your answers quicker.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Yes, totally.
- 1:55Speaker 3: And it's easier to talk to you know, you're talking
- 1:58Speaker 3: to somebody real here at home, not in California or wherever.
- 2:03Speaker 2: You know, thank you.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Yeah, And that is also a big benefit being a
- 2:10Speaker 1: local letterer. Guys and gals knows the landscape, you know
- 2:14Speaker 1: the ins and outs, you know the people that these
- 2:16Speaker 1: folks will probably be doing business with.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I know, I think, I guess being at Truity and
- 2:23Speaker 3: being here in the community, it's gotten more important to
- 2:27Speaker 3: me to have somebody that does your mortgage loans or
- 2:32Speaker 3: any kind of financial business that's local and here at
- 2:37Speaker 3: home and real, not somebody just behind a curtain that
- 2:43Speaker 3: doesn't care about you or your financial wellbeing, or it's
- 2:47Speaker 3: just important to have somebody local that knows you.
- 2:50Speaker 1: There's an engagement factor there that irreplaceable because if people
- 2:55Speaker 1: are treating it like a number, you're going to feel it. Yeah,
- 2:58Speaker 1: But if you are working with someone locally, you're going
- 3:02Speaker 1: to feel that too. You're going to feel a just
- 3:04Speaker 1: a sense of belonging. And that's what it's all about.
- 3:08Speaker 1: And when we talk about Truty, speaking of belonging. Community
- 3:12Speaker 1: involvement is a big part of what the Truity is
- 3:17Speaker 1: all about. Your employees are everything.
- 3:21Speaker 3: We're everywhere, even for me, like this week is busy
- 3:24Speaker 3: for me. The Girl Scouts fundraiser is going on tonight
- 3:30Speaker 3: at Cooper and Mill, and then we have Big Brothers
- 3:35Speaker 3: Big Sisters cookout that's tomorrow and the Keller Williams Golf
- 3:41Speaker 3: Tournament that's going on Friday, So I'll be at all that.
- 3:45Speaker 3: I mean, there's going to be a bunch of Truity
- 3:46Speaker 3: people at all of those events.
- 3:48Speaker 2: But indeed, yeah, Women.
- 3:50Speaker 3: In Business is this afternoon. I'm excited about that one.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Sherry puts on a great show with that. It's great speakers.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Yeah, we're going to get color matched to our skin
- 4:00Speaker 3: to tell us what clothes we can wear.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Clothes. I need that too, Yeah, everybody does.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I'm still lost in the eighties or something like that.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I just like black.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Stick with that all the time. Yeah, my hair used
- 4:13Speaker 1: to be that color anyway. But anyway, with Trudy Credit Union,
- 4:19Speaker 1: you know, it's You've got the big beautiful building downtown,
- 4:23Speaker 1: the wonderful mural inside. Folks, if you haven't just to
- 4:25Speaker 1: take a look at the mural, and then if you
- 4:27Speaker 1: have some questions, there are more than enough people to
- 4:30Speaker 1: answer them for you. That's I never this is one
- 4:34Speaker 1: thing I'm a customer. One thing I've never heard was
- 4:37Speaker 1: I'm too busy for you. I've never heard that said
- 4:40Speaker 1: let's get to someone. And it's always with a smile too.
- 4:44Speaker 3: And all the pictures on the walls, they're all taken
- 4:47Speaker 3: by somebody local in the community.
- 4:50Speaker 2: So we did that. I think that's cool.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I think it is too. I mean, just spend a
- 4:54Speaker 1: little time to say wow, and then you've got the wonderful, beautiful,
- 4:58Speaker 1: brand new facility that just had a few other pieces
- 5:02Speaker 1: of work done to it. Here right there on South Washington.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Yeah, we got the new driveway, thank you.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Yes, I know basing quietly, thank you.
- 5:13Speaker 1: But it is gorgeous. It's a really colorful and a
- 5:17Speaker 1: piece of work. I have a question here when it
- 5:20Speaker 1: comes to Truity Credit Union. We are very very local
- 5:24Speaker 1: and we are very very community minded. But some of
- 5:29Speaker 1: the products that Truity offers it can be used anywhere,
- 5:34Speaker 1: like say your debit card. You're not just confined to hometown,
- 5:38Speaker 1: are you.
- 5:38Speaker 2: No, huhuh.
- 5:39Speaker 3: As far as lending those mortgages, we lend all over
- 5:44Speaker 3: the United States except for Hawaii. Can't do loans in
- 5:47Speaker 3: Hawaii unfortunately.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Well you know how that goes.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah, but we do all sorts of loans too.
- 5:53Speaker 3: I mean, if you're interested in purchasing raw land or
- 5:57Speaker 3: maybe building a home or home equlds, we can do
- 6:01Speaker 3: it all pretty much.
- 6:02Speaker 1: That's good to know. There's a lot of Oklahoma between towns. Now.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Some of these are just larger answers kind of interconnected,
- 6:10Speaker 1: but there are some spaces in between that may be
- 6:12Speaker 1: for sail yep. And it with that in mind, if
- 6:15Speaker 1: you're you're looking to do something with the undeveloped plan,
- 6:21Speaker 1: couldn't hurt to give you a call.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Yeah, and even if as yeah, ask the questions and
- 6:26Speaker 3: if we can't help you, we can at least point
- 6:28Speaker 3: you in the right direction. Which is also a nice
- 6:30Speaker 3: thing because we have relationships with other institutions too, so
- 6:35Speaker 3: we're all friends.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Becky. Yeah, you are with the mortgage development. You are
- 6:40Speaker 1: the mortgage development officer. I like say, if someone's thinking
- 6:43Speaker 1: about Okay, I've seen the existing homes and they're nice,
- 6:48Speaker 1: but I want to build my own. Because Truity work
- 6:51Speaker 1: with people who wish to build their own homes. Yep,
- 6:54Speaker 1: you do. Yep.
- 6:55Speaker 3: We can ground up, yeah, ground up custom custom built homes.
- 6:59Speaker 2: We can.
- 7:00Speaker 3: We have relationships with the local builders around here too,
- 7:04Speaker 3: So yeah, my goodness sakes.
- 7:06Speaker 1: You know something, there's another thing. I've never heard. Another
- 7:09Speaker 1: word I have never heard tru The word is the
- 7:13Speaker 1: word no. I've never heard no. Yeah, let's find another way.
- 7:16Speaker 2: We try not to say that.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Well, I haven't heard it. It's usually you know, let's
- 7:21Speaker 1: see if we can find a way. And that's great
- 7:23Speaker 1: because you're there to work with customers and everyone too,
- 7:28Speaker 1: and that's educate and educate. Oh yeah, I've gotten an
- 7:32Speaker 1: education through Truity Credit Union. One, you're not a bank.
- 7:39Speaker 1: A credit union and a credit union may share some similarities,
- 7:45Speaker 1: and you do have many products that banks have, but
- 7:49Speaker 1: there's a key difference.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you own the credit union.
- 7:53Speaker 1: That's right. You're in the driver's sea.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you are the owner, not us.
- 7:59Speaker 3: We don't. We're not going by shareholders like banks are.
- 8:02Speaker 3: It's the members are the owners.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And that's got to make you feel pretty darn good.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Now with Truity Credit Union here right here in town, well,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I understand you guys have been growing a little bit,
- 8:14Speaker 1: kind of gone up in Kansas, couple of places.
- 8:16Speaker 3: Yeah, as far as the mortgage loans go, we're expanding
- 8:20Speaker 3: and growing. We just hire two more originators in the
- 8:24Speaker 3: Kansas area, so we have a Tulsa loan officer too.
- 8:28Speaker 3: So we're moving and shaking and growing. It's exciting, really it.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Yeah it is. This all started with some ladies at
- 8:37Speaker 1: Phillips I understand, Yes, good hour, just starting to figure
- 8:42Speaker 1: out how to save a few pennies. And from that
- 8:46Speaker 1: credit union was formed and the rest, as they say,
- 8:49Speaker 1: is history, and we're living that history today thanks to
- 8:52Speaker 1: those very industrious ladies.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, it's so cool to see.
- 8:56Speaker 3: I mean, I've worked at Truity for fifteen years now,
- 9:03Speaker 3: and so just to see when I started in two
- 9:06Speaker 3: thousand and seven to how much we've grown, how much
- 9:09Speaker 3: has changed, is really cool to be a part of.
- 9:13Speaker 1: It has changed. It's not like it changes so darn fast.
- 9:17Speaker 1: It's the subtle changes. But then, by golly, you just
- 9:20Speaker 1: look back and said, well, you know, a few months ago,
- 9:22Speaker 1: we weren't doing that. Boy, it's cool that we're doing
- 9:24Speaker 1: it now.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 9:26Speaker 1: And now you've got a lot of things where you
- 9:29Speaker 1: can actually do many of the functions online.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Pretty much everything you can do online now, which means
- 9:38Speaker 3: we can serve you in a broader area. If that
- 9:41Speaker 3: makes sense.
- 9:42Speaker 1: It does.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you can go anywhere and we can help.
- 9:45Speaker 1: That's a lifesaver in a lot of cases. And with
- 9:50Speaker 1: the credit Union by your side, folks, it's really not
- 9:52Speaker 1: a whole much you can't do. I mean, like you said,
- 9:55Speaker 1: you know, it's one thing to have a trusted partner,
- 9:59Speaker 1: but trust a local partner that pays big dividends.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Yes it does.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Truity Credit Union once again. You can find them downtown
- 10:08Speaker 1: and that that big old building with the big old
- 10:11Speaker 1: parking ramp on the back. Don't let the size fool you. Both.
- 10:14Speaker 2: And the pretty lights at night have you seen.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Yes, they change colors think season or whatever the holidays. Yeah,
- 10:21Speaker 1: and you know, so it's a it's a nice fixture.
- 10:23Speaker 1: But don't let the size of that fool you. These
- 10:26Speaker 1: are all hometown people working inside. These are your neighbors,
- 10:29Speaker 1: these are your friends, These are the people you see
- 10:30Speaker 1: at your kids events.
- 10:32Speaker 3: We live, work, and play in the community exactly exactly.
- 10:36Speaker 1: And I was gonna kind of hint into some of
- 10:38Speaker 1: the kind of neat safety features with Trudy Credit Union.
- 10:43Speaker 2: You're CEO, now, Aaron.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Aaron is really big on protecting things online. He came
- 10:53Speaker 1: up through that.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Yeah, he's got the IT background. Yeah he's super smart.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Yeah hopefully he heard that.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I'm sure he did. But the thing is, you know,
- 11:06Speaker 1: when you think of things that could possibly be compromised,
- 11:10Speaker 1: this is probably about the safest game you're going to
- 11:12Speaker 1: find because they work over time to make sure that
- 11:15Speaker 1: you're protected and that everyone's protected. And this is a
- 11:20Speaker 1: big element of trust. I think that some folks are
- 11:23Speaker 1: looking for.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Yeah, with the online theft going on nowadays, it's getting
- 11:30Speaker 3: more and more.
- 11:31Speaker 2: They're getting smarter and.
- 11:33Speaker 1: So we have to just step ahead of the game though.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I know we have to be and in order
- 11:38Speaker 3: to keep everybody safe. And so it's good that Aaron
- 11:41Speaker 3: has that background can help our it department, and he
- 11:47Speaker 3: just brings new ideas and so he's great.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Now with a lot of new businesses come into town,
- 11:54Speaker 1: I understand we're bringing more and more workers into town.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I see a lot of license fights from out of state,
- 12:00Speaker 1: and I keep seeing here for weeks on end there.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I hope they moved here. Yeah, now if they If
- 12:06Speaker 1: you haven't, if you're new in town, you're listening and
- 12:08Speaker 1: you haven't decided me, you know, just exactly where you're
- 12:12Speaker 1: going to put down your stakes. You might want to
- 12:16Speaker 1: just drop a call to Becky or set up something
- 12:19Speaker 1: online with Becky and and just kind of see what's
- 12:24Speaker 1: out there on the horizon. Yeah, it doesn't hurt anything
- 12:27Speaker 1: to talk.
- 12:28Speaker 3: No, just using Truity as a resource if you are
- 12:31Speaker 3: new to the area for anything, where to eat, sleep,
- 12:36Speaker 3: or play, you know, like Truity is a good resource.
- 12:39Speaker 3: A bunch of us can help with that with any questions.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Yeah, but sure, But if you're looking for a home
- 12:46Speaker 1: and how to procure one on your girl. You got
- 12:50Speaker 1: to see the mortgage development officer Becky Gaily and my
- 12:54Speaker 1: goodness and once again true to credit Union with two
- 12:57Speaker 1: different facilities here in town to serve you, one big,
- 13:00Speaker 1: beautiful one downtown and the one that's a really kind
- 13:03Speaker 1: of artsy out there on the southwest of Washington Boulevard.
- 13:07Speaker 1: You can't miss it. And again, the big news is
- 13:09Speaker 1: the rates are dropping. The rates are dropping.
- 13:13Speaker 3: They're the lowest they've been since early last year. So
- 13:16Speaker 3: it's exciting for me.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I mentioned so you know, it's it's one
- 13:23Speaker 1: of those things that when you take a look at that,
- 13:25Speaker 1: you say, oh, my gosh, they have been hyper a while,
- 13:28Speaker 1: haven't they. Yeah, And then you take a look at here,
- 13:31Speaker 1: it's like, well, finally the consumer gets a breakout of
- 13:33Speaker 1: all this.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Finally we've all been waiting for it, and it's happening.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Yeah, finally that COVID was nobody's friend. Now that's kind
- 13:41Speaker 1: of where this all kind of got genned up. Yes,
- 13:44Speaker 1: so we're good to have that out of the way.
- 13:47Speaker 1: What's the website, Becky, So.
- 13:49Speaker 3: You can go if you have questions about mortgages, just
- 13:52Speaker 3: go to TRUDYCU dot org slash b Gaily you can
- 13:56Speaker 3: do that.
- 13:57Speaker 1: And is there a big phone number where we can
- 14:00Speaker 1: just kind of check in and where can we Yeah, call.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Me at three three seven seven six two five.
- 14:06Speaker 1: All right, very good. Becky once again is the mortgage
- 14:10Speaker 1: development officer with the Truity Credit Union. And I can't
- 14:13Speaker 1: say it enough. The rates are dropping, so check into
- 14:17Speaker 1: it today. And remember now they're doing the FHA loans locally. Yes,
- 14:21Speaker 1: what's which haven't been done? Right? That's a great thing
- 14:24Speaker 1: and you're doing it with the power of a local
- 14:25Speaker 1: lender and a lot of community to follow. But thank
- 14:29Speaker 1: you for being our guest today. Yeah, on one on
- 14:31Speaker 1: one with the pro Trudy Credit Union. Great friend in
- 14:34Speaker 1: the community. All righty, folks, we've got our news coming
