- 0:00Speaker 1: How you doing. You look sweaty? Why are you sweaty?
- 0:02Speaker 2: So?
- 0:02Speaker 3: I worked out today right before the right before we
- 0:06Speaker 3: started recording, I jumped on. Like most people in the world,
- 0:09Speaker 3: I bought a Peloton bike.
- 0:11Speaker 1: All right, well not most people people that can afford
- 0:13Speaker 1: an expensive Peloton.
- 0:15Speaker 3: But well, according to the stock market, right, which is
- 0:19Speaker 3: failing right now, Peloton is the one product that is
- 0:23Speaker 3: succeeding in these troubling times.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Well yeah, so so yeah, because no one can go
- 0:28Speaker 1: to the gym and it's like a subscription thing, right,
- 0:30Speaker 1: So a.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Bunch of people, a bunch of people that bought Peloton bikes, right,
- 0:34Speaker 3: and I am now riding with you know those people.
- 0:37Speaker 1: How long do you go for forty five?
- 0:39Speaker 3: I did a thirty minute class just now. But this
- 0:42Speaker 3: dude kicked my ass.
- 0:43Speaker 4: You know.
- 0:43Speaker 3: The last time I did it, I had a you know,
- 0:46Speaker 3: I tried to pick a you know, we talked about this.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I don't have to dance around your words. You tried
- 0:51Speaker 1: to pick a hot chick.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I do have to dance around my words. I am,
- 0:56Speaker 3: I am.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I'm sure your wife knows that you tried to pick
- 0:59Speaker 1: a hot shick.
- 1:01Speaker 5: She does know, she well, she picked it. I kind
- 1:04Speaker 5: of tricked her into picking it, and she.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Was like, she was like, what do you want, Like,
- 1:08Speaker 1: I don't know. I prefer someone that looks a little
- 1:11Speaker 1: bit like.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Her, right, And so I complained after the workout about
- 1:18Speaker 3: how person talked too much and you know the stuff
- 1:21Speaker 3: you do when you want to deflect, and my wife
- 1:25Speaker 3: was like, well, I'll pick someone for you this time.
- 1:28Speaker 3: So she picked this dude who was like a dude
- 1:32Speaker 3: and was very commanding and everything like that and demanding.
- 1:36Speaker 1: What was that better for you? Was it a better workout?
- 1:39Speaker 5: It was a better workout for me.
- 1:40Speaker 3: But then I started thinking to myself, well, maybe I'm
- 1:42Speaker 3: playing this role wrong in my relationship with my wife.
- 1:46Speaker 3: She picked the dude that's like, now, get on the bike,
- 1:51Speaker 3: pedal faster, God damn it. But maybe that's pedal hard, motherfucker.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Maybe that's what you need.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Maybe I need to switch chump my style instead of
- 2:01Speaker 3: being the passive you know, gentle, you know, sensitive guy,
- 2:05Speaker 3: you know the guy who loves puppy dogs and moonbeams,
- 2:11Speaker 3: righty to be that motherfucker now saying well, I.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Think that's probably good for you. I gotta admit I
- 2:16Speaker 1: don't have a peloton bike. But if I got one,
- 2:18Speaker 1: I think I would probably pick the pretty attractive girl
- 2:22Speaker 1: to yell at me.
- 2:23Speaker 5: I'm never gonna pick the pretty attractive girl again.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I'm sure there's probably a pretty attractive girl who scream
- 2:28Speaker 1: at you if you want. But what you're saying is
- 2:29Speaker 1: you got better results from the dude who was like.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Pedal, mother pucker pedal right now, God damn it, you
- 2:37Speaker 3: ain't pedaling hard enough.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Right For me, it's all about the music if I
- 2:41Speaker 1: if the music's good. If I like the music, I
- 2:44Speaker 1: go to a spin class and I will go so hard.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But I can't get into it when it's like, when
- 2:49Speaker 1: it's music I don't like, I hate.
- 2:51Speaker 5: I know, I totally understand. I hate.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I hate getting on a bike and having to listen
- 2:54Speaker 3: to listen to something that I'm not in the mood too.
- 2:57Speaker 1: So did the angry guy have good music?
- 3:00Speaker 5: Raight up hip hop?
- 3:00Speaker 1: All it's perfect for you?
- 3:02Speaker 3: You love that it was straight up hip hop and
- 3:04Speaker 3: it was good hip hop too, DMX Little Wayne old
- 3:07Speaker 3: school Little Wayne.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Oh see that's perfect. See. I think I think that's
- 3:10Speaker 1: the key. Obviously. You want someone who's gonna push you
- 3:12Speaker 1: and be like, come, on you wimp.
- 3:14Speaker 5: You got this, but I can. I don't want you
- 3:16Speaker 5: to call me a wimp. You could call me a motherfucker,
- 3:18Speaker 5: but don't call me a wimp. You know what I mean.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Rather be called motherfucker than wimp.
- 3:22Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely, wow.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I gotta write that down. I'm learning new things about
- 3:26Speaker 1: you on this from.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Here on out, from here on out, if you want to,
- 3:28Speaker 3: if you want me to respond in a way that
- 3:30Speaker 3: it's positive.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Hey, motherfucker, what's up?
- 3:33Speaker 1: Do you want to count us into the theme song
- 3:36Speaker 1: as that guy?
- 3:37Speaker 5: All right, here we go. God damnit, n't get ready
- 3:40Speaker 5: for this? About six seven, ain't motherfucker.
- 3:43Speaker 6: Here's some stories I'm not sure we made about a
- 3:49Speaker 6: bunch of tops and nurses, and.
- 3:52Speaker 5: I said, here's a story, so get around you here. Yeah.
- 4:05Speaker 1: No, I'm so sorry everyone. I think that Donald has
- 4:10Speaker 1: lost his damn quarantine. Mind tell them what else you
- 4:16Speaker 1: bought for your kids? You sent me a video And
- 4:19Speaker 1: first of all, Donald's like, I'm running you know, he
- 4:22Speaker 1: doesn't have a pool at his house. He's like, I'm
- 4:23Speaker 1: running out of things for my kids to do. They're
- 4:25Speaker 1: going crazy. I got this, uh, this water thing from
- 4:27Speaker 1: them in the backyard. I pictured a kiddie pool. Dude,
- 4:31Speaker 1: you bought like a fucking you bought like a fucking
- 4:33Speaker 1: water park, an inflatable water park.
- 4:36Speaker 3: I bought an inflatable water park, and we set it up,
- 4:38Speaker 3: and I sincerely thought that these kids, like most kids,
- 4:42Speaker 3: were gonna spend the whole day in the water park.
- 4:44Speaker 1: How fast are they over it?
- 4:45Speaker 3: They were over it in forty five minutes. And we
- 4:48Speaker 3: spent so much money on this thing. Dude, it is
- 4:51Speaker 3: like this morning we were ready for the water park
- 4:53Speaker 3: and they were like, I'm good.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Describe it to people. It's it's the size of like
- 4:58Speaker 1: three cars.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Know, it's about the size of a nice big ass
- 5:01Speaker 3: pickup truck, like a big one, like a Ford, you know,
- 5:04Speaker 3: like the big ship, you know what I mean.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Right, And it's huge.
- 5:08Speaker 3: And also our backyard isn't grass, it's fake grass, right.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Entirement problem is underneath that, it's just hard and so
- 5:21Speaker 3: it's as you know, you climb up this big ass
- 5:23Speaker 3: ladder about ten feet up and then you slide down
- 5:26Speaker 3: the slide into the pool at the bottom and they're
- 5:30Speaker 3: sliding onto concrete. Now, granted, we did worse than that
- 5:33Speaker 3: when we were kids, but to watch my wife panic
- 5:36Speaker 3: and lose her shit.
- 5:37Speaker 5: It was a funny thing.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Every time the kid climbed up, every time the kid
- 5:40Speaker 3: slid down, she was like, I gotta go inside.
- 5:43Speaker 5: I'm I'm gonna have a heart attack out here.
- 5:46Speaker 1: And So, did you have a slipping slide when you're
- 5:48Speaker 1: a kid?
- 5:48Speaker 5: I mean yeah, we used to slip and slide on
- 5:51Speaker 5: concrete though, you know what I mean.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Wait in Manhattan, in the city.
- 5:54Speaker 5: Yeah, in the city.
- 5:55Speaker 3: So I grew up in a building that had a
- 5:57Speaker 3: big ass playground in the middle, like most buildings in
- 6:00Speaker 3: Manhattan when you live in tall buildings, and they had
- 6:03Speaker 3: and and and and you know, if somebody bought a
- 6:06Speaker 3: slip and slide, we'd put it down on the concrete
- 6:09Speaker 3: on the playgrounds.
- 6:11Speaker 1: That's so dangerous.
- 6:12Speaker 3: If you catch it right, it's fine. But if you
- 6:14Speaker 3: don't catch it right, yeah, you're gonna hit your head on.
- 6:16Speaker 1: The I don't remember a slipping slide ever being fun, Like,
- 6:18Speaker 1: there was so much fun in setting it up, and
- 6:21Speaker 1: then you'd go down at once and you'd be like,
- 6:22Speaker 1: ow wow.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Well that depends on it, right. If you don't know
- 6:25Speaker 3: how to slide, it hurts like it hurts.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I wonder if they still sell slipping sides because there's
- 6:29Speaker 1: sore be like lawsuits.
- 6:32Speaker 5: They've even padded them now, so a slipping slide is
- 6:34Speaker 5: now padded so that we running jump and dive, you can.
- 6:37Speaker 5: You got a little bit.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Of a kids today, Donald, they need it slipping slides.
- 6:43Speaker 1: When I was a kid, we hurt ourselves. I remember
- 6:46Speaker 1: setting it up on the lawn and my stepfather had
- 6:48Speaker 1: just spent a fortune, you know, residing the lawn. And
- 6:51Speaker 1: he came home and he was like, what the hell
- 6:54Speaker 1: did you do? And I was like, we're slipping slided
- 6:56Speaker 1: and he's like the law was all trashed and money
- 7:01Speaker 1: he had just met a fortune. Reshot it like it
- 7:04Speaker 1: looked like beautiful dream lawn, you know how like you
- 7:07Speaker 1: know some people are about.
- 7:08Speaker 5: Their line similar similar to how you were when my
- 7:11Speaker 5: wedding was over.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you trashed my one lawn, but you know what,
- 7:14Speaker 1: it was all in the name of love. I'll do
- 7:15Speaker 1: anything for you, You and your you and your family
- 7:18Speaker 1: can trash my lawn any day. You put down a
- 7:21Speaker 1: dance floor, yeah not a lawn, no, no, but on
- 7:25Speaker 1: on an area it was a botchy court, but now
- 7:27Speaker 1: it's a garden. But you put down a full. I
- 7:29Speaker 1: mean I was. I was shocked with the effort that
- 7:32Speaker 1: when it looked beautiful, and I was for a minute,
- 7:34Speaker 1: I was like we should keep it. And then people
- 7:36Speaker 1: were like, well, it's not really meant to be permanent.
- 7:38Speaker 5: It's like not like you know, you'd have a greenhouse
- 7:41Speaker 5: without any greens in it. Pretty much.
- 7:44Speaker 1: No, I mean, I didn't mean they tinted it because
- 7:46Speaker 1: there was there was gonna rain, but like they put
- 7:48Speaker 1: down this beautiful flooring, okay for your wedding, and I
- 7:51Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, maybe I should keep that.
- 7:53Speaker 1: And then as someone told me like, no, it's it's
- 7:55Speaker 1: meant it's not weatherproof. It's meant to be like you know,
- 7:57Speaker 1: last a weekend. So uh so we we took it down.
- 8:00Speaker 1: But god, your wedding was really beautiful.
- 8:02Speaker 3: I gotta say, well, dude, thank you very much for
- 8:05Speaker 3: helping us out there. Man, you the cost of the
- 8:08Speaker 3: wedding dropped dramatically when you said you could do it
- 8:10Speaker 3: in my backyard.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Well I was so happy to be able to do
- 8:14Speaker 1: that for you. And it was a beautiful ceremony and
- 8:16Speaker 1: I'll never forget it. It was the way you guys did.
- 8:19Speaker 1: The designer of it the whoever did all the decor
- 8:22Speaker 1: and everything. It was like almost like a farm, like
- 8:23Speaker 1: a farm vibes, you know, like farm.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Tables, and it was We tried to make it country
- 8:28Speaker 5: meet soul.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Yeah, country meats. So I remember there was a gospel
- 8:32Speaker 1: There was a lot of music. There was a gospel choir.
- 8:34Speaker 1: What did they sing. They sang a song from Sesame Street.
- 8:37Speaker 5: No, they sang a song from the Muppets. Everything is great,
- 8:41Speaker 5: everything is grand. I got the whole wide world in
- 8:45Speaker 5: the palm of my hand. Everything is perfect. It's falling
- 8:50Speaker 5: into place. I can't seem to wipe this smile off
- 8:54Speaker 5: my face. Life's a happy song when there's someone by
- 8:58Speaker 5: my side to sing along.
- 9:00Speaker 1: That's so beautiful. That's so beautiful. How did you guys
- 9:04Speaker 1: pick that? I mean, I never heard anyone I picked.
- 9:06Speaker 3: I picked that song. So the new Muppet movie had
- 9:10Speaker 3: come out. I guess it had been out, I guess.
- 9:12Speaker 3: But the music from that movie obviously is amazing. It
- 9:14Speaker 3: won an Oscar. But that song is the I believe
- 9:18Speaker 3: it's the first song of the movie, and so it's
- 9:22Speaker 3: the number one number. And Muppet songs are always dope.
- 9:27Speaker 3: The Rainbow Connection, you.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Know, I mean, I had never heard that song. And
- 9:31Speaker 1: just just so people can picture it, I had told
- 9:33Speaker 1: all my neighbors like, we're gonna have a big ass wedding,
- 9:37Speaker 1: and I sent them like little gift baskets, and I
- 9:41Speaker 1: sent them a letter saying, hey, it's gonna be loud.
- 9:43Speaker 1: We'll be done by midnight. You know, I hope everybody's cool,
- 9:47Speaker 1: but I was anxious because you know, my neighborhood is
- 9:51Speaker 1: the sound bounces around, so everyone was. Everyone was coming
- 9:53Speaker 1: to this wedding, whether they wanted to or not. Right,
- 9:56Speaker 1: and and so that's all set up and it's all
- 9:59Speaker 1: quiet and all, and then the gospel choir comes and
- 10:02Speaker 1: it's time for that moment and they.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Turned just me walking out for that, right, so they
- 10:07Speaker 5: turned but they but they.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Turn on the mics. And I had never in my
- 10:12Speaker 1: mind imagined it was gonna be this loud. And granted
- 10:14Speaker 1: it was beautiful and amazing, but as the neurotic homeowner,
- 10:17Speaker 1: I was like, oh shit, these people are gonna be
- 10:19Speaker 1: so pissed. But maybe they weren't, because it's amazing.
- 10:23Speaker 4: We weren't.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I guess there were were they acquired. It was like
- 10:25Speaker 1: six people. I don't know if six.
- 10:26Speaker 5: People, but they were.
- 10:27Speaker 1: But anyway, this this amazing gospel group sang that song
- 10:31Speaker 1: and it just it just reverberated. It was beautiful. It
- 10:35Speaker 1: bounced everywhere all over the whole neighborhood. And I was like,
- 10:39Speaker 1: this is I was. I just it was magical. I
- 10:41Speaker 1: got tears in my eyes.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Yeah, so I got to ask my wife what the
- 10:44Speaker 3: name of the band was? The name of the group was,
- 10:47Speaker 3: But also they when she came down the owl, I
- 10:50Speaker 3: can't sing this song for anything because Beyonce sings it.
- 10:53Speaker 1: But you can sing better than Beyonce.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Don I wish.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Oh my god, you should have seen Joel's face. Everybody.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Joelle made a face like how dare you, sir?
- 11:04Speaker 5: Mind?
- 11:05Speaker 1: Joelle's face was like I will not Joelle's Joel's face
- 11:09Speaker 1: was like, I will not be a part of this podcast.
- 11:18Speaker 6: Yo.
- 11:19Speaker 5: It's funny.
- 11:20Speaker 3: It's just like the character Joel when Eddie Murphy makes
- 11:23Speaker 3: fun of Stevie wan Day and the dude comes up
- 11:24Speaker 3: to Stevie wanted to Stevie wanted some musical changes.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Scott, Damn, you can't joke about Beyonce. You cannot. You
- 11:33Speaker 1: can't even say jokingly. Donald Faison sings better than people
- 11:36Speaker 1: like Joelle, like lose their breath.
- 11:38Speaker 5: That's about We lost about seventy five listeners just now.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Yeah. People were like, I love the podcast, but Donald
- 11:46Speaker 1: better than Beyonce. Fuck y'all, she's on Queen Crubs. Fuck
- 11:52Speaker 1: Donald's is she here, Queen Joel?
- 11:57Speaker 5: She is listen.
- 11:58Speaker 2: She has the hottest checkout right now.
- 12:00Speaker 5: She just released a new one, Megan the Stallion. I
- 12:02Speaker 5: believe the track was dope before Beyonce truly truly elevated it,
- 12:09Speaker 5: just like that.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Ed Sharon record got elevated after Beyonce got on it. Dude, Yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 3: no doubt, no doubt.
- 12:14Speaker 5: Beyonce. Beyonce be lacing people.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Man, I'm telling you right now, there are people that
- 12:19Speaker 3: have songs and the song will be really good. And
- 12:22Speaker 3: then she sings a Verse on it, and all of
- 12:24Speaker 3: a sudden, the song is a top five on the
- 12:26Speaker 3: Billboard charts. Man, Like that Ed Sharon song was dope,
- 12:29Speaker 3: and it was. It was already on the Billboard charts
- 12:32Speaker 3: for a long time. And then she sang on it
- 12:34Speaker 3: and it's and and it broke even more records thanks
- 12:36Speaker 3: to her.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Man.
- 12:37Speaker 3: I met her once, you know, so did I, and
- 12:39Speaker 3: you were like, good. I met her once, well, I
- 12:41Speaker 3: met her several times. We're not together, Yeah, we were,
- 12:44Speaker 3: and you were like, yo, that's Beyonce.
- 12:45Speaker 5: I was like, that's not Beyonce.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Are you talking about it? At the restaurant bar no
- 12:50Speaker 1: name in Hollywood?
- 12:51Speaker 5: No, no, no Beyonce. Way before that, we went out
- 12:54Speaker 5: one night to.
- 12:55Speaker 1: A poor Please respect my father and call her beonce.
- 12:58Speaker 5: I don't, yes, Beyonce. We went out.
- 13:01Speaker 1: We went something else.
- 13:04Speaker 3: We went out to a Ferrari party or something like that.
- 13:08Speaker 3: You me raiding and Carrie Brothers, and Beyonce was there
- 13:11Speaker 3: with somebody. This is well before Jovah, well before all
- 13:14Speaker 3: of that. This is early on in scrubb.
- 13:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and uh I remember you guys being like, go
- 13:21Speaker 3: say hi to her, and I was like, get the
- 13:22Speaker 3: fuck out of here. That's Beyonce, dude. And this is
- 13:25Speaker 3: before she even had the solo record or anything like that.
- 13:27Speaker 3: She was still with Destiny's Child. And I was still like, Joe,
- 13:31Speaker 3: I can't.
- 13:31Speaker 5: I'm you know what if I say hi and she says,
- 13:35Speaker 5: get the fuck out of here. And so finally she
- 13:37Speaker 5: looked at me.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Maybe she was single, Oh dude.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Finally she looked at me and she goes hi and
- 13:42Speaker 3: gives me the look like motherfuckers say hi, dude. Oh shit,
- 13:46Speaker 3: we're the only black people at this party.
- 13:49Speaker 1: That was the look. The look was where the only
- 13:51Speaker 1: black people?
- 13:52Speaker 5: What are you doing? And I was like, oh shit,
- 13:56Speaker 5: my bad, hey, how you doing?
- 13:59Speaker 1: I don't remember that.
- 14:01Speaker 5: That's funny A long time ago, dude. So you just
- 14:04Speaker 5: said hi, and I just said hi, and I walked
- 14:06Speaker 5: and we walked away.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Listen, man, I played myself to so many of these
- 14:10Speaker 3: lovely ladies in Hollywood that I decided I will never
- 14:13Speaker 3: do that again.
- 14:14Speaker 5: Like I played myself. You saw a heart, I went
- 14:17Speaker 5: after Casey.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I've done things that are so stupid that I was like,
- 14:22Speaker 3: what was I thinking When I look back at it?
- 14:24Speaker 5: Now you know what I mean.
- 14:25Speaker 1: You mean like you should have taken your shot.
- 14:27Speaker 3: No, like I shouldn't have taken a shot at all. Oh,
- 14:30Speaker 3: because I sounded like an idiot. I did take my show.
- 14:33Speaker 1: We all have those flinch moments where you're like, oh,
- 14:35Speaker 1: that was that was right. But I was in a
- 14:38Speaker 1: restaurant bar called No Name that since closed, run by
- 14:42Speaker 1: my friend Brian Ling on Fairfax in Hollywood, and it
- 14:46Speaker 1: was like a cool restaurant bar, and upstairs on like
- 14:50Speaker 1: a mezzanine, there was a private area where you could
- 14:53Speaker 1: have a private dinner party or you could have a
- 14:54Speaker 1: small cocktail party. And if you went past that room,
- 14:59Speaker 1: there was a another room. So we were headed to
- 15:01Speaker 1: that room, he and I and somebody else, and I
- 15:03Speaker 1: cam up the stairs and I come around the corner
- 15:05Speaker 1: and they are just seated alone at this private table
- 15:09Speaker 1: was Beyonce and jay Z. And they looked up and
- 15:12Speaker 1: they stared at me, and I stared back at them,
- 15:15Speaker 1: and they had big smiles in their faces like saying hi.
- 15:18Speaker 1: But I was like, I was in pol of shocked.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I really was.
- 15:20Speaker 5: I froze, that's that's royalty, man. They got that. They
- 15:23Speaker 5: got that glow man, they got that Bruce Leroy.
- 15:25Speaker 1: But it was also like you come, you come around
- 15:27Speaker 1: to bend and you're not expecting to see like there's
- 15:29Speaker 1: no one else in the room. I mean, it was
- 15:30Speaker 1: just Beyonce and jay Z having private dinner. And I
- 15:33Speaker 1: was like and I just walked in like hi. Of course,
- 15:36Speaker 1: I said, oh, I said, I'm so sorry interrupt high
- 15:39Speaker 1: and they were like, hey, how are you? And I
- 15:40Speaker 1: said I'm good. Uh you guys are awesome. I'm gonna,
- 15:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna, I'm gonna keep moving.
- 15:47Speaker 2: You know.
- 15:47Speaker 1: They were very sweet. They obviously smiled and laughed at
- 15:50Speaker 1: me because I was like a nervous wreck.
- 15:52Speaker 5: I played myself so many times with jay Z. It's ridiculous, like,
- 15:55Speaker 5: come on in.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Like there's certain people on my list of people that
- 15:59Speaker 3: I think are you know the shiz, and he's one
- 16:02Speaker 3: of them. Him, Michael Jordan, you know, Denzel Washington, Harrison Ford,
- 16:07Speaker 3: you know Billy D.
- 16:09Speaker 5: Billy D Williams.
- 16:10Speaker 3: When it comes to athletes, I have a lot of
- 16:12Speaker 3: athletes on my list, but I don't have a lot
- 16:14Speaker 3: of rappers on my list where I see them and
- 16:16Speaker 3: I'm like, holy shit.
- 16:17Speaker 5: I used to be like that, but then I grew
- 16:19Speaker 5: out of that face.
- 16:19Speaker 1: If there's one athlete you could meet and not just me,
- 16:22Speaker 1: If there's one athlete that would be like, Donald, let's
- 16:24Speaker 1: go get a drink. I want to get to know
- 16:25Speaker 1: you better.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Who would it be, oh Man, Well, he's no longer
- 16:29Speaker 3: with us, But that's Kobe Bryant. That's an easy one.
- 16:32Speaker 3: I met Michael Jordan once and that was cool, and
- 16:34Speaker 3: I met Kobe several times. But there was something special
- 16:37Speaker 3: about Kobe Bryant that was like, you know, I mean,
- 16:41Speaker 3: and Michael Jordan too. But you know, when I first
- 16:45Speaker 3: moved out to La, Kobe Bryant was just getting you know,
- 16:50Speaker 3: he just arrived and I got to meet him way
- 16:53Speaker 3: before he played basketball and.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Stuff and what even before he played basketball.
- 16:58Speaker 3: So La is a small town, react like it's a
- 17:01Speaker 3: huge Hollywood is huge and stuff like that. But you
- 17:03Speaker 3: run into people in La. And one of my friends
- 17:08Speaker 3: was not dating Shaea Brian, but was hanging out with
- 17:11Speaker 3: Shya Brian.
- 17:12Speaker 5: And so Shaea would come over to my apartment like
- 17:15Speaker 5: all the.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Time, and we would you know, hang out and you know,
- 17:17Speaker 3: go to the movies or go to Magic Mountain stuff
- 17:21Speaker 3: like that. And one day she comes over. We're going
- 17:23Speaker 3: to Magic Mountain and she comes over and she's like, Yo,
- 17:26Speaker 3: my brother's outside.
- 17:27Speaker 5: He wants to talk to you. And I was like,
- 17:28Speaker 5: oh shit, why did your brother want to talk to me?
- 17:31Speaker 1: But he wasn't famous yet, No, everybody kne who.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Kobe Bryan was. At this point.
- 17:35Speaker 3: He had taken Brandy to the prom, you know what
- 17:37Speaker 3: I mean. And I'm like, oh man, oh wow, okay.
- 17:42Speaker 3: So I go outside and he had broken his arm
- 17:46Speaker 3: playing basketball at the beach at Venice Beach, at the
- 17:49Speaker 3: court on Venice Beach, right, so he had the cast on.
- 17:52Speaker 3: I remember when he broke his arm. I remember thinking,
- 17:55Speaker 3: come on, man, you've got this contract coming up. What
- 17:57Speaker 3: are you doing playing basketball at Venice Beach.
- 18:01Speaker 5: That was what my thought was. When I saw him
- 18:03Speaker 5: with the cast I was like, oh, ship, he got
- 18:05Speaker 5: the cast on? Yo, Like it was.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Because you heard about it?
- 18:10Speaker 5: Yeah, I heard about it.
- 18:11Speaker 1: But I was like, yo, yo, did you think he
- 18:16Speaker 1: was gonna let you sign it?
- 18:17Speaker 4: No?
- 18:18Speaker 5: No, no, but but I did.
- 18:19Speaker 3: But I definitely thought. I was like, this dude's about
- 18:21Speaker 3: to tell me, you know, I better respect his sister
- 18:24Speaker 3: and all of that stuff. And there was nothing going
- 18:27Speaker 3: on with me and his sister. So I go outside
- 18:29Speaker 3: and he's like, hey, man, how you doing. I just
- 18:30Speaker 3: wanted to meet you. You know you're going to Magic
- 18:33Speaker 3: Mim with my sister. I just wanted to meet you
- 18:34Speaker 3: to make sure you know that you was looking for
- 18:38Speaker 3: for a sister, right.
- 18:40Speaker 1: That's cool story.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Yeah, But I ran into him several times after that.
- 18:44Speaker 3: But I just when I first moved to l A,
- 18:46Speaker 3: Kobe Bryant was in l A also.
- 18:50Speaker 1: It's so tragic.
- 18:51Speaker 5: I keep it's like, it's unbelievable. I just want you
- 18:55Speaker 5: all to know, man, I loved Kobe Bryant like I
- 18:57Speaker 5: loved Kobe Bryant. I named my kid Kobe.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I know, I know, and just you know, God, I
- 19:03Speaker 1: see the love. There's all these amazing murals all over town.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I'm sure you've seen him. Yeah, he was one of
- 19:08Speaker 1: the most beloved people in the country, probably the world,
- 19:11Speaker 1: maybe world. So we switched tones the end of the episode.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Let's do it, we You know, this is an episode
- 19:18Speaker 3: with It was directed by Mark Bucklin, written by Mark Stegman.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah, two Marks, two Marks, uh my blind date.
- 19:27Speaker 5: Yes. Mark Stegman is a great writer, great friend.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Yeah, guy, I believe you went to write on Community
- 19:34Speaker 1: after US and some other shows and Mark Bucklin. I
- 19:39Speaker 1: really think Mark Bucklin, I'm going to say it now
- 19:41Speaker 1: in nine years one of by far one of our
- 19:44Speaker 1: top directors.
- 19:45Speaker 5: Yeah, well that's easy.
- 19:47Speaker 1: This episode is is not to not to say as
- 19:50Speaker 1: a director, but as a director, this episode is incredibly directed.
- 19:54Speaker 5: Well well well directed that it really makes up. I
- 19:57Speaker 5: know we're going to get to it.
- 19:58Speaker 1: But yeah, that's a really cool woner for those of
- 20:01Speaker 1: you who don't know what a wonner is, it's when
- 20:03Speaker 1: the camera never cuts so there's no edit. It's a
- 20:05Speaker 1: long one shot that moves around and involves lots of choreography,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and it often takes a lot of times to get
- 20:11Speaker 1: it right, and it's just done really well.
- 20:16Speaker 5: But this episode is amazing.
- 20:18Speaker 1: I really want to say. You know, the thing about
- 20:19Speaker 1: TV directing is these guys and gals who do this.
- 20:22Speaker 1: You come in, you have to execute your vision, but
- 20:27Speaker 1: in the tone of the style that's been established by
- 20:31Speaker 1: the showrunner and by whoever directed the pilot. In this case,
- 20:34Speaker 1: Adam Bernstein, the showrunner and the pilot director was sort
- 20:37Speaker 1: of set. This is the look of this show. It
- 20:40Speaker 1: has this vibe. The camera can move like this. This
- 20:43Speaker 1: this is the sort of tools you can use, and
- 20:45Speaker 1: that now you go do it. So for a director
- 20:47Speaker 1: to stand out, it's tricky. You got how you can
- 20:51Speaker 1: put your own stamp on it, because otherwise it's just
- 20:53Speaker 1: kind of like, Okay, I'm here to execute someone else's
- 20:56Speaker 1: someone else's vision. But someone like Mark Bucklin, with his
- 21:00Speaker 1: level of talent, really does stand out. I was watching
- 21:02Speaker 1: this before I even knew that it was Mark. I
- 21:05Speaker 1: was watching going, Oh, someone good directed this. I can
- 21:07Speaker 1: tell already. There's just a he finds a way to
- 21:10Speaker 1: put his own stamp on it, and I looked it
- 21:13Speaker 1: up because I haven't seen Mark years. Also a really
- 21:15Speaker 1: good card magician, if you remember that, Donald Yeah.
- 21:18Speaker 5: Also a very great ping pong player.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember that. But during downtime he would do
- 21:22Speaker 1: these insane card tricks. He was one of those guys.
- 21:24Speaker 1: He's he's doing a show called He produces and directs
- 21:26Speaker 1: a show called Stumptown with great show. Do you watch it?
- 21:29Speaker 5: It's on the ABC lineup with the new ABC lineup.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Kobe Kobe smolders, Yeah, yeah.
- 21:36Speaker 3: As you know, I do a television show for ABC
- 21:40Speaker 3: called Emergence.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Emergence, Yes, And when are we finding out if we're
- 21:43Speaker 1: getting a season two?
- 21:44Speaker 5: We have no idea.
- 21:45Speaker 3: I don't even know if Stumptown knows if they're getting
- 21:47Speaker 3: a season two yet or if or and if they do,
- 21:50Speaker 3: then probably we didn't get it.
- 21:52Speaker 1: But all I know when, when when does ABC tell
- 21:56Speaker 1: you that?
- 21:57Speaker 5: I tell you things are different right now, man, life
- 21:59Speaker 5: is right now. Nothing is the same. I'm supposed to
- 22:02Speaker 5: find out.
- 22:03Speaker 3: We were supposed to find like Upfronts is the fourteenth
- 22:05Speaker 3: or something like that, so we should be finding out soon.
- 22:08Speaker 1: But I don't know will you be doling out drunken
- 22:10Speaker 1: noogies at this year's upfronts.
- 22:12Speaker 5: I've learned my lesson. I did.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I Yo, you know what, last year, I did crash
- 22:15Speaker 3: the NBC Upfront. I did crash that and that was
- 22:18Speaker 3: a lot of fun to do anyway.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Mark Bucklin also, just to finish my Mark Bucklin research,
- 22:25Speaker 1: won an Emmy for directing the pilot of My Name
- 22:28Speaker 1: is Earl oh Nice. Yeah. So he's a very talented fellow,
- 22:31Speaker 1: very very very tin and I just wanted to say
- 22:33Speaker 1: that that I really notice how good he is. So
- 22:37Speaker 1: this episode has a lot of good stuff in it. Man,
- 22:40Speaker 1: this is a good one.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Mm hmm, this one's a great one. I laughed aloud.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I laughed out loud. None none harder than Kelso. When
- 22:47Speaker 3: Kelso go she goes doctor Kelso, I'm not going to
- 22:50Speaker 3: sue the hospital, and he goes oh and then just
- 22:53Speaker 3: walks out.
- 22:54Speaker 1: He just leaves. Elizabeth Bogush was a guest star. Didn't
- 22:59Speaker 1: arc really talented gal and she this was JD's first.
- 23:05Speaker 5: First love interest. Yeah, yeah, I was gonna say that.
- 23:07Speaker 1: And I was just going through the rest of season one.
- 23:09Speaker 1: I think she's the only I could be wrong, so
- 23:12Speaker 1: sorry if you know better than I do, but she's
- 23:13Speaker 1: the only love interest before Sarah and I start a relationship. Really, really, Joel,
- 23:20Speaker 1: isn't that what happens? Uh?
- 23:22Speaker 5: I'm not aware. I haven't gone forward.
- 23:24Speaker 1: What Joel might know or she can look it up.
- 23:26Speaker 1: But I think what happens is there's three episodes with
- 23:29Speaker 1: Liz Bogish and then uh, and then Elliott and I
- 23:33Speaker 1: start our our thing. I think that's what. Okay, good see,
- 23:37Speaker 1: I was right, Donald. I did my research. I did
- 23:39Speaker 1: a lot of research for this episode. I I want
- 23:42Speaker 1: the fans to know I did. I got trivia? Do
- 23:45Speaker 1: you want to know the trivia?
- 23:46Speaker 2: Right?
- 23:46Speaker 1: To start off? The right? Off the bat?
- 23:47Speaker 5: It's a good one, go for yours.
- 23:49Speaker 1: So so, so Cox is trying to get his perfect game?
- 23:53Speaker 5: All right, I gotta ask you a question before you
- 23:55Speaker 5: do the trivia? Then? Did you know what the perfect
- 23:57Speaker 5: game was before we started doing it? Before the show?
- 24:00Speaker 1: I know what a perfect picture game is. Yeah, I
- 24:02Speaker 1: know it's happened. My brother's My brother is a baseball fanatic.
- 24:05Speaker 1: My father was a baseball fanatic, so I know some things.
- 24:08Speaker 5: So and you don't talk to the picture.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Well, now that I didn't know, and I wanted to
- 24:11Speaker 1: talk to you about that, because first of all, how
- 24:13Speaker 1: the fuck does JD know that? I mean, JD doesn't
- 24:15Speaker 1: know anything about sports. We hammer home in every episode,
- 24:17Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, JD's whispering like you know
- 24:20Speaker 1: stuff about never you know that you don't talk to
- 24:23Speaker 1: the picture during a game, So tell me about this
- 24:25Speaker 1: real quick.
- 24:26Speaker 5: This is a thing.
- 24:27Speaker 1: If the pictures doing really well in a game, you
- 24:29Speaker 1: don't talk to him like in the in the in
- 24:30Speaker 1: the dugout.
- 24:31Speaker 5: Them, Yeah, you don't. You leave him alone. You don't
- 24:34Speaker 5: say anything to him and let him.
- 24:35Speaker 1: You don't even give him a butt tap.
- 24:38Speaker 5: No, you don't say. Look, you don't want to be
- 24:40Speaker 5: the reason that his rhythm all of a sudden falls off.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Well what if I'm throwing a perfect game and I'm like,
- 24:44Speaker 1: holy shit in my head, I'm like I'm fucking killing this.
- 24:47Speaker 1: And then I go into the dugout and I get
- 24:48Speaker 1: no butt taps and I'm like, oh, why are they
- 24:51Speaker 1: tapping my butt? And then I start and then I
- 24:53Speaker 1: start spiraling, no butt taps.
- 24:56Speaker 3: I'm gonna fuck it up now and then, and it'd
- 24:59Speaker 3: be your fault that you fucked it up, not their fault,
- 25:01Speaker 3: because so they ignore they tap you on the button,
- 25:04Speaker 3: you'll and then you don't have a perfect game.
- 25:06Speaker 5: You could be like, motherfucker, why.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Do you tap me on the bice So, so that's
- 25:10Speaker 1: the thing. You just ce him. You don't talk to him.
- 25:13Speaker 5: You let that person do what they gotta do to
- 25:15Speaker 5: get that.
- 25:16Speaker 1: See that, I didn't know that. I didn't know, And
- 25:18Speaker 1: I find it hilarious that JD did know.
- 25:20Speaker 5: Because it's hilarious.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Why did even Joel wrote that down in her note,
- 25:24Speaker 1: She's like, how the hell does JD know all this
- 25:26Speaker 1: stuff about? All right, here's a little trivia for you.
- 25:30Speaker 5: Ready, Okay, let's do it.
- 25:31Speaker 1: There's twenty seven patients that in the ICU that doctor
- 25:36Speaker 1: Cox is trying to keep alive through midnight. Do you
- 25:39Speaker 1: know why twenty seven?
- 25:42Speaker 5: I don't.
- 25:42Speaker 1: There's twenty seven outs in nine innings.
- 25:47Speaker 3: Holy shit, Mark, ladies and gentlemen, slow clap, slow clap,
- 25:52Speaker 3: clap for Zach Braff.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Why I didn't? It's not my trivia. I got enough
- 25:56Speaker 1: scrubs wiki, but but don know I don't know if
- 26:00Speaker 1: Mark Stegman gets that.
- 26:02Speaker 5: But way to go, JD, Way to go, Zach.
- 26:09Speaker 1: I didn't.
- 26:10Speaker 5: I didn't.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I didn't figure that out. I read that, So don't
- 26:12Speaker 1: be too proud of me. I don't even know if
- 26:15Speaker 1: that's what we give Mark Stegman credit for that. Let's
- 26:17Speaker 1: ask Bill. That's a good Bill question. Bill, you're not
- 26:19Speaker 1: gonna remember and he's Bill's gonna be like it was me,
- 26:21Speaker 1: that was me. No, but Bill, it's very clever that
- 26:24Speaker 1: there's twenty seven patients and there's twenty seven ounce in
- 26:26Speaker 1: nine innings. Who came up with that?
- 26:28Speaker 7: Twenty seven outs in a ball game to save in
- 26:30Speaker 7: twenty seven patients came around because the episode started with
- 26:35Speaker 7: doctor Cox wanting to have a perfect game, you know,
- 26:37Speaker 7: and a perfect game in baseball, Zach, which is a sport,
- 26:41Speaker 7: is not only does no one get a hit, but
- 26:45Speaker 7: nobody even gets a walk or gets on base with
- 26:48Speaker 7: an air So it's not just a no hitter, it's
- 26:50Speaker 7: a perfect game. You only face twenty seven batters.
- 26:54Speaker 5: That's it, all right? So Death's back, played by the
- 26:58Speaker 5: wonderful Randa Winston.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Yeah, Death is back by Randall Winston. Now I don't
- 27:02Speaker 1: mean to take a dig at Randall, but.
- 27:05Speaker 5: Listen, man, I love Randold of Death, but with all
- 27:09Speaker 5: my heart, now, don't.
- 27:09Speaker 1: I don't think if Randall was auditioning he would have
- 27:11Speaker 1: gotten this role because death isn't the best you guys.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I love Randal to death, but if if SAG actors
- 27:22Speaker 1: had auditioned for this part, we probably could have gotten
- 27:24Speaker 1: a better fucking performance.
- 27:26Speaker 5: Oh that's horrible that you say that, dude.
- 27:28Speaker 1: No, I'm sorry.
- 27:29Speaker 5: But for those of you who.
- 27:30Speaker 3: Don't know, Randall Winston is uh the line producer on
- 27:34Speaker 3: Scrub was the line producer at the time on Scrubs.
- 27:37Speaker 3: He's since gone on to be an executive producer on Killing.
- 27:42Speaker 3: He directs now.
- 27:43Speaker 5: He's very He's a very very.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Established UH producer slash director in on television right now. Also,
- 27:53Speaker 3: he married my wife and I in uh Zach's backyard.
- 27:56Speaker 2: He was the.
- 27:59Speaker 1: I forgot you were married by death?
- 28:00Speaker 3: Yeah, married by death in your backyard. Randa Winston is
- 28:05Speaker 3: one of my all time favorite people.
- 28:08Speaker 5: So don't you death. It's like it's like Joel and Beyonce.
- 28:11Speaker 5: Don't do death. Say I'm bad you.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Made a face like Joelle made. Listen, I just want
- 28:17Speaker 1: to say I love the guy to death. He's an
- 28:19Speaker 1: extremely talented producer. I don't know that acting is necessarily
- 28:23Speaker 1: his forte but boy, but listen, uh, Death talks to
- 28:29Speaker 1: his daughter. I don't know that any in any art
- 28:31Speaker 1: form I've ever seen Death's daughter, But there she is.
- 28:36Speaker 1: She's in a girl scout outfit, trying to sell her
- 28:39Speaker 1: her cookies.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Right, well, that's why Death's occupied. He's selling cookies. It's
- 28:43Speaker 3: pretty funny to try to help doctor Cox out.
- 28:46Speaker 1: He's a Death says something like she's in second place,
- 28:49Speaker 1: and if the first place girl keeps winning.
- 28:52Speaker 5: We're just gonna take her take.
- 28:59Speaker 1: In the ICU, where there's a lot of the scene
- 29:01Speaker 1: takes place, there's a lot of amazing camera work. At
- 29:03Speaker 1: one sixteen, there's a cool three sixty pan. It's always
- 29:07Speaker 1: challenging for the cinematographer and filmmakers to light when there's
- 29:11Speaker 1: no place to put the lights and when the camera
- 29:14Speaker 1: is steady camming. For those of who don't know what
- 29:16Speaker 1: that is, it's I think we've mentioned it before. It's
- 29:18Speaker 1: it's this rig that mounts on a steady cam operator's
- 29:21Speaker 1: body and it allows him or her to move around
- 29:24Speaker 1: and it gives it and they can run and do
- 29:26Speaker 1: all these cool shots and the camera always looks like
- 29:28Speaker 1: it's floating. A lot of Scrubs was shot on a
- 29:30Speaker 1: steadycam because of all the quick walking and running around,
- 29:34Speaker 1: and sorry to digress, our steady cam operator has a
- 29:39Speaker 1: cameo in this episode. Did you recognize Charles Pappard Don.
- 29:42Speaker 5: Where was peppert At?
- 29:43Speaker 4: Oh?
- 29:43Speaker 5: Yeah, he was the guy on the MRI.
- 29:45Speaker 1: He's the MRI tag when the MRI goes awry and
- 29:49Speaker 1: you see a guy freaking out by the way, speaking
- 29:51Speaker 1: of people who aren't actors giving a decent performance, I
- 29:53Speaker 1: thought Charles did a wonderful job.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Yeah, you know Charles Pappard. Every time I run into
- 29:58Speaker 3: Charles Pappard, Yes, every time I run into him, he's like,
- 30:03Speaker 3: He'll introduce me to the people on his in his
- 30:06Speaker 3: camera crew, and he'll be like, tell him the song,
- 30:09Speaker 3: and I'd be like, what, like, sing them the song?
- 30:12Speaker 3: They I've told everybody about the song. I was like,
- 30:14Speaker 3: are you fucking serious right now? He's like, sing them
- 30:17Speaker 3: the song.
- 30:17Speaker 1: It's the Transformer's melody. But I don't remember the words.
- 30:20Speaker 5: You remember the words, Charles Pappard All balls and no shaft.
- 30:27Speaker 1: All balls and no shaft. Yeah. I love that he's
- 30:35Speaker 1: I like the show. I love that he's begging you
- 30:38Speaker 1: to sing a song to his friends about how he's
- 30:40Speaker 1: all balls and no shafts, all balls, no shaft.
- 30:43Speaker 5: He begs me to. It's like he says to them,
- 30:46Speaker 5: So Donald Faison's coming in the day. He has a
- 30:49Speaker 5: special song about me.
- 30:50Speaker 1: I want to say that what's funny about that song
- 30:52Speaker 1: is that it's the Transformer's melody but and sung very
- 30:56Speaker 1: softly like a ballad. But it's it's but it's all
- 30:59Speaker 1: balls and no chef. Anyway. Charles Pappert was our study
- 31:09Speaker 1: cam operator and he uh plays the MRI I tech
- 31:13Speaker 1: and I thought he did a wonderful job.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Thought he does an amazing job in the episode. He
- 31:17Speaker 3: also is amazing. He's an amazing steady cam and normal
- 31:20Speaker 3: cam operator. I've worked with him several times since then.
- 31:23Speaker 1: And maybe he's had some you know, a surgery to
- 31:26Speaker 1: adjust his lack.
- 31:27Speaker 5: Of justice his situation.
- 31:30Speaker 1: He uh, he didn't get like a shaft extender. Is
- 31:33Speaker 1: that a thing?
- 31:34Speaker 5: I once asked Real j D about that. I was like, yo,
- 31:37Speaker 5: so what is this about? This penis enlarging stuff? You
- 31:40Speaker 5: don't need that.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Why the hell are you asking about that?
- 31:43Speaker 5: Listen, man, everybody wants to be.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Do you remember in the in the episode of Bahamas.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Do you remember in the episode of Bahamas when I
- 31:50Speaker 1: when I thought I saw an eel?
- 31:52Speaker 5: Yeah, and it was my It was me.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I'll not know.
- 31:55Speaker 1: We're gonna go and break while you guys think about
- 31:56Speaker 1: Donald's eel and we're back speaking of your eel. My
- 32:08Speaker 1: girlfriend's mom was facetiming me about this about our podcast
- 32:12Speaker 1: because she listens, and she was like, I really like it,
- 32:14Speaker 1: but you guys talk about your willies too much. And
- 32:20Speaker 1: I as we began to talk about your eel, I
- 32:23Speaker 1: I was hearing my girlfriend's mom talking, telling us that
- 32:26Speaker 1: we talk about our willies too much. So sorry to
- 32:29Speaker 1: the people of the United Kingdom. I don't like to
- 32:31Speaker 1: talking about.
- 32:32Speaker 5: Really whoa I don't like talking about my Willie.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Colonel doctor at two forty nine. I just got excited
- 32:38Speaker 1: to see him. Snoop Dogg intern. A lot of the
- 32:41Speaker 1: greats are in this episode.
- 32:43Speaker 5: Yes, Lynn's in the episode. A lot of people.
- 32:47Speaker 3: Yeah, Lynn, Deontay once again, Deontay Deontay worked a lot.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, Deontay was deare we do? So what they would,
- 32:55Speaker 1: But what they would do is sometimes when they needed
- 32:58Speaker 1: more background performers than they they would ask the stand
- 33:01Speaker 1: ins to to put on a costume and and join
- 33:04Speaker 1: the scene. I think that's what happens.
- 33:05Speaker 3: Well, yeah, not just that. Also the stand ins are
- 33:08Speaker 3: you know, they're all good actors on their own, you
- 33:11Speaker 3: know what I mean. You give Deontay a line, he
- 33:13Speaker 3: he'll deliver it.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Well, not everyone, but Deontay was someone who was a
- 33:16Speaker 1: good actor, right, and so, but my point is is
- 33:19Speaker 1: that I think usually the stand ins weren't dressed in costume.
- 33:23Speaker 1: So often when you see them, my brain goes, oh,
- 33:27Speaker 1: they wanted a couple more bodies, so they asked them
- 33:29Speaker 1: to suit.
- 33:29Speaker 5: Up, right. But they're always prominently featured if you notice.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Well, of course, because they're not. They're not. Dante's not
- 33:34Speaker 1: fucking around. He knows where the camera is, right, he
- 33:36Speaker 1: knows what he's doing.
- 33:37Speaker 5: He knows what he's doing, the.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Saying Deonta's first rodeo. He knows where that camera's going
- 33:41Speaker 1: to be. He's like, He's like, if I'm gonna put
- 33:43Speaker 1: on these scrubs, you're gonna see me right right, right?
- 33:46Speaker 1: All right. So at four oh two, there's this long
- 33:50Speaker 1: monologue Johnny se By the way, Johnny c is incredible
- 33:53Speaker 1: in this episode.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Crushes what I've learned that I you know, I didn't
- 33:57Speaker 3: appreciate it when it was there, you know what I mean?
- 33:59Speaker 3: There was so many lessons to be learned just from
- 34:01Speaker 3: watching Johnny, just from watching Judy, just from watching Ken.
- 34:05Speaker 3: And you know, you want to get the fuck out
- 34:06Speaker 3: of there at a certain point in time, you know
- 34:08Speaker 3: what I mean. And I look back at this stuff
- 34:10Speaker 3: now and Johnny crushes set. He's very funny, you know.
- 34:14Speaker 1: I I agree with you Donald watching even just watching
- 34:16Speaker 1: the however many we've watched twelve At this point, I'm
- 34:19Speaker 1: really taken by what a good actor Johnny McGinley is.
- 34:24Speaker 1: He's just he's fantastic, and this episode really highlights so
- 34:28Speaker 1: good he's And Sarah is wonderful in this episode.
- 34:30Speaker 5: Oh it's amazing in it.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Do you find it's weird? I always find it weird
- 34:35Speaker 1: in a TV show when they reference another TV show?
- 34:38Speaker 1: So here here we reference I referenced er, for of
- 34:41Speaker 1: all things, another hospital TV show.
- 34:43Speaker 5: I think we were trying to be funny.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Uh no, I know, but I just think it. I
- 34:48Speaker 1: always think it's weird when you when JD me playing
- 34:52Speaker 1: a fake doctor on television then references another doctor show.
- 34:57Speaker 1: I just think, I just pulls me out of the show.
- 34:59Speaker 1: It's I find it weird.
- 35:00Speaker 4: See.
- 35:00Speaker 3: But the problem is is that in Er Anthony Edwards
- 35:04Speaker 3: was still kind of he still kind of looked like uh,
- 35:09Speaker 3: the character he played in Top Gun.
- 35:11Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 35:11Speaker 1: No, he didn't. He was more bookish and academic.
- 35:15Speaker 5: Kind of sort of.
- 35:15Speaker 1: But he's still good on Anthony Edwards Revenge of.
- 35:20Speaker 5: The Nerds that you're like, holy shit, that's the dude
- 35:22Speaker 5: from Revenge of the Nerds.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Anthony Anthony Edwards has had such a career. Can we
- 35:28Speaker 1: just talk about him for a second?
- 35:29Speaker 5: Get it?
- 35:29Speaker 1: That is that is the right name, right, Anthony Edwards. Absolutely,
- 35:32Speaker 1: what's the name of the black guy named Anthony Edwards?
- 35:35Speaker 5: And you're thinking of Anthony Anderson more?
- 35:37Speaker 1: Sorry? Sorry, sorry, they're very similar Anthony Edward. By the way,
- 35:45Speaker 1: I love that you knew what I was talking about.
- 35:46Speaker 1: That's how close we are, baby. Anthony Edwards has spanned
- 35:51Speaker 1: Revenge of the Nerds to Top Gun, Yes, and then
- 35:55Speaker 1: back to Er and and and I'm po zillion other things,
- 35:58Speaker 1: I'm sure, but those are the things I most think
- 36:00Speaker 1: of him for.
- 36:01Speaker 5: Yeah, he's got ranged.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Now are we not allowed to like Revenge of the
- 36:04Speaker 1: Nerds anymore? I know that it has a very problematic movie,
- 36:07Speaker 1: but man, as a child, that was life changing for
- 36:09Speaker 1: me in that movie. I went with a babysitter to
- 36:11Speaker 1: see that movie in the theater and and oh, I
- 36:16Speaker 1: think I was nineteen eighty four.
- 36:17Speaker 5: I was probably did your babysitter get kicked out?
- 36:20Speaker 1: Listen? I think it was I was nine. I think
- 36:22Speaker 1: I can't believe I got to go see this movie
- 36:24Speaker 1: with a babysitter.
- 36:25Speaker 5: Was your babysitter? Fire?
- 36:26Speaker 1: Was it nineteen eighty four? Joel? Can you look that
- 36:28Speaker 1: up please? I remember went to see and I had
- 36:30Speaker 1: a crush on her, a nine year old crush. And
- 36:33Speaker 1: then I see this movie that's obviously are and I
- 36:35Speaker 1: can't believe I was seeing this. And then at the end,
- 36:39Speaker 1: I was so riled up. I was so turned on,
- 36:42Speaker 1: if you will, by the movie, and I thought, I, yes, thanks,
- 36:46Speaker 1: she says nineteen eighty four. I in my mind, I
- 36:49Speaker 1: thought like, oh, I'm going to try and impress my date.
- 36:53Speaker 1: I just started thinking of her like she was my date.
- 36:55Speaker 1: And we went into like a CVS type you know,
- 36:59Speaker 1: pharmacy giant, you know, one of those big ones, and
- 37:02Speaker 1: I forgot someone had my sister probably wanted to buy something.
- 37:05Speaker 1: And I was like in an aisle and I was like,
- 37:08Speaker 1: what can I what can I act like I want
- 37:10Speaker 1: to buy that's gonna seem impressive to my baby? And
- 37:14Speaker 1: we were in like I was like, I went in
- 37:16Speaker 1: like the hardware aisle because that felt masculine and uh
- 37:20Speaker 1: and uh. I saw this this battery, you remember, one
- 37:23Speaker 1: of those big chunky batter not a car battery, but
- 37:25Speaker 1: like for like a lantern. It was like this bit
- 37:27Speaker 1: like you know, like like you know this a lantern
- 37:30Speaker 1: battery basically, and I and I remember looking at it
- 37:33Speaker 1: and then I saw my periphery. She was coming down
- 37:35Speaker 1: the aisle and she's like, what are you doing in
- 37:37Speaker 1: this aisle? And I was like, see this and I
- 37:40Speaker 1: pointed to the battery and she goes, yeah, I go,
- 37:44Speaker 1: this is what I want for my birthday. Because in
- 37:51Speaker 1: my mind I thought she would be like, whoa.
- 37:54Speaker 5: This kid, this kid is deserves to see my book.
- 37:59Speaker 1: This kid is fucking manly. I know he's nine, but
- 38:03Speaker 1: if he's into battery, he's like this big I I
- 38:15Speaker 1: really thought. I remember this many years later. I remember thinking, like,
- 38:20Speaker 1: just act like you want this fucking battery. But that's
- 38:25Speaker 1: what That's what the nerds did to me. All right,
- 38:30Speaker 1: let's move on the French five fight. Talk about this, John,
- 38:32Speaker 1: Because you're married, you probably have this fight with your wife.
- 38:34Speaker 3: I believe in this fight, and I believe in Turk
- 38:37Speaker 3: side of this fight too. And you know, at the
- 38:39Speaker 3: end of the show it goes someplace different. But absolutely,
- 38:42Speaker 3: if I if we go to get burgers at McDonald's
- 38:46Speaker 3: and I get a combo meal and I ask you
- 38:49Speaker 3: what you want and you say, I'll just have a burger.
- 38:53Speaker 5: You're not eating my fries. Goddamn it, right, those are
- 38:56Speaker 5: my fries.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Does this happen all the time? It sounds like you
- 38:58Speaker 1: got riled up just now.
- 38:59Speaker 5: It's this.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Does this happen in your home?
- 39:01Speaker 5: I got riled up because of this dude that was
- 39:04Speaker 5: teaching me how to ride the bike today. Oh yeah, you've.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Taken on his persona. You are you are as an actor,
- 39:12Speaker 1: you were like a sponge and you've taken on his persona.
- 39:16Speaker 3: I am, I am, I am the bike riding instructor
- 39:20Speaker 3: from this Do you remember do you remember his name?
- 39:23Speaker 4: No?
- 39:23Speaker 5: I don't remember his name. God Devin, I'm just him
- 39:25Speaker 5: right now.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Okay, calm down, calm down. He's probably how anyway, smoothie
- 39:29Speaker 1: on a on a couch right now, and you're.
- 39:31Speaker 5: Some drinking orange gourgu.
- 39:33Speaker 1: He's probably probably in a steam room with other dudes.
- 39:37Speaker 5: Anyway.
- 39:38Speaker 3: But no, this is sincere, and this happens all the time,
- 39:41Speaker 3: and I I used to hate this when but then
- 39:44Speaker 3: this is also when I knew, Holy cow, I love
- 39:47Speaker 3: my wife. We would go and get food from someplace
- 39:50Speaker 3: like Astro Burger or McDonald's or something like something quick
- 39:55Speaker 3: and fast and greasy and everything after a night out
- 39:57Speaker 3: of partying in the club, and I be like, do
- 40:00Speaker 3: you want anything? And She'll be like, no, I'm not
- 40:02Speaker 3: really that hungry. In my mind, I knew exactly what
- 40:06Speaker 3: that meant. That meant she's gonna eat my shit.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Right, So would you order extra fur?
- 40:11Speaker 2: No?
- 40:12Speaker 5: Well, at first you.
- 40:12Speaker 3: Don't realize that, and then when it when it gets
- 40:15Speaker 3: to where Turk and Carla are, it's when you start
- 40:18Speaker 3: testing it and you're like, I'm gonna test and see
- 40:20Speaker 3: if When I say do you want anything? And she
- 40:23Speaker 3: says no, I'm good. I bet you she's gonna grab
- 40:26Speaker 3: my fries. Watch that's what's gonna it's gonna happen. It's
- 40:28Speaker 3: gonna happen. And when it happened, you're like I knew it,
- 40:31Speaker 3: and you and you and you explode. And that's what
- 40:34Speaker 3: happened with Turk. Turk was online with Carla at the
- 40:38Speaker 3: cafeteria and he's getting all of his food and she's
- 40:42Speaker 3: looking at him, and in his mind, he's like, she's
- 40:44Speaker 3: gonna want this stuff.
- 40:45Speaker 5: She's gonna want it.
- 40:46Speaker 1: It does feel like an example of not sweating the
- 40:48Speaker 1: small stuff, though, doesn't it.
- 40:50Speaker 5: But that's not the small stuff. Come on, man, that's
- 40:52Speaker 5: not that's not the small stuff.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Harley Pasternak, who we both know very fascy celebrity trainer,
- 40:59Speaker 1: he told me that I think it was him who
- 41:01Speaker 1: told me that French fries is the worst thing you
- 41:04Speaker 1: can put in your body.
- 41:06Speaker 5: He once told me pizza was the worst thing you
- 41:08Speaker 5: could put in your body. So I don't know. I
- 41:10Speaker 5: think that was him just trying to get you to
- 41:11Speaker 5: stop eating French fries.
- 41:12Speaker 1: And he also told me that something I'll never forget
- 41:14Speaker 1: that he calls a banana a sugar stick. He's like,
- 41:19Speaker 1: you might as well have a candy bar. Banana is
- 41:21Speaker 1: just sugar. Really, Yeah, I love a banana Harley. Celebrity
- 41:28Speaker 1: trainer Harley Pasternak ruined bananas for me. I still leep bananas.
- 41:31Speaker 1: I like them in my smoothie. But he told me
- 41:34Speaker 1: that they have even though it's natural sugar, it's filled
- 41:36Speaker 1: with sugar. But he also said French fries are the
- 41:38Speaker 1: worst thing you can put in your body because it's
- 41:40Speaker 1: just saturated fat.
- 41:41Speaker 5: Yeah, but he also told me pizza was the worst
- 41:43Speaker 5: thing you could put in your body.
- 41:44Speaker 1: He got you in good shape once, and you played
- 41:45Speaker 1: basketball with Yeasy? Right?
- 41:48Speaker 5: I have played basketball with con Yeezy.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Was it at Harley's house?
- 41:52Speaker 5: I gave Yeasy and common to business. They know what's up.
- 41:55Speaker 5: They know what's up. Don't act like y'all don't know.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure Yeezy's listening. Listen. Did you play it?
- 42:00Speaker 1: Did you play it?
- 42:02Speaker 4: Right?
- 42:02Speaker 5: He's somewhere in Wyoming?
- 42:04Speaker 1: Do you Did you play it at Harley's house? Did
- 42:07Speaker 1: you play at Harley's house?
- 42:09Speaker 3: I know we would go and play at like a gym.
- 42:12Speaker 3: We would go to a gym. He would run out
- 42:14Speaker 3: of gym and meet him.
- 42:16Speaker 1: That's the only time I ever when I was working
- 42:18Speaker 1: out with Harley. That's the only time I ever met Kanye.
- 42:20Speaker 1: It was before he became, you know, enormous.
- 42:22Speaker 5: He was still huge. Kanye has been Kanye No.
- 42:24Speaker 1: I know, but I didn't. He wasn't the household name
- 42:26Speaker 1: at this time.
- 42:27Speaker 5: Yeah, he was making that music since back in the y.
- 42:30Speaker 1: And I used to get on the treadmill next to
- 42:32Speaker 1: Rick Fox Donald, Who's.
- 42:34Speaker 5: I played basketball with Rick Fox before too?
- 42:37Speaker 1: Really?
- 42:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I played basketball with a lot of people.
- 42:39Speaker 1: I know you're fancy, all right. Listen, A drunk clown
- 42:43Speaker 1: hurt me once, laughed.
- 42:44Speaker 5: Out, laughed out loud, laughed out loud.
- 42:46Speaker 1: I don't know if I made that up or not.
- 42:48Speaker 1: I would like to take credit for it.
- 42:49Speaker 5: Okay, let's ask Bill.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Bill's not gonna remember, and if so, he's definitely not
- 42:53Speaker 1: gonna give me credit. But Joel, please ask him who
- 42:56Speaker 1: made up a drunk clown hurt me once? And make
- 42:57Speaker 1: sure to put in parentheses. Zach believes it might be his.
- 43:02Speaker 1: He's gonna come back with the sassiest answer.
- 43:04Speaker 5: And here it is a.
- 43:05Speaker 7: Drunk clown hurt Me once was Zach Braff improv. He
- 43:09Speaker 7: came up with that, and I remember watching it happen
- 43:12Speaker 7: and I remember taking credit for it afterwards.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Thank you Bill. Well, we haven't heard Bill's answer, but
- 43:17Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say thank you Bill. I agree, No,
- 43:21Speaker 1: thank you Bill.
- 43:23Speaker 5: I don't know that you're going to agree with I
- 43:25Speaker 5: might not agree.
- 43:25Speaker 1: I might not agree. A drunk clown hurt me once
- 43:28Speaker 1: is very funny. I gotta say I left out loud
- 43:30Speaker 1: about that because God knows what that story is.
- 43:34Speaker 5: And how you found out the clown was drunk is love.
- 43:37Speaker 1: I love these JD things that never get explored, like
- 43:40Speaker 1: these long you know, there's times like there's this random
- 43:43Speaker 1: sentences that you know we could have gone into a fantasy,
- 43:45Speaker 1: but we never do.
- 43:46Speaker 5: I love those rare moments like yeah, like I got
- 43:49Speaker 5: treated by a Kayu.
- 43:53Speaker 1: That is probably my favorite episode and you know why
- 43:56Speaker 1: because you directed it. It's the first one I directed.
- 43:58Speaker 1: But also not just saying because I directed it. That
- 44:01Speaker 1: is a fucking epic great episode.
- 44:03Speaker 5: Oh that's a great episode. Do you know what season
- 44:05Speaker 5: that is?
- 44:05Speaker 4: Oh?
- 44:06Speaker 1: My god, that episode shows up.
- 44:09Speaker 5: I know what it happens.
- 44:10Speaker 1: I got Joe, will you please look up for me
- 44:12Speaker 1: what episode that is. It's the first one I directed.
- 44:14Speaker 1: I don't even have no idea what it's called. Heather
- 44:16Speaker 1: grams in it. But Donald I got treed by Kayo.
- 44:20Speaker 5: Yeah, that one.
- 44:21Speaker 3: And then I'm starting to see why, uh what did
- 44:24Speaker 3: he say his name was? I'm starting to see why
- 44:27Speaker 3: leon Il foxed you.
- 44:29Speaker 1: I don't remember that.
- 44:31Speaker 5: Jason Bateman, I like to make I like to make
- 44:33Speaker 5: belts out of it.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Oh and Jason Bateman says, I like to make belts
- 44:36Speaker 1: out of their necks. I mean, how stoned were they
- 44:39Speaker 1: must have been in the writer's room when they came
- 44:41Speaker 1: up with an idea that the ostriches are are are sentries?
- 44:46Speaker 4: Right?
- 44:46Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 44:47Speaker 4: Right?
- 44:47Speaker 1: No there So in Jason Bateman's character's home, he has ostriches,
- 44:51Speaker 1: but they they not only work as guards, but they
- 44:55Speaker 1: stole your kango right and.
- 44:57Speaker 5: Put it on right. Oh that's leon very funny episode.
- 45:04Speaker 1: All right, we're back to this one.
- 45:06Speaker 5: Michael McDonald is back.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Michael McDonald's back.
- 45:09Speaker 5: That was right away. He was just on we should
- 45:12Speaker 5: have him one.
- 45:13Speaker 1: And he's paying the same guy. I think, Joelle, you
- 45:15Speaker 1: may have thought he was playing multiple characters.
- 45:18Speaker 5: He's always definitely playing the same guy.
- 45:20Speaker 1: He plays a hypochondriac who's always I.
- 45:22Speaker 8: Believe, unless the fanily he's wrong he plays different characters in.
- 45:27Speaker 5: A later season.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Okay, well, we don't know. Maybe the fans will tell
- 45:31Speaker 1: us on the social media's but I believe that he's
- 45:34Speaker 1: always playing a hypochondriac. The episode, thank you Joelle for
- 45:37Speaker 1: finding this that Donald and I were talking about, was
- 45:39Speaker 1: is season four, episode eight, My Last Chance. It's probably
- 45:44Speaker 1: my favorite episode of the whole one of my top
- 45:47Speaker 1: three of the whole run. Granted it was my first
- 45:49Speaker 1: time directing and that was special. But also Bill, because
- 45:52Speaker 1: he's so fucking competitive, decided to write an episode that
- 45:55Speaker 1: should have been shot in like ten days, and because
- 45:59Speaker 1: it was epic, we called it Scrubs the movie. If
- 46:01Speaker 1: you recall, it's the one where Donald and I have
- 46:04Speaker 1: a permission slip from Elliott that allows JD to sleep
- 46:07Speaker 1: with Heather Graham's character and we go on an epic
- 46:10Speaker 1: night long quest to find Molly to give her the
- 46:13Speaker 1: permission slip.
- 46:15Speaker 3: I have a question for you when you were making
- 46:17Speaker 3: this episode, did you realize when you were making it
- 46:20Speaker 3: how big of an episode it was?
- 46:23Speaker 5: For you to have to execute.
- 46:25Speaker 1: Yes, I knew I knew it. Bill. Bill's a big
- 46:28Speaker 1: brother to us both, and it's always been competitive with me,
- 46:31Speaker 1: like we don't play sports. So the competition came in
- 46:34Speaker 1: like in other ways. So it came in like, okay,
- 46:36Speaker 1: it was after garden State and he's like, garden State
- 46:38Speaker 1: was a success, and he's like, okay, you can direct.
- 46:41Speaker 1: Here's the script. And it was like the most epic
- 46:44Speaker 1: impossible thing. You know. We shot an episode of Scrubs
- 46:47Speaker 1: traditionally in five days and you had to write them,
- 46:50Speaker 1: so they were they were executable in five days. And
- 46:53Speaker 1: this was you remember Donald, We were like, oh, we
- 46:55Speaker 1: were on the Universal back lot. There was an ambulance
- 46:58Speaker 1: chase with ancient. It was huge, and I just remember
- 47:01Speaker 1: being like, oh my god, he's totally testing if I
- 47:04Speaker 1: can pull this off, and I did, and I did.
- 47:07Speaker 1: I think it's I mean, we were ziplining across the
- 47:09Speaker 1: Universal backlock.
- 47:10Speaker 5: Let's save it for that episode.
- 47:11Speaker 4: I know.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Sorry you got me talking about because I really love
- 47:13Speaker 1: that episode.
- 47:14Speaker 5: Okay, so now we're at this awesome w No, you're
- 47:17Speaker 5: going too fast.
- 47:18Speaker 1: I want to talk about Sammy, the legendary Sammy Lloyd
- 47:21Speaker 1: has some good stuff in this episode.
- 47:22Speaker 5: Oh my goodness, okay, yeah, five.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Oh nine, Sammy Lloyd comes in and uh, I remember
- 47:27Speaker 1: now because he's covered in sweat. Yeah, right, right before,
- 47:30Speaker 1: right before it takes they would sweat Sam up so
- 47:33Speaker 1: he would totally look like he was always on the
- 47:35Speaker 1: verge of a panic attack. Yes, yes, and and and
- 47:38Speaker 1: Kelso goes to him, tell him Todd. He goes, it's ted,
- 47:42Speaker 1: but it's ted even it's only been twelve years. And
- 47:46Speaker 1: then at five twenty seven he laughed when he goes
- 47:49Speaker 1: and then if this, if that happens, the higher ups
- 47:51Speaker 1: heads are going to roll. And then he starts laughing. Yeah,
- 47:55Speaker 1: very funny. Y. Yeah, Sam has some funny shit later
- 47:58Speaker 1: later on in the MRI room run Away with Me, Yeah,
- 48:02Speaker 1: he was run away with it. And then before that
- 48:05Speaker 1: way I wrote down something. It was so funny. He says.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Since my wife left me, I find it hard to
- 48:10Speaker 1: see past the evil, right, something about like I can't
- 48:16Speaker 1: date women since my wife left me, I find it
- 48:19Speaker 1: hard to see past the evil.
- 48:20Speaker 5: Now he finds love again. He finds love on the
- 48:23Speaker 5: show later too, right.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Yeah with Mazuchi, right with the gooch. Yeah, the Gooch
- 48:29Speaker 1: played by Kate mccuchi, who's a very talented gal and
- 48:33Speaker 1: plays the and sings really well and plays the ukulele
- 48:36Speaker 1: very well. Yes so, Donald Liz bogush I. She did
- 48:41Speaker 1: a great job. Of course that's her voice. Imagine getting
- 48:44Speaker 1: apart good things. She knew she had two more episodes
- 48:46Speaker 1: coming up, because imagine getting a part in and be like, hey,
- 48:48Speaker 1: we're never going to see your face and I'd forgotten
- 48:51Speaker 1: at the end of the episode. They were clever enough
- 48:52Speaker 1: to not even reveal her.
- 48:53Speaker 5: That was cool, right, and you had to wait until
- 48:55Speaker 5: the next episode.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Right, But it wasn't even like to be continued. It
- 48:59Speaker 1: was like some of the audience fight be like, oh,
- 49:01Speaker 1: we never see her, you know, right?
- 49:03Speaker 3: Well that's that's also very interesting because this is so
- 49:06Speaker 3: at some point during the season, the show does start
- 49:11Speaker 3: to connect where it becomes a serial, right, where it
- 49:14Speaker 3: becomes uh, is that the right way to put it?
- 49:17Speaker 1: Where yeah, when when they're when they're you know, when
- 49:18Speaker 1: they're going.
- 49:19Speaker 3: In every episode is connected to and then it breaks
- 49:22Speaker 3: apart again. I always like the fact that you could
- 49:25Speaker 3: tune into Scrubs and no matter what episode you catch
- 49:28Speaker 3: it on, it's.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Like you you know, yeah, you can watch it out
- 49:30Speaker 1: of order, as I'm sure they aired it on syndication
- 49:33Speaker 1: out of order, I imagine.
- 49:34Speaker 5: But but but this specific, these specific two episodes.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Well people would also you know, yeah, and certain actors
- 49:40Speaker 1: would do arcs. You know, they do three, you know,
- 49:43Speaker 1: I think Liz did three. All right, but come on,
- 49:46Speaker 1: first of all, why can't JD just bend down and
- 49:49Speaker 1: look into the damn machine.
- 49:50Speaker 5: I don't know, man, I don't.
- 49:52Speaker 3: That's you know, I'm if if you're worried about that,
- 49:55Speaker 3: If you're worried about that, you're not really watching the show.
- 49:58Speaker 1: I know, Donald, But I'm telling you they nationalized it
- 50:00Speaker 1: a little bit. You can tell the writers were wrestling
- 50:02Speaker 1: with this because they were like, oh, no, she's hurt herself.
- 50:04Speaker 1: We can't move her. Otherwise it was like, oh, come on, girl,
- 50:06Speaker 1: just climb out of the fucking time, right, just or
- 50:11Speaker 1: if you're that worried, slide a backboard in there and
- 50:13Speaker 1: help some dudes slide her out, I mean, get her out.
- 50:15Speaker 1: But but it is very clever. But I just want
- 50:17Speaker 1: to say that, uh, the device was a little like,
- 50:20Speaker 1: come on, buddy, just just peek in there. JD.
- 50:23Speaker 5: Right, Well, she's just see what you would just see
- 50:25Speaker 5: nostrils and forehead.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Though.
- 50:26Speaker 1: Well, first of all, if you've ever if you ever
- 50:28Speaker 1: had an MRI I and I have, you're deep in that.
- 50:30Speaker 1: You're deep in that thing.
- 50:31Speaker 5: You're all the way in there, You're all the way in.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know what the hell kind of MRI
- 50:36Speaker 1: Liz Bogers was getting.
- 50:38Speaker 5: Yeah, just ahead, I guess. But even when it's just ahead,
- 50:42Speaker 5: you're all the way in.
- 50:42Speaker 1: You want to take a break.
- 50:43Speaker 3: Yeah, we should cut the commercial. They'll be here two minutes.
- 50:45Speaker 3: So let's you know what we should do.
- 50:47Speaker 1: Give me a break, Give me a break. I'm not
- 50:51Speaker 1: gonna save the brand.
- 51:02Speaker 5: And we're back with Donald Fazon and Zach Braff talking
- 51:08Speaker 5: about this awesome wonner. Finally, I've been dying to talk
- 51:11Speaker 5: about this for the entire episode.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Yeah, so this this woner shot that starts at six
- 51:16Speaker 1: fifty six. It goes for a full minute. It's very
- 51:19Speaker 1: cleverly choreographed. And and here's Jackie. Hi, Hi, Jackie, jack Jackie.
- 51:30Speaker 5: Jackie's phone. I use hi.
- 51:35Speaker 2: I was gonna use my computer, but at the very
- 51:37Speaker 2: old computer, and it just wasn't working at all.
- 51:40Speaker 1: No worries where just clad you're here. Welcome to fake doctors,
- 51:45Speaker 1: real friends.
- 51:46Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen. Please welcome Jackie. Jack is here to
- 51:52Speaker 5: surprise someone.
- 51:53Speaker 1: Oh another surprise, Joelle. You are just making people's months.
- 51:57Speaker 5: I needed to pick me up and Jack did it.
- 52:01Speaker 1: So Jackie, what's the story here?
- 52:03Speaker 2: So at the end of this month is my boyfriend's
- 52:06Speaker 2: thirtieth birthday, and I've been trying to forge out when
- 52:10Speaker 2: I wanted to give him, and he has no idea
- 52:13Speaker 2: what he wants. So I thought this would be a
- 52:15Speaker 2: really nice surprise because we both are huge fans and
- 52:19Speaker 2: we just finished we watched watching it Adie for the
- 52:22Speaker 2: millions time. We watched it once a year together.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Oh, thank you so much. That's that's really cool. Donald,
- 52:27Speaker 1: we got to this is a this is a thirtieth
- 52:29Speaker 1: birthday present. We gotta like, do you want to straighten
- 52:31Speaker 1: your shirt or something? Do you want to change your shirt?
- 52:34Speaker 1: Because what's his name, Jackie?
- 52:37Speaker 4: Sean?
- 52:38Speaker 1: Sean?
- 52:38Speaker 5: All right, Sean.
- 52:41Speaker 1: You know it'll be funny if you tell Donald and
- 52:42Speaker 1: I something about Sean that we they we couldn't possibly know,
- 52:46Speaker 1: and we'll throw it out there during the conversation.
- 52:51Speaker 2: He is a very big D and D person.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Okay, okay, Donald, Donald, Donald can tap into that.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Yes, he is a very big Dungeons and Dragons person.
- 53:02Speaker 2: We actually are in a campaign. No, he does not,
- 53:05Speaker 2: he does not DM, not yet. He's m I'm in
- 53:09Speaker 2: my very first game with him right now.
- 53:11Speaker 5: Okay, how do you? Congratulations? I guess sorry play? Have
- 53:15Speaker 5: you played Dungeons and Dragons before or is this your
- 53:17Speaker 5: first time?
- 53:18Speaker 1: This is my person and are you liking it?
- 53:21Speaker 2: I am like you, and we're having it to do
- 53:22Speaker 2: remotely unfortunately because of the pandemic going on, but it's
- 53:26Speaker 2: still really fun.
- 53:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 53:28Speaker 1: I would imagine a lot of D and D folks
- 53:29Speaker 1: are doing this online.
- 53:30Speaker 5: These days, right, yeah they are. You can good games?
- 53:34Speaker 1: Yeah? Can we get into a game, Donald? Because you
- 53:37Speaker 1: like it? Right?
- 53:38Speaker 4: I do?
- 53:38Speaker 5: I just it depends on what their rules are, you
- 53:40Speaker 5: know what I mean certain rules are? I don't know.
- 53:42Speaker 3: Man, you play, you know, I grew up playing Dungeons
- 53:45Speaker 3: and Dragons and so you kind of get used to
- 53:48Speaker 3: your DM and then you go and play in somebody
- 53:50Speaker 3: else's world and you're like, this is nothing like how
- 53:52Speaker 3: I remember playing it.
- 53:53Speaker 1: Now, it can take a very long time, right, we
- 53:55Speaker 1: don't have that much can we go? Can we do
- 53:57Speaker 1: a campaign? Can we do a short campaign? Are you
- 53:59Speaker 1: able to do a short campaign?
- 54:01Speaker 2: It's possible. Yes.
- 54:03Speaker 5: How long is the campaign that you're on right now?
- 54:04Speaker 5: How long have you been doing it for?
- 54:06Speaker 2: We have been doing it, I want to say for
- 54:08Speaker 2: about a month, the same campaign. We meet up once
- 54:12Speaker 2: a week and we'll play for about four hours.
- 54:15Speaker 3: So you guys play like short hours. You don't really
- 54:18Speaker 3: do the eight hour nine hour D and.
- 54:21Speaker 2: D unfortunately not because some of them, like my boyfriend
- 54:25Speaker 2: has to go in the work in the morning.
- 54:27Speaker 3: H right, So we used to that used to be
- 54:30Speaker 3: the jam, playing D and D until the sun came up,
- 54:33Speaker 3: and then sleeping all day and then getting back together
- 54:35Speaker 3: that night and playing D and D again.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Oh he has had campaigns like that.
- 54:40Speaker 3: Yeah, we used to love that. And I grew up
- 54:43Speaker 3: in the inner city, so I used to play D
- 54:44Speaker 3: and D with a bunch of drug dealers.
- 54:46Speaker 5: It's us.
- 54:48Speaker 1: Why did you end up in a D and D
- 54:50Speaker 1: with drug dealers?
- 54:51Speaker 5: Because I grew up with a bunch of drug dealers
- 54:52Speaker 5: as friends, dude, that's why.
- 54:54Speaker 1: So would they have to would they have to pause
- 54:56Speaker 1: the campaign to deal drugs?
- 54:58Speaker 4: No?
- 54:58Speaker 5: No, no, no no, no, no, no, no, no no.
- 55:00Speaker 3: But it would just be funny because you know it's
- 55:03Speaker 3: funny listening to your boy two ki rolling dice, Like,
- 55:07Speaker 3: so I pull out my you know, I'd reach into
- 55:09Speaker 3: my bag a holding, then pull out my sword plus
- 55:11Speaker 3: five swing.
- 55:13Speaker 5: Wow.
- 55:14Speaker 3: You know, rolling dice turns into something completely different when
- 55:17Speaker 3: you're in the hood. Yo, it's something completely different, yo.
- 55:21Speaker 3: And then you know what I mean, you roll a
- 55:23Speaker 3: twenty side dice. This is the dope thing about twenty
- 55:25Speaker 3: side dice. You could either do a twenty side dice
- 55:27Speaker 3: or you could do a ten sided and a six
- 55:29Speaker 3: sided I think at the same time.
- 55:30Speaker 5: And that's the same thing, right, And so you roll,
- 55:33Speaker 5: and it's like rolling dice.
- 55:34Speaker 3: You like blowing on the shit, hitting it off the feet,
- 55:38Speaker 3: off the dogs, yoo, on the table.
- 55:41Speaker 5: You got rules. If it goes off the if it
- 55:43Speaker 5: goes off the board, it doesn't count. Then you get
- 55:47Speaker 5: particular about it.
- 55:48Speaker 3: Like let's say it does go off the board, but
- 55:49Speaker 3: you roll a natural twenty, which is a critical hit
- 55:51Speaker 3: in the game that my buddy would DM and it
- 55:55Speaker 3: rolled off the board, you'd fight five hours, like, yo, just.
- 55:57Speaker 5: Please let this stand, let this be I just love
- 56:03Speaker 5: playing D and D.
- 56:05Speaker 1: Well, maybe maybe Sean will let us into his game.
- 56:08Speaker 1: He would, you'll bring that up.
- 56:11Speaker 5: We'll bring that up in the conversation, like kind of crazy.
- 56:14Speaker 2: I made him hide in our bedroom.
- 56:16Speaker 1: What does he think it's gonna happen? Does? Does he
- 56:18Speaker 1: have any idea what's about to happen?
- 56:19Speaker 5: He's like, Yo, she's.
- 56:21Speaker 2: I guess it, but not really.
- 56:23Speaker 1: I hope we're the best of his guesses.
- 56:25Speaker 5: What if I doubt it, He's gonna be like, you
- 56:29Speaker 5: need this this He's like, what the hell is bullshit?
- 56:32Speaker 1: I thought I was getting a new D and D dog.
- 56:34Speaker 2: Ready, I need to sit next to you.
- 56:38Speaker 1: You gotta put the earphone in his ear. I'm sorry
- 56:43Speaker 1: to direct you. Happy birthday, Happy birthday, Happy birthday to
- 56:51Speaker 1: your Happy birthday.
- 56:55Speaker 3: Happy birthday, Happy birthday too, Happy birthday, Happy birthday.
- 57:05Speaker 1: Hi Sean?
- 57:07Speaker 5: Is Sean's birthday?
- 57:09Speaker 1: All right?
- 57:10Speaker 5: You can stop, mister third.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Day Donald, Let the man speak.
- 57:15Speaker 5: Jackie hooked it up.
- 57:18Speaker 1: You got a good girlfriends, real friends. You're doing man, Happy,
- 57:28Speaker 1: happy birthday.
- 57:29Speaker 5: Is this a surprise you expected?
- 57:30Speaker 1: We want to make sure that we're better than the
- 57:32Speaker 1: surprise you were expecting.
- 57:33Speaker 8: Well, I did make a guess earlier was it was
- 57:37Speaker 8: it us? Yeah, it was you, but it was like
- 57:40Speaker 8: out of the world, like, yeah, sure, I bet what
- 57:43Speaker 8: maybe you did this. I thought I had like a
- 57:44Speaker 8: friend coming over or something, but this is, uh, this is.
- 57:50Speaker 5: A friend coming over during quarantine. That's what you wanted?
- 57:53Speaker 1: Yes, no, Sean, no friends only maybe a masked friend.
- 57:57Speaker 1: I don't all right, right, hey man, Well, thank you
- 58:00Speaker 1: for for liking our show and for being fans of us.
- 58:03Speaker 1: We we we really appreciate it. And it's so it's
- 58:06Speaker 1: so one of the cool things about this podcast is
- 58:08Speaker 1: we get to randomly meet fans and and uh and
- 58:12Speaker 1: it's it's so it's much fun for us to be
- 58:14Speaker 1: able to see your face and talk to you.
- 58:16Speaker 5: Absolutely. It's like it's like when we played D and
- 58:18Speaker 5: D and.
- 58:19Speaker 1: Yeah, we wish you were in the D and D
- 58:20Speaker 1: because we were gonna invite you into our game, but
- 58:22Speaker 1: we we hear you're not into it.
- 58:26Speaker 5: No, it's just like when we play right, and it's like,
- 58:32Speaker 5: you know, you're going up against god.
- 58:35Speaker 1: I grew up, I grew up playing I grew up
- 58:37Speaker 1: playing I grew up playing with I grew up playing
- 58:39Speaker 1: with with drug dealers in my in my hometown. I
- 58:46Speaker 1: was gonna take I was gonna take your whole story
- 58:47Speaker 1: and make the mind and impress Sean. Yeah, there's two key.
- 58:58Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Yeah. So so tell us about yourself, Sean. We want
- 59:01Speaker 1: to get to know you briefly.
- 59:03Speaker 2: We have you.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Oh, where do you guys live?
- 59:06Speaker 4: We live in Morgantown, West Virginia.
- 59:09Speaker 5: Virginia, in the house right right right, West Virginia.
- 59:15Speaker 1: What do you guys do for a living?
- 59:16Speaker 4: I'm a pharmacy technician.
- 59:19Speaker 2: Nice currently I work at Alta Beauty as a prestige
- 59:25Speaker 2: beauty price. They're sorry put makeup on people for a
- 59:28Speaker 2: living right now, but you're.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Not able to do that, I imagine right now, or
- 59:31Speaker 1: maybe you guys are open, I don't know.
- 59:33Speaker 2: We are open just for curbs I pick up, so
- 59:36Speaker 2: only my managers are currently working. I have been home
- 59:39Speaker 2: for the past month and a half.
- 59:41Speaker 1: Okay, you're not gonna be able to go to the
- 59:42Speaker 1: curb and put makeup on someone in the car, unfortunately, not.
- 59:47Speaker 3: When and when you are reopen, I imagine it's going
- 59:50Speaker 3: to be masks and gloves as you Yeah.
- 59:54Speaker 1: Yeah, now, Sean, have you still been working because pharmacies
- 59:56Speaker 1: are obviously open.
- 59:58Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, still nothing every day.
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: Yeah, so no time to play Dungeons and Dragons.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Then, yeah, how are you able to do your campaign?
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: You know, she was telling you, We've been doing We've
- 1:00:07Speaker 8: been doing like Skyper, Google hangouts and there's a lot
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: of online.
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: Us to use.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: You're in three campaigns right now, I'm playing three different games.
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: Well, what kind of character you do you have?
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: Like I had a I had a cleric in one,
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: and then I had a monk and another like my my,
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: my brother. At one point, the DM got funky in
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: the game we were playing and he got to play
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: a ogre magi, which was so sick.
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, can the DM?
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Can the DM make up any rules he or she wants?
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: Yeah, it's their world, yep.
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: There.
- 1:00:41Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm currently playing a a goliath fighter in one.
- 1:00:48Speaker 8: I'm playing a halfling rogue in another, and a half
- 1:00:56Speaker 8: elf draconic sorcerer in the third one.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: Nice do you guys have dark elves and with elves
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: and all of that stuff? And oh yeah yeah, it's
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: so such a fun game, man, oh man.
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: Yeah, it's uh, it's a lot of fun. I've made
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: a lot of friends through.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: It and uh, that's cool. And so now that it's
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: all online, does that make it easier for you or
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: is it just as fun or do you prefer to
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: be in person like around the table?
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: I prefer to be in person table. It's just you know,
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: it's just uh, some of the games have maybe six
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: seven people in it, so it's kind of a big
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: group to do online, a lot of screens to go through.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: It's just easier to do in person. But it's still
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: you know, it's still scratches that itch and people.
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: Get really passionate about it, right, I say, do you
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: talk shit when you play?
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: Are you one of those people that's like, yeah, I'm
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: about to crack this motherfucker upside.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: Wow, Sean. Sean doesn't seem like they like he would
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: say something like that, Donald, Okay, not so much. Maybe
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: do you guys ever get heated? Do you guys ever
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: get heated and get in fights like I should have?
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: That should have worked that role.
- 1:02:06Speaker 8: Yeah, there's been some uh, there's been some friendly conflict
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: in some games.
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: But yeah, do you guys have a question?
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we forgot that. You're supposed ask a question, Sean.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: You can ask us anything, Sean, you can ask you
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: know how on Reddit they have Ama ask me anything,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: this is your own personal birthday, Donald Faison, Zach braf Ama.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, it could be anything.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: It could anything Donald. You can even ask Donald a
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: very private question and he'll answer it.
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: I'll make it, don't blow it, Sean, I.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Was ready, Okay, Well, well, Jackie, maybe while he thinks,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: do you have a question to help him out?
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: I've had a.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Question because we we've discussed while we listen to your podcast,
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: like if you're ever on here, what we want to
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: ask Yeah, while we're watching Scrubs. So I assume you
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: all have seen that the last season, season nine was
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: not the best season.
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: I don't know what you're talking.
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: We don't even know there is a nine. I didn't
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: know there was a season nine.
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: What are you talking, Jackie.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: The first rule of season nine is there is no season.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: Don't talk about it.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: Well, they make it a season nine on Hulu. So
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: I was kind of just wondering, like, you're just your
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: own feelings on season nine.
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: In general, I.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: Thought season nine had some very funny moments. You know,
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: I was going through a lot during season nine, Like
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: I got new teeth while we were doing season nine.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: So there are a couple of episodes where my teeth
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: are like.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: I didn't know your teeth didn't come till season nine, And.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that's when I started. That's when I changed it up, yo,
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: and got these big ass pearlies. Anyway, there's some really
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: funny performances in season nine. Dave Franco makes me laugh,
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: you know, in season nine, and outside of the show.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: I have great memories of season nine. I also have
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: really bad memories of season nine. I knew it was over,
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: and I knew it we weren't necessarily making the show
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: that the fans wanted.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: But did you miss me?
- 1:04:13Speaker 5: Well, you were in a lot of the episode.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: I was only in the first six.
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: We only did thirteen.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: Well did you miss me for the seven?
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: I missed you so much. I missed you so much.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: But the point is, I, you know, I didn't mind
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: season nine. Granted I never really watched any of the
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: episodes of Scrubs anyway, so it all kind of seems.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: It all felt like we were still doing our job.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: But it was weird too. It was weird for multiple reasons. One,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: I was leaving and that was in the air. Also,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: also eight seasons had been shot, as I'm sure you
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: may know from just us talking about it in the past,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: in this abandoned hospital. And then for season nine we
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: moved to a traditional studio backlot and all, and so
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: they built that fake hospital on a stage and the
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: classroom stuff was all on a stage, and it felt
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: weird to me. It felt like jump the sharky a bit,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: if you will.
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: If you're gonna jump a shark, you might as well
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: do it. Season nine.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Though well we did. I mean, you know, we were
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: so blessed we went nine seasons, but it just felt
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: I don't know, I felt weird about it, and I
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: to this day, it's gonna be funny if we keep
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: going and decide to make it Disease nine. It's gonna
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: be really funny for me because I've never seen them,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: so I will be watching them for the very first time.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: But I know, Dave Franco was so funny. And I
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: like to say I discovered Krrie Bochet because I put
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: her in a pilot and then Bill saw the pilot
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: and yeah, and I think carry a Northwestern graduate mind you,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: is very talented. But but I don't know, it was weird.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: There was a weird energy in there, you know, you
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: know when when I think we all knew something was
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: it was coming to an end, and we kind of
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: we kind of knew his time for it to be over,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: but we kind of didn't want it to be over.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: And and I think in Bill's mind it was like,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: you know, if these new kids, if this gels with
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: the audience, this could take off like like er you know,
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: and and and just keep putting in new cast and
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: have it keep going.
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: I remember the moment I realized. I was like, holy shit,
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: I'm screech. Holy shit, I'm scre you were screeching, and
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: and and and and John.
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: C Is Belding. I was like, holy shit. Yeah, especially if.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: I did I did read.
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: I don't know if you guys talked about it or
- 1:06:20Speaker 8: I also looked it up that it was almost supposed
- 1:06:24Speaker 8: Season nine was almost supposed to be like a not
- 1:06:26Speaker 8: a spin off kind of but like you know, they
- 1:06:29Speaker 8: were gonna call it something different, like.
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: Well, it is a spin off.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: It's not the same episode if you if you if
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: it's not the same show, if you recognize Season nine
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: came like a year and a half later, and not
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: necessarily a year later, like.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: You know what I mean, Yeah, I was, I was leaving,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: and the the idea was to help launch this new series,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: So JD would be there for six episodes to like
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: make the audience feel like it wasn't that different, and
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: then I would tiptoe out and and hand the vo
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: literally off to Carrie Bouche and and it was gonna
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: be like Scrubs. Med School was kind of like the idea, right, yeah,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: and you know we're teachers now, but we had.
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: Gotten so far into the silly realm by that time too,
- 1:07:11Speaker 5: you know what I mean, Like it was very broad. Yeah, absolutely, dude,
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: like you and I dressed up as a cowboy.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: And what was the name of that guy who I
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: think may have passed? He was very funny, the security
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: guard guy.
- 1:07:24Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, did he pass away?
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: He did pass away? Yes, Joell's going to get his
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: name for us. He was fun He was very funny.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: I remember doing some funny stuff with him while I
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: was there for season nine.
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: Do you have another questioning?
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: I'm just entrance shock. Yes.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Do you even request Donald concernade you with the song?
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: The only request is that if I can do a
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: it's a sequence of numbers that after the numbers a
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: song plays you guys always doing the podcast. I don't
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: want to say it because if I say.
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: It, Oh you want to do it? Wait, I would
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: have done it already.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: No, he's very respectful.
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: I appreciate that, but I would have.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Off Dan listen, listen, you would be You're allowed to
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: do it because it's a special occasion. And by the way,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of people sorry, it's Wendell
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: of middlebrooks uh. And he was hilarious and I'm sad
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: to say that he did pass. He was a very,
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: very funny man and he was on Season nine Scrubs.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: This is a security guard. But a lot of talk
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: on the social media about Bill Lawrence and these numbers
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: this week, and I think people were cracking up about
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: how Bill kept doing that, and these numbers are all
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: over my my timeline. I don't know if if it's
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: happened to you too, Donald.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: No, I I I I knew exactly what he was
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: talking about when he said, I'm very impressed that he
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: asked if he could do it, and he's.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Unlike Bill, he's a respectful man.
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: Made it.
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, like, but now you're taking it from
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: your Donald.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Stopping. Listen, listen, and uh it's your birthday. You're the
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: very first person we've allowed to do this. Who's not Donald?
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Bill Lawrence? A right? Oh, Judy did to.
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: Judy did it? And so did Uh what's her name?
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Uh?
- 1:09:22Speaker 5: The caller didn't she?
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Yes? Okay, you're right. You ruined, you ruined the specialness
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: of it.
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: As I'm not the only person.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Well, you're the you're, you're, you're one a few other
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: than Donald and I.
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: You're way too respectful, Sean. I'm gonna say that you're
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: way too respectful.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: Well, thank you, thank you for calling in. Happy birthday.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: And as you leave, you may yell those, don't yell
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: them because Dan's just she's but Donald let me direct
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Sean go ahead.
- 1:09:49Speaker 5: I'm sorry, dude. I didn't mean to get in the way.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Okay, Sean, you can do it however you like. Thank
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: you for coming on the show. Happy birthday.
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: Thank you guys so much. This is amazing.
- 1:10:00Speaker 9: Go Ford Sewan five s stories show. May okay, damn
- 1:10:11Speaker 9: turn it off.
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: D that's enough.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Thank you, Dan. Okay, we're back. Thank you guys for
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: coming on. Happy Happy, happy.
- 1:10:17Speaker 5: Birth Happy birthdays. So much.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: May all your how do you. How do you wish
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: someone well on a Duncan duncan on a D and
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: D campaign, you say like, may your journey be successful
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: or something like that.
- 1:10:28Speaker 4: That sounds great.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: May or may all of your May all of your
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: journeys be successful. May the dice fall in your favor.
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: That's perfect.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go.
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: I wish you. I wish you twenty five critical hits
- 1:10:40Speaker 5: in your next campaign.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: May a warlock never eat your brain.
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: I hope you never see the eyes of a beholder.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: Yeah. If you ever come across an elf and his
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: name is Jasper, ignore him.
- 1:10:58Speaker 5: Elf with the bow is so cliche.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Okay, bye, guys, we have the show is going on forever.
- 1:11:07Speaker 5: Donald, this is a long one, huh.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: I know, I know what we got it going on,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: D and D and and uh and and so many
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: other things. French fries.
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: Okay, let's get back into it. Okay, So we were
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: talking about the awesome.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Uh, I think we've done the one or Justice Johnny's
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: great Charles Pappard, the city came operated a fine job
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: to choreograph Lomark.
- 1:11:27Speaker 5: Buckland missed a man amazing Okay. Uh. Then you with
- 1:11:32Speaker 5: the medical jargon, I know, dude.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: I want to say that was badass, and I was
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: watching him going go Zach because at nine ten, I
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: have a big ass chunk of jargon. And for all
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: of you in the medical profession, who know what the
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: hell I'm saying. You guys are smart and all I
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: had to do was memorize it. I didn't get too
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: many of those, but that was a doozy.
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: That was a doozy. Also, the return of Jimmy Walker.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: Oh so funny. Why are you oh always in my
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: fan No? Why am I?
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: Ways the way you got a problem man? Yeah, by
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: the way, you mentioned it last time, Jimmy Walker showed
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: up and he makes really fun bizarre choices. Yes, like
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: why are you oh in my fantasies? Yeah you got
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: a problem man?
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:12:20Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. That was hilarious, though very interesting
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: line reads. It makes it very very funny. Yeah, that
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: was he was kid dynamite.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: A little bit of trivia on Sarah Chalk in the
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: Catcher outfit. She looks very cute at eleven forty two,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: but she's wearing a left handed mint Donald.
- 1:12:39Speaker 5: Well that's for camera purposes, obviously, I guess so.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: But I'm telling you I looked on the on the
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: on the trivia, and Sarah's a right hander, she shouldn't
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: be wearing a left handed mint.
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: Throw it right here, right here. She was help me
- 1:12:52Speaker 5: to help you. I don't know how she didn't laugh
- 1:12:54Speaker 5: with him doing that in her face.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I think she did. I think I'm to help you,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: I'm sure. On the gagriel, which is probably on YouTube,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: you can see her cracking up at that.
- 1:13:02Speaker 5: Yeah, and now finally, Yeah, it wasn't my final one.
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: Doctor Kelso saying doctor Kelso, I'm not suing the hospital
- 1:13:09Speaker 5: and then him walking out was my biggest laugh of
- 1:13:11Speaker 5: the show. I said it before, I'll say it again.
- 1:13:14Speaker 5: That shit was hilarious.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: Man, that was funny. My heart hates Ugos for fourteen
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: forty fourteen. That's funny, but I mean, it's a funny line.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: But first of all, I'm no piece of art, and
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: the idea that JD was saying he ates Uggos is
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: a bit ridiculous because I'm no Brad Pitt myself. But
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: it was funny.
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: But it was very funny. Yeah, very funny.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: That end song is supposed to be five for Fighting
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: Easy Tonight, for licensing purposing purposes. I listened to it
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: on Was it that on who? You listen on Hulu?
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: No, I saw it on Hulu.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: It wasn't that for sure, Yeah it wasn't. I was
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: on iTunes and it wasn't on iTunes. So, just to reiterate,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: some of you have heard say this a thousand times,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: but those of you who hadn't because there was no
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: streaming and such when this show was made, and these
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: licensing agreements were made with these songs unless you're watching
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: them in certain places you have the DVDs of course,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: or most of the time, when you purchase it, like
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: really purchase it iTunes or Amazon, the songs will be
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: the original songs, I believe. But when you stream, some
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: of those contracts have expired or didn't cover streaming. So
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: someone who we never know and has nothing to do
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: with Bill or Christa who did a lot of the music,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: just put songs in. I'd love to meet that person.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Maybe Joelle can, Maybe Joelle can do a homework assignment
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: on a very special episode of We Got to Bring That.
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: We gotta find that person and be like some mysterious
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: intern at Disney was responsible for just putting in random
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: songs Because I was watching this this montage moment with
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: Sarah starting to kick as in the ICU, and I
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: said to myself, this music isn't moving me. And one
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: of the great things about Scrubs is when they would
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: find the perfect they slash, we would find the perfect
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: bit of music and it would give you goosebumps, and
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: it took the show to the next level. And people
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: love that about the show. And it just goes to
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: show you you can't just stick any old song in there,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: because a lot of the magic of this montage for
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: me was lost because the song did nothing for me.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: No offense to those musicians. It's a lovely song, but
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: it wasn't that magic that happens when you find just
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: the right song. And I bet that five for Fighting
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: Easy Tonight's song would have been perfect. Son you tell
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Judy you love her? At twenty twenty twelve, I was
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: surprised by that. Why you break up for the whole episode?
- 1:15:18Speaker 5: I don't know. I don't think he's trying to break
- 1:15:20Speaker 5: I think I think he's panicking. Yeah, you know what.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: I think the fact that he got upset about her
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: taking the fries panicked him, because that's a sign of
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: I really do care.
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: About. You know what this how this girl makes me feel.
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: I care so much that I'm starting to recognize patterns,
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: you know what I mean. And when you start to
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: recognize patterns, you're invested. And I think Turk realized, Holy cow,
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: I'm so invested in Carla that and and and it's
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: it's it's new for me. Therefore, he snaps with the
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: French Fries and he doesn't know how to take it.
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: And when it comes time to, you know, break up
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: with her, what she thinks is about to happen, he
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: tells her the truth.
- 1:16:07Speaker 5: You know, the writers so much.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: The writers did a good job with that mislead, because
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: I again haven't seen this in twenty years, and I
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: was like, oh did they break up for a few episodes.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: I had no idea that you were about to say
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: I love you.
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: Oh, right on.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: You did a good job though you were. It was
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: a very heartfelt moment. And you're a nine actor, Donald.
- 1:16:23Speaker 5: Faizoon, Oh, Zach Braff, you are a fine actor.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: Two more small things. First time doctor Cox ever calls
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: Sarah Barbie. Okay, just a little trivia for you.
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: The two of them together was really fun. They were
- 1:16:37Speaker 5: really good together.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: They were good. They were good combo. And lastly, because
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: there's girl Scout cookies in this episode, do you want
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: to tell the listeners what your favorite Girl Scout cookie is? Joelle?
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: Do you want to go first? Will don't?
- 1:16:49Speaker 5: I don't fuck?
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: What you?
- 1:16:50Speaker 5: Gho style kikies? Whoa fighting?
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Where's Donald?
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: How can you have by cookies from these adorable little girls?
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: I don't care about the girls. I care about the cookie.
- 1:16:59Speaker 5: I think, yeah, say, I think the cookies are overpriced?
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: You don't, Okay, But for the sake of this fucking exercise,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: can you name your favorite dick?
- 1:17:10Speaker 5: I'll fuck with girl Scott cook?
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Oh, I got all right, Joelle? But Joelle, what's your favorite?
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: I like Samoa's.
- 1:17:15Speaker 5: Samoas are delicious. That a frozen tag along, though, is
- 1:17:19Speaker 5: my favorite. It's the chocolate and peanut buttery one.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: You're one of those ones? Dan, you want to weigh
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: in favorite girls cookie? Oh he's got a box?
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: Oh shit, he's got a box of samoas Samoa's. Just
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: do you have a niece or something like that that
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: you had to buy?
- 1:17:32Speaker 5: Where did you get those I see those girls, I
- 1:17:34Speaker 5: see those girls and their mom on the corner and
- 1:17:37Speaker 5: I'm like, and they're like, girl scott cookies. Do you
- 1:17:39Speaker 5: know my mom?
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: I'm like, no, Dan, Dan, what where did you get those?
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: They come to my parents' neighborhood all the time. Okay,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: so they always hit me up, they said, Dan, they're
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: coming around throws in order and I get in between
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: five and tag boxes of samoas. You know what they're doing?
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: Money?
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: You know what they're doing?
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: Money?
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: Shut up, downs. You're supporting a charity, all right, listen?
- 1:17:59Speaker 5: Oh is it for charity?
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Yeah, they give it to they do girlscout things with it.
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: What girls?
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: Can you think they're just pocketing the money and putting
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: badges on their ship.
- 1:18:07Speaker 5: So let me get this straight.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Yeah, when you think the girls cut cookies aren't doing
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: with that money, let me get a prom.
- 1:18:13Speaker 5: Hold on, let me get this straight.
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: So, when you were a kid and you had to
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: sell candy for something, you didn't pocket that money.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: No, And I never had one of those things because
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: I wasn't involved in any of those activities.
- 1:18:22Speaker 5: You ain't pocket that money. No, you're you're.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: Admitting to the audience that you stole fucking charity money to.
- 1:18:27Speaker 5: Shop the price. All you gotta do is up the price.
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: Oh god, instead of making it a dollar, you make
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: it a dollar fifty and you walk away with fifty cent.
- 1:18:35Speaker 5: You know this is these are these are this is like, uh,
- 1:18:40Speaker 5: how to hustle?
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: You want to learn how to hustle. This is the
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: perfect way to hustle. Listen, they gave Listen they give kids.
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: There's a reason why when you see those kids with
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: the candy and the chocolate bars, that they're charging you
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: five dollars for the chocolate.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Oh my god. Will this Peloton character be back on
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: the next episode or is he just in this episode?
- 1:18:59Speaker 5: He might just be this episode. But I didn't drink. Hey,
- 1:19:01Speaker 5: check this out. I didn't drink this episode.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: Drink, but all worked up because of a Peloton instructor.
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: Because of a Peloton instructor, and how my wife responded
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: to him. I was like, so that was really interesting
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: that you you know, you made me, you gave me
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: that guy. She's like, well, I rode with him this morning.
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: Oh oh okay, Casey Kom got all worked up by
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: this guy.
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: I think she might have got worked Bet he's got
- 1:19:24Speaker 5: better abs than you.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Donald.
- 1:19:25Speaker 5: He definitely has better abs than me. He has better
- 1:19:28Speaker 5: guns than me.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: He's probably got better season, way more stamina than I have. Hey, listen,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: I just want to tell you something. What these girl
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Scouts are doing in California is setting up outside the
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: weed chops because weed is legal here, even for recreational,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: as it is in several other states.
- 1:19:43Speaker 5: So you're telling me that's not a hustle. So you're
- 1:19:45Speaker 5: telling me that.
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: That's a smart hustle.
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: That's a hilarious So it's not a smart hustle to
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: up the price of girl Scout cookies. No, just a
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: smarter hustle just to stay in front of these You're
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: not allowed to have a weed shop within feet of children, right,
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: they're breaking the law. You're breaking the law, Girl Scouts.
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: If you're lining up in front of the weed shop,
- 1:20:06Speaker 3: you're breaking the law. So Donald is now gonna get you,
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: putting the weed shop in jeopardy.
- 1:20:10Speaker 5: I'm just gonna get it out there.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: You're gonna go out there and uh and start breaking
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: it up. Right, get out in front of my wheed shop.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: But let me get a box of Samoa's.
- 1:20:18Speaker 5: First. I'm gonna call the cops. I'm gonna call the
- 1:20:20Speaker 5: cops on them.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: But first let me get a box of ten minutes.
- 1:20:22Speaker 5: The only right, the only way, Loda, what's the what's
- 1:20:26Speaker 5: the actual retail price? What's the actual retail.
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: We've kept you people for an hour and a half.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: We love you, Thank you for listening. This has been
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: fig doctors with real friends, counting in Donald.
- 1:20:37Speaker 5: Boy six seven, eight stories.
- 1:20:40Speaker 6: I'm not sure. We made about a bunch of docs
- 1:20:44Speaker 6: and nurses.
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: And.
- 1:20:47Speaker 6: I said, here's the stories, nets, So yeada
- 1:20:53Speaker 5: Round here, yeada here, No
