  So the first story that I have for you guys today we have an

  update on everything that went down with the book adjacent

  merchandise business, Ali Rosco. So I covered this on mini last

  week, but in case you missed it, Ally Rose Co is a small business

  founded by a 26 year old woman named Ally.

  She sells items such as Kindle cases, stationary bookmarks and
• 2:19
  apparel, and a fair amount of the merchandise features the
• 2:22
  phrase hot girls read The drama all started after Ally shared
• 2:26
  that she had trademarked the phrase hot girls read.

  Many social media users didn't feel like Ally had the right to
• 2:31
  trademark that phrase, noting that it is commonly used and has
• 2:35
  been for. I actually saw somebody on
• 2:38
  TikTok went on our TikTok saying that it dates back to like the
• 2:41
  1970s. Like, it is an archaic term at
• 2:44
  this point. OK, so users claimed that
• 2:47
  ultimately this would hurt many other small businesses that use
• 2:51
  the phrase on their products and was not accurately crediting
• 2:55
  Megan, the stallion who popularized the hot girl
• 2:57
  phrasing as we currently use it. Earlier today, Ali posted on

  TikTok sharing that the trademark had been surrendered.

  She notes that it will take some time to show up and go through,
• 3:07
  but she reassured viewers that it had been filed.

  Ali then went on to issue an apology to other small
• 3:13
  businesses that she may have harmed after filing the
• 3:15
  trademark. In saying that, she clarifies

  that any small businesses that received a cease and desist did
• 3:20
  not come from her and that it was not her intention.

  And I'm not really sure how to receive that.

  But she finishes the video by noting that the profits from any

  apparel with the phrase Hawk Girls read will be donated to

  charity. First and foremost, the

  trademark is being surrendered. It is in the process of being

  filed right now to be abandoned. I want to say that it does take
• 3:40
  time for that to go through, so it's not going to show up
• 3:42
  automatically, but the paperwork has already been filed.

  But more importantly, I want to say I'm so sorry to every small
• 3:48
  business that I harmed in doing this.

  The decision was made more as like a business strategy

  decision than a human being decision, and I take full
• 3:57
  accountability for that. That was entirely wrong on my

  end. I, I hear you and I take that on

  the chin 100%. I want to clear up the last.

  Within the last week, I've seen a lot of screenshots and

  messages from people saying that I sent them a cease and desist
• 4:10
  or I sent them a message on Etsy to remove any hot girls read

  items. I want to say none of those came

  from me because that was not my intent.

  I have not sent any of that since all this.

  Started now the sentiment under her video is quite split.

  Some users are praising Ali for taking this accountability,

  noting that you know this is more than any other corporation

  apologized took accountability and is actually going through

  Honestly, it feels like there's more behind this than just the

  book community reacting because Hawk Girls read isn't only being

  used by small creators, it's a phrase that's already had wider

  use and she knew it. That said, this apology still

  comes across a bit half acknowledged to me.

  I think people were really looking for full accountability

  and clarity on the intent behind it, especially since it's

  clearly caused a lot of frustration and this just didn't

  hit the mark. And then to my point earlier,

  people are like, can you please clarify what you mean by the

  cease and desist comment? People are questioning whether

  this is someone like impersonating her or if her

  legal team did this without her consent.

  Like we need some clarity on what she means.

  Like the cease and desist that were sent to small businesses

  didn't come from her. Like what does that mean?

  I feel like Ali is never going to talk about this again unless

  OK, The next story that I have for you guys today, it's a bit

  of a quick one, but Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have

  broken up. So according to several outlets,

  the two have split after nearly four years together, and they
• 6:18
  apparently split several months ago.

  And it was amicable. So we all know how Ethan and

  Ariana got together and the controversy that ensued.

  But their relationship reportedly began around mid

  2023. Both were previously married

  when they met on the set of Wicked, leading to widespread

  speculation on social media and in the press about alleged

  infidelity. Ethan's ex-wife, Lily publicly

  criticized the relationship, telling page 6 that Ariana is

  not a girl's girl and that Lily's family, including her 11

  month old baby with Ethan, was, quote, collateral damage.

  Because at that time, too, they were fucking everywhere.

  Like, Ariana was everywhere. OK, so Ariana and Ethan did go

  on to be fairly private about their relationship and the pair

  only spoke about one another and posted with each other like very

  occasionally. Last year, breakup rumor started

  swirling as there were limited interactions and sightings of

  will be so much discussion about the tour that it will possibly

  bury the breakup news. The other thing that I I think

  possibly happened was they agreed to maybe like not really

  talk about it publicly, not really address it publicly,

  Daniels is beefing with everyone.

  This is like a two in one story. Usually I do the quicker stories

  So the first part of this story comes from Harry Daniels podcast

  episode with the swiftologist, whose real name is Zach.

  So the collaboration was for Harry's podcast Chronically

  Online. The two sat down and spoke about

  many different topics ranging from pop culture stars to what

  it's like to have an online career, that kind of stuff.

  This conversation has been making the rounds on social

  media for a couple of the topics that they spoke about.

  The major one is because once again, they rehashed the drama

  between Harry Daniels and Cat's Eye after Zach asked Harry point

  blank what went down. So here's a quick summary.

  Harry seemingly fell out with the girls from Cat's Eye after

  allegedly spreading insider information about Mana's

  situation. So as we all know, Mana is on

  receiving insane amounts of hate for allegedly gossiping about

  Mana to Harry. That is how the Internet took

  essentially like jumping to conclusions and speculating.

  And then Harry made the whole situation worse by later leaking

  OK, I did a whole breakdown of like that situation on mini

  maybe last month. It was guys, I don't know minis

  drama channel. He was very central in the

  Colleen Ballinger toxic gossip train scandal situation.

  Basically, Adam claims that he was on a night out in London

  where Harry came up to him and they had a very short civil

  interaction. When he was walking away, he

  heard Harry say, quote, I thought you were going to say it

  to my face. So for context, Adam had covered

  the Harry slash Cat's Eye situation on his own channels

  and he said that Harry's alleged behavior will not bode well for

  him in the industry. That was like the shady part

  that Adam said. After their initial interaction,

  Harry and Adam continue to go back and forth.

  And then Oscar and Tricia came up in the conversation as well.

  So Adam alleged that Harry had made a remark that, quote, Cat's

  eye is only together because of him, which many people have

  found to be odd in the moment. Adam also found it strange, and

  he allegedly said that he is unfamiliar with the situation.

  And then Harry responded, yeah, I'm not going to tell you.

  You're just going to say. Adam said that comment is what

  triggered him to make a video. After Adam made the video, Harry

  responded to the situation on Instagram.

  In one Instagram story, he made some very intense claims.

  He wrote, quote, last time. I acknowledged this because it

  feels cheap on my end. But before I go I have a quick

  And then he tagged Adam. The link was titled on his

  Instagram story Adam McIntyre animal abuse allegations.

  I really don't like that. I actually I don't necessarily

  want to give an error because I'm like scared.

  But there is an organization, you guys might be across them,

  and they kind of do similar stuff to this on YouTube where

  they spam Youtubers comments and tag them in things, things.

  And they, yeah, make clickable links where it's like, oh, this

  is you being racist. And people like their fans and

  stuff will see this in the comment and click on it because

  they think that it's their favorite YouTube being racist or
• 13:47
  whatever. They think that's what they're

  going to see. It's like clickbait essentially.

  And then it will take them to watching really like graphic
• 13:54
  videos and like horrific content.

  It's like a big troll. Anyways, this is obviously not

  quite that, but it gives me that vibe putting in a link Adam

  McIntyre animal abuse allegations.

  OK, so Adam has since made his own response with a video titled

  Harry Daniels defamed me. Adam went through this doc like

  a Google doc that Harry had LinkedIn his Instagram story.

  The Google doc basically had a bunch of quotes that Adam had

  said from public videos about his cats who had FIPA fatal

  disease for cats. So one of his cats, Tyler, died

  within a week, and then his other cat, Milo, likely caught

  that disease from sharing a litter box with Tyler.

  And essentially this doc, like alleged that Adam had killed his

  cat. Throughout this video, Adam

  questions why Harry's team would allow him to post such a thing.

  He also went on to clear up any sort of confusion about the

  situation, questioning why Harry would think alleging him of
• 14:47
  animal abuse was an appropriate response.

  It's super manipulative. It's really horrific.

  He's really scary. And then Adam challenged Harry

  to donate to an organization that supports cats with this

  disease. And he shared a screenshot of

  himself donating 1000 lbs. And he pledged to donate all the

  ad revenue from his Harry Daniels videos to these

  charities in a month's time. And now Harry's comment sections

  are flooded with comments asking him to donate to these

  organizations and to address all of this.
