The United States Senate Rejects the Idea of a Maxwell Pardon · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. The U.S. Senate unanimously has agreed to oppose
• 0:08
Speaker 1: a pardon, or a potential pardon, for Ghislaine Maxwell if
• 0:13
Speaker 1: one is brought to the table. And that's all fine
• 0:16
Speaker 1: and well. But the fact that we even have to
• 0:19
Speaker 1: have that discussion is a problem unto itself. Like how
• 0:24
Speaker 1: could there even be a sentiment or a thought at
• 0:28
Speaker 1: pardoning Somebody like Ghislaine Maxwell. I just can't wrap my
• 0:32
Speaker 1: mind around it. Anybody who looks at the facts of
• 0:36
Speaker 1: the case, and looks at what Ghislaine Maxwell was not
• 0:39
Speaker 1: only accused of, but was convicted of, and thinks she
• 0:42
Speaker 1: should be pardoned, has a mental condition, and they should
• 0:46
Speaker 1: seek immediate help. Because if anybody deserves their sentence, deserves
• 0:51
Speaker 1: more of a sentence, with harsher terms, in my opinion,
• 0:55
Speaker 1: it's Ghislaine Maxwell. So today we have an article from
• 0:59
Speaker 1: the New York Post and the headline, Senate unanimously agrees
• 1:02
Speaker 1: to oppose pardon for Epstein accomplice convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell.
• 1:08
Speaker 1: This article was authored by Zoe Hussain. The Senate unanimously
• 1:14
Speaker 1: agreed on Wednesday that socialite and convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine
• 1:17
Speaker 1: Maxwell should not be allowed a presidential pardon or clemency. Socialite, really?
• 1:24
Speaker 1: That's what we're calling her? How about bipedal serpents? fellow
• 1:27
Speaker 1: child abuser, general, all-around scumbag. Much more fitting. The resolution
• 1:34
Speaker 1: was introduced by Senator Jackie Rosen to prevent the president
• 1:37
Speaker 1: from granting a pardon, commutation, or any other form of
• 1:41
Speaker 1: executive clemency to Maxwell, the accomplice, and occasional girlfriend of
• 1:45
Speaker 1: dead pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The fact that this conversation needs
• 1:49
Speaker 1: to be had, let me reiterate, is ridiculous. Glenn Maxwell
• 1:54
  Speaker 1: shouldn't be pardoned. That's it. That's the whole conversation. We're
• 1:57
Speaker 1: going to go re-litigate it all? Oh, well, see what
• 2:00
Speaker 1: had happened was... I mean, come on. Enough is enough.
• 2:08
Speaker 1: The resolution is not binding, but signals to the Trump
• 2:12
Speaker 1: administration that Senate Republicans and Democrats oppose clemency for Maxwell, 64,
• 2:17
Speaker 1: who is currently serving a 20-year federal prison sentence after
• 2:21
Speaker 1: being convicted in late 2021 on charges including sex trafficking conspiracy,
• 2:27
Speaker 1: and trafficking of a minor. Why is this discussion being had?
• 2:34
Speaker 1: We don't have better things to talk about? You know,
• 2:37
Speaker 1: like the people who enabled Jeffrey Epstein? Or the NPA?
• 2:41
Speaker 1: Or the fact that there's no special counsel yet? It's
• 2:44
Speaker 1: frankly horrifying that Trump would entertain the idea of clemency
• 2:48
Speaker 1: for even a second for a convicted sex trafficker, Rosen
• 2:51
Speaker 1: said in a speech on the Senate floor, according to
• 2:54
Speaker 1: The Hill. Well, she's right about that. Not exactly a
• 2:57
Speaker 1: big fan of Jackie Rosen. She is a senator from
• 3:00
Speaker 1: my state, but I'm not a big fan of her.
• 3:04
Speaker 1: But she's right here. And guess what? When you're right,
• 3:06
Speaker 1: you're right. And she happens to be right about this.
• 3:11
Speaker 1: I find it immoral and disgusting that this is even
• 3:14
Speaker 1: a topic of discussion. If Republicans advance Todd Blanche's nomination
• 3:19
Speaker 1: tomorrow in the Judiciary Committee... This is the least they
• 3:22
Speaker 1: can do to make their opposition to a Maxwell pardon clear,
• 3:25
Speaker 1: she said. Yeah, it's non-binding. Words are wind. They'll say
• 3:31
Speaker 1: one thing and then do another. I mean, look at
• 3:33
Speaker 1: how all these Republicans were so gung-ho before the election
• 3:38
Speaker 1: to get to the bottom of Jeffrey Epstein's crimes. Now, though? Nah,
• 3:42
Speaker 1: come on. I mean, I'm old enough to remember when
• 3:45
Speaker 1: Sean Hannity used to talk about Jeffrey Epstein. But now, crickets.
• 3:50
Speaker 1: Not a word. And why? Well, because it's politically damaging.
• 3:55
Speaker 1: The same reason he was trying to utilize it against
• 3:58
Speaker 1: his enemies. And these same people, people like Sean Hannity,
• 4:02
Speaker 1: they've been paving the road to get Ghislaine Maxwell some
• 4:05
Speaker 1: clemency for whatever reason. Maybe they think that helps out
• 4:09
Speaker 1: their boy. Maybe they just want to remove another damaging
• 4:12
Speaker 1: piece from the table. Whatever the motivation, it's not good.
• 4:18
Speaker 1: A vote to confirm acting Attorney General Todd Blanch as
• 4:21
Speaker 1: Trump's pick to replace former Attorney General Pam Bondi was
• 4:24
Speaker 1: derailed by two Senate Republicans on Wednesday. Not over Epstein, though.
• 4:30
Speaker 1: Has to do with the IRS. And the fund that
• 4:33
Speaker 1: Donald Trump allegedly was setting up to pay people for
• 4:37
Speaker 1: government issues or whatever. You know, government screwed them. Here's
• 4:41
Speaker 1: a fund. Get some money from it. But of course,
• 4:44
Speaker 1: it's not what it seems. Just like everything else this
• 4:46
Speaker 1: government does. Blanche, who oversaw the rollout of the Epstein
• 4:53
Speaker 1: files as Deputy Attorney General, has said he wouldn't recommend
• 4:56
Speaker 1: the pardon for Maxwell. White House officials have repeatedly denied
• 5:00
Speaker 1: that clemency for the convicted sex trafficker is under consideration. Well, look,
• 5:06
Speaker 1: that would be insane, honestly. Even for Donald Trump. Imagine
• 5:11
Speaker 1: giving Ghislaine Maxwell a pardon. Do you know what the
• 5:13
Speaker 1: news cycle would be like? I mean, he'd have to
• 5:17
Speaker 1: drop a nuke in Iran to change the news cycle.
• 5:20
Speaker 1: And yo, real talk, I don't put it past him.
• 5:22
Speaker 1: I honestly don't. I mean, what kind of president gets
• 5:25
Speaker 1: up there and talks about we're going to beat the
• 5:26
Speaker 1: shit out of so-and-so? How about some decorum? How about
• 5:30
Speaker 1: not letting our enemies know what's coming? Trump, however, has
• 5:36
Speaker 1: previously been coy when questioned by reporters about whether he's
• 5:39
Speaker 1: considered granting Maxwell a pardon. I haven't even thought about it.
• 5:43
  Speaker 1: I haven't thought about it for months. Maybe I haven't
• 5:46
Speaker 1: thought about it at all, the president said in November.
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: But I don't talk about that. I don't rule it
• 5:50
Speaker 1: in or out. The month before, Trump had said, I
• 5:53
Speaker 1: will speak to the DOJ. I wouldn't consider it or
• 5:56
Speaker 1: not consider it. I don't know anything about it. Oh,
• 6:00
Speaker 1: sure you don't. Sure you don't know anything about Ghislaine
• 6:03
Speaker 1: Maxwell and her prison sentence. And sure you didn't unleash
• 6:07
Speaker 1: Todd Blanche to go make a deal with her. I'm
• 6:09
Speaker 1: sure that was all organic, right? The Supreme Court rejected
• 6:14
Speaker 1: Maxwell's appeal of her sex trafficking conviction this past October.
• 6:19
Speaker 1: Maxwell appeared virtually before the House Oversight Committee from the
• 6:23
Speaker 1: Minimum Security Texas prison camp in February, where she was
• 6:27
Speaker 1: moved shortly after an interview with Blanche last summer. No answers.
• 6:33
Speaker 1: Nobody stepped up and said, hey, this is why we
• 6:35
Speaker 1: moved her. This is what it was based on. Of course,
• 6:39
Speaker 1: they just say it's protocol. It's in the hands of
• 6:41
Speaker 1: the B.O.P., Until your loved one gets in trouble and
• 6:45
Speaker 1: they send them across the country and they tell you
• 6:47
Speaker 1: to go get fucked. But if it's Glenn Maxwell, ah,
• 6:50
Speaker 1: come on. Not only are we going to sit down
• 6:52
Speaker 1: with her, but we're going to move her to Camp
• 6:54
Speaker 1: Ryan and we're going to hook her up. Whatever she wants. Puppies, Chick-fil-A,
• 6:58
Speaker 1: extra computer time, hoodies, whatever it is. Does that sound
• 7:04
Speaker 1: like the treatment a human trafficking child molester should get?
• 7:10
Speaker 1: And people can talk all the bullshit they want about
• 7:12
Speaker 1: anybody else, try and pass the buck. Who's in charge
• 7:15
Speaker 1: right now? Who made that deal with Glenn Maxwell? Well,
• 7:19
Speaker 1: we know who made the deal. Donald Trump and Todd Blanch.
• 7:23
Speaker 1: And those are just the facts. And if you want
• 7:25
Speaker 1: to be mad about it, be mad about it. But
• 7:27
Speaker 1: be mad at Trump. He's the one who is in
• 7:30
Speaker 1: control here. He's the one behind the sticks. And in
• 7:34
Speaker 1: my opinion, this whole entire cover-up originated in the White House.
• 7:40
Speaker 1: She invoked her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination during the deposition.
• 7:45
Speaker 1: Her defense lawyer, David Oscar Marcus, said she was eager
• 7:48
Speaker 1: to testify that President Trump and former President Bill Clinton
• 7:52
Speaker 1: were innocent of any wrongdoing, despite ties to Epstein in
• 7:55
Speaker 1: the 90s and 2000s. So how could she know that?
• 7:59
Speaker 1: I thought Ghislaine Maxwell was nowhere near Jeffrey Epstein after
• 8:02
Speaker 1: about 2004, 2005. What happened, Ghislaine? Did you lie? You
• 8:07
Speaker 1: would never do that, right? The world's biggest liar telling lies?
• 8:11
Speaker 1: Who would have ever expected it? What's next? I'm going
• 8:14
Speaker 1: to have a big mouth? The absurdity of it all, folks.
• 8:19
Speaker 1: The fucking absurdity of it all. And I can't even
• 8:21
Speaker 1: believe this conversation's happening. I know I keep saying that,
• 8:24
Speaker 1: but I'm truly in disbelief. I thought that when Ghislaine
• 8:27
Speaker 1: Maxwell exhausted her appeal attempts and the Supreme Court told
• 8:32
Speaker 1: her to get stuffed, that would be the end of it.
• 8:34
Speaker 1: But when you've got enough money, enough power, and enough
• 8:37
Speaker 1: dirt on people, maybe, Well, I guess the rules change.
• 8:42
Speaker 1: I guess there's that two-tier justice system we all love
• 8:45
Speaker 1: so much. One set of rules for them, another set
• 8:49
Speaker 1: of rules for people like us. And then you have
• 8:52
Speaker 1: her lawyer, David Oscar Marcus, who is just absolutely ridiculous.
• 8:57
Speaker 1: Now look, I get it. You have to pine for
• 9:00
Speaker 1: your client, right? You have to passionately defend them and
• 9:04
Speaker 1: do everything you can to get them out. I get that.
• 9:06
Speaker 1: But some of the ridiculous nonsense that comes out of
• 9:09
Speaker 1: his mouth is just absurd. It's like the stuff Andrew
• 9:13
Speaker 1: Tate's lawyers are saying. Does anyone really believe that? Andrew
• 9:16
Speaker 1: Tate's the reason that Donald Trump got elected? What? Like,
• 9:19
Speaker 1: come on. You really think that guy has that much pull,
• 9:23
Speaker 1: that much power? He doesn't. But it's the same nonsense
• 9:27
Speaker 1: with David Oscar Marquez. talking about Ghislaine Maxwell like she's
• 9:30
Speaker 1: some kind of victim, like she wasn't convicted by a
• 9:32
Speaker 1: jury of her peers, like that conviction wasn't upheld by
• 9:36
Speaker 1: the Second Circuit, like that conviction wasn't upheld by the
• 9:40
Speaker 1: Supreme Court. So who are you trying to kid? Some
• 9:44
Speaker 1: of us actually know the story. Some of us have
• 9:48
Speaker 1: actually looked at the court documents. And what those court
• 9:51
Speaker 1: documents tell us? Well, they tell us that Ghislaine Maxwell
• 9:54
Speaker 1: is exactly where she belongs. Well, she was until her
• 9:58
Speaker 1: buddy Todd Blanche moved her, But if anybody deserves to
• 10:01
Speaker 1: be behind bars for what happened with Jeffrey Epstein, for
• 10:04
Speaker 1: what they did in association with Jeffrey Epstein, for the
• 10:09
Speaker 1: pain and suffering they caused on their own, then well, folks,
• 10:13
Speaker 1: it's none other than Ghislaine Maxwell. All the information that
• 10:18
Speaker 1: goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
