- 0:00Speaker 1: Are you scared for your safety?
- 0:02Speaker 2: That's a complicated question.
- 0:03Speaker 3: So being here today, if I say the wrong word,
- 0:05Speaker 3: I can be charged with.
- 0:06Speaker 4: That's a complicated question.
- 0:09Speaker 2: So being here today if I can be charged with.
- 0:14Speaker 3: And now back to the We're into another new hour
- 0:22Speaker 3: insensitivity training for a politically correct world. Woodie, Greg Hey, Menace, Yeah, Gina,
- 0:28Speaker 3: Hi Sea Bass, Sammy Morgan, Yo, phone's open eight seven
- 0:34Speaker 3: four Woodie text us check in over to two two
- 0:37Speaker 3: nine eight seven. I do have a topic based on
- 0:41Speaker 3: something we just talked about recently, and I want to
- 0:43Speaker 3: see what you got on it. But I'm gonna start
- 0:45Speaker 3: with this. It's some Christmas news for Sammy. Okay. After
- 0:49Speaker 3: years of trying to open candy canes without breaking them, Yeah, impossible,
- 0:56Speaker 3: someone to struggle, someone's finally invented away to help out.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Greg So brock Candy, you know brox Oh yeah, oh.
- 1:04Speaker 3: They have come out with this official candy cane opener
- 1:09Speaker 3: and it's a it's real simple to use. Apparently, it's
- 1:11Speaker 3: just a small opener that fits in your hand and
- 1:13Speaker 3: all you have to do is stick the long part
- 1:16Speaker 3: of the candy cane inside the opener and it will
- 1:19Speaker 3: cut the wrapper open for you. You can find it
- 1:23Speaker 3: the caneopener dot com. Okay, the cane opener dot com
- 1:29Speaker 3: five bucks and comes with a box of candy canes.
- 1:34Speaker 3: What a deal. That's a great deal. And it doubles
- 1:39Speaker 3: as a Christmas ornament when you're not using it. So
- 1:42Speaker 3: if you hang, do you hang uh candy canes on
- 1:45Speaker 3: the tree? I do not, you don't. My wife?
- 1:47Speaker 2: My wife does that.
- 1:49Speaker 5: I think it's kind of trash.
- 1:52Speaker 4: If you need filler, yeah, but if you were to
- 1:57Speaker 4: live another ten thousand years, would you have one care
- 2:00Speaker 4: andy cane?
- 2:00Speaker 2: Does not? Anybody candy my kids?
- 2:03Speaker 1: My kids eat them, especially peppermint ones that are like.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Fruit flavor, like the little mini ones are cool. And
- 2:08Speaker 5: then all for hanging. Yeah, I don't think on the tree,
- 2:12Speaker 5: but like on I don't know if you have a
- 2:14Speaker 5: fireplace or something like that. The decor right there is cool.
- 2:17Speaker 5: What do you mean candy canes like decoration?
- 2:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:20Speaker 6: Or I'll put them in a little kind of jar
- 2:21Speaker 6: thing and have them hooked around the edge.
- 2:23Speaker 4: It's at the end of Christmas. Throw them out. Yes,
- 2:27Speaker 4: it's like sucking on toothpaste. Now the kids, the kids
- 2:29Speaker 4: eat them. You're right, the fruit flavored one, just the
- 2:34Speaker 4: original like red and white ones.
- 2:36Speaker 3: The kids, the kids eat them. The fruit flavor is
- 2:38Speaker 3: so good. Yeah, those are the only good ones.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Those are not dog No.
- 2:43Speaker 6: Like the opener is great though, because because kids do
- 2:45Speaker 6: get very disappointed if you go to open the candy
- 2:48Speaker 6: cane and it breaks.
- 2:49Speaker 7: They're like, oh, yeah, all right, but this is not
- 2:51Speaker 7: an ornament. This is an ugly pencil sharpener.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:54Speaker 3: So saying with the candy thing, Gina was mentioning about,
- 2:59Speaker 3: like you know, when you went trig or treating, some
- 3:02Speaker 3: parents would take the kids to the emergency room to
- 3:06Speaker 3: the hospital, not because somebody got hurt or poisoned, I
- 3:08Speaker 3: don't know, you would bring your candy so they could
- 3:11Speaker 3: X ray it.
- 3:14Speaker 8: All.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Getting Peggy's minivan.
- 3:16Speaker 3: My mom had told, you know me, like, don't eat
- 3:19Speaker 3: the candy before you get home and I have a
- 3:21Speaker 3: chance to look at it. Because that was in the
- 3:23Speaker 3: height of this is like the eighties panic where everybody's
- 3:27Speaker 3: taking their people are putting staples now. Also at that point,
- 3:29Speaker 3: that was still in the era where people were giving
- 3:32Speaker 3: like homemade or home baked things, so popcorn balls, little
- 3:37Speaker 3: little like sandwich baggies of like cookies candy apple, that
- 3:43Speaker 3: stuff we were never allowed to eat and quite honestly
- 3:45Speaker 3: never even thought to eat those things because you wanted
- 3:48Speaker 3: the actual candy trash, but no one was putting stuff
- 3:51Speaker 3: in like a Hershey Bar peanut butter cup kind of
- 3:55Speaker 3: thing exactly. So this just goes into the whole idea
- 3:58Speaker 3: of there's some really pair annoyed parents out there. Oh yeah,
- 4:01Speaker 3: and you just look at the difference. You know, I'm
- 4:03Speaker 3: forty nine years old, so my era, the gen X era,
- 4:08Speaker 3: compared to the like the younger millennials and Gen Z
- 4:13Speaker 3: like that side older millennials, you guys are more more
- 4:17Speaker 3: gen X in this way where the parents weren't nearly
- 4:21Speaker 3: as consumed with knowing every minute of their child's day
- 4:27Speaker 3: and what they're doing and where they're at in that
- 4:29Speaker 3: exact moment as it is now. Sure, like there's way
- 4:33Speaker 3: more I don't know what they call it. It used to
- 4:34Speaker 3: be like helicopter parents, yeah, and parents, But there are
- 4:38Speaker 3: some paranoid parents out there.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I think like the generation that we grew up
- 4:43Speaker 5: in definitely paranoid millennial. Like, I feel like parents want
- 4:49Speaker 5: to be best friends.
- 4:49Speaker 2: With their kids.
- 4:50Speaker 3: You think our parents were paranoid yeah, I think it's
- 4:53Speaker 3: the opposite.
- 4:54Speaker 7: Goes back and forth, like remember there were commercials saying
- 4:57Speaker 7: it's ten o'clock, do you know your children are?
- 5:00Speaker 5: They didn't know where I'm like, well, I'm slightly younger
- 5:04Speaker 5: than you, just like by a hair and I'm in
- 5:07Speaker 5: that weird like analog technology era that they say, which
- 5:11Speaker 5: is a different generation. And then I'm telling you, like
- 5:14Speaker 5: my parents super paranoid.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Well I think it's I think it's your parents. I
- 5:20Speaker 3: think in general it wasn't like that. Even in that era.
- 5:22Speaker 1: It wasn't like that.
- 5:23Speaker 7: But all the boogeyman stuff like the candy or the
- 5:25Speaker 7: white van, like they had random stuff they would focus on,
- 5:28Speaker 7: and otherwise they didn't know where we were there.
- 5:30Speaker 5: I grew up in they had like you know, the
- 5:33Speaker 5: Zodiac Killer and like all like the nice soccer.
- 5:37Speaker 3: So here here's the question, and I'm throwing this out
- 5:40Speaker 3: and you guys can text in call in eight seven
- 5:43Speaker 3: seven forty four, Woody text over to two two nine
- 5:46Speaker 3: eighty seven. Did you have a paranoid Like did you
- 5:49Speaker 3: have a paranoid parent? Do you know a paranoid parent? Like,
- 5:54Speaker 3: oh my sisters, so whatever that is, or are you
- 5:59Speaker 3: a paranoid parent, admit it.
- 6:00Speaker 2: So one of one of the three.
- 6:02Speaker 3: If you if you have an example to share, did
- 6:05Speaker 3: you have a paranoid parent and what made them so paranoid?
- 6:10Speaker 3: Do you know a paranoid parent? Or are you a
- 6:14Speaker 3: paranoid parent? And it's probably more so. And I don't
- 6:17Speaker 3: know this, I don't love kids, but with the first
- 6:19Speaker 3: child more than the child, that's the way it usually does.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Because so like when my brother was a baby, if
- 6:25Speaker 4: he so much has just brushed his pacifier on anything
- 6:28Speaker 4: other than just holding it up, like if it fell
- 6:31Speaker 4: on the floor, my mom would boil it.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Boil it with me.
- 6:35Speaker 4: I could drop it in a pile of dog crab, true,
- 6:38Speaker 4: and just pick it up, wipe it on your pants,
- 6:40Speaker 4: and throw it.
- 6:40Speaker 2: In your mouth.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's that's true. It's the first child. Yeah,
- 6:45Speaker 3: eight seven seven forty four, Woodie paranoid parents? Are you
- 6:50Speaker 3: a paranoid parent? Did you have a paranoid parent or
- 6:53Speaker 3: do you know one? And uh, what are they doing
- 6:56Speaker 3: that that makes you say that they're paranoid?
- 6:58Speaker 1: Yeah? I want to hear this.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Hit us up. We'll get to those coming up. Next
- 7:02Speaker 3: to breaking news, Greg Gory had to take a major
- 7:05Speaker 3: out of work.
- 7:06Speaker 9: Not since the Fall of Rome has there been this
- 7:08Speaker 9: much devastation or death.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Woody Woody, And now back to the Woody Show. Paranoid parents. Now,
- 7:19Speaker 3: somebody was asking Gina, did the mom have some kind
- 7:22Speaker 3: of hook up at the hospital. Now, the hospitals there were,
- 7:28Speaker 3: you know how like a dentist's office will do that,
- 7:30Speaker 3: like right after Halloween they'll say, oh, you can trade
- 7:34Speaker 3: your candy in here.
- 7:35Speaker 2: For a big brush.
- 7:37Speaker 3: I did hear about local hospitals from time to time
- 7:40Speaker 3: saying that it was, but I never thought anybody actually
- 7:43Speaker 3: did it. But oh no, that was Yeah, that was
- 7:46Speaker 3: Gina's friend's mom that would get all the girls together
- 7:49Speaker 3: and bring them down there. All right, So are you
- 7:50Speaker 3: a paranoid parent? Did you have a paranoid parent? Or
- 7:54Speaker 3: do you just know of a paranoid parent? And what
- 7:56Speaker 3: makes them so paranoid? Eight seven seven four do you?
- 8:00Speaker 3: Is the phone number? Text us over to two two
- 8:02Speaker 3: nine eighty seven. Katie is first, Hey, what's up Katie?
- 8:05Speaker 2: And Katie?
- 8:07Speaker 8: Hi, good morning?
- 8:09Speaker 3: So who's the paranoid parent?
- 8:10Speaker 2: Are you?
- 8:11Speaker 3: Or you got one?
- 8:13Speaker 5: Now?
- 8:13Speaker 8: I probably was a paranoid parent when my kids were younger,
- 8:16Speaker 8: but once I turn eighteen. I was like, go have it.
- 8:19Speaker 8: My son is in his twenties and dates a gal
- 8:22Speaker 8: that's twenty two, and her mother still requires her to
- 8:25Speaker 8: get home during the week by nine pm and on
- 8:28Speaker 8: the weekend by ten pm.
- 8:29Speaker 3: She's twenty two.
- 8:31Speaker 5: How does that work? I mean, if she lives in
- 8:33Speaker 5: my house, she goes by my rule.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe pretty much.
- 8:37Speaker 8: That's probably how it is. And the thing that makes
- 8:39Speaker 8: me giggle is that her brothers have girlfriends that live
- 8:41Speaker 8: in the house. They've kind of told mom no, no,
- 8:45Speaker 8: you know, and they've tried to tell her, tell mom,
- 8:47Speaker 8: knock it off, you know. But she's just very respectful,
- 8:51Speaker 8: I'm going to say, of her mom. But it just
- 8:54Speaker 8: it's so stressful for them.
- 8:56Speaker 5: On a date, Wait, how long has we.
- 8:57Speaker 8: Go to a restaurant?
- 8:58Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:58Speaker 3: How long has your son been with the chick?
- 9:01Speaker 8: A year?
- 9:03Speaker 3: Cut and run?
- 9:03Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 9:04Speaker 3: Wait?
- 9:04Speaker 5: What time does she have to be home again?
- 9:06Speaker 3: Nine?
- 9:06Speaker 8: Nine nine during the week ten on the weekend. I
- 9:10Speaker 8: mean she go to a concert one time and she
- 9:12Speaker 8: got home.
- 9:12Speaker 5: At one Is she in school or by chance or
- 9:18Speaker 5: anything like that?
- 9:19Speaker 3: Is just twenty two? Man, she works.
- 9:21Speaker 5: Just ask him, maybe getting a master's or something.
- 9:24Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 9:25Speaker 7: It's always that's not cool. It's always different with the
- 9:27Speaker 7: girls too, Like you said, like the guys like come
- 9:29Speaker 7: and go, the girls on lockdown.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Yeah, but also you gotta be you gotta be careful.
- 9:34Speaker 8: And she's the first girl, and I just think mommy's
- 9:37Speaker 8: afraid to let that.
- 9:39Speaker 3: That's a little bit that stuff rubs up. That's why
- 9:41Speaker 3: they say that you want to see what your future
- 9:42Speaker 3: looks like when you're dating somebody. Look at the mother, right,
- 9:45Speaker 3: so like that kind of crazy might be genetic.
- 9:50Speaker 8: He loves her dually and the family is all great,
- 9:53Speaker 8: all of them.
- 9:53Speaker 3: It's just the mother just yeah, yeah, all right, Katie,
- 9:57Speaker 3: thanks you for the appreciate listening the Woodie Show. Four
- 10:02Speaker 3: what he sent us a text over to two two
- 10:03Speaker 3: nine eighty seven one on the text as my sister
- 10:07Speaker 3: in law, such a paranoid parent. She went to her
- 10:09Speaker 3: daughter's prom, waited for her in the parking lot, also
- 10:12Speaker 3: went with her on the senior trip, and she still
- 10:15Speaker 3: cuts her food for her. She's nineteen years So.
- 10:19Speaker 7: Dere's psychological problem. That's like a mental illness, right, yes, yeah,
- 10:23Speaker 7: that's horrifying.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Cuts her food cuts her mind up.
- 10:26Speaker 1: God does the other girl, not of hands.
- 10:30Speaker 2: That is horror movie kind of stuff. A text.
- 10:33Speaker 3: My mom wouldn't let me ride those little horses outside
- 10:36Speaker 3: the grocery store that were electric. She was afraid they
- 10:39Speaker 3: would blow up.
- 10:44Speaker 1: That's a reasonable fear of shirre.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Happens a lot a lot of kids that way.
- 10:49Speaker 3: I mean, my wife's pushing fifty and her dad like,
- 10:53Speaker 3: she'll go with the kids to go visit her parents,
- 10:56Speaker 3: and she'll be going to meet like her cousins for
- 10:58Speaker 3: dinner or something like that, and her dad will insist
- 11:02Speaker 3: that she calls when she gets to her location.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I get I don't.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Think that's weird.
- 11:07Speaker 3: It's weird.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I don't think that's weird. I think it's nice.
- 11:11Speaker 3: But it's nice to say. But like he truly means it,
- 11:14Speaker 3: because if if enough time goes by, he'll call her
- 11:17Speaker 3: and go, hey, did you make it seriously serious?
- 11:24Speaker 2: I support it.
- 11:24Speaker 7: I'm in my forties deep and I've gone home to
- 11:28Speaker 7: see my mom a billion times, and I've never been
- 11:30Speaker 7: allowed allowed. It's been heavily discouraged that I rent a
- 11:34Speaker 7: car if I need to go somewhere, she has to
- 11:36Speaker 7: take me.
- 11:36Speaker 1: WHOA Yeah, but just because she wants to be with you.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 11:40Speaker 5: I guess because I have families like that. They just
- 11:42Speaker 5: want to, you know, be hanging out with.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Okay, she's not like I'll just wear a car. No,
- 11:49Speaker 2: this one.
- 11:49Speaker 3: My daughter is a ninth grader and has a friend
- 11:51Speaker 3: whose mom thinks that she takes her mask off, she
- 11:53Speaker 3: will instantly get COVID. Really still, the girl has to
- 11:57Speaker 3: wear a mask every day of her life, no matter
- 11:59Speaker 3: where she is. Ever since COVID started, she's never allowed
- 12:03Speaker 3: to go anywhere with her friends. My daughter had a
- 12:05Speaker 3: birthday a few years back and the mom said that
- 12:09Speaker 3: she couldn't go to the party because she wouldn't be
- 12:11Speaker 3: able to take her mask off. There stop it. She's
- 12:14Speaker 3: ruining her daughter's childhood and doesn't even know it.
- 12:16Speaker 5: Yeah, that's that's crazy to be right.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not normal.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm a paranoid parent because I know what the
- 12:28Speaker 3: hell I did when I was younger, so I know
- 12:30Speaker 3: the possibilities. True, I mean, we all do. We all
- 12:34Speaker 3: did stuff. It's why I have to have a conversation
- 12:36Speaker 3: with my wife every once in a while to remind
- 12:38Speaker 3: her of that stuff. And then my wife says, well,
- 12:40Speaker 3: I was a good kid, I'm like, Okay, I'm sure
- 12:43Speaker 3: everything you did your parents were aware of. You never
- 12:45Speaker 3: did anything that your parents. I can think of a
- 12:47Speaker 3: couple of things that I know about that her parents
- 12:49Speaker 3: have no idea. Yeah, so you know, not that she
- 12:53Speaker 3: was like a bad kid, but nobody was an angel.
- 12:57Speaker 7: I was damn near perfect. But I was smoking a
- 13:00Speaker 7: on a weed at like fifteen. I don't think my
- 13:02Speaker 7: mom would have liked that.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Hey, what's up what you show? A friend wouldn't let
- 13:06Speaker 3: her son, her son's one high school age and another
- 13:10Speaker 3: one just a little bit younger, cook or shower when
- 13:13Speaker 3: they were home alone.
- 13:14Speaker 5: Okay, well, for fear of an accident, shower, don't depending.
- 13:19Speaker 2: On the age, that makes sense.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's that's insane.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Like you can get a job working food somewhere at
- 13:27Speaker 3: the fryar.
- 13:28Speaker 5: Yeah, but you know you probably have some of the
- 13:30Speaker 5: family members you're like, you know what, you shouldn't be
- 13:32Speaker 5: cooking by.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Yourself at home in a shower. Oh my god.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Let's see, had a friend growing up whose mom was
- 13:39Speaker 3: super worried about someone kidnapping her and she was a vet,
- 13:43Speaker 3: so she implanted a tracker in the back of her neck. Really,
- 13:46Speaker 3: that's I used to ask her to see it all
- 13:50Speaker 3: the time. She probably Here's the thing though, she probably
- 13:52Speaker 3: told her daughter that she did that because you know
- 13:56Speaker 3: you can like you know you can ye chip.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Chip your cat.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Yeah, you chip a pet.
- 14:00Speaker 5: She probably told her that to make her think I
- 14:03Speaker 5: know where you are.
- 14:04Speaker 3: That's what it was.
- 14:05Speaker 5: But that's a great idea.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Just tell them another text here it says, I am
- 14:11Speaker 3: twenty eight years old and my mom still has my
- 14:14Speaker 3: email password and we'll read through my emails. Wo change
- 14:19Speaker 3: word right. Yeah, but then you got to deal with that.
- 14:22Speaker 3: It depends on Yeah, so I know. But like you know,
- 14:26Speaker 3: some people go crazy and like do you want the
- 14:28Speaker 3: or don't you really care?
- 14:29Speaker 7: Well, at that point, you just have a backup email,
- 14:31Speaker 7: and that's where all the good emails going.
- 14:33Speaker 2: That's where the.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I I know a paranoid parent that won't let their
- 14:38Speaker 3: kid eat strawberries because of the levels of pesticide residence.
- 14:42Speaker 7: Oh, I know I have one of those parents. I
- 14:45Speaker 7: know one of those parents and they only when they're baking.
- 14:49Speaker 7: They won't use food coloring, to only use like beat
- 14:52Speaker 7: juice and die.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:55Speaker 8: Oh.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Rizzuto gotten a big argument with his wife years ago
- 14:59Speaker 3: because he gave I think it was his son, and
- 15:00Speaker 3: gave him like a single freedo and she lost her
- 15:03Speaker 3: mind and he's like you know what, and he like
- 15:05Speaker 3: he like left the house and took a walk around
- 15:06Speaker 3: the neighborhood and in barefoot got so heated.
- 15:11Speaker 2: You know, I'm one freedom one in the kid's life, right.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Yeah. Another text came in said that when I was
- 15:19Speaker 3: growing up, my mom used to make me take a
- 15:21Speaker 3: pregnancy test once every two weeks.
- 15:23Speaker 1: That's not okay unless you're a megaslore. Yeah, that's weird
- 15:28Speaker 1: and invasive.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know why.
- 15:32Speaker 3: I like, in other words, I know why to make
- 15:35Speaker 3: sure she's not pregnant, but like, like, why did you
- 15:37Speaker 3: decide to do that in the first place, Well, to not.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Trust your kid that much, I don't know. It's weird.
- 15:43Speaker 5: Kids are not taking it is.
- 15:45Speaker 6: Like Gina said, implying that she's a whore.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Basically, she maybe she had scare and that's that with mom.
- 15:51Speaker 5: Well, I mean, who's going to be taking care of
- 15:53Speaker 5: that kid? Is the question? Sure, but they end up
- 15:55Speaker 5: having one control.
- 15:58Speaker 1: And other things.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Is this paranoia or is this yeah, it.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Is very control.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Yeah, A lot of stuff about like people putting your favorites,
- 16:09Speaker 3: the air tags and stuff this, uh, this one. Mom
- 16:14Speaker 3: will just refresh, like they'll be sitting there at coffee
- 16:16Speaker 3: and just refresh, refresh, refresh, like constantly looking.
- 16:20Speaker 1: They just don't have a kid.
- 16:21Speaker 3: I don't know. Well, so you know, we went through
- 16:26Speaker 3: a thing where you know, we had to get the
- 16:27Speaker 3: mommy daddy phone, you know, for my son and like.
- 16:30Speaker 3: But that was a reaction to something and that is
- 16:33Speaker 3: not a foreverything plan that we have, Like, I would
- 16:38Speaker 3: rather things not be that way. So I do understand
- 16:40Speaker 3: that there are some circumstances like that pregnancy testing, Like
- 16:43Speaker 3: did she get knocked up? Probably something happened, so now
- 16:46Speaker 3: the mom's worried about that happening.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Again, that's the only thing I could justify it if.
- 16:50Speaker 3: It was just like out of nowhere, because she was
- 16:52Speaker 3: doing certain things when she was a kid. Now she's
- 16:54Speaker 3: putting this on. That's different. H My seven year old
- 16:58Speaker 3: wants to play outside in the backyard, but his friend.
- 17:03Speaker 3: The mom refuses because somebody might walk by and see
- 17:06Speaker 3: you and you would get kidnapped. So the mom has
- 17:10Speaker 3: to be outside otherwise the kid can't be outside. This
- 17:14Speaker 3: goes back to it's ten pm. Do you know where
- 17:16Speaker 3: your kids are?
- 17:17Speaker 1: Nobody wants your kid.
- 17:19Speaker 3: My mom was single mom, and she was working full
- 17:22Speaker 3: time and going to school full time. So what are
- 17:24Speaker 3: they call it? Latch key kid?
- 17:26Speaker 10: Yep?
- 17:26Speaker 5: I was okay.
- 17:26Speaker 3: So I remember I had a key to our apartment
- 17:30Speaker 3: on a string that was around my neck.
- 17:32Speaker 9: Yep.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I was eight years old. Yeah, and I would
- 17:35Speaker 3: let myself into the apartment after school, get off the bus,
- 17:38Speaker 3: let myself into the apartment, and then drop my stuff
- 17:40Speaker 3: off and go outside with my friends. I'm eight, yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 3: you know, and my mom wouldn't get home from work
- 17:45Speaker 3: until like regular getting in and getting home from work time,
- 17:49Speaker 3: and that was it. I would, you know, come in
- 17:50Speaker 3: when get dark, I lock the door. I knew to
- 17:52Speaker 3: do that, and everything was fine.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Where there was like a there was a mom who
- 18:01Speaker 3: let their kid, we talked about it, let their kid
- 18:03Speaker 3: go to the park. Yeah, and someone called the cops
- 18:07Speaker 3: and she got in trouble.
- 18:08Speaker 2: She got arrested. Yeah, so stupid. My parents would be
- 18:14Speaker 2: in prison right now.
- 18:16Speaker 3: My mother in law wipes down every grocery item with
- 18:18Speaker 3: disinfecting wipes, and it makes the family wash hands before
- 18:21Speaker 3: touching anything. Ratings come out every week and if they're
- 18:27Speaker 3: not good, and we got a dumb ass contest, ladies
- 18:37Speaker 3: and gentlemen, boys and girls, let's play the.
- 18:41Speaker 5: Yes, let us.
- 18:44Speaker 3: All right, so Craigslist prices Riot, these are things that
- 18:47Speaker 3: will be being sold on Craigslist. I will tell everybody
- 18:50Speaker 3: about the item. I will ask somebody in the studio
- 18:52Speaker 3: to give me a bit on how much they think
- 18:54Speaker 3: it's being sold for on Craigslist. You, as the contestant
- 18:57Speaker 3: on the phone, just have to guess is the act
- 19:00Speaker 3: well Craigslist price higher or lower than the bid that
- 19:02Speaker 3: was given here by somebody in the studio. Even if
- 19:04Speaker 3: you could do that correct, you're going to be the winner.
