- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark simonshell on or well, I'm back, way too
- 0:12Speaker 1: long a vacation. Every host was gone for two weeks.
- 0:15Speaker 1: That today everybody back to normal. Everybody's back. You know,
- 0:19Speaker 1: it's nice to get away a nice, quiet vacation. As
- 0:23Speaker 1: I was saying, the President of the United States, Donald Trump,
- 0:26Speaker 1: very unusual. Normally a president takes a break, a vacation.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Bush would go to the ranch, the ranch, quiet, peaceful,
- 0:35Speaker 1: roaring fire, quiet on the ranch. Joe Biden, would you
- 0:42Speaker 1: know some billionaire oligarch would lend him the house on
- 0:47Speaker 1: Nantucket and he goes sit there on Nantucket? Is it
- 0:51Speaker 1: Martha's vineyard? Even quieter? Martha's vineyard, roaring fire, snow outside, quiet,
- 0:59Speaker 1: Trump fun vacation goes tomorrow. Lago that place Christmas Week
- 1:05Speaker 1: is a billion people all crammed into. It's the most crowded, chaotic,
- 1:10Speaker 1: noisy place you've ever seen. It's just a total circus
- 1:15Speaker 1: going on there around the clock. Now that's the way
- 1:18Speaker 1: he is. In fact, after two weeks there, I watched
- 1:22Speaker 1: him last night fly back to the White House. The
- 1:24Speaker 1: helicopter landed on the lawn and he walked into the
- 1:27Speaker 1: White House, and the White House for him is getting away.
- 1:30Speaker 1: The White House was peace and quiet for him, compared
- 1:33Speaker 1: to the unbelievably chaotic mar A Lago, just packed with people.
- 1:40Speaker 1: You hear all these people, you see them on Instagram.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Who went tomorrow Lago for the New Year's Eve party
- 1:46Speaker 1: or for Christmas dinner? Or you see him there in
- 1:50Speaker 1: the dining looks so nice and beautiful and you think,
- 1:52Speaker 1: what a wonderful Hey, where do he actually go there?
- 1:57Speaker 1: You know, you know, just pull up to the door
- 1:58Speaker 1: and get out of the car in the valley whisks
- 2:01Speaker 1: your car away. It's not that simple. You pull up
- 2:04Speaker 1: like four blocks away to a checkpoint where the Secret Service,
- 2:09Speaker 1: the FBI, guns big massive machine guns in their hand
- 2:14Speaker 1: and dogs everywhere, take your car apart for twenty minutes.
- 2:17Speaker 1: You have to open the hood, you have to open
- 2:20Speaker 1: the trunk. They have to look They literally look through
- 2:22Speaker 1: your engine. They inspect every inch of your car inside.
- 2:26Speaker 1: They even get under your car. They have a long
- 2:28Speaker 1: pole with a mirror that they slip under your car.
- 2:31Speaker 1: They look at everything. This takes forever. This is not
- 2:34Speaker 1: to mention frisking you, searching you, checking all your identity.
- 2:38Speaker 1: This is like a forty minute process. It makes TSA
- 2:42Speaker 1: at the airport look like a breeze. This is just
- 2:45Speaker 1: to get into Borrow Lago. It's just it's a crazy place.
- 2:49Speaker 1: But we're glad everybody's back. So the CBS Evening News
- 2:54Speaker 1: has a brand new anchor and tonight was supposed to
- 2:57Speaker 1: be his big debut. But then Saturday night, the Maduro
- 3:02Speaker 1: capture takes place. This is big breaking news. So they
- 3:06Speaker 1: decided the new anchor, I tell you his name, but
- 3:08Speaker 1: who the hell can remember it? And why remember it?
- 3:11Speaker 1: The last three anchors of the CBS Evening News actually
- 3:14Speaker 1: pay for the last five of them. Nobody remembers anyway.
- 3:17Speaker 1: But he decided he would anchor the Saturday night Evening News,
- 3:21Speaker 1: that he would move it up and that would be
- 3:24Speaker 1: his debut, and it was quite shocking.
- 3:28Speaker 2: You know.
- 3:28Speaker 1: They got this new Barry Weiss who took over CBS
- 3:31Speaker 1: News claims she's going to clean up the corruption is
- 3:34Speaker 1: CBS News is the dirtiest, most corrupt, slanted, partisan, misleading,
- 3:40Speaker 1: biased news organization. She claimed she would clean it up. Well,
- 3:46Speaker 1: there was evidence of that. Saturday Night, the CBS Evening
- 3:48Speaker 1: News with the new guy. I think his name is
- 3:50Speaker 1: David something, who the hell knows but he took over,
- 3:54Speaker 1: and the big story that consumed the whole half hour
- 3:57Speaker 1: newscast was the Maduro capture. And of course it's CBS News,
- 4:02Speaker 1: you know the way they write the news there, it's
- 4:03Speaker 1: kind of slanted, implying that this was something that shouldn't happen,
- 4:08Speaker 1: this Maduro capture. But then he said, with us live
- 4:12Speaker 1: now is Secretary of Defense Pete Hegsyth, and then he
- 4:16Speaker 1: put hexithon and let him talk for seven minutes. They
- 4:19Speaker 1: had to do commercial. He said, can you hold on
- 4:21Speaker 1: and come back with us? And then they brought him
- 4:24Speaker 1: back in the next segment for seven minutes, and then
- 4:26Speaker 1: at the end they said we have to go, but
- 4:29Speaker 1: for commercial, can you hang on again? And he hung
- 4:31Speaker 1: on through the second commercial break and was back for
- 4:35Speaker 1: a third segment. Now, this is the major spokesman of
- 4:39Speaker 1: the Trump administration on this matter, the Secretary of Defense.
- 4:43Speaker 1: So this is quite a change for CBS News to
- 4:45Speaker 1: give him airtime and let him give his point of
- 4:49Speaker 1: view and the administration's point of view for about twenty minutes.
- 4:53Speaker 1: You never would have seen that on the old CBS News.
- 4:55Speaker 1: So if this is an indication of change, if this
- 5:00Speaker 1: guy tonight is going to keep doing that. Make it
- 5:03Speaker 1: actually a fair, unbiased newscast. That'll be interesting. See what now,
- 5:08Speaker 1: it could be a formula. It really works. It'll take
- 5:11Speaker 1: a while for word to get around that it's not
- 5:12Speaker 1: so corrupt anymore, but who knows, it may take off
- 5:15Speaker 1: in viewership. And now the other thing is apparently Trump
- 5:20Speaker 1: knew that they're going to clean up the CBS Evening
- 5:22Speaker 1: News because the Maduro raid took place in the middle
- 5:25Speaker 1: of the night and it was secret. Congress nobody got
- 5:31Speaker 1: told about the raid. It was total secrecy when it happened.
- 5:35Speaker 1: But CBS News was given the story first by the administration.
- 5:39Speaker 1: They broke the story before anybody because the administration gave
- 5:42Speaker 1: it to them. That's a pretty big thing for a
- 5:45Speaker 1: news organization to be handed that big story before anybody else.
- 5:49Speaker 1: But the President did it, so apparently he has some
- 5:52Speaker 1: faith in CBS News. Now, the Sunday morning shows, they
- 5:55Speaker 1: went right back to total corruption. They went right back
- 5:59Speaker 1: to putting on people you shouldn't put on. Chuck Schumer
- 6:02Speaker 1: has no business being put on any Sunday morning show.
- 6:05Speaker 1: He's not going to run for reelection. He's totally irrelevant.
- 6:08Speaker 1: He's a sad, tired old Willie Lowman, kind of an
- 6:11Speaker 1: old politician on his way out. But there he was
- 6:14Speaker 1: huffing and puffing on the morning shows.
- 6:16Speaker 3: If they want to do what's good for the American people,
- 6:18Speaker 3: it should not be some escapade in Venezuela. It should
- 6:21Speaker 3: be focusing on lowering the cost of living that Americans
- 6:25Speaker 3: are struggling with every week and tell us it's the
- 6:27Speaker 3: most important issue they face.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Well, actually, he has been lowering the cost every week.
- 6:31Speaker 1: The actual statistics back that up. And an escapade getting
- 6:36Speaker 1: rid of this drug terrorist kingpin Narco. It's not an escapade.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And we do have video. I think it's up on
- 6:44Speaker 1: my Twitter if you want to look at it. For
- 6:46Speaker 1: the last few years, Chuck Schumer has been demanding we
- 6:49Speaker 1: get rid of Maduro. He's been screaming that we have
- 6:51Speaker 1: to get rid of Maduro. The whole thing is comical. Now.
- 6:55Speaker 1: The other thing they tried arguing is this process argument
- 6:58Speaker 1: that because legal, it's totally legal, you can go in
- 7:01Speaker 1: there and seize Maduro. We did it with Noriega, we
- 7:04Speaker 1: did it with in fact, let me see, there's a
- 7:07Speaker 1: whole list here. How many times you know, every president,
- 7:11Speaker 1: every single president has run these sort of operations. You
- 7:14Speaker 1: don't need there's nothing to do with the War Powers Act.
- 7:18Speaker 1: You don't need to get congressional approval. You don't even
- 7:20Speaker 1: need to notify them. You can go through the whole list.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Jimmy Carter Iran nineteen eighty Remember the operation in the
- 7:26Speaker 1: middle of the night landing the helicopters going in to
- 7:29Speaker 1: capture the hostages and get them back. That was Jimmy Carter,
- 7:32Speaker 1: and didn't notify Congress. Ronald Reagan bombing of Tripoli, bombing
- 7:37Speaker 1: of Benghazi, you didn't have to notify Congress. George H. W.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Bush Panama invasion, Iraq airstrikes. You didn't need to get
- 7:48Speaker 1: any approval or notify them. Bill Clinton did it in Bosnia,
- 7:51Speaker 1: he did it in Iraq, he did it in Kosovo.
- 7:54Speaker 1: George W. Bush launched drone strikes at invasions in Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Didn't have to inform Congress. Barack Obama did it in Libya, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Joe Biden did it in Syria, Somalia and Yemen. In
- 8:12Speaker 1: fact are still there with the aster. See, you don't
- 8:15Speaker 1: need to inform anybody. You don't need to deal with
- 8:18Speaker 1: Congress on it. You don't. The War Powers Act was
- 8:20Speaker 1: created in the seventies by a bunch of left wing people,
- 8:23Speaker 1: and basically it says, you can do whatever the hell
- 8:25Speaker 1: you want for ninety days. After ninety days, you're supposed
- 8:28Speaker 1: to inform us. Schumer again, I still have not been briefed.
- 8:31Speaker 4: We've had some contact with the administration in that we've
- 8:34Speaker 4: asked them for the Gang of Eight briefing and the
- 8:36Speaker 4: oil congressmen and all senators briefing, but we've gotten no
- 8:40Speaker 4: information from them.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Who the hell would brief you? Why would any brief you,
- 8:44Speaker 1: who would even talk to you was to look at you.
- 8:47Speaker 1: And it was not an invasion. You know the CBS
- 8:51Speaker 1: and ABC though Sunday Morning shows it's an invasion of Venezuela.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Rubio just fought back.
- 8:56Speaker 5: It wasn't necessary because this is not an invasion. We
- 8:58Speaker 5: didn't occupy a country. This was an arrest operation. This
- 9:01Speaker 5: is a law enforcement operation. He was arrested on the
- 9:04Speaker 5: ground in Venezuela by FBI agents, read his right and
- 9:07Speaker 5: removed from the country.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Yeah, President Trump.
- 9:10Speaker 6: Congress says the tendency to leak this would not be
- 9:14Speaker 6: good if they leaked general, I think it would have
- 9:16Speaker 6: been maybe a very different result.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Yeah, could you imagine briefing? Can you imagine would you
- 9:21Speaker 1: trust Hakim Jeffries. You remember when Pete Hexsath went on
- 9:24Speaker 1: signal and they said this is dangerous discussing an upcoming
- 9:28Speaker 1: military operation on signal. Why somebody could find out what
- 9:32Speaker 1: would be more dangerous putting on signal chat or telling
- 9:35Speaker 1: Hakeem Jeffries about it. But remember, the Democrats have demanded
- 9:39Speaker 1: four years they have demanded. You can go to my
- 9:41Speaker 1: Twitter the videos all up there of all the Democrats
- 9:44Speaker 1: demanding the Trump removed Maduro.
- 9:46Speaker 6: I did have conversations with him, and I said, and.
- 9:49Speaker 1: He also, he didn't just remove me. Gave Maduro many,
- 9:52Speaker 1: many many chances to leave on his own. He gave
- 9:55Speaker 1: him plenty of the exit packages that were quite the
- 9:59Speaker 1: p coffitable for him, but he turned him all down.
- 10:01Speaker 6: I did have conversations with him, and I said, uh,
- 10:05Speaker 6: you got to surrender. And I actually thought he was
- 10:10Speaker 6: pretty close to doing so, but now he wished he did.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Yeah, now here's a couple of things. You know what's interesting.
- 10:17Speaker 1: All the Democrats, of course being just children. They're all
- 10:20Speaker 1: just childish knee jerk. You know, whatever Trump does, they
- 10:23Speaker 1: hate it. They start screaming and whining and pouting. And
- 10:26Speaker 1: they did that all you know who didn't say a
- 10:27Speaker 1: word about this Maduro thing. You know who's not even
- 10:31Speaker 1: mentioned it. Gavin Newsom, who is appears to be the
- 10:37Speaker 1: leading candidate in twenty twenty, and he's kept quiet about it.
- 10:42Speaker 1: He knows to stay out of it. Now he is
- 10:44Speaker 1: going to be the big guest. If you're a left
- 10:46Speaker 1: wing cook, this is a big night for you, because
- 10:49Speaker 1: tonight they're announcing it all day long tonight on Rachel Maddow. Exclusive.
- 10:57Speaker 1: It says right there on the screen right now, it
- 10:59Speaker 1: says coxclusive interview with Gavin Newsom. Exclusive interview with Gavin Newsom.
- 11:06Speaker 1: I can't go five minutes without seeing Gavin Newsom on
- 11:08Speaker 1: a radio show, a podcast, a TV show. He's on
- 11:11Speaker 1: forty thousand shows a day. But this is an exclusive
- 11:15Speaker 1: with Gavin Newsom. Now let's see if she asked him
- 11:18Speaker 1: about Maduro and he's forced to comment about it. Now,
- 11:21Speaker 1: here's the problem. Tim Waltz is, as Howie Carr said,
- 11:24Speaker 1: sleeping with the fishes. Tim Waltz is dead politically. He's
- 11:28Speaker 1: gone he will not seek reelection. He announced that an
- 11:32Speaker 1: hour ago. He will not seek reelection. He can't run
- 11:35Speaker 1: for reelection. His political career is over because of the
- 11:38Speaker 1: Somalia fraud, which is massive. Everybody says Gavin Newsom has
- 11:45Speaker 1: the same problem about to explode in California, and if
- 11:48Speaker 1: that's the case, he'll suffer the same fate that Tim
- 11:51Speaker 1: Waltz suffered. He will not be able to run and
- 11:56Speaker 1: that'll be the end of him. So this is going
- 11:57Speaker 1: to be interesting to keep an eye on. Now when
- 12:00Speaker 1: it comes to Venezuela. The only scary part when the
- 12:05Speaker 1: Trump adminstration says, well, we'll run of Venezuela, and everybody's,
- 12:09Speaker 1: oh my god, this is a rack all over again.
- 12:12Speaker 1: This is a raq. We're gonna get bobbed. Now. There's
- 12:15Speaker 1: a lot of differences here, many differences. First of all,
- 12:18Speaker 1: it's not a rack. This country does not resemble a rack.
- 12:21Speaker 1: When we took over Iraq, we had destroyed every inch
- 12:24Speaker 1: of government. There was nothing there. In the case of Venezuela,
- 12:27Speaker 1: the government is still fully functioning. Government still exists. We
- 12:31Speaker 1: just took out one guy, We did not touch the government.
- 12:33Speaker 1: It's still there, still functioning. The other difference is a
- 12:37Speaker 1: raq the chaos came from the warring factions, the different tribes,
- 12:42Speaker 1: the different groups all fighting with each other the civil war.
- 12:48Speaker 1: This is not the case in Venezuela. There's only one
- 12:50Speaker 1: group of people. There aren't different tribes. There's unity in
- 12:54Speaker 1: the population. That's the other job.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Now.
- 12:56Speaker 1: The other difference is people in Iraq, believe it or not,
- 12:58Speaker 1: they loved Sadam Hussein. People in Venezuela hated Maduro. They're
- 13:02Speaker 1: all thrilled that he's gone. The other difference is in Iraq,
- 13:06Speaker 1: we were there on the ground occupying the country. There's
- 13:09Speaker 1: no such thing. In Venezuela. We are not there. We
- 13:13Speaker 1: don't have a single soldier on the ground there. We're
- 13:15Speaker 1: doing it from offshore on lots of ships. We got
- 13:18Speaker 1: lots of planes, drones, missiles. Also that we can do
- 13:21Speaker 1: whatever we need to from there. Who were not on
- 13:24Speaker 1: the ground, you remember, they always all we can. They're
- 13:26Speaker 1: bringing up the pottery barn rule. That was Colin Powell
- 13:30Speaker 1: that started that. When we went into Iraq, you know,
- 13:33Speaker 1: or we invaded. He always said, you got to remember
- 13:36Speaker 1: the pottery barn rule. You break it, you own it.
- 13:41Speaker 1: If you break it, you own it. He kept talking
- 13:43Speaker 1: about this pottery barn rule. It was all a myth.
- 13:47Speaker 1: He just made that up. There's no such thing. You know,
- 13:49Speaker 1: if you go into pottery barn today and accidentally break something,
- 13:53Speaker 1: you don't have to buy it. There's no pottery barn
- 13:56Speaker 1: rule that if you break something in the store you
- 13:58Speaker 1: own it. The rules fall It never ever ever existed. Hey,
- 14:03Speaker 1: the Giant season is over. The Jets season is over.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Thank god. Now. I don't know how I got swept
- 14:09Speaker 1: up in this, but everybody kept talking about the Bills
- 14:11Speaker 1: Jets game yesterday, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills. Bruce Blakeman.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Who should be the next governor. He's the best choice
- 14:18Speaker 1: for governor, Bruce Blakeman. I'm watching his Instagram. He's I'm
- 14:22Speaker 1: flying up to Buffalo. I didn't realize he's such a
- 14:23Speaker 1: big Buffalo fan, has been for years. In fact, he
- 14:27Speaker 1: was wearing this Buffalo T shirt that his sun bought
- 14:29Speaker 1: him years ago. He was such a Buffalo fan. But
- 14:32Speaker 1: he flew up there for the game, and all these
- 14:34Speaker 1: people are talking about the Buffalo Bills and the New
- 14:36Speaker 1: York Jets big game. Yes, I'm all hyped up. I
- 14:39Speaker 1: can't wait to watch as well. I got home late.
- 14:41Speaker 1: I had to miss the first half of the game,
- 14:45Speaker 1: so I put it on quickly. Oh, I want to
- 14:46Speaker 1: watch this game. I forgot it's the Jets. What the
- 14:49Speaker 1: hell am I rushing home for? Soon as I put
- 14:51Speaker 1: it on in the middle of the game, it's like thirty
- 14:53Speaker 1: eight nothing, Buffalo Bills are a head. It's the Jets.
- 14:56Speaker 1: They're not gonna what game? There was nothing competitive think
- 15:00Speaker 1: by the end, I think the Jets got one touchdown.
- 15:02Speaker 1: It was like seventy five to two or something. This
- 15:04Speaker 1: game the Jets the worst team in the world. Woody
- 15:09Speaker 1: Johnson is a wonderful guy. He's a great guy. I
- 15:12Speaker 1: know him. I love Woody Johnson. Worst owner in the
- 15:15Speaker 1: history of sports, single worst owner ever in the history
- 15:21Speaker 1: of sports. I've never seen anybody so bad at running anything.
- 15:26Speaker 1: It's Woody Johnson and the Jets. It's just horrible. And
- 15:31Speaker 1: there are plenty of people saying a mechanism needs to
- 15:34Speaker 1: be created in the NFL to take a team away
- 15:37Speaker 1: from an owner if he's ever this bad, and taking
- 15:40Speaker 1: away would mean force him to sell, which is fine.
- 15:43Speaker 1: You know, he paid six hundred million for the team.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It's now worth like nine billions. So if he took
- 15:49Speaker 1: it away and made him sell it, great, he'd make
- 15:51Speaker 1: a great profit, be better for everybody. And then the
- 15:54Speaker 1: Giants they're a little better. They didn't have a good season.
- 15:58Speaker 1: What were they four and eleven and four and thirty
- 16:00Speaker 1: or something like that, but they won the last couple
- 16:03Speaker 1: of games. Big mistake. They should have lost them deliberately,
- 16:06Speaker 1: because now you would have had a first choice in
- 16:08Speaker 1: the draft. Now you get like fourth choice in the draft.
- 16:11Speaker 1: So anyway, we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three
- 16:14Speaker 1: to two one zero seven ten is the number eight
- 16:18Speaker 1: hundred three to two to one zero seven ten.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Marximoni's back on seventen.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Wor Well, so the left wing going nuts anything Trump does.
- 16:30Speaker 1: They're like little children. They just yell and scream and
- 16:32Speaker 1: whine and pout whatever he does. Let's say he had
- 16:35Speaker 1: a crime problem. It was out of control, and he
- 16:37Speaker 1: offered to send in troops to help police the streets
- 16:40Speaker 1: help clean up the crime. Well, they get mad and
- 16:43Speaker 1: scream and yell and pout and throw things. They go
- 16:46Speaker 1: to court and they get a left wing judge to
- 16:48Speaker 1: ban the National Guard from coming in, and then they cheer.
- 16:53Speaker 1: They cheer that they're gonna have less security. Now, once
- 16:56Speaker 1: in a while, you got a left wing guy who's
- 16:57Speaker 1: like sane rational for a moment or two. A Bill
- 17:00Speaker 1: Maher or Dave Chappelle. Dave Chappelle, you know, all the
- 17:05Speaker 1: left wings screaming and crying and yelling and pouting that
- 17:08Speaker 1: the National Guard came into Washington, d C. But listen
- 17:12Speaker 1: to Dave Chappelle went to Washington, d C. He's been
- 17:17Speaker 1: going there for years, but he went back. Now, the
- 17:19Speaker 1: Trump said in the National Guard. And what did Chappelle say?
- 17:22Speaker 7: And I came here mad, ready to fight. But when
- 17:24Speaker 7: I drove to the city, they look clean.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Guys.
- 17:27Speaker 7: I gotta tell you. I gotta tell you look clean.
- 17:35Speaker 7: Life better than the last time I was here.
- 17:38Speaker 1: They left wing crowd going nuts. Let's go to doctor
- 17:42Speaker 1: Bob in Long Island. Doctor Bob, how you doing.
- 17:45Speaker 8: I'm good, Mark, welcome back. You were dearly missed. I'll
- 17:48Speaker 8: say that two things. Number One, I think that we
- 17:52Speaker 8: have our we have instead of Dommy being the mayor,
- 17:57Speaker 8: he really is the first Nightmare of New York. That
- 18:01Speaker 8: should be his official title. Number Two, my take on
- 18:04Speaker 8: CBS News that new anchor was a little bit different
- 18:09Speaker 8: because he was kind of tough on Peter Hegsa and
- 18:14Speaker 8: his intonations were not that friendly.
- 18:18Speaker 1: But also the yeah, I think you missed the point.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Of course, of course they always they always do that.
- 18:23Speaker 1: But he gave him three full segments. He left them
- 18:26Speaker 1: on the air for twenty minutes to talk. That's never
- 18:29Speaker 1: been done. That's a big, big, big, big, big change
- 18:31Speaker 1: for CBS News. Normally just beat up the guests for
- 18:34Speaker 1: twelve seconds and throw them off. They gave Hegsa three
- 18:37Speaker 1: full segments to answer. Let's go to Alan yonkers Al.
- 18:41Speaker 9: How you doing, Hey, Mark, Good health to you in
- 18:45Speaker 9: the new year.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I wish you the best.
- 18:47Speaker 4: You know, Mark, I just wanted to say, back in
- 18:49Speaker 4: the summer of seventy seven, I lived right near David Berkle,
- 18:53Speaker 4: which the son Sam, and I've always been interested in
- 18:56Speaker 4: true crime, had a lot of members of my family
- 18:59Speaker 4: who were retired.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Law enforcement officers, and the point.
- 19:02Speaker 4: But I just wanted to Yeah, I just want to say,
- 19:04Speaker 4: it looks like they've finally identified who the Zodiac killer was,
- 19:09Speaker 4: who terrorized the San Francisco It looks pretty accurate.
- 19:13Speaker 9: Did you see that?
- 19:15Speaker 1: Well, actually no, well look into it, but no, I
- 19:19Speaker 1: was on vacation. I have not been following the Zodiac Killer,
- 19:23Speaker 1: but it's fascinating these cold cases that they solve a
- 19:27Speaker 1: million years later. Let's go to lou In Queen's lou
- 19:30Speaker 1: How you doing.
- 19:32Speaker 9: Hi, Mark, Welcome back, By the way, I had a
- 19:34Speaker 9: lot of lass. Listener Chris van Hollen, the Senator from
- 19:37Speaker 9: Maryland going no war for oil? Does he realize that
- 19:41Speaker 9: oil is under fifty nine bucks a barrel? Which brings
- 19:44Speaker 9: it back to January twenty twenty. And the other thing
- 19:49Speaker 9: is you broke my heart? Timothy Wolf not running for
- 19:53Speaker 9: the president. Where are the last gonna come from?
- 19:57Speaker 1: Oh, don't worry, these are democrats. They'll find somebody. Just
- 20:00Speaker 1: it's as dumb as Tim Waltz. They'll find somebody even dumber.
- 20:04Speaker 9: You know.
- 20:04Speaker 1: The problem was, you have to when you pick a
- 20:06Speaker 1: vice president, pick somebody worse than you, somebody dumber than you.
- 20:10Speaker 1: That's one of the reasons Obama picked Joe Biden. You
- 20:13Speaker 1: don't want a guy that's smarter than you, that looks
- 20:16Speaker 1: better than you, sounds better, and shows you up. That's
- 20:19Speaker 1: why Biden picked Kamala Harris. Now the problem is when
- 20:24Speaker 1: Kamala Harris announced she was going to run. A lot
- 20:26Speaker 1: of political insiders said, where's she gonna find somebody dumber
- 20:31Speaker 1: than her? That's not going to be easy. Well, they
- 20:34Speaker 1: go meet with Joshapiro. He's got an iq A like
- 20:36Speaker 1: one fifty. He's talking a mile a minute. So that
- 20:38Speaker 1: was the end of him. Then they find Tim Waltz.
- 20:41Speaker 1: They couldn't believe it. They found that guy dumber than her.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Now the problem is if he runs, if he can't now,
- 20:49Speaker 1: but if he was gonna run, who the hell could
- 20:51Speaker 1: he find dumber than him? That would I mean, you know,
- 20:56Speaker 1: you have to go like the zoo to find somebody.
- 20:58Speaker 1: But Waltz has finished. His career is over. He announced
- 21:01Speaker 1: he will not seek reelection. That's the end to him.
- 21:05Speaker 1: You will not see him in politics anymore. I think
- 21:07Speaker 1: you'll see him try to start some sort of a
- 21:09Speaker 1: TV career. I'm sure he'll do a lot of MSNBC. Hey,
- 21:12Speaker 1: by the way, this Marjorie Taylor Green, who always looked
- 21:15Speaker 1: nuts you know, she always looked nutty, has been attacking
- 21:18Speaker 1: Trump left and right. Well it's paying off. He's getting
- 21:22Speaker 1: the start of a TV career. Now. You know, if
- 21:25Speaker 1: she's willing to attack Trump and call him names, and
- 21:28Speaker 1: they'll put her on anywhere. She was on Meet the Press.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Can you Meet the Press? Spent the last few years
- 21:34Speaker 1: telling you that Marjorie Taylor Green is a complete idiot
- 21:37Speaker 1: to a totally useless mora. Now they put her on
- 21:40Speaker 1: like she's a great spokesperson, a brilliant guest. They shower
- 21:44Speaker 1: with praise, so you're going to see more of her.
- 21:47Speaker 1: It's a great occupation, just trump bashing. You can actually
- 21:50Speaker 1: find work in television doing it. Hey, when we come back,
- 21:55Speaker 1: a conversation with Rob Reiner. I've been gone for the
- 21:58Speaker 1: last couple of weeks, but I did go through some
- 22:01Speaker 1: old shows. He's been a regular guest on this show
- 22:04Speaker 1: for years. He was a friend of mine. I love
- 22:06Speaker 1: the guy, Rob Reiner. I mean he's completely insane politically,
- 22:10Speaker 1: completely nuts childish as when it comes to politics. But
- 22:14Speaker 1: aside from that, he was a brilliant director, producer and
- 22:19Speaker 1: a great I used to just he's like me, just
- 22:21Speaker 1: studies old show business and all the great old comedians
- 22:24Speaker 1: and shows, and that's mostly what we would talk about.
- 22:26Speaker 1: But when we come back, a conversation with Rob Brian,
- 22:29Speaker 1: if you want to hear the real hymn you'll hear
- 22:31Speaker 1: it next on seven to ten wr in Mark on
- 22:36Speaker 1: Demand by setting a preset for his podcast on the
- 22:39Speaker 1: iHeartRadio app.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Now back to Mark Simone on War.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Well, the terrible, tragic Rob Reiner situation. So it happened
- 22:52Speaker 1: while I was on when it happened that week, so
- 22:54Speaker 1: I guess that's three weeks ago, this horrible situation. But
- 22:58Speaker 1: Rob Reiner in real life a great guy. Now, a
- 23:01Speaker 1: lot of these people that are completely nuts when it
- 23:04Speaker 1: comes to politics, I mean raving lunatics, and Rob Reiner
- 23:09Speaker 1: became one of them. They just it's like in your
- 23:12Speaker 1: own family, you know, when you get together for Thanksgiving,
- 23:14Speaker 1: a Christmas, the whole family gets together, and you got
- 23:16Speaker 1: an uncle or a cousin or somebody who's a crazy
- 23:20Speaker 1: left wing and you get into these fights with them.
- 23:22Speaker 1: But aside from that, they're normal, nice people that you
- 23:26Speaker 1: like a lot. But when it comes to politics, they're crazy.
- 23:29Speaker 1: They're just childish, just nuts, the over the top crazy
- 23:34Speaker 1: when it comes to politics. So Rob Reiner used to
- 23:36Speaker 1: be a regular guest on the show. We lost a
- 23:38Speaker 1: lot of regular guests when Trump came along. We don't
- 23:43Speaker 1: need to mention all the names, but there were a
- 23:44Speaker 1: lot of people that were regular guests on this show,
- 23:48Speaker 1: but that kind of stopped in twenty sixteen Donald Trump
- 23:52Speaker 1: took over. That was the end of those. A lot
- 23:54Speaker 1: of them we just couldn't put on anymore, or they
- 23:58Speaker 1: got so mad at us that they would come on,
- 24:00Speaker 1: and so that was the end of that. But Rob Reiner,
- 24:04Speaker 1: I just want you to hear this interview. This I
- 24:05Speaker 1: just went back and found an interview from a few
- 24:08Speaker 1: years ago, just right before Trump. But a good guy
- 24:11Speaker 1: in real life, and again, take away the politics. He
- 24:14Speaker 1: was a normal, nice guy. He was a brilliant director, writer, producer, actor.
- 24:20Speaker 1: So here is a conversation with Rob Reiner. Well with
- 24:23Speaker 1: us right now is what a talented guy, what a
- 24:25Speaker 1: career he's had. I'd call him a legend, but he's
- 24:29Speaker 1: way too young for that. But what a brilliant director,
- 24:32Speaker 1: a writer, performer. Rob Reiner is with us and it's
- 24:35Speaker 1: great to have him on the show. Rob Reiner, how
- 24:37Speaker 1: are you hi?
- 24:38Speaker 2: Mark, Thank you very much, and thank you for calling
- 24:40Speaker 2: me too young.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Well, you know you're one of those guys. Years from now,
- 24:44Speaker 1: when you're an old guy, you're going to be the
- 24:46Speaker 1: living legend. They're going to be doing these tributes to you,
- 24:49Speaker 1: and well you know what I mean.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Well I'm in my sixties, so I consider myself
- 24:54Speaker 2: a very very young old person.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Yeah, but years ago, sixty was an old guy. Today
- 24:59Speaker 1: it's nothing.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Oh I love I love hearing that.
- 25:02Speaker 1: So or it's either Rob Ryner. The new movie is
- 25:05Speaker 1: called Flipped. There's no better subject ever than that first love.
- 25:10Speaker 1: And you obviously when you made this, so somebody was
- 25:13Speaker 1: in your mind, some some first love of yours.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Well it was I mean when I when I was
- 25:17Speaker 2: twelve going on thirteen, it was Kathy shrill.
- 25:19Speaker 9: Oh.
- 25:20Speaker 2: And she she was adorable. She looked like Hayley Mills
- 25:23Speaker 2: and the old parent trap.
- 25:25Speaker 7: You know.
- 25:25Speaker 2: She had the blonde, curly hair, kind of a tomboy.
- 25:28Speaker 2: And we exchanged id bracelets. And I remember when I
- 25:31Speaker 2: went to first kiss her, she hit me with a
- 25:34Speaker 2: hair brush. And see that's that's when I knew it
- 25:36Speaker 2: was true love, because I was willing to endure pain
- 25:39Speaker 2: in order to get a kiss.
- 25:40Speaker 1: You ever go in like Facebook to see what where
- 25:42Speaker 1: Kathy Shrillo is today.
- 25:43Speaker 2: No, I haven't done it, you know, but I do
- 25:45Speaker 2: pass by her house every once in a while. It's
- 25:48Speaker 2: about two blocks from where I work now, and it's
- 25:51Speaker 2: actually just to remember that time when I was in love,
- 25:55Speaker 2: and you never forget that. You never forget your first love.
- 25:57Speaker 1: So you're not curious to see if she now looks
- 25:59Speaker 1: like Madeline allbre something there.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Oh my god, you know, don't do that to me.
- 26:04Speaker 1: You know, no kid wants to learn anything in school,
- 26:06Speaker 1: but the one thing we all wanted to learn was
- 26:08Speaker 1: how to talk to a girl. And it's one thing
- 26:10Speaker 1: no one ever could.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Teach you, I know, I mean I think that, you know,
- 26:13Speaker 2: to this day. You know, even as adults, men are
- 26:17Speaker 2: just totally clueless when it comes. I mean, we spend
- 26:19Speaker 2: our entire lives trying to figure out, you know, what
- 26:23Speaker 2: we should be doing with women, and hopefully they're trying
- 26:25Speaker 2: to figure out what to do with us, because you know,
- 26:27Speaker 2: it just doesn't get any easier. I don't think.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it's tough, you know, like even a guy
- 26:31Speaker 1: like you in Hollywood it must have been tough as
- 26:33Speaker 1: the young guy. And then even if you get to
- 26:35Speaker 1: all in the family year though the biggest stars in
- 26:36Speaker 1: the world, it was no easier to approach a woman.
- 26:39Speaker 2: It never is. It never is, and I you know,
- 26:41Speaker 2: I keep making the same film over and over again,
- 26:44Speaker 2: trying to figure it out. I mean, essentially, the girl
- 26:47Speaker 2: is always so much more mature, She has much more
- 26:50Speaker 2: of a sense of herself and very settled with her.
- 26:53Speaker 2: And the boy is always running around like an idiot
- 26:54Speaker 2: trying to figure out what's going on, and he's usually dragged,
- 26:57Speaker 2: kicking and screaming into maturity by the girl.
- 27:01Speaker 1: So and Rob Reyner look at these films. If you
- 27:03Speaker 1: if you had just made any one of these, you'd
- 27:05Speaker 1: be your legend. But from a few good men to
- 27:07Speaker 1: Misery to when Harry met Sally and stand by me, now, Misery,
- 27:10Speaker 1: what were you? What were you reflecting on there?
- 27:13Speaker 2: Well that you know, oddly enough, it sounds weird for
- 27:16Speaker 2: me to be making a film like that. But at
- 27:18Speaker 2: the time, you know, I, when I became a director,
- 27:21Speaker 2: I the people from television just were not thought of
- 27:25Speaker 2: as being movie people. We were looked down upon like
- 27:28Speaker 2: second class citizens and you know, the lesser of you know,
- 27:31Speaker 2: the lesser show business people. And so it was hard
- 27:34Speaker 2: for me to make the transition to become a director.
- 27:36Speaker 2: And I related to the guy in the in the
- 27:38Speaker 2: movie who was a success doing one kind of thing,
- 27:41Speaker 2: who wanted to do something else and was being held
- 27:44Speaker 2: down by these fans that wanted to keep them trapped
- 27:46Speaker 2: in that one, you know, one area. So I kind
- 27:49Speaker 2: of related to that character.
- 27:51Speaker 1: I got to be honest. There are scenes in Misery
- 27:53Speaker 1: I cannot watch certain moments.
- 27:55Speaker 2: I can't look at you and you have a problem
- 27:56Speaker 2: with that ankle break, I can't what would you? Are
- 28:00Speaker 2: you a w yes?
- 28:02Speaker 1: How did you look at it? Take after it takes?
- 28:04Speaker 9: Oh?
- 28:04Speaker 2: No, well, you know, I mean wow, because I know
- 28:06Speaker 2: what went into it. I know we didn't actually break
- 28:09Speaker 2: his ankle, so I but it is. It is pretty gruesome,
- 28:12Speaker 2: and most people have When we first screened it, people
- 28:16Speaker 2: were just whoa, they wouldn't feel crazy.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Rob Bryan are one of the great directors in the world.
- 28:21Speaker 1: What's tougher to direct a guy like Jack Nicholson or
- 28:24Speaker 1: one of these kids in the movie?
- 28:26Speaker 2: You know, Jack's gonna kill me Jack? No, they're both.
- 28:31Speaker 2: They're all professionals. I mean, oddly enough, these two kids
- 28:35Speaker 2: were as developed as any adult I've ever worked with.
- 28:39Speaker 2: So you know, when I did stand by Me, it
- 28:42Speaker 2: was it was tougher because the kids were not as experienced,
- 28:45Speaker 2: and some of them hadn't never acted before, but in
- 28:47Speaker 2: this case, the kids were Their craft was as developed
- 28:50Speaker 2: as any adult I've worked with. So I would say
- 28:53Speaker 2: even even between Jack Nicholson and the kids.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Wow. But so you've got such a track record of
- 28:59Speaker 1: the guys like you, very few, but guys like you
- 29:01Speaker 1: who everything they pick, every project, it's brilliant, it's great,
- 29:04Speaker 1: it's this. And then you get other guys who even
- 29:06Speaker 1: top stars, who one movie's great and one movie is
- 29:09Speaker 1: just ridiculous. You wonder what made them even do it?
- 29:12Speaker 1: What does that all come from?
- 29:13Speaker 2: You know, it's just instinct. You have an indut Listen.
- 29:15Speaker 2: I've had some flops too, you know, everybody does. You know,
- 29:19Speaker 2: it's just an instinct. You go with what you think
- 29:22Speaker 2: you like and hopefully the audience likes it. And you know,
- 29:25Speaker 2: I've been lucky more often than not that the audience
- 29:28Speaker 2: did like what I liked.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Now we're talking with Rob Reiner. Let me ask you
- 29:31Speaker 1: all in the family question. We were arguing about this before.
- 29:34Speaker 1: It was a revolutionary breakthrough. Show is brilliant, But what
- 29:37Speaker 1: we were saying was you couldn't do that show today.
- 29:40Speaker 1: You would never get it on the air.
- 29:42Speaker 2: No, No, we're living in two PC a world for
- 29:44Speaker 2: that for that to happen. And I think also attitudes
- 29:47Speaker 2: have changed. I mean it's not to say we couldn't
- 29:49Speaker 2: have a show where there was the issues of the
- 29:52Speaker 2: day debated. You know, we are living in a very
- 29:54Speaker 2: divided country, you know, red state, blue state and all that.
- 29:58Speaker 2: But I think the argument would not be there would
- 30:01Speaker 2: be a little bit more PC. I mean, the racism
- 30:03Speaker 2: has not completely gone away, but obviously we have elected
- 30:06Speaker 2: a black president and so things have changed dramatically since
- 30:11Speaker 2: the early seventies, but they raised, you know, the arguments
- 30:15Speaker 2: would be much more muted. I think.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Yeah. And even if normally were trying to use Archie
- 30:19Speaker 1: Bunker to expose what was wrong today, you'd have sponsored
- 30:22Speaker 1: boycots you have everything.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, no, you couldn't. You couldn't have that
- 30:25Speaker 2: kind of And people don't really talk like that now.
- 30:27Speaker 2: I mean it's changed a lot. I mean people may
- 30:30Speaker 2: still feel those things, but they are at least smart.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Unless you're law as Lessenger, then you don't know that
- 30:37Speaker 2: you shouldn't talk like that.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Who's that doctor Laura?
- 30:40Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 30:40Speaker 1: Don't you remember I know her last name? Yeah, doctor Laura?
- 30:44Speaker 2: Yea Yeah, No, she pulled the N word out of
- 30:47Speaker 2: the hat there and basically joined the long line of
- 30:50Speaker 2: people who have destroyed their careers.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Yeah, she seemed like a combination Archie and Edith Bunker
- 30:55Speaker 1: all at once.
- 30:56Speaker 2: There you go.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Hit makes you one with because you were talking about
- 30:59Speaker 1: your judgment you're great at. So this this company you formed,
- 31:02Speaker 1: castle Rock. Yeah, every time we see something brilliant, even Seinfeld,
- 31:05Speaker 1: there's that name castle Rock at the end of it.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Yeah. We named it actually after the town in stand
- 31:10Speaker 2: By Me, which was Stephen King's creation. You know. It
- 31:14Speaker 2: was the stand by Me was taken from a Stephen
- 31:16Speaker 2: King novella called The Body, And so I loved making
- 31:20Speaker 2: that movie. It meant so much to me, like Flipped,
- 31:23Speaker 2: and they're very similar in that way. And so we
- 31:25Speaker 2: named our company that. And we've been around the twenty
- 31:28Speaker 2: three years now. We've made like over one hundred movies.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Wow, and you're in part responsible for Seinfeld.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Yes, that was our That was our TV show that
- 31:38Speaker 2: we that we produced, and we you know, we're very
- 31:40Speaker 2: proud of a lot of the films. I mean, we
- 31:42Speaker 2: had Shoushank Redemption, which was one of our favorite films
- 31:45Speaker 2: that we've done, and it's been, you know, on all
- 31:47Speaker 2: these top ten lists, and so we've done. We're very
- 31:50Speaker 2: happy with what we've done.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Wow, amazing career. And I guess it runs in the
- 31:55Speaker 1: family too, because normally when there's a great a guy
- 31:57Speaker 1: like your father, the son's never quite as good. But
- 31:59Speaker 1: in this case, yeah, you know.
- 32:01Speaker 2: It's funny that you mentioned that, because I've had this
- 32:03Speaker 2: conversation with Michael Douglas. You know, on a number of occasions,
- 32:06Speaker 2: if very few, you can count them on one hand
- 32:08Speaker 2: of the children of very successful people in show business
- 32:13Speaker 2: who you know, achieved at at a very high level,
- 32:16Speaker 2: whose children have survived and done well. I mean it's
- 32:20Speaker 2: a small small list.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean usually it's more, I hit to say
- 32:23Speaker 1: it like a Frank Sinudther junior kind of deal. And
- 32:26Speaker 1: so you must have worried about that, the comparison I did.
- 32:29Speaker 2: I mean, you know, it's it's a tough road to hoe.
- 32:31Speaker 2: And but my dad tells this story all the time,
- 32:34Speaker 2: and I don't remember it, but he tells it. When
- 32:36Speaker 2: I was eight years old, apparently I went up to
- 32:38Speaker 2: him and you know, I said, Dad, I want to
- 32:41Speaker 2: change my name, and he got all worried. He thought
- 32:44Speaker 2: Oh my god. This poor kid is worried about having
- 32:46Speaker 2: to live up to the you know, to Carl Reiner
- 32:49Speaker 2: and all this stuff. And so he said, well, what
- 32:51Speaker 2: do you want to change your name to? And I said,
- 32:53Speaker 2: Carl Basically, I love being a Yaner and I just
- 32:58Speaker 2: wanted to be like him, you know, I just I
- 33:00Speaker 2: loved him so much, and I looked up to him
- 33:02Speaker 2: so much. I just wanted to be him.
- 33:04Speaker 1: So now you have to have a child that's going
- 33:05Speaker 1: to take over the family business.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. And I have three kids, and
- 33:09Speaker 2: you know, I don't know what they're gonna do. But
- 33:11Speaker 2: whatever they choose, and as long as they're happy in
- 33:13Speaker 2: doing what they like, I'm I'm happy.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Wow. Well, Rob Reiner, congratulations on an absolutely amazing career
- 33:19Speaker 1: and keep up all the good work.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Thank you so much for having me Mark.
- 33:23Speaker 1: All right, take care? Okay, byeye, Well, Rob Reyner a
- 33:27Speaker 1: couple of years ago, do you hear that part at
- 33:28Speaker 1: the end, we're talking about his kids. So he said,
- 33:30Speaker 1: I have three kids. I don't know what they're gonna do. WHOA.
- 33:36Speaker 1: So anyway, the son, Nick Reiner in custody, he'll go
- 33:41Speaker 1: to trial. They've both sides have asked to delay it.
- 33:45Speaker 1: So normally be happening this week, it's going to be
- 33:47Speaker 1: towards the end of the month they'll start. Nobody knows
- 33:51Speaker 1: what the son will plead. Could be not guilty, could
- 33:56Speaker 1: be insanity. You know, these drugs they put kids on
- 34:00Speaker 1: that have all kinds of mental troubles the side effects,
- 34:04Speaker 1: and it says right in the side effects these psychotropic drugs,
- 34:07Speaker 1: it says could cause homicidal behavior, suicidal behavior, could cause
- 34:13Speaker 1: all kinds of stuff like that. So they may go
- 34:15Speaker 1: after that use that as the defense that it was
- 34:17Speaker 1: the drugs that did this to them. But we'll see.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Today's the anniversary one year anniversary of congestion pricing. You know,
- 34:28Speaker 1: the Democrats yell and scream about affordability, then they hit
- 34:31Speaker 1: you with congestion pricing, which affects a lot of people working.
- 34:34Speaker 1: People the drive trucks or cabs or stuff like that,
- 34:38Speaker 1: or need to commute in the middle of the night
- 34:41Speaker 1: or something like that. So a year anniversary and today
- 34:45Speaker 1: the MTA tolls go up. Fair hike MTA fair hike
- 34:49Speaker 1: begins today. So this is of course typical you know,
- 34:54Speaker 1: democratic left wing socialist definitely, you know totally hypocritical, yelling
- 35:01Speaker 1: about afford to building and then raising the price on everything. Now,
- 35:04Speaker 1: where's Mum Donnie on this? Why is he g gotten rid
- 35:06Speaker 1: of the congestion pricing? Why is he speaking of about
- 35:09Speaker 1: this toll increase which affects everybody? You know, the MTA
- 35:13Speaker 1: raising the tolls. It doesn't affect a lot of billionaires.
- 35:16Speaker 1: It really doesn't bother them at all. It's people that
- 35:18Speaker 1: are working hard or struggling, that's who suffers from this.
- 35:23Speaker 1: But not a word from Mom Donnie about it. His
- 35:26Speaker 1: inauguration a mess. Hey Curtis was there at the inauguration.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Chuck Schumer was there, but left in the middle. Typical
- 35:36Speaker 1: rude Chuck Schumer just left right in the middle. Mandy
- 35:39Speaker 1: Patinkin performed there. If you love Mandy Patinkin, think twice
- 35:45Speaker 1: about it. Nobody worked harder to get Mum Donnie elected
- 35:48Speaker 1: than this lunatic Mandy Patinkin. Anyway, we got a lot
- 35:51Speaker 1: to well, we'll wrap it up in a moment. Buck
- 35:53Speaker 1: and Clay are back. They'll be here today and Sean
- 35:56Speaker 1: Hannity back at three, Jimmy Fayla back to night coming
- 36:00Speaker 1: up on seven to ten. Wor you're ahead of the
- 36:04Speaker 1: game just for being here, he s marks alone on
- 36:07Speaker 1: seven ten WR Well, we're out of time. Not bad
- 36:17Speaker 1: first show back. I think I got the hang of it.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I think will be okay for the rest of the week. Anyway,
- 36:22Speaker 1: we thank Curtis for filling in for a couple of weeks.
- 36:26Speaker 1: It's that, you know, everybody was gone for two weeks,
- 36:28Speaker 1: all the hosts radio television, everybody vanished for two weeks.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Everybody should be back today. Buck and Clay do a
- 36:35Speaker 1: great show. They'll be coming up next. I think they're
- 36:37Speaker 1: both back today. Then the most listened to radio show
- 36:41Speaker 1: in America Sean Hannity three o'clock. He'll be back, and
- 36:44Speaker 1: Jesse Kelly at six and Jimmy Faylor will be back.
- 36:47Speaker 1: That's you should listen to that every night. It's a
- 36:48Speaker 1: great show nine to midnight. And I'm here ten to
