- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Mackie, and it's time for us to
- 0:03Speaker 1: go to God in prayer, and as always I ask
- 0:08Speaker 1: that you join along with me in prayer. You know,
- 0:11Speaker 1: I think about our men, and my heart gets heavy
- 0:14Speaker 1: sometimes because I think about how men have to be
- 0:17Speaker 1: strong or feel like they do because they're always taught
- 0:22Speaker 1: you can't cry. Men aren't supposed to cry, Men aren't
- 0:25Speaker 1: supposed to show emotion. Men basically are supposed to be
- 0:29Speaker 1: these super heroes. But God didn't design it that way.
- 0:34Speaker 1: So today I want to pray for my brothers, Heavenly Father,
- 0:38Speaker 1: in the name of Jesus. Today we lift up every man,
- 0:44Speaker 1: our sons, our brothers, our fathers, our husbands, our leaders,
- 0:49Speaker 1: men who carry so much and often say so little Lord.
- 0:53Speaker 1: You see the tears they never cry out loud. You
- 0:57Speaker 1: see the burdens they push down so no one else
- 1:00Speaker 1: has to feel them. You see the pressure they stand
- 1:03Speaker 1: under day after day. And God, you care. Father. We
- 1:08Speaker 1: pray for the man who feels like he has to
- 1:11Speaker 1: be strong for everybody else, but has no place to
- 1:15Speaker 1: lay his own head. The man who feels like he
- 1:19Speaker 1: cannot break, cannot be, and cannot fall apart. The man
- 1:22Speaker 1: who has been told to man up, and in doing so,
- 1:27Speaker 1: has learned to hide his pain. Lord, surround him right
- 1:31Speaker 1: now with your love and your presence. God, you see
- 1:36Speaker 1: what breaks his heart. The pressures to provide, the fear
- 1:41Speaker 1: of failing his family, the weight of responsibility, the disappointments
- 1:46Speaker 1: of dreams delayed, the wolds from his childhood that he
- 1:50Speaker 1: never healed, from the fear of not being enough, The
- 1:55Speaker 1: silent battles with depression, anxiety, and just exhaustion. And Lord,
- 2:01Speaker 1: you see the heartbreak of relationships and betrayal or feeling invisible.
- 2:07Speaker 1: And Lord, you also see what he holds inside. The
- 2:11Speaker 1: anger he cannot express, the tears he refuses to let fall,
- 2:16Speaker 1: the shame he cannot speak, the questions he is afraid
- 2:20Speaker 1: to ask, and the vulnerability he doesn't feel safe to share,
- 2:25Speaker 1: the need for love, affirmation and validation, The desire to
- 2:29Speaker 1: be strong, but also to rest, the hope that things
- 2:35Speaker 1: will someday get better. Father, step into those deep, quiet places,
- 2:41Speaker 1: Touch the wounds where he's learned to ignore, heal the
- 2:45Speaker 1: places he hides from everybody else, but he can't hide
- 2:49Speaker 1: him from you. Remind him that real strength is in silence.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Real strength is surrender to you God. Lord, Let him
- 2:57Speaker 1: know that Jesus wept, the Son of God could release
- 3:01Speaker 1: his tears. Then men are always allowed to release theirs.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Show him that his emotions are not weakness, they are
- 3:11Speaker 1: signals pointing to places where you want to bring healing.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Lift the weight off his shoulders. God, break the chains
- 3:18Speaker 1: of silence, suffering. Remind him that he doesn't have to
- 3:22Speaker 1: carry the world because you already do. Lord, poor strengthen
- 3:27Speaker 1: to the men today for couraging to them God, poor peace,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and to them poor identity, and to them. Help them
- 3:34Speaker 1: to know that they are value, that they are loved,
- 3:36Speaker 1: that they are seen. God, help them to know that
- 3:39Speaker 1: they are needed. Father, Let every man listening today feel
- 3:44Speaker 1: the freedom to cry, the freedom to pray, the freedom
- 3:47Speaker 1: to speak, the freedom to break, the freedom to heal,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and the freedom God to grow. Oh God, let them
- 3:55Speaker 1: know that grace is covering them, Mercy is holding them,
- 3:58Speaker 1: and Your love is carrying them. Restore their hearts, God,
- 4:02Speaker 1: renew their minds, rebuild their confidence. And Lord, whisper to
- 4:07Speaker 1: them today, my son, I'm with you. You don't have
- 4:12Speaker 1: to do this alone. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen, Amen, Amen,
